Sebas
No, I can't.
Josh Leyva
No, I can't do it.
Sebas
It's okay. It's go see.
Josh Leyva

Sebas
Let me be honest, every guest is a privilege.
Josh Leyva
Do we want to go there?
Sebas
Get jolly?
Josh Leyva
Cuz I'm on a podcast with Josh Labor.
Sebas
Hell yeah, you have too.
Josh Leyva
Ladies and gentlemen, let me just tell you.
C
La platica 207.
Sebas
Yeah, if you. Yeah, no, this is the first time you see me in this outfit, actually. Okay, yeah, we won't talk about that.
Josh Leyva
If you see me in this outfit next week.
Sebas
Yeah, next week. Just know that we've had a Busy day?
Josh Leyva
We've been busy.
Sebas
Yeah. 100.
Josh Leyva
Could we have change?
Sebas
Sure.
Josh Leyva
Do we want to?
Sebas
No. Does it matter now? Are we here? Yes.
Josh Leyva
Come on, baby.
Sebas

C
My jersey doesn't.
Josh Leyva
Oh, maybe it's a little Easter egg for what's to come.
Sebas
Oh, I like that. Okay.
Josh Leyva
The egg has been Eastered.
Sebas
The Easter has been egged. Yeah. Shout out to count four. Always a good time. Always a good day.
Josh Leyva
Yo, I want to party at C4. Me too.
Sebas
I want to sit behind there too. Maybe one day they should sit here.
Josh Leyva
And me and you send them back.
Sebas
Wouldn't that.
Josh Leyva
That would be really cool.
Sebas
Yeah, that would be cool. Yeah. Happy Monday.
Josh Leyva
What's up, baby?
Sebas
Hashtag Mondays don't suck.
Josh Leyva
Not no more. I want.
Sebas
I want you to be real with me because I was speaking with my wife and she. It's starting to grow on her.
Josh Leyva
Okay.
Sebas
And we. We were on vacation recently and I was rocking it like this. What you think about the middle part? Be 100 real.
Josh Leyva
It's a little Alfalfa. If you guys don't know who alfalfa is. Matt, can you put a photo of Alfalfa?
Sebas
I just see the.
Josh Leyva
Just a little pink. The top right there and. You got it. I don't mind it. I don't mind it. I personally. Personally, if you're asking me the Josh.
Sebas
Leyva without the headphones.
Josh Leyva
No, I've seen it. It's not bad. It's a vibe. It's a. That's you phone. I think it looks better. Just slick back.
Sebas
Got it.
Josh Leyva
Like, just the pure.
Sebas
Like clean Antonio Banderas.
Josh Leyva
Yes. This. It's a vibe. I get it. Second favorite. It's a runner up for me.
Sebas
Got it.
Josh Leyva
Yeah.
Sebas
What does your wife say when she first saw. She was like, it's okay. I like. It's like not. There's a better ones, but it's growing on her. But today she's. Oh, you look nice today.
Josh Leyva
Oh, it's the middle part.
Sebas
I think she said that.
Josh Leyva
Is it perfect? Can you look at me straight? It curves a little to the right.
Sebas
It's hard. It's hard to do.
Josh Leyva
There's a lot of pauses going on.
Sebas
It's hard to do.
Josh Leyva
Curve to the right. It's hard.
Sebas
It's hard.
Josh Leyva
No, I get it. Cuz you got to be Pristine. You use a ruler?
Sebas
No, it's. I use a laser.
Josh Leyva
Oh, yeah, like the. For the. The. The. A stuff finder mat dying. It wasn't that camera for lit. I just picture that. That's why, like. Yeah, it's not straight right now, bro.
Sebas
Yeah. You know, having long hair, you kind of get bored of what the hairstyles that you do, so you kind of.
Josh Leyva
Just switch it up, dude, I can. I think that you should cut it at the beginning of next year. Like, just cut it, bro.
Sebas
Yeah, I've been thinking about it, but.
Josh Leyva
But not right now. You know what I think you should do? I think you should cut it, let it grow a little bit, and then dye it. Go back to your blonde. Like being a retro bro.
Sebas
Me with my hair, once I bleach it, I start getting. I start shedding a lot.
Josh Leyva
Oh, really?
Sebas
Yeah.
Josh Leyva
You don't miss, like the. The variety.
Sebas
I would bleach it again if it was a lot shorter.
Josh Leyva
Okay. That's what I'm saying.
Sebas
Yeah.
Josh Leyva
Yeah. Maybe the bleach was a vibe, bro.
Sebas
It was. It was a good vibe.
Josh Leyva
That was 2002.
Sebas
That was the shoebox studio.
Josh Leyva
This is wedding.
Sebas
Yes. They. Yeah, I know.
Josh Leyva
You were like, holding on to it.
Sebas
Yeah. Karen was like, you better. You better go back to dark for the wedding.
Josh Leyva
And you were kind of regretting it a little bit.
Sebas
Yeah, I wish I was blonde for the wedding. I really do. I really like the. The hair like that. Blonde.
Josh Leyva
Yeah.
Sebas
Cuz it was kind of like once I. Once. It was my wedding, I was back to dark and it was kind of like a shock for me. I didn't like it. I wanted to go back to blonde and.
Josh Leyva
Yeah, no, I get you. Because it's like you're. You just feel off, right? Like you're like, I'm not.
Sebas
Yeah. I felt like I just look different because I was blonde for so long.
Josh Leyva
Yeah, it did look a little different, but it grew on me quick.
Sebas
It's gonna be timeless. I. I don't think I'll regret it later. That's a vibe, but.
Josh Leyva
Yeah.
Sebas
Welcome, everybody. One. Like we said, we have a really special episode next week as well, so tune in.
Josh Leyva
Oh, my God. Next week's episode is gonna be a home run.
Sebas
He just gave it away.
Josh Leyva
I didn't. We're gonna knock it out of the park on the next one, bro. You ever stole third?
Sebas
Huh? Stealing third?
Josh Leyva
Yeah. Yeah, yeah. Stealing third is. Yeah. Come on, man. Baseball lingo.
Sebas
Yeah.
Josh Leyva
You don't get it.
Sebas
How's everything with you, man?
Josh Leyva
Listen, bro, I've been through the ringer, and I actually wanted to take this moment for this episode to discuss the. The drama that I'm currently in with the La Platica Nation. I'm under fire right now.
Sebas
There's no way you're under drama with La Platica Nation.
Josh Leyva
The nation, according to camera four.
Sebas
I doubt it's Platica Nation.
Josh Leyva
It's Platika Nation. Platica Nation is pissed.
Sebas
No, they're not. They never get pissed.
Josh Leyva
Look, we're gonna talk about it. We're gonna dive into this drama because this is serious. And I felt the weight of it this past week, and I kind of ignored it because I was like, I'm gonna talk about it because I feel like I'm being misunderstood right now. And. And I'm going to break this down. And there's a lot of variables that goes into this specific situation that. Do you even know what's happening?
Sebas
No.
Josh Leyva
Do you even know what's happening right now?
Sebas
No, I don't.
Josh Leyva
Do you know what's happening ever?
Sebas
No, no, no. I think I know what you're talking about.
Josh Leyva
So look, for those of you guys who don't know what's going on, last week's episode, there was a moment where it. Was it last week or was it two weeks ago?
C
It's like a couple weeks ago.
Josh Leyva
Oh, it was two weeks, was it? Yeah. Wow.
Sebas
It wasn't even last week's episode. It was talking about something from two weeks ago.
Josh Leyva
Is it two weeks ago? Yeah. Wow. Okay, so see?
Sebas
Get over it, bro.
Josh Leyva
This only adds to my point. No, we're gonna talk about the drama, bro. Where this is a safe.
Sebas
What? Drama?
Josh Leyva
There's drama last week. Two weeks ago. So if you're two weeks ago and you didn't watch last week's episode, just go look at the comments. The comments are flooded, bro. They're pissed. They're pissed at me. I'm not even joking. They're really upset because there was, like, a moment in the episode. Oh, it was two weeks ago. You're right where I cut you off. You were in the middle of talking about something and I cut you off, and I went into promoting my brand. I was rude, I was inconsiderate. I just didn't care what you had to say. All I wanted to do was talk about Salud.
Sebas
You weren't, though.
Josh Leyva
Well, that's what the comments said. Okay. And looking back, when I first read those comments, I was kind of confused because I was like, what moment are they talking about? And I honestly just didn't really have the energy at the time and time to, like, go through the video. And then it popped up on my TikTok. It became one of those, like, chisme things where basically we're like, josh is under fire because he just. There was, like, a moment where he cuts off Sebas to talk about Salud. He talked. He went to go promote his brand.
Sebas
Okay.
Josh Leyva
And I was like, when did I do that? And then I watched back the episode, and then I saw the moment, and then I was like, I get what people are saying. I understand how it could come across like that, But I want to. I want to. I want to rest my case, and I don't want to just let it go because it bothered me that people, one, think that I. That I'm rude like that. That, like, I don't care about what you have to say, because I do, obviously, why we have a podcast for three years. Because I enjoy having a conversation with you. Right? That's really what it is. We're having conversations with each other all the time. And then two, that I like. My whole premise is just to, like, promote the brand. I get it. I talk about Salud a lot. I understand. I get it. I'll be the first one to admit it. But I love my brand, and if there. And I get excited to share the new stuff that's happening with the. With the brand and stuff like that, so. And having a platform, having this podcast, it's allowed me to express what's happening within the brand. Right. But that's not the point. Here's what we're going to break down. I feel like a lot of people fail to realize that our relationship is real. Right. You and I are best friends.
Sebas
Right.
Josh Leyva
And the way we talk to each other on the podcast is very similar to how we talk to each other outside of the podcast. But there are moments where we're podcasting where things are a little bit more exaggerated. Right. For entertainment purposes, whether I be like, maybe I do cut you off, but it's more as a joke. Right? It's more to, like, emphasize a joke or a moment, or maybe I say something out of pocket towards you, but it's just to potentially create a laugh, create an awkward moment. And people have really have taken that and being like, oh, they're like. They're either beefing it, they're over each other, they're annoyed. Josh just wants to promote his brand, and I understand how people can feel like that, but I want people to realize that, one, our relationship is real 2. There are moments where we podcast.
Sebas
Okay?
Josh Leyva
Now, the main chunk of this whole thing is that I care so much about the audience and the audience experience.
Sebas
Okay?
Josh Leyva
And when we recorded that episode, we were. A lot of the times, like, what we're doing today, we're recording two episodes, meaning we're behind, we're ahead. But then when the episodes come live, this is a while back, it's behind. Right. That episode where I cut you off was moments days before our live show, meaning we were going to do. Let's say we recorded Monday. Our live show was Friday. That episode that we recorded was going live Monday.
Sebas
Yeah.
Josh Leyva
Okay.
Sebas
After the live show.
Josh Leyva
Correct. And what we did on that episode was talk about our experience on the live show. That it was amazing, that it was great, but it hadn't happened yet. We were just doing it for the user experience, right? Like, oh, the show was great. I knew that when we actually did the live show. I hope you guys are following along here. Sorry. When we actually did the live show, just so I'm barely like, I'm trying.
Sebas
To keep up with you right now.
Josh Leyva
I saw you.
Sebas
Okay, bro. I'm like, hold it up.
Josh Leyva
I feel like a attorney, bro. Do you follow? Your honor, when we did the live show, what we were gonna do naturally as humans was talk about the actual experience. So during that, I knew I jumped ahead. I'm fucking two steps advanced. I was like, we're gonna talk about the live show right now, and then we're gonna talk about the live show again. So what I wanted to spare was the audience having to listen to us talk about the live show twice. That's what I was trying to do. So when I cut you off, cut you off, it was more about like, bro, let's not do that, because we're gonna do that the next episode. That was my reasoning. It wasn't to be like, shut up. I don't care what you have to say. And that's how it was taken. And that's why I'm bothered, because I was like, bro, that's not what I was trying to do. I was trying to make. I was trying to help you guys so you guys don't, like, get bored and listen to us talk about the same thing over and over again.
Sebas
Yeah, yeah.
Josh Leyva
So it was like, I rest my case, your honor.
Sebas
Bro, you're good.
Josh Leyva
And to the jury, off, dude.
Sebas
Great story. A lot of passion.
Josh Leyva
A lot of passion. But, you know, now look, look.
Sebas
A, B, A never felt that you cut me off. Never.
Josh Leyva
And that's probably the most important person.
Sebas
Yeah. Even, like, here.
Josh Leyva
Yeah.
Sebas
Or outside. I never feel like you cut me off.
Josh Leyva
Yeah.
Sebas
We're friends.
Josh Leyva
Sure.
Sebas
We're supposed to cut each other off. I never felt that way.
Josh Leyva
Okay.
Sebas
And B, I feel like people who really watch you, people who really listen to you, they know what's up, bro.
Josh Leyva
The comments were about that. Like, it's kind of rude that Josh did that all. He wants to talk about his brand, even though, like, Sevas has given him, like, the flowers. And I'm like, bro, I get that. It wasn't about that. And another thing, Jess produces our show for us. Before we get into the episode, we talk about what we're gonna do. Right. So we're like, hey, we're gonna talk about this. Then we're gonna jump into this. We said that we were gonna slightly touch on the show, and then we were gonna go into the promo of the new Saluth. I think it was the new greens. It was the greens.
Sebas
Yeah.
Josh Leyva
So I get it how I just happened to be like, that was the next bit that it seemed like I cut you off just to promote the product.
Sebas
Got it.
Josh Leyva
But, like, I was to spare the audience from having to listen to us talk about the same thing back to back.
Sebas
Yeah.
Josh Leyva
On weeks. That's what I was trying to do. And even, like, looking back at it, when I cut you off, like, when I did it, I was like, okay, maybe that did seem a little rude, but that wasn't my heart.
Sebas
You know what I mean?
Josh Leyva
Yeah. So it was just, like, ever so. My bad.
Sebas
Sorry. There's something that you want to do to make you feel better.
Josh Leyva
Can we talk about the new product of Salut.
Sebas
Use code.
Josh Leyva
I've only got 10 for 10 off, yo.
Sebas
Oh, my God.
Josh Leyva
Oh, sorry.
Sebas
I get it.
Josh Leyva
Yeah. Sorry. By the way, it's not love 10. It's. Man. I did it. I did it. It's platika 10, right? What do I keep saying? What do I say?
C
You keep saying the secret code, which is La platica.
Josh Leyva
Oh, it's just La platica. Got it. There's too many codes, bro. La platica will give you 10 off your taste. Salute. Purchase not.
Sebas
Yeah, I'm glad that you got that off your chest.
Josh Leyva
I feel better, man.
Sebas
Yeah, I'm glad. Because honestly, when you get things off your chest, I know that you care, and you do care. You're somebody who has a big heart. Little dick, big heart.
Josh Leyva
That's fair. No, honestly, that's fair. Huge heart.
Sebas
But listening to you, I'm like, oh, wow. Because I remember. I think you told me, like, on the plane.
Josh Leyva
I did. I was like, bro, did you see the channel? Yeah.
Sebas
Did you see the video? I'm like, no. Like, oh, look, it says. It says that he cut you off. I was like, but you didn't, though. And you're like, I know, but they're saying that I did. I'm like, but you didn't.
Josh Leyva
Yeah. You know what's interesting? I. So normally when we get on the Cheeseman channels, because we have our moments where we get on it, I. It's very. Just much on Tick Tock. Like all the comments. Because we get negative comments. Right. Which is fine. Like, I feel like the people who comment on, like, those kind of videos, like, they don't really with us like that. Which is totally cool.
Sebas
Yeah.
Josh Leyva
But this time it really translated into YouTube. Like, a lot of the comments on YouTube were saying that. So that means I'm like, people were really watching and just didn't like that moment. Or people actually made it a point to go, got it.
Sebas
Hence why you're talking about it. Because it was on YouTube.
Josh Leyva
Yeah. Because I think if it wasn't who brought it up to me? I think it might have been Robert who was like, did you see the comments? And then I was like, or was it you, Jazz Camera 4, when I.
C
Brought it up to you?
Josh Leyva
Yeah.
C
You were already aware of it.
Josh Leyva
Oh, so that was you.
C
I haven't seen you for a while.
Josh Leyva
True. Good point.
Sebas
Yeah.
Josh Leyva
Anyways, I know you gotta figure out. Yeah. But I get it. I kind of like that the audience defended you in that case and was very, like, protective over you. Because if I did cut you off and I was trying to promote a product, they were like, quick to be like, yo, that's fucked up, and called me out on it.
Sebas
Right.
Josh Leyva
But that wasn't my heart. But I get it. Like, if I really. Dude, if I really did do that, like, I really were looking back at it. I was like, oh, yeah, I did. Because I wanted to talk about prodding. I would take full accountability for it. But that's why I wanted to clear it, because one, I did want to clear it up. And two, I also really appreciated how much they, like, defended you because that's what they were doing. They didn't like the way you were being treated, especially seeing, like, how big your heart is towards the brand. So it's like Sevas has given Josh such a, like, room. A lane to talk about it, and then he is, like, stepping all over him. But it Wasn't the case. So don't get in your head. You're like, you should have never told me that, bitch.
Sebas
That's so funny.
Josh Leyva
Yeah.
Sebas
Social media.
Josh Leyva
Yeah. But I also feel like you're always like the villain, which is kind of interesting.
Sebas
Yeah.
Josh Leyva
Why do you think you're villainized?
Sebas
Middle part.
Josh Leyva
I was going to say that.
Sebas
My middle part.
Josh Leyva
Yeah, I was going to say that.
Sebas
Why do I think I'm villainized? Yeah, I don't think I'm like villainized, but I just feel like, I don't know.
Josh Leyva
To us, to a degree. Yeah, to a degree.
Sebas
I don't know.
Josh Leyva
Maybe.
Sebas
You know, so. No, but I think, I think, I think people maybe might take it that way, but I think like, truly deep inside they know like that's just the character, you know.
Josh Leyva
Do you feel like you're misunderstood?
Sebas
No, no. Do you said to maybe some people that, that don't really watch me.
Josh Leyva
Yeah.
Sebas
Or like, you know, listen or like have been day ones maybe. Yeah, of course. That's the whole point.
Josh Leyva
Yeah. Yeah. The thing is like you are a perfect person to like not. You just deal with criticism very well. That's what I'm trying to get to for the most part.
Sebas
Yeah.
Josh Leyva
Like I feel like we've gone through our, like our ups and downs and on the episode were on throughout the. Throughout the la platica and you've always handled everything really well. Versus me. On the other hand. I'm talking to a jury, a fake jury that doesn't exist.
Sebas
Yeah. No, I mean. Yeah. I just feel like at the end of the day, like I'm 35 years old.
Josh Leyva
Yeah.
Sebas
The person making a video of me or talking about me is probably 10 years younger than me. So why the would I get mad about that, you know?
Josh Leyva
Yeah.
Sebas
Like I'm a grown ass man. That's really it. And like my circle with me, you know.
Josh Leyva
Yeah. Like the people that matter many others.
Sebas
With me, like that's why I do the show because I know people love the show.
Josh Leyva
But is that. That you have to remind yourself of.
Sebas
Yeah.
Josh Leyva
Like during the moments that it's like all crashing.
Sebas
Yeah. I have feelings. Yeah. I don't want people thinking bad about me.
Josh Leyva
Yeah. But so you'll just be like, okay, what. What is really important here.
Sebas
Yeah. And that goes not just with this in real life.
Josh Leyva
Yeah.
Sebas
You know, my mom will be mad at me, you know, or somebody or I might have offended somebody like in my circle, you know. And then I think about it, you know, in that way. It's not Just this. Yeah, it's the whole overall life.
Josh Leyva
Does your mom still get mad at you?
Sebas
Not really. There's nothing really to be mad about anymore.
Josh Leyva
No, my mom doesn't get mad at me. She gets, like, very, like, sad with me. Like, if I.
Sebas
What do you do?
Josh Leyva
Like, I don't call her, like, I don't call her like, five days and stuff like that.
Sebas
No, there's still some things like that in my. In my, in my life that I might forget to do. Like, you know, there was times where I was, you know, traveling a lot and caught. And. Or, or. Or I'm not talking to my siblings as much or this. And, you know, she'll remind me like, hey, you know, you should do this. And I'm like, you know, ye up. You know, she'll. She'll like, check me in that way. And like, it's true, you know, but at the same time, I'm like, mom, like, life is so crazy sometimes, you know, I can't just remember everything or I can't just like, there's so much going on, you know, I have issues my. Myself, you know what I mean? Where I have to, like, you know, think about. And I. I'm dealing with. Or work and this and that. So just life in general. But, you know, it's good that my mom or even my dad will go there and like, check me and be like, at the end of the day, this is what matters, though.
Josh Leyva
Yeah.
Sebas
And I'm like, yeah. Yeah, you know, you're right. So it's good.
Josh Leyva
Yeah.
Sebas
It's good that we have parents like.
Josh Leyva
That I know who really care. Yeah.
Sebas
Because my mom is. She's an angel and so is my dad. But, you know, they. They taught me to bro.
Josh Leyva
You know what makes me sad is that when my mom calls me out for not being as, like just checking in on her when I'm like, I'm just caught up in life, like, my own life. My mom is so. And I mean this, like, respectfully. She's so low maintenance in the sense of like, I don't need to stay on the phone with her for an hour. She just wants to be like, amijo, Savien. Everything good? How's work? She just wants to. I can be on the phone with my mom for three minutes.
Sebas
Yeah.
Josh Leyva
I've timed it before a quick call. Good.
Sebas
Home to work.
Josh Leyva
She's good. She's good. Yeah. So then when she tells me that, she's like, I don't even give you a hard time. Like, I just need to hear Your voice. I'm gonna cry right now. Like, that hurts me.
Sebas
Yeah. Yeah, Same way. And that's, like, what really hurts me, too, that when your parents have to tell you that.
Josh Leyva
Yeah.
Sebas
You're like, it ruins my day.
Josh Leyva
Totally.
Sebas
It sucks. But we're. Obviously, you're. You're good at it.
Josh Leyva
Yeah, I try to be. I try to do it, but. Yeah. But.
Sebas
Yeah. No, that's just life.
Josh Leyva
Yep.
Sebas
In general.
Josh Leyva
Yeah.
Sebas
And in life, just the more older I get, the more I understand what's important and. And like, that. It's. It's insane, bro. My mom just. She just. It was just her birthday, you know.
Josh Leyva
Yeah.
Sebas
And I'm like, what I do. We just landed and, you know, I did something at the house, and it was just beautiful.
Josh Leyva
I loved it.
Sebas
It was beautiful. Yeah. My whole family was here from Alisco.
Josh Leyva
What?
Sebas
Not whole, but some of them. Yeah. And then some came from Washington state. I got family in Washington State. Shout out to Washington State. I was even telling them, look, I'm looking at the camera right now. I was telling the guys. I was like, we should go do a live show, like, in Seattle. I don't know if people are down for that. Yeah, there's a huge, like, LA community in Seattle. I think.
Josh Leyva
I think we should do that.
Sebas
I think I just want to go.
Josh Leyva
We should go to. Right. Just sell it out. Yeah, we should. I'm down, but I want to go to Texas, too, bro.
Sebas
Oh, 100%.
Josh Leyva
Yeah.
Sebas
Yeah. So, yeah. So, you know, just, like, being there, you know, I was just like, sit. Sitting down with my family. I was like, damn, this is what really matters.
Josh Leyva
Yeah, this is it.
Sebas
And it felt so. And I made my mom feel so special. Just like, the fact that, like. Because at first I was like, mom, she goes, you know me and, you know, Fulanita, we're gonna do, like, some food, blah, blah. I'm like, mom, it's your birthday. Like, don't cook. Just come, right? Just show up. Like, I was like, I'll handle the food. And this, I guess, like, ceviche. We're all by the pool. I got some tables because, like, I got the space to, like, host, like, my family, but I just don't have tables and chairs.
Josh Leyva
Okay.
Sebas
So I rented out, like, tables and chairs and stuff, and I just, like, did a little thing. Yeah. Got a mariachi. Shout out to Mariachi Jalisco. Super sick. Mariachi is super entertaining. Pulled up, pulled up. Super cool group and created the vibe.
Josh Leyva
You got Don Munchies.
Sebas
I got the munchies. The Marisco spot right there in Santa Fe Springs.
Josh Leyva
I'm not only am I super hungry right now, but those are some of the best Mariscos on, like, planet Earth, bro.
Sebas
I hit them up. I knew that they were from Santa Fe Springs or like, yeah, around that area.
Josh Leyva
Springs, yeah.
Sebas
And then I was like, hey, do you guys, like, deliver or anything? And I was like, this was like, last minute, bro. Immediately they're like, bro. Yeah. I was like, I live over here.
Josh Leyva
Yeah.
Sebas
Like, now, don't trip. We'll be there. Blah, blah. Super nice people, bro.
Josh Leyva
Bro.
Sebas
And like, obviously it's like Mariscos and ceviche and, like, needs to be fresh. Everything came like, I. I don't know.
Josh Leyva
I don't know if they deliver.
Sebas
I don't know if they just did this for me or anything. So, like, don't be like, yo, come over here, you know? But they gave it to me, like, in ice trays and, like, everything came out fresh, bro. They gave me like, 50 packets of tostadas.
Josh Leyva
Yeah, bro.
Sebas
They gave me the chiles, you know, like, they gave me the sasa, which all I had to open everything. Like, bro, they gave me the myones, everything stacked. The saltine.
Josh Leyva
They have, like, their own, like, mayonesa that they use, right? Like, it's like pink.
Sebas
It's like a spicy. Man, it looked like a spicy mayo type, dude.
Josh Leyva
I. I want to shout them out because not only are they delicious, but, like, their hospitality or their service, I should say, is like, impeccable. Like, they. They treat people like family. You can just see I've been into the restaurant before.
Sebas
Yeah.
Josh Leyva
And I just see people, like, just vibing, having a good time. You could just tell that's just because of the. The culture and environment they've created.
Sebas
Yeah.
Josh Leyva
And they're amazing people. They're amazing. I've, like, met a few of their family who owns.
Sebas
Oh, really?
Josh Leyva
Yeah. They're awesome.
Sebas
Yeah. Whoever I was talking to in dm, shout out to you. I don't know if you know this guy or girl, but super nice, bro. Like, right on. Fucking came on time. Everything, bro. With the fucking charolas. Like, who's hungry? I was a man.
Josh Leyva
Damn.
Sebas
I was a man. Yeah. My mom was happy, bro. We had a great time.
Josh Leyva
It looks Abby, bro. She. I. So I DM'd her and I just said, happy birthday. I hope you have a great day and stuff. And she's like, thank you for your kind words. And then you know what she hit me with? You're doing it right, Josh. You're Doing it right.
Sebas
She told me she said that.
Josh Leyva
So funny. Yeah, she's part of the team.
Sebas
One thing that I want to tell you about is. You watching any good tv?
Josh Leyva
Always.
Sebas
Are you watching New Wednesday?
Josh Leyva
Always. Even when it's not Wednesday.
Sebas
You watching the new Wednesday? You like the new Wednesday?
Josh Leyva
I love it, bro.
Sebas
Tell me why. I was watching the new season of Wednesday, and I was like, wait a minute. Why is Wednesday every Latina mom's worst nightmare?
Josh Leyva
Because if Wednesday Addams was my daughter, my mom would take me straight to Misa, bro. No stops, bro.
Sebas
Imagine Wednesday Adams even was your girl. What would your mom say, bro? La Rosa de Guadalupe would have made a two part special on her two part bro.
Josh Leyva
A two parter. Yo, our families with a. With a Wednesday, they would not play, bro. Yeah, it's not a joke.
Sebas
But I'll actually be proud of her, bro. Like, yeah, this is Wednesday. She likes to wear all black.
Josh Leyva
Yeah.
Sebas
She don't talk too much, but she cool. But she. She'll eat anything.
Josh Leyva
Mom put this in the way. Just straight. Just like, terrified of her.
Sebas
Everybody would be terrified of me. Yeah. But I wouldn't.
Josh Leyva
But that would be kind of badass. Like, I'd have her walk in first. Oh, y' all scared, huh?
Sebas
Yeah. Oh, y' all thought it was gonna be something different. No. No. Wednesday Adams, that's my baby girl.
Josh Leyva
What?
Sebas
And tell me why she brought a pet scorpion to the quince named the Necrosis.
Josh Leyva
Meanwhile, Tia Carmes, she's over there in the back doing Olympia with her. With an egg.
Sebas
Bro. She'd walk in all serious.
Josh Leyva
Yeah.
Sebas
In the party. Because I hope this party's over in flames. All dead ass. Serious.
Josh Leyva
Just low key, though. This is why people love Wednesday, right? It's like, you know, everyone has been like an outsider. Felt like a misfit. Right? But she is exactly that. So we can relate to it, right?
Sebas
Yeah.
Josh Leyva
Especially if you. If you have, like. If you've been like an artsy type of person or you're not into the whole, like, golden child vibes.
Sebas
And this season goes deep into that. Morticia pulls up to Nevermore, and we get to meet Grandmama.
Josh Leyva
Not the atoms bringing three generations of spooky Cheeseman.
Sebas
It's giving Latina matriarch showdown.
Josh Leyva
I've said that.
Sebas
Imagine your mom and your grandma pulling up to your school and your mom like.
Josh Leyva
Oh, hell no.
Sebas
Hell no. I feel like that's happened to me in the past.
Josh Leyva
Honestly, bro, the weight has been pure torture, which I feel Wednesday would actually enjoy, bro.
Sebas
Wednesday's back with more mayhem, more mystery, and more ways to roast your ass without blinking.
Josh Leyva
So if your inner emo still lives on or you just enjoy good TV, Wednesday season two is live now only on Netflix. And part two, September 3rd. It's gonna be live.
Sebas
Yeah, guys, y' all need to watch it, because if not, y' all gonna become the next La Rosa episode.
Josh Leyva
Bro, let's go on break. I need to, like, kind of, like, decompress after that.
Sebas
Yeah. You want to come over to my house on Wednesday and watch Wednesday?
Josh Leyva
No. I mean, yeah, it's a great show.
Sebas
Are we going on break?
Josh Leyva
Yeah, let's go on break. I'm scared. I need to decompress, fool.
Sebas
You spooked out?
Josh Leyva
I'm spooked out.
Sebas
All right, let's go on break.
Josh Leyva

Sebas
No.
Josh Leyva
No, Right? It's kind of whack.
Sebas
I. I think they understand what you're trying to say.
Josh Leyva
Yeah, I'm talking to the. To the masses.
Sebas
How about we always like to ask them what they prefer? So I think, like, we'll have some really good, like, ideas, and I think people comment under. Underneath it, and I think, like, the top highlighted one will get, like, you know, selected. Selected or highlighted? Yeah.
Josh Leyva
What, man? Can you do a favor and shit? It's kidding. Two are so mean to Matt.
Sebas
You are.
Josh Leyva
I know. It's me.
Sebas
And you interrupt people a lot.
Josh Leyva
Shut up, dude.
Sebas
Speaking about being an. We should do. We should. We should pick some. Or am I the. Yeah, let's do it.
Josh Leyva
See, I can't interrupt you if I say everything that you're saying at the same time.
Sebas
Ye. Because then you're not interrupting. You're mimicking me. No, you're not mimicking me. You're basically going with my flow.
Josh Leyva
Going with the flow.
Sebas
And that's okay.
Josh Leyva
Dude, we just got to know from our producer that there is a new Latino link.
Sebas
Go like this.
Josh Leyva
I got a moco.
Sebas
It wasn't. I don't know if it Was a moco. You're good now.
Josh Leyva
We got a note from our producer. Oh, yeah, she was holding up a sign.
Sebas
What does it say?
Josh Leyva
Said there is a new link located below where people can submit their questions. Where people can submit. You know.
Sebas
Okay, link. Link in the link in the description and then we'll link it obviously in the La Platika Instagram. Huh?
Josh Leyva
Yes.
Sebas
Yeah, yeah. Huh.
Josh Leyva
But yes, Will, because you don't do. Dude, yes, I do.
Sebas
I do a lot.
Josh Leyva
Like what? Like what? Say it. Go ahead. I dare you. I double dare you. Exactly. Sit. Look. Look at you. You're a child amongst men. You have Falfa, bro. All right, let's do. J has queued up for us. A. Am I the.
Sebas
I do a lot?
Josh Leyva
And you know what? Let's like, let's be extra like. Like, like, you know what I mean? Like sassy with this one. Like, let's be like. I feel like sometimes we're too nice. Like, let's like play it out, bro.
Sebas
All right, let's see.
Josh Leyva
Let's lay it out.
Sebas
Read them out.
Josh Leyva
Camera four. Hit me with it.
C
These are going to be. They' look a little bit different than what they've looked like in the past, so I'm gonna read them to you. They're like story times that I found that I think I would like to hear you guys perspective on. Okay.
Josh Leyva
I want to be an asshole.
Sebas
Let's see.
C
Okay, a little long, but just bear with me. My partner and I dined out at this Italian restaurant we've been to several times. It's not highly sophisticated, but pleasant enough that you get to sit down, order wine, have a relaxing evening. You know, the usual. Our server, let's name her Samantha, fake name, was kind of phased throughout. She lost my drink twice. She served the wrong starter, and she vanished for what seemed like an eternity. When it was, when it arrived, time to order dessert, it wasn't the end of the world. I've worked customer service myself and I get that hectic nights go wild. However, service was really poor. When the tech came, I paid and left a $10, 10% cash tip. Not excessive, but not nothing either. And I thought it was reasonable given the circumstances.
Sebas
Sure.
C
We were just standing up to leave when Samantha came over, took the cash and said, seriously, this is it. And she said it audibly. A few people at some nearby tables turned around and stared. I was taken aback.
Josh Leyva
Wow.
C
I didn't even know what to say first. Then she added, you know, servers can't pay their rent because of people like you, if you can't tip properly, don't dine out. The restaurant became totally silent, like sitcom silence. My girlfriend was wincing. I just remained calm and said, okay, I'm sorry you feel that way, and started to leave. Then, no kidding, she muttered, whatever. Cheap steaks. Long enough, loud enough that it was not only for us. So I went back over, walked to the table, took the tip, and left without another word. My girlfriend later informed me that I was. I did fine with it. But one of my friends feels like I had overstepped by insisting on getting the tip back. That no matter what, you just leave it and move on. I feel like to be scolded and humiliated on account of a 10% tip that I actually did leave is way out of bounds. So am I the asshole?
Sebas
No, no, she's the asshole.
Josh Leyva
No, you're allowed to do whatever you want. You leave a tip, it's coming out of your own, like, desire. Right. Based on the service that you feel like you experienced. Right. And you giving them a tip when I feel like you were kind of debating on, like, whether I should tip them or not because I'm not having a good experience. You giving them the 10 tip, I feel like that was your way of being like, okay, look, I'm not going to leave you nothing. But that wasn't the best experience.
Sebas
Yeah.
Josh Leyva
You know what I mean? And then for her, and tap like that 10 tip.
Sebas
A lot of people just leave 10% regardless if the experience was good or not.
Josh Leyva
That's very true. What's standard is standard.
Sebas
It's 10, 15, 20 after 20, 10.
Josh Leyva
Is like, totally cool.
Sebas
10 is the minimum.
Josh Leyva
But 20 is like, that's great.
Sebas
That's like, recommended. Even if it was good service. Yeah, I think a lot. I think some of us. Look, I'm 35 years old. I've been to many restaurants, as in my life. I think nowadays people. Which I understand, but I think nowadays people really expect a tip, no matter.
Josh Leyva
Matter what.
Sebas
It's part of the cuenta. It's part of the service. Right. And I get it sometimes too, you know. But, bro, back then, a tip was made or a tip was given when it was earned.
Josh Leyva
Yeah.
Sebas
When it was exceptional service, you had a great time and you wanted to help out the server because they. He or she was. Was having. They had a smile on their face the whole time. They helped out the whole time, and it was great.
Josh Leyva
Yes, I agree.
Sebas
I feel like nowadays it's. It's. You have to leave a tip and. And that's fine. But with that being said, I think if. Like, nowadays, if you have to. Have to. Have to leave a tip, you have to have good service.
Josh Leyva
Yeah. Do you feel like I have been a good friend to you in life?
Sebas
Yes, you do. You got water on your phone or something?
Josh Leyva
Listen, I'm trying to do a bit here, and you're it up.
Sebas
All right. Are you trying to have, like, good water service? Are you a water. Looks like you're trying to get water off your phone.
Josh Leyva
What the, man? Jeez, dude. Sorry for cursing mom. She watches this. Have I been a good friend to you?
Sebas
Yeah.
Josh Leyva
Oh, my God, bro.
Sebas
Yes, you have.
Josh Leyva
Well, then leave a tip, damn it.
Sebas
That's literally life nowadays.
Josh Leyva
I know, I know. That was the whole joke I was trying to make.
Sebas
No, it's. It's true. First of all, you're not the. I think she's an. For calling you out. If. If you didn't have good service and you still left a 10 tip, that should be fine, and the person should know. And even if they were good or not, if you left no tip, I get it. Sometimes, like, people will, like, like the.
Josh Leyva
Restaurant was bit, like, I don't know, maybe she had, like, a legitimate excuse why she was.
Sebas
Yeah, no, but for the server to call you out like that, that's. That's.
Josh Leyva
That's insane. And for your friend to be like, oh, you should have just walked away, like, that's. That's, like, debatable. Like, if you feel it in your heart, like, you know what? F this, I'm gonna get my money back. Then go get your money back.
Sebas
Someone calls me out, I don't give a fuck if you're in a uniform. I'm talking to you.
Josh Leyva
Yeah, I will too. Like, yeah, are you getting your money back?
Sebas
And be like, no, I'm not getting my money back. It's clearly somebody needs it more than me.
Josh Leyva
That part.
Sebas
And that's not even like, trying to be, like, arrogant or anything like that. But, like, no, I gave it to you. There you go. But like, for the server to come back and tell me something, that's way you cross the line.
Josh Leyva
Super out of pocket.
Sebas
But, yeah, I feel like nowadays, like, bro, back in the day, like, a tip was. Was given because it was earned. And now tips are or. Or circle. Yeah. Like, demand. It's part of the check.
Josh Leyva
Now, I don't want to be like a Karen, but I think what I would do is first I would probably talk to that person and then be like, I absolutely need to speak to your manager because the way you're, like, treating me as a customer is 100 called for.
Sebas
Yeah.
Josh Leyva
And, like, I didn't do anything wrong.
Sebas
She shouldn't have gotten away with that.
Josh Leyva
No, no. It's crazy. And I get it. People have bad days. I've never worked in the restaurant industry. I was. I did. I worked at pizza, but that wasn't really, like, restaurant. But I understand. It can be tough. Right. Like, there's so many things going on. People have, like, their own they're dealing with. I understand. But at the same time, you also have to understand that the people are expecting an experience.
Sebas
Yeah.
Josh Leyva
You're at work, your server, like, to create an experience for the customer.
Sebas
Yeah.
Josh Leyva
That's what the job is.
Sebas
You're at work.
Josh Leyva
You're at work. So if you didn't deliver, you're gonna. That's what's gonna happen. Yeah. Like, you're not gonna.
Sebas
Yeah. And like you said.
Josh Leyva
And some people, though, dude, some people are bad tippers. Some people just don't tip out 100%. You know what I mean? And even for the people that don't tip, as a. As I would assume that, I think it's, like, not appropriate to, like, call them out on it. Right. I don't know. I don't know. Maybe I'm wrong on that. But, like, even if somebody didn't tip, I would be like, damn, that sucks. You know? But I'm not gonna be like, how dare you not tip me? Because it goes back to. I don't know, I kind of go back in my head about it, but.
Sebas
There'S so many places in the world that they don't tip.
Josh Leyva
I know exactly.
Sebas
When we were in Europe, we're fortunate here in the United States that, like, you get tipped.
Josh Leyva
Yeah. But what I was going to say, you don't get. You don't. You don't tip. But they know that Americans tip, so they, like, implicated it within their system.
Sebas
Yeah.
Josh Leyva
And there was a fight.
Sebas
Me and you would always be fudgeing big tipping, like.
Josh Leyva
Yeah, yeah.
Sebas
Like, oh, my God. Are you serious? Yeah, of course.
Josh Leyva
Yeah.
Sebas
America.
Josh Leyva
I'm American. I'm American.
Sebas
God damn it.
Josh Leyva
You can tell?
Sebas
No, but, yeah, it's just. It's one of those things where it's like, she should have never got called out. And like I said, I was raised in the beginning of. I feel like when I was first getting into the restaurant scene and, like, tipping. You also shouldn't be going out if you're not going to tip. Right here.
Josh Leyva
That's what I was going to say, yeah, because I was going to, I was going to justify the people that, that don't tip. I was going to justify them because I was like, maybe some people are in a financial bind that they can't afford. But I personally was always taught if you can't go out, if you can't tip, when you go out to eat, don't go out to eat. That's the way I was taught. But I don't know, I understand that that's not the same rules for everybody.
Sebas
But also that's fair. If you expect to tip, that person should also expect to have good service.
Josh Leyva
Yeah.
Sebas
You know, that's the whole point why you go to a sit down restaurant is because you will get wind and dined.
Josh Leyva
You know, just going back to that whole concept that I got taught wasn't even like, it was probably like some rant. I don't remember who taught me that, but like it was in my mom because I want to make sure like, like that whole premise of like if you can't afford a tip, don't go out to eat, that, that kind of says a lot about our culture. It's like you're expect going back to what you're saying, like you're expecting to like tip. But I think it just goes back to like, sure, our culture is like tipping, but at the same time we as a customers should be able to determine how much we want to tip.
Sebas
Yeah.
Josh Leyva
And that should be the bottom line.
Sebas
Yeah.
Josh Leyva
You know what I mean?
Sebas
Like bro was at Dodger Stadium yesterday for a beer this big. Now it's like 20 bucks, bro. Cuz you get the souvenir plastic cup. Pretty badass, pretty badass cup. But. So I get two beers, right? And the guy was awesome. Yeah, he just gave me two beers. That's it. That's his job. You know, he checks people out, he gives people food. That's, that's his job. And you know, everything that you do, it says, oh, you fill this out 10, 15, 20%. Yeah, the first one or two, like I'll just put like 15.
Josh Leyva
Yeah.
Sebas
Because you know, I know it goes a long way at the end of the day, but it's crazy because like there's other people that they can probably just afford that 20 beer. So it's like to add that on every single checkout, it's kind of crazy.
Josh Leyva
It is kind of crazy. Yeah.
Sebas
Right?
Josh Leyva
No, I agree, I agree. Trust me. I battle with it too because I, they'll have moments where like I won't, like I've never not tip. Especially as I've been older. Yeah, but like, I remember. Or it'll be an instance. You know what? Let me refrain that I have, like, not not tip. Because I'll be, like, working with the same, like, bartender, and I'll tip and I'll like. Let's say I'm like, just checking out and like, a situation like that for, like, a beer. Maybe for, like, the last one, I just won't. Because I'm like, bro, I already tipped you, like, 20 out of the other ones. So it's like I. But then I feel bad. That's my point. But then I'm like, I just left that guy. No tip for that one beer, even though I've bought.
Sebas
Yeah, but that's okay.
Josh Leyva
That's okay, right?
Sebas
Yeah.
Josh Leyva
Why do we feel guilty?
Sebas
Because you're a nice guy and you're a good tipper. Yeah, I also like to tip. Because I also like to tip in the very beginning before I get anything.
Josh Leyva
Set the tone.
Sebas
Set the tone.
Josh Leyva
Yeah.
Sebas
You know, now more where that came from. Yeah. So, like, I'm American, you know, especially. Especially, like, going to the bar. Yeah, yeah. Like in Europe, you go to the bar. Something like, hey, bro, here's like €100. But I know I'm gonna be there for, like, four hours.
Josh Leyva
Yeah, yeah.
Sebas
I'm like, take care. Here's €100. And then once you get €100 or whatever, €50, they're like, hey, tell us what you need. What you want, what you need, what you need.
Josh Leyva
You know, my time.
Sebas
And now my time is Sal. What you need, puppy? What you need, puppy? Where am I at? Not in Europe.
Josh Leyva
Not in Europe.
Sebas
What you need me, bubby? No, but it's true. You set the tone and, you know, you know, that's kind of a baller move. It's part of the game, though.
Josh Leyva
It's more where that came from.
Sebas
It's more where that came from, buddy.
Josh Leyva
Treat me right.
Sebas
But no, for the young lady, you are not the.
Josh Leyva
I think it was a guy who wrote it, right?
Sebas
Oh, the guy.
Josh Leyva
The.
Sebas
Yeah, the guy. Yeah, the fine j. The gentleman. You are not the. Nah, the waiter at that moment was the. Yeah, all right, well, on that note.
Josh Leyva
What's up, man?
Sebas
I think. I think we're good. I think that that's episode. You guys enjoy the rest of your Monday. I just want to know something. I want you guys. I want to tell you guys something. Like I said over the weekend, I was with my family.
Josh Leyva
What are you eating?
Sebas
Remember the. Got one Real quick. All right. I want to tell you back at home, hang out with your mom or your dad if you got them still. If you got mom, that's fine. If you got only that, that's fine. But kick it with him, because I saw, like, a spark in my mom's eyes, and all they care about. All they care about is if we're good and that we're okay. Like what you were saying. Just call me.
Josh Leyva
Yeah.
Sebas
You know, try to call your parents a little bit more than, you know, than the norm. We all get busy in life. Call your mom, call your dad, even your siblings, bro. You never know. You know that. How much they think they think about you.
Josh Leyva
Yeah.
Sebas
You know, and that goes for me, too.
Josh Leyva
Yeah.
Sebas
So it's. It's. It's tough.
Josh Leyva
It's very little effort for the payout.
Sebas
Yeah, the payout's big.
Josh Leyva
The payout's big. Yeah, the payout's everything.
Sebas
Yeah.
Josh Leyva
So I agree with that, and I love that, and I'm really glad that we talked about that, because that was also, like, good for me to, like, kind of just remind myself, you know.
Sebas
Yeah.
Josh Leyva
These kind of conversations.
Sebas
There was a couple celebrities who just passed away recently. Recently.
Josh Leyva
Hulk Hogan.
Sebas
Hulk Hogan passed away.
Josh Leyva
Which is that one. That one kind of shocked me, cuz, like, I know he went through some kind of scandal, too. I. I didn't. I kind of forgot about it.
Sebas
I. I don't even know. Am I the biggest fan? No, but what I'm trying to say.
Josh Leyva
Ozzy Osborne.
Sebas
Ozzy Osbourne died, but these people, they.
Josh Leyva
Died, like, at 65. Were they. No, I think they were in their 70s.
Sebas
No, the. Hulk Hogan was, like, 65. I think 71.
Josh Leyva
71.
Sebas
Yeah.
Josh Leyva
They're in 70s.
Sebas
Oh, well, somebody was at 65. And. And. And it, like, kind of like, took me back, even for myself. I'm like, like, bro, my parents aren't even that far from. I'm not saying they're gonna pass away at 65, but you're like, a lot of people pass away at 65. Almost 70. That's not that long. So I'm like, bro, you. We. We got. We gotta be better at just having a better heart, and. Which we do, but just really making the. The. The point to be with our loved ones way more.
Josh Leyva
Love that, bro.
Sebas
Yeah, Love that. So, please, if that. If I can. That's the thing that I took from last week, seeing how happy my mom was. My dad, too. My dad just retired as well, so it's.
