Let's just. Let's just. Let's just discuss this for a hot second. We've been on the house hunt. I know we talk about this, but it's so. It's just. We talk about it often, but it's. This is where we're at. This is life for us. And so we have successfully moved into a contract with a house. This is More Than Reality podcast where we dive into all things faith, family, and marriage and share that there is so much more than the reality that you see on the surface. Welcome to More Than Reality with Adam and Danielle Busby.
B
Hey, guys. It is episode 90 of More Than Reality podcast.
A
We're in the nuns.
B
Getting close to that 1 00.
A
Yep.
B
Actually, by the time we're probably at 100, we'll be in a different space. Did you know that? Have you thought about that yet?
A
I have not, because that's very new info. Yes. What a crazy week. Since last time we filmed a podcast and we actually were trying to, like, batch record some, and then that never happened because it got so crazy, which
B
we still need to do that.
A
I know.
B
Because, like, my July is ridiculous.
A
Yeah. It's same with me and same with this whole family. So let's just. Let's just. Let's just discuss this for a hot second. So much has changed since last week. You know, we've been on the house hunt. I know we talk about this, but it's so. It's just. We talk about it often, but it's. This is where we're at. This is life for us. And so we have successfully moved into a contract with a house. So praise the Lord. We are so excited. But now the hard, like, all the
B
back and forth and inspections and.
A
Yeah, so we're going through all that and that and that's great. But, like, everything is now happening, like, so fast because we're in, like, a crunch timeline. So, like, there's. There's a lot of the. A lot of times in, like, when I tell stories about, like, my life or, like, incidents I always tell, talk about, like, how God has a sense of humor. And, like, I saw his sense of humor once again on the day that we had to either decide to the last day last, are we going to extend this lease in our current place or are we moving out? Like, all this happened in last week. Like, this was the day we had to make a decision, and that decision came to the house accepting an offer from us.
B
And in the meantime, we were, like, negotiating back and forth on this one house, and they were just. It wasn't looking like negotiations were going very well.
A
Yeah.
B
Because we were pretty far. And I think we mentioned that on the podcast. We were pretty far off on the price just because we were. We were putting in our offers based off of a lot of things that we have. This is a lot of stuff that we're going to have to do to this house to make it work. Right.
A
And.
B
And so we were trying to, you know, hedge our offer based off of future needs, and then they weren't really coming off of the price much at all.
A
And so that's all just a stressful thing.
B
We weren't. Honestly, I wasn't that optimistic.
A
Yeah. That it was going to go through.
B
I was not. I mean, I'm pretty. I'm pretty major realist whenever it comes
A
to stuff and slash, optimist.
B
Pessimist. You said it wrong.
A
Yes. It's early. I'm drinking coffee right now. So. Yeah. So all that happened, and we gave our notice to the landlord, and we were trying to get, like. Because we have to be out by the end of this month, which means we're going to close and have to move at the end of this month when we're actually. We're supposed to be in Michigan as a family July 29 to August 5, so that doesn't work. I have an event going on there for my heart of her ministry, and so that's still happening. So trying to make family.
B
You're just going to be going by yourself now?
A
Well, actually, I want to bring Blake.
B
Okay.
A
Okay. Can we talk about that now on air? I have a hot minute with you right now. I didn't see you at all yesterday, and I was. Once again, we might be like, passing each other a lot right now and just sit here on the podcast and chat, but I had a conversation with Blake yesterday about, hey, would you still want to come? And like one. I want her to be there. She. Because originally she was going to be there and she came to the last one. Well, all the kids did, but I think it's good for her. I would love for her to come. I want all the kids to come, honestly, but it's. I don't see how to manage that. I can't take all of them. I could maybe take some of them, actually, I could probably take some of them, but that would just be more expense. Anyway, so we have to be out by the 31st. We also have to close and move into the new house by the 31st. So I also have to go to Michigan on the 31st. And my event is on the 1st and then fly back Sunday. So I'll be gone like Friday, Saturday, Sunday. Blake will come with me, which I'm excited about one, you know, it'll be another, like, just summer adventure for her. The kids will. The quints will have a plenty enough entertainment on the new street and so she can come help. She can take pictures. I actually asked her if she wanted to, like, come take some pictures to give her a little. Her photography skills to shine a little bit. Adam's already going, oh, what camera can I let her have? But yeah, so a lot is rocking and rolling. Adam's going out of town. He's got like a daddy daughter camp thing next week, next weekend, and he's gonna go out of town. We have our 20th wedding anniversary, which we're not doing anything or going anywhere because of all of this.
B
We're getting a house.
A
Yeah.
B
Potentially. If it all goes through like, we
A
hope so we'll celebrate something later, which is fine. So, yeah, these and. And on top of all those things, we now have to pack up the house. And the quints are all excited. So, like, right after we told them, like, they accepted an offer and we're on there like, okay, where's the box? So start packing up my stuff. And I was like, oh, Lord. I was like, what do you want to pack up?
B
I know yesterday I was eating breakfast and I came down to the kit. I was sitting in the kitchen, and Hazel comes down with like this trash bag of all her stuffed animals. She's like, dad, I packed up all my animals. I was like, okay, but I don't want them down here. Just leave them.
A
I don't want them coming. And then she had cuz she came.
B
Their prized possessions.
A
Okay, so that's what they did.
B
They pack what they care about.
A
I said, if you really want to go through things, because the week of I made them go through like all their drawers and their closet, get rid of things you don't like or don't don't wear, and then put it in a pile for me. And then I went through like, donate and donate and give and all that stuff. And so I know their clothes and situations pretty cleaned out. So when they're like, I want a box to put my stuff in, I'm like, what all do you want to put on there? Well, my squishies, my stuffed animals, my makeup. Makeup, quote unquote makeup. Like, they don't really have makeup, but you know, the skin care stuff. And so I just was thinking this is just gonna be a hot mess. It's just gonna be a disaster. In their room.
B
Yeah.
A
And like, Ava put like her like a little shaggy foot rug, like by your bed or whatever in the box. And it just was like, it would just look like junk. It just looks like junk. So then the cleaning people came yesterday
B
and then they think it's a trash box.
A
I noticed that there was just box. The boxes stand up and those little rugs were out. And I was like, huh? Did they do that or the quids do that? I was like, I don't know. And they're like, mom, they took everything out of the box. I'm like, because it looked like junk. It's not packing.
B
It's like a trash box.
A
I've had a lot of electrolyte drinks over the years, especially with everything I've had going on health wise. And honestly can. Here's one that I keep coming back to you. One of the things I love most is how simple and clean the ingredients are. It's coconut water and pink Himalayan salt doing the work. Not a bunch of sugar or ingredients I can't pronounce. And the taste is honestly what sold me so many electrolytes Taste either way too sweet or way too salty, but cure is just really refreshing. My favorites are lemon and berry pomegranate, but I've tried several flavors and they're all been really great.
B
And even our girls love it, which says a lot. We keep packets and sports bags in the car around the house because they're constantly outside playing, practicing, or hanging out with friends.
A
It's become a staple in our daily routine. I drink it to help restore the minerals and electrolytes my body needs. And it also helps me stay on top of hydrating during busy days when it's easy to fall behind. And Cure Hydration is officially in Target now, which I'm pretty excited about. We. We stocked up recently and honestly, the six girls in the house were constantly restocking. So next time you're at Target, grab a box for yourself or get 20 off at cure hydration.com with code more than real ingredients, real hydration. I didn't know they don't know that we're moving yet. I haven't told them yet until it's like official. Official. But yeah. So it's a little bit. It's a little bit stressful, but. But exciting.
B
The just obviously the timing just is just very stressful.
A
Yeah.
B
For like what's going on in our life right now. And.
A
But that's where I saw God's humor in that last day. Like, Lord, we have been praying, we have been patient. We've been trying to be so obedient to everything. And I. I got. We got to that day, which was like, the timeline, and I didn't feel. Adam and I carry stress very differently. I didn't feel stress. I just. That day, I was just like, you know, it is what it is, and if it works out, it works out today. Which that has been my feeling. But that day especially was just like, let it be, Lord. And so when, you know, Jenny called me and she's like, holy moly, they accepted your offer. I was like, oh, here we go. You know, and then just to think about how much time we've had since we started, and we both process and
B
we both take that information completely different.
A
Yeah. Yeah. Yes. So I take it like, oh, my God. Yes. Wow, this is crazy. There's so much to do. And I tell Mandy and Priscilla, and Priscilla's like, go, girl.
B
You work.
A
This is. This is when you shine. You work best under stress. And Adam's like, there's so much, like, you get bogged down.
B
I was just like, okay, cool. But then, like, immediately my mind goes to. Oh, crap. Like, for one thing, I just hate moving. I don't think I've mentioned that before. I just hate moving stuff. And this house, it's just. This house is not going to be fun to move into.
A
Just because that's why movie have movers.
B
The house is on.
A
It's raised.
B
It's a raised house. So, like, literally, you walk through the front door pretty much, like on. Through the second level.
A
Yeah.
B
And so.
A
Which is so funny.
B
Everything. It's like moving into an apartment. Everything's going up, essentially.
A
Yeah. But I love.
B
Luckily, like, all, like, my office, everything stays left.
A
Yeah. So. So what's interesting about this is that because of, you know, having to get out of here, priority is obviously move out this house, move out this rental, and move what's in this rental into that house. And then we have to get everything out of storage because we're so ready to get rid of the stor. Storage. Because storage prices are ridiculous. Yeah.
B
It's crazy.
A
It's. And we have two of them, so it will have to be in a stage because one, I won't be here. And there's a lot of things that are in storage that I need to go through. Like, I feel like there's so many things that we're gonna have to get rid of, which is fine. I. I Love moving because we just, it just makes me get rid of stuff. But I can manage the, I can manage the house packing. I just can't do anything with Adam stuff.
B
You guys know Texas summers are no joke. Between kids, sports, being outside, traveling, and just running around all day, by the time we get home, we're ready to crash.
A
And honestly, climbing into our Cozy Earth bamboo sheet set is one of my favorite parts of the day. They're incredibly soft, but what I love most is that they stay cool instead of getting hot throughout the night. During a humid Texas summer, that makes a huge difference.
B
We also took the Cozy Earth beach towels with us recently, and the first thing we noticed was just how soft and premium they felt. They're thick without feeling heavy, super absorbent, and definitely an upgrade from towels we've always packed before.
A
If you've never tried Cozy Earth, I'd say this. They make everyday essentials feel like a luxury you'll actually use every single day.
B
Made from viscose from bamboo, breathable, soft, and built for summer. Head over to cozyearth.com and use your code more than for an exclusive 20% off. That's code more than for an exclusive 20 percent off. And if you see a post purchase survey mention that you heard about Cozy
A
Earth right here, do you even trust me to move your clothes? Because I might get rid of some. Adam is like a keeper, a hoarder, but not like a, because like all
B
my stuff is like good stuff and like, it's like new stuff and, and it's just like, okay, yeah, I may not, I may not have worn that this season, but like, that's a really nice shirt. Or that's like a really good jacket. And like, okay, I didn't wear that this past season, but then you're not going to wear myself wearing that at some point.
A
But that's your problem. That's your problem. You have to say, did I wear it? And if not, you have to put it aside because you know, you know over time and when that next season comes, you're going to be like, oh, I need something for this. And then you're going to go buy it. You're not going to go pull it in your closet.
B
Yeah, I mean, this past winter we had, it was a fairly mild winter. And so like a lot of my.
A
Maybe it's not just winter clothes. I, I literally, I literally, I, I literally was fold folding laundry and just with what was in the kids stuff for like when the cleaning people like put stuff together and I wash it, I probably folded 20 pairs of your underwear to then go. Where do they even go? Because there's a full drawer of underwear
B
Drawer was empty because I put them. You just put them on my bed. And I opened and whenever I got home last night, it was ever. It was all folded on the bed but the drawer was empty.
A
But then a whole stack of new underwear just came in and I was like, you have more underwear than I do. And I just thought, why do I think.
B
Because every day I probably go through at least, at least two pair underwear, maybe three. Because like I'll. If I wake up and go to the gym, I'm in a shower and then I shower and I change and then whenever I get home from work sometimes like I'll either shower or change again.
A
And so if you rocking three undies a day.
B
That's why I need a bunch. That's. I got. Got to stay fresh.
A
So glad that we're talking about your underwear on the podcast. Small story. Side side note, there used to be like this like this trend I used to do with Adam. Do you remember? Ever since like when we were early married, I'd get you like weird underwear.
B
Yeah.
A
Not like thongs or whatever, just like, just weird prints of underwear and stuff. Just since we're talking about under, I thought I'd let you know. So I was folding like the cow when Anyway, I need underwear. I need underwear. Any bra. It's like one thing women don't do is like we will not go shop for a bra. It is like I talked about this with like four other women and it's like we all need a day to just like go bra shopping. It's so annoying to do that. Like annoying. I wear a sports bra like every day. Anyway, we were talking about house, so yeah. So the heart of her live Michigan event still going on. So you can go to heartofher.org and get tickets there if you want. Buy one, get one free. So buy one for you and bring a friend. It's going to be beautiful. It's going to be outdoors in this beautiful farm and I'm so excited about it. Got three amazing stories being shared and worship and encouraging messaging and it's going to be so good. So that's all happening when Adam's going to be moving out of the house.
B
So and that stresses me out and
A
that stresses you out. He doesn't like things like that.
B
I know because like I just got brought into like a meeting yesterday and it's like a very in depth project and they're like I was asking them on timeline and stuff and they're like, we needed it by the middle of July. Like, well, that's unrealistic. But it's just like asap. This is huge, like week long project. And I'm like, I don't have the time to do this project right now. Not especially not in the month of July.
A
Yeah.
B
And so it's stressful for me to tell people no and like push stuff back because I like to do a good job and I'm a somewhat of a people pleaser whenever it comes to that, especially like when the work. When it comes to my work. And. And so like, I hate not being able to like deliver something that's an expectation, but it's kind of an unrealistic expectation.
A
Also, is it weird that I've been like, well one, I haven't been able to sleep well because I'm constantly just like thinking, like thinking of things. But I feel like. I feel like I'm like alive again because I have so much to do. Excites me. How different are we? Isn't it so. Isn't it so weird how like. Like if I'm not busy or if I'm like. I hate to say, it's like if I'm not doing something, I feel down and I feel like that slowness and like that stopping and like, God, saying rest is so hard is so hard because I feel like it's such a challenge for me. It's such a challenge for me because I feel it puts me like in a down, in a downward.
B
I mean, with me it's like accomplishment. Like seeing something to completion is what, like kind of fills me up and like, like a completed project or something like that or a recognition for a completed project or so. Like if it, if it's just like something that's just kind of lingering and going and doesn't. I don't see the end of it. Like, I just get. I get down in a weird space.
A
Yeah.
B
Right now I'm feeling like I'm getting into a weird space because like this whole house situation, I don't see how our schedules are gonna align to where it's gonna go smoothly at all.
A
Yeah. And hey, who knows? We were trying to get an extension for the lease, like a little week or so, but you know, he can't guarantee that we can have that because if someone else wants to lease this place or whatever.
B
Yeah, that's the same.
A
But that was stressful.
B
Yeah. And that's probably one of the more annoying things because like in the midst of packing up our house and trying to get it ready to, like, start moving stuff out of here, we have to put, like, a lock box on our door and allow him to show this house while we're packing up. And that stresses me out.
A
And I think about that because, like,
B
there's no way this house is going to be clutter free and. And organized for other people to come walk through it and look at it, because it's going to be pure chaos. Well, in the middle of packing. And so, I mean,
A
it is what it is.
B
It is what it is, is what it is.
A
I mean. Yeah. I mean, I'm plan on going and getting some things today to start packing up all my thrifting and estate sale stuff.
B
We have about 200 boxes put together right now at Good Ranchers for that video project we did.
A
Okay. I use those boxes.
B
Can you. Probably a lot of them, because they're. Now they're just stuffed in a corner in a warehouse.
A
Oh, y' all probably use them again, though.
B
I mean, I'm sure we can use a good amount of.
A
Yeah, so. And then, you know, in the midst of all this, it's summer, right. And so, like, trying to keep kids entertained. I cannot tell you how many times. So yesterday we got up, I was like, I'm gonna go. We're gonna go to the park. This was 9:30 in the morning.
B
Yeah. I was wondering where y' all were, because I came home, I went to the office, came home to grab a couple things that got delivered, and then the van was gone. And I was like, where the heck did they go? And then I thought I saw on your Instagram story later, y' all went and played pickleball at the park. Yeah, that was cool.
A
So I was trying to get them up, get out the doors, and I was gonna go, let's go play pickleball. Y' all can play at the park. I'm gonna walk the the track out there, Exercise. Everybody's gonna exercise. And because I've been on the water aerobics kick and going to the gym regularly, but now my water Rubik's buddy has gone to Mexico, which is fine. But I realized how different your day is when, you know, you really do, like, get those endorphins and, like, all that, like, how it. I'm not saying I need to do it at 5am I can do it at 11 or 10, it doesn't matter. But just getting that into your cycle of, like, your day or a couple days a week, like, how it changes Just your. Your motivation, your energy, your mindset. And these are things that I know. But I feel like. I feel like I've been on a level of, like, really trying to understand and test things and say, like, I know this and I did this, but how does this really affect me today? Because life is very different today. And so just getting into that routine over about two. Just in two weeks. It usually takes about two weeks to. To like, make a habit. Habit. And so I really. I really feel like if you are that person that is, you know, down about something or. Or needing a boost of confidence or energy or excitement or motivation, I would just say, like, get up and go do something mo. Like moving. Like, move your body. I don't care what it is. I mean, I started doing water aerobics. Hello. And it's working for me. It. I. You know, someone who has fibromyalgia and constant, you know, headaches and a lot of tension and nerve pain and damage and need a knee replacement, and I've got back issues. I was like, I'm finally going to try this. I'm just going to go through. We have the membership. They got water aerobics. I'll go in there with all, you know, the people twice my age. And I love it. My body is working out, but it's a completely different workout than anything super low impact.
B
So, like, you're not impact.
A
So I'm like, complain about your teeth
B
the rest of the day.
A
I don't feel it in those places. It did take a couple of days to kind of like, realize how to do something. So it doesn't hurt my back when you're laying a certain way or doing something. But it's so helpful. So I was. And I was talking to another lady who had like, fibrous.
B
And now we'll have a pool at the new house. And so you can just do a water. If you have a day where you.
A
I'm starting. I'm start a class. I'm gonna start a class in the pool club. I'm gonna start the water club. I love that.
B
Actually, there are a lot of older people on our street. Yeah, you can get right in with them.
A
I gotta. I gotta learn more about it, though. But they actually saw today because actually was gonna take Blake to the gym today. And I was like, what cl. Is there a class? Cause you can be 15 years or older to go, like on the weight floor and do all the stuff. And so I was like, you wanna come with me today? But then we start doing this. So it Kind of ruined that timeframe. But maybe later. She's a. She's an evening person too. Maybe we'll go this afternoon. But there actually is another water class, and they do it in the outside pool, and it's. It's like a step up. So I think I might try that one. I don't know. I saw it was today, but I missed a time frame of it. But anyway, so that was just something to say. Like, I feel like things that I've known in my head and that I've always known is, like, working out and sweating is so good for you. But, like, I feel like being on this low of, like, body and body changes and body pains. Like, even just walking. Just. Just simply walking around the house or like, anything bothers my back and my knee and I need a knee replacement. But we ain't doing that right now. We don't got time for that. But hopefully this fall can make it that far. So I would say, like, look into those things that you wouldn't normally do, and it's okay if, you know, you don't fit in with the people that are doing the class. Like, just do it for you, you know?
B
Yeah.
A
But I told. I told the instructor, lady Eva, I said, I'm bringing some friends to this. And the Aurora class is, like, for the older. Older people, low impact. And I was just like, but this is where I need to be. Yeah, I want to do more weights, but. And lift weights, but I. I literally can't. I mean, besides, like, upper body, but I cannot do, like, anything lower body with my back and knees right now. That's our life update. We're all over the place. Adam and I are high fiving on the podcast.
B
I saw you all of probably 20 minutes yesterday.
A
Yeah.
B
Tops.
A
Wait, wait. That's what I was gonna say. So yesterday, in the midst of all this and then having the quits home, obviously, it's like entertainment, entertainment, entertainment that they want to do. So after we went to the park and everything, and we sweat it and whatever, and they're like, let's go squishy hunt. And I'm like, no, no, no, no.
B
And then that's. That's one thing that annoys me right now. It's like, because kids are so obsessed with all these squishies. And, you know, one kid will go to a store with their mom and then report back to all the other girls, hey, they have squishies at this store. And then it's like they think that, oh, because they're in stock at this store now, like, we gotta go. I'm like, I don't think so. Just because the store has them in stock doesn't mean you. We gotta jump and go on a hunt every single time somebody stocks more squishies. So that annoys me with mentality of kids right now.
A
Yeah. So they. We had, like, local, like, breakfast at a little spot. And then I was like, I want to go to the dollar. Dollar Tree. Dollar. Dollar Tree. As Dollar Tree. I needed to look for something. And so they're like, can we go into five below, please? I was like, oh, my gosh. So I said, I'm not going anywhere else except what's right here. So there was, like, five below. There was Silver B. There was Jenny's bakery. You had Squishies in there. And Dollar Tree, like, all right there. I was like, have at it, girls. Y' all can go in all those stores right now and go on your squishy hunt. And they thought that was the funnest thing. And they actually found a couple. But I didn't pay for anything. They're using their allowance money. I'm. I'm done. Squishy buy in. And we came back home.
B
Because what annoys me with it is like, I. Every now and then, like, I'll be at a store, and all of a sudden they've got this shipment. I'm like, okay, like, I'll be nice today. And I'll have to sweet talk the people at the store, because usually there's like a two, three.
A
Two.
B
A squishy limit. And I'm like, I got five kids. And I'll show them. Half the people know who I am. And they're like, yeah, okay. But then, you know, every now and then, I have to, like, flash them a photo of, like, I've got. I've got five kids, and if I bring home three squishies. If I bring home three, then I'm just. They're angry at me for even doing this, so. But then I'll bring them home, and then within a week, they've, like, they get with all their friends, and then they trade them.
A
Yeah.
B
And I'm like, I worked hard to go get that squishy. And then you go off and trade it for something else.
A
Oh, it's like every day.
B
Bartering tools.
A
Yeah. So Olivia Parker needed a tupperware, a container, and they wanted this. And I'm like, that's like $20. I'm not spending $20 on something for you to put your squishies in. You can have this four dollar little tub here. But yeah, they do. They'll go back and just brand new ones and then they'll just sit here and have trading things. And I'm like, this is whatever.
B
So I let them Pokemon.
A
They've.
B
Even though Pokemon never went away.
A
Yeah, true. They have literally have been asking to make slime. And we're like a no slime in life anymore after it's ended in carpet at the other house has been on the ceiling, like, whatever. But I finally was like, fine, we'll all do this all together. One time, one mess. And so there was three other girls over. So there was eight of them. So we had slime. It was like buy one, get one free glue or whatever at Walgreens. So hooked it up. They all made sign. I'm just thinking, I'm going to regret this. And then I did and then you did and then. But it was really funny to see like they're all playing with science, right? And making it and they, they know what to do. And I'm like, I've never been able to successfully make slime. And so some of them are like perfectly stretchy and some of them are turning into like, like noodles. And one of them are like rock. And so it's it. That was funny just seeing that. But afterwards it's like, it's such a mess. It's such a mess. I'm like, just, everybody get out, get out. Let me clean it. I'll clean it. Don't even try. Don't even try to do it. But anyway, five minutes later they're like, hey, such and such was at the five below over here. Or they went to this. What can we go? And I was like, we just went today. I'm not going anywhere else. And then four hours later, now it's like almost dinner time. We're bored. Can we go somewhere? Yeah, go outside. Go outside. Go play with water balloons that I just bought. Go play some inside. Go play, you know?
B
Yeah.
A
Just so still having to entertain all these kids while trying to like pack and kids still coming in and out.
B
I feel like this episode has been. It's just a stress relief, stress relief complaint session.
A
Yeah, it's all good.
B
It's just.
A
It's just the reality of our life.
B
It's all good stuff. It's just. It's just the timing is off. That kind of throws everything into chaos and, you know, I mean, that's one of those things of, you know, life and we always have an idea of timing and what we would like in the perfect world, what we would like as the timing for this to happen. And it seems like things never quite work out the way that we want it because we're selfish. And I feel like every time, you know, you get to the end of something and you're able to look back and you're like, we were fine. Like, things, things turned out great and in the end it didn't seem as stressful as it did in the moment.
A
Yeah, that's why I try to, like, I mean, I work, I do feel more alive whenever I have a lot going on. I like to like, manage all that. And I feel like to the listener, like, no matter what season you're in, if it's, you know, job hunting, financial stress, like relationships, whatever, like moving, whatever it might be, like God is still capable of bringing good from that season. And a lot of that is, you know, being, being mindful of, you know, how is, how are you allowing this to not just take over, quote, unquote, take over your life or, you know, push away your life. It's being mindful of like being responsive to Lord and saying, you know, still being grateful, still being thankful for today, for the life that I get to have these chaotic moments with the kids because it's summer and we're here together. I did get to do this. We are, we are, you know, safe and secure in a home and we have like, there's still so much more to be grateful for than what we are putting our stress in. And so I think if, if, if you can just find those moments daily and start your morning, do it at lunch. I don't know, like I have a 30 day devotional that's like, for that busy mom of just like, you don't have to have that quiet time with the Lord on a set schedule. You can have it all day whenever, you know, five minutes here and there, you know, in the car, sitting down with a cup of coffee in the bathtub, on the, like, wherever you can find it, I think just to be grateful and thankful for what you have, because it's a blessing to be doing this today. As much as it, as much as we hate saying this, it's, it's be patient. Last week we talked about waiting and don't pray for patience. But, you know, it is a, it is a skill to learn. Just be patient, maybe have some courage and just really, I think dig into your prayer life and be open and vulnerable with, you know, your spouse, your close friends and pray together. I mean, it's Powerful. Prayer is powerful, even if it's not something that is an immediate response. But it can be. It can be. I think that walking life with community and people is what we were created to do.
B
Yeah.
A
You may not see everything God's doing and God is producing today, but I know one day you will look back and realize that it's been something beautiful all along. Whether it was, you know, endurance in you, producing something for you to overcome, bettering your marriage, bettering friendships, parenting, whatever it is. I feel like you will eventually look back and say it really was good and you see like a, like what God was doing through that season. So don't waste the season. We talked about that last week, so don't waste it. And hopefully you enjoyed our stress relief reality conversation today.
B
It was like somewhat of an update, but somewhat.
A
Oh, just. We just needed to talk and we
B
just need to get it out. So.
A
So thanks for listening.
B
And here in the next few episodes, we may be just like. Because it's going to take a while to like, kind of build out a new studio space.
A
We'll finally have like a studio, which I'm so excited about.
B
Eventually, once we get it put together, it's going to take a lot of.
A
Yeah, it'll take a bit of time,
B
but elbow grease and construction and painting and stuff like that. But we have a space. We have a space that we can actually build something out. In the next few podcasts, we may just be like sitting in the middle
A
of a living room with boxes of.
B
A room for a few podcasts of. In chaos. But.
A
But I'm so excited to finally, like, have that studio and have some space where we really can like, really start to like, bring on guests and have like, really grow that.
B
Yeah, we'll find so many people that
A
we want to bring on. And so we're getting to that point.
B
That's a big blessing. Like, we'll. We'll finally have a space. We'll finally have a, A podcast studio where we can bring people in.
A
Yeah.
B
Unattached from the house to. Where you can kind of keep that segregated and people can like come and go from there and you can kind of keep the house separate.
A
Yeah.
B
Because like, right now we're just like upstairs in one of the bedrooms across the. From the kids rooms and in chaos and there's not room. So.
A
But do you remember, like a couple months ago I said, oh, maybe by episode 100 we'll have a studio and guests. And you're like, that's like half way through the year and here we are. Not funny.
B
I remember still 10. It's still like two and a half
A
months away, but still I feel like it's. It's. We're at 90. Like, we're close, and it's happening. Studio to 100 podcasts.
B
Boom. There you go.
A
All right, guys, thanks for listening to our blah.
B
All right, this is episode 90 of more than Reality podcast.
A
Peace out.
B
We love you guys.
A
Sam.
