Josh
Do we want to go there?
Sevas
Get jolly? Cuz I'm on a podcast with Josh Le. Yeah, you have too, mother.
Josh
Ladies and gentlemen, let me just tell you.
Robert
Yeah. Episode 255.
Josh
255. 255 episodes of LA Platy. Come in.
Sevas
Yeah, dude, imagine if you talk like that all the time. Ladies and gentlemen. Hi. Happy Monday. Mondays don't suck. Welcome to the number one Latino podcast in the world. That's only according to Google.
Josh
I never said that.
Sevas
We got Count four. We got Josh Lea. It's a great day. Yeah. Yeah. Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ.
Josh
I thought you said you subscribe. And I was like, wow. He brought up the people that asked people to subscribe.
Sevas
Please subscribe.
Josh
Jesus Christ.
Sevas
Jesus Christ. Yeah. Hashtag Mondays don't suck. Shout out to our sponsors back at SeatGeek. Number one ready ticketing app on the App Store. Use SeatGeek. We've been using SeatGeek a lot. And you know what we used it for recently?
Josh
What's that?
Sevas
The World Cup. We were there.
Robert
We.
Sevas
We were there.
Josh
I actually had a few people ask me if we use SeatGeek and I'm like, you guys think this is a game? This ain't a game. We. About this life. Honestly, it's not for nothing. SeatGeek is like the best app to use when it comes to ticketing. It's just so easy, user friendly. It's awesome. And yes, we went to the World cup in Mexico City. We had the time of our lives. Sevas was on tv, which we'll, we'll touch on. We had some of the incredible seats. Incredible experience. It was insane, bro. I don't even. I feel like people have been asking you like, how has it been? And like, I'm like, I don't even know if words can, you know, really, they can't justify how incredible of an experience.
Sevas
It can't, it can't. Like you said, you can't describe, you can't justify the emotions, the feelings, the magic around the city. You know, obviously Mexico City is already such a magical city where, you know, adding the World cup there, adding the culture, people flying in from all over the world, especially you know, England in that weekend, the food, the people, the, the energy already that it already has. And like I said, adding the World cup on top of it was just so memorable.
Josh
Yeah. But so the US is obviously hosting as well, along with Canada and Mexico. We're in LA, which is one of the, at SoFi is one of the stadiums that they're hosting the World Cup. But it has not felt like LA was giving World cup energy. The only thing that I really saw, we went to, oh, we went to the USA game and SoFi, obviously that's where it's at. Like a little bit around it. Like you were like, okay, I'm at a, like a FIFA World cup game. But other than that, it doesn't, I don't even. It's not even. It's like out of sight, out of mind. You just forget. But in Mexico City, bro, the whole city is about the World Cup. From the moment that you land in the airport, they had a bunch of the big World cup ball, bunch of posters. It just felt alive.
Sevas
There were being. Mexico is being a great host.
Josh
They're being a great host.
Sevas
They're going above and beyond, you know what I mean? Like LAX or something. You might see like some FIFA stuff or some football, but stuff, you know, but that's really it. But you land in Mexico and I mean, immediately, footballers, football is life.
Josh
Yeah.
Sevas
And, you know, it goes to show it's. It's there and a lot of other countries, just not as much here in the United States. But I think US is doing a good job. But it doesn't compare to Mexico. You know, obviously, us Mexicans and us Latinos, we're raised and. And we have traveled to our hometown or where our parents are from, where our grandparents are from, and we understand that it's so much different than the United States. You know, there's. There's. There's definitely, like, some shift in culture. And I mean, for example, partying on the street, you know what I mean, and making. Not necessarily a mess, but, you know, spraying people with spuma and. And, you know, being able to drink on the street and having bandas and people selling stuff and having, like, these huge. It's almost like these concerts on the street that. That's not really allowed over here. You get in trouble.
Josh
Part of the culture over here, it's not.
Sevas
You just get in trouble.
Josh
The closest thing we have to that is tailgating.
Sevas
And that's already pretty, like, in, like, enforced with, like, the law.
Josh
Yeah.
Sevas
You know, like, there's certain things that you can do, right? Yeah.
Josh
Like property, like, limitations.
Sevas
Yeah. So it's just. You're never gonna get that here because there's just. Which is fine. I respect it. There's too many rules, and, you know, you gotta abide by those things. But should we speak briefly or should we give them the lowdown of, like, from the moment we landed at LAX to the moment we stepped foot in the historic Grand Azteca?
Josh
Let me set the stage real quick. It wasn't necessarily in our plans to go to Mexico City to watch them against London. We didn't necessarily plan that ahead of time. We decided to do this the day they beat Ecuador.
Sevas
Yeah.
Josh
Moments after they beat them, we immediately started looking into flights, hotel to see if this was, like, possible. And it was very possible. So literally, Mexico beats Ecuador. Twenty minutes later, we're looking at flights. We're like, you know what we're doing? This effort we're doing, going.
Sevas
Yeah.
Josh
Energy was high. It just. It felt right.
Sevas
Right.
Josh
Like it had to be done.
Sevas
It's. We were like, we'll leave Saturday, be there Sunday, leave Monday morning.
Josh
That's it. In and out.
Sevas
Yeah. We got flights sat all the way in the back. Yeah.
Josh
I mean, that's vibe out, bro.
Sevas
Whatever. Let's just get there. And to be honest, we didn't even Plan on going to the game.
Josh
Well, it was like, up in the air.
Sevas
It's like, okay, if we get tickets. Cool. If not being there is going to be magical.
Josh
Magical.
Sevas
Yeah. So continue.
Josh
So we decide that we're gonna go get on the flight we're at. Actually, we decided that we were gonna buy tickets at LAX Airport at the bar.
Sevas
That's right.
Josh
Moments before our flight, we went on seatgeek. Let's just see what's available, right? And see if there's any green dots. Because green dots mean good.
Sevas
Yeah, there wasn't any red dots.
Josh
There wasn't any. Well, there was a red dots because,
Robert
like,
Sevas
I feel like the tickets are so expensive.
Josh
Look. Nonetheless, their tickets are expensive. Like, so expensive.
Sevas
Let's just be real here to the point where it's like, damn. Like, for a couple, it was like, so much money, and we're like, damn. You know? But we checked again, and it almost like they kind of dropped a little bit. And then, you know, we already had some mimosas at the lounge. You know, it was feeling good. We bought this, like, big FIFA World cup trophy necklace. And, you know, there was already so many people at lax and they were just kind of like, I don't know, the vibes were there, you know, and we didn't know that they were going to go to Mexico, too, to watch the game. So when we saw the tickets, we're like, should we do it? Yeah. So we're like, 75. Sure we're gonna get them. We still wait a little bit, and then we got them.
Josh
But we decided at that moment. We're gonna go to the game.
Sevas
Yeah. Like, why not? Like, whatever.
Josh
Yeah, yeah, like it. Yeah, we're gonna do it. So we get to Mexico City, and what was the first thing we did? I was faded.
Sevas
First thing we do, we land in Mexico City. And in Mexico City, there's an oxo, literally inside the terminal, right? Immigration. We stop. We got some channels, some sandwiches. Super good. Just so basic. God Companion Te Graal and Jamon. And it was like a mayonnaise that had, like, jalapeno in it. It was insanely good.
Josh
Soft. Soft.
Sevas
We were starving. And then we go to our hotel and we just freshen up. And then we just start walking the street. One of our friends has never gone to M. The. The Marisa. And we were like, what? Okay, cool. So we took him there. And then right before we got there, Una tormenta. Like, it was crazy.
Josh
I don't think I've ever been inhaled that aggressive. Aggressive, bro. I was sitting in the front, so I just saw all the chunks of ice, like, hitting the. The windshield and I was like, yo, this is crazy.
Sevas
I can never have a nice car over there yet. How can you? Yeah, it's all up.
Josh
So it's like pretty common that it hails like that, bro. I feel like I've heard people be like, hells were like, they're huge, dude.
Sevas
I've seen hell like that. Yeah, they're huge. Where my mom's from in Jalisco. You know, ever since I got with. As a kid, it. It always hells like that. It's like Mexico has this like, really tropical kind of weather.
Josh
Well, Mexico City is literally in the middle.
Sevas
Right.
Josh
So it's like very like rainforest. And they just build a city in that.
Sevas
Yeah.
Josh
So you're in the wilderness.
Sevas
Yeah, technically you are. Yeah.
Josh
Well, not wilderness.
Sevas
Yeah. So be a lake.
Josh
Mexico City.
Sevas
Yeah.
Robert
Used to be a lake.
Josh
What, and then it dried?
Robert
No, the colonizers like, drained it so that. Because it was the Aztecs who were living there.
Sevas
Yeah.
Robert
And they created like the Chinampas system, which were the, like the floating islands where they would farm. And it was like, you know, constantly just getting watered and it was such like, rich soil and the way that they were farming and stuff was just like, so ahead of time. Yeah. And. And the English didn't understand it and they thought that it was like bruharia or something. So they were like, this is not normal. So in. In order to also be able to control the population. Population, they drained the swamp. The. The. Not. I'm so sorry.
Josh
The lake.
Robert
Yeah, they drained the lake. And. And so they didn't have a way to produce food for themselves anymore. So then. But that's also why Mexico City is like, sinking. Because it's like on the lake bed and it's just. Yeah.
Josh
So eventually in time, it will sink.
Robert
I. I would assume so. Once like, Mother Nature takes over and everything, it'll probably go back to being a lake.
Josh
Sorry, this is like, so off topic. And we'll go back to Mexico.
Sevas
No, no, no, no.
Josh
I'm not saying that. But I'm saying, like, things in the world that we have that.
Robert
Yeah.
Josh
Like. Like Venice and then even, like, to go as deep as, like, the sun. The sun is going to like, end. Dude, that's scary. I remember as a kid learning that and like, my teachers being like, you. You're going to be like so far gone. Like, you're not even. It won't even. But I'm like, that's still scary. People will experience that. The sun going out, bro. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Sevas
I hope humanity by figures by that time. It's kind of like an interstellar, you know, I mean, the guy had a plan. Supposedly it wasn't really the plan, but in interstellar, you know, there was no more crops and, you know, there was like dust storms that would just kill everything. There's no more food, grain. So they were trying to figure out how to get out of Earth. So hopefully by then we can, you know, figure that out.
Josh
I mean, there's another option. There is no. It's either that or die.
Sevas
I think it's die because I don't think you can possibly take. How many people are on Earth?
Josh
Eight billion. I think we're at eight Bs.
Sevas
How can you move eight billion people to another planet? You can't.
Josh
Eight bees can't move, Abs.
Sevas
You can't. So eight bees, right? Yeah.
Josh
Wow, bro. 8.3 billion people. You know what's crazy about that number is, like, when you fly like across the country, there's so much open land. Right. But we're all just like. We all like, pick specific spots. So it's not. It's like 8 billion people, like, in specific areas. But there's so much like, land, obviously. I think it's just like uninhabitable. You really can't, like, live there. It's difficult.
Sevas
Like in like, some areas. Yeah, some places for sure. And other places is just more kind of like, oh, well, it's going to cost a billion dollars to put a water infrastructure here with electricity and tubing and to have cities run, you know, dams, you know.
Josh
Yeah.
Sevas
Back in the day. Shoot. Just set up camp and figure it out, you know, but it doesn't. Wait, it doesn't work that way. But yes, we go to M. Pachava and if you haven't visited Mikompa Chava, it's to me like top five restaurants in Mexico City. The vibe is insane. The food is great. The drinks are tasty.
Josh
The lines are long.
Sevas
And the lines are long. Yeah, because it's so good there. And it was packed. But I would definitely try to go like around two. We went like around six.
Josh
Yeah.
Sevas
But yeah, that's it. And then we just bar hop Mexico. I mean, Mexico City is just this place where you can just walk around and get lost, literally. And anywhere you go is going to be money. Yeah, anywhere. From the vintage shopping to the restaurants to the local dive bars. Mexico City has everything to offer from the street tacos on the corner to the churros on the other side of the block. I mean, it's just everything. Everything. And there's. There's just magic to the city. And I feel like the people in Mexico City also have this magic to them as well.
Josh
You know, I.
Sevas
So charming.
Josh
I agree. I agree. I remember, like, growing up and hearing about Mexico City and thinking, like, how cool it sounded. Right. And then as I got older, I would hear even more about it, because I think it just became more of a. Like, a hub.
Robert
Right.
Josh
Food culture there. It just kind of grew. And I. I didn't go till I was like, like, yeah, two years ago, bro.
Sevas
Yeah.
Josh
And now I go almost like every other.
Sevas
You've been going pretty.
Josh
I've been going frequently.
Sevas
I think for me, it's just like, the third time I go. And it's so nice, man.
Josh
Bro, it's. Yeah.
Sevas
And I was just telling Karen the other day, and I'm like, she. She told me. She goes, it's crazy how we. We've barely scratched the surface on doing stuff.
Josh
Yeah.
Sevas
And it's one of the most populated. I think it's, like, top five biggest. Biggest population as a city in the world, bro.
Josh
I could live there. That's like, a place that I could live.
Sevas
Nice little apartment.
Josh
I'd rather do that than New York.
Sevas
Yeah.
Josh
That'd be sick.
Sevas
New York would be sick, too. But, yeah, Mexico City is just more my vibe.
Josh
Yeah.
Sevas
It's more me.
Josh
I wish I could live in Mexico,
Sevas
and it's so diverse.
Josh
Yeah. I wish I could do, like, a month in, like, different areas of the world, which I can, you know, but it's just a lot. I'd have to, like, figure that out. But, like, a month in Mexico City, A month in New York.
Sevas
Yeah.
Josh
A month in a month. A month in Espana.
Sevas
You could. I mean, I always tell people, like, if it wasn't for me, having my family here, having my culture here, work. My whole life is here. Right. Family. Did I say that already? I would. If I didn't have any of that, I would move to Tokyo. I love it.
Josh
A month in Tokyo.
Sevas
It's another city that has this magic in the air. It's great.
Josh
I. That's on my bucket list for sure.
Sevas
You haven't gone, huh?
Josh
I never been.
Sevas
Oh, man.
Josh
So it's Sunday. It's game day.
Robert
Yes. Okay.
Josh
We wake up. The boys wake up around eight. Text, group chat. Mimosas.
Sevas
Yeah.
Josh
While the girls get ready, the men do mimosas.
Sevas
Yeah, of course we did mimosas. We Go downstairs. I'll say where we stayed at. We stayed at this really. And I love it. And the only reason why I'm going to tell you cuz I really like this restaurant. Yeah, it's a vibe hotel. It's really calm, very nice, modern, good rooms. It's called Bolga. It's really like a street adjacent to the main street.
Josh
I wouldn't say it's a boutique hotel though.
Sevas
No, it like gives boutique, but it's not. Yeah, but it is. But it's not. But I, I love it. The room is always nice and spacious. The.
Josh
The service.
Sevas
The service is great and it's just so nice. It's easy.
Josh
It's easy.
Sevas
Yeah.
Josh
It's clean. Yeah, it's beautiful.
Sevas
It's a beautiful. It's called Volga Bears and Baca V O L G A Volga. Yeah. And it's. It's not too expensive. It's not like when you go to the Four Seasons or the. The Marriott of the Ritz, which are also great hotels, but Volga has character. So we wake up, we have breakfast and it's mimosa time. And it. Why not? We took some shots as well. Everybody around us was like soccer vibes to the tea. The people next to us were about to go to the Reforma and go celebrate. Everybody, the people there, everybody has the Mexico jersey on and that's all everybody was talking about. You can, you can feel the energy. And honestly it's like, it's just so. It's just everybody that day, from the moment you woke up, had nothing else to think about other than today's match against England. And Mexico was just happy, you know, it's such a beautiful thing because like what football can bring, football can bring to humans, especially when it's World cup because everyone's so into it. But it's also like that when it's just regular games too. It's just you, you don't know cuz they're not as popular as the World Cup. But what football brings too, it's just kind of like it stops time, it stops your stress, it stops your problems for a second, you know? And it just kind of heals you, bro.
Josh
For that day, all I thought about was the game. All I thought about was Mexico winning. All I thought about was like what that is gonna feel like. How the city is gonna explode after they win. Like that's all I could think about all day. Yeah, it was kind of like, like,
Sevas
you're right, it was like, like, like nothing else matters.
Josh
Nothing else in the world. Matters.
Sevas
It doesn't matter if you know, you didn't do something that you're stressing out about. You told yourself, hey, today is dedicated for only one thing and one thing only. And it was just so nice to just kind of like relax in a weird way. Yeah, but at the same time stress, but relax. And we, we finally all get ready and it was beautiful. All the girls and all the guys, we went back to the bar and we took a shot and we're just so excited to go. Our driver, I got this driver because I was like, there's no way I'm going to be ubering it everywhere. I'd rather just have somebody for us. So smart to just kind of like wait for us all the time, by the way. Wait for us all the time. He knows the city, he knows what to do. Yeah, it was, I think that was like the only reason why we had even much more of a greater time. He was with us at dinner and stuff like that great guy, Shout out David. And so we just left. And by the moment we walked outside the hotel, I kid you not, everything was closed. Everything. Some stores were closed because they were like this, I'm going to the game. But most importantly, all the streets were closed and there was already thousands of people on the street. Independencia right there forma.
Josh
And this is seven to eight hours before the game even started.
Sevas
I'm talking cracking. I mean people were already, they were already throwing them up. Luchador mask galore. People were dressed in like Aztec inspired outfits. People were painted. If you guys don't know this, Mexico City is also like one of the biggest dog towns in the world. So there's dogs everywhere. And I'm not talking about like, I mean there's like feed license and if you know what I'm talking about. When it's a fetalize like that super street dog, you know that you don't know what the kind of breed he is. He's just a dog that's a feist. No, I'm talking like feces and I'm talking about like high end dogs people have there. It's crazy to see a Pomeranian in Mexico City. It's crazy to see a Great Dane in Mexico City and very well taken care of. Remember that big ass Great Dane we saw?
Josh
Yeah, that bar.
Sevas
And he barked at Robert like it was just such a cool experience. And the driver was like, do you guys want to like walk? You know, it was packed but you can still walk through it. It's not like what you saw like on. On social media, you know, that's like
Josh
at night, that's like when the game's
Sevas
on, that's like a million people are there, you know, and like on every block they had a Jumbotron. And it's just so cool how they did that for the people, you know, Like, I don't.
Josh
It was like high level production. It's not like some little TVs they
Sevas
put up no high level. Like if you're going to like those huge concerts where they just have Jumbotrons.
Josh
Yeah.
Sevas
And I kid you not, like, you would think here in LA or here in the United States, they have money to be doing that. When have I ever seen the Lakers organization or Los Angeles closed down Figueroa street or more and throw like six jumbotrons in for free for the people can see. I've never seen that.
Josh
No, I've never seen that.
Sevas
But the fact that they did that here in LA and Reforma and they did that for. I was like, wow, good job, guys. And not just some chirafa, cheap, you know, some pirateria. This was nice. It's just like, wow, they did that for the people. That's so freaking cool. I don't see anybody else doing it. And there are some places that I see like Universal Studios does the jumbotron. I see it. That was really cool.
Josh
Oh, that's.
Sevas
But I'm sure that's coming out of Universal Studios money. Yeah, right. This is coming from the city's money. Who else is paying for. I mean, maybe. I don't know, but it was really nice to see that. I'm not talking about two, three. I'm talking about like ten freaking Jumbo.
Josh
That was just in our area that
Sevas
we were in our area. We didn't go the other side. It was just beautiful, beautiful, beautiful, beautiful. People were selling stuff. I bought the. The Patito Medline that had a giveaway.
Josh
Interesting.
Sevas
We got spuma. You got the. The necktag with the paint.
Josh
Didn't last, though.
Sevas
Didn't last because then it started raining, you know, but with the rain, it was like a vibe. Yeah. And then quick story, but so we get into. We finally get into the Suburban and we're about to head to the game. But obviously we need some drinks, you know, because the guy warned us. He was like, yo, it's gonna be like 45 minutes to an hour. So much traffic, you know, regardless of the game. That's just how long it takes to get to the Azteca from where we'. Okay, cool. You know, and all Those were closed. I don't know why you would think those would be open. So he takes it to this mom and pop liquor store. We walk in. Cool. I'll grab a bunch of, like, a 16 pack or a 12 pack of beer, and I'll get whatever the girls want. We'll get some waters, you know, blah, blah. So we walk in the guy, and we finally find one. We finally find a liquor store. Like I said, it's a mom and pops one. And I go. And I open the fridge to grab some beer, and it's not locked. It's not.
Josh
It's black.
Sevas
It's black taped up. Like, all the Modelos, all the cerveza Indias. I remember the Victorias. I was looking. I was like, oh, perfect. I open up like this, and, like, it was black taped up.
Josh
Like duct tape.
Sevas
Yeah. And I'm like, hey, capello. Like, like, oh. I said, oh, maybe they're just display. I was like. And the guy goes, oh, yes, Le Seca. And I'm like, what? What? Le Seca is in like, oh, I don't know why, but they.
Josh
They don't serve alcohol on Sundays.
Sevas
On Sundays. Or, like, maybe a certain time or there's specific stores that do. I don't know.
Josh
I don't know.
Sevas
I've heard about it. I've been through that. Like, in Guadalajara. But I don't know necessarily, like, the. Like to the T. Why it was Lay Seca at his store.
Josh
Yeah.
Sevas
So I was like, yeah, it was
Josh
kind of odd, especially, like, it being, like, such a big day.
Sevas
Like, what? So. So I look at him straight in the eyes and I go, look, man, I finally found you. Don't with me. How are you not gonna sell me beer when I'm on my way to the Azteca, bro? I need beer. And I was like, okay, you're making me do this. I don't want to do this, but you're making me do this. So I pull out watts of dollars. Watts. Watts. Like, in the rubber band and my headband. Actually, I don't do rubber. I do, like, the headband, the soft ones. I'm like, look, man, I'm gonna give you a hundred dollars. He goes, no, no, no, no, no. Come on, Chris. Blah, blah, blah. I was like, no queue. He goes, no, no, you're not accepted. He was, like, being nice.
Josh
Oh, I didn't know that he was
Sevas
being nice, but still, like, following the law, which I respect. And I was like. But he also said, like, as an excuse. He wasn't being a Dick. He was being really nice. He goes, I'm like, you're making me do this, not me. Remember that. You're making me do this. I was like, okay, I have pesos. So I take out even fatter watts of pesos because I have more pesos than dollars at this point. So I take out 4 or 500 pesos. So it's like those meal pesos, I need this beer. And he looks at me, goes, this. And then I think it's his son or his something like it's a younger kid. And he looks at him and he goes, hey, I don't know. We're gonna call him Sultano. Hey, Sutano. Yeah. And he brings a little box that perfectly fit 12 beers, you know, he was quite as scared as I was. Like, I don't know. Just give me whatever those Modelo, because they had a really nice model.
Josh
He had to do it himself, though, huh?
Sevas
Yeah, they had a really nice Modelo tall boy that had, like, the Mexican jersey on it, you know, I think I put a picture on stories or.
Robert
And.
Sevas
And I was like, just give me those. They look cool. And he perfectly put them on there. And he goes. And I'm like, right now, really, like, out of all times, what are the chances, right? So I grabbed my cerveza, and I don't know if you saw it, but, like, that same box is actually on one of my videos that I just posted. I was dancing with it. While I was like a bunch of espuma, I'm holding a little box that was my box of chellas. Nobody knows. I was just holding a little box, you know? So tell me why I'm holding the box and I'm on the other side by the papitas, and a cop walks in, bro. Straight up. A cop, bro. And it looks. And it wasn't like a cop.
Josh
It was like an undercover cop.
Sevas
It wasn't like a cop that, like, those foods are, like, in their uniform. Uniform. They're the ones that say, like, federales. It's not one of those clubs. It looks like it's a cop that just patrols the city. He's a cop. You see that box? That's my box of chicken, a box of electrolyte, whatever. So if people want to know, why the fuck does he have a box? There's beers in there, bro. Clearly, now that you see it, we succeeded with the beer, right?
Josh
By the way, the reason he's so full of spuma is because our friend Robert decided to fucking nuke him with. Yeah, just to be an asshole.
Sevas
And there's my. There's my Tito Meline. And you got.
Josh
You almost got pink eye off that, bro.
Sevas
Yeah, bro, my vision was like 75% when I was watching the game. Oh, yeah.
Josh
It was all in his eyes.
Sevas
It was all. You see how it was right here on my right eye. It didn't. It didn't burn initially, but later on when I wiped it, I was like, oh, my. It's like. It's like I was inside a pool, you know? This is me. And I opened my eyes for like two minutes. You know, like when you're kind of hazy.
Josh
Bro, what is puma? Is it. Is it.
Sevas
I think it should. It's just like shaving cream. No, I think it kind of is like some sort of shaving cream. No, because it tasted like shaving cream. Not that it tastes shaving cream, but I have.
Josh
It actually did wonders to your hair, by the way.
Sevas
Yeah, it was a nice little mousse. Yeah, yeah, yeah. But I think it's just like soap shaving cream. I don't know. But I think just the difference is that the spray is just like more pressure. So. Spray. Sprays. But anyways, going back to the story, so I see the cop and I got him. Oh, my God. I gotta think quick, because not only am I gonna be maybe into some or he's just not gonna sell it to me, but either two things are going to happen. I'm going to get homeboy in trouble and I'm going to feel bad, and I don't want that. And B, regardless, I'm not going to get my beer. So I'm double fudged.
Josh
Yeah.
Sevas
So I immediately saw him and I got the box and I just placed it somewhere else. And I was like, this is the smartest thing I can do. Just put the box away. Because the cops are stupid.
Josh
You don't know what's in the box either.
Sevas
He doesn't, but he's not stupid. Yeah, he does it himself, too. Or he knows people do that. He knows owners also do that and get bribed. Like, I just bribed the guy, which would be so illegal here in the United States. Therefore, that's why there's no vibes here, because you can't get bribed. Bribing is cool. So I set the beers to the side of the box. And, yeah, I just pay for everything that we have. But I'm talking. It was just like sodas. It was like papitas. It was like water. You know, I made it seem like that. And the cop goes right next to me, bro. And I was like, it. I'm gonna just buy his. So I look at him, and he looks at me, and mind you, the box is right in back of him. Right in back of him with the 12 pack. And it's like, lay second. Like, he. I'm assuming he can lose his license or he gets a big fine, the guy. And so I pay for everything. I look at the guy and I'm like, jefe, I'll buy him for you. Like, I got you. And he looks at me and goes. I'm like, no, Mexico. Mexico is gonna play. I'm in a good mood. Like, you're a police officer. Like, I with you. Like. And he was, like, super down. He was, all right. Yeah, straight up all right. Yes. Obviously, me being a nice guy, why wouldn't I buy him the stuff? Right? But at the same time, I'm only doing it so you can get the fuck out of here. No, so you get the out of here, you know? So he gets his stuff and he's out. And so then I paid for the stuff.
Josh
Did the guy say anything to you when you did that?
Sevas
He didn't say anything like that. He didn't say anything crazy, but he was just kind of like, good shit. Good shit. Yeah, like, tight, you know? And I'm like, hey, man, that's not my first rodeo, bro. I'm a super sick briber. And so. So, yeah, I paid for everything. And then at the end, finally, I look back because thank God, the Suburban was right in front. Like, he parked right in front of the store. So I look, okay, cop's gone. Grab the cajita, Give that fool the feria. And then I'm like, okay. He goes, no, no. I was like, okay, late. Go immediately to Suburban. Got our beers, put him in the car. That's it. Mission. Mission complete. Mission complete. Yeah, so it was. It was really cool. And then after that, I was like, oh.
Josh
And that's how we got.
Sevas
And that's how we got our box of cheddar, bro. So that was really cool. And then after that, man, we just walked and it was really cool. Just arriving to the Azteca. Me only seen it, like, through the airplane, like, one time when I went. I've only seen it like that or, like, from afar. But when you get there, it's just. You just feel the atmosphere, man.
Josh
It's huge.
Sevas
And can I say, it wasn't that difficult to get in.
Josh
Honestly, bro, like, zero difficulty.
Sevas
Yes. We had a driver, and it was like, Kind of easy. Yeah. But it wasn't like we like, even though when you go to Dodger Stadium. So it's a. To get up there. Yeah. And even depends, like, if you park something when it's super full. They even like, you have to park all the way to the top of the little hills and stuff and then walk down. Yeah, I probably walk less than that. And maybe we didn't feel it either because we just went over a puente and everyone's dancing. There's things to see, people are selling stuff.
Josh
There's a bunch of people.
Sevas
It's like. It's like almost. I wish that the walk was longer so I can enjoy more of that vibe.
Josh
Yeah, it was pretty easy.
Sevas
It was so epic. It was so epic. It was so epic seeing our people just so fired up. Fired up and full. Full of joy, you know, that fired me up. And you know, there's everybody making bolitas and just dancing la. Everybody had instruments. It was just so, so freaking cool. We finally go inside, man. It's just like the atmosphere was just lit. It's just like, you just know that today is going to be a historic day.
Josh
I really enjoy talking to, like, the English fans that were there. Literally, like the fact that they flew in from England to Mexico City and we're so open and receptive to like, the culture and trying things and just being immersed in Mexico City. I feel like every English person we talked to, they were like, in love with the city and were down to like, be immersed in it. And I think that says a lot because some people are a little more like. You know what I mean? But they were like, all in. I remember we met this group of, like, English people and they were selling esquites and we were like, telling them what it was and you could tell they were like, what the. Like, this doesn't make. It was weird to them, but they were so, like, receptive towards it and they, like, ended up, like, loving it. So it was just really cool to see, like, people like that.
Robert
Yeah.
Josh
We didn't know, but the seats that we actually had were in the friends and family of the English. Yeah. So we were like, surrounded by English fans and we were like dead center of where they were all sitting, which was really cool. And I actually enjoyed it way more than I thought I would.
Sevas
Me too. Yeah.
Josh
Even though I really wish we would have been around like, other more Mexican. Mexican fans.
Sevas
Yeah, me too. But.
Josh
But it was cool.
Sevas
It made it. Yeah, it made it more special for us because. Because, you know, when they Were scoreboard versus them.
Josh
Our section didn't.
Sevas
I know.
Josh
It was, like, kind of quiet. You would only hear the rumblings around, like, in front of you and stuff.
Sevas
Yeah.
Josh
But we were at. It was a little, like, weird.
Sevas
Trust me. Every time we would do something good or even score. And our seats were so cool. And honestly, the best seats ever. Honestly, it's not that we were front row.
Josh
If I could buy those seats every single time.
Sevas
Yeah. Go to the same.
Josh
I do it.
Sevas
So what happens when you go sit at a stadium? Right. You're next to people, you're in front of people, and you're in back of people. Right. So with these seats, what was in front of us was a huge walkway for anybody.
Josh
Yeah.
Sevas
To go to the tunnels, to go to the bathroom, to get a drink. There was that. It was a walkway for the vendors, and it was huge. It wasn't, like a small tunnel. So anything that we would want or anything that we would go get is. Was such easy access. We'd have to ask anybody to move. We'd have to be those people to, like, be annoying and keep telling people, hey, I'm gonna go to the bathroom. Hey, I'm gonna go to drink. So the whole time, especially, like in the beginning, right before the game even started, we were at our seats. We would go to the bar. We'd go get something. We'd go. And we just do it like that. Yeah. Because the seats were phenomenal.
Josh
Easy access.
Sevas
Whenever we wanted to, we would just jump over the rails and have the whole hallway to us or the. The whole pass. The passway to ourselves and just dance. And it was just so sick, bro.
Josh
Yeah.
Sevas
We were really lucky. You know, I think, to be honest, any scene in that stadium is epic, but the fact that you have nobody in front of you where we were sitting at was just amazing. And honestly, they just enhanced our experience.
Josh
Somebody, or actually Robert, was telling us that Mexico had played London a total of 10 times prior to this last game. 7 out of the 10 times England has beat Mexico, the three times that they've lost to Mexico was at the Azteca, bro. When I found out that, I was like, there's no fucking way we are losing this game. There's no fucking way.
Sevas
We did. We did lose, but we put up a hell of a fight. And that's, to me, like, that's all that matters.
Robert
You're skipping over the most important part, though, like when you ended up on tv.
Josh
Yes. So because of the area that we were at, that gigantic walk walkway, obviously telemundo what was the.
Sevas
Who was it?
Josh
Fox Sports? Yeah.
Sevas
But I even heard, like, cnn, BBC, BBC.
Robert
I think they were streaming the same footage because I was watching on my phone on Telemundo, and the place I was at had, like, FOX on the tv, and it was the same. It was just a little bit delayed, but it was the same footage.
Sevas
Yeah.
Josh
Oh, same broadcast.
Sevas
Yeah, because.
Josh
And it was pretty obvious that that guy was from tv. Like, his setup and everything.
Sevas
He had the crazy camera.
Josh
He had the crazy camera. The big gigantic ring light in front of the camera. And I think we pointed out right away, we're like, that's on. That's going to be streaming.
Sevas
Yeah. I mean, I personally didn't think that. I don't know. We've been to so many games, so many. Like that. Yeah, it's like, I see those foods all the time. And, like, whether they're filming you right now, to be on the Jumbotron immediately, that's. That's fine. But, like, even if they. They're filming you, you don't know if you're gonna be on TV or not.
Josh
Yeah.
Sevas
You know, and I saw him, but, like, I didn't really, like, pay attention. Yeah.
Josh
Because it's like his camera was like. It's really big. You can, like, miss him. Right? Like, he's right there and he, like, you can tell he was, like, trying to get a moment with us because he. Dude, he was there for, like, 20 minutes.
Sevas
Yeah.
Josh
And it's kind of crazy because out of the 20 minutes, it's like a split second that is like showcase and it's slow mode and everything.
Sevas
I know, bro.
Josh
As soon as Sebas got featured on tv, our phones were blowing up. It was like, immediate. Immediate. And that's how we found out. We're like, oh, shit, we were on tv.
Sevas
Yeah. And, like, at first, we're in the moment. We don't even. We don't even know nor care if we're on TV or not. But like I said, we've been to games before where it's like a Dodger game or, you know, whatever football game. And like, my mom's like, oh, yeah. When I actually see it, we're just one in a thousand people. Or we're just one. Like, oh, we barely. Oh, I kind of see you, you know. Oh, that's cool. You know, so. Well, first of all, like, one of the first clips, it was all of us.
Robert
Yeah.
Sevas
Like, I was in the front, but it was me, Josh, Robert, some of the girls you can see. And we're just celebrating, you know, I don't know what happened, or I think it was like a blog. But, you know, we were just happy that Mexico was attacking. So they caught that on. On. On. On. On camera. But when it. When it actually happened, Karen goes like this to me. She goes, hey, I'm getting, like, blown up. And people are saying that. That they saw you or saw us, you know, And I was like, oh, okay, cool. That's cool. You know, that's fine. Been on TV, been on YouTube. But when she saw that, I was kind of interested, you know, I was like, oh, maybe someone sent a video on Instagram or my family sent me, because who's not watching the game? Yeah, I was like, oh, we're on this. Yeah, we are on, on. You know, and by the way, I
Josh
think we looked it up, and they said there was around 30 million viewers on that game.
Sevas
Yeah, it was one of the most viewed games.
Josh
One of the most viewed games. So there's huge chance that you were seen by 30 million people, bro. You were the most famous man on the planet at one point, for a split moment in time. You were the most famous man on the planet for, like, a little millisecond. Bro.
Sevas
Bro, you have no idea, because first it was us, right? We're cheering.
Josh
We're. We're.
Sevas
We're cheering on. It was us, Right? And I think you have the video. Yeah, the replay. So. So that's us. That's all of us. I. I'm in the front, but that's all of us. Look, I see you. I see Robert.
Josh
I hopped off. See you.
Robert
I see Morelia.
Josh
Yeah.
Sevas
Oh, there's Josh. Yeah, Josh is right there. Robert's right there, and I'm right there. I'm just the one that looks like Jesus Christ. So it's like, you know, so. So I was like, okay, that's cool. Right? And then I started getting even more messages. Like, bro, you keep coming out. I'm like, of where?
Josh
Been out.
Sevas
Been out. Hi. I was like, what? That's crazy. And then I see more videos of me coming out, and there was, like, this one specific one where it's just me by myself, and, like, the camera's going upward like that, and I'm just like this. And then my whole family, every mom, my friends, bro, like, who doesn't even have social media, he text me, and he was like,
Josh
oh, that shot right there. Yeah.
Sevas
And, bro, can I tell you something? Like. Like, bro, how epic is that shot? Insane about wet. Look at the passion. And, like, I Don't even think you saw me, Josh. But there was this one moment when
Josh
I read a tick tock that somebody posted.
Robert
Yeah, this is somebody. Somebody.
Sevas
Yeah, yeah. I didn't tell you, or maybe you didn't see me, but I was there for a moment because I didn't even sit down that whole game at all. We did it.
Josh
No, we got asked to, but I sat down.
Sevas
Yeah, but I sat down and I was looking at my shit. Just kind of like reading everything and seeing what my mom was saying, you know, And I was kind of literally. And then Karen's. Karen looks at me, she goes, are you okay? And I kid you not, once she said, are you okay? I already saw that, that single one when she said, are you okay? I don't know what, what, what chord that hit, but I started tearing up and I think I just started tearing up because I was having such a good time. And like, how cool is it that that just happened to me?
Josh
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Sevas
And how cool is it that, like, all my friends and family are like, I guess, proud of me for I didn't do anything, but you know what I mean? Like, they're looking at me like I did. Just did the coolest thing in the world. So I'm just kind of like. I started tearing up. I'm like, wow, how. What a special moment for. For me and my friends and for me in general, for. For just like standing out like that. And it was just a beautiful thing that that was happening. And at the same time, I'm like, oh, my God, I gotta concentrate on this. Like, how cool is that? And. And the game? And we're down, three, two. And it's just like. It was a lot of emotions and I was just like, no, I'm just, like, I told my wife, I was just really. I think I just said, like, I'm just really happy, you know, and just like, just such a beautiful thing that was going on at that moment. And I love the shots that they took of me too. I was like, oh, that's a good angle of me too. I was like, good job, cameraman. And then there was another one too, where we looked a little sad. And then I keep telling everybody, my mom, she said, And I'm like, wouldn't you. Wouldn't you, mom? I mean, the aura speaks for itself, you know? No, but all jokes aside, I just think me, Josh, Robert, we were just a speck of green. And like Josh said, we were a speck of green amongst a huge canvas of white.
Josh
That's true.
Sevas
And we were showing so much passion.
Josh
We.
Sevas
We got good seeds. I think that helped too. And honestly, just the right time at the. The right place at the right time. But I mean, I do believe in like, aura, and we had aura, or else why would he not pick a sad shot?
Josh
There was a shot that we looked.
Sevas
There was a there. I think it was that one. Yeah, See, look, there's a nose, but
Robert
it just kind of keeps going. I think it has like.
Josh
And it comes back.
Sevas
Yeah, there's. There's another shot where we're like this. Like this. No, it wasn't that one. It was another one. It was three. It was for sure three. I don't know if there was more, but there was for sure 3. There was another one where we look a little sad, like kind of like stressed out. But my mom said, like, out of 80,000 plus people, it's crazy that they chose you, you know?
Josh
And I'm like, yeah, bro, that stadium is so iconic. And it makes sense, bro, because I've always heard about it, you know, but like, like I said, being there, you can't even put it into words. You can't. It doesn't. You gotta like, it's almost. What's that thing people say? Like, you had to be there. How to be the only way you can feel that.
Sevas
And I just hope it before I pass away that it goes back to Mexico.
Josh
Well, they said 2038.
Sevas
I saw that. But I don't believe shit until it's actually official, you know?
Josh
2038, though, even if that is just a long time away, bro. 12 years.
Sevas
It is. Until I go up to you one day and I said, can you believe it's 2038 already?
Josh
I know, I know.
Sevas
And then we both finally came out and we're together, bro.
Josh
That, that, that doesn't. It just sound like. Like it doesn't exist. 20, like 30. 2038 just sounds so like, yeah, crazy
Sevas
time goes by somewhat slow, but it doesn't. Yeah, I mean, 2020, it was just covet. And it's just like, damn. Remember Covid?
Josh
Yeah.
Sevas
20, 26 years ago, you know, we thought that that wasn't going to be over. And it's just like, time is crazy, bro. That's why. Try not to worry about time too much. Just try to worry about being in the moment.
Josh
It's just crazy when you plan for things and you're looking forward to things for like such a long period of time and then they just happen. Then they're like a thing of the past. And that's it like. And they happen so fast, bro.
Sevas
So fast. So fast.
Josh
Almost. The anticipation is like, last longer than the actual experience. Than the actual.
Sevas
Yeah, yeah. 100.
Josh
Where you're like, oh, my God, I'm gonna go wherever I have this thing to do.
Robert
That's how I felt last year when going to Puerto Rico to see my money.
Josh
Yeah.
Robert
Like, leading up to it, it was so exciting.
Josh
Yeah. But I still have two months or
Robert
whatever there, and it was amazing. And afterwards I was like, okay, well that's it.
Josh
Now you got to plan the next thing.
Sevas
Yeah, exactly.
Josh
He's still touring, right? Like, he's still doing shows like a year ago.
Sevas
Right.
Josh
He doesn't stop. That man works.
Robert
Works.
Josh
Which is like super impressive. Like, especially somebody at like that status and stature, like, just going for it, bro. That's really cool. That's like seizing the opportunity that you, like, got.
Sevas
Yeah.
Josh
Handed.
Sevas
But yeah, I mean, being on TV and just like, obviously we lost, but I mean, nothing will ever take away the fact that we fought for that game. And, and, and, and hats off to England for performing like that, having 10 men and still beating us, you know, it was just a great game, what a great experience. I would. It was worth every single cent. And I can't wait to live through that again, especially with, with my, with my friends who I love so much. But yeah, it was great.
Josh
I mean, I will say, like, obviously I'm. I was so sad after Mexico lost, bro, because I. We had put so much. I saw a TikTok and I think I brought this up earlier. Like, it was like we got love bombed. Like, there was so much I believed, bro. I believed and I still believe in the team, but it was just like, I thought we were going all the way.
Sevas
Yeah.
Josh
I thought, this is it there. We're about to experience something that has never been seen before. So Toulouse was like, very, very, like, heartbreaking. But what a ride, man. What, like, what a ride from like, you know, from the group stages, just all of that, like the lead up for it, the collaboration that we did with Salute, like everything, dude, I was so emotionally invested, like, more than I ever have been in any sporting event. So, like, that heartbreak, like, that loss, like, felt like a heartbreak.
Sevas
Yeah.
Josh
Like that night I was like, sad.
Sevas
I've. I've never sad. I've. You know, I've been a football fan for such a long time. And when I say football, don't think I'm saying like the, this pointy ball American. I'm talking about real football. Football, soccer. I'VE been such a fan for such a long time. And just being at the World cup, it was kind of like a childhood dream of mine. And yeah, just like you said, Josh, I've never experienced such a heartbreak. But at the same time, I only experienced such a heartbreak because leading up to it and even before, I've experienced so much love for our country. And that's why, you know, the heartbreak was that much bigger. And I even saw you, Jess, you're getting teary eyed and you're crying, and it's just like, I felt that too, you know, I felt that. And it's just like, that's why the World cup is beautiful. And you know what? I'm so freaking excited. And I'm so happy as well, because I've been talking about the World cup with my wife since the last World cup ended. And I said, you know what? This World Cup, I want to be more special. I want to be more involved. Involved with you. And, man, she is loving the games. She is loving the whole energy. She is loving participating in whatever it is that the World cup is bringing. And it just makes me so happy that she knows so much more about the sport.
Josh
Yeah.
Sevas
And about the players and this. And it actually excites her and me being her husband, to see her actually be involved in something that I know is new to her because I've known her for so long. It's cool, man. So the World cup, the World cup has just brought so much good things.
Josh
I know, I know. It really has. Going back to, like, Mexico losing, I saw this one comment where this girl was like. I felt like Mexico losing was like the life of the party leaving early.
Sevas
Yeah.
Josh
Because, like, the World Cup, I'm so excited to watch it. Right. Like, to your point, like, it's still very exciting, but I'm like, damn, Mexico's out. I'm just like, like, you know, I'm just watching. Like, this is. This is really cool.
Sevas
And imagine if you're not. And like, bro, I can't imagine, like, not being Mexican. And like, maybe people back at home can relate, but, like, if you're not Mexican, you know, you're going to a Mexican watch party and you're so excited.
Josh
Yeah.
Sevas
You're probably more excited than like any other watch party.
Josh
Yeah.
Sevas
You know, it's gonna be crazy lit. I mean, even, like, don't you think, like, even thinking back right now, like, all these memories that you've done, bro, you have done so much like us, everybody. But even, like speaking just to you, Josh, you have done so much involving the World Cup. Look at all these memories that you've done already, you know, and say with me, I just remember I was in Puerto Vallarta, you know, watching South Korea play with my family and then.
Josh
That's right.
Sevas
You know, having a watch party and this and that and just these, these things leading up to it, you know, it's just such a cool thing that it brings.
Josh
Yeah, I, I felt like maybe it's just me, but. Because I was just more emotionally invested this time around. But this just felt bigger than any World Cup I've been a part of or like I've experienced in my lifetime,
Sevas
especially us being the host.
Josh
Yeah. And I think. Yeah, you're right, you're right.
Sevas
Yeah, you're right.
Josh
No, but like, imagine how that feel next.
Sevas
Well, I don't know, but it could 100 and you know what the same level be there. But the experience is just going to change a bit, you know. And honestly, I think the next World cup is in Portugal. Morocco. Morocco. Spain and Spain. Right. So imagine us being out there.
Josh
That would be crazy.
Sevas
We'll just be out there for like, I don't know, we'll just follow Mexico.
Josh
Yeah. Because a lot of people when they were traveling for the World Cup, I feel like they would be out there for like a month.
Sevas
Yeah.
Josh
Like people are there throughout the whole time.
Sevas
Yeah.
Josh
So it'd be really cool to be out there for like two weeks.
Sevas
And it's really cool how like people that would go to Mexico, because normally you would go follow your team, leave the next day.
Josh
Yeah.
Sevas
These people would just get there a couple days before and be there a couple days after because they wanted a vacation in Mexico. So it felt good to know that people were just like with our, our country so much, you know, and when I say our country, it's like the homeland, the country that we raised and our, our grandparents were in, our family was in. I don't know, maybe you're born there as well, but obviously the US is cool as too.
Josh
Yeah.
Sevas
Let's not forget that, you know.
Robert
Yeah.
Sevas
So it's really cool. It's. It's amazing. There's this video that tripped me the out. My cousin has a small restaurant and not small, it's pretty big, but in a small town. And they were all watching the game there. All my family was. Right. And they showed me the video, the security footage video of when they saw me on Televondo. And you can just see kind of the TV at a corner. You can see that scene When I'm like, it's all of us like this. And immediately all of my family goes like this. You can't hear the audio, but everyone's like this.
Josh
Oh, my God.
Sevas
And people are like. And my whole family was, like. The reaction was, like, so priceless, because I couldn't even imagine what. What went through their head.
Josh
Yeah.
Sevas
When they just saw their nephew and their cousin right there.
Josh
Yeah.
Sevas
And I'm. It just, like, baffled me.
Josh
Cousin. What?
Sevas
Well, because my.
Josh
Oh, got it.
Sevas
Because my aunts and my. My nephews. Yeah. Everybody was there, so it's just, like, baffled me. But, yeah. What an experience, bro.
Josh
It was. It's something I'll hold in my heart forever. I'll cherish. It was not only just the game, but the whole trip itself. Like. Like, we were there for, what, 42 hours? But every hour was so special. Being there and to experience it with friends, bro, it's just, like, such a blessing. There's still World cup games going on. If you have the privilege to go, like, try to go to a game.
Sevas
Yeah, it is. And a lot of people are like, oh, it's so expensive, and I don't want to sit at the top. Look, if that's maybe all you can afford, I still think it's worth it. I would. I'll sit anywhere, bro. Just to be there.
Josh
Yeah.
Sevas
Is worth it.
Josh
Yeah.
Sevas
It's so nice. It's so nice.
Josh
Agreed.
Robert
All the comments of everybody saying, I saw you on tv. I knew that was you, Sevas. I screamed like I knew you. My family.
Sevas
And that's another thing that thanks, actually, for reminding me is I'm telling you guys, the amount of dms and comments and messages that I got was insane. And it, you know, like, on. I've said this before, but you know how, like, on every game, they always show, like, a pretty girl.
Josh
Yeah.
Sevas
And, like, she's kind of the main character of the game.
Josh
Yes. Like the Portugal twins.
Sevas
Yeah. And there was another one that I forgot that, like, the cameraman in, like, the program, they know what they're doing. So, like, I felt like they picked me for that game.
Josh
The pretty girl.
Sevas
I was a pretty girl. I was like, oh, yeah. You know? But no, it's. What an experience. But I wanted to say before we end the. End the show. So I'm glad we talked about our Mexico experience. There's definitely more to talk about. But I wanted to thank everybody, too, because when I saw these messages, like, on the. My pictures, my reel, and stuff like that, and even the people that dm me, like, the amount of love that you guys in the sentences you guys would tell me, like, oh, my God, I knew that was you. I love that they picked you. I love that it was you guys. I. You know, they would tell me kind of like a backstory. Like, when I saw it, it was like. It was like my brother, my. My. My primo was there, and I was rooting for you guys. And even, like, to the point where people were telling me, like, thank you so much for representing, like, that passion and the Mexican team. And for me, I'm just like, me. I'm just being like, just me. Right. But, like, you never know, like, I guess how your actions and who you actually are as a human can translate to somebody else. So I was, like, really, like, proud of that. And the positive feedback that people were giving me from just seeing me. It was almost like seeing me and seeing us on Telemundo or Fox Sports, whatever, was representing the viewers from La Platica.
Robert
Yeah.
Sevas
You know, if you watch the show or not. But it was like we were there representing you, so that was really cool.
Robert
Thanks for that. That's so special.
Sevas
Yeah, it was really cool. And I was just, like. I was just literally. No, I'm telling you, I started crying. Yeah, I was a little pedal. But definitely it was very emotional. But, yeah, that was our experience. We lost. We went to go have caldo after. So random. I was kind of pedo. And then we all of a sudden are like, caldo spa.
Josh
And I'm like, who recommended it? And I was a little like. I mean, I guess. But it hit, bro. Yeah, it was so good.
Sevas
We were so hungry. I swear to God, I was, like, not blacking out, but, like, I was like, you know when you're just kind of drun. Like, the next day, your memory is just completely lost. But I remember getting to that spot, and I was like, okay, give me. See the menu. Like, it's almost like I went from, like, sleeping in the car to the restaurant. And when I got to the restaurant, I was like, I. I wake up and I start remembering things, and I'm like, cool. What's. What's the restaurant? Tacos a pastor or what? And I was like, caldo de poo. Caldo de poo. Compata, Calo. Something else. But they also had, like, moles. Enchiladas and mole. Huh.
Josh
I don't even know what I ate.
Sevas
Me neither. But, like, that caldo was the best. And it was, like, perfect enough to eat at that moment.
Josh
Yeah.
Sevas
You know, it Was like, so freaking good. Shout out to the homie, David. And that's it. We just went to sleep. You know, we didn't even party after. We were just so tired. And then we had an early flight the next day, and that's it. And then we sat even more. Oh, can I just say something real quick? I have nothing wrong. I have nothing bad to say about seats on the flight, but I will say this right now. There is one seat that I don't think anybody should experience.
Josh
They should just remove that seat.
Sevas
They should remove that seat.
Josh
I agree.
Sevas
You know, because I've told you about it.
Josh
Yeah.
Sevas
I experienced something that I've never experienced before. Okay. Sitting in the back, no big deal. Sit in the middle, no big deal. Sit in the front, no big deal. Before I end this episode, I gotta talk to you about something. We sat in the very, very back. As in last row. It was 31. That I remember. 31 row, 31, last row. I'm not tripping. Who cares? I'm gonna knock out. I watch a movie. I'm not tripping. Where I sit, right. I'm right in back of the fucking bathroom. Like, there's nothing in back of me. It's just a bathroom. And it kind of sucks because this is how much I can move my seat in the back. And it's funny because he was sitting in the bath in the back too. But you had space.
Josh
It was weird. My seat went.
Sevas
Yeah, I was in back of a bathroom. Right, Whatever. I don't care. I'm not complaining. I'm not one to complain. But what I will complain is don't sit on the last fucking row on the aisle side. Because what happens is after the cart lady, or after the.
Robert
The. The.
Sevas
The hero, Mosa drops off, drinks, chips, cookies, whatever it is, and everybody has their little drink and their cookies, and she comes back and that's it. Guess what people have to do after that?
Robert
Go to the bathroom.
Sevas
They have to take a piss and a shit. Cool. Whatever. Probably me too. So do I. But what you don't realize is if you're in the last row on the aisle, the middle seat is even better. But on the aisle, there's. So for two hours, I kid you not, the line was more than I
Josh
woke up and I, like, looked online. It took me like this to finish the whole line.
Sevas
I was like, dang, for more than two hours. I kid you not. There was a line to go to the bathroom, and once somebody left, another person walked in. And mind you, the aisle is not that Big. And for some reason, I had the most biggest dudes needing to take a piss. So what happens? It's really annoying. I don't mind people walking through. What I mind is people don't give a about your personal space. I'm right here, mind you. Bathroom's right here. I was right here. People are hitting me with their elbows. They're using the.
Josh
The.
Sevas
My front seat as like. Like, just to recline on. And I'm talking about, like, you can't see me, but, like, I'm not gonna stand up, but, like, they'll hang over. And I'm like this, like, kind of inconsiderate. And I'm like this, bro. And I'm like, they have their dicks in my face.
Josh
Yeah.
Sevas
I'm like, bro, back up. For two hours. I had in my face for two hours. And mind you, some of them would take a. And it would smell like. So imagine your face with the smell of for two hours, bro. The whole time I was looking at my wife like this, like, oh, my God, I'm really going through. You can't sleep because they're moving your seat. You got these nasty ass on me like this with their man titties in my face with their. I don't know what's worse. Having a in my face with their big ass pansas like this for two hours, bro.
Josh
That's crazy.
Sevas
Yeah. Other than that, that's it. Don't ever sit there.
Josh
Yeah. If you can avoid that seat.
Sevas
That's the worst, bro.
Josh
Yeah. I would look over and I feel bad for you.
Sevas
I'm like, is this just the seats and the vibes that I'm gonna get? Like, whatever, you know, like, whatever metal. I'm gonna be a stronger person after this. Now. I know.
Josh
Yeah.
Sevas
No matter what, I'll never sit here. But I was literally about to say, like. Should I say, like, hey, back the up.
Josh
But where are they gonna go, bro?
Sevas
That's what I'm saying. Exactly. It's like, where are they gonna go? Right? And like, if there's turbulence, I'm not gonna let them, like, just wiggle around. Like, they gotta hold on to something that's just to see. And that's why I didn't say anything, because I was like, this is just the vibe of the seat. This is the shittiest seat on the floor, on the plane.
Josh
They could remove those seats, bro.
Sevas
They can remove those seats. Remove them? Yeah, please. I'm gonna petition to remove those seeds because nobody should suffer like that. Nobody.
Josh
I agree.
Sevas
Especially my princess. Ass.
Josh
I was just on Telemundo, bro. Do you not recognize me, superstar?
Sevas
Oh my God. And speaking about that, remember we went to the restaurant the last night we had the Caldo restaurant.
Josh
Oh yeah.
Sevas
A kid. This is a real 15 years old Mexican kid. He doesn't know about the Platica or me or Josh or anybody. He doesn't know anybody. He goes up to me, he goes, hey, swear that. I swear to God.
Josh
I was like, I was like, even
Sevas
I was like, oh, that's kind of when it hit me, I'm like like yeah, you're right. I mean the whole world saw this game.
Josh
Yeah.
Sevas
And they saw me at a specific time and us where they replayed such an important almost goal.
Josh
Yeah.
Sevas
