Kelly, Albert and Jan are back from their hiatus. The trio reflects on the incredible life of Kelly’s beloved father-in-law, Saul Consuelos. I definitely prefer the gay proms to the straight proms. Like I love, you know. Cause these guys like, they take you to prom and then they look at you like, well, I'm like, well what? No. Yeah. Chicken cordon bleu. It's gonna take a lot more than that to get my prom dress off. Nice try. Somebody gonna cue me or do I cue myself? Cue yourself. Okay. Oh my gosh. Welcome back everyone to another live episode of let's Talk off camera. And back by popular demand. This. This was insisted upon.
Jan Chile
Yes.
Albert Bianchini
Yes.
Kelly Ripa
I find that hard to believe. I'm wondering who it was. Today is an ltoc team episode. Ltoc Jam. I found out today stands for let's talk off camera. Was that yes? Yeah. Huh. and shout out to our producer Michael.
Kelly Ripa
Our producer Michael.
Jan Chile
Happy birthday.
Albert Bianchini
Happy birthday.
Michael Halperin
Thank you guys so much.
Kelly Ripa
I appreciate it. I wouldn't want to be anywhere else. Everyone, if you're recognizing that voice, that's right. That is Michael from Jenna and Hoda's show. Also, we're going to poach him. Yeah, we're going to poach him. We're going to take him. He is a newborn baby. Today I have two Children older than you, Michael. Two children and one that is younger than you. So. So I still feel like I could be your mom's friend.
Albert Bianchini
I have a relationship older than him. It's very bizarre.
Kelly Ripa
Yes, I have a relationship.
Albert Bianchini
We all do.
Kelly Ripa
I'm far older than him if it makes you guys feel any better.
Michael Halperin
I would have never guessed that. I thought you guys all had kids
Jan Chile
in middle school or now we like them more.
Kelly Ripa
What a bullshit. Well, you know, it's cruel to lie to your elders on your birthday.
Albert Bianchini
How dare you accuse a gay man of having a kid.
Kelly Ripa
I won't lie anymore.
Michael Halperin
Don't wor.
Kelly Ripa
Excuse me, we are on radio. Andy.
Albert Bianchini
Oh, sorry.
Kelly Ripa
Father of two.
Albert Bianchini
Father of two, Right.
Kelly Ripa
Father of two.
Albert Bianchini
But when he was my age, I don't think Andy. Maybe he did have Ben, but I don't know. I have to think about that. Maybe.
Kelly Ripa
Yeah, maybe Ben. Ben. Maybe he had Ben by then. So you're late to the party, Albert. I am late to the party. Happy birthday.
Albert Bianchini
Happy birthday, Michael.
Kelly Ripa
We are thrilled.
Michael Halperin
Appreciate it.
Kelly Ripa
We love working with you. And he's got a great voice listeners. Yes, you are not. I find that when he talks, I'm then going, yes, I'm trying to make my voice. Okay, let's get into the hiatus. What did y' all do? Well, we were all away.
Jan Chile
Yeah, we were away. I went to Florida.
Kelly Ripa
How was it?
Jan Chile
I'm gonna sell my husband out for a second.
Kelly Ripa
Please do. I love it.
Jan Chile
So we're at the airport and by the way, no issues with tsa. I know. There's been so much talk about it.
Kelly Ripa
I didn't have same. I had not one issue except that I did have to take my shoes off and I didn't have socks on. Which is another discussion. I. Well, I was wearing my Uggs.
Jan Chile
Britney.
Kelly Ripa
No, my Uggs never. I was wearing these same travel Uggs that I always wear cuz they never set off an alarm. I always wear the same outfit when I travel because it's my non alarm sounding outfit. And suddenly I walked through and an alarm goes off. And I'm thinking that can't be me, that's an accident. And he goes, it's a random alarm. You've got to stand over there and go through the other machine. So I go through the other machine and they're like, what's on your ankles? And I'm like nothing's on my ankles. And he's. And he's showing me like the boots. And I go. And he goes, can you pull up your pant legs? And I pull up my pant legs and I show him the ugg boots. And he goes, you have to put your ugg boots through the no screening machine. And I looked at him and I said, but I do not have sex.
Albert Bianchini
Oh, no.
Kelly Ripa
And he was like, too bad. So sad.
Albert Bianchini
Oh, no.
Kelly Ripa
So then I was tiptoeing. I met some very nice people that were, like, you know, very kind. They saw that I was traumatized by having to walk through the airport barefoot. Yeah, like, gross. Yeah, like. Yeah. It was not. Not my finest moment.
Jan Chile
Well, so what happened was we were at the airport, and, you know, it's that time where they're starting to announce the. The flight to take off. And they say people who have disabilities, you know, can board first.
Kelly Ripa
That's your husband. All day.
Jan Chile
So my husband straps on his back brace, and he's like, we're going to the front of the line. And there's people in wheelchairs. And he is like, like, going ahead of them. And I'm like, glenn, come on. Like, let's not do this. And he's like, nope, we're doing this. So then we board the plane first. Okay, I'm embarrassed. It's embarrassing. Okay, we board the plane first, and then we proceed to go to our seats, which is the exit row, because that's. He books that.
Kelly Ripa
Cause it's more room, more leg room. And he's a very tall man, Right.
Jan Chile
So now he takes off his brace, and they come over and they say, are you capable to assist in an emergency? And he's like, yep, fully capable.
Kelly Ripa
No.
Jan Chile
How do you play both ends of this? Like, it's not cool.
Kelly Ripa
He just. You know what? Two. Two things can be true at the same time, Chan.
Albert Bianchini
That's right.
Kelly Ripa
Something tells.
Jan Chile
Help anyone in a case of.
Kelly Ripa
I'm not saying he's going to help anyone else. I'm saying he's going to help himself off. That he will help himself.
Jan Chile
I'm saying I'm selling him out for that. But otherwise, it was a really good trip.
Kelly Ripa
I was talking to a flight attendant, and they call it the miracle flights. Yeah, it's where, like, 12 wheelchairs wheel on onto the plane, and then when it's time to get off of the plane, they no longer need the wheelchairs. Did you know that they called it the miracle flights? We're on the radio.
Albert Bianchini
Sorry.
Kelly Ripa
No, speak out.
Albert Bianchini
Here's what pisses me off about said fucking wheelchairs is that those wheelchairs can't make it down the plane. So planes. Have a wheelchair. Have a plane wheelchair. That's narrow enough to go down. But all those motherfuckers don't really need a wheelchair, do they? Because guess what? Use the plane wheelchair. They walk to their seats. They run to their seats.
Kelly Ripa
Yes, it is a miracle. Miracles occur every day. Miracles occur at flight.
Jan Chile
How was your trip?
Kelly Ripa
My trip was, as, you know, complicated. You know, I was really like hunkering down for two weeks of rest and relaxation, which, you know, it's been, it's been like, it's been a lot for people listening and may not know at home. My beloved father in law, Mark's dad has been sick for a while, quite a while. And we never talk about it because we just kept hoping. I don't know, I don't know what we were hoping for because you don't get better from this. But, but we were hoping for a miracle or more time with him or whatever. And he died quite suddenly and very unexpectedly. And I keep saying it's the shock of the inevitable. We knew it was going to happen, we just didn't know it was going to happen instantaneously on a random Monday. And my phone was ringing and my nephew is getting married and it was my sister in law, Kelly, and she was calling me and we usually just communicate by text. She never calls. But I assumed it was something about the wedding or the travel accommodations because it's a destination wedding. So I assumed it was about that. And I answered the phone and she was crying. And as soon as she started crying, then I started having. I started hyperventilating. And she said, we're trying, we're trying to reach Mark. We can't reach Mark. And she told me what had happened and I was able to get Mark on the phone and I. It was one of those things that I was telling him that I was telling him this news and it was really, you know, I. I wish I was more articulate and artful when I told him, but I just said it, I spit it out, you know, and I was like, dad is gone and you need to call your brother immediately. And Mark being Mark, he said, okay, I'm going to sound rude right now, but I need you to do some things for me. And he gave me a list. And Mark is very big on lists. So he gave me a list of what he needed from me in second. And so he really like went into like damage control mode or crisis management mode. Like he went into a mode of how do I get there? What's the first flight? How do I. I need a car when I arrive because we're not going to want to try to like get an Uber when we need a car. I need you to call the, you know, the hurts people. It was just like thing, thing, thing, thing, thing. And when he went into work mode, then I went into work mode and then I had to call our kids and it was, that was the worst pain I think I'll ever experience in my life. But you know, my father in law was the greatest. He really was the greatest guy. Everybody the greatest. I mean, the greatest.
Albert Bianchini
Albert the greatest.
Kelly Ripa
There's nobody better. They don't make him like him anymore. And you know, I, we just keep sending each other funny videos and like amazing photos that we're finding. And you know, when I look at my husband, when I look at my kids, all I see is my father in law. They all have the family face.
Jan Chile
I mean they're identical. It's wild. I just saw what you posted today on Instagram and it's beautiful. And I really loved what Mark's. You guys both talked about on the show yesterday in terms of just like his story, his immigration story and just what he contributed to this country. And it's, it's amazing. And people need to like, people need to hear those kinds of stories.
Kelly Ripa
They really do. Because my, this country is a safer place because of the work my father in law did. And he came to this country alone as a 15 or 16 year old from Mexico. Came here alone, went into the armed services straight out of high school in the navy so he could go to college. He went to college. He got his master's degree while he was a young father and had three small children. And he was a, you know, worked for Special operations command for 30 years.
Jan Chile
Wow.
Kelly Ripa
He was an extraordinary man, a brilliant man and so funny. And once he became a grandfather, that was it. He became like a different, like he, he was like, we the kids, you know, Mark and his brother and his sister all say like, you guys don't know how scary Nono used to. Like, Nono was scary. And like our kids only know him as like, like mushy Nono who will give them donuts and take them to like he would take them to what's that donut place Was. It was very pop Krispy Kreme. His whole thing was like, like we were always, not just me, all of the siblings, like try to keep our kids like eating healthy, keep them away from sugar. And like we knew as soon as Nona was loading, I'm like, he's taking them to Krispy Kreme. And just so you know, he's going to bring back a dozen donuts, but they've already eaten a dozen at Krispy Kreme. By the time they get back here when they ask for their donut, know they're already sugared up.
Jan Chile
Yeah.
Albert Bianchini
You said something earlier today about when I forgot this, but that you got all the kids down to see him.
Kelly Ripa
Yeah.
Albert Bianchini
Which tell that. I mean, I thought that was wonderful.
Kelly Ripa
Mark just had a sense. He. He's very connected to his parents. It's one of the reasons I married him. I was like, this man is going to make a great spouse because he's very close with his parents. And he. He just had a sense. He had a sense. And he said, guys, we're gonna run an Airbnb. We're gonna go to North Carolina. He flew all the kids home. Joaquin was here, but Michael was working out of state. Lola was in London. He flew the kids home. And he's like, we're gonna take this weekend and spend it with Nonu and Nona. And they spent the entire weekend together.
Jan Chile
Oh, wow.
Kelly Ripa
And it was a fabulous, fabulous weekend. And the following. I think the following Tuesday he went into the hospital. So he just sort of knew. It's like, it's now or never. Like, we gotta get the kids home because. Because, I mean, we travel. Let's see. I'm trying to think of the last time we traveled together was I think 2021 or 2022, besides making periodic trips down to North Carolina. But it was always like one of us or two of us. Like there was never like all of us. And Mark really wanted all of us together.
Albert Bianchini
You know, he's such a. Mark is such a strong person. And I think when I found out about it too, I thought it just gave me peace to know how dedicated the both of you were to him, even with him living so far away. You went down there all the time?
Kelly Ripa
Well, all the kids.
Albert Bianchini
I know. It was. Yeah, it was everybody. Right. I'm saying, given your proximity, it was just incredible to watch and to know that you, you know, you're not going to regret. I wish I had gone. I wish I had seen him. Because you have. That you had. You did. And I just made me very.
Kelly Ripa
My only my regret in life is that not everybody in the world got to know my father in law.
Albert Bianchini
He was incredible.
Kelly Ripa
Incredible.
Albert Bianchini
We were telling stories. I was saying to Mark.
Kelly Ripa
Yeah.
Albert Bianchini
When he. We first moved into our offices in soho.
Kelly Ripa
Yeah.
Albert Bianchini
And we got all this furniture that we had to assemble. And Mark's like Let's do it ourselves. And then he was in town visiting.
Kelly Ripa
Oh. And he. I'm sure he put it together in three seconds.
Albert Bianchini
He did, but we were like, Mark and I were racing through all the furniture and he put together one chair in the time that it took us. We did five. And that was the only chair that stood the test.
Kelly Ripa
Yeah, because. Because you know why? Because he put it together correctly. You guys were like.
Albert Bianchini
He was yelling at us that we were going too quickly.
Kelly Ripa
No, I know, I know. He was like. He was an exacting person. He was a linguist.
Albert Bianchini
He was an incredible man.
Kelly Ripa
Yeah, Incredible, incredible man.
Jan Chile
My grandparents all passed away when I was super young.
Kelly Ripa
Me too.
Jan Chile
So I didn't have that relationship. And for, you know, for Luke and Kaden, I'm so psyched that they have a relationship with my dad. So it means so much. And I just love that your kids were so. Are so close with your parents.
Kelly Ripa
Yeah, it's very beautiful. Our kids have been very fortunate. This is their first loss. Like they've never lost a grandparent. This is their first loss. And I was trying to explain to them, like, you have to appreciate how lucky you were to be 28, 24 and 23 and have known some wild. No, no. All of your lives.
Albert Bianchini
Yeah.
Kelly Ripa
Like to have him and to have him be so present to the point where he would attend. I said this the other day on the air. He would attend back to school nights with me and people thought he was my husband.
Albert Bianchini
That's right.
Kelly Ripa
Which listeners, if you're outside of New York City, in New York City, my father in law was the average age of the dads in the schools in New York City. So it was not that unusual. But then like one year, Mark showed up and people were like, oh, my God. Kelly's traded her husband for a younger version of her husband.
Albert Bianchini
Oh, yeah, he was incredible.
Jan Chile
And I know Mark was super busy, which I think really probably helped him tremendously.
Kelly Ripa
It really did. And he, he said that to me. He said two things. He was grateful that his father was no longer suffering.
Jan Chile
Right.
Kelly Ripa
So that was like the gratitude. We were trying to approach everything with this word that is overused but important. Gratitude. Right. So we were grateful for the time we had with him. We were grateful for the time he got to spend with our children all their lives. We were grateful he was no longer suffering.
Michael Halperin
And.
Kelly Ripa
And we were grateful that Mark was, although not hosting the morning show, was able to be in rehearsal all day every day and then do previews at night.
Albert Bianchini
It wasn't even just A regular rehearsal week. It's tech week.
Kelly Ripa
Tech week. Well, I don't know what that means.
Albert Bianchini
Tech week on Broadway is like the worst week of any show ever. Because you're putting. You're building the show. You're not no longer just sitting in a room reading it like you're on a stage that you're going to enter from here. That's going to happen at this time. We're timing it out. So that happened on a Monday, and he had his first live audience coming in that Friday. Like, it's crazy that, that, that, that was the beginning of tech week, which
Kelly Ripa
it allowed him to focus. I just, you know, we're gonna have a beautiful memorial for him. And I think it'll be. It'll be like a beautiful. We're gonna do all the things that he loves. My father in law. Yeah. Not Mark. We're not gonna do anything Mark loves. We're doing things that my father in law love.
Jan Chile
Now, when you were in Palm Springs, we talked about this briefly.
Kelly Ripa
Yes.
Lisa Mantineo
You were a little Jewish.
Kelly Ripa
Yes. I mean, everybody said that. Like, it's a surprise. That wasn't my first.
Jan Chile
I feel like you were more Jewish than I was. You were in Seder way longer than I was.
Kelly Ripa
I was in double seders. I went to my friend Rosie Hertz's Seder and everybody was like, was the food terrible? Was the food terrible?
Jan Chile
And.
Kelly Ripa
And my friend Rosie is vegan, so for me, it was great. Like, vegan Seder to me was like a dream. I could, you know, do without the bitter herbs. I do like the horseradish.
Jan Chile
The horseradish is good. But in general, it's like, that meal is not ideal for me either. I don't love it. I don't even like Thanksgiving meal.
Kelly Ripa
Like, yes, she did have a. She did have a roast turkey breast for the non vegans at the, at the table that everybody was sang was delicious.
Jan Chile
For us, it's brisket at that meal, but it is, you know, that's. You had like a five hour Seder, right?
Kelly Ripa
Yeah, yeah, we had like a real. No, we had a real Seder. We had real, real Seder. But it was, it was fun. It was, it was. We had a great time. We had a lot of laughs. We had a lot of laughs at our end of the table and at the other end of the table. It was kind of quiet. And at one point, my friend Nan looked down and said, it's okay if you guys are having more fun. Our food is better down here.
Jan Chile
How was your food at Easter oh
Kelly Ripa
yeah, tell me about what's the food.
Albert Bianchini
I have a list.
Kelly Ripa
Okay, give me the list.
Albert Bianchini
So we was originally gonna be. We're gonna go out. It was gonna be a let's go out. And then it turned into, you know what, let's just do it here. Which let's just do it here to my family, as you know, is turns into like the feast that will feed for a month.
Kelly Ripa
Right.
Albert Bianchini
So I asked her to send me the list. You ready?
Kelly Ripa
Yes, I'm ready.
Albert Bianchini
Ham with orange and pineapple sauce, of course. Kielbasa with onions.
Jan Chile
What's kebab? What does that mean?
Albert Bianchini
So it's kielbasa sausage cut ups with sauteed onions. Here we go. Pasta timbale, which is with peas and pancetta. Pasta that's baked almost in like a cake pan. It was unbelievable.
Kelly Ripa
This is really like an all.
Albert Bianchini
It's only three.
Kelly Ripa
Easter is an all pork holiday. Go ahead.
Albert Bianchini
Potato dauphinois that were made in. I love that they were made in a cupcake. Yes.
Kelly Ripa
You can make them in a cupcake. And you flour out the potato. I saw that on Instagram.
Albert Bianchini
It's brilliant. Yeah, they were delicious. It's explained to Janly.
Kelly Ripa
Sliced potatoes that you put in a cupcake pan. You sort of flour them out and they're crispy and then tender and juicy on the. Yes, yes, I see your time too, Albert. I see it.
Albert Bianchini
And then roasted broccoli, roasted leeks with white wine. Sweet potato carrots with maple syrup.
Jan Chile
Roasted leeks with white wine. Sounds terrible.
Albert Bianchini
Peas, onions and panetta. Then of course the lard bread which is the prosciutto and yes, the bread
Kelly Ripa
with the cheese up in a cave.
Jan Chile
I don't even know how to start
Albert Bianchini
to start the meal.
Kelly Ripa
You're not Italian. These are Italian staples.
Jan Chile
None of Swenson.
Albert Bianchini
What did we start the meal with? The famous cold.
Kelly Ripa
Oh, oh, Pizza rustica. Oh, you had pizza rusta pizza rustica
Albert Bianchini
to start it, which is incredible.
Kelly Ripa
Oh my God.
Jan Chile
How many people were at this?
Albert Bianchini
And we'll to end the four. Oh, there were 10 people. So then she brings out at the end, there's all these desserts that are coming out. And then she brings out the grana pie, which is a grain pie, which is very famous Easter, Italian Easter thing. And she says, oh, Phyllis's mother in law made this. But Phyllis and the family don't eat it. So she puts it down and it looked beautiful. And I said, what's Phyllis's relationship with her mother in law?
Kelly Ripa
You know what you have to ask? You Know what? I just heard a dateline on this. People are poisoning people all over the place.
Albert Bianchini
I mean, it's an important question.
Kelly Ripa
Yes. Well, and we didn't get into. Besides that. Were there any other desserts?
Albert Bianchini
There were a ton of other desserts. I brought two things from Cinderella like it was a whole thing.
Kelly Ripa
Yeah, yeah.
Albert Bianchini
Red velvet cake.
Kelly Ripa
Yeah. Of course.
Albert Bianchini
The chocolate cake with the Easter egg shape on it.
Jan Chile
You know, the interview.
Kelly Ripa
How.
Jan Chile
Who's eating all of this?
Albert Bianchini
Jan. It just.
Kelly Ripa
Did Kyle bring his Tupperware? His famous. No, he didn't. Oh, my God.
Albert Bianchini
And he got in a lot of trouble that he didn't bring it.
Kelly Ripa
Yes. How did you get the food home?
Albert Bianchini
It was in. They ended up sending us home with their. With their Tupperware and with the big. What do you call them?
Kelly Ripa
Stackables. Stackable Tupperware. Yeah. Those are for pros. All right, we have to take a commercial break. We'll be back. If you know anything about me, it's that I love to do laundry. Michael Halperin
No. I played a lot of pickleball though.
Kelly Ripa
Okay, that's good. That's something. My girlfriend Parvaneh sprained her ankle very badly. She's on crutches and now in an air cast from a pickleball incident.
Jan Chile
No, I've been like playing for a
Kelly Ripa
year and I'm finally, finally like decent at it now.
Jan Chile
So it's a lot more fun when
Kelly Ripa
you're better at it. Good. Be careful. It's a, it's dangerous sport. Seth, watch that toe. Ashley, I too got pulled at the airport. You did? Yeah, I got the random boot scan. Yeah. What's going on with the boots?
Jan Chile
But I had socks on.
Kelly Ripa
I did not because I was wearing Uggs. And, and, and I've traveled with these boots exclusively. They do not set off alarms. Yeah, same thing. I felt like Uggs are the socks to me. Yeah. I wanted to walk around with no socks on though. Really.
Jan Chile
Get down, grow the Shake Shack.
Kelly Ripa
Walk around that airport.
Jan Chile
Do you think they ever stop you because you're Kelly Ripa?
Kelly Ripa
No, no, no, no, no, no. Okay.
Albert Bianchini
I think the computer does.
Kelly Ripa
Please. I was like, somebody recognize me here?
Jan Chile
Okay, I do have to ask you because over this hiatus, the only thing anyone has been talking, talking about is Summer House. Are you even in the know of
Kelly Ripa
what's going on as, you know, listeners? My son Michael is a producer on Summer House. So naturally, I know nothing.
Jan Chile
Really? You called him and he.
Kelly Ripa
I called him and he's told me Nothing.
Jan Chile
Okay. Do you have any concept of.
Kelly Ripa
So I know that it seems like it's a different version of that vanderpump guy and that controversy.
Jan Chile
Okay, it's not. Because from my understanding, unless we find out more information, nobody was cheating on anyone. That was a full blown cheating incident.
Kelly Ripa
Okay, that was full blown. Okay, so what is. So what? Why is everybody up in arms then?
Jan Chile
Okay, wait, is Lisa around? Because Lisa is Andy's producer, and Lisa
Kelly Ripa
knows the ins and outs of this whole thing.
Jan Chile
Knows Andy Cohen's.
Kelly Ripa
Yeah, because I saw Andy talking about it on radio. Andy and Andy seemed devastated and, like, there was, like, a lot of devastation in everybody's voices. And so if there's no cheating scandal, I guess I'm just confused as to what the scandal is. Again, I don't know. And I'm going to be perfectly frank. I have never seen Summer House, even though my son produces that show. It's a show that I, you know, I am a die hard, die hard Real Housewives fan. We should talk about Real Housewives of Rhode Island.
Jan Chile
Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah.
Kelly Ripa
Oh, my God. Oh, yeah.
Jan Chile
Oh, my God. Okay, we're gonna get back to that. Let's get back to it. But we do have Lisa, right? Lisa.
Kelly Ripa
Okay, Lisa, you're on.
Lisa Mantineo
So unlike the Scandival, this one is called Scamanda. And. And the four players here are Kyle and Amanda, who just in January filed for divorce.
Kelly Ripa
Okay, so they were married people.
Lisa Mantineo
They were married people for a number of years. And then the other two players in this situation are West Wilson and Sierra Miller. Sierra and Amanda are besties and confide in each other. West and Sierra have had an on again, off again relationship situationship. And what just came to light is that west and Amanda have been hooking up and they posted an Instagram post, a shared Instagram post, basically saying that, yes, they have been hooking up and they'd like privacy at this time. So kind of rocked everyone's world because Sierra had no idea. And Kyle, Amanda's ex husband, who's also friends with west, they all share that same shared Summer House had no idea.
Jan Chile
And again, Amanda and Sierra are best friends. And Sierra would always talk to Amanda about Wes. And now you're like, wait a second.
Kelly Ripa
Yeah, that's a breaking of the girl code. Right, the girl code.
Jan Chile
But also Amanda, she seemed a little broken at the time. And so I need to know what the deal is with Wes, because, I mean, he's funny, but, like, he must have some serious riz, because this guy lands girls left and Right.
Kelly Ripa
Oh, really?
Lisa Mantineo
He's super charming. Is he super charming? Andy west loves him.
Kelly Ripa
Andy loves him.
Lisa Mantineo
He loves him. He's a big fan. He calls him Westling.
Kelly Ripa
Yeah, Westling. I want to see his picture so I can get an idea.
Jan Chile
But Kyle was. Kyle has been.
Kelly Ripa
That can't be him.
Lisa Mantineo
Kyle is supporting Amanda because what's happened is the Internet, as it does, has like gone full blown force against Amanda. Everyone is teasing Sierra and all of Amanda's getting a lot of hate comments, but west really isn't. He's since gotten a lot of follows.
Jan Chile
So, like, he comes out the hero, she comes out the villain.
Kelly Ripa
Taylor's oldest time. Yeah. I mean, men get away with everything. It's so gross. It's so gross. Having said that, that it goes against girl code. You don't date your friends.
Jan Chile
Yes.
Kelly Ripa
And I don't care if he's like, you know, one foot in the grave.
Jan Chile
Yeah, I'm with you. I'm with you. They claim that they're in a very serious relationship. Right, Lisa?
Kelly Ripa
Yes.
Jan Chile
Yeah. This is like intense and maybe, I
Kelly Ripa
don't know, like they're going to take it to the next level. I don't know.
Jan Chile
But this reunion's coming up, so. They haven't shot the reunion.
Kelly Ripa
Oh, they haven't shot the reunion.
Jan Chile
Like, sit gold right now.
Kelly Ripa
You know what we should do? We should volunteer to work for Andy this week. When is he shooting at least, you know, soon.
Lisa Mantineo
He's on spring break right now, so.
Kelly Ripa
No, I know that.
Michael Halperin
Yeah.
Lisa Mantineo
You don't need that tea. You have it.
Jan Chile
Yes.
Lisa Mantineo
So I. Coming up, like, I think this coming week or so. Yeah.
Kelly Ripa
Okay, Jan, what we need to do is volunteer to be like production aides for the reunion and then you can explain to me. Did you watch Summer House?
Jan Chile
I watched this.
Kelly Ripa
Okay. So you know this world.
Jan Chile
I was fully involved in this. I was shocked by it. I denied it for so long. There were like these rumors.
Kelly Ripa
So there were rumors.
Jan Chile
There were rumors that crept up and everybody's like. But even I was like, it's not possible. Because everyone's like, that couldn't be possible. And then they confirmed the rumors and everybody's mind is blown. But it's not scandal. Scandal was way worse.
Kelly Ripa
That was.
Jan Chile
I don't know, I. I mean, not way worse. It's just different. Very different.
Kelly Ripa
Okay, here's, here's my question. Were west and Sierra. I wonder if they call her Cece.
Jan Chile
No, I don't think so.
Lisa Mantineo
I don't think so.
Kelly Ripa
But my girlfriend's my girlfriend.
Jan Chile
She's a beauty.
Kelly Ripa
Yeah, she is beautiful. Gorgeous. I don't know anything about this show. I just know that my friend Justin Sylvester was talking about her and he. And he put her picture up on the screen and I was like, she should be a model.
Jan Chile
I don't know if there's any truth to this rumor, but there was something posted on Instagram and you know how much we can believe Instagram. But somebody said that Rihanna wants to set her up with Michael B. Jordan, Which I'm like, okay, I love that idea. I love it too. I love it too.
Kelly Ripa
I love that Rihanna is so invested in the Bravo verse.
Jan Chile
She really is.
Kelly Ripa
She really is. We gotta get her watching and listening to our podcast and talk show.
Jan Chile
Yeah, we have someone on the A caller calling in about Summer House.
Kelly Ripa
I guess Carlin is from New Orleans. Hi, Carlin.
Michael Halperin
Hi, beautifuls. How are you? Hello, beautiful.
Kelly Ripa
Hi, gorgeous. I just can't believe I said New Orleans when it's New Orleans.
Michael Halperin
And that's so wrong. Thank you. Thank you.
Kelly Ripa
That was an accident.
Michael Halperin
Just let the lens flow just like it's Carlin from New Orleans. You like the way that.
Kelly Ripa
Okay, so tell me.
Michael Halperin
You have already. You all have already said it. Yes. And I'm not even a watcher. It's just simple breaking girl code. So you've already exploited that. But the winners in this. First of all, Rihanna did immediately unfollow Amanda. So that was big.
Jan Chile
But did she follow West? Because that's not cool.
Michael Halperin
Yeah, but she's in the music business. Douchebags forever. Anyway, she wants to see what the hell he's gonna do next. The women.
Kelly Ripa
Is West a musician of some kind?
Michael Halperin
No, I'm just saying the music. The music business is full of douchebags. I mean, she's surrounded by.
Kelly Ripa
Right, right, right. Got it, Got it. You're right.
Michael Halperin
So the winners will be. Sierra already is winning because who she's picked up, she did the crying of buying the family house, the legacy house, the grandfather's house. She's already got Jonathan Adler wanting to decorate. Who's going to bring Nate and Jeremiah? Kyle is going to be winning because you can't even buy the lover boy drink. Shit. Love a girl, lover boy. Whatever he's a lover of, he's about to get out of debt because Diageo will be buying that soon. Trust me.
Kelly Ripa
Oh, yeah. Smart. You're smart, Carlin.
Michael Halperin
Don't tell anybody because then they're going to overlook my looks.
Jan Chile
Yeah, there are winners in this.
Kelly Ripa
We need to get Carlin in the studio next Time. Because she needs to be in here.
Jan Chile
And again, I'm not. I'm all about not bringing girl code, but I'm not about all the hate on her and not on him.
Kelly Ripa
Yeah. They share equal responsibility. Yes.
Jan Chile
And that's. That shouldn't be. That shouldn't be.
Kelly Ripa
But this girl is very beautiful.
Jan Chile
They're all beautiful.
Kelly Ripa
Sierra.
Jan Chile
They're all beautiful.
Kelly Ripa
They're all beautiful. Can you show me Amanda? I haven't seen Amanda. I've only seen. Sorry. I'm sorry.
Lisa Mantineo
Amanda's very pretty, but Sierra, not only is she beautiful, she is also a nurse. So she's got the brains, the beauty. She's a full package.
Kelly Ripa
Wow. Okay. I'm trying. I'm just like. Got it. Okay. Got it. Got it. Got the mental picture. Hey, Carlin, thank you for calling in. That was very helpful.
Jan Chile
We have somebody else calling in on this.
Kelly Ripa
Okay. We have somebody else calling. Wow.
Jan Chile
Yeah. Deb from Denver. It wants to talk about this topic.
Kelly Ripa
Deb from Denver. Okay. Debt.
Jan Chile
I want to fill you in, Kelly.
Kelly Ripa
Deb from Denver, you're on.
Michael Halperin
Hi, Kelly.
Kelly Ripa
Hi.
Michael Halperin
So it's so nice to talk to you. I really calling in about the Mark situation. But I want to tell you two things that I don't know why not anyone is talking about with the whole Sierra in West. So because you're kind of in unknown territory, I want to share this with you.
Kelly Ripa
Okay. Yes.
Michael Halperin
And Sierra, three years ago on the show. Three. Three. You know.
Kelly Ripa
Huh. Three seasons ago together.
Michael Halperin
Yeah. And it did work out. And that's a long story short. But for last year and all of this year, all the man does is try to get back with her. He does everything in the world and she doesn't give him the time of day because she's kind of sort of still punishing him and you know, whatever. So then him and Amanda getting to everybody acts like west and Sierra were in a real thing. She hasn't let him back in for. Since three years ago. So I don't see why. And. And everybody knows Kyle and Amanda are not working. And if they fell in love and Kelly, you know you fell in love with Mark. I do believe on the set of the show. And it's like, you know what, when if there's chemistry and it happens, what. What are you going to do, lie about it? Everybody's too old for that. So that's that. And by the way, Sierra is gorgeous and she is a model along with the nurse. She models a lot too.
Kelly Ripa
I love that. But Jan, you look like you had a responsorial I did. I did.
Jan Chile
Because I know that she wasn't letting him back in, but very much about this season is like kind of her kind of letting him back in. Like, there's a lot of flirtation. I'm gonna guess it hasn't aired yet. I'm gonna guess maybe there's something that happens between now and the end of the season. I don't know, Lisa. Maybe you can tell us.
Kelly Ripa
Deb, what do you think, Deb? Do you think maybe something's going to happen?
Michael Halperin
Oh, I honestly don't because all he does is wait around and wait around, and she acts like she's going to it. Oh, you got animals. And for me, that you scored points. And then. And then she's talking to everybody else about, you know, she just really can't get past. I. Look, I'm a triple Scorpio. I get it. You know, Anyway, and I wanted.
Kelly Ripa
You know what, though? I have to say, Deb, Deb, as a triple Scorpio, you must know that, like, vengeance is such an amazing aphrodisiac. So every time she rejects him, it's got to feel good, don't you think?
Michael Halperin
Well, I think he really likes her, and he just has been vying and vying, and it's just she's not letting it up. And.
Jan Chile
Well, he likes her so much that he's with her friend now.
Kelly Ripa
Well, yeah.
Michael Halperin
Hello, Kyle. And he's been there for five.
Kelly Ripa
Yeah.
Michael Halperin
Can you hear me?
Kelly Ripa
Yeah, we can hear you. You just. You drifted out.
Jan Chile
I don't know.
Michael Halperin
Sorry. If. If she had. Is. If she does in the next. Well, I think the. Isn't the season over, you guys?
Jan Chile
No, I think there's a couple more episodes airing.
Kelly Ripa
Yeah. Thank you, Deb. Thanks for your input on this, Deb. We appreciate it. Yes. Oh, hello. We lost her.
Jan Chile
We lost her.
Kelly Ripa
Yeah, we lost her. That's a shame.
Jan Chile
Did you. And you did watch Rhode Island?
Kelly Ripa
I did. I watched Rhode island, and I believe that all people in the world stem from some part of New Jersey.
Jan Chile
Yeah. Real Housewives of Rhode island in New Jersey.
Kelly Ripa
I was like, this is like.
Jan Chile
Yeah, it was wild.
Kelly Ripa
Wild. I love it. I loved every second of it.
Jan Chile
And what did you think of the girl from the Bachelor?
Kelly Ripa
I didn't know her from the Bachelor, so I had no thoughts about her from that. Okay.
Jan Chile
Okay.
Kelly Ripa
So I didn't. As you know, I watched.
Jan Chile
She seems like the sane one of the group.
Kelly Ripa
I watched one episode of the first season of the Bachelor and I dipped. You know, I was like, this is not good. Yeah. You know how I feel about it.
Jan Chile
I know, I know.
Kelly Ripa
I love the Real Housewives as much as I cannot stand the Bachelor.
Jan Chile
Did you watch Atlanta? First episode.
Kelly Ripa
I haven't seen it yet. It's downloaded on my computer. Good, good, good. I know. I can't wait. I can't wait. Listen, I'm trying to get back on east coast time so I can't like let myself go down the Real Housewives rabbit hole at 11pm or I'll never get to sleep. Yeah, that. Which is what I am. My instinct tells me just watch the. Just put on Atlanta.
Jan Chile
I know, I know. I was up so late. I was up so late last night from that basketball.
Kelly Ripa
Right. Well, Mark was watching it in the bedroom. I had my noise canceling headphones on, but all I could see, you know, it's like it's the colors of the television flashing, you know what I mean? So like, even though my eyes were closed. I need eye shields is what I need. I need eye shields anyway. Well, thank God we covered. Now you're up, Summer house. Guess what? I'm just as confused as I was before. Deb gave me conflicting advice to what Jan said. You know what we need to do though is get Carlin from Nolan's here.
Jan Chile
Well, maybe Michael and Shakira have an opinion. Shakira, what is your thoughts? I feel like I know that it's more so about the girl code of it all, but also, and I think a caller was mentioned this and whatever, but I agree that after you get to a certain age, like just be an adult and if they have a. If they had a connection, then they had a connection and like, what is there to do? She was grieving. I think people grieve. That's a whole other element that people should add. And if you've never been through it, then it's easy for us as the viewers to get caught up in all the drama of it all. But I am sure that Amanda didn't intentionally get with west to like hurt Ciara in any way. And I think intent is really important.
Kelly Ripa
And that's my intent is always important. Very smart, Shakira. Also, I've never been so grateful to not be ensconced in anything in my life. Like I am with this because I have no opinion. Like, I believe everything Jan says and I believe everything she cares.
Jan Chile
I like your thoughts on it because you're not ensconced in it. Like, I like to hear what you think.
Kelly Ripa
The purity of. Yeah, like. Like, just so you know, Jan And Shakira, like, I would never date anyone affiliated with either one of you. You know what I mean? Like, I would just never. It's like, that's my girl code. Like, oh, you used to hook up with Jan, which is quite possible. Cause Jan hooked up with a lot of guys. Just saying.
Jan Chile
In the 90s.
Kelly Ripa

Albert Bianchini
Jan just took her headphones out.
Kelly Ripa
Another live episode went on a rant. Let's talk off camera. And Jan just told me.
Albert Bianchini
Jan rant. That was.
Kelly Ripa
But I will never, like, I will never be the same. I just had a mini heart attack. My God. And now I'm.
Jan Chile
Should I say it? Should you want to hear it again?
Kelly Ripa
I mean, I don't know.
Jan Chile
Let's talk about the 90s trends. Let's talk about the 90s trends.
Kelly Ripa
Here's the thing, guys. Here's the thing. As a 55 year old woman, and there's a lot of people in my age demographic doing the 90s trend. If you want to make a cute montage of yourself from the 90s, go for it. If you want to show all the cute pictures of how adorable you were in the 90s, do it, but stop saying mom. What were you like in the 90s? I know your kids aren't asking you that and so do you. We all know it. The jig is up. Yeah, I know it.
Jan Chile
And I feel like certain guys are doing it just to put like thirst trap photos of themselves 100%.
Kelly Ripa
Like these men. Dad, what were you like in the 90s? Nobody asked you what you were like in the 90s. Nobody. Nobody. They don't even know what the 90s are.
Albert Bianchini
No one's asking.
Jan Chile
I want to know what Albert was like in the 90s.
Albert Bianchini
Straight.
Kelly Ripa
That is true. He was straight in the 90s. He was, yeah. What turned you gay? Was it. Was it me? Was it meeting me?
Albert Bianchini
It was not you. You always ask if you turn me. I was already gay and in a relationship.
Kelly Ripa
I know, I know, but you were like, you were one foot in the game.
Albert Bianchini
I told Jan this story earlier, but this weekend we drove by this house in Brooklyn that I said to Kyle, I'm like, I posed for a prom photo in front of that house that I went to the prom with my friend Tara. And then we all piled in a limo and at midnight, everybody went to the beach at Breezy Point to hook up. And I called my mother from a payphone and she picked up me And Tara, like 12, 15.
Kelly Ripa
And was that the first sign you didn't want to make out with Tara?
Albert Bianchini
No, I just wasn't in Tara, Definitely. I wasn't into it.
Kelly Ripa
Who was the girl you were pre married to?
Albert Bianchini
Stacy.
Kelly Ripa
Stacy, right. And I met Stacy.
Albert Bianchini
You don't think. I don't think. You met Brie?
Kelly Ripa
I met Brie.
Albert Bianchini
Brie. Bri. Kelly signed one of her books for Brie and she wrote, dear Brie, you dodged a bullet. Love, Kelly. Then she said, PS, poor Kyle.
Kelly Ripa
I was. I never met a man who was pre engaged and pre married to so many women who is so fully gay.
Jan Chile
Wait, what does pre engaged mean?
Albert Bianchini
Meaning we were like, right at the moment of getting. No, no, we were right at the moment of getting engaged. Like, very close.
Kelly Ripa
But there was real estate involved. If you guys got pre engaged, you were going to get a house on the beach.
Albert Bianchini
It was the whole thing.
Kelly Ripa
In West Ham. In West Ham, Right. And I was like. I was like, albert, would you have stayed. Would you have stayed heterosexual if it was a house on the beach in.
Albert Bianchini
On further Lane? Fuck yes. Jenna. Meadow Lane. Calvin and Jason.
Kelly Ripa
Lily.
Albert Bianchini
I have 10 kids right now.
Kelly Ripa
Yep, yep. Albert's gayness is real estate based.
Albert Bianchini
Oh, 100% real estate. I go back right now for a house on the ocean in Hampton.
Kelly Ripa
Listen, he's married to the doyenne of the Hamptons real estate market.
Jan Chile
Yes.
Kelly Ripa
Can we say that? Kyle?
Albert Bianchini
Yeah, I like the Doyenn.
Kelly Ripa
I think Kyle would like that.
Albert Bianchini
He would love it.
Michael Halperin
Yeah.
Jan Chile
Meanwhile, this whole trend's going on. My kids have never asked me what I was like in the 90s. Like, it's not a thing.
Albert Bianchini
What were you like in the 90s?
Jan Chile
I mean, I was hooking up on the lawn during prom.
Kelly Ripa
Oh, really?
Jan Chile
Yeah, of course.
Kelly Ripa
The prom in 90s. Yeah.
Jan Chile
91 was my prom. I mean, early 90s, early 90s, but yeah, yeah, yeah.
Kelly Ripa
Like, I was dating mark in the 90s. I met Mark in 93.
Albert Bianchini
How many proms did you go to in your life?
Kelly Ripa
Would you say gay or straight?
Albert Bianchini
All of them.
Kelly Ripa
Like, mostly the. Like, be right before a guy came out of the closet, he took me to the prom. That was like the preemptive, really. That was.
Albert Bianchini
I see you at a lot of proms.
Kelly Ripa
Yeah, I went to a lot of proms. I was everybody's prom date because they weren't ready to, like, tell their parents the truth. So I was the prom date. And then I went to a couple of, like, straight proms where I was like, the straight date. And I was like, you'd be a great prom.
Jan Chile
You're a good prom date.
Kelly Ripa
Oh, my God. I am a good time, Charlie. I'm A party motor. Yeah, I'm fun. I'm a fun prom date. No doubt about it. But, yeah, I pre. I definitely preferred the gay proms to the straight proms. Like, I love. You know, because these guys, like, they take you to prom and then they look at you like, well. And I'm like, well, what? No. Yeah. Chicken cordon bleu. It's going to take a lot more than that to get my prom dress off. Nice try.
Jan Chile
All right, Kat, one more thing I want to get into, because we talked about it a little on the show, and I know you had some real thoughts about it.
Kelly Ripa
Yes.
Jan Chile
So I presented you guys with an article on the show about. So they're in the uk, Albert, just so you know.
Albert Bianchini
Yeah.
Jan Chile
There was a baby born. Okay. And this woman had happened to have sex with identical twins four days apart. Okay. And the courts ruled because they cannot. They can't tell who's the dad because the DNA. Because the DNA is the identity.
Kelly Ripa
Identical DNA.
Jan Chile
So we talked about that.
Kelly Ripa
Right?
Jan Chile
So, like, so we have all kinds
Kelly Ripa
of things about it. So many thoughts and questions. Like, I need. We need to get her on this podcast. Okay. Because I just feel like I. I also believe I haven't been sleeping at night because of this story. Mark.
Jan Chile
Mark was not a fan of this story over anything.
Albert Bianchini
Twins, though.
Jan Chile
Like, I know, but this is.
Kelly Ripa
Yes, I love twins. I love twins, but these are diabolical twins.
Michael Halperin
Yeah.
Jan Chile
Do we think it was a version of Parent Trap where they were like. Like she didn't know she was having sex with the same twins?
Kelly Ripa
That's what I would like to ask her here on Grudge Judy.
Albert Bianchini
We should have a segment on the podcast called Grudge Judy. We really should.
Kelly Ripa
I want to know who to be angry with. I don't know. And I know that you as a former Maury producer.
Jan Chile
I was a Maury.
Kelly Ripa
You could have gotten the story on this.
Jan Chile
I could have gotten the story, but at the end of the day, the DNA test will not prove who the father is. So I guess both of these men have to be the father at this point until they said maybe as an adult, they might be able to prove it.
Kelly Ripa
Yeah. I don't want to hear any bullshit out of these two guys about child support. Okay? I don't want to hear one word like, oh, I'm unemployed. All right, well, let Jeffrey, your brother, pick up the tab, because as we can all agree, it could be either one of you.
Jan Chile
I mean, and if it wasn't a Parent Trap thing, who's having sex with With.
Kelly Ripa
This is why I. I need to know who to be angry with. That's what I need to know. I have not decided where to place the blame yet. Jan, what. What is your instinct? Give me your gut. As a former Maury producer, what is your gut instinct?
Jan Chile
Tell you feel like she has sex with both brothers. Knowingly had sex with both brothers. And it's not because I'm, like, siding with, like, going against the woman. I just feel like, how could you not know?
Kelly Ripa
Well, because if they're identical twins.
Albert Bianchini
Yeah.
Jan Chile
Really?
Albert Bianchini
Yeah.
Kelly Ripa
If they're identical, are their penises the same? I don't know. All right, you know what? Forget her. We should have both identical twin brothers here. And, Albert, you will introduce Inspect.
Albert Bianchini
Let's get on Google and find.
Kelly Ripa
Get on Google.
Jan Chile
We need to find every single thing identical. Yes.
Kelly Ripa
Is it.
Albert Bianchini
Are the penises identical in identical twins?
Kelly Ripa
Google that. This is why Google was created. Thank you, Google.
Albert Bianchini
Let's see. Yes, identical twins can have very similar penises, but they're not literally identical.
Kelly Ripa
Oh, okay.
Albert Bianchini
What does that mean? However, there are differences because the development isn't controlled by genetics. Factors like conditions in the womb, blood flow, differences between each birth, nutrition, and hormones during puberty.
Jan Chile
So that's one thing that's not identical.
Kelly Ripa
Wow. We're gonna have to get the whole. We want them all here. Jan, this is your job. You have to book the twins.
Jan Chile
Although no names have been released, I'm gonna. I'm gonna come. I'm gonna get to.
Kelly Ripa
I know. If it's one person that can find the names of the woman and the twins, it's Detective Chalet.
Jan Chile
It's a while, Jen.
Albert Bianchini
Just book the penises. If you can't get the.
Kelly Ripa
Yeah, if you could just get a picture of the penises.
Albert Bianchini
Book the penises to come on the podcast.
Jan Chile

This lively, candid episode starts with Kelly and her regular crew (Jan, Albert, and Michael) reflecting on their recent break—including personal family moments and travel mishaps—before jumping into a group therapy-style hot take on the Bravo “Summer House” drama and 1990s nostalgia trends. The discussion is fast-paced, wise-cracking, occasionally unhinged, and peppered with listener call-ins who add even more spice to the “Scamanda” storyline. They also tackle viral news stories (like the identical twins paternity case), all in the uniquely frank and witty Ripa style.
[03:39–19:05]

"Taylor’s oldest time. Yeah. I mean, men get away with everything. It's so gross." – Kelly (32:00)
"If they fell in love...what are you going to do, lie about it?" – Deb (38:00)
"If you've never been through it, then it's easy for us as the viewers to get caught up in all the drama..." – Shakira (43:59)
[47:35–56:38]
"Stop saying mom. What were you like in the 90s? I know your kids aren't asking you that and so do you. We all know it. The jig is up." – Kelly (47:58)
"I went to a lot of proms. I was everybody's prom date because they weren't ready to, like, tell their parents the truth." – Kelly (51:48) "What turned you gay? Was it me?" – Kelly to Albert (49:02) "I have 10 kids right now. ... Albert's gayness is real estate based." – Albert & Kelly (50:44-50:50)
"We need to get her on this podcast. ... I haven't been sleeping at night because of this story." – Kelly (53:04)

On 90s Nostalgia:
"Stop saying mom. What were you like in the 90s? I know your kids aren't asking you that and so do you." – Kelly (47:58)
"I went to a lot of proms. I was everybody's prom date because they weren't ready to, like, tell their parents the truth." – Kelly (51:48)
On the Twins Paternity Case:
"Is it. Are the penises identical in identical twins? Google that. This is why Google was created." – Kelly (55:26) "Just book the penises. If you can't get the twins, book the penises." – Jan/Albert (56:13)
Unfiltered, funny, occasionally profane, deeply empathetic, and very "off-camera." The crew teases each other relentlessly while pivoting gracefully from emotional real talk (family, grief, generational love) to pop culture snark and group therapy for reality TV fans. Listener calls add chaos and perspective, while the team embraces being in—or purposely out of—the know.
This episode demonstrates what Kelly does best: letting the conversation roam organically across deep personal moments, pop culture obsession, and shared experience, all while keeping things irreverent and real. If you missed the episode, you’ll walk away feeling filled in on Bravo drama, 90s nostalgia, and with a few weird new Google rabbit holes to explore.
