You'll be addicted and addicted fast to the number one tabloid real life podcast. Listen in. Listen up. Woo woo. Hannah McDonald, juicy scoop hello and welcome to Juicy Scoop. Well, there's lots to get into and then I have an interview with a real housewife of Beverly Hills. So let's get into it. First of all, Katy Perry is in some trouble. She is under investigation for alleged sexual assault of Ruby Rose. She's being investigated by the police in Australia. Here is the story. Katy Perry and her boyfriend, former Prime Minister of Canada Justin Thoreau, they were at Coachella just walking around with the kids and she took to social media to make a joke about Justin Bieber's performance in that oh, I guess he got YouTube Premium or something, which kind of a pretty good joke for her. But anyway. And then Ruby Rose wrote back on social media and now to remind you, she was on Orange Is the New Black. She's a model actress. She's kind of got an androgynous look. I haven't really seen her in the news much lately. But anyway, she's very attractive. She then says like, who cares what you think? That freak. And I'm summarizing like you sexually assaulted me at a spice market or at the spice market. Maybe it's a nightclub. You know what? She had some spice market in Melbourne, Australia. And I think I actually imagined her like at an open flea market of spices, which makes this story really weird. But now that I think about it, I bet it's like a nightclub. She said that Katy Perry, she said, pulled her underwear to the side. Katy Perry pulled her own underwear to the side and according to Ruby Rose shoved her ugly vagina in Ruby Rose's face, in which she pushed it away. So now just imagine me reading that story and thinking that they're like someone smelling spices and then like Katy Perry just like you're like, what? No, I'm guessing it's some restaurant, nightclub, something. But anyway, she said she rejected it and whatever and it was awful. And then she said I didn't talk about it for when it happened because Katy Perry was helping me get my visa. Wow, okay. They are her. Katy Perry's. People are saying this never happened. But then the sleuths remembered another Katy Perry groping allegation which happened and that was with Anna Kendrick, went on about it about 10 years ago, went on Conan O' Brien's TV show and talked about how she was at an event, she had a low cut dress on and she said Katy Perry fingered her cleavage and that she didn't ask for it, didn't want it, but also didn't hate it. She's kind of joking. Conan's asking more and more questions about it. And she said the dress was, you know, the way it was. I would have been offended if nobody had tried to finger my cleavage. But it's weird. It's weird. And of course her song I kissed a girl and I liked it. Is this all with it? There's a photo of her with Anner Kendrick joking, grabbing her tit. I find this all very interesting because there was a time. How many times have we seen housewives go and grab each other's boobs and it makes the trailer and let me show you my boob job. And you know, and when Diana Ross very famous moment at like an MTV awards, it was, I think it was Nicki Minaj that had one whole tit out with just like a little star on the nip and Diana Ross just couldn't help herself and she went like this and like flicked the under her underboob just was like, oh my God, like You just have a titty out. And being that it's girls, I don't know, you know, I think it's really interesting about these same sex assault stories that we're hearing more and more about. I'm gonna move this one topic up because I was gonna talk about it later, but the latest on the Tyler Perry case, they're saying, according to tmz, Tyler Perry's accuser, Mario Rodriguez, was mocked in court for playing a minor role. So he is accusing Tyler Perry of sexually assaulting him. That he. That Tyler said he really liked his acting, he put him in a show, and then he. He kept the relationship going, according to Mario, by saying, I'm going to produce your pilot that you wrote, and I think it's so good. And he had him spend the night at his house. And then one of the accounts that I recall is that he woke up to Tyler in his bed or trying to make a move, and these things all happen. And then there were text messages that are very suspicious, not suspicious, but are very inappropriate for a director to have with someone who is his employee acting in his movies. Where it was, you know, I'm horny and I'm this and that. And then the Mario would try to be like, oh, well, hope you get some rest. Then, like, he kept trying to, like, stop the conversation and be like, well, sorry that he's like, I'm horny. I wish. I wish you were here to help me out. And he's like, well, I'm not, but I hope you enjoy reading my pilot script. Like, it was like. It was stuff like that. So he is. This is going on. And I guess at one point, I assume someone on Tyler's legal team mocked the fact that, you know, you're just a thirsty, poor actor that's trying to shake down a big, powerful person and get a paycheck and you get a payday and get some press from it. That is, you know, that is what the defense is always for when a powerful person is accused of essay or being inappropriate with someone. Especially in the movie industry, where there's so much at stake. There is this guy that is an Internet star. He's a streamer. He's got, you know, a lot of people on TikTok and Instagram that follow him. And his name is Clavicular. Okay, that's not his real name, but he went by that name because he is doing this thing called looks maxing. Okay? And it's really about young men wanting to maximize their looks, and they're really obsessed with the jawline and the collarbone. So I'm like, how did he come up with this clever name? Well, it's off of clavicle, which is. Which is his favorite part of his body. Okay. He's obsessed with it. So he's kind of like a rage baiter. You know, like just only sharing about how to get really good looking and get the most. The most muscles, the leanest look, the best jawline. And he is good looking. And then he also a lot of his content is, um, talking about women's looks and stuff, which is where the rage baiting comes. We're like, we hate you. But then trying to get these young men to follow him and love him. And then also girls that I'm sure love him too and like his looks and don't care that he's a misogynistic, stupid dick. Well, anyway, he OD'd while streaming. He OD'd on heroin and I. And now it's come out that, you know, he believed that that heroin is a drug that will help give that heroin chic look and make your collarbones pop out. I bet you're like, heather, I just can't believe, yes, this is the world we live in. Yes, these are the news articles. This is who the youth is following. And I kind of find it juicy and interesting because I dated this guy briefly. He turned out to be a major grifter, scammer. I've talked about him. He. It's in my book. He, like, convinced me to rent him a car. Anyway, it was awful. But he was good looking and he was 38. Now he's 27. And he was bragging that he was a white collar criminal. Like, doesn't that make it sexier? Anyway, I was bored and I met him at a Starbucks. And it was a sunny day in Santa Monica, so we hung out a couple days and I rented him a car, which then was a traumatic experience to try to get it back to the enterprise. Rent a car. Anyway, so he told me that he was a heroin addict. Now he was sober, but he and I go, wow, you look really good for 38. Like, you look younger than 38. You look really cute. And he told me, you know, heroin actually, like, preserves your looks. And I was like, it does. Because I always thought of, like a heroin addict, like, with like sunken eyes and look like heroin. Like, I'm like, no. But actually, then you think of, like, heroin chic, like a model, whatever. Don't do heroin, people. But I guess if you can get off of it, and not be a complete loser addict. You're gonna look better than the person that did meth, where they pick at their skin and their teeth fall out. Like, if you really want to fuck up your looks, you're going to try meth. No one should do any drugs, including vaping and smoking people. But anyway, he crashed out, he passed out, he OD'd and he fell on his face, which that he didn't like because his whole life is about being good looking. But, you know, here's his Instagram and it's just he's got a lot of articles being written about him and, you know, he is the voice of the jawline. Okay, let's get into summer house. Now, this is the story everyone's talking about. Because Amanda, who was married to Kyle Cook, who they had a horrible marriage for 10 years, a horrible relationship, and he's a DJ, and every girl was like, he shouldn't be a DJ. And then he. They're getting. They're breaking up. There's a spin off that we're gonna see. The end of the season is here of the show. And we now know that Wes west and Amanda are couple right now, currently dating each other. And this was a big issue because west dated Sierra, who was Amanda's best friend, who throughout the show has only shown us that she's a fabulous friend to Amanda. They dated Sierra and Wes dated for a while. The whole time, Amanda's married to Kyle, but crying and thinking he's an asshole. And now they're together. So the question is, when did this relationship start? And we get to watch them, and it's pretty suspicious. And at this one scene last night, he's got a cute girl and he's hanging out on like a daybed together outside. You know, they're at the summer house and Amanda's pretty drunk and she comes waddling over and she goes, what you guys doing? Can I come in for a cuddle? Am I crashing your party? And she gets in on the other side of west and he's like, no. And she's like, oh, my God, My husband Kyle Cook is the greatest DJ in all of the Hamptons, and he's playing tonight. And then Wes is like, she's wearing a bikini top and she has a good body and Wes is like grabbing her hair and like playing with it and like tickling her back. And you're. Now we're all like, of course they were fucking. They still have not admitted to when the fucking began, But I think 100% they were fucking. During the summer while they were filming, I don't know where they were meeting, if they were doing it in the city, if they were going on walks at 5 in the morning, I don't know. But it was happening, in my opinion. You know, you just. And then she goes and leaves and says, I gotta go watch my butt when I walk away. Now who the hell says that to a platonic guy friend who's really good friends with your husband and who your best friend used to date? That is gross. People are not liking Amanda's behavior. So then they have this girl Mia on who's new to the cast and also friends with Amanda and Sierra on Watch what Happens Live. And Andy said, what stuck out from tonight's episode that made you say, wow? And she says, so when west was talking to that girl from the party and they're laying on the bed and Amanda comes over and sits with him. So she brings up that, she says, who says, watch my ass as I watch my butt as I walk away. And she said she was absolutely shocked. He's like, how shocked were you? 1 out of 10 to find out that they were actually a couple, west and Amanda. And she said 15. And he said, when do you, when do you think it's, you know, do you believe it started earlier than what they're saying? And she's like, yes, now I do now, watching with my own eyes thinking about it. And she's Team Ciara. And some people believe it shouldn't matter. Sierra dated him so long ago. I think what matters is the deception is her taking all the love and support from Ciara about her shitty marriage to Kyle while the whole time she's secretly getting together with west because it is exciting. It feeds her ego, it, it turns her on, it's secretive. And it was her best friend's dude who the best friend Sierra was still kind of pining for, in my opinion. So it's a fascinating study of psychology, really, honestly, and relationships and friendships and betrayal and cheating. And then to have them all on a reality show and all living together where they would have access to do this. It's almost, it is a real juicy level. I, a lot of people say it's still not the level of scandal of Vanderpump, but it's pretty interesting. And so, and it's a big boost for their show for a lot of people that stopped watching or weren't that interested. Now you're like, I want to see this play out. I talked about the Alex Earl versus Alex Cooper phenomenon of they are fighting these two blonde pretty girls. Alex Cooper having one of the biggest podcast shows and she has her whole unwell network and all of that. She is getting a lot of criticism right now because she has a show called Winter Games and prior to Dakota of of Mormon Wives, of Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, his conflicts with Taylor that have all been played out where she's throwing the barstool from two years ago and then they're trying to get restraining orders against each and all that that's played out. She chose him along with Brooke Nader's ex who was on Real that was on Dancing with the Stars with her, and they're playing pool together and they're both talking very disparagingly about their exes. And the Dancing with the Stars guy says that Brooke Nader was the worst sex he ever had. Now this girl is like a supermodel gorgeous, but some people can be a lazy lay. All right, Some people can maybe not be that great in the sack, but nobody wants it said. And it does seem very anti woman. And so people are saying, you know, this is under her umbrella. She shouldn't have had that scene be in this show. She should have cut it out. It's bad enough that she had these two guys in it. I feel like I don't blame her for the casting. I do think it was gross to keep that. But I also think how much does she really have her hand in every single thing? But maybe this is a lesson too. If you're going to have an image of girls girl and feminism and everything, this probably isn't something that you want. But maybe the argument would be, well, we bash men. You know, like what does it matter? Let's just have it be raw and juicy and let these people be themselves. And if this is what they said. This is what they said. Who cares? I don't know. But she's. We're finding out what's going to happen with her and her former person. That was under her network for a minute. Alex Earl, the big influencer. And Page Six was showing that Alex Earle shared when her friend shared the TikTok about Alex Cooper saying, bring the receipts. I'm sick of you hinting and liking negative shit about me and reposting negative stuff about me. Just come at me in this Alex versus Alex world. And the comments are like, this is a PR stunt. This is for Alex Earl's reality show. No, Alex Cooper is not going to help Alex Earle's reality show. What happened is Alex Cooper chose to address it. Probably not a wise idea. She should rise above it. She still is the better known, more popular person in my opinion. And she's older and so I think she should have not addressed it, though I can understand the frustration of wanting to. And because she did now give Alex Earl a great storyline. She is doing a reality show with her family on E. And this will be captured. And this is juicy. She's in a fight with a big influencer podcaster girl. So. But I don't think they're in it together. Whenever someone has, as someone who's been part of podcast war beefs and, you know, some social media booth beasts and even some Hollywood beef type of whatever where there's been articles written, people have always thought, I think they're in this together. I think this is a PR stunt. It never has been. It, it has never been. Which sometimes why, as someone who does love conspiracy theories, I always go, well, how many people would have to like, get together and be like, this is our plan. No one will ever know the truth. We're going to take this to the grave. It's very, very hard to do. Even with two people. Even with two people. I don't think it happens. So I don't believe that. I believe this stuff happened the way I just said it happened. Now, Real Housewives of Atlanta has an interesting divorce situation happening. Drew Sedora, who's been on the show for a few years, is living in the house with her soon to be ex husband. He lives in the basement and she lives in the rest of the house. And therefore they sort of share the kids, where she'll be like, just go downstairs and see your dad. And she had one child before she married him, and then they have two together. And what's interesting is he was going down this whole route of I'm going to write a book about being an incredible stepdad because they had these heart filled moments where he was wanting to adopt her son but then didn't want to overstep with the dad and like this whole thing. I'm going to write a book about being a stepdad. Well, now he. She has come out and fighting this order that says she has to get out of the house that they all share by May 1st or something because the court is saying that she has to leave. And she said that would leave my son and I, the older son, homeless because he's got will have custody of the two younger ones. I guess because she doesn't make as much as he. She makes 12,000amonth. He makes 71,000amonth because he's a tech executive and does quite well. So that was interesting. It was interesting to hear that she only makes 12,000amonth and it was interesting that he makes that much and what that does. And this splitting the house I guess is now not looking to work in her favor. And then also the whole element with the stepson when she was going to be stepped out of the year, I don't think he will be anymore if, if she doesn't get what she thinks she deserves. Also in the divorce real housewife world, Lisa Hochstein, who was on this show with her boyfriend Jody, they created this divorce app that will help you save money on divorce attorneys and, and give you tips and things and then also can help how to speak to your ex. Well, back in 2023, her ex Lenny, who is the plastic surgeon, he used to have these very sexy Halloween parties with every skinny, big titted girl dressed in, you know, a sexy Halloween outfit would come to their house. And then one day he started fucking one of them. And it all got revealed on the show and they are still going through their divorce and they have two young kids that they share and he is now saying that she tried to put a listening device or did put a listening device on his car in order to listen to his conversations to help with this contentious divorce. And she was arrested and she turned herself in. There was a warrant for arrest and she turned herself in. She made sure the paparazzi was there to see her. And she looks very pretty, glam, full glam in her mugshot. So I don't know if she brought one of those lights with her like I used like to use for my meet and greets. It's a little square light and it just really makes you pop. But she looks good. People should Always just have one of those in their car in case they get pulled over. And you're like, you know what? Before you take this dui, can I just put on a little gloss and get some brightness on my face? Anyway, she's claiming this isn't true and that Lenny is just torturing her again. And he always brings this up before a big court case or custody battle or whatever. And his intentions, this is just the game he plays. And Jody, too, was accused of the same thing. So her boyfriend and, you know, this has just been one of the worst divorces. And they put this whole show on pause or canceled or whatever you want to say. And, I mean, I bet the producers are like, told you, Bravo. Told you. You should have kept us filming. Now, on our other new show, Real Housewives of Rhode Island, I've talked about this and on my Patreon. Oh, please. This Friday's Patreon is going to be real good. If you have a join, you go to heathermcdonald.net and you join. And it's $5 a month, and there's other options, and it's. Nobody ever leaves. Okay. Anyway, this woman I talked about, she. Her name's Rula, and she's a successful financial advisor, and she's got a podiatrist husband. And this other girl, Jo Ellen, let people know in the group as they were filming or came out that there is this woman that posted a photo that's sitting on Ruella's husband's lap. The podiatrist, like, sitting on his lap, posted it to her own Facebook. So it got out. Well, Rula didn't like that. And she's like, you know what? It was a situation between us, and, you know, mind your own business and everything. And Joella said, oh, my God. After I, you know, let her know, and we talked about it because it's fucking on Facebook. She tried to get me fired. Well, Joellen's job is she's a rep for some, like, laser or something that the podiatrist also uses at his doctor's office. I guess maybe it has something to do with feet. I don't know. And she then says to Us Weekly, rula, I did not try to get Joella fired. Because Joella goes, she tried to get me fired for just sharing the fact that your husband's a fucking cheater. And it's on Facebook. I'm not making up lies. A lot of other housewives, they've been desperate for storylines, and they're like, I heard a rumor that you Know, Jackie's husband likes to have fun at the gym when she's not around. Which when that rumor started, I was like, I immediately went to gay. You know, like she's having gay sex, like in the steam room with men at the gym. So it was like a double whammy. And the whole thing wasn't true. Okay, this. So this thing is girls like, no, that's not the case. My husband just had a conversation about Joella because that she reps this, this thing that we use at our office. And I just said, he just, he just said, well, you know, she really doesn't know how to, you know, stay out of people's private business. And therefore I don't think she's very professional. I'm sorry, I think that's fucking with your business. You should keep your mouth shut. You're the one who's cheating. Well, meanwhile, the girl that he cheated with, this is from Bravo and Cock Cocktails. They noticed that she's still posting these things. And one of the posts that she did was, she's like pushing these products or something and she's like writes this woman, the older I get, the more I realize it doesn't, it doesn't get better with time. It gets better with laser and Obajabi skin products, whatever. And the photo is taken in the backyard of the podiatrist and Rula, the housewife's backyard. She also did another post, this mistress, saying, I've been using this for two and a half years. And when you're doing something for two and a half years, and that's like a wink, wink to the world, that's her Taylor Swift, you know, egg drops, what do you call it? Easter eggs. That this affair has been going on for two and a half years. It's weird to brag about that you're having an affair with two and a half years. But clearly she's poking and wants the world to know. And she tagged Bravo in these posts that I am the mistress. It did happen and it went on for a long ass time. And so I'm gonna, you know, puff my chest out about that. And then the other girl, Jo Ellen, she's had a juicy life. According to Bravo by Bitches, they put it all together for us like a little cheat sheet. Her husband dated her sister Jen in high school. So when she met her husband, he was already the ex boyfriend of her sister and was like, I want him. The guy that was dating my sister. And they met in high school. Weird. She was rumored to be a swinger but she says she and her hubby have only had a threesome one time. Well, you know, who hasn't? Besides me. Never had a threesome. Once hooked up with the owner of a tanning salon she worked at and his wife. So she's had other threesomes when she worked at the tan. Sounds like a pretty good employee to me. By the way, I don't know why the podiatrist would try to get her fired. And who would fire her when she's given three subs for you and your wife, though. I hate the smell of a spray tan, so I hope that before they had the threesome, everyone, like, waited two days and took a shower because otherwise that would be. That would also in the spray tan, if you're having a threesome after spray tan, so. Or tanning salon. Even worse, old school tanning salon. I don't know if you've ever gone into one of those where you pull down the thing. I always remember that smell was weird because it was like your skin burning. Anyway, she will have a threesome with you and your wife. So this is the new show, people. This is the new show on Bravo, Real Housewives of Rhode Island. Pretty fucking juicy. Also, Lena Dunham of Girls makes me want to go back and watch the show Girls. I see a lot of clips of it. It was on hbo. It was the millennial version of Sex and the City of these girls in New York. And Lena Dunham is a very funny writer and actor. She's very entertaining to watch. This is her second book, I believe, because her first one was controversial as well. It was more about her childhood. And this one is called a memoir. And she gets into it about. She talks about Adam Driver, who played her boyfriend in the show, which was. It was a juicy. You know, what it was is like, you know, you're watching her and she's not conventionally attractive, but in the show, she just, like a man, would write herself all these great romances and all these hot guys. But also they would like, they'd have weird. They'd treat her like shit or. She took a lot from her own life into this character. But it was kind of fascinating because you're like, wow, I don't think a normal girl, a girl like this, we never really seen a girl like this. And. And so because of that, because she wasn't the conventional girl that we saw on tv, she got a lot of hate online about her life and her sex life and what she showed. I remember one episode she was with this dating a Cute doctor. And she was just playing ping pong with him in topless and a pair of like bikini bottoms. And she just had so much confidence about her body and it was very controversial. And so she wrote a book and she talks about Adam Driver and that he threw something at her and that he comes off apparently very poorly in this book. And some people come off great and some people come off okay and some come off awful. And she is sharing how herself cheated on her own husband with like a middle school crush that she ran into later in life. And she's just extremely authentic. So I kind of am very excited to read that book for old school people. Heather Locklear is dating Lorenzo Lamas. Okay? They are both in their 60s and someone wrote, oh my God, the Dynasty, Dynasty and the Colbys. Or she. They were on these shows back then that were like these nighttime soap operas. He's been married six or seven times. His daughter, Shane Lamas, very pretty, blonde, she was on my show. And she's divorced from Nick Richie, who is, you know, very controversial. And he was on my show as well. Anyway, Lorenzo's been married like six or seven times. And they met Heather's daughter Ava, who is getting married if she hasn't gotten married already. And she's very happy. And she's been divorced twice and had some long term relationships. They are both hot. They both probably have a lot to fucking talk about from the 80s and the 90s. And I think it's kind of juicy and kind of fun. Also in the Kanye west world, Kanye west is being sued for allegedly sucker punching a man at the Chateau Marmont last year. According to a lawsuit filed in la, the suit alleges that the rapper repeatedly struck the man as he lay on the ground at iconic West Hollywood. Now, the only reason I. Well, I mean, this is interesting, but just to make it about me, it was a Chateau Marmont where I went that infamous night and hung out with Britney Spears. And that same night Kanye was in the same, like loungey area with Bianca. And they, you know, she talked to them and she was, you know, doing a crazy thing and it was quite a night. And so I wasn't. I did not witness him sucker punch anybody, but I know he likes to frequent that place. So I'm kind of curious to see where this case goes and, you know, if in fact it was true and what evidence there is. But, you know, just when you think Kanye's doing great and then Blake Lively, apparently people are speculating, will her career ever recover from the lawsuit with Justin Baldoni, as you know, she pretty much lost it. We had Zach explain the whole thing. Her main, her main lawsuit is down to only the three things out of the 10, which we don't know what's going to happen with that. But how do we think they all will recover from this? Will she have to make a huge payout to Justin Baldoni? How will people feel about now? Everything we know about Blake and Ryan and our opinion when again, if she would have just been quiet, let these rumblings happen about her and just chill out. Put the phone away, take a yoga class. Wait a minute. I just think, wow, this is a lesson to be learned. This was something I don't think she thought through. I do think it's going to have long term repercussions about her career. But I also see her working again in a few years. They're both so rich. I think Ryan Reynolds, I think more his career is going to suffer because also I think he's getting to an age where his weird quirkiness has just kind of run its course and his like dumb cadence and his dumb stories and who knows? I think Ryan Reynolds and, and Blake Lively just need to take a year or two off and then come back and just do like an old fashioned sitcom as a couple. Let's just see that. Go back to the two guys in a pizza girl show that he did and just go back to their roots and do like normal tv like she did Gossip Girl and he did the sitcom. Watch. That's what they do. They just do something together or they'll get divorced. Who knows? Well, now, you guys, I know I've wondered about this cast member on Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, it's Natalie. And we wondered why she wasn't featured that much, how this happens in a show like this. And I'm very excited because I got to sit down with her and she is not part of the reunion. And so this is her reunion and we get into everything about some of the most controversial scenes of the season and what was really going behind the scenes. So everybody get ready for a juicy one. I am very excited, especially for my Real Housewife fans, because we are gonna get the real scoop from the infamous but little known about star of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Natalie.
B
Hi, Hannah.
A
Welcome to Juicy Scoop.
B
Hi. I talk. I actually speak.
A
I'm very excited that you're here. I'm excited that you guys approached Juicy Scoop to be on and you wanted to tell me how that came about. The Juicy Scooper is the one who's responsible.
B
Who's your friend? Well, my best friend Alice, who's a big fan of yours in North Carolina, said that you were talking about me and that I was mentioned and I was like, wow, that's wild. And so I thought, I thought we should hang out.
A
Absolutely. Cause I had said, oh my gosh, you know, there's this woman on there that's cute and she's on the Italy trip and we just see her and there was probably, we'll get into some of the stuff that you were involved in and people are like, why is this. Who is this Natalie person? And it's very interesting, you know, the production of how that could happen, how you could be asked to be on the show. But then based on the trajectory of the other women and their storylines, if you're not in conflict with them or you don't have a direct thing, then you just were not featured that much yet. You're there. And I was like, that is just. I want to hear from you and like your story because we really don't know anything about you.
B
Yeah.
A
So let's just start about your life in general. Right now. You are going through a divorce.
B
I'm going through a divorce. I am the mother of three daughters. I have a 15 year old and 10 year old twins. My twins came on my older daughter's birthday. So all three ladies have the same birthday.
A
That's crazy.
B
Strong opinions. So I'm very used to sitting around a table, you know, hearing all about it. I, you know, I'm in a new phase of my life. You know, I was in a 20 year plus relationship and very much.
A
And your ex husband to be. He is the father of all three kids and he is Simon Fuller who created American Idol.
B
American Idol. The Spice Girls brand Beckham.
A
So he is English?
B
He is English, yes.
A
Okay. And how did you guys meet?
B
Oh my God. We met a million years ago when I was cocktailing at the Four Seasons in la. Yeah. And he was pitching American Idol.
A
See, I'm gonna tell you right now. If I was a producer and maybe this scene was filmed.
B
No, no, I don't think I talked about it.
A
That should have been a conversation that you have with Erica.
B
We actually, you know what? I think we did talk about it. The last night in Italy. We talked about it. But do you know what's funny?
A
It's Erica. Just to remind people, Erica met her now ex husband. She was a young woman at Chasen's, which was a very high end restaurant just like the Four Seasons.
B
Right. Maybe it doesn't go well. Let us still. But I think, let us be a lesson.
A
But I think that is interesting. You know, when a young pretty girl is working, they always say that like, you know, if you want to meet people like go to the States.
B
I would never talk to anyone in there. But you know who I used to. My fellow cocktail waitress was. Was Sebastian Maniscalco.
A
He was a cocktail waitress.
B
He was a waiter at. Yeah, we cocktailed together at the Four
A
Seasons in Beverly Hills.
B
Yeah.
A
Oh my God.
B
And my best friend Alice, who is why I'm sitting here today. We're. Isn't that funny?
A
Well, I remember going to the Four Seasons a lot.
B
Yeah. It was a thing.
A
It's where I saw Jerry Seinfeld and I approached him and made ass because I thought, seize the day.
B
Yeah.
A
And he needs to know.
B
He'd be excited about it.
A
That this pretty funny woman could be his next, you know, girlfriend.
B
Right.
A
And his loss. Yeah. And he did end the conversation with Heather. I thought you said when you got your drink you would take it and leave. And I go, oh my God. And then I struggled to pay, as if he needed me to pay. It was horrifying. It'll still horrify me. But Four Seasons was kind of a happening spot. I felt it was a good place for another book. That's a whole nother book.
B
That is a whole nother book. But it was a long time ago.
A
So you guys got married when you were then quite young. Cause you have a good age difference as well, right?
B
We got married. We were together for seven years before we got married. And I Think, you know, we've been married for about 18 years now, so we've been together.
A
But how old were you when you met him?
B
I was 24, 25.
A
That's young. Cause he was already in his 40s, right?
B
Yeah. We have a 14 year age difference. And you know, something I talk about on the show that doesn't really air is, you know, this summer I turned 50 and it was like this big moment for me where I was like, whoa, how did. Where did it all? Like, what happened? And so I think I very much had the energy on the show of someone who was like, yay, let's live.
A
Right. So the marriage didn't work out. Is the divorce going okay?
B
It's going okay. I think we're getting divorced. We're not getting married. I know married couples that things are not going okay, right?
A
Exactly. Okay. Yeah.
B
I think we'll. We will be together forever because we have kids together and, you know, it's just a process. And the thing I've learned about divorce is you can talk to all of your girlfriends about it and everyone has a completely different set of circumstances and you can bond together over an experience, but they are all very different, which is so interesting.
A
So. And I want to get into, you know, really what the season was about was really about Dorit's challenge of getting divorced from pk.
B
Right.
A
And you know, how she felt some were supporting her or not or questioning it. I wanna get into that in a minute, but first I wanna hear, how did you decide to film with the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills?
B
Okay, well, so this is something that I think is interesting to fans is it kind of came up as they were just starting filming and I agreed to do it, but I had already planned a month long trip to Europe with my kids. Like, I was going, so I had filmed a lunch with Rachel that never got used. And then I just left for a month and came back. And I sort of come in halfway through the season because I was gone.
A
How. What was your relationship with watching the show? And, you know, oh, my God. Did you ever think you would do it or want to do it?
B
You know, I haven't really watched the show.
A
Okay, so then how did they find you? What was the connection of how they approached you to be on it?
B
It sort of came about organically and we had conversations and I thought, interesting, fun experience to have. You know, I'm very much in this point where I'm saying yes to things I never thought I would do. You know, I lived a very private Life, you know, the. The first time I filmed, I felt like I was running down Sunset Boulevard naked. I was like, what am I doing right now? But I also think it was a wildly cool experience to do.
A
So when you were waitressing at the Four Seasons with Sebastian, aspiring comedian and actor. Were you an aspiring actor? What was like your life goal before falling in love and having kids?
B
I grew up on Vancouver island and I was a dual citizen. So I just.
A
On what island?
B
Vancouver Island.
A
Oh, Vancouver. Sorry.
B
I'm half Canadian and I just moved down and was kind of figuring things out. Of course, like any young 20 year old, sure, I did some commercials. I did.
A
Not every 20 year old has done commercials. So that already shows that you did have a level of success. A lot of people can't get agents. A lot of people can't book anything. So you were exploring.
B
I was exploring. And I've always been a creative person and I've changed interests and creative goals several times in my life. I like exploring different things. So that was all going on. It wasn't, you know, it wasn't something that I ended up pursuing. And at this point that felt. That feels right. But yeah, I had some experience in that area and with the show, I thought it was kind of a fun moment to step back into something like that and reintroduce myself to people because I think I've always been known as Simon's wife and Simon's very private and it just felt like a nice opportunity. I don't think I really thought about it that much and I really, I mean, of course I knew what the show was and I maybe had watched it early and so I knew who Kyle was and I knew. I remember her sister being on it, but I really didn't know what went on. So the first dinner I went to when everything, you know, at Rachel's house and it was just this wild dinner and I was just like, oh my God, what is happening right now?
A
So the first. So going back a second. So how did they approach you? You got a call. Did you have to do a zoom interview? Did you do an interview in person?
B
I did a Zoom conversation and I was at the. My daughters are equestrian. So I was at the barn, like literally with a horse behind me and no makeup. It was 100 degrees and I was just talking to Alex Basket and then I was like, I don't know if I'm right for the show. I don't know if you guys are right for me. Let's talk about it. And. And then it ended up happening. So I was like, okay. And as I said then, I just went to Europe for almost a month and forgot all about it and came back and showed up at that dinner,
A
and they said, come, come, and we're gonna mic you and just be yourself.
B
And, yeah, I had filmed one thing before I left. Like, I'd filmed a lunch with Rachel or.
A
And so I can't remember what went down at the first Rachel dinner.
B
That was when Amanda walked out and there was, you know. Oh.
A
About the death of her infant.
B
I mean, I, towards the end of the night, was just eating cheese in the kitchen. I was like, eating my feelings, and I'm like, what is going on here?
A
Oh, wow.
B
And it's funny. I watch it back and my face looks so confused. I'm just like.
A
And also, I remember there was a moment with you where you referenced getting a happy ending at a massage.
B
Oh, yeah.
A
Is that true? No. Oh.
B
I said I had a massage that got intimate with a very hot masseuse. And Erica responded by saying, oh, I've had a happy ending. And then it kind of spread. I mean, I definitely told a sexy story. I did not use the words happy ending in relation to myself.
A
You know, okay, got it.
B
But whatever. Who cares if I did?
A
Yeah.
B
Yeah, he was hot. And a great time was had by all. I was actually surprised that it was, like, such a shocker. Like, you know, I.
A
Well, I've always. What? I remember I had an executive producer who claimed that she had a happy ending. And I remember there was a whole, like, Sex of the City episode where Kim Cattrall's character is, like, telling.
B
Gets out, and then she and everybody's
A
going for their happy ending. And so I think it is, like, a kind of funny thing. I wonder if how often that really happens.
B
That's why I told. I mean, first of all, it had just happened. I just landed and come home. If. If I went to that dinner six months later, I'm sure it would not have come up, but I was still like, woo.
A
So it happened in Europe.
B
Yes, it happened in Europe. And that even makes more sense. I'm not going to say where, but. Okay. But I think I started it by saying I thought this was an urban legend, but it turns out, like, I had a massage that got intimate and, you know, so I very purposely left it at that. So I definitely did not say happy ending. But I'm also not judging anyone who said happy ending. Like, yay, whatever.
A
Yeah. Oh, my God. Amazing. Okay, so.
B
But I was surprised because I think, like, People were shocked by that. I'm like, I am not a virgin. I. Yeah, I'm a single woman who's dating. Like, who cares.
A
Exactly.
B
Good for me.
A
So in doing the show, then, I felt like I said it, really. I would sum up the season as Dorit versus Kyle. Are they ever gonna get back on track? You know, they were both married for a long time. They were a fun foursome. We liked their dynamic on camera, and now they're both getting divorced. But Kyle has this unconventional breakup where I'm sure. I've seen. You've seen it. I've seen it. You know, when couples have been married a long time, they just are like, who cares? And they don't want to split up the assets.
B
Right.
A
Doesn't work for a lot of people, and I don't think it works forever.
B
Well, as. As I said, everyone's. Everyone's got its pile of crap to deal with, and it's hard to. You know, it's hard to compare.
A
And in the concern talk for Dorit that Kyle and other people say, that pisses her off and is that she shouldn't be talking negatively about PK and she shouldn't be spending the way she's spending. But recently somebody wrote something, and I don't know where I read it, but I thought it was interesting. And they're like, well, sometimes a divorce attorney will tell the one that's not making as much money, make sure that you keep it up, that you don't get another job. If you're a stay at home mom, don't now go get. Don't now start nursing again. When you haven't been a nurse for 15 years, establish that this is how much you need to live on every month. And, you know, no matter what your economic thing is. So maybe that was where she was like, yeah, I'm not going to stop my spending, and I'm not going to be thinking about what's good for PK and it did seem, if I was in Dorit's position, that you kind of are in cahoots with my exact. And why are you talking to him? And why are you influencing the other women that, like, oh, I shouldn't be spending them out? Like, it's none of your business.
B
Right.
A
And so I kind of, in this case was. I did believe there was a concern because if you didn't really think about all the elements, you're like, maybe she shouldn't be spending. Like, the gravy train might stop. She might want to save some money. I get that. Element too.
B
Yeah.
A
But then having it all be public then also isn't easy to navigate a divorce.
B
Complicated. You know, as I said, I, I, these are new friendships, so it's hard for me to have like a in depth perspective on all of that and, and the history of their friendships and whatever I, I can say. Watching them fight, you know, it felt really painful. Even from somebody who's very new to the dynamic, you know, it's hard. It was hard. It felt hard to be, to witness. I can't imagine, you know, I feel for all of them.
A
And then when you guys go to Italy. So were you excited to go on the Italy trip?
B
I was, I just, I had just gotten back and had a great time. So I was like, hey, let's go.
A
And was the mansion, castle, whatever. It was as amazing.
B
It was amazing. The Stefano who ran the house was hilarious and so like the happiest Italian you've ever met in your whole life. Like, was a really, it was a really great trip. It was a lot, like, it was a lot of ladies and you know, a lot of late nights and a lot of outfits and, you know, there was a lot going on.
A
You're wearing jeans in a tank. You have like a very natural beauty look about you. You're very pretty, but you're very like low key, natural, low maintenance and so did you think I need to get professional hair and makeup for these scenes or.
B
No? No, I mean, I think if I was on the show and more of a, you know. No, I think, you know, I'm.
A
You did all your hair, your own hair and makeup and everything.
B
Yeah.
A
And what about in planning your outfits for this Italy trip, did you bring a lot more than you normally would because you are filming?
B
I didn't bring too much. I wore most of what I had with me and I went to Paris after everyone else flew home and I actually spent three days in Paris. Cause I just, with my custody schedule, I didn't have the kids back. So I, you know, I, I didn't have a ton of luggage. I liked all my outfits. I thought they were cool. And especially being new on the show, I think it would have felt out of character or out of place or over the top for me, personally.
A
Yeah.
B
In my position to show up with a glam squad.
A
Right.
B
I sure did wish I had one when I was there.
A
Did they, did anybody fly out their own glam squad or were they people from Italy?
B
I can't, I can't really comment exactly. I don't know, you know, but no There was, you know, there was definitely people that had some. There was some who didn't, I think. I don't know. But I thought everyone looked amazing. And for me, I'm comfortable. I am kind of low key that way. So, you know, who doesn't love glam? But it would have. It would have seemed a lot for me to bring someone.
A
So the one conflict thing that you got kind of sucked into, which was, boy, did I dumb.
B
It was a storm in an Italian teacup.
A
It was like.
B
So. So can I tell you what the real crime was?
A
Okay, wait, let me first set it up for the people that may not remember. So you guys are shopping in Italy, like, in the street, and there's those weird, like, opera mask things with the long noses and stuff. And. And someone. And it's Bose and you, right? Bose says, you said, oh, which one would be Pinocchio? We should all get a mask. And you go, which one should be Pinocchio? Just funny because they have these long noses. And then she says, Natalie.
B
No, she says Amanda.
A
I'm sorry, Sor. Not Natalie. She says Amanda.
B
Yeah, she said Natalie.
A
No, she says Amanda.
B
That would have been better.
A
And everyone just goes, ha, ha. Okay, so now tell me what really happened, because that became a big issue between Bose and Amanda.
B
So the night before the villa, one of the cool things it had was this big theater. So they had an opera the night before. There's this incredible theater that Dorit was very late for. Yeah, yeah.
A
Was the lateness a real issue?
B
Heather, you're talking to a Virgo. I'm five minutes early for everything, so
A
I'm early for everything.
B
Yeah, I'm so. I can't.
A
I always say people are either five minutes early slash on time, or they're always 15 minutes late.
B
Yeah.
A
Or they're like an hour and 15 minutes late and they don't care.
B
Yeah.
A
And there's no one in between.
B
Right.
A
Those three different types of. Those are the three people in the world.
B
No, no, I'm early on time. It's impossible for me to actually be late. I've tried before. And I start, like, getting anxious.
A
Even with a party. My husband would be like, no. I'm like, well, it starts at seven. He's like, we cannot be there right at seven. And then I just saw, like, an etiquette thing that said, if you're going
B
to someone's house, give it 10 minutes.
A
Don't ever be there. Be 15 minutes after the time.
B
They say, I know, I know, but I still show up on time. I know, me too. I start like, helping. Helping to set up.
A
Yeah, yeah.
B
Like, do you have ice? Like, what can I do? Okay, so continue. So that next morning we all go shopping and we start by going to the Ponte Vecchio. And really, for me, like, it was the first time I'd filmed publicly. Like, I'd filmed in people's homes and there was fans out on the street. So I was like a little like, okay, you know, I guess I'm on the show now. Like, they're gonna know I'm here. You know, it was like. So I kind of was having a bit of that moment. And we all stand and take a picture. And you're right, there's the kiosk selling those masks. And I say, we should all buy some masks and take them back and do a. Like, I was like, wouldn't it be fun if we did like a theater performance? Yeah, like, that's. I wasn't thinking about anyone else or I was not setting up a joke, you know, I was like. And Bo said something under her breath. She said Amanda's name and I heard it and kind of clocked it and walked away. I didn't think it was a big deal. I've probably said, you know, like, I say dumb stuff all the time. It wasn't abject or overt or whatever. And so shortly after, we're walking down the street to go into Bottega Veneta and Kyle and Amanda asked me about it and I say, yes. Yeah, I heard it. And again, not thinking that, it's like, I'm like, a big deal. A big deal. And I think they felt differently about it. And I was like, okay, I heard it. But the real problem is I couldn't go into Bottega then and buy my tax free handbag. Like, I had big. And I was like, what just happened? And I couldn't. I really wanted a bag. And I'm very upset about it still. Like, this is bullshit, right? Yeah, ask Bose. Don't ask me. Like, sure. And so, you know, it kind of snowballed from there. And I think the part that watching it back was interesting because there was no point in that day that I didn't say I heard the name Amanda. But clearly in the evening, it kind of. It was a longer conversation, obviously, but it kind of got to a place where I was being asked what. What it meant, what. What the joke was, what the joke meant. And I didn't really feel like it was my place or responsibility to give context to words that were not mine. And I think that's. I could have been clearer about that, or I should have been more direct and shut it down immediately.
A
But.
B
But it. I mean, for me, I can. I can take a joke. I'm often making jokes at my own expense. I'm not sensitive, but I don't like being called. My integrity being questioned.
A
Yeah. At one point, didn't they say, you're lying?
B
Yeah.
A
Or you're a liar.
B
And the irony was. Is, like, I would. You know, I don't.
A
Why. About one. Like, what do I have?
B
Like, yeah, I think at one point on the show, like, the way that it made it to air, I'm saying something in the evening. Like, I did not say it. I did not say it. But the full sentence was, I didn't say her name. So why do you want me to explain what it meant?
A
You know? Right.
B
Not. Not that we weren't sitting there that night. And I'm saying I didn't hear Amanda. Like, that never happened. Like, clearly, I said the whole time.
A
But, I mean, it is.
B
As it got bigger and bigger, I was like, why is this my responsibility? Like, I can't.
A
While watching it, I was like, this is confusing. I want to jump into the scene and be like, it was a throwaway dumb line. The masks have long noses.
B
All.
A
All of them had long noses. No one was the Pinocchio. It doesn't matter. Like, whatever.
B
You know, why am I being asked? Right. Like, go ask Bozo. She said it. And Bo said she didn't recall saying it. Then, you know, like, all. Yeah, not my monkey, not my circus.
A
Right. Well, they. They had. The two of them kind of had their thing going all season, too, about, you know, what her business is. And. And, you know, what are these manifestation classes? And it's like, you know, and also being like, oh, I don't think she should say that. She makes so much more than her husband, and her husband doesn't make that much money. I'm like, well, maybe you didn't give your husband your course. Why didn't she let your husband take your course for free? Give him a discount. Don't make him pay the full 7500. Just give him. Have him give him.
B
Is it 7500?
A
I don't know. But I just was like, stop talking about that. Your husband doesn't make that much money, because you should be saying, he should be. He should be making just as much because if he manifested, he'll be making just as much, just like you.
B
Yeah.
A
Yeah. I think that was Just all so.
B
Yeah.
A
Crazy.
B
Yeah, it was. And I. You know, as I said, the real issue for me is that I was so distracted and I didn't get my fucking Italian handbag at the end of it.
A
Yeah. And that would be a bummer because
B
that is the point of.
A
Because I was asking about that. I haven't done that much travel, but I'm like, is it, you know, really financially worth it to buy in Italy over la? Yeah, for sure.
B
Oh, it is.
A
Like, you'll save, like, what, like a third confessional?
B
Holding up her Bottega bag. I was like, no, man. Oh, no. Give it to me. Like, you owe me a bag, you guys. Amanda, manifest me a handbag, please.
A
Right. And so that's kind of the point, like, of going. And so it wasn't that, like, crazy. But then again, getting on, you know, Dorit. And then what was it in that? Dorit left you guys where you didn't have. I think that was the car service or the cars at. In Italy, didn't she?
B
Like, that was Erica and Kyle and Dorit. They went off and did their own thing.
A
I forgot and got the gelato.
B
Yes. Where were we? We had done this. We had. We'd gone. Wine taste or. No, we were squishing the grapes while that all went on.
A
Yeah. And was that free fun?
B
It was fun. Yeah. Actually, you know what? I had a nice time with Amanda that day. Like, she and I were in a barrel together. I think I grabbed a handful of Louis Vuitton because I was about to fall out.
A
Yeah.
B
Like, we had. We had fun. It was cute. She.
A
I mean, I think she seems very authentic and nice, and this is her business and she makes money at it. And if anything, I'm sure she's doubled her amount of people since she started.
B
Without a doubt. Yeah.
A
So it all worked out for her.
B
I actually enjoyed, like, riding a bike and stomping grapes. Like that, to me, was a moment that I felt like we actually hung out, you know, and in those moments, I enjoyed her, you know, and so
A
you got to get to know her. Did you know anyone prior to filming?
B
I've known Rachel, you know, socially. We have kids the same age. You know, part of my husband's or exactly. At some point, ex husbands, but so we. We had some fashion brands. Victoria Beckham, Roland Marais. And so, you know, I've been around the fashion world and.
A
Oh, interesting.
B
For quite some time. And, you know, I've known her from a few different things, like, so no one else I really knew. And I As I said, I didn't. I made a decision. I'm familiar with the show and I'd seen it early on, but I made a decision to not watch the seasons leading up to it because I really wanted to meet everyone and not have to think. I think. Right.
A
I think that's really smart. And, you know, I don't know, in
B
hindsight, was it stupid?
A
I don't know. Maybe not. I don't know. I think being authentic is what we want. But at this point, yeah, maybe a little more backstory of like, oh, I could connect. Okay, you know what? This is what I would have told you had we talked. I would have said, yes, you actually should watch it. And you should try to find a way of what you do have in common with some of these women so that you could have some scenes and stuff so that you don't end up not being featured at all because you spent this time being on it.
B
Came in halfway too as well. And when I arrived, like, it was already. There was just specific things going on. And it would have been weird for me to show up to dinner, put my handbag down and been like bitching everyone out. Like, that would have been very odd.
A
Right. When you're really playing a reality show and you're like new to a girl's dinner, you're not gonna be the one that's gonna take over. You're not gonna be the one that jumps in and it's like, now Wayne is wedding. Yeah, like, exactly. And so we also do see that Rachel Zoe is going through her 27 year divorce and she's very unhappy that her ex husband to be has a girlfriend and has introduced the girlfriend to the sons.
B
Right.
A
And now that girlfriend has now spoken.
B
Yeah.
A
And you know, it's, it's again, it's why I think these shows are interesting and why I appreciate the women sharing their lives. Is everybody that's a woman, you know, of a certain age that's been married, divorced, or had a friend that's been. We've all been through that.
B
Right.
A
Where we've known someone and you're like, should I be friends with, you know, like. Or you're now the couple that's all of a sudden, oh, my God, he's bringing another girlfriend. I hit it off with the one before. Like, I feel weird. And all that kind of stuff is sort of interesting.
B
And two people take sides.
A
Yeah.
B
And.
A
But then also, you know, when people say, I don't think she should be bashing her ex on camera. Do you want them to be real or not? Do you want us to be authentic or not?
B
People going through a divorce should do whatever the fuck feels right to them and, you know, and just let them do it. It's a process. And everyone. Everyone does it in their own way.
A
And if you're a woman going through divorce with friends that you've had for a while, you better fucking believe cameras are not. You're going to talk about it. He's not exactly. He's not your husband that you're protecting anymore. You are ending the marriage. Like, if you feel like you want to share it, yeah, you're going to and it. And no.
B
And the truth is, there's a lot of hurt feelings in a divorce. You're. You know, I view my marriage as very successful. It went on for a long time, but things end. And the process of packing that all up emotionally is huge. You're putting an end, and people have a lot of feelings about it. People have a lot of opinions. And I think it does take a while before it all calms down for everyone.
A
So you're filming it from the second half on. And when did you realize actually, you're just gonna be this cute girl in the corner that we don't hear from that much.
B
And watching it back, I didn't think that I was gonna be, you know, front and center. Anyway, I come on as a friend of, you know, I come on as a friend of Happy birthday.
A
But you did do, like, the opening credits with, like, the pretty dress and the hair and the makeup.
B
Yeah, I'm somewhere in between. Yeah. But it's out of my control. I don't know. You know, I have no idea.
A
And so once you started filming, did your. Were people reaching out?
B
Yes, it was really interesting.
A
That was fake fans and people that watch the show kind of being curious
B
and, like, people I've known for 30 years that are, like, scattered throughout the world, like, they were like, oh, my God, I saw you on television. What are you doing? And that was actually one of the really cute things about it. I kind of heard from several people that I haven't connected with in a long time.
A
And how did your kids feel? Were they ever gonna be on camera?
B
Not as a friend of. I mean, I think in a world, if I was to continue on the show, which, who knows, if. If. If the fans want me on, if the network wants me on, if I want to do it, I think I would include them down the line. But certainly, you know, as I said, I'm in the middle of a divorce. I. I wouldn't even. I wouldn't even put my ex in the position to be like, can I? You know, in my family, in my situation, I wouldn't have asked that right out of the gate without having the experience myself and knowing what it was and.
A
But did you let him know by the way I'm going to be and what was his thoughts?
B
I'm not gonna.
A
Not thrilled.
B
You know, I don't think anybody would be thrilled about it. Yeah, you know, he came around, but I think it was a shock to a lot of people. As I said, you know, I've lived a very private life and, you know, I think it was a surprise.
A
You know, I think it is interesting.
B
I thought it was really funny.
A
Yeah, I mean, I think it's really interesting when there are people, women especially in this point in their life where they're like, you know what? It fell into my lap and I just felt like, why not?
B
Yeah, I just. Fuck. Yeah. Like, I do to a lot of things right now. And also, maybe not in the US but in the uk, Simon's much more known and I feel like a long time ago when we were married or dating, people knew my name, but they knew absolutely nothing about me. And I thought, okay, well, let me do this. You know, what's the worst that can happen? Nothing. And it actually ended up being a super cool experience. I think each woman on this show is really brave, really fascinating, and I really liked meeting everyone and I thought it was cool.
A
And what about the process of, you know, arriving cold mic pack on your bra, the cameras. Are you one of those people that did eventually, like they say, kind of forget that the cameras are there and really like, live in the moment?
B
I mean, the first time I filmed, I was very much like, it felt very out of body to me. They didn't actually even use it. I'm sure I was just like, ah. But no, you film for a while and you forget about it and. And they film a lot more than they use of everyone. You know, there's the entire last day of Italy got cut. There was a whole day, an evening and dinner that never appeared or.
A
Oh, and did anything juicy happen there?
B
I think something juicy always happens. But I feel bad for the editors. Like, who, Who's.
A
How do you. Who goes through. I know, I always think about that too, because, I mean, it has to so much.
B
Has to be so much in so many different angles and, you know, right.
A
Editing is incredible.
B
And then it's funny to see what they use. Like, you know, I at Home, I have a champagne saber. And so, like, when I open a bottle of champagne at home. Which you do often. I have a sword.
A
Wait, really?
B
Oh, yeah.
A
Wait, do you go out to your backyard then and do it?
B
I do it from the patio. I teach people to do it. Like, it's. You know, it's a whole thing at my house. It.
A
Does it work? So, okay, you have a champagne.
B
I will show you sometime.
A
So it just picks up the cork at the bottom and then goes.
B
Yeah, you get this big sword. Actually, the sommelier from the French Laundry sent me mine. So at the villa, they take us, a few of us wine tasting, and he comes out with the same sword I have at home. And he's like, I'm gonna open it. I was like, girl, let me do it. So, you know, and, like, there's just weird things that happen. I think they used it in the trailer. So I'm like, in the trailer for a second with a sword, right? Like, what the fuck am I doing? It makes me laugh. But I could see how fans are like, what is this chick do? Why does she have a sword?
A
And so with all of that, like, you know, doing it and taking. Oh. What I was gonna say is I had another friend that did Golden Bachelorette, okay. Or Golden Bachelor okay. And, you know, it was the same thing. She was never, like. She was kind of in the fashion world before she had her three kids. And she was very beautiful, but never. Never wanted to be. It was always the one that was, like, pushing me to be the comedian friend. And it was kind of the same thing in that she didn't seek it out. People had. The other girls had been trying out for a year and doing all these interviews, and then somehow they found her, and she was like, well, I just feel like the. You know, the stars are aligned. Why not, right? And in the end, she didn't. She didn't work out. She didn't go that far in it. But she did make these great friends. And so she's, like, having dinner with him all the time. Like, yeah, I think having a great time. So it's like all these experiences, maybe they're. The conclusion wasn't what you thought or not, or it leads to something else.
B
Exactly. Yeah, for sure. As I said, I mean, I'm in a place in my life where, you know, I'm kind of redefining my life. And, you know, my kid. I share custody of my children now, you know, and I'm, like, going back to work, going. You know, and I'm like, let's just put ourselves out there and see, see what, what comes in. And I, I did feel, you know, as much as I think they show people having conflict on the show, I think that underneath that there is a camaraderie and a core, you know, mutual understanding and respect, at least of like. But I mean, a shared experience.
A
It's heightened because, like, in real life there's only been like a couple times where I've been with women and it's been like, I'm getting, I'm leaving, I'm leaving. Like, you're pissing me off. And we always then say, oh my God, I had my housewife moment last, like last night. And you kind of wonder what came first, the chicken or the egg?
B
Like, I don't know, but I think it is real. Like, I mean, at that first dinner, as I said, I was just like, the fuck is happening right now? I don't know that I've seen that at a dinner table, you know, and. But it, it's real. It.
A
No, it's definitely real. But I think like, you know, what is interesting is that, you know, if you were having a conflict with somebody, you know, over and over again about the same thing, chances are you probably, yeah, you probably would be like, I'm going to sit out this, this dinner. But that's what we love about it.
B
Yeah.
A
Is because there's friendships. But then also there's a reason to keep coming back because they're doing this thing together, which is very entertaining to watch. And so I saw you at the final, the final episode, I think, which is tonight. And I have not seen it, but they did tell me, here's your release. I went to this pop up, which was for Kathy Hilton's daughter. Nikki's really great. I love her jewelry line.
B
Gorgeous.
A
So cute. Unique and cute. And there was a couple other things there. And I went, not knowing they were filming. I just thought it was another pop up type of a thing at her house. And there is a moment where you guys are all sitting over there and the cameras are gathered and I'm sitting back there with Kate Hudson, who's Britney Spears manager, who's best friends with Nikki.
B
Oh my God, that's who that was. I recognized it.
A
And he's like, I go, I don't know, should we just be sitting and we're trying to like, listen because we're sitting and we're like, you know, having our drinks and little like cute meal or whatever was offered.
B
And he was excited.
A
Yeah, he was. I thought it was Amazing. And I'm like, I don't think we should be watching.
B
I went to get a. At some point because I was like, this is. I'm gonna. This is required.
A
Yeah.
B
And he was standing up there and he said something, because I think they had all started arguing. I talked to you there. Yeah. And he said something like, this is like. And I'm not a basketball fan, but he was like, this is game seven. Like, watching Jordan, I was like, I'm dying right now. I think I know what that means. And that's funny.
A
I think I even might have said like, are you on this? And you're like, yeah, I'm just gonna walk over there. Because I knew, right? Like, I was like, okay. I recognize. I knew there were two new girls, so I was like, well, she's new and you're new. And, you know, Amanda's new and you're new. And, I mean, I love the show, and I'll never, like, get stopped watching it because I think LA and knowing the city being from here makes it so fun.
B
Yeah.
A
And I mean, I think I would love to see more of your life with your kids and. And your next adventure. And I think it was. I think it's interesting. Like, I think the fact that I
B
think I'm very different than a lot of the women on the show. So it's. From the beginning, that's what I was saying to them. Like, it either works or it doesn't, and either way, it's gonna be fun. And, you know, I thought it was really funny. Like, Rachel's party. Like, everyone was, like, laughing that I did the splits. And I'm like, I guess Kyle just about. I'm like, I didn't know Kyle did splits. Like, there's more than two women in the world that, like, get on a dance floor and do the splits. Is there not, like, it was, like, a thing. And I was like, oh, my. And I saw Nico the other day, and I was laughing. I'm like, bitch, this is your fault. Like, you put me on the dance floor with a fabulous gay man. I'm gonna try and show off. Right?
A
Right.
B
Yeah, obviously.
A
I think what's kind of really cool about you is that out of all the people that have been kind of, like, on it as, like, you know, a friend or. Or whatever, or didn't go or only did one season, there was a lot more negativity towards that person of why they disappeared or what weird thing happened. And so you should be grateful for the fact that, yes, they didn't feature you much. But you came off pretty cool and unscathed, too, so I think that's like, a gift.
B
I think that's kind of my personality, though. I don't know that I'm gonna be in there throwing glasses of wine on people, but I'm just, like, kind of ridiculous.
A
Yeah.
B
And funny and light about things, you know?
A
Well, I really enjoyed getting to hear your story and getting to know you a little bit better.
B
Thank you for having me.
A
Whatever happens, I still think it was great that you did it and that you got to just watch this play play out while you're sitting there. And does it make you now, out of curious, out of curiosity, want to go back and, like, have a day in bed with people?
B
I think it would be different, you know, and as I said, I really went in blind and.
A
Because, I mean, on your way back from Italy, you could have watched.
B
I could have. I mean, I probably should have.
A
You should if you're.
B
I still stand by it, though, because
A
your friend did your juicy scoop. Friend from North Carolina. Did she know that you were doing it before you did it?

A

In this episode, Heather McDonald delivers her signature deep dive into the juiciest stories in pop culture and Bravo TV drama.
