We talk the worst in our own heads. The conditioning of our past and the stories we've told ourselves in our worst moments seem to be the one that reverberate the loudest when we're not feeling our best.
When you're in that mindset, it can be very difficult to find inspiration from the world around you. That can lead to mindless scrolling on Instagram and TikTok, binging reality TV and generally tuning into content that does not serve you well or provide any source of inspiration or opportunity to shift your mindset.
Getting curious about new content in the form of self-help or self-empowerment books, philosophy about the world around us, collective consciousness, mindfulness podcasts and interviews with experts are the best way to change your routine and listen to and learn from people who've also experienced these asshole-eras themselves, but have found new ways to chart neural pathways that allowed them to perform their best in the world around them and come to situations with a more positive mindset.
