Yeah, so today we're going to talk about waiting. We're going to move in physical house form. But as far as the city we are in, I feel like we're where we need to be. What are you trying to teach me while I wait? Yeah, and I feel like it's something your dad has. So hard and it's so hard and something your dad's always said like your dad has made a comment one day and I was just like, that's so good. It was, you know, God, don't, don't let me waste the waiting.
Danielle Busby
You know, it's, it's okay to be emotional about something or fearful about something and just casting those cares on him to stay in that mindset rather than let me get out of this. What are you trying to show me through this? What are you trying to teach me through this? How can I grow through this? And looking more to that direction rather than sitting in self pity and wondering why you're in the situation you're in. He is creating this beautiful picture and this beautiful story in our lives but sometimes we get in the way of that.

This is More Than Reality podcast where we dive into all things faith, family and marriage and share that there is so much more than the reality that you see on the surface. Welcome to More Than Reality with Adam and Danielle Busby.
Adam Busby
Hello.
Danielle Busby
Howdy guys. This is episode 89 of More Than Reality podcast.
Adam Busby
Getting up there.
Danielle Busby
We are so yeah, Just this week is already blowing and going.
Adam Busby
It's Monday.
Danielle Busby
I know, but. But for me, it's like, not even nothing today. I feel like.
Adam Busby
And all I've heard all day is, mom, I'm bored. Mom, I'm bored. Mom, I'm bored. There's nothing to do. I'm like, oh, my gosh. Entertainment doesn't have to be 24. 7 in the summer. Like, chill girls.
Danielle Busby
Yeah. So I got to the good ranger's office this morning. They're like, hey, we need you to come up. We're doing a live spot and at Houston Life at the khou. KHOU or kprc. Dang it.
Adam Busby
Kprc?
Danielle Busby
Yes, KPRC headquarters. Two different news stations here. But we went on the day, like, talk show Houston Life. And so it was. It was fun because we've been on this show as a family. We've brought all the kids there. Like, it was funny because, like, whenever I checked in at the front desk, you know, they came out and they're like, oh, oh. We didn't know Adam was going to be here today. So it was cool. It was, like, fun to see, like, all the host, Lauren and Derek. And I was showing them pictures of the girls, like, last time that we were here, because they were like, man, how long ago was that? I know. It felt like a. Yeah, it was. It was July of 2023.
Adam Busby
Wow. Yeah. Three years. Dang. They've changed.
Danielle Busby
Yeah. So they're asking about updates on Danielle and the girls. And. And then, so Ben and Corley did, like, a good rancher spot for the talk show, and they mentioned, like, our family because we're so close to Ben and Corley. And then at the end, this wasn't on air, but after we were talking, after, after, they're like, you ought to bring all the kids, all 11 kids up here. We do something. I'm like, okay, yeah. Remember what you wish for, kids.
Adam Busby
Chaos on the show. For sure.
Danielle Busby
Eleven kids in a TV studio. One of my favorite things about summertime is slowing down a little and firing up the grill. Whether it's burgers during the week or steaks on the weekend. With six girls at home, we're always looking for an excuse to get everybody around the table.
Adam Busby
And honestly, having good ranchers delivered right to our door just makes life easier. We don't have to make another grocery run, and I love knowing exactly what I'm feeding the family.
Danielle Busby
If you've listened to us for a while, you know we've partnered with good ranchers. For years. But what makes it even more special for me is I've had a chance to get an up close look at the company and the people behind it. I trust them wholeheartedly.

Actually, it's been something I think about constantly and recently for a couple reasons. One, we've been in this house situation, looking for a house and everything. And so like the waiting season and the waiting period of that is just, it's so hard. But also I probably have to say it multiple times a day to the kids. We have with like this patience and waiting and not everything being so instant gratification and like, I want it now. I'm ready to leave now. I want it. I want this now. Like those type of waiting to. Because I feel like waiting doesn't, doesn't reveal like God's character. What waiting does is it reveals our own character. And so I don't know, I just, I think because we're in summer and there's like constantly a lot of like nagging. But also we're like, in this season of like, house situation, we're at the end of, we're getting to the end of the lease that we're at and having to make a lot of decisions, but really needing like things to come together a lot sooner than later.
Danielle Busby
Yeah, because we, we told you guys a couple episodes that like, we found this house and like, we. It's a house that we would really love to be in. It's on the street that we want to be in. All of our friends are on this street. All of our friends, but a lot of our friends are on the street. And like, it's a street that like, literally we're on two to three days a week at least where our kids are playing and stuff. And it's a, the house has a lot of great qualities and character, but there's also a lot of things that we would have to do. So you have to factor that in. Like, we've put in an offer on this house, but it's not what they're asking because, like, we're factoring in the work, all the work that we would have to do to make it work for us. Yeah. Even though the location is great and that's what.
Adam Busby
And. And this is part of like that waiting season, like waiting on, you know, what's. Where has God placed us trusting in that to knowing like, we're not going to stay in this lease house forever and then waiting on like trying to get Adam and us to kind of like align on, like, hey, this house is definitely like move in. We can do it before we have to do any type of construction to it. And so there's been time in between of like waiting for us to align on. Can we do this or should we wait? Like, I mean, it's just so many different decisions you have to make when you're making especially big decisions.
Danielle Busby
Yeah.
Adam Busby
So.
Danielle Busby
So we've made multiple offers, like counteroffers and but we're still a good distance away on the price. And so, I mean, we've. We've been like already pre approved and stuff. And so in the meantime, we're also looking at a. A bunch of other houses that have just popped up on the market. And.
Adam Busby
And it's just really challenging to find. Yeah.
Danielle Busby
Because we're at this point of, okay, the lease on this house is almost up and we've already talked to the land landlord, the owner of the house, and. And he's wanting us to sign another year. And so we're like, what do we do? Do we hurry up and just find something and move or do we sign for sign another year and have to break the lease? So there's just like a lot of things that we're like, what do we do? We don't know. But.
Adam Busby
Yeah.
Danielle Busby
And so, I mean, I know everything will end up working out in the right timing.
Adam Busby
Yeah. And that's the part that.
Danielle Busby
The waiting.
Adam Busby
Yeah. That waiting season. It's like, so I know, like whoever's listening to this right now, like, I know you're waiting on something too, like whether it's a job, whether it's a family, whether it's just, you know, work decisions or looking for a house or
Danielle Busby
maybe you have to move medical answers
Adam Busby
or anything, you know, and so I
Danielle Busby
feel like we can check a lot of those boxes.
Adam Busby
Yeah, exactly. And so you kind of like wrap your mind head around like, man, are we just stuck? Like, are we stuck in this waiting. And like, what does it. What does it mean? And how. How do you, like, see your perspective in that waiting season? Like, who are you in that waiting season? Because it reveals a lot. I mean, if you think about, like, all the conversations that we have back and forth about the house. House situation. We went and looked at another house over the weekend that Adam wanted to look at. And I've seen this house over a year ago, and I was just like, it's gonna be like, it's got so much character because I like the oldness and things. And. And you know, it's like old houses
Danielle Busby
do have a lot of character because, like, they just don't.
Adam Busby
They don't make them like that anymore.
Danielle Busby
Exactly. It's like that whole old analogy, like, or that old saying, they just don't build them like they used to.
Adam Busby
Yeah.
Danielle Busby
And yeah, there's something so awesome about an old house, but it's also an old house.
Adam Busby
Yeah.
Danielle Busby
And.
Adam Busby
And this house that we looked at yesterday, apart from the house that we've been going back and forth on, still looking. Because you just never know. Was like one of those houses. Like, it's really cool, but it's almost like a complete tear down, except for the cool spots of like the old, like all that crown molding and all the wood textures and like everything. And so it's like. Yeah, it's literally like less than half the price of what the other house is. But you'd have to spend over double.
Danielle Busby
Yeah.
Adam Busby
To get the house and rearrange how the layout is a bit to make it work. And so, you know, we've kind of come to this conclusion that it's not going to be the perfect house. But, you know, we've been pretty set on, you know, space, like just kind of like driveway parking space. Especially with like, Blake driving next year, like solo in a car or whatever. And then, you know, the bathrooms was a big deal, but it's been really hard to find.
Danielle Busby
I've kind of come.
Adam Busby
Yeah.
Danielle Busby
Backwards on the back bathroom situation because even, like a lot of the comments that you guys have given it made me like, self reflect and. And think about it because, yeah, you guys are right. Like at first, whenever we were initially, like starting to look for houses, like, one of the non negotiables was we need to have four bathrooms because we're going to have six teenage girls in a house and we need four bathrooms. And man, and. And I. I've seen so many messages from people. They're like, man, we only have, you Know, we have a family of this and we only have this many bathrooms and blah, blah, blah. And, and I was thinking about it like, man, my house growing up, we had five people in a two, two bathroom house and we were just fine. And so.
Adam Busby
I know, I know.
Danielle Busby
And so I'm even looking at these other houses and we're thinking about, man, if we, if we buy this house, we would have to add a bedroom and another bathroom. It four bathrooms. I'm like, is that really necessary? Like, do we really need four bathrooms? Like, this house has three. And I think we can make that work.
Adam Busby
Yeah.
Danielle Busby
Because it's a lot of money to add a bathroom.
Adam Busby
Yeah. And so it's just been so much back and forth of like, where to. And I know we probably talk about this a lot on the podcast. It's just because it's so real and so actively happening, like every week and current. So sorry if we're constantly repeating ourselves in this category, but it's very real and it's, it's just extremely hard to. You know, another house we looked at yesterday, it was great, had a beautiful yard, a pool, you know, three car garage, like, and I think it had five bedrooms and three and a half bath or whatever. But when you go, you look at pictures, it looks great, but then you go walk it and you're like, oh my God, this is so tight. Like, the living room, Like, I don't even think we all ate. Could fit in the living room to like, watch a movie or whatever.
Danielle Busby
Kudos for all the real estate photographers out there because you guys make rooms look so big in the photos. And then you get there and you're like, man, this feels so small compared to like what we looked at. We're like, man, this house looks spacious. It looks like everything that we need. And then you get in there and you're just like, these rooms are. I don't think we can make it work. Especially whenever you have kids that are sharing rooms. And yeah, we walk into every room,
Adam Busby
be like, okay, can we fit two beds in here or three beds?
Danielle Busby
Or can we fit three beds in this room if we need to? And like, I don't think we can. Yeah, but the photos that made it look like you could. Like, I wish that it would be like a prerequisite for anybody that's listing house that would have to put the floor plan with the dimensions.
Adam Busby
I, I, that is what I would request for every time a house gets listed. Put the floor plan. That's all that's like, immediately, like, immediately what I go to because I want to see what the layout is upstairs. And bonus, if you put the size dimensions.
Danielle Busby
Yeah.
Adam Busby
This house actually had the floor plans with the size in all the rooms. So me and Chat have been having some fun, like revamping rooms, making it to my.
Danielle Busby
Yeah.
Adam Busby
Liking. But anyway, so back to the waiting and stuff. So the question really is, do you think waiting itself is hard or is it not knowing when it's going to end?
Danielle Busby
What's going to end, Whatever you're waiting for. I think it's just our own selfishness. Like, we want, and we're so used to nowadays, like instant gratification. Like just making things happen on our own. Like we, we have the luxury, a lot of just instant gratification nowadays, like everything is at the palm of your hand. Like television shows, you can binge like beginning to the end of the season. Like, I mean, you, everything is just like force fed to you. Instant gratification. And so like, we've been trained, you know, you know, to not slow down.
Adam Busby
Yeah. And, and it's so good to wait because it allows you, it allows you to really, to me personally, it allows you, it allows me to like, draw more into my spiritual side and be like, okay, Lord, like, I know your timing's always right. It's not up to me. And just constantly praying about, like that will be done, you know, so. Because it's like if, if someone were to say, okay, Adam, in six months you'll have the answer. Or in six months or six weeks or whatever that time limit is, what difference does it make? In six weeks you'll have that, you'll have the, that house, you know, or is it, is it that we want to know when that date is or when we're going to have this or that?
Danielle Busby
I mean, we want everything at our own timing. That's just the truth of the matter. Like, we want, we want the control. We want control. We want, we want answers when we want answers and if we don't have them when we want them, then it throws, it just adds stress and creates either anxiety stress or worry. And anxiety, stress and worry is like a result of not trusting in God's timing. Right? Right.
Adam Busby
So one who struggles with myself, who struggles with like control and a plan and a structure and like I, I like to know those type of things. And so, you know, this whole, let's just say like this whole year we've had this house leased, knowing that, hey, there's a year, we should have a house by then. And here we are at the end
Danielle Busby
of it going, okay, fly by.
Adam Busby
Where? Where's the house?
Danielle Busby
It's like, you know, having kids, you know, parents always talk about, like, the days are so long and slow, but. But the years fly by. Our year just flew by in this house.
Adam Busby
I mean, even just this summer so far, we're literally about to approach July. It's crazy.
Danielle Busby
The biggest thing I'm dreading is just, like, moving again. That's like a one hand.
Adam Busby
I'm not. Because I feel like. I feel like, oh, my gosh, it's another time to get rid of stuff.
Danielle Busby
I hate boxing stuff up.
Adam Busby
No, you hate getting rid of stuff.
Danielle Busby
I just hate moving stuff, period. Like, taking all your stuff, moving it into a new spot, setting it all back up.
Adam Busby
Oh, and I see, like, the things that come along with it of. This is all I need in here. And get rid of the rest. This is all I need here. Get rid of the rest. Like, I love that I'm ready to go through those kind of stuff because I feel like I live in clutter. But I think. I think a lot of us in the waiting season, it comes down to, like, that control and that. Not instant gratifications. A lot of selfishness, a lot of comparing probably to what someone else might be doing or have or make or wear or whatever that. Whatever that might be waiting. It just. It really. To me, it really reveals a lot about your own self. You know, I mean, even as a mom, going from like a big subject of, like, talking about where, you know, where are we going to, like, plant the family. We're in a new city, but, like, where are we going to be? Like, next home base, right? Like, where's our home? We feel very unsettled in this. In this home right now. And so, like, where is that home going to be for us? And, you know, continue to like it.
Danielle Busby
It has been hard, like, this whole year. It's been. It's been very hard. I mean, because we're used to having a place, a home where we just bring everybody in and we invite people over all the time. We. We're used to having people over all the time. And it's like, this is a house that we can't really do that in.
Adam Busby
We're just. Yeah, it's. I mean, we don't have people over there. Gets wrong. But it's not the same.
Danielle Busby
It's not the same. It just doesn't feel like ours. It doesn't. It doesn't feel right. It doesn't feel like our home. And like. And so like this entire year, we haven't really done much of that.
Adam Busby
We've just really been like, I can
Danielle Busby
think of it full of times that we've even had people in this house, like, just to come over and have dinner or whatever. Yeah. And it's, It's. It just. You feel off for sure.
Adam Busby
Yeah. So. So I think when we're in that raiding season, waiting doesn't create our faith. What it is doing is it reveals what. I'm sorry, it reveals where we've been placing it. So in this waiting season, where are you putting your faith? In your own plans or are you trusting in your faith and following God's timing through that waiting? And we've got countless stories of what we could talk about on. In that season, of that waiting season, from becoming parents to, you know, the nicu. I mean, to now we're here, home searching, and it's hard. It's hard to wait. And it's. And it's, It's. It's not fun. Sometimes I feel like we're. We're. We're on the right path and then like, bam, something else. And so I have to look at that and say, okay, whoa. Did. Did I step forward or go this in my own journey or and out of God's alignment because I wanted this or that, or am I still being obedient to, you know, God's path? And I think one thing for certain that a lot of people ask us since we've been talking about houses is, you know, do you foresee yourself, like, moving again? And my answer to that is that we're going to move in physical house form. But as far as the city we are in, I feel like that has, like, we're. We are. I feel like we're where we need to be. And that is a. That's a peaceful decision. So that. That decision gives me peace that here we are in friends with, like, I feel like this is good. And I have peace about that even before, you know, even when we first moved here. I've had peace about that and for the kids and everything. But now it's like, I don't necessarily have this piece yet of, like, where. Where's that? Like, what's the right house? I feel like this house is it. I want this house to be it, but it's kind of a battle of is, do you want it because it'd be good or is this where God really wants us to be? You know, it's. It's so hard, I think, which would be really interesting because Like, I think today is going to be like our last official, like this is it, all we can do, offer.
Danielle Busby
And if it works, it works.
Adam Busby
If it works, it works. And if not, I guess we're signing another year. But I love, I love being able to take situations. And this is what's so great about community and just like sharing, you know, your life with other people. They also remind you of like things that you've gone through and seasons that you've already waited through and stuff. And so like, you know, just looking at like back whenever we were trying to have Blake, like through that infertility season and like, you know, trying to become first time parents and not knowing like we would struggle and just that whole, that whole world of like, what did it do? What were we allowing it to do to us in our emotions versus God's timing and playing through all that, you know, And I look back at that and I say, man, that I was grew so close in my faith in those times and like, I still, I get reminded of that, like, even though this is not always fun and the waiting, it sucks and all that, I look back and say, like, but man, like, waiting, waiting can really like make you stronger if you pursue and trust in what God wants for you in that moment. So like, don't waste it. Don't waste the weighing. Like, what's God teaching you in that? What God is like, like showing you, revealing to you in that. And sometimes, sometimes it's like, it's really humbling things that God can reveal to you in the waiting, you know, just. Just even being a mom and like having like the girls, you know, like, what was it the other night? We were watching a movie and we made popcorn and we're all sitting down and I think we're waiting on Adam to like get a drink of water and come sit down or like a cup to drink or whatever and come sit down. And Riley's like, I want to start the movie now. And I'm like, I'm like, no, not yet. And she's like, why? Why? The popcorn's ready. Let's start it now. I'm ready to watch it now. And I'm like, well, baby, we're waiting on everybody to get in here. She's like, he's just in the kitchen. We can do it. He can hear it. And it's like, no, we're going to start this just like if we were at the movie theater. Like we sit down as a family and everybody together, you know, so it's just, it's Those things. And, like, it makes me frustrated in that moment because I'm just like. Like, why is it that we get that way? Like, why is it that we're like, I'm ready, so everybody must be ready. I mean, let's just talk about that as parents. I'm ready to get out the door, but nobody else is know, like, whatever it might be, or they're ready and I'm not, or Adam's not, or Adam's ready and I'm not.
Danielle Busby
I said it most of the time.
Adam Busby
So I think. I think something to be mindful of is whenever you're in a waiting season, I've learned that, like, God's silence isn't his absence. Okay? So it's not that he's being absent to me, it's more powerful because he's like, he's working. He's working. So whenever things felt like a disappointment or prayers felt unanswered, God was doing so much more than what I could ever see or imagine. I mean, going from trying to have Blake, just trying to have one kid, to then knowing what he had planned down the line of, like, that struggle and that season of life to now we're parents of six girls. Like. Like, he already knew that was going to be our life and all the timing around that, and he knew what he was doing in the waiting season, you know, and it's so hard to trust that. But remind yourselves and look back or listen to encouraging things or podcasts or sermons or anything, really.
Danielle Busby
Yeah. That, like, speak to that.
Adam Busby
Speak to that. Because it's true. Yeah. I mean, I've had. I don't know. I could go on. On this, but I think if someone had told us, like, this kind of goes back to the first question I asked you. Like, if someone gave you, like, said, hey, in six months, you'll have this. Is it about the answer of the date or is, you know, that timeline or what if someone were to look. Look at us, if we were to look at ourselves back then and say, God said, in five years, you would have six girls in that season of infertility, we would have been like, I don't think we would have believed it. Right. You'd been like, okay, how's that even possible? And then you say, now we look back at that and we say, but God.
Danielle Busby
Yeah, Or. Or just, like, in the thick of it, you know, whenever we were in League City, you know, at the time, it was like the house and the location of our dreams, you know, clothing boutique, and, like, all this stuff going on and then thinking ahead, like, okay, well, in two years, you're gonna sell this house, you're gonna close down, you're gonna move towns, you're gonna, you know, lease a house and uproot your kids out of school, move them into new schools. Like, we, we would think you're absolutely crazy. Yeah. And here we are. We just like completely like turned our life upside down and, and, you know, just said no to packed up and moved away and yeah, I would have never thought that we were just like, okay, like, we just need a major change in our life and we just did it. And here we are now we're like in that limbo phase right now of okay, like, what's next? And we just have no clue, like, but is where we're gonna end up or what, where we're going to be next year or, you know, all these things.
Adam Busby
Like, I mean, I believe God's God is always doing something bigger than we can even see. And I would add in what we could even imagine because if, as I look back at my life in our life, just together in, in some, you know, someone telling us, oh, just think of us in that infertility stage, you know, Blake's 15 now, so 17, 18 years ago. And someone would tell us, you're going to have six kids. You're going to be on reality tv. You're going to have the first all girl sets of quintuplets. And not that the girls would all be six girls that you would have quintuplets. There'd be the first all girl quints. You'd be on Rally TV show for 10 years and like there too, you might have, you, you're going to have health struggles. You're going to see God in bigger ways than ever. Walking through the NICU and, you know, some, some good and some bad things. And it's like, I never could imagine how that would even happen. I mean, I think the biggest one to me is that one having quintuplets, but two, just the whole TV life, like, that is just so weird. Like, I'm just a little girl from Lake Charles, you know, and didn't have really much going for her. And so it's just, it's so weird to really think about it, but trust and understand that God has way more in store for you than you could ever imagine. Yeah, like, than you could ever think of. Because no one has ever thought of, let me have quintuplets and go on a TV show. Like, no one's, no one thinks that I wouldn't even imagine that, you know?
Danielle Busby
Yeah. I mean, I think the biggest thing is, like, whenever you're going through this hard season or this tough season of what's next for me or just waiting on what's next or praying about something. I mean, I think through those moments is when, you know, God is like refining you and molding you into something new.
Adam Busby
And.
Danielle Busby
Yeah, it's the waiting and the uncertainty, the. The difficulty through that is what God is using to refine you in those moments.
Adam Busby
Yeah. So that's great. So it's. Instead of saying, when will this change? We want to say, what is changing in me?
Danielle Busby
Yeah. Or like, what, like praying, like, God, what are you wanting to teach me through this? What do you want? How are you wanting me to grow through this? What are you wanting to show me personally through this?
Adam Busby
Yeah.
Danielle Busby
And, you know, and those are hard questions to ask. And those are hard questions to ask for. It's like asking God for patience. Like, nobody don't ever ask God for patience because he's going to try you and try you and refine you through something difficult. Like, never, never ask God for patience. Don't ask God for kids. He's going to give you six. Just joking, Adam. I got you.
Adam Busby
But
Danielle Busby
I shouldn't have said that.
Adam Busby
You shouldn't have said that.
Danielle Busby
Sarcasm, guys, Sarcasm.
Adam Busby
So I think a challenge for the listener this week is instead of asking, you know, when are you going to answer the question you're wanting answers from, try asking God, what are you trying to teach me while I wait?
Danielle Busby
Yeah.
Adam Busby
And I feel like it's something your dad has. So hard and it's so hard and something your dad's always said. Like, your dad has made a comment one day, and I was just like, that's so good. It was, you know, God, don't. Don't let me waste the waiting. I don't want to waste the waiting. I want to be re refined. I want to be closer to you. I want to know what is the next step. I want to have peace. I want to trust. And so don't waste that. There's a lesson of some sort. I feel that in that waiting season, if you draw your attention towards him, then I believe you will. You will persevere through that and become better than you were prior to the ask of what the waiting was for.
Danielle Busby
Yeah.
Adam Busby
So, you know, any other thoughts that you have before kind of wrap this?
Danielle Busby
Yeah, I had a thought, like, midway through there, but I completely lost it. Yeah, it's. I think it goes along the lines of, like, you know, asking God why? Or like, but it's not a why of like taking pity on yourself. It's asking why of like, why am I going through this? Why? Like, what are you trying to show me?
Adam Busby
And it's more while I'm sitting here in this waiting, what is it that you are showing me? What is it that I'm needing to change within me? What is it that needs to be revealed to me? What do I need to be more aware of? What. So don't look at it as, oh, why, why, why? Which guys, I've, I've. But that's a real questions, it's a real honest question and I've yelled at God for that. Like, why me? Why are we going through this? Why do I have to do this?
Danielle Busby
I mean there's many stories in the Bible of like God, people crying out to God, like, why? You know, I love honesty. God wants that honesty in us. But, but you don't want to wallow in it.
Adam Busby
Yeah.
Danielle Busby
And you know, it's, it's okay to be, you know, emotional about something or fearful about something and just casting those cares on him, but to stay in that mindset rather than okay, what do you. All right, let me get out of this. What are you trying to show me through this? What are you trying to teach me through this? What? How can I grow through this? And, and looking more to that direction rather than sitting in self pity and wondering why you're in the situation you're in. Yeah, because he doesn't, he doesn't want us like wallowing in that and, and being down on ourselves. And you know, he wants the best for us. And, and he is creating this beautiful picture and this beautiful story in our lives. But you know, sometimes we get in the way of that.
Adam Busby
Yeah, absolutely. And you know, Isaiah 40, 31 says, but those who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength and it so good. Like absolutely. And like basically that sums up what we're trying to say.
Danielle Busby
Yeah.
Adam Busby
So for all those that are waiting in whatever season that you're waiting for, whatever it is, just be reminded that God hasn't forgotten you. He hasn't strayed you strayed from you and change the way that you're praying to like humble yourself and ask the Lord, like, what is it that I need to change, See, do whatever differently. Because I do believe that like God can, like the Holy Spirit can really, you know, God's spoken to me in, in different ways. One, audible in the NICU and two, through an old journal reading that I decided to read one day. And I never received anything like that. But revealed to me in writing, like, over weeks of journaling from, like, a year or two ago, you know? And so, like, there are ways that he can reveal things to you, but you have to allow yourself to get out of your own head. Get out of your own head. And don't miss what God's doing today because you're worrying about tomorrow or you're waiting on tomorrow. You know, they say today has enough of worries. What's the saying? Today? Today has enough of its own and tomorrow will come. Or, like, whatever it is. Dang it.
Danielle Busby
I think I know what you're talking about. But.
Adam Busby
So let's not end with that. Let's end with, don't miss what God's doing today. And don't miss, like, now. I can't stop thinking of that. Don't miss what God is doing today while you're waiting for tomorrow. So there's always something important today. Don't ever lose sight of the joy and the blessings around you, from the small things to the smaller things to the big things. And so just be gracious thankful.
Danielle Busby
Yeah, that's good.
Adam Busby
And something we say a lot is, see, find joy in anything. Find joy in anything and everything every single day. So change the way you prayer. Change the words on how you're praying and asking God what needs to change within you in whatever season that you're in. And then find something joyful about the day that you're at, whatever day you're in.
Danielle Busby
It's good.
Adam Busby
Do it all week until the next podcast.
