What is your understanding of “Intuition? Do you feel yours is fine tuned?

Well, it turns out what we ‘think’ is our intuition is often instead our:

Instinct - which comes from fear and keeping us ‘safe’
Bias influenced by multiple layers of external conditioning
Suspicion - seeking the pleasure or assuredness of confirmed bias until we find it
Thought - Rationalisation based on what we rationally know rather than what we intuitively know.

Lately in my own self awareness I’ve been exploring all of these subtly different things that we can confuse with intuition and I found myself asking: Is the cost of ignoring it as great as the power of using it?

Enter another new favourite human: Hrund Gunnsteinsdóttir. Hrund is an Icelandic thought leader, author, filmmaker, entrepreneur, and TED/keynote speaker. She is remodelling our understanding of intuition, through the Icelandic concept of InnSæi. She helps individuals and organisations rethink and reshape their relationship with change, uncertainty, and intuition, bringing together some of the world’s foremost research and practices on the fundamental role intuition plays for our intelligence and in our lives. She is the author of InnSæi the book. Co-director and script writer of the documentary InnSæi: The Power of Intuition, shown on Netflix worldwide.
