C
We back at it.
A
Shout out to our friends over at SeatGeek. Number one rated ticketing app on the app store. You already know how they do. You already know how we do. We got a fun episode for you guys today, but how you doing, man? First things first.
C
Oh, wow.
A
How you doing?
C
You know, sometimes when you do the intro, you never really asked me how I'm doing until right now. And it feels special when you do.
A
Yeah. I'm looking you in the eye saying, how you doing?
C
I feel like you're dialed right now. I feel like you're in a. In a dialed personality mood.
A
Yeah.
C
Yeah. I feel like. I feel like you. I feel like you're, you know, you always enjoy coming on the show, but today's just like, you know.
A
Yeah, you're excited, bro.
C
You probably have a lot of things going on that are really positive in your life right now. And I can see that.
A
Yes.
C
I can see it in your eyes.
A
So I'm glad that you mentioned that. Two things. One, we have been. Speaking of dialed. We've been dialed in our diet, we've been dialed in our workout regimens, just in all around life. I think we're both at a really good place where I feel very confident, man in me too. How I feel, how I look. And I needed this. And I promised myself last year that the last year was going to be my. My best physique. Remember we talked about this on the podcast and I. And I didn't fall through with that promise. I failed. I'll be honest. I failed, bro. And honestly, I went the wrong way. Like, I failed miserably. I probably got to my highest. I have weight as an adult. My mom is like so honest with me, you know, but she's also very like caring on how she like talks to me. But she flat out told me, like, you're gaining weight and I'm not used to seeing you like this, you know, but with all the traveling we were doing on my work schedule, I. I just dropped the ball, you know, but this year has been completely different, man. I've been so dialed in and I'm just very. I'm just very proud of myself.
C
Yeah.
A
That I've just stuck with it. And I've put myself in different situations where I've like, I've. I've just, I've stood strong.
C
Right.
A
Like in moments where last year when I would have been tested, I would have probably fallen short. But like, I've been. This year, I've been to like weddings. I was at work events, just different things where alcohol and, you know, eating bad is like available. And I just said no. And I still had a great time. And I know it sounds so simple, bro, but like, I.
C
It's not.
A
It's not, it's not. And I just was really able to. Not only because it's one thing to say you can still have a great time without indulging.
C
Right.
A
But it's another thing to really do it and realize, like, wow, I'm still having a great time and I'm not necessarily indulging in these things that are hurting me.
C
Yeah.
A
You know, cuz they do. They're fun, but they hurt you. You know, Like, I love drinking, don't get me wrong. But the consequences is there. You. You take a hit.
C
You do take a hit.
A
Mentally, physically, it's poison.
C
Yeah. And it's super hard, too. When A, people consider you the life of the party. Right, right, right. You know, and then B, you love to be the life of the party. Right. And you know, that, you know, drinking and stuff like that really just lightens up the day. And I love drinking, too. I love socializing. And it's just funny because, like, we don't. We don't drink at home. We don't. I'll pour myself a bottle of scotch and have a cigar. Like, I don't do that. I only get up when. With my friends.
A
Yeah.
C
You know, and it's. It's just. It's very difficult because it's sometimes. You sometimes start to really indulge in drinking more when you're actually doing good in life. You know what I mean?
A
You know what's funny? I heard somebody talk about this on Tick Tock. They said it's when people start becoming successful, the first thing they let go of is their fitness.
C
Yes.
A
Is their health. Because they're like, oh, I made it. But it's like, that's when you should really lean into it. Because when you're successful and you have money, so to say right now, you have, you have longevity. But if you're, like, making all this money and you're cutting your life shorter because you're drinking and partying and stuff like that, you're just. You. You're kind of doing the. The wrong, like, the wrong thing, you
C
know, and it sucks because then it puts you into this, like, vicious cycle of, like, what the, like, work is good, but, like, I'm not good.
A
Yeah. Yeah.
C
And it's just such a beautiful feeling when, you know, work is good, life is good, and my mental health and my physical health is good, you know, and it's great. It feels great.
A
That's the thing, bro. It feels good and rewarding. It's rewarding. Yeah. So I could only imagine, like, having. When things are going great in your life and you physically feel that's the ultimate. Right. But it's like you're saying, like, you have everything going on good in your life, but you feel like crap. You look in the mirror, you're not happy. You know, like, that sucks.
C
Yeah. Dude, I was. I was looking at, like, some of our thumbnails like, three, four months ago, and, like, I wouldn't consider us, like, out of shape. Shape. But, bro, we were like, you and me.
A
Yeah.
C
You know, but it feels good. I just, you know, we don't want to talk too much about our fitness, you know, but I hope that this, like. Because everybody probably back at home, you know, relates to this. I think everybody relates to this.
A
Yeah. Yeah. Like, everyone's kind of like.
C
And it's, and every day it's not like you wake up and you're like, now I'm back on my fitness and it's easy. No, it's still a struggle.
A
Yeah.
C
You still have to mentally be like, ready for it and like, show up for yourself.
A
And you know what I've realized about me? Some people can go in little by little, right? For me, bro, I need to go. I can't do that cold turkey. I need cold turkey. You know, I need, I need to say no to everything.
C
I need drastic change.
A
Drastic change.
C
And that's when I, that's when I've
A
noticed that I've seen the best results. So maybe that is something you got to do. If you've been struggling and you're like, oh, I'm just going to do this. Like, maybe you got to go overboard, you know what I mean? And you got to say no to everybody who wants. You want to go out any fun things, you got to just say no.
C
Yeah.
A
You know, things are that are going to set you back. No.
C
And I've been there before too, where you're the no guy when you used to be the yes guy.
A
Yeah.
C
And it's, it's, it's a little rocky in the beginning because people, like, keep bugging you, but once they see your
A
progression, oh, they respect it, man.
C
And they're. You're so respectable now. And like, now not only are you the no man, but you're the how do I do that man.
A
Yes.
C
And now you're like, they asking questions and now they're doing this and now you just motivated somebody or a whole ass group.
A
Yeah.
C
And you're like, damn. All, all those times that they said no, no, no, no, no. And now I'm trying to be the no, no, no man. You know, like, it's crazy. It's really, it's cool.
A
Everybody's obviously walking a different path. Like, some people have, you know, more weight to lose than others.
C
Right.
A
But I genuinely think the majority of the people have about anywhere between three to eight months of just dedicated.
C
Yeah.
A
You know what I mean? Because it just depends.
C
Right.
A
I don't know. Like, everybody's completely different. But I think anywhere between three minimum, you got to dedicate three months minimum.
C
Right.
A
You have to sacrifice, and it's a sacrifice. But I think once you can do that, bro, everything else, you're just kind of cruising after that.
C
Yeah.
A
Yeah. And that was my point. Like, for example, today we had In N Out before we got to the studio, right?
C
Yeah.
A
And it's called the refeed. Right. So our coach is like, looking at our physiques and he's like, okay, you look a little flat. You're, you're. You know, so let's like bump up your carbs. I actually want you guys to go to In n Out or whatever you want Sushi, because you got to hit like these certain amount of macros. That's where it becomes fun. You know what I mean?
C
And you, like, actually, like, you have fun going there now instead of it being like, let's go to now.
A
Right?
C
Right. Yeah, let's have some Chinese food now. It's just like, it's a super treat.
A
It's a treat, man.
C
And honestly, you get to a point where you're so dialed too, where you start respecting yourself, where it's like, honestly, I was even telling. His name's. You guys know Andre. Andre. Andre was like, go. And I'm like, I don't really want to eat in and out.
A
Yeah.
C
Like, I feel guilty.
A
Yeah.
C
Like, I don't want to. But I'm also like, this is kind of like my second wave of like trying to get back on, back in shape and. And I don't want to do what I did the first time where I had some sort of like body dysmorphia, where I just didn't want to do any of that anymore. And I was scared. I can't. I do not want to live like that.
A
You do not want to live like that. Yeah.
C
And I know that me eating a fudgeing Hamburg geyser.
A
Yeah.
C
This big. Is not going to just tomorrow this. No, no. And that's the beauty about being kind of like having a super nice balance in your life, in your health. It's because now when I do have this cheeseburger, nothing happens.
A
No.
C
Nothing at all. And then now I can just be fit and have my little treats whenever I can. And that's it.
A
On the contrary, your body uses it, right?
C
Yeah.
A
Uses it for good.
C
Yeah. Because now you're like this working out machine. It's just burning calories all day.
A
Exactly. But anyways, so, yeah, that was kind of like my little rant thing. But we have something we're gonna do, no.
C
Yeah, we have something super fun that Jess wrote up. I'm actually really excited for it. But yeah, no, I'm glad that you talked about that because a lot of people are in their fitness Journey.
A
Yeah. Yeah. And this is kind of a part where people. Part of the year. Sorry, I didn't mean to cut you out, by the way, that. That people kind of, like, are letting go.
C
Right.
A
They're not as committed as they were in the beginning of the year.
C
Right.
A
So it's like, we're getting towards it, but now summer's around the corner, like, stay locked in.
C
Yeah. And can I say something, too? Like, eating clean Monday through Friday doesn't mean that you can have your cheat meal Saturday, Sunday, when you haven't sacrificed those three months. Eat clean, no cheating for three months straight. No cheating. Maybe once you can have a refeed and go to in and out. But other than that, just like, don't cheat after those three months. Come and talk to me and then you can go. And, bro, honestly, we can afford a cheat meal once a week now. 100, maybe even two. Yeah, right. But a lot of people fall from it because they're like, oh, Monday through Friday, you know, we ate so clean, blah, blah, blah. And then Saturday they go eat pizza and they just up their whole week. Exactly. Yeah, exactly. But no, it's really important. I feel like it's. It's such a good thing that, like, the world that we live in right now with a lot of people, it's like, very trendy, to be fit and to work out and to go run and to cycle and to hit the gym and blah, blah, blah. See, it's good that we talk about this. I think a lot of people are very interested.
A
Yeah. Well, we're here to talk about it.
C
And you have six pack now.
A
It's. It's getting there.
C
What do you think it is, like a. Like a four and a half?
A
Yeah, like a four and a half.
C
It's like, the bottom ones are really hard.
A
They're hard, bro. Yeah. It's called, like, stubborn fat.
C
Right.
A
It just kind of takes a minute. You just got to keep going. So listen, like, for me, I. I'm content. Right. I'm happy. I just want to continue to go because I. There's, like, a specific goal I have.
C
Yeah.
A
You know? Yeah. But I don't. Where I'm at. I'm more than fine.
C
Yeah. No, and I'm happy doing it. I'm super happy being this, like, eating super clean. And I just love the way it makes me feel, honestly. And it changes everything around me as well.
A
Yeah.
C
Like, everything. Everything is so much better now. So much more confidence. You want to take a picture? I'll smile now.
A
Yeah.
C
I don't care. Hey, is this picture fine? Can I post it?
A
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
C
I look good.
A
Exactly.
C
One, one hack, guys. One hack that I want to tell you guys. Is this time going around? I mentioned that this is my second wave. Trying to get fit. My first one was pretty successful.
A
Yeah.
C
My second one successful again. But I feel like my lower abdomen area is a little slimmer only because I feel like I did this thing differently. And that was. I started to include cottage cheese and Greek yogurt into my diet a lot, and I feel like that helped out. I do want to say that you're
A
also cycling and you weren't cycling your first.
C
Yeah, I wasn't.
A
Yeah, yeah. So there's more cardio is what I'm saying. It doesn't have to be cycling, but
C
I think, like, there's definitely more cardio. But I promise you, cottage cheese and Greek yogurt will change your life. And you can mix anything into that and you can make anything. You can make pancakes, you can make sauces.
A
Oh, nobody has created a sauce like with the foundation of Greek yogurt and just like seasoning. You know what I mean?
C
Yes, I. I think they have.
A
Do they?
C
Yeah, I mean, well, the Greek yogurt. What's the Taziki? Yeah, that's what it is. Taziki is Greek yogurt. Yeah. It's only Greek yogurt with dill.
A
No, but I want non fat Greek yogurt with.
C
I'm sure somebody has done that. Okay. Can I make a tik tok real quick? I have something to say. This is worldwide news. Please listen to me. Everything is sugar free now in this world, Correct? Yes. Why hasn't at least the United States made a sugar free Slurpee?
A
Yeah. Coke Zero, any kind of zero.
C
Any kind of Slurpee, zero sugar. Why does the concoction not make it Slurpee enough? I don't understand.
A
No, no, no, no.
C
It can be done, right? It can be done.
A
Wait. Seven Eleven offers various sugar free, zero sugar Slurpee options. What? Bull.
C
I don't know, man.
A
I don't know, dude.
C
I don't know, dude. Every time I go to the movies, no sugar. No. I don't know.
A
No, no, no, no, no. I'm not talking. This is slurps. We're talking about slurps. Or are we talking about.
C
I don't know.
B
I think I googled Slurpee and that's
C
what it says, but I think Gemini is wrong there.
A
I have never been go to the
C
Images to a 711 or to the movie theaters and there's sugar free Slurpees.
A
Why?
C
You know how much Slurpees? You know how many. Whoa, that's a fake photo. Yeah.
A
There's no way that's AI.
C
There's no way. Okay, I need to know where that's at. They might be illegal in California. They have to be illegal in California. They have to be.
A
I'm going to go check.
C
I've never seen them.
A
Where? How do you deny?
C
How do you check?
A
Go to 7 11.
C
I don't know. I've never seen them. I am on the look for sugar free Slurpees and yeah, cuz that's the only thing that's missing in my life.
A
But it needs to be Coke Zero, man.
C
Well, which one did they have?
A
That's vitamin water. Vitamin water, bro.
C
They need. Okay. Coca Cola Co. Make a sugar free Coke Zero Slurpee, please, for my birthday, May 29th.
A
Yeah, I agree, man. So Jess has some things that she prepped for us that we're going to get into. Camera four, talk to us. Jess, what you got for.
B
Well, first of all, I wanted to mention I so interesting that you sevas brought up body dysphoria because I feel like you don't really hear men talking about like, how it affects them.
A
It does. It really does.
C
It does.
B
How is it that you feel like,
C
and I'm not a man, I'm a girl. That's why.
A
What.
B
Anyway, back to what would you do?
A
I like this. This is a good time.
C
No, yeah, it's a real thing. It's it, it, it's for everybody. I think men don't really talk about it, but it's like a thing.
B
Why do you think they don't talk about it?
C
Because it's like, I don't know. I would assume because it's not.
A
Maybe men shouldn't be analyzing their bodies in that way. They should be focusing on other things. But how you feel as a person, as an individual matters. And I think that there's like, society feels has put this like, stigma in men where like, it doesn't matter how you feel or how you look, you just need to go out there and like, work, get the job done, whatever it may be, you know, but it's a real thing that like guys deal with, right? Even for somebody like myself, like, bro, I've had body dysmorphia and even now, like, I, dude, I started my journey, I'm just going to say right at 235. 235 pounds. Now I weigh 198. And to think to myself, I'm not happy, I still don't look good. That's not the right mindset to have. That's why I was answering the question right now. I was like, I'm good. I feel great. And that you need to be able to have that reassurance and confidence in yourself.
C
Right.
A
And continue to still have goals. But that, that is, that is like a thing to. I don't even know how to go about that. Like, how do you learn how to do that?
C
Right?
A
Like, how do I advise somebody to. To do that? And I think it comes down to if you know that you're putting in the work and you're doing everything that you can, that is what you need to be focusing on.
C
Right?
A
The fact that you are putting in that work, that you're being honest with yourself. And I know I've been honest with myself. Like all the work that I've been doing, I can look myself in the mirror and be like, yeah, I've been putting in that work. So even though I'm not where I'm at, I want to be at. I can know that, like, I've been doing it, I've been trying. Does that make sense?
C
Yeah, yeah, yeah. It's cuz you're shooting for the stars, but you already landed on the moon.
A
Right?
C
And I even told you that the other day, you know, like. Oh, yeah, I know, but I'm trying to get this, I'm trying to get that. And I was like, josh, at the end of the day, we have to understand that look at where we're already at in such a short amount of period of time.
A
Yeah.
C
I'm like, bro, we're good.
A
Social media though as well, with a body dysmorphia is a huge factor and we can't ignore that. And I think people have become better about like showcasing their bodies in different lights, literally and figuratively.
C
Right.
A
Like they'll be like, like, this is how I look in this light.
C
Right.
A
But with my pants a little lower.
C
Oh, yeah.
A
And then they'll like adjust their pants a little higher so the weights look smaller and they'll go to like better lighting or they'll get a pump, you know what I mean? But you can't buy into everything that you see on social media. And I think people are getting better about it. But regardless, it definitely has created a lot of self esteem issues, body dysmorphia, all of it. Would you agree?
C
Of course.
A
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
C
Sometimes I see a guy on social media, I'm like, dang, he has a nice chest. Why can't I get a chest like that? Yeah, but I just don't have it in me. I genetically don't. No. But I think being serious, like, like I told you, going back onto the second wave, I told myself, you're not going to be that guy that puts yourself down because you're not at where you want to be at yet, or you feel guilty or you feel guilty because you had a beer. No, dude. Cuz at the end of the day, you're not going to live like this for the rest of your life. You have to enjoy your life. So I'm trying to create a balance where I can be as fit as I can, but while still enjoying my life, you know, like you also, I also don't want to be that guy that's like says no to 99% of things.
A
You want to enjoy your life?
C
Yeah, I want to.
A
But for a period of time you kind of have to. Of course it took through the discipline.
C
So I can start the cruise control, right?
A
Exactly.
C
I'm telling you three, four months, sacrifice that so you can upgrade to cruise control.
A
Yeah, yeah. So just to go back to Jess's question, I think, just thinking about it, I think, what's that? What's the quote? That's like comparison is the thief of joy. And I think once we compare ourselves to others like it, that's where the problem is.
C
Right.
A
And that's where really this body dysmorphia can come in. Because you're comparing yourself to somebody that or it's something that you think you should look like. But that's why I was saying like, if you can just be, if you can look at yourself in the mirror, be like, I'm doing everything I can. That's what you need to be focusing on. And I'm getting better and better every single day. You know, that's going to change your perspective versus like constantly comparing yourself, you know, and feeling like this guilt and this shame.
C
Yeah.
A
You know, so it's just like that is what's helped me with my body dysmorphia is that I know I'm doing the work and I know that, for example, tomorrow I'm going to be at 7am, be boxing and then I'm going to gym. I know the work is going to get done. Yeah, I have that confidence in me, you know, Same.
C
Same here. Yeah, same here. That's, that's exactly how I deal with it. It's like it's Just me against me.
A
Yeah.
C
I, I don't look at it no more. As in, like, man, why can't I my chest grow as big as Josh's or blah, blah, blah. I don't look at it like that.
A
Yeah.
C
It's just. You're doing great.
A
Yeah.
C
I obviously do things differently than what you do, and you do things differently than what I do.
A
Yeah.
C
And that's it. But you can't compare.
A
You just can't.
C
It's just you against you. Yeah, it's, it's, it's much healthier if it's you against you. And that's it. Even when, like, you compete, like, on stage, I think it should be you against you as well.
A
Yeah. I, I, I'll be super vulnerable with you. I've definitely had, like, conversations with Mo where I've, like, flat out told her I am unhappy, you know, like, things are going so good in my life, like, with my career and stuff, but physically, I don't feel good. I don't feel confident. I have shame. Like, I, I like, bro, there was moments, like, I remember last year and even the year before, like, I'd be changing. I take off my shirt, like, to change, and, like, I wouldn't even want to look at myself in the mirror because I just knew that I wasn't doing the things I needed to do, you know, I wasn't prioritizing my health. So that's like a normal. That's like, a thing guys go through.
C
Yeah.
A
You know, and you're right to just his point, like, it's not talked about. There is this bit of, like, shame. But I'm so grateful for Mo just to, like, really, like, listen to me and really support me through that, like, journey. She's like, well, then what do we need to do? And I was like, I just, I gotta really make sure my meals are on lock. Or that I'm prioritizing the gym. Or if you. We want to do date night like that. It's like, places that, you know, I can watch what I'm eating, and we're not drinking when we're going out to, to dinner.
C
And she's doing that journey with me.
A
And then she was like, I'm gonna do it with you too. Yeah.
C
In which you look great, Mo.
A
Yeah, exactly.
C
Looks great.
A
Exactly.
C
You know, and you can tell she's been getting it in.
A
Yeah. But I can't tell you how much that conversation did for me, you know, because sometimes as men, like, we hold it in.
C
Yeah.
A
Right. But just to be vulnerable with her, I'm like, I'm not. Okay. I'm not happy. Like, I'm happy with my life. I'm grateful, but I know I just demand so much more of me. And I think that's good.
C
Yeah, that's good.
A
You know what I mean? But also, like, it's. It's not like there's like a balance where you don't want to put all this pressure on yourself, where you're going to kill yourself, essentially. Right.
C
Well, your balance was off. And you.
A
But my balance was off.
C
You probably knew what was the problem too.
A
Exactly.
C
You just couldn't fix it at that time. And it's hard. It's hard, you know, to be mentally ready. That's the thing. You got to be mentally ready for this for a change. It's almost like, I hope not, but it's almost like something has to happen to you for you to just flip it. Like, I'm done. I'm like, honestly done. You know what I mean?
A
Yeah.
C
But yeah, it helps that when you have a partner that that is doing the journey with you. Yeah, it really is.
A
Yeah.
C
Even like me, like eating more clean, like, it helps out Karen a lot more. Cuz when I wasn't like, she's taking moras out of my pizza, you know what I mean? And it would her up, so. And K's straight athletes, so. Yeah, it's good. It's good. And at the end of the day, the biggest problem was alcohol. It's just alcohol for sure. For me.
A
Yeah, it's.
C
It's drinking. It would lead to bad food, bad decisions, late nights. It's just really bad for your health. Especially like we're not 18 no more. So it's like it just doesn't. Like, we just don't piss it out. It just. Just stays in our body for a long time and feel like, man, I just wanted to be positive in my own life and with work too.
A
Yeah, for sure. I know that majority of the listeners are girls. Girly. Pops, what's up? Yeah, how you doing? See you on the treadmill. Just always on the treadmill. She's skinny, bro.
C
Some of them are just getting ready with their laptop out.
A
That's what I'm saying. Yeah, I see you. Thank you. Or on the tv. I feel like a lot of people watch Lapatika on their tv, which is pretty badass.
C
I love that. I always see like La Patika on like barbershops or like salons. What are they called? Nail shops.
A
Yeah. No salons.
C
No salons.
A
No Salons. Yeah. So what I was going to say, though, is, you know, I feel very lucky. I'm going to say lucky because I don't have the struggle of, like, conveying my emotions. Like, I will tell Mo how I feel, and I know how to do it. And a lot of guys don't know how to do that. A lot of people don't know how to, like, express themselves and articulate what they're going through. I want to say that I learned that from my mom. I want to say that maybe I've learned that from your previous relationships. Just knowing that, like, it's. Nothing happens when you express yourself. I think guys have this fear that they're going to be judged or they're going to be looked at differently, but luckily I haven't had that experience. But I was going to say for. For the ladies listening out there who have a boyfriend or a husband, and maybe you've noticed that they're struggling with their weight or, you know, they're maneuvering a certain way because they're not flesh. Fully happy or fully themselves. Bring up the conversation. How do you feel? Is there anything I could do to help you? Be your best. Lay that foundation out, lay that. That question out and just see what happens. And maybe they're not going to be responsive in that moment because first they might be thrown off. They're like, whoa, I wasn't ready for this. But it's going to sit with them, you know, and they're going to think about it and they'll be like, am I? And maybe that'll help them be a little bit more introspective with themselves and have that conversation. Because I'm telling you, man, what that conversation did for me, it was like, uplifting. It was like, okay, I got it out. Now it's out there. Now I got to get to work. You know what I mean? And. And I think that's just helpful for people to. To be able to have those kind of conversations, you know? So if your man doesn't. Hasn't never had that conversation with you and you know that he's struggling, you know, people know, bro. You know, I challenge you to, like, present it and just offer yourself, even if it's just your ear. I want, is there anything I could do about. How are you feeling? Honestly, Anna, I'm asking you, honestly.
C
Yeah. And. And I bet you anything you do that, and in a couple months you'll be surprised on how much more he opens up to you.
A
Yeah. Yeah.
C
Cuz you created that space, which is the goal.
A
And that's perfect point, bro. Some people are just looking for the opportunity to have that space, you know, and even though you think you're offering it, oh, I, I tell them they can obviously talk to me sometimes. You got to create that space and you got to make it obvious it. This, this is it. What do you, what do you need for me? How can I help you? How can I help you be better? You know what I mean? I think it goes a long way.
C
Even like once a week, go out to a dinner date or even there at your house in the saddle, watching tv and create that space. Okay. Right now we're going to talk about things that we have on our mind.
A
Yeah, yeah, we're gonna be intentional.
C
We can be intentional and practice, you know, exactly. And, and have that, you know, having that space and being, having those conversations, it's a muscle to be worked on as well know. So that's good. It's good that you said that. Let's have some fun.
A
Let's have some fun, bro. Do you remember when I first came on La Platica?
C
Yeah. Dream come true.
A
Well, yes, but also, I'm not going to lie, I was nervous. I was like, yo, what if, like nobody watches us, cuz, you know?
C
Yeah, I mean, I'm not going to lie either. Like having somebody new on the platform, I didn't know how the audience was going to react.
A
Could be a make or break. Could have.
C
Could have been a make or break.
A
But I totally say it's make.
C
Oh, it was a make for sure, man.
A
Why did you, why did you hesitate?
C
Look, man, it was a make for sure and everybody knows it.
A
No, honestly, it was just us, bro. We were doing everything on our own. A lot of businesses start like that, right? They don't know. They don't have help. When it comes to starting a website launching merch, whatever product you're trying to sell, how do you start? Where do you start?
C
Yeah, it's definitely. Nobody ever talks about the Domains llc, anything like that. And that's why something like Shopify made life so much easier. That's right.
A
Shopify is a commerce platform behind millions of businesses in the world, including Tayside Lose, actually.
C
So if you're trying to start something, a website, dude, I'm telling you right now, and I promise you, I did this and it just changed my life. Shopify has templates to make your store, your, your storefront online look so much cleaner. Trust me, you're not going to find a template that looks better than the ones that Shopify actually provides you.
A
You basically don't need to know what you're doing. Shopify is there to hold your hand and make sure it's done correctly and professionally and at a high level. Plus, they have AI tools that will help you with with descriptions, headlines, and even fix your product photos, which is very, very important.
C
And Shopify actually helps you run emails and helps you with your social media platform so you can be able to reach so much more people and you would have so much more potential.
A
And everything is in one place as well. I'm talking inventory, payments, analytics, shipping, shipping man. So you know how it goes so you're not jumping around between five different apps.
C
It basically takes those what ifs and makes it so much more doable.
A
Guys, it's time to turn your what ifs into cha Chings.
C
So sign up for your $1 per month trial@shopify.com La Platica that's right, guys.
A
So go to shopify.com La Platica THAT'S shopify.com La PlaticA judging.
B
Hey, so what would you do? Hypothetical scenarios.
A
Okay.
B
To kind of get a sense of what you guys would do? I don't know.
C
Okay. Okay.
A
This on the Boili Pops. What would the Boily Pops do?
C
Okay, let's see the scenarios.
B
You find a bag full of money. I'm talking like, there's a lot of money.
A
I hate this question.
B
Okay. There's no one around. No one's reported it missing. Nobody, like, nobody's looking for it.
C
All right, how much? So can you please put a number to it?
A
10 racks.
C
10,000.
B
I was thinking a lot more than that. I was thinking like 500.
C
500,000. Okay, that's a lot. Okay.
B
Okay. Like 250.
C
Still a lot.
A
That kind of money is like Brinks Trucks, like accidentally dropped it on the side of the road kind of thing. Right?
C
Okay. Let's just say you find a magical suitcase with $250,000.
A
Perfectly place.
C
100. I have to return it because if somebody catches me and I try to steal it, that's the type of money that someone will kill you for.
A
Yeah. So make it 10,000.
B
Okay. Yeah. Nobody's gonna die over this.
A
Yeah.
C
Okay. Hey, I found 20 bucks. Lucky day for me.
A
Yeah. 250.
C
I'm pretending like I didn't look at it, actually. No, I'll return it. That's a lot. And it's either someone has a camera to you and is is about to prank you.
A
Yeah.
C
Or, you know, you're just.
A
No cameras.
B
No Cameras. That's just money nobody's looking for.
A
Well, then I'm taking that. Yeah, I'm taking that.
C
No one's looking for a. I found it.
A
Dude, did you.
C
Hello?
A
Did you hear? There's this guy on Tick Tock. And so I feel like you know who it is because he's an OG YouTuber. He goes by Ray William Johnson, and he does all these like, crazy stories that happen and he does like these like, AI edits with them. They're so badass. But he talked about this guy who found like a money glitch at an atmosphere. And he did it for like, bro, like three years. One ATM was just like, giving him money. He. At a specific time, like the system cut off, so he was just able to withdraw money he didn't have. And he ended up pulling out millions, bro. Millions to the point that he got like, so depressed that he was doing it, he started feeling guilty and he just, like, turned himself in. Yeah, Just give it all up. Give it all up. Yeah. So I. I say all that to say, like, I would take it, but I know a part of me would feel guilty, bro. Like, this, this is not right.
C
Yeah.
A
You know, especially 250, 000.
C
How much money would you like, have in the bag? And you're just kind of like, I'll just take it. None.
A
I don't know, bro.
C
You find. You final. You find. Well, if you find a wallet or a purse, it's somebody's. But he found like an envelope on the floor and I saw 200 bucks, okay. Says Chase. 200 bucks. Someone dropped it. And you saw the date and it was like last week. No one has picked it up.
A
Taking that.
C
Yeah, taking that. My lucky day.
A
Yeah, yeah, yeah, I am.
C
I can have lucky days too, son.
A
I'm. I'm. What am I going to do? Turn it to the police?
C
Yeah. And then what? They're going to take that?
A
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
C
But now two. $250,000, I'm have to return it.
A
Have you seen that guy on Tik Tok who like the envelopes that he does that at, like, grocery stores.
C
Oh, my God. Yeah. Hey, did you drop this? He sees a little bit of cash and he goes, oh, yeah.
A
He's like, your name is like, Will?
C
Yeah.
A
No, he'll be like, what's your name? He like, jordan be like, well, why does it say Will on it? He's like, that's my middle name.
C
And then he goes, man, that's a lot of money. You mind if I get like, 20 bucks and he says nah, dog. You still don't want to share? Yeah, yeah, no, yeah, I don't.
A
What about you guys, Cameron, for you guys taking this? I know sa.
C
Yeah, I'm taking. I'm keeping it in a safe place for like a year.
A
Oh, that's good move. That's a good move. That's a good move. That's a good move.
C
Can you still get in trouble though? Like why you keep it? I was holding it. And if no one claims it in a year.
A
Yeah, fine. I'd ask Chad GPT. Like, what are the laws around this? You know, cuz that's a good move. You just hold on to it.
C
Yeah. I wonder if you ask it what it would say.
A
Can we ask Chat real quick?
C
Yeah, here. Want me to ask it?
A
Yeah. If we were to find $200,000 cash and we hold on to it, like, what are the laws? There laws around this? There has to be laws around this.
C
Yeah, there has to be, right? Number two.
D
Ah, the Dr. Evil vibe. I'm ready, Sevas. What's your next grand plan? Or should I say your next master scheme?
C
Yeah, I had a question. Okay, here's the scenario. I find $250,000 on the floor. I pick it up, I keep it. Are there any laws that I'm breaking or anything that I should do in this type of scenario? Mind you, I live in California, so
D
in California, if you find that kind of money and just keep it, that's not really free game. Legally is supposed to make a reasonable effort to turn it in, like to the police. If no one claims it after a certain period, you could potentially claim it. But if you just keep it without doing that, you could be breaking misappropriation or even theft laws. So definitely don't just pocket it.
C
What would you do in that scenario, number two?
D
Well, I'd take it straight to the authorities.
C
No, you're lying, you're lying, you're lying. There's no way.
A
Oh, get it?
D
Tempting scenario, right? But genuinely, I'd rather avoid the headache. A quarter mil is the kind of thing that will definitely get noticed. Plus imagine the relief of the person who lost it. So yeah, I'd do the right thing, even if it doesn't sound thrilling.
C
You know what's crazy about Chat? He'll stutter.
B
Yeah, that was crazy.
A
Like, like he said, I'm nervous.
C
He said. He said that. He stutters, bro, that is. You heard that, right?
B
Yeah, I did.
C
The first thing I thought was like, did he just stutter?
A
Yeah, there's this man. I watch a lot of Tick Tock. I'm realizing there's this guy on Tick Tock where he's like, I'm gonna go run a mile. Can you time me? You see this? No. He's like, I'm, hey, Charles, whatever. I'm gonna go run a mile. Can you time me? And he goes like this. He goes, all right. He goes, ready, go. Okay, I'm done. Like that. Quick, right? And he goes, how long was that? And he goes, oh, that was. That was 10 minutes. And he's like, no, it wasn't like, that was a lot faster. He's like, I know it might felt a lot faster, but it's not. It was 10 minutes. The creator of ChatGPT was on a podcast and they showed him that video.
C
I saw that.
A
He saw this. And then he straight up goes, yeah, we know about this. We're working on it. And then they were like, in what sense? Well, it doesn't have a timer like the chat. We don't have a timer integrated in that system yet. And then all the comments were like, but you have a. You have a system that allows him to lie to not like, you know what I mean, to like, basically just make something up and then like an argue with the person. I'm like, no, that was ten minutes. You're tripping.
C
And then what do you say?
A
He was the video like, cut off. But I don't remember. I didn't get that far scrolled.
C
Sorry. A lot better if you had the answer.
A
Can we pull it up actually next TikTok? No, but isn't that interesting, bro? The owner of Chat, he was like, looking at the video, he didn't like, move. He was just.
C
How does this guy look like?
A
He looks like a white guy. Like a normal white guy. He was just like, yeah, we know about this. We're working on it. He was like, pretty serious. Like, I think he was kind of slightly bothered that it got brought up. Oh, you know how you can adjust the settings on chat to make it like less like, agreeable with you? You can do all that? Yeah, you can do all that. So I thought maybe that guy did something like that to be funny, like a bit. But it wasn't. They just doesn't have a timer integrated in the.
C
So you. You can make them like less humorous.
A
More humorous, yes.
C
Like an interstellar.
A
Correct. But that kind of trips me out too, because I'm like, bro, something as simple as a timer, but you can like pull up all this crazy information and data. And I Don't know, bro. Just weird. You know what I mean?
C
Because time doesn't exist.
B
I was gonna say.
C
Yeah.
B
It was a construct.
C
How can you not have a timer?
A
Right? Yeah.
C
Yeah. Hey, what's that? What happened to the moon? Are they back yet?
A
No, they're there.
C
They're. They're not there.
A
They're there.
C
The video you sent me, they're not landing on the moon.
A
No, they're just going around it.
C
That's why.
A
I know.
C
How tempting would it be? Like, hey, why don't we just land real quick?
A
But, bro, have you seen the photos of sp Of Earth?
C
No. Did they do it already?
A
No, this is what they're doing. They're right there, dude.
C
Oh, they're there already.
A
I told you.
C
On the back on the dark side, bro.
A
That is so scary.
C
I was on Chat GPT, and I was like, once you. Once you exit the atmosphere, how fast are you traveling? Like 10, 000 miles an hour.
A
Holy.
C
Once there's no more gravity and you're just the definition of dipping.
A
Faster than our cars or R8.
C
Faster. Faster, bro. So they're orbiting. I think they're orbiting moon right now. Halfway.
A
Oh, is this a live thing, Jess?
B
Yeah.
C
Yeah. And then. And then they orbit it. They go. They orbit it, and then they come back and they land in the ocean.
A
They do.
B
Sorry. This is.
C
That's sick, bro.
A
Bro. Okay, so I'm not a believer in this, but there's so many people that are conspiracy theorists that, like, believe that, like, the people are not actually in it and that, like, this is all, like, a conspiracy thing. There. There's still people, like, denying that we're, like, there right now.
C
Is there a live. Can't they do, like, live feed?
A
Yeah, and they think it's all fake. They think, like, they're in green screens and they're, like, held up by wires, and.
C
Man, at the end of the day, whether it's fake or not, it's almost like religion. You want to believe it or not?
A
Yeah, but this is, like. Yeah, I mean, guess you're right, bro.
C
I know. I know. I. I believe it. I mean, you see the rocket go,
A
yeah, this is gone.
C
I mean, we can. We should interview, like, the family of one of these astronauts. Is it real? Yeah, my husband is gone for, like, six months.
A
Yeah, no, it's 10 days.
C
You know what I mean?
A
Yeah.
C
Is that crazy, though? Did you hear the. The theory of what happens to astronauts when they see Earth from that far? Yeah, their whole mentality changes. Yeah. Like, they're Just kind of like they look at life so much differently now. That's crazy, because they just see little. That's us.
A
It's just a floating rock in the middle of nothing.
C
How cool is that?
A
Well, that also kind of gives me a little anxiety. I'm not gonna lie. I just gotta. Felt a little pressure on my. On my buff chest, so.
C
Chisel chest. All right, let's do another. What would you do real quick before we move on?
B
What we're looking at is we're 10 hours away from the shuttle's closest approach to the surface of the moon.
A
Oh, so it's gonna get closer.
B
It's gonna get up to 9,650, 50 kilometers from the lunar surface. So we're 10 hours and 15 minutes away from that. And that's what you see the countdown is. Dude, this website's actually really cool.
A
What website is it?
B
Artemislifetracker.com.
A
artemis. That's the name of the Artemis 2.
B
And it tells you like on the right hand side, what we're looking in, the mission timeline. So all of everything that it's already hit and what's coming up. So there's gonna be when it's on the far side of the moon, communication blackout. So they're not gonna be able to know anything about them. And that's 12 hours away from now.
C
Oh, and then they're gonna do the slingshot maneuver.
B
Yep. Dude, this is.
C
And the slingshot maneuver is when.
B
Slingshot maneuver is 20 hours and 13 minutes.
C
Dude, that's from right now?
B
Yeah, right now. Dr. Strange. It already.
A
It already happened.
C
Oh, we gotta watch this.
A
Those are back now. Now? Yeah, where we're at now?
C
Yeah. Wow.
A
Bro, what bravery. Yo, astronauts, if you're watching this right now, like, shout out to you, bro,
C
there's probably no astronaut watching us.
A
Yo, if you're an astronaut watching us,
C
house space, dude, that's why they don't watch this.
B
Don't have a body dysmorphia, huh?
C
Dude, imagine how not in space.
A
You're like, you're lightless.
C
Imagine if you're like legit an astronaut. Like, how cool you would feel.
A
Yeah, bro, those guys I actually watched. I was watching it live when they were taking off. I was on the phone with you, remember? You're like, what are you doing? I was like, I'm watching these astronauts take off to the moon because, like,
C
what, with an astronaut?
A
Honestly, dude, you're. You're that guy.
C
You're that guy, right? Or that girl, that woman.
A
Not only that, bro, you're out of this Earth. What happened?
C
You're out of this world.
A
That's what it is.
C
Hey, man, what do you do? What's your career, man?
A
I'm out of this world.
C
I'll blow you out of this world.
A
What are you guys doing camera for? Camera four's cracking, bro. Let's go there.
C
Oh, by the way.
A
Yes, tast.com. thank you. Peasy.
C
Sorry.
A
Scratch that. Edit that out.
C
So don't edit that out. That was funny. But Costco.com.
A
yes.
C
Instead of tastes. Salute.com Costco.com just for the time being, because we got. We gotta show the people at Costco that we're popping.
A
We're popping.
C
And, guys, it's so much cheaper to buy two packs now than it ever will be ever in our Artemis lives.
A
34.99. You get a 30 count of sticks. You get the horchata. You get the haika@costco.com. guys, this is a big deal. If we get into Costco.com is a we did it. I'm not joking, guys. If we get into Costco, it's a we did it moment, and I want to experience that with you guys. I have so much faith that it's going to happen.
C
Me too.
A
I know how many units we need to sell per week. I don't want to say it, but it's a. It's a good amount. We got to move units like Costco is Costco. And a lot of people. We posted about it. People are excited about it.
C
Yeah.
A
The thing is, it's not at Costco yet, guys. And I'm sorry if that wasn't clear. It's Costco.com that you can purchase these.
C
Costco.com search in salute. These will pop out. It's the most popular flavors. Grab them. If we pull this off. Yeah. It'll be in Costco.
A
Yeah.
C
But the opportunities that. That Costco might give. Salute.
A
Yeah.
C
We might switch up the flavors.
A
We will. We will.
C
We will switch up the flavors.
A
Yeah.
C
You know, the possibilities are endless. But how can we do that with us and everybody in the world now? Got the whole world in my hands. I got the whole world, guys. Costco.com. honestly, it's like, it can happen.
A
Yeah. I can't. And we posted about it. People are so excited. And a lot of people think that it's in Costco, but it's not in Costco. We got to get it into Costco. But this is huge, by the way, Even to get on Costco.com.
C
yeah. So grateful.
A
It's Huge. We did this just for them. No. You can't find this anywhere else.
B
Can we do a giveaway?
A
Let's do a giveaway. Yes.
B
Like tag la platica on your story with your Costco order.
A
Okay.
B
So we know that you like your entry to participate and then we can send you some more salud stuff.
A
What I was gonna do is I can just, that I can just send them $100 Costco gift card, period.
C
Let's do 100.
A
Yeah.
C
So why don't you do a hundred dollar Costco gift card.
A
Let's do three of them.
C
We'll send a, a whole ass. A care package. So a big ass one.
A
I love that. I love that. So, yeah. How do we do it? Do.
C
So if they, if, if they show us proof that they at least bought one of these, they, they Screenshot it, the Costco.com receipt or whatever, the Costco.com they tag us and then we'll, we'll pick a winner.
A
Okay.
B
Yeah. Tag la platica. Tag Josh and Sevas so we can see it.
C
Yeah.
A
Make sure to tag la platica though, because I think we're gonna pick the winner through there.
B
Yes.
A
Yeah, yeah.
C
So tag la on Instagram. Like, like, like you said. Just screenshot that. You got it@costco.com. tag La Platica. Obviously tag us too. Make sure your profile is either on public or we can at least send you a message because a lot of people, they're private. Sometimes they're the ones who win. So make sure we can actually send you a message and answer. And then, yeah, you'll get another one of these and a huge care package and 100 for Costco.
A
Yeah. That's money. Yeah, that's a win. Free money. Cool.
C
I love that. Let's do that.
A
Let's do that.
B
Cool. Details in the description.
A
Yeah.
B
All right, this next one. A brand offers you a million dollars, but it goes against doing it.
C
Don't care.
A
Let me stop you right there doing it.
C
I'm doing it. I don't care what it is.
B
It goes against your values and your audience. Your audience is going to notice.
C
That's it.
B
Yeah.
C
Like my values. All right. When I have the million dollars, what if it's mad I did it because of this and now I'll.
A
What if it's like a maga campaign?
B
Yeah.
A
Cuz those are those. They'll pay, bro. They'll pay you a million buckles.
C
What about if I do whatever they need me to do and right when I grab it, I use that money for good. And I'll be like, yo, I did it for us, man. Like, I had took one for the team.
A
Robin Hood type.
C
Yeah. And then, like, I'll just, like, do that money. Who says I'm going to be real about. About the campaign that they want me to do? I'll. I'll be fake, and then I'll do whatever I need to do. I'll get my cash, and then I'll do something good with it for. For. For us.
A
The thing is, there has to be things in play that kind of prevent you from doing that. You know what I mean?
B
The Small Prince could definitely.
A
Yeah, yeah. Like, they can sue you if you do some like that for at least five years. You cannot say that you were paid. You can't say it was paid, and you can't say, oh, no, you can say it was paid, but you can't, like, go against what you said. You have to stand by it. Or you can refuse to talk about it, but you can't, like, say, you know, I was doing it to.
C
And now it's Maga for sure.
A
Yeah.
C
Oh, my God.
A
What? Well, I'm just trying to think of one. Because you were so, like. Yeah. I'm like, bro, Maga would be, like, crazy to do, bro. Dude, there's no way in hell I would do it, bro. There's no way in hell.
C
No, you're right. For. For. For those tontos. No, cuz, honestly, like, a million dollars does change somebody's life, but it won't change your whole life.
A
Yeah, I mean, well, it could.
C
It depends.
A
Yeah.
C
For what? I want the million.
A
You said it won't change the rest of your life.
C
It won't change from now to when I'm beo. It might, actually, if I. You know, but the way that I would love. Not that I have high standards of my living.
A
Yeah.
C
But the way that I look at my life and what I want, a mino is not enough. Yeah.
A
Yeah, right. No, that's fair. Yeah.
C
Like, that's. That's not enough. I'm not saying, like, oh, I want all this stuff. No. But, yeah, you know, if I want a certain house and I want certain rancho, and I want certain things for my family. A million dollars. What's that gonna do? Yeah, it's not that much.
A
So you.
C
Now, if I got a million dollars and I go to Fiji and built a hut, and I'm a bartender for the rest of my life, which is what I want to do.
A
But you have a million bucks in your.
C
But I got a million dollars and nobody knows. And I'm just fucking have this sick ass tan and flip flops and shorts on, and my hair is all 10 body fat. 10 body fat. least minimal.
A
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
C
Like, bro, I'm the happiest man in the world. That's what I want to do.
A
Yeah.
C
That's like my ideal life, you know? Hopefully Karen accepts it and just, like, works at the bar.
A
I feel like she would as, like,
C
a busboy, you know, Karen the bus
A
boy just ripped Rich as no one knows. Yeah.
C
A million dollars in Fiji for the rest of our lives. I can do that. No, but. No, that's not enough. I wouldn't. But anything else would. Yeah, anything else. I would. Boner pills.
A
Yeah.
C
Well, what's embarrassing to, like, do? I don't know.
A
I do some boner pills.
C
Yeah, whatever.
A
Yeah.
C
I'm down. Would you or what?
A
No, not for. Not for Maga. 100% not for Boner pills. Yeah. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah.
C
What about another brand? Like something that you just. Or like, not even a brand. Just like. Like some campaign that's just, like, pathetic. I don't know.
A
Like what? Give me an example. Something.
C
Yeah, something that's like, not maga. Liquid iv.
A
No.
B
Oh,
C
You know what? I would. That was funny.
A
That was funny. You know what's funny? I'm gonna say this and this because we're later into the podcast. We were at Coachella last year, and one of the guests, I'm not gonna say who, they made an incredible toast and they said, do you remember this toast? I'll never forget this toast of my life, bro. And he said. Because I was gonna say it right now, but he says two things I don't with condoms and Liquid iv. Do you not remember that?
C
If Liquid IV said, sell us due
A
for a million, you'd have to. I'd have to match that.
C
No, I would be like, I'm not gonna do it for the same reasons that I just described recently about, like, that's just not enough money for what I want from my life.
A
Sure.
C
And second, I would do it just to rub it in your face every day and say, I just didn't do
A
this million dollars for you.
C
So you got me, bro. Yeah, you got me. And I'm like, nah. Because Josh gave me a Rolex one day, you know, and friendship is more than a million bucks.
A
Yeah.
C
And. And I'm. And I'm taste salutes. Like, first. First. First fan. One of them.
A
Yeah, you are 100 are. Imagine you just have Liquid I'll be on your side. Absolutely. My side. Like, that's part of the agreement.
D
Yeah.
A
That is so crazy. Bro. Bro.
C
If I took the deal, though, on some, like. Bro, a million dollars is a million dollars. What would you do? Honestly, like, I guess it would kind of hurt, but, like, you know, you probably know that it's not coming from my. From, like, my realness, right?
A
Yeah. Yeah.
C
You know that I just did it for the money.
A
Yes. And I think they would be stupid to do that, too, because that's why people would kind of feel like you're doing it. You know what I mean?
C
Yeah, But.
A
But what if it's just more of, like a. That would be a huge salud. They're like, we're going Coke versus Pepsi. Yeah. We have the money. Let's just do it, you know? Don't get it. Don't. I don't like this. I don't. I don't. I don't like this.
C
It would. It would. It would, I think, would bring good. Bad publicity, which is good publicity. Yeah. To. To both sides.
A
That was a really good one.
C
It would be a war, especially taking me.
A
Yeah.
C
And then you guys do a boxing match. Yeah. And then I'm just scarred from Lion King and you're Mufasa.
A
All right, what else, Jess? We got. Let's do one.
B
Your girl check. Your girl checks your phone while you're asleep. You have nothing to hide. Are you still mad?
A
Oh, this is good. So she went through it. Obviously, you're. We're good, so we've got nothing to worry about. And she's like, by the way, I checked your phone. You didn't have. But I checked.
C
Yeah.
A
Yeah.
C
I would just be.
A
I'd be a little bothered.
C
Bothered. Because I'm like, you know, did I
A
do something that made you, like, question my, like, loyalty or something? Whatever.
C
Whatever.
A
Right.
C
It just kind of makes it feel, like, very high schoolish.
A
But then also, you can't get, like, too mad because then, like, why are you so mad that I. You know what I mean?
C
Yeah. Because then they flip it on. You're like, why are you so mad then?
A
Yeah. Why are you so mad? Yeah. You had nothing to hide. Yeah. Yeah. No.
C
Yeah.
A
Because you didn't check the calculator app. It's not really.
C
Oh, my God. I remember that.
A
Yeah. Would you be mad? So you're thinking about it.
C
No, I'd be upset because. Same thing, what you said. I was like. I would just. You don't trust me.
A
Yeah. What did I do? I take it more serious, you know, like, what's going on?
B
Yeah, yeah, probably the same. Like, for what?
C
Yeah.
B
Did you think you were gonna find.
A
And then also, like, the way they would say, like, I went through your phone, didn't find anything. If they said it like that, I'd be like, whoa. Yeah, Yeah.
C
I just wouldn't like it because it's just, like, it would make me feel like a kid or something. Like, it would make me feel, like, less than what I am.
A
So would you rather not know that they went through it,
C
man? Like, what, bro?
A
I'm gonna. And I really mean this, dude. I have zero interest in looking at my girl's phone. Zero, bro. That just sounds exhausting. Yeah, I don't want to do that. I don't care. Even something. If I have her phone for too long. I don't want to look at it. I'm just like, this is yours. I don't want anything to do with this.
C
Yeah.
A
You know, and maybe that's bad because it's like it. Yeah, it's like, more of like it. And I'm. I have to hopefully just. I. I know Mo would never cheat on me, but, like, if somebody's gonna cheat on you, bro, they're gonna cheat on you. No matter how many times you look through that phone. You know what I mean? No matter how many times you track their location, it's gonna happen. It's gonna happen. So, like, for me to, like, stress myself out over it or, like, try to find. I'm not doing that, bro. I have zero interest. Yeah, zero.
C
Like you said, it's just, like, a lot.
A
Yeah.
C
Yeah, great question.
A
Yeah, great question. I'm a girl.
B
Okay. If people only liked you for what you provide, not who you are, would you even want to know?
A
Oh, yeah. Yes, I would.
C
I would want to know. But I have the power of knowing before you're going to tell me. So I would know already. And I think that's why I have such great friends, is because they have showed me that they cared for me, that they care for me for me, not because I'm super cool.
A
Yeah, I agree. I would. I would want to know for sure. And I think I would know. I think I would know, too.
C
Yeah, you can feel it. But regardless, even if I couldn't, I would want to know.
A
And I have had people tell me, bro, like, specifically my brother tell me where, like, certain people have said something weird, and he goes, just so you know, this person said this, and that kind of rubbed me the wrong way, and I wanted to put it. When they bring that to your attention.
C
Yeah.
A
I'm not telling me what to do. Like, you know, stop talking to that person. But he was like, just want you to know that you should know this three times.
C
Yeah, that's great.
A
Three times. So I've known it. He's a good brother.
B
Yeah.
A
Yeah. But I want to know. And I was like, I appreciate you telling me.
C
Yeah.
A
Kill him.
B
What's happened with those people, how did that affect it?
A
Definitely tarnished the relationship in the sense of, like, I viewed them differently after that. You know what I mean? I was just a little more cautious. I proceeded with caution. But my heart is. Dude, I look, I'm going to give to people and. Because that's just who I am, you know, and that's going to come with the consequences of being taken advantage of sometimes.
C
Yeah.
A
That's just part of it, you know. Now I'm not going to be like, dumb and just like be giving out, like, you know what I mean? But it definitely kind of hurt it, the relationship. I was like, damn, that sucks that they would say that or they view it in this manner. You know what I mean?
B
For sure.
A
But yeah, I don't know.
B
Yeah.
C
But I'm not going to go out my way and like, kick their ass. It's just like, okay, I know now. Yeah, you can continue to be the way that you want, but. And yeah, but I know now, and
A
I use the word tarnished that was exaggerated because it didn't tarnish your relationship, but it hindered it. Definitely. Like, kind of like, I check it, like, you know, kind of like, like you said, set something off in the
C
back and that's all you need to know.
A
Yeah.
C
Yeah. And that's how you now you move differently in your own way.
A
Yeah.
C
Next question.
B
Yeah. You can only. You can relive one day of your life, but only once.
A
What day are you starting? Like right now.
B
Yeah. And also, like, it doesn't affect your future, how your life.
C
Yeah.
B
You're just. You're just reliving that day.
A
Whoa. Do you know your wedding day?
C
Yeah. I mean, that's the first thing that comes up. You know, I've. I've had a lot of great one days before, but.
A
Yeah.
C
Yeah. That was just something special and I would love.
A
And the thing about that one specifically, bro. And I felt like I never recreate that day.
C
Yeah. And I felt like I. Me and my wife did it perfectly and we were together the whole time, but it just. You just feel like it ends so fast. You Know.
A
Damn, dude, that's. I mean, that's such a good answer. I think I. Man, I don't even know if I'm being honest. Like, a lot of the days that I've had, like, I think I. That I really love, I can, like, recreate them, right?
C
Yeah. Like, you know, do we have to be alive? I mean, like, like, like the moment that I want to relive. Did I have to exist?
B
Yeah. One day of your life.
C
Okay. Because I wanted to see the day me, my mom, my dad, first locked eyes. Oh, okay. Like the first. First, like. Like the moment he woke up. And I'm not saying, like, my parents are these crazy and love couple, you know, But I just. Which, yeah, I would like to think they are, bro.
A
Yeah, I think they are, bro.
C
But I would just like to know what my dad did and what my mom did that morning when they woke up. And they did not have no clue in their life that they're about to lock eyes with some dude or girl that was just gonna go on five kids. Wow.
A
That was the beginning of the end.
C
Yeah. Like, I wanted to know what like. Or even what happened the day prior or the day of, like, what. What caused the butterfly effect for them to just, like, lock eyes and, like, get to know each other?
B
Wait, that actually be like, a really sick movie, right?
A
Yeah.
C
Like, just go back and, like, there has to be a plot, though. Yeah. Like, I did something bad where, like, now they didn't meet or they don't like each other.
B
Yeah.
C
Or like, my mom met some other vato.
B
Wait, let's write this. That's so cool.
C
That's Back to the Future. It's Back to the Future without my dad. Yeah. What about you, Josh?
A
Like a day that I've already lived this, man. I don't know. Damn, that's so tough, man.
C
Man, your life is boring.
A
No, it's like, I know you're thinking about a lot. Yeah. No, but not only that. Like, I. I did it. Like, I'm happy. Like, I can just look back. There's not something like, I need to go back to live.
C
Yeah.
A
But I think, like, my wedding would be something like that.
C
Yeah.
A
You know what I mean?
C
Yeah. You have something.
A
Yeah. That's a tough question.
C
It's a lot of relive. Relive?
A
Yeah. Pass.
C
Come back to it. Come back to it.
B
Last one. Your sibling asks you to lie for them in a serious situation. Are you covering or exposing them?
C
I'm covering all day. That's what siblings are for.
A
Yeah.
C
I'M covering now. Me being the oldest sibling, I have to analyze if this is. I'll cover for my brother, my sister, my sisters, my brother, whenever. I don't care. But if it has to do with something that my mom or my dad needs to know as well, I have to somewhat tell my parents. I have to like, the older brother in me.
A
I have to do that.
C
The other day, Karen almost was about to go into tears because she realized that I've never had anybody older than me. I've been always the reason. Oh my God. Like, I feel so, like, bad for you. Like, you don't. You've never had anybody, has she? Yeah, she has older brothers and sisters. And she was like, I just realized, like, you've never had. You never had anybody to like, you never had that big brother like, or like big sister, like, it's just always been you. And I was like, yeah. Sucks, huh? Yeah, we're gonna figure it out.
A
But that's interesting.
C
Yeah. Because you, you have like older stepsisters, right? And sub brothers.
A
Yeah, But I had zero relationship with them though. But I've had like, like my Theos and I have older cousins.
C
Yeah, I've had Theos too.
A
You know, like my oldest cousin, her name is Linda. I adore her, I love her. She's like the glue of the family. And she's prob 48. I want to say, I hope, I hope I didn't get that wrong. But she. Yeah, like I. I always, like, looked up to her. I admire her. My cousin Joey, that's her brother, they were like older cousins that I kind of saw as like older siblings. You know what I'm saying?
C
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
A
So I guess, like, that you don't have primos like that.
C
No, I do, I do, I do, I do.
A
But like the older cool cousins, I
C
have, like maybe one or two that live in the United States.
A
Oh, like my cousin Joey, bro, I thought he was the man, bro. He's like into Mustangs. Like, he was just so sick, bro. Like, I was like the coolest guy, bro, you know? You seen those videos, like, like the little brothers, like, looking at the brother just like for approval, everything. Like, that's how I looked at him. And I remember, like, we went. We went snowboarding one time that our family, my mom took us to. And I was like, I was like 11 years old and he went out to the bars, cuz he was like, he's older, right? And I was like, so sad that he was like leaving me at the, at the, whatever the Cabin and stuff. And then I remember that night I cried because I was like, I'm never going to, like, have that relationship with him again anymore because he's, like, growing up. Like, I'm never going to be that. That bond is, like, gone.
C
Yeah, yeah, I've had that.
A
Yeah.
C
Should I have it? Huh? I have. I have cousins that I, like, I looked up to, and they're, like, cool, but, like, not to the point where I felt like it was like, somebody. I would follow their footsteps.
A
Ah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
C
It was funny. She goes, oh, my God. I can't believe, like, you never really had anybody.
A
Yeah. I mean, that is kind of sad.
C
I was like, yeah, it's just my dad.
A
Oh, that's true. I didn't have that. I didn't have.
C
You're right.
A
Yeah. Totally. Cry for me. Pick.
C
Choose everybody, you know?
A
Yeah. You know, So I want to answer the question, the whole, like, relive something.
C
Right. Okay.
A
I kind of thought of one, but it's not so much because I want to relive it to, like, live it again, but I want to relive it to, like, have more of appreciation for it. I probably. The day I hit a million subscribers on YouTube, bro, that was the first time in my life where I worked so hard for one specific goal. That was the number, dude. One million. I wanted to see one million on my YouTube channel. And I remember I hit it and, like, I don't know, I couldn't, like, really feel this, like, appreciation or, like, this, like, super, like, crazy amount of joy. And I look back at it, I'm like, that's sad. Like, I worked so hard. Like, why didn't I just give myself the opportunity to, like, like, love that experience and feel, like, so, so proud.
C
Yeah.
A
You know, so I'd want to, like, relive it to, like, just remind myself, like, dude, you did it. Like, it. Like, live in this experiences. Feel this. You don't have to, like. It doesn't have to be my whole personality, but just for that day, we
C
can still do it.
A
Now that's over, bro.
C
Like, take you out and, like, what are you guys celebrating, dude? Million subscribers. No way. Congratulations. They're like, 20 years ago. I just didn't really appreciate it.
A
Yeah.
C
So now me and my friends were out and. Yeah, we're appreciating that I did that because that is a huge milestone.
A
Yeah. And, dude, I'm telling you, we can still do it. I know. You're right. You're right, you're right, you're right.
C
We can still do it, bro.
A
Yeah, but it's not 23 year old Josh. You know what I mean?
C
Yeah, but it's better now.
A
It's better. It's way better. Yeah, but so I would, that's how I would answer that question.
C
Yeah, yeah, yeah, that's cool. I, I, I, I can't say I know what you mean because I've never hit a million subscribers.
A
On your way, bro. We're gonna do it on this channel. It might take us like five years, but I think we could do it,
C
you know, who knows? You know, it's different now. The whole, the plaques are different.
A
Whack.
C
They're. Yeah, there's, they're smaller and they're just, they're whack now.
A
They're whack, dude.
C
So if you got a million back, then it's like it holds more weight.
A
Yeah, Literally. Literally too. The, the plaques were bigger.
C
Yeah. And even like with shorts, there's so many people getting 100,000 subscribers just through shorts.
A
Oh, yeah.
C
So it's like, it's a big thing.
A
It's a different thing. Yeah, yeah, but the plaques are way different, bro. Like my plaque is huge, bro. The millions are like a quarter of it. Not joking. They're.
C
Well, I remember them.
A
I remember them, cuz so many people. Does Karen have one?
C
Yep.
A
Oh, where'd she have it? She has an OG one.
C
Yeah, I think so. I don't know. In the room somewhere. In the beauty room. Damn. Well,
A
those are the days, man.
C
Black.
A
Yes. I feel like the days that you'd want to relive as a is like weddings, your kids, birth.
C
Right.
A
Or like what else? What else is like a thing you'd
C
want to like relive a random Tuesday in like 2004.
A
But that's what I'm saying. Like you could recreate that.
C
Yeah.
B
Okay. Maybe the day that you had your last conversation with someone who passed.
A
Whoa, that's good. I'll see, man. I didn't think. I like that. That's good.
C
Yeah. Like, honestly, like, not because of my grandparents past, but every year when I would go to Jalisco as like a 14 through 15, maybe 13 year old with like all my other cousins and my siblings, like my brother and my sister. My grandparents would always take us to this place called Agua Caliente. Is the city was the. It was like a vanario where it's like, it's like slides. Like they would have the pool where there's like Las Olas and it's just sick, bro. It's like, I would just love to do that again. And my. My grandparents just driving us in Mexico. Like, have you ever just driven in the road in Mexico and how beautiful it is just to go through. Just country.
A
Yeah.
C
And then just to get to a pueblo. Like, just those moments that my. My grandpa would buy me a Gatorade and a Paleta, and we're just on the way there and just that.
A
Yeah.
C
With my cousins and my cousin's like, oh, wow. You know, your grandpa's. My grandpa's smoking a cigarette in the. And you know, while driving. And the kids were in the back, like that vibe.
A
Yeah.
C
You know, like that. You know, that moment, Like, I would love to relive that. And I was just like, perfect.
A
How old were you, like, during that period?
C
13, 14.
A
Oh, so you're, like, aware. You're like. You can fully.
C
Yeah, I remember. So that's why, like, it would bring me. Like is the right word. Like, serenity. Yeah, yeah.
A
Serendipitous.
C
I don't know. Just bring me this feeling.
A
No, that's not serendipitous.
C
Of just being there. I think that's why I have so much. I just love going to El Pueblo or Guadalajara because. Just gives me this feeling.
A
Yeah.
C
Of family. That's why culture is so beautiful, because the first thing that you get reminded of when you go to Mexico or anything, it's just family. It's this feeling that you. That you would get as a kid. So every time you go back, you feel it again. You're like, what is that? It's like. It's just. It's embedded in you because of your own family gave it to you. So those moments, I would just love to relive one of those days and just not worried about anything and then go back and I don't know, maybe kids don't do this anymore. Obviously they don't. But in the pueblo, we would rent a movie, a VH, VHS tape, put it in the thing and have some tacos and call it a night. Money.
A
I love that, man.
C
Those were the days.
A
Those were the days.
C
Relive one of those days, you know what I mean?
A

C

Hosts: Sebastian Robles (Sebas) & Josh Leyva
Guest/Producer: Jess
Date: April 13, 2026
Episode: 242
In this candid and humorous episode, hosts Sebas and Josh dive into a lively series of “What Would You Do?” scenarios—exploring morality, personal values, and boundaries, all through their signature banter. Interwoven are discussions on mental and physical health, body image, social media pressures, the power of vulnerability, and even reflections on meaningful moments from their past. The conversation is enriched with honest, thoughtful takes on the challenges men face in a culture shaped by machismo and the value of supportive relationships.
A Year of Change:
Josh opens up about his fitness journey, honestly admitting to falling short last year but committing fully this year—with tangible, positive results.
“Last year, I probably got to my highest weight as an adult… But this year has been completely different, man. I’ve been so dialed in and I’m very proud of myself.” — Josh (04:11)
The Social Pressure to Indulge & Setting Boundaries:
Both reflect on peer pressure, their love for partying, and the struggle to maintain discipline when their reputations as “life of the party” make it hard to say no.
“It’s hard when you’re the no guy when you used to be the yes guy… But once they see your progression, oh, they respect it.” — Sebas (09:04)
Body Dysmorphia & Self-Worth:
Jess prompts a conversation about body dysmorphia among men. Both hosts get vulnerable about insecurity and the importance of being honest with oneself rather than comparing to others.
“Even now, dude, I started my journey at 235 [pounds]. Now I weigh 198. To think to myself, I’m not happy—I still don’t look good—that’s not the right mindset.” — Josh (17:45)
Social Media’s Double-Edged Sword:
The hosts acknowledge how curated online images fuel comparison and self-esteem issues.
“You can’t buy into everything that you see on social media… but regardless, it definitely has created a lot of self esteem issues, body dysmorphia, all of it.” — Josh (19:21)
Power of Vulnerability & Relationships:
Josh shares how opening up to his partner Mo was a game-changer, reinforcing that expressing emotions should be normalized for men.
“What that conversation did for me, it was uplifting. It was like, okay, I got it out. Now it’s out there. Now I gotta get to work.” — Josh (26:13)
“In California, you’re supposed to make a reasonable effort to turn it in… If you just keep it, you could be breaking misappropriation or theft laws.” — via ChatGPT (35:02)
“Don’t care.” — Sebas (46:03, joking)
Quickly pivoting to sincerity:
“Dude, there’s no way in hell I’d do it bro. There’s no way in hell.” — Josh (47:23)
The hosts agree that a million dollars isn’t worth compromising who they are. For things they don’t feel strongly about (“boner pills, sure”), but not core values.
“I have zero interest in looking at my girl’s phone. Zero, bro. That just sounds exhausting.” — Josh (53:15)
“I’m covering all day. That’s what siblings are for.” — Sebas (59:09)
“I feel very lucky… I will tell Mo how I feel and I know how to do it. A lot of guys don’t know how to do that.” — Josh (25:25)
“Bring up the conversation: ‘How do you feel? Is there anything I can do to help you be your best?’” — Josh (26:00)
Sugar-Free Slurpees Rant:
“Why hasn’t at least the United States made a sugar free Slurpee?” – Sebas (15:08)
Leads to a brief, hilarious debate about the legitimacy of sugar-free Slurpees.
Dreams of Simpler Times:
On reliving a day — family, childhood, and simple joys like road trips to the pueblo in Mexico or moments with grandparents are the real treasures.
“My grandpa would buy me a Gatorade and a Paleta… those moments, I would just love to relive one of those days… Just not worry about anything.” — Sebas (65:38)
Milestone Appreciation:
Josh wishes he had “lived in” the moment of hitting 1M YouTube subscribers; notes he didn’t appreciate it enough at the time:
“I want to relive it just to remind myself: you did it—live in this experience and feel proud.” — Josh (62:47)
This episode is a vibrant blend of humor, real talk, and heartfelt moments. Sebas and Josh reaffirm their commitment to authenticity (even for a million bucks), celebrate the journey of self-improvement, and advocate for vulnerability as a strength, especially for men. Through laughter and honesty, they bring fresh perspective to modern life, the influencer landscape, and the emotional realities beneath the surface.
For listeners or new fans, this episode is a showcase of the hosts' depth, wit, and commitment to real conversation—plus, it’s packed with relatable laughs and “couldn’t-script-it” moments.
