A
Foreign. Welcome to Karma and Chaos.
B
I'm already tired. What's up, everyone? And welcome back to Karma and Chaos. Good morning, good evening, good day, good night.
A
All right.
B
We are coming at you live from Dover, Delaware.
A
There's a lot going on.
B
There's so much going on. This morning has already been hectic. We're here. We have something intrigued for you today. Yeah, I don't know what it is yet, but it's coming.
A
We usually figure it out as we go.
B
We sure do. Can I just tell you.
A
Oh, go ahead.
B
Have you had a Nutter Butter lately?
A
Probably about a week or two ago, yeah.
B
Oh, really?
A
Yeah, we actually. Ike and I buy them regularly.
B
I haven't had a Nutter Butter in so long, and I stopped at my gas station on my way here, and I got. I was like, oh, there's a Nutter Butter. Wow. It's. I. It was so good.
A
Like a blast from the past.
B
Like, it melted in my mouth and I was like, wow, this is exactly everything I needed.
A
Yeah. Yeah. I should have brought you some if I knew.
B
Off the list, Rebecca's saying that there's Nutter Butter wafers, which I don't, like, quite comprehend the difference between a Nutter Butter and a Nutter Butter wafer. I thought, okay, Nutter Butter is a wafer.
A
She's not talking about the peanut cookies. She's talking about the wafers covered in chocolate and peanut butter.
B
Yes, that's what I'm talking about. Isn't a Nutter Butter the. Oh, you're right.
A
You're right.
B
I.
A
No, you're wrong. You're talking about a nutty. A Nutty Buddy. Nutter Butters are the peanut shaped cookies. And we're weird. We meant nutty buddies.
B
You are Nutty buddies. Who, me? No, we are talking about. We're on the same page here.
A
Yeah, we are. We are for the first time.
B
Wait, is it Nutty Buddies?
A
Yes, nutty and then buddies. Like a friend.
B
Wow. Why did I think it was Nutter Butters? Yeah, but we were on the same page. Would have been funny if we were on completely opposite pages.
A
But that would have been funny.
B
First time for everything.
A
I would love to tell you that when I. First of all, I just want to tell you about my morning really quick, if you don't mind.
B
No. Mind given.
A
Okay, thanks. So my kids are really self sufficient in the morning. Like, they wake themselves up. Like, I don't. I literally don't have to go up and get them. And on this particular morning today, Creed was the first One up, which never happens. He was in such a good mood and he comes down and he's like, can I take a shower? And I'm like, yes. And so he goes in the bathroom, he takes a shower while I get up and I go pee. And he's in the shower and you can like, I can see the shower from where I am, but he can't see me peeing. But I come out of the bathroom where the toilet is and he goes, why can't girls just stand up when they pee? And I'm like, that's a great question. But like, how do you explain to a five year old that like a girl, if we were to stand up and pee, the pee would go everywhere? Do you know what I mean? Like, that's not like a concept that I can explain in words for them to understand because I, I started to say like, well, boys have a hole that like shoots pee out of. I started to say that and I was like, but so do girls. But like, it was a very hard conversation.
B
What did you end up on?
A
I ended up just saying that if a girl doesn't stand up, it goes everywhere. But I didn't, I couldn't explain why.
B
So my concern is that you have three older boys than Creed and that this conversation never came up before, that it may have. And you never had an answer.
A
No, they've never. That I can remember. They've never talked about, like, why maybe. But how do you explain why? Why it goes everywhere for a girl and it doesn't go everywhere for a boy because they.
B
You have a, like a poll.
A
I told him it like, for boys it like shoots out, but for girls it would just go everywhere. That's what I said. Because I did not.
B
Boys have something to direct. Girls don't have something to direct.
A
So this morning was such a. Because Creed woke up earlier than everybody else. I had more time with just him. And so then I get in the shower.
B
That's my boy.
A
And I know it is. That's. You're like your child. So then I, I get in the shower, he gets out and he opens the shower door and he says, so who put Buddha in the sky? I'm like, oh, well. And I'm trying to think of, like, how do you explain. I started to talk about like, you know, Creed, like you're five and you're in your body, but like, your body is not who you are. Like, trying to explain this in a way that a five year old can understand was so challenging because I also know that like Chris believes in God and stuff. And so like, and I know that and I want to respect that because I don't know how they feel. And I'm very, very like, believe whatever you want. And so like, I'm not religious and I don't know, like, so I'm like, okay, well there's like a spirit. And he looks at me and he goes, well, what's a spirit?
B
A soul.
A
I know. And then I said, well, do you know what a soul is? And he's like, no, what's a soul? And so I'm like, okay, well your name is Creed and you have this personality. I said, but like this personality and Creed could be in like, in theory. And then I'm like, I don't personally believe in reincarnation, but I'm like, your, your body, you're like, your body is different than yourself through a crisis. And this is all like, like back to back questions. And he's so like, he reminds me of Elliot so much as a child. Like highly inquisitive and like just challenging all the things. And so how do you explain what a spirit or a soul is to a child? Like a five year old? I'm not talking about Lux's age because I could more so explain it to Lux and Lincoln, but like to a five year old who doesn't understand the concept of like a soul or a spirit. What the hell was I supposed to say?
B
I have no clue.
A
What would you guys have said?
B
Well, my. You know what I would do? I'd watch the movie Soul. Cuz I've watched that movie so many times and it's such a good movie.
A
Love that.
B
When I used to like take a lot of mushrooms, that would be the movie I would watch.
A
I love that.
B
It's so good.
A
I don't know. I was so proud of him and like honestly impressed with like his questions because they're all valid. Even the P1. I'm like, that was like a start, like a very, very big.
B
Yeah, I feel like this is prepping me for questions that might come up in my life.
A
That's kind of why I brought it up. Because I was like, I have three kids before him and this never came up. You know what I mean? So like for sure could like. And especially because he only he has two moms, there's no dads peeing around him. So it's not like he's gonna be, yeah, he's gonna want to know, why do you guys sit down? And he doesn't.
B
I'm gonna have to get a shiwi to help teach him.
A
Excuse me.
B
Actually, I do have a shiwi, so I don't have to get it. I used to use it camping. A she we allows for you to stand pee standing up.
A
I don't think my body would allow me.
B
Do you remember I texted you the other day and asked what direction your pee goes?
A
Everywhere. It goes everywhere, does it not? Like, even if you. Even if it's going in a straight line, it's still, like, a vertical line. So it's, like, spraying in, like, a.
B
Vertical down or goes forward.
A
It depends on the day, and it depends on the angle I'm sitting on. You know, like, if I'm sitting regular and I'm, like, fully just, like, plopping on the toilet, it's gonna go in one direction.
B
I have this ongoing struggle where like, sometimes the pee comes through the seat and the thing, and it, like, comes down through the. Like, onto the ground, and I'm like, what the. Is there something wrong with me?
A
Yeah, a lot.
B
It happens to you too.
A
If you guys can't hear Rebecca, she's saying that her pee direction changed after she had her daughter.
B
That makes sense, right?
A
No, because why. Why would your PE like, your PE Is not associated with childbirth.
B
Yeah, but it's touching.
A
The.
B
Is touching different parts.
A
The catheter and stuff could affect it. Okay, that makes sense to me. I would like to do a little bit of sports trivia with you today. I had Lux and Lincoln on the podcast on Barely Famous podcast yesterday, and they did sports trivia with me, and I got every single answer correct. Okay, so I'm.
B
Are you. Are you trying to bring my mood down right off the bat?
A
Yeah.
B
Okay.
A
Because I want to have Golden Retriever energy one day more than you.
B
Here we go.
A
Let's.
B
Let's have it.
A
So these are Barely Famous cards, but this is for Karma and Chaos podcast, because these were used for.
B
Because people watching don't know.
A
Yeah, they don't know. They might think this is an episode of Carmine of Barely Famous. Okay. True or false. In football, 100 points gets you a guaranteed win.
B
False.
A
Okay. A slam dunk in bass. True or false.
B
Actually, that's false.
A
It is false.
B
No, no, no, no, it's true.
A
No, it's false.
B
No, it's true. At peewee football, you don't think they're gonna.
A
The slaughter rule?
B
They're gonna do a mercy rule.
A
Yeah, for sure.
B
Yeah.
A
So you're. So it's, like, half correct. Yeah, I would say. I would say you're right. You're accurate on that.
B
Okay, cool.
A
Thinking a slam dunk in basketball is worth more than a layup.
B
No. False.
A
In soccer, if you trip someone, it's probably a foul.
B
False. Because what if the ball's between you and tripping them? Then it's fair game. If you trip them without a ball, then yeah, but like, you could trust.
A
Okay, that's enough. I've heard enough. That's. How many player. How many players are on the soccer field for each team, including the goalie?
B
11.
A
Can outfield players touch the ball with their hands? A, yes. B, no. C, Only if they're dramatic.
B
Yes.
A
The correct answer is B, no. Only goalies can handle in the penalty area.
B
Oh, you said outfielders.
A
Yeah. Can they touch the ball with their hands?
B
Outfielders is baseball.
A
That's what I said. Is that not exactly what I said yesterday? Alessandra?
B
Babe, I don't know. Like, I don't remember.
A
I had that exact reaction and they said no. These are soccer questions.
B
Whatever. It's.
A
I had the same exact. It is. And I had the same exact reaction. Foreign. Let's talk about quints really quick. They've got premium wardrobe staples with quality that's made to last. I have ordered so much quince in the last six months, it's not even funny. I'm talking sweaters, bedding, towels, sunglasses, earrings. I've gotten so much for them. And Quinn's works directly with safe and ethical factories and cut out the middleman cost. So you're not paying for the brand markup. It's super high quality clothing without these super outrageous prices.
B
The last time I went to order quint, I got a text from Kale because she was like, did you steal my code? She was pissed because she loves quint so much. I ordered. I know that I talked about this last time, but I ordered like, the. The brown slippers that everyone wears. I got a pair off Quint and I live in those things all.
A
Are they over there?
B
Yeah.
A
Oh, my God, I love that. So if you guys want to refresh your wardrobe with Quince, go to quince.com/karma to get free shipping on your order and 365 day returns. 9 now available in Canada too. I know you guys have been asking. That's Q-U-I-N-C-E.com karma to get free shipping and 365 day returns. Quints.com karma. How many points is a three pointer worth?
B
Three. Yeah.
A
What happens if a player takes more than two step steps without dribbling travel for soccer or for.
B
For basketball?
A
Okay, what about for soccer?
B
Nothing.
A
What skill is used when the ball goes out of bounds on the sideline? An air guitar? A slide, tackle or throw in.
B
I don't even need multiple choice.
A
How many points is a touchdown worth?
B
6.
A
What do you do when the offense moves the ball into the end zone? Or, sorry, what do you call it? A pizza delivery, a home run or a touchdown?
B
A touchdown. Are these questions for 5 year olds?
A
It was for Kale.
B
Oh, right.
A
How many downs does a team get to move?
B
4. I thought this was going to be harder.
A
Yeah, me too, but it's fine.
B
You know the thing. Let's just.
A
I got them. All right, though.
B
So that's what set the scene here. I played college basketball and soccer. Right. Like, I'm an athlete.
A
Me too.
B
What in the right mind of yours did you think that those. I thought you were going to ask me, like, who's the wide receiver for the Seattle Seahawks?
A
All right. Who's the wide receiver? Who is the starting wide receiver for the Philadelphia Eagles?
B
I have no clue.
A
Okay.
B
Juju.
A
AJ Brown.
B
I have Devonte Smith. I know nothing. Like, I don't know, like, players and stuff. But, like, you should. What they should have asked how many.
A
Rings did Michael Jordan win?
B
I don't know. Okay, but like, they should have, like six.
A
Six rings. Duh. The shoes. I should know better.
B
What they should have the questions that should have been asked. You are like, what is the n. Like NHL team in Texas? Right?
A
What? Okay.
B
It would have been just silence anyway. Is it my turn?
A
Yeah.
B
Pull out your list. Let me pull out my list. Let's see what we have going on here.
A
We're doing our best and I'm on 20 milligrams of Vyvanse right now, so I hope everyone's happy. Yeah.
B
Wait, this is.
A
Everyone's happy.
B
This is so relevant to this conversation. I saw a TikTok Tock yesterday and it said. It said, normalize booing people mid conversation. If you don't like tomatoes. Tomatoes.
A
Tomatoes.
B
That's so funny. But the thing is, is that now.
A
We'Re going to use that against Kyle.
B
And she's going to get so upset. Okay. So mad talking about getting upset. I need to talk about that. About this. I am. And Alessandra and I have been talking.
A
To behind my back.
B
Yeah, yeah. This has zero to do with you.
A
Everything has everything to do with me.
B
I am watching Gilmore Girls for the first time. Have you seen Gilmore Girls?
A
I have watched it here. Like an episode here and There, but I have not. I don't think I've ever seen a full one. I don't think I've seen a full.
B
I feel like you should watch it, because I feel like Lorelei and Rory give, like, you and Elliot vibes. Like, they're best friends. They like. Like, their relationship, I feel like, is pretty similar to the two of you. This really fast. Oh, okay. I didn't realize how many people watch Gilmore Girls.
A
Oh, it was like a cult following.
B
It is still a cult following. And I have some bones to pick. I'm. And so I'm on season four, I think. Yeah. Lor, Rory just went to Yale. That's a giveaway. And this all is going to be a giveaway. So if you don't want to sport. If you're g. Anyway, I'm on season four. Okay, here we go. I am so sick and tired. I hate Jess from Gilmore Girls. I hate him so much.
A
Oh, it's a man.
B
Yes. I wanna. I wanna say what I wanna say. And this has nothing to do with any. Anyone else except me and watching Gilmore Girls. Okay, I'm tired.
A
Tomato.
B
Okay, so this character, I hate him with, like, everything in my body. And people love him. Like, they are, like, obsessed with him. That's their, like, teenage crush. This man, this boy is awful. He's like an awful person. Makes awful decisions, doesn't care about anyone by himself, treats people poorly. And, like, people are in my DMs, like, no way. Like, just forever. And I continue watching, and then this man, this boy, makes Rory cry for not having sex with him. And I said, what are people? Because I guess he gets better. Like, they're like, in the further episodes. But, like, I don't forgive him. I don't care of his character growth. I don't care if his character, like, sure, hopefully he grew into a better person. And then everyone's like, rory, get. I'm like, yeah, Rory's probably traumatized from a toxic relationship, and that's why she goes down a bad path because she went through it with him.
A
So. Okay, but. So hold on. Let me stop you right there, because I genuinely have no idea what the you're talking about. And so. But everything that you've just said. Could I just give you a little perspective? Like, in real life, you would want someone to give you grace and you grow as a person, and you don't always make good decisions, and it's not fair to hold to always. Some situations are different. But, like, it's not fair to always hold somebody to their past and you know that they've done in their past, that makes them horrible. Because some people can do better.
B
Fine. Kale. This is.
A
And that's just me speaking without knowing what the.
B
Fine. And maybe eventually I'll like him as an adult, but I'll never forgive him for the things he did. Like, to Rory. Like, I can't. I'm watching this, and I'm like, he's, like, giving her the silent treatment. And, like, not expl. Like, and making her just go crazy sitting on a couch waiting for him to call, never calling. And it's like.
A
Well, I will say that the silent treatment is a form of abuse.
B
That's his whole. Their entire relationship is abuse. Like, watching it as, like, a teenager in your younger years, I can see how, like, people draw to different characters. But watching it as, like, adult, it's, like, really hard to watch.
A
How many seasons are there?
B
Seven.
A
Okay. So I probably could watch that at some point. So maybe I'll.
B
Sorry if you've never watched Gilmore Girls. I also don't like. Dean was really annoying as a boyfriend, too. Like, controlling and, like, a little bit manipulative. And, like, I didn't like him either. So I. All the boys besides, I. Stan Kirk. So Luke is also a little bit of, like, he has his own poor qualities. Kirk. Kirk is nice. Kirk is mentally ill. Big.
A
I don't. I'm just like, ping pong, ping, ping ponging my eyeballs everywhere because I wanted.
B
Me to talk about it.
A
So I'm not.
B
Yeah, I'm not.
A
No, no. I don't care.
B
I'm just doing it out of. But I am. Me and Bex watch it. That's like, our thing. He, like, dances every time the. How cute is this? I was like, I started crying. Surprise, surprise. And because the theme song came on, and I started thinking, like, how cute would it be for that to be our mother son dance at his wedding?
A
Because y', all, like, grew up watching that.
B
Yeah. And it's, like, very relative to, like.
A
Yeah, to that. Yeah, that would be really cute. It's really cute.
B
Speaking about crying, I sent the video of my crying wrap to my therapist.
A
What did she say? What did she say?
B
Let me. She texted me.
A
That's amazing. Was she concerned?
B
I cried 533 times last year. She said, amazing. I especially love the attention to detail, too, with your shirt. Let's see if 2026 can turn itself around in a positive way.
A
Truly. But I like that you gave her context with, like, if it was a happy cry. Or a sad cry, because that does.
B
Like, I went through the presentation with her during our therapy session.
A
What did she say?
B
She was. It was fun. It was a good. It was good. It was a really good Saba Fi raps. We didn't talk about it.
A
Honestly, like, you could be channeling energy like that into negative things, but, like, you're like, oh, let me make a spreadsheet, you know, Like, I love that. I genuinely love that I said I.
B
Wasn'T going to do it this year.
A
But I am also speaking of, like, things like the presentation, I started putting pitch decks together on Canva. I'm not a tech savvy girly, so this is a big deal for me. And here goes Lincoln talking about, can I, mom, can you upgrade so I can use Canva Pro? Like, he's making all these things. He said that he wanted to do a project on Canva for Black History Month. And so there's like a list, there's a challenge with Canva for Black History Month for a project, and he said to me, I want to do it on this person. Do you think you could send them the presentation when I'm done? And I'm like, I'll. I'll send it. Like, no, no, hold on, hold on. I know what you're about to say.
B
Yeah. I'm like, is they. Are they alive?
A
So the original list. They're dead.
B
Okay.
A
They're dead. So then he was like, well, could I do another one then for someone alive? And would you send it to them? And so I was like, yeah, I can try. I don't know that they'll respond. But, like, I do my best. But I had the same exact reaction as you because I was like, how do you tell someone that they're, like, dead. They're dead. Like, it was Jackie Robinson. It was Jackie. Yeah. So that was like the. He wanted to do Jackie Robinson.
B
And I was like, has he seen the movie?
A
I don't think so. So I want to put that on my list for this weekend. And then I said that, you know, yeah, if you make a different one for someone's alive, I will. I will try to get it to them. I don't know that they're going to respond, but I will do my best.
B
Make sure. In that he puts, like, encourage him to put how, like, their story impacted him. Right. Like, someone doesn't need a presentation on themselves to learn about their history. But, like, how it, like, how it.
A
Impacted him, what he learned. Absolutely. I think. Well, I think that is what the.
B
Like, the whole premise of I don't.
A
Know for sure, but that's what I think it was. But it was just so cute because.
B
That is really cute.
A
Yeah.
B
And he loves such good kids.
A
Him and Elliot. They battle with cap cut. So they make like edits and then they send them in our family group chat and they'll say like, rate them. Like, whose is better? And I'm like, this is actually a really cool skill to have. Like, that is what, like a technology class would be cool for something like that. Because that cap cut canva, like those are tools they will use in real life for sure. So, like, I'm just so proud because I. I'm just figuring out canva now.
B
Yeah.
A
And I'm 33. Becky, have you ever done an GOP one?
B
I'm currently on a GLP one and quite honestly, it is just like that little push that I need to get over that hump. Right. It helps with cravings. I'm jealous of your family. Group chat.
A
Yeah, we have like a safety code for like, if they're in danger, send this to the group chat. Yeah, we make jokes in there. They. We put all kinds of stuff in there. They were freaking out this morning. I come out of the bathroom. Me and Creed are talking, having whatever, and all of a sudden. So Creed goes out first. I'm getting ready to get dressed real quick. And all of a sudden I HEAR Elliot's on YouTube. Elliot's on YouTube. And I come out and he's doing sign language on the stage. And they're freaking out like he's on. Like, they've. As if we weren't on TV for 13 years. And they're like, Elliot's on YouTube. And I'm like, I just support each.
B
Other so much too.
A
I hope that continues. Although Lux and Creed have the biggest sibling rivalry that I've ever seen in my whole life, I think that's fair.
B
Me and my sister hated each other until we were 18.
A
Why?
B
We were just different people. And. And like, I guess it just like that's what it did. I don't know. Yeah, we hate like, we used to, like, fist fight.
A
They sat here on this couch yesterday and told me that I, I have to stop breaking up fights. They said, yeah, they said she'll just.
B
Let them do until someone, like, bled.
A
That's What Lux said. Did Lux not. Lux was like, just let us go until. Until one of us bleeds. And I'm like.
B
Like, I don't think that's the proper way to do it.
A
It's not.
B
But it's absolutely what my childhood was like with my sister.
A
Yeah. I can't. And even my brother, I try to pull them apart before injuries occur.
B
Yeah.
A
Fair. Put the block. Put the boxing gloves on.
B
Yeah.
A
And they do.
B
I know.
A
And one of them. Which one said yesterday, one of them was like, rio can fight. Like, real. We them up.
B
And verse was fighting too. Oh, Verse love, like, real, like, was like, do you want to. Do you want a box? Verse?
A
You want to fight? Yeah.
B
You want to fight?
A
Yeah. I'm like, I can't do that. But it's, like, friendly. The toddlers is friendly, but Rio. Because the big kids will let Rio go in on him.
B
D1.
A
Oh, here comes D1. Because it's.
B
He's thick.
A
Thick boy.
B
Yeah. He's, like, not, like. He's like, thick boy. Yeah. I feel like that's how Bex is gonna be. Yeah.
A
Oh, yeah.
B
Yeah. So that's just solid. Yeah.
A
So, yeah. I have other topics, if you don't mind. Unless you have some.
B
I definitely have some.
A
Okay. One other thing that Lincoln's. But I won't. I'll stop talking about my kids in a second. One other thing that Lincoln's been really proud of lately is that he remembers a lot of flags to countries that, like, I don't understand how and why. And so he explained to me that because he's a huge soccer fan, he has now associated teams with countries flags. And so we did part one, part two, and part three of the flag challenge, where he got in all three scenarios. I think he only got one wrong because. Specifically because that team didn't have, like, a soccer team or something.
B
Yeah.
A
And so I printed the flags out yesterday, did them with him, but now I'm gonna see if you can name the flag.
B
You're gonna have to cut this.
A
Nope.
B
But continue. I mean, I'm not gonna get any of them.
A
You might.
B
I see the first one. I have no clue.
A
Do you want me to give you a hint?
B
Yeah.
A
Okay. Is Venezuela. Venezuela is like South America.
B
It's not.
A
Oh, wow. Are we, like, a hero? I don't think 20 milligrams is working either. Adderall. Here we go.
B
And, like, I also like that it's like, South America. Like, there's, like. I don't Cheatering place. It could Be. See, did you see me take a second?
A
Like, I. Like, my brain stuttered because I was like. Did she literally just say no?
B
Because I was like. Did you just say the answer?
A
Is it south or is it central? Because I think it's south. Like, I think it's still.
B
I thought you meant, like, what con. Continue. I don't know any of these. But just when you give me a hint, just give me the. The first letter of the country or something.
A
South America. Okay. I was right.
B
Yeah, I know. It is in South America.
A
Okay. It's an island in the Caribbean. This is the only one Lincoln didn't get. You know this one.
B
I. This makes me feel really dumb.
A
Yeah, you should.
B
What does it start with? I. I know this. It starts with an I.
A
It's a country that starts with an I.
B
In Asia. Indonesia.
A
Yes. You better know this one.
B
I'd, like, really, really, really feel uncomfortable now.
A
The craziest part is that Lincoln can associate no. Close well, like, with the letter.
B
It starts with the S. Yeah. I don't know.
A
And it is in Europe.
B
No, it's not.
A
That's what I thought she was going to say. So anyways, Lincoln will get really. So, like, if he. If he's, like, stumped a little bit. Yeah. And he'll look at a flag and he'll be like, that's an Asian country. Or like, that's like he. He picks up on, like, similarities of them. And so that's in Scotland.
B
Oh.
A
So like, this one he knew was in Asia. He knew it because he said that, like, certain countries have certain similarities for what continent they're on. And I thought that was really cool that he was able to figure that because, like, that's something that he must have figured out himself.
B
I don't know any of this. Non. I don't know what that is.
A
Vietnam, you know this one. Brazil, you might know this one.
B
Initial thought is Jamaica.
A
But Jamaica doesn't have same colors, different country.
B
Don't know Ghana. Why would I know Ghana?
A
Will you watch soccer? No, I don't. Or you played soccer for America.
B
I did live in Barcelona, so I.
A
Thought maybe you'd be more like travel.
B
Does that make you feel better about yourself that I didn't know those.
A
I didn't know any of them. So what the. Why would that make me feel better about myself? I didn't know a single one. A single one. You have to clarify that you need.
B
To just fart because that straw just made this fart.
A
Oh, that was the straw I did not fart at all. Yeah. I didn't know a single one of these at all. So no, it doesn't make me feel better about myself.
B
Glad we did that.
A
I can't stand you.
B
So good news, everyone. Noah Khan is coming out with a new album, love. He's going on tour.
A
I only know one song of his.
B
You know, I think you know more.
A
Summer of the Sticks.
B
Yep. Yeah.
A
Do you remember? Yeah.
B
What? Remember what?
A
When you guys are singing it.
B
That's not the name of the song.
A
Oh, what is it? What is it? What is it?
B
Stick season.
A
Oh, you know what I mean.
B
Season of the sticks.
A
Season of the sticks. I was close. What did I say?
B
Summer of the sticks. It doesn't even make sense. Like fall of the sticks.
A
What makes it.
B
Where do sticks come from?
A
The woods.
B
Yeah. Like what are in the woods?
A
Animals?
B
A tree. A tree.
A
Oh, yeah.
B
Anyway, couple things apparently. Are you're not.
A
We're the only ones laughing because I'm like, we're trying to get to the.
B
Bottom of stick season.
A
You said animals are.
B
Do you like Harry Styles? Are you like a. I don't know anything. They call them. She doesn't know anything. Okay.
A
So I literally have no idea who he is.
B
Harry Styles is also going on tour. New album coming out, love. But apparently people are really upset about his ticket prices. Like the cheapest ticket price is like 800 or something. So I say this all to say Noah Khan is going on tour also, but he is not allowing for resale of his tickets above face value on Ticketmaster. He is going through like. Like there's a bunch of robot precautions to buy his tickets too. Up for sale.
A
Another artist did that. I want to say Billie Eilish.
B
Is he independent? I don't know.
A
Probably not. Not somebody that curious to see who.
B
He was signed with. I think he's Jewish.
A
What? Wait, but is he Jewish? I think so. Wait, I feel like Billie Eilish also did that.
B
Yeah. Anyway, if I don't get tickets for Noah Con, can someone take me with them And Leah.
A
So when do they go on sale?
B
I signed up for pre sale. I don't know when they go on sale. I think in maybe two weeks.
A
Okay, well I'll keep my eye out if I can.
B
Yeah.
A
Because I've. I've gone to concerts where I did the pre sale situation and you have to enter a queue to get the pre sale and you wait in line and then I forget. I want to say, was Billie Eilish. When I bought Elliot the Billie Eilish tickets and you could go to check out and now they're sold. Now you got to go back to the drawing board. And so I say all that to say I will try to get you tickets also in case you. In case that happens.
B
So my three places that I looked for tickets were that I signed up for pre sale was I think it's Citi Field in New York, Philly, and then Denver because I always love a reason to go to Denver. But Lee and I were also considering he plays in Seattle, Washington in August. And using that as a part of.
A
Our what day though, because don't forget, we're going to London August 30th. Oh, we'll be back. Okay, so let's talk about O Positive really quick. Oh, Positive is a women's health company and they offer a range of symptom targeting supplements that support women's health at every stage of life. I'm talking about from their first period to well beyond their last. And they're proud because they have the best selling women's health products at Target and on Amazon. I've already talked to you guys about the cheating scandals I've been involved with and I never want my ph to be thrown off again. So definitely get the Euro vaginal probiotics. You could take it twice daily. Euro delivers noticeable benefits within eight weeks, so you may even see the results sooner than that. And so many customers talk about the improvement in their vaginal health that led to greater confidence as well as better sex and intimacy. And you guys can take proactive care of your own health and head to oh positive.com karma or enter karma at checkout for 25 off your first purchase. That's opositiv.com karma for 25% off.
B
Anyway. Yeah. So we stand Noah Khan in this house and podcast. We love him.
A
I so fully support you.
B
Thank you. Do you want to go?
A
Go where? What?
B
The. The pills aren't pilling.
A
No, they're not.
B
Do you want to go to the concert?
A
Yeah, I do go there. It's crazy.
B
Yeah, that was. That was wild.
A
I also am confused by signing up for pre sale for venues because I thought you go on their website. The way, the way that I always signed up for pre sale was like through the artist website. They're all different. Oh, okay. I didn't know that. So. Yeah, that's, that's, that's exciting. I'm excited for you and I'll go if you, if you get tickets?
B
Yeah.
A
Okay, cool. I always buy concert tickets in numbers of four. I don't know why I do that.
B
What's the max? You can buy six every artist.
A
I think everything is different because I also tried to get like a box. This is not a concert, but like an event sort of how we did the box for the hockey game. I tried to do one for basketball game. I wanted to get like a box for a basketball game and they wouldn't let me buy 10 tickets. And I'm like, but I'm trying to get the box. And so to make the box worth it, we need the 10 tickets so that I everyone can go.
B
Does that make it like us, like.
A
A rep to help me?
B
Yeah.
A
Not because I want special treatment, but just because I don't know what the I'm doing.
B
So many people.
A
Yeah, well, I have seven kids alone, so like if I wanted to take my kids to like we were looking at a basketball game cuz I wanted to watch one of the ball brothers or both of the ball bro ball brothers play. And so I wanted to get a box for that because of the whole Rod wave situation that happened with Lincoln's tickets. And so I wanted to go get but it wouldn't even let me. So even if I didn't get a box, I couldn't buy 10 tickets. But I mean we're talking me, Ike, Elliot, Lincoln, Lux, Creed. And then a couple of my friends wanted to go. Kelsey wanted to go, my friend Tiffany wanted to go. Tiffany want to bring her son. And I could not get 10 tickets for a basketball game next to each other or in a box actually. That brings us to a good transition point.
B
Oh, does it?
A
Yeah, it does. Because I wanted to bring up your financial thing that you're doing with your sister. So before I say that, when I met with my financial advisor for the very first time ever, just follow the bouncing ball. I didn't have credit cards. And he was saying to me to get, find out what your goals are with your money. He's like, you're, you're spending big money on things that you could put on a credit card and then get the points. And you're traveling a lot. You can get a credit card that has travel rewards, you can get a credit card that has cash back rewards. Whatever your financial goals are, you should tailor your credit card to that. Right. And I had no idea at the time. I was so scared to go into debt, I didn't know how I. Everyone always spoke poorly of credit cards because nobody around me had financial Literacy. So he tells me, you know, you're traveling a lot at that time still a little bit, and you could use this for flights, for hotels. And I had no idea that that was a thing. So I say all that to say that if you are looking for financial literacy, if you're looking for ways to improve your financial health, your credit, whatever that looks like. Becky and her sister are about to do a financial series on for the haters. This is free information for you guys to help you. It's on for the haters. It'll air on Thursdays. And your sister is. Is she a financial advisor?
B
She's a financial coach.
A
Okay. So Becky's sister Alex is a financial coach. And so they're going to work on a little series to help you guys sort of get a grasp on things if you're not in a position to get a financial advisor yet. And you want to talk about, like, what. The premise of the series.
B
Yeah. So we actually. We're launching this week.
A
Oh, oh. So it's even sooner than when this comes out.
B
It'll be that, like, next.
A
Perfect.
B
Yeah. Yeah. So it's launching this week. Every other Thursday, we will drop an episode. We have, like, the first, like, 10 episodes technically, like, not recorded but planned out. But we are willing to do audibles, like, based on some feedback, because I think that people will give feedback of, like, topics that they want to hear.
A
About or even just questions.
B
Yeah. Scenarios that you're in. Like, submit your scenarios and we can walk through it. And Alex will give, like, the advice that she would give as your first step of, like, what you should be doing. But the thing that's cool about this is, like, I am clueless. Well, I'm not as clueless as I used to be, but I am not a financial person. I don't make good financial decisions. I've had over $100,000 in debt that I've, like, had to dig yourself, myself out of. And so it's a really great balance between the two of us where, like, you know, she's very cut and dry, Will not, like, is very frugal with her money. So it's like finding that middle balance of, like, what. How can we take control and, like, build this, you know, financial understanding so that everyone else can succeed? So it's really for everyday people. Right. Like, it's not. We're not talking about investments and, like, we will eventually talk about it, but we're starting from square one. Like, looking at your fight, like, how do I analyze my finances and even start to take control of them.
A
Rebecca and I also just had a meeting with my financial advisor not too long, like a week ago. Like a week ago. And I'm. This is not an ad. What I'm about to say is not an ad. He, he literally said to get Rocket Money, like we start with an app and there's other ones, like if you're not interested.
B
Rocket Money has a free version.
A
Rocket Money has a free version. I've also used Rocket Money over the years.
B
And so isn't Rocket Money a sponsor too?
A
But, but what I'm saying is, I'm not saying this because we're sponsored. Do you know what I'm saying? Like, I'm genuine. Like, right hand to God, I swear on all my K. He literally said, like, Rocket Money is a great place to start for stuff like that. I just don't want people to think that I'm pushing it because we're sponsored. Like, that's genuine. Genuinely what he said. My financial adviser's name is Chris and Mr. Smith. And so he, he said Rocket Money was a great place to start. There was another one that he talked about, Quicken.
B
Yeah, we, we just recorded our second episode around budgeting and, and you can.
A
Budget through Rocket Money too. But it also helps with just understanding, tracking your spending, what you're spending. See like levels. Like if you create a, like a food budget for like eating out, you can see where. Oh my God, I overspent on food. Because you don't realize you're just swiping the card. You don't realize. And so that's why he was saying to see where I was spending some of my personal spending.
B
Yeah. Just because, like, when you can understand it and like you're seeing it actually in your face, it like makes you more conscious of.
A
Yeah.
B
And we talk in this, in the second episode, we. Because the first episode was just talking about what to expect expect from the podcast or from that series. And it's like taking a 10 second rule of like taking a breath before you actually buy. And like, like, do I need this? Can it wait?
A
Like to that point, Lindsay and I have talked about on coffee combos, she. There was a time probably a year or two ago where I was just not overspending really, but like, just like I was getting packages from Amazon all the time. And Lindsay was like, no, it was so bad. It was like every day because it was like, oh, I need it. Amazon. Why it can wait until the end of the week. So Lindsay was like, you should add things to your cart. But don't check out. And then pick a day of the week, whether it's a random, you know, Wednesday, or you want to wait until the end of the week and then go through your car and decide what you still need and what you don't. And I will tell you that I made. That has made a world of a difference. Like, just not clicking checkout every single time. And I don't get Amazon packages daily, let alone weekly at this point. Like, I have completely small habit changes.
B
But it's also learning. Like, you can't, you can't do what you don't know.
A
You have to, like, know what you're doing to be able to fix it.
B
Yeah, it's. And it's just like. And it's not becoming like a financial expert. It's like just literally giving yourself tools of like, hey, what do, like, how do I even create or start a budget? Like, what does that even mean?
A
That's why I, I literally have no clue to how to. How do you decide what you're allotting to certain.
B
Come on over to wallet therapy, because.
A
I love that name, by the way. And you should also do some version of it for T Talk specifically because I feel like you'll have, you'll get. And you'll touch.
B
Yeah, I'm gonna, I'll do clips from the.
A
But like, when Rebecca sat me down in September, we were. She like, did these crazy graphs and like, was telling me, like, okay, your eating out budget was not that great. Like. Or like, it wasn't horrible. But I'm like, how do you know what's horrible and what's not? How can you determine what you're gonna spend on eating out? And how do you determine how you're. How much you're gonna put towards credit card or how much? How do you decide those things? I know, but like, how do you land on that number?
B
Start with your income. Right? You start with. And we, we literally just. Okay, like. But like, you start with what's coming in and then you take that money and you bucket in. And then we talk about the three different buckets that there are that you allot to. Right? And like, for us, we're not. Like, some people have a savings bucket, some people don't. Like, that's not.
A
But the goal is to eventually have one.
B
Yeah, that's what you're leading up to. But again, like, yeah, we talk about it in next week's episode. We start with budgeting. So.
A
Okay, that's really interesting to me because I don't Ever.
B
We're also. I'm starting a Patreon next week.
A
That's so exciting.
B
Yeah.
A
So Becky's starting a Patreon, I'm starting.
B
A Patreon, which is like, a huge step for me because I have a lot of, like, shame and guilt of, like, I don't think that I can bring enough value to like, people. People for them to, like, pay for my time. Right. Because I'm not putting, like, really content. I'm not putting videos that people want to see. And so I'm trying to justify, like, what this. What this community is.
A
All right, now we're going to talk about Tonal. So going to the gym can be discouraging, especially if you're like me and it's 20 minutes away and I'm definitely not going right. So workouts are often the first thing that I'm not doing. And Tonal provides the convenience of a full gym and the guidance of a personal trainer anytime at home with one sleek system. If you're looking to work out and you want to do it at home, this is a great option for you. It's designed to reduce your mental load. B
No more second guessing your form. Tonal gives you real time coaching cues to dial in your form and help you lift safely and effectively. After a quick assessment, Tonal sets the optimal weight for every move and adjust 1 pound increments as you get stronger so you're always challenged.
A
Right now, tonal is offering our listeners 200 off your Tonal purchase with promo code Karma. That's Tonal.com and use promo code Karma for 200 off your purchase. That's Tonal.com promo code Karma for 200 off.
B
I'm doing it in two different ways. I'm doing it in a. In a life support way, like almost like a life coach of like creating a community that people have access to me and doing lives once a month to just like, build friendships with people, build communities with people to help people feel less alone. Like, from. For the haters, right? Talk about the. The things that we learned from the stories that we went through. So there's that side of the Patreon and it's connected to Discord. We're doing Discord.
A
What is Discord?
B
Discord's like a like, use telegram for. But Discord allows for, like, different channels and like, different.
A
The kids were talking about it and I didn't know how.
B
Discord is like a group Chat. Like, it's a group chat, but like you, it's just set up a little differently than Telegram.
A
Got it.
B
So that's what we're using as, like, to, like, create channels of like, like, maybe topics, maybe.
A
I was thinking of Twitch.
B
Yeah, it's. That's streaming. Yeah.
A
Okay. That's different.
B
It's different.
A
I thought. Okay, I. I don't know what's what.
B
And so that is the one tier of it, and then the second tier of it is that wallet therapy. So my sister and I are going to do a live. Live, like, community thing every month of speaking through and answering questions for people and having chats, like, where people can ask my sister questions.
A
Okay.
B
About finance. Like, finance. So having access to both of us, basically having a financial coach in your pocket of, like, like asking questions. And then eventually it's a community aspect of people being able to answer questions, like, interchangeably. But I'm doing it in, like, a tiered way. Right. Like, you can either have both of them or like, one of them or a bundle of. Of both.
A
Okay.
B
Access to both.
A
So I love that. I think that's a great idea. I think that you're gonna help a lot of freaking people. And I wish I had access to that before, like, when I started all of this, because it's hard.
B
Yeah.
A
I don't know what the.
B
Is going on, so I'm excited. I'm nervous.
A
Don't be nervous.
B
Like, I had. I asked a couple people to be like, community managers in it to help just, like, kind of navigate that. We'll put on the Patreon. Like, in the budgeting episode, Alex talked about, like, some spreadsheets that she has available if you're not. If you're looking to do it that way where, like, that's, like, those resources are going to become available on the Patreon.
A
Also, if you guys are listening to this and you haven't gone to. For the haters, if you guys don't mind, you guys could go over there and literally ask a question in the reviews on Apple or Spotify. Go to the reviews and leave your questions because then we're guaranteed to see it. So if that's something, if you have a financial question, leave it in the reviews for her. Well, I'm. I'm excited for this. I'm ready to hear about the series. And so that will be an additional episode to your Mondays. Or is it just.
B
It's every other Thursday, so it's two episodes extra a month.
A
Okay. So you'll do your regular Monday drops and then the financial literacy, the wallet therapy one every other Thursday.
B
Yep, yep, love.
A
So go over to. For the haters on Spotify and Apple, wherever you get your podcast. And then she'll put her Patreon in the description and we'll also post about it on killer network Instagram.
B
Yeah, yeah, yeah. I also had a interesting conversation with someone yesterday.
A
Who.
B
So why are you worried? That was like a who.
A
I never know what you are going to tell me. So I. The anxiety.
B
So to keep on just this track of just. I just want to talk about for the haters for a little bit more recently, there's just been stars really aligning. I just had an interview with someone. It was a great interview. And after she's like, how can I support you to grow this? Like, I want to give you my time. And I'm like, I can't take your time because that makes me really uncomfortable. I was. Because I was like, I don't have, like, I don't have money to pay you for this. And she was like, I just want, like, I want to help and I want to. So that's where I came up with that community manager idea to like, get, like, give some people some. So really thankful because she's like, I love what you're doing. I believe in this. Blah, blah. Which is just like, cool. Like, cool to hear. And then like a day later, I received an email from someone. Hey, would really love to meet with you. I have a lot of feedback that I think could help grow your podcast. And I was like, whoa, what the hell's going on here? So I met with her and she is a producer at a radio station and has worked on podcasts before and is giving me all this feedback. She's like, I believe in you as an interviewer and I believe in you as, like, what you're doing. And I. And like, I'd love to just give you some feedback. And we're. I'm on like, face like a zoom call with her and she's. So she's giving me this feedback and then goes into this, like, I see for the haters becoming a little bit more of like a narration. Like, because you have people that aren't comfortable telling their stories yet, but like, so you can add narration throughout it to sum up things that feel a little bit too long. And she. And I was like, that, like, sounds fantastic, but I don't have time to spend on like, being that much, like more in the editing field. And she was like, well, like, let me help you. Let's work on an episode together to see if that even. Even it feels right, like, fits for what you're doing. She's like, you. She's like. I'm like, I have a love and passion for audio. She loves, like, just. I don't know who's creating, like, yesterday, like, using music, using sounds, like, creating more of a story in that way. Like, you're almost listening to an audiobook.
A
Well, I was thinking about. We recently watched a YouTube video where the ho, like, the guy try to follow the bouncy ball. The. The guy goes to a country in Africa, and he's, like, letting the people tell the story, but then in certain points, he's talking about it himself. And so that. That's the first thing that came to mind because he also is talking over the video for, like, he's showing certain things, but maybe the audio wasn't right or maybe like, whatever. And so then he narrates through it. And I thought that was really cool because I want to know what he's showing, but obviously there wasn't something that was, like, being said. You know what I'm saying? So, like, that was the. Thank you was the first thing that came to mind. So I think that's a really great idea.
B
Yeah.
A
Just to try it. And then you might realize it's easier than you thought, or you might get in the. In the rhythm of things where it's easier than you thought.
B
Exactly. But it was just, like, another person in the same week that was like, I believe this. Like, let me help you. And that's really hard for me to take help because, like, I. But I've done that my whole life. Like, I've given my help to my friends or, like, anyone starting a business. I'll build a website for you for free. Not you've helped me, but, like. And freely. Like, I've never wanted people to feel like me giving my time to people I care about or people I believe in was something that I need to be compensated for. So it's just like, a very surreal feeling for me right now of, like, it. It. Like, it feels like I'm hitting that place where potentially this is that, like, turning point for me.
A
Yeah.
B
So.
A
Well, I'm really proud of you. That's exciting.
B
Thanks.
A
Yeah.
B
So I'm excited, so.
A
Good. I'm glad.
B
We'll see what happens, and we'll see where this goes and always open to feedback.
A
Yeah, no, that's great. That's a great place to be.
B
And I'm gonna try to add Some more like, just topics where it's not, like, so heavy. I'm like. And so if you have, like, unique jobs. Not unique jobs, but like a story built into your life, like, where. If it's brought you to places that you didn't think it could bring you.
A
There's a couple people I would like to see on for the Haters. Yeah, Alessandra, did you do an episode yet?
B
No.
A
I think you should.
B
We're gonna do that crossover.
A
Yeah. So while we're on the topic.
B
While we're on the topic.
A
While we're on the topic, I. I have reached out to everybody on Killer Network, and I just feel like we're overdue for a big crossover. And because literally half of our people are in New Jersey, that's what we're sort of hoping to do, is to go and go to New Jersey and do some big, like, a big crossover. We have. If you guys don't know this, we have bad examples, which is Tracy and Jessica. They were formerly on Jerseylicious, and so they have a podcast and Juicy Licious. They are. They are in New Jersey. Becky's in New Jersey. Alessandra is in New Jersey. So I feel like. Because that is where most of you guys are that makes the most sense and do, like, a big crossover. And Alessandra has a really. I don't think interesting is the really relatable story. So I would love to see her on for the Haters. I have not been on for the Haters. I feel like everyone knows my story at this point, but there are some things maybe I could say that you guys don't know yet. I don't know. I think Tracy and Jessica go on your show for sure. So there's just so many things that we could do with it. And Kate and Ty went on your show already or no. Huh?
B
I know, know. I know, I know. I just, like, I think that we need to hire, like, a film crew for that weekend.
A
And Chandler.
B
Yeah, that is actually what came to my mind. And do, like, a mini reality, like, style show. You could put that on your patreon of just, like, doing some, like, a series just from that weekend and filming it. Like a reality show. I think that would be so good.
A
All right, karmarus, we're gonna do. Is it karma or is it chaos? Do you sound effects or you leave hers? I leave hers.
B
But sometimes that sound effects depends.
A
Hello? Hello, Karmaruze. So I have a best friend of about 15 years. As a child, I was an. To say the least, when my friend Has a nine year old daughter. Every time we hang out, her daughter whines and gets her way. It's to the point where I sort of backed off hanging out with my best friend. Wow. I also experienced that her, her daughter always has my best friend's phone and even goes through our texts and whenever and whatever else is on her phone. Her daughter doesn't respect my boundaries at my home and when I tell her and my own kids the word no, she throws a fit and tells her mom I'm mean to her. Well, I recently got a brand new car and I said no drinks in it besides water. Well, she got her way and had hot chocolate in my car after sledding. We all know how this goes. I don't know what happened but it exploded and went everywhere. I get accidents happen, but I said no from the get go. I told her this wouldn't have happened if she listened to my rules. A few days passed and I let it go and moved on from the incident. But I facetime my friend and the phone hung up. Later. Later on my friend asked was I mean to her daughter. I said no. I called your phone and got hung up on her daughter lied and said I told her why does she have her panties in a bunch? She straight lied to my best friend and I said I would never say something like that to your daughter. But she of course believes her daughter. I even told my best friend she doesn't respect my boundaries when we hang out and her daughter doesn't like the word no. The whole conversation was basically my friend. I have chills. The whole conversation was basically my friend defending her daughter and it just went south. If her daughter lies about something so little, who knows what else to lie about in the future. Now I completely, now I completely just want to distance myself. Hanging out with her when her daughter is around because her daughter runs her. Is it karma because I was an as a kid or is it just chaos?
B
I don't think it's karma. I think it's just chaos. I, I do think this sparks like a really interesting conversation though of like, you know, how we all grow as people, we all become different people and then like we either grow apart or grow together. And I think becoming a parent shows a different side of someone that you never would have seen before and that will like make or break a relationship.
A
I mean I have, I've experienced something like this with friends. Like I have been there and it's so hard because you love this person and you do love the kids, but sometimes it's like, there has to be boundaries, you know? And, and I'm not saying that this exact situation happened to me, but just, like, wanting to put boundaries down and they're not your kids, but, like, you want to keep the friendship. It's hard.
B
Yeah. Yeah. I, I don't know if I could stay friends with someone who I didn't think was a good parent.
A
Do you think that that woman was not a great parent if her daughter was doing that?
B
Like, I, I. Not that you're. They're a bad parent because you don't know everything that someone's going through or, like, situationally, but, like, I, I, like a, A kid that's a dick is just, like, a lot. Right? Like, and if it's not in a situation where I feel like I, if it's my best friend, I should be able to reprimand your kid and not face consequences. Consequences from it.
A
Last night, Kelsey was at the house, and something happened. And Kelsey looked at Lux and said what she said. And I looked at her. I said, thank you. Because, yeah, it was just what he didn't, it wasn't anything bad, but it was just the way that he said something. And I said, lux, don't talk to me like that. And, and then she looked at him. He did it again, and she looked at him and she said something to him. And I said, thank you. Like, I want my kids, I want my friends to correct my kids, especially if I'm not there. Obviously there are boundaries within that for sure, but, like, like, you're not going to disrespect me.
B
And my friends told my, like, best friend no and, like, was rude to them. Like, that's not, that's not who I want to be raising. But I also. It's so hard because I don't know what it's like to raise a, a kid yet. And, like, I've learned so much becoming a parent and, like, not judging other parents, but, like, I, and I just think it's a healthy boundary that you can put right. Like, it's, it's not like, it's just okay that you grow apart. It's okay that, like, you are at different places, you're raising your kids differently. It's okay to go separate ways. I think it's more like focusing on that than it is carrying the weight of, like, being mad or being, like, holding, like, hatred. Like, just let it. Like, some friendships aren't meant to be.
A
Throughout every season, Elijah and I just had this conversation not too long ago. I have a hard time with, like, especially the babies. Like, I don't like to hear them cry, and, like, I don't want them to be upset. And so, like, I'm the pushover.
B
Yeah.
A
And he's the one that him pop up and tata. Literally, when they say jump, those babies say, how high? You know what I mean? So I had. I had texted Elijah about something, and it came up about that sort of situation. And he kind of said something along the lines of, like, that's why they want you all the time. And I said, but they respect you. They don't respect me. The babies don't respect me because they know they can cry a little bit. And I'm not. I'm like, they don't have to go to bed yet. Like, they don't just give them the snack. Like, you know, like, I just don't. I hate it. And. But, like. And I hate being that way, too, because I'm like, okay. Ultimately think when they're older, this is going to bite me in the ass.
B
Were you like that with your other kids? I don't remember.
A
Lux and Creed. Yes.
B
Do you think it's because, you know, they're your last? Well.
A
I don't like. And I've had conversations with this. Like, this with Elliot because Elliot's like, mom. Like, he corrects me. Because Elliot and Lincoln were raised to an entirely different standard. Yeah. Lincoln and Elliot are so respectful.
B
So.
A
Just, like, they just know. Like, I've never. I don't know how to describe it. And then Elliot and Lincoln, I was a different parent for them. I was way more structured. I was way more like, this is what I say, and this is what's going to happen. Lux and Creed. No. But for me, I think that I have changed my parenting based on who their father is.
B
Yeah.
A
No, I think at the time, my parenting was more similar to Joe and Javi at the time that I was raising Elliot and Lincoln. So we were more on the same page with how we handle things. Structures, discipline, whatever. And I don't mean that we're disciplining the same or reprimanding. Reprimanding the same. But we would. We would discipline to similar actions, if that makes sense, for the same reason. So we might do it differently. But this is the reason why you would be disciplined over here, and that same reason might be why you're disciplined over here, not getting punished twice. Just to clarify, where Chris and I do not have share any single one of the same disciplining structures, reasons, anything, we also run entirely different households. Right. Like, I know that when Elliot and Lincoln go to their dads, they're not spending all hours of the day on the game. Right? So when they come to my house, they're not spending all hours on the game. Lux and Creed is different, and I'm only using that because it's an example at the top of my head. Lux and Creed have unlimited game time at Chris's house. At my house, they don't. They don't have PlayStation or anything. So the behaviors are different, and so then the parenting is different. So then that brings me to Elijah, because now I'm the more lenient parent with Elijah. Eliza, Elijah is very like, this is what it is. This is what we're doing. Whatever. And so. And I texted him back and I said, no, I literally need to fix this. Like, they respect you. They're not going to grow up to respect me if I continue doing what I'm doing because I'm giving them too much leniency or, like, too much leeway to, like, dictate my parenting, where, like, Elijah is, like, structured. This is what it is. And I really do appreciate that about him, and I appreciate that about Joe and Javi as far as, like, expecting certain things. So it is. It's all. Parenting is hard, but when you let your kids walk all over you, tell you no, now they're getting hot chocolate in a brand new car. Like, that's a parenting situation. That's not even a kid. You can't even blame the kid for being a dick because the parent allowed that. That's it. That's all I had to say. Send help.
B
I want to just throw in my 2 cents real quick.
A
Please do.
B
I'm not gonna. It's not gonna be long. It's gonna be relative to what I started this podcast with. This is exactly what I'm talking about when I say that Jess ruined Rory, okay? Because you were in an awful, toxic relationship with Chris and that made you a worse person. That made you a worse mom.
A
Yeah.
B
And so, like, everything is relative in nature of, like, just the trickle down effect. Trickle of, like, everything. So the person you're with, you were a different parent to them because you were in a different relationship with their father. And like, that just, like, stems everything, which is why Jess was awful to Rory. And Rory is probably gonna go on this bad. Like, she was. Became a worse person, an angry person because of what she went through. And I'll leave it at that. Thank you, everyone, for listening.
