Hjo. Back with you on your Monday. Thank you so much to everybody who listens, who downloads, who supports this little show called Laugh With Me. Johnny, I gotta tell you, a record breaking week last week, record breaking numbers for your boys at Laugh with me, nearly 90,000 downloads of the three brand new episodes last week. I just, I want to shout out our guests from last week, like, thank you so much for joining us and for everybody who's thinking, you know, should I, should I jump in? Now is now the time to not only guest on Laugh With Me, but maybe, you know, get involved a little more on the, the financial side. My answer to you is yes. And it's always a good time for that answer to be yes. Johnny, we're doing big things here. Johnny, we're doing big things here. We've got ourselves a couple of big, big topics that we need to address here today. It's going to be another big week with three episodes. So we are, we are grinding it out as, as the folks say. And something that I have been grinding it out on lately is something that I didn't think was going to be so difficult. I did not think I was going to have such a hard time jumping back into something that I've spent years and years and years on. Something that just came so natural to me and that was playing the NCAA college football game. I played on Xbox and not that that matters anymore. I mean, I'm, you know, if you play on, I always want to play like my, my brother like his PlayStation. You know, if I lose, I, I'm, obviously, I'm an Xbox guy, so I'm gonna blame the buttons, but the buttons are fairly similar, as everyone knows. But I played, I'm a guy who's been playing college football or Madden or some, you know, type of it since the mid-90s. And I played it a lot. I mean, hours on hours on hours, season after season, national title after national title for years, up until the game ended, whenever that was 2016, whenever that was that the game ended, obviously I wasn't playing anymore and I stopped playing the old games. You just move on to whatever's going on now. Then I start playing Madden primarily. But then, you know, as life gets there and you get older and you're working and kids and whatever is going on in your life, you get older and you play a little less. And for me it was a lot less. It was. If I could play a couple of games a season, I felt pretty good about it. Now my son is old enough now where he's kind of taking that role I used to have, where he's playing it quite a bit, which is awesome. I love seeing that. But I thought this year, because the last couple years, because, you know, NCAA has been back a couple years now, it's just to give you a kind of a mindset of how good I was back the day. Now this isn't me saying I would could win some tournaments or could beat anybody that came across me. No, I would play, you know, my own deal play the dynasties try to take. I famously took Louisiana Lafayette from a nothing to a national champion, multi time over, had a Heisman trophy winner. And I, and I've said this so many times that it is stuff of legend to my, to my son that he's just like, you know, are you going to be Louisiana Lafayette this year? Are you going to play? And I'm like, yeah, yeah. And I haven't really dove into it the last couple years, but then this year I'm like, you know what? I think it's time I show them what I can do. I think it's time that I revisit the glory days and I take Louisiana, Louisiana Lafayette, them raging Cajuns and I bring him back to glory and turn them into national champions once again. And I didn't think, I knew it was gonna be difficult because I knew it was going to be different. As far as the gameplay, I knew recruiting was going to be a little different now, you know, but I figured after a few games I'm gonna have this baby down and I'm going to be back to, you know, whether, whether I'm as good at the recruiting part of things or not, it's not going to matter because my gameplay, the wins are going to stack up and it's just not going to matter. I'm going to have players flocking to come play for the raging Cajuns. Now a couple of things there one apparently my style of offense, which is a, you know, a basic running attack with slants, moving the sticks, grinding clock. Apparently that style of offense is non existent in 2026. So I'm playing with the Raging Cajuns and they run a spread. And I'm gonna tell you, the last time I played this game, you know, on a, on a serious level, RPO didn't exist. So now my playbook is littered with RPOs. And I don't even know, like I'm, I'm just quickly, well, the play clocks run. I'm quickly just trying to find a play I'm familiar with. I, and I wouldn't even begin to know what buttons to hit in order to run the rpl. Like, I obviously know what, what I'm looking for when I'm watching a game, but as I'm calling plays and running was a little more difficult. So in, in an old school fashion, you know, I, I, when I set my schedule for the Raging Cajuns, I added a, you know, a big time player, a Power 14 to try to help my strength of schedule out in case I went on a little tear. Well, that's not the way to do it. I mean, I'm getting, I start playing the first game and I'm, you know, I get smoked, but I score a touchdown and I'm feeling okay. But actually I lost to it. Fcst. That's, let's start there. Let's start with the fact that I lost to an FCS team. And Braden, my son, he's, you know, 16. He's just crushing me. You know, he's, he's leading the Huskers back to top 10 in the country in his dynasty, whereas I'm losing to FCS teams in my Louisiana Lafayette dynasty. You know, and he's like, dad, you can't lose to them. I'm like, it's okay. First game, I'm, I'm gonna bounce back first game, right? It's okay. I'm going to bounce back. And I'm thinking I better bounce back this, otherwise this thing's going to go south quick. And now they, you know, they have certain things you got to do in order to not get fired, you know, and the recruiting, recruiting is way more intense. But I figured, hey, I'm going to ignore that a few, you know, a little bit here early on in the season so that I can't focus on the gameplay because I really need to focus on the gameplay. So I get into a few more games and I'm, I win one
Spinquest Advertiser
but
Jeremy Odom
then I'm losing, I'm losing a bunch of games. I get down to, I'm playing uab, which good, good team, and I'm setting up for a game winning field goal. I'm down two, setting up for a game winning field goal and I can't kick for. And I don't know if it's that the. They change the way you kick and it's just impossible. Maybe it's not me, maybe it's just impossible or maybe it's me. But either way, Braden did offer he would do the kick for me. It was like a 40 some yard field goal to win the game. He hits the kick. I did the rest of the game by the way, but he does the kick, saves, saves the game for me. So I got the win there. So here we are, we are six games into the year. I'm two and four. I just lost the Troy and they were one in one and four. When I fade when I started the game and they beat me 217 and now, and that's a, this is a game and I, I'm driving, I'm moving the ball, I'm getting in position. I love how my running games come together. It's, it's offensively, I can't quite find like Pat the passing game, I can't quite find my identity there. And I'm throwing picks. Even though I, I feel like I'm starting to see the field better. I'm starting to read some, read the open guy a little better. So things are starting to happen, but I'm also taking some chances. And then there's the turnover. Either way, I can't be losing to Troy, that's for damn sure. So Braden begs the question. He's like, dad, I, I don't think you got it anymore. And it's really made me start to wonder because I'm six games in. This is where I really thought I would have turned the corner on the field and then I could start to focus on recruiting. Now two games ago, Braid's like, let me help you through recruiting. All right? So he takes the sticks and he starts, you know, throwing recruiting hours and nil like this. There's just a lot to think about now in the recruiting. So he helps me out, gets me going. And now week to week, I get it, I know what I'm doing. So I just, I'm focused on our guys, our targets. And you know, it looks like I'm gonna get a couple of guys, but I really thought the gameplay on the field would be Coming along just a little bit better right now. I definitely thought I would already be setting myself up for what bowl game I'm going to. Am I. Am I in the mix in the conference, you know, for a championship? Instead, the. The school is losing faith. I think the athletic director is losing faith in me, and now my. My job's at risk, and that's just not how I thought this thing was gonna go. And now I'm starting to wonder, is this a young man's game? Is. Is. Are my. Are my best days in college football beyond behind me? And I hope not. I hope as I continue and progress through the season, something clicks and I can turn this thing around. You know, if it's not this season, but, you know, some momentum to get me into the next season, I'm gonna see it through. I. I say that right now. I'm not gonna quit on this. I can't. I can't. I have told the legend of me turning around Louisiana Lafayette. I mean, that's the whole. That was the whole thing. The. My stories of turning around Louisiana Lafayette, the national title contenders, is why he wanted to play the game in the first place years ago. And now here we are. And, yeah, I've. I got a lot of work ahead of me. I'll keep you posted. But I am starting to wonder if my best days are behind me. It's really sad. I hope not. I mean, I, you know, playing, like, other games, I. I noticed playing some old, like, Super Mario World, I noticed, you know, I'm dying a lot more. I'm not, you know, just flying through levels like maybe I used to. So I don't know if it's. I just got to build up my repetition again, you know, because when you're younger, you playing a lot. Maybe I need to build up my rep, my repetition, and just put those hours back in. Then it's like I don't have those hours. So I don't know. I don't know, but I gotta find it. Louisiana Lafayette University is. Is relying on me. I mean, they've got a lot invested in me turning this bad boy around. So I'll keep you posted. But I am excited that the game's back.
Jack Bilyeu

a new mythical creature in town with smaller small feet. Yeah, we're talking about a very odd looking raccoon people are now calling Jimothy. Yeah, Cat resurrects. Jack Bilyeu went looking for that creature. He joins us live in Ballard right now. So did you find him, Jack?
Jack Bilyeu
Well, we looked hard but he did not turn up. Probably sleeping right now because raccoons are, after all, nocturnal. But just because we didn't see him doesn't mean he's not out there because he is all over social media. Take a look. An Instagram post launched the animal into fame. It sits at more than 300,000 likes. Since then, other people have taken to the web to post their sightings of this animal they called Jimothy. Like this clip of the raccoon walking around on someone's deck. We spoke to neighbors who are eager to soon have a sighting of their own.
Jeremy Odom
Kind of has some sort of physical abnormality.
Ari Chambers
Kind of looks a little bit like
Jeremy Odom
a cryptid, but very cute.
Jack Bilyeu
I keep hearing that word about this cryptid. Tell me, what does that mean to you?
Jeremy Odom
Yeah, kind of almost a little supernatural. Kind of like Bigfoot or a yeti or something. Kind of becoming infamous really quickly.
Jack Bilyeu
Now we reached out to the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife about this animal. A spokesperson says it's not clear why it looks the way it does, but because it appears to get around just fine on its own, people should leave it alone. And not feed it. Now, they also said you really shouldn't ever feed any raccoons. We'll let you know when they find out exactly what caused this. But people online are saying that this could be a disorder called short spine syndrome. We brought that unofficial diagnosis to a professional veterinarian. We'll have her Response tonight at 6:15. Live in Ballard, Jack Bilyeu, Cairo 7 News.
Chelsea Handler
It looks like if a little kid drew a picture of a raccoon and it came to life. But you be you, Jimothy, whatever you feel good with. Yes, you fancy little gentleman Jack.
Jack Bilyeu
Thanks.
Jeremy Odom
Okay, with all that being said, it is time for. For another Laugh with Me reports. Ladies and gentlemen, this is Laugh With Me reports, where we cover the stories that traditional journalism is too cowardly to touch. I mean, we're hearing it from local folks, we're hearing it from us. We're waiting for this bad boy to hit national. And I think. I think we're getting close. Our top story tonight, Seattle has a new local celebrity. No, it's not a tech billionaire, and no, it's not a guy with the nickname Big Dumper. It is a raccoon named Jimothy. Apparently, Jimothy's become somewhat of like a neighborhood legend after repeatedly showing up around Seattle posing for pictures, casually just hanging out with people, and generally behaving like he pays property taxes, like he is the epitome of act like you own the place. This raccoon's become so beloved that people don't even refer to him as a cat, as a raccoon. I mean, he is legit Jimothy. That's first name, basis, fame, Zendaya Jimothy. If someone says, did you see Jimothy today? Everyone knows exactly who they're talking about. Meanwhile, I could perform a comedy act in a city three times and people still ask if my name is Jason. And no, it's not. It's Jeremy. I'll take JL. Jimothy's got a better personal brand than I do currently. Now, here's what fascinates me. Seattle looked at a trash panda and collectively decided, yeah, that's our guy. And honestly, that feels very Seattle. Other cities have mascots, like Philadelphia has Rocky. He's fictional. New York has the Statue of Liberty. Just a gift in the middle of the water. Seattle looked into a dumpster and said, you know what? That little criminal has leadership qualities. Jimothy reportedly walks around neighborhoods with the confidence of someone whose rent is only 37amonth. I mean, he legit owns the place. He's not afraid of people. He's not afraid of dogs. He's probably not even afraid of the irs. Like, he's. He's just like, come at me, guys. Come at me. He's got that look that says, go ahead, audit me. Everything I own came from your garbage. You have to admire Jimothy's confidence, though. Raccoons have mastered the art of acting like they belong. Jimothy could walk into a Starbucks, stand in line, and if he had an iPad under one arm, nobody would even question it. They'd assume he just works remotely. He's probably. He's probably ordering an oat milk cold brew. I mean, he does look like, as odd as he looks. Jimothy does look like he would have a very specific Starbucks order. The barista will just ask for his name. He'll be like, jimothy. And I like to think he sounds like that. Like, Jimothy, barista won't even blink. Grande for Jimothy, just completely normal. Now, wildlife experts always remind people, don't feed the raccoons. And that's really good advice, but if Jimothy shows up at your barbecue, good luck explaining to everyone why you turned him away. You gonna tell Jimothy?
Lele Pons
No.
Jeremy Odom
He's been Internet famous longer than half the influencers making skincare videos in their cars. Honestly, Jimothy has figured life out. No mortgage, no meetings, no emails, no password resets. He just spends his day eating snacks he didn't pay for while strangers tell him how adorable he is. I mean, he is headline news right now. Meanwhile, we're paying three streaming subscriptions just to watch people renovate tiny houses they'll never live in. Jimothy's entire career is walking around looking slightly surprised, and somehow, it's. It's kind of working. I also love that raccoons naturally look guilty. Every photo of Jimothy looks like he just stole Cadillac converters. Even when he's doing absolutely nothing, he's just sitting there. And I can't explain. Like, you just. You can't because your hands literally look like tiny burglar gloves. Come on, Jimothy. Like, at least throw on some clothes. Evolution made raccoons look like every one of them owes somebody money. Imagine if Jimothy got elected mayor, and I think that's possible. Would Seattle even notice? His platform would simply be more trash cans later, garbage pickup, free climbing on utility poles, mandatory midnight zoomies. And honestly, we've all voted for worse. And eventually, every celebrity reaches a point where they become difficult. Like I can't wait for Jimothy's rider. I require 12 organic grapes, one unsecured compost bin, and absolutely no coyotes within five miles. And that's. That's pretty fair, honestly. Now, I know some people are wondering, should we be encouraging wildlife to interact with humans and probably not. Should we admire Jimothy from a respectful distance? Yeah, probably. That's probably the safest way to do it. But despite his celebrity status, he's still a raccoon. He's one bad moon away from reminding everyone why the phrase trash panda includes the word trash. So congratulations to Jimothy, the only celebrity whose biggest scandal so far is allegedly stealing someone's hot dog, and which, honestly, in 2026, might make him the most wholesome celebrity we have left. And that, ladies and gentlemen, is the latest report from Laugh With Me. Deuce. Johnny. I love that little guy. Jim.
Yamaneika Saunders
Thieves.
Jeremy Odom
He doesn't look like he's got. You know, he's missing part of his body, that's for damn sure. They say he's got some kind of like, spinal. Spinal. Not an injury, but a spinal disease or inform, like body deformity or something. But he. He just looks like a ball of fur with a little face, with a little panda. Like the panda. Little raccoon face. That's what he looks like to me. I don't know. That's my guy, though. I love Jimothy. If he was right here with me in studio right now, I'd. I'd feed him rack of ribs and corn dogs, that's for damn sure. He'd be getting them both, and I would feed it to him as we discuss the news. I think that's something he would be interested in. He wanted to get caught up on what's going on in the world. Well, there you have it. This is Laugh With Me, a podcast with Jerry.

Podcast: Laugh With Me
Host: Jeremy Odom
Release Date: July 20, 2026
In this episode, host and comedian Jeremy Odom reflects, laughs, and voices serious doubt about his own abilities as he attempts a return to the world of NCAA college football video games. As Jeremy recounts his glory days and current humiliations, he brings his trademark self-deprecating humor and personal storytelling. The episode also delivers a playful “Laugh With Me Reports” investigation into Seattle’s latest viral celebrity: a raccoon named Jimothy. Along the way, reminiscences, family banter, and a barrage of sports and gaming nostalgia keep the tone lively, honest, and relatable.
(02:46–16:19)
Jeremy's Gaming Legacy:
Jeremy fondly recalls his years of dominance in the NCAA college football video game, particularly his legendary reign with Louisiana Lafayette, turning them into a virtual dynasty—a story “of legend” to his son.
Facing New Challenges:
Upon returning to the series after many years (and a significant break since the game’s hiatus), Jeremy is hit with the stark realization: he’s lost his edge.
Aging Gamer Dilemma:
Jeremy expresses humorous existential dread over whether “this is a young man’s game” and if his best days are behind him—noting diminishing skills not just in sports games but even in classics like Super Mario World.
Family Dynamics & Banter:
Braden, Jeremy’s teenage son, is now the household NCAA king (“leading the Huskers back to top 10 in the country”), and has begun coaching Jeremy through both recruiting and actual gameplay tasks (including literally kicking Jeremy’s winning field goal).
Embracing the Challenge:
Jeremy pledges not to give up and holds on to the mythos of the “Louisiana Lafayette turnaround”—half for himself, half for the legend he’s created for his son.
Video Game Zeitgeist:
Jeremy observes how gaming culture is at its best when both NCAA and GTA are releasing new installments.
