It shouldn't be an issue, but we.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
Don'T live in that.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
You know, it's not a perfect world. So I. I don't know. I. I would have to know exactly who the guy is. You know what I mean?
Jessica (Therapist/Comment Reader)
This one is from Maria Ortiz.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
Oh, therapist.
Jessica (Therapist/Comment Reader)
She's a therapist. I also noticed Josh's responses during this episode. A lot of people were mentioning Josh how you kind of seemed a little off for whatever reason. And you know what? That's so funny because you brought it up. I did. As soon as we stopped recording, I was like, hey, are you okay?
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
Yeah. Yeah.
Jessica (Therapist/Comment Reader)
Therapist. Also not Josh's responses during this episode. It appeared a bit dissociative, but that could have just been. That could just be because he was thinking deeply, avoiding completely or having an off day. Regardless, I think it's sweet to read other people caught this because it means we're attuned to our hosts. Love La platica, and we see the best.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
I'm gonna get emotional. That's beautiful. I appreciate you guys like, looking out for me like that. And just. And I'll tell you guys this insight just kind of mentioned it right now. She said after that episode, I'm not even joking. She was walking towards the camera and she looked at me dead in the eyes.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
On air.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
Forget it. No, she's like, josh, are you okay? You seemed like you were kind of checked out towards the end. She did say that. I remember.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
Yeah, it was. You're just being a quiet little. Huh? Hey, yo, guess what? Guess what?
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)

Crazy. And that's why we decided to drop it again. So these are out now? They've been out last Friday.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
Yeah, they're out.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)

Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
It's true. It's. It's good. It's double platinum right now. Yeah, it's double platinum, but we're expecting a trip. Triple platinum release.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
I love this T shirt, man.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
So these are out now? Yeah. I love them, man. I love. I. I love the mate. I love. I loved. Wait, what? Huh? I love making that shirt. I loved making that shirt.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
Yeah.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
How do you say that?
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
Yeah, I love designing that.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
I love designing that shirt. Yeah. It's such a great feeling when people love what. What you kind of designed. That's why I take a lot of pride into, like, I'll do it. I'll do it. Yeah, Obviously, I got the help from Alex too, which. Our graphic designer.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
Yeah, he's. He's legit. This tee right here, we had it available for our live shows that we were selling for people to buy as well, and they sold out every time we would go to a different city. This is the shirt that sold out over our designed live T shirt tee that our faces on it, which is.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
One of my favorites.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
Mine too.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
Yeah. But it's out now, guys, so go. It's on Sasson Studios. L. A.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
We'll put the link below.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
Am I tripping? Is it Sasson Studios? Right.
Editor/Producer
Sorry.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
I just deal with so many websites nowadays.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
Yeah, yeah, yeah. And then, honestly, if you guys do purchase a shirt. One, thank you, guys. Appreciate it. Two, we want to see you guys in the shirts, so make sure to tag us so we can repost you guys. And Jess has something to say.
Jessica (Therapist/Comment Reader)
Just real quick. I have run into people wearing that T shirt at Disneyland.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
Yeah.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
I'm telling you, this is.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
This is a shirt right here, bro. Yeah, it's a shirt. The shirt.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
Like, I don't know why Disney hasn't hit us up like, yo, can we sell this at California Adventure? You know what I mean? Like, you know, for sure. Yeah, for sure. If Give me a lifetime pass. For sure. Yeah, yeah.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
How you doing, bro?
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
Man, I'm good. I just came back from Orlando.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
Yeah.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
In Orlando and my Dominicano, there's a lot of.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
Yeah.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
Puerto Ricans and Dominicans in Orlando. Shout out to you guys.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
What'd you do?
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
One of our friends having their first baby.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
Whoa.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
And we went to their baby shower. It was amazing. Love was in the air. It was so funny. It was like one of the most. It was like the only time in my life where all the girls, all her friends are pregnant.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
Really?
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
Every single girl that was there. Prego pregnant. I've never been around so many pregnant.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
Girls, so that's kind of cool. So they're gonna.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
It was all. It was cool.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
At the same time.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
Around the same time, yeah. Whoa. So we were hanging out with them. We had a great time. And then, obviously, we took advantage and we went to Disney World. Disney World?
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
Yeah.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
Epcot. First time being at Epcot.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
Epcot is sick, man.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
Nice place. Yeah, Very nice.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
Yes.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
Yeah. I liked it a lot. It was. It was. It was fun. It was really cool. Just kind of, like, got to enjoy some time with my wife and my friends.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
Was it packed?
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
I guess, yeah, it was kind of busy.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
Regular Disney. Okay. Okay. The reason I ask, because obviously it's Disney, right? Disney's always back, dude. I had the luxury and the privilege to go to Epcot right as the pandemic was ending. So I was, like, one of the first people to go into Epcot as they were reopening. And it was a ghost town.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
Wow.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
To the point that I didn't process that.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
But all the rides were up.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
There was only, bro. They were operating normal. And I remember thinking, like, wow, I wonder if Epcot is just not a pop in park like that. Because it was dead, bro.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
Yeah.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
And then I remember, I was like, oh, I guess it's just, you know, people are still kind of getting back into the swing of things. And I was talking to a few of the cast members and they were like, no, this is, like, this normal. It's, like, crazy busy.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
Yeah.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
What I like about Epcot, and I don't know if you caught this, but every. You know, you're walking around different countries, around the world, right? And you're going to different, you know, so you're going to, you know, Mexico, London, whatever, and you get to have.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
I finally experienced that.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
A specific drink to that country or food. And every. Every cast member at that country is from that country. They only hire from that country for whatever country you're in. So if you're in Morocco, all those people are Moroccan.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
Really? Yeah, bro.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
It's really cool, everybody.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
Yeah, you're right, because I was in France and they were speaking.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
Was French.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
Yeah. They're friends. They're Parisian.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
Yeah.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
And then I was like, I kind of made a joke. I was, like, all in character, but it was. Yeah, it was like a real thing.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
That's what they do.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
I didn't know that. That's sick.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
And the reason I knew that is because the. I was able to talk to one of the cast members during that time and. Yeah, because we were just chatting it up at the bar.
Editor/Producer
Right?
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
Yeah.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
And the guy was from Morocco. And then he was like, yeah, everybody. Everybody is from the country that I.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
Had a drink in Morocco.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
Yeah.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
It's a great time, man.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
Bro, it's a vibe.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
It's always like. I feel like we weren't there long enough. So definitely want to go back.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
Yeah, it's. It's cool.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
Who wants to go to the Four Seasons in Orlando?
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
Did you stay there?
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
And then it was. We had a great time.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
Wait, why are you cutting me off?
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
What?
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
It's okay you stayed there.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
No, it's not okay. Because then you're gonna make fun of me again.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
No, I'm asking.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
Like, when I did with my shoes, I'm asking. My socks.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
Okay. This time I'm genuinely asking.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
I wanted to check it out. Yes. I wanted to. I wanted to know the hype and why the baby was so excited to be there.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
Yeah.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
Do you get it?
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
Do you get the hype?
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
It's a really nice hotel. You know what it is?
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
Yeah.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
Four Seasons is Four Seasons.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
Yeah.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
It's great. That. Don't think that I love the room. I don't. It wasn't, like, the rooms are very. Just kind of grand. Not grand, but very, like, traditional. Just nice.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
Like, kind of dated.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
But I've been to other hotels, boutique hotels, where, like, the. The actual room is more modern. There's, like, super cool stuff that they have in there.
Jessica (Therapist/Comment Reader)
This is just a.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
You feel like you're in, like, a house in 2004.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
Dude, if there's one thing I love is super cool stuff that.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
Me, too. But the thing that the Four Seasons gives you is service, environment, energy. You just can't go hampered, you know, pampered. So if you ever have the opportunity to say, I want. It's nice. It's really nice.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
They based.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
They have, like, great food and all the amenities. It's nice.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
White Lotus Four Seasons.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
Yeah. I want to visit that one, too.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
Yeah, that one with the Thailand one. Which one?
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
The Thailand one.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
Yeah.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
Yeah.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
Dude, I love the White Lotus. It's so good.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
Me too.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
It is so good.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
I like the song in the beginning of the.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
What is it? It's like something like that.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
It's always a different one, right? Yeah. But, yeah, we, we, we had a great time. It was really cool. It was my first time. I'm about to be 36 soon. Damn. And that was my first time ever at Epcot. And you know, as a little kid, you always see that golf ball.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
Yeah.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
And I finally got to see it and. And I. And I went on my knees and I started crying.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
It's a big ball.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
Yeah. And I was like, what's in it? I think there's a ride.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
You didn't go in it?
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
It was close. Ah, yeah. But I went on everything else. I went on Guardians of the Galaxy twice.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
Oh, sick.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
Yeah, they were like, dude, this is the best ride ever.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
Is it different than the one in California Adventure?
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
Yeah. Guardians of the Galaxy in California Adventure is a. It's like the Hollywood Tower, ter. Where you go up and down.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
No, this is a straight roller coaster. Whoa. You never been on it?
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
No, because I don't think it was open. I don't even think it existed yet.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
Yeah, it's like top tier Disney. Disney ride.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
Wow.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
It's really nice. Yeah. Wow.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
Florida is. Is cool, bro. Right? Like that area. What is it? Kissimmee.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
Kissing me. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I mean, yeah, Orlando's great, but if Disneyland wasn't there, what would people do in Orlando? I don't know.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
You think so?
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
Well, I don't know. The downtown was pretty cool. I liked it. But you can tell when you're at the airport. It's packed and it's all Disney people.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
I feel like, kiss me. Where? Or where Disney World is at. It's not Orlando. It's in a separate city called Kissimmee.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
Kissimmee.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
It feels. That whole town, that whole city feels like a vacation. I don't know how to describe it.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
Yeah.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
Like, you're there and you're like, okay, I'm on vacation right now.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
Yeah.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
It just gives a very American, traditional vacation.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
It. That's what it is. It's very American.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
It's very American. It's very, like you have like, like.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
You land in the airport and then there's a hotel in the airport.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
Yeah, it's.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
It's really.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
Yeah, yeah. And there's.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
It's a. It's a very American. I feel like, like, yeah, there's a lot of oriquas and, like, Latinos are there.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
Yeah.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
But, bro, when I would go to any restauran restaurant or store, there's a lot of gueros.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
A lot gueros.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
But I Had a great time. I love the city of Orlando. It was really nice. We got amazing weather.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
Nice.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
Yeah. The area where my friend lived, it was like all toll road freeways.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
So it was like toll road, tow.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
Road, like to pay a fee to be on that freeway.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
I just want to make sure that's what you said.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
Yeah. And it was like 3pm and there was no free. There was no traffic. It was like the weirdest thing ever. Yeah, but I liked it.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
I was in Lake Tahoe, Reno, doing a little bit of skiing.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
Yeah, I saw that. Did you eat?
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
Shout out to my girl, Mo, bro. Come on, man, don't be asking me questions like that. You know what's crazy?
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
Wait, you skied?
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
No, no, no. But I mean, like, moded. I snowboarded, but I know how to ski, bro. I feel like my ability to snowboard is like my party trick. A lot of people don't kind of assume that of me.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
I'm gonna hype you up real quick. You're like the. The Mexican Sean White, bro.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
I feel so confident on snowboard.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
It.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
It's crazy.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
It's part of you, it's part of me.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
I. I got really lucky. And I'll kind of. I'll open up a little bit here because the podcast is what we do. My mom remarried when I was like 7, 8 years old. And it's Marky's dad. And Marky's dad is from Guatemala. But this man. And shout out, shout out, shout out. I don't want to say his name, doesn't matter, but shout out him. Shout out him. He's the most well rounded, cultured man I know. And at a very young age, he introduced me to a bunch of different cuisines. Like, I learned Indian food and Filipino food and all these foods because he was just so fascinated and so educated on it. So that's how I got to experiment with food at such a young age. You know, I feel like a lot of people don't have that luxury, right? Like, for example, I have like, friends that are like, you know, 30, and they've never had Indian food, like something simple like that, you know, So I got the luxury of having that, like 8 years old, I was like. And, bro, my mom would have never.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
Indian food's fire too.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
Taking me to. I'm just getting India food as an example. But, like, it really brought in my. Broadened my horizons of different cultures, different foods. And I say all that to say he also was a skier. So by seven, eight years old, bro, he had me on the Ski slopes, which is another unique thing as a. As a Mexican skiing at 7 years old, a lot of people don't even see snow.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
No.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
Like, dude, they don't understand that when you're Mexican, the.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
The top tier snow you do is.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
You go to big Bear, go slow.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
Down on a sled.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
I know.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
With the Yanta.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
I know, I know, I know. And I remember growing up, and friends, my friends would be like, I've never seen snow before. And I'm like, what? Like, you never shredded gnar. Yeah, I used to say that. And they're like, no, never shredded nar.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
You know, it's crazy. Not too long ago, I've never. I've seen snow. I've been to snow. You know, your dad or your mom, they take you to. To the mountain.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
My mom.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
But I've never seen snow fall.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
Oh, you never seen a snowflake until.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
Like, six years ago in New York, I saw snow fall.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
Wow.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
So there's a difference between seeing snow and seeing snow fall.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
That's a good point. That's a very good point. It's very magical to see snow fall.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
You know what's crazy about your stepdad.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
Yeah.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
Right.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
Well, at the time.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
At the time is that all those good things that you said about him, that's what your mom liked about him for sure. Right. That he was well rounded. He's probably so different from any other guy.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
Yeah.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
Yeah. Not picky.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
Yeah.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
Likes tomatoes.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
Yeah. And I'm super great. Yeah, I'm super grateful for that because, like, just that experience. I don't know, I got to experience something that I probably never would have if we would have never. My mom would have never.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
And that's awesome that he would include you and Marky and take you guys out to the mountains.
Jessica (Therapist/Comment Reader)
Yeah.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
That's really cool. That's shout out to all the stuff that's doing that too.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
That's a good point. That's a good point. Yeah. So that's why I could. That's why I have the ability to, like, snowboard and ski really well. Just because of him.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
Is that why?
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
And. Yeah, and every time I'm up there, like, I. I think of him. I really do. Like, when I'm up there, like, I.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
Think of him before you go.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
You go before.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
Shout out his name.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
I love you.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
One thing that. That's probably, like, the only thing that you do better than me.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
Well, that's debatable.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
And it kind of. You know what gets me mad? Why not that you're not. Because you're Better than me at that. But one of my favorite movies of all time, Johnny Tsunami growing up is Johnny Tsunami.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
Talk to me.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
And he snowboards.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
He shredsnar.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
And as much as I want to snowboard and I've tried snowboarding, I suck.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
It's. It's. It's. It's hard.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
And I could just never say to people that I can do what Johnny Tsunami does.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
Yeah.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
I suck at snowboarding, bro. Straight up.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
That's okay. That's okay. Because it is. It is different than any other sport. Like it. You can't compare it to surfing. You can't compare it to skateboarding. It's its own thing. So people think that it crosses over. It really doesn't.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
No.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
I will say this. They say. This is an actual thing that they say.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
Statistic.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
Yes. Statistically, snowboarding is harder to learn, easier to master.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
Yeah.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
Skiing is easier to learn, harder to master.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
Yeah.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
So once you get over that hump of, like, that learning curve.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
Yeah.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
You're gonna be, you know, you'd be solid. Yeah.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
I also don't go go enough. I do it like, once a year, so maybe that's why I suck. But some people get it naturally.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
Yeah.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
And I'm the type that, like, I pick up things very naturally, so. But I can't pick that up naturally.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
I recently went to the Bahamas. I went on a little vacation, a little baycation with my girl, and they had the. The wave pool where you get a. Like, surf it. It's like that stationary waist.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
They have those in Cabo.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
Yeah.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
Or in Cancun.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
Yeah. And I was like, kind of like talking to the instructor. I was like, what's, like, the secret here?
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
Like, what do you do?
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
And he was like, giving me pointers. And that is the closest thing I've done to snowboarding because a lot of the weight distribution is on your back foot. And I did, like, amazing for the first time ever, doing it, because I just correlated it with snowboard. That's the closest thing I've ever done to anything else.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
You went on it.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
Yeah, I went on it. I wish. I wish Mo would have taken video, but I was like. She was like all I knew.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
What you say.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
You say she was all impressed, bro. She impress. She's impressed.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
I was like, oh, no, no. She was like, that's cool. Speaking about things that are hard, right? Pause. Alex Honnold, which is a free solo climber, dude, just went to Taiwan. Correct me. Taipei.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
Taipei.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
And climbed the Taipei Tower. How crazy was that, bro? I was in Orlando. I I want to see the statistics on this. I want to know how many people actually viewed that. That was insane. And I even spoke to my wife and I said, or. And I spoke to my dad, too, and my mom, and I was like, yo, there has been nothing like this ever on tv.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
No, it was live. Live. And mind you, let's talk. Let's talk about that. The fact that it was live to me was pretty crazy because there, he did this with no rope, meaning free solo, bro. If he falls, done, he's done. So the fact that they were showing this live, I was like, there has to be some sort of buffer, like a delay, because if he does fall, they're probably going to cut it off. Think about it. There's no way they're going to show this man falling to his death. Of course there's no way.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
And not that.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
What makes it crazier.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
What a crazy thing. I mean, talk about balls of steel.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
Yeah, nice. Balls of steel, dude. This guy is so unique and impressive. Yeah, he's like a rare human.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
Yeah.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
You know, like, we're all, you know, the same in many ways. This guy is so different from all of us, mentally, mentally, physically, emotionally, bro. I think I saw him interview. He's been on a bunch of interviews, obviously promoting this afterwards and stuff like that. His mindset is so different, bro. He was talking about, like, if he were to die. Like, obviously he has a fear of dying. He does. Never wants to die. Right? Like, that's. He's trying to avoid that, but he was talking about that like he has kids. He's like, my kids are at an age right now that if. If I were to die, they wouldn't really be traumatized by it. Like, that's how his mind is. Like, to even just say that out loud, I'm like. I mean, I get what you're saying, but like, damn, dude. Like, that's heavy. Yeah, that's heavy.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
I mean, talk about doing something that you truly, truly love. Yeah. It's one of those things where I've thought about before in my mind, and I said, damn. What. What if I was a free soloist and I would climb mountains and. And the side of, you know, these crazy climbs.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
Have you ever rock climbed before, by the way?
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
I'm. First of all, I'm scared of heights, Okay? I.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
You know, what's another fun fact about me? In college, I took a rock climbing class, so I know how to rock climb really good. Okay.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
Really?
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
This guy right here, he's. He's decent. No. How do you it's insane, dude.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
To be at those elevations, to be so high in. In this. In the air, on the edge of a mountain climbing. He did a Capitan in Yosemite, which is super insane. They were just comparing the tower versus El Cap, they call it, and El Cap is, like, three, four times larger than the actual tower. So, like. Yes. What he did was insane. He's doing it with steel and windows.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
And distractions and people.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
And distractions and. And wind and. And, yeah, distractions. Literally, people are in the building watching him and, like. And, like, shouting to him and. And he's still doing it. Yeah. It's. It's insane what he did. But people who know. People think. I don't know because I haven't asked them, but people think that that was a piece of cake compared to what he actually does.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
Yeah.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
And I kind of believe it.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
I do. And if you see that comparison of, like, the height difference, look at that guy. That guy's like. That's insane.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
Okay. It's like, two times bigger, dude.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
That's insane. You know that one shot. I don't know if you can pull it up so where he's, like, almost at the top, and he's, like. Has his feet, like, caved into this little area, and he's, like, grabbing his chalk and he's just dangling.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
Oh, yeah. I'm like. It's like a. It's like a bat hang. I think they.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
Yeah.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
Yeah.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
It's.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
It's insane. Our hats are off to you. I'm so glad that everything went well. It was an insane experience on tv. National tv. On Netflix.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
Netflix.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
I. I couldn't imagine. We would love to have him on the podcast, so I think this is, like, a great opportunity to spam him.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
Yeah.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
And, like, at Alex, like, yo, like, come on the pod. I have some questions. We have some questions for you. We would love to have you in, like, deep dive and get to know you. I want to know this kind of person.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
This guy. If you guys aren't aware of him, he is so fascinating. So be able to have a conversation with him. It would be so special, so unique. So we would love to have.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
Yeah.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
Him on the pod.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
And if you haven't seen it, he has a documentary that called Free Solo, called Free Solo, which, honestly have you guys. It's remarkable. Extraordinary.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
Oh, this shot right here. That's insane, dude. Now, mind you, this wasn't easy. I'm sorry. Let me. Let me backtrack here. This was something that he's, like, very. Probably very confident In I think that there was a little bit of entertainment aspect where he was like playing it up a little bit. But I think he was very confident he could do this. But he still trained like insanely. And there's videos of him training, doing pull ups. Like gripping the side of a squat bar.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
Yeah. Not the actual.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
Not the bar, like the actual. I don't know, those things are like, they're like hinges. Yeah. You know, and he's just doing hundreds of pull ups. Hundreds and hundreds, like at a time. It's super.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
With ease.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
With ease.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
Yeah. He's insanely strong. And his grip is, is. Is incredible.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
Yeah. I just. What I'm fascinated about, obviously the athletic aspect of this is like mind blowing. But the mental aspect, I think it's even a crazier thing, bro. That's crazy. Like you're flirting with death. When do you ever do that?
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
Never.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
You are thinking you're so far away from death. Like you're like anything but. I almost got into a little fender bender today. I saw my whole life flash before my very eyes. This was climbing mountains.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
And that's what I was. That's what I was trying to talk about earlier is going back to the. I can't imagine being in a situation.
Jessica (Therapist/Comment Reader)
To.
Narrator/Announcer
Come.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
Where you're like, damn, I don't really have anything to grab on to. Anything that I. That I do might be fatal. When you have that, when you're actually going through that. Yeah, you might be. Well, for somebody like himself, he's probably has his emotion. He has emotion, emotional control over what's going on. You have to. But for anybody else, how. Even though you might die at that very second, how alive do you feel knowing that everything that you do right now matters and every single breath that you take might be your last, but at the same time, your next move.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
Might be your last.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
Your last. But you feel so alive.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
Yeah.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
And I think that's the rush that he's chasing. He's chasing that I'm alive right now. Like there's nothing that matters other than me and climbing this rock.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
There's rock climbers, obviously, the traditional way of doing it. They're harnessed right as they're climbing up. They're like mounting these things to re harness, which is still dangerous. Have you ever seen videos where people miss a. They miss a grab or whatever and they like fall and the rope catches them.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
It's still dangerous.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
It's so crazy to me. Even I get freaked out when I see those videos, bro. Like people have died free soloing like, this thing that people do. His favorite climber has died. Free soloing. His favorite climber, his Michael Jordan of climbing died, and he still does it.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
Yeah.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
Like, I want to know that mindset. And you know what? I've heard interviews, I will never fully understand it, because I think even somebody like him doesn't even know how to put it into words.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
Yeah.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
What he's experiencing feeling. Because that's a unique thing, bro.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
And my brother was talking to me about how fast he did it, and I was like, no, he did it in just over an hour. He goes, I think he did it that fast. So if anybody wanted to try to climb it, not only you can climb it, but you have to break his record.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
Oh, got it.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
Yeah. You know, and I'm like, that kind of makes sense.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
You know what that's called? A double whammy.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
Yeah. So, man, Alex, if you're watching this come through, bro, he's probably not watching this. He's gonna watch it. Yeah, he's. He's an incredible human being, bro. Somebody that probably. You talk to him and you leave the room with something stuck with you for life.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
For those of you guys who don't know, because I don't know if we made this clear, because sometimes we. We don't. But this guy is known for free soloing, climbing mountains, like, with no harness. Like, that's what he got really famous for, which is very rare and crazy to do. And the documentary we're talking about, free solo.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
He.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
You see his journey climbing El Capitan, which is in Yosemite.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
Yeah.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
Which I don't think had ever been done solo. He's the first human to do it.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
Is it?
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
Yeah. Wow. Yeah. And that documentary is crazy.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
And.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
Yeah.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
Yeah, I do. Whether the dude's a legend, whether you're scared of heights or not, your palms will sweat dramatically.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
You know, I don't mean to be, like, morbid and stuff like that, but I really, really, really hope, bro, that he doesn't die rock climbing. I don't want. I don't want his story to be like that.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
My question is, like, when do you, like, stop? Because, you know, eventually I hope not, but the possibility is that something drastic or tragic could happen. Could happen. And I'm leaning more towards that.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
I wonder if there's a stat like, what are the chances of him of dying climbing El Capitan?
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
Because normally, what is that?
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
What was that chance?
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
Yeah.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
You know what I mean?
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
Because normally, sometimes it doesn't even happen because of a mistake you made. Probably would yeah, but it's weather conditions. They ask them a question about what happens if he puts his hand inside. And remember, he doesn't have any ropes. What happens if he puts his hand inside a rock and there's a scorpion that bites him? Or a snake.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
Oh, yeah.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
A bird.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
Yeah.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
He says nothing. You have to take it. And then imagine getting bit by an alacran. Right. And you're climbing. How alive do you feel? Like, holy, what do I do? Like, that's insane, bro.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
Like, you can't panic.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
I wonder if there's something you can take to just feel that alive.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
Do you think somebody like him has one emotion? Like, you can't dabble in other emotions. You got to just be stuck in one in order to be able to be.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
Yeah.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
Like that throughout any situation.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
Yeah. I don't know.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
Calm and collective. He's.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
He's probably one of the only humans in this planet that. That can control his emotions to that degree.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
We all can.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
Sure. But to that degree.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
Yeah. Does it say, Jess, is there any kind of stat? No, there probably isn't.
Jessica (Therapist/Comment Reader)
Huh? Not no stats, but. Excuse me. It carries an inherent risk due to El Capitan's 3,000 foot drop, his meticulous, meticulous preparation. Apparently he rehearsed all the moves for nine years, so he reduced the actual risk to an incredibly low level. Despite high perceived danger, the risk was calculated and managed as he showed in the successful 2017 climb.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
Dude, how badass is that? Like the dedication for nine years to memorize every move as he's climbing up that mountain. Every move. He knew it for nine years, repetition after repetition. Like, that's. You know what they say? Like, it's like that. The work that nobody sees. It's like how you receive the glory when, like, everybody's watching or something along those lines, you know? Like, bro, nine hours for us just to watch him and just be like, damn.
Editor/Producer
Yeah.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
Like, damn, that feels sick.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
He's an incredible.
Editor/Producer
His words when he got to the top.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
Oh, yeah. He's, like, sick.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
He's an incredible human being, bro, honestly. And I think that's why he's able to do such extraordinary things like that. So big applause to you, bro.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
Yeah, man.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
Yeah.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
There is a. There's very few people that walk this earth that have that kind of mindset and have that kind of life that they get to experience.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
Yeah. Yeah, bro.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
Talk about, like, as humans, where we grow is when we step out of our comfort zone.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
Yeah.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
When we get. We go through that other side, we go through that, bro. This dude is doing it on a level that we can't even comprehend, bro. I'm talking about life and death. For us, it's like a little bit of fright of what people might think about us. For him is his life.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
Yeah.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
That's crazy, bro.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
Imagine how alive you feel.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
No, you're right.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
I'm serious. Yeah. Like, what does that rush feel like?
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
Well, you've, like, chased adrenaline before, right?
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
That has to be different, bro.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
No, for sure, but you get a glimpse of it, like skydiving. Weren't you nervous?
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
A little bit.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
And then once you, like, jump, like. Or whatever, Whatever. Like when you're, like, going really fast and your in your car or like, I don't know, like, have you ever felt.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Adrenaline? Yes, of course. Yes, I felt it. It's great.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
But no, I. I'm not. I'm not disagreeing with no.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
But yeah, I felt it. But I can't imagine to that degree where it's either I'm doing this or I'm about to die. How does that feel?
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
Yeah.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
This is me as a rock climber.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
You got to open up your stance a little bit more.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
Okay. Yeah. It's insane, man.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
So let's go rock climbing. Let's go rock climbing.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
I'm scared of heights.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
Like an indoor one.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
Like, bro, you know how.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
Bro, you can't.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
I have to tell my wife every year that I can't put Christmas trees on our house because I'm scared of. I'm scared of heights, man. Do you know how that feels? When's the last time, as a man that I can't put Christmas tree lights?
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
When's the last time you were genuinely.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
Christmas lights on my own house?
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
Scared of a height. Like, when. When did you push yourself to be like, wow, I'm like, okay, I'm scared right now.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
Well, I remember I was like in 9th grade and my dad forced me up the roof.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
Okay.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
That's when the last time I said this.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
This is perfect. So we're talking about something you experience, a fear you develop when you were at such a young age.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
Yes.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
Like, have we ever tried potentially conquering that fear at the age that you are now? Because maybe you're mentally stronger now. Maybe you're not afraid of fights. Maybe you just are stuck.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
Yeah, I am mentally stronger.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
All right.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
Now I can say no a lot easier. Yeah. So, yeah, I am mentally stronger, but, bro, I have to hire somebody to do it. I. I'm scared shitless on a plane. Big chilling.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
I don't Know why fear is in the mind, bro?
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
Obviously not to you. Nah, it's different when you're, like, standing on a roof or at a high. You know, like when you go to the top of the rock in New York. You know what I mean? And you're like this, and you're like.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
No, I get it, bro. Like, for me, like, my.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
It's a phobia.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
My phobia is snakes. I don't like snakes. Really? I don't like snakes. Like, even just thinking about it right now. Oh, my God. Yeah. Wake it up, people.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
If I brought a snake, wouldn't hold it. You wouldn't hold this snake.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
I'll hold the snake, man.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
You can hold the snake?
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
I'll hold the snake, man.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
Come on. You've held thousands of snakes.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
Yeah, but they're slimy, bro. And girthy and long, dangerous.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
Yeah, that. My phobia is supposedly, like, when you're born with a phobia, it has to do something with your past life. Yeah. So either that or you were in the movie Anaconda.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
No. What if I was Indiana Jones in my past life? He doesn't like snakes.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
That's true.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
He hates snakes.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
And then I'd be a little Asian kid.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
Yeah. Mr. Jones. Dr. Jones. Like Mickey Mouse. Dr. Jones.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
Such a good movie.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
Such a good movie. That's a good movie.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
Yeah. Yeah. What's up, dude?
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
Listen, I can chat with you all day, but I'm trying to get into these segments that Jess has planned for us. We're gonna be. Oh, we're gonna be hearing from the comments. I want to do this more often because I feel like we don't get to do this often. Wait, so what.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
What's. What's the segment? So people are writing down comments that we should read. Are they talking about us?
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
They're talking.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
I like when people talk about me.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
All right, let's see it. Let's see it.
Jessica (Therapist/Comment Reader)
There's a good mix in the bunch.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
Some shit talking.
Jessica (Therapist/Comment Reader)
There's a good.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
You know, Jeff. Oh, Jesuit.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
You know that feeling when you were talking about, like, you would feel alive? That was Jesse and said, oh, it's a lot.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
Jess loves this.
Jessica (Therapist/Comment Reader)
This first one is from Michelle Angiano, I think.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
All right.
Jessica (Therapist/Comment Reader)
She said, I'm about to give birth.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
But I have an hour before pushing away. This is true.
Jessica (Therapist/Comment Reader)
And she was watching.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
Yo, are you just. Is this normal when you're just chilling, about to give birth? Like, are you ob. You're just living your life? Like, you're just.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
Yeah.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
Chilling. Watching L.P. yeah.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
And then some hospitals have like a little TV and you can put whatever you want. Chit chatting and bro, like, all TVs right now are all smart TVs. So you just throw on that YouTube app. You know what I mean?
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
Wow.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
Might not be premium.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
Well, Michelle, first of all, I'm assuming this was two days ago, so the baby's.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
Congratulations.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
Congratulations.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
We hope you had a healthy labor.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
Yeah, yeah. Healthy labor. Healthy delivery. Delivery and healthy baby. 10 toes, 10 fingers. And thank you for the support and shout out to damn to you, bro.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
Imagine like, we made her laugh, but.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
A little too hard and she.
Editor/Producer
So you guys, the Padrinos now.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
Wow. Super down.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
Yeah, I'm down.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
Yeah.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
I just suck at giving out. Domingos.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
First of all, great comment. If that's real crazy, bruh.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
Crazy.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
Because it's one thing to watch, it's another thing to also drop a comment, you know?
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
Dang.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
You know what I mean? Like, that's that extra step.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
Yeah. But I think. I think girls be chilling. Some girls say, like, yeah, I'm chilling until like, the doctor comes and then, boom, Everything starts to happen. Right.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
There's no. Probably not no pain unless she's on some sort of epidural.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
Epidural.
Jessica (Therapist/Comment Reader)
But yeah. Yeah, I mean, everybody's different. I don't know.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
I have a question because I've never looked at this before. And just since this is the perfect opportunity, apparently the needle of the epidural pen is like insanely big. Can you show me that? Because I've always heard this. I never have actually seen this.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
Yeah.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
So I'm very curious because they say.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
It'S like this big, right?
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
Dude, I don't know why. I'm like, kind of like I feel everything right now.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
But where does it go if it's that big? Okay.
Jessica (Therapist/Comment Reader)
Into your spine.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
Holy. It is big.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
That's huge.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
Holy. That's huge. Pause.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
And now wait.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
It hits the bone of the spine.
Jessica (Therapist/Comment Reader)
Oh, just between the bone.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
Go.
Jessica (Therapist/Comment Reader)
Hit the nerve, dude.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
How does. What. How's that aim look? Does it. The needle have to kind of bend a bit?
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
Stop, dude.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
Hey, doesn't the needle have to kind of bend a bit?
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
Bit? Oh, my God. Dude, no.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
Bend a bit. No.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
I don't know, bro.
Editor/Producer
I don't know.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
Oh, my gosh. Dude.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
Back. Bro. It. It literally paralyzes your feelings from the what? From giving the base down?
Jessica (Therapist/Comment Reader)
Yeah.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
Yeah.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
Oh, Lord. All right.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
I don't know. Wow.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
For that, can I say something? Women are super superhuman.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
Yeah.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
Oh, my God.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
I totally agree.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
I would I could never do that. Never.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
Dude, that's insane. And what's crazy is people give birth, like, naturally, right through their vagina.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
I think so, yeah.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
Is that correct? Just. Can you look that up? But then people do C sections where they literally get cut up. Like, my mom. Double C section. Me and chubs are a C sectioned.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
But you could do epidural. Epidural for both?
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
Yes. Yes, for both.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
I believe so. Epidural is just for pain.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
Just for the pain.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
Okay. It's not. It's not because you're about to do C section.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
I don't. I don't think. I don't know, bro. I don't know.
Jessica (Therapist/Comment Reader)
No, because if you're. It's just pain, like natural birth, then you. Some people get the epidural.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
Okay. Damn.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
Birth is such a ise going if you don't.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
If seguna so quest. All right. Like, yeah, it costs a lot of money to get an epidural shot.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
Giving birth is expensive.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
Jessica, can we Google how much it is for epidural shot? Obviously, like, insurance covers probably most of it, but it's a cost, right?
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
100. This is. This is considered modern medicine.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
The cost of an epidural varies significantly, ranging from a few hundred dollars. I wouldn't want an epidural shot. That's only 100 bucks.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
No, no.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
To 4,000.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
How much is it? 100 bucks? Yeah, 100 bucks.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
How much is it for? Girl, I don't know. For pain, probably 100 bucks.
Jessica (Therapist/Comment Reader)
For pain relief injections, expect a hundred to 1500. While a labor epidural can be a thousand to 8000 before insurance with significant out of pocket costs, even with insurance of deductibles.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
Bro, why is this so expensive?
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
What's. It's. It's. What do you mean?
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
It's just crazy. Like, I just. It just. It just seems crazy to, like, we have access to this kind of medication and. Yeah, they're just making a ton of money off of this.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
Well, that's why they. They invested a lot of research to do it so they can get that money back.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
I get it. I get it.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
You know what I mean? Like, it's sad that we don't live in a world where we just. Well, there are some countries that do just help you.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
Yeah.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
As you should.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
Like, free health care.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
But we live in. In a world where everything has to Esplanco mania. You feel me? So, like, yeah, it's good that we have that. But it's like now, you know, I scratch your. But you Scratch mine type.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
Yeah.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
But that's why there's a lot of countries that's like. Like free Medicare, free this, free that. It's awesome.
Jessica (Therapist/Comment Reader)
Tend to be a little bit higher. So you're still paying for them. And. But you do benefit from the services, right? Which, like, I mean, we're here, we are paying taxes, and half the time we don't know where that money's going.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
And if it's actually half the time, all the time. Actually, I have no idea where that goes.
Editor/Producer
Daycare in Somalia.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
That guy buying Ferraris. And that's insane. Yeah. So. But no, I mean, that is a great breakthrough science thing that happened.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
Yeah.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
Medical thing that happened.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
Modern medicine.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
Modern medicine. Like, that's amazing that they invented that. I mean, they're not. It's not just that. There's so many other pain.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
Oh, my God. Sorry. This is like, kind of going off topic, but it's kind of on that realm. And please move on super quick from it. You know who Brian Johnson is? He's somebody else that I've been wanting to have on the podcast. He's this guy. It's a don't die guy.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
Oh, yeah. And he's.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
He's developed his whole life into researching how to, like, live forever.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
Yeah, he, like, transfuses. Transfuses, bro. He does some crazy son to himself.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
Some crazy. He sold a company. I want to say it was like PayPal, one of those huge companies. Huge companies. And he got. He sold it for like, billion dollars. So he devoted all his money, all his money to this research. To live forever. Right. Anyways, he was just on the Nelk Boys podcast and I saw like a clip where he's talking about. They're asking him about the neural chip, the brain thing that helps you, whatever. Well, the. We talked about a little bit. Not to go too into it, but he's taught. He says that. And I'm misquoting this, but I think you'd find this so fascinating. He's talking about, like, the neuro chip is like the extreme version of like that conversation. Right. Like, that's the ultimate. He's like. But we're already tapping into that. And it's not. It's not a scene in that same light. For example, peptides are essentially that they're sending signals to your brain to not be hungry. So we're like. Right there, like, they're like. We're basically doing neural chips already. It's just not that, like, that's the ultimate. He's like. But those kind of advancements are going to get insanely crazy.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
Of course.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
Like, we're going to be able to inject, pill or injection. That's going to cut off the thing that like creates cancer.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
Yeah.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
And it's not going to be a chip. It's just going to be like a thing that just shuts that off.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
Yeah.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
Shuts that part of your body off.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
Where that we're that kind of like into medicine where it's like we have that power now. You know, peptides is so popular at the moment and it's been such a craze this year and last year. They've been around for a while. We create natural peptides ourselves. I can't imagine in five years it's going to be like taking vitamins.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
So we don't create natural peptides. We create natural amino acids on our bodies first for four specific things. Each specific peptides ignites that thing to. To send a signal to your brain to what to do whatever you're asking it to do. Produce more collagen. Don't be hungry.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
Yeah.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
Build muscle.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
Imagine what that's going to do to humanity. It's gonna make five, 10 years.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
Yeah.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
I mean, obesity already, I believe, like, it has to. Has already probably dropped since the whole craze of GLP1 and stuff like that. It has to.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
Yeah.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
You know, I can't imagine five, ten years from now how like how that affects humanity and human genetics.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
He said a quote Brian Johnson I where he was like, by 2030, something, 2032, that we'll have all that figured out. We'll be able to live forever. Like he. There's like a year that he's like, if I can get to this year, we'll have it all calculated. What does he say?
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
Kind of crazy, bro. And like, I kind of.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
Oh, yeah. However, his primary major goal is immortality.
Narrator/Announcer
By 2039, El Programa Nacional de Vegas asserto McDonald's to the antes.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
Bro. By 2039, he's like, we'll figure it out.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
Out.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
We'll have it figured out.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
Imagine the way that you live your life knowing and wanting to be immortal. Like, how do you live your life and walk around knowing that I'm gonna be immortal?
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
So he. What do you think? He talks about that? He talks about how we're just like, that's how we're programmed to know that we have an expiration date. But there's like a whole different thought process. That's what I'm saying, of just knowing that.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
What's that thought process?
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
Yeah, we'd have to get him on the podcast because I would love to ask him that question, too.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
You cool? I guess we're flipping this. No, it's insane.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
I love talking about something like that. And mind you, this is a guy who spent millions of dollars researching his whole body and this philosophy. Like, yeah, like, he. He's like, right now, I'm the outcast. He's like, by 2039, like, this is going to be the norm. Like, people are gonna have expectations to live to, like, 250, whatever.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
I mean, every single year, wellness and health becomes so much more popularized.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
Yeah, bro.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
I was in Vegas yesterday, Sin City. It ain't Vegas like it used to be. They had a Symbiotica wellness bar, which was sick.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
They did. That's kind of sick.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
Yes, they had a Symbiotica. That's how you say it, right?
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
Symbiotica.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
Yeah. Wellness bar at the fountain. Azu Blue, bro. It was sick, bro. Everything is about wellness now. And, like, that's cool there, that. That humans are going in that track. That's awesome. Yeah, it's cool to, like, dabble it with spirits, but you know what I mean? Like, people are, like, really into health, and, like, people know that. And once again, how can we make money off health if we just create more health activities and wellness programs and medicines that make you healthier?
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
Next comment. You're right, though, bro.
Jessica (Therapist/Comment Reader)
This one's from Yasmine. The intros give Mujer edition, yo.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
That's also right.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
Yeah. This dude's a brilliant mastermind behind the. I wish that I want to watch him edit one of those intros for us, bro.
Editor/Producer
That's my favorite. They're so fun to edit.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
Yeah.
Editor/Producer
I'm just, like, looking for, like, the funniest things.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
Yeah. When I first saw you edit one of those, obviously you did a great job, but the first thing I thought was, like, yeah, you had a good childhood. You had a childhood just like mine, brother. You know, it's like you kind of relate to that, so it's like. It's like. It's dope, bro. Yeah.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
No, you do. Are you, like, as you're editing, you're just marking moments that could potentially be for them?
Editor/Producer
Yeah, I mark them right now.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
Yeah, bro. I get intrigued. I'm, like, watching. I'm like, we said that.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
Yeah. So I was just dialed. Dial, bro.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
That's a good comment. Thank you guys for enjoying. Hopefully you guys have enjoyed those intros.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
Little.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
What are they called?
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
Teasers.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
Teasers. Teaser. Intro, teasers.
Jessica (Therapist/Comment Reader)
Next one. I Don't have a name for it.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
I don't know.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
It's talker. I could feel it.
Jessica (Therapist/Comment Reader)
They're calling you guys out. A little.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
What's up?
Jessica (Therapist/Comment Reader)
It's a little contradicting to say a guy can tell a girl she can't be friends with a guy based on a feeling. But a girl can't tell a guy to not be friends with a toxic friend without receipts.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
Did we say that or they said I say that? Because I don't remember saying that. Okay.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
I don't even remember what we said.
Jessica (Therapist/Comment Reader)
So it was this one girl, right? So she's like, my boyfriend has a toxic friend. Would it be toxic of me to tell him to stop being friends with that friend?
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
So basically we didn't touch on the other way around.
Jessica (Therapist/Comment Reader)
But. But that did come up in. Because even Saur clipped it, right? Like that was a moment that was posted as a social clip and it was Saba saying like, oh, when I meet someone, I could tell. Yes, exactly. But there's no proof. There's no nothing. Right. So you're kind of going on a hunch. But then if a girl has proof and she like, then it's a talk.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
Like, you know what I mean? No, no, there's no double standard.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
No, there's no double standard.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
There's no double standard here. Whoever has the hunch, well, they got the hunch, dude.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
Yeah. Trust me.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
Yeah. Just because I even think like you have that special ability, which is pretty sick. But women's intuition is on another level. I've talked about this. Yeah, dude, women intuition scares the out of me. I grew up with. My mom would call some out and.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
I'm like, they got, they got real guts feelings, bro. Yeah, bro, I know. No, but trust me. Array 668. I. I agree. Like, no, it's, it's not double. It's not. I'm not double sided.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
Just like guys know guys, girls know girls.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
Yeah. And that's why every time we talk about stuff like that we always say vice versa. Like, you know what I mean? Like guys and girls.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
Cuz we didn't say that right. Did we say like it doesn't work for the girls?
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
Yeah, we didn't say that. We would never say.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
But okay, but to her point, maybe she's not saying we said that, but we're not trying.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
Maybe she's saying like in a general.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
Yeah, yeah, we're not. We definitely agree that it. There's no double standard here. Or there is. She's probably saying there is a Double standard here. There's no double standard.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
No, there's no double standard.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
Double, double standard.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
There's no double. There's, there's no double, double, double, double standard.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
No cheese.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
Yeah, but a girl can't tell a guy to not be friends with a toxic friend without receipt.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. If you have a hunch now. Okay, here's where it gets interesting. You. Oh, man. Like if you have a hunch about a guy, bro, that your friend, your girl is friends with and you have no proof. Can you look at me when I talk to you?
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
I was really trying to analyze this sentence. I know because it's one long sentence. There's no commas or periods. So it's like it started me off, but I know what she meant.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
Okay, listen, if you have no proof, you're just going off your hunch. Your, your special gift that God has gifted you with of knowing.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
Right.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
There's not. You can't just tell your girl. I, you can't be friends with him because you don't have proof. I do agree with that. Right. Like that that's where you can get a little toxic. There needs to be some sort of receipt. No, there needs to be something that happens specifically. You can't just go on a whim. Be like, I saw the way he, like he's looking his eye. I don't think you should be friends with him.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
Yeah, I don't trust. I wouldn't say.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
But I think you can position in a way of like, I got. I did get a little bit of a weird feeling. I, I, you know, I know that he's your best friend or friend or whatever, but I'm not sold on him yet.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
Yeah. And mind you, what I said was I'm not telling. I remember when I said that I have a good like, intuition with, with other guys.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
Right.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
I know exactly who you are. Now. I will come back to you and I will tell you what I think, but I'm not going to tell you. And I said this. I'm not going to tell you not to be his friend.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
He's going to tell you how you feel.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
I'm going to tell you how I feel. And since you're the one that likes me or loves me, you're gonna go on through whatever decision you're gonna make, right?
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
Yeah.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
But I'll never tell you not to hang out with them.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
Right? I think.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
But it goes either both ways. And I'm not gonna say something so, like, dumb like, oh, I didn't like that because, like, he's flirty with those girls or because he's hot. No, those are dumb. I will give you a real explanation. Yeah, but it goes both ways, guys and girls. Because remember I said, I said, I said I was like, I'm not gonna tell you what to do. I'm not somebody to tell you. Yeah. Don't be friends with them. That's unless there's crazy. Right. Unless some crazy. Then maybe I'll tell you. Like, you know, that. That's some proof. But I, I no, like, if you have receipts. Yeah, I'll say it. I'll say it. I'll say it. I was like, you do whatever you want with that information.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
It goes both ways.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
Yeah. And it goes both ways.
Editor/Producer
Yeah.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
I'm not, we're not being the. We're not being double one sided. One sided.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
Yeah. Double double standard.
Jessica (Therapist/Comment Reader)
All right. I think this one is anonymous again. Sometimes I can't tell from your username. My friends with benefits was my friends with benefits for over a year until one day he asked me, what are we doing? Lol. Long story short, we're now married, have a home and kids.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
I love that. I love that.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
Maybe it was a question that needed to be asked.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
Yeah. And I think we were talking about that the other day. Yeah. We're like, if the conversation comes, it's natural human instinct to start having feelings and talk about it. I mean, you already haven't, you know, making love with each other. What's what, you know, that's already like the most extraordinary thing you can do. What's a conversation you don't know what's going to happen after.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
I don't know if there's rules to this, and there's definitely not, but I think it's fascinating to like, talk about, like, timeline of friends with benefits. Like, can that last a year? Friends with benefits for over a year. I mean, obviously it can, but man, you're playing with fire at that point. Like, you guys have been friends with benefits for a year and none of you guys have feelings for each other. It's kind of interesting.
Jessica (Therapist/Comment Reader)
They might be like on and on, you know what I mean?
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
Or like, but then that's not friends with benefits.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
Yeah, then that's not friends with benefits.
Jessica (Therapist/Comment Reader)
No, no. I'm saying they might be dating outside of that dynamic, you know, and that's what kind of keeps it like, you know, they're satisfying those needs.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
And then over a year, hey, damn. No, I mean, you're right, you're right. You're Right. You right. You're right.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
You're right. Yeah.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
That's just crazy.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
Yeah.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
Because.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
Yeah, I can do that.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
And I don't mean to sound like that guy, but, like. Like, sex is, like, a very special, intimate thing, and you're sharing that with somebody, and I get it. Some people just don't view it like that. It's just more like in passing. Right. But, like, damn, be intimate with somebody for a year and I develop feelings, like. Yeah, I don't understand that fully. I'm just being honest. I just. I don't get that.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
Like, what are the conversations after sex, bro.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
Yeah. But for a year, I'm like, dude, you know this person now. You know this person. You should.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
Yeah.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
Like, you know. You know, well, for a year.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
And that's why they got married. Like, I mean, I'll be making love to you for a year. I mean, we haven't really fought. I think it'll work.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
Yeah.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
Kids later.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
Yeah. Dipping and dipping. This worked out.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
Cool story.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
I mean, I like that.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
Maybe. Maybe people. Maybe more people that are single should just have friends with benefits for a couple years.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
I like how he took it.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
Seems like it works out. Yeah.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
What are we doing? Is. Is kind of hot, too. What are we doing? Like, what are we doing that's kind of hot?
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
Should we talk about it after we have sex?
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
Yeah. In the middle of it.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
In the middle of it. Yeah. Yeah.
Editor/Producer
Can your home girl be, like, a friends with benefits? Like, you guys are just like.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
Well, I feel like it's so different with a guy, you know? Because a guy can't say, hey, you're just my friends with benefits type thing. You know what I mean? Like, it's kind of like, you got to show some respect.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
So you're saying, like, two different categories, like a friends with benefits or your homegirl. Can they.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
With.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
Can they be both?
Editor/Producer
Yeah, like, can you. Like. Because there's a friends with benefits who you just hit up to, like, sleep around with.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
Sure.
Editor/Producer
But then there's, like, a homegirl. You know, you invite her. You invite her to your parties. You'll invite. You'll see her here and there.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
Yeah.
Editor/Producer
But, you know, at the end of the night, you're probably gonna sleep. But that's it.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
I mean, that's. That's a frame with benefits. No.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
Yeah, but it's like, you're still, like, hitting her up for, like, emotional stuff, right? Maybe get some advice. Like, home, homegirl.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
Right.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
I guess.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
Some homegirl.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
Yeah. Yeah.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
Yeah. Yeah.
Editor/Producer
Maybe y'.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
All.
Editor/Producer
Both of y'. All not ready for a relationship.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
I think you could be both. I think you could be both. But it's. It's not the same. It's not pure friendship anymore. It ruins the purity of the friendship. You get me?
Editor/Producer
Or maybe you're just leading her on.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
Damn, bro, you got something to say?
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
Let me go back down here. Yeah, yeah, yeah. She's. If she's your homegirl, that means that she. She got, like, a little different love for you, right?
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
And now if you're sleeping with her, it changes the purity of it. That's what I'm saying.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
Kind of, like different now.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
It's like, yeah, it's not the same anymore. Yeah, you've kind of crossed a different line.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
That's like, I, I. Technically, I feel like you do lead. Lead her on.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
Especially if it's frequently, like, if it. Maybe you guys are friends and you guys were drunk one day and it kind of happened, and you guys have never, you know, kind of let that be moved on. But if it's like a frequent thing, it's different. Changes the whole dynamic. Yeah.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
100. Congratulations, dude.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
That's amazing. What are we doing?
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
Huh?
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
Just ask. Naked. What are we doing? What are we doing?
Jessica (Therapist/Comment Reader)
This one is from Maria Ortiz.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
Oh, therapist here.
Jessica (Therapist/Comment Reader)
Therapist. I also noticed Josh's responses during this episode. A lot of people were mentioning Josh how you kind of seemed like. Seemed a little off for whatever reason. And you know what? That's so funny because you brought it up. I did. As soon as we stopped recording, I was like, hey, are you okay?
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Jessica (Therapist/Comment Reader)
Anyway, so Therapist also noticed Josh's responses during this episode. It appeared a bit dissociative, but that could have just been. That could just be because he was thinking deeply, avoiding completely or having an off day. Regardless, I think it's sweet to read other people caught this because it means we're attuned to our host.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
That's very.
Jessica (Therapist/Comment Reader)
Love la platica. And we.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
You the best.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
I'm gonna get emotional. That's beautiful. I appreciate you guys, like, looking out for me like that and just catching those little things. It feels like you guys know me. That's what's the beautiful part about this podcast. You're vulnerable and you're honest, and you're having conversations for three years in a row weekly. People get to see inside your heart.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
Right.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
I don't think that I was necessarily disconnected. Maybe it. I don't know. I. Oh, man. We can get deep into this. I think that I do want to be careful on the things that I say, I think that if Sevas is, like, handling one of those moments, and I, you know, I might agree with what he's saying. I'll just kind of let him have the floor. I don't need to, like, always give my input. And I think maybe in that episode, I was just allowing Savas to. To speak freely and not feel like I need to interrupt or give him my two cents all the time. You know, there are things that, like, maybe I just kind of keep to myself that I don't want to maybe share for various reasons. But that specific episode, I remember just being like, sebas is killing it. He's doing an amazing job. He's talking about it. I, you know, and that is what it is. And I. I know we've. We've done. That was like our second one doing back to back. I think also as a. As a podcast co host, I was. I wanted to get through them, you know, and I wanted, like, to not just get stuck on one and, you know, but I appreciate you guys catching that, and I think that's very sweet. And this is why. This is why I love this community that we've built, man.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
Isn't it crazy how they'll catch that because they know you so well?
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
Like, damn. Joshua's being a.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
This episode.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
Quiet. Yeah, that's what. That's really what it was. You're just being a quiet little. Huh?
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
Probably what it was.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
No, I get that, though.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
Yeah. Yeah. It was just one of those moments.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
I have that all the time, too.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
Yeah, I think. I think that's normal, right?
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
Yeah. Especially when we're talking about some serious things, dude.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
And I think people notice it more, too, when we are talking about serious things, because normally we're talking about, like, just funny and like, just like, comedic. Yeah.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
Very good observation, though. She wasn't wrong. She wasn't even.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
Just noticed.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
Yeah. And I'll tell you guys this, inside just kind of mentioned it right now. She said after that episode, I'm not even joking. She was walking towards the camera and she looked at me dead in the eyes. No, she's like, josh, are you okay? You seem like you were kind of checked out towards the end. She did say that. I remember.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
Yeah.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
And I was like, no, no, not at all. I was having. Just letting it be. Yeah, I was letting it be, but I was also processing things that were like, like, you know, questions that were being asked and stuff.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
Yeah, you're having, like, life flashing behind you. Yeah, yeah.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
No, but A lot of these questions. We've talked about this, and I think I said it at the end of the camera. I'm like, yo, people are going through. People are going through a lot of stuff.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
Yeah.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
And I just feel for people, man. And sometimes we. Hopefully we can help. Sometimes we don't have the answer. Sometimes we're just giving our own perspective, but, you know, or sometimes we're just kind of, like, listening, taking it in. And I guess that's what I was doing. And you did an amazing job that episode, by the way. I think you're very. But you were very, like. You were giving, like, some really good stuff. So I was just kind of, like, letting that be. I was like, got a lot to say.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
Hopefully I did.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
You didn't. Guys. I hope you guys enjoyed this episode. Hopefully I wasn't as disconnected this time around, but you guys paying attention. Just reiterating what I said. That really means a lot to me. Like I said, I've been on the Internet for a very long time. I've never opened up the way I have on La Platica for these past three years. And just knowing that you guys care, are in tune with us says a lot. So thank you, guys. I love you. That I really do. You guys have a huge place in my heart. We have potential, and I don't want to overhype this because, no, you can't.
Host 1 (Possibly Josh)
Say they're guaranteed because they're not. They're that big. They're not guaranteed.
Host 2 (Possibly Marky)
This could be one of the biggest people we've ever had on La Platica, personality wise, career wise. This person is a legend in the space, in.
