A
So appreciate you guys. Love you. And we'll see you guys in 12.4 segundos. I'm going to use it.
C
Let me be honest.
B
Every guest is a privilege.
A
Do we want to go there?
B
Get jolly. Cuz I'm on a podcast with Josh Laver. Hell yeah. You have too.
A
Ladies and gentlemen, let me just tell.
C
You.
A
Bro, turn me down, please.
B
Fool.
A
Jeez, you just scared the out of me.
B
How about now? That's better.
A
Thank God. What's up with those headphones? Why were they like that?
B
The youth dog. I'm a podcaster. I'm a podcaster. That's what I'm gonna leave behind in 2026. 25. What's. Is it 6 or 25?
A
Should we introduce Saul? I mean, I think it makes sense.
B
Oh, my God. Yeah, of course.
A
Yeah.
B
Yeah.
A
So cut this out. I gotta, like, train myself to say that.
B
Yeah, he'll get his nickname soon. Yeah. Are we waiting for the slate or we're not slating?
A
No, we gotta say, this year, 2026, we slayed even more harder.
C
This is the first episode of 2026.
B
Wow.
A
Let her finish her sleigh, bro.
C
It's okay. I kind of.
A
Damn, bro.
B
Yeah.
A
She anticipated you cutting her off and being rude.
B
My bad. I'm already starting off the year. Horrible.
A
Well, no surprise there. New year, newest of us. Nah, same piece of man.
B
First of all, congratulations to the whole world. For us, for making it, you know, To the next year.
A
We here, baby.
B
We here, baby.
A
I know, but in real talk, though, what a blessing to, like.
B
We circled the earth. We. We rotated the earth. 360. How many days?
A
365. How many weeks?
B
That. That. I don't.
A
Come on.
B
That. I don't know.
A
I'll give you multiple choice. Okay, ready? How many weeks are in a year? 63, 52, or 85.
B
Say it again. But do the. The. The. Do you want to be a millionaire song, dude.
A
Mr. Sevas.
B
No, it's when the lights go down. Make sure we put that on the video.
A
Okay, so what's. What's the answer?
B
Say the thing again.
A
Okay. How many weeks are in it here?
B
Okay. A.
A
A 62.
B
All right. Okay.
A
B, 82.
B
Okay.
A
Or C 52.
B
What about D? There has to be a D. There's no D. All of the above.
A
Yeah. D. Okay. Idiot.
B
I'm so good at reading people. That the right answer? Because this one, you didn't even, like, stutter. The right answer is a 62.
A
Final answer.
B
Final answer.
A
Jess, that is incorrect, you idiot.
B
Damn.
A
Getting stupider by the year.
C
He messed up. He messed up the other two numbers.
A
And I thought that's how he was gonna get it. I was like, damn, you're gonna crack the code. I was like, wow, you actually took me for surprise.
B
Yeah, I know. I guess I'm dumb. So how Many is it?
A
52.
B
52 weeks.
A
52 weeks or in a year?
B
In a year.
A
That means we shoot 52 episodes per year. Are we hitting 300 episodes this year? We are not.
C
We are not.
A
Or 20? 27.
B
Isn't that crazy? Like, we are not. Like, who made that rule up? If I want to hit him, let's hit him.
A
I mean, technically, we can if we're posting, like.
B
Yeah, if we wanted to. Yeah.
A
But according to our la Platica schedule.
C
As it currently stands.
B
Yeah, as it currently stands, I guess. But maybe we should, like, switch that up. Maybe. Like. Like, what do we have to do to hit 300 this year? Like, I mean, we're not that far off. We would barely hit it by, like, the beginning of next year. Right. Because we're at 250 right now.
A
No, not.
C
Bro.
A
We're like.
B
We're at 225. 225, 220. No, we just hit 225.
A
We don't even have to film two episodes a week to hit it. No, we can film like, three episodes extra a month and we'll hit it.
B
Yeah, you can do like a. A twelve Days of Potamus. Whoa, whoa.
A
Dude, that's actually not a bad idea.
B
That's not until the day comes and.
A
We do it and then we're like.
B
And then we're like, why are we.
A
Doing this again.
B
Guys? Happy New Year, man. Ladies and gentlemen, Happy New Year. We have so much in store for you guys this year. I think what an amazing blessing to have you guys throughout every single year. Los queremos mucho. We love you guys and we hope that we can still fulfill happiness in your guys's corazons.
A
Yes. To piggyback off of Sevas. What a. What a quote. I'm piggybacking off of you.
B
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
A
So I'm very excited for this year, man. I want to thank everybody who's been rocking with us since the beginning of La platica headed into 2026. We're very excited for what's to come in La Platica. We're still as passionate, as excited, as motivated to film even more. So we've even added new members to our team who are. Are going to hopefully help us take this to another level and create more incredible episodes for you guys and just continue to elevate every single year. So without further ado, please help us welcome our new member of LA yes.
B
Four.
A
How we doing? Packing in camera four.
B
So we appreciate you being here, man. Obviously, you guys might know him from his own podcast.
A
Yep.
B
You know the podcast. Say it out loud, brother.
A
Best friends. Oh, it's not best. I knew you forgot, bro. I knew you was lying. I knew you was lying.
B
You know, Cut. Cut that out. I said that because he was a part of I Am Besties for.
A
Yeah, he was. He was.
B
That's why. That's fucked up. Yeah, I am friends, obviously, we've been on that podcast for a while ago. We remember he shocked our asses with fucking dog collar.
A
That was. That was. That was painful.
B
Yeah, that was fun. We should do that again.
A
Of course, Naked producer, who happens to be our friend, is still rocking with La Platica A day one er.
B
A day one er.
A
Jessica, it's me.
B
Yeah, yeah. Jessica is still here. Of course. We love you. Jessica, thank you so much for everything you've done pri in these prior years. And also with that being said, obviously Saul is here now helping us. You guys might be wondering what happened to Benaki, right?
A
Matt, don't you dare take my joke. Don't you dare take.
B
No, I wasn't gonna take it. Can you say the joke though?
A
Well, Benaki no stocky.
B
Yeah. So he's not here anymore. Only because like bigger and better things probably he has his family, you know, just like things happen. Still the homie still see him all the time.
A
Or maybe there's crazy beef between us. Or maybe he a little punk.
B
Maybe we just fired his ass.
A
Maybe we were like, you know what, Ben, Aki, don't stay Ike my boy. Don't stay. You gotta go home. But you can't stay Ike.
B
You can't stay at key.
A
No, no, no, no. Absolutely. There's crazy love for Matt. He was a huge asset to our team. We loved having him here. But like Seba said, sometimes people, they want different things and they want to expand their wings and you know, and you know, they be just beefing it, you know.
B
Yeah. 100. I still don't know why he left. Me neither. Just kidding. No, obviously like he has his life.
A
I wish he was here because he is here.
B
I don't know. So he can explain himself.
A
Yeah, yeah.
B
No, but everything is cool. Obviously. We wish you nothing but the best, Matt. Thank you so much. We absolutely adore you. We love you and we still see Matt all the time.
A
Yeah, exactly.
B
But yeah.
A
Oh, before we get into this episode, we gotta shout out our friends Seiki. Shout out our friends over at Segr ticketing app on the app store. I'm going to do something real quick. Ben, Beni is here and we were just talking mad about you bro.
B
And it made it weird that you.
A
Weren'T here in the room cuz you were here earlier. So we kind of said that the reason you're. You're. You're potentially parting ways with us now.
B
Hold on, hold on. No, take a seat right here, man.
C
He.
A
He doesn't have a mic. We don't have.
B
I'll give him mine.
A
Okay, bet.
B
Get over here. Come explain yourself.
A
Context everybod. Just to give you guys a quick. A quick little rundown.
B
Take a seat, man.
A
Before we get into today's episode, thanks to Sofi for sponsoring this video.
B
Yes, sir. We've been messing with Sofi lately and honestly it's become my go to.
A
Come on, baby.
B
Sofi is an all in one Finance app that helps members bank, borrow and invest so they can get their money right. But here's the big update. SoFi just launched worldwide money transfers which makes it seamless to send cash in a flash to over 30 countries worldwide.
A
Bro. This is clutch for anyone with family outside the US with a SoFi checking and savings account, you can send funds to Mexico, India, Brazil and 25 plus countries across Europe. Most international payments arrive within minutes. It's low cost and you can do it all easily in the SoFi app. I had to really slow down because this is big time news, bro.
B
So what you're telling me is that my Thea is getting paid?
A
She going to make that money?
B
We tested it. My mom got the money before she even finished asking what it was for. Like that.
A
And tell me why their checking and savings accounts are actually paying real interest. Not those. Here's a nickel. And good luck vibes. You can earn up to eight times the national average savings rate.
B
Because look, a savings account at your local bank can give you literally pennies in interest. But with a SOFI high yield checking and savings account with eligible direct deposit, you can earn more interest in seven than you would in an entire year with a big bank savings account. And they have no account. Or my favorite, overdraft fees.
A
The no overdraft fees part is personal. So if you want to check it out for yourself, head to sofi.com/laplatica. Scan the QR code on the screen.
B
Hello.
A
Or click the link in the description to earn $30 in reward points after making three international money transfers.
B
Three transfers easy. That's like one weekend for my family.
A
Thank you SoFi. Six, seven words. Taste Daluth is now at Vitamin Shop. Six, seven. Okay, sorry I did that. I'm so excited to share with you guys. That Taste Salute is now at Vitamin shop nationwide over 600 stores. You can get your salutations. You can get this beautiful 12 count box of Jamaica horchata, pina, mango, energy, whatever you're looking for out of these flavors. They got you covered. The cool part is if you don't want a 12 count, maybe you just want a single stick. Look, that little carton turns into something like this where you can just pull one out. And if you want to buy the 12 count, you get the access to do this as well. Vitamin shop, 600 stores. If there's a Vitamin shop next to you, pull up, let them know Joshy Poo sent you and you're here for your salute. Salud. For people who are are maybe new To La Platica and don't know the backstory of Benaki. His name is Matt. He is our videographer editor for the past two years now. Are you going two years? Two years.
D
I started with Itati but it's not officially two years, but in February it will be.
A
This band has been rocking with us. All the episodes that you've seen have been edited, have been touched by the man himself giving us the Midas touch. And he's parting ways with us and we want Matt to say his final goodbyes and why the he's leaving us, dog.
B
We told him that you don't with us no more.
A
Can you confirm or what's the real reason?
D
I will confirm that that is the truth. No guys, it's been a long journey, but a very pleasant one.
A
Yeah.
D
And it's just my time. I think it's just my time. I've learned so much from everybody in this room, Saul included. When you guys added him to the team, I knew something big was going on. Sasson Studios is I think where everything changed for sure. And it was just a lot at one point, to be honest. Like balancing all the podcasts, editing.
A
No, I get it.
D
And I learned a lot about myself and like what it takes and what I need to do personally to grow still. Even how I run my own personal business. Learning from you guys, I'm like, I'm nowhere near those standards of how I run my business. And I just want to thank you guys for showing me that because it's not easy. I didn't have a mentor doing any of this. It was all self taught. And I love you guys all so much. I really, really do. And it's really bittersweet moment. I just know this is something I have to do. I still love you guys and I would still probably be doing this, but I know there's some stuff I'm destined for, if that makes any sense. I know there's like a movie in me for sure. I feel that. I've always felt that I'm. I'm gonna do that for sure. And I wanna. The next time I'm here hopefully is like for a reason, a big reason. You know what I mean? The next time I'm sitting here, I want to be under different circumstances for sure. Yeah. And that's the only thing, that's probably the only reason why I'm leaving. Because when I first started this journey, I was on set and I was working for nothing. And you know, you have to kind of follow the money in a way and I lost that side of myself, and I just want to get back to it.
B
That.
D
That's literally the only reason.
A
Yeah.
D
Nobody could still do brand stuff. Of course.
A
Of course, Matt, the fact that you're taking a chance on yourself and betting on yourself, that's the best thing you can do. Because I have safe.
D
I have it safe or solid here. Whatever you want to say, like, it's. It's a. It's a safe gig.
A
Yeah.
D
You guys have gave me that safety net for two years, and that's like what you look after when you're a freelance person, right?
A
Yeah.
D
You know, like, you don't always.
A
Security.
D
Yeah, the security. And you guys have given me that. And I cannot be more thankful, honestly, because I have a family. You know, like, that's what you kind of look for. You're like, of course I could count on this. But now it's going to be back to, like, more of the hustle and ye. Finding the gig.
A
That drive that back against the wall.
D
Yeah.
A
Type of energy.
D
And that's kind of like. Yeah. Kind of. When I want to feel that again.
A
I want you to know that we are constantly rooting for you, bro. And we're. Even though you're not necessarily working as close as you have been to us, like, we still want you near us. And the creative energy that you bring and the. The. Just the light to the environment, something we're truly going to miss, man. So thank you for everything, bro. Thank you for the dedication. Thank you for the consistency. Everything, man. You were awesome. You were truly a. Even us, like, letting us pick on you and just being so cool about it, you know, it's just. It's just a beautiful thing. It's a beautiful experience. And it's family. It's family, like you said.
B
So it's.
A
I'm excited to see what's to come. And. And hopefully we. The next time we get you back in here, you're sitting here, we're interviewing you on this movie that you've produced and made and.
B
Yeah. Or we're gonna be entering. Interviewing you on, like, why you want to come back now. Just kidding.
A
If you do decide to come back, you gotta. You gotta. You gotta do this video.
D
B. It's going to be called.
B
Yeah, no, When, When, When, When. Obviously this information came to light for us, you know, that you wanted to move on, do your own thing, bro. Nothing but happy for you. You know what I mean? It takes guts. It takes a real man to be like, hey, guys, you know what? Like, I love what I'm doing, but I'm destined for more. I'm. I'm not just destined for more, but I just want to switch things up, bro. Everybody, everybody gets those feelings, bro. As men, especially, and having a family. So for you to say that for me, like, I was talking to the guys and I was like, yeah, bro, that's awesome, bro. I'm actually super happy for you. You know what I mean? Because I rather have that than somebody being here for like 10 years. And then I'm like, hey, bro, like, you don't, you know, you don't, you know, there's more to this. You know what I mean?
D
I don't mean that with any shade either. Like, I don't want that to be like any sort of this or anything. Like, I just.
B
Yeah, no, we. We didn't take it. We didn't take it like that, bro.
A
You have bigger dreams and aspirations outside of, you know, being a part of La Platica. That's totally cool.
D
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
B
And then you. I will always love you forever. Because since day one, this has been my baby. And as you know, I used to edit all this. I used to be in the cut. I was behind everything. And you were the first person that I ever took a chance on and you exceeded my expectations. You started doing things better than me. Some things. Just kidding. And you know, for. For me, that was a huge deal, man. And for you being the first and the first whoever feed my child. You know, take it how you want it. We might be gay together because you're feeding my child as like, you're like the. The stepdaddy.
A
So you guys are not gay or.
B
No, we're gay. Me and Matt are gay for each other.
A
Okay. No, stepdaddy, I don't know.
B
No. You know that that means the world to me, bro. That was like a huge thing. And you can even ask Josh in the beginning. I don't know, man. Like, this is like, like, you know, like I. It was really hard for me about.
A
You in the beginning, bro.
B
But not only did you do it, but you did it with a smile on your face. And that's all that mattered at the end of the day. So we just want to thank you and we love you, bro. And we're here for you for, you know, anything that you need, bro. Anything that you need, bro. Anything. We're always here. And if you ever need to come back or whatever, you're totally.
A
Guys, in the comments below, write a little sweet message for Benaki and let him know how much you Appreciate having him on la platica for the time that he was here. Let's give it up for benaki, everybody. Love you, Matt. You're the guy, bro. 2026, off to a bad start. Matt left us. Just kidding. Yeah.
B
Yeah, man. For sure.
A
Oh, yes.
D
Just wanted to thank you guys again. Thank you, Jess. It was such a pleasure working next to you. Honestly, I remember being so nervous working for itati, and then you made everything so easy. And I just want to say I love you, too. You remind me of my sister, to be honest. You are my sister. So I just want to say I love you. I'm getting choked up, too, but no, thank you. It was such a pleasure sitting next to you, you know, and just getting to know you. And I wish nothing but the best for you guys, honestly.
B
I love that.
D
So thank you.
A
Thank you, Matt. We appreciate you, baby.
D
Thank you.
B
This 2026, very emotional.
A
This isn't goodbye.
D
This is.
A
Well, this is goodbye. Love you, Matt.
D
Yeah.
A
Get out of here, you crazy dog.
B
Sure. Yeah. No, honestly, what a blessing to have him. Yeah. And now I can't wait to create those memories with sa, too.
A
Yeah.
B
And s. If you want to leave in a year or six months, I won't be mad at you either. Let me know ahead of time. Yeah. But, yes. Starting off 2026, we want to talk about the new year, what we have, what we kind of want for us, you know, like some individual things for ourselves. Yeah. You want to start off, bro?
A
Well, first of all, I want to talk about Christmas decorations because clearly we're into the new year and we haven't taken down our Christmas decorations, But I don't think there's nothing wrong with that at all. Honestly, I kind of want to let these run for, like, another three weeks. Is that crazy?
B
No, it's not. I'm super down, bro. Such a cozy vibe in here.
A
It's a cozy vibe. I just feel, like, this energy of, like, you know, things are good and jolly and lit.
B
Yeah. I've had this conversation with my wife recently, and I was like. Like, can we leave the decorations on until about February?
A
February is a little crazy. Feb is crazy.
B
Hey, man, I paid somebody to put Christmas lights in my house this year because I'm. I'm scared of heights.
A
Yeah.
B
And, you know, they charged me money to do it.
A
Sure.
B
Obviously. And they said that they're gonna take them down by January 1st.
A
By the 1st.
B
Okay.
A
That's too soon. That's too soon.
B
So I'm calling him and I'm like, Yo, like, can we wait till February? Like, I still want this up.
A
Yeah, February is kind of crazy because it's just. You gotta. You know what I mean? I think two weeks mid Jan, we're good. You gotta. You gotta take them down. And this issue that you're, like, talking about here is. It's a little thing I like to call a personal problem. Got it? You know what that is? A personal problem.
B
A problem that I have personally.
A
Exactly. With yourself.
B
Yeah.
A
Right. So how about in 2026, we take our personal problems and we deal with them personally and don't bring the. To this space that we've created here.
B
Right.
A
That's why Matt's leaving us. You.
B
Is that why Matt? Damn. I it all up.
A
No, I think. I think with Christmas decorations, third week, we're good. Of Jan. Okay, take them down.
B
Third week of January, latest. But you're tripping on the first week of February. If I'm in a new.
A
If I'm in a new month. You're too long, bro. It's way too long.
B
Dude. You're nuts.
A
Come again?
B
You're nuts.
A
So you go to February, bro, Honestly, can I tell you something? I don't care what you do with your house, okay? If you want to leave them up the whole year, doesn't matter.
B
What about the Christmas tree?
A
Same thing.
B
Same rules apply the third week of January.
A
What's. What's. What's is there? Like, what is it, like, the golden rule for this?
B
I think it also depends on, like, if your Christmas tree is real, because it turns into a fire hazard. Really? People burn their Christmas trees, huh? They're flat. They're easily flammable. Yeah. You know what flammable means?
A
You know what I want to do one day? I want to. I want to cut down my own Christmas tree. Like, what's up with that?
B
You don't have it in you.
A
How are we gonna hit that?
B
You don't have it.
A
And then dragging that through the snow, bro, that's badass.
B
I'd pay for that.
A
That's badass.
B
I pay to see that. To see you with an ax.
A
Yeah.
B
You know what an X looks like, bro?
A
Doesn't matter.
B
All right?
A
Looks like this.
C
Seeing the videos of that lumberjack who.
B
Like the tank top, the thirst trap guy.
A
Wait, the guy on Tick Tock?
C
Yeah.
A
Well, you think he's hot. Jess, are you blushing? Jazz?
B
Yeah.
A
Yeah.
C
So funny. Anyway, back to timing and rules. So, yeah, traditionally, religiously, by the twelfth night, which means, like, January 5th or the epiphany, which is January 6th. That officially marks the end of the Christmas season. And that's when the Reyes Magos come. You know, like, they. So, like, after that is when I know, at least in my family in Mexico, that's when. When they. They are like, okay, everything comes down. Now, the.
B
The Reyes Magos are sick, bro. Those who leave you money, not.
A
Not if you leave your Christmas ornaments up till January.
B
N. They don't mind, bro.
A
It's February. You just put.
B
You put your shoe somewhere, and they put money in the shoe.
C
Only if it doesn't smell well.
B
Yeah.
A
You got stinky feet, huh?
B
Now I don't. I used to.
A
Bad. In 2025.
B
No, in about 2009. 8, 8, 7, 6. Throughout my childhood, really bad.
A
Like 2000. You're in high school.
B
From high school down, my feet smelled. Yeah.
A
Wow.
B
Well, same shoe all the time. Starts to get stinky. Yeah. Your shoes.
A
Pe Sports.
B
He was the same shoe for everything. Wow. Yeah.
A
So what are some goals you have for 2026?
B
None.
A
None.
B
No, I do. I want to prioritize my health. Okay, but isn't that what we all say?
A
But what's yours? I'm asking you.
B
That's what it is.
A
Okay. In what way?
B
Work out more, not drink as much.
A
Yeah. Did you say this exact same thing I said every year to a T? I feel like you said this.
B
No, I think I said last year, like, I want to prioritize, like, being with my family more.
A
Yeah.
C
Yeah.
B
You know, which I. I feel like I've done that a lot, you know, and that's. That's the goal, to continue to do that. I just want to be a little bit more financially like, responsible, I think.
A
Yeah, that's good.
B
Like, maybe not spend as much on, like.
A
Like what? Like socks. I also spend on socks, but it's.
B
Not really, like, spending money.
A
Yeah.
B
It's more kind of like investing in stuff. You know what I mean?
A
Yeah. Yeah. What would you want?
B
Have, like, money. Sit somewhere or something? I don't know.
A
Okay.
B
Like, on a chair.
A
Sit right there.
B
All right, babe. My money's sitting right here. Is that why everyone's doing it?
A
People say, move their money around. I'm moving my. All around my house.
B
We're doing it, babe. We're getting rich. Stuff like that. You know what I mean? Yeah.
A
That's good, man.
C
Can I offer a different way to kind of maybe think about this, too, so that it feels a little less repetitive? What's something crazy that you want to achieve for yourself this year?
B
Yeah, I want to Start maybe, like, having a family.
A
Whoa.
B
Yeah.
A
Okay.
C
Yeah.
B
I've been trying for years, and my. Don't work. No. So this is.
A
This is the year that you're really.
B
I. I would like to. Yeah, I would like to.
A
It's kind of crazy that it's. It's a little more comple. Than just, like, saying it. There's, like, so many variables and factors.
B
That go into, like, I would like to. You know what I mean? Like, I don't know how to word. As in, like, oh, we're trying, you know, I don't want to wear like that. Just like, I'm. That's like, you know, not in the back of my head. It's in the front of my head.
A
Yeah.
B
I mean, like, I want that. So if God will. God willingly, like, I would. I would love that. I'm just. I feel like I'm getting to myself, personally. I'm getting to the age where, like, I want it now kind of thing. Because I don't want to, like, wait too long.
A
Yeah.
B
And. Yeah, because, you know, I see it around more and like, now it's, like, a lot more enticing for me to, like, oh, you know, I want that.
A
Yeah. What's crazy is, like, it takes. It takes a while, too. So even if, like. Let's just say you guys were to get pregnant, like, early in the year, it wouldn't be till like, the end of the year.
B
Yeah, technically. Yeah. But I mean, but even that whole process, like, to me, like, that doesn't even matter because, like, bro, anybody who gets, like, oh, my God, like, my cousin. Shout out to my cousin Kevin, like, he just had a baby two days ago, I think. And I just remember him recently telling me, like, yeah, at least.
A
Oh, it goes by insanely fast.
B
So, like, I know it's gonna go by quick.
A
Yeah.
B
You know, like, I don't mind that. I just need to do it now, you know, or when I can, man.
A
No, and that. And that's. I mean, there's also, like, beauty in the journey of, like, the pregnancy.
B
Right.
A
Like those nine months. It's nine months, right.
C
I think.
A
Right. There's a.
C
It's like 10, 40 weeks.
A
Yeah.
C
Unlike if, you know.
B
No clue, bro.
A
Take 10 months to brew a baby. That's like. It's like, long time, but also, like, that's not that long.
B
No, it's not. It's not.
A
And like, the grand scheme of things, like, that's pretty quick.
B
Yeah.
A
That shit's on hyperspeed.
B
Yeah. So, you know, and, like, Just like, like, even, even myself getting like older and stuff. Like, I see my parents too. You know what I mean? And there's not really, like, you know, kids in our family like that. In my, in my wife's family there is, but not in my family. So I definitely. It's like one of those things where, like, I think, you know, it needs to happen because I do want that.
A
Yeah. I think you're at a good age, too. I was talking to my buddy Oscar, literally like three days ago, and he was like, are you gonna have kids? I'm like, I want to. And he's like, well, like, soon, bro. And I'm like, maybe. He's like, you're gonna be old. You're gonna be old. Mind you, he had his first kid when he was like, not to expose him, but like, when he was really young, he was younger. And I just think about my mom. My mom had Marky at 40.
B
Yeah.
A
And they have an incredible relationship.
B
Yeah.
A
So I think, like, with us there is, like, time, but at the same time, I don't want to be an old dad. But I'm kind of already. It's too late. Like, I'm kind of already entered that tier of like, I'm gonna be an older parent. I think no matter what.
B
I think you're fine right now. I just don't want to wait till like, 40. Yeah. Almost there. You know what I mean? And you know, think about this. I'm younger than my wife. Yeah. I don't want to make her weight.
A
That's true.
B
You know what I mean?
A
Yeah.
B
And for, for the woman, it's, it's, it's a lot because guys can get chicks pregnant almost kind of like whenever, right?
A
Oh, yeah.
B
Well, technically, no, because, like, they're still like, you know, your, your. Those Hugos have to be still kind of poignant as a man. But for the majority, like, you know, no, I think we're still good to go. Right. But for women it's different.
A
There's some crazy stories about like, you got 86 year old men having babies.
B
Yeah. So you got to take that into consideration. But yeah, definitely. I think that's definitely something. I wouldn't say crazy, but something definitely that I want.
A
What if I just wait till 86 and I'm like, it.
D
Doesn't Robert De Niro have a kid?
A
Yeah. Yeah, that. I mean, yeah.
B
But when you're a freaking legend like.
A
That, you can have a kid.
B
Like, you don't even care if your kid knows you for a year or two. Just know that you were my son. What that makes any sense? Like, bro, if you're Robert De Niro.
A
Spawn of a legend.
B
Yeah. Like, it doesn't matter if you grew up with me. Just know I made you and you can hear stories about me.
A
Yeah.
B
It's kind of cool.
A
That's super cool, bro.
B
Right?
A
Yeah.
B
Cuz like, that's up for Robert D. Having a kid at 80 something, cuz like 79. Okay, 79. Like technically that's up. Cuz you. That, that kid probably ain't going to see you for that long. Right?
A
Well, he's seven. No.
B
So it's like, you know what I mean? Like, but that kid's going to be like, yo, my dad was Robert De Niro, my boy.
A
Yeah. And he looks really good for his age.
B
Yeah, looks great, right?
A
Yeah. And 79 is. No, that's, that's old. You're up there.
B
Yeah, bro. The average age for a human is 75.
C
Good question.
A
I genuinely think that if we can, if we. Anybody listening right now can just live for another five to seven years, we're gonna like create some advanced scientific medication that's gonna allow us to live to like 150.
B
Well, I feel like, I think we're on the cusp. Like, like history has told us that we improve our age limit throughout.
C
Yeah.
B
The history of time.
C
Even being as old as we are right now, this would have been considered super old back in the days.
A
That's crazy.
B
Yeah. It only goes like that.
A
Yeah.
B
Because I do believe that with a lot of things that go on, especially nowadays, things that you can get, it helps you live, it helps you become a lot healthier. It can, it can. And so my point is. And I also feel like nowadays the world, how the world's going and how even like the new generation is growing up. Even like our generation right now, we are tending to be a lot healthier. We are working out more and, and there's. There's even like statistics that people aren't drinking as much.
A
Yeah.
B
Or like doing things to like, you know, alter their.
A
Yeah. Like people are. Their lifespan, like aware of like, like red 40. Like that's not. We talked about when we were kids. But now like the younger generation, like, oh, that's like red 40. That's like cancer.
B
Yeah.
A
Like in, in 10 years they're gonna look at us and be like, damn, just ate Red 40. Like it was nothing.
B
Yeah. And I think, you know, throughout period of time. Yeah, exactly. People don't smoke cigarettes that much. Who here in the United States. I feel like anywhere else, when you go smoking cigarettes like crazy, they're throwing them back in Europe. Anywhere you go, Mexico. Smoking mad cigarettes.
A
Yeah.
B
But I do feel like that does do something with like human genetics throughout like years and years and years later. So I do think that we are doing something that will benefit our lives. Yeah.
A
Also I think with like the way modern medicine is and like the, the science that we have to understand how cancer causing cells are produced or things that are actually killing people. Like we're getting to a point in, in technology where we're like, I'm pretty sure we can figure out how they're being caused and minimize them or completely delete them. Yeah, I think we're there, bro. Maybe not right now, but I'm telling you, in like five to ten years.
B
I. Huh, Sorry.
C
I was gonna say something controversial. Commercial.
B
Okay.
C
That like we might already be there.
A
Yeah.
C
But because it's such a money machine.
A
I know.
C
Are we ever going to actually see it?
B
Also, Elon Musk, that's what his whole goal is. Oh, the knurling to like and cancer.
A
Mark the beast. The mark of the beast.
B
Oh yeah.
A
Biblical.
B
Yeah, that's. That was a conspiracy about that.
A
Yeah.
B
Yeah. I mean, would you do it?
A
The neuro chip? Can I tell you something? I'll do that.
C
It.
B
What does it actually do again? I don't know.
A
Whatever you want it to do. It's like a computer chip in your mind.
B
What do you mean whatever I wanted to do?
A
If you want to store more information, be able to articulate better, diagnose your health and well being, tell you about like your calorie nutrients and the. What your body's lacking.
C
Isn't this what we were just talking about? Black marriage? Yeah.
B
Yeah.
A
Now mind you, I don't know if this is what this thing does, but I'm assuming that that's what it'll eventually get to do. You know, like you can check your phone on your app. Like, oh, you're low on potassium. Eat a banana. You no go pop a banana. Not even. I could just pop a capsule. That banana flavor.
B
Don't treat your bananas like this and then eat it like that.
A
Pop them and then you peel each side.
B
I tend to like at my house, I like to show that. I like to show my wife that I'm very talented.
A
Yeah.
B
So I crack it this way in half and I squeeze so hard that it pops up and then I catch it with my mouth.
A
Did she just look at you?
B
And on both. And then immediately she goes Please, please be dirty with me.
A
Wow.
B
Imagine.
A
Okay, let me tell you something. If she wouldn't be impressed, I'd be impressed. And I'd lay you. Yeah.
B
Next time we'll bring bananas, and I'll do it. Okay. Yeah.
A
So would you do that if it had, like, all these crazy perks?
B
Yeah, because at the. I mean. Yeah, I think I would. I mean, I would see what. What Elon's benefit is from, you know, like. Yeah, like, how does he benefit from it? And I feel like it's kind of diabolical. Then I wouldn't be, like, participating in it. But if it's something for your health, like. Yeah, why not? Especially, like, no one's promised, like, to be mortal, you know, like, we're gonna die anyway, so why not?
C
Not?
B
Yeah, why not? I chipped my dog. Dog when he was born.
A
Yeah, that's way different.
B
So if that. Who gets lost? I don't know where that was at.
A
Yeah, I just. Yeah. I don't know. I don't know what's gonna happen with that. Has it started, like, are people chipped? Like, there's certain people that. I think one person so far.
B
Right.
C
I think it's still clinical testing and, like, implants and figuring it out.
B
Yeah. But I believe, like, what Jess said, there's mad people out there, and there's.
C
There's.
B
There's actual groups that nobody knows about or, like, actual, like, secret agent companies that makes any sense. They got all that. That shit's ready. Like, people are actually getting this.
A
Yeah. Are you saying, like.
B
Like, whether it be, like, special medicine or like. Oh, yeah, things that might. Might help you live so much longer. Got that 100.
A
The thing is, have we have live. Has it been around long enough to prove that it actually works? So even if we do have it, we don't know. So it's kind of hard to say. Now we've entered a tier.
B
Maybe we have had it.
A
Maybe. Maybe. But that's a little harder to believe. I feel like maybe we have had it for, like, the past, like, 30 years, bro.
B
There's scientists and labs working on continuously for years and hundreds of years already. They for sure have popped something crazy.
A
Like figure something out.
B
Yeah. Like some sort of. And then they get a chemical reaction.
A
And then they get killed or some.
B
Maybe. Or they're alive and they're the ones that control the world by a.
A
A big pharma.
B
Maybe. Like, have you seen Pluris on Apple tv? Such a good show, bro. It's basically this virus that comes from Space. But it's not like a COVID virus. It's a virus that. It infected like 99% of the people or almost like 100 because there was only like 15 survivors that didn't that are immune to this virus. But it's not a virus that makes you sick like covet. It's a virus that we all join our minds together. We are all one mind. So I am you now Jessica, and you are me. And I'm everybody. And we all think the same. We all have the same memory. I know exactly what you did when, you know, if you remember your 11th birthday, I have it in here. So we all act the same. It's like a hive mind.
A
Okay.
B
It's really interesting.
A
Yeah, yeah.
B
I don't even know why I'm talking about this right now. Why am I saying this?
A
We were talking about people, but coming up with Big and in the lab right now creating.
B
Yeah, yeah, yeah. So basically like this, this.
A
It's.
B
It's. The season's still going on, so I don't know what the ending is yet, but they created this chemical because they. They were able. Someone sent a chemical thing. No, it's a bad thing. Cuz like the world is at world. It's like world peace now. Ah, so I'm kind of spoiling it. But like the whole point is world peace.
A
And it's not good.
B
It's not good because in reality, world peace is. And everybody loves each other. That means that you don't even kill animals. Nothing. So world peace, like that's it. Or if like an apple falls from the tree, then you can eat it, but you can't pick it because that's not like, whoa, that's not like very nice, I guess, you know? Or like you can't kill an animal. It has to like, like die.
A
Die, and then you can eat it.
B
Yeah, but what happened was when. When this hive mind happened and people started to get infected by it. But like you. You're like after, if you survive that virus, which 90 of people did. But like say like the 8% of people that didn't. All over the world, that 8% translated to like 800 million people died. So now they use their bodies to like eat them and they like blend them. Blend up the people and what, they eat the people. Because that's. That's the only way to. To keep everybody alive. Because nobody can eat anything else. Unless it was already there. Watch us.
A
Watch them.
B
It's a show.
A
Yeah, that's. What's it called?
B
Pluribus Pluris. P L U R I B U S. Yeah. Yeah.
A
I don't know, man. I'm. I'm more like. I'm more of like the optimistic type. Like, I'm kind of excited for all this kind of stuff. Stuff, you know, Like, I'm not really scared of it, you know, like the neural link or, you know, these new, like, medications and, and peptides, whatever. I'm, like, very fascinated by it.
B
Yeah.
A
I'm not like, oh, my God. Like, this is. I'm not saying I want to live forever, by the way, you know, but I want to live optimally. Like, if I could enhance my life and my experiences while the time that I'm here, like, I'm gonna do it.
B
Yeah. You know, and that's like a New Year's resolution that I have. Live optimally. Live oftenly.
A
Optimally. Oftenly.
B
Oftenly. Yeah.
A
Optimally.
B
Optimally. Optimalis.
A
Optimally. And I'm off the tamales, bro.
B
Yeah. You know what I'm saying? Like, yeah, if you can do something every day to make you live an extra 30 seconds, that adds up.
A
You can't eat hot dogs because apparently freaking wieners cut your life. Look, really look it up, dude. It. Don't eat those wieners. That's a message.
B
Some things in life are worth it.
A
Thank you. That's the. That's the smartest thing you've ever said, bro.
B
Some things in life are worth it. And for everything else, there's my MasterCard.
A
You know, because. Oh, my God. 36 minutes.
B
That's hot dog. Whoever wrote this hates hot dogs.
A
Yeah, for sure.
C
At the University of Michigan.
A
Listen, Michigan. You son of a. Look how, you know, 36 minutes.
B
That means that if people just did not eat hot dogs. That's like a whole lot here.
A
Due to the processed meat and trans fatty acids content. Okay, See this stuff right here? This makes sense, bro. Like, we shouldn't be eating processed foods like that. Logically, like, you don't need research. I just. I'm like, yeah, obviously we shouldn't eat. That's like, made in a, like, lab and processed.
B
Yeah. Like, all the Oscar Meyer wieners. Don't eat those. But the other ones, like the grass fed wieners and like, human wieners, I.
A
Think they're still processed. Jess, I don't think you can make a hot dog if it's not processed. Can you look this up, Jess? All wieners must be processed.
B
You can quote all wieners matter.
A
Tell me about your wiener. Yes. All hot dogs are considered processed meat. See, you can't do it, bro.
B
Yeah.
A
Told you, bro.
B
Grass fed wieners, human wieners, they're all good.
A
Well, that's organic. That's organic.
B
Yeah.
A
Yeah.
B
The cheddar dog wieners, not good, but they're good. Oh, man.
A
Worth it. Yeah, bro. 36 minutes is such. I've ate at least a thousand wieners in my life. Yeah, Big wieners, too.
B
Yeah, I know.
A
You know what I mean? Like, how many minutes did I cut.
B
Off at the fair? Those wieners?
A
Yeah.
D
Damn.
B
So if you go to a Dodger game, you have one of those wieners. Those are long as. Yeah, like, that's like an hour.
A
Like What? The hot 36 minutes of like, how big of a wiener. Like, tell me when to stop. Like a regular wiener. Is this 36, 37, 38, 39, 40. 40 minutes? 45 minutes, an hour.
B
Yeah. Every bite of a wiener.
A
Wow.
B
Okay, so my weed, I mean, a regular wiener is this big.
A
Sure. That's 36 minutes.
B
36 minutes.
A
Yeah.
B
Dodger dog, that's at least. At least an hour, 45 minutes. Give. Give or take. Because the Dodger dogs are a little skinnier. But that's the thing. If you want to eat a wiener, I would say go for it, but what are you doing after to, like, regain those 36 minutes? Right?
A
Like, how are you counteracting that?
B
Yeah, and I think that's what life is all about is how can you count? It's like boxing, bro. Counter.
A
What was that?
B
Counter. It's sick.
A
Six.
B
It's six minutes per inch. What? Wow.
A
Six minutes per inch.
B
Yeah. And I've seen you take down about what, eight inches?
A
Easy, easy, bro.
B
Oh, my God. That's a salchipulpo. The Japan one. You know Salpos?
A
Yeah, the little octopus ones.
B
Bro. Salpos are super fire, but only in Mexico.
A
Yo, hot dogs are goated. Let's be real here. I think they're worth it. It. You know what I mean? I think that's why they're so good.
B
Maybe not daily. Right. But it's just how you counter it.
A
Yeah, no, like, it's. They're worth it. They're worth it. That's why they're so good.
B
Yeah.
A
Because it can't be that good and, like, good for you.
B
So if you were just born baby Josh King. Right? King.
A
Yeah.
B
And life. Life. Told you. Hey, you're gonna live till 90. Okay? But yo, we got this product called Wieners Wieners. Super delicious. Oh, you can have as much as you want whenever you want them. But now it'll cut down to, like, about 82 years. That this is.
A
That's exactly what broke. It's saying. That's not even a. Like.
B
Yeah, that's insane. But if you knew that right off the gate, you'd be okay with that? First you'd have to try wiener. Right?
A
I'd be more selective on when I intake a wiener. Is that fair to say? Yeah, like, I'd be very selective, which is pretty awesome. Like, is this a good moment to, like, cut some life off?
C
Off?
B
Yeah.
A
I'm with my friends, I'm with my family. Whatever it may be.
C
Let me have a wiener.
A
Let me have a win. Give me a ween.
B
Yeah. Sometimes when I just feel down, I just love to have a wiener.
A
But 36 minutes is kind of crazy.
B
And that's just a hot dog, bro. Like, my mom makes this, like, ceviche. The weenie has mad wieners in there.
D
Wow.
A
That's one of my favorite things. I still eat it to this day. Yeah, like, but like, it's like the turkey weenie.
B
I wonder what's the worst thing to eat, like, ever? Can we google that?
A
It's gotta be wieners.
B
What on earth is the worst thing to eat?
A
Yo, if anybody's playing a drinking game right now. Drink every time we say wiener. Yeah.
B
Wiener. There's no single most unhealthy food.
C
Top unhealthy categories. Processed meat.
A
Yeah.
B
Wow.
C
Sugar sweetened beverages. Like, like sodas. Honestly, you guys, 20, 25. I gave up sugar and sodas.
A
Define giving up sugar. Like, are you eating barbecue sauce?
C
I meant specifically in drinks. So, like sodas. And I beg the audience to look up how many. Like, actually take a scale and measure out. Oh, we know the grams of sugar that are in your soda. Yeah, I. I can't.
B
Luckily for them, we've been putting them on zero gang game for like, like three years.
A
That's true. We've been on the zero.
B
We've been on the coke. Z life.
A
Yeah. This stuff right here, this is, like, good for people to see. Like, this is the food that causes what, death?
C
Yeah, Just the most unhealthy processed meats. Bacon, hot dogs, deli meats. Anything high in sodium nitrates can be linked to cancer and heart disease. Sugar sweetened beverages. Soda, energy drinks. Sweet coffee drinks, empty calories, sugar spikes, link to diabetes.
A
You know what breaks my heart seeing this, bro? What breaks my heart is that this food right here is the easiest food to access.
B
Yeah.
A
It's the cheapest. It's the most convenient.
B
Which just which is the problem with the world right now, Especially here in America.
A
Yeah.
B
The United States of America.
A
Come on, man. God bless it.
B
If I go to the store, if I go to a Pavilions Ralph's Albertsons, and I want two tomatoes for my. For my. Or for my webitos, bro. I'm spending, like, four bucks, five bucks on just two tomatoes. If I'm struggling, and I've been there, bro.
A
Yeah.
B
If I'm struggling, why would I buy two tomatoes when I can go to Jack? And for those five bucks, I can get ten tacos.
A
Yeah.
B
And they're gonna give me free ranch. I'm gonna do that.
A
Yeah.
B
But super bad. Actually, tacos aren't that bad, but.
A
No, but it's processed.
B
You know what I mean?
A
It's fried. It's like, fried.
B
Yeah.
A
It just sucks, man. It just sucks because it's not complicated. It's like, avoid these things as much as possible. You'll have a better health in your.
B
Life and you'll feel better.
A
You feel better, bro.
B
80 of people, and I've talked about this with one of my friends, Andre, I think on the pod a long time ago, like, 80 of people are in, like, super inflamed constantly.
A
Yeah.
B
Like, have you ever not drank for, like, three months and actually ate super clean for three.
A
Not drink alcohol.
B
Alcohol and really ate clean for, like, three months, bro. Your face changes, like, amazingly.
A
Yeah. How many. What's the time that you'd say?
B
I would say, like, two months straight.
A
Yeah.
B
No drinking, eating clean your face. You look a supermodel.
A
Yeah.
B
Your skin is glowing. You look amazing. You know what I mean? Like, it's just. It's crazy. And that's how you actually look. We tell you, like, if you drink a lot, like, every weekend, that's technically not how you look. Honestly.
A
No, for sure.
B
There's a lot of inflammation. Alcohol is the biggest, like, inflammatory.
A
Yeah. Yeah. Especially when you over consume it, which we always do. Dude, we're recording a podcast here, bro. 20. 26, bro.
B
Let's cut the.
A
Yeah.
D
Yeah.
B
Right?
A
Yeah, 100%. I agree with what you're saying. I agree with what you're saying. One of my goals, since you asked. You didn't. Is I want to be more, like, not necessarily present. Present, yes, of course. But, like, I feel like life moves so fast.
B
Yeah.
A
And we're in the position where we get to do a bunch of really cool stuff, and so many cool things happen that, like, sometimes they're so fast and back to back, I don't process and Take a moment to just be, wow, that was really cool. And not out loud, bro. I don't want to do it out loud. I don't want to come. I don't mean, like, a way. Like, I want to, like, talk about it just for myself. Like, I want to be like, wow, that was really cool. And feel good about it and be like, wow, this was an incredible thing I got to experience.
B
Imagine just with your friends, you just stand up and say, guys, this is really cool.
A
No, but sometimes you got to make it known.
C
Yeah.
A
And it helps. And it kind of like, you're like, damn, this is really cool.
B
Yeah.
A
You know, this year was so. This past year was so incredible, and I traveled a lot, and I. We did a lot of really cool things. Like, bro, in the same year, like, not to talk about salute, but that was really huge moments. We partnered with Jaritos, which is the biggest Mexican soda brand in the world, and then we sponsor the Mexican national team. Like, those things don't happen in the same year. Like, those are things that I just want to really. And I'm gonna be honest, bro, I was so appreciative of them. I had really, like, incredible depth, like, gratitude. But I could have been more. You know what I mean? I could have really, like, enjoyed the journey. Like, I am so blessed to have Salud and, like, this podcast. But, like, one day, we're not going to do this anymore, so. But this is it. Like, we're working up to this, like, goal. But this is the fun part. This is the cool experience of it. Yeah. So I just want to like those moments.
B
Yeah.
A
When I look back, I'm 35 right now. Well, technically, I'm 36, according to this podcast.
B
Happy birthday.
A
Thank you.
B
Happy late birthday.
A
Thank you.
B
You 36? Yeah. You're old. Yeah.
A
It's just gonna. It's gonna. It's gonna. It's gonna be gone, and I'm gonna look back at these moments, and I'm gonna wish to have those, like, moments again.
B
Yeah.
A
The moments that I'm living in right.
B
Now in the cut.
A
Yeah. Like, I'm gonna be like, damn. I remember that.
B
Yeah. Because when you finish, what happens? You're finished.
A
Yeah.
B
You know, hopefully you're never finished, though, because a real hustler never finishes.
A
Damn, bro. That's deep. That's deep.
B
You know, I mean, you're.
A
Are you in a deep kick this year?
B
Yeah, I think so. Another thing that I said even last time and just, like, be more present with my family, but there's a Difference that I noticed, too, because I've caught myself and I. And I change it and maybe everybody can, you know, relate to this is like, yeah, you might, like, spend more time with your family. But actually being present, just kind of how you said, being present, speaking, talking, being deep, having great conversations. Because when I go says just like, hey, man, you want to hang out? And then you guys are just watching tv. I know, right? Because, bro, like, time flies by, man. Bro.
A
One thing I love now, the age that I'm at, and I've been doing this for a while now, probably, like, at least a good, solid, like, eight years of my life since I turned in my late 20s. Like, I have very deep conversations with my mom where I'm, like, sitting across from her, and I'm really asking her, like, how are you? Like, how are you? How's Marie? How are you feeling? Like, how's your soul? How's your heart? What are you dealing with? And, like, hearing her perspective and how she navigates through it, there's so much. 1 Wisdom 2 There's, like, this connection that you get to build with them because we didn't get to do that as a kid. Right? Like, we didn't even process that. But now that we're adults and we realize that our parents are just like us and they're figuring out and they're going through stuff as well, and you can, like, connect with them on such a deeper level. If you go there that to your point, you can even. You have to go there. You can't just get there with people. Some people are more receptive to it, and they'll just open up. But even then, like, you got to dig, you know, and not people. Not everybody creates the opportunities to ask people questions that are, like, deeper, that are going to make people. That's why I think therapy is so good, because it's very intentional.
B
Right.
A
So it's not just like, how are you? No, it's like, yo, like, what's going on with you? Why do you feel like you've been responding like this, acting like this, behaving like this? Like, let's break it down.
B
Yeah.
A
You know, and I think, like, there's not a lot of spaces that people create.
B
Yeah, you'd be surprised how much closer you get with somebody as well when.
A
You just, like, you're like, you know what? I'm gonna go deep. Deep. I'm gonna see what's up.
B
Even, like, you know. Well, I'll use this podcast as an example. One of the reasons why you're My best friend. Obviously before this podcast, you were already one of my best friends. Right. But now I'm even closer to you because we have conversations like this. We're basically forcing ourselves to talk. And we do talk about important, deep, funny, whatever. I've said so many words to you already for the past years and years and years that right there, nobody can ever take that away from me. Not even the fun joy of having this podcast. The fact that I've done that with you is insane. I have spoken more words to you than probably anybody in my life by being this consistent with la platica.
A
Yeah.
B
Make sure to subscribe. Turn your notifications on. Saw how I did that?
A
Oh, I thought. Are we done?
C
No.
B
I have a quote. Yeah. And I told you this quote. The quote quote is your circle sets your standards.
A
That's good.
B
Your circle sets your standards.
A
Oh, you did tell me this quote.
B
One of the things that I want to focus on this year too is.
A
This trimming the fat.
B
Sure. Even though my circle is already cool, but like, I'm such a nice person sometimes I have acquaintances, I have friends, sometimes even like my good friends, you know? Know, I want to give time to the people who like Salome the most. You know what I mean? Because that, that, that, that's out of self respect for myself too. I'm tired of wasting time. I'm tired of like doing stuff that I don't necessarily need to be doing. You know what I mean? I really want to focus on like limiting the time that I give.
A
Yeah.
B
And only not that I'm not going to give a lot of time. It's just I'm spreading it out now to things that actually matter, bro.
A
Who you surround yourself really matters, bro. It's, it's, it might be one of the most important things.
B
Yeah. As a human, your circle sets your standards.
A
It really does. Because first of all, as humans, we're built for connection.
B
Yeah.
A
That's one thing that allows us to like, thrive. If we don't have connection in our life, like relationships, I think it could really hurt you as an individual, you know, but being mindful of the people that you bring around is just as equally important. You know what I mean? I think that's amazing. That's a. Yeah.
B
And that's something that I'm really like taking into consideration too, because, because I've been there. You know, you start hanging out with certain people, you start getting influenced and you don't even know it until months later, you're like, damn, you know why I do all that.
A
Yeah.
B
You know, you don't even know. So that. That's the scary part is that you're doing these things and you're getting influenced, and then by the time you know, you're like, damn, why was I doing all that? You know?
A
Yeah.
B
And that's why you should just like, kind of like take a step back and really reassure yourself and analyze exactly. Of who you with with most of the time. And I know a lot of people go through that as well. And I promise, I think things will go and flow a lot smooth, a lot smoother if you start trimming the fat, for sure.
A
But it also, like. Not to, like, contradict you, but, like, it also starts with becoming the person that you want to be and that you want to be surrounded by.
B
Yeah.
A
Because you can't suck and want to have amazing friends.
B
Yeah.
A
And, like, friends that are motivated and driven and wealthy and whatever it is. Like, you got to put yourself in that place as well. You know what I mean? So you can start curating the friend groups that you want to have, like, the people that you want to have around you, you know?
B
So I encourage everybody to just kind of take a step back, understand what's around them, and telling yourself, am I good here? You know what I mean? Because also, sometimes people can't even grow because of the people they're with.
A
100.
B
You know what I mean? Like, but you're absolutely right. You also, like, beggars can't be choosers type, right?
A
Yeah. You got to put in the work on yourself because just like, like, you want to be surrounded by good people and you want to be selective with your friend group. They also are going to be like that as well. You know what I mean? So it's like putting yourself in that position, and it's also. It's good for you. That's what. Yeah. Like, that's how you. It's like almost like the law of attraction.
B
Right?
A
Like, it's about, like, putting in that work. What's that? There's like a quote in. Oh, it's. I think it's like Pursuit of Happiness where he talks about, like, if you. Oh, no, no, no, no, no, no. It's Bruce Almighty, where he says, like, if you're going to ask God for more patience, is he going to give you more patience or is he going to put you in the position to be. To. To be more patient? You know what I mean? So it's like, that's how it works. That's what manifestation is. Like, when you have that if you want to be. You want to be successful, when the opportunity comes for you to be successful, are you going to step up? Because it's going to present itself. How are you going to handle that? Doesn't just do not follow your lap.
B
Yes.
A
You know, so it's like that kind of. That kind of, like, mindset.
B
I like that. Yeah, I like that a lot.
A
What a episode, bro. What are you thinking about, bro?
B
Yeah, 2026.
A
Were you gonna look something up, Jess? I kind of got thrown off a little bit. Were you. Were you looking up the quote? Yeah, yeah, I believe it's Bruce Almighty. You can. You can look it up because it's actually a pretty cool quote. It's just basically like, when you ask for things, the way things are presented to you, they're not just, like, given to you.
B
You.
A
They're given. They're presented to you in a way where you can step up into it.
C
Bruce Almighty. Morgan Freeman explaining that people. When people pay for things like patience or courage, God provides opportunities to develop those traits. Not instant fixes. Teaching boost. That divine help often comes through life's challenges, not by magically granting wishes.
A
Dude, that's powerful, bro. That's powerful. That was said. Way better. Shout out Google. I said that. But that. You guys, you get me. Like, yeah, like, really pay attention to the things that you want in life and when they're presented to you in a way where, like, you got it. Now it's the time to practice. I think patience is like the best thing. You're asking for more patience. When it's time for you to be. When you're given an opportunity to be patient, you gotta be. You gotta work at it. Not gonna just be granted to you, you know? Yeah. Anyway, I agree. I agree. That was the first episode of the man 2026. We're off to a hotel. We need to bring back. It needs to be like that.
B
Yeah. We also have new merch coming out also.
A
Yes. We're starting a broadcast channel on our Instagram. So if you guys follow La Platica on Instagram, subscribe to our broadcast channel or follow our broadcast channel.
B
Whatever it is, it should be ready already.
A
Yeah. We got some really exciting things and cool opportunities for you guys to get more involved with La Platica. I'll leave it like that.
C
That.
A
And they're amazing opportunities that we're excited to. To present to you guys. Yeah, yeah, subscribe. If you're not subscribed already, new episodes every single week for the next 52.
B
Weeks for your Whole life, dog. And, dude, you're gonna be filming one day. You're gonna have the Star Neural link on your face.
A
Yeah, I can't wait.
B
Yeah, I know.
A
I'm gonna be floating and that'll be tight. I'll be tight.
B
That'll be tight.
A
I'm not gonna even be here, but I'll be here.
B
I mean, technically, our chairs can be huge ass magnets. And there can be a magnet on our ass, too. And we'll just float.
A
Yo, none of this is could be even. Not like this is probably not real right now.
B
It's not.
A
This is all simulation.
B
Yeah, we'll talk about that another day. Because that's another thing I love to talk about simulation. You're part of my simulation.
A
You're part of my.
B
Ciao.
A
What's the right simulation like? Is it mine or yours?
B
Well, for me, it's mine. You know, You're. You're here. What if in mine put you there?
A
What if in mine I made you say it's yours?
B
I believe it. I've told you before, the universe is infinite. Therefore, somewhere in this world, somewhere in this universe, you'll never get to it. But somewhere, there's a world out there who. There's two dudes just like me and you look identically the same. His name is Sebastian. His name is Josh. They're probably even talking about the same thing right now. Because the universe is infinite. So the possibility is there and it's happening. Yeah, he might just have a bigger wiener than you.
A
I add 36 minutes to your life, grass fed baby.
B
I will always love you forever. Please, please be dirty with me.

The signature La Platica blend: Equal parts irreverent, candid, comedic, and emotionally honest. The group gently teases each other but lands frequently on meaningful, motivational themes about growth, friendship, and self-reflection.
A perfect “reset” episode: brimming with humor and banter but grounded in deep connection and real talk about what it means to live well and choose your people wisely.
