Good morning, good evening, good day, good night to everyone listening to our karmaroos.
Becky
Are you okay?
Kale
You know, these feet have been touching rocks. You know, just rock bottom has hit. And I guess the only good thing about rock bottom is that there's only one way to go from there.
Becky
No, there is only one way and it is up. So I'm confident that since. Since December 31, 2025, have been in hell. Okay.
Kale
Literally.
Becky
Okay, we can only go up from here.
Kale
Like, you know, it's so interesting. Yeah. You know, it's.
Becky
Even say anything. It's just. Yes.
Kale
The thoughts were in my head. You know, there's just so many. The thing that's interesting about. And you'll probably relate to this about just being in such like a. But thank God for therapy for the past six months because, like, I'm in a good place, like mentally kind of because I've been working on myself, you know, so I'm not as like if this was me six months ago and you showed up 20 minutes late. I would have probably quit the podcast because of my. What?
Becky
I texted you and I said, I have to record ads. I texted you before I was late and said I had to record ads.
Kale
I get that.
Becky
I should have been more specific and should have said I have to record ads for all three shows so that if you literally put, like, average five minutes or six minutes each, it was. It would equal 20 minutes. So I'm sorry, but I thought you knew what I meant. I apologize.
Kale
It's just that, like, I think about my old habits, and I'm like, I'm ready to just blow up my life. Right? Like,
Becky
yeah.
Kale
Which is so bad. Anyways, how are you? What? You know, I was watching a clip from our last episode. I like the bed vibe.
Becky
I love the bed vibe. The bed vibe is so on brand for us too. Like, yeah, when I go visit you, I love nothing more than to sit on your couch.
Kale
Yeah, yeah. The bed vibe was it. Yeah. So maybe more beds in our future.
Becky
I hope so. And also, if you're coming to any other tour dates, which I think you are, I think if we have to record, we do it from the bed.
Kale
Did you just say, if you're coming to any more tour dates, which I think you are.
Becky
Hold on, Let me explain. I acknowledge that life is lifing right now, and I fully acknowledge that if you do not have the mental capacity to come to a tour date that you were, quote, unquote, scheduled for, that is okay. And I will make it work with or without you. So I just want to put the ball in your court and know. Want you to know that if you decide that you cannot come to another tour date, that is okay.
Kale
Zero intention of not coming to another tour date.
Becky
Well, I respect and appreciate that. And if you change your mind, that is okay.
Kale
Now that we got that settled, tour was awesome. Tour was so much fun. I did have a tough morning. Did have a tough day. Told. Looked at Kale and said, I promise I will turn on my personality for this tour. Just let me dwell in my emotions for a little bit. I did look at her when I got out of the shower, and I said, are my eyes swollen? Looking for some reassurance. And all she said was, yes, they are.
Becky
They were. They were puffy. Did you want me to lie to you?
Kale
No. Give me a recap. Let's hear it. Unless you did on another episode, but let's hear that.
Becky
I just said it was fun. I. I said it was fun. Nashville, I'm telling you, for the first time, I might have said it on the. On another episode somewhere else, but Nashville was a tough crowd. I. It's. It's one of those things where it's like, you as. You know, like, you feed off their energy. But, yeah, everyone seemed to have a good time. I will say that one was also a toug sell because it's Nashville, and I don't think it's necessarily my demographic, but the people that did show up, they showed up and they showed out, so I'm thankful. Cincinnati as a whole. I love Cincinnati so much. I can't wait to go back. Like, I just loved the people. Michigan was great because it was Kate, and I really, really wish that you could have been there. It was a good time. Kate and Ty were great. Amber was great.
Kale
Trying to think any, like, specific moments in the tour that was like, that stick out in my mind that were funny. The. The girl. There was a girl that came on st. And she told us that in the past life she was a stripper. And then she was like. I was like, oh, like, what was your stripper name? She's like, actually, I have it tattooed on my ass. And I was like, prove it. And she did. And. And she showed us her ass, and everyone got to see it. There was so much fun. The men in the crowd were. Were having some fun. Philip, Wes. I forget the rest of their names.
Becky
Franklin.
Kale
Franklin. I did go to the bar after, and a lot of people bought me shots.
Becky
Okay.
Kale
If you're listening. And you're the girl that tried to smooch me, someone tried to smooch me too. So that was interesting.
Becky
At the next tour stop that you are at, you're in for a wild ride.
Kale
What. What was that?
Becky
I said, the next tour stop that you're at, you're in for a wild ride, because I'm switching up the show. I'm switching up the programming.
Ad Voice
Okay.
Kale
I don't think I want to get shocked by a dog collar, but.
Becky
Well, you don't get to decide that.
Kale
Okay.
Becky
I did eat a worm.
Kale
See, Like, I can eat things, but I also easily throw up.
Becky
Okay.
Kale
And what happens if I.
Becky
That hot Nicole ate. Yeah, she. It was really her that needed to eat it. And then I was. She was like, I just admitted that I. My pants, but for you. So I was like, all right, fine. Like, I'll eat it with you. The worm clung to her lip.
Kale
It was alive, apparent.
Becky
I thought mine was dead.
Kale
I traveled with Bex by myself. It wasn't bad. It really. You know, everyone said, oh, Traveling with a 4 month old is easy. Try it 9 months. Try it. 10 months. I traveled by myself with an 11 month old or almost 1 year old tomorrow and wasn't bad. It wasn't bad at all. I, I guess I, I don't. I'm not fully gonna go into detail of just like things in my life, but like, obviously if you listen to this podcast, you know that I've been struggling this past year with, you know, becoming a parent. Mine and Leah's relationship has been not the best and we kind of hit like a tipping point of like or get off the pot kind of situation. Decided we're going to go to couples therapy. And I want to say that because I think there's going to be fun and interesting things that I learned from couples therapy that I'd love to share here.
Becky
So, okay, so I was saying that I was talking to Leah about just motherhood and things like that she had two back to back babies and she mentioned that her and her husband go to couples therapy. And I, or marriage counseling, whatever it was, and my experience on the very little amount of therapy that we got, let me not say a little amount. It was a lot in a short time for marriage boot camp. Those types of exercises that they had us do for TB would totally have, like, be so beneficial in real life if you actually apply them to your relationship. There was one that really stuck out to me which was, and I'm not saying do this with your partner, what I'm just saying is, like, I do think it can work when you look at it through a new lens of, you know, therapy and practices and stuff like that, but where there's a scene of Javi and I throwing this medicine ball around back and forth with a specific blame, right? Like a specific thing in our relationship that we're blaming the other person for, right? And by the end of it, you might just be taking balls that you don't believe should be yours, right? These medicine balls, these really heavy balls. And we have no idea why this is beneficial until later on in the night we end up having to put all of these medicine balls that are like 5, 10, 15 pound balls in this big Santa sack, right? And the challenge at the end of the night is for both of us to be dragging these Santa sacks of medicine balls up a hill together, right? And ultimately what that is teaching you is that it doesn't matter who you blame for what in your relationship. At the end of the day, you both carry it in one way or in some way or another, you both carry this burden because it's the person that did it, whether they have the guilt or the feelings about it or whatever it is. And then the other person who is dealing with the insecurities about it or is constantly bringing it up to the other person. And so ultimately it is. It doesn't matter if the other person did it, right? You're still carrying it with them. And so that is what it was teaching us. And I thought that that was really cool. And when you look at certain things from that perspective, it's like, okay, now you have to decide, is this something that you want to carry with your partner or is this something you don't want anything to do with? And now you know that is your decision maker, maybe in theory, on whether or not you actually want to work it out. And so I do think that a lot of those exercises can be applied to real life. And I think that therapy can be really great. I also think we should normalize going to therapy before there are problems. Because like you said, with your own personal, like individual therapy, this, what you're going through right now could be so much harder if you weren't already in there.
Kale
100.
Becky
So I think the same can be said about couples or marriage counseling too, is you learn about your partner in therapy before there's a problem. So when problems do arise, you know how to handle it. All right, you guys, if you're like me and have struggled trying to find what supplements work for you, it's not even about the supplements themselves. It's about what's in them and whether or not your body absorbs them. Right? So most people just assume if they're taking supplements every day, they're getting the benefits. But the actual reality is that the vast majority of supplements have incredibly low absorption rates, meaning that most of what people spend money on never actually gets used by your body. And that's kind of scary. Okay? So the absorption company is focused on solving that exact problem with pharmaceutical grade absorption technology designed to help nutrients actually work. Because no matter how powerful a supplement is on paper, it only matters if your body actually absorbs it. Americans spend over $60 billion a year on supplements. So why are nutrient deficiencies so common? Okay, I'm anemic, right? And I have iron deficiency. I have big time iron deficiency. The contradiction is exactly what makes this conversation so interesting. Millions of people are taking vitamins, magnesium, CoQ10 and other supplements daily, yet the deficiency rates remain incredibly high. So the absorption company is singularly focused on solving the biggest problem in supplements. Low absorption. Most supplements absorb less than 16%, meaning over 84% of the supplements we take are completely wasted. And 77% of Americans take supplements daily. So we do spend $60 billion a year on supplements and yet over 95 of us are still nutrient deficient. The supplements we're taking every day do not absorb well enough to work. And so the absorption company uses cutting edge technologies to make supplements. Supplements with pharmaceutical grade absorption up to 149 times better than standard supplements. So we're talking about WLP1. This is a daily weight management solution. Everyone's talking about GLP1s right now. But not everyone wants injections because of the bill, because of the side effects, whatever it may be. So the WLP one will actually support weight management with ingredients clinically proven to increase natural GLP1 by 321%. Supports 3 thermogenesis. Calories burned at rest regulates appetite and cravings. Reduces the absorption of fat and carbs. Okay, next we have berberine. So people call it nature, so zic it supports insulin resistance, metabolism, blood sugar and cravings. And most berberine absorbs less than 1%, which means you don't actually get the benefits. And so what's especially true with berberine is that it's one of the most talked about supplements for blood sugar and metabolic support. And the absorption company focuses on solving the absorption issue first, creating a berberine designed to deliver significantly better bioavailability and better results. And then lastly, let's talk about magnesium. Because this supports over 300 bodily functions, it promotes better sleep, better muscle recovery, regulates stress and mood and so much more. But most Magnesium absorbs between 4 and 8%, meaning over 90% is wasted. So the absorption company's magnesium absorbs eight times better than the standard mag. So you'll sleep better and you'll get better muscle recovery. If you guys want to start taking supplements your body can actually absorb, go to absorb more.com and enter Karma at checkout for up to 35% off your order. That's absorb more.com and enter Karma At Checkout for 35% off your first order.

This is a paid message from GoFundMe. Meet Juan Naula. When his son was hospitalized for a viral infection, Juan started a GoFundMe to pay for medical expenses. It was 5k to pay the bill
Kale
for my son and I need only 22 hours. That was amazing. People really trust on GoFundMe.
Becky
How did Juan raise $5,000 in less than a day? He posted a short video on GoFundMe telling his story in 30 seconds.
Kale
30 seconds. Be specific. Be quick and tell what are you gonna be using the funds for?
Becky
I was nervous to do it because
Kale
it doesn't feel okay to ask money. But you shouldn't be nervous. Sometimes you just have to do it and see the results. We were able to save my son's life thanks to gofundme that we still have my son with us.
Becky
Start your GoFundMe today at gofundme.com that's gofundme.com gofundme.com this message reflects one person's experience. When Javi and I went for. I think we went a handful of times, like in real life. Like, I don't even think he came after, like, the first handful. Right? But we were so pissed off because we would get there and she would give us, like, tools on how to do certain things and how to argue, really. And we were like, if we could do this in the moment, we would have done it. Right? Like, we would have done it. The problem is that we can't do this. We needed the tools to learn how to do it. And I'm not going to pull out my binder in the middle of an argument and try to go by the books. Right? And so I think just normalizing couples therapy before there are huge issues. It was also. Okay.
Kale
I couldn't agree more. If you are listening to this and you're pregnant with your first child or planning to get pregnant, I cannot advocate enough. Like, obviously, I don't know what couples therapy is about yet, because we don't. We're not. We're starting next week. But look into couples therapy before, before that kid comes into. Into your world.
Becky
So a baby will rock. Your world will rock the most solid foundations the most.
Kale
But like I love that little. Now. We had so much fun in Florida spending time with my sister. Yeah, A couple. I mean, I'm intrigued. I. The, the therapist that I chose, we chose it like she's certified in gun Gutman theory. Gutman Gunman theory or something. It's like a research based couples therapy.
Becky
Hold on.
Kale
Gottman G O T T M A
Becky
N. Okay, so Gottman therapy. The Gottman method is a research backed approach to couple two couples therapy developed by doctors John and Julie Gottman. It focuses on disarming com conflicting verbal communication and increasing intimacy, respect and affection and removing barriers that create a feeling of stagnancy in the relationship.
Kale
Yeah, so it uses like actual research based, like methods instead of just. Well, she doesn't follow the book like exactly, but she has that background. We'll see. We'll see how it goes.
Becky
Yeah.
Kale
Tbd. Tbd.
Becky
Well, I'll be excited to learn some. Some stuff from your journey.
Kale
You know, it's my pleasure. My pain can be everyone's benefit. I did. Did I tell you that I started playing adult softball?
Becky
I feel like you did tell me
Kale
that I played and I feel like I'm getting in the groove of things. I played last. We had a game yesterday. My body is sore.
Becky
Okay, so when we do a family soccer game, don't sit here and tell me you can't play because you don't have an acl.
Kale
Soccer is different than. So I can somewhat play. I. But like I can't. I can't stop. Like I can't pivot or stop. I don't have an acl.
Becky
Well, how was the game? Did y' all win?
Kale
No, we didn't win, but I did hit a bunch of home runs.
Becky
As you should. Yeah, as you should. Lincoln went to the World cup last night. Two days ago.
Kale
Which game?
Becky
France versus. I don't remember. He saw Mbappe. I mean, we saw him brought bay when we went in Spain, but yeah, this time he got to go and he saw Mbappe and he's living his best life.
Kale
He probably loved that. So that's going to be such a core memory for him.
Becky
And I'm so happy for him. Like, as much as Javi and I have hated each other's guts over the years on and off or. Or felt indifferent too. Like there's been periods of that like one thing that we're gonna do is ride or die for Lincoln and I. Even if. Even if Lincoln was with me and his dad got these tickets, thousand percent would have sent him with his dad because to Your point? It is going to be a core memory for life.
Kale
Yeah, man. Are you going? You're not going to any games, are you?
Becky
No, I was gonna go and then I'm afraid of heights. And the nosebleeds, like all the way at the top where you need binoculars, were 1500 each.
Kale
That's like crazy. It's.
Becky
And like, for me, we could watch that on TV and like eat popcorn and go to bed. Do you know what I mean?
Kale
So, yeah, that's just. It's just unfortunate that things. Experiences in general, like, are so unobtainable by people that like, it is so like such a privileged thing, right, to go to any sporting event, really?
Becky
Well, so to kind of elaborate on that. And maybe somebody else will have, I mean, you know, marketing better than I do. But also the general public might know more than me. Like the amount of sales that they would do if things were more attainable. Don't you think that they would have. It would be more of a supply and demand that they're looking for if they made it affordable for everybody and everybody could go, like, wouldn't more people go?
Kale
But people pay that price, right? Like, so why sell 100 if you could sell one?
Becky
It's like, you know, I guess, I mean. Yeah, I guess I just. I don't know though. When I looked at tickets for like where we would normally go in a soccer game, they were 85 grand for one.
Kale
That's insane.
Becky
Like the eye level seats where you're
Kale
like, who is buying these tickets?
Becky
Millionaires and billionaires. That's what I'm saying. It's not like. It's because I think people would put like a thousand dollars on their credit card. And there's also like the ticket lottery. But still, I just. It is really sad.
Kale
Reseller prices.
Becky
Oh, yeah, that's another thing. Not that anyone should be reselling my tickets anywhere. Like, truly, you would have more luck selling them for what you bought them for in a Facebook group. Selling my tickets for resale value There somebody listed tickets of mine for sale for 1500 dollars. You did not even pay 150 for those. Piss me off.
Kale
Try it again. Europe has a. You can't. It's illegal to resell tickets at a higher value.
Becky
Good.
Kale
Like, why don't we have that?
Becky
I think some sites are starting to do that.
Kale
It should just be like that all across the board. Only reason I know that is because when I went to see the Spice Girls World thing tour in Dublin and bought them an hour before the show, I was like, wow, these tickets are so cheap.
Becky
Speaking of the Spice Girls, you know the lore of why they broke up?
Kale
Yeah.
Becky
You do?
Kale
I think so.
Becky
Well, what is. What do you think it was?
Kale
Wasn't it, like, Baby and Sporty Spice or someone. One of them were dating?
Becky
It was Ginger Spice.
Kale
Oh, yeah, yeah. Ginger and Sporty or.
Becky
Yeah, I think it was. No, I think it was Sporty, I'm pretty sure. And then the whole thing blew up from there.
Kale
Makes sense. Love those crazy things, doesn't it?
Becky
But then, like, you know what's crazy, though? I was. I tailor each playlist for tour to the city, like that or, like, to the guest or whatever with the vibes I'm feeling. I was adding Spice Girls in Nashville, and so I click on. Because I had the movies, I had the cd, I had the. The lollipops. I was looking for the Barbies. Like, I was doing all the things. So I'm tailoring the playlist to each city, and I get to the Spice Girls, and I'm like, I had the movies, the lollipops, the Barbies, all the things. Right. And then I go look at the playlist and, like, Spice Girls, you know, best hits or whatever. There's not many.
Kale
What do you mean?
Becky
Like, there's like, a handful of, like, solid ones that, like, everybody knows, and then nobody knows the rest. Yeah. So I guess, looking back, the Spice Girls were not as big as I thought they were to be so much bigger. But they broke up before that could happen.
Kale
How many top hits does Spice Girls have? They only have four top hits in
Becky
the U.S. that's what I'm saying. So, like, we were all obsessed with them over four hits. How long were they together?
Kale
Four years. That's not a long time.
Becky
Four hits in four years is kind of diabolical.
Kale
I mean, that's not a long time to be. To be together, though.
Becky
They really had the potential to do big, big.
Kale
Oh, it was Mel B. And Ginger or Jerry. Mel B. Is Scary Spice.
Becky
Oh, my bad.
Kale
Yeah, Mel.
Becky
What's the other one? Mel? What?
Kale
I don't know.
Becky
A. Okay, so we got the girls wrong. We're out here.
Kale
Victoria, Mel B. Jerry, Melanie, and Emma.
Becky
So, Mel B. Oh, is there pictures of them together like they were just loving each other or what?
Kale
I have no clue where that lore came from. I think you told me that, like, not that long ago about it.
Becky
It probably wasn't me because I had Jerry on Barely Famous, and I still didn't know at that time.
Kale
You should have asked her.
Becky
She wouldn't talk about the Spice Girls at all. She would not address the Spice Girls at all. She wanted nothing to do with it.
Kale
I went to the opening, the world tour, opening concert in Dublin.
Becky
Spice up your life.
Kale
It was so much fun.
Becky
I bet.
Kale
Yeah. I was sitting. Yeah, it was so. It was so much fun. There's nothing. There's nothing I shouldn't say. Nothing better. It is so nice to go to a concert when you know the music and you know and you can like. That's why I keep going to Noah Khan concerts, because I can sing and get into all the music. That's why, like, the ERAS tour was so much fun, because I know all the music.
Becky
I don't know a single Taylor Swift
Kale
song that's probably a lie, but it's not.
Becky
I know Teardrops on My Guitar, and that's pretty much it.
Kale
That is a single song, though.
Becky
I don't know the words. I just know the title.
Kale
I feel like there are probably songs you subconsciously know.
Becky
Maybe.
Kale
Maybe that's true just from like, Tick Tocks too.
Becky
Okay. Yeah. Maybe like a hook or a chorus that I didn't realize was her or something like that. That's possible. That is possible. Oh, I'll tell you what. Tour does not make the money you think it does. Tor does not make the money you think it does. It does not. So I just want to throw that out there. Tour is. Is a lot of work.
Kale
You should have had your books ready to go just so that you could have been promoting those on the tour.
Becky
Truly, honestly, I think my audience, though, I think has some kale fatigue. And after tour, I'm gonna go dark for about a month. I just need to take some time off. I need my audience to love me again after. And they probably will need a break from me for a little while, I feel.
Kale
But, like, the tour was so much fun.
Becky
Oh, no, it's so fun. Like, I. I would. Aside from the anxiety of ticket sales, I wish I could tour all the time, but it is. It. The ticket sale stresses me out, and that's why I didn't want to do it again to begin with. And then this one with the rooms double and triple the size, I'm like, it's gonna send me into a tailspin. But I love the fans. I love. I love the listeners, the supporters, all the things. Like, I love that part of it.
Kale
And the feedback's been great, too. I haven't seen much bad feedback from the tour.
Becky
I haven't seen any bad feedback. I also don't want to look, because if I look, I'll find something and I don't want to.
Kale
So I know I'm trying to spin this whole, like, up until now, I have never received really any feedback negatively about for the haters. And I'm trying to spin it that, like, because it's growing, which is a positive thing. Like, you can't protect something forever and always a positive light. And because it's, like, growing and getting more listeners, that is something that I'm gonna have to deal with. And it's just not everyone's cup of tea. And I just have to accept it. I was, like, sitting on my couch a little bit down in my feelings earlier today. And I, like, read a post and someone posted, like, I just don't like for the haters. And I. And there's no constructive criticism in it. Like, nothing for me to, like, change or, like, take. I'm like, I'm like, this phone, like, what the am I doing? Like, I'm quitting everything. And I'm like, you know what? I need to regroup here. I need to get my mind back on track. And here we are.
Becky
Read a book.
Kale
I know, I. I've been in a book slum, so maybe I should read a book.
Becky
It'll keep you offline so that you're not, like, if your personal life feels like it's taking a hit or you're at rock bottom and then you get on social media and you're reading negative comments, you're gonna focus more on them. Just read a book instead. I know it's hard. It's hard. Also, speaking of that, I started reading Kite, the Kite Runner, which is. Takes place in Afghanistan. And I don't know if you've seen what's going on in Afghanistan right now, but it's absolutely insane.
Kale
Oh, with the women not having rights,
Becky
women have been stripped of virtually all of their rights whatsoever public, they can't read or learn past sixth grade. Their husbands are allowed to beat them. They have to be covered from head to toe at all times. They have to have a male handler at all times. They cannot basically, can't do anything. So I've been reposting that stuff, and there was a post that was done about women in Afghanistan, I want to say, in the 1950s or 60s versus now. And the women there had more rights in the 1950s and looked much more happy and could wear whatever they wanted then than they do now and then also, they are in such a state of emergency that they're selling their daughters to feed them, to feed the rest of their families because they're in a place where they. And there's no restrictions on marriage age. So basically, as soon as you hit puberty, you're able and eligible to be married off.
Kale
It is like, what can be done, right? Like, is.
Becky
So that's where my question lies. And I don't know if sharing the posts is like, raising awareness. I don't know if people are paying attention, but it made me really sad because I'm like, number one, how are we going so far back in time and reversing the progress that we've made or that they've made to revert back to this. But then secondarily, like, what can we do? Because they're not even allowed to travel. They're not allowed to read. They have to submit to their husbands. They have, like, I don't know what can be done. And so that brought me back to the conversation that I had with Jimmy Armo. And I really think that you should have him on for the haters. I thought we were talking about shark tagging. It ended up being less about that and more about Afghanistan and Iraq. And he said that in Afghanistan they had mentally challenged children chained to the walls. Like, that's what they do. And then they had another child that would go with them everywhere they went, and they would basically rape them as. Rape him as they saw fit. Like, that was the kids, like, existence. And so I, I don't know what, I don't know what we do because it's on one hand, it's like, do we stay? And this isn't about politic. This isn't about politics. This is about morality and, and just humanity in general. Right? So it doesn't matter what side you're on, like, what do you do?
Kale
I don't understand how it happened that, like, men are just. And obviously it's not all men, but, like, how is, like, the root of so much evil driven from, like, men? And like, what are they so angry at? And like, why do they feel like they need to control women so badly?
Becky
Well, yeah, I mean, but also, if you think about, that's not just one leader that's doing that, right? Like, that's like an entire government and society of men. So even if we were to, if the US Was to step in in any way, or another country was to step in and try to reverse this or do something about it. This is going to take generations.
Kale
It's terrifying.
Becky
So it's not just, oh, we'll just, you know, somebody will step in and get rid of the government and start over. Like, that's not how that works. And this is going to take generations of. Because there are going to be generations of men who feel this way about women.
Kale
My mind goes, like, so dark of just like, making a pact and like, just like being like, okay, let's all just leave the Earth and then they'll be left with no women to try to do this too. But obviously that's not even realistic. It, it, like, it's terrifying to me. I was just, yeah, it's just relative, but not as serious. But I, I saw someone talking about how, like, girls just mature so much faster than boys. And, like, they learn to talk first, they learn to read first, they learn to, you know, handle their emotions first. And so, like, where did it begin that women weren't bred to lead? Right? Like, every step of life, women are ahead of men in all, like, all
Becky
cases, honestly, since the beginning of time. Think about, like, ancient Egypt and, like, the pharaohs and stuff, how, like, the women had to, like, pretend to be men to compete in order to be.
Kale
It's like, terrifying.
Becky
Like, Cleopatra and Hap Shetsu and all of those people that, you know, were leaders and had to conform in order to even be a leader. Obviously, that's generally speaking. But I think the beginning of time, because even when I read Jodi Pico's book by any other name, it's like historical fiction set in the 15 and 1600s. And even then the males were in their 50s and 60s. They had a woman who was their wife in one house and their mistress who went to all the events with in another house. And that was the mistress that you better not get pregnant. You better not embarrass my family name. And you will come to all these, like, public, like, I think that it's been since the beginning of time.
Kale
What do we do?
Becky
Start over? Should we just start, like. Let's fast forward to not 2027. We're going to fast forward to 2028.
Kale
I'm. I'm on board. I said in the line. I've probably said it a bunch of, like, we see a reset. We need a reset. We need to let women take over. We need. We need something. We need some hope.
Becky
What are you doing with the women?
Kale
We need some hope and positivity. It's something to fucking look forward to because the World cup isn't cutting it. I don't feel
Becky
small apples.
Kale
Even though the Scott. The Scottish people are really enjoying their time here in the US and it's great to see. It's not cutting. It's not cutting it. I do not feel the hope and pride.
Becky
This episode is brought to you by Better Help. We talk about mental health so much on these podcasts, but we also talk about mental health more openly in general, which is nice, but asking for help can still feel hard. Also, I haven't seen a whole lot of Pride stuff going on this month,
Kale
probably because I haven't posted about it.
Becky
But normally like everybody's all over Pride and I haven't. Like, maybe it's because I haven't really been online, I don't know. But I feel like I haven't seen a whole lot of Pride support this month. Like, yeah, we're talking about June. Like, what is going on?
Kale
Didn't go to one single Pride event this year.
Becky
Me neither. Me neither. I haven't seen one rainbow or gay flag anywhere. What the.
Kale
I don't know. I'm exhausted. I'm ready for 2026 to just scoot on by.
Becky
This needs to be just a. A distant memory floating in the abyss for sure is.
Kale
Yeah, I all. You know, there's good things. It's such a hard place to be. Such a hard place to be because there are good things that come, but there's just really testing our patience.
Becky
I hope everybody else can relate to this and we're not just like complaining the whole time, but misery does love company. So if you're going through it this year too, we feel you so hard.
Kale
Misery does love company and life is precious. We have one life to live. We have this singular, small life to live. So we need to turn this around. Maybe we don't wait to the end of the year. Let's turn this around. Let's. Good things are going to come the rest of 2026, and I fully believe that we will get through it.
Becky
I hope so. And on that note, do we have an. Is it karma or is it chaos or are we just saying it?
Kale
Okay,
Becky
Doing the best we can this week. I'm so sorry. We will be back and better than ever next week. Okay? Just. Just. Will we. We're gonna try. We're gonna turn it around. The vibes will be different next week. If you haven't already got your tour tickets, do that. If you haven't already subscribed and downloaded for the haters, do that. And if you have tickets that you're trying to get rid of, also do that on the Facebook fan pages or the Facebook groups, either one, do not go resell them for fifteen hundred dollars. I'm not worth that much. But thank you so much.
Kale
I have two questions to ask you.
Becky
Okay, fine.
Ad Voice
If.
Kale
And I don't think I've asked. All right, anyways, let me ask you this question. Two questions. One, when you die, what do you want to wear? Like, for a viewing, even if you don't get buried, if you want to. Do you want to be cremated? Yeah, but, like, if you had a viewing, like, what outfit would you want to be in?
Becky
Probably my favorite Amazon leggings and a crop top.
Kale
What crop top?
Becky
Probably either my book girly crop top or like a. Or like a merch. Like karma. Like something like a killer.
Kale
Yeah, like a killer crop top.
Becky
Yeah, it's very on brand for me. Do not put me in a goddamn dress because that is not on brand. That is not what I want to do. Like, truly. And I don't even like, if there's a viewing situation. Don't. Don't make me not like, let everybody See me exactly how I died. Do not do my makeup and, like, make me look like nothing happened to me and I died peacefully. Like, let it be me and all my glory exactly how I've died.
Kale
That is insane.
Becky
Why?
Kale
Like, you don't want any makeup or anything?
Becky
No, I want to be exactly how I look when I died because no one will ever forget me that way.
Kale
Okay?
Becky
You saw me at my worst, and now you've seen me dead. You know what I mean?
Kale
Do you want your hair done?
Becky
Nope. However I died is how I want to be laid to rest in that casket. Okay. Matter of fact, take me out of the casket also and burn me and
Kale
just burn me up in front of everyone. Just lay down.
Becky
Make it a group ceremony, like a seance.
Kale
Is that seance?
Becky
Do the viewing. Move my body into the oven.
Kale
Okay.
Becky
Light me up.
Kale
Lighter up. All right, Fair. Now we know.
Becky
Yep.
Kale
You better write that in your will.
Becky
Okay, how do you want. What do you want to wear?
Kale
I would want to wear Old Navy jeans, probably.
Becky
Obviously.
Kale
Duh. I'd probably wear maybe a T shirt, maybe Noah Khan T shirt. Maybe a Mike Pinto T shirt.
Becky
Okay.
Kale
Maybe the dad Bod T shirt. Maybe this for the haters. T shirt available now@beckyhater.com.
Becky
i love that, actually. I think that's very on brand for you.
Kale
Yeah. So, like, definitely hair in a bun, which, like, gives me a little bit of uneasiness. The idea of someone else having to try to do this bun, but you
Becky
just die with the bun in.
Kale
Yeah. Maybe they, like, just don't take it out.
Becky
Yeah, I'm feeling like that's the vibe.
Kale
Could you. Bad. I was been thinking, like, should I just dye my hair? And I'm like, no. Could you imagine how different it'll look? No makeup. Because I don't wear makeup anyway, so
Becky
why is that so crazy for me to ask?
Kale
I don't know. I feel like they have to actually put makeup on you.
Becky
No, I don't want them to. I want to be in all my
Kale
dead glory because I want to look tan. So they have to put like.
Becky
I want to look exactly how death looks.
Kale
Let me look. Let me look something up.
Becky
Does be careful because if the feds come looking at your computer history.
Kale
Does self tanner work on dead bodies? Yes. Self tanner will still work on a dead body. So I would like my body. I would like my body to be tan. Throw me in a tanner like Kent does a dead body tan in a tanning bed.
Becky
No, because the cells of the.
Kale
No, it won't so throw, throw some, throw some tan tannness on me.
Becky
Okay.
Kale
And then set me free.
Becky
Do you have a living will?
Kale
I don't. I, I actually need to.
Becky
So actually that type of those type of wishes, they don't actually go in your will. They go in a section that says like other wishes. And so the executor of your will would in theory follow those last wishes. So like if I say I wanted to have a viewing with no makeup and this outfit and this, that and the third, those are my wishes. That does not necessarily mean that that is Bible. Right? Like that.
Kale
Yeah.
Becky
The executor has to actually do those things.
Kale
It might not happen.
Becky
So if you think that you, if you have somebody in your life that knows best for you and claims that they're going to follow your will, they still, they have to follow what's in the actual last will and testament. But the wishes part does not necessarily have to be followed. It should be. But also this is not legal advice and you should get an attorney of your own for your estate planning. Also put all of your last will and testament and all of your stuff inside of a trust.
Kale
Trust.
Becky
That is different than just having an estate plan. But I have mine in, in a trust, an actual trust.
Kale
Good on you. That's one thing.
Becky
Second question.
Kale
My second question is if you could drop everything for one year and go away to an adult boarding school, you don't have any responsibilities, you don't have to do anything, what subject would you want to learn? You have a year. Like what, what would you want to dive into?
Becky
My gut. My initial like gut reaction was history. But like are we talking about like career or are we just talking interest?
Kale
Either or could be, could be interest based. All right, let's give you two, let's give you two, two subjects.
Becky
I would say history and law.
Kale
Okay. I think that's great for you because
Becky
like I surprised myself like really loving historical fiction novels.
Kale
Yeah.
Becky
And yes, obviously I know that they are fiction, but they are inspired by true events. Which makes me like dig into history. Like the Mountains meadows, the Mountain Meadows massacre with the Mormons and things like that. Like very interested in all of that. But then also like career wise would love to know more about law and dive head for like if I have no distractions, like in theory, I can get a lot of law school done in a year.
Kale
Yeah.
Becky
If I don't have kids to take care of for an entire year.
Kale
Those are great answers.
Becky
What would you, what would you learn?
Kale
I would, I don't know if I have two. My. I would. My one would definitely be all of the trades. Electrical, H vac, construction, plumbing.
Becky
Surprise. That was that. Really? You could get a lot of that learned and done. Get certified in a year.
Kale
Yeah.
Becky
Like multiple certifications.
Kale
Yep. All four. Like, all those core trades. That's what I would want to dive deep in for. Funsies. My, like, brain went to, like, outer space.
Becky
I don't even know. Okay.
Kale
But I don't really know if I care to learn about that.
Becky
Okay.
Kale
Maybe like, world. Some type of, like, world news. Just understanding world views or world news. World views. Just understanding the world better. Of how life is lived in different places.
Becky
Oh, okay. I kind of love that. Wait, there's. That's not economics, is it?
Kale
No, economics is money.
Becky
Is it?
Kale
I think so. Now you're making me question myself. But yeah.
Becky
Okay. Humanity, like, set. Like human studies. I don't know if that's.
Kale
Yeah. Humanitarian studies. Yeah, maybe that's what it was.
Becky
Humanitarian studies. Okay, maybe. I love that. I love both. And that's actually. They're polar opposites. Like, I don't think they go hand in hand, like the trades and then that. But I think that's cool because then you can really just like, do separate things and they're not overlapping.
Kale
Exactly. And then I could flip houses by myself.
Becky
I love that idea. Well, thanks for sharing.
Kale
You're welcome. Comment down below which subjects you would want to watch.
Becky
Yeah, please do. Okay.
Kale
Are we okay?
Becky
No, Alessandro's gonna say. What the was this?
Kale
Oh, my God.
Becky
And I have to pee really bad. So I love you and I will see you soon. Text me when you're feeling up to it.

Yeah.

some bad news, but also some good news.

Bad news? We're all gonna die.
Kale
I know.
Becky
But good news, that might be the best thing to ever happen to your priorities.
Kale
I've spent years at the bedside, and
Becky
what I've learned is simple. People don't usually regret the big things. They regret the small things, they regret
Kale
the things they didn't say.
Becky
My new podcast, It's Okay, We're All Gonna Die is where we talk about the stuff everyone avoids. Death, dying, and all of those we should probably talk about this someday conversations. So if you're looking for something that will help you check out. It's okay.
