Hey, koala kids, it's Abby here. I am so excited to share that the results of our spooky Koala Moon Halloween competition are finally in. We had so many incredible entries and trust me, it was really hard to choose just one winner. But after lots of oohs and ahhs here at Sleep hq, we finally made our decision. So, drumroll, please. Our winner is Greta, aged 8. Greta, you absolutely amazed us. We can tell you worked so hard on your entry. Greta drew Kira as a pumpkin in a full Halloween scene and even made her move around on a lollipop stick. How clever is that? And that's not all. She also dressed up as a scary green witch with her adorable new puppy, Rudy. I bet Rudy would have had an epic time trick or treating with Hector and Sunny. Now, I have to say, choosing a winner was so tough. We had so many imaginative entries from all around the world. So, without further ado, I want to give a big shout out to some of our other amazing koala kids who entered. First up, we had some of the coolest Halloween costumes I've ever seen. Hazel, aged seven, from Cornwall, dressed up as a frog wizard. I mean, how original is that? Then we had Mason, age 9, who seriously has to be one of the biggest Halloween pros out there, dressing up as the Joker, and spongebob. Both were total showstoppers. And last but not least, Ellie, aged eight. You look like a real life robot. You even wore robot shoes and socks made out of tinfoil. Such hard work. We also had some absolutely brilliant Halloween artwork. Ted, age 5, from Tunbridge, drew the most adorable spooky versions of Coco, Kira, Prickles and Camo, and even dressed up as Coco himself in a koala onesie. Arabella, aged six, from Nashville, sent in a drawing of a spooky ghost and a witch, and even came up with a story about a monster who eats things from a dresser. It totally reminded me of our friend Snaffles. Shout out to Jasmine, aged 10. Your witch drawing was so detailed and neat. I think you're going to be an amazing artist one day. Ellie, aged 9, from Auckland, drew so many of our sleepy forest friends. There was Potato and Beans, Hector and Sunny, and even Sidney the Squirrel, all in their costumes. What a masterpiece. A big hello to Scarlet, age 9, in Massachusetts. We loved your drawing of Cappy and Tito trick or treating at Coco's cabin. And your Halloween poem was beautiful too. And Amelia, aged seven, from Lincolnshire, your Halloween drawing of Disco and friends made us all smile. Oh, we also can't forget our amazing pumpkin entries we have Arielle, who made Sprout the Pumpkin. This was part scarecrow, part witch and part pumpkin. It's so creative. And finally, Ella and Zoe, your pumpkin carvings were marvellous, even if you did find it all a little slimy, which I personally think is the best part. Every single one of you made our Halloween extra magical this year. I'm so proud of how creative our community is. If you'd like to see Greta's winning creation along with all the other amazing entries, head over to our socials at KoalaKids FM. And trust me, you're going to want to see these. They even have amazing bedding for our kids too, so everyone in the family can enjoy a little extra cosiness. Honestly, their duvet covers, sheets and pillowcases have completely transformed my room. As parents, some parts of the job get easier, like when your kids can finally make their own snacks or get ready for bed. But other lessons like teaching them about money, take a little more care. When my kids were little, we'd talk before bed about what they wanted to save up for. A book, a toy, sometimes even something for someone else. Those chats are lovely, but it's hard to turn them into real world lessons. That's where Green Light comes in. A debit card and money app made for families. Parents can send money, track spending and set saving goals while kids build money, confidence and real life financial skills. There's even a chores feature where you can set up tasks and reward kids when they're complete. I have to say, if my kids had been paid to do the dishes, they'd have been a lot more motivated. Kids learn to save, spend wisely and even invest with you all through fun, easy tools that make money management part of everyday life. It's no wonder millions of parents and kids are learning about money together on Greenlight, the number one family finance and safety app. Don't wait to teach your kids real world money skills.
