Hello and welcome back to Koala Moon, a podcast of original bedtime stories and sleep meditations for kids designed to make bedtime a dream. Ho ho ho. Christmas has come a little early this year as it's time for another snoozy news our cosy little Minnesote where we catch up on all the exciting things happening across Koala Moon. This is where I share news from your favourite characters and I give you the heads up on new stories and I answer some of your biggest questions, like this question that came in from Connie. Does Prickles wear a special festive sweater in December? Yes, he does. It is green, it is woolly, and it is covered in tiny knitted snowflakes. And he wears it every single day. There we go. Connie, I hope that answers your question, but keep them coming. We love to have questions. Tonight's snoozy news, then, is extra sparkly because Christmas is now only a few days away. I bet you know exactly how many as well. And that means twinkly lights, warm blankets, wintry cosiness, and some of the best Koala Moon stories of the whole year. Actually, I say wintry cosiness, but some of you may be headed to a sunny beach, preparing to decorate a palm tree, or packing the jeep up for an overland safari, like I did once when I spent Christmas in Kenya. I was with a dear friend and our Christmas treat was to go and look for elephants. It was one of the most unusual and exhilarating ways to spend Christmas Day and I will never forget it. Another memory that's etched into my brain was the time when I saw the surprising spectacle of hundreds of Santas, all singing and drumming their way down the streets of Nazareth towards the giant Christmas tree in the town centre. They were all parading, they were singing, they were dancing, drumming, and a few of them were pouring little cups of hot Arabic coffee from gigantic coffee pots that they wore strapped to their backs for the passersby. They would hold out the glass, bend forward slightly, tipping the tea or coffee into the cup, and give it to you. It was crazy. It was delicious as well. Very noisy, very aromatic. Completely different way to spend Christmas. I wonder if you have ever done anything or you've seen something unusual at Christmas. And if you have, you know what to do, let me know. I'll give you the email a bit later. Okay, then, back to the stories. I'll look back at what's arrived so far and then I will peek at what's still coming your way. Whether you celebrate Christmas, Hanukkah, New Year's or all of them, we have a sleigh full of magical stories to enjoy a few weeks ago. Then we headed to sunny Playa del Moon for Capi and Tito Jungle all the Way, our exclusive Coco Club series with our capybara and chickadee duo. They both live in Peru, so Christmas takes place in the middle of summer. You can expect blue skies, sunshine and lots of cozy holiday fun. We also recently brought back our annual Hanukkah tradition with Prickles. Cozy Hanukkah. Created with our friends at Afternoons with Mimi. It is warm, gentle and full of culture and meaning. And we love sharing it every single year. Then came our brand new two hour compilation, Koko's Christmas Bedtime Stories. If you haven't listened yet, it is packed with Koko's all time favourite festive episodes. Perfect for nights when everyone is just a little too excited to settle down. I'm definitely going to listen to it. On Christmas Eve. Our Koko Club members also have access to a brand new Koko and Kira story with the Book of Christmas Magic. In this tale, the siblings unwrap a mysterious Christmas Eve gift that leads to a magical discovery about the heart of Christmas. And now, right in the middle of the festive season, we still have a few treats on the way for you. Soon you'll hear the sleepy sloth Sleuth and the Wrong Moon. A cosy mystery where Saffy and Moose must track down a missing holiday gift. Could it be heading towards our favourite Capybara? Hmm. And finally, to close out the year, our big New Year's special arrives. Coco and Kira's New Year's Eve. A Coco Club exclusive. This story follows Koko and Kira as they take part in Sleepy Forest's New Year traditions for the very first time. There are sparkly outfits, a special feast, nighttime adventures, and one moment that Koko has been dreaming about for years. I won't spoil anything, but let's just say it is a New Year's Eve they will remember forever. December can be full of big celebrations and big feelings. And however you're celebrating this year, remember that the quiet moments matter just as much as the sparkly ones. And to have the most fun, you've got to make sure you're fully rested. Sweet dreams to you all and Merry Christmas.
