Do you know what time it is? What are you doing with your time? Death has a way of humbling we humans. We feel almost invincible when we are younger, feeling like we will live forever, then tragedy strikes. In times of tragedy, we are reminded of our temporal nature. When Charlie Kirk was assassinated, many people were taken aback. Paul Fineman of ESPN was driven to re-valuate his entire life and is getting ready to make a drastic career move. What are you doing with your time? We all have a limited time, and we will be held accountable for what we do with our time. Today on Like It Matters Radio Mr. Black wants us to become aware of our personal eschatology. How is your personal Leadership? How are you leading your life, what impact are you making? When we live our lives like they matter, then we die, LIKE IT MATTERED! It is written; It is appointed for man to die one time and then comes the judgement. Tune into Like It Matters Radio so you can live your life to someday hear the words; “Well done my good and faithful servant!” The Time is Now! The age-old question is, “What is Leadership?” “Leadership is the echo of your values in the lives of those you serve. Leadership is the art of moving hearts and moving hands. Leadership is the courage to go first—and the wisdom to bring others with you.” Not only is WHAT IS leadership an important question, but what TYPE OF LEADERSHIP should I be implementing? Look at America’s last 2 Leaders and how different their styles are: Biden and Trump. Both moved the country for 4 years, and each had his own style and own outcomes. Today, on the HOUR OF POWER, Mr. Black will be joined by author Jordan Ames. These 2 Leaders will talk about Jordan’s new book, “Red Letter Leadership; Leadership Lessons from the Life of Christ.” Mr. Black will answer the questions on what leadership is, what are important leadership qualities and what type of Leadership should we us? You will also hear great interaction between 2 men that have led many into many battles. You will be moved to action by this powerful radio show. Today on Like It Matters Radio we are asking the question, “Who are my people?”. It was Dr. Martin Luther King who lived and died for the Dream; “I have a dream! That one day my 4 little children will live in a nation where they are not judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character. I have a dream today!” On April 4, 1968, as he stood on the second-floor balcony of the Lorraine Motel in Memphis, Tennessee, he was assassinated! Well less than 60 years from his death, we have assassinated his dream as well. Today we seem to be all wrapped up in color again. Racism is openly government sponsored today. All that matters is one’s skin color to determine how justice is meaded out, who gets free money, good schools and sympathy and empathy. All we did was switch colors. White used to be good, and Black was not good. Nowadays, Black is the color of a victim and white is the color of a persecutor. The only thing that has changed is the preferred color. For those who don’t ‘group’ identify, this show is for you. Who are your people? If you are not wrapped up in skin color and which bathroom someone uses, then how do you identify “your people”? Jesus addressed this in a home in Capernaum, when he said, “Who is my Mother, and who is my brother, but he or she who does the will of my Father, that is my mother and that is my brother. Today on this hour of power Mr. Black will be joined by Joel Hillary. Joel has a podcast called, “The Jesus Magnet”. Joel is a follower of the risen King, he is a New Zealander who lives and missions in Thailand- Joel is my people. Listeners will be moved as he shares the stories and the power of the people he interviews and share incredible stories. Inspiration, Education and Application- that is what is on the menu for our People, those who want to be more and use Like It Matters Radio as a source of growth and encouragement! Today, on Like It Matters Radio, Mr. Black wants listeners to consider three words: Sympathy, Empathy and Compassion. These three words are on a continuum of emotional involvement. These three words are progression, a building up to the point of doing something to ease the pain. Sympathy is recognizing someone’s suffering and feeling sorry for them. Empathy is ‘walking a mile’ in someone else’s shoes and feeling what they feel. Compassion is empathy with a desire to help or make things right. Where are you on the spectrum? In an America that wants us to focus on the differences, do you have pity, have understanding, or take action to ease others’ pain? Sympathy is the first step it opens the heart. Empathy builds bridges- it connects us to others’ pain. Compassion transforms- it moves from guilt and pity to growth and help. This is what Jesus said when He said, ‘When I was in prison you visited me, when I was hungry you gave me something to eat, and when I was thirsty you gave me drink.” On today’s hour of Power Mr. Black is going to stir up some compassion for those less fortunate than ourselves, with a primary focus on people behind bars! Charlie Kirk was assassinated on Wednesday, September 10, 2025, at approximately 12:23 p.m. Mountain Time, while speaking at Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah. He was in the middle of a live event for his “American Comeback Tour,” engaging in a public Q&A session under a tent labeled “Prove Me Wrong.” Just moments after responding to a student’s question, a single shot was fired from a rooftop roughly 200 yards away, striking him in the neck. Today on Like It Matters Radio Mr. Black wants us to be mindful that planes crash, and people die- it is a fact of life. None of us know the date of our last breath, unless we take our lives. So naturally, the way we live is the way we will die- and be remembered! As we live a self-examined life the question must be What are you LIVING FOR? And the secondary question is, what is it worth dying for? On today’s hour of Power Mr. Black will not only talk about Charlie but about life. Mr. Black will introduce; Mass Formation, The Tytler Cycle, Sleight of Narrative, Common Sense and 2 great books; Edward Gibbon’s The History of the Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire and Carl Wilson’s, Our Dance has turned to Death. This show is not just about Charlie Kirk, it is about you, me and America. Tune in and be inspired to speak your truth and to do so boldly and courageously! Today’s hour of power is about being “ALL IN”. All in is about being fully committed, and ON FIRE, with Passion! Commitment and Passion are the real, difference makers. Mr. Black will ask listeners to consider are the FULLY COMMITTED or whether they are just participating. We are encouraged to live an examined life, as we seek to find the purpose of our existence. God is looking for people who are fully committed! On today’s Like It Matters Radio Mr. Black will use the book by Walter A. Henrichsen titled, “Many Aspire, few attain”. It is about being ALL IN for the Kingdom and our Lord, Jesus. When you're fully committed, distractions lose their grip. Your energy isn't scattered across competing priorities—it's channeled like a laser. That kind of focus breeds excellence. “All in” people don’t quit when it gets hard. They adapt, learn, and push through. Commitment creates emotional stamina, which is often the real currency of success. Join Mr. Black as he takes listeners on a journey of introspection and hope as he challenges them to BE ALL IN! Did you know: The United States has a very high incarceration rate compared to many other countries, meaning a larger proportion of its population is held in prisons or jails? Did you know: As of early 2025, there were around 1.8 million people incarcerated in the US. Do you understand that millions more are in a mental prison and struggling to be ALIVE? Did you know that the recidivism rate (people who get out of prison and go back inside within 10-years) is over 50%. However, when we teach people how to think and connect them to a higher purpose those rates drop drastically. Today On Like It Matters Radio Mr. Black wants to go into the 3’s of Prison. Getting the Mind Right, the Heart repaired and the SPIRIT on purpose will reduce or eliminate recidivism. In the Bible three is a complete number, it means God is moving\doing. A triangle is a 3-sided structure. From an engineering perspective, the triangle is inherently the most stable and rigid of the simple geometric polygons, particularly when used in structural frameworks like trusses. It effectively distributes weight and forces along its three sides, preventing bending and deformation. On today’s hour of power Mr. Black will go into the 3’s of Prison and focus in on what we can do to win the battle in the HEART, BODY and SOUL! Mr. Black is back from his yearly mission trip to Sturgis, South Dakota. He is also fresh out of his prison ministry work and ready to INSPIRE and to ask probing questions. Why are so many people struggling to belong and fit in? Why is there so much distance, pain and relationships that are in tatters? Why do many people feel so unloved and underappreciated? Today on Like It Matters Radio Mr. Black poses the question, “What is Love?”. It is reminiscent of Pontius Pilate’s question to Jesus, ‘What is Truth?’ The questions are compounding on each other. What is the truth that leads to the love that allows people to function at the highest levels? On today’s hour of power Mr. Black will take his listeners through a couple of stories and the reality that people are the greatest commodity in our lives. When we invest in people and love on people, then we all do better. Why do people go into prisons and serve those less fortunate? Why do people go on mission trips and spend their time and money pouring into other people? Because people matter- we are all in the People business no matter what we do for a living!
