Josh
There's this guy right now who's all over my TikTok page, and he claims for the past 40 years he's been channeling an alien from another dimension. And he's like, speaking, and he like, kind of like brings them into his body.
Jess
Some people do it once, have a great experience, they might have a bad one, but then there's some people that they do it. They're never the same anymore. I've seen, like, people who have been dead come to my life. Like, I remember I had a dream. I remember, like, I saw. I was hanging out with my grandma. This is.
Josh
I don't even want to talk about this, but the artist, Oliver Tree, who recently passed. But dude, what trips me out is like a lot of the stuff, like, leading up to his death, like, he was on podcast and saying certain things, and it just like, you kind of like, trip out. You're like. Almost like he had, like an intuition. La Plata Nation. The World cup is on and popping. And we've been going to the games. Have you been going? Look, look, don't worry, don't worry. We got you covered. We got an app, it's called SeatGeek, right? They got all your ticketing needs, whatever you're looking for. World cup, late night, date nights, other sporting events, concerts, everything, everything, everything.
Jess
But we got you covered.
Josh
We got you covered.
Jess
La Platika 10. 10% off your ticketed purchase. Guys, the World cup is here. It's insane. You don't want to miss it. Don't, don't, don't be the guy next year and be like, man, we should have went.
Josh
Should have went for him. Should have gone for him.
Jess
It's expensive. But you know what? Memories are priceless, dude.
Josh
We're like decked out in Mexico. I think they get that we're into the World Cup. Like, this is screaming World Cup. We love you guys. Make sure to download the CK Gap. Remember, green dot means good, red dot means bad. Use the code about the. Got 10 for 10 off. And we'll see you guys in 12.4. 12.4.
Jess
I don't know what he said.
Josh
Segundos. Yeah, I'm gonna use it.
Guest Jess
Let me be honest.
Jess
Every guest is a privilege.
Josh
Do we want to go there?
Jess
Yeah, Jolly. Cause I'm on a podcast with Josh Ley. Hell yeah. You have too, mother.
Josh
Ladies and gentlemen, let me just tell you.
Guest Jess
2:53. Sorry. Cause I'm gonna fix that.
Josh
Oh, my God. Chaos happening in La Platica Studios. Guys, bear with us. So sorry. Technical difficulties going down. It's chaos. Welcome back to La Platica. It's not normally like this. We're normally more equipped, but, you know. You know, happens sometimes, bro. Life happens.
Jess
Sometimes does happen.
Josh
There's a. There's a lot of echo. Am I tripping?
Jess
No, I think you're tripping.
Josh
I was tripping. I hear you.
Jess
I hear you pretty good.
Josh
Yo. Before we get into this episode, we recently had Luisito on the podcast, and we did a clip where we were asking him his favorite tacos in the United States outside of Mexico.
Jess
Yeah.
Josh
And he. I want to talk about this. He said New York. And here's the thing. We do not agree with him. Okay. There were some comments where people were like, I think the way I. The clip was positioned, it kind of made it seem like I was agreeing with him. I knew he was going to say New York once. He didn't say L. A. Because like I said in the video, I was like, you don't take me for a Tex Mex guy.
Guest D
Yeah.
Josh
You take me for. And I just assume New York.
Jess
Yeah.
Josh
Because I'm like, that's another great food spot.
Jess
It's.
Guest D
It's.
Jess
I think it's number one food spot in the world in general.
Josh
But if we're talking tacos.
Jess
But if we're talking tacos. Okay. I'm not. I don't want to interrupt you. I'll have my chance.
Josh
Go.
Jess
Okay.
Josh
So that's the thing. Look, I was born and raised in la. I've had the privilege to travel to Texas. I've had privilege to travel, like, different
Jess
states and flex on us, G. You
Josh
know what I'm saying? I'm always spending money, lots of money.
Jess
A lot of party passes.
Josh
No, but I'm trying tacos. Of course. I love Mexican food. Tacos are probably my number one food that I love to eat. Right.
Guest Jess
Really?
Josh
And I've had tacos in New York. And there's this one spot in particular called Tacos Numero Uno.
Guest D
Yes.
Josh
And those tacos are insanely good. They're insanely good. But that is the only spot in New York that I've really had good tacos. And I probably had maybe. I don't know, let's just take five spots. And I was like, okay, that spot's bomb. But you go to la, bro, you can. You can chuck a quarter, right? And you'll hit a taco spot. I guarantee you those tacos are some of the best tacos you've ever had in your life.
Guest D
Yeah.
Josh
So I just want to clarify that that Was his take, not my take. Okay. Tacos la. I mean, tacos in LA are my favorite places. My favorite place to eat tacos outside of Mexico.
Jess
Yes.
Josh
Because if you talk about Mexico, tacos, like, for me, my favorite tacos in the world is tacos orinocos from Mexico City. That is my favorite entire planet.
Jess
Oh, really? Okay, Probably. Now I know. Now I know what to get you for your birthday gift cards.
Guest D
Yeah,
Jess
yeah. So he said that. I was actually very surprised that he said that. Now, mind you, it's like, dude, we're talking about. I think he's the second most famous YouTuber in Mexico.
Josh
If not number one.
Jess
It's not number one, but the dude has 45 million subs, bro. So it's like I, I will place a bet on Kalshi that he has had more tacos in New York than myself.
Josh
Use our code.
Jess
Right. So.
Josh
Just kidding.
Jess
So what I'm trying to say is, like, dude, maybe he's right. And yo, to be honest with you, I've gone to New York and it is a. To me, it's the food capital of the world, dude. The food, it's.
Josh
It's amazing.
Jess
The vibes, the restaurants, the Michelin stars, the bars, even the night scene. Oh, New York is a fantastic place. If you haven't had a chance to go to New York, please book your ticket. Only if you can book airline flights through SeatGeek. But you can. But this would only allow me to tell you that this video is sponsored by SeatGeek, number one rated ticketing app on the App Store. But New York is the Mecca of food. I definitely agree with that. Now a lot of people were saying that, oh, no, he's wrong this and that. Look, I personally, I'm not going to say he's wrong because he might have another experience. Look, tacos number uno. Fire, right?
Josh
Yeah.
Jess
There's also a place called Tacos Ramirez, I think, in New York. Super fire. Right. So there's places. Now, they also said on the comments, because I saw. Because the clip went viral, obviously. Why wouldn't it go viral?
Josh
By the way, he commented on it today.
Jess
Today?
Josh
Yeah, double down.
Jess
And he basically said, I stand.
Josh
I said what I said.
Jess
I said what I said. And I respect that. So I'm not gonna say he's wrong. His experience might be different than mine, but what really stood out to me.
Josh
Wait, can I say something? You're not going to say he's wrong. I'm going to say he's wrong.
Jess
That's fine.
Josh
I'm going to Say he's dead wrong. I'm going to say he's so fucking wrong. I'm a little. I don't even know if you understood the question.
Jess
Got it, got it, got it. No, no, no, I understand. I'm not saying. Like I said, I'm not saying he's wrong, but I also have a different opinion. Yeah, like, that's not my pick, but, like, if he thinks that cool, I have to respect it. Right?
Josh
Here's the thing. It wasn't. It wasn't like an option question. It was a. It was a true or false question. Yeah, it was a rhetorical question. Yeah, I'm joking, I'm joking. No, I get your point. Like everybody.
Jess
And like I said, his experience in New York might have been so much different. Now, let me tell you something real quick. Now, what really stood out to me is that I didn't know this, but he's from Puebla, lives in Mexico City. Right. I don't know if you saw this as well, but people from Puebla migrate to New York, a huge majority. And I know that for a fact because every time I go to New York, I run into somebody from Puebla. It's.
Guest D
It's.
Jess
They're. They're everywhere in New York.
Josh
That's interesting.
Jess
Shout out, Puebla. So maybe in his eyes, you know what I mean? Like, if you're coming home, you're coming from somewhere and. And, you know, things hit, like, from home, that might be your pick.
Josh
So now, mind you, you're just kind of piecing this together to make it make sense.
Jess
Mind you, that's not my number one pick. My number one pick. The best tacos in the world are here in Southern California.
Josh
In the world.
Jess
Not. Not mine. Is Mexico. Like, coming back to the actual question is, outside of Mexico, where are the best tacos in the world, though? Okay, sorry. Outside of Mexico, the best tacos. Yes, in the United States. Because I don't think anywhere else. There is a place in Japan. They make great tacos, too. That's another conversation. But in the United States, for me, the best tacos are in Southern California. And. But he. But this was going to upset you. They're not in la, I have to say. They're in the San Diego county region. I'm sorry. I lived in Murrieta for a very long time, and for years and years and years, I go to San Diego. Shout out, San Diego. Not the Padres, but I go to San Diego all the time. And I kid you not.
Josh
You know why? I kind of see what you're saying.
Jess
And the only reason why I say
Josh
that, because they're next to Tijuana, is because.
Jess
Yes. And because me personally, my favorite taco being in Mexico. Mexico doesn't make just one taco every region. Tacos, Estilo, Jalisco tacos, even tacos that Yucatan are so much different. That's a beautiful thing about Mexico. People don't know that, you know. So my favorite type of taco, son Estilo Tijuana. That's me. Because right there and then my second is probably like the area from Sonora, because I do love Tortilla Arena.
Josh
Yeah.
Jess
So it's like, you know, so it's like. That's why I personally think that the best tacos are. They're here too. Angels Tijuana style tacos here in la. Crazy fire. Insane Crazy fire.
Josh
Yeah.
Jess
And a lot of people have it like that. You know what I mean? Like, they know how to do it. There's another one that I just came out with. I just saw them online and their tacos look so freaking good, I forgot. I forgot their name, but it's the same thing. Estilo Tijuana.
Josh
So that's your.
Jess
That's my.
Josh
That's your.
Jess
So like I said, I've been to San Diego many times and they deliver. I think they deliver better tacos. I'm so sorry. I. I rep L A. You've seen the tattoo.
Josh
I'm not gonna lie. I was, I was a little surprised by his answer, if I'm being honest, because he, he, he tends to be very, like, well, well versed in, like, food.
Jess
Yeah, right.
Josh
And he was like, very, like, no, it's definitely not la.
Jess
Yeah. And you know what? I respect it. And you know what else I was thinking too? He is such a content creator that I wouldn't be surprised if he said that. If he planted that just to you guys up.
Josh
Wow.
Jess
Just because he's so great. And I thought about that. He know what he was doing. You know, either he knew what he was doing or he's just such a g. And he said, I don't give a. They're from New York. And look, a lot of people in the comments, they held it down for New York. They're like, you guys are stupid. You guys just don't know.
Josh
Wow.
Jess
Yeah. You guys just don't know. And I respect it. I respect it. Like I said, that's not my pick.
Josh
Yeah.
Jess
I think that the best, best, best tacos are here in Southern California or in California. Southern California. And specifically, from my experience, just like, how he had his Experience from the San Diego county region. And also, I got a lot of complaints. And I'm so sorry Lucito was here. Right. Epic guy to be with. Two things. And remind me, because I'm going to talk about two things. The first thing is the amount of time we had with them. And the second thing is I saw a comment saying, like, why are you guys speaking English? Okay, so for the first time, for the first section of my conversation is the amount of time. Guys, this guy was on a media run for Grandmalo. Look, we still have the bottles here,
Josh
these little shooters at their launch.
Jess
Dude, we with Luisito, because if we didn't, I just toss these out, but I with them. He's one of my favorite YouTubers of all time. I love him. I love his personality. I've been so hyped to have him. So when we got blessed with the opportunity for him to be here, obviously, yes, like, what the. We're so excited. But he's a busy guy, and honestly, he didn't want to leave. But the time and the team that he had with him, like, you guys don't see behind this camera, there was a whole team.
Josh
There was a whole team, and they're all watching us.
Guest D
Yeah.
Jess
And Honestly, it was 40, 45 minutes. I. I forgot. But the whole time, they were actually from, like, 30, 35. They were like, hey, we got to.
Guest D
We got to go. We got to go.
Jess
They had a whole timeline of their day planned out. So I'm so sorry, but at the end of the day, yeah, obviously, I would just be here kicking in with them. For seven hours, bro. Yeah, for seven hours, bro. Obviously. I hope Wrestle. I pray that one day he can come back. If not, totally fine. I am happy with my life and him being here now. That's why he had to leave. So I'm so sorry, but at the end of the day, it's not me or us being like. It's not like we planned 45 minutes, dude. I don't have him here all day long. But like I said, I have to respect his time.
Guest Jess
And.
Jess
And at the end of the day, I'm grateful he was even here, even if it was for five minutes. You know what I mean? So I. Sorry. Sorry that you guys feel that way. The second thing is, I saw some comment about you guys were taking advantage of something, something, something. Why didn't you guys talk in. In Spanish or English? I try to speak as much Spanish to him as possible, but I kid you not. He wanted to talk in English. Yeah, him and his whole Team, mind you, obviously this is a American Latino podcast. Obviously we speak English on my behalf. I like to speak English and Spanish sometimes when there's a Spanish speaker. But I don't know if you guys know this, but obviously there's 90% women here, 10% men. But I would like to say that about 100% of you speak English and know Spanish. So I have to be mindful as well that you guys also sometimes might not understand full Spanish. So I don't know if you guys noticed, but every time I always repeat the next sentence. The same sentence, but in English, just so the people that didn't catch that now. Except for that time.
Josh
Yeah.
Jess
So I'm sorry that he didn't speak that much Spanish and there wasn't any. Like, I just saw a comment. It was kind of like weird. It threw me off. Like, why aren't you guys speaking more Spanish?
Guest D
Blah, blah, blah.
Jess
Something about taking advantage of something. I don't know.
Josh
I. Bro, if Cash App could give you a discount anywhere you wanted, where
Jess
are you picking easy airport food? Why am I paying $18 for a turkey sandwich every time we travel?
Josh
Facts, my brother, facts. I'd probably use mine on coffee because somehow I'm buy buying one every single day.

Josh
Sammy Sosa so so we think so. We think it's not. It's not. It's not verified. It's not.
Jess
Dude, I checked online, and it's the
Josh
same signature, but it's usually, if it's verified, there's, like, a little silver sticker that they, like, put on it to.
Jess
Oh, that's what it was when I got it. I thought it was, like, the lids and I took it off.
Josh
You're lying. It needs to be authenticated. There's an authentication.
Jess
Oh, shit. You're right. Oh, my God. And a QR code.
Josh
Let me see.
Jess
It says, witness autograph.
Guest D
There you go. Oh.
Josh
What?
Jess
Whoa. But, yeah, so I did feel bad that people were saying that. Beckett. Authentic authentication Certification verification Item name Bat signer Sammy Sosa in 2026. Beckett witnessed in Illinois. So is Chicago.
Josh
Is there a video?
Jess
It says, enter the serial number.
Josh
They're just, like, made up. Some guy. No, that guy, dude. He totally saw him sign it.
Jess
We'll do this later. It's not important. Music.
Josh
Yup, that's him.
Jess
But, bro, it's. Sammy Sosa signed it. Gracias, Sammy. I know that you're a big fan of the Practica. Thanks for sign that.
Josh
He's one of. He's one of the 10 of male listeners. Yeah, you guys don't know that, but.
Jess
No, but honestly, Josh, I did feel bad that people were like, well, 40 minutes because, you know, I feel bad sometimes we do quick 45ers and stuff. But, bro, with Luisito, I wanted to be there for, like, two hours. And, you know, even on the back end, a lot of people don't know, but, like, you know, even, like, they were like, hey, can we film now? Even when it was scheduled later time and Josh wasn't even in the building,
Josh
I was literally at home working, and
Jess
he had to, like, dip.
Guest D
Yeah.
Josh
Just called me, and I. I thought it was something more serious. He's like, yeah, he comes to the studio right now. I'm like, what happened?
Jess
Yeah, but he's such a great guy, man. You can. You can feel the aura. You know what I mean? Yeah, it's really cool.
Josh
He's that guy, bro.
Jess
He literally is that guy.
Josh
Lucito, 45 million people have at one point in their life hit the subscribe button to watch him think about that. 45 million people, bro. I just hit my chin on this mic. Yeah, but that's wild. It's wild. That's wild.
Jess
It's. He's a huge inspiration, doing big things and representing Mexico to the fullest.
Josh
Yeah.
Jess
And allowing other people outside of Mexico to follow him. And I think he. His camaraderie, his character, his.
Josh
Yeah. Also just to add to your point, too, he's also creating a space to utilize his platform. Right. For example, like, him coming on our podcast helps out la platica. Like, he doesn't have to do this.
Jess
He didn't have to.
Josh
So, like, having somebody like that also pays it forward and, like, kind of shows love.
Jess
Yeah, yeah, yeah. And he. And. And mind you, if. If. If it was too short for here, gong through the corner, too. I think he did, like, 45 to an hour over there. I think they had a little bit more time, right?
Guest Jess
Yeah, yeah, we had, like, almost. Yeah. A little more than an hour.
Jess
Yeah. And I'm telling you, you can ask Jess. Time was crunching.
Josh
Yep, yep. So very true. Speaking of Mexico. Mexico's moving on, baby.
Jess
Dude, Mexico not only is moving on, but they beat their group stage, and they're undefeated right now.
Josh
They're undefeated.
Jess
It feels good, man. Mexico has never lost an El Estadio Azteca, and it's because of the fans, the energy being in Mexico.
Josh
The next game is there as well. And if they win that game, which they will, when they win that game, they get to play there again.
Jess
Oh, yeah.
Josh
So I'm like, bro, this is set up in our favor. Like, the gods are for us also.
Jess
Us, too. And then us plays at SoFi the whole time, basically.
Josh
So I got to give credit to Tyler here, but he posted something saying, well, since, you know, Mexico was. Has become sponsored by Taylor Saluth, you know, as the official hydration sponsor. They haven't lost a game in the World Cup.
Jess
They haven't.
Josh
So I don't know.
Jess
They're, like, highly hydrated.
Josh
They're so hydrated, bro. There you go. There you go. No, but it's honestly such a beautiful thing, bro. I. I cannot tell you how proud I feel, how excited I am.
Jess
The.
Josh
The joy I feel to see people celebrating and representing, you know, Mexico. I think it's just such a beautiful thing. I got a chance to go to Walahara for game two.
Jess
I was going to ask you.
Josh
And that was just electric, bro. I've never been in a city that just felt so alive. Like, you know, people say that, like, bro, the city was alive. People on the streets, all those videos you've seen on Tick Tock, they're all real and they're all. It's just chaos, bro. But it's like, beautiful, beautiful chaos.
Guest D
Yeah.
Josh
And people are just happy. And, of course, Mexico's Winning. So it's just. Yeah, it's just beautiful all around, man.
Jess
It's different because it's. It would happen regardless of a win or a loss, but when they're winning.
Josh
Yeah, it's crazy.
Jess
You can feel something in the air, right?
Josh
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Jess
Okay. Hot take. But I've known Josh for many, many years. I would say a decade, maybe. I don't know. Forgot, don't care. But he's been in Mexico City, and
Josh
I've been to Guadalajara.
Jess
And he's been to Guadalajara.
Josh
Yeah.
Jess
And I asked him. I asked him, you guys know that my family is from Jalisco? And I asked him, where do you prefer? And Josh answered a question.
Josh
So I will say I probably have done more exploration in Mexico City.
Jess
Yes.
Josh
I've been to Guadalajara twice.
Jess
Yes.
Josh
One of them was for a wedding, for let's do Makeup. Shout out to let's do Makeup. And then the second time was for the World Cup. So those are huge moments.
Jess
Okay.
Josh
So I think what that does to your heart and write your experience, it changes it, because it's not like you're not just taking a trip. Like, there's, like, a meaningful impact behind. Behind it. So I think, like, being in that atmosphere in Guadalajara during that time, I was like, I am in love with this place.
Guest D
Yeah.
Josh
I'm in love with the people. I'm in love with the energy, bro. I'm telling you, like, everything just felt so, like, vibrant and the people. But here's the thing, bro. For me, the things that make. Or the things that make cities beautiful or places beautiful are the people.
Jess
Sure.
Josh
And the people in that time were just winning my heart left and right.
Jess
Got it.
Josh
You know? So that is what captured me for Guadalajara, and I should have clarified that, because it's not so much like. Like, oh, the city has so much more to offer. It was like, bro, the. That energy that was just there in that moment. I was like, I love Guadalajara. I love it. And. And I did say a take. I was like, I think I prefer this over Mexico.
Jess
You said you were gonna live there.
Josh
I said, I move here. Yeah.
Jess
I don't know if you're drunk.
Josh
No, I was definitely drunk.
Guest Jess
Yeah.
Josh
But also. Yeah.
Jess
So you're saying.
Josh
Well, I don't know, because. Because this World cup, like I said, so it's people from all over. All over Mexico, all over the United States, all over the world, bro. I was partying with the Koreans. We're taking dummy shots, bro. So it's like, all of that is what made it. You Know what I mean? All of that is what made it. But yes, to your point. Yes.
Jess
Yeah.
Josh
To a degree.
Jess
What a great experience.
Josh
It was incredible, bro. It was incredible. I. I want to go back to Mexico City for the World cup because they're playing in Azteca to see what that's like.
Jess
Yeah, same.
Josh
Because that's going to be insane.
Jess
I know. I'm telling. I've been traveling a lot with, with Karen and you know, we're like, should we just do another side quest? You know, it's like, it's worth it. We just want to be planted. But it's like, should we just. I mean, first of all, tickets, like, if you haven't bought airplane tickets and like, you decide to go. Yeah, first of all, like, I think only like Frontier has tickets and they're like 900 bucks.
Josh
It's. It's so stupid.
Jess
It's crazy expensive right now. And then, and then Karen's like, is it like illegal to like have them deck this high? I'm like, to a degree, I don't know. But it's just supply and demand, baby. That's how the world works.
Josh
No, but they are, like, really expensive. More than usual. Because. Because even like the face value tickets that FIFA was selling them for, people were complaining because even at Qatar four years ago, tickets were not that expensive. So, yeah, there is a. There is a crazy another side of FIFA that. Yeah, we can get into FIFA. So interesting, bro, like, the way they, like, maneuver these.
Jess
Can we, like, can we talk about the. The main dude of FIFA and why he looks so diabolical? Jesus Christ. The man's the winner.
Josh
Like, he's basically.
Jess
He's at every game. The, the bald guy, obviously he can fly a jet. I mean, he's in North America, but he can go to any game he wants. Obviously he's in metal. Metal. But why does he look like he
Josh
looked this up was bald, man.
Guest Jess
I don't know his name. And you guys aren't helping.
Jess
His name is Gianni Infantino. Look, bro, he looks like, bless his heart, he might be like the best dad ever, but Dr. Damn, he looks so evil.
Josh
He is, bro.
Jess
And like, he runs FIFA and like the negative things around it, I mean, he's the one calling the shot. So it's like, I don't know, man. I don't know if I trust that. Oh, I don't know if I trust that.
Josh
Look what they've created. The organ this tournament is. There was one of the greatest tournaments in the world ever.
Jess
Ever.
Josh
So, like, to you Know, to their credit, like, they're obviously doing something right.
Jess
Yeah, of course.
Josh
There's a lot of just. I don't know, I don't know.
Jess
No, yeah. FIFA knows how to put it, knows how to organize it really beautifully. Yeah, in a way. But pricing is a different thing. But organization wise, like, yeah, it's a beautiful thing. But at the end of the day, like, what makes that beautiful is the humans who play soccer, dude. From every ethnic, from every country, from everything. And all the highlights and everything that they do, they're, they're come up from kids and stuff like that. So that's what makes soccer beautiful, football beautiful.
Josh
I love when my, I love marketing and I love when brands get creative in their marketing and find what's working and what's happening around them that they can build around. So for example, like, FIFA is getting a lot of, you know, they're, they're not allowing anybody to promote their brand unless they're paying for it. You got to pay. You got to pay to play. And I get it. Right. They're running a business, but they are so unbelievably strict. I saw a photo where there was like a suite for a World cup game. And all the, the condiments were taped out so you couldn't see any brand. Like the ketchup. Nothing. Like every single condiment was taped up so you couldn't see who it is. And even for Levi's stadium, they covered it. And what Levi did was they, you, they put that as their logo. So if you are. Yeah, the. Because it's like, it's like almost like a white blanket that they like over it. So they, they use that as their logo. And I just think it's really creative when brands do stuff like that. Also Gillette, for their stadium, to cover it up, they almost made it feel like it was like foam, like shaving. Shaving cream. And I'm like, bro, that is so genius. And I just, I, I learned a lot from that. Like just being able to like leverage in and lean into, you know, you know, different ways to, to like market your brand. Yeah. And I think that was, that was, that was really cool.
Jess
Yeah, it's like that one saying goes, like, when life gives you.
Josh
Look at this.
Jess
When life gives you lemons.
Josh
That is so funny. And then did you see the Levi, the actual. If you go on their, like Instagram. Jess. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Jess
And then it's their default pick.
Josh
It's their default pick.
Guest Jess
Yeah.
Guest D
There's a. I want to get your guys opinion, see what you would do in this situation. But a Belgium player who's playing in the World cup, he left to go back home because his wife, they're expecting their first child. Yeah. So he left his team to go be there for the first. The birth of his first bro.
Jess
Are you gonna ask me what I would do?
Guest D
Yeah. What would you.
Josh
Okay, this is a side. This is a side note. This is a side note. I don't know if you guys know this, but Ohtani recently had his second baby, and he was at the game the next day. I saw him play the next day, and I'm like, you're questioning.
Jess
That's what I was gonna ask. Okay. The Belgian player, Estee Tulad.
Guest D
Yeah.
Jess
He's like, metal. Metal top dog.
Guest D
Yeah.
Jess
Oh. Because if I wasn't, then I would go. But if not, I think my baby later on in life will understand.
Josh
Is it.
Jess
I have the country and I'm all back.
Josh
It's his first baby. Damn, dude.
Jess
Bro, you got a country on your back on the World Cup.
Josh
But at least, like Ohtani, like, just go the birth, and then you got to come back, bro. You know what I mean? Is that. Is that what he, like, he left for?
Jess
Yeah.
Josh
But he wants to be there for his wife and everything. Of course.
Guest Jess
Yeah.
Josh
But if I get it, it's tough, man.
Jess
If I was a Belgian player and I'm a top dog, I'm making, obviously, millions. Right. And you know that your wife is about to be pregnant. Someone's being born in Mexico or in LA or somewhere. My baby is going to be an American. I'm sorry. And later on, we'll figure out the dual citizenship. But other than that, like, you're supposed to know that. Why would you fly all the way back?
Guest D
Yeah.
Jess
I would already have it all planned out. You know what I mean?
Guest D
I didn't think about that. That dual citizenship, that. That works in your favor, too.
Jess
That's what I'm saying. Like, he didn't plan that out very well.
Guest D
And I feel like Belgium now, the whole country of Belgium, if they do good. No, I feel like if he would have done good if you would have stayed, I feel like the whole country would have loved the child.
Jess
Yeah.
Guest D
Honorary.
Josh
Wow.
Guest Jess
Hopefully he comes back in time and continues playing.
Guest D
Yeah.
Josh
How are they doing? Are they doing all right?
Jess
I think they are. No, let me check.
Guest D
I don't think they're doing.
Josh
They're not doing so hot.
Guest D
After he left, everything went down for them.
Josh
Wow, bro, that's such a tough position. But I'm not. I Was like, tripping out about Otani. They were like, yeah, he just had his baby yesterday. And I'm like, what? But I get it, man. I mean, you got to get back to work. You got to get back to work.
Jess
Yeah. I mean, who's. Who's not to. Who's not to say that he's at the hospital all day long and then he just goes to the game. The game's only three hours.
Josh
No, but they're there all day. I was there at batting practice at three. So he was at the stadium by like, 12.
Jess
You saw him?
Josh
Yeah, and I saw him. He was warming up. That's when the lady, like, came up to me and she was like.
Jess
And I think he had a boy.
Josh
Oh, wow.
Jess
A boy Otani.
Josh
Damn. And his wife is a crazy athlete as well.
Jess
She's a basketball player.
Josh
Crazy.
Jess
She's like a crazy athlete. Yeah, they're like an athlete family.
Josh
So they're moving on. Is Belgium moving on? Because they're third?
Guest D
Technically. Yeah, but they should be first place.
Jess
Yeah, but they're gonna play a first place team.
Guest D
Yeah.
Josh
Damn, dude, I'm having so much fun. The World cup, bro.
Jess
Oh, yeah, bro. I wait for it every four years and it's just last. Last time they came. Or was it when they were playing in Russia like eight years ago? I remember I just moved to the Valley and it happened. And I think they were in Russia, bro. Right. Now we have it easy.
Josh
Yeah, we.
Jess
We get to wake up and then like at 11, there's a game and throughout the whole day.
Josh
Yeah.
Jess
When they were playing in Russia, I was at the bar at 3am yeah, bro. Watching Mexico play, bro. Yeah, I mean, it's a vibe.
Josh
It is a vibe, but it gets.
Jess
It gets really tough because you're drinking, the bars are open, they're making exceptions. Like, it's cool, but, God, it's so nice to just have it at this time. In New York, they get to watch games, like, at 10, 11 at night, just starting.
Josh
That's crazy.
Jess
I was just in New York, in Queens. Shout out.
Josh
Queens, New York.
Jess
We went to go see Colombia versus.
Josh
That was a good game to be at.
Jess
Oh, my God, I forgot. Who did they play recently? And they won. No, no, no, no, no. Anyways, doesn't matter. Oh, all the Colombians were there in Queens, and it was just such a good time. It was really cool, dude.
Josh
It's crazy how much people put into this. I have a friend. I can't really call him out too much, but he. He's like, not Working. He's like, I'm taking a month off for the World Cup.
Jess
Good for him.
Josh
Yeah. And he's like, I don't. He's like, by the way, like, my boss doesn't really know I'm doing this.
Jess
Oh, shit.
Josh
Like, he's just doing it on the low. Like, not really working because he's working remote. But he's like, I don't even care if I get fired. Like, I love this. I love this. And he's, like, all in on it. And he's like. And it's not just me. There's, like, a group of us, like, people dedicate their whole, like, time just to watch games and sports, bet and commentate, and, like, just be around it, you know?
Jess
That's why football is the most. To me, it's the most beautiful sport in the world.
Josh
Yeah.
Jess
Even if you say that I watch baseball throughout every year and. And do that. But there's nothing like. Like football, bro.
Josh
Yeah.
Jess
There's nothing like it. And can the unique. Can the US Change the name? It's not like. Not like, not soccer. Like, it should be Football.
Guest D
Yeah.
Josh
Even if you say football.
Guest Jess
Yeah.
Josh
Even if you say football, it's still fine.
Jess
Yeah. Because, like, why did you guys have to, like, make it so difficult? You're the only people that say soccer.
Josh
And that word is so ugly, too. Soccer. It's just like. It's just the ugliest word.
Jess
And then football is football. And I'm like, doesn't even make sense. It should be called throwball.
Josh
Yeah.
Jess
Foot.
Josh
Yeah.
Jess
You don't use your feet.
Josh
Or even, like, handball or something. Or like, tackle ball.
Jess
Triangle ball.
Josh
Yeah.
Jess
Polygon ball.
Josh
Yeah, yeah. Anything.
Jess
What shape is old pig skin? Hey, Arnold.
Josh
Yeah.
Jess
Hey, Arnold. Ball.
Josh
Yeah.
Jess
Move it, football head. Are we too young for that? Yeah, right.
Josh
No, bro. I feel like our audience knows. Hey. Arnold is so nodding his head. Yes. If we're getting a nod from Saul. Yeah.
Jess
I don't know, man. So be. I don't even think he knows.
Josh
Rolly.
Jess
Polio.
Josh
Dude, there was something we said that I threw. That threw me off. No way. I told you, dude. Are you considered gen Z?
Guest D
I'm 1998.
Josh
He's considered clueless. You are. You are, bro. You're on the cusp. You're on the cusp. Yeah. You're considered that. Did you know that? Gen Z.
Jess
97 to 2012.
Josh
Did you know that it goes, like, in alphabetical order? I'm sorry. This is like a. People knew this. I had no idea. So Gen Z is the last generation. That's why it's Generation Alpha, because it's A. And we're millennials, which is actually, we're generation. What is it?
Guest D
Where.
Josh
That's. Millennials is like a. It's a nickname, but it's all in alphabetical order. I did not know this. Somebody told me this recently, and I was like, oh, my God, Is it Gen way? Yes. Yes. So we're technically Gen Y and then Gen Z, and then now it's Jenna. It's starting over, bro. We're in the restart of gens. That is kind of freaky.
Jess
Why does it cycle, though? Like, why does it restart? Like, why go back to the top?
Josh
And I can't. Can't create any more letters, bro. That is what it is. You got to keep it going.
Jess
Yeah, yeah.
Josh
There's this guy right now who's all over my TikTok page, and he claims for the past 40 years, he's been channeling an alien from another dimension. And he's, like, speaking, and he, like, kind of, like, brings them into his body. And, dude, the thing about it is that he. He's speaking, like, these things that, like, just feel right. Like, you're like, oh, shit, like this. That makes a lot of sense. But he's, like, talking about how he's channeling this alien from another dimension. It's crazy.
Jess
Can you send it to me?
Josh
I'll send it to you. You're gonna be so fascinated by. And he, like, closes his eyes. I'm not joking. He's like, well, the reason is because the people from the other planets. I've been trying to say, bus, blah, blah, blah, whatever. It's crazy, bro. And you're, like, kind of engaged. You're like, damn. But he's dropping, like, nuggets, like, wisdom and, like, it's crazy. I don't know.
Jess
I kind of like. I don't say.
Josh
I believe in that. I do.
Jess
Like, I do.
Josh
So you think you could. Somebody could channel, like, another being from another dimension?
Jess
100 yeah, I believe. I. I truly.
Josh
100.
Jess
I. I'm not trying to say things to, like, no, that doesn't, like, agree with my religion or something like that. I'm just talking, like, general basic. That I think about. I believe that people aren't like. I mean, me and you, probably the same maybe. I don't know, maybe we haven't unlocked powers or whatever, but I feel like everybody in this room is somewhat the same, but I do feel like sometimes humans are born. I don't know, maybe, like, with I mean, what runs your body, right? Like you don't have a battery in your ass, right? Like you don't know that.
Josh
You don't know that, dude.
Guest Jess
All right, why is it going to be in the.
Josh
Yeah, why does it got to be my ass?
Jess
Well, that. They said like it fits in there. It's like a perfect circle for a double A battery.
Guest Jess
Please don't put batteries up your ass.
Jess
You're still not on. I need 15 of them.
Josh
Oh, no, no. You put them on backwards, dude.
Guest D
Now you got to blow on it.
Josh
You got to blow on it.
Jess
You just hold your butt cheeks like this. They pop out. I believe that, you know, there's. There's something in you. That and me too. And everybody powers. That powers us, you know, Cuz we're just blood and mush, you know, and chemicals. But I do feel like there's some humans out there if you probably think I'm super. Whatever. I don't care.
Josh
Yeah. Nothing to lose.
Jess
I truly believe that some of us have like different sort of chemical combustions, maybe different types of metals. That we're just born like that, bro.
Josh
So there's this.
Jess
We're just born with different types of. Some of us are born with extreme types of energy waves, you know, and that's not your fault.
Josh
Yeah.
Jess
It's however your human was. Was. Was available. Like for example, maybe fish start hitting on eels because they have electric. Electric power. Why? Why does this have electric power and not me as a fish? We live in the same world. I don't know. The eel is different than you, bro. They were just different. And it sounds stupid, but it's just the truth.
Josh
I get what you're saying. I totally get what you're saying.
Jess
It's just like the homeboy that was here the other day that. Oh, that. That spoke to one of your family members.
Josh
Yeah.
Jess
And that was real life. He must be born with some different in his mind that just. Just. But she just clicks for him.
Josh
But bro, there is also people who are faking it. There's phonies out there. And that's where it gets dicey. That's where it gets dicey. And even this guy I'm talking about, like I'm. I'm intrigued by him, but I'm not. Like, this guy's super channeling aliens.
Guest Jess
Yeah.
Josh
This guy knows it, you know?
Guest Jess
Yeah.
Jess
And I'm not saying he's right either. I'm just saying there might be some sometimes humans in this world that just are a little bit more, I don't know. How to explain it? Their energy, they're, they're, they're waves.
Josh
I think you're right.
Jess
Their wavelengths are just higher than yours.
Josh
All right, maybe not mine, but, you know, I get it. There is this thing that I remember reading about how people don't really see ghosts anymore. And it's because like the day and age that we live in, with like technology and stuff, we're like kind of distracted. But like back in the days you would hear all these like crazy horror stories. And most of the movies that you see that are horror films, they're take place like, like way back when, when there wasn't technology because people were able to be more present.
Guest Jess
Yeah.
Josh
So when they're sitting there at night, you know, and they're like walk watching, they're like really observing everything and they're just more like self aware. They're just more in tune with the earth.
Guest D
Yeah.
Josh
You know, and I think that's kind of crazy too, because I'm like, bro, as soon as I have a little bit of anxiety, I'm on my phone, I'm on Tick Tock, on Kashi. Everything I got.
Jess
Exactly. Humans nowadays, we don't really care about that anymore. We don't. And that's the sad thing. You know, you go back to the. I always say this, but like when I went to Teotihuac and they talk about like those days and everything's so spiritual. It's because we don't have any of this. We don't have nothing. We don't have anything. All we do is we believe in our, our, our soul and, and we were very in tuned and we have no phones and we speak like actual. I mean, you would think that, you know, you, you would think that the things that, I mean, they don't have flat screen TVs and they don't have phones and you know, people, I don't know, people like back in the day, I don't know, 1,002, 5,000 years ago, you know, and we're out here, you know, we're very spiritual. You might think, oh, well, they must have been dumber than us. I don't think that's necessarily it. I think those people would have sometimes even more intelligent conversations than what we have.
Josh
Yeah.
Jess
Honestly, I swear to God for sure. So it's like I just. Because they don't have iPhones back then, that doesn't make them like unintelligent. You know what I mean? It's whatever they had, whatever they had to work with, but they were still Very intelligent people. And they would be more one with themselves, more spiritual. They would discover things out in the wild trees, fruits, things that would grow out of the ground that would maybe make you feel some certain type of way or that's what I'm saying. Like medicina, like herbal medicine. Yeah, like that's why it comes from like thousands of years ago, because of people like that who start up, who, who now they pass away and, and they share with their family, you know what I mean? So it's like nobody's doing that anymore. People are just with chemicals and what's
Josh
crazy to me, and I would never do this, but like, I am intrigued by like DMT and these kind of like, what is called ayahuasca and stuff where people have like these crazy trip outs. And like, people have explained it as like, it's not just your mind reacting, it's like you're literally jumping into another universe or another whatever, you know, and that, that is so fucking crazy to me.
Jess
Oh, I know that we have the
Josh
access to like potentially do that, but. And also, like, we have 8 billion people on this earth and like, we don't even know. Like, nobody can figure it out. Like we don't know. We can't figure out death. We have no idea what happens after. But there's all these like, you know, speculations and theories and people have like studied death and stuff like that. But I'm like, we don't fucking know until you know know. And only you will know when you know. And that's also really scary.
Jess
Yeah, it's extremely scary, bro. I would definitely do DMT, but.
Josh
You would? I would wait till I'm like 60.
Jess
Yeah, that, that part, that part. But I wouldn't also do it because, like, I've heard so many stories that like, you do it. Some people do it once, have a great experience, they might have a bad run, but then there's some people that they do it, they're never the same anymore, bro. There's a DMT story that I remember very clearly. I remember this was the time when ASAP Rocky was coming up, like Purple Swag, you know, that time. And like, I just remember vividly around that time because my friends were doing it. But there was a guy I knew and he did DMT and he did dmt, right? Yeah, dmt. And he said that he did DMT as however old he was. He wasn't that old, but he did DMT and he said that he, he lived his life like that's it.
Josh
Oh yeah, I heard this.
Jess
He lived his life.
Guest D
He.
Jess
He married, kids, got married, kids grew old, and then he woke up and then he was just back to himself, bro. That life that was over.
Josh
Exist 20 minutes or not even, huh?
Jess
It was like. It was like five minutes, bro. He lived the whole ass life, bro.
Josh
You ever have dreams like that? I have dreams like that all the time.
Jess
My whole ass life.
Josh
Yeah, I have dreams where I'm, like, living, like, a week. Like, I'm coming on the show, doing a podcast. This is a dream. You're coming on the show on the
Jess
show, like, on your computer screen?
Josh
No, I'm coming on the show, like, la platica. Like, I'm living out my day.
Jess
Got it?
Josh
Yeah, dude.
Jess
Yeah. No, not weeks. I've had.
Josh
No, I've had days, bro. I've had days. Have you guys not. No, never had days. That's wild, bro.
Jess
One time.
Josh
I'm not even joking. I've had days. I'm not. Maybe not a week.
Jess
I've had a day. Damn. No, one time I had a full ass day and I was just dabbing
Josh
it, just blazing it.
Jess
No, not like that. Like, I remember I went to sleep, my dream started like this. What the. For a whole day. And then I woke up. That was my dream. Damn crazy dream.
Josh
You know what's the worst feeling? Like, when you, like, somebody, like, your dream, like, somebody dies, and it's like somebody you're close to and you have to call them, like, the next day. And it's always, like, for me, for whatever reason, my abuelita always dreams that I die. I get a call from her at least. Like, I don't like that. Every three years, like, my mom's like, grandma's crying. She needs to make sure you're okay. And, like, you know, I'll call her, and she's, like, weeping, and she's like, I just had terrible dream.
Jess
I don't like this conversation. No, honestly. No, no, no, no, I get it. But still.
Josh
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Jess
Be careful.
Josh
Have you ever had a dream that somebody died?
Jess
Not me, but I know people that. That have.
Josh
That they have for sure.
Jess
I've seen, like, people who have been dead come to my life. Like, I remember I had a dream, and I remember, like, my. I saw. I was hanging out with my grandma.
Guest D
Yeah.
Jess
And she knew she was dead already.
Josh
Yeah.
Jess
Yeah. So it sucks, man.
Josh
That is scary. I. This is. I don't even want to talk about this, but. But like, the artist, Oliver Tree, who recently passed, like, in the helicopter accident, which is wild. Rip to him. RP to. I mean. I mean, I. I'm such a good guy, right? Yeah. Yeah. I want to say I was a really. I. I wasn't, like, the biggest fan, but I definitely enjoyed a lot of his, like, interviews. I felt like he had a really good soul to him. His music was great, and it's just so tragic regardless, bro. Right. So sad for, like, the families and stuff. But, dude, what trips me out is, like, a lot of the stuff, like, leading up to his death, like. Like, he was on podcasts and saying certain things, and it just, like, you kind of, like, trip out. You're, like. Almost like he had, like, an intuition, but, like, didn't really. Wasn't, like, talking like that.
Jess
But.
Josh
So I like to really be careful, too, on, like, how you speak, because you just never know, you know?
Jess
Yeah.
Josh
And it.
Jess
Rest in peace.
Josh
Yeah.
Jess
God, like, I think, like, five people died in Brazil in that week. Do you see the girl from that
Josh
bungee jumped about that? Did we not.
Guest D
Yeah, no, I don't think we talk about the bungee jump jump, bro.
Jess
She bungee jumped, and the bungee wasn't on her, and she just fell to her death, bro.
Josh
Well, you know. No, bro, she wasn't even dead. She didn't die immediately on impact. There was a nurse that was by her, and she couldn't talk to her. She was like. She even said a quote, like, nobody dies on my shift. And she's like, we're gonna make sure you, like, survive. And then, like, she ended up passing away, like, in the ambulance and stuff. But she was. She was responsive. I heard that she was responsive, but
Jess
I mean, that fell. I mean, that fall was her death, bro.
Josh
That was insane. That's.
Jess
I know. She was so young. She's very pretty, too, bro.
Josh
I. I don't know. I. Have you ever bungee jump before?
Guest D
No.
Jess
For what?
Josh
Yeah, I did it when I was, like, 22. And it's like, okay, I've done it. Like, I'm never gonna do it again. I've survived, like. And I was like, kind of like, you know, thank God. But I just, like, don't do, like, that. Like, just don't. You know what I mean? Don't bungee jump, don't skydive, don't go on helicopters. It's like, these are just things that, like, the possibility of death is, like, it's not zero.
Jess
Yeah.
Josh
You know, like, it's.
Jess
It's. There's a chance, like, I've skydived before. It's super wonderful. I love that it Was over Hawaii, where they filmed Jurassic Park.
Josh
No, I skydived twice.
Jess
Sick. After that, I was like, I don't need to do this no more.
Josh
Don't need to do it.
Jess
I've gone on air balloons. Air balloons. Air air balloons. Hot air balloons. Air balloons. Hot air balloons. And that was cool.
Josh
Yeah, Those are dangerous, too.
Jess
Those are super dangerous. And I'm like, damn, I don't know if I would do that again, but, like, Loki, I would. But, like, why don't we have parachutes? Because, like, if somebody. Something happens, like, you're.
Josh
Yeah, you're. And you're high, Right.
Jess
Why did I say that? Like Mickey Mouse.
Josh
How high are you and how high do you go on right now?
Jess
I just smoked a joint.
Josh
Oh, we know, dude.
Jess
No, no, I don't smoke, by the way. Yeah. There's a lot of things that I would not bungee jump, and I. I find it so fascinating when people bungee jump off cliffs. No, I'm sorry.
Guest Jess
Off. Off.
Jess
Off bridges.
Guest D
Yeah.
Josh
Yeah.
Jess
Because with the bridge, I saw this guy bungee jump, and he just flew left, goes to the right, hits the wall, and he's on. He's unconscious.
Guest D
There's a. There's a new series, I think. Well, a show on Netflix about BASE jumping of these people who go gliding. And the people that the documentary starts with aren't the people it ends with. With. And they have this thing where every year they take a group photo, and there's always someone who didn't make it the next year.
Josh
Wait, I'm so sorry, bro. Can you say this one more time?
Jess
That's crazy.
Guest D
There's a new documentary on Netflix that's about those BASE jumpers who, like, they fly.
Josh
Like the squirrel ones. Oh, my God.
Guest D
Yeah, those.
Josh
Yeah.
Guest D
And they. Every year, like, they all take a group picture, and every year, there's never the same person. And that documentary starts with. It ends with. With other people.
Josh
Oh, like, brand new set. Yeah, a brand new set of people. Yeah, because you're, like, almost. You're gonna die.
Guest D
You're.
Josh
Yeah, like you're. You're heading. Yeah.
Jess
I think it's called Fly, for example.
Josh
I want to watch that.
Guest D
Is it good? I haven't heard.
Jess
I saw it on Netflix, for example. You look at these guys, right, and you think to yourself, why would they do that? You know, they were born with something different than you. They feed off adrenaline, These humans.
Josh
Yeah.
Jess
They make these choices because their brain works differently than yours.
Josh
Yeah.
Jess
And mine. And everybody who doesn't think that they're the Same as them. And, you know, you can't blame them, but that's just the reality. You know what I mean? It's like dogs. Some dogs, they're mean. Yeah, they did that. They don't want to be like that. I mean, maybe they do because it's embedded in their brain. Some dogs are meaner than others. Especially some sort of breed is a little bit more rougher.
Josh
That's true, bro.
Jess
So, like, humans, animals, species, we're not all the same. We work differently. These guys, they can't sit down in a week and say, oh, I didn't do anything crazy like that. I. They live off this, bro.
Josh
For sure. For sure. So we'll never understand that.
Jess
We'll never understand. Only them, you know, and they think it's normal, which it is, because that is life. Life is. Some people are over here, some people over here, some people over here.
Josh
It's. It's interesting thing, because I think it's important to, like, get out of your comfort zone and do things that scare you, because that's how you grow as a person.
Guest Jess
Sure.
Josh
There's, like, boundaries to that, you know?
Jess
Yeah.
Josh
In my mind, he might not think that. I don't mean that.
Jess
Yeah, right.
Josh
I mean, like, if you're afraid to, like, public speak, like, go out and public speak, like, get out of that comfort zone of you that you have, you know? But, yeah, it's crazy how some people are just like. Like that, bro. They're just like.
Jess
Yeah. In the beginning of this podcast, we were like, can we talk about that with Jess? Can we or. No?
Josh
It's up to Jess.
Jess
It's up to Jess, because I didn't
Josh
have a choice on mine.
Guest D
Yeah.
Jess
If she says no, then we're cutting all this on. This is, like, nothing.
Josh
This is a perfect way to end the podcast, Jess. So say yes.
Guest Jess
Sure. Yeah.
Jess
Yeah.
Guest D
All right.
Josh
So, Jess, tell us. Tell. Tell everybody. Tell all. Everybody who's listening right now. Hello, everybody. What you told us before we started filming. What do you have coming up? Or you just.
Guest Jess
I just did it yesterday. I got Botox for the first time ever.
Guest D
Wow.
Josh
Give it up for chest, everybody. Give it up for chest.
Guest Jess
No, because I do feel really grown, like, having gotten bow tie. Really? I feel like a very adult.
Josh
I'm not going to lie. That's slightly surprising. Not because I. I felt like you had Botox, but, like, that you're older and you're doing it so, like, late, like, kind of. You're kind of laying the game.
Guest Jess
I mean, I don't really have wrinkles.
Josh
You don't.
Guest Jess
Even if I raise my eyebrows, like, I don't really. So it's more preventive, I guess.
Jess
Yeah.
Josh
Which.
Jess
That's what it is. It should be that.
Guest Jess
That the. The only wrinkle that I really have is my smile line, because I like smile a lot. But. But yeah, I'm, like, a little bit self conscious about my upper lips, so I did the lip flip. Oh, okay. So when I smile, it's not gonna go up as high.
Josh
Yeah. So it's like less gums.
Guest Jess
Yeah.
Josh
Yeah.
Jess
Oh.
Guest Jess
So that was, like, my main concern. And then we did, like, my forehead the 11th. Yeah, yeah. Which, like, again, like.
Jess
Shut up.
Josh
Your elevens.
Guest Jess
Yep.
Josh
Yeah.
Guest Jess
Which, like, again, like, I don't really barely. Like, they're barely starting to like, nothing.
Josh
Yeah.
Guest Jess
So. So, yeah, we'll see.
Jess
Wait, why two weeks?
Guest Jess
Because I did it yesterday.
Jess
Oh.
Josh
Like, for her to see the results.
Guest Jess
Two weeks to kick in for Botox. Yeah.
Jess
Nah, you should. You'll feel that three, four days sooner,
Josh
but until it's, like, fully settled in, it's two weeks, bro.
Jess
Really?
Guest Jess
Yeah.
Josh
Common knowledge, bro.
Jess
Are you gonna follow up? Damn. Okay. None of that.
Guest Jess
That's my first time. Oh, yeah.
Jess
Oh, got it.
Josh
Did it hurt?
Guest Jess
A little bit. The lip did hurt. And, like, she literally did it right above, like, at the lip line.
Jess
And I was like, yeah, my fast. Mine hurts, like, in the corners of my skull right here on my forehead. It's really thin there, so I almost feel like he's injecting my actual skull.
Josh
I feel like that too, sometimes. But I'm not.
Jess
No, they're not, obviously. But yeah, it's. Doesn't hurt that bad.
Josh
No, no, no, no. I. I'm. You're gonna love it.
Guest Jess
Yeah, we'll see.
Josh
This is not me suggesting Botox to anybody. Like, do whatever makes you happy.
Jess
I suggest Botox.
Josh
No, but I'm not saying, like, I'm not forcing it on people. Like, you have to do Botox, you know, do it if you should.
Jess
Yeah, it's preventative, bro.
Josh
Yeah, if.
Guest D
If. If.
Jess
If you want.
Josh
I'll be honest, I don't know all the research behind it. Like, people saying that it's, like, toxic and stuff like that. I don't really care to do the research because I love the results, you know, but that's why I'm not one to be like, everybody, go do Botox. Because I don't know what the real.
Guest Jess
I kind of do. So, like, that's why I was kind of scared. I also know that like if they inject you in like a nerve, you could go blind.
Josh
You could bruising.
Guest Jess
So many things, so many things happen. So I'm not gonna lie, that's what like I was freaking out the most about. But it's the, the, I don't know the exact like, scientific name for it, but it's the same botulism bacteria, like differently. And obviously like they treat it to apply it safely. Yeah, but botulism is like if you eat specific types of like spoiled foods. For example, if you buy like a canned food product and it's kind of like inflatable, like the metal, you know what I mean? It's not sealed. And like it's like, yes, if it's expanded that you can't eat whatever's in there. Right. Like it's gone bad. And usually the bacteria that's in there is called botulism. And let's say you don't know this and you consume it. That bacteria like freezes, paralyzes your muscles, your intestines, everything. You die. There's no cure. So like, knowing that and be like, I'm really about to give this.
Josh
And that's what they, that is what's part of Botox.
Jess
Yes, Botox, Botulism, like it pairs your muscles.
Guest Jess
Yes. It freezes your muscles. So like. Yeah, it paralyzes them so that you can't move. And again, if you, if you consume that and you ingest it and it's in your body, like it can kill
Josh
you, but they're doing like very micro dosages of it in Botox.
Guest Jess
Exactly. And you're not consuming, like it's not going into your system. It's just staying, it's very localized and it's like again, treat. I don't know how they treat it or what they process it to make it different, to like make it safe. But again, because as someone with limited knowledge, as such, like, I, it did kind of like freak me out a little.
Josh
Yeah, no, for sure. I've heard stuff like this. So I just haven't fully like educated myself on it. But I'm like, like, okay, I can, I'll take the chance though. You know what I mean? But.
Jess
Been taking a chance.
Josh
But, but to people like, you know, it's not a risk free thing. Like, nothing is not. You know what I mean? Like you.
Jess
Yeah, like, you can't guarantee I got latex. I risking being blind for the rest of my life.
Guest D
Yeah.
Josh
And some people go blind off of like off of doing Lasik. That's the truth, bro.
Jess
Did I say latex or Lasix?
Josh
You said latex, but I got what you meant.
Jess
Oh, my God. I did. Huh? Lasik, fool. Lasik Foo. Yeah, I got Lasik. And there's money. People say, like, yeah, but doesn't your. Your eyesight change in, like, five years? I'll do it again. Is that worth it? To me, it's so nice.
Josh
Like, I haven't done it, but I agree.
Jess
Yeah. Like, to. To. What was the other thing that somebody said? Like, yeah, I'll do it again, too. I forgot.
Josh
But yeah.
Jess
Yeah, so it's crazy, man.
Josh
We live in a world now where there's so many ways to. Like, you're like, we're biohacking. Like, we're biohacking our eyes with peptides. There's crazy things you can do now. It's only gonna get insane, bro. We're gonna, like. I think our life expectancy is going to just continue to grow. I don't think, like, we'll ever be able to, like, live forever. Like, and first of all, I don't even want to live forever. Like, that's crazy to me. But you wouldn't. Forever.
Guest Jess
Forever.
Jess
Forever.
Josh
Are you guys on the forever vibe? No, no. What's the longest you'd want to live?
Jess
Yeah, but I'm not saying, like, like, forever as in, like, you stay, like, 35.
Josh
No, you age.
Jess
No, I know, I know, but I'm saying differently. Slowly, you age slowly.
Guest D
Like, yo.
Jess
Slowly, you'll be 35. Slowlier, you'll be 35 for, like, 30 years.
Josh
Yeah, that's.
Jess
Something like that.
Josh
That's good.
Jess
And then the next 36, you'll be, like, for, like, you know. Yeah, 31 years.
Josh
Right.
Jess
Or less.
Josh
Right.
Jess
Have you seen that, that, that. That movie with Justin Timberlake where money is time?
Josh
Yeah, they have, like, the little time.
Jess
Oh, such a good movie.
Josh
It's crazy. It's crazy.
Jess
Yeah. I can't wait to see your results.
Guest Jess
Thanks. Me too. I'm excited. We'll see. The. The nurse practitioner was like, okay, we can also do this, we can also do that. And I was like, let's just.
Jess
Yeah, like, here, let me see how
Guest Jess
I feel and then I'll come back.
Jess
Yeah, I've had Botox where, like, I. I'm really picky now, like, because I like to more like a natural look because I've seen myself on camera and I don't like it. I don't like doing it, like, kind of, like, regularly. I kind of, like, dim it down a little bit. I only tell them like, just do this, this and like, they know, you know, because like, if you kind of do go overboard, like, you're like, eyebrows would be like lifted the whole time.
Josh
Yeah, you could definitely go overboard.
Jess
And I'm like, I don't. I don't like that. I like to like, look natural.
Guest D
I.
Jess
Even when I was first getting into it, I told the doc, I was like, look, I don't mind looking. Wrinkly little movement. Like, I love my masculine wrinkles and shit like that. But if we can just tone it down a bit. Just so like it's like a forehead wrinkles. I don't give a fuck. I'll live with that. It's more this, like, this is where I kind of go.
Josh
And what is it called? The widow's crow. Crow's feet.
Guest D
Feet.
Jess
Yeah, but crow's feet, like, if you go like this, that's not crow's fit.
Guest D
Straight.
Josh
Yeah, that's.
Jess
If you go like this and you're. And you're resting and you still have them, then you have crow's feet. This. Obviously anybody can do that.
Josh
Yeah, but sometimes those lines, when you do smile, like they're more prominent.
Jess
Yeah, yeah, yeah, of course.
Josh
So when you do the Botox there, it kind of eliminates that.
Jess
Yeah.
Josh
So it's not so like. Yeah, yeah, I think it's great. Are you up next, though? How old are you?
Guest D
28.
Josh
Oh, no. You got time. Don't do it yet. Don't do it yet. It's crazy when there's people who start young.
Guest Jess
Yeah.
Josh
Teach their own, I guess. But don't just wait. Yeah, I got you, bro.
Jess
Like right here.
Guest D
The only thing.
Josh
The 11s.
Guest D
Yeah, the 11s.
Jess
Just set up a whole ass appointment just to the doctor. Just one dot right here. Leave.
Josh
Just shoot me one right here. All right, cool. Great episode, man.
Jess
That is it. Be a Mexico.
Josh
That's right, baby.
Jess
And whoever else you're cheering for. Ecuador just did. Amazing.
Josh
Wow.
Jess
I should have bet on them on Kelshi.
Josh
Me too.
Guest Jess

Jess
Colombia. Shout out. Colombia. Shout out. All my Spaniards out there. Shout out to las Brasilanias. Los Brasilinos out there. Portugal, Uruguay, everybody. Honestly, that's why I love watching the World Cup. He's like watching all Latino teams playing. It's like, yes. Beat their ass.
Guest D
Yeah.
Jess
All right. Yeah. Is this is still available on the site?
Josh
It is still available, of course. Yep, yep, yep, yep.
Jess
They can. I think it's La Platica straight out.
Josh
It's just La Platica.
Guest Jess

Josh
Okay, cool. Yeah. Dot com INPUT in put the code la platica, and you guys get 10 off your taste. Aleuth purchase.
Jess
