Yeah. I was looking at some stats about this season versus, like, last. And, like, last year, I believe they had, like, nine bombshells. This year, they only had three. Casa Amore came earlier than usual. There was, like, these things that they were doing that they were really trying to Build off of it.

And what's up with the producer dying?

The music producer. He's the head music producer of the show. Passed away, and they didn't really disclose how he passed.

It's really sad this year. Just don't.

Yeah. This. This season, I feel like I treated. I treated it more like background noise. Like, my girl wanted to watch it. We throw it on. I'd pay attention, but I wasn't, like, locked in, you know what I mean? Towards the end of Love Island, I always get a little disconnected, if I'm being honest, you know, because then I feel like they're just playing the game. It's just like they're already coupled up. The drama's over, you know, So I become a little bit more disengaged. Do you feel like that too, Jess, or do you?

Yeah, the beginning. The beginning's always a little better.

This was the first time that I didn't tune in, like, in the second half of it, but they lost me at, like, the halfway mark.

Also, my. My. My best. My. My Friends and neighbors, I think it's called. Been watching that. So many shows. So many shows. All these Netflix, you know what Netflix series that I'm, like, super obsessed with? Me and My Wife is my. My Worst neighbor.

Oh. Where they have, like, a bunch and they keep on repeating and they do, like, new seasons. It's so good. Wow.

You know what movie I saw recently? Have you guys seen it? Is it New Obsession?

Oh, my God. First of all, I finally saw it. The whole hype around that Movie is because they did it like super low budget, like under a million dollars.

[Sebastian]

Yeah.

[Josh]

Movies produce so much money. The acting in that movie, bro, is brilliant. The storytelling, the cinematography, everything about that movie is phenomenal. My girl had been wanting to watch it. I was not really super drawn to it. One I'm not huge on like Whore. I know it's not horror, but it's a little gory, right?

[Sebastian]

It's gory.

[Josh]

Yeah. And it's like they're being possessed, right? Yeah, that kind of, that kind of scares me a little.

[Jess]

But when I gave it a shot and I was like, damn, this is a really good film, bro. Is such a good movie. I was, I was so impressed by that girl's acting.

They always had you on edge.

They always had you hooked on to what's next. And you're right, there was only like a handful of actors that you would always see.

And it was great. It was, it's. It's such a good movie. And yeah, congratulations to that director and all the actors.

He's sketch comedy director. That's kind of how he got his start. Yeah. On YouTube, I believe he was like a sketch YouTube comedy director. And now he, he made this film. It's always, I always feel like it's like these comedians that have these like twisted ideas. Like look at the key and Peele.

There was like a lot of little. I'm just thinking about the film now, like, little comedy moments that make sense that the producer was. I'm sorry, the director, writer, was a comedian. Because, you know, even when she. He goes back in to find the wishbones, and the guy is like, so chill. He's like, whoa, dude, your chakras are off right now.

This past weekend, my mom has dropped some gem stories on me in my life. There's like five that come to mind. And when she tells me these stories, I'm like, this is insane that this, like, you got to experience this and witness this or be a part of this kind of like, story. This one, we were driving to Lancaster. I humble flex. I do like real estate flips with my mom and it's like one of my favorite things to do with her because it makes her so happy, bro. Being around somebody who's truly passionate about something and just being to be submerged in that passion is the coolest thing. And I like real estate. I love real estate. She is in love with real estate and she's in love with the process and helping people and just thinking about the people who are going to live there and that be their home. She is there, bro. She's everywhere when it comes to that. And I think it's really cool. But we were driving to Lancaster and it's kind of a far drive. It's like an hour drive. And then she literally goes, mo's in the Backseat. And she's like, do you guys mind if I tell you a quick story? We have a long drive, and this is a really cool story. I think you guys would, like, appreciate it. And I'm like, sure. And at first I'm like, I'm listening, right? But, like, it just hooked me on another level, bro. So she was telling me about how she recently went to Hawaii with one of her friends. I'm talking about, like, two weeks ago.

I remember you told me she went

[Josh]

to Hawaii and she brought one of her friends who didn't necessarily want to go on the trip. She was just like, whatever. I don't. She wasn't really feeling it so much. My mom ended up convincing her, saying, like, we're gonna have such a great time. Let's just do it. Let's get away. This will be fun. One of her other friends was also going to be on the island as well, and they were gonna. The plan was for them to, like, meet up at one point of the trip so they could, you know, kind of, like, vibe out, whatever, right? So they end up going to Hawaii, and towards the middle of the trip, they decide to hit up my mom. It's actually my mom's friends, my mom's friend that is already in Hawaii, right. So they meet up at a hotel that has, like, a little pool area, because they're just going to, like. Because they were sitting at Airbnb, my mom and her friend. So they went to this hotel so they can kind of, you know, have more of a. A different kind of experience. Bye. Bye. By the pool, get some drinks, whatever. And then so they're hanging out, and it's my mom and a friend who didn't necessarily want to come.

[Sebastian]

[Josh]

And they're hanging out by the pool, and her friend comes over and kind of chats with them a bit and just kind of checking in and make sure they're, you know, everything's fine. And she's hanging out for a bit. And then my mom realizes that, like, a lot of her family is there at the hotel. So my mom told her friend that was staying at the hotel, go hang out with your family. Don't feel pressured to be with us the whole time. Like, you go do your thing. So the girl was like, okay, cool. So the. My mom and her friend are hanging out, and her friend is, like, across the way, right? And she's, like, hanging out with her family and stuff. Her friend who's hanging out across the pool. Are you following so far?

And at the hospital, she decided that she didn't want the baby. So they immediately. I didn't know this, and this is what my mom had said, but they immediately took the baby away from her. Like, social services come. As soon as you claim that you don't want the baby, it happens instantly. They don't risk you, like, dealing or having the baby. They just pull the baby. So she has the baby. They pull the baby because she's like, I don't want it. And now the church, like, is trying to help out, and it's trying to help out. It's not. It wasn't the person who was a part of the church who gave up the baby. I know there's a lot of moving parts here. Hopefully you guys can follow along. I'm also reciting my mom's story. So, mom, if I mess up the story, please forgive me.

So as much as she would want to, like, take the baby in, it was. It's not realistic. So she told the pastor of the church, and then the church started, like, spreading the word, right? So my mom's friend gets this text message. Hey, if you know anybody who's looking to adopt a baby, please let me know. That lady texts. My mom, tells her. By any chance, do you know anybody who's looking to adopt? Are you interested in adopting a baby? My mom reads the message, and she's like, she's crazy. She's asking me if I want to adopt a baby. Like, apparently, there's a baby that's up for adoption. She's venting to her friend, telling her this. You know, that kind of cheese me on, though. Like, you know, she want, like. And the girl. The girl sitting next to her, like, flips out, and she's like, I don't remember the girl's name, but it's her daughter. Her daughter has been trying to have a baby, bro, for these past five Years. And they just decided this year that they were going to adopt. So they started the adoption process to try to find a baby, to build a whole room for this baby, praying to potentially have a baby. And my mom goes, holy shoot. Like, you're right. I didn't want to curse because I was like, this is such a beautiful story. You're right. She wants to, like, have a baby. I mean, what are the chances? But let's just see what could happen. So that girl ends up getting a hold of my mom's friend, who. My mom's friend got in contact with her, the grandma, and basically was like, this is a situation. The baby was just born. Could you get to the hospital right now? So she went to the hospital, met the grandma, the grandma kind of vetted her, essentially make sure she was like, normal and stuff. And she ended up meeting the daughter, the baby, it's a baby girl. And completely fell in love with her and ended up adopting the daughter that

day, bro, because thankfully she went on

that trip because the whole correlation of the story of like, my mom venting and telling, my God, my daughter is looking for a baby. And then it was like, everything happened so fast, bro. She pulled the baby out of the hospital. They did. The baby didn't even leave the hospital. And the girl got her, which is super rare apparently, in the. In the whole, like the adoption system. So this, I guess the service, whatever that services, they had to go to her house to make sure, like, everything was like, set properly. So she had majority of it set. But her whole family got involved and were like, making all these crazy moves happen to make sure that this room was completely set up for this baby. And when that social service person came, they were like, holy, like, you guys have been ready. Like, ready. And then, bro, my mom shared this photo with me of they wanted to give the girl the experience of having a baby. So they put her in the wheelchair. Like, you know, when the moms leave the hospital and they're in the wheelchair. And dude, that photo broke me, bro. She's like crying and it's tears of joy that the mom is right there with the baby. And by the way, the baby is so unbelievably precious. I can't even wrap my mind that somebody, anybody would ever give up their child, but a child. So, bro, cute little butt nose, red hair, like just most beautiful porcelain skin. It's. It was so crazy. I got to see if my mom would send me the photo because it is one of those photos that, like, if you saw this I got it. I got it. You ready?

Hard process. And not only that, I just found out that it's extremely expensive and they had been saving up money to adopt a child. A baby. And when you adopt, you don't get to necessarily pick the age. Right. You. Well, I mean, you kind of. You do, right? But it's like a lot of the time they're older. Yeah.

Found out the situation, figured out who do I need to talk to to figure out about this baby. Met the grandma, random grandma. She has no dude, there's no ties at all. Shows up to the hospital and is like, I, I want, I want this, I want to meet the baby, you know, meets the baby. Completely falls in love and is like, I'm taking this.

That's why she probably took the baby and she was the one who got the baby. Because the other questions and the other families were probably like, yeah, can we see pictures of the mom and the dad and this and that. She didn't even care. She just wanted a baby.

You know, because normally you. And I don't blame them, but there's a lot of questions, what baby is this? You know, almost like, what kind of breed is this baby? Like, almost like a, like a pet or something. Right. But she was probably so entailed into just wanting a baby. Doesn't care what kind of baby it is, what ethnicity it is. She was just down. That's why she got it. And that's a beautiful thing for sure.

It was also kind of like an emergency because like I said, I didn't know how strict they are. Like, when you say you don't want to be, bro, that baby could have been God knows where.

That situation was extremely, extremely rare, which is why everything had to happen so fast and why her family had to really act on that situation. And like, her brothers were going to her house to decorate the room. Make sure, like when that social worker came in that they were like, oh, wow, she's ready. There's no questions asked.
