This, the video of me and my friend arguing. You thought it was real.

Yeah. Okay, so I don't remember, like, the full detail of the video as far as, like, what was. Now I remember first seeing it, and then I think I was with you to be with my girlfriend.

What really upset me is because people don't even start talking about what the video is.

Yeah. They create like a narrative about you as if like they know you.

Yeah, it's a great question. I would say I'm just ambitious person who I. I would say, like, that I'm in my 20s. I'm just trying everything.

You know, I'm just very open to people that I meet, just taking advantage of certain opportunities, certain doors, and I'm. I'm a humble guy, or at least I try to be. And I would just say I'm really just, what I put it, just kind of curious to see where, like, life takes me, to see who the people that I meet. And I feel like that's just been my whole life. I would say at a young age, I didn't go to, like, university, I didn't go to college because I felt like it wasn't for me. Yeah. I felt at a young age, I was very called to be creative. And that started with, or in the beginning, my first, like, early 20 years, I would say I would just work and then post pictures on Instagram of, like, my outfit. And fashion was always something I was curious about. Then I met my friend Jennica, which you guys know, and she was like, hey, I think you're okay. Well, there's a lot to me.

[Isaac Rodriguez]

Right.

[Josh Lea]

But to put long story short, I'm from Miami. I was doing that in Miami.

[Isaac Rodriguez]

Oh, okay.

[Josh Lea]

Yeah, I was doing that in Miami. Just taking what.

[Isaac Rodriguez]

I'm sorry.

Just take, like, pictures on. On Instagram, like, my outfits. And that was kind of like just something that was like a side hustle. It's not something that I just did to make money off of. And we met because of a church that I used to go to, and she went to, like, event. We. A friend, a common friend that we had knew each other. That's how we connected.

[Isaac Rodriguez]

Oh, wow.

[Josh Lea]

And she was like, hey, you have so much potential. Like, I think you're wasting it being in Miami, come to move to la. Jenica said this, so she was like, hey, like, come move in with me. Let's figure it out.

[Josh Lea]

Yes.

That's cool.

[Josh Lea]

Crazy. And it was crazy because at that time, I was like, I've worked every job. Yeah, I was.

[Sebastian Robles]

I can tell by the way, one desk, you know, when you can tell somebody's been through a lot of jobs.

[Isaac Rodriguez]

Yeah.

[Sebastian Robles]

That's a good thing, by the way.

[Josh Lea]

Yeah, it. Honestly, I would say it. It kind of gave me a perspective from, like, people who have worked nine to five, just different lifestyles. And I, like, I said a front desk agent at a hotel. I worked at, like, a plastic surgery office. Like, anything that could pay me higher. I'm like, it. I'm just do that. And I switched careers so many times because I just didn't know what I wanted to do. So at that time, I was working for a mortgage lender, trying to be a loan officer, because my goal was just like, all right, if I could just, you know, buy a house and just make good money, that's just good enough for me. Yeah.

[Sebastian Robles]

Yeah.

[Josh Lea]

And at the time, I was just. I got to a point where I just wasn't happy with my life. I was very sad. I was very anxious, very depressed. And I just remember praying to God one day, I'm like, man, God, if you can, I don't know, give me an open door, something. I don't care what I have to lose, what I have to leave behind, I'll do it. And I remember I got invited from Jenna because she's like, oh, come to la. Let's go to Baja Fest, which is this festival in Mexico. And I was like, all right, cool. I bought my flight. We went together with a group of friends. And then after the festival, we. We went back to her house in la. And she was like, hey, I don't know why, but, like, I think you should come live with me. Like, figure it out, you know, whether. If it's, you know, fashion, social media.

[Sebastian Robles]

Like, wow, I did not know that.

[Josh Lea]

Yeah. She was like, hey, just, if you want, I'm offering that to you, and you let me know. So at the time, I was with a girl. For seven years, I had a girl. For seven years, I had a stable job. I was with my parents. I was like, very comfortable. But internally I was just going through so much that nobody knew. And I remember getting back home and I was just like, man, God, like, this is kind of what I prayed for. What I asked you.

[Isaac Rodriguez]

Wow.

[Josh Lea]

And I called her the next week and I was like, hey, I'm gonna quit my job. I'm leaving my parents house and I'm just gonna go and move. And she's like, all right, perfect, let's do it.

[Isaac Rodriguez]

And did you have a following at this point?

[Josh Lea]

I didn't. It was. It was, yeah, very minimal. I just did it because, like, you're. What I wanted to do.

[Isaac Rodriguez]

The adventure of it.

[Josh Lea]

Yeah. I just. I didn't know what I was. There was no intentionality.

[Isaac Rodriguez]

Yeah.

[Josh Lea]

Basically what I'm trying to say.

It's just something that I, you know, how I express my creativ. The time.

And so fast forward, I moved to la. They're living with Jennica. Shout Out Jennica. And I would say, like, the first year I was. I kept like my part time at the old job. I was able to work remotely and I was doing like Uber Eats Doordash.

And just trying to make it.

[Josh Lea]

Yeah.

[Isaac Rodriguez]

Trying to make it. Me.

Yeah. And then first I would say I tried to like, dip my toe into fashion. So I would hit up every stylist on Instagram. I sent like 50 dms. I'm like, hey, if you ever need help, like, I'm here. Just, you know, there's nothing that I'm not willing to do. And I would say, like, two responded. One gave me an actual job. And then I just started meeting people. Creative directors.

Whoa.

[Josh Lea]

Of different companies. And I would say within the first full year, I was able to finally just do that full time. And then social media just came. I would say, like two years ago, where I was able to build like a following and it's just a long story. Just trying to obviously condense what a great story.

And you told it so well.

Yeah, right.

I really told this story so low right now. That's really cool. Wow.

Was there, like, a moment in social media that, like, you actually became, like, a social media personality?

I would say so. My Tik Tok is probably where I took off. And at first, it was just, like, strictly, like, fashion content.

And then I met my roommate, who's my roommate now. His name is Willito. I think you guys know him.

To be really committed for a couple hours, to, like, you know, really, really get in the game, get focused, and just you and your audience and life not saying any pendejadas or, like, knowing what to do. You know what I mean? Is there, like, a ritual you do? You kind of, like, brace yourself or you just, like, jill, let's roll.

I would say if you want to be good at it and you want to do well as far as, like, numbers and analytics and build, like, a following off of that, there has to be some sort of intentionality.

Yeah. I would say in the beginning, I would just, like, you know, read the comments and just kind of give my own commentary on stuff like that and just kind of build or talk to my community. But then after, I would say I would have things planned, or if I was going to film with somebody, I would just Be like, all right, let's do this. You know, include certain bids.

And once I started to do that, I feel like I did a lot better.

I mean, even, like, how you just introduce yourself, you know, you had the choice to just come in here and say hi and stuff like that, but you pre thought about something and you're like, you know, obviously, it came from your heart, I hope.

Then he found a girlfriend and then he moved in with his girlfriend. And I was looking for a roommate for like three months. Then our friend does like social media. Social media management. And she's like, hey, I have this kid who's like looking to move to la. Mind you, I've never since I was doing like strictly fashion influencing, like fashion on Tick Tock. I had no idea, like this side of Tick Tock.

Like, obviously someone that is, is kind of like trying to make it. And you know, he's young. I was like, all right, let's, let's meet this guy. So he comes over, he's like, super quiet. He's just like, you know, trying to. He's a kid from Texas, small town, and from there, you know, he just moved in. I was like, cool. Then I had like so much free time at the time because, like, part of just my schedule was like, I maybe work like two, three times out of the week, like doing photo shoots and then the rest of the time in my home. And, you know, I was doing social media. He was doing social media. And we just like started going to the gym together and started filming together. He wanted to do like Twitch and doing Twitch streams. And he's like, I don't know how to get started. And I was just like, all right, bro, like, I help you out and let's just kind of help each other out and go from there. And we just started doing that. And it got to a point where, man, I. I like getting to know him and having a friendship with him. I realized how much patience I have. Have.

Because when we were doing like certain, like, social media stuff, or at least when he started doing Twitch, which like live Stream, he would make so much noise. And this apartment complex we lived in was in Porter Ranch, so it was like super quiet. Like an association, really nice, Respectful. Yeah. Irrespectful. Like nice families. And every day for the past or like during that time, for like the three months, every day there was a noise complaint or the security guard. No way. Every day to the point where I told him. I was like, bro, like, eventually, like, I'm down. I'm down to ride this out with you. Because obviously we're, you know, we got motion and, you know, this is happening and this is just a movement and we just got to see it through. I'm like, there's gonna be a moment where I'm gonna call you and we might get kicked out. You know, we might get evicted. It's just these type of.
