Hey folks, Aaron here. Welcome back to another edition of Deeper Lore, a bonus episode designed to serve as a topical guide to the most recent episode of Lore. Why? Well, over the years I've learned that a lot of folks have special favorites that they like to revisit, but others enjoy listening to episodes on certain topics. It's common to hear a brand new episode and have it spark an interest in finding other stories that might be related, but with over 300 episodes to sort through, it can be hard to track down specific episodes. You know, running a podcast for a decade has a way of building a pretty massive catalog of options. So this bonus episode here is an attempt to offer a guide to folks who want to go a bit deeper into this week's lore. Thus, Deeper Lore. Creative name I know this week for episode 270 on display, we pay a visit to the Tower of London. For such a small area, in the grand scheme of things, there certainly are a lot of dark stories rooted there, but it's not the first time that we've explored folklore of castles. So here are three more older episodes that should resonate well with this week's new one. First up, episode 51 within the Walls. This old classic was our first tour through some of England's most haunted castles, and while it brushes up against the Tower of London for a small part, it adds a lot of additional context and stories that this week's episode didn't have room for. Give it a download and enjoy the journey. Next, episode 68, the Tainted well. For this oldie, we head to Ireland and spend all our time in one place, Lepp Castle. Don't let the singular location fool you though. There are few places as haunted or troubled as Lep Castle. And finally, I recommend you go listen to episode 117, Bones. For this episode, we went international and explored some of the most haunted castles in Japan. The fortresses themselves might look a bit different over there, but the darkness is going to feel right at home. Give it a listen today. So there you go. Follow up this week's brand new episode with a trip into the past. Episodes 51, 68 and 117 are waiting for you in this podcast feed. You can just scroll down in the app to find them, or you can tap on the direct links in the description for this episode. And until next time, stay spooky.
