Jimmy Wetzel
That's one of my hot topics.
Trisha Paytas
I was so gay icon. Gay icon.
Jimmy Wetzel

Trisha Paytas
I was like, oh, oh, oh, no.
Jimmy Wetzel

Jimmy Wetzel
Hello.
Trisha Paytas
You're like a co host now. I feel like there's like, you know, and Oscar is not available and we saw Oscar stream. Oscar is booked and busy. He has a very full time job back home that he cannot travel all the time for. So we have Jimmy filling in, which you like. You're like a co host. You're like. You really are a fourth co host. Even when you edit, people are like.
Jimmy Wetzel
Love, J. I feel like the. The Wendy Williams shady cameraman. You're Wendy. Oscar's Norman. Moses is Suzanne because she handles the camera and I'm the shady cameraman.
Trisha Paytas
That is so true.
Jimmy Wetzel
I try not to be too shady, though, because we do want guests on the podcast.
Moses Hackman
But you have the best control and you have the last say.
Jimmy Wetzel
Yeah, I kind of. I do make some executive decisions sometimes. I try not to go too crazy. I leave pretty much everything in for the most part.
Trisha Paytas
I. I always will text Jimmy afterwards. I'll be like, clean up what you need, whatever you need. I never know. I'm like, I don't know if something sounds bad or whatever. So. No, you do a very good job. It was helpful. Jimmy's got it.
Jimmy Wetzel
Thank you.
Trisha Paytas
And Moses is here.
Moses Hackman
Yeah, I'm just. I'm just here. It's so weird because usually I'm in the back with my headphones on, so it feels strange not to hear you guys in my headphones. Yeah, I feel, like, naked. And then I also. Usually you only see me when I'm.
Trisha Paytas
Yeah, people were gagged when there was the wide shot when you're sitting next to Nicole.
Moses Hackman
Because we were like, you know, you're the host. This is the Hot Topic. People.
Trisha Paytas
People were like, why isn't he sitting extra? I said the same thing. I was like, well, you can sit next to me. And you're like, no, you should sit there. And I was like, okay.
Moses Hackman
No, they'd be like a couple. I don't. I thought it would be more of a hot topic. That was my mistake because I was like, you know what? She's here for the first time. It's gonna end up being more of an interview. So it could have been just like an interview.
Trisha Paytas
Moses told me in the car. He's like, well, I was just worried if, like, you weren't able to, like, handle the hot topics.
Moses Hackman
I did not say that.
Trisha Paytas
You did say that. And I was like, what do you mean? Because you're like, well, just in case, like, you couldn't, like, do it.
Moses Hackman
I was like, no, I did not say that.
Trisha Paytas
You did. Well, it makes sense.
Moses Hackman
Like, I said I had hot topics, and I didn't know how many hot topics would be. So I Was like, here to just have a conversation on Hot Topics. That was more of an interview because you guys met for the first time.
Trisha Paytas
Yeah, we love Nicole. I think she's coming to the show tonight, which is very exciting.
Jimmy Wetzel
I liked her. I had not really. I, like, seen her thumbnails and stuff before, but I didn't know much about her, but she was cracking me up. I texted Oscar. I was like, this girl is making me.
Trisha Paytas
Yeah, no, I did too. Because, like, he's talked so much about her. And, like, a. Same. I kind of just knew, like, thumbnails and stuff. And I, like, first of all, she's, like, so lovely. So many people love her. And then she was, like, so funny. And I was like, okay. Like, I love, love her. She was great. Hopefully I get to see her again. Talking to other New York people. I was talking to Nicole, possibly. Jeff. Jeff Wittek is here. So that tan is coming. So lots of fun. And some New York guests are coming too, so it's, like, really exciting. But this is, like, very like Conan back in the day. You have, like, Andy Richter sit next to the guest. So it's giving, like, that kind of.
Moses Hackman
Vibe to just gonna bother you and.
Jimmy Wetzel
Ask you silly questions.
Trisha Paytas
He was kind of. I guess. Yeah, I guess it was maybe not a great example. He's still dancing with the stars, huh? Andy Richter.
Moses Hackman
Is he still on?
Trisha Paytas
I think he's still on.
Moses Hackman
Wow.
Jimmy Wetzel
Yeah.
Trisha Paytas
That's crazy. I think Jen Affleck went home before him. How are you, Jimmy?
Jimmy Wetzel
I'm good. I'm good. I'm so happy to be here. And it was so fun seeing you yesterday. Like, I just. I could gush about it for, like, 15 freaking minutes. It was so great. Like, couldn't. I, like, couldn't take my eyes off of you. I was trying. I was like, well, I gotta. I gotta, like, watch Beetlejuice and Lydia. Like, they are the main characters. But I had seen the show before, so I was kind of like, okay, I can, like, look at some of the other actors and stuff like that throughout the show and see what they're doing. Because everyone is so locked into their performance, their facial expressions, when other characters speak. Like, there's so much going on that it really. It. You benefit from seeing something multiple times because you can watch it in different ways. And I was just so impressed with you, like, sitting at the table and, like, fake talking and reacting. It was just so, so good.
Trisha Paytas
Thank you. Yeah, it's like, something I actually learned here. Like, I actually didn't know that either. Like, I See Broadway shows all the time. And I'm like, very much focused on like, whoever's like, talking or. Yes. I really don't, like, pay attention if someone's not. But I did learn that from here that the mics are off so you can have like full on conversations. Like when Lydia comes down, like, okay, you crossed a deal and you say, oh, I love the dress. How does she. This house, like, you know, like, full on conversations, which I didn't know about. But yeah, I love learning all that. Yeah, it is funny because same before I got the part of Maxine Dean, like, I was never, like, looking at her during. Because the scene, there's like, literally so much is happening. Like, you miss my solo because, like, someone's like, face is getting eaten by shrimp cocktail. And so I never, like, paid attention. But it's so funny even when I'm on stage, like, even seeing like a little lawyer, like, scrambling across. And I was just like, oh, that's so funny. I, like, never paid attention. My dad said the same thing. He's like, yeah, during the scene, he's like, he'll like, notice what I did. And I'm like, that's so funny because your eye is just on Beetlejuice. Literally everything happening. So it's like our characters are off to the side. But I'm glad that people.
Moses Hackman
Well, not in this case. Everyone. We're looking at you.
Trisha Paytas
Not everyone. I'm on for like a few minutes. So Beetlejuice is on for like two and a half hours. So I guess for the few minutes, I guess it's nice.
Moses Hackman
But yeah, because I see, like, the audience reacts to every word you say. Yeah, like, you say a word and everyone just laughs and gushes over and then like, every line. Because every line is also a good joke, like, funny.
Trisha Paytas
And I'm a pretty good part.
Moses Hackman
Yeah.
Trisha Paytas
Thank you for coming. It's so cool. Like, so far, every night I've had someone that I've known come to the show and it just makes it like, so much more special because I'm like, okay, like, someone's out there and I get to like, see, you know, we get to go on the stage after, which is. That's like my favorite part because I love being on the stage. And like, I didn't know that was like, a thing. But yeah, like, people can come backstage after and it's like, it was so much fun. And your sister was with you?
Jimmy Wetzel
Yeah, my sister Katie was with me. I didn't know I was gonna have a plus one until, like, few Days before.
Trisha Paytas
Right.
Jimmy Wetzel
And I would have been fine just going by myself, but I was just like, hey, can you get off work like, a half an hour early and come to the show? She floored it.
Trisha Paytas
Oh, my God.
Jimmy Wetzel
She parked down the street, and it was. It was great.
Trisha Paytas
How do you park in New York? She said that. And I was like, what does that mean? Parking?
Jimmy Wetzel
You try a lot and then pay too much.
Trisha Paytas
Oh, it's in, like, a. Like a parking structure.
Jimmy Wetzel
Yeah. Yeah. It was, like, 60 bucks, which is actually. I feel, like, on the lower end for Time Square, but, yeah, it was good.
Moses Hackman
I'm surprised I have a ticket.
Jimmy Wetzel
Yeah. Yeah. Honestly, there was one right across the theater that was, like, fully booked. It was like. It was. It was. I walked up, I was like, hey, do you have any openings? I was trying to find one that she could pull into. They're like, no, we're not taking any more cars.
Trisha Paytas
I was like, damn, that is crazy. So people are paying that $60.
Jimmy Wetzel
Yeah.
Trisha Paytas
That is like, a ticket. Yeah. Moses will come to the show. Like, he'll come to the show. Like. Like, every night so far, he's come to the show. So he'll, like, buy a ticket, like, last minute, and he'll be, like, up in, like, the balcony, watching it. One, like, closer, he's like, I like to see it from every angle. So, like, he'll be like, up there. And it's so funny.
Moses Hackman
Like you said, there's so much going on on the stage. So there's, like, a lot of Easter eggs, a lot of different things they do every time. So every show, I get to notice more details and more things and different characters. And because they do, like, every moment they're on stage, they're doing something like Beetlejuice. Even leaving will just do a gesture, movement, or, like, it never stops, never out of character. And it's extra. So there's always something to watch besides your scene. Your scene. I just. I'm just like, wherever you go.
Trisha Paytas
That's so funny. That's so funny. Well, I give it my all every time, just in case. Like, why people are watching me. I gotta really just give it my all. So it's been good. No hiccups, obviously. Except for the breaking chair on opening night. So I did break a chair. It was crazy. I've seen the footage. You're not supposed to film the show, FYI, do not film the show. But someone was filming. They must have been filming the whole thing because they wouldn't have known I was gonna break the chair. Right?
Jimmy Wetzel
So yeah.
Moses Hackman
Well, there must be just.
Jimmy Wetzel
Yeah, yeah.
Trisha Paytas
Okay. There was multiple angles of it, too. So I was like, oh, my gosh. Yeah. It was not part of the show, but, you know, got it out of the way.
Moses Hackman
You didn't break the chair. The chair was obviously broken. Like a chair.
Trisha Paytas
It was possessed by the Maitlands or what. What happened to the chair?
Moses Hackman
Also, like, that's the most. Because building chairs is the hardest thing. But also, like, when you push a chair back, the legs, like, you know, they're secure sitting down, usually they're not that secure going sideways, like, you push the chair.
Trisha Paytas
You always have an excuse. The chair I broke in our glam room, too. I was like, it was already broken.
Moses Hackman
It was. That's why it was there, because we took it out of the studio, but.
Trisha Paytas
People sit on it and it didn't break more.
Jimmy Wetzel
Anyways, I will say I've seen the video. You recovered like a pro.
Trisha Paytas
Thank you. Thank you.
Jimmy Wetzel
Like, you know, it. Anything could happen. That's. That is show business. Yes. The show goes on.
Trisha Paytas
Yeah, that is true.
Moses Hackman
Yeah.
Jimmy Wetzel
Yeah.
Moses Hackman
I thought it was part of the show. I thought, you know, because there's chaos and everyone are stumbling and falling, so I thought that was part of the show. I didn't think something happened. I couldn't imagine a chair, like, we'll give way or something, because.
Trisha Paytas
Yeah, me neither. I thought. Because I stand on a table at one point, too. Like, like a coffee table. And, like, are you guys sure? Because, like, I asked that because, you guys know, I'm like, my head. I mean, I am, like, 240, but in my head, I'm like. I feel like I'm 400, you know? And I'm like, is it going to hold? And like, yeah, it holds, like, £400 or whatever. And I was like, okay. So with the chair breaking, that was, like, the last thing. Because I do stand up on a table at some point, too, which is like a stunt for me. I always get a little nervous. And I was like, oh. And I'm in heels. I'm in the whole thing. But it's fun. I've been having so much fun. It's like, literally the best show ever. You're gonna go see oh Mary tonight?
Jimmy Wetzel
Yes. I'm so excited. I found out Jane Krakowski is going to be oh Mary a couple months ago when they announced it, I was like, oh, be so cool to fly out and see it. And then, like, I think very shortly after you announced, or you maybe you told me, like, I'm gonna be on Broadway I was just like, oh, like, I wonder if this will work out? And I kind of didn't even think about it until, like, right before I left. I think I told you on Halloween, I was just like, I think I'm gonna try to get, like, day of tickets to Omari or something, because I just assumed to be completely sold out, and it kind of was.
Trisha Paytas
Yeah.
Jimmy Wetzel
But I checked yesterday, and there were literally, like, four, five tickets left. So I got one for myself, my sister, my dad, and my stepmom, and they're gonna come in.
Trisha Paytas
Oh, you're all gonna go tonight?
Jimmy Wetzel
Yeah. Yeah. I'm very excited. Oh, yeah. Because they wanted to. We were gonna go out to dinner, and I was kind of like.
Moses Hackman
I was kind of like, can we push dinner?
Jimmy Wetzel
Because I want to go see Omar.
Trisha Paytas
Yeah, do both. Are you gonna do dinner after or before? I don't know.
Jimmy Wetzel
It depends on what time it ends. There's an Italian restaurant right next to my hotel that is right really decorated, cute. And I passed it every time I've left, but I'm not. I'm like, I don't know if it's 1:1. I go sit by myself.
Trisha Paytas
Oh, yeah. So, like, a vibe.
Jimmy Wetzel
Yeah. So I was just like, you know what? Maybe we'll go in there. I keep hearing, like, a live singer coming from.
Trisha Paytas
Oh, I think Carmine's has a live singer too. I think we have. You been to Carmines?
Jimmy Wetzel
Once years ago, but it was delicious.
Trisha Paytas
It's like, my favorite. Like, every guest I have coming in town, I'm like, let's go to Carmen's. Yeah, I'm. I'm having trouble with too. Maybe New Yorkers can help us know our theater growers can help us. Like, if you go to dinner before the show or after, because, like, after we know, like, everything's like, closed at, like, 10.
Jimmy Wetzel
Yeah.
Trisha Paytas
So it's like, do you go. The show starts at 7. So, like, are you going at, like, 5:30 early?
Jimmy Wetzel
And then that. That's when, like, everyone is going.
Trisha Paytas
Yeah.
Jimmy Wetzel
Especially, like, a show. Yeah.
Trisha Paytas
Yeah. We're right next to an Olive Garden, the Beetlejuice theater. And I want to go there so bad. There's also a place called Mercury Bar. My makeup artist here in New York, Jason, was like, the chicken fingers at Mercury Bar is so good. They're on grubhub. They're not on Postmates or Doordash. And I was, like, trying to grubhub it yesterday. That's why I asked you how far you were from the theater, because I wanted you to pick up the chicken fingers. They were like, right around the block. But, like, for some reason I couldn't place the order. Like, I couldn't place pickup. I don't know what was happening, but I've been getting a lot of good food suggestions. But I'm a Carmine's. Have you been to Ellen Stardust Diner?
Jimmy Wetzel
No, I haven't. I passed it a million times.
Trisha Paytas
You never been?
Jimmy Wetzel
No, I really haven't done a lot of, like, the touristy kind of things in New York I did when I was a kid. Like, every Christmas Eve we used to go down into Manhattan. And that was like the big time when we were kids to go. And we would go to the Nintendo Stor, which. You gotta go. You gotta. This.
Trisha Paytas
Where is it?
Jimmy Wetzel
It's in. It's literally. It's in the Same Plaza as 30 Rock. It's Rockefeller Plaza, so.
Trisha Paytas
Oh, really? We're there all the time because we were there for FAO Schwarz.
Jimmy Wetzel
Yeah. Yeah. It's literally like the opposite street of fa.
Trisha Paytas
Oh, my gosh. Oh, my gosh.
Jimmy Wetzel
It's great.
Trisha Paytas
Have you been since you've been here?
Jimmy Wetzel
Yeah, I went yesterday. I usually. And I usually don't buy anything when I go just because I. It's kind of the same stuff every time. And I've gone like, I'm more than a hundred times in my whole life. But yeah, I went yesterday. I bought a couple of things. I was like, you know what I'm going to get? They had a couple of things that were, like, unique to the store, which is cool. So I got. I got a little. I did a haul in my vlog that I'm going to force myself to post.
Trisha Paytas
Yes.
Jimmy Wetzel
Even if I think I'm cringe in it, I'm like, I need to do it before Oscar posts his from January. I'm so determined.
Trisha Paytas
I hope he sees it. So he posts. I'm like, waiting for that footage. I'm like, where's the footage? I want to see what you did. Are you going to post it on. On your. Because you have like a. You're on Twitch. Would you have like a YouTube channel?
Jimmy Wetzel
Yeah, so I have my. I have my Jimmy Wetzel YouTube channel. YouTube.com Jimmy Wetzel. And you post it there? Yeah, I'll just post it there.
Trisha Paytas
And people, like, loved you. Like yesterday there was like, Moses told me there was like, someone who was like, literally a Jimmy fan. Like, just. Just straight Jimmy. And I love that. Like, that's what's so cool. Because even Oscar said when you guys would Go to, like, the convention stuff. Like, people just know you as, like, Jimmy Wetzel because they followed you for so long. And that's what always is, like, so cool to me, too. I was like, wow, that's so cool. So people probably were, like, so excited. I saw a picture literally in a mission, Moses and Jimmy. And I was just like. Like, with. With somebody. And I was like, that is so cool.
Jimmy Wetzel
It was really cool. There were so many sweet people.
Trisha Paytas
We.
Jimmy Wetzel
We met up because we were on different floors of the show. So we met up at intermission, and I got a drink. If you're at the theater, get the Mar. Ghoul Rita or whatever. That was good as hell. And I. It was strong. I didn't feel it because I. I just have to drink a lot, I guess, to feel anything. But my sister was just like, damn, I don't know. I can't finish this. I'm driving. So I finished hers.
Trisha Paytas
Oh, my God. So you're like, yeah.
Jimmy Wetzel
And you get to keep the cup. So. Yeah, it's like a nice travel cup. And it's my second Beetlejuice cup. Much nicer than the first one. The first one was really good.
Trisha Paytas
Really?
Jimmy Wetzel
I. I still have it back in my dad's house.
Moses Hackman
Yeah.
Jimmy Wetzel
And mug cam.
Trisha Paytas
Yeah.
Jimmy Wetzel
I used to wonder how you guys don't see. See him doing that. And then when I filled in for Oscar, I was like, when the hell did he do?
Trisha Paytas
I know.
Jimmy Wetzel
What the.
Trisha Paytas
Yeah, no, it's literally.
Moses Hackman
That's what I'm saying. I'm hidden, you know, in front of me, there's, like, tripods and lights, and I have a crack to see Oscar. Little space to see Trisha. And then usually when they talk, when I feel, like, the energy, kind of like, okay, this is the moment, I just do it to the camera, and nobody notices. And then if she notices, then it becomes awkward. Then she's like, no, I always do.
Trisha Paytas
Because it'll be like. Even if it's like, something serious like Oscar talking about, I'm like. And I literally see it out of corner. All right. It's very much like, what was that? Like, it's there. It's that.
Jimmy Wetzel
Anyway, so.
Trisha Paytas
Yeah. Yeah. Always I'm like, why did you do it? That moment? It could be like. He's just like. I was like, okay, do it.
Jimmy Wetzel
I try to.
Moses Hackman
Pretty good.
Jimmy Wetzel
Yeah, it's great.
Trisha Paytas
You can get that at Beetlejuice, the musical. I think I got it. Like, we got it.
Moses Hackman
You bought it for me.
Trisha Paytas
Yes. I saw the mugs, and I was like, I Had to get it.
Jimmy Wetzel
I always try to guess if you actually have something in it based on how long you're sipping for.
Moses Hackman
Usually I don't.
Jimmy Wetzel
Yeah.
Trisha Paytas
Oh, what? That's te in it.
Moses Hackman
Cuz usually I have my own mug that I drink from every day.
Trisha Paytas
Oh, what?
Moses Hackman
Yeah, cuz it's like a warm. It keeps it warm and yeah.
Jimmy Wetzel
Collection that you collection.
Moses Hackman
But also sometimes I don't have time. Like I run, I get everything ready, I run up, I look for a mug, I grab one, I go, you know.
Jimmy Wetzel
Plus you don't want to have too many open liquids near all the microphones.
Trisha Paytas
We are always are spilling, not us, but there's always.
Jimmy Wetzel
I don't have an expensive keyboard from the amount of times I've spilled really Soda all over. Yeah.
Trisha Paytas
When you're like editing and stuff.
Jimmy Wetzel
Yeah, I haven't in a while. I've been very good. But yeah, I used to just get like my keyboards from Goodwill and stuff for cheap because I'm like, I'm gonna spill something on this.
Trisha Paytas
So funny. And it doesn't affect. Oh, that's so interesting. I would think you would need a high quality one. You're like, I need it.
Jimmy Wetzel
Oh, the liquids. I thought you meant the quality of the keyboard.
Trisha Paytas
The quality of the keyboard.
Moses Hackman
Yeah.
Jimmy Wetzel
I don't think the keyboard doesn't really matter too much unless you like a certain.
Trisha Paytas
Okay, okay.
Jimmy Wetzel
But yeah, it certainly makes the spacebar not as effective when there's caked on Coca Cola. That's usually when I'm like, are you.
Trisha Paytas
A Coca Cola drinker? Just straight up Coca Cola?
Jimmy Wetzel
Yeah, I've never, I've never been the diet kind. Yeah, I. I really, I don't really like too many sodas. I like a Sprite. Usually like Found Love Sprite. Oh, yeah, Coca Cola. It's been like my crazy. Yeah. There was a period after my mom passed away. We had. People were being very generous and like bringing groceries and stuff to the house. And one time someone brought like three cases of Coke Zero because I think it was new at the time. And I was just. I me in sixth grade, I was like, I'm gonna make this my thing. Oh, I'm gonna be Coke Zero black can. It's so cool. Gross.
Trisha Paytas
Even back then you didn't like it.
Jimmy Wetzel
Yeah, but I, I kept drinking it. I was like, yeah, zero calories don' that means it was not good. It's. I think it's different now. I don't know.
Trisha Paytas
Was it a black can back then?
Jimmy Wetzel
Yeah, it was pretty cool actually. Yeah, I Always thought it was like, oh, this is like, fancy.
Trisha Paytas
Yeah. It gives like my Chemical Romance vibes.
Jimmy Wetzel
Like black and red. It literally was black and red.
Trisha Paytas
I didn't know about that. I never. Yeah. I like a Coke. I like any kind of soda, though. Dr. Pepper, Diet Coke.
Jimmy Wetzel
I can't do Dr. Pepper. I know, it's blasphemous. Everyone in My life loves Dr. Pepper. And my boyfriend Dallas loves Dr. Pepper. He gets Dr. Pepper vanilla from Wendy's. And whenever we get the drinks, if they don't put the little like, tab on the lid to differentiate, I'm like, you need to taste it because, like, I just can't. I. I don't like it.
Trisha Paytas
Wow. Yeah. Moses can tell right away. He's like, no, it's definitely Dr. To me. Everything tastes the same.
Jimmy Wetzel
Really? Yeah. I can tell diet because from Taco Bell sometimes they give me Pepsi Max because it like, is very similar color or something. One of the. The Pepsi's. I always tell when it's not the Pepsi Max.
Trisha Paytas
What does that mean?
Jimmy Wetzel
I don't know.
Trisha Paytas
I didn't know.
Moses Hackman
Probably there's zero.
Jimmy Wetzel
Yeah. Which is so strange because it's called Max. You think it has more in it?
Trisha Paytas
We have the most sugar in this, actually. I'm a Pepsi girl, too. I love everything like. I actually like Pepsi too. I think Pepsi is good. Sometimes I get in those phases, like a dietary. But back in the day, they had a Pepsi twist. Do you remember those?
Jimmy Wetzel
No.
Trisha Paytas
It was Pepsi with lemon already in it. And the Osbornes and the Osmonds did the commercial and it's like, we're not the Osbornes. They like unzip themselves, like, where are the Osmonds? I used to love that commercial. Maybe that's why I like Pepsi or Britney Spears Pepsi commercial. I should drink Pepsi all the time because of that. It's iconic. Pepsi, we love you so much. Pepsi, Pepsi. Have you been doing anything since you've been back that you like miss? Because you're. You're from New York.
Jimmy Wetzel
You're from the Bronx. I'm from the Bronx. I lived there till I was like 23. I moved to Florida. I think 20, 21. However old I was, I don't know anymore.
Trisha Paytas
So, yeah, all blurs together.
Jimmy Wetzel
Yeah.
Trisha Paytas

Jimmy Wetzel
I've looked, but a lot of them have closed down.
Trisha Paytas
Oh. Since.
Jimmy Wetzel
Because they not even like they survived the pandemic, but they're just gone.
Trisha Paytas
Oh, just recent.
Jimmy Wetzel
Yeah. I. I always like to get ramen when I'm in the city because it's. I. I just love ramen.
Trisha Paytas
Like from the store, like a little.
Jimmy Wetzel
I go like a restaurant.
Trisha Paytas
Oh, I think you're getting a cup of noodles.
Jimmy Wetzel
Yeah. My boyfriend and I, we love ramen. There's a place called. Well, it was called Toto Ramen in Hell's Kitchen. I was going there since like 2014, 15 with my friends when they used to live in New York and Stuff, but gone there forever. Survived Covid. But yeah, it. I came back over the summer for a family reunion and I was just like, I'm getting Toto Ramen, let's go. And they had two locations pretty close to each other. And it's Google says permanently closed. And I have not been in the area to like go check myself. Google knows, I'm assuming it's true. So I'm pretty sad about that. And then there was another one. I don't remember the name. I just remember where it was because it was across from where I got one of my tattoos. So I was like, I'll sit down there because I like theirs. And that was gone too.
Trisha Paytas
Oh my God, that's so sad.
Jimmy Wetzel
So really, all the restaurants I know.
Trisha Paytas
Yeah.
Jimmy Wetzel
There's another one that I, I like called Good Enough to Eat. It's like a good breakfast place, nice sit down restaurant. They do dinner as well, but I prefer their breakfast. I don't know if that's still there. I think it is. But yeah, most of the time when I went to the city, I was broke, so.
Trisha Paytas
Yeah. Yeah, same. Every time I've been here, I'm like, oh my God. It was like my last penny and I like, will I make home?
Jimmy Wetzel
Yeah. So my friends, like, if we were gonna go out to eat, it was usually a bar and I would just get like a water and like maybe fries or something.
Trisha Paytas
Yeah, I've been there.
Jimmy Wetzel
Bar that I used to go to with some friends called Jacob's Pickles. I don't know if that's still around, but I really like their, their poutine.
Trisha Paytas
Oh, they have it here in New York. Poutine?
Jimmy Wetzel
Yeah.
Trisha Paytas
I thought it was a Canadian thing.
Jimmy Wetzel
Yeah, I, I think they were like, oh, let's do that.
Trisha Paytas
Yeah. Yeah.
Jimmy Wetzel
Canada loves it.
Trisha Paytas
People love it.
Jimmy Wetzel
Yeah, I had Mac and cheese there and they served it to you in like the cast iron little skillet. It was really cool.
Trisha Paytas
Oh my God.
Jimmy Wetzel
I don't know if they still do that, but they did in 2016.
Trisha Paytas
Oh, I love that. That's like a memory for you.
Jimmy Wetzel
Yeah.
Trisha Paytas
Mac and cheese of it all. Yeah, I love, I've been loving all the little spots too. There's one called Vanilla Gorilla and they have like the best, like paste, like morning breakfast sandwiches, like wrapped in like sweet bread. It's just been so. And obviously pizza on the street. Like, I'm. I don't know, I'm a sucker for it. Like, I would love to get a slice, like anytime we can. I'm like, I Want to just get a slice even if I'm not hungry?
Jimmy Wetzel
Yeah.
Trisha Paytas
So good.
Jimmy Wetzel
L. Whenever, like, anyone's visiting New York, they're always just like, oh, what's the best place to get pizza? And I'm like, honestly? Yeah, 99 cent. Like, it's. It's all gonna kind of taste the same. Like, you can. It's fun to go. There's one, I think you order from a Joe's Pizza. That's where Peter Parker works in one of the Spider man movies in the Tobey Maguire ones.
Trisha Paytas
Oh, really?
Jimmy Wetzel
Yeah. That's, like, one of their big claims to fame, I think. But, yeah, they're, like, pretty famous. And the pizza's good, but, like, there's so many. I was literally walking to a 99 cent pizza with GPS and then I passed three more that were closer.
Trisha Paytas
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Jimmy Wetzel
So I just went to one of them. I got a whole pie for, like, 12 bucks.
Moses Hackman
Wow.
Jimmy Wetzel
Can't be. I had four slices.
Trisha Paytas
So cheap. Yeah. We go and get, like, the big size. I like the one with the big white spots in it. I don't know if it's mozzarella or stracciatella, but it's, like, really good.
Jimmy Wetzel
Yeah. I usually just get a plain cheese just because you can't go wrong.
Trisha Paytas
Me too. But I've been. I've been adventuring out with the other cheese.
Jimmy Wetzel
Yeah, it's fun.
Trisha Paytas
It's been. So.
Jimmy Wetzel
I like a buffalo chicken. Those are.
Trisha Paytas
Oh, I haven't had that yet. That does sound good, though. When in New York.
Jimmy Wetzel
Yeah. But if you're. If you're ever visiting, set up, like, you can go to, like, a. A really famous pizza place because that is fun. But make, like, a fun, like, ranking for yourself of, like, we tried all these 99 cent pizzas, and, like, these were our favorite. That's fun, too. And it's so much cheaper.
Trisha Paytas
Okay. Editor mode, producer mode. You're like, here's a content idea for you if you're ever here.
Jimmy Wetzel
Also Editor mode. Patreon.com.
Moses Hackman
Oh, my God.
Trisha Paytas
Why did we. We start at the beginning with that?
Jimmy Wetzel
You can check the first episode of Live from the Editing Floor.
Moses Hackman
Oh, yeah.
Jimmy Wetzel
With Moses.
Moses Hackman
Launched my podcast.
Jimmy Wetzel
Yes.
Moses Hackman
It's only on patreon. Patreon.com.
Trisha Paytas
Yes. We. We were supposed to have a guest after our last Hot Topics, and it just didn't work out. Like, he wasn't able to make it. So we had, like, this extra studio time, and Mo's like, this is the chance. This is my time to do the Podcast, so. Which is great because we need one for patreon, so. Yes. Patreon.com justchurch did you and Oscar film your.
Jimmy Wetzel
Not yet. That was news to me that we were gonna film that epis. I woke up to the group chat from you guys and Oscar's like, yeah, me and Jimmy are gonna film a who's gay or test. And I was just like, I'm down. But I did not know I'm down.
Trisha Paytas
I think it's because of your edits of him. Like, gay boy.
Jimmy Wetzel
You know, I love. I love to tease Oscar, but I. I do fear that I'm going to pass this test with flying. Yeah.
Moses Hackman
Yeah.
Trisha Paytas
Well, you are. Yeah. I don't know actually. It's hard to tell because you guys are so similar. The short shorts, like, always get me, which I love, but it's everything I wish more people would wear. I wish Moses would wear short shorts.
Jimmy Wetzel
That'd be great.
Trisha Paytas
Yeah. Sexiest man alive over here. Not Moses, but in my heart, you are.
Moses Hackman
I thought it was the ocean.
Trisha Paytas
He loved it. So who sent it first in our group chat? Was it you, Oscar? Love that, by the way, because, like, Oscar, we love. Like, to me, you're the type who send things in the group chat that are just like, fun and funny and Oscar rarely does. So that was like, so funny to me when he, like, sent it, I was like. Because it was like, like right after we filmed our Hot Topics last week. And like, it was like, I don't know, maybe 11 o' clock here and he sent it and I was like, that's so funny because I get excited for it. I wouldn't think Oscar would get excited for it. So I was like, fun to see it in the group chat. And then the Moses was like, love the ocean part of it because he's like in the water.
Jimmy Wetzel
Yeah.
Trisha Paytas
Coming out. He looks. What do you think about it deserving?
Jimmy Wetzel
I actually, my favorite picture from it was when he has, like the push pop the ice cream.
Trisha Paytas
Oh, my God.
Jimmy Wetzel
Well, that was the. The sunglasses. That was hot. That was so hot. Oh, is.
Trisha Paytas
You're a Jonathan Bailey fan?
Jimmy Wetzel
I have become one because of Wicked. I've only seen him in Wicked. I haven't seen, like, Bridgerton or anything. There's. I have seen. There's what? There's some comedy he did that I keep, like, seeing, like, clips and gifs of he has blonde hair in it.
Trisha Paytas
Oh.
Jimmy Wetzel
I don't know if it's a comedy, but the clips I've seen make it seem like it is.
Trisha Paytas
Yeah, there's one I see too, of like some British show he was on. And there's like a girl. I don't know if he's like chewing gum or she's chewing gum. There's. I keep seeing those clips and I'm like, what is this show? It looks so funny.
Jimmy Wetzel
I want to see the new Jurassic World. I mean, that's from months ago at this point.
Trisha Paytas
Yeah, I haven't seen it either.
Jimmy Wetzel
Still new. Ish. But I wanted to see it for him because he had his little glasses.
Trisha Paytas
In the mud or wherever the glasses is. Fellow travelers. He had glasses too. Did you watch that show?
Jimmy Wetzel
No, but I have seen the scene of him sucking the foot.
Trisha Paytas
There's a lot of sex scenes.
Jimmy Wetzel
I'm not even into that kind of stuff, but I was like, that's hot.
Trisha Paytas
Oh, my God, he's so. You know what? I really think I had a say in this because last year I was outraged that he didn't get it. But this makes sense this year because now he has Wicked and Jurassic Amber. So I was like, okay, this makes sense. But I think, I think they heard us. I think they were like, okay, we need to give it to him this year. He's handsome. And then on Wicked, like they've been doing the red carpet. Ariana Grande can't get down to Brazil. The fans were pissed. Did you see all that?
Jimmy Wetzel
Yeah, I didn't. I saw her statement.
Trisha Paytas
Yes.
Jimmy Wetzel
So apologetic for like missing a flight.
Trisha Paytas
The flight situation in general over here, even like with travel to New York and stuff like that is like, like crazy right now.
Jimmy Wetzel
Yeah, I'm nervous about my flight home if I'm gonna get delayed or anything. Thankfully, I have like a whole buffer day for like the podcast or whatever. Yeah, the Patreon episode is late this weekend. That's why. Sorry.
Trisha Paytas
It's. Yeah, it's great. Did you have any trouble getting coming out?
Jimmy Wetzel
No, not at all. No delay or anything. It was great.
Trisha Paytas
I guess it just came into effect after you got here. I don't know.
Moses Hackman
Yeah, it's happening.
Jimmy Wetzel
Yeah.
Trisha Paytas
She couldn't make it to the Brazil, but Cynthia Riva was there. Jonathan Bailey was there. Everyone's like, he's so good looking. And everyone's like, well, he is the sexiest man alive. He's about to do a play. It's not announced. I don't have any insider information. I' just heard this that him and Ariana Grande are going to do a play on the West End. Have you seen Sunday in the park with George? It's like based On a painter. And I think that's the name of the painting. Do you know the painting? It's like a. It's like people in the park.
Jimmy Wetzel
Oh, you know, like a famous painting. Yes, I know that.
Trisha Paytas
Umbrellas. Yeah. So I think it's like the story about that painter and, like, his lover. And I suppose it's Jonathan Bailey and Ariana Grande's next move is they're gonna be doing live theater together, which I'm a huge fan.
Jimmy Wetzel
I was like, oh, God, can they win a Tony for a West End production or does it have to be American?
Trisha Paytas
I think American. But they do have, like. Like some Brit Awards for that. But, yeah, I think they'll probably bring it here. Most, Most of them start in the West End and come here. Like, Evita will probably come here.
Jimmy Wetzel
Would then they be eligible for Tony? Because I think that's. Of course, you have to originate a role, right?
Trisha Paytas
Yeah. And even though it's like a revival, like, you can win for a revival. Like, I think Cole Schinger one for his Sunset Boulevard.
Moses Hackman
Very cool.
Trisha Paytas
So I think that's probably why they want to do it, which makes sense.
Jimmy Wetzel
But I gotta see more Broadway shows. I literally love Broadway. I, I, I did my school play in seventh grade. I We did Once Upon a Mattress.
Trisha Paytas
Oh, it.
Jimmy Wetzel
Which is the Princess and the Pea story. I was the wizard. I had the opening monologue, and then I was like a background knight or whatever.
Trisha Paytas
Oh, my gosh.
Jimmy Wetzel
I didn't have many lines in the play because I was in seventh grade. They usually give the big parts to the eighth graders, like, their last year at the school.
Trisha Paytas
Right.
Jimmy Wetzel
So I was just like, all right, I'm gonna do it. I'm so excited. And I remember I was gonna go with a friend of mine, and then he didn't show up at auditions. And I was like, where were you? And they were like, my sister said it was gay to do it.
Trisha Paytas
I was like, oh, oh, oh, no.
Jimmy Wetzel
I was like, well, got apart. So.
Trisha Paytas
That was crazy. What year is that?
Jimmy Wetzel
Early 2000s, 2009 or 10.
Trisha Paytas
Oh, God. I think they were more woke by then.
Jimmy Wetzel
The Hilary Duff commercials were on the tv. I don't know why everyone was saying, that's okay, but you didn't know.
Trisha Paytas
Yeah, they didn't get the message.
Jimmy Wetzel
I got the part and it was great. Shout out, Ms. Brooke. She sadly passed away a couple years ago, but thank you so much for that, because it made me realize that, like, I wanted to do that. Then eighth grade, they didn't have, because it was like, it was still, like, after the economic recession and stuff, so they laid off a bunch of teachers and stuff. And so we didn't have a play in eighth grade or musical or anything like that, so I didn't get to do it. And then in high school, I was just like, well, it's gay to do the play, and I go to all boys Catholic school. Like, I don't. I didn't want to do it.
Trisha Paytas
So who was doing it then?
Jimmy Wetzel
The. The braver gays and some straight guys. And they would have. We had, like, a sister school that would, like, come to our school in the afternoons from a bus and, like, they would be in the.
Trisha Paytas
The girls.
Jimmy Wetzel
The girl parts. Yeah.
Trisha Paytas
Oh, I thought because, like, back in the day, Shakespeare would have only men played all the parts. Like, Roman Juliet was played by all men.
Jimmy Wetzel
Yeah. I don't know if in. In this day and age Catholic school wants boys wearing wigs. I don't know.
Trisha Paytas
That's so crazy. Well, Shakespeare did so crazy. It's just stupid if you want to be authentic to the times, as everyone always says.
Jimmy Wetzel
But I wish I. I have a deep part of me that, like, wishes I did it because, like, I would have. I probably would have come out to one of those girls and be like, hey, diva. It, like, right?
Trisha Paytas
And they would have loved you.
Jimmy Wetzel
It would have been like, my little safe space, but I was just, like, too nervous. And plus, I was also, like, I'm, like, doing my YouTube videos and everything, Anything, so I want to get home every day. But.
Trisha Paytas
Yeah, you had, like, something else going on.
Jimmy Wetzel
Yeah, I had, like, a, like, almost like a, like, internalized instead of, like, internalized homophobia. Internalized, like, theater kid phobia. I was like, yeah, I was kind of, like. It was definitely, like, jealous that I didn't get to have that path.
Trisha Paytas
Yeah. But it would have been great for you. Yeah, I was definitely friends with all the, like, closeted, like, gay guys in our school. We had two that were in place, and they were amazing. And. Yeah, it was the same sort of thing. They were like, I'm not gay. Like, I'm in theater to kiss girls and whatever and stuff like that. And it was, like. And it was, like, sad that you had to be like that, you know, I love now that, like, Jonathan Bay, like, you know, you can just be, like, out, open and cool, you know, because it is cool, everyone. Yeah, I love too, like, my. Oh, Mary. Speaking of Mary, I, like, really want to do that. Like, if I could manifest anything for.
Jimmy Wetzel
The next one, I see it I, I, that's crazy.
Trisha Paytas
That's like a huge lead part that just won a Tony.
Jimmy Wetzel
But I, I think you, I think you can, like, because they're just, they're, they're, they're putting so many people in that role. I love this format of, like, let's just bring in a name. Like, let's do it. And, like, why not Trisha Paytas?
Moses Hackman
Why not?
Trisha Paytas
My dad would be really excited because my dad loves Lincoln. Like, he loves Lincoln. Like, yeah, like you.
Moses Hackman
We're talking about it in the car.
Trisha Paytas
I'm not kidding.
Moses Hackman
He's more delusional to us.
Trisha Paytas
Yeah, yeah.
Moses Hackman
Like, Moses is going to be Lincoln. He's going to be.
Trisha Paytas
Oh, yeah. He wanted. No, but at Disneyland. I don't know if they still have it. I don't think they do, but do.
Jimmy Wetzel
You remember the Hall? The President?
Moses Hackman
Yes.
Trisha Paytas
My dad's favorite ride. And he doesn't say it, like, ironically, but I think they, like, replace it every time we go with a tour guide. He's like, I want to go to the hall presence. I want to see Lincoln give a speech. Like, he loves it. Even when I told him about the married. Like, when I told him about, oh, Mary, as it gets about Lincoln's wife, he's like, Mary Todd Lincoln. I just watched a documentary about her.
Jimmy Wetzel
The lore.
Trisha Paytas
Yeah, he knows. Like, he was giving us so much background of it, and I was like, so he would, like, love to see. Because he came to see Beetlejuice opening night and he's like, I don't know what's happening, but he's like, lincoln, I'll know what's happening. Absolutely. So anyways, go see o' Mary on Broadway. I'm excited to see Bob the drag queen in Moulin Rouge. He's coming to Broadway.
Jimmy Wetzel
Oh, my God. Are you serious?
Trisha Paytas
Yeah. It's gonna be so fun.
Jimmy Wetzel
I love Bob. I. I'm a big fan.
Trisha Paytas
Oh, my gosh.
Jimmy Wetzel
I, I have an old picture with Bob and Monet from, like, 2018 or something. I went to one of their shows at the, at the Bell House in Brooklyn.
Trisha Paytas
Wow. It was awesome.
Jimmy Wetzel
They're fantastic.
Moses Hackman
Fantastic.
Jimmy Wetzel
So Rivalry Shout Out.
Trisha Paytas
Is that the name of the podcast? Yeah, I love. Well, Oscar got me on to, like, is it their Patreon? Is the Patreon called that?
Jimmy Wetzel
Yeah, their Patreon is lit. Yeah, it is a great Patreon.
Trisha Paytas
I feel like that's, like, the number 1 1, because I was like, that's what inspired us to do a Patreon.
Jimmy Wetzel
I do a lot on there.
Trisha Paytas
I Love that. I love when they get like, you.
Jimmy Wetzel
Guys do a lot too. Of all the patreons that I am subscribed to, like, just Trish is on it.
Trisha Paytas
Yes, we are twice a week and trying to give the quality there is. I asked about Hot Topics on my Instagram yesterday because we were filming a little early, and I was like, what's the hot topic? The number one hot topic everyone always talk about is the Starbucks bear. Do you know about this?
Jimmy Wetzel
No.
Trisha Paytas
Moses didn't either. I was like, what do you mean?
Moses Hackman
Well, it makes sense because there's so few.
Trisha Paytas
There's so few. Yesterday, November 6th, was I filming this? Yesterday, November 6th, the Starbucks bear was released. It is a Starbucks cup that is shaped like a little, like, honey pot bear. And you can, like, fill it up with coffee. And, like, people were in line at 3am at the Starbucks, at the targets. They sold out so fast. They're being resold for like 500. Like, these cute little bears. I had Moses go, look, we on the way to Brooklyn. We're shopping at everything. Single Starbucks, Every single target. I was like, go find that.
Jimmy Wetzel
This is the city to track it down. There's one on every corner. Yes, I see now. It does look like the honey.
Trisha Paytas
It's so cute. Have.
Moses Hackman
Yeah, it looks like the honey. I mean, people were doing it. Yeah, they take the honey one, empty it.
Trisha Paytas
It's so funny because I was like, I thought we're like, you know, boycotting Starbucks. I was like, well, this bear is back, so where the boycott is over. We need to get this bear.
Jimmy Wetzel
I will say that's probably on teemu for 57 cents.
Trisha Paytas
That's what someone said. So that was the gag. It's selling for like 40 bucks. And someone's like, you can literally get these. I know.
Jimmy Wetzel
It is. I was expecting you to say like, 12 at the most.
Trisha Paytas
Yeah, I think it's like 40. So someone said that. I read, but it's like, completely sold out. And the gag of it all is. Is like supposedly, allegedly, like, people will be waiting at like 3 in the morning when, like, they open at 4 or 5 or whatever, like some of these Starbucks. And there'd only be like three bears for available. So that means, like, the people, again, allegedly, like, that were working there. We're just like, buying them ahead of time so they could like, resell for the 500 of it on. People are.
Moses Hackman
Because people are mad and they're like, okay, I'm first in line. I'm here to get the bear. And they're like, I Already sold it. Like what do you mean? I'm the first person in the store. This is first account from people. But also they called to ask how many. You know, there was an hour away drive to another Starbucks. Like how many bears do you have? It's like we have seven. So it's not like they gave the stores 50.
Jimmy Wetzel
Yeah. Because they probably didn't think it was.
Moses Hackman
They gave them like crazy. No, I think they're creating.
Jimmy Wetzel
Oh, they're creating.
Trisha Paytas
Oh, you think they do it on purpose?
Moses Hackman
Of course.
Jimmy Wetzel
Yeah. You know what, like the popcorn bucket. It's giving Labubu. Yeah, it's giving the first two months of Labubu. Now you can open that Tick Tock live. And they're in stock. The whole eight hour stream.
Trisha Paytas
That's right. Are the Boo Boos over?
Jimmy Wetzel
Not for me. I definitely. I've slowed down because I kind of have all the ones I want. But you know, once they. I will say I did not love the tiny ones that were just as expensive as the big size ones and uglier.
Trisha Paytas
But it's always the case. Like the even like little purses are more expensive than big purses. Like if you get the. It's just like they're cuter. I guess. I don't know. Or it's a scam of it all where it's just like we're going to use less us to make this, but we're gonna charge you more.
Jimmy Wetzel
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Trisha Paytas
That's true. I guess the convenience but a little Woo woo. I don't know. I don't get why Mini would be more. So you're still on it. You're still there. I think Oscar's still with you.
Jimmy Wetzel
Yeah. I almost brought a little Boo Boo today. I. I brought a Pokemon. It's over there instead.
Trisha Paytas
Is it on your bag?
Jimmy Wetzel
Yeah, it's on my purse. It's a little Chikorita.
Trisha Paytas
Wait, the green one?
Jimmy Wetzel
Yeah.
Trisha Paytas
Oh, that.
Jimmy Wetzel
That looks like a. Yeah, it's it. The plush keychain craze is crazy. Like I actually haven't seen any Labubus while walking around Manhattan.
Moses Hackman
Yeah, weird fake ones, you know, like statue of Libre they have kind of weird.
Trisha Paytas
Yeah, I do like those things.
Jimmy Wetzel
Yeah, I've seen but like the plushie like keychains. Yeah, huge. Like it's really like a huge trend. Pokemon was on it before Labubus though. I feel like they've always had like a little.
Moses Hackman
Everyone copied Pokemon as far as like the idea of like the packages, the mystery cards.
Jimmy Wetzel
Yeah, absolutely.
Moses Hackman
You know, like the rating of it all. Like, everyone copied that over the years.
Trisha Paytas
Yeah. Thank you so much to Morgan Morgan for sponsoring today's episode of Just Trish. Okay, besties. It's winter, which means the sun is clocking out early and people are acting weird in these dark streets. Like we're all just trying to get a holiday frappuccino. And boom. Moses Hackman
They did.
Trisha Paytas
Oh. Where?
Jimmy Wetzel
It's like, it's considered like lost media at this point. I think some people have found some footage. I think I. I don't know the whole lore on it, but it was like a very, very limited, Maybe even like one night only run in like the late 90s, maybe like 2000.
Trisha Paytas
Where was it?
Jimmy Wetzel
I want to say Broadway. I don't know though. I'll have to. I'll do some fact checking.
Trisha Paytas
In the late 90s, early 2000s, yeah.
Jimmy Wetzel
It was like, so Pokemon came out in Japan in 96 and then in America in 98. And it was like crazy until like 2001 kind of died down. It was still selling like millions, but instead of like tens of millions, it was like 8, 9 million copies and stuff for like a couple years. Early 2000s, and then started to pick back up late 2000s. And then basically since Pokemon Go in 2016, it's been like the highest. It's literally the highest grossing media franchise IP of anything. Because, like, it has cards, it has toys, it has TV shows, it has the games. And the games create the new characters, which then lead to new cards, new plushies, new figures, new action figures and everything. It's. It's a crazy, crazy machine.
Trisha Paytas
Like, there. God, there's so many things that I, like, don't necessarily get, but I get why people like them. But Pokemon is like, one of those things where I'm like. Like, I just don't follow. Like, because it's like they don't talk. Right.
Jimmy Wetzel
They. Some of them. Some of them in the movies speak with telepathy, so they don't. For the plot, but yeah, they pretty much just say their name or, like, make, like, animalistic noises. Yeah.
Trisha Paytas
So it's like, how are you, like, bonding with them? Like, how are you forming that bond?
Jimmy Wetzel
Because you gotta. You gotta train with them and you. You battle with them and you. If you go on an adventure together.
Trisha Paytas
Like a pet.
Jimmy Wetzel
Yeah. They're, like, slightly more sentient than, like, a dog.
Trisha Paytas
Okay, okay. Like an elephant, but virtual.
Jimmy Wetzel
Yeah, yeah. And it.
Moses Hackman
But also it's. You know, when we create archetypes, like, every person has things to identify with. Just like you have a horoscope and Chinese zodiac and all those things. Yeah, it's like that. But even more. There's more options.
Jimmy Wetzel
Yeah. There's like.
Moses Hackman
So you. You find and you connect with something that speaks to you that you see yourself in or something. They are very archetypal. And I mean, I think that's why they're so great, is the design.
Jimmy Wetzel
Yes.
Moses Hackman
Of those characters and the ideas. Sometimes I look at them and I'm just like, the brain that made this thing.
Jimmy Wetzel
Yeah. It's like, really cool.
Moses Hackman
Is like. And. And it's consistent.
Jimmy Wetzel
Yeah.
Moses Hackman
Like, they don't fail, you know, it's consistent. And they.
Trisha Paytas
What's your Pokemon then?
Moses Hackman
All the water ones. There's so many.
Trisha Paytas
Like, give me one. I know you love Pokemon.
Jimmy Wetzel
Yeah.
Trisha Paytas
What is it?
Moses Hackman
He's kind of like a cat. Almost like a water cat.
Jimmy Wetzel
Yeah. His body can become water. Oh, yeah.
Moses Hackman
And also they fight with water. Like, this is different things.
Trisha Paytas
But what's yours?
Jimmy Wetzel
I'm like going through the Rolodex in my head of all my favorites. I'm like, okay, which one do I say? Today I. I have a tattoo for Pokemon named Sweet Coon, which also. Water. It can run on water. It's kind of like, purifies.
Trisha Paytas
Wow.
Jimmy Wetzel
Polluted water in one of the movies. And. Yeah. I Love Suicune. There's one called Impidimp. He's got a. Yeah, he's a little pink creature and everyone thinks he's so ugly and annoying. And I love him for the name alone. Yeah, it's giving a completely non functional wing on the back of his head for no reason. Just one. I love him.
Trisha Paytas
It's a vibe.
Jimmy Wetzel
Yeah.
Trisha Paytas
Who could. Okay, so if we did a Pokemon like group costume for Halloween or for Christmas or whenever we do it, who would I be for pink? Is there any pink one?
Jimmy Wetzel
Well, you always. You always compare yourself to Jinx, which would be fierce. I think Smoochum, it's baby form, would be even cuter because it's blonde. And although Jinx is blonde too. But Smoochum wears pink. Jinx wears red. Okay, okay, so shiny Jinx wears pink.
Trisha Paytas
Shiny Jinx.
Jimmy Wetzel
But that's like a whole different lore.
Trisha Paytas
Wait, what do you mean? Let me see. She's so cute. That's Jinx's baby.
Jimmy Wetzel
Yeah, that girl. She evolves into Jinx.
Trisha Paytas
Oh, she does. Okay. Oh my God.
Jimmy Wetzel
So cute.
Trisha Paytas
Cute.
Moses Hackman
Okay. Pink and blonde.
Jimmy Wetzel
Yeah.
Trisha Paytas
Okay.
Jimmy Wetzel
Literally, we could have the cast, the crew, the audience.
Trisha Paytas
Yes.
Jimmy Wetzel
There's a thousand and six Pokemon, I think now.
Trisha Paytas
A thousand is crazy.
Jimmy Wetzel
Yeah, they just broke a thousand a few years ago with generation nine. And we're probably getting the 10th. Next year's the 30th anniversary, so we're probably getting the 10th generation.
Trisha Paytas
And antenna sponsors you or.
Jimmy Wetzel
No, no, they don't sponsor me. I. I used to work with them.
Trisha Paytas
Oh, that's right.
Jimmy Wetzel
For. It was like they would send me games that was really it, like to. Hey, like free reviews.
Trisha Paytas
You are promoting them hardcore all the time. I feel like you work for them.
Jimmy Wetzel
I do love. I do love their products. And yeah, I mean, they are notorious for not.
Moses Hackman
I mean, they're kind of the opposite. They'll shut you down if you use any kind.
Jimmy Wetzel
Yeah, they're kind of protective of their ip.
Moses Hackman
It's hard to actually promote them. Like people that have channels that do content with them, they'll shut them down if they use one thing that they're.
Trisha Paytas
There was that girl on Tech Talk. Remember she had the Pokemon tattoos. Her name was like Pokey Princess.
Moses Hackman
Yeah.
Trisha Paytas
Which is crazy because it's not even Pokey. Or maybe it was something else before. Maybe she had changed it to Pokey Princess. Maybe it was like Pokemon or something. I don't know. But she had gotten like Nintendo told her to like not use that name anymore. So she had to like Change.
Jimmy Wetzel
You're gonna say, get the tattoo removed. I'm like, damn glad. I'm worried.
Trisha Paytas
That would be so crazy, right? If you have, like, any kids, you think you name them after Pokemons?
Jimmy Wetzel
Absolutely not.
Trisha Paytas
Wait, really? You love Pokemon so much?
Jimmy Wetzel
Well, I. First of all, I don't know if I want kids.
Trisha Paytas
Right. Okay.
Jimmy Wetzel
I, I, I love the idea of being uncle.
Trisha Paytas
Right.
Jimmy Wetzel
Like, we kind of are like, I have cousins that are, like, six.
Trisha Paytas
Oh, yeah, you were everything.
Jimmy Wetzel
Because my. I have cousins that are a lot older than me, so like, kind of uncle role. But they are technically cousins.
Trisha Paytas
Yeah.
Jimmy Wetzel
Dallas has a niece and nephew, and.
Trisha Paytas
Oh, yeah, you guys like him.
Jimmy Wetzel
I love them. So I do love that my sister will probably have kids at some point, and I'm happy to be that for them. Not opposed to it. I'm like, I'll revisit it. I actually, I really. My parents had my. My sister and I when they were in their mid-30s.
Trisha Paytas
Yeah.
Jimmy Wetzel
Very similar to you guys, like, in your 30s and stuff. So I'm like, I'll revisit the idea someday. But, yeah, definitely not right now.
Trisha Paytas
30S, 40s. I think it's like, every age, you know, like, that, like, Andy Cohen has, like, young kids. Like, I think, like, everyone has them. I think it's like, I love have. I would love to have in my 20s, and I think it's great if you do. But I think it's, like, also something to be said about doing it later in life, because it's just like, okay, you've done so much, and you're kind of like, but you have cats.
Jimmy Wetzel
I have dogs. I have two dogs.
Trisha Paytas
What are their names?
Jimmy Wetzel
Ruby and Soda.
Trisha Paytas
They have nothing to do with Pokemon.
Jimmy Wetzel
No. Well, actually, Ruby is the name of one of the Pokemon games because they do, like, the blue version.
Trisha Paytas
Oh, okay.
Jimmy Wetzel
Ruby version. Stuff like that.
Trisha Paytas
Is that why you named her that or.
Jimmy Wetzel
No, No, I just. I literally just like, I saw a picture of her. Someone in my Twitch chat, shout out Lauren. He worked at animal shelter in Chicago, and he was just like, hey, we just have these literal puppies that were just born. You want to see pictures? So he sent me a picture of them. I think they were maybe like, a week or two old at that point, and there were six of them. And I saw a little baby Ruby yawning. I was like, I need her. Like, we need to adopt her. And Dallas and I hadn't even moved in together yet. Like, I was still living in New York. He was in Florida. I hadn't moved down there yet. And so I was just like, how can we get this dog? Like, let's, we gotta do this. So I sent in a million applications. I tried to explain to his boss like I'm, this is not a scam. Like I will fly to get this dog because I was out of state. It was so random. But yeah, I flew to Chicago in the morning, flew home like three hours later with a little nine week dog, the earliest we could get her. And she's so little now. She's like 50 pounds of muscle. She is, oh, strong girl.
Trisha Paytas
Protein cake.
Jimmy Wetzel
She's on a, she's on prescription food diet because she's got tummy, tummy problems. And we love her. She's doing great now though.
Trisha Paytas
Good. Okay.
Jimmy Wetzel
But yeah, I love her so much. And then Lil Soda, we adopted Ruby, was three, we got him last year and we were just like, she needs a friend. Like we, like, you know, she, she's really settled in now. Like she's three. She, she, we want her to have someone. Especially when like we're working. Like, she, she, our dogs love to lounge. But we were also like, you know, we want her to have a little bit of fun. So it's not just like, yeah, she's just sleeping while we're hanging out. Although now they still just sleep because they love it. But we were like, let's go on Pet Finder. And like that night at like 3 o' clock in the morning, I saw this little dog, 12 weeks old. His name was Ike. And I was like, that is the most human name for a dog, I guess.
Trisha Paytas
Crazy. It is a crazy. I think of Ike Turner. I'm like, oh no.
Jimmy Wetzel
I just was like, this is like somebody's dad's name.
Trisha Paytas
Yeah.
Jimmy Wetzel
So I, I could not stop laughing. He looked ridiculous in the photo. His ears were sticking out. And I called the shelter, I was laughing through the voicemail and I emailed them the next morning. I was like, hey, we weren't high or anything. Like, we're serious about this. And it was in la. So we like, we just drove, we saw him and yeah, we, we got him. Two days later we picked him up and he's the best. And we changed his name to Soda. Ike is a very funny name, but we've been wanting to name a dog Soda for quite a while just because.
Trisha Paytas
Like you love Soda.
Jimmy Wetzel
No, so there's this, there's this meme of Donald Trump saying Obama instead of Obama. And then it cuts to Joe Biden yelling Soda Obama.
Trisha Paytas
In the same clip.
Jimmy Wetzel
I will it. No, it's Like, I don't know. Yeah, it's such, like, brain rotation. Not. But it's the funniest thing ever.
Trisha Paytas
We're gonna have a dog name that one day.
Jimmy Wetzel
So for, like, two years, we were like, our next dog's being named Soda. We are gonna.
Trisha Paytas
He manifested your dog.
Jimmy Wetzel
He's just so little and cuddly. He, like, sits on my lap while I edit. He's a Chihuahua mix. And. Oh, yeah. So he's just little guy.
Trisha Paytas
Put him in a Taco Bell commercial.
Jimmy Wetzel
We. Anytime we go to Taco Bell at little. In the middle of the night, he sits on my lap.
Trisha Paytas
I love your middle of the night. Fast. Fast food.
Jimmy Wetzel
Yeah.
Trisha Paytas
Because, like, you were going to Arby's at, like, midnight. You're like, I'm gonna go get the Jamaica shake. I was like, okay.
Jimmy Wetzel
The minute she did that commercial with the jamocha shake, we were. I was like, okay. So tonight after my stream or work. What? I don't know what it was. I was like, we're going. I texted my friend David, who lives upstairs. I was like, do you want to come to Arby's with us? He was just like, yeah, I want the new shake. So the three of us got in the car, we drove to the Arby's. You filmed the commercial at.
Trisha Paytas
Yeah.
Jimmy Wetzel
Receipt Arby's took my little picture front of the sign. And I love that. That you told me Moses. Like, it's so artsy.
Trisha Paytas
Yeah. Yeah.
Jimmy Wetzel
It killed me.
Trisha Paytas
It was. And it made me want to go back at night because I was like, oh, it lights up at night. So I was like, oh, I want to do that, too. And it's one of the last places to have the big Arby sign. So it's great. They sent me a bouquet opening night Arby's with mozzarella sticks and curly fries at the Broadway. I'm like, how did they get here? It's so. Because there's not an Arby's in Times Square. I don't think. I don't know.
Jimmy Wetzel
Yeah. I never had Arby's, honestly, in New York. Yeah, I had it. All the times I've had, it has been California on, like, a road trip. We pass it.
Trisha Paytas
Yeah. They have a lot in California. I'm a big. I'm doing another Arby's commercial. Shout out. Arby's doing another one in end of the month.
Jimmy Wetzel
But, yeah, to answer your question, literally, as soon as I saw Ruby's picture, I was just like, oh, her name's gonna be Ruby.
Trisha Paytas
Yeah.
Jimmy Wetzel
Like, had A Pokemon connection. There's a show called Steven Universe that I love. I think you would like it, too. Very musical. It's really cute and very queer.
Trisha Paytas
What's it on?
Jimmy Wetzel
It was a Cartoon Network show. I think it's on Hulu.
Trisha Paytas
Okay. It's, like, past already.
Jimmy Wetzel
Yeah. They're having a new, like, spin off revival season coming out, which is really cool. But, yeah, Steven Universe is awesome. I love it. It's. Each episode's like, 11 minutes. It's a cartoon, so I'm, like, selling it to you.
Trisha Paytas
Yeah, no, you do.
Jimmy Wetzel
I think you'd get really into it. Do some cosplays. I love Cartoon Network. Or I. Anyway. But, yeah, there's a. There's a character on the show that's a ruby, and I just love.
Trisha Paytas
Okay.
Jimmy Wetzel
There was a lot of other connections that, like, came after I thought the name, but yeah.
Trisha Paytas
Anyway, I love good cosplay. I love a good cartoon, and I love a good revival. The Muppets are getting. Miss Piggy is getting.
Jimmy Wetzel
That's one of my hot topics.
Trisha Paytas
I was. So when we talked about Omari earlier, co Escola, who, like, created Omari and originated the role and won the Tony for it. It. They are, like, writing this movie. And Emma Stone and was it Jennifer Lawrence? I need everyone involved in this. I need them all to be on screen as well. And I also would like to be in this. But I also think, like, Sabrina Carpenter being like, yesterday, I was doing a bunch of press for Beetlejuice, and they were at, like, I kept bringing up the Miss Piggy movie any chance I could get, because I was like, this is the most iconic thing ever. It, like, I haven't been excited about anything in so long. Like, when they talk about Pirates of the Caribbean with Austin Butler, I'm like, okay, great. Like, you know, even the new Bridgerton, but a Miss Piggy movie. Do you love the Muppets?
Jimmy Wetzel
I do.
Trisha Paytas
I love the Muppets. Right now in New York, actually, there's a magic show called Rob Lake Magic, and they actually invited me. I think we'll be able to go because I think they have a Thursday matinee when I'm not in Beetlejuice. And, like, kids can go to. And Rob, like, brings the Muppets on stage. Like, so, like, the Muppets are technically on Broadway right now. I could have been more happy. And they were like, do you want to go, like, on stage? Like, during the show? They bring someone up on stage and you can be with, like, Kermit, Miss Piggy and I was like, say no more. Because to me, Miss Piggy, gay icon, gay icon, just knows who she is for so long. I remember like as a kid, people would call me Miss Piggy to be like, mean. And like, even on the Internet in the early days, people are like, oh my God, Miss Piggy because the blonde. But she so iconic in like every single way. Her fashion, her word. Like, she is just. She's everything I would want to be in more.
Jimmy Wetzel
And they always portray her as like a sex symbol and like an icon. She's hot.
Trisha Paytas
You're so right.
Jimmy Wetzel
It's so.
Trisha Paytas
Oh, my God. When you were dressed as like the pig from Minecraft, I was giving like pig redemption arc. You know what I mean? Like, I just feel like pigs, they're very smart, by the way. I feel like pigs get a bad rap because when people.
Jimmy Wetzel
I think they're smarter than dogs really or they're on the same level.
Trisha Paytas
Yeah, right. Like, they're just really intelligent and. Yeah. When I think they get like a bat. Like when they call someone that's big like a pig. Like, we know people who'll be like, we'll eat one meal. But I feel like a pig and I'm like, why do they get such like an. Why is it an insult a pig? Because they're just so beautiful. When I saw you dress as the pig, I was like, beautiful. When I see Miss Piggy, I'm like, beautiful. Like, I just really. I really have a new thing for pigs. But specifically Miss Piggy and I'm like, so said she's getting her own movie because I feel like the Muppets have had a ton of movie and we love the Muppets, but it's time to shine because you know Kermit. Her and Kermit are cute, but I don't think he gives the same love that Miss Piggy gives to him. Do you know what I mean?
Jimmy Wetzel
Yes. It is a very one sided.
Moses Hackman
Yes.
Trisha Paytas
Me. Yeah.
Moses Hackman
But I always remember her when she gets upset. Yes.
Jimmy Wetzel
That's the best. Literally going to. I literally. I need you and Miss Piggy to get into a fight. Like, literally. My favorite Tick Tock compilations are Miss Piggy fighting with people. There's. With Joan Rivers. Literally, like, I haven't seen it her. With Joan Rivers are always. Is so good. Because Miss Piggy outreads her. She. Oh, it's. Which is rare for Joan Rivers. It's so. It's so good. Why is she.
Trisha Paytas
How is she so good? Like it. To me, it's just like the writing I don't know. She's, like, timeless in every way. And I was just like, this makes sense that she would, like, have her own movie. They haven't really said any of the other details, but I just think, like, everyone involved, like, the fact that Jennifer Lawrence, Emma Stone are, like, producing it and Call School is, like, writing it is like, like, like, oh, Mary is so wild. And it's so, like, I can't even. Miss Piggy should be Mary. Oh, that would be so good.
Jimmy Wetzel
My God. Oh, my God. That would literally. Gay people would never be more back in.
Trisha Paytas
That would save Broadway. Broadway would be sold out. It's gonna be. That's gonna be Hamilton. That's gonna be beautiful. That'd be like, that. Yeah.
Jimmy Wetzel
Whole.
Trisha Paytas
Oh, my God.
Jimmy Wetzel
I never even.
Trisha Paytas
Oh, my God. Because she's, like, a singer, too. Yes. Miss Piggy's a singer.
Jimmy Wetzel
I. I feel like if I was born maybe two decades earlier, I would have been a Muppeteer, hands down. I love, really. I haven't seen, like, every Muppet Project, but I just. I love, like, the brand and, like, the history of the company and everything.
Trisha Paytas
Yeah. The whole story about Jim Henson, like, and how he started. I think it started like an SNL or something. Like, that was like the first Muppet.
Jimmy Wetzel
Sketch, something like that. He did a lot of public access, like, stuff I think, like, in his hometown or something when he first started.
Moses Hackman
And.
Jimmy Wetzel
And you, like, there's. There's a channel on YouTube called Defunct Land. I'm sure many people in the comments are like, oh, my God, I love Defunct Land. Because everybody loves Defunct Land. And they usually do, like, theme park videos. But, like, they did, like, felt like a year of, like, just, like, Muppet history content.
Trisha Paytas
Oh, really?
Jimmy Wetzel
It was. They're all, like, amazing, like, mini 40 minute documentaries about every, like, chapter of the Muppet history. Oh, interesting. You could see, like, the. The evolution of character designs and, like, how they found their boys and how they found the right actor to do them. And so much of it is improv. It's improv, voice acting, puppeteering. It's crazy. It's literally like, some of the most talented people in the entire world.
Trisha Paytas
Yeah. They used to have the Jim Henson Studio on La Brea. There used to be a giant Kermit. Were you here when that was around?
Jimmy Wetzel
I don't know if I ever saw it.
Trisha Paytas
It was right across from my crazy girl because I used to, like, work there. And I remember, like, right across the street was like, the Jim Henson thing. Did you ever see it in. Had, like, A giant garment. And it was just so cool because I guess I was like his original studio. I don't think it's like, there anymore, but it's. Yeah. To, like, get to see where, like, it all, like, started. You know, I'm very like that with, like, Walt Disney too. I'm always like, I like to see his first sketches of. It wasn't even Mickey Mouse. It was something else that was like.
Jimmy Wetzel
Oswald the lucky rabbit.
Trisha Paytas
You are so good too. Oh, my God. How did you know that?
Jimmy Wetzel
They. They made a game about him. They made. I think Disney got the rights back in like, the 2010s and they made a game about, like. Like Mickey meeting Oswald and being. And it's like, oh, my God, who is this? And then sometimes Oswald will walk the parks. It's very rare, though.
Trisha Paytas
Wait, so what happened with it then? Because I. Someone tell me the story.
Jimmy Wetzel
So Walt Disney created Oswald, and then Oswald was owned by some company that Walt was working for. So when he went out on his own, he created Mickey Mouse. And it's kind of the same character with different ears, basically.
Trisha Paytas
Wow.
Jimmy Wetzel
Very similar.
Trisha Paytas
Wow. You are really like Jane from Drop Dead Diva where you just like, come back. You're like, yes, Oswald the bunny. How did you know that? That's like, so smart. We haven't been able to watch that. I'm so sad being away. We haven't been able to watch it because we were watching it on like, Fandango or something. But thank you so much to Babel for sponsoring today's episode of Just Trish. Jimmy Wetzel
While we're still on Muppets, I do have. Miley Cyrus is going to be on Sesame street and they film in New York. You need to be on it.
Trisha Paytas
Sesame Street's in New York.
Jimmy Wetzel
I'm pretty sure. 90% sure.
Trisha Paytas
There is like a Sesame Street. Yeah. Someone else was just telling me. I think my makeup artist this morning was telling me there's like a Sesame street like experience for kids.
Moses Hackman
And it's like if you think about the street they're on and everything, it looks very much break. New York.
Jimmy Wetzel
There's a Sesame. Sesame theme park in Pennsylvania.
Trisha Paytas
Oh, maybe that's what she was place.
Jimmy Wetzel
I went there as a kid.
Trisha Paytas
Did you like it?
Jimmy Wetzel
I did. I don't really remember it. I was pretty young. All I remember is making. Did you ever at like a theme park or anything, like fill like a jar with different colored sand?
Trisha Paytas
Oh, my God. Yes.
Jimmy Wetzel
That's all I remember from Sesame Place. It's like a water park, kind of.
Trisha Paytas
We did that at Cedar Point in Cincinnati, Ohio. And it was like you just got a jar you just like filled up. Color of sand. What was the point of that?
Jimmy Wetzel
I supp.
Moses Hackman
You're supposed to make like characters and things. If you're really good at it.
Jimmy Wetzel
Probably just put all blue.
Trisha Paytas
No, mine were just like layers, like layers of colors. Oh. It's supposed to be character out or.
Moses Hackman
Landscapes and things, but I don't know.
Trisha Paytas
Had a jar of sand.
Jimmy Wetzel
If you're willing to make like a three hour drive on an off day.
Trisha Paytas
Yeah. You're like, it's a little cold.
Jimmy Wetzel
I don't know if it'll be open in November. But cuz I do think I do feel like I remember being a water park. I remember having like the Sesame street thing. Yeah, yeah, I remember. I feel like I remember having like water shoes as a kid and hating them because they were filled with water. It was gross.
Trisha Paytas
Oh, that's so funny. Yeah, there's one in San Diego too. And it's okay. It looks a little. I don't know. Yeah, it looks a little. I don't want to use the word cheap, but it looks a little like rinky dink. Maybe.
Jimmy Wetzel
It's a long drive. San Diego.
Trisha Paytas
Yeah, I think that's what it is. I don't know. Maybe I'll go. We don't mind re eating things. We went to the Bluey experience here.
Jimmy Wetzel
Was that.
Trisha Paytas
Have you been?
Jimmy Wetzel
No, but I. I love Bluey because again, like, first of all, the adult bluey fandom is crazy in a good way. Like, it's very passionate. There's a lot of.
Trisha Paytas
Oh, I didn't know.
Jimmy Wetzel
The furries love Bluey. They draw their own Bluey sonas. They have their own original character that is in the Bluey art style. It's a whole thing.
Trisha Paytas
Oh, I didn't know shout out to that.
Jimmy Wetzel
But yeah, adults love Bluey. I've watched a couple episodes without Dallas's niece around. Yeah, like that was how we found out about Bluey when we would go like on a family trip with his family and his niece, who is like five and. And obviously was younger than that in the past. Yeah, we would watch Bluey and we're like, it was pretty new at the time.
Trisha Paytas
Right.
Jimmy Wetzel
And we were like, whoa, this show's so great. It reminded me so much of like the, the kids cartoons I watched when I was younger that are like lots slower paced and it's not loud and, and overstimulating. It's just very calm and yeah, it's not. Love it.
Trisha Paytas
Everyone hates the cocomelon because cocomelon can be like oversimpling. We do listen to cocomelon in our house, but I think they're doing a cocoa melon movie. I think that's a hot topic. I think they just announced they're doing a cocoa melon movie, which is crazy. I don't know if they're doing animation or live action, but hopefully animation. Well, Aquaman, you took one of him and Coco today. Literally just like, here's my phone.
Jimmy Wetzel
I love how every single baby you have is like, they should be live action Coco. And then they grow hair.
Trisha Paytas
This morning. He looks like, go, go.
Jimmy Wetzel
I literally From a year ago have a picture of Elvis that you sent me for B roll. Being like, she looks like Coco.
Trisha Paytas
Does every baby look like Coco?
Moses Hackman
All our babies start bald. Big eyes, guys.
Trisha Paytas
And put this one in there too. Elvis was actually a spot on Coco. I feel like she was.
Moses Hackman
She also had the curl.
Jimmy Wetzel
I remember, though, when I first started working on the podcast, I think Oscar mentioned something about Bluey or maybe a guest mentioned Bluey. And you went. And I remember being like, did you cut it? You're like, no, I. I left it because I was kind of like, I need the comments to tell her to change her mind.
Trisha Paytas
Okay, well, still not completely changed. I still don't really get it myself. I don't know. I'm not. Not a big, like, cartoon animal fan. Like, maybe that's a hot take. Like, I don't love like a Nemo or something. You know, I don't like a shark tale. I. I don't know. But it was on Tick Tock. The sound like, mom, Dad, I was like, okay, whatever. But the experience is cool. I don't even know if the girls really watch Bluey. Do they know? Oh, they do. But like, in New York, Bluey is like FAO Schwartz is just like, there's a whole Bluey section. There's like a Bluey museum, which they did love the museum. It's behind this, like, hidden door. It's like, really weird. You, like, go in. It looks like a gift shop shop. And we're like, where's the museum? I'm like, oh, it's behind this wall. And it's like this like, candy wall that, like, opens up and it's like, huge inside. And they like, play around or whatever. But Bluey's everywhere here. Like, literally, like, everything is like, all the fashion is Bluey, and so they really love it. Now the sister's name is what? Bingo.
Jimmy Wetzel
Bingo.
Trisha Paytas
Yeah, Bingo. So you can meet Bluey and Bingo after the experience. One photo, which is like, oh, yeah.
Jimmy Wetzel
I was like, kids, like, you don't know if they're gonna to turn around or like their eyes are closed. Like, they don't. They don't know, really. I mean, well, Malibu basically vlogs on your.
Trisha Paytas
Yeah. Yes. Yeah. Yeah.
Jimmy Wetzel
I feel like she'd be good at.
Trisha Paytas
It, but, you know, but it was like a digital thing where I'm like, you can't take like, Sulumu for instance. The slime Museum lets you take 5, 000 of those digital photos. You know, it's like a. It's like a machine Basically that takes it. And this one, they'd only let it. So like, you have to choose. Do you want to be in the photo or just your kids? And I was like. And then we had our grand like grandparents with us. And I was like, so anyways, I was like, we'll just have them go in it.
Jimmy Wetzel
But even that busy.
Trisha Paytas
No, actually. Should we. I guess, I don't know, we could say one. No.
Moses Hackman
So basically the thing is like, this is the end of the experience. It's like, okay, you finally. Because the whole experience. You're looking for blue in bingo. So you're going through the house and the screens and sometimes they pop in different places. And then at the end you get to another room and then from that room you finally find them and they're in the backyard playing.
Jimmy Wetzel
That's cute.
Moses Hackman
So when they open the door, suddenly you see them there. And you know, little kids, one year, half a year old, they just run to go see Bluey.
Trisha Paytas
She's. Yeah, she's a year and a half Elvis.
Moses Hackman
But there was a person there who was like, whoa, wait a minute. And just kind of like stopped Elvis. Which when you stopped her momentum, she kind of fell down.
Trisha Paytas
It was a push out Moses.
Moses Hackman
And then she started crying. So I attended to her and I held all the rage inside of me.
Jimmy Wetzel
Oh my God.
Moses Hackman
Yeah, like, you know, like, what are you doing? Why would you stop a one and a half year old old? Like, what is she going to do? There was like, what is she going to do?
Trisha Paytas
For context too. We went on like a Tuesday at like noon and there's literally like six people in our group. There's. Including our two girls. So there's like maybe four other kids that were all older too. And like they're all running, but Elvis is so tiny and she's just so excited to see Bluey and bingo. And they're pretty big and she's just so excited. And I go, because I'm like trying to put our bags down or whatever because I'm trying to figure out this photo situation. I like look back and yeah, like, Elvis is like crying on the ground. And I'm like, what happened? And thank God you didn't tell me in the moment because like he told me after. He's like, no, like, literally this like knocked her down. And I was like, how did you. I would have. Oh my God. If I would have saw it, I think I would have just like lost my mind because I was like, she was so. It was such a good day. And then that all Happened. And, like, it was. It was intentional. Like, you literally could have been like, she goes as high as. Whatever, whatever.
Moses Hackman
Let me get her.
Trisha Paytas
It took, like, it was like, a second. Yeah.
Moses Hackman
Because the way to design it is, like, you have a line, you have a wall, you have something, but there was nothing. You just opened the floodgates to something. But there were only four kids, and there was no rush even after that to take the picture. So I'm like, why would the person react that way to a one and a half year old? There's not, like, security at the stage door, you know, somebody running with you or something?
Trisha Paytas
No, it was sad because, like, the whole thing. They're running. Like, the whole thing is like, you run. You have all this energy and so, like.
Moses Hackman
Yeah, because the thing is accessible in the house. So basically it's their house. House. Yeah. There's rooms and their beds and slides and toys, and it's story time. They really enjoyed it.
Trisha Paytas
Yeah, it was great. They had, like, a dance party, and, like, everyone was, like, really nice in there. I guess the point of all that was so you get one photo. So then, like, our one photo is literally just like Elvis just, like, standing next to Blue. Just like, after she got knocked down.
Jimmy Wetzel
Trying to pretend nothing happened.
Trisha Paytas
She's just, like, looking into space. Ma was kind of in the middle trying to pose, and I didn't want.
Jimmy Wetzel
To be in the photo.
Trisha Paytas
Little baby. Yeah, it was. It was giving that, and it made my. And then when I found out after what happened, I'm like, well, that made sense. I'm like, what the hell happened? Like, I just, like, look back and.
Moses Hackman
But then I, on purpose give her more time. Like, go hug Bingo. Go hug Blue Ego. And whenever people design character for kids, they don't think about it. That's why Disney works so well, because the characters are the right size for kids. Yeah. And if you think about the body of Blue and Bingo, it's like this cylinder.
Jimmy Wetzel
Yeah. They're very cylindrical.
Trisha Paytas
Yeah.
Moses Hackman
And they're very. So they were very big. So the kids are like, there's nothing to hug.
Jimmy Wetzel
Yeah.
Moses Hackman
You know, they get to the cylinder and it's like, there's just legs and there's this.
Trisha Paytas
They're huge.
Moses Hackman
End of the cylinder.
Trisha Paytas
So they were, like, five times their size. So, like, Elvis is so tiny. And it was so sweet. Even after getting knocked and she's still trying to hug him. She's just like, I just want to hug this. Like, she's, like, crying, just trying to hug these little dogs, I guess, is what they are. But anyways, they should have given us more than one photo because, like, she was just so upset, and I was like, well, she's got knocked over, but. And I know I don't ever be the parents that are in every single photo. Although I did want to be in the photo. I of. Was kind. Kind of sad. I couldn't.
Moses Hackman
Oh, what?
Trisha Paytas
I don't know. It felt, like, awkward. I was like, I don't know. Maybe I should just let the kids have their moment. But I was. We probably should have, because even Malibu was kind of lost. Like, where do I go? What do I do? Usually we're all in a photo together, but.
Moses Hackman
Well, maybe we'll go back.
Trisha Paytas
I don't know. After that, they're gonna be like, you're not allowed back because we just said they knocked the.
Jimmy Wetzel
The piano at FAO Schwartz. No, because I know they moved it. It's in a new location now.
Trisha Paytas
Oh, it's not. Yeah, my dad was asking that, too. He's, like, from Big. Yeah, they just.
Jimmy Wetzel
It used to be by. There's an Apple store on Fifth Avenue that's, like. It's a big glass box, and you go underground. The FAO Schw there.
Trisha Paytas
Yes. That's across from the Plaza. When I say the Plaza, I would always see the Apple store and the big Louis Vuitton with the, like, luggage, the trunk. I want to go there.
Jimmy Wetzel
I've never been in there. It.
Trisha Paytas
I haven't either.
Jimmy Wetzel
Out of my budget. I. My purse is from Goodwill. Is $2.
Trisha Paytas
But that's iconic.
Jimmy Wetzel
I love it.
Trisha Paytas
I know. I want to go there, too. But I was like, no.
Jimmy Wetzel
No.
Moses Hackman
I didn't say no. I said, it's very dangerous.
Trisha Paytas
No, you didn't. I was like, we need to go shopping. You're like, no, I don't think we need to. And I was like, I want to go to Saks.
Moses Hackman
I want to see. We can definitely go. I just don't think we need more Louis Vuitton bags.
Trisha Paytas
No. I don't even drift. No. Again, go to Upper east side.
Jimmy Wetzel
It's where all the rich people live. And go to. Go to some of the thrift stores.
Trisha Paytas
I think we are going to one. Tana knows this one called Treasure. She's coming, like, next week, and she was saying that's, like, her favorite vintage, because she does. She only like thrifts and get vintage. Because she's very. It's very interesting, her, like, whole trajectory now, but she is very, like, doesn't want to buy new things. Doesn't want to waste and stuff. And I'm like, I can get down with that. So I think we're gonna go next week to.
Moses Hackman
There is like, I've seen the new Murakami collab with Louis Vuitton, and there's some incredible things. Like, they're beautiful.
Trisha Paytas
Which one? Which one is it?
Moses Hackman
There's a new.
Trisha Paytas
The cherry or the multicolored one? One.
Jimmy Wetzel
Or something.
Moses Hackman
Something else all together. And they're incredible. They're beautiful. Like, I appreciate it, you know, so.
Trisha Paytas
We need to get some piece of zar.
Moses Hackman
But some of them are like, you know, it's handcrafted and it's crazy, but at that point, it's like sculptures of art.
Trisha Paytas
So you understand.
Moses Hackman
So I do. Like, I would love to go to the store and see and all that. I just know.
Jimmy Wetzel
So you agree?
Trisha Paytas
Yeah. So you agree in art, and it's worth a lot of money. Okay, well, we'll do it. I went to skims briefly because I had to get a robe for backstage. And I went in there. It's like a five story. Skims. The new. The new skims campaign. The holiday. Have you seen it? Are you a skips person?
Jimmy Wetzel
No, I did see, like, posters for it.
Trisha Paytas
The narsmith.
Jimmy Wetzel
Oh, no, I. The. Is the holiday.
Trisha Paytas
The Christmas one.
Jimmy Wetzel
Yeah, I read the ads. I just saw people in pajamas, and they were beautiful.
Trisha Paytas
They're probably Nara. Lucky. It was Nara and Lucky Smith with their three babies. But the babies are obviously not shown or whatever. I was just like, skims is like, my. You know, I should say that when people keep asking me, I mean, next manifestation or my next thing, I should be like, I want to do a skim skimming. Like, I love skims more than anything. So when I saw this and then I screenshot it and I meant to send it to Moses, was also texting my agent at the time, because we were just like, texting back and forth. I was trying to get to a location, and I sent the thing, and I'm like, this could have been us. And then shake next year. And I was like, oh, no, I sent it the wrong person. But I was like, okay, maybe that's. Maybe that's manifesting. Because I was like, why did you send this to me? And I meant to send it to Moses, but then I screenshot that. I was like, oh, this is, like, manifesting. It's good. I do love Nara Smith and I love Lucky Smith. So I'm like, happy they did it. And that makes sense that they would be modeling skims. But. But that is. That is a goal for sure.
Moses Hackman
So there's one location in New York that. Coming to New York. There's only one thing that I really wanted to see, and I get to see it, and you can't, like, plan it. Do you know the carpet Man?
Jimmy Wetzel
Oh, my God, yes, I do.
Moses Hackman
You do?
Jimmy Wetzel
I do.
Moses Hackman
Have you ever.
Jimmy Wetzel
No, I've never come across it. Not that I'm aware of, but probably.
Trisha Paytas
Like, what is it?
Moses Hackman
So there's. So in New York, there's two. Two carpets. Carpet. Carpet mans. There's the good one and the bad one.
Jimmy Wetzel
Inside you there are two carpet mans.
Moses Hackman
So basically, we were walking back because you had to go to your. Do your show. We were walking back from the blue exhibit on the street, and then we came across the bad carpet man.
Jimmy Wetzel
Oh, no. You. You encountered him?
Moses Hackman
Well, he was in the carpet. We walked on.
Jimmy Wetzel
Okay.
Moses Hackman
Yeah. So basically what this guy would do is he's. He's been doing this for. There's pictures of him from 2011 doing this. So. And he's. He's like a trust fund man. He's an older man.
Jimmy Wetzel
Oh, my gosh.
Moses Hackman
And he has money and he's not homeless even. And that's all he does. He will wrap himself in a carpet on the street, and he will do it in, like, a bottleneck place where you have no choice but walk on him.
Jimmy Wetzel
Yeah.
Moses Hackman
And that's what his. Well, at first, I'm like. So I'm going. And I'm like, wait a minute. This is, like, so awkward because it's like construction and there's so many things happening, and suddenly, before you know it, it's like, what is this thing? You gotta go over it. And then I realized, wait a minute. This is. This is the carpet man. So it's like. Because he would also puff it up really high, so you have no choice by step on it because he can't, like, walk over it.
Trisha Paytas
Is that his, like, fetish he stepped on?
Moses Hackman
I think it's something. I mean, yeah, he wants to be stepped on. So, yes, whatever feeling he gets from it, I don't know, but that's his thing. And. And he gets angry if people film him, if they catch him actually out of the carpet.
Jimmy Wetzel
I've never seen out of the carpet. I, I've.
Moses Hackman
I. I'll send you for B roll by the.
Jimmy Wetzel
I didn't know about this till very recently from Tik Tok. And then I'm like, trying to go through my mind of, like, every time I could have possibly, like, did I. I Don't think I've ever stepped on, but I'm like, I. I mean, I feel like I've definitely stepped over stuff. New York is always, always fixing something.
Trisha Paytas
I don't know.
Jimmy Wetzel
I feel like it's usually important places with scaffolding, too. So, like, you.
Moses Hackman
Yeah.
Jimmy Wetzel
He has to walk.
Moses Hackman
That's. That's why you consider one of the bad guys, because he. He's doing this without you knowing the other one. I think Georgie. Or he does it where you know what it's about. There's signs and there's things, and this is what he's about. And people do it knowingly and he's nice about it.
Trisha Paytas
I'm not stepping on anyone for free.
Moses Hackman
That's so.
Trisha Paytas
Gotta pay me for that.
Moses Hackman
So we're walking, then I look back and I see.
Jimmy Wetzel
Oh, my God.
Trisha Paytas
Oh, this is your footage.
Moses Hackman
Yeah. And there were other people that knew about it. That's.
Trisha Paytas
How do they know that there's not someone unhoused? How are they know to like. Why are they.
Moses Hackman
Well, because he's been doing it since 2011. People came across him.
Trisha Paytas
I mean, that seems. You see his face or.
Moses Hackman
No, no, he's just in there.
Jimmy Wetzel
Oh, my.
Trisha Paytas
I hate the. That so much.
Jimmy Wetzel
Like, I don't. Just imagining, like, under the carpet, giggling the whole time. It's. Oh, my God.
Moses Hackman
Yeah. No, when he's out of it, he looks very kind. I don't know, but he's, like, wearing, like, a jacket and everything. I. I knew about it, like, long time ago on Tik Tok, and it was one of my hot topics that we never talked about. And then suddenly I'm walking in New York. I'm like, oh, my God.
Trisha Paytas
Oh, my gosh. I would backtrack, go across the street.
Moses Hackman
Something some people do, though. Some people, well, avoid it. Him.
Trisha Paytas
That gives me the eck. The other hot topic everyone wanted us to talk about, it's kind of old now, I guess. I was gonna talk about it last time, but I was like, I don't know. I don't know. Halle Belchalter. Do you know her? She was on Caller Daddy and she was talking about how it gives her the ick when guys ask her to use condoms. You didn't see this clip anywhere? No, she's on Call Her Daddy, like, a week or two ago. I guess now, maybe like two weeks. And she was saying, like, when guy. Like, two different instances, guys would ask her, like, okay, I'm gonna like, should we wear a condom? She's like, ill. Like, why would you do that. That. And then she was like. And this is like, on call her daddy, right? It's, like, so crazy. And then she's like, you know, I'm like, not. I'm not gonna get pregnant. I'm not trying to have a baby or something like that. And she goes. She goes. Immediately killed the mood. She goes. As soon as they tried to, like, do a condom, she killed the mood instantly. And just, like, wasn't into it anymore. And I was like, that is the only reason. I was like, okay. I didn't talk about it first because I was like, well, whatever. And then she doubled down. She, like, did an apology, I guess, and she's like, I'm not sorry. It does give me the ick. Like, why would. So people were like, like, the only reason is because people are asking to talk about it. And I was like, well, look, I have been notorious to be like, yeah, I agree. I've been in the past where I'm like, yeah, condoms. Like, I'm. And it's so funny a girl saying it because, like, guys will usually say it because they don't want to wear one. But it's interesting to hear a girl say it because I've always said that, too. I'm like, yeah, well, condoms, like, are not, like, the funnest or whatever. However, I feel like she seems, like a lot younger. So I feel like someone now that's been 37 and been through it a lot without condoms, besides the pregnancy part, obviously. Okay, yes, that's. The STDs are crazy. So let me just tell you, as someone who has gotten chlamydia and gonorrhea, literally, it definitely, like, twice severe cases, but probably. Probably 100 times, not even knowing, right? When I was in my early 20s, I was, like, never getting tested, which I feel like you should be testing if you're sexually active, but especially if you're not wearing condoms. Which was like, me, because I was like, a dumb. Especially, like, just random hookups, too. I think that's, like, a wild thing, because so many people don't know either. Like, it's one thing to be like, well, I know this person. They want. A lot of people don't know. A lot of people don't get tested. A lot of times, like, diseases can go undetectable. Like, that's another thing, too. So it's such a crazy thing. And it's like, yeah, you can get medication for herpes or hiv. Yes. If you get it. That's like, you get medication, you can still live, but it can Like, F up your entire reproductive. Like, my issue with fertility was like, literally I had chlamydia for like a year that was untreated. And I was having sex with like 50 people during that time when I did not know that I had chlamydia. And so obviously just that alone can tell you. It's like going everywhere. And then when I did find out, I was like. Because I was like, it was. I was showing no symptoms. And guys too, like, don't really have a lot of symptoms with the chlamydia and gonorrhea. But like, all of a sudden, like, it did. I started like, it felt like burning something. They gave me this like giant red pill that like, like, was awful. But it like scarred my tubes. Like, it scarred my tubes for so long. Which is why I had trouble getting pregnant, which is why we did the HSG test, which like clears your tubes out and stuff like that. So a psa because I had seen so many people talking about it and it was like all over my tick tock. It's like, you know, condoms may not be fun and they may not be great, but if you are into just casual sex, which, like, more power to you, we love that too. Jimmy Wetzel
It's about protecting yourself, protecting the other person because you don't know if you have something too that part. And yeah, I just, I feel like this country, we just don't teach about sex at all in general. Like I didn't, I didn't learn about sex in Catholic school for sure.
Trisha Paytas
Really? Nothing?
Jimmy Wetzel
No. Like we had like biology class in ninth grade where we're like we learned about the body but like my health class class, we spent it watching.
Moses Hackman
The.
Jimmy Wetzel
Dark Knight Returns and Avengers. Like not even kidding.
Trisha Paytas
Like what? That's crazy.
Jimmy Wetzel
Yeah.
Trisha Paytas
Yeah. Ours was like literally absence. It was literally like the Mean Girls movie where it was like if you have sex, you'll get pregnant and die. Like that was literally the message. Not even go to Catholic school. I went to Public school. I remember them just saying like, just abstain otherwise like you'll probably get pregnant. So I remember being like so scared of that. And yeah, they were only teaching about that. Like you'll probably get pregnant if you have sex. Not the. You might burn when you pee. You might have scarred tubes for the rest of your life. Like it's so insane. And like again, like, it's just like. I don't know. I think it's like. So maybe she was, you know, trying to be real, but girl, I learned.
Jimmy Wetzel
About STDs from Degrassi because Emma gets I think gonorrhea or something.
Trisha Paytas
We talked about this. That same girl got syphilis in that Lifetime movies. That girl was always getting STD.
Jimmy Wetzel
To be typecast for. That is wild.
Trisha Paytas
Yeah, the movie I saw that. She's too young. She got syphilis and she gave it. She was sleeping with like 15 people. So they had to go like, tell all 50 guys she slept with that they probably had syphilis too. And like everyone was getting syphilis in the school.
Jimmy Wetzel
Plus, I don't know, I'll have to. I'll be fact checking again. Yeah, but I think like Some of these STDs are now becoming. There's like antibiotic resistant strains and stuff too, which you have to be very careful about.
Trisha Paytas
Oh my gosh.
Jimmy Wetzel
Like viruses evolve. Evolve over time and everything. Oh my God. I feel like it's. I think it's still pretty rare, but you just. You gotta protect yourself. It's very important.
Trisha Paytas
Yeah. Yeah. Because it does affect like your immune system affects everything. That's. That is scary because yeah, people. I know guys, I daily like, just take a pill. It's fine. Just get a pill. And like. Yeah, like in theory. But then even over time, like how like that pill. Does it work like every time? Yeah, it's. And it's not worth it. I think I've had so many health issues when I was like sexually active and not wearing condoms. Like, I just had so many like, like skin and throat and like stomach issues. Like just so much so.
Jimmy Wetzel
Did they ever do chastity talks at your school? No, probably not. Cuz public school.
Trisha Paytas
What was chastity talks?
Jimmy Wetzel
They. I remember one time and I remember being. I remember being like, I'm going to be chased because I. Because I was just like, yep, I. Nope, I'm not going to have sex with a girl till I'm married because I was gay. But. And that was like my. That was like a thing I said for. For like Maybe three days. And then I was just like, okay, everybody probably thinks I'm weird.
Trisha Paytas
Wait, really? We wearing rings like the Jonas Brothers?
Jimmy Wetzel
No, it was like they had like a assembly and they had these like we're cool people and we're gonna teach you about sex ed through sketches.
Trisha Paytas
Yes, we have the sketches come to our.
Jimmy Wetzel
And like I feel like it's pretty infamous this like analogy of like it's your wedding day and you decide to wear sneakers and the groom shows up in these. Nice.
Trisha Paytas
Save over $200 when you book weekly stays with VRBO this winter. If you need to work, why not work from a chalet? If you haven't seen your college besties since, well, college. You need a week to fully catch up in a snowy cabin. And if you have to stay in a remote place with your in laws, you should save over $200 a week. That's the least we can do. So you might as well start digging out the lawn john's because saving over $200 on a week long snowcation rental is in the cards book now@verbo.com fresh.
Jimmy Wetzel
New Nikes and his, his fiance shows up in these old beaten up running shoes which is so like disgusting to like first of all like say, oh, because a woman has had sex with anyone before her husband, like this is.
Moses Hackman
The wedding like Jane Divergent.
Trisha Paytas
Yeah, that's. That is crazy. Oh my, what an analogy. So crazy to be like the girl have to have dirty sneakers. What about the guy? Oh my God.
Jimmy Wetzel
But yeah, that was to a bunch of seventh and eighth graders instilling this message into our brains.
Trisha Paytas
Crazy 2000s. That's crazy because it seems so outdated. But yeah, the fact that there's still people teaching it.
Jimmy Wetzel
So thankfully all of us I feel like, because like yes, it was Catholic school, but it was in the Bronx. It was. My high school was completely different. It was a lot more like, we are Catholic. We're gonna teach you about like you have to write an essay about how being gay is wrong. Then do that. I wrote about how it was cool and all this other, all the, all the other things that they believe. We had to write essays about our thoughts on and ridiculous. But I think because it was in the Bronx, it was kind of like, yeah, we go to church.
Trisha Paytas
But like, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Jimmy Wetzel
So we all kind of left that being like that was cringe. But I was just like, I don't know, maybe I. Maybe I'll try it. Just because I was. That was like. So that way nobody would ask me like, do you have Any crushes on girls. Even though I think everyone in my class was just like, well, Jimmy's the.
Trisha Paytas
Gay kid that's on TikTok. You see guys, too. Like, I'm waiting. I'm waiting for God to send me a wife. And. And, like, like, again, more power to you, if that's your thing, for sure.
Jimmy Wetzel
But, like, also, I had a teacher in. I don't want. I'm not gonna say his name. I'll bleep it. Okay, I'll bleep it. But he was. He was gay. And cut. If you think I sound gay, like, I never said. Me and Oscar taking the gay test. New. New challenger has appeared. Very gay. Very gay. Presenting voice and mannerisms and face. And I could say it. It's okay.
Trisha Paytas
Okay.
Jimmy Wetzel
I have it too. So he's like, being like, yeah, so we're gonna learn about how homosexuality is a sin. And I'm just like, like, work diva. He told me. He was like, you make a great priest. I was just like, do you?
Moses Hackman
Yes.
Jimmy Wetzel
Because I was like. I guess because I was, like, very. Like, when we would do presentations and stuff, like, I was very surprisingly, like, good at. I was very recluse in high school.
Trisha Paytas
Yeah.
Jimmy Wetzel
Because I just didn't want, like, anybody to pay attention to me and call me gay. It was like, I show up, I go to school, talk to my friends, go home, make YouTube videos.
Trisha Paytas
Like, that's it.
Jimmy Wetzel
But he was just like, you make a great priest. And I was just like, I'd rather die.
Trisha Paytas
Like, no, that's weird. Why would he say that?
Jimmy Wetzel
But he was. He was always just like, yeah. One day when I married JLo, and I'm like, diva.
Trisha Paytas
Oh, okay.
Jimmy Wetzel
You only say that because you own all of her albums on vinyl and the deluxe CDs. Like, that was crazy.
Trisha Paytas
Did he ever come out, or was he maybe straight?
Jimmy Wetzel
No.
Trisha Paytas
I've seen some people gay presenting that are like, how's a white? I'm like, are you sure?
Jimmy Wetzel
For now, I. We.
Moses Hackman
Or she's also hiding it, you know?
Jimmy Wetzel
Yeah, you know, that's true. But I remember. So there were, like, guys that I. I w. That were gay in my high school that, like, I matched with on Tinder like, couple years after graduation. And we were just talking about. They were like, yeah, me and, like, these other kids were gay, and, like, we'd all hook up. And I was just like, where's my invite?
Trisha Paytas
Like, yeah, you're like, that was me.
Jimmy Wetzel
Didn't know that was happening. If I had known there were other gay kids in the school. I would. There was. There was one that was, like, out that would talk to me. He was really nice. And then there was another.
Trisha Paytas
No, sorry.
Jimmy Wetzel
Oh, no. I. It. Yeah. They could have just not known. I don't know. But I. Yeah, I didn't really, like, I didn't tell anybody. I was. I was very, like, private about it, but it's like, damn. Would have loved to have a formative gay experience, but, you know, it's okay. But they were like, yeah, I saw. I'm gonna bleep his name. I saw Mr. That was his name on. On. I think Tinder. I think Tinder searching for guys.
Trisha Paytas
He lived his best life after, so.
Jimmy Wetzel
And I did a. I did some research recently, and he no longer. I don't see him on the faculty list because I was looking for. I was looking for my guidance counselor from my senior year to, like, send her, like, a thank you because it'd been, like, 10 years since I graduated, and she really helped me with, like, my stepmom's abuse and stuff. Talking. My previous stepmom, my new stepmom is amazing. We're singing oh, Mary and yes. I wanted to, like, see if she still worked at the school and sent her an email being like, thank you so much for being my outlet. But she. She didn't work there, but neither does Mr. Bleep, so.
Trisha Paytas
Wow. Was he fired for being gay?
Jimmy Wetzel
I don't know, but it was. I was told after graduation from a teacher of mine who does still work there. So I'm not going to say his name, but he's cool as hell. He was just like, yeah, we have, like, a morality clause in our, like, contract with the school, and they basically use it as a way, I guess, to fire people if they just want to get rid of them if they don't like them.
Trisha Paytas
Them.
Jimmy Wetzel
So, like, oh, no. It was things like if they found out that you, like, were roommates with a woman or, like, your wife before you got married or something like that.
Trisha Paytas
They still have that in 2015.
Jimmy Wetzel
That was in it. I don't know if they still do, but I feel like they probably do.
Trisha Paytas
Wow.
Jimmy Wetzel
But, yeah, I was just like, what?
Trisha Paytas
I think this is why, like, Jesus and God get a bad name. Because it's like, these schools that are, like, preaching all, like, God's word, they're like, like. But also, you're gonna get fired if you're gay or lived with a woman.
Jimmy Wetzel
It's like, yeah, because, like, when you think of the. Like, my elementary school was very, like, we're just gonna learn about the. The principles of, like, how you treat other people.
Trisha Paytas
Yeah.
Jimmy Wetzel
Like, I feel like every year was the same curriculum of, like, the golden rule. Do unto others as you want done on yourself.
Trisha Paytas
Don't kill the neighbors.
Jimmy Wetzel
We learned prayers, we learned things, and we learned, like, the parts of the mass. So then when we went to church, we would know, like, when to kneel, when to stand, and stuff like that. Like that. It wasn't until high school that I was just like, oh, we're praying at the beginning of every class. Eight times a day.
Trisha Paytas
Yeah.
Jimmy Wetzel
All in unison. It's little. My words, my views do not reflect the views of the Just Church podcast. Little culty.
Trisha Paytas
Yeah.
Jimmy Wetzel
Crazy.
Trisha Paytas
I get it. I respect all religions for sure, but I get why there's hate towards the Catholic Church, why there's hate towards the Mormon Church. Even, like, Judah. Like, there's. There's like, some people are so extreme and I love all the religions. I love, like, principles of all of it. But then there's like those extremes that people are just like, you know, like the LeBrand's talking about, like, anti abortion. It's like, okay, you're losing us a little bit because, like, anyway, so it's a whole thing. But yeah, that becomes a whole other topic. Well, we are getting to the ends of our hot topic. Do we want to. Wow. I know. We have five minutes.
Jimmy Wetzel
This was great.
Trisha Paytas
Britney Spears said she got brain damage from the conservatorship. The golden bachelor. Gary threatened to hurt his former wife, Teresa.
Jimmy Wetzel
What?
Moses Hackman
What?
Trisha Paytas
Crazy.
Jimmy Wetzel
To rapid fire. Oh, my God.
Trisha Paytas
Yeah, there was some accusations.
Jimmy Wetzel
I had K pop demon hunters 2. 2029. That was.
Trisha Paytas
That's a good one.
Jimmy Wetzel
I have plenty of time to see the first one still. I.
Moses Hackman
They're going to wait till 29.
Jimmy Wetzel
It takes so long. Bring it back. Still really want you to watch Steven Universe comments. Back me up, please. So Those are like 11 minutes of cartoon animation. Hand drawn, 2D animation. One episode would take like, an entire year to make.
Trisha Paytas
That's crazy.
Jimmy Wetzel
Yeah, they would, like, storyboard the whole thing and write it in like two weeks. And then like six to seven months later, they get like, the rough animation back.
Trisha Paytas
I'm excited for K Pop to. I'm doing. I'm doing a K Pop song next year. It's all.
Jimmy Wetzel
I'll do the lyric video for it.
Trisha Paytas
Do you know Korean?
Jimmy Wetzel
No, but. Oh, maybe I'll commission someone who does to help me translate.
Trisha Paytas
What about Babel?
Jimmy Wetzel
Oh, yeah. Shout out to this.
Trisha Paytas
Korean on Babel. I would love. I'VE been learning Korean singing. And that's it. And I know how to count to three. Hana. Dual set net four.
Jimmy Wetzel
Very cool.
Trisha Paytas
Yeah. Enter Taekwondo, Moses, rapid fire. Hot Topic.
Moses Hackman
We got Mariah Carey with a new commercial.
Trisha Paytas
Yeah, Mo's telling me about this in the car. You had some passion for this one.
Jimmy Wetzel
Oh, people were kind of mad, right?
Moses Hackman
Well, it's kind of like her song is all about all I want for Christmas is you. It's not gift or materials. But then the commercial is all about the elf, which is the worker that is not getting paid enough. So he steals some of her gifts and stuff, but then she berates him for that, takes it back, and so it's like this really weird hunger. People say it's like Hunger Game, you know, let the meat cake kind of.
Jimmy Wetzel
Situation in this climate, too, where, like, people literally are not able to get food because especially the government shut down that program.
Trisha Paytas
Oh, my gosh. Yes. Oh, I should wear. Should put this at the beginning of the show, too. Yes. Anyone who needs help during this time with food, with any of your children's cupcakes. I've been donating a lot to schools. A lot of teachers have been giving me their school links and school paypals. Please email me at Trisha Food for you@yahoo.com. i've been getting thousands of emails. I really try, like, I have a whole act to a Beetlejuice to go and sit through and try and donate as much as I can. But thank you guys to everyone who's, like, reached out. Like, it really. I love helping and it's always anonymous and, yeah, this. It's a devastating time. This is one of the things that. I mean, multiple things in this world are devastating to me right now, but this is like, yeah, no one should have to, like, go hungry. And the fact that we're putting money elsewhere when we could just be feeding the people in our country makes me sad, and it's actually the most devastating thing, so we'd love to help. So Cheshire food for you@yahoo.com and hopefully this world can get back on track, but we're running out of time. You guys, thank you for being here. Thank you for being here.
Jimmy Wetzel
Thank you for having me.
Trisha Paytas
You're such a good vibe, Jimmy. Like, thank you so much for coming to the show. Thank you so much the world.
Jimmy Wetzel
It was so cool. I, like, I. I say it every time I'm here, but, like, it. It really is the coolest thing ever that I get to be a part of this crew and get to know you both and. And I. I don't know, it just. It feels. Feels like divine intervention that it happened and everything. It's really cool.
Trisha Paytas
I think about stuff all day. Like, that, like, we don't have to go over it all again, but, like, the process of, like, finding you and, like, just how it all worked out, like, you know, just.
Jimmy Wetzel
It was very serendipitous.
Trisha Paytas
Yeah.
Jimmy Wetzel
And I feel. I really feel like I, like, stumbled into this whole thing.
Trisha Paytas
And we're so lucky. Everything's been elevated since you. Everyone feels like, you know, Oscar has more time and then, you know, you're just so. You add so much dimension to it. It's like literally having. Yeah. Fourth coast. And it's wonderful and it's great and everyone loves you and we love you and it meant so much to see last night. It was so fun. It's just so fun to see people too, like, outside of like, like the Gesture Studio. Right. You see them and like, oh, my God, we're here at Beetlejuice together. So it was so much fun.
