Kaitlin Christine is a breast cancer survivor and ovarian cancer previvor who has made it her life's work to empower women to understand their bodies and advocate for themselves. She is the CEO & Founder at Gabbi, Inc. where she and the Gabbi team are on a mission to decrease delayed diagnosis. Kaitlin has spent over 9 years in women’s health--working for leading nonprofits and as a sought after national speaker. She was the youngest hire for the world’s leading genetic testing company, Myriad Genetics. So far, she has brought Gabbi through a successful oversubscribed first round of funding in early 2021 and has pulled together a team of highly qualified experts and advisors. Kaitlin has also been selected as Oregon’s Entrepreneur of the Year 2021, winner of the HITLAB Women’s health tech challenge and HITLAB’s audience choice award. Kaitlin Christine lives in Portland, Oregon. She frequents the Portland State Farmers Market every Saturday and in her free time (what free time?!) is a yoga instructor, avid hiker, and (un)professional wine aficionado. Nuzi is a healthcare researcher, designer and product strategist. She spent the early part of her career designing consumer experiences, including working for a men's grooming startup called Dollar Shave Club. She then went on to focus her efforts on her true passion in healthcare, completing a Masters of Research in Healthcare and Design through the Royal College of Art in conjunction with Imperial College - School of Medicine. Following her Masters, she spent two years as the Director of Product at Manatee, a children’s mental health startup. Currently she consults with healthcare startups as well as hospitals systems. Alexis Commodore founded BirthX in January of 2020 to combat the inequities and obstetric violence she witnessed as a nurse and full-spectrum doula. She believes that by centering the patient experience through clinical empathy, we can not only improve patient outcomes but improve the birth experience. Alexis has always been inspired by the strength and power of the human body to birth. She understands that with the right education, tools, and support, giving birth is empowering.
