It wasn’t until her physical and mental health began to deteriorate that she sought help and realized she was being trafficked. Since escaping from her trafficker, Brittany has dedicated her life to helping others by founding Kind I Am, a movement, which aims to use acts of kindness to put a spotlight on human trafficking, mental health, and poverty. Ritzy is the only missing person in Stratford, Ontario, and has been missing for over six years, yet the local police department isn't giving his case any attention. But thanks to the determination of Ritzy's friends, and a private investigator from the organization 'Please Bring Me Home,' witnesses are finally beginning to come forward to confirm the rumours surrounding Ritzy's death. Ritzy deserves justice, and in order to get it, his case demands more attention from the police, and more witness testimony. The unprecedented abduction saw 26 children aged 5-14 and their 55-year-old bus driver intercepted on their regular route and redirected to an underground prison dug out by their captors. The group's incredible escape brought about the end of a terrifying 80-hour ordeal. She worked as a special agent for the FBI, a spokesperson for the Philadelphia FBI office, and the Director of Media Relations for SEPTA before retiring from the FBI after 26 years. But she didn’t stop there — Jerri now has 4 crime books under her belt, and she’s the host of the hit podcast Retired FBI Case Files. Jerri opened up about what it was like moving through her career as a woman of colour, and offered words of encouragement for young women and people of colour who might like to pursue a career with the FBI.
