Josh
You know we can't start off this podcast without talking about the number one rated ticketing app on the App Store, right?
Sebastian
Josh? Come on, man. What that app be, though?
Josh
SeatGeek, baby. How many downloads, baby? Why is it number one?
Sebastian
70,000 live events, 28 million downloads, and.
Josh
That'S no big deal, Guys, Seat Geek, thank you to our friends over at SE for sponsoring today's podcast. Sponsoring all the podcast, to be honest with you. Now, SE is a place we can go on a lovely, lovely date. Yeah, you can go to a lovely, lovely sports event like the Dodges. I just bought tickets for my family to go see Alejandro Fernandez.
Sebastian
You tell us every week, bro.
Josh
The Dodger game.
Sebastian
Are you going or is the Dodger game?
Josh
And I'm not talking about Vicente Fernandez like I did last time. Yeah, Alejandro, did you go?
Sebastian
Are you going?
Josh
I. I bought some tickets for my family.
Sebastian
Are you for real? Are you made this up?
Josh
Yeah, it already passed.
Sebastian
Did you use the code 1010 off your ticket to purchase?
Josh
Yes, I did. And guess what? What? It's my birthday tomorrow and I'm using Sea Geek to go to the Dodger game. To go see the Yankees.
Sebastian
It was your birthday.
Josh
To go see the Yankees lose.
Sebastian
It was your birthday.
Josh
It was my birthday. Yeah, but tomorrow's my birthday.
Sebastian
This whole month is his birthday. Guys, this code is not just for the birthday boy. The code is also available to you guys. Use the code LA PLATICA. 10 for 10 off your ticketed purchase. Only on SeatGeek.
Josh
Only on SeatGeek. And can I just say this? I'm in the birthday type of mood.
Sebastian
Oh, God.
Josh
For anyone's birthday that's in May or early or all my Geminis. Happy birthday. Big hug to you.
Sebastian
I like that. Happy birthday. Happy birthday out there.
Josh
Enjoy today's episode.
Sebastian
It's a special one. See you guys in 12.4 seconds. Starting.
Josh
Yeah, it really is special.
Sebastian
No. Is it starting now?
Josh
I'm going to use it.
Jessica
Let me be honest.
Josh
Every guest is a privilege.
Sebastian
Do we want to go there?
Josh
Get jolly.
Sebastian
Cuz I'm on a podcast with Josh Le.
Josh
Yeah, you have two mother. Ladies and gentlemen, let me just tell.
Jessica
You, this is episode 197 with Tyler McCann. Happy birthday. Salud.
Josh
Oh, my God. It's been another successful year, brother.
Sebastian
Happy birthday. Salud. And happy birthday to you, bro. Happy belated.
Josh
Wait, wow.
Sebastian
Your birthday was just like four days ago?
Josh
Yeah, it was, man. Yeah.
Sebastian
You had a great birthday.
Josh
I had a great.
Sebastian
Just birthday's all around, man.
Josh
A lot of people. I feel like birthdays start popping up a lot during May.
Sebastian
Yeah.
Josh
Yeah. But thank you, man. I appreciate it. It's been beautiful. 35 years.
Sebastian
35, bro.
Josh
Crazy. 35.
Sebastian
Crazy. Crazy.
Josh
I feel like I was just 33.
Sebastian
Like, what, a couple years ago?
Josh
I can remember when I was 10, bro. Honestly, a lot of.
Sebastian
Is that your first? Like, you can go back to 10.
Josh
I can go back to seven.
Sebastian
Wow.
Josh
Yeah.
Sebastian
You know that they say, like, when you go back thinking about, like, past memory, you're not actually thinking about that exact moment. You're thinking about the last time you thought about that moment. So it's not like you're like, reliving that you're reliving the last time kind of crazy.
Josh
That is crazy, baby. We got Tyler McCann in the.
Sebastian
Should we start the episode? I tend to do this now.
Josh
Let's. Let's focus on guys.
Sebastian
Ladies and gentlemen, welcome back to La Platica, the number one Latino podcast in the world. That is according to Google. And have you said that before?
Josh
Not in my 35 years.
Sebastian
In your 35 years, have you ever said that before?
Josh
Never.
Sebastian
I have never said that either. We have a very, very special episode. Before we get into the episode, we got some people we gotta shout out, like our friends over at SeatGeek, the number one rated ticketing app on the App Store.
Josh
The App Store.
Sebastian
You guys already know. This podcast is powered by Sasson Studios. Go follow Sabin. Birthdays are here, guys. And this is a very special episode. And this person that's. That's here with us today. As you guys know, I'm the co founder of Tay Saluth Co. Being there's another company and that other co is here and he goes by the name of Tyler McCann. Welcome back to the show, baby.
Tyler
Two time guest, two time guest reoccurring guest. Let me back on here. Made it back.
Sebastian
I feel like we should make it a tradition. Like every year that Saluth turns, another year we bring you back, we kind of recap on the year. I think it'd be fun for like the audience we're turning four years, right? Hence the letterman jacket, the my scene. It's our senior year varsity year.
Josh
Crazy how we don't have one.
Tyler
Yep. Yeah, we're.
Josh
It's my birthday.
Sebastian
It's your birthday?
Tyler
It's his birthday.
Sebastian
Yeah.
Josh
Yeah, he tends to.
Tyler
Nice salute. Birthday.
Sebastian
Yes. His birthday is all around.
Josh
Yeah, he's co founder too. I don't know why he doesn't have one.
Sebastian
He should have one. All right. But I got one. So we good. All right. Okay, bro.
Josh
Looks good on you by the way.
Sebastian
Does it?
Josh
It's. I love, I love.
Sebastian
I even changed my hat to make sure that the. I was going for a flow here.
Josh
I love that.
Sebastian
What's up?
Josh
I, I, I mispron. I mispronounced it wrong the other day.
Sebastian
It's a let.
Josh
Letterman, right? Letterman. What did I say? Leather.
Sebastian
You said. Yeah. You said like letter or like I said leather.
Josh
Yeah, I always thought it was leather. Cuz there's leather on it.
Sebastian
Right. You're not far off. But it's a letter because when you get into the varsity, they give you your letter and this is what you have to take. You have to take the physical letter in order to get your jacket. You can't just get a jacket.
Josh
I wouldn't know that.
Tyler
Yeah, you should walk them through the, the pouches.
Sebastian
Okay. So yeah, that's actually a great idea. So we actually have some custom patches that we have designed here. The. The Mexico and USA flag. That's first generation Mexican. And Tyler's full American. Little Mexican. And then we have the all day division. This is.
Josh
What's that?
Sebastian
All day division plays homage to our energy line that we have 200 milligrams of caffeine and L theanine for focus. And then we have number one first team. This place. Homage. Is it homage or homage?
Josh
Who cares, Tyler?
Tyler
I don't know.
Sebastian
That's catchy.
Josh
It's homage.
Sebastian
I think it's homage. Right? This place. Homage to Jamaica, which was the first flavor that we ever launched with June 7, 2021. Oh, that's my favorite one right here on this podcast. You tried it first time. That was the first bag you ever held was the Micah.
Josh
I'm so cool because I try the flavors.
Sebastian
Yeah.
Josh
On with the laboratory.
Sebastian
The silver dude. Yeah.
Josh
Like, if you like. Like, people say you like salutes, like. Yeah, I'm the one that takes them on the laboratory pouches.
Sebastian
Yeah, yeah. They're not even like.
Josh
I think I still have one saved out in my room.
Sebastian
It just is the name with like a Sharpie, like, I think.
Josh
Yeah, yeah. Oh, I like that.
Sebastian
Yes.
Josh
You paid homage to.
Sebastian
Yeah.
Josh
Well, how, Mike?
Sebastian
Easy, easy with that one. And then Lights Out. Sorry. The Lights Out Club.
Josh
Hold on. That plays homage.
Sebastian
Yes.
Josh
To the common sleep.
Sebastian
Yes. And I didn't tell you this, but in high school, my nickname for football was Lights Out Lava. So that's also a homage to you.
Tyler
Believe that he came up with all. With all these clearly, like, they call.
Josh
You Lights Out Laa.
Sebastian
You just call me Lights Out Laa.
Josh
Bro, Cuz you'd get knocked the out.
Sebastian
Well, what a loser. That's up.
Josh
You did not come up with all that, did you?
Sebastian
Yeah, I did.
Josh
Those are super clever.
Sebastian
Thank you, bro. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Josh
You liar.
Sebastian
Not. Okay, let me be specific. More than names. Not so much like the designs, actually, Alex came up with the designs and stuff.
Josh
It's so cool.
Sebastian
He crushed it with the designs. Yeah.
Josh
I love that jacket.
Sebastian
Maybe someday Tyler is very, like, he gets that jacket.
Josh
Or if I get. We get the same patches, you guys.
Sebastian
Can have the same.
Josh
We don't have any, like, personal homage.
Sebastian
The only thing I feel like I messed up on the jacket was I should have put the patch. I should have told Alex to put the patches on this side because this is my good side. And. Yeah. So. But it's fine. It works.
Josh
I'll have them on the right.
Sebastian
Yeah. Oh, this works, bro. Speaking of which, you have. Yeah, you're right. You have been a huge asset to the brand, Massively. Like you. We literally started announcing the brand on La Platica right before it was even out. I got the call you. We come on as a guest. Right? And I was like, bro, I'm actually starting a brand. Would it be cool if I, you know, kind of like, you know, know, shout it out, dude.
Josh
I wish that, like, we can go back into time and just kind of like record, like, video record that time where we didn't even. We weren't even talking about it.
Sebastian
Right.
Josh
On the actual podcast. It wasn't even recording this was prior. This was like him coming over. It was him talking about this guy named Tyler McCan. And I'm like, who the is Tyler? Never met him. He goes, McCann Bros. And I always say this, what a powerful last name.
Sebastian
It is a powerful.
Josh
I think any woman would like that, that last name to be her last name. I'll tell you that much.
Tyler
I can almost get into that.
Josh
Imagine if I can.
Sebastian
But, bro, I, I, I say all that to say that we are super appreciative of you and all the support.
Josh
No, I.
Sebastian
And all the love that you constantly show us. And you have helped elevate our brand in, in many ways. And we just want you to feel the appreciation of everything you've done for us. So Tyler and I have a very, very special gift for you, bro, that. I can't believe we're giving you that. I'm a little shaky about this gift.
Tyler
But please let me just say, like, when we did the initial. What's going on? What's going on? But when we did the initial collab, we talked about this moment and we're like, man, if that. But just imagine the day that we're gonna.
Sebastian
This has been in talks for a long time, bro. Yes, that. Forgot about that. Yeah. Like, one day going to give Sevas this gift and it's going to be insane. And that day.
Josh
Hold on. Do you guys feel about this shit?
Sebastian
Sevas, dude, you mean a lot to the brand, bro. And this is just a little token of our appreciation. So, Tyler, if you wouldn't mind pulling out the gift for you, Mr. PZ Poo. The man, the myth, the legend.
Tyler
Never been happier.
Josh
There's no way, bro.
Tyler
You gotta open it, man.
Josh
No way, bro.
Tyler
100 deserved.
Sebastian
Yeah, man. Just open up the box, please. I can't wait for you to see this watch as well.
Josh
Bro. I'm kind of shaking, bro.
Sebastian
Well, I've been shaking. We had this gift planned out for you, bro. You ready?
Josh
Oh, my God, bro.
Sebastian
Dude, I had to help this. I've been holding this. I. And I, I tell you everything. I just wanted to tell you. I was like, I wanted to tell you, but I couldn't tell you because I wanted it to be a surprise on La Platica before I open it.
Josh
I mean, I, I'm honestly, like, speechless, bro. Like, you know what? Damn, bro. I did not expect this to be the intro today.
Sebastian
You ready? How about that, bro?
Josh
How about that?
Sebastian
How about that?
Josh
Oh, my God, bro. Yeah, a Lefty Sprite.
Sebastian
It's a Lefty Sprite, Baby Lefty spray. I'm tearing.
Josh
This is too much, bro.
Sebastian
Yeah.
Josh
Honestly.
Sebastian
Yeah, you deserve it, bro. Like I said, man, we're so, like, appreciative of you. And we don't just say that. We wanted to, like, really show you in. In a small way, man. In a very small way.
Josh
But, like, yeah, like, thank you. Yeah, it's an amazing watch, but to me, it's just like, wow. I can't believe I have friends like this, you know? I can't believe I work with a brand like this. It's more that.
Sebastian
Yeah.
Josh
Like, yeah, this is awesome. This is cool.
Sebastian
Yeah.
Josh
You know, but it's more like, wow, I. I can't believe I'm surrounded with people like this that will treat me this way.
Sebastian
Yeah, bro, we.
Tyler
We talked about this last time. We joked about it how, like, a lot of times people assume that you are one of the owners of Salud and just is. As the brand's grown, it's been, like, super amazing just to see the way that you've, like, treated different people on this podcast. Like, I've. I've been watching the episodes, right. With Mark Cuban coming on here, just being so supportive of the brand.
Sebastian
Yeah.
Tyler
As if it's your own. So this really feels like the least.
Josh
Of course, bro. Of course. Always and forever.
Sebastian
Like I said, man. So take up that Apple watch.
Josh
You know, it's crazy. Like, I wear my Rolex a lot, and I was like, I'm just gonna, like, wear my Apple watch today. But damn, bro, this is crazy. I'm. You know, this is Lefty's probably, bro. Damn, bro. Thank you, guys.
Sebastian
Insane.
Josh
It means a lot, honestly.
Sebastian
Yeah.
Josh
And like I said, it's not really about what it is. I mean. Yeah, it is, right? It is what it is. It is what it is. But it, you know, for. For. For me to have friends like you guys and even the people around me here. It's a day before my birthday, obviously. You guys know we film in the. Kind of in the past. This leading up to my birthday, this leading up to me working with, like, a brand like Salu and, you know, being such a support since day one, seeing your guys's vision since day one once again, you know, me coming in here filming another, you know, Tessa, Lou, birthday year. All the giveaways that you guys have done, that we've done with, that we've collabed on.
Sebastian
Yeah.
Josh
Everything that we've done with the brand. And, you know, it's just. It's just a crazy feeling, man. And, yeah, Bro, like, you were saying, like, how I always rep and support the brand. Of course, bro. Because the brand, it's an amazing brand. Yeah. But it's the people behind it as well.
Sebastian
And, like, what Tyler was saying, bro, like, you. You do rep the brand, but you do it out of a place of love. And I think that's what means the most. It just feels genuine. To the point, what he was saying, like, people think that you're part owner of the brand and we. And we. You. You carry that with you. And that just means a lot, man. And that was our way of saying, time is money, baby.
Tyler
When we did this collab, the Sandia, I was thinking about this, man. It was literally me, you.
Sebastian
Yeah.
Tyler
Like, I think maybe your brother Aaron and then Mondo the photographer.
Sebastian
Yeah.
Tyler
Like, to the point where I was like, doing the post on.
Sebastian
On. Yes.
Tyler
There was such a small team and it came together so fast. And that was all because of you.
Sebastian
Exactly.
Tyler
Making it happen.
Sebastian
Exactly. Yeah, bro. I mean, we. Our first. Our first product we. We launched was with Jamaica number one first team. I'm like, right here, homage. And we came on the pod, came on the podcast a week prior to launching. And I think that was a huge reason why we sold out, like, the first day. It was just. Yeah, it was. It was. It was a team effort, bro. Yeah, you're buying from the jump.
Josh
From. From the jump. You guys collabed on the podcast with me. And, you know, from that, from the day you guys asked me, I did feel like it was my. My brand because, you know, my name's on it, but not as in, like, my brand, but, like the love I'm going to put to this brand is. I'm going to. I'm going to. I'm going to put the love as like, if it's mine. And I've always done that. And not only that, but, like, I. You guys can have. You guys could have gave. Gave me a collab and stuff and then just kind of like, okay, you're done. But you guys continuously just, like, made me feel like, no, you're always a part of it, you know, also.
Sebastian
Yeah.
Josh
So you know that I really appreciate that, honestly. I can't believe you guys got me this, man.
Sebastian
We wanted to start the episode off with a bang, bro.
Josh
And not only that, but like, it's such a beautiful thing for you as a co. Founder. A co founder, to talk like that, to. To put your money together and be like, let's do this for this person. That's an amazing thing that I applaud you guys for doing, you know, like, that's a really cool friendship thing to do.
Tyler
Yeah.
Josh
So I really appreciate that, baby. I mean, everything I do does turn into gold. Everything I touch turns into gold.
Sebastian
Yeah, man.
Josh
No, but, man, I really appreciate that.
Sebastian
Of course, bro. Absolutely. Thank you, bro.
Josh
Thank you so much. Thank you.
Sebastian
We got to get it adjusted to you, bro. Not a bad birthday gift either, too, huh? It kind of works out. Dang. Now I don't have to get you for your birthday, bro.
Josh
You know, it's funny. I think he was a little tipsy the other day, and he was like, hey, peasy, it's gonna be your birthday, bro. I'm gonna make you cry. And I was like. But I had no idea it would be, bro.
Sebastian
You know what's so funny, man? I told Tyler this because you. When you saw the jacket, you're like, you didn't give me a jacket. And I was like, no, Brian didn't.
Josh
Get you a jacket.
Sebastian
I was like, you're gonna get something better than a jacket. I don't.
Tyler
I don't know if I should admit this, but when we did the collab, that was the first year. Like, Josh and I, like, we weren't even really paying ourselves, so, like, we were honestly paying you first. And, yeah, now I. I gotta tell you, like, I don't have a Rolex, so you're getting a Rolex ahead of. Ahead of some of.
Josh
You know, that kind of makes me feel bad.
Sebastian
No, no, you totally deserve it.
Josh
It's. It's such a. You can tell a lot about who you are and your character for doing that.
Sebastian
Yeah. You know, so I'll tell you, I'll just fully expose. This is a more vulnerable podcast here. We. The plan was for all three of us to get Rolexes at the same time, but it was like, dude, the business is thriving, and I don't want to say that it's not, you know, but we want to just be smart with everything. I. One thing I appreciate about Tyler is, like, he's, like, all in on this, bro. And we both are, you know, and it just made sense at the moment to just. Just show our appreciation to you, and we know that, like, our time will come. I guess to say it, to, like, to put it, man, I appreciate that.
Josh
Guys, honestly. Honestly, I'm speechless. I'm speechless. I. When you guys were talking about it right now, I felt like something was coming.
Sebastian
I knew it. You literally. This is you, where you were like. And I saw your head tilt, like, a little Puppy.
Josh
Yeah. It's so crazy because I got.
Sebastian
I'm really.
Josh
I, I, I. I feel like Josh and myself were very giving as well, and I feel like it doesn't really happen for us, as much as we would like to. I mean, we never expect it.
Sebastian
Right, Right.
Josh
But when it does happen to you, it's like, I. I didn't know how to act.
Sebastian
Yeah.
Josh
And thank you, guys, man.
Sebastian
Of course, man.
Josh
That means a lot. It honestly doesn't. Like I said, it's not about.
Sebastian
Yeah.
Josh
What. What the. What it is, it's the fact that you did that. Wow.
Sebastian
Yeah. And the reason we got you the Lefty Sprite is because I remember a while ago, we were talking Rolexist. That was one. You were like, this is my next one.
Josh
Yeah.
Sebastian
So I had to be that one, bro.
Josh
Well, not anymore, baby.
Sebastian
I guess I got to get.
Josh
You guys are sick.
Sebastian
God.
Josh
Hey, I'm work 10, I think.
Sebastian
You know what?
Josh
This was for me to work ten times harder, huh?
Sebastian
Yeah.
Josh
And I will.
Sebastian
You need more post, man.
Josh
I will. I don't know.
Sebastian
No.
Josh
But, yeah, even, like, coming back to the conversation of, like, another year with Salute.
Sebastian
Yep.
Josh
Even myself, I'm like, man, the things that you guys have been doing so rapidly, I feel like every week there's something, you know.
Sebastian
Yeah. It feels like.
Josh
And I always. I might not be in the meetings, you know, but I'm so close with Josh, you know, on and off the podcast where we continuously talk and we talk, like, about personal stuff, about things that are going on. We don't just, like, talk about. And he tells me all these things, you know, and, like, I tell them all the time, and even if I don't, like, it's just an amazing thing that you guys do. And not only that, you guys are a brand that help people out who have changed people's lives, you know, and the fact that you guys can do that while offering a product that is saludable, which means something that's healthy, something that, like, people love, benefit from and benefit from, like, like, like greatly is a beautiful thing. I mean, you guys are hitting it from every corner. And, you know, I've been in those conversations and those FaceTime calls where people answer and they want to give away or they want cash, you know, what a beautiful thing, you know, and, you know, for people back at home, I think us from back at home, just me and people, we should give them a round of applause right now. Yeah.
Sebastian
We'Re blessed, man. And, you know, I think since there is so much going on I think Tyler and I have, like, this problem. We don't know how to. Like, sometimes it's hard to really, like, fully grasp everything that's happening. You know what I mean? And people will be like, dude, this is insane. And then like, when they're saying that, I'm already thinking about the next 10 things we have coming up, and it's just, like, hard to just take a moment sometimes, you know, even.
Tyler
Yeah. Like, coming into this podcast, like, let's talk about the last year. I'm like, thinking about what's going to happen in January.
Sebastian
Yeah, dude.
Tyler
And I've even found myself, which I need to do a better job of not doing this, but, like, being at, like, the less party, and you're just like, man, you need to like. And you've come up to me at the party and been like, bro, you just like, look around. Enjoy this moment. And I'm like, okay, is everything going okay? Like, is everyone happy? When's the next event? Like, it's just like, you're always thinking ahead, so you got to take those moments.
Sebastian
There's like a quote. But it's like, like five years ago, you were praying to be where you're at right now, and I have to constantly remind myself of that. I'm like, bro, I was praying for these kind of moments. Like, I'm. Sometimes I'm so overwhelmed, bro, of like, just busyness and every calls and meetings and then the podcast and all stuff. Like, today was one of those days and tomorrow we'll leave on a trip and stuff. And it's just like, man, I am so lucky that I get to be in this position. This stressed out position is almost. It's a blessing.
Josh
Yeah, we talk about it all the time. I feel like recently, I mean, obviously all of us, especially you too, but I'm mainly talking to Josh, so he's telling me his schedule. You know, we're trying to do meetings and like, oh, I'm not here, I'm not there. And then me and him will talking like, bro, I don't like being this busy, you know? Like, I don't. I don't. I. I feel like it stresses me out. And then we talk again and we're like, I know, bro, but, like, how blessed are we right now?
Sebastian
Yeah.
Josh
And especially you guys, too, with, like, so many things in the pipeline.
Sebastian
Yeah.
Josh
And like, you know, I feel like, you guys, there's always something in the pipeline and that's so beautiful. You know what I mean? There's always something going to come for sure. And, but it's also.
Sebastian
But, but just to add to that point too, bro, like it's, it's, it's cool to surround yourself with people that do have that work ethic mindset. This guy right here, bro, he's work obsessed. And it's taught me a lot. And it's pushed me to my limits as well. It's like when I think I'm doing a lot, I just can just look over and I'm like, this man is doing double that. Like, he's just on a different level, bro. It's so that's inspiring to like be around people like that that just push you and push, push you.
Tyler
You know, Luckily, I mean, we've built a team of people too, that have bought in.
Sebastian
Oh my God, absolutely.
Tyler
And, but no, I've been feeling that busyness even more so myself recently just because all the stuff that's going on with the brand and then sometimes it's like, man, you just have to like, take a deep breath.
Sebastian
Yeah.
Tyler
And just like calm down. And then like you said, like, this is why we started it, right?
Sebastian
For these moments.
Tyler
I mean, it's easy to be obsessed when you really are like having fun.
Sebastian
Of course.
Tyler
Really enjoying yourself while you're doing it.
Josh
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Cuz you, you, you kind of almost thrive and feed off that like good, positive, fun energy, right. That you know is coming.
Sebastian
And he also thrives off of. And I do too, like competitiveness, you know, like, he'll see like, like a brand doing something and it's, it's like it'll fire him up. He's like, oh, we'll just wait till he's. They see what we got coming. Share this. Yeah, baby.
Tyler
Like share this with our whole team and kind of like some people up playing sports, right?
Sebastian
Yeah, yeah. Like he'll sit on slack like something like a brand.
Josh
No. Yeah, I've heard about these stories.
Sebastian
They haven't seen us coming yet. Or he'll see like a little one liner or put in like the speech from Miracle like that. Oh yeah.
Tyler
The launch of Les was like, that was like our miracle moment this past year where it was like, all right, everyone's up, like a lot. Some people on the team were already up. I mean, we're up at like super early those days, just making sure everything goes perfect.
Sebastian
Website, there's so many like moving parts, man. But yeah, just to Tyler's point as well, like, we have an incredible team, bro, and I want to make sure that the team, bro, the reason we're able to move the way we do, because people ask us all the time. The most common question I get asked, like, how are you guys doing this? And I'm like, we have an army of team, and everybody is so passionate about this, bro. People treat this brand like it's their own. And. And. And we want people to feel like that, you know, it's like this. This family that we've created, and we do feel like it's everybody. We want to know, what are you guys saying? You know, what. What ideas do you have?
Josh
Yeah. And I think that's a beautiful thing that you guys kind of do is, like, you guys include their actual opinion as well. You know what I mean? Like, everyone's pretty important. Like, I. I speak with the whole team, and I'm like, wow, what a team. Honestly.
Sebastian
Yeah, yeah.
Josh
For the people that I speak with and everything. And like, for example, like, my point of contact sometimes is Betsy, you know, and she's such a sweetheart.
Sebastian
Yeah.
Josh
She's so down for the brand. And anything I need, you know, she gets it done. And anything she needs, I'll try to get it done for her, you know, so asap. So, yeah, it really is. And you guys, we're all fortunate to have that team that you guys have. It's so fucking good.
Sebastian
For sure. Yeah.
Tyler
I think one of the best things we do and anyone who has a team or at work, like, this is a way that you can, I think, just make a better culture is that on Tuesdays we do the team calls. And it's what is personal, best, professional and a thank you.
Sebastian
Yeah.
Tyler
And just having everyone on one call, it's like, you may not work with somebody, but if you're getting a thank you from them, like, it just way to show appreciation. It's a way to also see, like, what people are doing in their personal life as well as, like, what's important to them in their job. Like, hey, I didn't know this guy was working on complaints or this issue came up. But, like, you know, I've gotta, like, show him respect for, like, doing that, because it's completely different than what this other person does on the other side of the business.
Sebastian
Exactly. And, bro, we have people from across the country that work from us, like, all over, you know? Yeah, yeah. So we don't, like. He said we don't get to work with these people, like, closely. All of us are remote. So those calls are, like, super meaningful. And I think they do rally people up and does create that culture of, like, we're all in this Together, you know, you're seeing those calls.
Josh
Yeah, yeah.
Tyler
There's in general, like showing gratitude people around you.
Sebastian
Yes.
Tyler
I mean, that's kind of the moral of the.
Sebastian
Yeah.
Tyler
The call in a lot of ways.
Sebastian
Exactly. So we'll end the call where you have to say a thank you and you have to say to one specific person. And a lot of the times people are like, I have multiple thank yous and like, you know, people do it and stuff. But it's really cool, man. It's really cool. And I think to your right. I think that's a good point for anybody, like starting a business and building a team around them, like to really rally and create that culture around the team, especially if they're working remote. I think it's a good. It's a good call. It's a good call.
Josh
Yeah. Damn. I don't even know what to say. I keep thinking like, damn, these guys really got me a.
Sebastian
Holy. I don't want to be that.
Josh
Cuz everything's being recorded. I don't want to be that guy that keeps looking at it, but I want to look at it, you know, like, damn, bro. Unbelievable. Unbelievable. Yeah.
Sebastian
Yeah. The whole day we were kind of been talking about like in Whispers and it's like you just have really. Yes, bro. Yes. Like, so Rob actually helped us, like get the watch and stuff. And then like, we had to figure out just to like have it and you not see and Tyler, how we were going to give it to you. And then when we went to the car, they gave it to Tyler to put here. It was a whole mission, bro. And you over here, clueless, bro. No idea.
Josh
Well, yeah, because I don't really. I don't really like, expect anything, you know, Like, I'm just living my life.
Sebastian
Yeah.
Josh
Got here late.
Sebastian
Yeah.
Josh
It's my birthday tomorrow, you know, Like, I'm just like. I'm just happy to be here, I guess.
Sebastian
Yeah, man. Yeah.
Josh
I really appreciate that, man. Thank you guys so much.
Sebastian
Of course. Yeah, man. It's been an incredible year. We're super fortunate. Going back to like the last collab. That was insane. Let's do makeup. Has been a huge part of. Oh, thank you, Jess. Jess actually put out a beautiful timeline for us. The Dioro collab was. Wow. Yes.
Tyler
Mind you, that came out of this podcast, of course, in a lot of ways. I mean, that probably doesn't happen for. If not for this podcast.
Sebastian
Yeah. Yeah, bro. We. I do feel like in the old studio and we built a. Relate a beautiful relationship with him that led To a. A Salut collab.
Josh
Yeah. I will give it to this podcast that it does, like, really make good connections, you know, transcends. Yeah, it really. It brings good vibes out there, good energy. So that translates.
Sebastian
Yeah. June 24, 2024. Sorry. We had the Dior collab. Passion fruit. Phenomenal flavor.
Josh
Phenomenal.
Sebastian
It was limited. Well, I don't know. We'll see what happens there. But February, we had the Less to make up collab and we launched two lines. We did a hydration and an energy line.
Josh
Yeah, we tried them here live.
Sebastian
Yes. And you guys, did you guys have them in the little packets, too? Did I prepare them for you guys in little packets? I think I did.
Josh
I think so.
Sebastian
Yeah.
Josh
I think so. I think we did both.
Sebastian
Yeah. Yeah. Great time. We have, like, we're trying to get, like, people's opinions. Like, have the team try it. Let's see what they think. Yeah. And then in April, we had or Coachella, which was our first, like, brand event where we brought out, like, a handful of influencers, you being one of them with. With Karen, of course. And that was insane, right? Like, the party, being in the house. Like, as a creator, like, you've been to a lot of brand events, right? I have as well, but I've never held one. But I'm very curious on, like, your perspective on. On at the. At the house.
Josh
Yeah, no, I mean, you guys did it super well. First of all, house was amazing.
Sebastian
You know how people would just go back to, like, sampling flavors would be like, what? What do you think? And we don't think they're going to tell us the truth. I'm like, and you loved it, right? You know, lie to me.
Josh
No, it's fantastic, man. You guys picked an amazing location.
Sebastian
Yeah. That was all Tyler, bro.
Tyler
You guys did it well on the location. But after that, I didn't do anything. And that actually leads to another. Thank you. Just to our AM Amazing event planners.
Sebastian
Yes, bro.
Tyler
The Stay golden team. Which, yes, by the way, I'm pretty sure also came from a connection through you. Yeah. So, you know, all of our events, they've really been behind it. And Josh and I are, you know, the ones planning out all those little details in the house.
Sebastian
Not at all. Well, like, you know, obviously ask us for our opinion and stuff like that, and we get there, we're just like, mind blown.
Josh
We're like. I don't know if people know this, but Karen's old manager at Mac Cosmetics. The stand where they, you know, Mac, Sabrina, stay golden. Sabrina was Karen's manager.
Sebastian
Wow.
Tyler
Crazy.
Josh
I know. And look at Sabrina now. She's doing so, so good. Follow. Stay golden, by the way. If you guys.
Sebastian
Absolutely.
Josh
We'll get the at and stuff like that.
Sebastian
Yeah. But they're phenomenal.
Josh
First of all, they're. It's a sister.
Sebastian
Dynamic.
Josh
Dynamic duo. Amazing people, and they throw amazing events.
Sebastian
And they make us look really cool.
Josh
They're very attention to, super attentive to detail.
Sebastian
Like, I didn't know it gets, like, that detailed, bro. Like, it's like they think about things.
Josh
That you won't think about.
Sebastian
Yeah. They're like, you see the cup? Like, oh, yeah, it's cool. Lift the cup. Did you see inside the cup? When you slip the cup, it's like everything's branded.
Josh
Yeah. And then you're like, spit out your ice and you spit it out.
Sebastian
There's like, the logo, and then it just like.
Josh
No, but I mean, Coachella, you guys were attentive to everything and attentive to every person that was there, making them feel like a rock star, and you guys did that, and I think that's the most important thing that you guys can do. And not only that, you didn't force anybody to do anything. As in, like, you got to go here, you got to go there, and I think that's really important as well. On a branch up, it's making people relax, making people enjoy themselves, making people, you know, have fun.
Sebastian
Yeah.
Josh
And that's exactly what everybody did, bro.
Sebastian
It was really cool for me because, you know, I believe it's Patrick Starr. He has a brand called one size. It's him, right, Jess? He did, like, a post where he was talking about how no brand has ever invited him to, like, a Coachella brand trip. So he created his own brand and brand trip, and I was like, holy, me too. It was really cool to have that, like, surreal moment. I never been invited by a brand, so we created a brand. Now we. We.
Josh
We throw, man.
Sebastian
Yeah, man. It's badass. I think we got to go on break. We're getting. Okay, we're going break. We'll be right back. We got something quick. So last time Tyler was here, we really dove into, like, salud stuff, and we could touch on that a little bit. But I want you guys to know Tyler on a different lens. All right.
Josh
Yeah.
Sebastian
This man is single. That's all I'm going to say. I'm scared for what's happening, man.
Josh
They got me a Rolex.
Tyler
Damn.
Sebastian
Kind of crazy, bro.
Josh
Thank you, guys.
Sebastian
We'll be right back.
Josh
We'll be right back.

Josh
By the way, Matt, those transitions that you do when it's commercial time and stuff, Phenomenal. Yeah, I love those transitions. Like, have you seen the recent ones? Like, bro, like, it's just so good and flawless. Yeah. But, like, there's, like. There's, like, special effects. It's sick.
Sebastian
At the end of each episode, Matt, he grabs, like, a sound bite, and it's like a little Easter egg of, like. And we don't know what it is. So every, like, episode, we're like two. We just scroll all the way to the end, so to find out what the little sound bite is. So for this one, very curious. So now you'll know. Just go all the way the last, like, two seconds.
Josh
All right. And we're back.
Sebastian
We're back, baby.
Josh
And we're back.
Sebastian
How you feeling, man? Come on, man.
Josh
Bro, honestly, I feel like a million bucks, bro. Honestly, this Rolex is. It's so. I'll show. Show everybody. It's just so cool.
Sebastian
It's loud, bro.
Josh
It's beautiful, man. Thank you, guys. Honestly, honestly, this, like, means a lot.
Sebastian
Yeah, man.
Josh
And you know what? It.
Sebastian
What? You got me one, too.
Josh
A lot of people.
Sebastian
Just.
Josh
Just two leatherman jackets. A lot of people think that I'm, you know, co owner or a part of it, which I am a part of it.
Sebastian
Yeah.
Josh
But you know what? One thing that I could do is throw discount codes whenever I want.
Sebastian
All right?
Josh
Right. So I don't care what you guys say. I feel good. Taste Salud's. Birthday code.
Sebastian
Okay.
Josh
Why don't we do 20 off? Sometimes we do 10. Why don't we do 20 off site wide?
Sebastian
Okay.
Josh
Why don't we do 20 off site wide? Why not? Guys, 20. I don't care what they say. 20 site wide.
Sebastian
No, I love it.
Josh
Using code.
Sebastian
I love it.
Josh
B day 20.
Sebastian
That works. We can get it set up. Yeah. A little bit of pressure, but we could do it. Yeah.
Josh
Texas team and not 10. 20.
Sebastian
All right, bet. As of right now.
Josh
As of right now, code is live.
Sebastian
This gives us a little bit of time since we're shooting, you know?
Josh
Yeah. Code is live.
Sebastian
Okay, bet.
Josh
Let's do it site wide, though.
Sebastian
I love that.
Josh
Site wide.
Sebastian
I love it. B day 20.
Josh
B day 20. Is that cool? Is that in all caps or don't matter?
Sebastian
No matter.
Tyler
I don't think it matters.
Sebastian
Yeah, Call them and say it don't matter. It don't matter, bro. Love it.
Josh
Happy birthday. Taste I lose.
Sebastian
Thank you.
Josh
I feel like we share the same birthday, even though it's next week. Technically, like, the same birthday.
Sebastian
Cool. I love it. 20% off site. Yva. 20.
Josh
Taste. I love the Gemini.
Sebastian
Is it technically. Is it falling in Gemini?
Tyler
June 7th.
Sebastian
Oh, I kind of hate that. Sorry, dude.
Josh
Te salute. Happy birthday.
Sebastian
Yeah, I wonder if anybody, like, launches a business. Business due to, like, the zodiac sign.
Josh
Somebody probably.
Sebastian
I'm pretty sure people have done that for sure. No, we can't launch that date. Why? Because it'll be a tourist.
Josh
But we're cool with that. 20.
Sebastian
Wait, you tor. Yeah. No wonder that came to mind.
Tyler
You can do that?
Josh
So is this, like, a thing?
Sebastian
This is a thing, bro.
Josh
Cemented.
Sebastian
Love it. I love it.
Josh
20 off site wide. Use code BDAY. 20. Just like that. Cassava said. So.
Sebastian
Yeah. All right.
Josh
And because it's Tesla Lou's birthday, and it's my birthday, too. 20 off.
Sebastian
Yeah. I love it, bro.
Josh
Okay, let's do it.
Sebastian
All right, cool.
Josh
See, I can do like that.
Sebastian
You do this. You do that. Yeah, that should be. That should be fun. Wasn't that up?
Josh
Cool, man?
Sebastian
All you do is just say and things just happen.
Josh
I'm gonna start saying all the time now.
Sebastian
Watch.
Josh
You up? Because now I'm part of the brand. No, but let's continue, dude.
Sebastian
So we. I would. I had the idea of, like, ingraining something in the back of the watch, but I'm like, I think that you don't do that on Rolex. Right? Yeah, it's probably. No, no. Okay. That's why I didn't pitch you.
Josh
I would have accepted it no matter what, because it's not like I'm ever gonna give this away.
Sebastian
Right. Right. I. But it would depreciate the value, I.
Josh
Guess you could have put in the bag. Tyler McCan and Josh Lea gave you this.
Sebastian
Don't ever forget.
Josh
And I think that would have been sick.
Sebastian
Just on the front of the watch.
Josh
Just scratch the out of it. Yeah.
Sebastian
No.
Josh
Once again, thank you guys so much.
Sebastian
Of course.
Josh
It really means a lot, bro. Honestly, that was, like, really caught me off guard. And I was looking at you guys, and I look over here, and they're, like, putting their phones out, like, oh, you guys are in it too. Oh, that's cool. Thank you, guys, man. You guys. You guys have great taste.
Sebastian
Well, come on, man. You know.
Josh
Salute.
Sebastian
Salute. Salute.
Josh
But, yeah, so many things have happened, right?
Sebastian
Yes.
Josh
I want to kind of continue talking about what's been going on.
Sebastian
Absolutely. Cool. Jess actually put together this beautiful timeline for us.
Josh
You already said that.
Sebastian
Yeah, but she not only. It's not just time. Like, look. Look at these little. Like, she put a collage for us, bro. Like, this is insane. This was at the LES collab. I'm sorry. We're here. We're at les, right?
Jessica
Wow.
Sebastian
There's some cool photos.
Josh
Whoever takes your guys's pictures does such a wonderful job.
Sebastian
That. That'll be Pedro.
Tyler
It's Pedro.
Sebastian
Are you talking about for the.
Tyler
Behind the.
Josh
All of them? All the photographers, videographers. You guys have.
Sebastian
Yeah.
Josh
Do an amazing job. And they capture. They capture. I love who I love who I love. They capture the brand the way it should be captured.
Sebastian
No, bro, we're very fortunate.
Josh
Oh, you know what else we forgot to put there when I did the cycling thing with Salud. Oh, that was.
Sebastian
Oh, that's right.
Josh
Let's just, like.
Sebastian
That video was pretty badass, bro.
Josh
That video was sick.
Sebastian
Yeah.
Tyler
That guy sponsored after that or what?
Josh
I look like an athlete.
Sebastian
You do.
Josh
Well, I am an athlete. Well, but, like, when I did that video, and obviously I was with Pedro and Fernie, which are their videographers, they killed it, man.
Sebastian
Bro, those guys are.
Josh
They made me look like such a badass.
Sebastian
Talented. And they just keep raising the bar, dude.
Josh
Yeah.
Sebastian
Yeah. Pedro has elevated tremendously. Obstacle lens. He's beast, bro. Yeah, you guys are beast for sure. They make us look cool. It's everybody else making us look cool, bro.
Josh
That's such a badass video, bro. I was like, oh, my God. Like, when he showed me that, I was like, that's me.
Sebastian
Yeah, it's all cgi. That wasn't really you, bro.
Josh
But I told him, I was like, bro, this is the stuff that I need to do like monthly, bro. Like we need to do that monthly.
Sebastian
Yeah, absolutely.
Josh
Like it's. It's so freaking cool.
Sebastian
Let's make it happen.
Josh
Yeah. And like, not only that, like, not just like to like make me look good, but that's what the brand is for, is for performance as well, bro.
Sebastian
It's for all walks of life. That's the beauty of the brand. It's for anybody who, who's anybody and is looking for like an edge. Whether I just be like an extra bump of endurance, hydration, just trying to enjoy like, you know, their water.
Josh
I do so much. I do so much cardio, bro. And like right before I do any of that stuff, I at least I honestly get those big old essential water sometimes that I have like cuz they're long pause.
Sebastian
Yeah.
Josh
And I put two packs in there and I just use all that hydration, bro. All the hydration and I just drink it and. Because I know that I need it immediately. And it tastes phenomenal.
Sebastian
I know.
Josh
That's the thing. It tastes phenomenal.
Sebastian
Yeah. Yeah.
Josh
There's other brands out there that's like, oh my God, what is this? You know, And I don't mean to.
Sebastian
Like on other brands and we can cut this out if we're not feeling it, but bro, like just building this business with Tyler, like we. I. He's been in this industry for, you know, over 10 years, right? So he knows what it is. Like develop a product from the ground up. For myself, it was like, it was a learning curve, right? Like sampling and like learning how to give feedback. Right. And it's just. And like comparing to other brands and stuff. And I just realized like tasting other brands and just being more aware of like the flavoring and stuff, I'm like. It almost feels like other brands don't care about that. Those kind of things that we really, really, really do care about, bro. So it's just. It's crazy. To your point. It's like other brands. I don't know. I don't know what goes behind the scenes over there, but I'm like, do you guys care or do you guys just not know what tastes good?
Josh
Ain't that crazy?
Sebastian
Yeah. Yeah. No, don't get me wrong. There's a bunch of other brands that have it figured out as well, you know, just as many.
Josh
Of course. Of course.
Tyler
See, bro, I mean that's the audience. They. They all. They all like, Salud. Like, it is the best tasting. I. I mean, I'm obviously very biased, but find one better, bro.
Sebastian
On the go. Hydration sticks.
Josh
I literally find one better.
Sebastian
I do not think there's a better T brand than Salut. Than taste. Salut. Yeah. I do not think there's a better tasting brand. And I say that with my full chest. And this has nothing to do with anything. If we were. If I didn't create and somebody else had created and I tasted our product, I'll be like, those guys.
Tyler
So just imagine what they're like. They're like, damn.
Sebastian
Yeah.
Tyler
We'd have to go for a second, cuz.
Sebastian
Yeah. If.
Josh
If you guys would have restarted this all over again and somebody said, like, hey, what would you do differently from the jump? What would that be?
Sebastian
Wow.
Josh
Like, if everything erased, bro.
Sebastian
So I'm gonna.
Josh
Because are you. Are you guys confident that you can do it again?
Tyler
There's like. I mean.
Josh
I mean, yes. Right. The answer would be yes. Right.
Tyler
But, like, I mean, there's so many, like, circumstances that, like, there obviously was a lot of luck involved, like, the time.
Josh
That's what I'm saying. That's Covid.
Sebastian
Now.
Tyler
I'm not saying we could do it again, but I like, to answer your question, I don't think I would necessarily change anything either. Like, it just worked out.
Sebastian
Yeah. Talk about, like, rebranding and how fortunate we've been that we've never had a rebrand. Because this is a really cool point. You. You've been around companies that.
Tyler
This is like, revamp, bro. I think, honestly, at this size that we're at, where if you. You've seen our product at Target, at Walmart, cvs, we have the same packaging that we had on the day that we launched. And I mean, I really can't take credit for that. Like, at least all the credit, by any stretch, is that our designer, Kevin, who's been with us from the beginning.
Sebastian
He'S a beast, bro.
Tyler
That there's something to be said about that because, like, once you start rebranding, it just. People start to get distracted. And you see rebrands from big companies. I think the probably the most popular one out there right now is hbo has gone through all these rebounds.
Sebastian
Yeah. And now they're back to HBO Max.
Tyler
To HBO Max.
Josh
And there's such minimal changes, too.
Tyler
So minimal. And I.
Sebastian
But they make a difference, bro. They make a difference.
Tyler
They do. But also, like, I've having worked at a company that's doing rebrands all the time, it's like you can get in your head.
Sebastian
Yeah.
Tyler
Oh, the customer's gonna notice it.
Josh
This.
Tyler
It's like, bro, nobody even knows who you are. And. And you're on, like, your third rebrand. I know.
Sebastian
You know, you're focused on the wrong things at the moment.
Tyler
Go back to the flavor, like you said.
Sebastian
Go back to the heart of it.
Josh
Tyler, for people who want to start, because you've been like, obviously your. Your background is this type of business. Right. For people who want to start back at home. Doesn't have to be a hydration brand. Is there any tips you can give them? For example, like, don't get too caught up on the logo. Don't get too caught up on this. Is there anything that they should focus on? Like, what's their number one priority to focus on right now? Starting a brand.
Tyler
If it's like a consumable brand, I'd say, like, taste is always most important. Like, you could have the cleanest, greatest product ever, but if it doesn't taste good, people are. Maybe they'll try it and then they're not going to tell their friends about it. They're not going to come back.
Josh
Because the key is to keep repurchasing and something.
Tyler
I'll say just broader scope of, like, even how I got into the industry. Like, if somebody really wants to learn an industry or do something. When I got started in college, I was an unpaid intern. And I was just. Literally knew. I was like, I was telling you before this, like, I wanted. I. There was a supplement brand that I kind of noticed was in Denver, which is where I lived at the time. It was called Muscle Farm, and they were hiring interns, unpaid interns. It's like, well, I already have something going on. This is my senior year, but I'm gonna just, like, throw my hat in the ring and see what happens. And there's a lot to be said about just, hey, if you really are passionate about something, you might have to put in time in the early days where you're not getting paid. Even when I started getting paid there, it wasn't like, as much as I could have got at some flashy job fair job that, you know, would have sounded impressive to my friends. But that's just the moral of the story is like, hey, get around the right people. Learn. Learn the connections and learn the business. And then you don't know what's going to come from that.
Sebastian
Right.
Tyler
Like, years down the line, I never knew at that time I would be doing my own company, but I Just kind of put myself in a. In the right position to learn. And then, of course, years later, like, those skills are. And that those learnings kind of came to fruition in the business.
Josh
Wow.
Sebastian
That's. Yeah.
Tyler
And a lot of people don't. They don't get a. They don't get a learn on somebody else's dollar. Right. So, you know, we. We've avoided a lot of mistakes that I made previously or that I saw other people make in my past career.
Josh
Yeah, yeah. No, I was gonna say, like, I feel like a lot of people nowadays, they have, like, this pride where it's like, no, I need to get paid. I need.
Sebastian
Right.
Josh
They don't want to put in the time, because at the end of the day, sometimes these people that are hiring you to be an internal, they don't need to do that. And they're giving you free knowledge as well. And I would say that's more than. Than a check.
Sebastian
Yeah. Yeah. That has no value. The knowledge and experience you can gain is worth more than whatever you're getting paid now.
Josh
Yeah. And I feel like people lose opportunity because of that pride.
Tyler
Being in our position now, I can say this, that if you're like, I was an intern, but now I'm on the other end of that. If an intern starts at salud and they're, like, getting after it and they're providing value, like, they will quickly, quickly not become an intern, and they could be, like, very important.
Sebastian
Yeah. We're not going to lose out on those, like, opportunities for people who come in hot and are hungry, you know? Yeah. And even people that we have on the Salute team now are colleagues of Tyler that were previously working with him, which we're super fortunate enough because we have. Dude, we have, like, beasts around us. Like, just people just constantly elevate us. They always. Something they mentioned. A common trait that people will say about Tyler is he was the first one in, first one out of the office. So that's, like, another thing. What did I say? First one in, first one out. Well, Tyler, that's not what I heard. I'm only repeating what I heard.
Josh
Okay, so first one in, last one. Took the information. See ya.
Sebastian
He's like, watching the coffee. Come on.
Tyler
Free snacks.
Josh
Yeah.
Sebastian
Last one in. No, first one in, last one out.
Josh
First one in, last one now.
Sebastian
Yes.
Josh
The perfect employee.
Sebastian
My point is work ethic, bro. Right? Like, putting in that. Putting that time, putting in that work to make it happen. Yeah. Something is super cool. Like, when I hear, dude, sometimes I feel like the universe is Works so beautifully and just aligns you with the right people at the right time, you know? Like, his story is, like, so aligned with mine. Like, when I first started with. With Super Ego, bro, for one year, I just watched and learned and absorbed and soaked everything I could. And I took that as an opportunity. I'm like, bro, this is. I'm so lucky to be able to be in this position. I'm a fucking grind and just take everything I can. And I think that's beautiful. Of just, like, just putting himself out there to be like, how can I. How can I learn from this, you know, and then go above that? So now not knowing that he was basically training to be an owner of a brand. Yeah, I was gonna say multimillion dollar brand, but, yeah.
Josh
I definitely want to talk about all the things that happen, but I feel like let's talk about something very basic to you guys that might not be basic to people back at home. And I know it's kind of. It might be a long process, but can we kind of walk through how a flavor is made and like, the, The, The. The kind of the. The steps or the process of elimination?
Sebastian
Yeah.
Josh
Can that even be talked about? Is it a secret?
Tyler
I think the best flavor, like you want, you could take this. But just thinking about, like, how we approach the horchata flavor, Absolutely the most in depth we ever.
Sebastian
For sure.
Josh
Got it. So because, like, people are like, back at home, like, yeah, you put in a stick. But, like, how does it, like, work?
Sebastian
For sure, like, it's definitely above our pre grade.
Tyler
Take it from the very top. And the point that I was like, bro, I need to show you these flavors. So first off, we're just going to go check out these spots.
Sebastian
Yeah. So when we were, like, developing the brand stuff, I really knew that I wanted, like, highlight the Latino culture, you know, I just felt like they were completely missing in the market space. And I pitched this to Tyler. I was like, bro, we got to create something around these, like, flavors and the. The product. At the time, I didn't really know what it was going to be. Could have been a pre workout everything, but he was the one who brought up the hydration. But when we were in the process of developing what our flavors were going to be and taste like, Tyler was pitching me the ideas of going, like, the margarita route, like, maybe like, doing something like those kind of lines. And I was like, no, bro, we got to do agua frescas. Like, these are not in the space at all. Right. He said, what exactly do those Taste like. So I was like, well, I gotta take it to the hood, my boy. So we jumped in my lowrider, right? 69 Chevy, hit the hydraulics, all right. Put on some easy E. Cruising down.
Josh
The street in my six foot.
Sebastian
Yeah. And no, but we really did that, bro. We really took it. This is before we even. We were developing, like, the name. We probably didn't even have a name at the moment.
Tyler
I don't think.
Sebastian
Like, who knows? But we went to taco spots. I took him to, like, King Taco, just introducing him to these, like, flavors that he was slightly aware of, but didn't really, like, fully grasp what they were. So specifically, horchata was one that I was like, bro, we got to launch a hydration horchata. Now that we figured out we're going to do a hydration line, right? We're like, we got to do. We got to really lean into these. Lean into these flavors. The Jamaica and horchata, like, those are it right there. When we went to our manufacturers and we were like, these are the flavors that we want to develop. There's, like, the starting point. It's like, we want to give them a benchmark. We want to let them know, like, this is what we would like it to taste like. In the beginning, we didn't necessarily give them a benchmark. I want to believe. I think we gave them, like, a slight reference, not the very beginning.
Tyler
And we're like, okay, they're off the mark.
Sebastian
They're off the mark.
Tyler
You gotta bring in the real things.
Sebastian
Yeah, yeah. So those people, they're called R D, right? That's R D flavor research and development. So they're the ones that are doing, like, the flavor and stuff like that. It's not us. It's not us in a lab coat, like, mixing these flavors, you guys aren't.
Josh
Like, crushing in a molcajete.
Sebastian
Well, in the beginning, we were. No. So when we. When we. When they start. When we started sampling flavors specifically horchata, they just weren't getting it at that point, even Tyler was like, they don't get it, bro. Like, they don't understand. It needs to taste like horchata. Like, hitting that R. Like, I've never seen him, like, the order. I was like, oh, I'm still working on it. Pissed, bro. He was pissed. After he knew he was hooked, so we went back, back and forth, trying to figure out. And then one day, he was like, dude, we need to go in to the manufacturers, and we need to take them what we wanted to. Exactly Taste like. Because they are totally missing it. And we went to a King Taco and we ordered, like, I don't know, like, four horchatas, the large ones. And we walked in with a tray, and we were like, this is what it needs to taste like. We.
Josh
They have such good horchata there.
Sebastian
They do. The horchata is amazing, bro. It's amazing. And lo and behold, we were there for, like, maybe like an hour, and they kept going back and bringing us different samples and stuff. And there was at one point where they brought one out, and we both looked at each other, we're like, they got it. They got it, bro.
Josh
Yeah. Even. Even when Josh was telling me about the horchata flavor. And it's. It's your most popular flavor, correct? Well, one of them.
Sebastian
It's become.
Josh
Yeah, it's become.
Sebastian
Become. Yeah.
Josh
To me, I thought even that was tricky to make that flavor, because horchata is. It's almost like a milk base. So we're mixing it with water. Right. Somehow you did it, bro.
Sebastian
You know, it's funny they say, like, everybody thinks you're crazy until it works.
Josh
Yeah.
Sebastian
That was one of those where I would pitch that before this brand was anything but, like, we're doing a hydration horchata, and they're like, how's that going to work? Like, it just didn't make sense to people. I want to say it's something really cool. When we were sampling those flavors, our manufacturers, they brought us out milk to. To drink with the Horata. Right. But traditional Orchata doesn't use milk. And I was first, I thought I was like, this is a little odd, but I'll play the game. Like, you never know. Like, we'll try it. And actually tasted pretty good. Right? Full circle moment to where we're at right now. There was a viral trend that went super crazy on Tik Tok where people were mixing fair life, which is milk based. Right?
Tyler
Protein shake.
Sebastian
Yeah, protein shake. The core power. Thank you, Tyler. Specifically with the horchata. And they were making horchata protein. Now, horchata protein already exists, but doesn't have the hydrating and immunity benefits. So that's what kind of really made us, like, separate even more. And that dude, that skyrocketed. Horchata, like, it hit, right? But it didn't hit the way it has been lately, just because. I don't know. It's just sometimes it depends on how it's packaged. And that was one of those situations where, like, how it's packaged and Presented.
Josh
I saw that. That went viral, bro.
Sebastian
It was insane.
Josh
Tick tock. And I was like, dude, why don't I come up with this? It's such a good combo, dude. You know what I mean?
Sebastian
Yeah, yeah.
Josh
And like shout out to the people at, what's it called? Fair Life.
Sebastian
Fair Life. Core Power.
Josh
I wonder if they like, knew about it too.
Sebastian
They had to have, bro. Right. It went like insanely viral.
Tyler
They're pretty massive though. They're owned by coke. So sometimes I'm just like, yeah, maybe.
Sebastian
They don't care, but yeah, yeah, bro. Like we see like everything, right? Like we're in the weeds of it. It's just Tyler and I, like, we like oversee it all, you know, so like these major corporations, there's so many heads and moving parts and stuff like that. I'm sure things get lost.
Tyler
We can move faster because of that.
Sebastian
Yeah, exactly. Yeah.
Tyler
See something, we do it, we jump on it, like immediately go.
Sebastian
Yeah.
Tyler
We film you on the bike, you know?
Josh
Yeah.
Sebastian
Day's notice, we could throw up the birthday code out of nowhere. 20 was an offside wide.
Josh
I'm start using it. How long are we going to use it for?
Tyler
I'll figure it out.
Sebastian
Yeah, we'll figure it out.
Josh
Tyler, obviously, like with the brand and even like the people behind it, it's super Latino influence, right? Is it you not being Latino? What's something you got to say about the, like, the. What you've noticed about like the Latino community?
Tyler
So I guess what I'll say is that the last time I was on here, yeah, I was like, pretty nervous because that was the first time I had ever been sort of like had a spotlight on me and I was a little nervous that people might not think the brand is as authentic, which I didn't actually like get into the spotlight really, like three years in.
Sebastian
Right.
Tyler
So that's a pretty long time to be behind the scenes. But just the amount of love that I got after that episode, it really like just gave me so much more confidence about everything we were doing and just. Yeah, it's been incredible to learn more about the culture from you going to all these events, events that we've been a part of. Like you said, I love micheladas. Like just everything about the culture has been incredible and I just like. Yeah, I don't. I don't even know what to say about that. Like, it's just. It's been amazing, bro.
Sebastian
I've said this. I think I said this last time. I was, I was on. He was on. Sorry. He's just fully embraced it. And he has this, like, curiosity and openness to like, learn and. And just like. And fully educate himself on, like, how to really represent it in a better way, like each and every single time, you know, like. And he just. Bro, we got him wearing botas now. Like this.
Josh
Who's hauled in, dude, Mexico jersey.
Sebastian
Yeah, yeah, like, damn.
Josh
So you look good. Like the long sleeve golden black one with both those on.
Sebastian
Yeah, yeah, I like this.
Josh
No, it's really cool.
Sebastian
That's why he's invited to the Carnesada, bro. He's throwing the car's throwing it.
Josh
Yeah. I asked because, you know, you're so involved now and you know what I mean? And obviously I know that our people are beautiful. It doesn't even have to be Mexicans. It's. It's everyone. Salvadorians, Guatemalans, Honduranos, every. The whole thing. Peruvians, Colombians, you know, the list goes on, cuz everybody drinks the product. And I know that they're such beautiful people and that we're literally the most beautiful ones. And I just wanted to see, like, what was your reaction to that? You know what I mean? Like, something that you've learned from that.
Tyler
You know, there was so many people that were just saying, like, thank you. I'm so glad that you met Josh. You brought this to the market. So that was just like a beautiful experience. And yeah, it's just like I said, the more time that's gone on, I've gotten like, more and more confidence.
Sebastian
But you know how you were saying you wish we can go back in, like, that time? I wish I can go back and just remember how, like, appreciative and, like, curious Tyler was when we were sampling these flavors out and about, like, those are the moments I wish I can go back because it was nothing, bro. It was just a thought, a dream, a hope. And we were sampling. He was just so excited. Just even be like, ordering tacos and like all this stuff. Like, that was. That was really cool for me to see him, like, embrace it and love it and just see, like, wow, this needs to be out there. This needs to be out there.
Josh
So Tyler, is there a flavor that's like non agua fresca that you would love to do one day?
Tyler
We've kind of done some of them. I mean, like, the. The. Like he said, we. I was originally pitching the. The margaritas and the palomas, which are great ideas.
Sebastian
They're phenomenal.
Tyler
It was not the starting place, but.
Sebastian
It wasn't the starting place. Yeah, yeah.
Tyler
So for me. What about like, a watermelon margarita is like. You gotta try that. If you haven't.
Josh
Oh, I tried all of them.
Tyler
Yeah.
Josh
Would you ever do, like, a Moscow meal? Imagine an old fashioned salute. Holy.
Sebastian
Yeah.
Tyler
Somebody on our team actually pitched a mojito, which could be interesting.
Josh
Yeah, I like that. I like that idea.
Sebastian
Yeah.
Josh
Why did I already think that that was, like, a flavor already?
Sebastian
We have a lot of flavor, so I wouldn't be surprised.
Josh
Yeah.
Sebastian
Yeah.
Josh
What's your. What's your favorite flavor right now? Top two still the.
Tyler
The patch. N1.
Sebastian
It's timeless, bro.
Josh
Timeless.
Sebastian
Yeah.
Josh
Mine's Mandarin.
Sebastian
Yeah. And Sandia Mandarin is a special one.
Josh
It's just. It's just very hydrating for me.
Sebastian
Right?
Josh
It's very hydrating. Like, I drink that and, like, I crave, like, that Mandarin flavor and the Sandia flavor. When I'm thirsty or when I'm out running or when I come back from cycling, I just crave that.
Sebastian
Yeah. My top five changes quite a bit. You know, a new flavor will come in. I'm like, man, this. This might be in my new top five, but my top one is always how Mike as well. And I don't think that will ever change. We can come up with the greatest flavor, and I think I'm just, like, so stuck on it. It's just too. It's just. It's just too meaningful to me.
Josh
I was obsessed with the energy Guayaba one for a minute. Was it guayaba with something else or was just straight guava?
Sebastian
Just guava. Yeah.
Josh
Guava. Oh, my God. That was delicious.
Sebastian
Yeah.
Josh
That was like a flavor that really just punched you in the mouth.
Sebastian
Yeah.
Josh
And I like that. Like getting punched in the mouth.
Sebastian
I know you do.
Tyler
All of the collab flavors, I feel like we've really delivered for. Surely delivered.
Sebastian
Yeah. I'll never forget. I think you were in the car with me and we had just dropped your collab Sandia, which is. That's in my top five as well. And this is the. That's. That'll probably be my top three for a minute too. Legend had called me, huh? I think you're in the car. And he goes, why would you give this flavor up, bro? He's like this.
Josh
I even told you that.
Sebastian
Yeah. He's like this. Y' all should have kept this one. He's like, y' all. Y' all messed up, bro.
Josh
I told him that I love, of.
Sebastian
Course, but it was so funny. He's like.
Josh
I was like, damn, bro, you gave me, like, sandia Sandia.
Tyler
Yeah, he's still here.
Sebastian
Still here, bro.
Josh
Still here, bro. And I'm like, you sure about that? Yeah, no, bro, but it all worked out, man.
Tyler
Yeah, it all worked out.
Sebastian
Yeah, you're right, bro. We. We definitely have delivered with the flavors, especially with the collab one. They've been insane. Insane.
Josh
Well, we got to go on a short little break again. Yeah, it's.
Sebastian
We're moving. It's.
Josh
It's moving, bro. It's moving. We'll be right back.
Sebastian
Let's do it, baby.

Tell you're a man with many hats on. Is that what they say?
Sebastian
Many hats?
Josh
Yeah, they could say that a man that has. That wears many hats. I've never said that before saying it to you. Of course I'm saying it to you. Right? You're a man who wears many hats. What's your favorite. What's your most favorite thing about your job?
Sebastian
What's your favorite hat?
Josh
Can I get one?
Sebastian
Can I buy a hat? Just don't understand the question, like, what?
Josh
Tyler, you have so much responsibilities and you're somebody who's always on it. What's your most favorite thing about your job?
Tyler
I would say my favorite part is just watching something go from an idea to the finished product. And then honestly, then even seeing, like, our customers, like I said, getting those messages like this the whole all the way through. I know that's like a super broad answer, but even just like, using your flavor for as an example, right? Like, okay, we're going to do this collab with him.
Sebastian
Yeah.
Tyler
What's the flavor going to be? Okay, we decided, like, we go through the flavoring process. We think it's good enough to share with him.
Sebastian
Right.
Tyler
Maybe we have a couple of rounds that gets approved. Then we're working with the. The designers. Just having, like, your hands in every little part of it. And then it's just such a process. Then even, like, I'm not in the content a lot, but even I get excited when I see, like, okay, we're booking this location. Yeah, we have these models. We're going to shoot here. And then seeing the guys, like, we mentioned, behind the lens, they're editing it. It's like, I just get, like, super hyped up. Maybe these guys are, like, working late at night. The edit comes in at, like, past midnight, you know, and you could tell they've been grinding. And then that even just gets me more hyped up. And then we're chatting with the team, right? And, like, figuring out, like, okay, what's the best order to post it in all the little details and seeing it on site. So I know that's, like, a very broad answer.
Sebastian
No. Yeah.
Tyler
But, yeah, I don't know. I would be curious. Your. Your answer to that.
Sebastian
Damn. I'm a. I'm a. I'm a creative, so I just love the creativity of, like, of this product of, like, even just, like, the. The designing of the bag. Like, seeing Kevin, like, get to work and presenting that, I just love it because I know, like, the time that he puts in, like, how his mind works, and I just love seeing the beauty of what he does come to life. And then once we have the product ready to go, shooting the content, figuring out how we're gonna do it. And now we have an incredible team that creates, like, mood boards for us. Right. So we're going into shoots knowing exactly what it's gonna look like. When we first started, bro, we were literally. Tyler was talking about. He was, like, in charge of, like, posting stuff and coming up with the captions. I remember me and Mondo were literally coming up with content. Day of the day we were going to post, which seems pretty, like, normal, but when you're, like, when there's so many moving components, like, where we're at now, there's no way in hell we can do that. So just doing that and being a part of the creative process, like, I love directing, and I know you see how I get, like, so, like, amped, like, that's when I feel my most alive and, like, passionate and to be able to do it for something that belongs to me, to us. It's just the coolest thing in the world, you know? Like, I get to share my creativity in mind to the world and in a product that I truly love and believe in.
Josh
Yeah.
Sebastian
Yeah.
Josh
And I see that from both of you guys, the passion that you guys have, especially when you guys have, like, dinners that you guys invite me to sometimes with you guys's team, the way that you guys treat the team, talk about the brand, like, it's very authentic.
Sebastian
Sometimes we need to, like, chill out, though, because I feel like when me and Tyler get together, all we do is talk about. Salud, bro. Like, all the time. Like, and even sometimes I need to, like, like, turn my brain off because I'm like, okay. I need to, like, just forget about it. But it's so easy to get wrapped up into it.
Josh
Because it's a fun conversation.
Sebastian
Exactly. It's such a fun conversation. This is so exciting for us, bro. Like, we're like, we're in it, and it just keeps getting better and better. So it's like, that's all I want to talk about because I'm like, this is the coolest thing that's happening in my life. It's one of the coolest things besides love, I think. Of course. But it's, like, it's so exciting, you know? So. Yeah. And I know, Tyler, you probably have deal with the same thing too, right?
Tyler
Like, you're just like, yeah, absolutely, man. Like, like you had said earlier, like, we're. We were dreaming to be in this. Yeah. And just even some of the stuff we have coming up this. The month of June.
Sebastian
Yeah.
Tyler
Like, I think, like I said this last time I was on here, but this is truly, like, some of the news that we have coming.
Sebastian
It's just saying, bro, we have come to. It's crazy.
Tyler
Talk about a dream. Dream.
Sebastian
Yeah. Something that. Yeah. Full circle moment. It's wild. I hate when people do that. Like, you have no idea what we're going, but we can't necessarily say it, but soon enough, like, a couple of weeks, you guys will find out. But it's wild. Something cool about Tyler is like, he. Most of the time, 80%, 90% of our conversations are about work. Right. Salud. Stuff, ideas. But it's fun, dude. It's like, not like, it's, like, fun, like, ideas, concepts, giveaways, all that stuff. So cool. But then he'll, like, switch, and then he'll. Because he's one of my best friends as well, he'll tell Me something that's going on in his like, dating world or it's something he's excited about outside of it. And I get so intrigued. I'm so invested because I'm like, wow, this is like 10%, 20% of our relationship. I'm so in. Right? And he has such an interesting, curious. I think it is, bro. Because like, he's single ladies, right? And he's in the dating world, right? Like he's out there dating and I get to hear about like this stuff. I. I don't say live vicariously because, you know, I have a great situation, but it's like I get to hear these like, cool stories, you know, it's sometimes not so cool stuff. Like, but those stories, I'm like, damn, that's kind of crazy, bro. And it's just really cool. So, like, seeing that side of him is like one of my favorite parts. Parts about like working with him as well. Just like the other side. Which is why I think that we should put him into a little segment we like to call perspective of a Man.
Josh
Okay, I like that.
Sebastian
How about we do that?
Josh
Yeah. Perspective of Tyler.
Sebastian
Perspective of Tyler. Tyler is a 34 year old business owner. Okay. From Santa Monica, California, single, 63 and rich. Ladies and gentlemen, perspective of Tyler.
Jessica
Before we get into that. Sorry to interrupt you.
Sebastian
Sarah.
Jessica
Tyler, what's your type? Like the girlies want to know.
Sebastian
Look at the blush you do. See, this is my favorite Tyler, bro. I love when white people blush, bro. One of my favorite things you said on the vlog of the Coachella vlog, you're like, damn, we ain't gonna get in trouble. We around white people.
Josh
I said that?
Sebastian
Yes, bro.
Tyler
Watch it back.
Sebastian
Oh, yeah.
Tyler
I can say this honestly. This is not like a great answer, but I, I honestly, like, don't have a type. But you know, like, maybe sometimes more than others. I don't know.
Sebastian
His type is girl. His type is girl type.
Josh
Is girl type.
Tyler
That's not. That's not a great answer. Maybe the audience doesn't want to hear.
Sebastian
But do you feel like you gravitate to a specific type?
Josh
Yeah. Like, do you like girls with accents?
Sebastian
Like girls colored eyes?
Josh
Yeah.
Sebastian
This smile important to you?
Tyler
You know, like, if you look at the, the history of the girls I've chatted with in the last couple years.
Sebastian
Yeah.
Tyler
They fall into like two distinct types. It's either maybe more of like the audience of this podcast.
Sebastian
Okay, okay.
Tyler
Or maybe my son that just look more like me with blonde hair, blue eyes.
Sebastian
That is really like when you like, show me, like, like the girls stuff. I'm like, okay, so Latina or she's.
Josh
Now it. That's her type. Either white or Latina.
Sebastian
That's what it is. Yeah, well, that's. But he's also open. But that's what he gravitates towards. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Josh
Well, that's what. They gravitate towards him, too, though.
Sebastian
You said it. Yeah. I will say this without getting into too much detail. There is a. You know, like, Latinas could be crazy, right? He's definitely dabbled into the crazy Latinos. And I'm like, so chill. I'm like. And he's like, bro, it's not say. I'm like, that's all right. Not that crazy. No, that's it. Expect it. He's like, holy, dude.
Josh
Do you feel like there's, like, a big difference with, like, personality?
Tyler
I guess so maybe on the part he was just talking about, like, there could be some more, like.
Josh
Yeah, a little bit more spicy.
Sebastian
That's what it is, bro. Is that spice?
Josh
They're just spicier.
Sebastian
Yeah, I like spice. Load it up, baby.
Tyler
My spice tolerance is better than. Yeah, I think, bro.
Sebastian
His spice tolerance is pretty crazy, bro.
Josh
Really?
Sebastian
Yes, dude.
Josh
You like spicy food?
Tyler
It's gotten better.
Sebastian
It's gotten better.
Josh
Okay, so we're winning.
Sebastian
Yeah.
Josh
Can't stand when people don't like spicy food. Or tomatoes.
Sebastian
Or tomatoes. Yeah. He's not a picky eater.
Josh
You're not a pick eater at all. Thank God you like tomatoes.
Tyler
I like tomatoes.
Sebastian
Yeah. Don't look at that.
Tyler
There's nothing I want.
Josh
Some people in this room don't like.
Sebastian
Tomatoes, but we won't say their names.
Josh
Or lamb chops. Well, let's get into the questions.
Sebastian
All right, Jess, are you ready?
Jessica
Do you mind if I ask Tyler a few more questions?
Josh
Oh, my God, No.
Jessica
I wanna, like. I'm doing the girly pops a favor. Like, getting to know who he is before he answers it.
Tyler
Yes.
Josh
That's why you're here.
Sebastian
Exactly.
Jessica
So are you actively, like, pursuing a girlfriend right now? Like, are you dating or are you just kind of letting things happen?
Tyler
That's a tough one because, like, with all the stuff we have going on with. Salud. It's taking up a lot of my attention. But this, I mean, I've been telling Josh even that, you know, definitely not getting any younger, and I definitely am open to finding that person to date more seriously. So I've been trying to, like. It's like, hey, if you don't make an effort it's not going to happen. So I definitely am trying to, like, go on some dates.
Sebastian
Yeah.
Tyler
Here and there.
Sebastian
Yeah.
Tyler
Honestly, mostly from the apps and a lot of times not the most successful from the apps. So. Yeah, like, we're busy, as you said.
Sebastian
Yeah.
Tyler
But it's like, hey, you got to make time.
Sebastian
Yeah.
Tyler
If you want that to be a part of your life.
Josh
Yeah.
Sebastian
Yeah, it's good.
Josh
No, sorry. I was just saying one interesting thing that I kind of find out, I found out recently. Obviously I don't date. I'm not in the dating world and it's been a long time, but I, I was kind of surprised of what some people would say is a good first date, what some women say is a good first date. And so a lot of women say a good first date is not at a restaurant. It's not like at those places where, where both of you guys are isolated in one area. It's more like, hey, let's, you know, meet me at the bar, let's get a drink and then, you know, fill it out. Because the whole thing is like, if they don't want to be there anymore, if it doesn't work out, I guess they'll just escape, which is smart. Yeah, I never think like that, you know, in the movies or like, you know, back then I used to think, yeah, you take them on a nice date, you know, you go to the movies. No, that's totally wrong. I guess that's like not a thing.
Sebastian
Not entirely wrong, but I think it's just. It's a case by case scenario, I would say. You know what I mean?
Josh
I was going to ask what's a perfect first date?
Tyler
A lot. I mean, this wouldn't be my first. I mean, I haven't done this on a first date, but there's a reason why there's like run clubs now. There's a lot of things that aren't really got it around. Drinking it is a little bit like, I guess not annoying, but like it's like a lot of times on a date, right, you're kind of expected to have drinks and like loosen up and so I know you guys, like, I mean, we have our moments here and there, but we're, we're trying to be like healthy grinding. So like sometimes those things, two things, especially with the business, they don't always go hand in hand. But yeah, I mean, if I had to be honest, like, like you just the classic dinner date, like somebody stepping up, making a plan. I guess it's more about the vibes of the the place that you pick as well, you know, you don't want it to be, like, overly fancy or overly casual, but somewhere, like you said, where you can get to know somebody and it's not, like, such a big stage.
Josh
I like that.
Sebastian
But let's just say, like, somebody was, like, been around and maybe there's been a little bit of tension between you two. Like, maybe it's, like, brought through like a friend. Right? Like, let's just say Jess had brought a friend around. Tyler's been hanging out with us for a minute, and then one day they've been. They've known each other for, like, a few months, and then one day he goes like, hey, we should go on a date. That date's gonna look a lot different than somebody he just, like, hits up on an app. You know what I mean? Those are the times where I think maybe it might be more appropriate to pull up with flowers and a nice dinner day, because you guys already have that rapport. You know, the.
Tyler
The problem with the apps, especially in.
Sebastian
La, I just keep throwing. Bro.
Tyler
The problem with the apps, especially in la, is that everyone is messaging or has multiple messages.
Sebastian
Yeah.
Tyler
So if you're going on a first date, you know, it's like, how do you know this person doesn't go have a date tomorrow, the next day. The next day?
Sebastian
Or like. And I'll answer that question for you. They do. A lot of people. I mean, there's options, bro, and that's not always the best thing, you know?
Josh
Yeah. Yeah. Cool. Jess.
Jessica
Yeah. I've heard that. Dates on dating. On it. Sorry. I've heard that dating apps are tough. Like, I wouldn't know. You know what I mean? But so also, going into, like, what your needs are, do you feel like because you're so busy, you're looking for a partner who's equally as busy and, like, has things going for themselves or, like, would you want someone who is also just gonna kind of not necessarily, like, be around when you're available? You know what I mean? But, like, kind of, you know, I don't know.
Tyler
So just speaking to other business owners, like, obviously you can have a super successful business and be married or have a girlfriend. And so I guess what I'm looking for is that is somebody that is supportive of that. And maybe they don't necessarily need to feel like, like, I'm giving them more attention than the business, but in a lot of ways, they might actually be elevating the business because of. Because of their support. So I've heard plenty of, like, I said successful business owners say, oh, actually, because of my wife or my girlfriend.
Josh
Yeah.
Tyler
I'm actually able to do even more. So it's just about, I guess, like, finding that right person. But I definitely don't want to give off the impression that, like, oh, he's just too busy, because you can't, you know, like, you do have to prioritize things that are important to you, and that would be, you know, that relationship as well as the business.
Sebastian
Yeah.
Jessica
Lastly, before we dive into the actual perspective of a man, would you consider long distance relationships or do you prefer someone local?
Tyler
I wouldn't rule it out, but I can't say that. I'm like, super interested in long distance, but I wouldn't rule it out, but I feel like it's kind of tough.
Sebastian
That is tough. Long distance is hard.
Jessica
Okay, well, thank you. I hope the girly pops back at home. I feel like they know Tyler a little bit better and what he's looking for. And then we're ready to dive in, I guess.
Josh
I love that. Yeah, let's dive in.
Jessica
Okay, so this first submission is Anonymous. Age range 25 to 30. I love yellow flowers. I always have. I brought this up to my partner on a few occasions, and he almost always gets me non yellow flowers. He says I should be grateful that.
Josh
He has so easy.
Jessica
He says I should be grateful that he gets me any type of flower. Does he not care about me enough to listen to my preferences? Am I too picky? It's not a huge deal, but it does make me a little sad because, you know, it's the little things.
Tyler
Well, I will say that some people are more detail oriented than others, but the fact that he's actually making an effort to get flowers is definitely a good gesture. I'm pretty detail oriented, so if somebody told me that that was their. That was their favorite color flower, like, I probably wouldn't mess that up. But I'm sure there's plenty of girls that maybe they're not getting anything. And just imagine if you're in that situation, you know?
Sebastian
Right. Like, at least you're getting flowers. Yeah.
Tyler
So, I mean, yeah, it's. It's minor, but some people just. It probably isn't even thinking about it.
Sebastian
I know, I know. But when you have it like that, bro, pay attention.
Tyler
That's pretty easy.
Sebastian
That's pretty pretty.
Josh
That's what I'm saying.
Sebastian
Like, bro, you're fumbling.
Tyler
I'm not supporting you in, by the way.
Sebastian
No, no, I totally get you. I totally.
Josh
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. But I. I definitely agree. Like, if.
Sebastian
If.
Josh
If that girl tells that to another girl who never gets flowers from her.
Sebastian
Man, her perspective is different.
Josh
Is. Is your problem really that big?
Sebastian
Right, Right.
Josh
But homeboy already has the answer to the. To the test.
Sebastian
Yeah.
Josh
Like, bro, sometimes I. I get stumped sometimes, cuz, like, I get flowers for my wife as well sometimes. And I'm like, well, which ones do I get? Which ones were. Like, do I do the white flowers?
Sebastian
You like that?
Josh
Yeah, no, because. And then I'll Google sometimes too. Like, you know what color. What means what color? Yeah, like, and it doesn't always have to be roses. Sometimes I want to switch it up, put some, like, different stuff in there. Yeah, the guy that we had on the podcast not too long ago, too. Oh, my God, he's gonna kill me. Juan, that bouquet was. Is insane. You know what I mean? Like, if you give a. A young lady that. Like, that's crazy, right?
Tyler
That was Lupitas.
Josh
No, no, some other guys. I gotta show you that bouquet. Yeah, it's a beast. It's like no bouquet like this. Yeah, he's probably gonna get mad that I'm even calling it a bouquet.
Sebastian
That's not bouquet. It's an art piece.
Josh
It's an art piece. Literally. Yeah, but dude, if my wife said I like yellow flowers, bro, I'm like, if anything, I'm giving her more flowers now, literally, like bi weekly, weekly, every day. Yellow, yellow, yellow. You know what I mean?
Sebastian
So my girl specifically, she likes. She loves peonies. Pink flowers and peonies. That's her jam, bro. I. So I buy her peonies and I.
Josh
Can see which ones are the peonies.
Sebastian
Peonies are like. The flowers are like. They're like a.
Josh
Like a ball.
Sebastian
Like a ball.
Josh
But peonies, same thing.
Sebastian
Peonies. I think they're called peonies.
Jessica
Yeah, I think.
Sebastian
I think penis is how you pronounce it.
Josh
No. Okay.
Sebastian
Yeah, my girl loves those flowers.
Josh
I think my wife likes it. So I like those flowers.
Sebastian
They're beautiful flowers. They're not always in season and they're very, very expensive.
Josh
They're not always in season.
Sebastian
Per. Per peony.
Josh
Per ball.
Sebastian
Per ball. I've bought her those flowers. She loves it to the moon. Right? Jumping around made her life. Right. But then I'll buy other flowers and she loves flowers, but it's like, oh, she like, you know, she gives me like, oh, thank you. But. So it's like, it's. For me, it's obvious. Peonies all day.
Josh
Yeah.
Sebastian
I don't miss.
Josh
Yeah.
Sebastian
You know, and. But sometimes, to your point, I'm like it like, dude, should I switch it up? It's like, bro, once you got the answer. Yeah.
Josh
If my. If my girl like yellow that much, I'm getting her a fat sack of, like, a bouquet of bananas.
Sebastian
Yeah. Delivered by the yellow Power Rangers.
Josh
Yeah. Straight up bananas, bro.
Sebastian
Look at this.
Josh
And a couple flowers in there.
Sebastian
But that's a great answer, Tyler. I know, but it's all perspective, right? Because, like, she's writing in. But then you thought about, like, what about the girl who doesn't get any.
Josh
Flowers to her from her man and she's in a relationship. Yes, yes, yes. So.
Sebastian
So it's like, about, like being grateful.
Josh
Yeah.
Sebastian
At least your man is showing you love and in that way. And I. And I get that it sucks that he's not being specific, but maybe he just. He. That's. He's just doing the best he can.
Josh
Yeah.
Tyler
If he's not doing that, I mean, there's probably some other.
Sebastian
Right. He probably goes deeper. Right? Probably goes deeper. Yeah.
Tyler
He might be forgetting.
Sebastian
I mean, you got to pay attention, bro.
Josh
Maybe he hates yellow.
Sebastian
Yeah. Huh.
Josh
Maybe he hates the color yellow. Next question.
Tyler
Maybe he's allergic.
Sebastian
Yeah.
Jessica
Do you think porn is considered cheating? Why or why not?
Sebastian
Damn Jazz.
Josh
Oh, my God.
Sebastian
Off the fact.
Josh
Tyler, it's okay. If you want to skip it.
Jessica
We can. If you want.
Tyler
I mean, I can answer it. I'm not in a relationship, but. But also, like, I would say I would just err away from it. Like, I don't think it's going to lead to any good behavior, even if you're in a relationship or not. Like, I think even as being single, that's not going to lead to any bad good behavior.
Sebastian
So I would agree.
Tyler
I would avoid it. Like, there's no good that can come from it.
Josh
Yeah, absolutely.
Tyler
Yeah.
Josh
Is it cheating? Yeah. Is it cheating, though, if you're in a relationship?
Sebastian
Is it cheating, though?
Tyler
I don't know. Now, you guys. I don't. I feel like a lot of girl. Like, I don't know you. I think maybe you could chat about it with your.
Sebastian
For sure.
Tyler
With your girl.
Sebastian
Yeah. Just. And I think it's one of those situations, like, you might not consider it cheating, but if my girl does, then that's what it is, bro.
Josh
Yeah.
Sebastian
That's just what.
Josh
Everybody's different.
Sebastian
Exactly.
Josh
Because there's relationship. Like Shan. Shan that just came. I think she watched this born with her man.
Sebastian
With her man. Yeah.
Josh
And they're super healthy about it. You know, it just. It just depends on the relationship.
Sebastian
Right.
Jessica
All right, this next one came at.
Josh
You hot right now, bro.
Sebastian
How do you feel about that?
Josh
Hey, my boy just got me a Rolex.
Sebastian
You're watching poi, Tyler. I'm like that.
Josh
Talk nice to my boy. He just got me a watch.
Sebastian
Who wrote that?
Josh
I think, look. I think she did. Says Jessica Age.
Jessica
No, just a little variety, you know.
Sebastian
It was like.
Josh
It was like straight up, like, I don't get yellow flowers.
Sebastian
Right. You watching porn? It's porn.
Josh
Cheating. Yeah.
Sebastian
Damn.
Jessica
Why do men think they want a strong, independent woman, but when they get one, they can't handle it because they consistently feel emascular. Escalated.
Sebastian
It's a good question.
Tyler
That is a good question. I mean, it's probably specific to the different personalities that are out there, but maybe it's just the type of guys that this individual has been talking to. If maybe they're. They're not confident or.
Sebastian
Yeah.
Tyler
Something going on with themselves.
Sebastian
Yeah.
Tyler
I don't know.
Sebastian
People can say things but not be about it. Right. Like, a man could say, like, I want. You know, I. I want a strong, independent woman. But that's. That's. That's just all talk. And then when it really comes to be about it, like, they can't handle it. So she's potentially just talking to the wrong men who aren't about.
Tyler
Yeah. Sometimes people will say something, and then once somebody's, like, outshining them.
Sebastian
Yeah.
Tyler
Then they. They act differently.
Sebastian
Right. Right.
Josh
Yeah. To Tyler's point, I think it depends on also the guy's confidence as well. It's. It's. It's so. It's. It's so nice for a guy to say, yeah, like, I need a powerful woman, you know? Like, it's, like, so, like, powerful of him to say that and, like, politically correct.
Sebastian
Right.
Josh
The truth is, like, that's an amazing thing to have. I have one myself. My wife is powerful. Outshines me. And, like, I flaunt that. I am so grateful for her. I'm grateful to walk around with such a powerful woman, you know? And I don't feel that way because I'm confident as well, you know?
Sebastian
Yeah.
Josh
Even if. If vice. Even if I'll say not as powerful or not. I don't even say powerful. Just like, you know, even if I wasn't. Right. Which I'm technically not, because Karen's powerful.
Sebastian
Right.
Josh
Doesn't make me feel any less of a man.
Sebastian
And it shouldn't, bro.
Josh
And it shouldn't because you know who you are.
Sebastian
You know what you bring to the table.
Josh
Yeah.
Sebastian
And even to give you your credit and your flowers, bro, like, and I've seen people do this, like, they try to attack your character in that respect regard, right? Like, they. They use that as a tool. I hate to break it to you, but eyes up here, bud. But. But, bro, you, like, you handle. It was, like, so much grace and, like, understanding. And I don't see it shift your character in any way. It doesn't, like, move you because you're so secure in who you are.
Josh
Of course.
Sebastian
And now when you say, I want a strong, independent woman, you're a testimony to that. Like, you really. That.
Josh
Yeah, I just think guys need to, like. Like, stop with their whole ego, because once they feel like they're not as powerful as their girl and people see that, they feel less of a man. Bro, stop with that.
Sebastian
But also say what you say, what you mean. Like, if you can't handle a strong, independent woman, bro, then, yeah, stop trying to look for one.
Josh
Yeah, for real. 100.
Jessica
Paulina, this has nothing to do with you, girl. It's just these men.
Sebastian
Thank you, Jessica. That was my point. Basically, men just be saying shit.
Jessica
All right, this next one's anonymous. Can guys and girls be friends? Truly just friends? And where, slash, what crosses the line of friendship? When do you know something is off?
Tyler
That's a. That's a tough one.
Jessica
Well, let's start with the first one. Can guys and girls be just friends?
Tyler
It depends on the context. I mean, like, maybe if they grew up in, like, the same neighborhood or something. I don't know. It depends on how they met. But I don't know how you guys feel about this, but, like, Like, I. I think they can be friends for sure. Like, it all just depends on the context. But there's also some, like, weird dudes out there, so. But, I mean, honestly, I. I think I'd give the guys the benefit of the doubt, but you just have to have your guard up and, like, make sure you're dealing with a good, quality person.
Sebastian
But there are, like, you said to your point, just to add to that, there are weird guys out there that, like, just push it, right? Like, the girl is fully convinced that this man just wants to be friends with her and he has other intentions. Yeah, that happens. Like, that's just part of it. But if it's there, is there? It could. It could be pure. It definitely could be pure.
Josh
Yeah. Yeah. And sometimes even if they didn't, like, there, I. I know so many people that they're just homies.
Tyler
Yeah, I was just. So I was answering. I was thinking that, yeah, obviously I have friends that are girls. Like, we're just friends.
Sebastian
Super platonic.
Josh
So obviously the answer is yes.
Tyler
Obviously the answer is yes.
Josh
But I will say that statistically, it is hard. Right?
Sebastian
Yeah. So being like, just friends is like, no intimacy, romance, nothing. Like, all. There can't be any of that. They have to just be friends.
Josh
Yeah.
Sebastian
Even if they get over that hurdle.
Josh
Yeah, yeah.
Tyler
Like, if. If he's messaging to hang out every week, and I don't know, to me, that's kind of. That could be crossing the weird line. Like, it depends on, like, what's going on there. I'm not doing that with the friends that I have that are girls.
Sebastian
Right? Yeah, yeah.
Tyler
Like, checking in with them, you know, maybe a handful of times on social media.
Sebastian
Right, sure. Not actively pursuing to hang out with them.
Tyler
Exactly.
Josh
But mind you, this. This is also, like, can guys and girls be friends? So it's like, it can go the other way too. Like, girls sometimes will cross that line too, even if the guy just wants to be friends. You know, it can be both. But I think statistically, it's the guy wanting to kind of cross over that boundary. Right?
Sebastian
Yep. Yep. Was there a second part to this?
Tyler
When do you know something is off? I mean, it's kind of like I was saying, if they're just being, like, weird or maybe they're. They're just, like, over being, like, overly needy or just trying to, like, insert themselves and. I don't know. I guess it's a tough question. I'm curious.
Josh
I think it kind of starts being like. Let's just say the guy starts to become a little bit more demanding. Like, almost like if he's already, like, your boyfriend, you know, type thing.
Sebastian
Oh, that's good.
Josh
You know what I mean? Yeah, they start to kind of, like, be a little bit controlling.
Sebastian
Yeah. Yo, bro.
Josh
Who are you?
Sebastian
Yeah.
Josh
You know what I mean?
Sebastian
Yeah, yeah, yeah.

Josh
Who are you?
Jessica
This one's Anonymous. Age range 25 to 30.
Sebastian
Oh, man. This one.
Jessica
My boyfriend and I have been together for six years now and I cheated on him in our first year of dating. We were in a long distance relationship. We are both from the same small town and one day I went to the bar and cheated on him. I have no and cheated on him. I have no idea that he knew the guy until days later I saw that they had mutual friends online. Long story short, two weeks after the guy I cheated on my boyfriend with died in a horrible car accident, I was so afraid that my boyfriend would find out. But I think it's safe to say he's never going to. Fast forward five years later. We live together, we have a baby, and we're planning our future. We spoke about marriage. I need your perspective. Should I tell him about me cheating 5 almost 6 years ago? It still haunts me. Would you want to know?
Josh
Oh my God, this one's freaking wild. This is probably the craziest one we've ever got.
Sebastian
That one's crazy.
Josh
What a story.
Tyler
I don't even. I don't want to be the first one to answer this.
Josh
Dude. I was about to say this is like one of those scary ones to answer.
Sebastian
I. I'll go. I. I think that if it's eating your conscience and like it's something that you need to get off your chest, I think you should do it for your own peace of mind. You can't put a dollar sign on a peace of mind. This I come to know.
Tyler
True. Usually like, you know, if you're upfront about something.
Sebastian
Yeah.
Tyler
Like it's best to just get back to level ground. But that being said, that's a really tough one because this is like way in. Into the past.
Sebastian
Into the past.
Tyler
Yeah, it's kind of like out of sight.
Sebastian
You're man, it's. You're. You're entering dangerous territory.
Tyler
Exactly.
Sebastian
And it's gonna shake up. And I think you just got to be prepared for the worst. But bro, if it is eating you up, you can't even enjoy your life because you're so fixated on this thing and you got to let it out.
Josh
You.
Sebastian
You're gonna be free, you know? But it's gonna come with a price. That freedom is going to come with a price.
Josh
Damn. First of all, Anonymous, thank you so much for having the power to even write that out. That's kind of crazy.
Sebastian
Yeah.
Josh
Damn.
Sebastian
Yeah. Would you guys want to know?
Tyler
Yeah, that's what I was going to say.
Sebastian
I want to know.
Tyler
You want to know if you were the guy.
Sebastian
Man, I hate saying this. I hate saying this, but. No.
Josh
Yeah, me too.
Sebastian
Kind of like, man, especially like, if it's me, it's me, Josh. I'm in that situation. I have everything going on in my life. I can't. I don't got time to do that right now. Just. Why'd you tell me?
Tyler
It's.
Sebastian
It's just too much to bear. Like, I just.
Josh
Like, you know what it's. And you hate saying it because you know that's the wrong.
Sebastian
That's the wrong answer, bro.
Josh
But it's okay to like. Like, I don't know. I think I'm the same way.
Sebastian
I want to know, man.
Josh
Because if you tell me, I will forever think about that.
Tyler
Oh, yeah.
Sebastian
Oh, it's done, bro.
Josh
And it's gonna eat me up.
Sebastian
It's done.
Josh
It's literally like the song.
Sebastian
Like, I don't want to know. Yeah. Yeah. Would you want to know?
Josh
But that's the wrong thing to say. But like.
Tyler
Yeah, you kind of hit the nail on the head. I mean. But I mean, there's forgiveness as well. But I mean.
Josh
And then that's another thing too.
Sebastian
Yeah.
Josh
Everyone's human. Things happen. People deserve a second chance. I truly believe so. People do change.
Sebastian
Yeah.
Josh
Damn, bro. That's so sad. Imagine if the guy knows and he finds out. He can't even be like. He can't even go kick his ass.
Sebastian
Yeah.
Josh
Because he's.
Sebastian
Don't say it. Dude. That question is crazy, bro. It's crazy.
Josh
That's such a crazy question.
Sebastian
Changes the dynamic now that he is passed, you know, because it was interesting because like. Like, now you gotta, like, mourn that again, right? Like now that gets opened up again. And now he's thinking about, man and.
Josh
The fast and the fact that he passed away. What. What do you even think about?
Sebastian
Yeah. Like. Yeah. Yeah.
Josh
Because sometimes when people get cheated on, it's like, well, that guy's still somewhere. He's present. What about if they still talk eventually?
Sebastian
I gotta talk to this Man, I gotta figure out what happened.
Josh
No, you still think, well. Well, clearly you somewhat like that guy. So, like, then the guy thinks, like, well, maybe one day you're gonna go back and talk to him. You still have maybe something for him. Right. But when you cut that off, you're almost, like, in limbo. Like, what do I do if he doesn't exist anymore?
Sebastian
That's insane, bro. Heavy question.
Josh
Heavy, confusing. I don't know, but. And I know what you mean. Like, it's so wrong to say that.
Sebastian
Yeah.
Josh
Because it's not the right thing to say.
Sebastian
Right. It's like, yeah, you should know. Right. Because. Yeah.
Josh
But damn, bro, if that was me, I just. I mean, if we're super happy, we're good.
Sebastian
We're five years in, right? Yeah.
Josh
We love our baby.
Sebastian
You're married and stuff. Stuff.
Josh
I'm convinced that you're, like, in love with me. Like, things like that. Then. Yeah, but if. Like, I guess if the. If the relationship is a little rocky, you know, then I guess maybe tell me. But how would I know, too, you know? I don't know.
Sebastian
Yeah. I don't know if there's a right answer here, by the way.
Josh
We should ask. We should ask Jessica.
Sebastian
What would you want to know camera for?
Jessica
Yeah, I probably wouldn't want to know.
Josh
Everything could be good and then just sing that. How's that song go? I don't want to know if you play me.
Sebastian
That's kind of crazy. Yeah. That's insane.
Josh
Like, what a great song, though.
Sebastian
Great song. Yeah.
Jessica
If she's ready for everything as she knows it to change. Like, I feel like she feels bad about it and as she should, but bringing it back up, it's just going to wreck things in ways that will make her regret it even more.
Sebastian
Yeah.
Jessica
You know what I mean? And just, like, you live with your choices and accept the fact that you're gonna feel guilty about it forever, but if you feel like your relationship is at a point where you know that you're never gonna do this again to this person and you're never gonna put yourself in a situation like that again, then just suck it up.
Sebastian
Up. Yeah.
Jessica
Because, like, it's gonna mess it up for no reason. Like, it.
Rachel
It's.
Josh
Yeah.
Sebastian
Right, bro, this is six years ago. She's writing about this.
Tyler
First year long distance as well. In the beginning, that's what it says.
Sebastian
Yeah.
Jessica
Yeah.
Josh
First year long distance. Yeah.
Sebastian
Doesn't forgive. It doesn't forgive the idea, but, I mean, it doesn't.
Tyler
Just got to know each other, but.
Sebastian
It like to your like. I guess what you're maybe trying to say is like if she were to tell him maybe there's a little bit more of grace there because like we were long distance like said I. I didn't know what we were. Blah blah. And maybe he can potentially find it in his heart a little bit easier knowing the circumstances. Like two months or was it like.
Josh
Towards the end of the year?
Sebastian
Right. The last day of the year.
Tyler
There's not a lot to gain at this stage.
Sebastian
I would agree. I think that's, that's, that's it right there. There's not a lot of gain. Yeah. Besides peace of mind.
Tyler
Yeah.
Jessica
Go to the confessional, talk to.
Josh
Go to Misa.
Jessica
Yeah. Confies. Talk to whatever your higher power is. Talk to yourself. Talk to your therapist.
Sebastian
Yeah.
Jessica
But I don't think that.
Sebastian
Don't ruin this man's life.
Jessica
And your own. TBH.
Sebastian
Yeah.
Jessica
Last one. Anonymous 22 to 25 how do I tell my. And this kind of goes back to the question that we had earlier about like a powerful women and like you know, and yeah. Anyway, okay. How do I tell my boyfriend that I've outgrown him? At times I feel like I'm wasting my time. I, 25, female, have been dating my boyfriend, who's 26 for about five years now. During those years I feel like I've grown a lot. I got a big girl job and I'm in the process of buying a house by myself, period. I'm at the point where I want more out of my relationship. However, I feel like he's stuck in his teenage years, always wanting to hang out with his friends, living with his parents, not paying bills, being reckless and being financially irresponsible. I feel like a parent always telling him he needs to be more responsible, save money, grow up a little and stop depending so much on his parents. But I'm to the point where I am exhausted of repeating myself and not being heard. I need your opinion on how to go about this. I don't know if I should stick it out or if it's time to move on. We're just in two different places in life right now.
Josh
Wow. First of all, for the young. For the young lady, congratulations on all your success.
Sebastian
Absolutely.
Josh
That's crazy. That is amazing at 26 to get a pass already.
Sebastian
Yeah, it's crazy.
Josh
Good for you, big girl.
Sebastian
Okay. And I thought you were going to go after me. You just want to say the cool.
Josh
Growing. Unfortunately, this is a situation that happens to the guys and the girls. They outgrow each other, you know?
Sebastian
Yeah. What do you think?
Josh
Tyler, he's not paying bills.
Tyler
I think, like, if that you've been with this person for five years and this is. Nothing's really been changing and you, you've been evolving. Like, I mean, it kind of seems like the way that she wrote that out, like the answer is kind of obvious.
Sebastian
Yeah.
Tyler
You gotta potentially just move on and find somebody that's more on your level.
Sebastian
Yep, Yep.
Josh
And I would even say move on. I think it's. I guess, I mean, if that was five, six years ago and she's 22 to 25, that means that they've met each other when they're like 19, 20. Right. I guess. Don't waste any more time.
Sebastian
You're.
Josh
You're at a prime. You're doing so well for yourself. And I think you have no idea how much more you can actually gain from having them. If you even wanted one. After a more successful partner, your life will level up that much more.
Sebastian
Yeah, I agree. You don't want to live in like the what if? Because if she just stays there and they get. You know what I mean, they just continue.
Josh
Five years is a long time.
Sebastian
Yeah. And. But I think a lot of things, like, people miss this. Part of, like when they give advice to this kind of thing is like, it's not going to be easy. Right. It's going to be hard. She's going to miss them. She's going to think about it. Even though she deserves better, you know, it's going to be hard and that's okay. And it's about just being okay with like, dealing with like that heartache and feeling like maybe you did the wrong decision, but just trusting the process that you deserve better and you want better and you owe it to yourself to find out if there is something better.
Josh
And what happens too is when you have the mentality of this young lady doing big girl stuff. I wouldn't even say big girl stuff. I'm saying just real.
Sebastian
Come on, man.
Josh
You know, getting a good job, having a big girl boss job, having a house. Guess what comes with not just having that. It's, how did you get there? It's meeting people who are doing the same thing.
Sebastian
Yep.
Josh
So what happens is you start meeting these people, like, whoa, why is my. My boyfriend or my whatever, not like that guy, doing the same things I'm doing? You know what I mean? So it starts to open up your mind as like, whoa, there's actually people in this world that think, just like me and not like my boyfriend.
Sebastian
She's also super young. 22.
Josh
That's what I'm saying. Congratulations.
Tyler
19 to 25. I think it's. Think it's pretty expected that.
Sebastian
Yeah.
Tyler
Where you guys started, you're going to be in a different place. 100 and to your point, there are people out there that are doing, like, what you're looking for and can elevate you.
Josh
Yeah. And I'm pretty sure. I'm pretty sure the reason why she thinks yeah, I'm pretty sure the reason why she's saying things like this because she's experiencing this throughout her. Her career, her financial decisions, her. Her mental decisions of what to do with her life. That's what happens, I think. I think when you really meet the right one, it's when you yourself personally go and look for the best for yourself. When you go out there and you look for. For what's best for me, career wise. Anything wise. Along that path of looking for that successful Josh Leyva, Sebastian Tyler, how can. Along that path of. Of how can I be great? You will find somebody parallel to you trying to do the same with. Yeah, trying to do the same thing. And that's the beauty of. Of when people say do you first is because eventually you'll find that partner that. That is. That is doing them as well. And you guys are, like, parallel to the universe. And then what was that?
Sebastian
You do each other.
Josh
What's that position that you like? It's not missionary. It's what.
Sebastian
Huh?
Josh
Anvil.
Sebastian
Matt would remember.
Josh
The anvil position. Yeah, that's what happens. That's the beauty of, like, when people say, like, people are just telling me to, like, just find myself first. It's because when you find yourself, you find what you need and put. Put that on the poster.
Sebastian
I'm sorry.
Josh
Since his birthday, he's been wiser.
Sebastian
Damn, bro. 35.
Josh
35 hits. 35 hits.
Tyler
Moving different.
Sebastian
He moving different times, different time. Time's moving on my time now.
Josh
Come on, baby. You see it?
Sebastian
That's fire, bro. Fire. Cool, man. Well, I feel. I feel great about this episode. What do you think, T? He. We got to run it back next year, man. Definitely got to run.
Josh
He just needs to come, like, on some perspective of a man when we film that. Just come.
Sebastian
Yeah, he's got some good insight. He's got some good insight. Ladies, Tyler McCan co founder Tasta Lu Dms are open.
Josh
Are they?
Tyler
They're open. They're open.
Josh
I'm like, don't let this man talk for you.
Sebastian
Are they Adam Yeah, man. Thank you for coming on the podcast, bro. Any last words? I was going to say, where can people find you?
Tyler
Yeah, I mean, my, my Instagram name is literally just my name. Tyler McKay. So easy enough. No. Thank you guys both for having me back on here. Like we said, save us. Like, you've been such a big part of the brand. This podcast is really the backbone of Salud. Anything that's new, we're always announcing it here first. We're doing the B day stuff here. We're doing your B day stuff here. So it's just been really great to have your support. And I really, I'm sure there's a lot of, like, podcast friend dynamics that would not be nearly as supportive if their friends was growing so much from when you first debuted it on your podcast in the beginning.
Josh
Yeah, no, I, I thank you. I, I feel blessed. I, I, I know that this podcast is a big connection with Salud. But I feel blessed that you guys even consider it. You know what I mean? I know Josh is in here, but the fact that you guys rock with it means a lot to me, myself. You know what I mean? It means the world to me. I'm proud to have that, that, that banner there, that poster, all reps I loop forever. I'm truly grateful for, for everything that you guys have given to me. The continuous support that you guys give la platica. And me, just as an individual, I know the team very well, and I know that what's behind this product is such a, such an amazing family.
Sebastian
Yes.
Josh
That, that holds it down for the brand. And not even just for the brand, just in general. Amazing, humble people. I congratulate you, Tyler. I'm only talking to you because I say this to Josh all the time.
Sebastian
It's kind of annoying. Yeah.
Josh
But I congratulate you for all your success. Tessa Lou, Happy birthday again. To many more years of success.
Sebastian
Thank you, sir.
Josh
We, we, I'm talking to Tyler. We, we, we, we, we say this every year. I can't imagine next year. I can't imagine next year. We were, I was joking with Josh earlier in the conference room, and I was like, bro, what's the next giveaway? You're gonna fly somebody to a planet. You know what I mean? Like, you guys keep topping your giveaways, keep helping people out, and at the end of the day, when we're all 60, 80 years old, I mean, we all did something really good, you know, in our life, and you guys helped tremendous, tremendous amount of people financially. And not only I just Putting a smile on their face. Thank you so much for the. For the watch, for the gift. It. It doesn't just mean that it's a gift for my birthday or because I've helped you. It just means how much you guys care about me. And to me, that's just, like, so, so freaking cool. I get a little crackly because, you know, I keep my circle small, but it really just means the world to me to. To know that two individuals came together to say how much they care about me. And I love you guys a lot. I really appreciate you guys. And thank you so much for the gift.
Sebastian
Love you, man.
Josh
Love you guys too.
Sebastian
Thank you guys. If you're listening this deep in the episode, we appreciate you. We love you. And like Tyler mentioned, the reason we have, the success literally comes down to you guys. Like, the love and support that you guys show us as an audience just means the world to us. So thank you to everybody watching. Thank you to everybody who supported, who's bought the product, who's maybe even not bought, but just liked our photos, like, everything matters. And I just really appreciate you guys as well. If I could buy you guys all Rolexes, I would. And maybe one day I will.
Josh
I'm sure it'll be a giveaway.
Sebastian
Yeah. But thank you guys for tuning into La Platica. I hope you guys have an incredible rest of your week. Don't forget to subscribe to our channels. Follow Tyler McCann. Ladies, he's single.
