Hello friend. Welcome back to Listen to Sleep. Tonight's episode is from the Cabin Classics Collection, and it's helped many people find their way to deep rest. Whether this is your first time hearing it or you're an old friend revisiting, I'm glad you're here. You'll find a new episode every Sunday and a classic like this one during the week. Some of these classics are shorter stories I read twice, a little slower and quieter the second time. Some are meditations, guided practices that go deeper than the mindfulness I weave into the stories. That deeper work is what the Cabin is all about. It's an intimate space where we meet twice a month, just me and a small community deeply committed to supporting each other as we discover more peace and and purpose. Maybe you're in the middle of a big transition, the kind that changes everything and leaves you wondering who you are now. Maybe your old life doesn't fit anymore and you're not sure what comes next. Well, then, the Cabin is for you. It's where we learn to see through the stories we've been telling ourselves, the ones that keep us stuck, anxious, or disconnected from who we really are. You get access to all my mindfulness courses, personal support from me, and most importantly, a community of folks who truly show up for each other. If you're ready for more than Sleep stories, if you're ready to write a different story for your life, take the free path assessment@jointhecabin.org in two minutes, you'll see your personalized journey and know exactly where to start. The link's in the show Notes welcome.

To this Ocean Waves Sleep Meditation. In this guided meditation, we'll use the soothing sound of ocean waves to help you relax and fall into a deep, peaceful and restful sleep. Let's begin by finding a comfortable position in bed. Close your eyes and take a deep breath in through the nose and then exhale slowly out through the mouth, just letting go of any tension or worries with each breath. Take a few more deep breaths at your own pace. Now imagine yourself standing on the beach. The sand is warm beneath your feet and the salty ocean air is filling your lungs. With each breath you can feel the warmth of the sun on your skin and maybe hear the sound of seagulls off in the distance. And as you walk towards the water's edge, you can hear the sound of waves crashing against the shore with each step, you feel more relaxed and at ease. And now you've reached the water's edge and you can feel the cool ocean water lapping at your feet. As you look out towards the horizon, you see the vast expanse of ocean stretching out as far as the eye can see. The waves keep coming in and you can see and hear them approaching. They're gentle and then they grow a bit larger as they get closer, closer to you. You can feel the energy of the ocean as each wave washes up against the shore. The sound of the waves is so soothing and you begin to feel more and more relaxed with each passing moment. As you let the waves wash over you, you can feel them carrying away.

Any stress, tension, or worse.
Meditation Narrator
You are safe and at peace here, surrounded by the calming energy of the ocean. You can just allow yourself to completely let go and surrender to the sound and the sensation of the waves. Just allow yourself to stay here for a few more moments, enjoying the tranquility and peace that the ocean provides. Just letting go of any thoughts and simply being present in this moment. And when you're ready, take a deep breath in through the nose and then switch slowly out through the mouth.

Remember, you can always return to this peaceful and calming place whenever you need to feel a little more relaxed or a little more peaceful. Just allow yourself to fall into a deep and restful sleep, knowing that you are surrounded by the soothing sound sound of ocean waves. Sweet dreams and good night.
