Vogue Williams
Hello and welcome to my therapist ghost me. Sorry, Juan, you actually. You took my breath away for a moment there. Have you still got the long hair?
Joanne McNally
No, I, I've just been being so. It's your own. It's my own hair. So again, I'll, I'll, I'm. I'm happy to take the lead and put in the context, this is the way it works that V just refuses to provide.
Vogue Williams
I just think everyone watches your Instagram like I do.
Joanne McNally
I. Well, if there's. If as much as many people listen to watch my Instagram, I'd have a lot more Instagram followers. I. I seem to let them down on that front. Slightly losing interest in Instagram. But anyway, another conversation I had, I was doing. I did the Claudia Winkleman chat show on Friday.
Vogue Williams
Yeah.
Joanne McNally
And as part of us, because I. I was doing like, you know, I was like, I'll do a new Luke as the kids, of course, new look. And I asked Hadley would he put extensions in so that I could look like a woman. And he did. He put in these course extensions. And then I had this lovely long trail of like feminine, like a tail. And I was curling it and I was playing with it and not going to lie when I say my male attention up itself. And that is science, guys. I was more attractive. I felt more attractive. I felt sexier. I was kind of swishing through the aisle of the plane flying to New York the next day. But then of course, when I landed, I woke up. They were. It looked like Chernobyl had gone off my head. There was ones hanging out here, one's falling off there. No shade on Hadley. Just obviously me pulling at them. And then I started to look.
Vogue Williams
You were wearing clippings. Clip ins is a little day job. Not everyone said I get nailed.
Joanne McNally
No, my head. Yeah, it was in a clip in. But I went. I. This morning I looked like I have to do a couple of bits today. Do you remember when Angelina Jolie remember she. Remember she had those heinous stenos. Do you remember there was a photograph of her on the red carpet?
Vogue Williams
Yes.
Joanne McNally
And the. And the Stanos went to a certain. And then her. Her own hair. It was so bad. But I was like, what's obviously happened is Angelina has had a really good job done. Sorry. The day before or the night before. And she just tried to rock them for a second day like I did without the hairstyle. Anyway, I've decided to get them put in property.
Vogue Williams
You're gonna get full timers. There's certain things in life and I know like everyone can choose to do what they want, but like having long hair, because I used to go from short to long. You feel, you feel a little, I feel personally a little bit younger and a little bit better looking with longer hair. And it's the same. That goes for a tan. If I don't have a tan on, I don't feel as, as, as good. I don't feel confident. It's just certain things that make you feel confident.
Joanne McNally
Little lift. And you know me, I'm very bad on my own hair and I feel like I'm always going around. It's just pulled up, it's always a little bit messy. Even though I try my best, I try my best with it, I just don't have the eye for it. So I feel like if I have long straight stenos that I won't have to do as much and I'll just be like, I'll just be like a pretty little horse.
Vogue Williams
I don't.
Joanne McNally
Trotting through town.
Vogue Williams
I don't think that's really the case.
Joanne McNally
I can get up and go because it's not my hair.
Vogue Williams
I. Well, I know, but you still, it still is hair. So it's just, it. If anything, it's going to add to your load. I, I just want you to know all the, the facts before you get 22 inch extensions to your artists.
Joanne McNally
Well, I don't know. Well, I'm just saying if it looks like I can't be blamed because it's not my hair.
Vogue Williams
Fair. Okay. That's actually a good way. Do you know, I met a horse the other day who, who was wearing. Who was wearing. You know, I did. I met a horse yesterday. He was wearing, he was an older horse and he was a Friesian. So this beautiful black horse. But there was four of them and he was the oldest one, Jasper, and they had to, they put spray in his hair because he was at the parade. So they put that stuff, the l' Oreal spray, because he has a bit of a gray mane and they sprayed his hair. So he, he looks fantastic.
Joanne McNally
Hold on. They tried to spray the gray out of its hair for St. Patrick's Day.
Vogue Williams
They didn't try to. They did. He looked like a young foal by the time they were done with them.
Joanne McNally
I assumed you were going to say that they sprayed on green, white and gold, which would have made more sense. But no, they shamed the horse. He's probably worked his whole life. That is so insulting to the horse.
Vogue Williams
Okay. I saw him trot before and I saw him trot after. And the. The post spray Trot was a lot more happy than the. The pre spray felt like one of the gang.
Joanne McNally
I'm sorry if you can't even age as a horse.
Vogue Williams
No, he was swishing that tail like no one's business.
Joanne McNally
What I know.
Vogue Williams
You cannot age as a horse cuz then you'll end up making glue for people to sniff.
Joanne McNally
Jesus Christ. He'll be going on Horse island next, trying to get abs for himself. That poor bastard thing has probably worked all its life, carrying tons and tons of wankers on his back. And now the last. His last shred of dignity, he's getting booked for the Patty's Day parade. And they give him Botox and spray the gray out of him.
Vogue Williams
He looked absolutely beautiful. And Jasper was.
Joanne McNally
Aren't you lucky to have any gray yourself, Oak. Can you imagine what it was? I'm supposed to make you wear a wig like Annie the Orphan. A curly. Anything to add youth to you.
Vogue Williams
Well, they did say you need to get the stenos done before you're allowed participate in the parade. And I said, fine, I will do that for you. And I'll wear. I'll wear. I'll make sure the hair looks.
Joanne McNally
It's young.
Vogue Williams
They didn't really say that. Come here to me. Tell me. So you tell us about the Claudia Winkleman show. We want to know who was on with you.
Joanne McNally
Okay, so because I was. Then we'll do the Paddy separate because I obviously want to know all about it.
Vogue Williams
Or we both don't talk to each other. So we both. We're talking. You tell me and then I'll. So we'll go. I. I'm more desperate. Go on.
Joanne McNally
Yeah, we. We share information live now. Unless of course, it's something incredibly sinister
Vogue Williams
and then I'll write quite a few of them as well. Delete.
Joanne McNally
Then it's like answer now. So it's been. It's been busy. It's been busy. Finished with shows in the Olympia, did the night late, then went back and did Claudia. Claudia was obviously. Everyone loves Claudia Winkleman. That's why she has a chat show. And actually there was a really interesting episode on the podcast that we love, Vogue. I don't know if you ever listen to this as entertainment with Richard Osman and Marina Hind.
Will Buxton
The rest you know.
Vogue Williams
He questioned how to games.
Joanne McNally
I know he quit House of Games.
Vogue Williams
I can't believe he quit House of Games. I loved him on that. But the other fellow who's coming in what's his name, the Welsh actor? Martin Sheen. Is that his name? Martin Sheen as in Charlie Sheen's dad? That's Charlie Sheen's dad, isn't it?
Joanne McNally
I wouldn't imagine would be around. He'd be up for.
Vogue Williams
No, it was not Michael Sheen. Michael. No way.
Joanne McNally
Yeah. Yeah.
Vogue Williams
I like him as well. So he should do a fantastic job.
Joanne McNally
I'm googling Michael Sheen. Is he. Or is he the lad who had the. Is he. Is he Kate Beckinsale's baby dad idea? Yeah. Anyway. Sorry, where was I? Oh, sorry, here we go.
Vogue Williams
Claudia Winkman.
Joanne McNally
Yeah. They did a great episode on how it's gotten to this, like, how Claudia has come to this point in her life, which I thought was really interesting because they talk about how, you know, she's in the business 30 something years and like this hasn't happened overnight. And they also said, they said if you ask most people in the entertainment industry what they want to do, they will all say chacha.
Vogue Williams
Yeah.
Joanne McNally
Because he was.
Vogue Williams
I can't remember.
Joanne McNally
I didn't really. I. He said it was because they get to look like they're interested in people and stuff. I actually think it's because you get regular screen time. It's really well paid.
Vogue Williams
But it's also interesting that you are getting to chat to really cool people every week.
Joanne McNally
But I also think you're in a job where the guests can help you do the lifting, if you know what I mean. No, not if you get a bad guest. But like, you know, it's different if you're interviewing very boring people all the time. But usually if there's people in entertainment, they usually have a story to tell here and there and a bit of pizzazz about them. So anyway, he was like, it's everyone's goal as such.
Vogue Williams
Graham Norton was saying. I read his book and he was saying that like they pair people to certain people together. So you're not just chucked in with somebody who. Who. Who has the same times as you. So like with Robert Dairo, he said he had to be very specific who he'd put on with Robert De Niro because Robert De Niro was quite like quite dull and just not like, doesn't really want to do it, isn't very chatty. So he has to get other people on that will like create a conversation around Robert De Niro, which I think. Yeah, but they do it with different kinds of guests. And so I'm glad you were. You were paired with.
Joanne McNally
So I was on with our local man. Not horn.
Vogue Williams
Yeah.
Joanne McNally
Rachel Ziegler.
Vogue Williams
Yeah.
Joanne McNally
From our Snow White. Disney. And who I had seen in Evita. I'd been to the London Palladium to see her and Guz Khan, who I didn't. We didn't know each other beforehand, but we got on like a house on fire. And so it was a really, really, if I do say so myself, fun foursome fivesome, including Claudia, of course. But, like, no one was shy. And look, I was saying to your one, Rachel, I'd say that I'd seen her and that I was obviously so impressed by her talent. And now that she was actually funny, I was considering having her assassinated. She's. I was like, that's. That's not fair. That's not fair. You can't have personality at the door. Yeah, yeah, please. You can't have lungs like that and be and be and be witty. That's not fair. And she's. I know. It's. I, It's. It's so interesting when you see insanely beautiful people in real life because you're just kind of mesmerized. She is the prettiest thing I think I've ever seen, Dawning. I just. She's like, she's like, like a little Disney princess.
Vogue Williams
Sometimes you're kind of, like, in awe of people like that. You're just like, oh, God, that's really. Feel it. You really feel your, your number.
Joanne McNally
She was. Yeah, for sure. Well, we're not even. I'm even including you in this one, V. I'm even throwing you in the ugly bin with me in comparison to her. And, you know, I always elevate the ugly bin. Yeah.
Vogue Williams
I would not. Come on. Like, there's a few people that.
Joanne McNally
You're in the bin, V. I never put you in the bin. Just take, take us.
Vogue Williams
I, I'm sure she was a lovely girl, but, like, I wouldn't be friends or two pretty people. I, I, it wouldn't be good for the confidence on a daily basis.
Joanne McNally
I wouldn't, I wouldn't put the lid on you in the bin, but you'd be in the bin. Okay. And then Niall Horn, who I'd never met. We have a couple of mutuals, but I never actually met him. He's lovely. Really, really nice. I met his girlfriend Mia as well. She was lovely.
Vogue Williams
Oh, my God. I was about to ask, is he still with a girlfriend? That's been a long.
Joanne McNally
Yeah, it's been a long time now.
Vogue Williams
Yeah.
Joanne McNally
Yeah. So the whole thing was lovely. We got along great. I was wearing a gorgeous top that I bought in inverted comments from a company that I will be returning it to. Except now I'm not sure I can because when I hugged Nile, his makeup went on the shoulder and now it's like, well, I either keep it or I sell it for more because it is not Horn's face. I know.
Vogue Williams
You could either sell it for more or you could actually send him an invoice. Noel, great to meet you the other day. Could I get your number? Just, just. Why don't you just send him a message on Instagram, great to meet you. Could I get your number? And then just. That's when he shoot over the invoice
Joanne McNally
and he said just, yeah, yeah. Well, at the moment it looks like I've Jesus face and toast. You know the way to remember all that. Every time we spoke, the girls were squealing in the audience. I was like, jesus knowledge, really, if I could deal with that much squealing in my life.
Vogue Williams
I was driving by the 3Arena yesterday where my friend Joanne has a second
Joanne McNally
show on sale and she certainly does. Thank you.
Vogue Williams
And I was driving by it and I was driving by at like 10 in the morning and there's people queuing up outside to go, go and see whoever was playing that night. At 10 in the morning, I said there wouldn't be a single person in the world I'd queue outside like that for Somber or something. Is there a band called Somber?
Will Buxton
Yes.
Joanne McNally
S O M B R Are you sure now they weren't doing a morning shower on matinee?
Vogue Williams
No, it was an evening show. Now in fairness, actually, when I think cast my mind back, I probably, if there's a chance of seeing Justin Timberlake, I probably would have sat outside in the sun. Honestly, no, Back in the day, Joanne, back in the day I had like, like I had no problem sharing him with my best friend Ashley. Like, we were just, we had this whole plan about how we'd both get with him. It didn't matter who. Like, we were seriously obsessed now. I wouldn't have any interest now. I wouldn't queue up, I wouldn't queue up in the post office behind him now. But like back in the day, I would have loved it.

Joanne McNally
I have an apology because I was about to say I wouldn't. I'd rather gargle silage than Q. And I've had it. Turns out there's been a couple of messages from that I hadn't read. Juwan. You did it again. This is the last message I had.
Vogue Williams
Please.
Joanne McNally
You can't gargle fermented grass. You mean slurry. So she's trying to correct me on it a couple of times. There's one before that. Joanne. You always say silage. You mean slurry. Joanne. It isn't so. I'm sorry. It's a corrections corner. I'd rather giggle. Slurry.
Vogue Williams
You're gonna have people coming after you for giggle now. Wasn't it?
Joanne McNally
I'd rather gargle slurry. So what would I do with silage then?
Vogue Williams
It doesn't have the same ring to it. Just enjoy it. It's. It's like. It's the grass that cows eat in the winter.
Joanne McNally
Just enjoy it. Okay. I will. You know. Guilt free.
Vogue Williams
Guilt free.
Joanne McNally
Bit of silage for you to clean that up. I just. I was. I think I was annoying the. The farmers or the land people. So I want just clear that up and say it's slurry. From now on I'll be gargling. Not silent. Okay.
Vogue Williams
The farmers still like me because remember I was the ambassador for the National Dairy Council and I got loads of.
Joanne McNally
I could one for gas.
Vogue Williams
I love that job. I missed that job.
Joanne McNally
I know the face of milk.
Vogue Williams
The vegans came after me.
Joanne McNally
But the.
Vogue Williams
The farmers still. Still like me.
Joanne McNally
Come here for your case. Tell me about this. How was the Paddy's Day parade where you were the grand marshal being driven around Ireland in a stunning twee chaka. By the way. Wasn't it Not a bullet hole on you vog. I'm very impressed.
Vogue Williams
Do you know at one point. At one point I was like. I wouldn't mind an odd little. A little shot would have been fine. I. I think. I think I'm shy. I was just like. When I got in the car I was like. What have I Done. Because I was like, who the do I think I am standing here waving at people? And I was like. And they were like, victorious. Murphy was standing up and I was like, oh, God. Oh no, I can't. Oh, no, I can't stand in the car. And then I had to. They were like, guan, would you stand up for a few shots? And I had to stand up. And I was like, huh? I was so. I, I like, it was an honor to be able to do it, but I was like, I. I don't think I would put myself in that position again because I'm too shy. I think that I. And I know I don't come across as shy, but I suppose it's the whole idea of notions as an Irish person. Like, I don't. I was sit waving at people and I was like, all my friends at home are slugging me.
Joanne McNally
Yeah. And we were, we were.
Vogue Williams
I know you were. And then I was like, I forgot what happened.
Joanne McNally
I. I woke up, I completely Forgot it was St Patrick's Day until I was. I was sitting in Heathrow Airport and I was like, oh, my God. I was so unaware it was actually going on. Go on.
Vogue Williams
Anyway, it was, it was an honor. And the parade isn't a. The parade is amazing. And my niece got a picture of Catherine Connolly. She was very nice to her when she was sitting in the grandstand.
Joanne McNally
Did you not meet Catherine? Did you not go in and meet Catherine? I thought there was like a breakfast involved or something.
Vogue Williams
Well, I went to a breakfast. Catherine wasn't at that breakfast. So it was a really full on day. And I'd like to clear something up, right, because you know, when you do the late late, not you in particular, you actually got quite nice comments. But like, so you know, your, your grandman pod, PJ and Kevin, they also did a video on it because they went in the late late. And it's the same thing. It's like, what am I paying my TV license for?
Joanne McNally
Was there that.
Vogue Williams
Was there.
Joanne McNally
Are you saying, was there a bit of that?
Vogue Williams
Was there a bit of it? There was a lot of it. Remember, I was on to you. I was like, holy Jesus. I mean, I don't even like doing the late late that much because I just don't like the abuse that comes with it. But this is like tenfold. And so what are they wasting their money on getting her as the grand Marshal? I would like to clear something up. I did two days of work for the Grand Marshall job because it is an honor to do that for our country. And I was honored to be asked. There was no payment involved. It's something that you just do. The St. Patrick's Day Festival is a charity, so you do it without getting paid for it. So I would like to say that first.
Joanne McNally
I'm assuming you find that out after the fact and then kicked off, because I would have.
Vogue Williams
That's why I wasn't at the end of the parade, actually. That's. I just got out of the car and I stormed off.
Joanne McNally
Two days that stands are taking my life, my own penny, not even a bit of breakfast with the president. I'll tell you, I vogue. I. I said this to you. I think it was. I think it was a brave thing to do. I really do. I think it's a weird ass job. And unless you're. Unless you're Katie Taylor coming home after winning six gold Olympics, I don't think anyone's not gonna get abused for driving around in a car. Do you know what I mean? Waving.
Vogue Williams
I was like, the good stuff's coming. The good stuff is behind me. Okay. Because like, I'm going around in a car and waving at people. I was like, don't worry. The floats and the bands and the dancers, they're on the way.
Joanne McNally
Yeah. Did you have it? You should have had a megaphone. You're like, I'm sorry about this. Sorry about this. Just let me pass through with a bit of pride. And then the real braid is coming behind.
Vogue Williams
I was absolutely wrecked by the end of it. It was two hours. I'd been smiling so much. I drank loads of water because I had some water in the back of the car. And then I had drank so much water that I was like, I'm gonna probably piss my pants now as well at the same time. But I was. Because you're smiling the whole time. And it made me think, I am glad I'm not a member of the royal family. I couldn't do that every day. It's absolutely exhausting to be on your best behavior. You can't even look at your phone or anything. You have to be on your best behavior for two full hours.
Joanne McNally
That is, I just would have been filming and tagging the parade all day. No.
Vogue Williams
Oh, my. Well, for a person with my attention span, it was very, very difficult for two hours. And I was like, my brain was depleted by the end. I was like, I don't think I can see anymore. I was in bed at 6 o'.
Joanne McNally
Clock.
Vogue Williams
I had to go. I couldn't even have a drink. I was like, I have to Go to bed.
Joanne McNally
That's out. You know, to get the crowds going when I was coming through, I would have done something like. I would have filling them and saying, like, this is going out in Times Square so that they kind of get, like, you know, excited. Yeah, that's what I would have done.
Vogue Williams
Take your top off. And I said there'd be no point.
Joanne McNally
Good for him. Getting involved. That's what we like, community spirits.
Vogue Williams
I did feel like at least he's getting involved. He's giving us to talk about here.
Joanne McNally
Yeah, but. But like I say, fair play, because that is not an easy job. And. No, no, you survived us. It's done now. You had your day.
Vogue Williams
And I know. And I know, I know. I got. I. I'm straight back in my box, by the way. I came home and I got back in the box, and I won't come out again because I. I understand it, but I met this man at the breakfast, and he was like, I was gonna write into your podcast about when I. When I was in Bristol one time, and I was like, oh, okay. He's like, I'll come back when I. When you have two minutes. I was like, well, I have two minutes. Like, I can. You can tell me the story. So he said that he was in Bristol on his own, and he wanted to go and see a play, and he'd been told 222. A ghost story or something. It was called something like that. And he said, it's. It's meant to be brilliant. It's meant to be really scary.
Joanne McNally
It is.
Vogue Williams
It's a great play. And he said that that was playing in Bristol. He'd heard that was playing in Bristol, and he wanted to go and see the Ghost story show. So he. Anyway, he went down and he sat down in the theater, and he noticed that there was a large amount of very drunk women beside him. And he was like, this is a bit unusual for it. Started getting into it. And he said that there were two women he didn't really recognize. I won't tell you how he eventually said he recognized me. Then he said, oh, and I eventually recognized you because you used to be married to Brian McFar. You are really not insulting me here at all. And then. So he sat down and he said the show started, and he was expecting, like, obviously a play. And then you and I came on, and he said it was very explicit, and he was like, amongst all.
Joanne McNally
He accidentally came to my therapist, Ghost me instead of 2.2. 2. 2. Whatever.
Vogue Williams
It's called a ghost story. It was Ghosted. Oh my God. I went to Ghosted and he had pictures and everything of the set.
Joanne McNally
That's hilarious. That was like. I remember Jason burnt having a story once years ago that a couple came in kind of late to his show and they looked very surprised for the whole thing. And eventually he stopped and he was like, are you guys okay? And they're like, we thought, we thought we were coming to Cats.
Vogue Williams
People sometimes do that to me. Are you, are you married? Are you Spencer, Matthew's wife? I'm like, no, my name is Vogue. Are we going to talk about the Manosphere?
Joanne McNally
Absolutely. I, I have to say I, I have been, I'm not just saying this, incredibly busy over the last nine, 10 days. At one point I wasn't sure I was going to make it. So I haven't been able to write down my. All my thoughts in the manosphere, but I have thoughts. I'll start. Okay. These men, obviously we all know Louis 3 was made a documentary called the Manosphere about toxic masculinity and kind of the rise of us and where it's all come from, etc, And I think it's Louis best work yet. I forgot how powerful it is to just say nothing and that stupid people talk because they, because they come. Because they come out with the most ridiculous ever. I think they're, I think they are a mix, these men of thick. Like genuinely thick.
Vogue Williams
Stupid. Yeah, agree.
Joanne McNally
Problematically thick wanting to make money with rage bait. I don't think some of them even half believe some of the. They're saying the fact that like seeing some of them who were like, yeah, clean. You'll take my dick when I tell you take my dick. And then when he's with you, he's like, well, obviously when she has her period, like, I won't force it. You know, it's like, oh, this is too you, your sister. It was cringe worthy. But I, I'm gonna.
Vogue Williams
That was, that was Myron. And I think that Myron, like, he was the worst. He was the worst of all of them.
Joanne McNally
I think he was, he was, he was definitely the most. He was, he liked to be considered the worst of all of them for sure. He. He took great pride in his toxicity. But at the end of the day, he, when, when his girlfriend was in front of him, he was a very different person, wasn't he?
Vogue Williams
Well, you know, you know, the girlfriend has since left him, so he was, yeah, he was like, maybe in one day, like, what I'd like to do is to be married to two people and they have all this one way monogamy where they can go out and ride rings around themselves and then their wife can't do the same thing. So it's only, it's only okay for them.
Joanne McNally
But. Sorry. In that conversation though, this is, I was like, this is so, this is so telling. So when Louis tried to have the conversation with Myron in front of his girlfriend, he's there holding a poodle. He looks like really shook because he had to defend this now to his girlfriend. And she's like, yeah, he has mentioned this before. And she was kind of looking at me, goes. But honestly, like, you know, at the moment, I mean, I'm not saying I want that multiple partners. I'm just really busy with work. And I was like, you have no intention of this. You're just talking shit to make it sound like you're some big swing and dick. Whereas actually you're a man in love. I can see it in your face.
Vogue Williams
He is, he was the most pathetic. And like, he took, he uses like playground tactics to take down women that he would have on his podcast. And he sits there and he, he, he takes down the women. Look. Looking like that himself, like, sorry. And he also is, I just, I just found him really, really stupid, really toxic. He's really racist. Like, if you've seen anything else of him online, like, he's, he's incredibly racist towards people and he's just really bad. And I said last week on the bonus, I said, I actually, I can't blame the parents, but actually it has
Joanne McNally
to come from somewhere wider, wider, like, zoom out. This is, as we know, a result of the MeToo movement, us calling masculinity toxic. And then men feeling completely vilified, and then they kind of come together in online chat groups or in, in real life, and they present with this like, ultra masculinity. And that's how this is all presenting now. And it's all the kind of. I don't think you can blame the parents for that necessarily. Like, I don't. I think that's just culturally what's happening at the moment. And then they're being led by these people, like these manosphere men who are saying men have to earn their value. Women were born with value because we have a. Basically, that's what they're saying. Did you see the scene where your man Justin, when he'd met these two fans in the street and he was saying to Louis, you know, at 21 years of age, women are really attractive. They could be invited on a yacht you know, they have that value. And then he points to one of the guys talking to him and he goes, look at this guy. He's never going to be invited on a yacht. And your mom's just nodding his head along basic. This man's in business, sits. He's not hot enough to be on a yacht. And the guy's just agreeing with him. So they have this. This is the thing that women want value in men and that men have to build it and that we just get it.
Vogue Williams
But. I know, but these complete. Go on. I'll let you finish first.
Joanne McNally
That I'm. I'm always curious in the. How has this happened? Rather than like the individual is doing it. It's like, what has come to this? But when HR ticky talk, whatever your man's name was, that he ends up calling his mother Mami in front of the, in the camera. Now, now. Never lived it down. When I first. When he first spoke about his mother, I was like, oh, this is interesting. Because he's like, she's not racist. She' against all this stuff. She's not homophobic. She hates when I speak like this. And I was like, oh, this is really interesting. I wonder how this woman. Is it Elaine? Was that her name?
Vogue Williams
Yeah, I think it was.
Joanne McNally
Then we met Elaine and the first five minutes of meeting his mother, I was like, again going, oh, this is interesting. He's very different in her company. She seems to have a bit of authority on him. She's clearly disappointed in how he behaves. But then as a scene rolled on and he'd be in kind of extradited back home to go to court for this car crash that he was responsible for, she started saying things like, everyone's different, everyone's allowed their opinions and blah, blah. And she was kind of defending him. And I was like, oh, Elaine, you're a problem.
Vogue Williams
You know, I know. Yeah, she is dead. I think that she actually is definitely the problem. But like, even with, like when you look back at their childhoods and a lot of them don't have that father figure in their lives, like HS tiki talk. He doesn't.
Joanne McNally
Or they've toxic relations with their mothers. Absolutely. There's always background to this stuff.
Vogue Williams
They go on about all these, like, these things for people to buy and like, this is how you make money. This is how you get my lifestyle. Those plonkers have not got a single solitary clue about any stock market about any kind of bitcoin, yet they're able to convince men. Little. Well, not men, boys to Invest their money into what they're doing because then they get a portion of what. What they are good at is selling. And then the young boys are buying this thinking that they're going to have the lifestyle that they have. And I also don't. That they own the houses, that they own the cars. I think it's just like made up bullshit. Least lifestyle that isn't even true. And they're just trying to prey on young boys who are impressionable and who kind of are looking for that father figure in their life as well. And I actually do think it's sad to think that they just never had that growing up and like that's what they've turned into. These like. I think that Marlon Fella is evil. He used to work in Homeland Security in America and he stopped working in that and now he's going out spouting this stu over his podcast, like really crazy scary stuff. And I actually think he is quite like, he's Andrew Tate levels of worrying and like scary for the world.
Joanne McNally
I not. I'm not denying that he's scary for the world. I just think he's so stupid. I was just shot. I was, I was blown away by how, how much of a grift it was, if you know what I mean. I was like, I don't even know if these lads believe half the shit they're saying. I also think what I thought was really telling was the way your man HS tick, tick, tick, tick, tickety talk, talk, whatever was interviewing Bonnie Blue but saying he thinks she's disgusting but is filming dancing with these only fans girls. But like it's all for cloud or ticks or whatever they say. But I like, ultimately this comes down to men resenting the fact that they want to ride women and they resent the fact that women can withhold sex from them. And that to me me was what it came down to. They resent it. So they're like, I wanna. The other way. They're like, I wanna her, but I hate her. In the same breath they're like, yeah, when I, when I have sex with her, I have no respect for her because I've gotten what I've wanted, but if she doesn't give it to me, I also hate her. Now these are. We're not talking about day to day like the normal man that we would come into. We're talking about men who've been radicalized in a way, but they're. There's room for that to happen. They resent, this is straight man. Obviously we're talking about. I don't know if there's that many gay men in the manosphere, but this seems to be all very focused towards women, doesn't it?
Vogue Williams
It.
Joanne McNally
But they resent the power of the pussy, which is a very American term to use. But I think that is deeply what. I think that is what is what at the center of it. And so because of that, they think they're. They're upset about their legacy ending. They're upset about not getting sex. I think they're entitled to it. And instead of kind of like talking about how positive will be to have a family, they're just talking about their legacy, about having kids and how they should be protected like an endangered species, basically. And that's. They. That. I think that's where a lot of the, the, the resentment and the bitterness, the anger comes from. It's like, I hate women, but I want to ride women, but they won't let me ride them. And now I think they're.
Vogue Williams
I also think it's quite scary that, like, it's, it's in the manosphere. It's with these younger generation of men and not just them, that some of them were too old to be even doing that. But anyway. But also it's like it's, it's, it's seeping into politics. Like, when you look at America, the way things are going backwards for women and stuff over there, like, it's actually. It's not just something to be worried about your kids watching online. It' seeping in over there as well. And it's like they're taking away women's rights and they're just like, it's crazy to watch the whole thing unfold. And I just think that, like, hopefully people, like, really start understanding a little bit more and just realizing that how big a problem it is.
Joanne McNally
I was in a way reassured by it a little bit.
Vogue Williams
Yeah.
Joanne McNally
At how stupid they were. Like, I swear, I know that sounds mad, but like, I was like, oh, this is all a grift. This is all. Now, I'm not saying that that doesn't mean that it has tangible consequences. You know what I mean? But like, these men are de. Like just. They just looked thick as to me, they looked emotionally unintelligent. They looked pathetic in my eyes. I was like, oh, you're the biggest fear.
Vogue Williams
Stupid, pathetic losers. I agree.
Joanne McNally
But you remember your man? What's his name?
Vogue Williams
Myron.
Joanne McNally
Myron. The scene of Myron held in the poodle while his girlfriend clearly is looking him up and down. Be like, you're telling this lad we're gonna have a big open marriage. Is that what you're doing? And he could see his face kind of crumbling. It was all show. And then she walked over, he went, clean up the studio.
Vogue Williams
Yeah, yeah, shut the up.
Joanne McNally
But like, even, like, is that even real? Does she.
Vogue Williams
Like.
Joanne McNally
She was probably just going to run a cloth around the studio anyway because there's about to be some work done. But he had to kind of shout at her in front of the camera. It all just looked like a big act to me.
Vogue Williams
But even your man Sneako, who was one of the streamers that was on it, he wasn't like, he didn't even. He didn't even know who Louie. He didn't even know who Louis through was before that they were that. That he filmed him. And then after he does the stream and he's like, oh, it's like, how could you film with somebody for consecutive days and not even look into who they are? Yeah. Listen to Lou through and the Ramesh Ryanathan podcast. It's really, really good, by the way. And if you actually listen to Louis the way he is on that podcast, he does have, like a really different Persona. But like, you just. Because that's all you've kind of seen of Louis, because he's done so many documentaries and all that kind of stuff, he's actually like, he is so funny and so quick and so brilliant. But like, what he was saying, when he does this documentary, he has to give people space. Sometimes he'll ask them something and then he'll notice that they get really bothered by it. So he pulls back a little bit because he doesn't want to lose the whole interview. So he said that, like filming that and them filming him, them streaming him while he was filming, he was like. It was just a really unusual way to be because obviously you edit stuff and everything like that. But like, he edited it the way it was shown on the stream as well. So, like, it's not like he was putting words in their mouth, but like, they thought that they were. The HS Ticky talkie thought that he was getting one up on Louis through. It's like, you're not going to get one up on Louis through, particularly as you're so a dumbass, you know?
Joanne McNally
So it was so cringe. Remember when he started talking to the camera? He was talking to the camera about his fitness regime and Lou's standing behind him and he's like, who are you talking to? He's like, the camera and he's like, no, this is a documentary. Like you talk to me. It was just so cringe.
Vogue Williams
You know what?
Joanne McNally
But that guy, Suki, what's his name? Suki. Snooki, Whatever, he said it, he was like, this is all just to make money. It's just rage bait. We just say to gain traction cloud and then we turn it into the cash. We sell our, you know, make a grand while you're sleeping plans or whatever it is. It's just, it's a. It's a weird, aggressive pyramid scheme of pissed off penises. It's a penis pyramid scheme at the expense of women. At the expense of women. Sorry.
Vogue Williams
Yeah.
Joanne McNally
The expense of our safety.
Vogue Williams
Yeah.
Joanne McNally
By the way, Toronto I think we put on. The venue we put on originally was a little small, so we've moved the venue. November 8, Toronto. We're going to Elgin theater. Tickets are now on sale.
Vogue Williams
Did anyone watch the Oscars?
Joanne McNally
I did. I watched the Oscars as I watch all awards shows. Yeah, I didn't decent, but I know.
Vogue Williams
Okay, sorry, sorry, I didn't mean to ask. I didn't mean to ask that question because no one watches it. Did you, did you read all the good gossip on the Oscars?
Joanne McNally
Well, Jessie Bulkley won. That's the main thing. That's all we want to know.
Vogue Williams
Jesse, congratulations. Amazing.
Joanne McNally
All our love. So well deserved. Amazing. What a year. What a year for her. Jesus. Oh my. I think she's taking every award. She's probably gotten one for Ghosters. Is she? She's taking every award going this year.
Vogue Williams
But she's actually, she knows she started on like on a TV show. She started on a talent show. Yeah.
Joanne McNally
Andrew Lloyd Weber's one.
Vogue Williams
I know. And like, look, and someone, someone had told her that she, she wasn't going to do well in acting. Well, look at her now.
Joanne McNally
Look at her now with her.
Vogue Williams
She's a BAFTA and she's an Oscar. And that's just. They're the only two that she's won in the last month.
Joanne McNally
And an ifta. Although, no, no, no shade to the if to get. But imagine, imagine Jesse hadn't won the ifta. The IFT is the Irish one. Imagine she was snubbed by the IFTAs and went on to get an Oscar.
Vogue Williams
What about Tim?
Joanne McNally
He didn't get us.
Vogue Williams
Now who got us? Michael B. Jordan for Sinners. And I have heard Sinners isn't that good from two or three people. But I'm going to watch myself. Two or three enough for me in the bed. Now I'm gonna watch it. He is he is just so beautiful, that man, isn't he? Have you seen him?
Joanne McNally
I watched. I. He is. He's absolutely beautiful. I watched that film on the plane on the way over. What's it called? The new one with Leonardo DiCaprio.
Vogue Williams
Poor Leo. How many Oscars has Leo lost? He's looking like a ride, though. He is looking like a ride. With his. With his tash he had going on. He looks like he's had a bit of a J in the face, too. But he won an Oscar in 2016 for the Revenant. But he's also. He's lost seven. Seven Oscars, and he's won one. What a sting. But can we talk about Timothy Chameleon? Because I don't think. I know. That's not how to say his name. Shyamalette. So past correcting that now. It just. Okay, in this context, that's what his name is. So he. Basically, everyone was saying it was because of the remarks that he made on the opera and the ballet, but supposedly the votes were kind of in before that. Yeah, he went on this rampage of being like, 2016 is my 20, 26 is my year. I'm absolutely brilliant. I'm one of the best actors of all time, kind of. And I think that put people off because you need to have, like, just
Joanne McNally
a little tiny bit of human humility.
Vogue Williams
Yeah.
Joanne McNally
His strategy was pick me.
Vogue Williams
Pick.
Joanne McNally
That was his. His strategy was like, I am an iconic epic performer. Yeah, I'm on the way. I'm on the way. But also, he's young. Do you know what I mean? I'm sure he has many Oscars ahead
Vogue Williams
of him, and I won't. It wasn't his year, but I won't have it said. People were saying it's to do with the Kardashian curse. Lead life. The girl is alone. Kylie Jenner is a Jenner. She's not a Kardashian. So it's not her fault that. Timothy. Timothy. Timmy.
Joanne McNally
Tz.
Vogue Williams
I lost his Oscar.
Joanne McNally
I watched one battle after another on the plane on the way over.
Vogue Williams
Amazing.
Joanne McNally
Tiana Taylor, exceptional acting. Exceptional film. And I probably shouldn't say this.
Vogue Williams
Yes.
Joanne McNally
But have you seen the body on her?
Vogue Williams
Have you seen her in the Kanye west music video? If you want to feel awful about yourself, go and watch her in the Kanye west music video. You'll pass away. I have never, like, I have watched that on my.
Joanne McNally
We should. We. We also honor the work, Tiana. We honor the work. We honor the work. We honor the work of the. Apparently t. Apparently Tiana Taylor and Jesse Buckley have become really good friends. Sense.
Vogue Williams
I I interviewed Diana Taylor at at the Oz Fair premiere and she was one of my favorites.
Joanne McNally
I loved her.
Vogue Williams
Sarah Paulson was really sent but Tiana Taylor had so much time for me.
Joanne McNally
Yeah.
Vogue Williams
And she was just really nice and really sound and I had been like drooling over I think it's Kanye west fade. She's in and just watching her like Joe, save that for private time if you're gonna watch it. I wouldn't watch it anymore.
Joanne McNally
How I don't know how much Ricklin she's on that she can do all this acting and keep that body down. My God. But someone was saying when Jesse booked was getting interviewed on it was Carl Sinner one of the one of the late night American shows and they were saying that when they had Tiana on when the show ended she went up and shook hands with everyone in the audience and everything.
Vogue Williams
Oh God, I love that.
Joanne McNally
I felt bad. I felt bad about the late late down. I was like see ya. I was gone. Should have stayed and done the rounds. They're probably all like Joanna got my park. I'm supposed to your get grant. No one wants to shake your hand.
Vogue Williams
When I go to the late late I'm going to be handing out tan. There's going to be one for everyone in the audience.
Joanne McNally
You should.
Vogue Williams
You should.
Joanne McNally
It's a great.
Vogue Williams
You're actually not allowed to do that. You're not allowed to do that. It has to go through this. No, it has to go through this whole ad thing. So sorry. Joanne was planning on giving out a few anxious preoccupied bags but she wasn't legally allowed.
Joanne McNally
That's it for this week.
Vogue Williams
We've been.
Joanne McNally
Our therapist ghosted us. Thanks for listening.
