Sophie Lang
Happy birthday, sweet pea. I love you so much.
Jamie Lang
Oh, there's balloons everywhere by the way, for everyone in podcast land. Podcast land. There's. It spells out Daddy.
Sophie Lang
Daddy.
Jamie Lang
Oh my God. There's a balloons but with it that says daddy.
Sophie Lang
Yeah. Do you like it?
Jamie Lang
Oh my God, I love that.
Sophie Lang
Daddy, I love you.
Jamie Lang
I love you, honey.
Sophie Lang
Ladies and gentlemen, welcome, welcome, welcome to a very special episode. It is my husband Jamie's Birthday. And we love him so much and we're so grateful. And you're the best person in the whole entire world.
Jamie Lang
That is a really lovely thing.
Eleanor Grace (Psychic)
Oh, good.
Sophie Lang
I'm so glad.
Jamie Lang
Why don't we sing a little bit of Happy Birthday?
Sophie Lang
Happy birthday to you that's all you get from me.
Jamie Lang
You want to hear mine? This is how. This is how I was here. I'm actually. Mine is pitch perfect before we even begin the episode. Happy birthday to you Happy birthday to.
Eleanor Grace (Psychic)
You why don't you sing to the.
Sophie Lang
Baby in your American Voice? Happy birthday to you before we start.
Jamie Lang
We were singing Happy Birthday because it's my birthday. And Magda, our wonderful producer, has a hidden talent. I don't think things even hidden. Magda, can you just give a little, little bit of that. That those pipes over there just quickly.
Sophie Lang
Right, let me warm up again.
Jamie Lang
There she is. Listen to this, everyone.
Sophie Lang
Happy birthday to you Happy birthday to you Happy birthday, dear Jamie Happy birthday to you.
Jamie Lang
It's just unbelievable. It's just unbelievable.
Sophie Lang
I have an idea.
Jamie Lang
That's how talented our team is.
Sophie Lang
I have an idea. We could cut out all of that and make that sound like that was me.
Jamie Lang
No, you can't steal people's talents.
Sophie Lang
I can't?
Jamie Lang
No, you cannot.
Sophie Lang
Oh, my God, Magda, you're amazing at singing. Love you, girl. I will say that when I was younger, doing the. When I. When I did musicals at school, they once wanted me to do. Be a main role, but they were going to get someone else to sing and I was gonna mime it.
Jamie Lang
Sorry, like what?
Sophie Lang
But when I also learned guitar, which Jamie finds hilarious, because my mum came to the school and said, I want my girls to learn guitar. And the school said, we don't teach guitar here. And my mum said, well, why don't you? And they said, well, we don't have enough students who want to learn guitar. So my mum signed up as one of the students so that they would have. I think it was five students to get a teacher in to learn guitar. And. And at one point she got asked to sort of like, promote the guitar lessons. And she got up an assembly and, you know, I'm like 8 years old, and she messes up and she goes in front of everyone, oh, and I'm eight and at that. But it's blasphemy. I look around all the teachers like, and I thought right at that moment, please, God, just cover me up. Anyway, when we.
Jamie Lang
Did you want your mom to die in that moment?
Sophie Lang
No, I wanted to die myself. I remember thinking, no, that she basically, she was like. And it went wrong. She went, oh, dead silence. The oldest people were like 11. And we. Everyone goes and looks at me and I'm like, mom. He said.
Jamie Lang
Then it's like whenever anyone said bloody, you thought it was like. If someone said bloody at school, you.
Sophie Lang
Were like, yeah, shut up. Was quite bad as well. She like, shut up. Anyway, we then had carol service. I'm in the guitar. I'm in the guitar team.
Jamie Lang
Sorry, you're sounding like you're saying the country.
Sophie Lang
I know. Well, yeah, you say celebrate instead of celebrate. Do I call you. I understand. It's called guitar. It was a slip of the tongue. You little face.
Jamie Lang
Say guitar again.
Sophie Lang
Guitar. Okay, listen, so we're in carol service, we're in the church, it's Christmas, okay? And the guitar team are getting on it. And we've learned this, this piece. And I've learned it. I've learned it. I've learned it. I've learned it. Just before I go on, she goes, right, you. I was small, so you're going to be in the front. But don't play. Just pretend you're playing. And I was like, what? I'm not kidding you. I. I swear on my left, my sister's also. I think my sister might have been asked to do the same. I'm not joking. The two of us had to thing. It was like. It was like, what a m. At school. What's a Silent Night? We were just like playing, like. And obviously I was like 8, so I was so obviously my mum was like, were you not playing afterwards? I was like, she told me not to. God, our poor kid.
Jamie Lang
Oh my God, that's hilarious. Did you ever. Did you ever win any awards at school?
Sophie Lang
No. I got Miss Charisma. I got sash that said Miss Charisma. I You not. I'm not kidding you. I don't know where that sash came from. I think they bought it just for me. I don't really know what happened there. I got a sash and I wore it on my last day of school saying Miss Charisma. I think they felt bad that I should have had something in my whole, you know, what, how old, say 16 years of school days. So they thought, we've just got to give this girl something. So they bought me a sash.
Jamie Lang
And they gave you Miss Charisma?
Sophie Lang
Yeah. I'll never forget it. It was white. A sash.
Jamie Lang
Wow, that's pretty cool.
Sophie Lang
Did you win loads?
Jamie Lang
I won loads. Yeah, I won. Well, I did. I just. You asked me the question. I Won loads.
Sophie Lang
Yeah, I do. Can I say something I do often listen to? Like if you've done podcasts or interviews, I will listen because I am actually very supportive and I listen to everything you do. You mention your. Your sporting capability. I really love you and I. I mean this with all the tenderness in the world. I don't know if we can keep mentioning that you were good at what we at school.
Jamie Lang
Yes, I can.
Sophie Lang
At 17 was the last time you played. I love you. I love you.
Jamie Lang
Sophie Lang
But you talk about it as though you are Johnny Wilkinson. You are the same standard I was.
Jamie Lang
I was God.
Sophie Lang
You never played for England.
Jamie Lang
Doesn't matter.
Sophie Lang
You never played for a team. It doesn't. You played for your school.
Jamie Lang
Yeah. And I was a God. I was unbelievable. Sophie, I need you to understand something. I need you to understand this. Okay. You need to. Do you understand what a school record is?
Sophie Lang
Yes.
Jamie Lang
Okay.
Sophie Lang
I broke the school record.
Jamie Lang
If you go onto the school record at my school, under 10's javelin. So 9 years old, under doesn't matter. Under 10's javelin. Look who still holds the record. I'm going to give you one guess. He's sitting next to you.
Sophie Lang
I don't think they have a record for under 10 javelin still. And they do. You are not the same person.
Jamie Lang
Should I get it up?
Sophie Lang
It won't be on the there.
Jamie Lang
It's on their website. Yes, it is. They have all the school records. 100 meters, all these things. The oldest standing record I held in 2000. And it's the under tens javelin.
Sophie Lang
And it's still this and it's still the same.
Jamie Lang
I held it. I'm 34 meters. I threw it.
Sophie Lang
Okay, well, while done. I'm really proud of you with the javelin. Are you gonna make our chart?
Eleanor Grace (Psychic)
A play.
Sophie Lang
Traveling.
Jamie Lang
Guess how far I threw the cricket.
Sophie Lang
Traveling. When you hit a stick, you throw a little poker into the air. I don't think we did that at my school. You had. That was like. I think that was.
Jamie Lang
Throw a little poker.
Sophie Lang
It's actually so rogue. Like, it's such a safety hazard. Right.
Jamie Lang
I'm gonna run through some. I'm gonna run through some athletic sports and you have to say what they are.
Sophie Lang
Yeah.
Jamie Lang
Okay, here we go. Hammer throw.
Sophie Lang
Throw a hammer. Do you guys hammer through your school?
Jamie Lang
Because I know you think the hammer throw is when you throw a hammer, that it's an Olympic sport.
Sophie Lang
No, I don't want to know that. I want to know school sports because I don't watch.
Jamie Lang
That's an Olympic sport. It's a school sport as well.
Sophie Lang
Yes, your school. You did hammer throwing?
Jamie Lang
Yes.
Sophie Lang
That's obscene.
Jamie Lang
Obviously we did it. Okay, here's another one.
Sophie Lang
Right, Pole vault, where you stick the pole in and you roll over the pole. Oh, that's long jump, isn't it? Is that long jump?
Jamie Lang
This is unbelievable. Okay, here we go. Steeple chase.
Sophie Lang
You're taking the piss.
Jamie Lang
No, I'm not taking the piss. What's the steeple chase?
Sophie Lang
Oh, when you, the ladder's on the sand and you go in and out, in and out, in and out.
Jamie Lang
You think that's an Olympic sport?
Sophie Lang
Well, darn. Break dancing is an Olympics.
Jamie Lang
Well, fair enough. Okay, I'm gonna keep going.
Sophie Lang
Heptathlon, a marathon or something with a hectagon that you pass. An eight sided shape is a hectic.
Jamie Lang
Oh God, no.
Sophie Lang
That's an octagon.
Jamie Lang
What is the triple. Triple jump?
Sophie Lang
Jump. Jump. And you jump one more time.
Jamie Lang
Into what?
Sophie Lang
Sandpit. It's always a sandpit. Okay, right, today it's a big episode. Your birthday. How do you feel about being 37?
Jamie Lang
Can I say another really funny thing that happened? So obviously we're in the later.
Sophie Lang
Anything to do with bows, they're off the rack.
Jamie Lang
It's nothing to do with bows. Okay, we're getting into the later weeks of Sophie being pregnant and the tummy becomes quite heavy. That's what you've been telling me. So the only comfortable position Sophie can get into is when she goes on all fours on the bed. So the belly hangs down and you just look like a cow.
Sophie Lang
That wasn't even comfortable. But I was in so much pain because I feel like there's so little room. Like I, I, it's really painful actually. I will just say putting out. There it is. And I was like, I don't know what to do. And somebody, my reflexologist, she told me that if I go on all fours, the belly drops and the baby will have some more room and like the pressure won't be too much. And so I got on all fours and Jamie just hysterically laughed, had to leave the room and I just didn't care. As I was there naked with my.
Jamie Lang
Odders touching the bed, Sophie was going, I'm in. So Jamie, I'm in so much pain. And I was like, I don't know what to do. And she was like, wait, wait. And it was like, it was like trying to move the earth. She was like this, wait.
Sophie Lang
Wait.
Jamie Lang
And then you got on.
Sophie Lang
I didn't like open my legs up very ladily, like.
Jamie Lang
Oh God, it was good.
Sophie Lang
Doesn't make it feel any better.
Jamie Lang
Man, I love you so much. I'm so proud of you. Okay.
Sophie Lang
So much.
Jamie Lang
Jam pack day, baby. You tell me.
Sophie Lang
We've got a jam packed day. We've got some presents for you.
Jamie Lang
Thank you so much.
Sophie Lang
And I really thought long and hard about them and I know that you're a really good present giver, so I hope that you're gonna like these.
Jamie Lang
Are you serious? Yeah, I'm really excited for this. Like, I think one of my love languages is being is receiving gifts.
Sophie Lang
You change your love language every week.
Jamie Lang
Well, it's.
Sophie Lang
It's affirmations, it's acts of service, it's gifts. What is? Every single one.
Jamie Lang
I don't need so much personal touch.
Sophie Lang
Yeah, I know, but I do. So I don't know if we're that compatible in that area because I like personal touch and you don't.
Jamie Lang
I. I personal touch you every night.
Sophie Lang
For half a second.
Jamie Lang
That is the biggest lie in the. I do it every single night.
Sophie Lang
So prezzies.
Jamie Lang
Okay.
Sophie Lang
And here is your first person.
Jamie Lang
Well, thank you very much.
Sophie Lang
With my face.
Jamie Lang
Sophie's face is on it with her tongue sticking out. All right, I'm going to open this up. Here we go. Here we go, everyone. Right. Opening it up as I go. It's like a long cylinder thing. And I opened up and it's anal bleach. I mean, honestly, like what?
Sophie Lang
But listen.
Jamie Lang
Anal bleach.
Sophie Lang
But listen, you got me a little bit of that. You got me vaginal cream. Yes. And so I thought if you want me to tighten my vagina, you can bleach your anus with aloe vera as well. So it's very soothing and it won't hurt your piles.
Jamie Lang
Can I just understand why you want me to bleach my anus?
Sophie Lang
I have to see that anus all the time.
Jamie Lang
When are you looking at my anus?
Sophie Lang
You constantly just roly poly with your butthole out.
Jamie Lang
So you want me to. I'm actually quite intrigued to see what it looks like.
Sophie Lang
Me too. I'm fucking fascinated.
Jamie Lang
You really want me to bleach my butthole?
Sophie Lang
I would like you to try it and then maybe I'll do it too.
Jamie Lang
Okay, I'm opening up this one. Wow. Okay, here we go. Opening up this.
Sophie Lang
And we did it turquoise because it's your favorite color.
Jamie Lang
I love turquoise. It is my favorite color. And this is. Here we go. You've bought me a flashlight and I.
Sophie Lang
Wanted to see your reaction. And it's more of a test because if you do use that, we will get divorced.
Jamie Lang
But why did you buy it for me?
Sophie Lang
I didn't. The team suggested it because they thought you'd like it. And so I thought, well, we can get it for you. And if you seem excited by it.
Jamie Lang
Why has it been open? Ewan's been using this. Yui's been using this. He's been bleaching his asshole while using this. I know. It's like, what on this is. This is it.
Sophie Lang
Does that bring about memories?
Jamie Lang
This is a flesh light. Hold on. So. Oh, my God. Look at that. It's a mo.
Sophie Lang
What? What? How does that work?
Jamie Lang
Okay, well, do you want me to explain it to you? So if anyone listening that you open.
Sophie Lang
It up, you are joking.
Jamie Lang
And you. You hold that on it, you lubricate.
Sophie Lang
Up that dildo for a man, and.
Jamie Lang
Then you have sex with that hole.
Sophie Lang
But where do you stick it? Do you stick it on a wall or something?
Jamie Lang
You don't. I don't think you can stick it on a wall. Oh, wait, hang on. There's something on the end here. I'm unscrewing it. Nope, that's just where you empty out stuff. Would you be upset if you came into the room? I was using that.
Sophie Lang
I don't think we'd be here. The podcast will be over.
Jamie Lang
Don't just throw it at me now. Okay, so you're buying me these presents, and now I'm in trouble.
Sophie Lang
The team bought you that one.
Jamie Lang
How am I being bought them? And I'm now in trouble about it? Okay, last one. Here we go. All right.
Sophie Lang
Oh.
Jamie Lang
It'S a hat.
Sophie Lang
It's a hat.
Jamie Lang
Oh, my God.
Sophie Lang
How cute is that?
Jamie Lang
That's the cutest thing I've ever seen in my life. Look at that.
Sophie Lang
Hey, dad.
Jamie Lang
Hey, Mom.
Sophie Lang
Everyone's saying mom, mom and dad.
Jamie Lang
That's the cutest. Honey, thank you so much.
Sophie Lang
Love you so much.
Jamie Lang
No, I love you so much.
Sophie Lang
What, are you excited that you're 37?
Jamie Lang
I'm really excited. I'm excited for our next. I'm excited to, you know, go into this next chapter. I'm excited for our baby to arrive. I'm excited for everything about it.
Sophie Lang
Yeah, it's very fun time now.
Jamie Lang
I. It's the best time. You kidding me? It's like the most exciting time ever. I'm excited for everything. I've also got a bone to pick with you.
Sophie Lang
Tell me, what's the bone? You.
Jamie Lang
You were the angriest you've ever been. The other night with me, when we were lying in bed, Because I'm going to put it out there. I farted.
Sponsor/Ad Voice
No.
Sophie Lang
And I'm embarrassed for you to even write.
Jamie Lang
I'm not embarrassed. I need to understand why your anger got out there. You were so cross at me.
Sophie Lang
Guys, it was nearly a divorce. And I'll tell you what happened over a fart. Such horrific nausea in this time. I don't know why anyone thinks it's acceptable to make pregnant people at this stage get it back. I mean, surely not.
Jamie Lang
So it just comes back.
Sophie Lang
Don't act like you don't know, because if you don't, then I honestly hate you because it's all I talk to you about and you're. You constantly just ignore me. I know you don't listen to me when I say I feel sick.
Eleanor Grace (Psychic)
I do.
Sophie Lang
Anyway, I'm lying in bed and it really hits me at night time, like when I lie down. Like, I feel like I'm gonna chanter all night long. And I suddenly. The duvet goes and I am with my mouth open, whopped in the face with what I can only describe as sewage mixed with baby poo mixed with a farmyard. It was a farmyard. I had gone to Hatton Country World and I was in the farmyar stank. And I was like, you cannot be serious. Did you just fart? And you were like, I'm so sorry. And I was like, I literally was just telling you how sick I felt. And by the way, guys, I then threw up. I then threw up and had to call the hospital because it was so scary. I was so worried. I don't. It's weird throwing up at this stage of pregnancy. We got a baby, a full baby inside you. That's because of your fart. I went to the loo.
Jamie Lang
You can't lie.
Sophie Lang
I vomited.
Jamie Lang
You got my fart.
Sophie Lang
And you felt bad because you were like, oh, sh. You're just nor. It's just nausea. I was like, yeah, but that fart smell has sent me completely onto the scale of not nausea. Now I am absolutely going to project our vomit. And lo and behold, I did an hour later because I swallowed your shit. Anyway, I should be nice to you, right?
Jamie Lang
Go on. Why don't you give a little speech on my birthday?
Sophie Lang
I could try a poem.
Jamie Lang
Go and try it now. We'll do a poem for my birthday. Here we go.
Sophie Lang
Jamie Lang. He is quite paying. He also rides a bike because he doesn't like to hike. But when he eats lots of popcorn, he knows that he shan't scorn his employees because he respects them so much. Not as much as he respects the loo because he always likes to go and do a poo. I love you so much. You have such a sweet touch. You'll be the best dad even if you are a bit of a fan. I love you.
Jamie Lang
Unbelievable. Unbelievable. Well, on that note, ladies and gentlemen, on my birthday day, it's time for listeners.
Sophie Lang
Messages, messages. Did I talk too much?
Jamie Lang
Can't I just let it go?

Sophie Lang
Okay, I've got one from Hattie. I'm so excited for you both to embark on this incredible next chapter. I had my beautiful baby girl last week. It's been a whirlwind and completely life changing, but in the best way. Congratulations. I feel so grateful and in awe of this tiny little person. But one thing I don't think new moms are fully prepared for is just how intense those few weeks postpartum can be. You're in the most magical baby bubble, but it can also be incredibly tough mentally. My labor was long, but I have no complaints and felt well looked after throughout. However, those first few nights in hospital after giving birth was so much harder than I expected. You think you'll be too exhausted to do anything but sleep, but instead you're wired, checking your baby every five minutes to make sure she's okay. I think I had about an hour's sleep in total in the first few few days. When I finally got home, I cried. And I cried partly from relief, partly from sheer exhaustion and this overwhelming sense of love and responsibility for this perfect little person. It made me realize how little we're told what to expect immediately after birth as new parents, particularly mothers. Despite the challenges, it's also worth it. And I wouldn't change it for the world. These quiet, sleepless nights of my little girl curled up on my chest are everything like, keep doing what you're doing. It's been keeping me. And I'm sure so many other new parents smiling and laughing. Well done, you freaking legend. And that is so sweet. Please send a photo of your little girl.
Jamie Lang
I love that.
Sophie Lang
So sweet. Congratulations.
Jamie Lang
Congratulations. Okay, I've got one for you. Ready?
Sophie Lang
Yeah.
Jamie Lang
It's from Anonymous. Here we go. I've been debating telling this story, but I thought it was too funny and embarrassing not to tell. During my first year of uni, I met my first boyfriend. One thing led to another, as they do, and I lost my virginity with him midway through our first time having sex.
Sophie Lang
I'M Scout.
Jamie Lang
He pointed at my asshole and said, what the fuck is that? Panicked and extremely confused, I replied, it's my asshole. However, on closer inspection, I realized that in fact I had developed some kind of giant skin tag. I was mortified. I honestly couldn't even look him in the eye. But thankfully he thought it was hilarious. So I went to the doctor, as you do, and the nurse asked how long I'd had the tag. So I stupidly told her the whole story. I didn't think anything of it. A few weeks later, I met my boyfriend's family for the first time. Walking through the door, I had the shock realization that the nurse that had looked at my asshole was in fact my new boyfriend's mum.
Sophie Lang
You're fucking. You'd can't write this. There's no way Safe to say that.
Jamie Lang
Dinner was very awkward. It's still, to this day never been brought up. But every time I see her, I lose a little more dignity that I almost like.
Sophie Lang
Is that real? Because that is so.
Jamie Lang
Why would someone write in and make that up?
Sophie Lang
Are you sure it's a skin tag? Or is that not just a hemorrhoid? Is that not what you'd call it? Like a big pile poking out?
Jamie Lang
I have no idea, but I like that story. Okay, you tell me one. Go.
Sophie Lang
Okay, I have a pregnancy story from Anonymous. I'm such a huge fan and have followed you both since your maiden Chelsea days. I'm so excited for your next chapter together as parents and can't wait for the new series. I met my husband in November 2021. It was a wild world romance and within three months I found out I was pregnant. We were both overjoyed. But at eight weeks I woke up with severe pain and was rushed to the hospital. Sadly, we found out it was an ectopic pregnancy and I have to have my right fallopian tube removed. My world completely shattered. We tried again, but over the next four years I suffered three ectopic pregnancies and five miscarriages. It broke us both emotionally and I truly thought our dream of becoming parents was over. Then in August 2025, when I'd almost lost hope, we found out I was pregnant again.
Jamie Lang
Let's go.
Sophie Lang
And this time it's a confirmed uterine pregnancy. We've seen such a strong heartbeat at every scan and I due for my 12 week scan on Monday. A little miracle is due in April 2026. I wanted to share this to remind anyone struggling that miracles really do happen. We're overjoyed, anxious, but Mostly grateful beyond words.
Jamie Lang
Come on, let's freaking go.
Sophie Lang
I'm so, so happy for you. And that's such a nice story for anyone else going through that, like to give people hope and everything.
Jamie Lang
I just want to say to all of you guys, thank you so much always for writing in your messages the ones that are personal, the ones that are funny, the ones that are, that you never share with anyone. We really just love it and appreciate and you guys simply rock.
Sophie Lang
You really do rock. And we're so happy for you. Congratulations. Love you.
Jamie Lang
We love you guys. Listen, remember to keep sending in those messages at Nearly Parents podcast on Instagram where you can send us an email nearly parents@jampodproductions.co.uk and that is the end of listeners messages. Guys, I'm just going to stop the episode there to talk about our incredible sponsors today, which are Mamas and Papas.
Sophie Lang
Mamas and Papas.
Jamie Lang
The destination for all your baby must haves. Sophie and I went there the other day to the shop and boy, oh boy, did we have a fun time.
Sophie Lang
It's the best experience ever. Firstly, the shop is so cozy. It's so warm. Everything you want to touch and put across your face because it's so snuggly and cozy.
Jamie Lang
I need to talk about my pram. I know I keep getting better.
Sophie Lang
It's not your pram. Well, because it's our baby's pram. But if anyone's pram, it's mine.
Jamie Lang
Okay, well, it's got these sick rims. I don't know if you notice there's rims on the, on the pram.
Sophie Lang
The pram is so easy. It's like, it's just, it's so great.
Jamie Lang
It folds up. And also in this experience, like I, I'm not the biggest shopper in the world, right? I don't like shopping that much. I'm more of just like a go out and play some tennis kind of guy.
Sophie Lang
You lot, you say that, but you are a shopper. You do love to shop.
Sponsor/Ad Voice
More.
Sophie Lang
More so than me?
Jamie Lang
What, are you kidding me?
Sophie Lang
Spend what, like three hours in there?
Jamie Lang
You love shopping.
Sophie Lang
No, I like online shopping. Okay, well, I also like online shopping. Mamas and Papas, they've got an app which is really come in handy for me.
Jamie Lang
But it was insane. We, the shop, we see everything. There's so much stuff there. And also we felt pretty under prepared before we went in. Now fully prepared with, oh, everything.
Sophie Lang
Every single thing from breast pumps to, to nappy bins to nappy changing mats to the Bath, the thing that you put in the bath to wash them there is everything. Moses basket, the Moses basket, the toys, the clothes. Every single thing is in Mamas and Papas, which is really good because it's a one stop destination and you get everything. Yeah.
Jamie Lang
Basia has everything. So if you are someone right now who is maybe going through the same experience that we're going through, go and check out Mamas and Papas because trust me, it is like heaven for babies. It's the greatest place I've ever been.
Sophie Lang
Look, the thing is when you, when you're pregnant with your farts, there's the lead up and it's like, when do we start buying things? And then it's like, what do we buy? And then there's a million different brands, there's a million different Moses baskets, and it's a lot. And you can get very overwhelmed. Well, that's why I've loved Mamas and Papas, because I've gone there and I've got everything all in one shop from one place. Thankfully for Mamas and Papas, they really do understand the new power and overwhelm and they just have the perfect solution. Yeah.
Jamie Lang
For everything.
Sophie Lang
For everything.
Jamie Lang
For literally everything. Also in Mamas and Papas, they have this thing called buying for baby appointments where basically you get an in store expert to take you around the whole store, which was actually incredibly convenient and very lovely.
Sophie Lang
And guess what? It's a free personalized shopping experience to help take care of all your baby must haves.
Jamie Lang
Yeah. Yeah. And also we. I thought we were going to argue. We didn't argue.
Sophie Lang
No, because we had that gorgeous lady. She showed us everything. It was so clear, it was so concise. It wasn't overwhelming.
Jamie Lang
Thank you very much.
Sophie Lang
It was. It was pretty amazing. I want to get back.
Jamie Lang
Thank you.
Sophie Lang
Mamas and Papas appointments are available in store and online.
Jamie Lang
And also the great news is, right, which we heard, is that if you spend over £1,000, there's no pressure to spend anything. But if you do spend over £1,000, you get a gift voucher. Okay. To do in store purchases, anything up to £450. Unbelievable.
Sophie Lang
Unbelievable. So save yourself the endless searches and scrolls and overwhelm.
Jamie Lang
Go and book yourself a Buying for baby appointment today to take care of all of your Newborn's needs, visit mamasandpapas.com or pop into a store to book yours.
Sophie Lang
So not over yet, honey.
Jamie Lang
Oh wait. The episode is still going to continue.
Sophie Lang
This episode is still going to continue. But first we have some voice notes for you for your birthday. Ready where we're gonna play them?
Jamie Lang
Happy birthday Langie. Sun is shining. Big day my brother.
Eleanor Grace (Psychic)
Big big day. Glorious year ahead.
Jamie Lang
I'm so incredibly proud of you mate.
Eleanor Grace (Psychic)
Honestly.
Jamie Lang
You are one of a kind my friend. A unicorn. Don't think I've ever told you that, but that's big. Listen man. Wishing you all the best for the year ahead. You're about to be a papa. The biggest greatest gift in the whole world. I love you man. Ya baby. Happy birthday my boy. I hope someone's got you a cake because today is going to be the last time for quite a few years that you're going to be able to blow out your own candles. Because from now on the pitter patter of little feet are going to intervene and blow them out for you. Lots of love. Happy birthday. Hello my friend. It's your Maka here sending you a happy birthday message from New York. What to say? Happy birthday. Another year goes by where you exceed what you achieved the year before. You never cease to amaze me on that front. And I remain as proud of you as ever. I can't believe this is your last birthday as a non daddy. And next birthday you'll be a dada. On that note I'm sad I'm not with pegs and woods because I'm in New York now. Have I already said that? But I'm gonna get them to send you a voice note too. Anyway, sending you all my love. A big happy birthday and yeah can't wait to see you soon. Bye.

Eleanor Grace (Psychic)
Happy birthday. Happy happy, happy birthday. And so much love. I can't believe you're as old as you are. That means I'm as old as I am. And it seems like yesterday you were in my arms.
Sophie Lang
Lots of love.
Eleanor Grace (Psychic)
I love you forever. Your mother.

Sponsor/Ad Voice
Bye.
Jamie Lang
Oh my.
Sophie Lang
Oh my God.
Jamie Lang
That's the sweetest thing I've ever heard.
Sophie Lang
That's the sweetest thing I've ever heard.
Jamie Lang
You're my sweet little goddaughter.
Sophie Lang
I can't have actually a little woody.
Jamie Lang
Honey, this has been the best Birthday ever. Thank you so much.
Sophie Lang
So, please. And then also tonight, you get a chicken pie.
Eleanor Grace (Psychic)
My God.
Jamie Lang
It's honestly just out of control. They're flying in left, right, and center.
Sophie Lang
I know. I spoil you. I'm too. I'm too.
Jamie Lang
And then the big thing is, is do I get a little bit lucky tonight?
Sophie Lang
No.
Jamie Lang
So do I use that flashlight?
Sophie Lang
No, the flashlight is staying firmly here. Anyway. Okay, now, this is a very fun thing.
Jamie Lang
Okay.
Sophie Lang
Okay. So I, by the way, to all.
Jamie Lang
You listeners, I have no idea what's going on today. Normally, I'm in the know, but today.
Sophie Lang
I don't know, because Jamie and I both love to have our palms red and psychic readings. And of course, our very dear friend Fingal, who we went to for so long and trusted so much with all of that, passed away.
Jamie Lang
I know.
Sophie Lang
And I know that you've been looking to have a psychic reading.
Jamie Lang
Yeah, yeah, that's very true.
Sophie Lang
And we've missed Finkel so much. So I've found an amazing person called Eleanor Grace.
Jamie Lang
Are you serious?
Sophie Lang
And she's gonna come on today because I feel like you would like to know what's in store for this next chapter of life.
Jamie Lang
That's insane. Yeah, I would love that.
Sophie Lang
So welcome Eleanor Grace.
Jamie Lang
Okay, so what do I need to do?
Eleanor Grace (Psychic)
First of all, I will hold your hand. Okay, so what's unusual here about you? You're going to be quite secretive, I think, over the next six months. But you're plotting, planning, scheming, and you're discovering new. New things that are there for you. So it's like new beginnings for you. And there are three of them. There are three major areas. One is in March. So we'll give you March 26th. That's a really important key time for you. And you'll have to make decisions, and you will also have to let something go that you've been involved in and begin again. So it's starting a new chapter in your life. But it's not just about family and circumstances with regard to who you love and children and everything that are close to you. This is about a bigger event. This is your career. So there's more happening March, April, in your career. Are you connected to America now? I mean, is that something that you're considering opening up?
Jamie Lang
Well, we've been thinking about that, yeah.
Eleanor Grace (Psychic)
Well, you will do. I mean, that's a definite because that's one of these little pots here. But you do have to watch for somebody called. I don't know if you know him at all.
Jamie Lang
Do you what that's the most nuts thing I've ever heard in my entire life.
Eleanor Grace (Psychic)
Oh, dear. Who is he?
Sophie Lang
Goosebumps all over me.
Jamie Lang
That's the most nuts thing I've ever heard in my life. I can't actually say who that is, but that's okay.
Eleanor Grace (Psychic)
All right, well, I'm just going to say you have to be a little careful. Not, nothing wrong with him, nothing wrong with you, but just be a little careful around negotiations or things that you may say, things that you may not really want to expose. Okay? So if you can. I mean, look, I know you've got your head.
Sophie Lang
I have tears in my eyes. That's the wildest thing I've ever experienced in my life.
Eleanor Grace (Psychic)
Okay, well, that's why I'm a psychic.
Jamie Lang
I know, but that's truly nuts. That's the most insane thing I've ever.
Sophie Lang
Had in my life. Oh. And then I.
Eleanor Grace (Psychic)
So you've gone all hot.
Sophie Lang
I, like, got tears. That was so insane.
Jamie Lang
That is insane.
Eleanor Grace (Psychic)
Okay, well, I know that it's your birthday coming up, but this is almost like a birthday present for you. This little message of, you know, don't be too prescriptive about what you're saying and, you know. But you're gonna get exactly what you want. But I do feel you've got to have a hard hat on, you know, sort of bit like a. Do you go racing? Do you like Formula One?
Jamie Lang
I like Formula one, yeah.
Eleanor Grace (Psychic)
It's a bit like that. I can see. So I feel that you're going to be meeting people from Formula one quite soon. That does seem to be quite an event, and that you're involved in that world as well. But I can see you with the hard hat in the car, so that's a treat, you know, it's really an amazing treat for you. Shall we just have a look into your hand now and see what the lines are in your hand?
Jamie Lang
Because this is totally nuts.
Eleanor Grace (Psychic)
Very, very long life that you have. So, you know, you've got plenty of time to do everything. I'm not saying at all that your life will slow down in any way, because it won't. It is about to speed up. I just want to, if I can.
Jamie Lang
Yeah, of course.
Eleanor Grace (Psychic)
Turn your hand around to the right. Okay. So this is just going to give me marriages and love interest as well, which we know all about. What you have here in your hand is that it's taken you quite a long time, really, to find the love that you have. There were many mistakes and, you know, some difficult obstacles to overcome. Most of Those, I think were your own self confidence. I don't know why you didn't feel confident about yourself, but that was when you were younger. It's about competition that you didn't feel as though you were valued enough or in the right place at the right time. But I think a feeling that other people beat you to it, you know, that maybe your contemporaries at school, at college or, you know, sort of higher education, but it wasn't pleasant. I'm not, not feeling that it was, you know, great. So the love of your life is with you now and always will be. It's a really long relationship that is. Bears fruit all the time. There's like the pear tree, you know, it's. It's there.
Jamie Lang
So we're going to be together forever.
Eleanor Grace (Psychic)
Yeah.
Jamie Lang
Good luck. So that's you locked in, honey.
Eleanor Grace (Psychic)
But you give him space, don't you? So.
Jamie Lang
Yeah, she does.
Eleanor Grace (Psychic)
You know she does. Yeah, you give him space. He needs that.
Jamie Lang
Absolutely mad. You're just telling me like you know me.
Eleanor Grace (Psychic)
Yeah, I do. I'm holding your hand. There are three children here in your hand. There are three. I'll check Sophie's, but I. I feel that they're all quite close together as well. Have a look into the crystal. Hold the crystal ball. Okay, so is there something that you're wishing for at the moment? Because I feel as though there is.
Jamie Lang
The main thing I always wish for is Sophie and our baby is happy, healthy, safe and content.
Eleanor Grace (Psychic)
Yeah, well, they will be. They will be. This is about you, though. You're getting on a plane quite soon. Are you flying somewhere into. If you're not physically going into a plane, if you haven't planned that, then this is really quite symbolic because when I see planes in a crystal ball, it is all about. It's your time. It's not about Sophie and the baby. It is about you. So it's about. Although that's part of it, but this is also about how you are responding to that responsibility. This is wild. Yeah. So just going to. A little bit more back to your hand. Because holding your hand is really the most important part of a reading because it will connect you to me in your hand. I was saying to you, very long life. You've also got bracelets here in your wrist. And these represent. There's three of them. They represent another decade each. So you've got 70 years in your hand. You've got another 30 in the bracelet. So that's 100 years of life in your hand. As long as you don't do anything Silly. Also, I see here fabulous heart line. It's connected very strongly to your lifeline. That makes you very sexy man. And I knew it all the time.
Jamie Lang
I know, I knew that.
Eleanor Grace (Psychic)
Absolutely, I knew that. And because of that appeal that you have, generally, because it's connected to your lifeline here, you're very intense with your love. So there's no letting go of the person that you love either. So there you are, Jamie. Happy birthday.
Jamie Lang
Thank you so much.
Sophie Lang
Unbelievable that.
Jamie Lang
You're incredible. Well, that was simply amazing. Some of the stuff you said there is absolutely mind blowing.
Eleanor Grace (Psychic)
Oh, good.
Jamie Lang
That's the best birthday present I could have ever asked for. Okay, we're gonna do. Can we do Sophie now?
Eleanor Grace (Psychic)
Okay, Sophie, welcome, welcome. Now, I want you to just relax your hand and I want to, to place the, the amethyst and the rose around you. This is because you, you have a great deal of love in your life, but also because of becoming a mum very soon and everything will go very well for you. It's very smooth birth because I think, you know, I was terrified when I was pregnant and just didn't know what was going to happen. And I feel that that's been around you a little as well. But it's, I'm just saying to you, don't, don't worry, don't worry about anything at all. What I'm getting here from you is that everything is new. Everything that you're wanting has to be brand new. Everything's new. So you'll be buying a lot of things in the next few months. But more importantly than that, I think there's a new start. Obviously you're going to be a new mum and that is going to be the most amazing experience. I feel that there's been a lot of resistance to this, perhaps not the right time in the past or having obstacles to overcome in the past. So you've made it, you're here, you've made it, and there's more to come. I feel that there's another two babies here. I did see three children in Jamie's hand and I've got another two here as well as this baby, but they do come quite quickly. So it's a period of time where you will have your family, you know, you'll have them all quite together. Now, looking here into your hand, though, I see a shadow on your lifeline. Now, this is very lucky. It's a very fortunate marking that I see in your hand often. It's a mark of emigration, but I don't feel that for you. So Certainly property overseas. Do you sing?
Sophie Lang
No. Really bad.
Eleanor Grace (Psychic)
You've got a terrible voice.
Sophie Lang
A really bad voice.
Eleanor Grace (Psychic)
Right, okay. One of your children will. So there's a very strong voice here, musical voice in your hand. So if it's not you, it'll be one of your girls. It's a girl to come. That's a very pronounced area in your hand. So you'll be guiding your little ones and you'll enjoy every moment of that. Just use the Crystal Comet a little bit here. Something I like to. There is a big, big wedding that you're going to, by the way. It's not yours. Somebody else's. Really big celebrity wedding. And again, America.
Jamie Lang
So Taylor Swift, many friends. We're going to Taylor Swift's. That's where we're going, honey. Imagine.
Eleanor Grace (Psychic)
Maybe it is.
Jamie Lang
Maybe it is.
Eleanor Grace (Psychic)
Yeah. But there is a big wedding. Big, big wedding in America. You will be there. You'll be amongst everybody else as well. Okay. Just have a little hold of this crystal ball for me. That is a citrine crystal. And it is about prosperity, but it's prosperous for you in several uplifting ways. And this is with family, with your baby and. And the delight of being a mum. Let me have that now. Yes. You want some wishes here? So there's no pregnancy or birth that is without some discomfort, even though it's only slight. I think in your case it's really going to be quite easy. There's no complications here that I see. But it will be a quicker birth than you're expecting. So perhaps get the car ready.
Jamie Lang
Not.
Eleanor Grace (Psychic)
Not the racing car. Jamie, that's great news.
Sophie Lang
Do we think early?
Eleanor Grace (Psychic)
Yeah, a little bit earlier. A little bit earlier than. Than you think. So something about the dates isn't quite right, so I don't feel like it's right either. Oh, really? Would you say that it should be earlier? Yeah, I'm feeling about a week earlier. But not too much. I mean, it's, you know, the baby is very healthy and a very, very bright child. Beautiful face. Beautiful face. And endearing.
Jamie Lang
It is my baby. So I can talk. It's got to be. Gotta be my very symmetrical face. I have.
Sophie Lang
Does the baby look like Jamie or me?
Eleanor Grace (Psychic)
I actually think it's like you.
Jamie Lang
I'm chuffed with that. I'm all right with that. I'm okay with that.
Eleanor Grace (Psychic)
I think your eyes in particular just have your eyes. But you've both got such wonderful, sweet smile, haven't you? That doesn't really matter. Is your baby.
Jamie Lang
Honey.
Eleanor Grace (Psychic)
Beautiful. Beautiful as well. It's like the heavens just light up for both of you this December. And when I see that, it's, it can be as a sort of celebration of your relationship that the love is in the air and the lights are there in order to combine the two of you together. So there we are.
Jamie Lang
Thank you so much.
Eleanor Grace (Psychic)
Lovely to meet you.
Jamie Lang
Oh, my God. That was amazing.
Sophie Lang
That was unbelievable. The best present I've ever given you. That was unbelievable.
Jamie Lang
Unbelievable. Honey, I really appreciate it. Thank you. And I love you so much.
Sophie Lang
That was unbelievable. We're going to be together forever.
Jamie Lang
I know. That is a daunting.
Sophie Lang
I loved it when she was like, you've got three children and I'll see how many Sophie has. And I was like, what? So he's gonna have one without me?
Jamie Lang
Honey, I'm with you forever and I love it. And I can't wait. I want to say thank you to every single person as well. Just even though it's my birthday, I really appreciate you guys tuning in. Honey, I love you to absolutely love you so much. And we love you, the listener. I hope whatever journey you're on right now, it's as fruitful and as exciting and successful and all those things. Episode: Psychic PREDICTS gender of our children?!
Hosts: Jamie Laing & Sophie Habboo
Date: November 3, 2025
Production: JamPot Productions
In this birthday special episode, Jamie and Sophie share a bundle of raw, hilarious, and heartwarming moments as they navigate pregnancy, parenthood prep, and the unpredictability of impending parenthood. Highlights include Sophie’s wild pregnancy body woes, listener confessions that range from emotional to outrageous, and a highly entertaining visit from psychic Eleanor Grace. The episode is an authentic blend of comedic banter, candid admissions, and some jaw-dropping psychic revelations—including predictions about their children.
(Starts at 02:30)
Sophie surprises Jamie with birthday balloons spelling “Daddy,” gifts, and plenty of affection.
Magda, the producer, impresses with an impromptu, “hidden talent” singing performance.
The couple reminisces about school awards and awkward childhood stories, with Sophie relating how she and her sister were told to pretend to play guitar in a school performance.
Jamie boasts about his under-10 javelin record, while Sophie lovingly (and teasingly) calls out his tendency to repeat stories of his past school sporting achievements.
(From 11:20)
Jamie and Sophie get candid about Sophie’s discomfort in late pregnancy—including a memorable scene where Sophie crawls on all fours to relieve pressure, resulting in a fit of laughter from Jamie.
The couple continues with affectionate and cheeky banter, exchanging gifts—Sophie gives Jamie (with tongue firmly in cheek) anal bleach, joking about reciprocating his previous present of vaginal cream, and a “fleshlight,” leading to a comic discussion about marital boundaries.
(13:09)
(16:46)
Jamie retells (with mock pride) the story of how one of his farts sent Sophie to the bathroom with nausea so strong she had to call the hospital—a moment so absurd and yet so real to couples navigating late pregnancy.
Sophie reads Jamie a deliberately silly birthday poem, filled with their quirky humour and love.
(22:35)
(30:52)
(34:47 begins intro, 35:02 starts reading)
Eleanor predicts three major new beginnings in Jamie’s near future, with a particularly crucial decision or event to occur in March 2026 related to his career and possibly America.
An eerily accurate mention of someone named “David” (redacted for podcast privacy), leaving Jamie and Sophie visibly shocked.
Jamie is reassured of his and Sophie’s lasting relationship, and Eleanor predicts three children in his destiny.
Additional predictions: long, busy life, “sexy man energy,” and upcoming international work and Formula One connections.
Eleanor predicts an easy, slightly early birth and three children for Sophie and Jamie, all close in age.
A musical child is in their future, despite Sophie’s own self-admitted lack of singing talent.
A big celebrity wedding in America is forecasted to be significant for Sophie.
Both Jamie and Sophie are told their baby will be healthy, beautiful, and have Sophie’s eyes.
In sum:
This birthday episode stands out for both its raucous laughs and poignant moments, culminating in a “psychic predicts” segment that is as heartfelt as it is surprising. Whether you're an expectant parent or just here for the oversharing, Jamie and Sophie remind us that the journey to parenthood is best traveled with humour, honesty, and a little bit of magic.
