Aaron
See T mobile.com hey folks, Aaron here. Welcome back to another edition of Deeper Lore, a bonus episode that's designed to serve as a topical guide to the most recent episode of the show. The My team and I have made well over 330 episodes of this podcast over the last decade. So I know how frustrating it can be when you hear a new episode and it sparks a memory of a similar one from a few years ago, but you can't track it down. So that's where Deeper Lore comes in. The goal here is to point you in the direction of some older related episodes so that you can keep this week's topic alive a little longer and go deeper into the lore. This week for episode 282 Auld, we visit one of my favorite cities in the world, Edinburgh. Although full confession, I have never been there myself. Its character, and its magic is so apparent from the stories and the photos that I will be visiting it next month for the first time. And honestly folks, I don't expect it to disappoint. But it's not the first time that we've discussed Edinburgh and its surrounding stories. So here are three older episodes that will pair up so nicely with this week's new one. First up, of course, it's episode 43, supply and demand. This one is a fan favorite classic. It was adapted for TV in the show's second season on Amazon, and it's all about the murderous duo Burke and Hare, two men who killed a lot of people and left behind a mysterious legacy. If you have never heard their story, you are in for a treat. So enjoy. Next download episode 49 scene double I love this episode. I think it was one of the first times that I bumped into a historical figure who was so comic book esque. This guy had guts and swagger and even his own costume, and he left a mark on Edinburgh in a way that few others have. And finally, there's episode 159 close by. Part of the attraction of Edinburgh as a city is that it has layers. Not layers as in dragons and ogres, but subterranean levels from an older era that have stuck around and contained within their shadowy chambers are so many good stories. If you loved this week's episode, this one is the perfect complement to it. And there you go folks. Follow up this week's brand new episode with a trip into the past. Episodes 43, 49 and 159 are waiting for you in this podcast feed. You can just scroll through your app to find them, or you can tap on their direct links in the description for this episode. And until next time, stay spooky.
