So I. I was living in my car across the street at my friend's house, and he lives across the street from Scientology. And I was going online, so I was like, I wonder what goes on inside. Like, I know all these billionaires pay money to believe in an alien that a science fiction writer wrote about. So I'm Googling it online, like, what goes on inside Scientology? And, like, there's, like, rumors of what goes on, but I was like, I don't want to believe some rumor. Like, I want to see it for myself. You know, there's all these conspiracies of what goes on inside. But, like, I just, like, just show me what goes on inside. So then I look. I start watching these, like, Scientology documentaries. So I'm like, okay, finally, if I watch these documentaries, I'll find out what goes on inside. And none of the documentary show what goes on inside. I'm like, what? Like, million with a million dollars? These guys couldn't figure out what the answers to Scientology. So I was like, you know what? I'm homeless in my car right now, and I could even make a better documentary than all these documentaries. So I call it the world's best Scientology documentary. We made it with a $50 budget, and I was homeless, had no video experience ever in my life, and I still made it A better documentary. We found out all their secrets and. Well, not all their secrets, but we found out a lot of their secrets.

It's fascinating because we've also. Did you find yourself on the bad end of Scientology?

Yeah, they tried suing me for like a million dollars. I guess they do that a lot. Yeah. But then I made my own religion called the Church of Scientology. Sucks. It got approved by the irs, and now I just believe that everything I'm saying in my documentary is true. I just believe that Scientology sucks, and so they can't sue me for what I believe in, you know, or else that's discriminating me against my religion. And that's how I got out of that one.

No, I've never used a lawyer until like a couple weeks ago, actually. So, though, everything I've done, my entire YouTube career has been without a lawyer. And I think if I had a lawyer, I wouldn't be able to do the stuff I'm doing, you know, exactly.

The like two or three times I've ever talked to a lawyer, they're like, that's the worst idea in the world. If you go through with that, you are screwing yourself. And then I end up doing it and ends up, like, always working out.

Yeah, well, I put out a feeler. I was like, hey, if anyone has like, crazy problems that the police can't solve, like, I'll solve it for you, you know?

Well, he was telling me that this corporation was telling him that if he sues them, they're going to drag it out in court later, like, and they're going to use every legal loophole they can in order to like, basically destroy his, like, dad, who's in poor health. And I just. That that story seemed like, super compelling. I was like, 1. I use crazy legal loopholes, you know, so, like, if they're using crazy legal loopholes for bad and I use crazy legal loopholes for good, this will be the perfect battle, you know, and so that was my thinking going into it.

Well, but did you. Did you even. Did it seem like when you were entering to this that it would get this extreme?

[Reckless Ben]

I don't know. I just tried like 20 or 30 videos all at once, and about half the videos I would. I thought there was gonna be like, super extreme, you know, And I show up and then I'm like, okay, let's take down these bad guys. And it turns out they're like, not bad. Yeah, like, there Was a misunderstanding or something. So it was about, like, half the videos. And then, like, this was just one of the ones where it was like, I showed up. I'm like, okay, let's hear their side, you know, like, let's just go in the store and be nice with them. And within 10 seconds, we've been in the storage. Get out or we're calling the cops. Like, I don't know if you want your Legos back. Like, all, like, they're harassing us. And it was so, like, I tried to give them an opportunity to be the good guys, you know, and they didn't take it well. The audio, like, they could have. I could have just moved on to a different video, like, all the other videos, you know? But they. It seems like they wanted me to make a video on this by the way they treated me, you know?

Yeah, they've. They expanded this into this whole. Almost like a morality they were giving

me as a YouTuber. They're giving me, like, the perfect content. Like, that's exactly what I want for a story, you know?

Like, this is awesome. This would be devastating to me. I'm 42 years old. I can't sleep on a cot, man. I'm fucking.

It was kind of sad because, well, I was only in Utah for, like, four or five days, and we had all these like, cool things we wanted to do. So it was a little sad being, like, just sitting in a jail for, like, eight to 10 hours, just being like, well, I guess I spent all this money on all these props, you know, And I guess I can't do this. These ideas anymore. So that was sad. But, like, the actual jail part was, like, fun. Like, it was, like, a cool experience. Like, I just like doing things I've ever done before, like. Like trying something new every day, you know? So I was like, yeah, something new. I guess if I was in jail for, like, five or six days, and that would suck because it's like, okay, now I'm not doing anything new. I'm just doing the same thing over. That would suck.

But the fact I was only there for one day was, like, perfect, you know? It was like, oh, I get to try a new thing. And then, oh, yeah, you got to

Experience something and then leave. But it's like, did you notice, like, in your travail and your travels and all this kind of, like, when you bumped into the sort of, like, Mormon hand of the police, what was the distinct difference? Like, is there a difference between, like, when you wandered in this scenario? Like, does it. Because to me, Mormon world is its own universe. They don't really like to have us go inside. They don't want us in there.

That's how it felt. Yeah. It felt like, oh, I'm able to verify everything with evidence, but they don't like the fact that I'm here. And I want to say Mormons didn't like the fact I was here. Everyone happened to be Mormon that didn't like the fact that I was there. Whether or not that's the case or not, I don't know.

What I find is that they whitewash quite often when Mormonism is involved because of how much money.

I'm also white too, so.

But, yeah, but literally, I think that they cover up when Mormonism is involved in criminality. Like, they specifically. I've noticed every single time I've covered cult leaders, murderers, family annihilators that all happen to be Mormon, they always kind of leave that out. And they kind of like, yeah, because there's somebody.

It's weird. Yeah. Which is so weird because Mormons are supposed to be nice. And there's actually. It's crazy because a lot of Mormons are actually. I'd say the majority of Mormons are on my side, actually, right now. There was a Mormon protest, and I, like, showed up in disguise, and I was like, how long can I last before people realize who I am? You know? But they did a whole Mormon protest against the police for what they're doing, so. And a bunch of, like, very nice Mormons showed up who seemed very reasonable, you know, that were like, this is not what Mormonism stands for. And. But it was. It is so strange that so many Mormons too, though, are defending this. Like, I'm not going to get, like, too much into details for, like, privacy reasons, but one of the guys that was at the raid, his wife might be divorcing him because, like, the Mormon police are against him. And because of that, he must be doing something bad. Even though. And she won't even watch the videos because all her Mormon friends are like, don't watch this. This is anti Mormon propaganda. You know, and so they can't even watch my video. And so they might be getting it. He's not Mormon. But she's Mormon. And so like, it seems like they're getting a divorce because of. He got arrested by the Mormon police. So because of that, it's like, oh, well, if the Mormon police are against you must be have done something bad. And he's like, well, just watch the video and explain everything. And she's like, why can't that's anti Mormon propaganda. He's like. He's like, no. A bunch of Mormons are actually like, loving this. Like, look at this Mormon podcast he was on. Like, the Mormons are praising this. And she's still like, no, it's anti Mormon propaganda.

It's kind of funny, though. That's what happens, man. It's weird. It's weird. It's weird how it creates these blinders. I want so now. So they had created a way out. Right. Wasn't there a way out of the situation for a hot second where they were going to try to. There was some kind of settlement and then the. And then it just not had didn't happen. Correct.

There was like probably at least like 35 to 36 ways out by now. I'd say yes. Right now I am starting to make the ways out slightly harder. So right now their way out is now they have to do the chicken dance. So it's harder that before it was just give back the Legos. Now it's give back the Legos and do the chicken dance. I think next month we're going to upgrade it to the American Fork. Police has to rename American Fork, like Reckless Ben Town or something. So each month. So we're still going to give him ways out, but each month it's just going to get slightly harder and harder, you know, so it's like, if you want to get like, do that stuff now, it's the easy way. It's just going to get harder and harder the longer they wait, you know.

So they put a gag on order on you, they've arrested you, they've searched you, they did stuff. And they are still. We are still at point zero.

So they finally took the gag order off. Our lawyers contacted their lawyers and were basically like, hey, like, if I'm not able to talk, like, they told like, I don't know what you're allowed to say on Netflix, but they said I was gonna bomb their building.

And obviously I never said anything like that. So basically we said, because you lied to get me silenced. That's like super illegal on their part, you know, and they're gonna have to be for every Day I'm silenced they're gonna have to pay damages. So, like, we can report a lot of damage. Like we were going like this, and then the minute my gag order hits, we go like this, you know, so they're technically responsible for every day I'm silenced because they lied to silence me. And we can prove their lies with proof and evidence. So it's basically a slam dunk case we have against them. Like, we don't want to be responsible for these damages. And so. And so they gave us our. So we revised the restraining order. Basically everything is still in there, just freedom of speech back. I don't know. So Bricks and Minifigs corporate would hire Josh and Brandon to do what's called franchise churning, which is where you take. Have a small business owner build up a franchise and then you steal that franchise from them and you take it as your own. You screw them over. Now we profit a whole, like half million dollars or whatever. You know, it's called franchise turning. And Brandon and Josh were the ones that would go and take over the freight, like, do the hostile takeovers is what they call it.

You know, it's been a net negative for bricks and minifigs, so I could see why they would want to do the chicken dance and get out of this. But I've been told by some pretty high up people that they are never gonna do the chicken dance. So it's do the chicken dance or destroy your 400 million dollar company. Which one's worse? I don't know. Some pretty high. People have told me that both options seem equally as bad for bricks and minifigs.

No, I have been watching. So actually kind of now there's a lot of like law channels, like Legal Eagle. Like there's probably like 10 different law channels that have been covering this that have been doing a really good job. So I just watch their videos and I feel I can get free legal advice, which is nice.

No, not really. Before my day would be like I wake up, edit, go to sleep and like film. And then right now I just wake up, film, edit, go to sleep. It's pretty much the same.

Yeah, it's weird, right? Because I do think that in many ways, for a man being a Mormon, it's fantastic. You get really. Oh, yes, you get one. One of the secret things also within the Mormon communities is how if you're a man of a certain standing, with a certain. You just get a job, dude. You just get. You just walk. They just take care of you. They're super, super. As you can see, they're very concerned about money and making money and building businesses. It's a part of their religious views is the idea.

That's why some of them will make like, scam businesses, because there's like such a high pressure for them to be successful that if they don't have the skills to be successful. They turn to scams. I guess.

I think that you just hit upon a central tenet of the Mormon mind, which is the exact thing which is that you have tripped into Sad. No, it is. It is an entire.

Because there's such a pressure for them to be successful that if someone's just like, stupid, they can't be successful. It's like, oh, I have to turn to scamming, you know?

Exactly. Because it is about that there is a celebration of this central patriarch being a businessman, a family leader. A lot of pressure. The woman, unfortunately, is like a passenger. She's kind of kept like a pet. That's got to make babies.

Oh, no. All the things are connecting. Because that was my biggest question is like, why would a Mormon lie and steal? But now it's kind of making sense.

I think they have something called a crowdfund meitis, which is what I think they might have. It's. It's basically like the fear of gofundmes. And I think they have that in American Fork Police. It sucks. It's like really rare. Like, not many people have, like, almost like no one has it, you know, but it's weird that, like someone in a police department, it's just unfortunately someone in a police department would have that condition, you know.
