A
If I'm not there to refrain your hands from triggering out when you twitch.
B
Yeah, I've had some stories. I've actually punched a flight attendant. Like, whenever I sleep, like, I'll twitch and, like, my arms will, like, flail. If you're watching on YouTube a Twitch,
A
guys, let's explain what the twitch is to Adam. The twitch is like a punch. It's like, it's spontaneous.
B
Sometimes I've actually put my arms in your seatbelt, into my seat belt, and, like, try to, like, I'm putting myself in a straight jacket.
A
House hunting, still just trying to find a place where it fits. And it hits the markers on, like, what we're looking for.
B
Because, like, you go to, like, an open house, and there. And you're walking around the house, you're looking at stuff, and then other people are there, and so you kind of, like, get competitive. You're like, no, these people aren't going to get.
A
Yeah, exactly. This is more than reality podcast, where we dive into all things faith, family, and marriage and share that there is so much more than the reality that you see on the surface. Welcome to More Than Reality with Adam and Danielle Busby. Hello. Hello.
B
Hey, guys. It is episode 7, 79, more than reality Podcast. And thank you guys for tuning in. Yeah. Last week, huh?
A
You said 79.
B
I did, actually. Last week I said 77, but it was actually 78. But whatever, whatever. I got it wrong.
A
It's the next one, and then it's another one.
B
So last week, we had talked about we were going to get to, like, what we did for Easter. We went off to a place that was, like, the first for us, a first for our family. Blake's been there one time, and, yeah, so we're gonna kind of give all the details about, like, where we went, what we thought about it, but also, like, this week, and I have, like, a horrible tension headache from trying to sleep on airplanes. It's been, like, a crazy couple days for me. Sunday night I had to fly out to North Carolina for some partnership stuff for good ranchers. And I can't. I can't even really talk about what. What all we're doing because I can't spoil the surprise. But it has something to do with Mr. Beast. And you want to tune in next week on Saturday. Actually, this week, this coming Saturday at like, noon, a new Mr. Beast video is going to come out. And you. You want to check it out. So that's all I can say.
A
I'm surprised you even said all that.
B
Yeah, that's. That's all I can say. It's been crazy, but. So I had to fly out there and do some stuff on set. And it was. It was just pretty cool. But flight delays. Oh, my goodness. I got to the airport, we were flying out. Ben was in Augusta at the Masters. Thanks, Ben, for the hat. He brought me back a couple hats from the Masters. So I got one on today.
A
I didn't know he was there. That's cool.
B
I was super excited to. I was like, look, I know it's crazy. The only. The only place you can actually buy any Masters merch is there on site. And it's crazy because, like, not a lot of people can go because it's like a lottery system to actually get to actually go to the Masters. So he was going. And so I told him, hey, at least get me like a hat or something, because you can't get it anywhere else. So Ben was flying from Atlanta to meet us in North Carolina. Me and Jermaine were flying from Houston, North Carolina. Our flight got delayed. He missed his first flight because it was. The airports in Atlanta were crazy. All the people leaving the Masters to get out. And so we got into. We finally made it to North Carolina in our hotel at like 2:30 in the morning and had to turn around and wake up at 5 to drive to Greenville, North Carolina, to do everything that we needed it to for this upcoming video. And it was just a rough day. Two hours of sleep. Didn't really sleep on the airplane. I don't actually. I have no clue. I have no clue how much I slept on the airplane because it felt like I just blinked.
A
Like, sitting up.
B
Yeah, but I. I love sitting. I love sitting in the aisle in an airplane.
A
And
B
I was sitting on the aisle. But if I. But if I.
A
If I'm not there. To refrain your hands from triggering out when you twitch.
B
Yeah, I've had some stories I've had. I've actually. I've actually punched a flight attendant in the crotch. Before, well,
A
it was her butt, and it wasn't a punch.
B
And I've had friends that have sat beside us, and I've hit them before. Like, whenever I sleep, like, I'll twitch and, like, my arms will, like, flail. If you're watching on YouTube, a Twitch.
A
Guys, let's explain what the twitch is to Adam. The twitch is like a punch. It's like a spontaneous.
B
And so there's one. One time stewardess, flight attendant was, like, walking down the aisle, and, like, I jumped and just, like, smacked her. And she looked at me. I was like, sorry. She kind of just laughed because she realized I was sleeping. But.
A
Yeah, but he has. You have long arms, and I was in the middle, and you were on the aisle. Then it was the aisle, and then our friends were in the next row, and Adam, like, jerked, and his arm, like, hit her in the aisle. I mean, I was cracking up laughing. I'm like, oh, my gosh.
B
So if I want to sleep, like, if I'm getting onto an airplane with the intention, like, okay, I want to
A
strap your arms in.
B
I want to take a nap. Yeah. Sometimes I've actually put my arms in your seatbelt. Into my seat belt. And, like, try to, like, I'm putting myself in a straight jacket.
A
It's funny.
B
But if I want to sleep on an airplane, I think the best place to sleep is up against the, like, the window seat, because you can, like, lean on the wall and. But I was sleeping on the aisle, so, like, you know, it's just not comfortable, especially if there's somebody in the middle seat. And so you're trying to, like, give them. At that time on the way. There is a full flight. On the way back, it was like, I had. I still had somebody. I had an open seat in the middle seat. There was a guy on the window. I was in the aisle, and then Jermaine was on the aisle next to me. But our Ben was actually. Jermaine was behind me. But, yeah, and I just. We had. We had. Southwest Airlines is upgrading all their planes, putting new planes. We probably had the newest airplane I've ever been in.
A
What was that?
B
Like, it was super nice. Like.
A
Like, was there anything different?
B
Yeah, it felt bigger. I mean, whenever we kind of annoyed
A
at all the changes that they've made.
B
Whenever we book for good ranchers, we always, like, whenever we're flying. You know, obviously Southwest doesn't have, like, business class or first class or anything like that, but their new planes have, like, the extended leg room and, like, the first six rows and so we'll book those so you have, like, at least a little bit of room. But the. The new seats are, like, a lot thinner, which gives more room. And they have, like, these new clips that you can put your cell phone in. They've got chargers in the back of the headrest. They. The storage compartment above the seats have more space. I don't know, it was just. It was really nice. But now I was coming home, but I felt like I just couldn't sleep either way. I even bought, like, a pillow at the airport.
A
Of course you bought another pillow.
B
Ninja man, we're laughing about that because. Because he does the same thing.
A
Travel with the travel pillow. You always just buy one at the
B
airport because, like, I'll bring it home and then I'll stow it away somewhere in a box or something. And then whenever I'm flying out again, like, I can't find it. And so then I'll go to the airport and I'll buy another pillow. I probably have six of them in the house somewhere.
A
Such a good business pillow.
B
I know, because they're not cheap, especially at an airport. Probably get them on Amazon for 20 bucks or less, but at the airport, it's like 60.
A
Yeah, they got you. Yeah. So just some traveling last couple days. I mean, the girls hanging out, just being little gymnasts, they got, you know, birthdays were this past week. So it kind of goes in like we went to. So we went to Cinnamon Shores, which we. Sure, yeah. Cinnamon Shore last. I'm from Louisiana. Everything's plural.
B
Kroger's, the Walmarts, Walmarts.
A
You guys know I've been on this autoimmune journey, trying to find root causes, figuring out what's actually going on inside my body. One thing that keeps showing up and everything. Inflammation. It's been a huge piece of the puzzle. And honestly, it's what led me to function health.
B
And there's one thing most people don't know.
A

Function runs 160 plus lab tests every year. So you can actually see what's happening. Your inflammation markers, your metabolic health, all of it. No more guessing.
B
If something's trending in the wrong direction, you want to know before it's a real problem.
A
Exactly. I use this. And honestly, you should, too. Check your health the way I do 160 plus lab tests a year for $365. A
We first heard about Cinnamon Shore, I think, last year, and we tried to go a couple times, just never really worked out. But we made it happen this year to go. I want it to go for like, some type of, like, holiday thing where I know it was going to be like, extra things happening. So we worked with them. We went down there, we got a beautiful house. We had the spells come with us. We had. Blake had a friend come with us. It was her birthday. Fell on Easter Sunday this year on the 5th. And then the quint's birthday was Wednesday. So it was just like a big, like, leading up to it, all the, you know, packing everything. So it's was a lot because we ended up taking two cars because we had so much stuff. Because not only were we packing to go somewhere for like five days as a family of eight, we were also packing to go to the beach, which meant the girls wanted sand toys, they wanted the boogie boards. You know, it's like we needed shovels. Yeah. We needed the beach stuff. And then on top of that, it was Easter.
B
But also like food type stuff because you're staying in like an Airbnb.
A
Yeah. So. And then we needed all the food, so there was just like, no way. I was like, why we have to drive two cars? I'm like, literally, we pack a car down just when we go to Louisiana for a weekend. Like, so. And I thought. And I was like, thinking. I was like, usually if we go to like, West Texas or like the Free. A lot of times we have both driven.
B
Yeah.
A
So anyways, we drove. We drove both, which wasn't bad because, like, it was three and a half hours. Like, it was not a bad drive at all, like, coming from Houston and just, you know, we have Galveston, which is 25 minutes away, 25 miles away or whatever. And it's not. It's. It's the beach that we have here. And you can go to Bolivar or the other side of the ferry and whatnot. And it's what we're used to if we want to go down to the beach. But going down to Cinnamon Shore, which is in Port Aransas, which, you know, a little bit south, going towards, like, South Padre, the water's just a little bit better, the sand's a little bit better whatnot or a little bit more. I mean, that the sand was a little bit give and take, but the water was definitely nicer. Yeah, it was definitely clearer.
B
And I mean, it's not like.
A
It's not.
B
It's not blue water.
A
It's not blue water, but it's clear, brown water. So we had literally, like, the best time. You know, Blake was turning 15, so it was like this mix of, like, also having to have birthday stuff. And, you know, I wanted her to, like, open her presents that day, and she didn't want to have a party this year or anything. And so I was like, okay, we'll just do, like, a little thing down there. And it turned out really cute. We had, like, a bonfire, and then we did, like. I mean, I could go on, like, we did so many things, but I highly recommend anyone who's, like, in this parameter of Texas, like, you know, Houston parameter, which. Houston parameter means, like, anywhere on the outskirts of an hour outside of the inner Houston, like, you gotta check it out, because it is so family friendly. There's multiple pools, there's restaurants. There's, like, a little boutiques. There's the coffee shop, ice cream. There's a little grocery market on site.
B
It's like an entire resort community. They're like, everybody. Like, they sell beach houses there, so all the houses look similar, and then you can kind of customize them or whatever. And. And then you can.
A
And there. Some of them are privately owned, and some of them are, like, just Airbnbs.
B
But then as far as what I understand, it's like the community, like, the. The real estate entity is Cinnamon Shore, and then they kind of help facilitate managing, like, all the air, all the rentals.
A
So everything there, it's great. Like, you know, got the house. We got the groceries, like, set up and delivered in in there before we got there, which was a huge help. And then got the golf carts. We had two golf carts. Like, we never got in the car, except one time when we went to go get the cake that they helped me get. Blake was like, I want a nothing but cake. And I'm like, there's no nothing but cake. And I was not gonna get it on Thursday, 30 minutes away. I was like, that's gross. It's not gonna be fresh. So one of the ladies was like, I'll help you get it. We'll get it. Well, like, you can come pick it up at the office. I was like, so amazing. So we ended up getting that worked out. That was the only time I took the car like to the front because it was raining that day. But it just was just such a quick place to like go. Like just feel like you escaped to like vacation.
B
But I mean they call it like an all day trip, quote unquote. Like the 30A of Texas.
A
Yeah.
B
By no means is it 30.
A
I said that on my social media and I got a lot of flack.
B
I'm like, listen, that's no 38.
A
It's not Florida to us.
B
The style of like the beach, go to 38.
A
That's 12 hours or so.
B
Probably more than that for a three hour drive. It's 38 hours.
A
38. It's the Texas 38, you know, so we just enjoyed it so much. They had like things going on like every day, you know, I mean it was Easter, so like we had Easter egg hunt, which was like legit Easter egg hunt. I was super surprised on the lawn, the amount of eggs that they put out there. And they were filled. And like all the family and the kids, they had like different age range. You know, if you were like five and under, you went early and then 30 minutes later they had it like for all the older kids. And so it just, it was that then we had. They had like the pups and Prosecco, which I laughed about when I felt so like in my like Charleston Southern Southern beach era with my hat and my dogs and my Prosecco and we're like socializing our dogs. I just felt so, like, so fun. It was just fun.
B
It was fun. I mean, there was a bunch of dogs running around there.
A
Oh my God, so many cute dogs.
B
Big English bulldog bunny ears.
A
So cute. It was a boy and a girl one. But I mean everything was just amazing. Like the, the homes, there's their selves. So we were in which actually gonna share on social media where we stayed because it's. It was a newer home, but it slept like 15, 16 people. 16 people. There was like seven bathrooms. Like it had a fully stocked kitchen. You didn't have to bring towels, you didn't have to bring sheets, you didn't have to do any of that stuff. There was a washer and dryer there, upstairs, elevator downstairs, which we had to tell the kids it's only for taking luggage upstairs and downstairs. Yeah.
B
Like the elevator is not a toy.
A
Yeah.
B
There you cannot play with it.
A
Were so surprised there was elevator in there. But I mean just where we were, like we were right next to the. One of the pools in the park and it just was, it was such a great. Yeah. In the gym. I was like, adam, look, I got this one for you because it's right by the gym. But it just was such a wonderful, like, weekend away, like, extended weekend away. Celebrating, Blake. Celebrating, you know, Jesus. Lost my train of thought. This thing keeps pulling out of my ear because it's backwards. Sorry. So we celebrated Blake's birthday, and we celebrated, you know, Jesus is alive. And we just ate lots of good food. We had their. Their. What was the pizza place called? Dylan's. Dude, that pizza was.
B
I'm not sure.
A
That pizza was awesome.
B
Yeah, it was really good, that pizza.
A
And it was, like, out on the lawn, and there was a movie going. We got the pizza the first night we got there. They had snow cones, ice cream.
B
Yeah, they had, like, a movie out on the lawn. So we went and we ordered ahead and got the pizza and brought it over to where, like, they were having a movie. And then they have, like, this airstream trailer that has, like, snow cones and ice cream and different kind of ice cream popsicles and stuff like that. And every day, I was. I was super surprised because we told the kids after they ate, they can go get, like, a snow cone or ice cream. And, you know, here you go to an ice cream place and, you know, it's five, six bucks per kid or more.
A
I don't know if the lady hung it up, right.
B
No, she did. And. But it was, you know, all of our kids. So Blake brought a friend. So on our side, it was seven kids. And then the spell family, they have their four kids, plus Ben got ice cream as well. And so whenever I went up there to pay for all the ice cream, and it was like 40 something dollars for.
A
That's what I was like. I don't think that that was.
B
I was like, this is so cheap. I almost told the lady, like, man, you can be charging more. You got a. Well, it's funny audience.
A
I remember this summer when we moved into this house, the little rental house that we're in right now, There was like the. Every Wednesday for the summer, they either had ice cream and then, like, they rotated ice cream truck and snow cone truck. And like, when we came to, like, literally, like, bring stuff to the house, the ice cream truck was out there. And so I was like, okay, girls. Yeah, let's all get something. And it was like 120 or something. And the ladies and. But they were. I was like, four of them could have shared one because it was like, a huge cup. And she's like, I'm sorry. I think I rung Something up. It's too much. It's too expensive. And I was like, how much? She said. And she was like $118. Right. And I was like, that's about right. Cuz it's, you know, six kids and so gladly take the discount. Yeah. Nothing in our world is under a hundred dollars, like pretty much anywhere. But I have, I have gotten to a groove where I can go to like certain places. Like if I go to like Chick Fil A or like somewheres where I can. Or Canes, which is like, Ava could literally eat that every day. It's so annoying. I'm like, if you say that word one more time, I'm going to like anyway. But I got to a point, like when we go some places, which I know how I can order to like save and not pay like extra for all the things. So you know the budgeter in me. Yeah. Adam's like, kids meal for her kids meal for her kids.
B
Even me at Canes, like two kayaks and a three finger combo. We're good. Figured it out.
A
One thing I did love too at Cinnamon Shore was for the Easter, they had a brunch that you could like. Well, originally there was like all these things planned out on the lawn for the brunch, but it like was pouring down rain Easter Sunday and. But I still had reserved like a brunch for us. And it was this awesome quiche with bacon and sausage and like the cinnamon French toast, which we had to make French toast that morning because it was Blake's birthday. And that's like our tradition because we all love French toast and strawberries. So there was just like so many like little things that they do there that just made it like extra fun and easy. Easy on you. And if we like, we ran out of milk. Oh, we'll just go to the front and there's a little, you know, little market up there at the front, like office kind of area and stuff. But everything was just. The food was good, the people were good, the service there was just so helpful. And I don't know, I am so excited to go plan another trip and come and go back because it's close.
B
Yeah. Like you, like, we've. We've been there, we figured it out. We've, you know, you get an idea, like what you need to bring what's there. Because, you know, going to a new place, you're just getting your like lay of the land.
A
Yeah.
B
And just trying to figure the place out. Like, what's here? What's. Where do we go? For this and you know. But now we know everything and so it's going to make it much easier for next time.
A
Yeah, and you got like we got the golf cart. So we reserved all that beforehand. And so they were there at the house when we got there.
B
Yeah, the whole community has like, the community itself rents out golf carts like for a daily raid or whatever. And then. So everybody's golf cart there, unless you bring it.
A
Unless you own it. And you own.
B
Yeah, but everybody's golf cart matches. And so it makes it really easy because they just give you like a code and you just enter in your code and it unlocks the golf cart. And so you can just like park it wherever. And everybody has a unique code. And then there's a bridge that gets from the little community over the levee or sand dune and then down to the beach and you can drive your golf cart. Right.
A
And then they have that. You can rent beach chairs and umbrellas so they can set that up for you every day. But it just, it was a great time. So I highly recommend everyone check out Cinnamon Shore over down in the Port Arians. This area for sure. I mean, next time I want to bring plethora of more people. Does that make sense?
B
Yeah.
A
Okay. But yeah, I mean, Easter is, is getting, you know, the tradition, if you've watched outdaughtered, has always been Easter Bunny scares the Busby girls. But you know, they are so over that. And all the things now they're just like, what's gonna. What you gonna put in the basket? Are you the Easter bunny? So it's, it's weird as your kids get older and like when you get to those holidays, it's like, do I really need to do it or do I not? But then it's kind of like, I don't want to not.
B
Yeah, you just want to do it for the tradition.
A
But what was annoying was I had to go buy Easter baskets. Cuz I don't know where any of our stuff is. It's not like we have any of that stuff here. It's like in storage somewhere. So.
B
Threw it away, honestly.
A
What, the Easter baskets?
B
Yeah, there was a lot of stuff that we just.
A
Yeah, we did.
B
We did either donated or.
A
But it's also too hard to get like in the holiday, like in the spirit in a house like this. Because I'm like, I don't have everything here. And so I'm like, oh, what's the point? I'm. It's not here. I don't want to go get it. Besides, Christmas. That was different.
B
Yeah.
A
But I didn't decorate for, like, fall or, like, Thanksgiving. It was like, I'm only doing Christmas.
B
A lot of stuff is just in our storage unit. Like, I don't. I didn't even want to bring it here and put it up in the attic in this house just because, like.
A
No, that would be just.
B
I didn't want to bother with, like, going up and down the attic and then worrying about having to clear the attic back out here. And so.
A
So we're on. We're just update on that. We are on, you know, like, house hunting still. Just trying to find a place where it fits and it hits the markers on, like, what we're looking for. And we actually came across a house right before Adam left this past, like, on Saturday I called him. I was like, hey, come look at this house.
B
And it was a great house. The house itself was great.
A
Great conditioned and. And it had the pool and everything, but it still.
B
Patio was like, super cool.
A
There was so many great things about it, but we would have still been compromising. Compromising on like, the bathroom situation and the driveway.
B
Yeah. And the size of the backyard. Yeah, like, pretty much that house. The entire backyard was pool.
A
The main thing that I have to remind myself, even when we get excited about, like, seeing a place, we're like, oh, my God, let's put it off or whatever is future, we always have to come back. It's like they never say, like, make a decision right on the moment. Right. And so it's like, give yourself that 12, 24 hours. Goes along with a lot of things,
B
especially because, like, you go to, like, an open house and there. And you're walking around the house, you're looking at stuff, and then other people are there. And so you kind of like, get competitive. You're like, no, these people aren't going to get.
A
Yeah, exactly. But he came back, and I was just like, you know, there are extra half bathrooms in this house, which works out, but we're still missing that other bathroom. That is the. Is the priority. I mean, when it comes to the bathrooms, that's the main priority of the next house.
B
And then one of the house and one of the bathrooms upstairs didn't even have a tub. It was just a shower.
A
Yeah. Yeah. Yep. So, you know, it's just. It's. They might sound weird. And actually I was talking to junior realtor because we went. I was like, let's compare this to what else is out there. And like, let's go look at something else. And so I Go look another house. I'm like, so this house has five and a half bathrooms. And so we start looking at that. And I'm talking. And I was like, it's just so hard to find anything with four or more bathrooms. She's like, danielle, not a lot of people need four or more bathrooms. And I started laughing. I'm like, okay, yeah, you're right. But this house, it's not what, you know, it's. It's a potential. It hits a lot of markers, but the bedrooms are smaller, and I can already hear the teenagers in the house complaining like, this. My room's so small, you know, but there's a lot of other things that it offers. But we haven't found a perfect place, which I don't even know if we really are. But still trying to negotiate and figure out, like, what's best and whatnot. That one is like a new kind of build, and it's not where we want to be ideally, but we are only in this house for so long, and we have to literally come to a decision. Or you going to extend this, Go
B
month to month for a few months
A
or, like, going to just go with something.
B
Yeah.
A
For the next.
B
We're starting to get to that deadline where we're gonna. Very soon we're gonna have to, like, tell the landlord, like, hey, we want to stay for three more months or we need to go month to month or whatever. So we're starting to get to that point of we either need to find something or communicate to them what we're gonna do.
A
Yeah. So it's a bit. It's a bit stressful, and I don't want to, like, like, get into anything that we're not happy with. But also kind of like having, like, the realization of, like, we might have to. We might not find the forever home. Like, we kind of expect or want to. And plus, everything is. Is top dollar right now, like, what we're looking at. So we remember that house we went and looked at and it was like two acre. And I was like, oh, my gosh.
B
From the photos, the house, like, Adam
A
was so impressed by the photos.
B
Yeah, the photos. I was like, okay, this is promising. It was an older house. It was kind of like a ranch style house, but it was on two acres and it had, like, a little bit of character. More than likely, like, a lot of those types of houses have been, like, remodeled. And so, like, inside they're really open, and they're just different than a typical ranch style house would look. And so I'm like, oh, it looks promising. And there's, like, a horse stable in the back, and they actually had horses and, you know, really big backyard. I'm like, oh, this looks cool. And a pool. And then you get there, and I'm like, man, bravo to the guy that took these photos.
A
Yeah, it was not. It was not good. It was not good.
B
So, yeah, and they were asking, like, way, like, whenever I left, way overpriced
A
after looking at that house.
B
There's no way this person's ever gonna get this amount of money for this house anyway.
A
So it's very hard to find another home. So if. If you know anybody in the area who wants to sell us a home, shoot us up, holler at us, you know, don't shoot us up. That doesn't sound right. You can.
B
No, don't do that.
A
You can take that out.
B
Shoot back.
A
But, yeah, so just really, what's hard as a. Me, as the planner, as, like, wants to know what's next and what's coming and what. What this is going to look like and what homeschooling is going to look like, where we're going to be and all, like, all. You know, it's coming up sooner. You know, there's only like, four and a half, five weeks left of school, and so it's just. I feel pressured a bit, but I also feel peace knowing that, like, this is where Lord wants us to be in this town. And so I just try to, you know, take on my own wings and say, like, okay, I'm going to keep looking. Keep looking, and then get reminded that, like, no, I'm not. I. I can't control the situation and just, you know, just keep praying about, like, lord, just let us. Let us be content. Let us, you know, find where you want us to be and let it be in the timeline that we need secretly. But, yeah, so just we had a fun vacation, and it came back to reality. Adam was traveling. I'm, like, on the. The back to the mom load schedule and the house stu. And then it's tax season, and. Oh, it's just. It is a stressful time of year, this time of year. And so those are always, like. They always, like, just are downers. Like, when it gets to this, like, April. By the way, it's almost your sister's birthday. Or is that today? I don't know.
B
Tomorrow.
A
Tomorrow. So, yeah, that's what I've been feeling, just a little bit off and stressed. But Manny came in town to see her grandbaby was born, and I got to have brunch with her and Priscilla. And so that was like kind of like highlight of the week so far.
B
Just getting to my highlight of the week is so I've been taking a deep dive and trying to transition into utilizing because obviously we all know that like, AI is like the way of the future and if you don't, if you don't get on the bandwagon, it's going to like, leave you behind. And so everybody's been talking about, like, chat GPT versus Claude versus blah, blah, blah. And so I went and created a Claude account and it's like I started doing all kind of stuff and running automations and like creating agents for all this stuff. And I've got Claude now, like working for me and it's kind of nice. I'm still like scratching the surface and like learning everything that it can do. But, like, I mean, I created like a whole workflow even for the podcast, of like, it pulling data and like, you know, whenever I'm editing the podcast and like coming up with all kind of stuff, like, literally pretty much all I have to do now is like, edit the podcast and it like, almost like does everything else for me.
A
Yeah.
B
So he, Adam was like, I'm super excited about, like, I've been like, filling
A
my ear up with all this Claude stuff.
B
I'm like, total nerd.
A
And, and I'm like, that's cool, that's cool. But also like, it's, to me, it's, it's still scary, like the fact of, like, how many things are getting taken over by, you know, like, less manpower versus AI power. And it's just, it's like, it's good if you can utilize it in certain ways, but it also, it's scary in a way. Like, you were starting to tell me certain things, just AI in general, and I'm just like, that is crazy and scary.
B
But, but so it's where things are heading and if you don't adapt, you're going to be left in the dust.
A
Yeah.
B
And so like, you might as well like, figure it out and learn it because every, everybody else is going to be using it. Like most big companies that are growing, they're using it and if they tell you they're not, they're probably lying to you. And so, you know, so I'm doing my part and trying to learn and.
A
Yeah.
B
And teach.
A
Which to me, what he's doing is for us as a family, just taking less time away. Taking away time from the computer and
B
work and stuff, make my time more efficient. So that I can. I'm freed up. It's probably going to take a few weeks until, like, I figure it out, but, like, the stuff that I've figured out so far, it's, like, super promising, and I'm, like, excited about it. And then I also have a new love that. Oh, from.
A
So it's not Claude.
B
Our last trip, the last, like, big photo shoot that I did, big brand shoot in Austin. So, like, I love to cook. I love to grill. I love to, like, smoke meat and stuff like that. But the. Because I'm 40s. I'm in my 40s.
A
Do you love your wife?
B
I'm a dad in my 40s. And so, like, whenever you turn 40, it's like, you gotta smoke some meat. But I. I remember just, like, how much I missed cooking with charcoal.
A
Oh, gosh. So you're. You're setting up Claude.
B
So I bought a new grill.
A
You did it. She doesn't know you set up Claude to do that so you can go play with charcoal.
B
They're assembling it right now. Huh.
A
Oh, my. Geez. Then I'm not cooking anymore for that.
B
It's little, though. It's, like, smaller than this table.
A
So you're gonna pursue. So you're. So you're gonna cook personally for yourself on that?
B
No, I mean, it's just. It's like a small, like, charcoal grill. Like, it's like, I just want to, like, food just tastes better on charcoal. And so, I mean, yeah, I have my big smoker for, like, smoking meat and doing, like, big briskets and, like, pork butts and stuff. But, like, whenever I want to do, like, steaks fast or whatever, the smoker isn't great for, like, cooking steaks. And then the gas grill, it just. It's just not the same. You don't get that flavor that charcoal gives you or, like, wood fire gives you. And so I'm like, man, like, I miss having, like, I remember having my old charcoal grill and just, like, how much better things tasted over the charcoal. And it's not like I've been, like, looking or whatever for a while. And then, I mean, luckily, like, charcoal, like, smaller, like, round charcoal grills aren't very expensive at all.
A
And I'm like, like, how many grills do you need?
B
I'm just gonna get one. And so they're assembling it right now. But it's blue. It's cute.
A
Oh, my God.
B
It's, like, navy blue.
A
All right, guys, See y' all next week on the podcast. Just me and you.
B
Bought a Weber kettle. Just a small Weber kettle, girl. And so I'm gonna smell like smoke soon. See it in my future.
A
Yeah, well, I'm not cooking anymore, and you better share your cooking with the family.
B
So that's like, that's.
A
That's your highlight of the week, is that you purchased. You purchased a charcoal grill.
B
Going back to my old love,
A
purchasing.
B
Yeah.
A
Oh, gosh. What else are you going to chat about? This hodgepodge episode? Oh, my gosh.
B
I got to get. Kids, we can talk more about AI if you want, or we can just.
A
I will hand the mic over to you and take my earpiece out and you can talk gladly about AI that's
B
just in the podcast here. But thank you guys for tuning in, getting a little update on our life.
A
Yep.
B
And Adam's going to go smoke some meat. I know. I got to go pick up with
A
his love, a blue grill.
B
Yeah, blue grill. All right.
A
Bye, guys.
B
All right. We love you guys.
