Did you ever want to ride a rollercoaster, but you had to stand next to a sign to measure whether you were tall enough? At a carnival, did you try to ring the bell with the sledgehammer at the High Striker? These efforts required a level of measuring-up. Our series invites us to take a moment to measure our commitment to Jesus as his disciples. This Sunday, we conclude the series by studying the wilderness and temptation story of Jesus in Luke 4. Often, measuring up as a disciple is challenging when temptation is present and stress is high.
