Living at the de Vere family mansion was a dream come true for anyone. The beautiful expansive house with massive bedrooms was surrounded by acres and acres of land and perfectly groomed gardens. There was a tennis court and an outdoor swimming pool, not to mention a cinema room inside the house and a humongous walk in fridge. There was enough room for 10 people to live in the de Vere mansion, but There were only five in total Mr. And Mrs. De Vere, their two children, Belle and Finley and Granny Marta. However, Belle and Finlay kept the house busy by filling it with pets. Finley had a pet chinchilla called Mr. Chill who lived in a luxurious cage in his bedroom, and Belle was the master of a sprightly little dachshund called Missy Chipolata, who wandered the halls alerting everyone to her presence with a bell hanging off her collar. Mr. Chill and Missy Chipolata had a delightful life in the de Vere mansion. They were some of the luckiest pets around. While Mr. Chill was perfectly satisfied lying in his cage all day reciting poetry and listening to music, Missy Chapalata preferred to explore and keep herself busy. Although after a while of living in the thrilling mansion, Missy was growing a little bored with it all. She had watched all of the films available in the cinema room. She had walked around every crevice of land surrounding the house. She had perfected her doggy paddle in the outdoor pool and was now a skilled swimmer. Plus she had tried every flavour of doggie ice cream available in the kitchen freezer. Missy sometimes wished she could be as easily contented as Mr. Chill. And while away the days reading and listening to music, Missy felt like she needed a new challenge. Fortunately, something new and exciting was about to happen in the grand de Vere home. One day, Belle returned home with a surprise for them all. They had a new pet. A teeny tiny teacup sized pig. The little piglet had been adopted out of a pig pen and into the lap of luxury and was to be called Sir Pinky. Sir Pinky was as cute as a button. He was pale pink with a long round snout and little pointed ears on his head that pricked up towards the sky. He had a perfect corkscrew tail and itsy bitsy trotters that made a clicking sound on the floor as he walked. When he was happy he would snort with glee and when he was excited he would squeal with delight. Belle and the whole family were besotted with Sir Pinky and thought he was the most adorable creature they had seen since Since Missy Chipolata was a pup. Belle thought he was so cute that she dressed him in a pretty pink tutu. Sir Pinkie had certainly struck gold by being adopted into the de Vere family household and lucky for him, he had two fellow pets who were thrilled to share their space with him.
