Woo woo. Hannah McDonald, juicy scoop. Hello and welcome to Juicy Scoop. So many juicy hot topics, breaking news, and then a fantastic interview I have for you all in one show. You're so lucky. Let's get into it. Breaking news. Karen Reed, we all were wondering who would play her. Well, according to Deadline, it's Elizabeth Banks in a limited series in which she's also an executive producer, will be playing the story of Karen Reed and the trial and everything that went on. I think that's a great choice. It's someone I had not thought of, but she jumped on that and I love that. She's also an ep. So good for her. Also sad news, a story I haven't really covered is the demise of the marriage and what is going on with Kelly Wolfe, who is married to Scott Wolf, the actor. They've been married for a very long time. She, she became famous from being a reality star on the Real World. They have three kids together and they are been separated for a while. She is claiming abuse from him, he is denying it and she has taken to Instagram many times to share very disturbing videos. That does not bode well for her Instagram videos. Screaming at him where she'd be filming it, claiming things where he's nowhere even near her and he's trying to protect his children. He has shared text messages or she's shared a lot of sharing of text messages, including one of their children who took to Instagram who claims that his mother is mentally ill. So unfortunately, according to tmz, Kelly Wolf has been jailed for harassment after a series of alarming Instagram posts. She is in trouble with the law. This is in Utah and she has landed in jail for two misdemeanors after posting a series of disturbing Instagram messages. Hopefully she will get the help that she needs. This is a very hard thing to diagnose or wonder what in fact is going on from afar. But having just seen some of it and seeing the what her family's going through, I think very much she, she needs professional help. So there's that. Today I want to talk to you about romance on Audible. So you guys know how much I love reality TV because it's about love and relationships and let's be real it's about sex oftentimes. And, you know, I love that genre of sex infidelity, affairs. That's what we love most because it is so juicy. It's messy, but it also lets us escape into someone else's passion. And honestly, what better way to compliment that obsession than with a romance audio book? With Audible, it's not just about watching a story unfold. You're actually inside of it. There are so many times when a romance audiobook can just make your life better. I mean, you're driving home from work, maybe it's a long trip, Maybe you're just doing errands. I really like it then because it's like, I get out of Trader Joe's and I do something, and then I'm like, oh, my God, I'm so excited to get back in my car and see what's going on with this couple and their sexy life. You know, sometimes you just need to, like, get in the mood. Maybe you have a special night and with your significant other. Well, there's an audiobook too, to spark that one that your partner can listen with you, which can be really kind of fun. We did that the other night. I was like, come on, let's put this on Peter. And we were, like, making dinner and no one was there. And it was really a different way to kind of like set a fun date night and keep it at home. You don't always need to go out to dinner. You turn this on, you make your own dinner. You can role play. It really kind of gets you in the mood, and it's just a very fun, different thing. Or maybe you need a confidence boost before you go out on a date and possibly fall in love. What better way to get ready and get in the mood, do your makeup, curl your hair, than listen to a romance Audible book. I'm telling you, it is the best. Have a fearless heroine get you in the mood to make this first date something so special. Audible. Romance can be your key to whole new worlds. Okay, so here is really the fun part. Audible lets you explore sides of yourself you might be a little bashful about privately, but you can do it because it's just through your earbuds. So do you have a thing for period romances? Audible has, I'm telling you, like, bodice ripping. Hot. Very descriptive. Puts you out of your head into literally a different period of time. Like, and it is just really fun. And like, I. I just, I. I really like it. Especially when I'm just doing something mundane or I'm working out or on a long walk and just sort of imagine what my neighborhood would have looked like at that time. And even when I go back to like where I was walking, I kind of remember and associate it with that like sexy story I was hearing. Maybe you were into craving fantasy romance, which you can be transported into like entire new realms and fake courts and forbidden enemies and magical love stories. And maybe you just want something more contemporary and grounded. So pop in and experience the highs and lows of modern dating and texting drama and office flings and second chances or whatever. Whatever your preference is. Audible Romance has you covered. So let me tell you about what I'm listening to. So juicy. It's called so My Ex Boyfriend is a Serial Killer. Okay, so you're like, yes, this is obviously up the juicy scoop train of thought. And it's really good. It's really juicy. There's this woman named Sydney and yes, her ex boyfriend has been dragged off to jail because he's in fact a serial killer. Like there's missing posters of women and she's trying to get along and get on with her life. She has very few friends, neighbors are weirded out by her, and then this guy, he's a chef, he's tattooed, but a little like a thirst trap. He comes into the picture and the last thing on her mind is wanting to date. But now she's being kind of asked out and having a romance with him and it gets really juicy because then there are these, you know, sleuths, Internet sleuths, true crime junkies that are really involved in this true crime story of her having dated this in fact serial killer. It's really fun, really good. I thoroughly enjoyed it and I know you will too. And that's just one example of a great audiobook that I am really enjoying. Okay, light happier news. Taylor and Travis are encaged. They she shared it on her own personal Instagram. It went absolutely crazy. He did it in front of a beautiful flower display like Archer at his home. It was the two of them in the photos. It's several photos in a carousel of him down on one knee, her holding his face, a photo of the beautiful ring. And then she wrote, your English teacher and your gym teacher are engaged or getting married. And everyone's so happy for them. I just want to say I predicted it. You're like, Heather, we know they were going to get married. Of course they were going to get married. I'm not saying that. I'm saying the kind of engagement they had last week when I had Chris Frangiola on, we talked about when do we think they'll get married and how will they get married. We both played around the idea would they do something public? And we both said, no, we don't think they would.
B
He.
A
And you're gonna hear what I said right here. Do you think it'll ever happen in a showy way, like on stage or anything? No, it'll happen like one of the. Just like an average girl. Like we did a thing. Yeah, he did a thing.
B
He did.
A
Let's hope she's not that pretty. She's Pretty. Yeah, Right. I don't think they're gonna be doing anything public. I don't think I'm gonna say this at the risk of sounding crazy, but I think they're both too classy for that. And I'm right. She basically did what every girl does. Does. Goes to their Instagram, does a carousel of photos, and then writes something like, he did a thing, which basically she did. She probably thought, this is what I'm gonna do as my caption. A year and a half ago, when people. She probably saw some comment where someone said, this reminds me of an English teacher and a gym teacher falling in love at the school and everyone being happy about it because they are both so wholesome, so likable, and they really showed their attraction for each other and their chemistry when she went on his podcast. Do I think there it's coincidental that when she finally agreed to go on a podcast, she finally got that big damn ring? No, I don't. I don't know. I'm just saying she finally went on it, and then he got down on one knee. There is a little bit of talk. Were they engaged a couple weeks ago? Is this old? And. And then she went on the podcast. Like she said, give me the ring and then I'll go on the podcast. I don't know. But the podcast has broken a Guinness Book world record for the highest amount of downloads in the shortest period of time of any podcast episode in the universe since creation of podcasting, which is 21 million as of yesterday. So good for them. Happy for them. And now we'll have to predict about the wedding, which. Let me just work on and save that for next week. Okay? Our girl, little Nas, is okay. And I say that with love because that is the update. He did a little story, and he said, don't worry, Your girl's gonna be okay. So maybe he'll partner up with the short white shoe boot company and make them all the rage because they're adorable.
B
And.
A
And so was this tighty whities. And I hope he's doing okay. And it was just a crazy night. Okay, now I have to tell you, I think I have finally made it. I finally made it in Hollywood. It's taken so fucking long. Because a AI company, I'm not exactly sure what this company is. It's about children's toys. Has stolen my voice without my permission. I have not gotten any money. And it is. They're using my voice in an actual podcast. It starts out like a podcast interview with. But they put my voice to a woman that just looks a lot smarter than I am. And I'm gonna show the photo of the woman here. I don't know if she's a real woman or if she's an AI woman, but several juicy scoopers sent it to me and I do appreciate that and I'm gonna play it for you right now. What's your million dollar secret for women over 40? Everyone should stop using ChatGPT in Canva like children's toys. Here is how to use them. Right?
B
So this is how I became the.
A
Most dangerous person in the room. There you go. There you go. What do I do about this? I don't know. I don't know people. That's this world we live in. But just thank you. Exciting stuff. Blake and Justin Baldoni. The judge has unsealed the text exchange and it bodes well, in my opinion, for Blake's case in saying that she believes that Justin Baldoni and his team and his PR people and the people that he hired that have these, like social media companies were in fact building a smear campaign. Because the text exchange, they could be argued both ways. If you believe that a smear campaign was really being built to turn the public against Blake Lively, then these, I do feel, are slightly compelling. It shows that people on his team that is on group chats with him are. This guy is like, excited that there are negative articles being written. And then he claims to also be forwarding those negative articles about Blake to other news sources so that they then can regurgitate it and tell it and spread it. So it's kind of a hard thing to say because a lot I can see why people would do that. If all of a sudden I was in this and I saw that somebody wrote a great article about me and defending me while I was in a social media battle, maybe I'd want to go share that to some people and be like, oh, my God, look, they brought up a great point. We see this happen with housewives all the time. They. I mean, everything comes back to housewives. We now know that all these housewives that real housewives both see, not all of them, but Katie. And we also know other ones like Tamara in the past, and they have all shared articles about each other to each other so that someone else brings it up and it's just spreads. It becomes out there. It gets out there. The knowledge gets greater. They talk to bloggers and meme accounts and podcasters and says, hey, just so you know, this article, this video, this is there. You might want to Share it. Because once you share it, then 10 other people will share it, and then 20 TikTok people will go, oh, my God. So according to this, blah, blah, blah. Is that a smear campaign? This is all very gray between of how to look at this. But that's the latest, so we're. We are gonna be able to have access to those text messages. How does Blake Lively feel that her former best friend Taylor Swift is engaged? She's probably dying. It's probably very, very hard. Much like when Jill Zarin found out that Bethenny Franco was engaged to Jason Hoppy. Talk about a marriage that did not end well. But in that show, looking back on Real Housewives of New Jersey, sorry, New York. Jill was like, I can't believe I'm not here with my, you know, best friend because we're on this, like, friendship break at the greatest time of her life. And I've been in that situation too, where I've been on a break with someone and then they have gotten engaged and it's awkward, and I have reached out and immediately said, I'm happy for you. But, you know, they were very close. She was the godmother to one of Blake's child children, but then Blake threw her into this whole thing, and she doesn't want to be deposed. Will there be any songs about Blake Lively in a former friendship, or is she just going to rise above it like she always has and act like who? Blake Lively? I don't know her. I don't know. There has been a juicy article written by in the sun about Jax Taylor. And in the reunion of the Valley, it was revealed by Danny that he believes, allegedly that Jax was having sexual relationships with more than one person that worked at his bar. Jax. Well, the son interviewed some people. I don't know if they said their names, but some of these girls that said, yes, I dated him. He loved bombed me. He made me feel like I was the only one. And he didn't want to use protection, but he always offered to go get plan B. I mean, now is this girl telling the truth? I don't know, but it's from the Sun. It's not great. Allegedly. This is what was said and done, and it really makes me think that's really what's behind his partner and he breaking ties with each other. We wondered if it's. Why is he leaving Jax the restaurant? Did the contract expire? Was he really just wanting to stay away from an establishment that serves alcohol as his place of business? Was he looking to show no income so that he would be eligible for getting spousal support from Britney? Or. Or is it because of this sticky situation that he. You know, you're not supposed to shit where you eat. Screw you. Don't. That's basically what it means. Don't screw the people you're working with. You're the superior. And in this post 2025 world, it is not a good idea to do that. And could any of these women now have any kind of case to say, oh, if I was told if I didn't sleep with Jax, I wouldn't get the Saturday night shift. And I make so much money off of selling grandma's chima cheese mama or whatever that mama cheese ball or whatever that dip was that Britney was selling. I don't know. Or these girls just spilling the beans and nobody really cares anyway. Also, allegedly, he has been cut from BravoCon. I don't know if that's true, but I wouldn't be surprised. Yeah, I would have been shocked if he had come, but things can change. It's just a few months away, but I'll be there November 14th at the MGM grand doing my juicy scoop live. The tickets are going fast. Don't forget to get those@heathermcdonald.net because once they're gone, they're gone. Okay. Oh, my God. Denise Richards, most horrible divorce ever. She's got her lawyers involved and she is begging the Jug to judge to step in and get Aaron and his family out of her home that she owns so that she can go in, get her belongings, get her pets, and take over the home that is hers. His family was living there for years. We saw her joke about it when they were happily together, or at least they looked like they were when they did their reality show. I don't know that that reality show is getting a second season on either, but Denise Richards has gone to Instagram to express that she has been very appreciative, all the support as she goes through yet another horrific divorce. However, though she seems to be getting along with her first husband, Charlie Sheen now, and he's got a Netflix special coming out about his crazy life. But all of us have been very frustrated and we feel that it's insane that his. That he and his family are living in her residence and she does not have access to it. So we hope that his parents, though they are older, go on their way and she's claiming that they have not been taking good care of the home and she is responsible for it. I want to take it back. I don't know that she owns it, or if she's just the name on the lease and she needs them to get out so that she can get it ready and return it back to the rightful owner. Or, in fact, she owns it. But the point is, she's divorcing this guy and she doesn't have access to this home in which her name is on the legal papers. So hopefully that'll work. Jussie Smollett. I watched that special, and it's a. It's a Netflix special that I don't think anybody really needs to watch. I'm sorry, I don't think it's. I mean, come on with this. Basically, what it was is, you know the story of Jussie Smollett, okay? He claims he went out at two in the morning in a polar vortex in the middle of winter in Chicago because he was hungry and he wanted a Subway sandwich. He was met by two masked men screaming MAGA stuff, who put a noose around his neck and. And he then wiped his wounds and went home and called the police. The police came. He kept the noose on his neck and was still holding the Subway sandwich when they came. And he told his horrible tale of racism and homophobic crimes. Horrible, horrible, horrible. The world all believed him. I was on Wendy Williams talking about it, blah, blah, blah. Now, he eventually got convicted of a crime of setting up a hoax because they found these two brothers that he were extras on Empire, the show he's working on. And also one was his personal trainer. He also wrote him a check for three, six hundred dollars. And according to them, they. He told them to go do this and do all these things, in which one of them said, I was. I said, I'm not putting the rope around your neck. You put it around yourself, but I'll do whatever you tell me to do. Now he's saying, no, I always told the truth, and this is why. This is the truth. And the. It wasn't them. I. I gave him a check for $3,600 because I wanted a steroid that was illegal that he could get from his native country of Nigeria to lose belly fat. So, no, I never asked them to do this. Then at the end, these two women come in to save the day, who said, this is why we don't believe this. We think the Chicago Police Department was so corrupt and has such a reputation of racism that they wanted to build up a great reputation. They found these brothers, realized there was a connection to Jussie Smollett, and told them, you guys go and say this story that he told you to do this and that you did this, and. And then we'll close the case and we'll say there were no two men that were white doing this. In fact, it was these men, and Jesse hired them. And the evidence they have is that there's this old woman who lived in his building, Jesse's building, And she said, that night, I did see a white man. I walked out to do my dog's business. It was about 12:45 at night, and I saw a man standing outside of our building, in which I share with Jesse. We're in the same beautiful apartment building, and I saw him there, and he had. He was white, and he had a white rope sticking out of his backpack. So I saw him. So I'm like, is this the same woman from the Amy Bradley? Where's Amy Bradley, Doc? Where the woman said, oh, I saw her in the bathroom, like, 15 years later? No. No. Okay. The reason I'm going to say, so you're telling me that this guy is like, I'm just gonna wait outside in the middle of a polar vortex, which, according to people that live out there, like, you really can't be outside for more than, like, a few minutes without dying. I'm just gonna wait outside and hope that Jussie Smollett, who I hate because he's gay and black, is gonna come out and maybe be hungry for a sandwich, and then my friend and I will meet him, beat him up, and put this noose around his neck. So he knows that I am a racist. So, no, I don't believe it. But good for Jesse Smollett for getting some work and with this stupid Netflix doc. And he is also going to be on Special Forces, so good for him. The Menendez brothers were denied Pearl, both of them. And it is. I think it's Eric's. I can't remember. It's Eric or Ly's. I think it's Eric's stepdaughter. He's been married to his second wife for a very long time. I think it's his second wife. Anyway, they both have wives and multiple wives and cheated on the wives with people coming to visit them. I can't keep track of it all. But anyway, she's an adult, and she's very, very angry. She finds it completely unfair. And it's my understanding this is it until the next parole, but it's not happening. And they were hoping that they would get out, but it doesn't look like it. And people are like, but they did such A great job. They've been in jail, they've been teaching people and they've had a perfect record and there's been no violence. Yeah, they're not violent. They're not violent. They weren't violent before. They took shotguns to their parents heads and they haven't been violent after because they're doing, you know, time in prison. Just because someone isn't getting in fights with other inmates doesn't mean that they don't deserve to spend the rest of their life in prison. That would be the argument. Yeah. Their argument is they, they won't hurt anybody when they come out and they were horrible victims of child abuse and sexual abuse and therefore they had to do this violent crime and then go to Cheesecake Factory after and buy Rolexes and shop and lie about it. But whatever, that's. Those are two arguments come at me, yell at me in the comments also. And just like that, there's talk that it might go to another network, that they have the right to do that, that they could go to another network since Atrio Max canceled it. And let's see where it goes. So now I'm going to talk about the Real Housewives of Miami because I have the latest, newest star of it, Stephanie. She has her own plane. And if you are not watching Real Housewives of Miami, like all of my interviews, I guarantee you will find this very interesting. She is a very unique character on these shows and she talks about why she has chosen a life, a child free life by choice, how she came to that, how she met her husband. She clears up rumors, she explains the dynamic between she and the other women. And you will not be lost if you're not listening or watching the show. It's just a really interesting interview about a woman who's in a with a much older man that she's married to and how that came about. And I found her really fascinating and funny and interesting. So here's my interview with Stephanie from the Real Housewives of Miami. I love hungryroot because they take the stress out of meal time by planning a full week of meals tailored to your tastes. I'm very excited to talk to the newest housewife that has us all talking. From Real Housewives of Miami, it is Stephanie Shojai. And let's just get into it. First of all, how are you enjoying Being on a show, watching it back, you know, this is, this is a big deal. You're on a top rated show and suddenly I'm sure people know who you are. How are you feeling about being recognized and all that in your life now?
B
I mean, honestly, it sounds crazy to say, but I already joined the show with a following, so in Miami, I feel like I was already pretty known. I haven't really felt the craze yet from the show or something that I feel like is significant, but it's nice. I feel like the recognition for the company has been really great.
A
Yeah. So let's kind of get into. Yes, I see, you know, you already have almost 600,000 followers. You had this, you know, you were a personality. I heard that, that you had been approached, you know, throughout the years or people saying you should do it. So what made you decide this was the time and you wanted to go for it.
B
And you know, it's funny, I always said I'm never going to do it. I'm not going to do it. I'm not going to be on Housewives of Miami. But then I shot a pilot like two years ago and I loved the act of having cameras in the office. And I was like, okay, you know, I actually do great on tv. And unfortunately it didn't get picked up. When the pilot came back with notes, they were like, we love Stephanie, but we need other cast mates to like, you know, go, go click with her and like, be more on her vibe level. So we shot it again with a new cast and unfortunately that didn't get picked up. But the review again was Stephanie has a very large personality. We want to make sure we find cast mates that like, match it. So I was like, okay, I'm clearly made it through the second round of shooting pilots. I liked it. So it's not going to get picked up because it's hard to find other castmates that are great. If the opportunity comes back and knocks, I might, you know, consider knocked again. And I was like, I think this is the right time. You know, let me just try it. I did it for really three main reasons. Reason number one being like, you know, it looks fun to have a bunch of girlfriends. I haven't been that type of girl. I've never been this like, social person. And I've said it on, in, in the show and it's true. And I feel like the people that knew me on socials and they really know me in real life, I've never been that type of girl to do Girls Night. You're never going to see me. I out, like, hanging out at the bar with my friends. It's just not me. So I was like, this looks like it's really fun. Obviously, number two, I thought it would be great to get more exposure for our company, like a worldwide exposure. And then number three, Larsa was like, no, you. Because I'm good friends with Larsa, she was like, being famous is gonna. It's gonna be so fun for you and you should try it. I'm like, oh, being famous kind of looks like it would be fun, you know, let's try it. And that's really why I ended up being like, I'm gonna do it.
A
Yeah. I think in your case, I think it's all been very positive because it is interesting to see someone that, you know, comes in, you're like, oh, here's this younger woman with the Birkins and the PJ and everything. But I don't think I've ever really seen that many housewives that actually work and have multiple meetings and have to perform and get stuff done. And like, in the last episode, when we see her husband, he calls you because he's like, there's stuff happening. Like, this is hard that you're doing this other job, which is, you know, but they don't want to say that. So it's like, you're doing this other thing with your friends, but, I mean, essentially you're going to come home to, like, I assume, a shit ton of emails.
B
Oh, my God, Heather. It was so crazy because I was so naive and I pride myself in, like, being so smart and so not naive. And I was naive to think that, like, oh, this looks easy. Like, just go. Just keep me on camera for a little bit. I cannot express to you how torture it was torturous it was for me to manage my duties at Shoma while doing the Housewives. I would. You obviously don't get to see this and the viewers don't get to see this. But, like, after we were done filming, I would pick up the computer, work for endless, like, hours, and then, like, have to get up and do it again. In particular, the cast trip, which was brutal for me. That's why my husband was like, you need to come back. But I think a lot of people don't realize how hard I work. They don't realize that I actually come to the office on Saturday, Saturdays, and I sometimes come on Sundays, and I'm here till late at night. I come early in the morning. But then again, I've always been like, this. Since I was little, I'm addicted to being productive. I just don't feel well if I'm sitting at home doing nothing. So I work really hard. I thought I could manage both. I did it, obviously, but it was definitely harder than I anticipated.
A
So let's go back a little bit to find a little bit more about you, because I feel like definitely, as well, a viewer of the show, we don't know very much about what got you to being married and in this position that then led to housewives calling and. And. And having a big social media following prior. So I love that you talked a little bit about it in the last episode that you're. That your mom was like, yeah, you might have a stash, but you have to wait till you're 16. And while you're at it, let's get your nose done. And I do love, like, I do think that's really interesting when someone has a glow up and how that kind of affects their whole personality. Because growing up, you were not the one, you know, that was. Is seen as, you know, the most popular, most beautiful, whatever. And then you find yourself in kind of this new body and confidence. Can you speak on that a little bit?
B
Of course. So, no, I definitely was, like, at one point, my mom was. Is beautiful. But when she was younger, everybody was like, she's gonna have the most beautiful baby. And so when I was born, everyone's like, oh, my God. So excited to meet Stephanie. And they were like, what happened? It's like an ongoing joke in the family. They were like, she had to put. Heather. She had to put bows on me all the time because people thought I was a boy. So, I mean, I really wasn't, like, this, like, beautiful child that they expected. My mom, which has blonde hair and light eyes, you know, it's like, naturally blonde hair. But I didn't. You know, I went to school. I didn't speak Spanish. I definitely wasn't the pretty popular girl. I didn't speak much English. Like, my house, when you came over, smelled like some Spanish food. Like, it wasn't like, I was like, the cool girl, like you said. And then when my mom was like, you can shave at 16, I was like. And she's like, let's get a nose job. And we went to the doctor. And I was so young. The guy's like, we're gonna do this, and we're gonna. He's, like, drawing it for me. At 16, I. I don't think I even had my driver's license at the point. At the time I ended up getting it and then I looked in the mirror, I was like, oh, my God. It gave me such self confidence. And I actually got a lot of backlash about saying that. My mom told me that because people are like, oh, you know, moms can be so cruel. I don't look at it like my mom was cruel. I look at it like she is a realist. And she knew, like, this is going to prevent her from feeling her best, being confident and like, with time, like, she's either gonna do it now or she's gonna do it when she gets older. Let's just do it now so she feels her best. And then obviously, like, that spiraled. And when, you know, I got older, like, I went to Botox and fillers and listen, I'm very pro. Do whatever you can to make yourself feel prettier and give yourself more self confidence. So I don't shy away from any of that. Stacey.
A
I think sometimes people are not honest enough about how it's just a fact that appearance does make a difference. Not only your self confidence, but in doing that, having a life that then you feel like, yeah, I fit into. You know, I've had friends that, you know, struggled with weight, and then once they felt comfortable and got to a place of, you know, a healthy weight that they felt more, they. They were. They did, like, dump that guy and get to a level of a husband that they felt was, like, you know, better and more exciting, and they were more exciting about, like, they were settling. And I feel like that's such a taboo thing to say, which I, you know, and I. And I think a lot of us do have moms that were like, you know, put a little lipstick on, you'll feel better. Or you need to, you know, you need to lose a few pounds. Honey, I'm being a friend to you. Like, I don't think that's, like. I think too often, you know, that's seen as like, you're the worst almond mom. And I'm like, yeah, but if you don't do that at all. Are you really being a great mom? Yeah. I think it's a hard struggle that mothers have.
B
Yeah, it's so true. But I can't. I really can't thank them enough, and them meaning my dad, too. He was so involved, and he was like, stephanie, you know, you gotta dress for the job that you want. You got to dress to be addressed a certain way. You have to look a certain. We live in a shallow world, and I don't know why people are so sensitive to admit is. I mean, I don't know of maybe Miami and LA and are worse in New York, but for the most part, we do live in a shallow world. And I really am thankful that my parents were like, Stephanie, you know, paint your nails, brush your hair, and, you know, the nose job was obviously major, but I am very happy that my parents did that. I don't want any kids ever. But if I did have a child, I would probably do the same thing.
A
So just to get clear. So you did grow up in Miami. And what are. What's your ethnic background?
B
Your Colombian. So I'm Colombian. I was born here, but, you know, I spent so many months out of the year in Colombia that I consider myself very Colombian. Also, my parents don't really speak English, so I. They kind of sacrificed learning English because they wanted us to be so strong in Spanish and like, reading and writing that this. The main language of the house was Spanish. Their job. Well, my dad's job was based very much in Latin America, so his. The Spanish was like the main language. I consider myself very Colombian.
A
So did you grow up with money?
B
I. Listen, in. Looking back, I think we. I mean, I drew. I grew up with, like, BMWs. I didn't grow up with Rolls Royces. I mean, I grew up with BMWs and like, a really nice house. I went to private school. Did I. I didn't grow up in flying business class. I. You know, so, like, it's. It's all relative. I. I wasn't on, like, food stamps.
A
Right, right. No, I get it. So I was just kind of wondering what that situation was. So was it, like, you didn't have, like, armed guards in front of your house and. And staff of 12?
B
No, no, no, no, no. And my mom made our lunchboxes and they drove us to school. And like, you know, we. We didn't really go out to eat often. We. You know, but I still had, like, the nicest clothes and like, you know, nice shoes and stuff, so.
A
So now let's get into a couple of things. Now, you said I never wanted kids. So did you know that at a. At a young age, or did you decide that after you became an adult?
B
Heather, I am so passionate about work. I'm so passionate about being productive. I'm so passionate about, like, leaving the house in the morning and going doing something that, like, produces or makes a change or just anything. Like, anything that's not me at the house that I did for a period of time start thinking, like, is there more to life than just Working and producing and being away from home, and nobody really knows this, but I ended up thinking, like, okay, you know, I'm going to put Shoma on hold for a little bit. At the beginning of. Of me working here, and everyone was saying, you know, like, Massoud's really wealthy. Like, why do you need to go to work all the time? Like, you. You're going to regret this. And I believed everybody. I went to Williams Sonoma, and I packed up the car with, like, pasta makers and carrot cucumber, like, cutter, I don't know, a bunch of stuff. I came home, and I was like, I'm going to make dinners for my husband and Heather. I was miserable. Miserable. I remember calling him and being like, dinner's gonna be ready in an hour. Don't be late because it's gonna get cold. He was late. The food got cold. Like, the plate didn't look good anymore. The kitchen was a mess. Granted, I had help, but I was like, this sucks. This is so hard. I just stayed here all day to make this guy fresh pasta. Husbands are not showing up on time to eat it. I was like, this. That's not for me. And then I realized, like, imagine I'm this frustrated about him not making it in time for the pasta. I have to now feed three kids that are probably not going to want my food, and they're going to turn teenagers not want to hang out with me. Like, this is, like, this is not a rewarding job. This. I don't feel like this is rewarding. So then I started convincing myself, like, this is not for me. And. And then I was like, what if they get sick? Like, I can't just cancel, you know, my podcast with Heather because my kid has a fever. Like, I. I have an agenda to go. So I convinced myself that it's just not for me.
A
I think it's really refreshing that women today have the choice, and it's not shameful. And you always know, like, me personally, I knew at a very young age, like, I want to be a mom no matter what, even if I do it on my own. And, you know, and I. My sister is a mom, but she struggled with getting pregnant prior to becoming pregnant. And she had a neighbor that was fabulous, and she and her husband were, like, artsy fartsy and, like, took photos of Joshua Tree and all this other stuff, and she ever wanted to be a mom. And I said, don't you. Do you ever envy the people that know that they never want to be a mom? And we both are like, yeah, because if you do and you have trouble attaining it, it's so hard. But if you are happy and you know, like, this really isn't for me, it's not a huge desire of mine, I don't feel like I'm missing out. I think that's really refreshing to voice it in a public platform. I think that's probably, I'm sure you've heard from a lot of people that feel the same way. And I want to just one little funny story that popped in my head about my own mom is so my mom, my mom did. Her parents sent her off to an all girl Catholic high school because back then it was like those schools were actually made so that women would then go on to have a career and not just like get knocked up like the private all girls schools. So she was working, met my dad in advertising, but then had all these kids and loved like really was a stay at home mom. And she said the reason I went into real estate after, after I was like five years, six or seven years old after the five kids is she said one day I made gingerbread cookies for the five kids and your dad came home and the house was a mess and he was like, what did you do all day? And she said, I made gingerbread cookies. And he said, oh, can I have one? And she said, no, they're all eaten. And then she said I realized I had nothing to show for my day. And of course someone's gonna listen to this and like, yeah, but it's the memories and blah blah, blah. But it is kind of a funny thing of someone that wants to be productive and show whatever that might be. And that's what I think is great about women today is that yes, you can be a stay at home mom, you can have these 10 or 20 years just doing that and feel so fulfilled. But for the woman that needs to feel like there's an actual productive result, whether it's a paycheck or a building that's being built or whatever, that should also be, you know, equally respected. And I think, you know, we as women need to support each other more and judge a lot less.
B
I totally agree. And when I came out and said that I didn't want kids, you know, so many people were like, oh my God, finally someone's going out there and saying it. But of course you get the ones that are like, oh, you know, you're so shallow and you should have kids and stuff. And it's just not, it's not my calling. And you know what I'm glad That it's not my calling, because I actually don't think I can probably have kids because my husband has kids and I've never used protection and I've never gotten pregnant. So clearly I don't think that I.
A
Okay, so what. What happens if tomorrow.
B
I mean.
A
Yes, you never know. It's not going to happen because his. He has a vasectomy or what? How do you know that would never happen? How do you.
B
Because I. Heather, I am no spring chicken. I am going to be 41 if.
A
It has happened too soon, you know, and then. You know what? And I think you would have a great attitude about it. I think you'd be like, I guess this is meant to be. I have all these resources, and it would be amazing. You know, so it's just like, I think you're really in a great position in your life. I do want to clear up some rumors of how you did meet your husband. I've heard different things. That you were his ex wife's assistant and then you met him. Like, what is the real. What's the story of how you guys met? Fell in love?
B
Okay, I'm going to give you the timeline.
A
Okay.
B
I met my husband in 2013 at a Miami Heat game. Okay, wait.
A
I just need to know, how are you at the bar? Or like, how are you talking to him?
B
Okay, first let me start off by saying I was never his ex wife's assistant. I've never met the lady. Okay. I've never met the lady, period.
A
To this day.
B
No, this day, we have never met. I actually encourage anybody that has any email of her and I communicating, if I was her assistant, to come out with the email or a photograph of her and I. Because usually you would have photographs with your assistant. Anything that indicates that I worked for her or for Masoud before I got together. That doesn't exist because I've never met her. So that's the. That's the main thing. I was at a Miami Heat game with one of my guy friends, and we were at the bar hanging out, and somebody that was with Massoud walked up to me and was like, oh, Mr. Massoud, Shojai would like to meet you. And I turned on. I was like, who's Masood Shojai? And I'm like, I don't. I'm not gonna walk over to a guy. The friend that I was with told me, you know, he's a very big real estate developer. You're in real estate. You know, you guys should meet and, you know, potentially talk about business. I was like, that's nice, but I'm not walking over to him. So, long story short, Massoud ended up walking over to me. We briefly spoke. He asked me for my telephone number. I gave it to him. I told him, we can discuss if I can get some of your listings in real estate. He's like, okay, sure. We'll talk about it over for dinner. Heather. He called me the next day to plan a dinner. I had Googled him, and I was like, it looks like he's married, and I'm. I'm not into this. So I told Massoud via text, I'm sorry, but I need to cancel. I don't feel comfortable, you know, going out with somebody that's older than me. You know, my reputation's really important to me in South Florida, and I need to cancel this dinner. He was like, oh, okay. He tried again a month later, and I'm like, a month, three weeks, whatever. And I was like, I don't. I don't feel good. Like, I just made up an excuse. And we didn't end up going out. That was 2013. Heather. Fast forward to 2014. One year later, again. LA Lakers, Miami Heat. I really like to go to that particular game. Now we're in 2014.
A
You've got there.
B
I am now there with my sister. I'm sitting in my seat and I get a text message. I look at my phone. It's Massoud. And he was like, this is the last time I'm going to ask you. You've been ignoring me. I. I have, you know, a story to tell. I'm separated. I'm not married. You need to get my story from me. I'm really interested in taking you out to dinner. We could talk business. We could talk whatever. But I'm. I'm trying to tell you, but you're not listening to me, that I've been separated for many years. So I call my mom and I'm like, there's this guy. And she's like, oh, I've heard of it. I've heard of him in, like, the news. I'm like, yeah, but I think. I don't. Like, he's saying he's separated. I don't know. She was like, you know, just meet network people. Network for, like, business. You're in real estate now. We're still in 2014. I accept to go out with him. We talk at dinner. We go to a very public restaurant here in Miami. So that indicated to me right away, like, if you're taking me to a really public Place. You're not trying to hide me. It's not like you took me to some, like, little restaurant. We're in a very public restaurant. We had the best time, and we spoke, and I was like, what's the deal? And he was like, you can ask anyone around in Miami. I am separated. I'm not divorced.
A
I.
B
We definitely don't sleep in the same bed. We sometimes live in different homes. I don't want to get divorced because I don't want to split the pie. And because, you know, my. My kids, you know, I didn't want them to have a stepdad. I wanted to be part of, like, a strong father figure for my kids. And I was like, okay, well, so then what are you looking for me? And he's like, well, I don't know. It was our first date, you know. What do you mean? And I was like, oh. I mean, eventually, like, are you going to get a divorce? And he was like, I've been dating. I've been going out. It's very in the open, but I'm not going to split my pie in half unless I feel like it's somebody that's worth it. That was 2014. We continue to go out. And in 2015, the divorce was filed. And I knew right then that we were. We were really serious. You know, I knew that it was going to be a serious thing. So that was in. Now, 2015, filed for divorce. The divorce took a really long time, as you can imagine, because it's a lengthy divorce, and there was a lot to split down the middle. 2018, the divorce is finalized. That was in February of 2018. The divorce is finalized in. What was it? Because I have the actual dates for you. February 2018. The divorce was finalized. April 2018. I decided to change my name with Massoud. Thought it was like, it's fine. Change your name because we're going to get married. I changed my name after they divorced, and then a year later. So you.
A
So you took his name before you were married?
B
Yes.
A
Oh, okay.
B
Yes. I was already working in the company. People already knew, like, you know, we were together. It was a matter.
A
You just go to the Social Security office and just change your name without, like, a marriage certificate.
B
Yeah, I went and I went with him. Of course I went with him. And we said, you know, we're going to get married, and she wants to change her last name. And, you know, I really like the initials S.S. he was already divorced. It was already finalized. Okay. So I changed my name. And then we got married, like, 10 months later in the court. So I. So you didn't know?
A
You didn't have a big wedding?
B
No, Heather, I didn't have a big wedding because a. We've. We've established I don't have a lot of friends. I mean, it sounds horrible, but, like, I don't, like. I don't. I didn't have, like, a lot of friends.
A
Did you go.
B
Did you.
A
Did you go to college?
B
Yeah.
A
But you didn't do, like, a sorority or anything like that? No.
B
Oh, no, no, no. I wasn't into it. As a matter of fact, I would come home, like, every weekend. It was fsu. I came home every weekend, like, to be with my parents. I always hung out with my mom and my dad. Listen, I've never been a very social person, okay? And for the most part, I've always been an alpha female. Alpha females in general, they don't tend to be running in packs all the time. Like, that's from, like, that's how I believe. They just. They don't, like, need a bunch of group. Like a group all around. But anyway, to answer your question, yes, I didn't have a lot of friends. The relationship was very much like, people.
A
Had opinions about it because what is the age difference?
B
24 years, so.
A
And you. Did your parents have any concerns about.
B
Oh, my parents loved him. Because Massoud, if, when you meet him, has the best, funniest personality ever. And I think my parents just knew, like, oh, my gosh, she's so happy she's met her match. Like, they just, like, really get along. If you hang out with me and Massoud for like an hour, you're going to be like, I totally get this relationship. Like, there's nothing not to get.
A
I mean, I definitely can see it just watching that there is a real connection and respect. And, you know, there's certain couples that, you know, have their dynamics, and there's. There's some that are very much like, you know, into each other and spending time with each other. And I think that that does translate on the tv. Was that one of the things that you said early on in dating is like, I don't want to have kids? Because I would think that would be a relief to someone that age that already has kids. They don't really. So many times the second wife says they don't want to have kids, and then they're like, if you don't give me a baby, I'm out. And now the guy is crippled, walking around, you know, Orlando, Florida, in 110 degree heat with a baby. And he's like, this is what I signed up for, you know. So did you convey that early on in the relationship?
B
So, no. I had told. He had asked me if I wanted kids. I was like, I don't think so. But believe it or not, like three, four years into the relationship, he was like, you know, I know that we discussed it, but if you want to have a baby, like, I, I'm all here for it. And I was like, I don't know where this is coming from. Like, are you wanting one? And then we had a conversation and he was like, oh, it would be cute. And then I always joke with him, I'm like, I don't want to push a stroller and a wheelchair at the same time. Like, it's like he gets my humor, you know. But to go back to the wedding thing, a lot of people had things to say and I was like, why are we going to invite people, spend a ton of money, Half of them are going to talk shit. They're going to say something about the food, my dress and, or the fact that we got together, you know, why? So what I chose was a month long honeymoon in Dubai, the Maldives and Thailand with my mom and my dad. Now a month long trip with the people that I love most has been the best memories. Rather than being able to show people that I had a wedding and, you know, I don't even speak to half the people that went there and they didn't like the cake. I'm just saying.
A
Okay. I also think that is so valuable and refreshing. I've never really heard someone say that, that know when they know they're in a relationship and even if they had a big party, that there'd be a majority of people that would go in the bathroom and talk shit. And it's funny because when I got married, my husband had a child and I've shared the story. It's a very juicy story. It's basically, you know, he impregnated a woman the weekend before meeting me. So the baby, they were not in a relationship and We've been married 25 years. She lives with us. She calls me mom. I raised her, you know, it all worked out. But it's a very juicy like Lifetime movie story. But I told my parents, you know, we're gonna get married and there is an infant, you know, you know, which is juicy. Like when we went to the church, they were like, I said, there's a seven month old baby. And they were like, oh, I thought you were gonna say seven years Old, you know, And I'm like, well, she's seven months. And, like, so, you know, she only knows her parents not to be together. She knows that. Like, I thought of all the benefits, you know, And I'm like, what if I can't have kids? I have a beautiful daughter, you know, I don't know what my future holds. But I knew that if I let that out before the wedding, because we had a traditional wedding, church, country club wedding, I knew there would be people in the bathroom. I literally said that. I go, I don't want people to know. Besides, only one of my sisters knew and one best friend knew. I'm telling you, nobody else knew from my family. I said, then when we get married and come back, I will then say, I'm so lucky I'm a stepmother. Because I knew that people would judge it. I knew people would be like, you shouldn't get married. Da, da, da, da. I knew they'd be talking shit in the bathroom. And that's just very interesting that you had the foresight to know and not kid yourself that these fake people would act like we love them and then get on the phone and talk shit. I think that's really very refreshing, actually.
B
Which I think, you know, it's so. And I saw your face when I said that I didn't have a lot of friends and did it, you know, if I had friends in college and stuff. But I want to touch base on that because it's been really big on the show. It's been really big. And the Reddit threads and the people saying, no wonder she didn't have friends. I is why she can't keep friends. I think that's what it is. Heather. I've been so avoidant of people judging and talking shit behind my back and, like, not true friends and backstabbing and, like, just not being happy for you or not understanding you. And, like, I wanted to go home every weekend to be with my mom and dad. That was not really understood in school. Like, why do you have to. Like, why? So I just avoid so much having to surround myself with negativity and gossip that I just end up. You end up kind of being alone. I go, three or four friends, and it's not that bad in the way the world takes it. Like, oh, no wonder she doesn't have friends. Twitter's full of. She has no friends. And we can see why. I mean, really, I just like peaceful living. And if my peaceful living includes three people, then so be it.
A
I think that's great. And I will say, being in this world where I'm a comedian, I talk about the housewives. I've always loved it. It's been a big part of Juicy Scoop and when I've had my, you know, friends that do what I do, there's been friendship breakups and stuff and in small little, you know, circles of whatever. Did you guys know that all chips and fries used to be cooked in tallow up until the 1990s when big corporations switched to cheap processed seed oils. Today's seed oils make up 20% of the average American's daily calories. And recent studies have linked seed oils to metabolic health issues and inflammation in the body. I'll be honest, I didn't really understand that when I heard about seed oils. I didn't really get it until now. Let me tell you about Masa. Masa decided to do something about it. Thought it was fascinating how fans of mine or housewives or whatever are so intrigued by female friendship breakups and whose fault it was and what happened. And part of that is why it's why Housewives are so successful. Because it's kind of looking at these female friendships and that these two are best friends. But could they be broken up and do they break up because of the housewife media circle or was it really something we saw on the show? So I do think it's really why we love the show. But I also think it's really interesting that you at a young age kind of recognize that about women, unfortunately. And you know that someone sees the young girl with the older guy and just wants to immediately think that the intentions are not true love.
B
And you know, since a very young age I saw it and I felt it and I was just like, I don't Want to compete. Like, I'm like, if they're like, Heather just got, you know, I don't know, a huge gig, I'm gonna be so happy for you. Like, anything that happened, like, anything. You get a new purse, a car. I genuinely just want to be. And I don't like to surround myself with people that, like, we're fine, and then like, two minutes later you're talking shit. Which I think played a major part also in the Housewives, where when I sensed that somebody was saying something, I immediately, immediately say, like, what's the problem? And I get over it. But I have to tell you that I know what you said, and I'm angry. I. I just like things to be like, to your face, not to, you know, behind your back.
A
So, yeah, so it's a get jumping to the show in episodes that have already aired. So you guys go to Spain and you do have the private jet, which is, you know, ultimate luxury. And you're like, I can't bring everybody. I'm not going to bring everybody. So let's go kind of through how we're going to invite the people, which I thought was, like, totally fair. And. And I also thought Julia was very honest where she's like, no, I'm not giving up a private jet to sit next to my friend. We're all friends. We see each other all the time. You're a grown woman. It's not like it'd be one thing if you're like, hey, you can come on the jet, but your three year old daughter can't. And then she leaves a three year old child, or she brought her boys and they went on the plane without, okay, that's a little something someone can maybe judge. Even then, I think a lot of women would be like, with a proper nanny, I'm okay with it. I still think maybe not if they're little, but whatever. But yeah, this is an ultimate, luxurious moment. Who'd want to miss out on that? You don't get invited on a private jet many times in your life, even if you are on a level of, you know, wealth and fame. So I thought you handled it really well. And then when we share that, you even let them have like the bigger bed or whatever, I think that just shows that you were like, yeah, I get this all the time, but for you it's experience. And I want to make it a nice experience. And then I don't think, sorry, I.
B
Don'T think people got to see that. In reality, I gave them my bed and I gave Adriana the second bed. And I did not lay down really the rest of the. The flight. Like, I was catering to, making sure that everybody was fine. And I went to sit on the seat. I'm really not as bad as some people like to make it me out to be. You know, it was fun, like picking who could go and who could not go, but it was still, you know, playing checkers. I couldn't invite Lisa because she would, you know, her and Larsa would yank each other's hair out, you know, Julia and Gertie. If I had invited Julia first. So I couldn't have invited Gertie. Like, there was some type. It had nothing to do with me not liking Lisa or me not liking Gertie. I love them all. As a matter of fact, we all became very close. It was just very strategic on, like, who could come at the end of the day. The other thing people don't notice is that if you're on a commercial flight and a fight breaks out, you know, the pilot has to do an emergency landing. If a fight breaks out on a private plane, the pilot still has to land. Like, he can't. He can't just continue on with the whole fight. So I needed to make sure that it was a safe, fine group that would get along for seven hours.
A
Yeah, I can see all that. That's amazing. Speaking of Larsa and Lisa, I really thought the storyline is funny and relatable that Lisa has continued to follow Marcus. And I do think it's weird and I am on Larsa's side on this because I'm like, is his content that exciting? Like, why do you have to follow him? It seems so weird. I could see if you accidentally, like, even when like, Adriana's like, I still follow Lenny. Like, yeah, she probably was like, how funny was that? She's like, I'm probably so. I probably didn't. It's one thing just not to think about, like, oh, now let me physically unfollow. Okay. But once it was revealed to Lisa, like, it really bothers me that you still talk to him and follow him and, like, why you met him through me, like you guys should. And I totally agree that with Larsa, once they break up, once a couple breaks up, you know when she said, even if my grandpa divorced my grandpa, I'd be like, sorry, grandpa, not gonna follow you on Instagram anymore. Like, I totally agree with that. Quick question though, because this popped up and I forgot about it. We know that Larsa at one time was very close to Kim Kardashian. And was seen on the show and they're very close and I heard her do an interview a while ago about there was something when, when they were going through the Kanye stuff, Kanye like, called Larsa to like maybe bring her in to try to help a fight or whatever. After that they broke up. But I wonder when did you know if Larsa didn't stop following Kanye quick enough? You know what I mean? Like what, you know, maybe she learned from that and was like, the minute that happens. You cannot be a counselor to two. You know what I mean?
B
I have no, yeah, that I have no idea because I didn't know her at that time and then I never really asked her. But I can tell you that Larsa, she really, and I hope, you know, it stays like this forever, but she is one of the most loyal friends that I have met in like, you know, in a short period of time. She is die hard, like loyal. Like, she's not joking when she probably would unfollow her grandpa. Like, that is just, she's really like that, like to a fault. And I feel like if somebody doesn't give that back to her, she like loses it. She loses it because she really gives you that loyalty. So she, yeah, she can't handle it. You don't get it back.
A
You do not need to comment on this, but this is what I do think happened between she and Kim, which has happened to a lot of people in my life, is that Kim shared a lot about her marriage with Larsa and then was almost sort of embarrassed and then just kind of separated herself and it wasn't. And Larsa was that good friend that was on the phone with her all the time. And sometimes that happens when a couple breaks up or, or they, they break up and then they get back together. They almost are like they dumped the girlfriend because I don't know. So I, I, that's what I, you don't need to comment, but that's what I personally think happened. I do think Larsa was always a good friend and maybe too good of a friend. And I do see that in the show. And so I am Team Larsa in watching it because I think it's very obvious and I think it's a relationship, a dynamic that I have seen play out in my own normal life with friends and people breaking up and getting divorced.
B
Yeah, that would make sense. Just because of what the Larsa, the Larsa that I currently know, like, the Larsa that like I met is very loyal. So that could be a theory.
A
I don't know, I love that you called out Lisa on being late. I wanted to make sure I was not a second late for this zoom. And obviously, yeah, there is that. That is crazy that I did. I did a podcast with her. She was not late, but I might have something.
B
I might have had something to do with that. She's not late anymore.
A
Yeah. And I think. But I think that is a very interesting. I think that's kind of a funny thing too, because I believe everybody in this world is either on time or early. Always 15 minutes late or like an hour late. Like, oh, I don't know anybody that's like a 30, a 30 second late. You know, a 30 minute late. It's always that, right? I have like a couple friends, like my sister and my best friend. They're always 15, always.
B
So for like 20 years.
A
And then, and then, and then I had a friend that's no longer a friend, that was our. Our and a half. And I was like, is that why.
B
You'Re not friends with her anymore?
A
Yeah, like, it was just too fucking much. Like, like it's one thing to just calculate. No, that if I say 5:45, my girl's showing up at 6 now, I know it. I don't try to hide it, I don't try to change her. But it's that really long late that just is so rude. Like, how are you not looking at the clock and panicking? Because it's someone who's on time. I have a full panic and I'm driving in LA and LA traffic and that's why I'm always like 15 minutes early, because you have to, you know. So what were you going to say? You said you have a funny story.
B
I have a funny story. So my husband and I, we, we really are like, just yin yang. Always get together, but we fight. So thank God I helped fix him. But like, he is Persian and Persians for the most part are known for being like, late. I mean, it's just, it's a stereotype. Heather. He was late for everything. And I would lose it in the car. My personality that you see is my, my real personality. I'm super snappy. I just, just like, like a Chihuahua. I'll just start yapping away. And I was like, I can't do this. We're so disrespectful. We're late. And he would at one point was like, you need to get out and get yourself an Uber. And I was like, I'm never driving with you. And then finally I was like, this isn't gonna work. Like, I will meet you at the restaurant, and I'll see you. When I see you, our friends are gonna know that it's you that's disrespectful, not me, because I am so insane about being punctual. Thankfully, I fixed him now. It's like he's only, like, six, seven minutes late. And that, to me, is very much progress, you know? So I've done a good job. I'm fixing people left and right here.
A
Hey, you said the little Chihuahua thing. How little are you?
B
Oh, my God. Everybody's asking me. I'm five two. I weigh 125 pounds. I am very. I'm very petite.
A
Yeah, you are petite. I mean, I couldn't. It's like, sometimes you can't tell, like, you know, like, in your gown, like, in the opening, you know, and then. Then when you see you, like, walk into your room and you have platform shoes on, and you're still little. I was, like, so tiny. How little is this person?
B
I'm tiny. But the worst part is that my arms are super short, so it's, like, makes me even smaller. I have, like, little arms. My husband calls me T. Rex because I'm like, so it was funny. I have a really good sense of humor, and nothing really insults me that much except when people tell me I was his ex's assistant. That makes my blood boil.
A
I wonder, you know, I wonder how these stories come about, because I've noticed, as someone who's like, you know, been into housewives for 20 years, that lately there's been, like, weird, for lack of a better news, like, word, fake news. Like, it'll look like a news article, and then, like, you know, a Instagram account or something will, like, pick it up, and people will, like, want to put it in my, like, Facebook group for Juicy Scoop. And I'm like, I don't think this is true. This isn't coming from, like, bravo.com or page six or whatever. And I'm like, what is this? And I think people are just bored, and they just pull it out of their ass.
B
I mean, listen, I'm not gonna say that I got together with Massoud in a conventional way. I didn't. It wasn't conventional. I won't be the first. I won't be the last of somebody that dates a separated man. Massoud will also not be the last guy that doesn't want to get a divorce to not split the pie. And if they do end up wanting to split the pie, waiting to meet somebody that's worth it. Our situation is not the norm. Do I regret it? Absolutely not. Do I feel bad I wasn't the cause of that relationship? Ending that relationship had been long done for eight, 10 years. If people don't want to believe it, that's on them. And where did it start? It started on Reddit and people are saying, I heard it on Reddit. Like that's not very, you know, that's not a reliable source.
A
No. And that's anonymous. And people could write anything. I mean, people could say, Heather McDonald, EW needs puppy brains to stay thin.
B
Yeah.
A
And that could be picked up and been like, I saw her at Petco, you know, and I saw her buying a puppy that we've never seen in an Instagram photo. And then someone's like, proof, proof that she, like, it gets crazy and it's, you know, it's. Yeah, it's. That is so. Yeah, that's really, that's really interesting that you say all that. It's true.
B
I'm. I'm also.
A
Here's another rumor, if I just can say that I saw that the reason that Dr. Nicole left the show was because at one time you dated her, now partner.
B
Yes, Anthony and I dated 20 years ago. To me, it was a serious relationship. I was young. I mean, I don't know, probably not serious to him because he was, you know, like, older. Older than me. I think he was like eight, seven years older than me. We ended fine. He broke up with me. There's like no hard feelings. Like, we don't speak. We haven't spoken in a long time time. Nicole and I also had never met until we met on that zoom one time. And then afterwards we went to Gertie's birthday party. But if she didn't come for me, that's news to me. It's what people are saying, but you have to meet me. I'm actually a nice person.
A
No, she. I've never heard her come for you at all. That was just again, the behind the scenes rumor of why she and I and I not knowing anything. I was like, well, it wouldn't be the first time that housewives maybe on purpose find an ex, you know, or something to bring on that's in the community that knows the girls to spark something. And then she was like, I'm out. But once I heard that, oh my God, it was 20 years ago and it was fine. And like, no, we didn't talk after we broke up.
B
Up.
A
Which you shouldn't. I don't think people should be friends with their ex. Unless you're sharing kids. So, like, I. But again, like, it is interesting that then those things go, you know, people want to find, like, more of, you know, a juicy story behind it, you.
B
Know, I think Nicole's fabulous. She's great. We're very different. Like, Nicole's, like the modest, more humble. Like, not show off. She's, like, super sweet. Like, totally opposite than me. I'm a show off. I'm loud. I'm picking fights with everybody. Like, like, we're totally different, but we could still get along. There's no point of pinning us against each other. He's fabulous. We have different personalities. I mean, there's nothing that we don't have anything against each other.
A
Well, speaking of which, do you think. Because you say Alexia is coming for me. Because I do think she has some insecurities and seeing you with your success and your wealth and everything. What. How do you feel about that now? Without revealing, like, any spoilers, but how did you conclude that that was the situation?
B
So I wasn't saying that she was insecure about me being successful or what I have. I truly don't believe that that's the case. I was saying you're insecure based on the moment that she was unfortunately going through with Todd. That it was making her in general insecure had nothing to do with what I brought or didn't bring. And a lot of it had to do with a comment that she made that said, you wouldn't have joined this group if your marriage was great, or something like that. And then we got into an argument. It aired. It was.
A
It was outside of.
B
It was outside of Gertie's thing. And. Or she said something along the lines. And then it triggered me because I was like, wait a minute. You could say anything you want to say about me, but you're never going to say anything about my marriage, because my marriage is rock, rock solid. Like, it's not like I'm pretending that it's rock solid and it's gonna hit. Shit's gonna hit the fan. Like, we have a solid relationship. So you saying that is you portraying your insecurities or your, you know, your fears or what you like, what you're living onto me. And then I was like, but there's a lot of housewives that are very happily married that join the group of housewives. So it rubbed me and pissed me off. Rubbed me the wrong way because I was like, this statement's so out of line. That's where the insecurity came about. She's very secure in her own skin. If she's hanging out with somebody that's wealthier or somebody that's not, has nothing to do with money. We're in a great place. We, we're both alphas. We're both very strong, opinionated. We both are firecrackers. Like, you ignite us within like a millisecond. But she's great. She's great. And I hope that she finds a great guy and moves on from that.
A
Yeah, that's an interesting situation she has going on. But you did say there's a lot of housewives that have great marriages. I mean, there actually aren't. I mean, you probably. Well, there is Heather Dubrow. Okay. Heather. Heather Bro is probably one of the last ones. Stani. Okay.
B
Kathy Hilton.
A
Okay.
B
Marisol Patton.
A
Yeah. But she met her guy later in the show. She was single, I think. I'm not saying it's going to happen for you. I do believe you have a great marriage, but I was curious, so I guess you didn't hear, but there is like what they would say almost like a Kardashian curse, a housewife curse, where many women after they appear on the show throughout the last almost 20 years end up getting divorced. If you look at like all the OC girls and the New Jersey girls and all these other things and New York. And so I just wondered if anybody in your world came to concern of even if you have a rock solid marriage, it's hard to anticipate what the voices online and everything might do to chip away at a what would normally be, you know, a solid marriage.
B
Add to that list Lisa Rinna. Because she's still also married. But.
A
And yeah, yeah, that's true. And she left, though. That's good. She left.
B
Yeah. So there's, I mean, if there's. There's definitely, I'm sure more that I just don't know their names. But I don't know. And maybe I'm speaking out of line here because I haven't really been a fan of like all of the franchises, nor have I did I do my homework and watching them like religiously or like I didn't really know so much. So maybe you're going to tell me I'm way out aligned here. But. But I feel like my husband is very secure in his skin. He does not care if I'm shining brighter. He does. It's not about money. There's no worry about the paycheck or if it's coming. If it doesn't, I'm not like a breadwinner, per se, that makes a dent in this relationship. So he's so secure in himself. Like, he does not care. He's rocking solid about, like, what people are saying. So I think that is a way that maybe would crumble a relationship. He. I always said, and I still say this to my friends, if you are truly an ambitious woman, you have two options. You either marry a supportive husband or you don't get married at all. There's. That's it. And it's a supportive husband that is going to support your decisions through whatever it is and never feel inferior or, like, you know, doubt that you are making the right choice. So I feel that that's what. How Massoud and I are. But it does scare me because I'm like, wait, am I not seeing what everyone else is seeing, or am I just that lucky that I have this amazing relationship? Or am I really just boarding the train of disaster?
A
Well, now that you said that, and we're, you know, if I was to write a college paper on it now, I would want to highlight the marriages that have made it and see what those similarities are. And now that you've pointed it out, I do think that everybody that I have talked to that got divorced after being on the show, they all said, I would have probably still gotten divorced, but maybe this sped it up. Maybe highlighting. So maybe highlighting the negativity, or they went on the show because they weren't happy in their marriage and they thought either watching it back would make the asshole husband realize he was an asshole and be nicer or give them an avenue to leave the asshole. So now that you say that, I look back at the ones you brought up. The Hiltons have been married forever, and they lived through fame already before she got on the show. So I. And he keeps his distance, and he thinks she's a hoot. The first time I met Rick Hilton, he said he knew me as a comedian. He said, you know, Kathy does impressions. Kathy does all these voices, which is like, so funny that now we see her as a funny person. We didn't know that, you know, 15 years ago. And also, you know, the way that Lisa and Harry Hamblin, even when she goes, don't fucking talk about the husband or whatever, it's because she was smart enough to know, like. Like, you can. You're not gonna ever fuck with that. You know, it's people that. I think you're right. I think it's women that come into it and have it at a pedestal. I mean, I do Think a shocking one was Kyle and Mauricio. But I would also argue that if Kyle and Mauricio weren't in the public eye, would they have lasted as long as they did? Because she even said, it hurts me when people said we. You were our goals. And it was the thing I was the most proud of, that I stayed married this long. And it makes me wonder, well, would you have stayed married that long if you weren't stuck on this pedestal of the lasting, cutest couple? You know, like, sometimes I'm like, sometimes these. These people that go relationship goals. I'm like, God, that's a lot to live up to, too. Yeah, you know what I mean, that everyone thinks you're like, this great thing. So, no, I'm. I'm not worried about you guys. I just wondered had you, you know, heard that? But I think you bringing up, too, that the money isn't something that's keeping the household going. And I do think with certain housewives, it gets to be that, or it's the addiction to the fame that they never want to let go. Like, there's people that have been on the show that are kind of like, I can take it or leave it or whatever. And then there's other, you know, there's other ones that I feel like, get a taste of it. And maybe they always dreamt of being on a friends type of show back in the 90s, but didn't really do the work to get there. And now, like, what was your. What was your relationship with, like, as a little girl? Did you ever secretly think that you could be, like, a famous person or want to be on tv? You said once you started doing the pilot stuff, you actually liked it. But was that ever something that you aspired to do?
B
No. So I just always really liked marketing. It's very clear if you follow my pages, that I really like to market Shoma. Like, I just live and breathe marketing. I. I just genuinely enjoy it. And I think that was really what pushed me to be, like, TV is going to be fun because you get to put the brand out there. And of course it would be fun. But as a little girl, I think more than anything, I just wanted to, you know, see what it was to, like, have friends and, like, be, you know, surround myself with people. And then with time is when I realized this is not, you know, it's just not. It's tough. It's very tough having friends and cultivating the friendships and stuff. But I never really looked forward to being famous. It was when Larsa and I had that conversation and she was like, I think you'll enjoy it. You already enjoy social media, it'll be fun. But to be honest with you, Heather, I go to bed at like 8:30, like I'm not out. Like when we go to restaurants at six o', clock, you don't catch me in Miami going out like at nine to be seen. I'm not going to purposely like the hottest restaurants to get a picture taken of me. It's not my personality. So has fame really done anything for me that I love love? No, not really.
A
I think that's also really interesting. It was just something I've said about like the future of these type of shows and stuff is that by getting younger people like yourself, they have, you know, experienced the last 20 years being on social media and sharing a lot about their life. So going the next step and having a reality show isn't such a huge massive change in their life the way it was if someone joined Housewives with, with no social media 10 years ago, had their marriage exposed, had all this stuff. I think, I think that's why like the TikTok moms and the Mormon moms, why they are so open about their lives on camera because they already were open on it before and why like the gen, the Next gen, whatever, that show in New York with all the other kids that were, you know, children of Housewives or whatnot, why they're really comfortable in doing it and it's not like a debilitating thing to have their life out there. And so yeah, I agree with, with, with what Larsa said. I'm, you know, it's also a challenge with Housewives when they bring on a friend that they're like, you better be my friend and we better stick together and be loyal forever. Because throughout filming that could be fractured. Was that ever concerned you think of Larsa's?
B
I don't think so. And actually funny because I was just talking about this the other day. I think Larsa knows my personality. Like it's like if you know exactly who I am and like how I am in the sense of like I'm argumentative, like I'm not going to stay quiet. You know, I'm not a pushover. I'm not going to be able to side with you if I think you're completely wrong. And I'm going to give you my opinion. I'm just not a soft spoken person. So I don't think she expects me to just side with her blindly. I mean, maybe I'm not going to Throw her under the bus, because that's horrible. But I'll definitely voice to her like, I think you're wrong or anything. And I also think that makes a strong relationship and a strong friendship if you're honest with your friend. And she understands how I am and I understand how she is. I mean, she didn't take my side at something on the reunion, and it wasn't major, but, you know, I'm not. I hang out with her, like, every other day. I go to her house and stuff. So I think it's. We're good.
A
Yeah, I love it. Well, I thoroughly enjoyed getting to know you, and I'm so glad that you came on Juicy Scoop, because I always think those are my favorite kind of interviews, is when. When there's a new housewife and we just don't really know the story and we can hear it directly, like, in a long episode like this, and get to really know your point of view and your background. And thank you for being so open and honest and sharing everything. And I do love the show. I think Miami's so fun, just as a city, as, like, a eighth character. And I like all the girls. I think Marisol is hilarious. I think they're all funny. I think Lisa's funny. I think. I think Kiki is great. You know, I. I. The. The one thing I was going to say that I also appreciate you bringing up is that, you know, your estrangement from your sisters, and I have an estrangement with family members as well, siblings, and that I shared on this platform and on my Patreon. And I think it's something that people immediately think is, like, so weird and shocking. Unless you've lived it yourself.
B
Yeah. Once you live it and then you understand, like, it's just. It's wild because, like, it's not like, we don't want to make up. I'm sure you want to fix it. It's just sometimes it's like you don't know where to go, how. How to fix it. You know, they think you're the bad one. You think they don't understand you. It's.
A
And it's. It's hard, too, when. When one person is at a level of success and fame and money, and it's always perceived as, like, you know, oh, you think you're this. Or, you didn't invite me, or you. It's never enough. It's like when you realize, oh, well, that's not gonna be enough. If you gave them a small house to live in, they'd be like, well, thanks. Nice. Might be nice to have a pool in Miami, you know, like, whatever it is, you know, And I think a lot of people can. And we even saw it a little bit with Kiki talking about the. Her relatives in Haiti and how upset she was and, you know, what a difficult situation that is. And I thought that was like a really unique story thing that I've never seen talked about on tv. And so I do love the show for the different cultural aspect of it. And I think your show is very unique to the other franchises. And so I hope that you stay on and I hope that all the girls. I think all the girls need to stay. So many times at an end of a season, we're almost at the end of season, people will be like, this person has to go. And I haven't really seen that. I think you guys are like a really funny.
B
That's for sure.
A
Yeah, they're funny. Cohesive and. And a lot of, like, deep love and friendship there too, among the women. Yeah, for sure.
B
I think it's. And it's good. I mean, I'm glad that I tried it. I'm glad that I ended up throwing myself in there. I'm not going to say it's easy. Reality TV is very hard. Not only is it time consuming, I'm strong person, but, you know, even if I had a social media following now, being picked up by the press just for whatever reason, like, it's like I posted something and then it ends up on like, you know, some article, and I'm like, wait, everything's misconstrued. Everything's just. That's been really tough on me. That's been really hard. But the girls are great and I think it was. It was fine. Wait till you watch the reunion, though. The reunion. I don't even know. Like, at one point I was like, I. I don't even know, like, what to do with myself right now. It was. It was wild.
A
Did you have a hard time choosing your dress and hair and makeup and all that whole look?
B
I did. I did. Well, I did the hair. I did. I like to do, like, a lot of different things, so that was fine because I've had the same glam team for 10 years, so they're always with me. That was. Was a little bit easier. The dress, I had a hard time, ended up getting it designed by someone.
A
So I think that's smart because I always am like, you know, you. They give you, like a color palette or whatever, right, that they want you to stick with and then. But I'm almost also like, you know, you're sitting for like eight hours. So there's always like certain dresses where I'm like, okay, you know, this look, this you gotta con. If it was me, I'm like, I'd want to kind of camouflage any kind of tummy area. Kind of like squirt of fat come in like underneath the armpit.
B
My short little arms.
A
Yeah. But then like you want to show a leg and a great shoe and I want to be somewhat comfortable. And I think so many times people don't do the whole sitting test before choosing. So I, I do think getting a dress made is, would probably be the smartest thing. So I'm excited to see the. The Smart Show. Well, tell everybody where they can follow you if they aren't already.
B
Steph Shojai on Instagram and TikTok. So did my first, my initial what?
A
Steph and then sugar die stuff with an F, right?
B
Ph.
A
Oh, you can't pronounce my last name. Sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry. I, I always, because I have two friends that one spells it with an F and one spells it with a ph. So I always like forget. But so it's F, S, T, E.
B
P, H and then Shojai it's S, H, O, J, A, E, E on Instagram. But I'm so thank you so much for inviting me and you know, I'm sure Derek will tell you and others that, that I am not one to take podcasts and a lot of interviews. I'm really exclusive about like what I take. Cause I don't want my, I don't want just a over shadowing one other one and another podcast and so I'm very happy that it was yours. Thank you for inviting me. It was very fun and I'm glad that you know, you get to know a little bit more about me and the world because right now they're all judging from a couple minutes that they see on tv.
A
Yeah, well, I'm excited. I'm excited for the future and the reunion and thanks again for taking the time out of your busy day. It was really fun to talk to you.
B
Thank you so much.
A
Thanks. Bye.

The episode’s main themes include recent celebrity news, the intersection of fame and privacy (especially around AI’s role in media), and a deep exploration of Stephanie’s unique journey: her background, her unapologetically child-free life, her high-profile marriage, and dynamics within the Housewives franchise. Listeners are treated to both pop culture analysis and an illuminating look at one of Bravo’s most talked-about new personalities.

AI Steals Heather’s Voice (13:08)
