B (69:21)
Yeah. And there's definitely. Right. There's a. There's like a. When I look back on my life, like, I didn't always practice that way, right? Like, even I. Even though I'd had my own healing, that happened, and I came out full of ego. And I actually failed miserably in practice my first years. Like, I was losing, going bankrupt. Like, I thought this was it. And I had a kind of a breaking point. And it sounds a little cliche, but, I mean, truly, I was like, you know, at the rock bottom. And my wife, man, thank God for a good wife. And she just like, babe, like, just. And again, this will sound so cliche, but she just said, like, honey, like, just tell them the truth, right? Like, you know, you. When you hear that, you always think you are already. Like, it wasn't like I was openly lying, but I was afraid they think of me. I was afraid, you know, about this or that. And I was just like, man, well, I have nothing to lose at this point. And we were rock bottom. And I just decided in that day, too, that I was just going to treat people like. Like the way I would. Like they were my sister or my brother, you know, I mean, like, I'm just gonna, like, make recommendations like, you're my mom or whatever. And I let the cards fall within me because then I could. I could live with myself. And we went from, you know, failing office, losing everything to one of the biggest clinics in America in 18 months. And in a year. It was not a new marketing plan. It wasn't any, you know, buddy saved the day. It was just, you know, I think the lor. To. To break me, break my ego, break my pride, right? And just realize he's the healer. And like you said, I don't think. See, some people think that sounds like a cop out, right? You know, I say, you know, I move the bone, God does the healing. It's like we're trying to shirk responsibility. Like, I'm not trying. Like, I don't want to take the response. It's quite the opposite. I think it's actually just being honest, right? Like. Like, I can't. I can't heal you. I believe that. I mean, God. God can heal people and he may use somebody to do that, but I don't think I'm the healer, okay? I think he's the healer. And so trying to keep myself and people all the time. Oh, Dr. Ben, you healed. I didn't heal you. I stop him every Time I didn't heal you. He healed you. You know, there's a great story in Luke. I think it's Luke, oh, gosh. It's the woman who is bent over. It says she'd been Bent over for 18 years. She's sitting in the back of the synagogue. And I love the story because there's a lot of reasons. One of them, it's Jesus himself and he's teaching, and it says that he sees the woman sitting in the back. So I think, you know, there's these amazing stories of healing in the Bible where, like, you know, the guy calls out from the side or the woman presses through and touches the robe and things like that. Like, those are amazing. But this one is like, it's different. Like, she's sitting in the back, right? Like, you have to imagine it says she'd been Bent over for 18 years. Like, you have to imagine she maybe had given up, that maybe it wasn't going to happen for her, that maybe it was too late. And it says that he sees her, her. And I just, you know, sometimes it's just showing up in that sense. You know, she shows up, she puts herself in that position. He calls her out, she. He brings her up and says the first thing he does is he casts out a spirit of infirmity. And I think that's an important thing for people to remember, because even in healthcare, you know, when's the last time that somebody went to the hospital and they got a spirit of infirmity cast out of them, right? Probably not very often yet. We do that often in my office. All right. I mean, I pray for all of my patients. I lay hands on them and I pray for them. And I don't do that for show. I do that because I don't want to do without it. Like, I. Why would I, Why would I do it? Why would I try to do it without it? And for those people, that, that's really the cause of their problem, and that's going to be the only way, solution. You're not going to be able to eat yourself out of that one. You can't do enough jumping jacks to get rid of the spirit of infirmity. So it says that he cast out the spirit of infirmity first. So dealt with the supernatural, dealt with the spiritual. Then he laid hands on her. And it says that she, she stood upright and she immediately began to praise God. God. And that to me is healthcare, right? You deal with you, you, you, you give God the glory, right? And so, and went through this Process of people and listen, like you said, or we've said today, like, we're all gonna die. This isn't about living forever in the physical side, right? Like, I don't know. And people die from other things other than just heart disease and cancer and side effects of drugs, right? People get hit by cars and fall off of, you know, roofs and drown. Like, this isn't about. I don't, I don't. I also don't believe in making health an idol. You know what I mean? Like, I don't believe, like, I see some of the health world health influencer stuff and it's all about vanity and, you know, biohacking and anti aging. I'm like, no, this isn't. I'm not trying to hack God. I'm not opposed to those things. I'm opposed to those things as idols. I'm opposed if a person thinks I can't be healthy unless I do 86 cold plunges, 900 therapies, 8 million vitamins. Like, again, I not do. I do those things. But it's not, it's not my idol. It's a form of worship to my father and simply saying when I'm, if I'm exercising, I'm not doing it for a six pack. I'm doing it as a form of worship to the God that made me. Now, I know for some people that's a little bit, like, a little bit too much. But I think it's honestly a better perspective. I think it keeps our heart right and keeps us in check and, and I think if people could understand how, how wonderfully God made their body, that a lot of the fear that they have around health would go away. I think that's why, you know, to your question about just like, what goes on in my office, you know, or how do I take care of people? And it's why we have the podcast designed to heal, because some of these conversations take a while, right? Like you gotta, you know, if you're gonna talk about heart disease or diabetes or cancer or autoimmune diseases, you know, I, One of my. I have a doctor that's coming to work for me. And, you know, he, he had Ms. He had Ms. He got diagnosed. He was a D1 athlete playing for Navy, got a bunch of jabs. You know, the military loved the jabs. And so he got a bunch of jabs his first week. Week. Shortly thereafter, half his body gets paralyzed. He. They told him they diagnosed with ms, lesions on his brain and spinal cord. They told him he'd be In a wheelchair in three years, dead in five. He had a very aggressive form. And he came back. They medically discharged him from the Navy. He came back to Florida. I knew his dad. He came to my office. I started taking care of him. He changed his lifestyle. The Lord healed him. He's completely healed. Married, two kids, just finished chiropractic school. Going to come back to my office. I mean, his brain scan, his lesions are gone and cleared. And again, people find that's. That. That's amazing, and it is, but it's. It's just that stuff's not that weird to me. Right. Like, it sounds weird to other people. They tell you, oh, it's Ms. It's chronic. You never get rid of, like. Like, you know, or Lyme disease for your wife. Right. Like. Like, well, don't, you know, don't tell them. She's. Well, you know. I remember one day, this lady. I was doing a seminar, and this lady came up to me afterwards, and she's like, I've worked in the hospital for 30 years, and I've never seen anything like that. And I was like, do you realize how stupid you sound? Like, exactly. You've worked in the hospital for 30 years. I know you haven't seen it because you don't do any of this stuff. Like, what do you expect you're going to see? You mean everybody that comes in, you get pill potions and lotions and then send them out? You don't see people heal and get miracles? Well, yeah, like, you answered your own question, man. Like, I live in a different place here, right? Some people say, oh, you know, I don't see those miracles. I said, do you pray for them? Do you lay hands on them? I've never seen that happen. Really? Have you tried? Like, that's why it's happened to me.
