Sebas
Get jolly Cuz I'm on a podcast with Josh labor.
Josh Leyva
Yeah, you have too, ladies and gentlemen. Why? Let me just tell you 89 so fine. Matt, put that in. When I said 89 so fine. Put that in. Do the opposite of cut it out Put it in pause. Is that cool? I, I, I'm on a, I'm on a. I have a. I have a plan for today.
Sebas
Are we filming? Oh, cool.
Josh Leyva
We're rolling, baby.
Sebas
You know what? I don't feel wired up.
Josh Leyva
Then you better get wired up.
Jessica
Take a shot.
Josh Leyva
Take a shot. Oh, my God, dude. We haven't done that in a minute.
Sebas
I don't know if I can.
Josh Leyva
I'll throw up for one shot.
Sebas
My body's not accustomed to things like that that aren't accorded to add that aren't affiliated with athletes.
Josh Leyva
Oh, are you. What, like, mode? Are you in, like, where, where, where are you at in, like, in this season of life? Like, are you locked in? Are you kind of in this gray area?
Sebas
I consider myself an ultra hybrid athlete.
Josh Leyva
Anyways, welcome back to the.
Sebas
What were you going to say right now?
Josh Leyva
Oh, I, I think it's funny that sometimes in the comments, like, people think that, like, like, I'm being a little mean to you, and it just makes me.
Sebas
You are.
Josh Leyva
I know. They, they fair. They fail to realize that it's intentional. And it doesn't matter if we have a guest or not. I'm going to treat you like shit.
Sebas
And what they don't know either is I like it.
Josh Leyva
No, dumb dude. What they don't know is that you are mean to me in real life.
Sebas
This is real life. This ain't no play play like D. Josh Leva say.
Josh Leyva
Exactly. But you, like, show your true Gemini in real life and other aspects. Like, you're this, like, you know, super sweet guy on the podcast. Lovable, approachable.
Sebas
I don't know.
Josh Leyva
But in real life, you're mean. You're meaningful.
Sebas
I'm not mean. I'm just as mean as you.
Josh Leyva
Yeah.
Sebas
And what people don't realize is that we're even meaner in person to each other.
Josh Leyva
Literally just said that, dude. Literally just said that. You know what your red flag is? That you're a terrible listener.
Sebas
No, I'm not.
Josh Leyva
Yeah, you are.
Sebas
No, I'm not.
Josh Leyva
Yeah, you are.
Sebas
You what? You. You know what your terrible red flag is?
Josh Leyva
What is it?
Sebas
Is that the, that you say, I don't even care about, therefore I just say it again.
Josh Leyva
So you don't listen, but you secretly do listen in order to say it again. And in your terms, you would say it better. Wow.
Sebas
Can we point out the elephant in the room?
Josh Leyva
How do you eat an elephant?
Sebas
How do I eat an elephant?
Josh Leyva
Yeah.
Sebas
Is this your little Pinterest jokes?
Josh Leyva
No, no. This is a. My thing. My mom used to always say to.
Sebas
Me, how do you eat an elephant?
Josh Leyva
Do you guys know?
Sebas
I think, how do you eat an elephant? How do you eat an elephant?
Josh Leyva
What's your guess? My mom would always say this, like, when I would be overwhelmed, and she would say me, how do you eat an elephant?
Sebas
Well, you can't.
Josh Leyva
Okay. Wrong.
Jessica
One bite at a time, Matt.
Sebas
I was gonna say you don't.
Josh Leyva
Yeah, it's one piece at a time. When something is so big, like, it's so massive, like you, like, you're overwhelmed by it. Just remember it's one piece at a time. So she would always say that to me.
Sebas
It's great. I love that your mom used to say that.
Josh Leyva
Yeah.
Sebas
That's nothing to do with your mom right now, but.
Josh Leyva
Yeah, you better watch your buddy.
Sebas
No, I know. That's what I'm saying. Like, that's my mom, too. I have nothing. I. I like that she quoted you as a. As a young little girl. Yeah, but what does that have to do with anything right now?
Josh Leyva
Huh? You brought up the elephant in the room. Well, we're going to eat it.
Sebas
Oh, that's where you're coming.
Josh Leyva
You're lying right now. You're lying right now. You are lying to me.
Sebas
That's where we're getting at.
Josh Leyva
So whenever you're feeling overwhelmed in life and you feel like it's too big of a task.
Sebas
Yeah, I love that. I love that.
Josh Leyva
And you're looking at it like, how am I going to get through this? One piece at a time, baby.
Sebas
One piece at a time.
Josh Leyva
One piece at a time.
Sebas
Even though I wouldn't like to eat an elephant, they would seem really hard.
Josh Leyva
You know what I mean? Like, I'm you. Yeah, I kind of agree with that.
Sebas
I think that's the one animal that people just don't eat. Elephant.
Josh Leyva
But it's like one of the biggest animals, too. You know what I mean? That's the whole point. It's. It's a big task. Yeah.
Sebas
But those animals always somewhat die of natural causes, just like just being older.
Josh Leyva
Yeah.
Sebas
And they fall and people can eat them.
Josh Leyva
Did. Did you ever hear about that, like, with elephants, how, like, when you go to, like, a circus, that there's just like a little piece of, like, wood that's holding them or just like a little nail that's attached to, like, this like, big old elephant? Because they get so trained that when they're like, little, like, they can barely. They're all. They're strapped onto something tighter. But as they get older, they know, like, they can't pull. So it gets to the point that they're so trained that even, like, a little nail will hold them down, dude.
Jessica
Oh.
Sebas
Like, they just need to feel, like, a little stable.
Josh Leyva
Yeah, take a deep breath, bro. Please, for the love of God, take a deep breath. You need it. Can you do our intro or do you need.
Sebas
Yeah, yeah, yeah, we should. I'm not locked in right now.
Josh Leyva
You're not locked in, bro. Look, it's Monday morning, okay? People are working out right now. People are starting their job. People are doing their makeup, okay? And you are. Look at you, dude. Ungrateful to be alive on this beautiful Monday. To start the week, this is La Platica, bro. Number one Latino podcast in the world. That's according to Google, bro.
Sebas
Okay?
Josh Leyva
We got the freshest merch in the game, bro.
Sebas
I know, I know.
Josh Leyva
And you over here looking like a pansy.
Sebas
You know? You know what it is? I feel like the last three episode. Episodes, I've been giving it my all, and right now I'm like, damn, I have no more energy.
Josh Leyva
Damn.
Sebas
I'm almost like I'm being vulnerable right now. I'm acting like a real human being. People sometimes look at me and they're like, damn, this was like a superhero.
Josh Leyva
Okay? Give me something deep right now. Be as vulnerable. Like, what are you truly feeling? Like, open up the floodgates.
Sebas
But, like, outside of this, sometimes I have a real life, okay, with real problems, real bills, real bills, real tragedies, real things that happen in my life where I. Right now, it's okay if I'm not who I am last week because I'm vulnerable.
Josh Leyva
Say vulnerable.
Sebas
Vulnerable.
Josh Leyva
I knew it.
Sebas
I'm vulnerable and I'm vulnerable.
Josh Leyva
Vulnerable is pretty crazy.
Sebas

Sebas
I hope so.
Josh Leyva
I think so.
Sebas
I hope so.
Josh Leyva
I think so.
Sebas
No, they're gonna be much more. They. They're gonna be playing more games than that because this. It's barely Tuesday right now, and that's.
Josh Leyva
On Vulnerable straight up.
Sebas
I also want to mention to follow Sasson Studios on YouTube and Instagram. Sasson Studios. We throw out original content and you can follow other podcasts under Sasson Studios as well. We're amazing. We got the IEM Besties. We got and Dona Silvia.

Josh Leyva
I'm not fully following right now, if I'm being honest.
Sebas
Okay, so I'll stop. As you can see, we are wearing some. Some of the new La Platica merch that's coming out this spring.
Josh Leyva
Is it going to be spring? Yeah, it's spring, right?
Sebas
Just.
Josh Leyva
Are we in spring right now?
Jessica
Yes.
Sebas
This is the La Platica new spring collection.
Josh Leyva
And this one goes crazy.
Sebas
This one go crazy stupid, bro. As you can see, Matt, you can zoom in because we do shoot in 4K.
Josh Leyva
Zoom in, Matt.
Sebas
We got the Platica Mickey Mouse hat. We also have the Platica look. As you can see, it says platica. And in the middle you got El Mickey going like this. Cuz that's the T. T, T. That's.
Josh Leyva
The T right there.
Sebas
That's the T right there.
Josh Leyva
That's the T right there.
Sebas
So you're gonna get a crew neck.
Josh Leyva
Yeah.
Sebas
You can purchase the hat.
Josh Leyva
Yeah.
Sebas
Guys, we're so, so, so proud of these. Normally when we get merch and we make it and we all put our thinking caps on and what can be the next launch and you know, you guys always know it's been a running joke with Josh and myself about where's the merch at Sevas. You're a loser. Sevas. You keep saying that you're gonna do merch. Well, now we're doing it, man. And we're doing it every week.
Josh Leyva
Dude, you're a loser. Just you in the mirror.
Sebas
Yeah. That was a genuine V Josh Leyva laugh. And I love when he genuinely laughs because most of the time he's just not true, bro.
Josh Leyva
No, honestly, bro, I'm super excited about these.
Sebas
We are super excited.
Josh Leyva
Yeah. I wasn't in the meeting when these hats were being like, presented. And I remember you sent me the text of the hat and I couldn't believe that these were our hats. These. I was like, dude, these are one of the cool and the style of hat that this is. I'm not just saying this. This is my favorite style of hat on the face of the earth. Yeah, this is My favorite style of hat and these crew necks that complement the shirt. It's not. This is not, like, cheesy. This, like, this is a fit right here. This is a fit that lends itself perfectly. Like, we're just doing it for you. You don't. All you got to do is. It's like. You know when people, like when they're nurses, they wear, like, scrubs and they just put it on, they're going to think about it. This is a la platica uniform. You got to think about it. You know what I'm saying? You just got to show up and be great.
Sebas
Yeah.
Josh Leyva
And you're going to look great, dude.
Sebas
I'm so glad that you like it, man.
Josh Leyva
I love it, man.
Sebas
You're not somebody that's too easily to plead.
Josh Leyva
I'm a hard pleaser.
Sebas
You are.
Josh Leyva
And that's on Vulnerable. Yeah.
Sebas
I know that you guys are gonna like it. And I'm telling you, the crew neck, the quality, it's fire.
Josh Leyva
Yeah.
Sebas
It's gonna cost 200 bucks an item.
Josh Leyva
Who cares? It's not.
Sebas
It's not. But this right here, just this right here is sick. And we wanted to master it because these are our favorites, but we also have other favorites. And there's other stuff that's coming out. The Monday Zone suck shirt that's coming back.
Josh Leyva
Yeah, that's what you call it. Evergreen item.
Sebas
An evergreen item. Josh taught me what an evergreen item was the other day, and I said, still doesn't make sense to me, but fine. Right. And that's on Vulnerable, the next item that we're going to release to what? That's an evergreen item. And you guys are. Have been asking about it since the day we've been making it and we've been selling it. And that's the old little Disney shirt that we came out with.
Josh Leyva
Oh, the original one.
Sebas
The La Platika Valentine's Day tea. You know, at first, we wanted to release it only on Valentine's Day, right before Valentine's Day, but it's been such a hitter, and why not just have it on deck?
Josh Leyva
The thing is, it's the perfect Disney shirt.
Sebas
Not only that, it's just a great shirt to rock for sure.
Josh Leyva
But Disney is 24 7, 365.
Sebas
Yes.
Josh Leyva
And we want to make that shirt available for people to rock. Like, dude. And nothing makes me more happy when we get tagged, when people are rocking that shirt at Disney.
Sebas
Yes.
Josh Leyva
You know what I mean?
Sebas
And there's so many people, like, sure. Maybe like all of our audience that watches this may be copped, but that shirt is like a type of shirt that the whole world needs to wear. Yeah, right?
Josh Leyva
Yeah.
Sebas
God. So. And guess what else is coming back as an evergreen shirt. Wow.
Josh Leyva
This one's a big deal. This one's probably the biggest deal of them all.
Sebas
If you go on camera four and you go on the right side of camera four, there's a big ass trompo. The 1-800-LA-LATICA TAQUERIA shirt.
Josh Leyva
Wow.
Sebas
Is back.
Josh Leyva
Wow. This was before your time, before I was even born.
Sebas
This was also Josh's idea to bring it back.
Josh Leyva
Yeah. Because I just know how much that shirt is loved, man. And I know how much people like fuck with that shirt.
Sebas
And now it's coming back. It's, it's, it's going to be epic. For those people who are new to the channel when that shirt didn't release. It's coming back.
Josh Leyva
Yeah. That shit is fire.
Sebas
And we're super pumped. So those three shirts are coming back. They're going to be on Zone Studios la, ready to go.
Josh Leyva
And they're everywhere.
Sebas
And we got more. God, I feel like we're doing like a show and tell right now, baby.
Josh Leyva
Come on, man.
Sebas
I got a box right next to me right now. Sure, it's a little arugadito.
Josh Leyva
We're going to show it, but we're.
Sebas
Going to show the new stuff that's coming out as well with this, with the. This, this.
Josh Leyva
I love it.
Sebas
Right? So can I reach into the box?
Josh Leyva
Reach in. Out of the box.
Sebas
One. One thing that we're trying to get better. Box better. One thing that we're trying to get better at is realizing that most of the people who watch are Girly Pops. So we are coming out with baby crop tees. I think that's what the Girly Pops column. So we are coming out with baby tea. I love Platica shirts. You can wear these to go to sleep. You can wear these out to go to the mall, the movies, to dinner, to brunch. You can also take these to Disneyland if you'd like. Vacation, airport swag. I mean, the possibilities are endless.
Josh Leyva
Very much endless.
Sebas
I love this. And Josh is gonna wear this for one of the photo shoots.
Josh Leyva
I'll do it.
Sebas
I swear there will be belly button showed, so we might have to censor that, but other than that, we do have a baby tee coming out the I love Platica. I am so excited for this and I know you guys are too.
Josh Leyva
That was fire, bro. That was super fire, bro.
Sebas
And for those Wondering. Gosh, you know, I love the crew neck. I love the hat, the Platica hat. And I just wish it was on a baby tea. Well, it is the Platica baby tea. I don't. This is so new to us. I don't even have a name for this shirt yet. But we will have a name for it. But we came out with a baby tee. Look at how cute that is.
Josh Leyva
That's adorable.
Sebas
Everybody should have this in their arsenal.
Josh Leyva
We. We need to come up with just a shirt of it, too, for, like, an oversized shirt.
Sebas
Look at that.
Josh Leyva
That's fire, bro.
Sebas
It's so cute.
Josh Leyva
I feel like we're starting to figure out, like, the direction of our con. Of our merch. You know what I mean?
Sebas
Like you said, where's the merch at? Where's them? I'm gonna give you what you always wanted.
Josh Leyva
Well, hurry up.
Sebas
I love La Platica heavyweight hoodie.
Josh Leyva
And that hoodie is heavy. Heavy. This was obviously inspired by the I love ny, but we know something that's better than ny, and that's lp, so palabra. That's what it is, baby.
Sebas
So I love that. And we have one more. One. One more one. We have one more item, right?
Josh Leyva
Let's see it.
Sebas
Me and Josh never went to college, but you fake it till you make it, right?
Josh Leyva
That's true, baby.
Sebas
So we went recently, Blahika University to Blatica University.
Josh Leyva
It is. Graduated first of our class.
Sebas
I mean, Quechu Lada. Quechu Lada, Right.
Josh Leyva
I'm not gonna lie, bro. That crew is insanely fire.
Sebas
Great quality. It's a heather gray terry cloth.
Josh Leyva
Yeah.
Sebas
I mean, this stuff is quality. It's really, really nice, Josh. Do you like it?
Josh Leyva
No, I love it. I love it.
Sebas
It's. It's perfect. So all of that is coming out.
Josh Leyva
I'm an alumni, baby.
Sebas
If you guys would like, it'd be available at SassonStudios LA April 21st.
Josh Leyva
Listen, bro, I didn't go to the university, okay? I didn't study with the scholars, okay? But something I did do, something I did do very well. I went to La Platica University. And guess what? I graduated first in my class, okay? I was a valedictorian, okay? And that's unbenerable. I gave the speech.
Sebas
Do you think people back at home laugh with us?
Josh Leyva
Definitely not.
Sebas
Are we the only ones laughing?
Josh Leyva
100%. 100.
Sebas
Yeah. No, I. I'm really proud of this drop, guys.
Josh Leyva
Yeah.
Sebas
Josh and myself, we work really hard on it.
Josh Leyva
I feel like I said this on our first drop. This is your favorite job. And. And this is probably the best drop we've had.
Sebas
I think this is the biggest drop we've had.
Josh Leyva
Yeah.
Sebas
Because we're coming out with the three shirts that. That have came out prior, and we have the new stuff coming out. I'm really excited for the baby tees, bro.
Josh Leyva
It's one thing to make merch, right? Like, people make merch, but it's another thing to make fire merch Merch that's, like, just super cool, super awesome, and just super swaggy.
Sebas
Excuse me.
Josh Leyva
Right now, dude. Literally, right now, it's okay if I can get up. Do you know how conversations work? Like, do you understand the logistics of conversations? I feel like you need to take, like, you need to go to, like, a university to take a conversation class, bro.
Sebas
This is logistics. Sounds like pasta, bro.
Josh Leyva
I hate to break it to you. I hate to break it to you. And I know this is going to be news. News. You're gonna be mean to me right now.
Sebas
Like, you always.
Josh Leyva
I don't know if you realize this, but conversations consist of two or more people, okay? You can't just have a conversation with yourself. You understand?
Sebas
You can if you wanted to.
Josh Leyva
You can, right? You can. You do.
Sebas
I want to go put the merch.
Josh Leyva
Away, but this is what you do. One second. Josh, we're going to continue this conversation. I'm just going to go slide the box over real quick. You know, that's fine.
Sebas
If I thought I needed your permission.
Josh Leyva
It's not about permission. It's called manners, okay?
Sebas
Oh, and you have so many of them.
Josh Leyva
All of them.
Sebas
You need to wipe your ass before you poop.
Josh Leyva
Not a manner. That's a hygiene thing. Before you poop. Before you poo.
Sebas
Did I say before?
Josh Leyva
You said before, after. Thanks for clarifying.
Sebas
Josh, we're coming out with merch, man. I'm trying to make you proud, bro.
Josh Leyva
I'm proud, man. I'm proud.
Sebas
Remember before, you're like, where's the merch?
Josh Leyva
I know.
Sebas
This is our loser.
Josh Leyva
Is this our third drop or second drop?
Sebas
Came out with the first one, then we came out with. Obviously, Right. Then we came out with the Valentine's Day.
Josh Leyva
Oh, okay.
Sebas
And then we came out with Sasson. Oh, Sasson is still available.
Josh Leyva
Merch. Yeah. And now Platiga merch.
Sebas
And now spring.
Josh Leyva
So this is like our 3.5 drop.
Sebas
Yeah.
Josh Leyva
Yeah.
Sebas
Well, technically, fourth drop.
Josh Leyva
Yeah, I'll count it. Yeah, I'll count it.
Sebas
And that's on. Vulnerable.
Josh Leyva
Bonerable.
Sebas
Yeah, man. So I'M really proud of this drop. I know everybody's gonna like it. I hope you guys really like it. I'm telling you, the designs are obviously, like, really cool, but not only that, like, you're going to get what you paid for. The hats, the qualities, the. The. The. The. The. The crew necks, the hoodies, and all that stuff. And there's more to come, too. We're trying to, like, figure out, like, more things to do, not just clothing, you know.
Josh Leyva
Would you say the majority of our audience is women? Right?
Sebas
Beautiful women.
Josh Leyva
Most beautiful women on the planet. Honestly, if you ask me, who are the most beautiful women on the planet? They're going to be like, oh, like Mexicans, Colombians, Brazilians.
Sebas
People who watch La Platica, people who.
Josh Leyva
Listen to watch Laplatica. The most beautiful woman in the world. That being said, do you feel like the Girly pops are gonna. With the hats? Because I love this hat, and I want to see the girly pops wearing the hats, man. And I know that maybe hats are more geared towards men, maybe. Right. And maybe we're just more excited about it because we're men. But I hope that the girly Pops.
Sebas
Me, too.
Josh Leyva
Are excited about it.
Sebas
Me, too. That's why we came out with the Pinstripe. You know, we had so much.
Josh Leyva
It's kind of retro.
Sebas
We had so much success on the. Yeah, exactly. That's the whole vibe. We had so much success with the Valentine's Day job, and everybody was going to the amusement park and, you know, rocking it, and I was like, okay, well, how can we make that a little better? But now I feel like, this is just so nice, man. It's really cool. I'm really proud of it. I don't really. I don't really talk highly about myself like that. Normally. Yeah, but I'm really proud of myself.
Josh Leyva
No, this one's.
Sebas
I'm really proud of us, Josh.
Josh Leyva
This one's a oh, boy kind of drop.
Sebas
We went from two.
Josh Leyva
Oh, boy.
Sebas
Can you do a good. A really good Mickey Mouse impression? Let me see.
Josh Leyva
I need to hear it. And then.
Sebas
Give us a sentence, Jess. Give us a sentence.
Josh Leyva
All right.
Sebas
I don't want to, like, go off the rip on a sentence. You're just like, I don't know. Just ask Google. Google, give me a random ass sentence.
Josh Leyva
A random. Any kind of sentence.
Sebas
Any kind of sentence.
Josh Leyva
Just a sentence.
Sebas
A sentence with nouns, adjectives, and periods and vulnerables. Okay, this is good. This is good. So you're gonna say, gee whiz, folks.
Josh Leyva
Okay.
Sebas
Geez. Gee. Whiz folks. Let's have some fun and make today magical. Say that in your best Mickey Mouse impression.
Josh Leyva
All right, here we go. G Whiz folks. Let's make some fun and make today magical.
Sebas
Oh, my God.
Josh Leyva
That was kind of good.
Sebas
Oh, my God.
Josh Leyva
The G Wiz I hit the G Wiz. I hit nasty, bro. The G Wiz. I hit so nasty that I kind of, like, tripped me out for a second that it threw up the rest of the sentence. If I mean.
Sebas
Oh, my God. That was so much better than I thought.
Josh Leyva
Yo, with the merch, who.
Sebas
What can't you do?
Josh Leyva
Not a lot. Not a lot. Not a lot. Your turn.
Sebas
Wow. Pressure's on. I've been to a couple Dodger games recently, so my voice is not where it should be, J Wiz, folks.
Josh Leyva
So let's have some fun and make today Gee whiz. Gee whiz, folks. Let's have some fun and make today magical.
Sebas
You see, I'm not there. You hear it, right? You hear it?
Josh Leyva
You're not there. You're not there. Loosen up a little bit, bro. Loosen up. Loosen up. J Wiz, folks, have some.
Sebas
I can't. Yeah. My voice. You can hear it in my voice. I can hear it. It's done. It's super cracky.
Josh Leyva
It's like you're going through puberty again.
Sebas
Ah, man. I'm so bummed out. I couldn't nail it. Let's give Josh one more sentence, all right? It's gonna say jolly. I'm so golly. Golly. I'm so glad I got friends like Minnie, Goofy, and Donald to get together. We can do anything.
Josh Leyva
Now I feel the pressure, too.
Sebas
Nah, you're good, dude. You're good.
Josh Leyva
Gold Lee. I'm so glad I've got friends like Minnie, Goofy, and Donald. Together. We can do anything. That was a little goofy.
Sebas
Oh, my God, bro.
Josh Leyva
Some words I'm nailing. Some words I'm nailing.
Sebas
All right, now let's do one where it's kind of like we're trying to ask our girl to, like, let's make love type of thing. You know what I mean? Like, some, like, punchlines to, like, get dirty.
Josh Leyva
Like a pickup line.
Sebas
Like a pickup line.
Josh Leyva
To get freaky.
Sebas
To get freaky. So Josh can do that because this is cool. But, like, we've probably heard Mickey say this.
Josh Leyva
Let's spice it up.
Sebas
I want Mickey a little. A little X rated, baby.
Josh Leyva
This is. This is rated G. Is it G? What's the lowest rating? G. G. Okay. No, E. E and Then it's G for everyone. Oh, okay. And then it's G. And then it's PG. And PG.
Sebas
PG 13. I want it. Not only R, I want it X. X rated. No, let's do R. We're a family channel. There's kids watching.
Josh Leyva

Josh Leyva
What about you? The. You must be line three. I'm looking on line three.
Sebas
All right, do that.
Josh Leyva
Okay. What's a. What's a Mickey line? Like an opening. Like the. Golly. What's a. Oh, boy. Oh, boy. Okay, cool, huh?
Sebas
Oh, yeah. Hiya, pal.
Josh Leyva
That's good. Hiya, pal. You must be tired. That was a little country. Hold on. Because you've been running through my mind and into my dreams all night long. Damn, bro, that was not good.
Sebas
No, I kid you not. That first one you did. God damn, bro. I thought we hired Mickey, bro.
Josh Leyva
I'm gonna take Mickey out of a job. Damn, my aunt. The merch is fire. We got the hottest merch in the game, bro.
Sebas
Yeah, yeah. I gotta say that, man. I do have to say that. Because we look out for. You know, I like. I like merch, but one thing that I really like, I like this Kind of stuff. This is fun. Everybody likes it.
Josh Leyva
Yeah.
Sebas
And just know before we go on break right now, because we just been talking about 30 minutes about the merch and stuff like that. We really put our, like, thoughts into this and we really think about you guys, like most of the girly paws back at home and what you guys would like. And we kind of cater all of this to you guys and obviously kind of us too, because we want to show you who we are, you know, as well.
Josh Leyva
With you in mind.
Sebas
With you in mind. I like that. Yeah, I like that.
Josh Leyva
From us for you.
Sebas
Exactly. From us for you.
Josh Leyva
That's fire right there. Spy right there.
Sebas
Let's go on a short little break.
Josh Leyva
Come on, baby.
Sebas
I got some things to talk about as well. Feeling a little better since I had that energy focus. There you go. I think I'm getting back into the game right now.
Josh Leyva
That's the LPN for you.
Sebas
Is that the LTANI?
Josh Leyva
That's that 200 milligrams of caffeine. Yeah.
Sebas
10 off using code.
Josh Leyva
That's a vitamin and B12 for you. Come on, baby. It's going to break, man. I'm going to get one. One now, too. And a shot.
Sebas
I think I'm going to do another one, see what happens.
Josh Leyva
I've done it before. Things get nasty. And that's on bonerable.
Sebas
Make sure you put the camera on that.
Josh Leyva
I bet you the camera gor baby.
Sebas
You be pushing on my buttons, babe Pushing on my buttons, babe Am I sexy?
Josh Leyva
No. Pushing on my buttons, baby Pushing on.
Jessica
My buttons Sing it like Mickey.
Josh Leyva
It's kind of Michael Jackson.
Sebas
All right.
Josh Leyva
I'm wired up Locked in, baby locked in D I'm wired up look at the drip Drippy drippy been man, I.
Sebas
Ain'T going to lie. I'm comfy.
Josh Leyva
Let's talk about the seat ad that we did last week.
Sebas
What you want to talk about? Oh, that I up.
Josh Leyva
Yeah, that you up, dude. Bad. Some of the comments have, though. You want. You want to explain to people what happened for those of you who. For those.
Sebas
Yeah. So, as you guys know, this podcast is powered by se. It's one of our. The main sponsor of La Platica, which I'm so grateful for. It's. It's such an honor. Such an honor of how far we've come. Am I boring you, Doug?
Josh Leyva
No, I'm just tired, bro.
Sebas
You're just rude.
Josh Leyva
I'm just tired. I'm sick and tired of your man.
Sebas
Where did the. Word. Where did the. The. Where did that dis. Come from? Like, who was the first guy that said you?
Josh Leyva
I feel like that is the most, like, obvious bad thing to say.
Sebas
Like, why? An.
Josh Leyva
Because it's, like, the most obvious thing to say. It's like, the easiest thing to come up with. That's the most, like, disgusting part of a human. You know what I mean? So it's like. I. I don't think that one was.
Sebas
That it's not top three most disgusting.
Josh Leyva
What is more, what would you rather be?
Sebas
An.
Josh Leyva
Okay.
Sebas
Which we all have. Let's not act like no one has one.
Josh Leyva
But mine's pretty.
Sebas
Yeah, you get it bleached, right? People who go to Barry's.
Josh Leyva
Okay. Or.
Sebas
Or would you rather be a piece of. Because it's. It's the same thing. You. Piece of. Or you.
Josh Leyva
Is there another option?
Sebas
Yeah. No. I mean, no. Not that I can think of at the moment. I'm not too.
Josh Leyva
I think I'd rather be, like, which one's less of the worst? Which one's.
Sebas
What would you. Yeah, well, because. Which one would you rather be?
Josh Leyva
I'd rather be an.
Sebas
Right.
Josh Leyva
Yeah.
Sebas
Piece of shit's kind of bad.
Josh Leyva
Piece of. It's also like.
Sebas
Like, you're just a bro.
Josh Leyva
Yeah.
Sebas
You're just a turd.
Josh Leyva
You ain't. Is even crazier if you think about that. Like, you're not even a piece of.
Sebas
Oh, my God. Yeah. Yeah, you're right, because you're an.
Josh Leyva
Yeah, like, that's what you are, you piece of. Right?
Sebas
Or you ain't.
Josh Leyva
You ain't.
Sebas
I'd rather just be an an.
Josh Leyva
That's how you end a sentence right there when you're, like, fighting with someone. Like, you know what, man? You ain't.
Sebas
Yeah, you know what? You ain't, bro, man. And that's saying walk out. Yeah, I think I'd rather just be an.
Josh Leyva
Yeah.
Sebas
Anyway, so. So we were doing a Seeky Cat, like we do every episode, and I've been so excited that Alejandro Fernandez is going to be.
Josh Leyva
But it's not what you said.
Sebas
But it's not what I said.
Josh Leyva
That's not what you said.
Sebas
How I didn't catch that. I said Vicente. And honestly, I'm kind of mad at all y'all because you guys didn't even catch me saying it. You guys. Oh, yeah, Just put it up. No. Yeah, Vicente Fernandez.
Josh Leyva
Yeah, put him up, bro. We were doing like, the whole, like, Sebas method where we just, like, don't pay attention to other people around us. You know what I mean?
Sebas
Oh, you think that's who I am? Yep. Really?
Josh Leyva
Yep.
Sebas
One day when I'm not on this earth, you're going to understand why I am who I am and why I think the way I think when I leave my mark on this earth, you be like that guy Sevas.
Josh Leyva
Your stained mark on this earth.
Sebas
That guy Sevas. He ain't no that guy Sevas, man. That, that, that fool thought differently, bro.
Josh Leyva
I feel like these are conversations you literally have in the mirror.
Sebas
First of all, I don't like that he's so comfortable right now. It's almost like I don't care about today.
Josh Leyva
It's giving that dude I care. I care. I, I care.
Sebas
You're doing the absolute minimum right now to be on this podcast, which is a lot. But you know what? You're such a good co host and honestly, I'm so grateful to have you. I'ma let it slide and it's deserving for you. And I don't blame him because he is wearing the most comfortable set on planet Earth right now.
Josh Leyva
When you're wearing the most cozy is merch on the planet, you get, you get the cozy vibes, bro. You just get in the cozy mode.
Sebas
It would be so funny if you just do it for the pod. Please. Like, do it for the fans. If you just find a way to gain direction right now.
Josh Leyva
A boner. Yeah, unbonerable.
Sebas
Just, it's like you chilling and just like a teepee, you know?
Josh Leyva
I worry about you sometimes, man. I really do.
Sebas
One day when I'm not here and I leave my skid mark, you're gonna realize the things that I say is like, that's why he said it the time.
Josh Leyva
He really was hoping that.
Sebas
Hey, that guy sells. How is that guy, man? You know what? He's different, bro. That guy thinks differently.
Josh Leyva
Yo, my favorite are like, I don't know if they're innuendos, but when people.
Sebas
Say, what the did you say?
Josh Leyva
Like innuendos? Like, they'll be like, yo, who the is that? Like Andy, Wendy, Windows.
Sebas
I've never heard of that.
Josh Leyva
So it's like.
Sebas
And I'm sure everybody back at home has never heard of that.
Josh Leyva
Yeah, like, for example, it's like you're saying something, I guess in the, in like a sexual way, but you're saying it like kind of secretively. It's not full so blatantly so it's not like, oh, I wanna, I wanna hook up with you. Right? Like that's straight up. It would be like. It would be like we, we should. Like, we should, we should like Lay down. It's kind of like an innuendo. You know what I'm saying?
Sebas
How do you say it again?
Josh Leyva
Innuendo.
Sebas
And you. Yeah, and you. Window.
Josh Leyva
So. So, like, one of them. Like, I don't know.
Sebas
That's why you're a good coach.
Josh Leyva
I don't know if this is considered me stuff, an innuendo, but when people say. Have you ever heard of, like, somebody say, like, he was pitching a tent?
Sebas
Yeah, I have heard of that.
Josh Leyva
What does that mean?
Sebas
Like, he was giving me kind of like a hint.
Josh Leyva
Do you get it, Matt? Pitching a tent is when a guy gets a boner under the bed sheets. So he's pitching a tent.
Sebas
Got it.
Josh Leyva
I don't know if that's considered an innuendo. Can we look at what exactly? Huh? That's what she said. No, no, no, no. I can't think of an example. Maybe just you can put it on chat. Gbt. Like, innuendo example. I tried and it didn't come up. Maybe we don't know how to spell innuendo.
Jessica
I do know how to spell anyone.
Josh Leyva
It's in I n. Yeah. And then window. In your window.
Jessica
He sure knows how to handle his equipment.
Josh Leyva
There you go. That's an innuendo. That's perfect. Wow, Chad GT Smart. Huh? Huh? Yeah, it is.
Sebas
So, yeah, it is kind of like a that's what she said type of thing.
Jessica
That's a big one. You must be very proud, right?
Josh Leyva
Yeah. Yeah.
Sebas
Oh, okay. Yeah, I like that. I do those all the time. I just never knew that I was doing innuendos.
Josh Leyva
Yeah. Yeah. So it's like, I can't wait to.
Sebas
See what you can do with that.
Josh Leyva
Yeah. A lot of it. It's not what you say is how you say.
Sebas
Yeah.
Josh Leyva
Yeah. You know?
Sebas
Yeah. Wow. No, honestly, like, you're such a good. Cause I literally learn stuff from you all the time.
Josh Leyva
You knew what an innuendo was. You didn't know that's what it was called?
Sebas
Yes.
Josh Leyva
Yeah. So it's you. Because you knew. Actually, you're the exact opposite of innuendo. You're, like, very direct. Like, you. You just kind of shoot it. You won't say, like, a little, like, subtle way. You know, you're, like, not creative.
Sebas
I am actually very creative because when I leave my skid mark on this earth, you can be like, damn, he's, like, creative, but, like, in his own way, stupid way. So I said, Vicente Fernandez.
Josh Leyva
Yes.
Sebas
Like, I got tickets to be sent for that. First thing that I thought was like, oh, My God, I felt bad saying that.
Josh Leyva
Like, when you saw the comments.
Sebas
When I saw the comments, I'm like, what. What are people talking about? Like, oh, my God, I can't believe Jessica sent me up.
Josh Leyva
Straight up. Sets you up.
Sebas
Yeah. Because normally Jessica would, like, watch the podcast and say, hey, take this off, or nothing like that, but she didn't care.
Josh Leyva
Nobody caught it. No. Not even.
Sebas
Or they did set me up.
Josh Leyva
Yeah. Matt, Jess was like. She probably saw it. She was like, just let it ride.
Sebas
You know what's crazy?
Josh Leyva
I.
Sebas
You know, I. I. I'm pretty good about that stuff, but I just didn't. I didn't even think.
Josh Leyva
Yeah.
Sebas
And so I apologize for saying that, but I felt bad, so, like, rest in peace, dude.
Josh Leyva
You. That was like. You don't have to apologize. That was an accident.
Sebas
Well, out of. Out of. Out of Vicente Finance's legacy. You know what I mean? Okay, I like that, but the comments were hilarious. They were like, I love seeking, but damn, I didn't know they can resurrect the dead like that. I was like, but it was kind of cool because, like, even my wife, she was like, people are tagging me, and they're telling me that you said Vicente Fernandez on the Valley. And I know people are like, hella talking, like, talking about it right now. That's, like, all the comments. You know, sometimes when something like that happens, I like it, but then I don't like it because then I'm like, are people even watching the episode? Like, did I just ruin the episode because I said something? You know, now everybody's paying attention to that.
Josh Leyva
On that.
Sebas
On that one thing. Yeah, but she goes, did you say anything about, like, no, I'm just gonna let it ride because it's like, now that seat. Seatgeek thing got a lot more, like, attention to it, which is the whole point.
Josh Leyva
You know what's even funnier?
Sebas
Being sponsored.
Josh Leyva
I don't know if I should say this, but every time we do a seatgeek ad, the way it works is, like, we have to send it into SeatGeek so they can approve it and not even seeky. Got it.
Sebas
What an innuendo. Yeah. So I said that. And, yeah, it was kind of funny that.
Josh Leyva
It was. It was hilarious. I. I thought it was so funny because it was.
Sebas
I said, it's so, like.
Josh Leyva
Yeah, it was like, it wasn't. It was an honest, innocent mistake. Yeah. You know what I mean? Like, it was like, a pure mistake.
Sebas
Which goes back to the conversation that we were having the beginning of the Podcast is, you know, you start watching these people on your screen, like myself, and, you know, you look at them and, you know, you start realizing, wow, he's so vulnerable.
Josh Leyva
Yeah.
Sebas
He makes mistakes.
Josh Leyva
Oh, that's not. You weren't vulnerable in that.
Sebas
I was vulnerable when I said that. Well, I was. When I read the comments, I was. I was very vulnerable in my bed.
Josh Leyva
Okay.
Sebas
Right. And I was like, wow, what a mistake I. I made. You know, Therefore, being vulnerable, therefore, was an option I had at the moment.
Josh Leyva
Yeah. Yeah.
Sebas
So we did that. So sorry. It was funny.
Josh Leyva
It was funny, bro.
Sebas
Probably won't happen again. Or might it?
Josh Leyva
Probably.
Sebas
I think on the next Tiki Cat. We should just get your tickets to go see all these dead people now.
Josh Leyva
Michael Jackson, Elvis Presley.
Sebas
Oh, my God, I feel bad saying dead people. Does anybody feel bad saying it' you.
Josh Leyva
Said it like, you kind of said it aggressively, bro. Like, let's go see these dead people. Like, dude, you got to see all that, bro. Like, you know, it's too hard.
Sebas
Yeah.
Josh Leyva
So it's too harsh.
Sebas
But you can go on SE and type in 2025 to get 10% off your tickets at the moment for people who are actually alive. So also, one thing about me and you know, we're going back to the. To. To the conversation of what a creative genius I am.
Josh Leyva
Yeah.
Sebas
Is that I created this new wallpaper for us. Screensaver, as some would call it.
Josh Leyva
This is so sick.
Sebas
And we haven't really talked about it. I think we. We did we have it for Mikey or Natalia.
Josh Leyva
Mikey was the first guest that we had.
Sebas
Yeah. So. So we have this. And if you guys didn't know, we're huge street fighter fans, obviously, because that's the era where we were kind of born in.
Josh Leyva
Yeah.
Sebas
So I said, hey, why don't we put myself and the Josh Leyva. We have two TVs. We dress up. I hired this amazing animations guy. He's also a great graphic designer. He goes by the name of Mason. Mason, if you're watching, thank you so much for working on this project with myself, bro.
Josh Leyva
So talented.
Sebas
And, you know, we. We kind of went back and forth with some ideas, and we came out with this. So I said, why not? Seva's on the left, Josh on the right. We're dressed up as street fighters, and every five minutes it looks like.
Josh Leyva
Yeah, you know what?
Sebas
It's really cool.
Josh Leyva
You know what was interesting about this whole process is that we gotta see this come to life from start to finish. And when it comes to animation, something like this level, the way it works is, like, the artist sends you a raw sketch of the character first. Not moving, not doing anything right. And then from there, you kind of give him notes on, like, hey, do you like the way you look as a character or the character? And then he fines. Tunes the character. And then from there, he goes into the animations of them doing, like, the fighting and stuff. So obviously, these characters are Sevas and myself. And when we first saw the illustration, it's just so funny how, like, people perceive you in different lights. Like, yeah, this is not a dig towards the artist because he was amazing, obviously, but he had given me a full beard, which I was like, thank you. Not realistic. I was like, you need to give me some patches, my boy. So as you can see, mine has, like, a little bit of the stubble. Also, he gave me a gigantic forehead originally. He gave me a bit of a bigger nose, and he didn't give me my iconic, you know, hair swoop.
Sebas
Hair swivel.
Josh Leyva
Yeah. So I was like, listen, my boy, I need you to lower the four. I gotta. If anything, I got a three head. I don't got a forehead. That's seven hours. No, you got, like, a five head. And I need my. I need my Superman curl, you know? And I need you to give me a cuter nose. Maybe I don't have a cuter nose in real life, but at least for the animation, bro.
Sebas
Yeah, yeah, yeah. No, I think it looks like you.
Josh Leyva
But did you give him any notes for yours, or did you just say, like, make it fugly like me?
Sebas
No, I. I basically said, this is good for me, you know?
Josh Leyva
Bro, the word fugly is so hilarious.
Sebas
To me, which is basically a hybrid of ugly. Yeah.
Josh Leyva
Like, they just made it all worth. Like, bro, you ugly, bro.
Sebas
Ugly is ugly. That's crazy.
Josh Leyva
Yeah.
Sebas
Well, what's crazy together?
Josh Leyva
Crazy.
Sebas
Crazy.
Josh Leyva
Yeah, bro, that's crazy. Oh, we should start that, dude. Crazy.
Sebas
Crazy.
Josh Leyva
Yeah, yeah.
Sebas
Be a trendsetter, bro.
Josh Leyva
Love it. But, yeah, man. Shout out to the animator who did this. Yeah, it's so cool. It's so dope. They fight every five minutes. So I think we caught it, like, at the end of it.
Sebas
But, yeah, they. They've seen it. They've seen it. But, yeah, once again, and this is something that actually, like, that Josh really appreciates about me, is that I do stuff for our job, our show, that he won't know until I give him the, like, hey, look at what I'm doing, you know?
Josh Leyva
Yeah.
Sebas
Like, I don't really bring some. I just do it for the better. For the better good of us.
Josh Leyva
Yeah.
Sebas
Right?
Josh Leyva
Yeah.
Sebas
And this is your cue to say something nice about me.
Josh Leyva
You do.
Sebas
Okay, so. So Jess has a topic up here, and I feel like it. We're already kind of like.
Josh Leyva
No, I don't want to talk about your stupid marathon. I don't care, bro. Don't care. Okay, look, you got. You got. You got. You got 30 seconds to talk about your marathon. Okay? I'm going to give you 30 seconds.
Sebas
What I was going to say is. It's up here. It was two, three weeks ago. I never had a chance to really talk about my marathon.
Josh Leyva

Josh Leyva
But, hey, look, can I. Oh, look, they're gonna fight. They're fighting right here. Look at this. I'm kicking his ass, Seabass. Look at this right here. Look at this. Kung fu.
Sebas
Oh.
Josh Leyva
Bro, you don't stand a chance. You don't stand a chance.
Sebas
Well, you didn't even hit me once.
Josh Leyva
Okay, look, can I. Can I interview you?
Sebas
Here you go. My turn.
Josh Leyva
They're off right now. They should be fighting at the same time. All right, look, I'm going to interview you on the marathon, okay? Okay.
Sebas
I like that. I like that.
Josh Leyva
And then when I'm over it, we have to stop talking about it. Deal?
Sebas
Deal.
Josh Leyva
And I don't want you to go on these long tangents. Just answer the question that I'm asking you, and let's just move on. Okay? All right.
Sebas
Before we do that, I just want to say that I was looking at it, and then I was like, you know what? We can just give it. But out of respect for myself, maybe a couple sentences. But you know what, dude?
Josh Leyva
I think when you came up with the show, you called it la platica. You should have called it, like, yo platico. That's what you should have called it, because that's all you do.
Sebas
Okay, But I like that idea. I like it like, you interviewed me.
Josh Leyva
A couple.
Sebas
Couple questions.
Josh Leyva
Yeah.
Sebas
Be serious.
Josh Leyva
Yeah.
Sebas
Because what I did was. No, it was a big accomplishment in my life. All right?
Josh Leyva
You get. You get an answer. How about you do this? You get answered in two sentences.
Sebas
And if Karen doesn't like the way that you interviewed me, she's gonna you up, bro. Because she takes running seriously.
Josh Leyva
She does. I'll be careful of the game. I will. I'll be careful about. I'll be careful about this. That you, that you.
Sebas
That you say about me, because she's gonna back me up.
Josh Leyva
So I'm going to give people context, I'm going to ask you, like, basic questions, and then we're going to go into more of, like, the deeper questions about the marathon. Okay, Just answer the questions.
Sebas
Okay, I will.
Josh Leyva
Zabas.
Sebas
Yes.
Josh Leyva
You ran the LA marathon.
Sebas
Yes.
Josh Leyva
For anyone who doesn't know, marathon consists of how many miles?
Sebas
26.2 miles.
Josh Leyva
Brilliant. And this is the first marathon that you've ever ran?
Sebas
My first full marathon, yes.
Josh Leyva
And prior to this full marathon of 26.2 miles, what is the longest you have. Have ran?
Sebas
20 miles.
Josh Leyva
So you went into this marathon never running a full marathon, never even running 26 miles and just running 26?
Sebas
Yeah, I've only ran 20. That was, like, my max I've ever done. Yeah.
Josh Leyva
And when you did the 20, did you feel confident and going into the marathon, like, I got this, you know when.
Sebas
When you run.
Josh Leyva
Yeah.
Sebas
They say never to train to 26.
Josh Leyva
Oh, okay.
Sebas
Always to, like, about 18, 23, four. The max.
Josh Leyva
Okay.
Sebas
So I've only done 20. So when me and my friend and my wife, I. We spoke and we're like, I just need to know what 20 tastes like. It didn't taste very good.
Josh Leyva
So you were hurting on the 20?
Sebas
I was hurting.
Josh Leyva
So based on the Information that people have given you, like, don't run 26, just run 20. Do you stand by that now?
Sebas
Yeah, I agree. I think on those 20 that I ran, I, I, around 15, I started feeling it really bad. I started to cramp up a lot. Not like a naturally, not like a natural cramp where you're like, it's just one position. You're like, ah, just my, it feels like your whole legs are just dead. They feel like rubber bands and you can't really move them.
Josh Leyva
Wow.
Sebas
But I learned a lot from that run. I didn't hydrate properly. I didn't hydrate the day prior or during the run.
Josh Leyva
This is the 20 mile run.
Sebas
This is a 20 mile run. So I learned a lot on that 20 mile run. One through 20. When I did the actual Los Angeles marathon, I did them really good. Yeah, I was feeling it, but I, I did them well. It's the last six that got me. It's mentally, mentally a challenge.
Josh Leyva
So I gotta give you kudos, bro. Running 26 miles is wildly impressive in my opinion. And anybody who says otherwise, like, they don't fully understand what it takes to do that, thank you. Anybody who like steps into that, I will have, I will always have like mad respect for it.
Sebas
Same.
Josh Leyva
So you said you did the 20 miles and you were really confident, you were feeling good. And then this last six miles, a territory that you've never entered in before, you entered it and you experienced what.
Sebas
A mental challenge. A mental challenge. It was really Valley marathon. Kind of like it kind of me mentally, because around 19, 20, the mile mark, you can see the finish line.
Josh Leyva
Oh, wow.
Sebas
So you passing the finish line and knowing that you over, you're already there at the finish line, mind you. You're already 20 deep. That's a lot of miles deep. And to see it and to see people finishing and you still have six more to go from 20 to 26.2 was a mental challenge. It built me, I'm a lot stronger mentally. And I feel like now every time somebody wants to run, whether it be 10, 15 miles, I mentally can do that easily.
Josh Leyva
So it's fair to say that those last six miles like broke you as a human, right? Like broke you down. What is something that you learned about yourself during those six miles?
Sebas
I don't know. You just kind of start thinking about your whole life of how hard things can be, and then you're just like in it and your legs are just trembling, your body hurts. But I don't know, I just really, I don't Know, I feel like I got really close with my family for some reason. Like, even closer, because they were all there, and then I was, like, passing by them, and then I kind of felt like I was an inspiration to a lot of people. And mind you, there's thousands and thousands and thousands of people running, so I'm sure they feel the same way. But me passing my family and even, like, my wife and friends, I was like, wow, I just inspired them. So it made me feel like an inspiration. And then that made me feel like I should keep inspiring not just others, but, like, just like my family.
Josh Leyva
Yeah.
Sebas
Which was great.
Josh Leyva
Yeah. That being said, are you going to run another marathon?
Sebas
You know, the. The funny thing about that question is, if you would have asked me when I crossed that finish line, I would have been like, geez, I don't know. You know? Like, that was so hard to do. And the thing is, I didn't want to, like, walk. I walked, like, two, three times, bro, like, for a minute.
Josh Leyva
Like, a minute. Like.
Sebas
Like walking, like, getting myself. Like, I had to stop and walk and power walk for, like, a good 10 minutes. Minute or two.
Josh Leyva
Oh, okay. Not that long. No.
Sebas
Because you're like, if I wait three minutes, four minutes, like, that is crushing my pace.
Josh Leyva
Yeah.
Sebas
And. But I had to let my pride down. I'm like, you. You have to just stop for a second, really think and think, and, you know, get mentally stronger and just kind of, like, give yourself, like, the power to move forward.
Josh Leyva
Yeah.
Sebas
And so once I crossed that finish line, I was just kind of like. Like, I don't know if I want. My legs hurt. I was cramping up. But the day after, I'm like, I feel fine. Or even, like, three hours after, I'm like, I feel fine. Feel completely fine. The next day, I felt like I got hit by a truck. That's the first time in my life I've ever done 26.2 miles. But there's something about wanting to do it again that challenges me to do it again and do it five minutes faster, two minutes faster. I think I hit, like, five hours doing it. And I learned a lot from that marathon. I learned how to hydrate. I felt like I drank too much water in the beginning. I had to stop to the bathroom, like, two, three times, bro. I couldn't handle it. Oh, so you actually so that up my time, too.
Josh Leyva
They have, like, Porta Potties along the way.
Sebas
So, like, me knowing that I could have done it under five hours, which is insanely good. If you do a marathon in under five hours, you're amazing. If you do a marathon under three hour, under under four hours, you're fast. That's fast.
Josh Leyva
Sub four. Yeah, yeah.
Sebas
Sub four. You're fast. People who do marathons under three hours, you're insanely fast. That's so fast. People who do. There's the guy that finished the marathon. I think he did it in two hours and seven minutes. You're a superhuman, bro. You're running each mile at about four minutes and some change. Under five minutes a mile. And this ain't straight. There's hills, there's downhills. One thing I learned about Los Angeles is that is steep. Yeah, that thing is steep. You might. There was a couple hills, but the whole race was a gradual up I cycle. So we call it a. A false flat where you. It looks straight, but it's not that. It's like a 2 degrees or something like that and just going up and up and up. But yeah, man, it was a really.
Josh Leyva
Good accomplishment as far as like it being like that hilly. That's just. That's just because it's la and LA is one of the hillier marathons.
Sebas
Yeah, no, it was so hilly.
Josh Leyva
That's kind of crazy.
Sebas
Yeah, it was. It was really tough, man. It was really tough. I would do it again. I would do it again because it's really cool to. To apuntarte to do something because from that. Cuz I mean, if you think about it, that morning when I ran the marathon, and I think everybody who runs a marathon can think the same way. When I. I took the bus, me and my friends took the bus from Century City to Dodger Stadium. And the whole time I was thinking we were talking about it. Shout out to my friend Aaron. We're like, bro, we're kind of like at our peak performance right now as. As the age that we're in, you know, our physical ability to do this, we're at like pretty much peak. Like this is how good we are at the moment.
Josh Leyva
Yeah.
Sebas
This is as healthy as we are and as physically fit we are. We're about to run 26.2 miles and somebody just doesn't do that. Right. You train for that. So it's. It's kind of like you. You're really proud of yourself for being that fit at that moment. So if you sign yourself up for something like immediately. I signed up for a half marathon, like I think two days after.
Josh Leyva
Yeah.
Sebas
So we're doing the OC marathon in May four.
Josh Leyva
Yeah.
Sebas
So you just kind of have your. You kind of hold yourself accountable to. To being fit.
Josh Leyva
Dude. I think marathons are so beautiful in the sense of, like, just the training that goes into it, the discipline that people go into. Because that's a really good point that you said. Like, people just. You don't just wake up and run 26 miles. Right. There's, like. There's so much, like, discipline that goes into getting up into that point, and then you're there. And then the mental challenge of, like, going through that and then being there and witnessing people of all walks of life. Right. For different reasons, they're running the marathon. Some people to challenge themselves. Right. Some people running for a cause. Some people to prove something to themselves. Something. Some people to prove something to others. And you just get to see that. And people watching at a marathon is one of the coolest things to do, because everybody has a story, and you can see it in their face. You don't know what it is, but you just know that they have a why of why they're doing it.
Sebas
Yeah.
Josh Leyva
And you can see it in the way. And the. In the way they. The way they run to the expression. To people crying to what they're wearing. You know, there's people that are running in, like, firefighter outfits. There's people that are like. Or pushing their. Their friend or family member who might have, like, missing limbs or going through cancer. And it is such a beautiful thing.
Sebas
I always tell people, if you don't want to run a marathon, go and cheer for people who are.
Josh Leyva
Yes.
Sebas
Because simply that will change your life.
Josh Leyva
Yeah. Yeah.
Sebas
Simply that.
Josh Leyva
I think it's beautiful, bro. I enjoyed having this conversation with you. I would like to move on because I'm over it, but that was delightful.
Sebas
Yeah. We'll say.
Josh Leyva
And you know what, bro? I'm gonna say this. And I told you this already. I'm genuinely proud of you.
Sebas
Thank you.
Josh Leyva
I remember when you told me you were gonna sign up for the marathon, I was like, holy, man. Like, that is a big deal.
Sebas
Yeah.
Josh Leyva
You know what I mean? And to complete it is an even bigger deal. Like you. It's one thing a lot of people say a lot of things, bro, but not a lot of people back their up. And you said it and you backed your up, and you grew from it as a. As an individual, bro. And it's really cool.
Sebas
Cool. Yeah, I know. I mean, I'm surprised that I did it as well. Yeah. All the training. Because you don't just. Like you said, you don't just sign up for it, and you just do it.
Josh Leyva
Yeah.
Sebas
Oh, I signed up for it. I'm gonna do it in a couple months. Yeah, you sign up for it and you train the whole time. That's the hardest part. The race is the easiest part because you've already done the hard part. Now it's time to have fun.
Josh Leyva
There it is, man.
Sebas
Yeah. So I encourage everybody, if you want to run a half marathon, a 3K, 6K, whatever it is, to do it because there's going to be people around you cheering you on. And that right there, it kind of changed your perspective in life.
Josh Leyva
Well, I think you also get a deeper understanding of what, bro. Like, that's still. When I ran the half marathon, that was the first time I ever felt like giving up on myself. Like, I experienced that feeling where you're like this, like that mental challenge. That is true mental challenge. So experiencing that, getting to that point as a human, I think it's very important. I think it's, like, cool to have that understanding of, like, I know what it really feels like to be mentally challenged and feeling like I want to give up on myself and then not.
Sebas
Yeah, you. You're a different person.
Josh Leyva
We are on one episode. 189. That's so cool.
Jessica
200, dude.
Josh Leyva
200. We got to do something big for 200.
Jessica
I got some ideas.
Josh Leyva
Yeah?
Sebas
Yeah.
Josh Leyva
Should we drop like a cool 200 merch shirt? Like just like a limited only 200. We make 200 of the 200 merch and that's it. It's one of one. One of 200.
Sebas
I like that idea.
Josh Leyva
And maybe we can even figure out a way we can mark them. Like, you know how the. Yeah, like one of 200. Two of 200. That'd be dope, bro. It might be like more work. But even if it's like a little.
Sebas
Tag, I like that. And like, I'll have number one and you have two.
Josh Leyva
Sure. Yeah. Oh, that's fine.
Sebas
Great idea.
Josh Leyva
Yeah.
Sebas
I also want to know, like, what the people like back at home would like to do too. You know what I mean? Like, what do you guys think we should do? I think something that throw a block party. Should we, like, rent a club? Well, should we go to a restaurant?
Josh Leyva
Yes and yes.
Sebas
Restaurant.
Josh Leyva
Yes and yes. But we should also. Maybe that's the episode and I'm just throwing this out. Maybe get people going if they're. If they like it is bring some of the listeners on, you know, maybe we can do that. But they better come prepare, baby, because you're going to talk over them. Them if they don't you know 100.
Sebas
I am a hundred percent.
Josh Leyva
I am 100. You are inside joke. Yeah. But bro, that was. I really enjoyed that conversation of thanks of your. Of your man.
Sebas
At first I thought you're gonna be really sarcastic about the whole situation, but you did some serious things. And yeah, it really makes you feel just so proud of yourself off. It really does.
Josh Leyva
Good man. Can we move on?
Sebas
You know, you finish the race and, and, and, and you look in the mirror and you say, I can do whatever I want. I can. If I put my mind to it, I can accomplish any task. You know how good my body felt?
Josh Leyva
Hey, how do you need. How do you need an elephant?
Sebas
One bite at a time.
Josh Leyva
One mile at a time. One mile at a time.
Sebas
Sure. The next day I felt like. And I feel like I got hit by a truck.
Josh Leyva
You already said this. This already said this.
Sebas
But the third day when I was walking, I said, do you know what this body can do?
Josh Leyva
It's.
Sebas
I impress myself, honestly, people who run marathons.
Josh Leyva
See, this is why I didn't want you to talk about it. No, dude, we're done. It's done.
Sebas
But I definitely. On a serious note, I encourage people.
Josh Leyva
That you already said this.
Sebas
If you. You refuse doing a marathon, I think you should definitely try it. Little turkey trot.
Josh Leyva
Are you done?
Sebas
Yeah. Yeah.
Josh Leyva
And welcome back to Yo Platico, the number one Latino podcast in the world where I just. You guys just listen to me talk.
Sebas
Yokoro. No, honestly, I feel like you've talked more on this episode.
Josh Leyva
I wish that we could pull up, like, data, like, you know. No, no, data, like, would see who has really talked more.
Sebas
Yeah, like generate words. Words like who generated more words on the show.
Josh Leyva
No, no, generate words. Like the way you said that was like, not it.
Sebas
Right now I went to go number one and I looked at myself in the mirror and I said, I kid you not.
Josh Leyva
Or help me.
Sebas
I said, this is the sickest hat I own.
Josh Leyva
Has anybody ever diagnosed you with adhd? Because I as I'm gonna diagnose you with ADHD right now.
Sebas
You think I have it.
Josh Leyva
What? I just diagnosed you and you need pills.
Sebas
You genuinely think I have it.
Josh Leyva
You need pills.
Sebas
That's a good thing, right?
Josh Leyva
I'm just kidding. I actually don't think you have adhd.
Sebas
No, right?
Josh Leyva
No, no, no.
Sebas
I feel like I have something.
Josh Leyva
Do you have a hard time focusing?
Sebas
Yes.
Josh Leyva
You do, Massively. Oh, really? Like, even like when we're having conversations, you, like, feel like it's difficult for you?
Sebas
I do. I Genuinely do.
Josh Leyva
Do you get over conversations? Like you just, you kind of lose interest. Just.
Sebas
I feel like on a normal day to day thing with like a lot of people outside of the show, I do like it. I had a hard time in school and I have a hard time just in general.
Josh Leyva
What about.
Sebas
But not here.
Josh Leyva
What about things that.
Sebas
Here I'm kind of in it.
Josh Leyva
What about like watching tv?
Sebas
No, because when I'm watching tv I'm really focused on it.
Josh Leyva
Oh, you are?
Sebas
But that's it. I'm not focused on anything else other than that. But yeah, I'll like, if it's pretty boring, I'll just like go back and forth. But like if someone's talking to me, I have to pause the TV and then listen.
Josh Leyva
Have you ever had, Is there a lot of moments where you're conversing with somebody, you're having like a long form conversation and you tend to like tune out?
Sebas
Yes. Oh my God. It did just happen right now.
Josh Leyva
Interesting.
Sebas
And then I just, it's funny. I tune out and then I'm like, I think this is what he said.
Josh Leyva
Yeah, yeah. So you just kind of pick up the pieces and be like, I think.
Sebas
Yeah, yeah, no, but it doesn't happen all the time. But it does happen.
Josh Leyva
So would you consider yourself a good listener? Honestly? I'm asking you honestly, I'm not trying to be funny right now, but would you say, like, would you, could you say I'm a really good listener? Like I listen intently.
Sebas
Yes. But I feel like I can sometimes drop the ball on it. Yeah, sure.
Josh Leyva
Yeah. Okay. That's normal.
Sebas
Yeah. But I am a good listener.
Josh Leyva
Yeah.
Sebas
Do you consider myself a good listener? Honestly, A good listener? Yeah, a good listener.
Josh Leyva
If I had to rank you on your listening skills. Yeah, I like that you asked me this question, by the way, because I'm going to answer it honestly.
Sebas
Yeah, that's right.
Josh Leyva
I think that you are a decent listener. Good listener. That's different, bro. There's, there's, there's levels to it. A decent listener. I think you're decent. And you just said it yourself. Like you tend to like tune out. You'll kind of pick up the pieces that you can't say you're a good listener. If you do that. A good listener is like, no, I'm listen, I listen intently, you know, And I don't necessarily tune out from having a conversation. Like I'm in the conversation, you know, like right now you're listening to me intently. I can see it in your eyes.
Sebas
I'm trying so hard.
Josh Leyva
I know you're making your. Now you're stressing me out. No, but this is good. Like, right now, good listener. This is a good listener.
Sebas
Yeah.
Josh Leyva
Yeah. But there's moments where I, like, we'll be talking, and I'm like, he's not. He's listening, but he's not fully listening.
Sebas
Yeah.
Josh Leyva
You can see it in you. For you, it's, like, pretty obvious. For some people, it's not so obvious that they're, like, not listening, you know? But for you, it's like, you'll kind of, like, space out. You'll lose eye contact. You'll, like, check your phone. You'll walk away, literally. Do it.
Sebas
Just know that that's not of me being a dick. It's just. That's just the way my mind.
Josh Leyva
I have learned to realize that about you. Yeah. And I never thought that you were like. Like a dick. I never thought that, you know, but it was something that I. Like, it was something that I didn't notice about you.
Sebas
Yeah. Because I'm not a dick.
Josh Leyva
Yeah. Yeah.
Sebas
Would you consider me a dick?
Josh Leyva
What I say like that. No, dude, not even remotely close.
Sebas
Not even remotely close. I'm such a nice guy.
Josh Leyva
No, you are, bro. You genuinely are. You're. You're a very kind guy. So anybody. Because obviously we're in each other's lives, like, a lot, and I've introduced you to so many people. And every person I've introduced you to, bro, has only said really, like, kind things about you. And as, like, you have, you leave an imprint on people when you meet them.
Sebas
Yeah.
Josh Leyva
And I've, like. And I've experienced that with, like, people I've introduced you to. To.
Sebas
Yeah. Until I stop listening to them.
Josh Leyva
Right. And then they go, that guy's a dick. And he ain't.
Sebas
Would you consider me a dick? That's another one. Like, why do we have to be dicks? Like, dicks don't do.
Josh Leyva
There you go. But the dicks is, like. Right. It's the same. It has the same kind of meaning.
Sebas
Yeah.
Josh Leyva
Right.
Sebas
You dick.
Josh Leyva
No. Is dick worse than, like, what I was gonna say? Probably worse? Yeah.
Jessica
Like, if you think about it literally.
Josh Leyva
Yeah.
Sebas
Like, what?
Josh Leyva
Okay. Yeah. I'm like, yeah, Yeah.
Sebas
I miss. I mean, Sonny Wallace.
Josh Leyva
Yeah.
Sebas
Kind of dick and an.
Josh Leyva
Yeah. Yeah. But when I think of somebody's, like, if somebody goes, that guy was a dick. What I think is, like, he was very, like, almost, like, arrogant and kind of like. Like, just, like, uses a dick, but, like, an. You can be rude.
Sebas
Yeah.
Josh Leyva
And that's kind of like, you know, they're so. They're slightly different, I guess. I don't know. They're both insulting. Yeah.
Sebas
Yeah.
Josh Leyva
Anyways, are we gonna do.
Sebas
Am I the ass speaking about.
Josh Leyva
Let's do it.
Sebas
We're doing a couple of my. The.
Josh Leyva
Look, I really wish, like, guys, if you're listening this in the episode. Like, this episode has been. This is like. Like, this is like your. Your blueprint. Standard La Platica episode. Chaotic all over the place, but still has some heart. Like, how are you feeling this deep in the episode right now? You know what I mean? Because this is like, we're in it. This is a La platica. True and true.
Sebas
True and true.
Josh Leyva
True and true. True and through. True. Yeah, that was a lot of spit.
Jessica
Anyways, don't be alarmed by the length of this one.
Sebas
Okay.
Jessica
It's anonymous. My boyfriend and I recently got back together after being broken up for a couple of months. Also, regarding the age, this one was a submission from before we asked the agent, so it was not included.
Josh Leyva
Oh, you pulled it from the archives?
Jessica
Yeah. So we got back together after being broken up for a couple of months. He asked me if I slept with anyone during the time that we were broken up, and I told him I hadn't. Even though I did sleep with one person. He told me that he wouldn't want to get back together in a relationship with me if I had slept with someone else. I chose not to tell him because, one, I know how much it would hurt him to know I was with someone else, especially because I know he hadn't slept with anyone during our time apart. And two, I don't think what I did during that period of time is relevant. Or is it. Am I the asshole for keeping that away from him? Also, he was the one that. Who broke. He was the one who broke up with me in the first place.
Josh Leyva
Okay, I'm going to start off by saying this. This is a very common thing, and this is a really good question that I feel like a lot of people have, like, gone through, like, they break up with their partner and then you don't know what happens and you get back together and you deserve to know what happened. Yeah, right.
Sebas
Do you, though?
Josh Leyva
Do you deserve to know what happened and you're getting back together? I think maybe deserve is not the right word, but you have the right to ask.
Sebas
I think you have the right to ask. In a couple of months. She said that they broke up in a couple months, which is two months. Let's Just say two or three.
Josh Leyva
Okay.
Sebas
Then they got back together and she. And, And. And she had sex with somebody, but she also lied.
Josh Leyva
Let's just.
Sebas
Let's just.
Josh Leyva
Let's just say it as it is that she lied.
Sebas
Yes.
Josh Leyva
And she feels bad about lying because she knows how much it would hurt him.
Sebas
But damn, bro.
Josh Leyva
So I don't. First of all, I don't think she is an. But she. She's not a trooper, you know, like, she should have. If. If you're. If you want to. If you really are doing. You. You broke up with somebody and now you're back in. You guys are giving it another shot, and you're starting off the second opportunity on a lie. What does that say? Like, how much? Like what. What really changed? Starting on the wrong track on your second go around.
Sebas
Yeah. My biggest issue right now is, mind you, he broke up with her. Yeah, fine. But it's been a couple months and you already smashed somebody. Like, that's kind of bad. Like, if I was with you, right? Like me and you were together. Sorry. I just thought about me and you being together.
Josh Leyva
I knew it.
Sebas
I knew, like, it was so. It was. Was so. It was. I just. Both just so happy.
Josh Leyva
I'll never leave this.
Sebas
I was like, so happy. My relationship right now, I would be bottomed too. I wouldn't mind.
Josh Leyva
So.
Sebas
Dude, imagine getting clapped by Josh.
Josh Leyva
Dude, you're so out of pocket.
Sebas
I just had to say. Love it. I just had to say that.
Josh Leyva
Okay, so you break up.
Sebas
Okay, Imagine me and you were together and I broke up with you, and you already smashed somebody.
Josh Leyva
I don't think that's so much the point, though. I get what you're saying, but I don't think that's the biggest thing here. You know, they were broken up. What she decided to do during that time is completely up to her.
Sebas
For two months.
Josh Leyva
It doesn't matter. That is her. That quick. It doesn't. I'm not. I'm not here to judge her, okay?
Sebas
I'm not judging her either.
Josh Leyva
I don't think that's the problem. The problem is you got back with your ex boss and they ask you and you lie.
Sebas
I get it.
Josh Leyva
If you want to live your life and you. You know what? If she was that confident about living her life, like, look, we were broken up at that point. I would do nothing. And am I proud of that? No. But I did it. And this is where I'm at. And take it or leave it, sweetheart.
Sebas
I agree with you. I agree with you.
Josh Leyva
You don't have to be proud of it, bro. Maybe it was a drunken moment. She's going through it emotionally. I don't know every. You know what I mean? She could have been. She could have had her reasoning for doing it. And maybe now she's like, man, I look back at it, I'm not proud. Can I tell you something? My gut, my, my gut tells me she is not proud of that moment. No, because, and two, because she's writing in. She's really, like, vocalized in this. Like, I think she's like, damn. I, I, you know, now I kind of regret it.
Sebas
No, I completely agree with you.
Josh Leyva
Yeah.
Sebas
I completely agree with you. Yeah.
Josh Leyva
I don't think you're an. I think you're human. I think you made a mistake by not telling the truth. Because now you're like, now this is like something that's over your head, you know? And who broke up with who genuinely doesn't matter. And what you did.
Sebas
Who broke up with who genuinely doesn't matter.
Josh Leyva
And what you did during your breakup didn't matter in that moment of time, but now it kind of does.
Sebas
Kinda mind just says, I don't think what I did during that time period is relevant. Or is it. Can you answer that? Is it relevant in those two months that she slept with somebody? That's kind of a question right there. Is it relevant?
Josh Leyva
Okay, if, if, if my part, if we had broken up, right? And then I asked my partner what they do during that time that they were broken up, and they said, why is that relevant? That's gonna make me feel weird.
Sebas
Because I'm asking you, and that wasn't that long ago.
Josh Leyva
I'm asking you, like, an honest question because I want to know during that time. Because, like, you just said, we were only broken up for a couple months.
Sebas
That's nothing.
Josh Leyva
What did you do during that time? I. I kind of want to know.
Sebas
Yeah.
Josh Leyva
And based on that, you just. Based on what you said, you, if your partner would have said, I hooked up with somebody, that you would have changed the way you view them. You'll be like, we just broke up for a couple months.
Sebas
Yeah.
Josh Leyva
And you slept with somebody. That's where I'm getting at, you know, and maybe for somebody else, be like, I just kind of want to know.
Sebas
Yeah.
Josh Leyva
You know, So I think you're able to ask those.
Sebas
Because I'm also a firm believer that if you broke up with somebody, and let's just say, and I know it's stupid, kind of like putting a time to it, but it does kind of matter. If you, if you want, if you've broken up with that person for six months to a year, I don't even think you should be. I think you should start from scratch.
Josh Leyva
Not as.
Sebas
Don't ask questions like that because that already off the bat is just not good.
Josh Leyva
That's a good point. I like.
Sebas
But I think if you just did a couple months, that just means that you guys went through something really quick and you guys broke up and now you're back together and you're realizing that you guys do like each other. And I get it, you made a mistake. I'm sure you don't feel proud of that moment. But the fact that you lied already again, you know, and you're starting off off lying. I don't think that you're a bad person. I don't want to say you're an. I think you're human like you said. But. Okay, that hurts. And he doesn't even know, right?
Josh Leyva
Let's.
Sebas
He still doesn't know that.
Josh Leyva
And that's what hurts too. Let's just say you're in, you're in this guy's shoes, okay? And you find out that you guys got back together. You had asked your girl who had been broken up for two months, let's just say two months, right? You go, hey, did you sleep with anybody? I just kind of want to know. Want to know. And then she goes, I did not. But she lied. And then maybe the her guilty conscience is eating at her. And one day she goes, sebas, I need to talk to you. I know we were broken up. Honestly, I, I, I was going through a lot. I didn't think we were going to get back together. I was so heartbroken. And I lied to you. I wasn't fully honest with you, but I actually did hook up with one person. It was one time and I just needed to tell you because it was eating me alive. Do you feel like it's fair for you to have the right to break up with her because of that? A.
Sebas
It depends how much I love her. I was just going back to our situation. I'd be like, I wouldn't know what to think. Grab it.
Josh Leyva
Who the Was it Josh? No, I'm not the date the person you're dating, dude.
Sebas
I know, but I like to think you were. Who was it, Josh?
Josh Leyva
Who the was it, man? Who? Matt?
Sebas
Was it Matt?
Josh Leyva
Was it Matt?
Sebas
Whatever, man.
Josh Leyva
I lied. It was mad. I don't know why I just lied again. Just can't stop lying. No, but ah.
Sebas
I just, I Just I, I wish there was a longer period.
Josh Leyva
Wait, date, you know, before she slept with somebody. Yeah.
Sebas
Cause bro, like if you're with somebody and I don't even know how long they were with each other, like prior.
Josh Leyva
Bro, I'm gonna be honest with you. I know this is gonna sound.
Sebas
If the relationship was brand new and they broke up. I, I mean, I don't know. I just, I just think it's, it's, it's not good to have sexual intercourse with somebody in a month or two of breaking up.
Josh Leyva
I think that.
Sebas
Who said it, who said maybe she didn't even smash somebody, that, that the.
Josh Leyva
Next week she said one person. She didn't say how many times. That's another thing I'd want to ask too.
Sebas
How many times? And was it on the last day of the second month or was it the following week? And she just said in, in those two months?
Josh Leyva
Yeah.
Sebas
I don't know. That didn't sit well with me. But I don't think you're an. I think people make mistakes. I'm gonna say this, I just don't think it was really good that you lied.
Josh Leyva
From personal, from my own personal feeling. If my partner that I dated broke up with me, we got back together a few months and I found out she slept with somebody. But. And for. First she lied and then she ended up having to tell me because it was eating her alive. I would break up with her not because of like pride, but for the sake of our relationship. Because I know what that's going to do to me mentally. And I. She doesn't deserve, and I don't deserve to be put in this relationship that could potentially become toxic because of this information that I now hold. And maybe that just shows the lack of maturity that I may have, but I just know I couldn't, I couldn't deal with that. And I just wouldn't want to put myself in that, that position.
Sebas
I agree.
Josh Leyva
Cuz that what that's going to do to my mind and the replays that I'm going to have and the thoughts and everything. I couldn't do it.
Sebas
No, I agree with you couldn't do it. I agree with Josh. I couldn't do it either. And you can't like kind of tell yourself this is where I'm at, like maturity wise. Is that how you say, like where I'm at, like my maturity of like how I handle things? That's okay to feel like that, bro, this is your relationship. Something that you're. Something that you're willing to Be a part of. And if you don't like the way that you're being a part of, it's okay to not like that.
Josh Leyva
Yeah.
Sebas
You're supposed to be picking your relationship. You know what I mean? If that's going to eat you alive and you feel dumb because she made a mistake, but like you still can't be with this person because of what she did. It's okay to feel that way.
Josh Leyva
Yeah.
Sebas
You don't have to be with her.
Josh Leyva
That's fair.
Sebas
Because you live one life. Life. And you should live as happy as you can be and as clean mentally.
Josh Leyva
Yeah.
Sebas
You should have a mental clarity. People make mistakes all the time too.
Josh Leyva
And that's okay.
Sebas
And that's okay. But you don't have. You make a mistake and you take somebody back. That is your job also to like leave it in the past because you.
Josh Leyva
Are really fully honest with you from the jump.
Sebas
Yeah. But people make mistakes all the time. Relationships are not perfect. I'm not that. That's. That's more of a possibility than this fantasy relationship. So. But if you're willing to, to move forward and accept is both of your guys responsibility to put that to the side. And honestly, like, I'm not even saying put it to the side. You know it's always going to be there. But just know that you made that decision to go back. So it's A and B, need to keep it chill and let bygones be bygones.
Josh Leyva
Amen, brother.
Sebas
Right?
Josh Leyva
Yep. Yeah. Crazy. Crazy. Are you asking?
Jessica
No.
Josh Leyva
You're not asking? Wait, you're not asking your partner what they did during the two months that you have?
Jessica
I did not submit this.
Josh Leyva
No.
Sebas
No.
Josh Leyva
But like she's like, what the hell? No. Oh, man. Is your name anonymous? No. Are you, are you asking your partner if you guys broke up?
Jessica
Like, like a part of me would want to know, but I, I wouldn't be able to handle.
Sebas
Yeah.
Jessica
If they said yes. If I heard what I didn't want to hear. You know what I mean? Like, yeah, I wouldn't be.
Josh Leyva
Especially if you were going through, like, if you were going through it like you couldn't even leave the house like you were going through. And then you find out that they were out here like doing their thing.
Jessica
Yeah. It would end sooner.
Sebas
Would you ask if they hooked up with anybody if it was six months to a year that you were broken up with that person? Would you ask? No, I wouldn't ask. That's not my place anymore to leave somebody for that long.
Josh Leyva
I think I could have the conversation.
Sebas
You don't own them.
Josh Leyva
I know that, but I think I can have the conversation. Like, wow, we were broken up for a year.
Sebas
Why does it benefit you?
Josh Leyva
It doesn't benefit, but I think if the conversation happened, I am. I can. I can receive it a little better. A lot better. Fully. Sure.
Sebas
If it happens.
Josh Leyva
Yeah, sure. Yeah.
Sebas
But I'm not gonna be like, so who'd you hook up with?
Josh Leyva
Well, I'm. Be real with you, bro. The kind of person I am, I kind of say I talk about everything in my relationship.
Sebas
No, no. Trust me.
Josh Leyva
So it's not like I'm just not gonna talk about that one year. It's like, it's gonna happen. I'm gonna dive in. I'm gonna find out. I want to know what you learned, what you went through, where you were at. Like, what did you experience? Not, maybe not off the jump, first day we're back together. But if we're out having brunch one day.
Sebas
But if you ask those questions, you're not. You're not reacting to them negatively.
Josh Leyva
Absolutely not.
Sebas
You're reacting to them as in, that's an experience that you have.
Josh Leyva
Yeah.
Sebas
And I'm glad that you went out and you did your thing.
Josh Leyva
Yeah.
Sebas
And honestly, I did. I think nine out of 10 people that go through that, they learn a lot from that and they. They actually make the relationship that you're in again stronger. So. Good question. That's a really good question.
Josh Leyva
Should we do one more? You want to do one more?
Sebas
Yeah, one more.
Jessica
Five minutes.
Josh Leyva
Okay, cool. Let's knock it out.
Jessica
Am I the if I don't make lunch for my husband? Don't get me wrong, there are times that I save him dinner leftovers. However, there's not always food left. We both work full time. I'm also a part time student. We are both very busy with our children's sports activities. I think a relationship should be a team effort. My husband doesn't expect me to pack him a lunch, but when family members find out I don't pack a lunch, they judge. I always tell them that cooking and cleaning are life skills.
Sebas
Let those family members worry about their own lunch packing problems.
Josh Leyva
For real, if you are good with your. Your partner.
Sebas
Yeah.
Josh Leyva
It's not an issue between you guys.
Sebas
No.
Josh Leyva
This shouldn't even be an issue from the jump. But like any, any issue, if people have concerns about your relationship, but it's not an issue within yours, who gives a what anybody else thinks?
Sebas
Yeah.
Josh Leyva
You know what I mean? So it's just that's just kind of.
Sebas
Stupid people who, like, talk to other people about that. Like, oh, and they look at you weird because you don't do that. That's because they hate doing it and they want you to do it so, like, they can feel more like, if it's like, more of, like, a common thing for them to do, they feel better about that themselves.
Josh Leyva
Yeah, but if you pack a lunch.
Sebas
For your man, I don't. And you do it for the. The. The. The good of your heart. That's amazing.
Josh Leyva
I love that.
Sebas
And it can be vice versa. The husband makes you lunch while you go to work. Like, that's all cool, but we don't live in those times anymore.
Josh Leyva
Yeah.
Sebas
Blah, blah, blah.
Josh Leyva
Yeah.
Sebas
No, if you want to do that, that's an amazing thing that you do. That's amazing on some, like, not even, like, macho. That's really cool that you do that. But no, you are not the ass at all. At all. And you're already doing other stuff, like taking the kids here, taking the kids there.
Josh Leyva
Yeah.
Sebas
Being a great mother. That's all you need to do. That's it. And if your man's not complaining about it, don't trip.
Josh Leyva
Right? But the other, like, people on the outside are. I hate that. I'm not worried about them.
Sebas
See, that's another thing where I slide through the camera and I say funny Mexican word of the day. I hate when people say that because it's, like, such an insult. Well, D.
