Tonight I want to introduce you to a brand new world. Well, maybe not brand new, but there are some parts of the Koala kingdom that we haven't fully explored yet. So this month we're going to go on some very special adventures with some of your best loved characters, learning more about the places they like to call home. As I simply couldn't wait to tell you about this, I thought I could give you a sneak peek at these new lands with a mini version of what's to come. So take a deep breath in and imagine that you're no longer in your snuggly bed, but you're on the edge of the magical Koala kingdom. Can you hear the distant hoot of an owl? Or a gentle trickle of sleepy river? Great. That means you're ready to begin our journey. It is dusk and you're walking along the edge of a field, along a hedgerow. Perhaps you're searching for blackberries. Perhaps you're quietly trailing a mouse you've spotted scurrying across the field. Or perhaps you're throwing a ball high into the air and catching it again, narrowing your eyes to see it in the final golden rays of sunlight. Whatever you're doing, something makes you pause. Something mysterious, a shimmering in the air. Or the sound of distant chimes like an invisible spell is being cast. You glance at the hedge beside you and to your great surprise you discover that there is a hole in it. You comb through your memory, but you can't remember ever seeing this hole before. Maybe you've just never noticed it before. Maybe it's brand new. You crouch down low in the long grass to peer through the hole. Back and back it goes, impossibly far back, forming a long tunnel through the hedgerow. You cannot see what is on the other side of the tunnel, but you can see a warm glow at the end. And that shimmering in the air, that tinkling of chimes increases. It seems to be coming from through the tunnel. A beautiful sound, soothing and enchanting. You simply can't resist. And so you start crawling through the tunnel. The ground is soft beneath your knees. The hedges twigs have been worn smooth by previous travellers and scratch softly against your clothes and the top of your head. You can hear tiny leaves dropping all around you. At last you reach the end of the tunnel. You clamber out, get to your feet and dust off your knees. When you look up, you discover you're at the edge of a forest and you have a companion. A koala stands before you, dressed in overalls with a sunset orange backpack slung over his shoulders. He's a koala you already know very well. You're Koko, you say. Yup, the koala says. I certainly am. And would you like to know a secret? You nod. Of course. You always want to know a secret. Koko leans before you and gives you a friendly wink. I've been waiting for you. I was wondering if you'd like to go on an adventure. You nod even more. Yes, please, you say. What kind of an adventure? Koko tells you that for quite some time now, he's been wanting to show you around some very special lands of the Koala kingdom. Some lands you might not have visited before, or some you may want to know more about, lands full of whimsical wonders and forever friends. And what's more, he says, I've got some guides to show you around. That's when you notice you're not alone. Behind Koko there are four more figures, and you know them too. There's Capy the capybara with her little chickadee friend Tito. They're standing beside a tiny Aztec temple holding a poster that reads, welcome to Wonder Jungle. And there's Munchie the raccoon in his leather jacket. He's standing next to an open grate in the ground like the kind you'd find in a city. And there's a wonky sign. Welcome to Moonbeam Heights, it says. Next. There's the yeti who just loves spaghetti, standing beside a swinging ski lift which leads high above the trees and away. A notice board beside the ski lift reads, welcome to Pillowy Peaks. And last, there's Zen the pufferfish, hopping out of a little pool of water to say hello. Beside the water hole is a sign that reads, welcome to Harmony Cove. You read the names one by one. Wonder Jungle, Moonbeam Heights, Pillowy Peaks, Harmony Cove. That's right, koko says with a grin. So many marvellous places to discover, so many adventures to enjoy. So many friends to meet. There's just one question. Are you coming with us?
