So I really actually, I want to talk about that. So obviously we've been trying to find our groove of things and we can't make everyone happy. But I'm learning that people like the chaos more than they don't. So there's less bad comments when it's chaotic than it is anything else. There's always one, maybe two people that don't like the chaos. The majority of the people love the chaos.

But I think about it because our. Our friendship is chaotic. So, like, if you sat in a room with us outside of recording, that's what the conversation is like, just jumping all over the place.

I'm curious because I have been seeing comments about, how do you leave your wife alone? Are pregnant people incapable of taking care of themselves? Because, like, Leah has given me zero reason that she needs me to help her in any capacity thus far. I get. When you get to your third trimester and, like, you know, it starts. You start having trouble moving and, like, you need a little bit more. Like, I give Leah emotional support anytime I'm around her, but, like, she's incapable. Like, why do people think pregnant people are incapable of, like, being alone?

I'm gonna say something that might ruffle feathers, but I think a lot of that comes from unhealthy relationships because it's definitely coming from the straits, and it's definitely coming from unhealthy relationships because I remember being in a really vulnerable place while I was pregnant with one of my kids, and it was because the emo. The. The relationship itself was so unstable while I was pregnant that I constantly needed reassurance. I constantly needed to be. You know, he never checked up on me. He never was asking how I was, and it made. It made things worse. But then, like, when I was pregnant with Elijah, I never had that problem. Like, it. I literally could leave for two weeks, and he. Nobody. Nobody cared.

Yeah.

Like, I didn't care if he.

I was fine. Do you know what I mean? I really think it comes from unhealthy relationships.

Yeah. Because I was just like, what the. Like, I kept reading like, I can't believe she's leaving her pregnant wife. And I'm just like, what do you mean? She's, like, working. Like, our entire relationship is built off.

It's not like she's on bed rest and you're leaving.

And so I lived at your house for four days.

You're like, I've been home for seven days, and I believe that I moved in with Kale.

Yeah. I'm like, are we good? And she's like, what are you talking about? I don't know. People are like, saying that I abandoned you. She's like, I've been working like it's. Tabloids are funny though, because I remember specifically this one time, Leah and I were in the grocery store and I saw like a tabloid magazine and I was like, wow, I can't believe that. She was like, becky, let's just think for a moment.

It was like a year after all the scandal about me and you dating. And she's like, how many. That face you made was funny. She was like, how many times has there been a tabloid written about you? That's not true. And I said, you're so right. But I fall for every single.

If like, I have been in a situation where I needed my friends the most and like, they've shown up for me in the ways that I needed them to. And me coming to stay with you. One was already planned. Two, I would have done it if it wasn't already planned. Because sometimes your friends just need you and that's okay. I think that's what keeps balance in your relationship, balance in your friendships. I think it makes like, it makes us stay alive. Because, like, you have to give more to people outside of your partner.

I'm telling you, it's the unhealthy relationships that. That don't have that same dynamic or thought process.

Because I mean, think about it, right? Like when I was with one of my exes that you don't love. I would like.

And we were having that, and we were having the discussion. She's like, well, coming home after a night shift sounds depressing without anyone there. I said, totally fine, we'll figure something else out. It was just a conversation. Wasn't anything finite. And then she's like, unless it's a bad kid, then haha to you and you can have him and I can sleep for three days. Yeah. Leah loves. Yeah. She's like, just thinking about you driving with a screaming kid for four hours or three hours.

So the conversations are happening. But then I was like, maybe I'll, you know, I know I'm gonna hit the lottery even though I don't play. And maybe I'll be a millionaire. Correct. I have bear problems at my house. I have like eight bears that live on my property. They just came out of hibernation. And what is the problem?

[Kale Lowry]

But what is the problem? That sounds like I would look out the window and see that for what my to just.

[Becky]

Yeah, that.

[Kale Lowry]

Well, no, I don't want them to eat my animals. I want to look out the window and see them in their natural habitat. Like that's really cool to me. Like bears seems like a really cool thing to show baby backs out the.

Window or to take him into their den.

[Kale Lowry]

If you don't bother them, they shouldn't bother you.

[Becky]

The issue, here's the issue I'm gonna get this is this might pit. This might piss some people off. About five years ago, New Jersey banned bear hunting. They took away all bear hunting. No bear hunting for anyone. Okay. Which sounds for some people who Live in, like, communities that are very populated, like outside New York City. That sounds great. Why? What does it matter? The issue is, is that in the. Is it rural?

[Kale Lowry]

Rural?

[Becky]

Rural. Is that it? Okay. In the rural areas, we have bear issues. And so bear hunting is to make sure that we regulate their population. And so for five, there was zero bear hunting tags given out. And so for the past five years, we've been overpopulated with bears. They aren't scared of anything. So they like, are not frightened by you because they haven't been hunted. And so now we have this issue of bears just feeling too comfortable and just thinking that they belong on my porch and in my house.

I don't know that this is like a. Making them feel too comfortable.

[Becky]

Well, they just brought back bear hunting, so hopefully it helps regulate the bear population.

[Kale Lowry]

Are they overpopulated?

[Becky]

Yes.

Yes. It's bad. You don't have bears in Delaware?

No, we live in on peninsula. Okay. I don't know if that's their nature.

But Delaware is a peninsula. It's literally almost an island. It could snap off the United States at any point and be its own island, unlike Rhode Island.

Okay. I think that when someone dies, their energy continues on in the world. But like, do I think that people haunt me or like, first of all, I'm waiting for my grandparents to tell me something, and they still haven't. So they've been dead for some years now.

I don't think it's always people that, you know, have passed that, like, present themselves.

Present themselves in what way?

Energy signs.

Do you think that the energy in the signs is your desires? You're looking for it. So you see, it's kind of like when you get a new car and you're like, oh, I love this car. It's so different, right? And then you get it, and then you see it on the road everywhere, and you're like, wow, I didn't realize this many people had a Defender. And you're like, I thought I was original. And it's sort of like that, like. Like, because you have it or it happened to you now you see it everywhere.

No, I think that some things people think of that, like, they associate it with being a sign and it makes them feel better, and that's totally fine. Do I think, like. I think that can happen, But I do, like, I 100 believe in ghosts and that I've had ghosts in almost every single house growing up, like, doing crazy. I've seen it. I've seen it.

[Kale Lowry]

Could you give me an example?

[Becky]

Yeah. This one time, I think I was probably in eighth grade, maybe seventh grade, we had a ghost in this house. And she used to, like, screw with the heat all the time and, like, and turn on TVs and put on the, like, volume up and down and all these things. And why are you looking at me like that?

[Kale Lowry]

I just don't buy it.

[Becky]

Don't believe it and don't. And so this one time, I was laying there in my bunk bed and the door slammed shut, and I said, no. I said, no, thank you. I. I don't want any of that today, ma'am. And. And then it opened and I said. And so I got up and I looked and I saw her go like that down the steps. It was crazy. She lived in that house. She was nice, though. Most of the time. I've never really dealt with a bad energy ghost or bad, like, Bobby lives in our house now still. She was like, the owner of the house before us. She's there.

[Kale Lowry]

I didn't get that vibe when I was there.

[Becky]

Only most of the time it's men. She only bothers men. She only bring, like, energy to men. She doesn't like men.

[Kale Lowry]

I'm just not buying it.

[Becky]

I think that. Well, we're gonna spook you.

I hope so. Is it haunted? Elijah's house? Was built in 1950. I might go stay in there.

Anyway, no ghosts for you over there.

No ghost for me. Not. Not a believer. Never had an experience that is so surprising to me. When my mom, okay, I lived at this house, 9 Wood street in Honesdale, Pennsylvania. Right. And it was with my mom's like third husband. That was my dad. I called him dad. Anyway, I digress. So one time my mom got so up. Like up, right. And I'm seven, so I know she's up, but I don't know why she's up at that age. I was like, I don't know what's going on. So she starts talking to her dead sister, my mom's dead sister. And I think that's why I don't believe in ghosts because my mom was telling me that her sister was here while she was up and she was like, she's right here. Talk to her. And I'm traumatized.

[Becky]

That makes sense to me.

[Kale Lowry]

So I'm like, what are you. I don't understand what's going on.

[Becky]

Yeah, I mean, yeah, like why are.

[Kale Lowry]

You having your 7 year old child talk to your dead sister? Like, what are you doing here?

[Becky]

I think that's one of many things on the list of things that I want you to meet.

[Kale Lowry]

Susie. I want you to meet Susie. We need to go on a quest and I want you to meet her and have her on for the haters.

[Becky]

Should we do like some type of like, like get a PI, find her and then I just naturally bump into her.

[Kale Lowry]

I would love that. I want to be a fly on. I want to watch from the corners. Like I want to like be high. Like, you know those old Disney shows, like super cheesy. Like I want to be watching the interactions. I want to know what's going on because I want to know does she remember these traumas that she put me through or was that a regular day in Susie's world?

It's been how long since you've talked?

[Kale Lowry]

Seven years. Well, oh no, I talked to her in 2020, 2019. I spoke to her on the phone, but it's been seven years since I've seen her. Eight years since I've seen her.

When do you think is the good time to. To do a barely famous episode with her?

[Kale Lowry]

I guess when we find her. I don't even know if she would agree to do it. I am friends with her ex husband on Facebook though.

We should hire a PI. You should is if she's still an. I don't know.

Well, I said all that to say that that's probably why I don't believe in ghosts, because she was forcing me to talk to one that I couldn't see.

I think that we need to set up a ghost experience. And then, well, we were gonna go.

Do the haunted thing in New Orleans, and then we didn't end up going.

[Becky]

Yeah, maybe when we go to Salem, we could do something.

This one time, I went on a ghost walk there, and we went by this one cemetery, and I looked at my friends that I was with, and everyone just, like, looked at each other because we felt just like this weight come over us. It was the most insane feeling in the world. We were like, okay, we don't. We don't think we should be over here.

Do you think, like, ghosts are like that eerie feeling when you walk into somewhere? It's like that eerie, like, you can't describe it type of feeling for sure.

[Becky]

It's their energy.

[Kale Lowry]

We went to the royal palace in Spain in November.

Yeah.

And even though there was, like, hundreds of people coming in and out to do this tour, like, they had, like, the little cards and, like, there's a video of Creed. We were reading, like, the little plate thing that it was like, you know, the king, whoever it was, died in. In the room. And I felt, like an eerie feeling. But it's just, I think knowing that someone died there. Do you know what I mean? Because I feel like we're so curious about death.

Yeah.

But I've never really experienced, like, actual paranormal activity. Just like an eerie feel. Okay.

So me talking to them would be fun and enjoyable, but it, it wasn't be like a healing experience for me. But like my best friend passed away and he was brought up during that session and she said things about him that literally two people in this world know. Like it was insane, it was wild. Like, like she also is the one that told me this was. I was probably 26 when I went. She told me that when I turned 34 is when all my success comes.

Which I feel like is accurate. But again that could just be.

I saw this. It was about this girl. She said when sometimes she gets really sad and depressed. We're just going through a funk and needs a rejuvenating day. She will take a day off. Off and she will spend the day and think about and act as if she was time traveling. She will think of herself as if she is an 80 year old woman and she can time. Like this day I get to time travel. What am I gonna do today? Like isn't that crazy to think about? Like what would you spend your day as if you were time traveling back in time? Like if this day. In your own life, in your own life, you are 80 years old. Old. You've lived your entire life and you are time traveling back. What would you do that day? You could do anything.

[Kale Lowry]

Oh wow.

And what, what age would you time travel back to. It could be now.

[Kale Lowry]

I actually have no idea because I. I'm gonna be so real with you. I don't ever want to live another. I don't want to live again in any way, shape or form. So I don't know that I would want to go back. Maybe one of the kids birthday parties or like, spending time with the kids as a family one day, like as a small child.

[Becky]

Yeah. So it's interesting that your thought went to, like, who you're spending it with.

[Kale Lowry]

Yeah. Well, what el. What else would it be?

[Becky]

Mine didn't go that way. Mine went to, like, being able bodied, like, being like, ha. Like being able to run in a field, being able to go and play basketball, you know, like, my. My thoughts went to, like, physically, what would I do? Like, in that day, I would walk everywhere. Right. Like, I wouldn't take a taxi. I would.

[Kale Lowry]

Because you're assuming that when you're about to die and you're 80, you're like, not able.

[Becky]

Not as able to like, do many things. But it puts into perspective, like, why wouldn't I just walk in general, like, do it now. Right. Like, why would I don't take the taxi. Just not that there's taxis in my town and my driveway is a mile long, but I think it just puts back into perspective of being present in what you have. And that's what I took from it.

[Kale Lowry]

Yeah. I think that's similar to me. Is it not being present in the time?

[Becky]

No. Yeah. You're just funny. You're. You're stupid. Yeah. You're just a silly little goose.

[Kale Lowry]

I wouldn't go to Disney with the kids. I'd spend it somewhere else.

Yeah.

Yeah. But I would like. Like to be in a good. I don't know.

Okay. So I imagine for you. Right. I imagine thinking of it as. I know that you're a busy person, but, you know, if your kid asked you to go outside to play soccer with them, would I do it? Right. Like yourself, traveling back in time, you might say right now because you're busy. But if you traveled back in time from 50 years from now, I would go play.

So it like, makes you think. And. And I wonder what my kids will.

Say about me when I die. Like, will they say that I played every soccer game? Will they say that you showed up? Yeah. I talked about this before on like, other podcasts, but I The one tik tok that really me up. But I saw this creator talk about.

How you could Take your kids on.

Vacation all the time. You can have all the best memories. But what sticks with them and what's traumatizing to them is, though, you know, handful of times that you screamed at them when you were frustrated or like, they might not remember the Disney trip when they were five years old, but they'll remember when you, you know, were disappointed in them when they were 10 or something like that. And so I do. I. It scares me. It freaks me out.

[Becky]

I don't. I don't think anyone is immune to up their kids.

[Kale Lowry]

No, for sure not. But I think that because I live under a microscope, I just also think that it could be exacerbated a little bit. Like when I die, will you tell my kids stories about. So if they are questioning who I was as a mom, that you could give them perspective from an outsider's point of view.

[Becky]

First of all, because I love hearing stories about, like, my mom.

Are you envisioning when you pass away.

Your children as children or as adults?

Children always have.

Someone alluded to, like, chickens and like, eating and they couldn't understand. Like, they, like, didn't know and they don't. As far as I'm concerned, this thing on my plate is. Was never a living being.

Now to my karma or chaos. My husband and I have been together since high school. 16 years.

Married for 13 and we have three children. During our dating years, my parents had a problem with us being together. They tried to push us away, which ended up, pushing us closer together. I moved out after graduation to move in with him, which led to them not speaking me for over a year. He and I have made a wonderful life together. And even though they are now okay with our relationship, I am still very much their black sheep child. I'm never invited over or involved in anything unless it's a holiday. They are very inactive in our life and our children's lives, which is frustrating and upsetting. Is this my karma for rebelling against them and staying with him? Now my children have to suffer and have no grandparents on my side of the family? Or is it just chaos that I have a shitty, unforgiving parents?

I don't know that that's either. I think it's completely out of her control. And unfortunately, her parents are selfish because if they have a great life together and she's happy, why would her parents not be supportive of that?

I agree. I don't think it's karma at all. I think that you staying with your boyfriend at the time when, like, first of all, why didn't your parents want you together? Like, that seems like out of their control. Unless he was a bad influence. Yeah.

Like, it wasn't healthy.

Yeah. Like a bad kid or doing drugs or getting you to do, like. And even at that, you know, take it with a grain of salt. Your parents need to grow up.

Yeah. No, that was like, my first thought was, I can't imagine.

And something somebody I tried to have.

I tried to celebrate Christmas a couple years ago, had a tree decorator come in, and we were having this conversation about, like, our kids and things like that. And one of the things that she said to me that really stuck with me was that she would never one that she loves her kids unconditionally. It doesn't matter to her what her kids are with, who they're with, what they do, what they, you know, their interests and things like that. She would never choose whatever goes on in their personal life to affect her to the point that she wouldn't have a relationship with her children. Like, so she was basically saying she loves them unconditionally, no matter what. At the end of the day, you.

Have to decide to is their personal.

Life that doesn't affect you. When you go to sleep at night, you're gonna. I don't know what I'm trying to say. Like, you're gonna choose who they're with versus having a relationship with your child and their grand and your grandchildren. Like, that I can't understand. Like, why are we having kids if you're not committed to loving them unconditionally and you're only choosing to love them if they do things your way. Yeah, I don't think that's karma or chaos. I actually feel really bad for her.

I, I couldn't agree more. Her one, her kids didn't deserve that. But honest, like, like.

[Kale Lowry]

I loved my grandparents so much. Like my grandparents were a huge staple in the first quarter of my life.

[Becky]

Yeah.

[Kale Lowry]

Or first third of my life. They were huge influences. They took care of me. Like I have to this day, I have memories with them. So like depriving your grandkids of an experience and like a life with grandparents is crazy.

[Becky]

And even just like being an adult and like watching your kid grow into a parent as well. Like obviously your child is no longer that 17 year old maybe rebellious person. Like you have a daughter who has a family and a, you know, and seems like a healthy marriage. Like wouldn't you.

[Kale Lowry]

But even if that wasn't healthy though, why would you remove yourself? Unless it's as that support.

[Becky]

Right. Right.

[Kale Lowry]

Especially like I can't imagine like leaving my, my child like Isaac. Right. He's getting to the age where he's, you know, relationships and things like that. I can only do so much to protect him in terms of like the relationship at the end of the day, he's going to choose who he wants to be with and I can either help guide him through that or I can be the support or. But I couldn't imagine cutting him off because of his spouse. If he chose to cut me off, that's a different conversation. But I'm not going to cut my child off.

No, no. I think that you, if this was me, I would reevaluate my own boundaries with my parents because if they're not giving love to your children as they should and, or like even respecting you and love to you, then yeah, snip, snip.

And it's a lot easier said than done. It's. It's definitely hard.

Yeah. And, and creating healthier boundaries because obviously there's weight that's being carried by you throughout this like, decision and like how they're acting around you, so.
