I'm Benjamin Shapiro and joining me today is Nicholas Holland, the head of AI at HubSpot. And today Nicholas is going to explain how the shift from agentic AI is fundamentally changing marketing automation and what it means for your team's future. All right, last question for you. Who are you paying attention to that's a leader in the AI space?
Nicholas Holland
Again, if you're using any of these platforms, the algorithms are really my favorite because they'll give you a lot of content. If you show that curiosity, the algorithms will step in and do the rest and give you just an enormous amount of content there. But someone I like who really gets the fidelity right, meaning that it's consumable, technical, impactful but not overly technical, not boring is Matthew Berman. I met him a decade ago whenever I was doing a startup out in the valley. He was at 500 Startups. I was out there. I think he was one of the mentors or worked there. But since then he has really established like an awesome voice online with Ford Future, his podcast, his newsletter and he is someone that I kind of listen to pretty much every day. Every other day, as soon as he puts content out there, I look at it. So I would say if you're like a business person, a marketer, someone who's really into AI, but also looking for somebody who can, you can connect with. He's pretty good.
Benjamin Shapiro
I'm going to throw a shout out to HubSpot. Non paid promotion Marketing against the grain is great and Kip and Kieran do a wonderful job giving consumable, more like task oriented tips on how to Start using artificial intelligence. And Nicholas, your consumption of AI stuff. I'm sure Matthew Berman is great. I'll have to look him up. And Matthew, if you're listening, come on the Martech podcast. But that's the advanced thinkers. When you're thinking about how to get started and how to sort of bridge the gap between the old way of working and the new philosophy. I love marketing against the grain.
Nicholas Holland
I'm kind of spoiled because they work at HubSpot, so I see that stuff. We pass around a lot of their stuff internally. But yeah, I agree with you. They're really good.
Benjamin Shapiro
You walk down the hall and you can wave to them and just ask them.
Nicholas Holland
I literally was just talking to Kip yesterday, so I agree.
Benjamin Shapiro
All right, well, Nicholas, I appreciate you coming on the podcast. Thank you so much for being our guest and telling us a little bit about the way that the world is changing and about the agentic revolution.
Nicholas Holland

The episode delves into the evolving landscape of artificial intelligence (AI) in marketing, highlighting influential thought leaders and the transformative impact of agentic AI on marketing automation.
Nicholas Holland emphasizes the importance of staying connected with leading voices in the AI domain to harness the technology effectively in marketing strategies.
