Have you ever wondered what it is like to experience our NeuroMyndra® coaching method directly? You may have watched videos on shadow work and Jung’s concept of Individuation, but what does it actually feel like in direct experience,We often share our stories, but we thought it would be great to hear real-life examples of how the process of Individuation can make an impact on lives from graduates of our Jungian Life Coach training program and their clients. We gathered a few of our Master-Level Jungian Life Coaches to be guests on our JUNG ON PURPOSE podcast this week to share their personal and professional experiences with shadow work. Hear insights and get inspired by Miguel Santos, Drew Turner and Dr. Karen Chen. From anxious and "broken" to whole: Coach Miguel Santos shares how shadow work helped him get off anti-anxiety medication by learning to hear what his emotions were actually telling him.Freedom from the mask: Coach Drew Turner opens up about how confronting her shadow (the fear of being seen as "stupid") let her finally embody her real, playful self after years of hiding. From surviving to thriving: Dr. Karen Chen reflects on how facing her own emotional avoidance patterns rewired "the entire architecture" of her life. The power of projection: Debra and Dr. Rob unpack why shadow work isn't about fixing your past — it's about reclaiming the power you've been giving away to the outside world. Here's how to find out more about our Guest Master Jungian Life Coaches:Dr. Karen Chen - https://www.instagram.com/karenchen_psychiatristcoach/Miguel Santos - https://miguelsantos.co/Drew Turner - https://www.drewturnercoaching.com/Share Your Thoughts with Us...•••Want to be a Certified Jungian Life Coach? Your purpose isn't something you find. It's what's left when your ego finally gets out of the way.In our next episode of JUNG ON PURPOSE, Why The Ego Blocks Your Purpose, we unpack what purpose actually is, and why so many people confuse it with career success or a life plan. Drawing on the Upanishads' concept of dharma, Jungian individuation, and the hero's journey, they explain the four pillars of a whole life (relationships, success, wellness, and dharma), why the "call" to purpose usually shows up as a midlife wall around 30, and why the ego resists that call at every turn. Discover why discomfort and resistance are often a sign you're on the right path, why mentors and coaches matter more than any tactic or strategy, and how true purpose requires the ego's version of you to symbolically die so a deeper, soul-led version can take over.In this episode, we will unpack:The four pillars that make up a whole, aligned lifeWhy so many people hit "the pause" around age 30Why resistance and discomfort often mean you're on the right pathHow the ego fights to keep you safe, familiar, and stuckWhy mentors and coaches carry your belief in yourself until you canShare Your Thoughts with Us...•••Want to be a Certified Jungian Life Coach? You keep hearing that you have to "let go of the ego," but do you actually know what your ego is?In this episode, we take on one of the most misunderstood words in personal growth: ego. Rather than picking one definition, we walk through four completely different lenses (neuroscience, Freud, Jung, and non-dual Eastern philosophy) and unpack how each one changes what "working on yourself" actually means. We start with why neuroscience calls the ego an "emergent property," something that can be observed but never fully explained. Then we get into the real Freudian model: the ego as the exhausted middleman between the id's pleasure-seeking and the superego's internalized parent, and why the ego, in Freud's view, actually loves keeping you confused. From there we unpack Jung's very different take: the ego as the sun rising and setting, the persona we wear, the shadow we disown, and why real growth in midlife isn't about destroying the ego but shifting its center of gravity toward the larger Self. We close by unpacking the non-dual perspective: the idea that the ego isn't something to fix at all, but a misperception to see through, so you can create from wholeness instead of lack.Whether you're a coach, a client, or just someone tired of hearing "ego" thrown around without context, we give you the actual map, so the next time someone says "check your ego," you'll know exactly which model they're (probably not) talking about.Share Your Thoughts with Us...•••Want to be a Certified Jungian Life Coach? What if the person you fell in love with was never who you thought they were? In this episode of Jung on Purpose, we explore romantic love through the lens of Jungian psychology and non-dual philosophy, revealing that the overwhelming pull of attraction is actually your own soul image projected onto another person. We trace how the templates we absorbed from our parents quietly shape who we choose, why the honeymoon glow fades, and what surfaces in a long relationship once the projection falls away. Rather than treating relationship struggles as evidence that something needs fixing, we offer a more liberating view: your partner is a mirror, your patterns are an invitation to know yourself, and relationships may be the most powerful path to growth there is.Key takeawaysFalling in love is a projection of your own soul image, which is why it feels transcendent and beyond your control. That doesn't make it less real; it's how the psyche opens us to deep connection with another person.Your early relationships with your mother and father created the template for who you're drawn to and how you relate, and these patterns run beneath awareness until you bring them into the light.Couples fit together like puzzle pieces through unconscious complementarity, so what frustrates you most about your partner often points back to something unseen in yourself. There is no finish line where you're finally "healed enough" for love. Growth is a lifelong discovery, and a conscious relationship is one of the richest places to do it.Share Your Thoughts with Us...•••Want to be a Certified Jungian Life Coach? You've done the therapy or some coaching. Read the books. Practiced mindfulness, breathwork and somatic healing. So why does lasting happiness still feel just out of reach? In this episode of Jung on Purpose, Debra and Dr. Rob explore a profound insight from Jungian psychology and Eastern non-dual philosophy: the reason we're still suffering may be that we're looking for happiness in the wrong place. In this episode of Jung on Purpose, we open a new summer series on non-dual philosophy and its practical implications for how we create, grow, and live. Drawing from Advaita Vedanta, Taoism, Christian mysticism, and the leading edge of neuroscience, we illuminate why so many people remain stuck despite doing all the "right" inner work, and how understanding the nature of the finite self changes everything. What non-duality actually means across wisdom traditions, from Meister Eckhart's mystical union to Advaita's "not two," and why modern quantum science is beginning to echo these ancient insightsThe finite self and karma as conditioning rooted in survival patterns inherited through family, lineage, and the unconscious, not personal failure or lack of effortWhy the ego can't use spiritual knowledge for its own goals, and how obstacles showing up in your life are invitations to examine the unconscious rather than signals to try harderPurpose as the only true motivator in a non-dual framework, the internal "why" strong enough to sustain action without being destabilized by external resultsShare Your Thoughts with Us...•••Want to be a Certified Jungian Life Coach? This week on Jung on Purpose, Debra and Dr. Rob explore one of the most overlooked influences on personality and identity: sibling relationships. While parents often receive the most attention in psychology, siblings are often our longest-lasting relationships and play a powerful role in shaping how we see ourselves, compete, connect, and find our place in the world. Through the lens of the Archetypal Family Field™, they reveal how family roles, sibling rivalry, family myths, and unconscious loyalties continue to influence our careers, relationships, and life choices long after childhood. In this episode you'll discover:Why siblings often have more influence on your identity than you realizeThe difference between family roles and archetypal patternsHow sibling dynamics continue to replay in work, leadership, relationships, and successShare Your Thoughts with Us...•••Want to be a Certified Jungian Life Coach?
