Vogue Williams
This is a Global Player original podcast.
Hello, and welcome to my therapist Ghost with me. With me, Vogue Williams. And she, Joanne McNally.
Joanne McNally
She's home.
Well, well, well.
Well. Wellington, the royal adjacent jungle customer is describing it. You're not the queen, but you did very well. You're royal adjacent. Once again, Vogue Williams. I'm not finished yet.
Vogue Williams
Sorry.
Joanne McNally
Has brought great shame to the part. No.
Vogue Williams
And to my family.
Joanne McNally
And we are friends. Humiliated, mortified, disappointed, appalled. I've been in Crisis, pure, for 48 hours, trying to figure out how to handle this situation. How many messing. Vogue, you smashed it.
Vogue Williams
Well done.
Joanne McNally
And can I just say, on behalf of all of us, your abs were the main event.
Vogue Williams
Thank you very much.
Joanne McNally
You're welcome. And winning 11 stars in the agility.
Vogue Williams
I'm sorry. Let's not forget that. Let's not forget the 12 stars I won on my first trial.
Joanne McNally
Sorry, was that not the agility course?
Vogue Williams
No, that was the snakes.
Joanne McNally
Sorry. I was like, she's really leaning into her crufts era with the agility course. I was like, she is. I've never seen anything like it.
Vogue Williams
My ribs, My ribs. Everything. My face.
Joanne McNally
God, where do we even start? Now, I'd like to say for. For the interest of our listeners, I've already had a private conversation with folk where I got some intimate details about the jungle that we can't publicly say.
Vogue Williams
I think I can go. I think I can go a bit further than I did with the press. There's nobody here monitoring me.
Joanne McNally
There's no listing. There's no one listening to us.
Vogue Williams
Just remember that when I first came out of the jungle, fully monitored. Yes. Press people oppressed people around me. Don't say this, don't say that. Well, that's out the window.
Joanne McNally
We are. We are uncensored.
Our favorite piece, our favorite way to be like, okay, where. Is there anything you would like to start out by saying? Or do you want me to just.
Vogue Williams
So I went. I went in. I went in late, which probably made it a little bit harder. And then when I watched some of the footage back, I was like, oh, my God. They were a bit annoyed that we'd come in, but there's always a couple of latecomers, and it was my choice to go in late. They just kind of chose me. And I was thrilled at the time because obviously I got more time with the kids. And I was delighted, and I still am delighted because it just meant I was away for less time. Like, I was in there. I think I left on day 13. And although I was Ready to leave. Obviously, I would have stayed longer, but, Joanne, you know what I'm like, I'm like, if I was. I was myself in there and the messiness just. I just. When I saw the rats, when we were told there were rats in camp, and I was like, please, please, can we wash the stuff?
Joanne McNally
But were the rats put in there on purpose or are they just organically living their lives in there?
Vogue Williams
John, I was in a jungle. There were rats lived there. There were rats, there were possums. We found a snake that they had to get rid of. And they don't let you near them because a lot of them are venomous. There was this massive iguana. Like, I'd never seen it since. So big. It was like a meter and a half long, climbing up trees and stuff. So it was full, full jungle. Like, I think. I don't think I thought it would be as hard as it was because people are like, compared to Bear Grylls. And I'm like. I think it was harder because bear grills. First of all, I'd no family. It was just me. So I was like, as much as I missed everyone else at home, I didn't miss them as much as I miss them this time around.
Joanne McNally
Sorry, I know what you mean. You'd no husband and kids at the time. Yeah, got it.
Vogue Williams
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. And I just.
Joanne McNally
Amber and Sandra will be delighted to hear you announce.
Vogue Williams
Amber and Sandra.
Joanne McNally
You absolutely family.
Vogue Williams
I went in an orphan.
Joanne McNally
Yeah.
Nobody gave a sh.
Vogue Williams
No one on the outside. Yeah, no, no one on the outside.
But this. I was like, it's hard. So you land in Australia and I got picked up by somebody. I swear, I never. I. Well, when I say I was looked after, I mean, I could say I did it for the flights alone, to be honest with you, but they got me ground transportation. So, like, you know when you see those people in the boogies and I'm like, how do they get those boogies? And I thought it was for people who, like, couldn't get from gate. Yeah. There I am, Lady Mock sitting in one of the bookies just flying past, are they not?
Joanne McNally
Were you sitting. Now, I'm always interested to know because I always make eye contact with the people who are on the back of the boogies facing out towards us. And they always look a little bit embarrassed. Did you make eye contact on the way or did you get the glasses?
Vogue Williams
I had to keep the eyes down. I had to keep.
Joanne McNally
At least you were going at full speed. I've seen them kind of creeping along and you're like, dude, you could have walked.
Vogue Williams
Oh, no. In Dubai airport, you get knocked over by a boogie, it seems to be your own fault. And they just. They stop for no one. So landed in Brisbane at like 10 o' clock at night, and I got collected. And then they take your phone off you, and I. Well, didn't bring. Listen, there's many things I've learned in the jungle. One of them is I need to stop being such a geek and I need to stop following rules so closely, because rules are losers. That's what the rules are for.
Joanne McNally
Didn't Julian McKe MU a load of turmeric in when she went in? Do you remember? She. She made special knickers for herself and stitched a load of, like, salt, pepper, turmeric, cinnamon, loads of spices and all in her. Well, I mean, in her crotch to have a.
Vogue Williams
To have a couple of boxes of Malden salt. My knickers are probably bigger than hers as well, so I would have put a couple of boxes in there. Like, you, I miss salt. But you get in the car, they take your phone away.
Joanne McNally
I've said it before and I'll say it again, right? Reality TV going on like you're going into witness protection is one of the weirdest things about the whole thing.
Vogue Williams
I think a lot of it is quite. It. Like, it's mentally tough and it's physically tough because mentally you're. You never know what time it is. You never know what. Where you're going because you're always covered up. So your head's covered when you leave the camp.
Joanne McNally
It's weird. Like, what? It's. It's like Guantanamo Bay. Like, it's supposed to be just a bit of crack. Like, what. Why do they try. Why do they take themselves so seriously?
Vogue Williams
It actually. But it kind of adds to it because it makes it that little bit harder because. But then again, you're kind of like. Like, I just assumed that it would. I don't know. I should have spoken to more people before I went in. But anyway, you go in, but you're eating so little, and if I see a bean or a bit of rice again, I'll pass away and die.
Joanne McNally
Does this mean the Heinz collab is done and justice?
Vogue Williams
Well, Heinz have been on already. They're, like, very sad.
We're very sad to hear, essentially, beans anymore. Can we send you a package?
Joanne McNally
I was thinking, yeah, they need to send some apology beans. Like, it's not their fault you were waterboarded with beans all day and night in the Jungle also. And they weren't the catchings you could do. Oh, very well. Very, very diplomatic there. Vogue. You're like, if they were Heinz, I could have eaten them all day. Hashtag God.
Vogue Williams
If there were Heinz, I would have been absolutely delighted with myself. But.
Joanne McNally
So I have a question. I don't interrupt your flow, but I do need to ask you before you move on.
Vogue Williams
I'd rather you ask me questions because I'm gonna forget stuff.
Joanne McNally
Fine. So you said to me that when you landed in Australia that you still had to keep up the facade that you were just there for personal or business reasons, that it was nothing to do with celebrity jungle, and that if you were stopped, you had to say, you've gotten a roll in home and away.
Vogue Williams
I was either gonna say, I got a roll and home and away or I'm going to swim with sharks or something like that.
Joanne McNally
Yeah. So you weren'?
Vogue Williams
No, because there was no pops at the airport when I landed. Because I don't think that they knew when we were landing.
Joanne McNally
Got us.
Vogue Williams
So we just went straight to the hotel. And then we had three days in the hotel. But, Jesus, the jet lag when he got here. And that, I think caused me problems when I went in. So I went in and. And I couldn't sleep. So the first night, I think I slept for like two hours. I know you're on all day now in France, you're sleeping. So your bad situation is just like. Just this. Like, you saw the beds, they're not great, but I actually slept really well towards the end. But the first night I went in, I only got like a couple hours sleep. The next night I was slightly better, but not really. And then we went out in a night trial, the one where I got all the cockroaches and crickets poured on me. Cockroaches, smells about. I cannot describe it now.
Joanne McNally
I had a little routine where I would do my show and then I would come home in the evening, go back to my hotel, order loads of room service, and then put on celeb and watch you gargle. Pig vagina juice. And the gagging. Vogue. The gagging. This is what I've realized about this year's version of the Jungle.
Vogue Williams
I was like, why does it look.
Joanne McNally
So hard this year? Now, obviously, I had skin in the game. You being the skin.
Vogue Williams
Yeah.
Joanne McNally
So I was obviously watching it through different eyes, but then I did a little bit of googling. And I don't know if this is true or false. This is my opinion. I think they've cut the budget on the jungle. And I think they've stopped making the. Yeah, yeah. Now I don't mean. I don't mean the. I don't mean you guys. I don't mean that on the talent. That's not what I mean. I mean that would be an incredibly cruel way to start this piece. No, but they've. They've cut the. They've cut the budget and they've stopped making those really intricate underground. Remember they used to have all these in underground layers and they'd stick you through pipes and all. Because I'd say they cost a lot of money to make. And that's why there was so much of the overground drinking rotten. I think it's cheaper to do that and I think that's why.
Vogue Williams
They did the drinking one is because they haven't done a live trial in three years. And to try and set up a live trial for everybody to do together, they had to do something. That'd be quick. Oh yeah, I see.
Joanne McNally
So, okay, I see. What were those liquids? What were they really, I wonder?
Vogue Williams
Because they looked everyone like. I can't.
Joanne McNally
I. I will. I have nightmares of you and Kelly Brooke gagging in my face. It was gross.
Vogue Williams
Mine. Mine was fermented fish and f. Shut. And actually, I swear to God. And then when I started puking, I was like, Jesus Christ, I can taste it again. I was like. And then all day long when I burped, it was just fish. I was like, oh my God.
Joanne McNally
Disgusting.
Vogue Williams
I had to leave a shop today cuz I went shopping. And I was like, I swear to God, I think I smell cockroaches. And I had to leave cuz I like to. It's haunting me.
The pig brain that I had to eat. Jack said to me, because he really does know everything about everything in the jungle. He was like, that's about 700 calories. And I was like, great. I was like, maybe I won't be hungry.
Joanne McNally
There's no way it was real pig's brain.
Vogue Williams
It was real pig's brain. It was a real brain folk.
Joanne McNally
I just hope you get a chat show the size of Ricky Lake after this because my God, you deserve it. I don't know.
Vogue Williams
Married. Because I don't know if I'd get a husband after it, to be honest.
Joanne McNally
Well, I don't know. The gagging men probably find that quite hard. There's a lot of photos of you gagging on the Internet now. I'd say there's men happily having a go with themselves watching you gag.
Vogue Williams
Oh God.
Joanne McNally
I have questions.
Vogue Williams
Okay.
Joanne McNally
H and Shona.
Vogue Williams
Yes.
Joanne McNally
Real or. Or fro months?
Vogue Williams
I. You see, I'm trying to be very politically correct in talking about them because I do think that they got on very well. But I don't if it's anything romantic because I don't know if either of them are in that situation to get into anything romantic. But.
Joanne McNally
What are you suggesting? What are you suggesting, though? Just.
Vogue Williams
I'm not suggesting anything.
Joanne McNally
Romance.
Vogue Williams
I'm sure that. I'm sure that they will talk about when they come out, but I don't think that. I don't like. There was nothing like romantic about them in there. Well, I tell you a couple of things that people don't know.
Joanne McNally
Yeah, tell us some stuff people don't know. Give us the inside scoop.
Vogue Williams
So you have to wash your own clothes. There's like this bath and two people have to sit on a bike and this water flows into the bath. So two people sit in a bike and cycle while somebody else gets the water flowing. So we stopped doing that quite early on. So we were just trying to wash our. In the shower. And you just use like washing up soap because you get like washing up soap, you get shampoo and conditioner, but really bad ones because it has to be like. Because it's going back into the water system there.
Joanne McNally
It has to be really nice natural.
Vogue Williams
And then you get your little nightmare.
Joanne McNally
Natural products.
Can I get something that works?
Vogue Williams
There was a couple of times I went up. So you go up and you ask for something. Any chance could I get some leave in conditioner?
Joanne McNally
If you don't know.
Vogue Williams
Would you have a nail file? No.
Joanne McNally
Do you know what? Actually someone actually messaged me saying, folks biting her nails in there a lot. Is she okay? I was like, sadly, I actually can't communicate with her.
Vogue Williams
But. Well, those people were like, she looks sad. But the thing about it is you're filmed all day long. There are so many cameras in the camp. And like, I don't walk around smiling all day long every day, but I was generally quite happy in there. I did have one incident.
Because, you know, I'm such a. Like, I'm just crazy about my sleep. And if I don't sleep, I get anxious. And that's why I worry so much about my sleep. So I didn't sleep that night. Then we went out and did the trial and another night with the. With the cockroaches. And then I was like, right, I'm not gonna sleep now tonight, I'm not gonna sleep. And I started having an Absolute meltdown. Like, just lying there being like, please sleep. Please sleep. And I had to go up to the bt, so it's the Telegraph, where you go up and do all the chats. And I was like. I started, like, having a panic attack. And I was like, please. And I was like, I don't show this because everyone will see how mental I am. Like, having a complete, like, complete. I couldn't control it. Like, I just went into full panic mode. And they're actually so nice when that happens because they're like, you're okay. It's fine. Don't worry. Like, and they're trying to, like, just talk you through it and stuff like that. And then the next day, I. I was like, I need to talk to Sandra, who is the psych. Oh. So she. Because I was so panicked that night because I just. My anxiety just then hit, like, 90, and I was like, I just need to, like, I have to get rid of this. This is really bad. Blah, blah, blah, blah. Went and spoke to her and then. And she just completely. I was like, do you do therapy in London? Because she was so good and completely, like, reset me. And then, like, for that whole day, I was like this. I'm actually totally fine now. I don't know what she did, but just the way she kind of talked me through loads of stuff.
Joanne McNally
And.
Vogue Williams
And, like, I was only talking to her for about half an hour, and I just was like, okay, reset. Panic stations over. And I didn't really have really bad anxiety after that. Then. Thank you.
Joanne McNally
I like, I like that they have a Judy a care now on reality tv. There was a time where you would just be left flipping and flopping in that thing and no one would have given a. Like, do you remember back? Do you remember, like. Like, when they didn't. There was no kind of mental health help on these shows. I watched Kinga shove a wine bottle up herself in Big Brother, and no one stepped in at any point and went, king.
Vogue Williams
I'm really thinking about that. Like, two, though. I swear.
Joanne McNally
Are you sure this is your best foot forward? No, it's not a thing.
Vogue Williams
So not only did they not say anything, they aired it.
Joanne McNally
Of course they heard it. Now I'd like to think if you'd kind of started behaving that way, that by the time you got up to the top of the label, they would have been like, well, we're gonna interfere up here and say, put the.
Vogue Williams
Put the.
Joanne McNally
Yeah, yeah, yeah. We have to put the toothpaste down, please. No, it has to be Something larger and more absurd.
Vogue Williams
Well, we had this little toothpaste, toothbrush container as well, so that probably could have worked, but there are rules in the jungle. And one of the rules would be you're not allowed to pull away yourself. Like, you can't just be under your covers.
Joanne McNally
Like, I couldn't think of anything worse. Like, why would you like what you're. What are you in there for like four days? Like, get your together. Like, if I, if you, I, I. No, come on. We can all contain ourselves. Unless you're aroused by the fail and the snakes, you'd be grand.
Even the fact that for. Actually, no, I've completely changed my mind. You should be entitled to do that if you want to relax. How could I help you sleep without having a party?
Vogue Williams
I mean, just sitting there and everyone around me, like, do you think that's fair? And everyone else, when you're having a little go yourself in the jungle, but.
Joanne McNally
You'Re in Love island, they're riding each other in the be.
Vogue Williams
Well, they don't like that in the jungle. There's no riding in the jungle. Okay, Joanne? So that's why I said. When they said, would you want to do it? I said, no, she wouldn't because she likes riding in the jungle.
Joanne McNally
I do indeed. I'm an outdoor gal. I was in the skates for years. I, I didn't ride indoors for the first 10 years of my sexual life.
Vogue Williams
And so is your right.
Joanne McNally
And as is my right. Yeah. I was like, unless I'm touching grass, it's not happening, pal.
Vogue Williams
I need to be.
Joanne McNally
Well, I did, I did a press call because I was. Well, I was, I did, I added an arena while you were, while you were relaxing. Well, you were relaxing in the jungle about.
Vogue Williams
Oh, yeah. Really relaxing.
Joanne McNally
Yeah.
Vogue Williams
Okay.
Joanne McNally
But we did, I did a press call for the day in the 3Arena and I was speaking to the, you know, the evokes and the Goss and the herd audience and stuff.
Vogue Williams
Yeah.
Joanne McNally
You know these rooms you go in and you're kind of doing like back to back interviews. And it start. And there was obviously a lot of shot about you because you were in the jungle at the time. And the start. They were at the first interview, they were asking me would I do it. And I said no. But by the time I got to the end of the table, I was like, like, I'd love to do it. I've changed my mind completely because I think I talked myself into doing it. But then the more I watched a view, I said, do you know what I actually don't think I would. Even though I do think of myself as an ex scout, I don't think I would.
Vogue Williams
Yeah, when I was in there, I said, joanne, this isn't for Joanne. I did think that on numerous occasions. I was like, she just wouldn't like this. You like your comforts a lot and I like my comforts a lot. But you like, you m. You miss so many things in there and the food is like, it doesn't taste like anything. So even when you get one of those meals, like, I don't know, kangaroo arse, like, it's just. You kind of wish it would just taste like something, just anything. But it's all just like we got cabbage once and we were like, oh my God, that actually tastes like something. It was such a treat.
Joanne McNally
Anyone else? Was anyone in there not getting on? Was there any. Anyone scrapping?
Vogue Williams
Now? I didn't see any scrapping but I did hear some whispers amongst, amongst. I can't say who and I'll say.
Joanne McNally
No, but, oh, come on, people.
Vogue Williams
But it was only like, it's little words that would seem like big words in there. Do you know what I mean? Like, oh, well, he told me not to do that. Or she, she was like this to me and like there was only a couple of, a couple of things like that. But like it never was anything that would upset the camp. I think everybody was just like kind of really cool and even the thing with the cup, but me and J, with me and Ginge and like I think that that was, that wasn't like as big as it was, I don't think on TV it was just like, come on, just like do the washing off. That's your chore. You have to do that. And I was a chore whore so I did all the chores because I actually really enjoyed doing them. But I'm a neat freak and you can't really be a neat freak in.
Joanne McNally
The jungle also you're trying to kill time in there. Do you know what I mean?
Vogue Williams
Yeah.
Joanne McNally
Remember when I said I put on an arena?
Vogue Williams
Yeah, yeah.
Joanne McNally
December 12, 2026. That's also very important. It is not 2025. It is 2026.
Vogue Williams
Oh, imagine all the people that are just going to show up in 2025 to one they're going to show up. It doesn't matter. It doesn't matter what you say here. I'm going to be there on December 6, 2025.
Joanne McNally
It's 12-12-12. Well, I don't know who's on set up camp Just set up camp. I. I think. I said, I think it was. I thought it was.
Your man, Dylan. What's his face? What's your man's name? Bob Dylan. He's doing the rounds. He's on the. He's on the.
Vogue Williams
Dylan's dead.
Joanne McNally
Hold on, let's fact check this immediately. Who the.
Vogue Williams
Bob Dylan is dead. Like ages ago. He died.
Joanne McNally
It's still alive.
Vogue Williams
He's alive.
Joanne McNally
You're like me with David Attenborough. I keep.
Vogue Williams
Well, why does he have a movie about him? I thought that was because he was dead. Did you think he was dead?
Joanne McNally
Dylan?
Vogue Williams
Oh, my God.
Joanne McNally
No, he's still alive.
Vogue Williams
Why does everyone think he's dead?
Joanne McNally
Hold on a second now.
Vogue Williams
Louisa just goes behind me. Bob Marley's dead. We know that. Or is he?
Joanne McNally
It's Bob. It's Bob Dylan. Bob Dylan has been on tour behind me for the last three months. Oh, my God.
Vogue Williams
Yeah.
Joanne McNally
And he is so. He was on the. He was on in the INAC and Killarney after the night after I was on and apparently he doesn't like, come into the house. Like, he doesn't, you know, there'd be like backstage, in the green room, in the dressing room, milling around, blah, blah, doing sound checks. He does nothing. He walks from his tour bus in the side entrance onto the stage, does his bits and Bobs back onto the bus and he's gone mad.
Vogue Williams
I mean, I need to re. I need to just. I need to just reset for a second.
Joanne McNally
Sorry.
Vogue Williams
He is shocking.
Joanne McNally
We're sorry to break the news to you folks, but Bob Dylan is alive.
Vogue Williams
How much I hope. Joanne. Dead years.
Joanne McNally
Yeah.
Vogue Williams
Not just recently dead. Dead alone.
Joanne McNally
Sorry for your gain. As opposed to sorry for your loss.
Vogue Williams
Well, I'm looking forward to the gig.
Joanne McNally
I told he was doing December 12 this year and I was like, well, if he rings in sick, I'll go in and play to his audience, which I'm sure they would be absolutely delighted, but I don't know who's in on the 12, but someone is. Anyway, I'm next year 2026.
Vogue Williams
Oh, my God. I must go and see him. That's now. I have to go and see him. Wait till I tell Neil. Neil's a big fan.
Joanne McNally
I'd be delighted to hear he's being resuscitated. I. I don't know.
Vogue Williams
He's not dead.
Joanne McNally
I do not know how, but I am somehow involved in a Reddit thread about David Attenborough's non.
Vogue Williams
Death.
Joanne McNally
I get notifications every day saying David attenborough has passed McDonald's. He remains alive. And it's his constant gags about the fact that he's not dead. But every time I get a little jump scare. Cause I think he's dead. Yeah, it's actually really, really funny.
Where are all the stars? You get to bring them home. Like your teeth after you get them removed.
Vogue Williams
They did give me three stars for the kids so I could give them one star each, which I thought was very kind. They're nice, they're sound.
Joanne McNally
We had. There was the same with Taskmaster. We. We kept some of the tasks, you know, like for, you know, the way they come. Yeah, you gotta. You gotta take a little momento.
Vogue Williams
I took a few little jungle, like, clothes bits as well, just to keep Just a couple of things.
Joanne McNally
Yeah, they can hardly strip you of your outfit the second you get out.
Vogue Williams
No, like, they gave it to me, but like, I don't want to take. I never want to see the boots again. So I'm not taking them.
Joanne McNally
Fair enough.
Vogue Williams
They're like, I got them and they're like two sizes too big and they were like, embarrassingly large. I think they used to flung to Harry Red. Excuse me.
Joanne McNally
I think you were very brave to give them your real foot measurements, folk. Fair play.
Vogue Williams
Harry Random has my face.
Joanne McNally
Oh, yeah, you're throwing it back on Harry now, are you?
Vogue Williams
Well, if it's.
Joanne McNally
Just spread it around. FYI, he's a eunuch. Let that spread there now that's why.
Vogue Williams
Tiny little feet and little hands.
Oh.
God.
Joanne McNally
Vogue. Tell me, Ruby Wax. Are we meeting her again? Is she in our gang? Is she not?
Vogue Williams
Ruby Wax in our gang. I can't believe she's out. Oh, I did a spoiler on my Instagram and everyone was raging. Ruby's out. Did you not know that?
Joanne McNally
Sorry, I did. When I say it feels like they're throwing out three a day at this.
Vogue Williams
Point, like, well, there is going to be a double eviction soon and we knew that that was coming up, so there'll be a double soon.
Joanne McNally
Okay.
Vogue Williams
But Ruby's out. Yeah, fifth out. And yeah, we will definitely be being friends with Ruby. She's really fantastic. Yeah. Much like you would have been in the jungle. I think you would have Francis.
Joanne McNally
Ruby. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Vogue Williams
Did you see about Spence race?
Joanne McNally
No.
Vogue Williams
What? Well, it's not a race really. It's his. He's doing his seven triathlons, so he's doing his seven triathloons in. In the seven continents. He's currently in Antarctica and he's about to start the marathon, which is the final part. And if he does this on time, he's going to break a world record. What? Yeah, yeah.
Joanne McNally
Jesus Christ. The sooner that man goes back on the booze, the better.
Vogue Williams
I know, but the press were trying to do that thing. Why isn't Spencer in Australia? He's literally in Antarctica.
Joanne McNally
Sorry. Well, I one night got very emotional and because I. So the problem with the bridge and this. I really do think this is a problem with the jungle bridge.
Vogue Williams
Yeah.
Joanne McNally
To be on that bridge, to meet the person coming out, it's basically three weeks of your working life that you have to be in Australia, Correct? Yeah, yeah. You have to fly out at the start. You should be there when you go in because you don't know at what point you're going to come out and you'd be there the whole time. And that's why a lot of these people, their management end up meeting them because, A, we're usually best friends, their management anyway, let's be real. And two, no, that doesn't come after A, B, they have to have the freedom to work from out there. Now, obviously, I would have loved to be on the bridge. I'm on tour. Amber would have loved being on the bridge. She hasn't. She has an actual job. Do you know what I mean?
Vogue Williams
All my friends, all my friends have jobs or kids, so nobody could come out. And it's two weeks on your own. So it's two weeks on your own. Now, it is a lovely hotel and everything like that, but you're on your own and you're. You're just kind of waiting. So I actually couldn't ask anyone. And poor Louise, so she kind of had to do it. She's here with me now. She's desperate to come home.
Joanne McNally
I drunkly texted Luisa one night because I was having an emotional moment and I was like, when's the bridge? I'll go, I'll fly.
I'll do a 24 hour turnaround and I'll be back in time for the show. In Castle Bar. She's like, we don't know. We don't know when she's coming out. And it's, you know, she's decided.
Have we covered all our jungle business?
Vogue Williams
I think. I think we've covered all the jungle business. Oh, one thing.
So when you come out, you have to do interviews. And I never really like saying stuff like when something is misprinted.
Joanne McNally
Oh, it's a nightmare.
Vogue Williams
But not once ever did I say that I blamed the fact that the Irish couldn't vote. I was asked A question. And the question was, do you think the fact that the Irish couldn't vote caused you problem? And I said, well, I wouldn't really know. Like, I don't. I don't know any difference to what the way the show was. I knew what the show was when I was going in. And then they put that as the headline, the journalist question as the headline. Like I'd said it and I hadn't said it and they wouldn't take it down. So I would just like to clear that up. I am in no way a sore.
Joanne McNally
Loser, but it was. I mean, it is.
Vogue Williams
It.
Joanne McNally
It does, you know, have an impact for sure. If your own country can't get behind you, it's racist.
Literally, the definition of racism.
Well, just so you know, I did three shows in Belfast while you were relaxing in the jungle in the waterfront hall. And on two them, I asked them to vote for you.
Vogue Williams
So you heard them.
Joanne McNally
I didn't because they were a bit sleepy, but I.
Vogue Williams
You didn't do for the third one. That's my mate. That's your fault. Thanks a lot for nothing. You couldn't wait till I got it. You just couldn't let me have my moment.
Joanne McNally
I tried to rally Northern Ireland folk. I tried to organize a bus to get all the women from Dublin to drive up to Belfast so we could go in the piss for the day, involved for you and drive back down. I did my best.
Vogue Williams
You did a very good job. And I loved your letter.
Joanne McNally
Oh, you liked my letter? Yeah, yeah, yeah. I was thinking there was a moment in time where I was like, maybe they will redate my letter, you know, bit of crack. And then when I saw your emotional reaction to hearing Spencer's voice, I was like, can you imagine how upset she would have been if they'd actually played mine over her whole songs?
Vogue Williams
Honestly, I was wondering, I wonder who's going to write me the letter. And then for a brief moment, because I was so desperate to hear how the kids were and how Spenny was, for a brief moment I was like, what if they've gotten Joanne to write one and she won't even mention them and I won't know how anyone is.
Joanne McNally
We're so lucky they went with your husband, because I would only be. I would have been dying to have my letter read out. And then I would have had to have watched you sob with sadness with every line.
Vogue Williams
What about the kids, Joanne? Tell me about the kids.
Joanne McNally
Thank you to everyone who has tagged us in your Spotify rap so far. We really appreciate it, we love them. It, it's great to be involved. Thank you. I just accidentally shared my listening podcast. Well, no, I intentionally shared my listening edge. Oh, my list.
Vogue Williams
Podcast one. I was like, oh, great. No therapist for us there. Not that you just.
Joanne McNally
Well, I don't listen to myself. I'm not a megalomaniac.
Where my listening age. I don't know how to take this. I'm a 42 year old woman. My listening age according to Spotify is 21.
Vogue Williams
John, your music taste is like, I've never, I walked into your apartment before and I was like, what? It's questionable what is she listening to?
Joanne McNally
But I don't, I'm not a big museo. But the, my podcast ratings were like, I think that's just my most recent ones. No, because I only listen to those series. But those two series, Noble and Wisecrack, I only just listened to them. Like, I've listened to loads of podcast series during the year. I listen to Sea of Lies, which is a true crime, one which I love, and that had like 12 episodes. So I don't really know how they gauge it.
Vogue Williams
Guess what my listening age is.
Joanne McNally
70, 50. Oh, yeah, that makes sense.
Vogue Williams
It doesn't make sense because, well, now my top song was Anya Echoes in Rain. Because I went through a real like, bad phase of that where I could not stop listening to it. But, and then this is Halloween. But that is, that is, that's because the kids. But like, it's a lot of. It's because of the kids.
Joanne McNally
My, my, my mate just text me saying her listing age is 83.
Vogue Williams
What? She must be a big Bob Dylan fan. Big Bob Dylan, yeah.
Joanne McNally
RIP Bob.
God love you. Did you know VO killed you off years ago, Bob?
Vogue Williams
That's how rude it starts.
Joanne McNally
You'll be devastated to hear the news. Oh my. So and this is this again. I think this is like my most recent. My, my.
Vogue Williams
Do you have your listening hours? Because mine is always unusually high, but I don't go anywhere without listening to music. I constantly have music in my ears, so I can understand why mine is what it is.
Joanne McNally
My audiobook.
Oh, the one on my top is Deadly Silence. Do you remember the one by Jacqueline Connolly that I listened to, which I've been telling everyone about? I, I, I thoroughly enjoyed it, even though it's good.
Vogue Williams
Tell me, what are your listening hours? Did you do listening hours?
Joanne McNally
How do I get into it again?
Vogue Williams
Go on to Spotify and go into Spotify.
Joanne McNally
Spotify Wrapped. Yeah, 2025 and Music Stories. Okay.
Vogue Williams
Look for your music, your Listing Hours, minutes.
Joanne McNally
Listened.
Vogue Williams
Okay, go on.
Joanne McNally
I think they're. I think they're adding it up now because nothing's happening.
22, 2, 22. 88.
Vogue Williams
You're gonna think I'm a psycho. Mine is 174. 292.
I listen to music all the time. I can't stop. I also listen to white noise at night, actually. I listen to white noise at night.
Joanne McNally
Oh, that's where. That's probably where you're cracking a lot of that up, then.
Vogue Williams
Yeah, actually. Yeah, that is. I did. I did think it was. It was like 121 days. I'm like. I'm sure I take some off during the day.
Joanne McNally
21 days.
Vogue Williams
I know. I do. I. I always listen to music, though. I do. I don't like going anywhere alone.
Joanne McNally
And that's a lot of time. Out of your own thoughts for a play.
Vogue Williams
I'm never in this head on my own. There's. There's like. It's never just me.
Joanne McNally
See, I'm. I. I'd say my YouTube listening is, you know, the way I listen to these weird documentaries to help me fall asleep. So I think you're where I'm clocking up a lot of time on YouTube, I would say. But, yeah, I'm not a muso. I'm not a muso. I like voices. I like stories and stuff. I'm not big into music, which is.
Vogue Williams
I'm a big music fan. And I'm also really into my books. I'm already back on the books. Since I've been back. What did you miss most? What did you miss most? In the jungle?
Joanne McNally
My literature Vogue invented books. Do you hear the news? Fog invented books.
Vogue Williams
God, it's so nice to be back. I feel like I'm in real life.
The books.
Joanne McNally
She loves a bit of book chat.
Vogue Williams
I absolutely. I can't get enough of the learning.
Joanne McNally
Do you know what, Chris? There's the Christmas vibe is hit. I am dying for Christmas. I've never been so excited. I don't know why. I feel like it hasn't been Christmas for four years, even though I know it's every year, but I am buzzing.
Vogue Williams
Are you Patrick now? For a little while.
Joanne McNally
I'm finished on the. No, I'm finished on the 12th. Pat's. I'm gonna help Pop put up her Christmas stick later.
We're gonna get the stick down, wrap the tree, wrap the lights around it. Hey, presto. Christmas has arrived in paths.
Vogue Williams
The day's gone.
Joanne McNally
That's it.
Vogue Williams
All day's gone. The day will be gone.
Joanne McNally
We'll have the mince buyers out there.
Vogue Williams
Okay, well, I'm going now. It's bedtime for me. I can't. I'm gonna be home soon. I'll be able to see you next week, and I'm excited for it.
Joanne McNally
We should do one in studio before Christmas. Also, we need to have our Christmas party.
Vogue Williams
I don't know if I want to have a Christmas party before Christmas, because, remember, we did it before Christmas last time and I got the flu. I can't risk that. If I'm gonna get flu, I'd rather do it in January.
Joanne McNally
Sorry. You had the flu when we recorded the thing, do you remember? I was in a boob tube and you're wearing, like, three duffel coats, and we didn't suspect that there was anything wrong with you at all.
Vogue Williams
I just was like, why is she not cold?
Joanne McNally
You're, like, shivering in the corner. It was desperate flew going around. Covert is back. It's all go. It is all go.
Vogue Williams
I got the flu job. Don't hate me. I know some people don't like jobs. Well, I got it, and I feel. I feel very comfortable going out and about now. So I'm. I'm protected as much as I can be. Everyone, thank you, by the way, for everyone being so sound when I was in the jungle. I'm still getting messages now, and I'm like, it's. It's actually. It's because you do have that fear. You're like, oh, my God, I hope everyone likes me when I go out. I was even like, I hope my family still love me. I'm out of bed.
Joanne McNally
Would you do it again? Would you do it again?
Vogue Williams
I would, Yeah, I would.
Joanne McNally
What?
I don't know if I believe you.
Vogue Williams
Well, do you know what? I really. I'm glad I had the experience. I think it was really.
It was like an endurance test in a kind of way. It was really brilliant. I'd love to go back and do it again now. Like, just go, like, reverse time and go and do it again now.
Joanne McNally
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Vogue Williams
You know what I mean? Because I wouldn't want to not do it. Yeah. I wouldn't want to not do it because it is such a great experience. And everyone was so nice. Like, there's just everyone. There's 700 people that work on the crew, and there's so many nice people. And you're. You're so well looked after. And. And. And like. And I've, like, I've just made loads of nice friends. It's it's, it's great.
Joanne McNally
Who do you think will win?
Vogue Williams
Ho. Change is gonna win. Okay, well, now, in fairness, I didn't call Ruby coming out today.
Joanne McNally
Really?
Vogue Williams
Yeah. Didn't call that at all. Sorry for me.
Joanne McNally
No offense to Martin Kemp, but how has he survived over Ruby Wax? Has he even done a trial yet?
Vogue Williams
What the did you just say? How did he survive over Ruby Wax? Excuse me. What about me, Joanne? You forgot about me pretty quickly.
Joanne McNally
Sorry. It did feel like Ruby was going to get to the final.
Vogue Williams
No, I thought Ruby. I thought Ruby was going to be in the final. Yeah, I definitely thought Ruby was going to be in the final. He's a really gentle man, but he's quiet. Yeah.
Joanne McNally
Come here. Riddle me this. What happened to your leg?
Vogue Williams
Okay, so when we were in the jungle, we were bored, so we were always making up games. And when we got to go out, like when you're going to do a trial or a challenge, you had to cross these bridges. And the bridges were quite bouncy and were just full metal bridges with like netting along the side. And so we, we were racing ourselves to try and see if we could get our time down. And someone had got 36 seconds. So I was like, I'm gonna run. And so I basically ran and then I tripped and fell on the bridge and I took a big gouge out of my knee. But then when I crossed, there was a doctor there and I went straight to the trial. Straight to the trial. I want a trooper.
Joanne McNally
Yeah, like a trooper. Hardcore. You'd be great in the military.
Vogue Williams
No, I don't. I think maybe say that to the winner of the show.
Joanne McNally
No, sing it to you.
Vogue Williams
Third.
Joanne McNally
You make a badge like a soldier. Like there's. You know what I mean? You're well trained, you run a tight ship. You're military, I think.
Vogue Williams
Yeah, I would like that. But I, I think I prefer this job. So I'll stay here maybe.
Joanne McNally
Yeah, I think so.
Vogue Williams
Everyone, See you later. Thanks a million. Thank you so much.
Joanne McNally
I love you so much. Welcome home to Australia, you know what I mean?
Vogue Williams
I'll be home next week.
Joanne McNally
Did you plug this? Did you plug my Australian tour in the jungle? I didn't hear. I didn't hear any word of it.
Vogue Williams
Joanne. I've been non stop flyering out there. I'm in the Gold coast and I'm like flyering up and down the whole time. Everyone gets up at half five in the morning and I'm out there before them at five o' clock with a box of flocks wires.
Joanne McNally
Okay. Okay.
Vogue Williams
And the 3Arena the 12th. 12th December 2026 for the 3 3.
Joanne McNally
Also, there's a London Apollo left still. Tickets left for the 15th February 2026 for my last London Apollo show.
Vogue Williams
This has been a global player original production.
