This is Week One of our series "Crucible" where we are peeling back the layers of the life and times of the prophet Jonah and looking at his life through the lens of the Biblical idea and what many church fathers and sages have referenced as: the crucible. The crucible is a time in a Christian's life in which they are called, tested, purified into the type of person God desires them to be and positioned to do what God desires them to do. In this series, we see clearly from the life of Jonah a kind of negative example: what not to do! So join us as we look into the life of Jonah, the most unlikely, unfaithful prophet, and squeeze out the Spirit-filled lessons God has in store for us in our crucible today. We'd love to know what you thought of this message and what you took away from it. This the FINAL Week of our series "The Kingdom Code" where we explore the core foundational doctrines and beliefs of the Christian faith. This week, we're looking at our final doctrine of the series, the Doctrine of the New Heavens & New EarthThe Resurrection of Jesus Christ isn't the only radical belief that Christianity ascribes to: We believe that the Second Coming of Jesus Christ is not simply the "end" of all things, but the that the Bible teaches us that it's the hinge that all reality rests. The hinge that opens the door to a brand new, and yet strangely familiar reality! The New Heavens and New Earth are just that -- the stripping down to the core, all that Sin, evil and death have built, and the renovation of the entire earth and cosmos. All of this, for the purpose of creating a new space where humanity and God may be finally reunited. Counter to the prevailing cultural idea of "heaven", this is what Christianity actually speaks to when it refers to the "age to come." A time when God will right everything. But what we may not have expected, is that there is much to do in this next eternity....._______________________________________________________________________We hope & pray that the Kingdom Code series was stirring, applicable, has given you more language, knowledge and has brought you closer to the God of the Bible, and the Risen Jesus. We'd love to know what you thought of this message and what you took away from it. This is Week 22 of our series "The Kingdom Code" where we explore the core foundational doctrines and beliefs of the Christian faith. This week, we're looking at our 17th doctrine of the series, the Doctrine of the Final Judgment of God.Why does God have to judge?Who gets judged? What's the result of the judging? All of these questions come to the surface when we seriously consider what the Christian faith teaches about the doctrine of the Last Things. Christianity doesn't only have an answer about what we are meant to do in this life currently, it also speaks clearly to what is going to come. Our actions and allegiances do echo into eternity, and Jesus, while reaching out for all, does have a final say on what is good and worthy to enter the kingdom of heaven, and what is evil, punishable and unworthy to enter the final resting place of God. In this teaching, we take a vacation to our sunday morning service where our Pastor Scott Walsh walks us through the Doctrine of the Final Judgment of God. We pray this teaching will stir your heart towards repentance and birth in you both a healthy fear of the Lord and his power and a sincere hope for the joy that God really will judge the living and the dead. This is Week 21 of our series "The Kingdom Code" where we explore the core foundational doctrines and beliefs of the Christian faith. This week, we're looking at our 16th doctrine of the series, the Doctrine of the Holy Spirit in Community. What is the purpose of the Holy Spirit in the lives of a Christian? - Is it only to empower us? - Is it only to give us good feelings?- Is it purely just an individual thing, or does the Holy Spirit desire for us to reach out towards others? - Is there something more? We tackle in this teaching from our Friday Night Young Adults, what the Holy Spirit does in the life of an individual for the purpose of the group. When we look at scripture and the teachings of Christ and the example of the disciples, it is clear that the Holy Spirit operates in a process of sanctification of the purpose of forming and creating a people who look more and more like Christ every single day. We pray that this teaching would: 1. Humble you2. Teach you3. Unify you4. Mature you5. and Empower youIn Jesus name. We'd love to know what you thought of this message and what you took away from it. This is Week 18 of our series "The Kingdom Code" where we explore the core foundational doctrines and beliefs of the Christian faith. This week, we're looking at our 15th doctrine of the series, the Doctrine of the Atonement.Does Christianity really believe that God needed to send his son to die for us? Why? At first, the notion of a substitutional sacrifice seems off-putting at best to our post-modern ears. But the grounding for all of Christian faith rests on the sacrifice of Christ on the cross for the sake of the world. In this teaching, we tried to tackle some of the most fundamental questions surrounding why Jesus had to die and the circumstances surrounding the misconceptions around the cross that we see then and today. We hope and pray this teaching grounds you in the sacrifice of Chris ton your behalf. We'd love to know what you thought of this message and what you took away from it. This is Week 16 of our series "The Kingdom Code" where we explore the core foundational doctrines and beliefs of the Christian faith. This week, we're looking at our 14th doctrine of the series, the Doctrine of the Humanity & Deity of Jesus Christ. Was Jesus man? or God? Or some mixture of the two? We are going deep this week. Political theory, religious history, this teaching has quite a bit of ground to cover. It's heading towards the idea that humanity all aspires to reach the everlasting, whether it be through massive political visions of the future through progress or revolution, or each moment we reach for it through satisfying needs. We all yearn for the everlasting. Jesus is the perfect union of the everlasting, become particular. It's one of the most foundational claims of Christianity: that Jesus was indeed, God's Son, raised from the dead, equal with God the Father. Jesus is the Word, who created all things, and all things come together in Him. Jesus is not only a great human teacher, He is God in flesh. And He isn't only the picture of the everlasting, but also the relatable, particular man. We hope and pray this reframes the majesty and intimacy of Jesus in a new way that connects you to the Holy Spirit. We'd love to know what you thought of this message and what you took away from it. This is Week 15 of our series "The Kingdom Code" where we explore the core foundational doctrines and beliefs of the Christian faith. This week, we're looking at our 13th doctrine of the series, the Doctrine of the Incarnation. The Incarnation, simply put (If you couldn't even do that!) is that the very God who created everything and created us, saw us in our distress and came down and dwelled among and with us in order to save us. This is one of the most central and seismic moments about the Gospel story, and it's one we discussed more in depth in today's teaching. We hope and pray this pulls at your heart the way it pulled on our community's heart in the room that night. We'd love to know what you thought of this message and what you took away from it. This is Week 14 of our series "The Kingdom Code" where we explore the core foundational doctrines and beliefs of the Christian faith. This week, we're looking at our 12th doctrine of the series, the Doctrine of Sin.When we talk about Sin... really we're talking about what the Christian faith believes is wrong with the world. Societal issues? Moral failings? These are outgrowths of an inner problem. The Christian faith has something to say to the world and its diagnosis is bleak. But the solution Christianity offers has a 100% rate of recovery and new life. We hope and pray this is illuminating, engaging, and brings you to a deeper understanding of the innate bent of the human heart away from God, enabling you to surrender more fully to the salvation, justification, redemption, and sanctification of the work of the Holy Spirit in your life. We'd love to know what you thought of this message and what you took away from it. Message us on socials @ kingdom_youngadultsnj

This is Week 12 of our series "The Kingdom Code" where we explore the core foundational doctrines and beliefs of the Christian faith. This week, we're looking at our Tenth & Eleventh doctrines of the series, the Doctrine of the Image of God and the Doctrine of Vocation. Who am I ?Firstly, the image of God might be familiar to Christians, if you've ever read Genesis chapter one, but the truest and most robust understanding of what it means to have innate human dignity, and the divine thumbprint of God upon each and every human being mostly escapes the teachings of the church. What does it truly mean to be, not an accident, or simply a cluster of cells, but made in the image of God? We tackle that massive question a little bit in the first part of this teaching. What am I supposed to do?Secondly, the doctrine of vocation or work challenges the idea that work is simply a negative thing. Some circles of christian thinking like to talk about work as a punishment, or in some circles of political schools, a tool of the oppressor over the oppressed. But this is a massively distorted view of what work (vocation) truly is. The truth is, we were created to work! To cultivate, create, mold, and expand God's good world. Even though we are marred by sin and work can be hard, we are still called to work for the glory of God. We tackle this subject, and some of the question around human purpose in the second half of this teaching. We hope and pray this is helpful, engaging, and inspiring. We'd love to know what you thought of this message and what you took away from it. Message us on socials @ kingdom_youngadultsnj

This is Week 10 of our series "The Kingdom Code" where we explore the core foundational doctrines and beliefs of the Christian faith. This week, we're looking at our Ninth doctrine of the series, the Doctrine of the Sovereignty of God. This week goes deep! We get into what might be considered one of the most difficult issues that faces the reputation of Christianity in the darkest of times: the problem of evil in the world. Why does God allow evil and suffering. If God is supposedly in control, why would He allow terrible evil to happen to good people, and why does good happen to bad people? We talk about a host of these questions and we tackle the two main views of sovereignty found in the christian world, and a third more Biblical view that we can walk forward with. In the end, we know that we can trust God when everything else around us is shaking. We'd love to know what you thought of this message and what you took away from it.
