Blokes and blokettes. We are in London on the 18th Live Show. New Rory and Mall with some friends. It's going to be a great time. This is our third time in London. We love the city. We love the area. We love the people. I cannot wait to get to London Mall. I mean, you have not stopped talking about London.
Mal
Love London. Can't wait to get back.
Rory
He. He knows gigs, so, like, you know, we're. You know, we're good.
Mal
He knows gigs.
Rory
Tickets available now.
Damaris
No worrying now. What about a finger?
Julian
No, we're talking about a grab. Fingers, penetration. We said a grab.
Rory
This is not the beginning of the episode. Make that clear. This is not how we're starting.
Julian
Start it and we're back.
Mal
Start.
Julian
Because I don't like a finger regardless.
Mal
All right.
Julian
Oh, my bad.
Rory
This is not how we need to start. Podcasts.
Mal
Ask the question, yo. Positive energy, love, light and prayers. Hopefully nobody is getting touched without consent out there.
Julian
Grabs are chill. For $100 million, a grab is really fucking chill.
Mal
So you're saying. All right, so first of all, how's everybody doing? Let's start there.
Rory
How do we even.
Mal
How. How are you doing? How you feeling?
Rory
I'm great.
Mal
So you last night, but how you feeling?
Rory
I feel fine.
Mal
Everything's good?
Rory
Yes.
Mal
Julian, how was your. How was your shoot?
Julian
It was close. For a luxury stovetop, I did a fake dinner scene in New Jersey. It was cool. No, actually, really great steak, some greens. They had a chef on site, so we actually had, like.
Mal
Oh, so, yeah, ate for real.
Julian
Really great meal and some wine.
Rory
Were you, like, in it eating or you were the chef?
Julian
I was a dinner guest eating.
Rory
Okay.
Julian
So it was me and three other models. We were just sitting at the. It was like, fake conversations. Everybody smiling. Cheers.
Mal
What type of conversation? Like, when it's fake conversation on set.
Julian
Oh, I got. I get my. I. I told the director, I can't fake.
Mal
You just yell out my name, Jeff. You just yell at.
Rory
I like, for 100 million, could I grab your ass?
Julian
I just made a lot of jokes because that's.
Damaris
Were they funny?
Julian
Yeah, Everyone in the room laughed. They're not going to hit here.
Rory
They were also acting because they had to.
Julian
No, no, they weren't acting people off screen. So I'll do two of them. One of them was like, when we were doing the rehearse.
Rory
The bits.
Julian
Yeah, we were doing, like, the small talk. They're like, okay, everybody do a cheers. And they were like, all right, what do we want to say? And they're like, the one model, the girl across me goes, congrats, Julian, on the new job. She goes, oh, how's your job going? And I go. And as everybody says, like, I. I got fired today. And everybody was like, ah. I was like, the kid, you know, we got to do PG content. And then at one point, a dog barked in the background, and someone had just complimented how great the steak was. And I was like, it was just coming off of the Trump Haitian rant.
Rory
Oh, nice. I was like, yeah, that one was set up for.
Julian
I was like, it's a dessert reading his brother right now. And then it was like, ah, politics.
Rory
Do you think that'll make the final cut, that band?
Julian
Well, that's the thing. None of these are audio. So it's just. They just want you to look like you're talking and smile and laugh. So you can literally say any.
Mal
So you can work on your material there.
Julian
Yeah, yeah.
Rory
Gas stove. Electric. What are we talking about?
Julian
I believe it was electric. I don't know. It was a really nice product. It was a $6,000 stove top.
Rory
Damaris. Do you think electric and gas cook different?
Damaris
Yes.
Rory
Yeah. Not big on electric stoves.
Julian
Sure.
Rory
It was great.
Damaris
So I grew up with an electric stove. I never had a gas stove until I moved out of my. Until I moved out of Syracuse, which was 2021. That was the first time I had, like, a gas stove. And it was very difficult for me to adjust.
Rory
Yeah.
Damaris
To cooking.
Mal
You moved from Syracuse in 21?
Damaris
Yeah.
Mal
Oh, so you're not from Syracuse no more. They don't. They don't claim you no more.
Julian
The stovetop, like three years.
Rory
She goes back every weekend.
Mal
All right.
Damaris
No, I don't. No, I like. You just made that up.
Julian
Fact.
Mal
Like, every weekend.
Damaris
No, I don't.
Rory
Every Syracuse.
Mal
Every week.
Rory
Seeing her family.
Mal
Oh, yeah, I forgot.
Rory
She's. She's a family girl.
Mal
It looks like Baby D's family lives here, like, in Jersey.
Damaris
Well, my. My dad and my sister live here, and then my mom and my other sister live in Syracuse.
Julian
Oh, okay.
Mal
So I knew you had family here.
Rory
Ye. Yeah. Well, Mo, how are you feeling and joing. We're not going to plug this.
Julian
No, I'm not. Don't show it. But I'm saying it's a cool. It looked like DJ equipment. That's why I want to show you guys. I don't. We don't have to show, but that's what it looks like. It's very nice.
Rory
I've always wondered what, like, the degrees I was really cooking on Never know.
Damaris
Medium.
Mal
Medium. Yeah.
Rory
I put this on seven.
Julian
It's a really cool like Bluetooth.
Mal
You can play music.
Julian
I know it looks like it would. It looks like they have that's electric.
Rory
I'm sure you could probably connect your phone to that and like your phone.
Julian
For $6,000 that thing better have fucking Bluetooth on it.
Mal
So you just plug it in.
Julian
It know. So this sits into a countertop. That's how it kind of like that before. Really? It was really nice.
Rory
That is cool, but okay.
Julian
And of course, you know, on these shoes they don't actually cook the food on the products. It's just for the shots. So we actually had a, you know, as one of those called a portable stovetop in the backyard.
Rory
How long do you think until like the luxury buildings now become like low income housing? Like 50, 60 years. They are not the ones that are made for that by like programs for the state. So like when things just start to.
Mal
Go to like the projects start looking like.
Rory
Yeah, like, like where Co Op City is not quite section 8, but at one point Co Op City was pretty nice and then went to.
Mal
Yeah.
Rory
One one of the luxury buildings. That's going to happen.
Mal
It's probably already happening.
Damaris
It is probably within the next. I would say within the next five years.
Rory
That's crazy.
Mal
Yeah.
Rory
Damn.
Mal
It's bad out there, man.
Damaris
And they're building.
Rory
It's also great for like low income people.
Mal
Things are nice and they're eating the dog.
Rory
If, if they just would have gotten that luxury building, they would not have to eat the cat and dog that was over there. But we'll get to that later. Your man was wild and not that man, Shannon Sharp. We have to wait at least. I feel like the rule. At least 20 minutes before we can talk politics. Right?
Mal
Okay.
Rory
30 minutes before you. Yeah, maybe an hour.
Mal
Yeah, maybe an hour. Maybe an hour.
Rory
Because I'm still recovering from watching that entire thing. And then as soon as I thought I was recovering, I opened my phone and Shannon Sharp is the dog out of a girl on IG Live.
Damaris
He wasn't a dog.
Julian
You a hater.
Damaris
She was fighting the dog out of him.
Julian
Oh, come on.
Damaris
Mall.
Mal
I'm just laughing because he sounded like he was listening to a negro spiritual. He's like that my Michelle Swing love, sweet chariot that my Michelle.
Damaris
What is that say Somebody said he sounded like how Mr. Sounded on top of Celie in the Color Purple.
Mal
That's exactly how he sounded. That's exactly how he was grown up.
Rory
My brain would have never went that's hilarious.
Mal
That's my Michelle.
Damaris
Don't hate.
Mal
Yeah.
Rory
Two.
Mal
That's my Michelle.
Rory
Who said, I feel like you'd have to get to growl. I don't know if I could be angry.
Mal
I ain't never had no. None of that warm. Warm where you just start.
Rory
Yeah. But it never made me growl. You know, like, when you kick a puppy. I've never done that, but I had some.
Mal
That warm won't make you just sometimes.
Julian
You know, when you kick a puppy. That was your.
Rory
I've never kicked a puppy. But okay, like, you know the stereotypical noise that dogs supposedly make? Like, that's what I make when I get the warm.
Mal
Warm. You make that noise.
Damaris
You be whimpering.
Mal
Yeah.
Rory
Like, yeah, I'd be quivering.
Damaris
They do that, too.
Rory
My legs start vibrating.
Mal
That's my Michelle.
Rory
All right. Should we keep making jokes or call this what it is?
Mal
Man, this was bullshit.
Rory
This was a great ad.
Mal
Yeah, this was just an ad. When he went on, you know, the. The Nightcap show later on last night with Ocho, and he held up whatever the erectile supplements are. Yeah, I knew exactly what that was. I was like, oh, this is. That's just an ad. That's just a. You know.
Rory
Which we have to give credit.
Mal
He probably has ownership or partnership with that company. Yeah, I get it. Listen, Shannon Sharpe is on fire right now. He doing what he's supposed to do. But you talking to Val. Done been out. I done been outside way too many summers to know when I see bullshit. That was not you ain't. And that wasn't real.
Rory
Well, we have to.
Damaris
You don't think he was really fucking credit?
Rory
No. Neither do I. No, the originator is Camron. Remember when he was fake fucking his neighbor?
Mal
Yeah.
Rory
When he had whatever that pill was. And then even when he went on to talk about Diddy, he plugged.
Mal
Yeah.
Rory
He's like, yo, I'm about to get some pussy.
Mal
Yeah.
Rory
Like, probably wrong time to talk about this.
Mal
I get it. I understand what Shannon Sharp doing.
Rory
I think advertisers should probably take a note. Like, sometimes ad reads aren't the best route. Sometimes creative marketing, like, pretending you're fucking on IG Live will sell more pills.
Julian
He also could have been fucking.
Damaris
I think he was fucking, like, it's.
Rory
Really hard to get on IG Live.
Damaris
You don't.
Julian
Just staged.
Damaris
I don't think that he got on there on accident. It's actually not hard to get on IG Live, especially if you go to record something, because I know there's a Lot of people in world who go to record. Like when they go to take a picture or record, they automatically go to Snapchat or Instagram. Like they don't go to their camera app. I don't understand those.
Rory
So you think he was about to record what he was doing?
Damaris
What I'm saying is that it's possible.
Rory
Got caught up into it.
Damaris
What I'm saying is that it's possible because going to. I've gone.
Mal
I would be with you on that. But the fact that he said he never been on IG Live, which is true, because we would know if Shannon Sharp ever went live. When the first time you actually try to go on live on IG Live, you have to go through a few more steps than if you've already been on. It's not just IG Live start. Like, it's not. That's not it. It's a few more steps.
Rory
Put your birthday and shit.
Mal
I don't know about that, but it's definitely a few more steps than just hit a button and now it's live. It's not that easy.
Damaris
Yeah, and I get that. I'm not saying that I believe that he accidentally went live. What I'm saying is it's easier to accidentally go live than people think.
Rory
I've done it before, but I never thought about that. Maybe he was just trying to do the recording. He was trying to film himself fucking. And IG was open. So maybe he thought he was gonna like archive a story and was like, nah, fuck that. And threw his phone and hit live by accident.
Damaris
Because when you go to. When you go on Instagram, the button is the same for reels, Live story, everything. It's all the same button. But I think he was. Even if it was whatever, like, as far as he did. He did go live on purpose. I think he was fucking. You don't pull out that mama shell. You don't pull that out. Like in your acting bag. You don't pull that out.
Rory
That's what I actually think. You do that in your acting bag.
Mal
What he said.
Rory
Shut up.
Mal
What I'm asking you what he said.
Julian
He's like in his late fifth. Like, that's. That's their thing.
Mal
Yeah, yeah. To say your full name.
Julian
Yes.
Rory
That's government.
Julian
Some old head ass.
Damaris
I know some niggas that's 33, 34. That be getting it off too.
Rory
Yeah. With the detectives.
Mal
That's my Damaris. What said. That's my. See, no, we not doing that. I'm asking you a question. All I'm doing Damaris. All I'm doing is asking you a question based on the conversation we are having. What man yelled out, that's my Damas.
Julian
We're like. We're like, eight minutes into the episode.
Rory
I just want to know, this is Shannon Sharp's fault.
Mal
Yeah, like, this is Shannon's fault.
Rory
He brought the horniness to the pod.
Mal
Yeah, we here now. Whitman said, that's my Damaris. That my Damaris.
Rory
That's my dog.
Julian
Me Mucx.
Mal
What is that?
Damaris
Oh, my God.
Mal
That's my Damaris. It's crazy. You better not ever call him back. Damar call you. That's my Damaris. Don't call him back.
Rory
He tapped into that black and mild throat pause when he got into that bag. He don't even talk that way when he's yelling at Skip.
Mal
He definitely had house shoes on standing up by the edge of the. Yeah.
Rory
Oh, yeah.
Mal
Yeah. To say, that's my Michelle. Like, you definitely, like, you definitely was, like, working out and just trying to, like, release at that.
Damaris
I know. He was dripping sweat just right on her face. Missionary.
Mal
Michelle liked that, though. You heard Michelle.
Rory
She made a fresh batch of lemonade after.
Julian
No, a couple good Michelle's.
Mal
Yeah.
Rory
I'm shocked the Internet didn't find her. They find everything.
Julian
Oh, they didn't find her.
Damaris
They did not find her. That's not her.
Mal
That's not her. How you know that's not her?
Damaris
Because the girl already came out and said that. She said, that's not my name. She said, my name is Nichelle. That girl's name is Michelle.
Rory
Well, the way he got accent, he got that heavy.
Mal
He got that heavy tongue sound like.
Rory
He got pool water in his baritone. Couldn't pronounce everything.
Mal
Yeah, like that, Mom. He could have said Nichelle.
Rory
He might have not known her name either.
Julian
He sound like the coach from everyone.
Rory
In here a girl.
Julian
They didn't from water. Boy.
Rory
Your brain went there that last time.
Mal
M said that's what he sounded like. I'm just telling y'all what Shannon said.
Damaris
Y. Y'all ain't never had no Michelle. That's why y'all laughing at un.
Rory
Yeah, I'm not laughing at him. I respect. I respect it.
Julian
Has anyone ever called you so obviously your name's whatever, but has anyone ever called you something that was like, what? Like, in the moment, you're like, what the. Did they just call me?
Mal
Called me?
Julian
Yeah. Or you called them and you were like, why did I say, oh, I've got some off.
Mal
I don't think I've ever called nobody.
Damaris
Really?
Rory
Well, you get yourself in trouble at.
Mal
That point, I got some off. I'll call them all kind of.
Rory
What's some of your pet names? No trump. What?
Julian
That was.
Rory
See, Eating the pussy.
Mal
All right.
Rory
It went over your head.
Mal
No, it didn't go over.
Rory
Did you even let me get to eat the cat?
Mal
Oh, what? Who says eat the cat?
Rory
Slow it down. I just dissed you.
Mal
No, you. No, you didn't. No, you did not. Why would.
Julian
Also, why would Maul be saying.
Rory
That's what room I'm in.
Julian
Why would Maul be the one to say eat the cat?
Damaris
I don't know, yo. All right, but for real. Wait, mall. You really don't call everybody? Like, you don't say their names out loud.
Mal
Not their name.
Julian
Mom be like, you dirty.
Damaris
No, that's you.
Julian
That's Maul.
Rory
I know. That's definitely Julie. Did that once.
Mal
That's definitely my bag right there. Julie, thank you for that. Thank you for that sound bite.
Rory
Yeah, Ma be taking virginity is calling them women sluts.
Mal
No, I don't. And that's you.
Rory
Look at you. Oh, see why you're not pure anymore.
Mal
Trying to make me sound like you're not pure anymore. A terrible person. Man, that's not true.
Rory
I think you just really get caught up when you're in the moment sometimes.
Damaris
Would you get off, Rory? Why are you talking about.
Rory
I'm lame? Like, I wish I could contribute to this conversation. I'm not cool.
Mal
I quiver like that's my colonizer.
Julian
Roy sounds like a pug.
Damaris
Yo, that's.
Mal
That's my curly hair queen.
Rory
Yo, I'm gonna try to growl. I'm gonna see. I'm gonna see. All right, let's see what comes out.
Mal
He can't grow.
Julian
All right, go ahead.
Rory
Just gotta.
Mal
Yeah, it gotta happen. That's like. I'm telling you, that's that warm, warm right there when you just start, like, growling.
Damaris
He was. The growl was the only thing he.
Mal
That.
Rory
Cuz he had headphones on. Only the listeners and Peach heard that.
Julian
Like Jurassic park, like a brown note.
Damaris
He was nothing when he was growling.
Mal
Like that or trying to stop.
Rory
Oh, yeah, yeah, that's.
Mal
Sometimes you got to grow to hold that thing in. You be like, you got.
Rory
You got tighten up, champ.
Mal
Not yet. I'm only in the three minutes, and.
Rory
They'Re timing on IG Live, so they'll know how quick.
Mal
Yeah, that warm, warm get you.
Damaris
Sometimes the next time y'all are having sex with a woman, say her Full name. That should activate, like. It's like full name.
Mal
Whatever.
Damaris
Whatever the fuck the Black Panther was chewing on that gave him superpowers. That's what that does.
Mal
Oh, so. So you like that when they say.
Damaris
Your full name to women? Women like that, from what I hear.
Mal
All right, gotcha. Gotta try that.
Rory
Well, I always look at my as like one of the trusted sports commentators, but after he put that IG live up that his team was working vigorously, he used the word vigorously in a fake post to find out who hacked his ig.
Mal
That wasn't him, though. That was like, somebody on his team.
Rory
No, he. It was signed Unk.
Mal
No, he. He spoke about it on the.
Rory
Of course we know his team wrote it.
Mal
Yeah, he.
Rory
He signed it Unk.
Mal
Well, yes, whoever put. Posted it up. Put Unc Tar Heels at the end of that.
Julian
Also tagging your own.
Rory
Tagging yourself.
Julian
Tagging yourself.
Rory
Beware Shannon Sharp. 84. Instagram was hacked this morning. My team and I are working vigorously to figure this out.
Mal
My team and I making it seem like he's the one writing that Beware.
Rory
But signed Unk.
Mal
Like, yeah, come on.
Rory
You don't have another Unk.
Mal
I don't you. Right.
Rory
It's just Shannon Sharp.
Mal
It is Shannon Sharp.
Rory
But I do respect. Is he the only person that has went from my phone was hacked. Lol. Just kidding. Well, usually people die on that lie.
Mal
No, but again, because he's not the one that posted that somebody from his team did. So he just was like, nah, I'm just going to show tonight and just let him know that, you know, it wasn't like he was doing anything illegal or anything crazy. He was having sex. Okay. I just didn't want the word.
Rory
He's a healthy man. I believe he.
Mal
He worried it as a healthy. Doing what healthy men do. Yeah.
Rory
I respect it. I love that Ocho Cinco was being messy and trying to figure out what Michelle was. At one point he said, was it K. Michelle that had me crying? Blink twice. It was K. Michelle.
Julian
Michelle Beetle tweeted it wasn't me. Which is pretty funny. Yeah. And then he, you know, once he admitted that it was him, he said Ocho was also critiquing how short it was. And he said, well, no, I was going for 24 minutes before you started recording.
Mal
It's like, because it's hard for us to prove he wasn't. So just throw that out. Yeah, throw that out there.
Julian
If you're gonna lie, just lie to make yourself sound.
Mal
I was in that thing 26 minutes.
Rory
Like, when Ron Burgundy started doing push ups and started at 103. Ooh. Did you hear how many I was doing?
Julian
I love that bit.
Rory
My arms hurt so much. I was doing so many. I mean, where does this go?
Mal
It's a great ad, though. Yeah, it's a great promo for.
Julian
He's awesome.
Damaris
Can y'all do it next?
Mal
Yeah, we can do a blue chew one. Why not?
Rory
But we'd have to. We'd have to step it up. Like, you have to push the genre forward. Can't just bite what he did.
Mal
And I'm gonna really be me. Like, go ahead, Peach. Set these. Set these microphones up.
Damaris
Oh, my God.
Mal
What?
Rory
Wait, but why in the studio? You couldn't do it in, like, the comfort of your own home.
Mal
No, just point this. Point the camera to the ceiling so they know it's in the studio. Make it seem like one of the.
Rory
Cameras put on the neon light.
Mal
Yeah, one of the cameras.
Rory
Our logo.
Mal
Yeah. One of the cameras fell over and it just caught, you know?
Rory
Okay.
Mal
Healthy man having sex.
Rory
Everyone knows you don't know how to export footage. So how would we tell that, like, Peach went in there and chopped it up and.
Mal
No, we forgot to turn.
Rory
Put it in real size.
Mal
We forgot to turn the equipment off. Somebody was in the studio late night.
Rory
Yeah.
Mal
Not. And one of the cameras happened to catch what was going on.
Rory
Yeah, but how does it.
Julian
Yeah, but then how does it get out?
Mal
Well, Peach edited.
Rory
Okay, so you agree? Peach edits it, Sizes it.
Mal
Yeah. Then I say, yo, like, you know.
Rory
Ends it with our logo.
Mal
My team and I work in.
Julian
Put the lower third on it.
Mal
Yeah. Like, my team and I work in vigorous.
Rory
Worked vigorously to put this together.
Mal
Yeah. Yeah. Sign up for Patreon.com now to see the unedited version.
Rory
Well, since I do better help by myself. You can do that ad by yourself?
Mal
Yeah, let's do it. I'm down.
Rory
Well, I mean, with a woman, that'd be kind of weird if you were caught beating off in the studio, but that'd be sick. I don't know if that'd go over good for advertisers.
Mal
And then taking a blue chew to, like, masturbate is crazy.
Damaris
I mean, maybe you want it to last.
Julian
Who make a Beat off marathon?
Rory
You really love yourself that much?
Mal
No, I don't.
Damaris
Y'all don't, like, take, like, self pleasure days where, like, you, like, edge it out and, like, take time?
Rory
No, not with a.
Mal
Get right to it.
Julian
Nah.
Mal
Yeah. Like, yeah. Taking a supplement to do that is, like, wow.
Rory
And thank God, anytime I have, like, there was pussy there.
Mal
Yeah.
Rory
I could never imagine lining something up, taking that, and then she don't show.
Mal
Up like, yo, my baby should have canceled.
Julian
I think that may have happened to me the first time I popped the blue. Or the second time she canceled. It just didn't happen.
Rory
Yeah, I mean, at least you got to expect.
Julian
I was just like torqued.
Rory
Just pacing it in the hotel hallway.
Julian
Yeah, just like. Just like. What is happening?
Mal
Start thinking about your life. What am I doing with my life?
Damaris
You can't lay on yourself.
Mal
Nobody loves me.
Julian
Oh, my God. I think I jerked off like six times.
Mal
What?
Julian
I mean, what else are you gonna do?
Rory
Look at what Shannon Sharp did to the game today.
Julian
What else are you gonna do?
Mal
Go outside?
Julian
No, not with that thing.
Mal
Do something constructive.
Julian
It was like a weekday.
Rory
Go to the strip club with some sweatpants on. I don't know.
Mal
Oh, my goodness, no.
Julian
Oh, I got someone in the sauna this morning. I think that there's a new approach on how to pick someone up. Okay, tell us a story.
Mal
But then you don't have to tell me why you keep going back to the sauna.
Julian
Because I like to see something else. All right. Y. So I think I mentioned it on here or a Patreon that the song in my gym is now back open. So I haven't gone as much as I used to, but I went today, and I'm in the. After my workout, I'm in the. It's not a steam room. It's just the hot room. This is like the dry air room. Yeah, but they still there. There's no rules. Just any room. They're gonna have sex. Really?
Mal
Any room?
Julian
Just any room. This room? Yeah. So. So I'm. I'm in there and the guy. I'm on like the back wall and on the left hand side, there's a guy who's like five feet from me. Whatever. It's like me, him, and one other guy in there. And he has his phone in his hand. And he's like sitting upright like this, like with his back straight, good posture. And then he like looks over at me, grabs his phone, leans forward, and then like tilts his phone screen towards me and opens hinge.
Rory
Should have been a red flag that he had a phone in it.
Julian
That's what I'm saying too. Well, it wasn't seemed that the. Just the hot air, the sauna, but I was like. Because in there I just kind of close my eyes and zone out, but I'm like Okay. Like I can clearly see Hinge loading on his phone. And then the people start popping up and it's all guys. And I was like, oh, is this like the non. Like one of the many non verbal cues that he's trying to get fucked or have sex.
Damaris
He wants you to.
Julian
He was just swiping through guys. And I'm like, okay. Like it was as if, like I want mall to see what's on my phone. I would just be holding my phone like this even though I'm here. Like, it would make no sense for me to open it this much.
Mal
Right.
Julian
So he was doing that and I was like, all right. And then after, like I just, you know, close my eyes and just like, like fake slept.
Rory
I thought he's about to say, all right, fine.
Julian
Yeah, took my time, stepped on my towel.
Rory
Fine, you got me.
Damaris
That's a risk. Like, what if you open them and it was some shit right there? Closing your eyes.
Julian
Like he would have woke up in the hospital.
Damaris
You would have bit it off.
Rory
I'd feel comfortable close my eyes though. Because somebody tried to do anything.
Julian
Yeah, I have. Well, I'm well within my right to lay the out. If you do this in the sauna, I'll be butt ass naked and beat the out of you.
Rory
I don't give a how they do in prison. I heard.
Mal
But I'm just laughing at. Because a God does all of that while you in the steam room or the sauna. And you clearly know, like, he's trying to let you know what type of time he's on. Like, how do you have the brain, like functionality to like, just close your.
Julian
Eyes, close your eyes.
Rory
He would have been like, maybe that's a new sign. Maybe that's the response.
Mal
Yeah, yeah.
Julian
Because like, I don't. I never know what the signals are. Like, what the thing. So I'm like, let me just. Like, if I just do this, I can't. You can't misconstrue what I'm doing. I'm like, my hands are in my lap.
Rory
Let me find out. Doing nothing is to tell sign.
Mal
Julian closed his eyes and started praying. Like, Jenny and God make me a bird so I can fly far, far away.
Rory
Similar situations too.
Mal
Please make me a bird so I can fly far, far away.
Rory
And then she got aids.
Mal
She didn't. Yo, why you keep saying she did?
Julian
That's what she died.
Mal
I heard. I thought they debunked that, that she didn't have aids, man.
Rory
Nah, Force said at the end, died from the monster. And now Their son can read.
Mal
Never said that, man.
Julian
It's never explicitly stated, but it's a. Here we go. The screenwriter confirmed in 2019 that she died. That she died of AIDS.
Damaris
She died of hepatitis C. See, look, AIDS.
Mal
Just close your eyes.
Rory
But then that was really sad because we know Jenny was, like, really ran through for the whole movie, but she represented America, so it was cool. Whatever we get the metaphor's ran through. But then she wanted to be a good girl, like a reformed girl the way America claims to be, and she went and Forest and got pregnant. Then tells Forrest, years later, this is your son, and she's got hepatitis, aids, whatever the fuck. But Forrest didn't have it, so that means Jenny was still cheating on Forest afterwards.
Mal
Of course.
Rory
That's sad, man.
Mal
All right, so, Julian, you just closed your eyes and hoped for the best.
Julian
I woke up here.
Mal
All right, well, good to see you. Glad everything went well in the. In the sauna.
Damaris
Did you fall asleep?
Julian
I could never fall asleep. I'm not in the.
Mal
But I'm just saying closing your eyes after that is like being on the train and somebody get on and like, they wiling, and then you just, like, close your eyes. Like, you can't go to sleep knowing that somebody's on the cart.
Rory
Like, I've probably done it before.
Mal
Went to sleep. I could never sleep.
Damaris
No, I can't. I'll be on.
Rory
Well, define wild.
Mal
Yeah. What? What? Like if somebody got on the train and he just was like. He started saying, y'all, I'll knock you out.
Julian
But he's not talking to you.
Mal
But he's not. He's just making a general statement.
Rory
I would keep my eyes open at this point.
Mal
That's the same thing with the. With the gown hinge in the sauna. Like, he's showing you his.
Rory
I thought you meant, like, typical wild and just doing weird. I can close.
Mal
No, not the new year.
Rory
But if someone announces, hey, I'm gonna knock you the out. And isn't specific on who it is. Yeah, I'm gonna make sure it's not me.
Mal
That's what I'm saying. So you.
Rory
Unless he plays Duck Duck, Goose and.
Mal
It lands on me, just close your eyes after that. Like somebody showing you their hinge profile in the sauna. Just union. And you just lean your head back and close your eyes. He probably thought that was the sign. Like, oh, he with it.
Damaris
Yeah, with something on your lips.
Mal
Sorry.
Julian
She keeps doing that.
Damaris
Sorry.
Mal
He with the nasties.
Rory
Another football player was caught on camera.
Mal
Who?
Julian
Rory.
Rory
What?
Mal
Who was caught on camera.
Julian
No, just the good boys in blue. Come on.
Rory
Yeah.
Mal
Oh, Tyreek Hill.
Julian
Back to blue.
Rory
Tyree kill. I mean, the cops were just doing their job.
Mal
What was he. All right, so Tyreek Hill was pulled over, pulled out of his car. Very aggressively and vigorously, vigorously pulled out of his car and putting. Placing handcuffs before the Dolphins game on Sunday. I guess it was a few. A few minutes from the stadium because you can see the parking lot. You see fans walking by with the jerseys on. So it had to be right by the arena. So this video, that one cop, though, he looked like he was on an ego trip.
Julian
He's such a bitch.
Mal
He was doing too. Now, to be fair, to be fair, to be fair. And this is. I mean, this is something we gotta just start being. You are blue lives Tyreek Hill. You cannot roll your window up when you have tents like that. When officers already have you pulled over and are questioning you. They don't know if you have a gun in the car. They can't see in the car. They're just protecting themselves. But this officer was definitely wilding. But Tyreek Hill, he knows who he is. He knows that, you know he's not going to jail. Obviously, the game is in a few hours. Like, he knows the team has police officers that work for the team. He'll be fine. But you can't put yourself in a position for shit like that to even happen. So I'm always on the side of be overly nice when pulled over by police. Especially if you are NFL superstar, like, you know, you're not going to jail.
Damaris
But wasn't he respectful the entire time?
Rory
Yeah. And the cop was wilding before.
Mal
The thing is, he rolled the window up. He didn't want to roll it down. So the cop started knocking on the window. He was like, yo, why are you knocking on my window like that? Like, it's just like you presenting when you pull over. Especially when you know you don't have roll the window all the way down.
Julian
This shit was crazy.
Mal
Yo, listen, officer, what you need my license, my insurance.
Rory
That doesn't mean the cops can be fucking.
Mal
No, no.
Rory
Full on dickheads.
Mal
I said that from the top. That cop was on the ego trip. We know that. But you have to have the smarts to with to like disarm and be able to read when a cop is just on a super ego trip and just be overly compliant. Like, hey, officer, whatever you need, sir. This, that, like I'm always on that side because. And then you knock, of course he'll be fine. But my Thing is, now you have to get pulled out of your car, slammed on the floor, all. All of this shit. When at the beginning, just be overly. Make him feel like he has all the control. Whatever you want, Officer.
Damaris
I get what you're saying, and I am on. I'm on that side of like, we do have to.
Mal
You gotta disarm ego.
Damaris
So this is the thing. He can't disarm them. You can't. Once a cop is on an ego trip, a cop is on ego trip, there's nothing you can do. He was getting snatched out of that car regardless. Even if he had kept his window roll all the way down, I believe so.
Mal
Because at some point, the cop is gonna realize who this is. They're right by the stadium and be like, yo, this is Tyreek Hill. Like, what the fuck? He's on his way to the stadium.
Damaris
But that shouldn't. But again, that shouldn't matter because if he wasn't Tyreek Hill, then what if.
Mal
He wasn't Tyreek Hill and he did that, then we might be talking about a different type of case. That's great to happen.
Damaris
But what I'm saying is, even if he wasn't Tyreek Hill, even if he would have kept his window down, we see this shit happen all the time. So like you saying, do this, do this. Be compliant as possible. That has. Being compliant has gotten plenty of people killed. Right. Like, I agree with you. Be as compliant as possible.
Mal
That's all I'm saying.
Damaris
Let's also acknowledge that that will not stop anything from happening to you.
Mal
But that's why I said, when you have an overly egotistic, egotistical cop like that, who is just a cowboy. He's been playing cops and robbers since he was 4. He lives for this type of shit to get up and was bullied.
Rory
Bullied in high school.
Mal
Yeah. Arrest bad guys squeezed out of ged. You know, this is a traffic. This is a traffic stop. It's not even like a fucking. A real crime has been committed. This is a traffic stop. That energy steroids.
Rory
But didn't play sports.
Mal
Yeah. So.
Julian
And then he probably still takes them.
Mal
He sees a black guy in a nice sports car that he obviously can't. Can't afford. So all of that is playing in this guy's head. He probably even realized who that was.
Julian
Well, so. So in one of the videos, one of the officers does say, oh, shit, that's Tyreek Hill. It wasn't the guy that was on the power trip. But I think to Damaris's Point, like this system, the police, there's obviously a lapse in training at some point where they're not taught to de escalate. This is a routine traffic stop. At worst, he should have gotten a ticket, and he should have gone on his way to the stadium and filed for it, paid for it later, whenever. Like the fact that he got out the car. This is like, why does the onus always have to be on? And I hear your point. You should never do anything to make the cop feel more emboldened because they had these little mini power strokes and trips. But the. The cop should always be the person that's in charge. And when you're in charge, your job should be to de escalate. You're supposed to protect and serve. None of this was protecting or serving. His friends see him, they're concerned for him. They pull over to go help him, and then this asshole cop starts yelling at him and cuffing him. Like, where? Where along this whole process did you calm the situation?
Mal
Right. But that's why I'm saying what I'm saying. Because if you have ever been pulled over, immediately, you know, when you got a cop that's just a dickhead, or a cop that's like, he's cool. He's not even tripping. His energy is calm. He's talking to you like you're a man. Like, once you see that you have a cop that's just on this type of trip, the way you can control the situation is to do the things that he's asking. To the 10th power, roll the window down. Cars over. My hands are out the window. Can't say I'm reaching for nothing. I'm on the phone with the fucking team security, who's a retired detective with the Miami police. Like, all of these things just. Just to protect myself. Because I already see that this cop, he's on one. So I'm not even on a phone.
Rory
Might be a bad idea.
Mal
But he was on the phone. Yeah. When he got slammed on the floor, he was on the phone. He was like, yo, they arrested me.
Rory
With an egotistical cop. That's not a good thing.
Mal
But that's why you keep the windows down. Don't roll the window up. Cause then he's going to say, oh, I couldn't see in the car. They're going to use anything.
Rory
Yeah.
Mal
To kind of try to justify why they was doing what they was doing.
Rory
To Damaris's point, we've seen people do all those steps, and it still go bad.
Mal
Oh, for sure. Absolutely. But that's why I'm saying you don't give them a reason to even try to say, oh, this is why we did it. Because he didn't roll. When he rolled the window up when he told. When we told him to roll it down. Because they're just looking for something to land to stick. The point of, why did you snatch him and take him out of the car? And they're going to say, because he rolled the window up and didn't roll the window down when we asked him to. Yeah, that's all that is. Keep the window down. Yes, sir. No, sir. Give them. Make them feel like they have all the control, even though, you know they don't. But I did love the celebration of, you know, kind of tying that together. Like, you know, it's like, yeah, like, I know y'all all see what happened. It went viral. Here I am now, hours later, scoring a touchdown.
Julian
I think it was like, an ADR touchdown, too. It was a pretty impressive play that he did the celebration on. Look how glad that she did. Look how geek that guy is in the back.
Rory
Yeah.
Damaris
No, but also, that. That is still. Like, I know everybody's like, well, he. Yeah, he's fine. Luckily, he's fine. It's like, I don't know, maybe I just have, like, a soft spot for little black boys. But, like, he's not. I don't think you're fine. That's traumatizing as fuck. Like, that's now engraved in your muscle memory as trauma. You're not fine. You're still rich and you're safe. You got home. But I don't. You're not fine.
Julian
Especially when you rep the city. Like, he is a representation of the city. He plays for a great team in a city that cares deeply about this team. And now it's like, well, the people that are rooting for me in the community that I'm bringing a lot of joy to, like, this is how I'm getting treated amongst the people that are, again, supposed to protect and serve. I'm literally the one of the most popping guys in this whole fucking city. And look how they're treating me.
Damaris
And how does it make his team? Because now you create, like, tension, because now his teammates feel the same way. My. My little cousin plays on that team for the fucking Dolphins. Like, you know what I'm saying? Like, it's just. And they all drive nice cars. So it's like, now everybody's like, head is on a swivel when we're all.
Mal
Like, but that's what happens whenever you. The first time you ever get pulled over by the police and you have that type of experience of being pulled out of the car, thrown on the floor. Now, from now on, anytime the police pull up behind you, they don't even have to be pulling you over. But even if they're just behind you on. On the street driving, that is going to replay in your head like, yo, here we go again with another one of these bullshit incidents. So I understand how this would affect Tyreek moving forward, but again, I think it's, you know, we have to do what we can and control what we can. Whenever we pulled over by the police. Overly compliant, overly nice. Yes, sir, no, sir. Like that again. Because you just don't know what these weird ass cops, some of them, what they're going through, what type of energy they're on that day when they happen to run into you. So do what you can to control the situation. If they tell you to roll the window down, roll the window down. Like, I know you got money and you're a celebrity and you like, you feel like I don't have to listen. But no, they kill celebrities, too. They'll. They'll put a bullet. They'll pull a. Put a bullet in the celebrity, too. It'll happen. So I think it's our job to control what we can. But again, that cop was on a ego trip, and hopefully he's suspended or fired.
Rory
At least we already know how unreasonable Miami PD is. Danny Lee was like, I'm a recording artist. Why are you arresting me?
Mal
Oh, yeah, well, she. She.
Rory
She deserved.
Mal
Yeah, what she did, he deserved.
Julian
Danny Lee.
Mal
Yeah, she.
Rory
That's her name, right?
Julian
Yeah. Dan. No, I mean, I'm saying using her as a comparison.
Rory
Danny Lay.
Julian
Danny.
Mal
Danny Lee.
Rory
Yeah, it was Danny Lee. It was also the Miami pd And she was celebrity. And she said, hey, I'm. I'm a recording artist. You can't do this.
Mal
Yeah, but she's not.
Julian
I think they pulled like an open bottle of tequila out of the car.
Rory
She deserved to be arrested.
Julian
Awful.
Mal
Yeah, that was different.
Rory
All right, Maul, I know you didn't sleep much last night. Must have. Must have been a rough, rough evening for you. I feel like your phone blows up anytime Kendrick moves a muscle. Oh, anytime he goes to. To Earwan or, I don't know, just goes out to the way groceries. Is that what it's called? Right Ear One.
Julian
Erewhon.
Rory
I'm not from la. Yeah, they swear by that.
Julian
Year one.
Rory
That's how it sounds like to Me, when people say, you want to go to Ear one? Not really. I think I'm cool on it.
Mal
Yeah, I'm chilling.
Julian
Yeah.
Rory
Do you guys have a deli? Kendrick Lamar last night released on his Instagram. Probably the most he's posted on Instagram his entire career within the past month or two.
Julian
Yeah.
Mal
What else has he posted, though?
Rory
All the disses.
Julian
Just the disses.
Rory
His Instagram.
Mal
Oh, okay. I thought.
Julian
Yeah. Just in terms of being active on social.
Mal
Oh, yeah.
Rory
Watch the Party Die, we think is the title. I got an MP3 that said the God or something. I've seen a bunch of different titles, but we're gonna assume rap genius has some information. Watch the Party Die. Kendrick Lamar last night, mall react. How terrified were you? What was the conversation like in the group chat? Did you even listen?
Julian
Did you close your eyes?
Mal
Yeah, I listened to it. I listened. Somebody. Was it Julian or. Yeah, it was me that sent it to the group chat. Yeah. And I think he said some. You said he dissed Drake again. I think that's what you said.
Julian
I don't say. I didn't say.
Mal
Or somebody. I think it might have been another group chat.
Rory
Well, initially, when it came out, Julian probably put it in the group chat and it had been out for maybe two minutes, and the song is five minutes long.
Julian
Yeah.
Rory
Everyone just assumed, especially with the artwork of the old Black Uptowns. It kind of matched, like, the Glove and all that other shit. It looked like the artwork.
Mal
Yeah.
Rory
So everyone assumed it was a Drake disc. But after two listens, I was like, this is not a Drake diss. If the shoe fits to Drake, then that's a great angle. Because if Drake reacts to this, then it looks like he's admitting that this was about him. But I don't think it's specifically about anybody.
Mal
Yeah. So when somebody. I don't know if it was one of my other group chats, but somebody said, yo, he dissed Drake again. And I was like, the first. First thing I thought was. I thought it was no round twos. So I'm like, what? So I was immediately thrown off by that. So then when I listened to it, same way you feel. I didn't feel like it was a diss to Drake. Now there is a blurred part out of one of the bars in there that I think we could have probably tied to the whole Drake situation, I couldn't figure out.
Rory
I mean, you guys know I am a rap genius. I am one of the best when it comes to putting bars together. I could not figure out what, to fill in with Aiden? Yeah, I was trying. Yeah. And you know, I went into the same way I went into the mind of Eminem, I went into the mind of K Dot.
Mal
That's just nasty.
Rory
I mean, just one of my gifts. That's a nasty gift. I'm like Matilda of the rap game.
Mal
You Professor? Who are you? Professor X? Like, what are you talking about?
Rory
Yeah, I even sat down to do it.
Mal
Yeah, well, he has no choice but to sit down. But go ahead.
Rory
You don't really know that.
Mal
Yeah, you're right.
Rory
Like, how you that smart and can't stand up? Like.
Mal
I know. I get it. I thought about that a few times.
Rory
It's weird.
Mal
Yeah.
Rory
She could change the weather. Your homegirl, she can't do for your legs. That's why I was never in the comic book. Yeah, I apologize to the comic book community.
Julian
Nevermind. I'm saying, like, and how are you that futuristic in your wheelchair is still like an old school ass Metal wheelchair?
Mal
No, he got a futuristic one.
Julian
Does it hover?
Mal
You probably watch. Does it hover?
Julian
I don't know.
Rory
I think he has some rockets on it.
Julian
At one point, Elon got to it.
Mal
He got some nice wheels with the big X on it. Now, like, it's a pretty good wheelchair.
Rory
Yeah. It wasn't quite Stephen Hawking, but it was, you know.
Damaris
Oh, geez.
Rory
Has some technology to it.
Mal
Yeah.
Rory
What Stephen Hawking? I have like an amazing wheelchair.
Mal
I don't know. I'm not a wheelchair.
Julian
An amazing time on that island, too.
Mal
Yeah.
Rory
It's still crazy. He was on that list.
Julian
Well, they were homeschooled. He was teaching them math.
Mal
There you go.
Rory
Anyways, Kendrick watch the party.
Julian
Speaking of parties.
Rory
Yeah. After the island, Kendrick was like, yo, I've had. I've had enough of these.
Mal
We watched that part.
Rory
Stephen Hawking was there. We. This party needs to die.
Mal
Yeah, but I didn't. I couldn't tie anything, you know, and it's crazy that now we got to listen to every Kendrick release with an ear to see if he's talking to or at Drake. But I didn't. Of course, I didn't take any of these bars as a direct shot to Drake.
Damaris
What about to you?
Mal
I think it to me.
Rory
Definitely not me.
Julian
Four plus four.
Rory
Why would we have RAM radio? Oh, he talked about radio personalities.
Mal
Yeah, that is. That is true. But no, I didn't take. Somebody had hit me and was like, yo, he's talking to all y'all podcasters. I was like, I mean, if you feel like that Cool. But overall, the message in the song I thought was cool.
Rory
I actually feel like a lot of it is what you preach daily. Yeah, this whole thing felt like you could have written it from pod form.
Julian
It's like a mall manifesto.
Rory
That's the irony of this entire thing.
Mal
Because, I mean, I understand what he's. The message. He's saying, like, you know, we need to get. Start talking about addressing more serious things, you know, shit in the community. We partying all the time. Like, you know, for what? Like, it's real issues going on. You know, drug addiction that's killing people in our community. You know, rest in peace. Rich Homie Quan recently passed from, you know, drug use. And it's just, you know, it's. The message is. Is what I was, you know, I was happy to hear, like, okay. Like, you know, I'm not mad at him putting that in the ecosystem right now. Especially coming off of the whole beef thing, it's kind of like, you know, we got other real shit going on that we need to address in our communities. So, yeah, for. For that, I, you know, I listened to it and I was like, okay. Like, I would have been really shocked if this was a dire. Another direct same shot at Drake. I would have been like, coming off the. There's no round twos and then now you drop this. And, you know, I just was like, I was happy that it wasn't that. I do respect the message. I do respect, you know, what he's talking about and what he's trying to bring light to in these bars. But, yeah, this is just. This is Kendrick, man. We all know this is what Kendrick does best when he's really rapping and putting bars together. But the message, watch the party die.
Rory
Which.
Mal
What does that mean? Does that mean that, you know, we should start taking things more serious? Let's stop acting like there's not issues going on. We can't keep masking our trauma with, you know, lifestyle partying, drugs and, you know, buying nice things, which is all, you know, and not just.
Rory
Not to say that partying and material items have never not been part of hip hop since its inception, but it has felt like hip hop as a reflection of society has leaned very, very much into prescription drugs. And that in itself has trickled down into pretty much what everything Kendrick is addressing in this entire thing. The party, I think, being the industry and the culture to some degree. And most of that is leaning on drugs. And you can hear it in the music. Not to say that there's not good positive music out There. And not to say there hasn't been bullshit before, but it feels like the stuff that's being pushed specifically right now is based off ops, gangs and fentanyl.
Mal
Yeah. So it's a very destructive energy.
Rory
I know a lot of people get upset at the person sitting on the soapbox preaching and, like, who are you. Who are you allowed to preach to us for? Like, what's your background? But I respect that Kendrick, at a time when he probably has the most eyes on him that he's ever had, coming off that beat Beef plus a Super bowl announcement, instead of doing something that would really benefit your career, more of a friendly song, even if it was positive, but more of a bop, if you will, or an album or something to really push your strings, put out a very damn near no drums message when you had all the eyes on you. Yeah, I respect it. I know some people wanted to hear either Not Like Us Part two, an album, another diss record. But I appreciated when the spotlight's on, this is how you decide to use your platform.
Julian
Yeah.
Rory
I think it's amazing.
Julian
And I'm. Yeah, the initial, you know, the blanket statement, damn, this shit, snooze fest, go mid trash, whatever. That's. I think the people that are saying that that's the critique Kendrick's trying to implement. I think he's assuming the role of redirecting the priorities of what hip hop is and restoring it to what Rory said earlier, the foundation of what Mall loves to preach so much about, the integrity and moral aspect which has clearly been lost in the current state of hip hop over the last however many years. So. And he dropped this, which I think is great. So the VMAs aired last night.
Rory
Had no idea.
Julian
Yeah. He released this song at the start time of the VMAs. I think was intentional because we're celebrating the very people that he was most likely talking about throughout this song. But, yeah, I think it's. Obviously, it's put in song form, but I would implore people to just read the lyrics because I think it reads more of, like, a. A sermon than a song. And I know people like Kendrick's, whatever. He beats his girl. Kendrick's not perfect. Nobody in hip hop's perfect. Kendrick can still be an asshole or a piece of shit for that act, for something bad that he did, but it doesn't negate this type of messaging and this type of, like, product that also I think is extremely important, needs to be shared more in the hip hop community. I mean, I love this record.
Mal
It's there now. Not to get it twisted. There are artists that have been and always have pushed this message.
Rory
Oh, hell yeah.
Mal
This is.
Rory
Kendrick didn't invest at the time that he has his biggest spotlight he's ever had on him. He chooses to do this.
Mal
Yeah, and I'm not. I'm not mad at that.
Rory
Kendrick's preacher.
Mal
Absolutely. So I'm not mad at that. It's just, you know, I think the timing of it, of this type of record is what kind of threw people off. But I understand why, like you said, him having as many eyes and ears on him, his. You know, him streaming as high as he's streaming right now. Whenever he drops something. This is the type of message he chose to put in that ecosystem and have, you know, people talking about it, whether good or bad, whether they call it a snooze fest, trash, whatever they want to call it.
Rory
Sometimes we need to leave the party and go home for a second.
Mal
He just want that message to get out there. So, you know, this was a. This was a pivot that we didn't expect. But I respect. I understand it. I understand why he did that. And, you know, this is what Kendrick does. This is a message that he always tries to put in his. In his songs, on his albums at some point. So it's on brand form. It's not nothing too far away from what Kendrick has always done.
Rory
And even though I do love this, and this is more in my bag when it comes to hip hop, I still love party music too. I still love.
Mal
You can have hip hop.
Rory
But there needs to be some balance. Like, I feel like the balance has just shifted drastically. Yeah, there's still a lot of positive, but it's just out.
Mal
But like you said, the radio is pushing propaganda, things like that. Like, you know, it's big money in trauma and death and drug use in. In our culture like this, you know, companies put big money behind those type of messages. So I understand what Kendrick is doing. But we can always party in hip hop. Let's. Let's not get that twisted. This is hip hop at the end of the day.
Rory
Kendrick, last song before this was a party record.
Mal
Exactly.
Julian
One of the lyrics I wanted to point out that stuck with me even on the first listen. I've since listened and read these so many times since. But this line, if you parade in gluttony without giving truth to the youth, the graveyard is company. Just tell us what casket you choose. That is that. And if I were to single out one line from this song, it would be that that. That is like the ethos of what this record to me, you gonna get that tatted is.
Rory
And I. I love the follow up of the line after party more than tell me what are you working for?
Julian
Yeah, yeah. The party is not alluding to, you know, it's the party meaning hip hop, meaning the. The genre, the system. It's not, you know, pun d, so.
Rory
Corporate and street shit. You covered all. All facets of what the culture is and the industry is right now. But I mean, if anyone felt away outside, like, if this didn't fall in your ears and this just isn't your type of music, cool. That's your taste.
Mal
Yeah.
Rory
But if you were like, offended by what he was saying, I think maybe this was about you.
Mal
Yeah, yeah. If you was offended by this, anybody offended by this is like, if you.
Rory
Were looking like, I mean, what the fuck is even talking about? He's talking about you. You're the person.
Mal
You're. You're part of the problem. I mean, but, you know, again, it's. It's a pivot. And I'm just glad because again, once we saw the artwork and somebody in the group chat said, I was like, wait, I thought it wasn't no round twos. Like now we back to.
Rory
But let's remember how strategic Kendrick was in the first round. I'm not saying this is a disrecord or part of a second round or even bait per se, but I'm sure it's attached to some bait if need be. This is connected to something if somebody feels like getting froggy.
Mal
No, I mean, well, Kendrick is an emcee. Like, he's going to always be prepared for that part of.
Rory
I'm saying this is a Lucy now, but it could be tied in the event that somebody would want to drop something. I'm sure there'll be a continue on.
Mal
Kendrick has. He has shit waiting to go if need be, if he feels like it's necessary. I just think right now he's looking at it like, you know, like, all right, cool. I got this, you know, this amazing, you know, momentum right now. Everybody's looking at me. Everybody's, you know, anytime I drop something, they're going right to it. This is what I want to put out there right now. I'm gonna put this message out.
Rory
The genius of it. It's kind of bulletproof. If we're putting this within the battle world. If Drake even kind of alludes to this even existing, it looks like he took it personal like this was about him. Yeah, that's why this shit is bulletproof to me. Because Kendrick be like, wait, I was not talking about you at all. Where do you see anything about you?
Mal
Right, Yeah, I didn't.
Rory
And if you do, then all right man, what's up with you then?
Mal
What's up? Yeah, yeah, I just, people just gotta, you know, again, I think because it's still, the battle is still kind of like lingering and fresh. I think people are just, you know, hypersensitive to any bar that may seem like, oh, he's talking about party next door. And he's talking.
Rory
It's like, nah, I didn't.
Mal
I'm just saying I don't think. Or people online was saying that and I'm just like, all right man.
Julian
But I think that's the miss. I think a lot of people are just looking for the literal and the surface. Yeah, I think think what makes this brilliant is Kendrick's clearly angry and he's been angry, but now his anger isn't targeted at a single person, it's targeted at the system. And he's. I think, you know when most artists get angry, they're mad at another rapper and they attack each other. And unfortunately a lot of times when rappers attack each other, someone ends up dying. Kendrick doesn't want. I don't think he's calling for harm on any single person. He's calling for a change.
Rory
He literally says that he was going to find all the radio personalities as corpses. He was talking to you. He wants you dead.
Julian
Sure. No, but I just think it's really awesome for him to challenge the, the so called like the faces behind the scenes, like the thems of the industry. Rather than turning his back or like pointing a gun at another artist and be like, this is your fault. I hate just you. This is not about a single person. It's about the whole thing.
Rory
And the. Oh God, I hate the word duality. I'm going to sound so corny now. Of usually it's the industry versus street and vice versa. Street hates industry, industry hates street. Tries to manipulate it, profit off it. He was shitting on. On the street guys too. Wasn't just the industry guys. Yeah, he hit both sides. So I, I thought that was also interesting because usually when people go this angle, they either go after one or the other.
Julian
Fun fact real quick in terms of just important dates throughout this timeline. The pop out show was on Juneteenth. The Not Like Us video was on July 4th. The Super bowl announcement which was recent. And then this surprise drop happened on 9 11. So people are targeting, like, other major dates coming up as potential release dates. Rory, you mentioned tomorrow is the anniversary of Pac's death.
Rory
Yeah.
Julian
Which falls on a Friday, which would be a release day. It's also a Friday the 13th. People are speculating that people are throwing out. Maybe Halloween is another date. Drake's birthday is another date.
Damaris
Is coming up.
Julian
Columbus Day.
Rory
When's the victory over Japan Day?
Julian
True. Yeah. Arbor Day. Arbor Day's in April.
Mal
What do we say about now?
Rory
We have to wait till April for the Kendrick album because, you know, he's like money trees.
Mal
Hey, wait. Yo, they be having think pieces like this. Like, look at every holiday.
Rory
And those think pieces get 1.5 million views in an hour.
Mal
Oh, my God.
Julian
Yeah. Oh, and by the way, I think.
Rory
That'S cool that that happens now from this battle, because now people are doing that breakdown reactive shit to, like, real lyrics. Before, that shit was reactions to bullshit.
Mal
Yeah.
Rory
I love the kids now that are doing these breakdowns because finally people are breaking down actual hip hop.
Mal
Yeah, but break it down, like, calendar dates. Like, like, like, yeah, man.
Rory
I mean, I like it. People are obsessing over hip hop. Not over the bullshit within hip hop.
Mal
But is it over hip hop or is it over two people that are at odds right now?
Rory
It definitely sparks from a back and forth and rap beef. But if that's what get these kids to actually try to understand lyrics, I'm with it. If that's what it took. Of course it was just because that was going to get clicks. But these kids are doing real research. They're not just bullshitting.
Julian
Yeah.
Rory
So if that's what it takes. Cool.
Julian
You mentioned people doing thing pieces on our last or most recent Patreon episode. Lecrae was our guest. The third verse starts with, sometimes I wonder what Lecrae would do.
Rory
That's what I was getting to next.
Mal
That's.
Rory
That's the real theory.
Mal
And then my phone started ringing about all the shit that y'all was talking about. I'm like, all right, what are we doing right now?
Rory
This is the rumor. I can not deny or confirm. I didn't speak to DJ Head or anyone, but there is a rumor that Kendrick did watch our Lecrae interview and decided to add that in as a dig to you and then put this out.
Mal
Yeah. Nah. And it was like a full moon last night too, right?
Julian
And it was September 11th.
Mal
Nah. Kendrick is diabolical.
Rory
Do you love that word?
Mal
Where's that word in the search engine? Like, can we search that? How far up is Diabolical Right now it's pretty high.
Julian
If he named his album Diabolical.
Mal
Anytime Kendrick dropped Diabolical, gotta shoot up the Google, like, search thing.
Rory
I mean, but why. Why do you think he was wondering what Lecrae would do? Because he just saw him sitting next to mall.
Mal
Well, he showed you in the next.
Rory
And now you can't even diss it.
Mal
He told you the next ball.
Rory
That's what he would do. He'd sit with you.
Mal
He told you the next ball up, or just show them just what prayer do.
Rory
And he was talking about you. That was an act of violence.
Mal
Lecrae.
Rory
No, towards you.
Mal
Oh, okay.
Julian
The sound bite that was going around from a Lecrae interview was he was asked about Drake and Kendrick and he said, quote, ghostwriters aside, he's a great rapper. Referring to Drake, he said, but Drake is a fan of the culture. Kendrick is a product of the culture. It's a difference.
Mal
Kendrick is a fan of the culture too. Like what? See, I said I fuck with Le Cray, but he ain't really say nothing right there. Kendrick is not a fan. Kendrick's not a fan of the culture.
Rory
I'm not. First of all, I'm not completely agreeing with him. But you don't see what he's saying. Drake is from outside the culture, just studied it, was a huge fan of it, so he joined it. Kendrick is actually part of it. He was born into it, and he's a product of what the culture is.
Mal
All right, so why do you say Drake was born outside of the culture?
Rory
People would suggest that he was.
Mal
I don't know. Why did you.
Rory
I've seen him rap fugees as a kid.
Mal
Yeah, but you just.
Rory
I said I didn't agree with him, but that's pretty much what Kendrick was alluding to through the entire beef, that you're not part of the culture. You're an outsider.
Mal
Yeah, and that's. We.
Julian
That's. They not like us.
Mal
But. Okay, but so you're saying you. You're in agreements with that.
Rory
No, I started with saying I. I don't agree with this. Okay, but I see what he's saying. He. He didn't say a bunch of nothing. He's saying that Drake is just. He's a fan. He obsessed and studied it and then just joined the culture and put on his rapper suit.
Mal
Kendrick is a fan too. You don't think Kendrick is a fan.
Rory
Of the culture, but he was. He's a fan of it because he was already part of it. That's not he had no choice but to be a part of it.
Mal
That's not.
Rory
I'm just telling you what he's saying, man.
Mal
He had no choice but to be a part of it.
Rory
I've never been to west side Piru. I don't fucking know.
Damaris
Okay, let's. Let's break down. He had no choice but to be a part of the culture. Yes.
Mal
Who.
Damaris
When we say the culture, we're not talking about being a rapper. We're talking about the culture of the. The entire span of hip hop culture. There was no way that he could have avoided hip hop culture growing up. How he grew up. Not avoid being a rapper, avoid hip hop culture. The culture is the way that we dress.
Mal
So you think there's no hip hop culture in Toronto? Is that what you're saying?
Damaris
No, that's not what I'm saying. What I just said was. What I just said was Kendrick had no choice but to be a part of the culture.
Mal
Y'all are making change right now.
Rory
That's not what we're saying whatsoever.
Mal
It sound like that's what y'all say. I can't be saying that. There's no hip hop culture in Toronto. Y'all can't say that, though. No, that's what I just said. Y'all can't be saying that. So what are y'all saying?
Damaris
Okay, there's probably.
Rory
There's probably people. There's probably people born in Compton that are not hip hop fans and are not into the hip hop culture, but they are a part of that culture. We are not saying that there is not hoods in Toronto or a rap scene in Toronto. You are mistaking us drastically.
Mal
All right, so like I originally said.
Rory
But you can be from the outside of that and not be a part of it. You could be in the hood in Toronto and not be part of the rap culture because you just have other interests. Not everyone in the fucking hood loves hip hop for sure. But, yeah, don't tell anyone. I think what Lecrae is trying to say, that Drake was still an outsider and just studied it from the outside and put on his rapper costume and decided to say, I'm part of the culture.
Mal
Now he's cosplaying.
Rory
That's what a lot of people. I don't think that, but plenty of people think battle.
Julian
That's been a knock on him.
Rory
Yeah.
Julian
Whether or not he grew up in Toronto.
Mal
And if that's what I didn't know, that's another thing that is just ridiculous to say. Aside from everything else that's been said in that battle. Oh, cool.
Rory
We're just trying to explain. You said. You said a bunch of nothing. We were trying to explain it just.
Julian
Optically, I think for a casual. When you look at it and you see that Drake has the. He was in Memphis for a while and then he went down to the islands and then became, you know, the Miami rapper and then took on the like, Jamaican, like, optically, people be like, okay, well, what is he. Because we've seen him do so many variations of other cultures.
Rory
But back to the holiday predictions. I do not think that Kendrick is going to drop on September 13th. As calculated as he is, I can't see him dropping this early now that he announced the Super Bowl. I think it'll be a little closer end of this side of the year or top of next.
Mal
That he'll drop a project.
Rory
Yeah, closer to the Super Bowl. I can't see him dropping now. I'd love for him to drop and. I don't know, maybe that would make sense. And those records catch and he can perform those at the Super Bowl. Maybe that gives enough lead time for it to become a hit that he could do there. But I don't see him dropping this far away from the Super Bowl.
Mal
Yeah, I don't. I think he'll drop closer. Much closer to February or right after the Super Bowl. I don't think that he'll. He'll give anything in this 2024. I don't think he'll give us an album this year.
Rory
Just why I think it would be before is just how much streams you get that night. Maybe he would want to have that new project already sitting there. Cause I don't know. Do the streams continue or is the spike really just that day?
Mal
No, the spike is when you announced. When the artist is announced.
Julian
Yeah, currently.
Mal
Currently. So there's a spike obviously now as far as people searching Kendrick and his music and then definitely leading right up to it.
Rory
Oh, yeah, I'm sure the week of.
Mal
With all the run, more commercials and things like that. So, yeah, I think January, probably February, definitely he'll have some. He'll have an album out. I don't know if he'll perform anything new from the album. I think he probably already has his set list and. Cause they start rehearsals release right now. Yeah, I think they're probably rehearsing now next month for the show. So I think his set list is probably pretty much set. But it is gonna be interesting to hear the album, though. Like, if this is a glimpse of the energy that he's on with Watch the Party Die. If that is the name of the record, then it's gonna be interesting to hear, you know, what else he has around that. Because we talked about Mr. Morale, that album and how it listened and definitely performed like a playbook. It definitely felt like it was a play. So we know that Kendrick is. When it comes to albums, there's usually a deeper. You know, it's like the deeper you go into the album, it's like turning pages, things like that. So, I mean, it's gonna be interesting to see if he stays with that or because of the new. You know, just this big spike that he's had in his. In his career as far as streaming and all of these new ears and eyes on him.
Rory
If he's gonna try to like still streaming, fine.
Mal
No, I'm not. But it's obviously a spike.
Rory
I don't think he'll change the. I think it's a great example of he won't change the type of music he makes because of more eyes on him or more.
Mal
Does he go more this on the album or more.
Rory
I don't know. We got that snippet before the Not Like Us video that I thought sounded like a pharrell beat. I don't know if it was the Kamasi line that you swear that we. We all obsessed over.
Mal
Yeah, yeah, I went crazy over there.
Rory
I mean, but the Trump, like you didn't get. He holds a horn. Yeah, but it was a gun.
Julian
That's what he was saying.
Mal
There's like a whole bunch of think pieces on YouTube about that.
Rory
That was definitely more in the up tempo. I think we'll get a mixed bag. I don't really see it going over 12 records. I think with all the eyes on Kendrick, I think this would be the time that he would do the perfect, quote unquote, perfect hip hop album that we've asked Drake to do. Not to say good kid. Mad City isn't a classic, but you know the one that everyone talks like, it can't be more than 11 records. That type of classic hip hop album.
Mal
Nah, he definitely giving us more than 11 tracks. That's a fact.
Julian
Maybe this one was. Last album was 18.
Rory
Yeah, I could see. I could see him doing some DMX slash, Frank Ocean type too. Two albums in one year or two albums back to back or one at the end of the year and then right before the Super Bowl, I could see two albums coming out of this in a faster pace than we think.
Mal
Well, he did say back to back. I Like that record. We'll get back to that. Something like that.
Rory
See, I didn't even look at that. I'm cooking and I didn't realize.
Damaris
Well, that was because. Yeah, because of the sample songs also.
Mal
You think. See, or so you think.
Rory
Drake told me has to do a bunch of tandres. So he did it.
Julian
Since the announcement, Not Like Us is now number one again on the Billboard hip hop R B chart.
Rory
They were sing. They were singing it in Vegas.
Julian
That's why I went number one again.
Rory
What they were. What's funny, though, that was Andreas where they were playing Not Like Us. We went to a few other spots. It is funny how much people, like, don't care about that rap beef and how much like, Drake played for, like, 30 minutes straight.
Damaris
Yeah, I never saw that changing, though.
Rory
Me either. But it's just different. Like, going to Vegas, which probably, like, represents that Middle America crowd that's there for the weekend to party, and they just want to hear hit records. Like, the first pool party I went to with my godbrother, they played Drake dubstep remixes for, like, 30 minutes straight.
Mal
While we're talking about super bowl and, you know, Kendrick album dropping. When did it drop? Yeah, so after the episode, the last episode, I guess it was a bombshell.
Rory
You got a lot of backlash.
Mal
Bombshell that Drake turned down the super bowl before and Mall's lying. Is it? I just. Just listening and reading and seeing it is very simple. So either people think, one, Drake has never been offered a school performance.
Rory
Yep.
Mal
Or two, he would never turn it down. So which one is it? Do we feel like he's never been offered a Super bowl performance?
Rory
Well, before we get there, let's start with pretty much every media outlet within hip hop and outside of hip hop picked up your quote. And it was fun to just see Drake turns down super bowl and then dash Maul. Like, that was fun to just see in, like, headlines and shit.
Mal
Yeah, it was. Unk said what he said.
Rory
All caps.
Mal
I said what I said. It was me and unknown.
Rory
And I mean, you know, I've seen you go through this for the past and whatever. Two months this battle's been going on. All the Kendrick fans be in your mentions, adding you saying shit. This one confused me the most, though.
Mal
Why?
Rory
Why would someone think Drake, who has a deal with Apple Music, was not offered the super bowl in his lifetime?
Damaris
People are so.
Mal
I don't know.
Rory
Like, I didn't think that was a crazy take, but.
Mal
Right. But I'm, I, I'm. It's like because then they gonna say, oh, he glazing. It's like, y'all are just stupid.
Rory
He's one of the biggest artists in the world.
Mal
Y'all don't have common sense. Like, nobody. So now y'all feel like Drake was never offered because to say that he didn't turn it down, you would essentially be saying that he was never offered the job. Yeah, because if he was offered it, you feel like he would have performed.
Rory
From my understanding, Rihanna turned it down before she did it.
Mal
A bunch of artists turned down the Super Bowl.
Julian
Adele's turned it down.
Mal
A bunch of artists have turned down a Super bowl perform. And it's not like they don't want to do it ever. It's just that the timing, when they asked me to do it, I got other shit going on. It really wouldn't benefit me.
Damaris
Because you're not paid to do the Super Bowl.
Rory
But not. But not even.
Mal
But it benefits certain artists. Because everybody doesn't stream like Drake.
Damaris
Yes, exactly.
Mal
So when he's already the guy that's streaming more than everybody, and that's the thing that benefits you the most as an artist is your streams go crazy, then he would essentially be doing a free show.
Rory
Well, I obviously don't. No. But I don't think any artist has done the super bowl in the streaming era thinking, oh, great, my streams are gonna go up. Let me do this. I think all of them stream at an elite level where that doesn't matter. I think it's more of an artist checklist thing. Because everyone that does a Super bowl is either on their way to being a legend or already a legend. I think it's a checklist thing. Like, as an artist, like, I'm doing the super bowl now. I think Drake has been offered and was probably working on an album already on tour. Didn't make sense at the time.
Mal
I understand that. But somebody like Rihanna obviously doesn't need no money. But if she doesn't put out an album in eight years and she does a Super bowl and now her album that she put out eight years ago starts streaming, Fucking crazy. That benefits her there.
Rory
I think it would benefit her the most.
Damaris
Streaming, but, like, advertising wise and just bringing light to her.
Mal
Exactly.
Rory
And also, like, we've all actively been asking for a Rihanna album for seven, eight years, and she makes fun of us all the time, which I appreciate us begging for the album. This was a good way to fill some time. Like, hey, remember me? I'm an artist.
Julian
And remember, she.
Rory
I'm not just at Sephora.
Julian
She used it to debut a new Fenty product. Remember that?
Damaris
And a baby.
Julian
And a baby. During the. During the show, she applied some lips triple on Dangerous.
Rory
She went nuts on that.
Mal
I just. Yeah, I just, you know, reading some of the comments and ats and things that people were saying, I'm just reading them shits. Like, people are just not. Who do y'all. I get it. Whatever side of this battle you're on, but let's not forget who Drake is. Like, that's just my only thing before this battle. Let's not forget who Drake is. Like, what are we talking about here? So y'all don't think he was ever offered to perform at the Super?
Rory
No, I don't. I don't think the guy that had the first real deal with Apple Music was offered. It's just the Apple Music Super Bowl.
Mal
It's insane. The things that people just have convenient amnesia about. Like, what the are we talking about here?
Rory
Mall's gonna fuck around and have the NFL release a statement saying they never contacted Drake to do the Super Bowl. That's how far that went, but it shocked me.
Mal
Well, tell me.
Damaris
Yeah, that's a problem.
Mal
Who posted that?
Rory
Somebody on Twitter.
Damaris
I don't know.
Mal
Mr. Busby. 4 8. Well, let me know when the super bowl releases that statement.
Rory
I think he was joking.
Mal
Well, let me know when the NFL releases that statement that they never contacted Drake to perform. Let me know.
Rory
He wasn't the problem. It was more of like. Like these people that were just like. How do you think? Senseless.
Mal
Who is this with? No, who is that? More senseless?
Rory
Yeah, you. You sound. You sound like my dad. I don't know, some IP address.
Mal
Who's this? Who is that? Like, who is that?
Rory
Who's on the screen?
Damaris
Yeah, I just. I mean, I. Like, if. Yeah, if you were giving an opinion, that's fine. But like, you saying something that's just kind of like common sense is just.
Mal
I think it's the fact that I said multiple times. Three or four times, I believe.
Damaris
I think you said four times.
Mal
Four times.
Rory
Which isn't four times shocking to me.
Mal
How is that shocking to anybody? How.
Julian
What I've said, because Rory and I were speaking about this. I'm glad you wanted to talk about this because I think you're right. Obviously, it's Drake. He's been offered. But I think the problem is the messenger that broke this news that nobody else we were aware of. If it weren't you, then I think other people would be more receptive to.
Mal
No, they Wanted me to do the corny shit and say, hey, I spoke to Drake and he told me that he turned it. They wanted that corny.
Rory
But no, a lot of.
Julian
I think people just don't want to hear it from you because you were so loyal to Drake in the battle that universally most people think he lost. And they think your blind loyalty means you'll say anything to make Drake look good.
Rory
Or they. Drake is giving him information to give out that is false. Which is a very stupid theory.
Julian
But yeah, they also.
Rory
That is a big theory online that Drake is using. He was a mouthpiece. Like, all right, Kendrick did the super bowl shit. I'm gonna tell Maul that I had it four times. Like, that's what they think.
Mal
So they think.
Rory
And instead of listening to, hey, Drake turned down the super bowl, which is completely believable, they are now putting it through their brain as far as Maul said it. So it must be some lie to get over on Kendrick.
Mal
Like, this had this. That's me saying that had nothing to do with Kendrick. We said Kendrick. Kendrick probably got offered to do the super bowl before this shit.
Damaris
Yeah, for sure.
Mal
He was one of the ones that we felt like would eventually do that when Hul.
Rory
I'm sure that they had a conversation.
Mal
I wasn't saying that kind of shit on Kendrick doing it. I was just saying, like, yo, he turned it down. Like, he's been offered it. But I didn't think that that was groundbreaking earth shattering news that Kendra, that Drake got offered a Super bowl performance and didn't take it. Like a bunch of. Like you said, Adele's gotten it. Rihanna got it before she accepted it. Like, it's a bunch of people that turn that shit down.
Rory
Like, the crazy thing would have been if you came here and been like, they offered it to Kanye this year and he said no.
Mal
Right? That would have been. That would have been shit to shake.
Rory
The fucking man's lying.
Mal
Yeah. Like, that's like, okay, he just up there saying anything. But like, to think that Drake either didn't get offered or wouldn't turn it down is just fucking stupid. Like, I just. I don't know, man. I. I get it. People online, the phones are smart.
Damaris
Rory, the phones are smart. I think it's also not.
Mal
The people behind the phones are smart.
Damaris
When you're talking about normal people, just like regular day to day people who aren't in the entertainment industry. I think some things are so astronomical to them. Like something like the super bowl performance is so big to them. To think that someone could obtain it and not actually use it or want to do it. It's just. They're like, why would he not want to do it? And it's like, because he has other shit going on that's actually going to pay him money than to take time out to prepare for this whole entire performance and schedule damn near half his year around this performance that's making him no money that he's actually going to spend money to do.
Mal
I wonder if he does it.
Rory
And God willing, he lives a long life. I'm sure there's artists that have that super bowl checklist that they want to do at the latter part of their legacy.
Mal
Yeah, yeah.
Rory
Like, once I. I'm gonna do all my hits from the beginning of my career to the end. I don't want to do it in the middle, like, when I'm hot right now.
Damaris
Exactly.
Rory
So, yeah, I can totally see someone doing that. I mean, I don't think Adele would have done the super bowl by now.
Mal
I just. I don't know, man. I. You know, I'm having fun with this, though. It's just fun to read and fun to watch. But I promise you, Drake isn't feeding me fake info, and I'm running back to my platform regurgitating shit that we said. It's a bunch of shit that I've spoken about with a bunch of people that I would never say publicly. So that theory, y'all can just do away with that Drake has been offered the super bowl and has turned it down multiple times. That's not far fetched to believe. And if you don't believe it, then, I mean, hey, it is what it is. Who gives a. Yeah, like who? If you don't believe that Drake has been offered a Super bowl performance. Listen, man, you got it, bro. I don't know what to tell you.
Rory
The other beef. Big beef.
Mal
What's the beef? They're eating the dogs.
Rory
Are you getting up and leaving? I thought you were protesting. Listen, I'm just as scared for this topic as you are, but as a. As a family, we'll all. All get through this together, listeners included. So the debate was on Tuesday evening. Kamala Harris versus the former President Donald Trump. And it was a doozy.
Mal
Into sports.
Julian
And check in with the weather Damaris.
Rory
Because you're a girl and, like, remember, you know, they throw the women.
Julian
Yeah, you got to show your tits. You know how they do it?
Mal
All right, so the presidential debate.
Rory
You can hit him.
Mal
It's fine.
Julian
No, that's what the. You get like the Mexican Weather woman.
Mal
They just show their Mexican weather woman.
Julian
That's like a thing. Telemunda or whatever.
Rory
But seriously, again, I'm.
Julian
I'm Univision.
Rory
I predicted that no one would really answer very much in this debate, and they didn't answer much at all. I will say, as far as optics and perception goes, Kamala smoked his fucking.
Julian
We can be honest. Trump got cooked.
Rory
Smoked his fucking boots.
Julian
Trump got fucking cooked.
Rory
He had a temperate syndrome. Melted down.
Mal
You over there, like, I didn't say anything. I didn't say anything. Maul has not said anything. Mal didn't say anything. Even though I'm concerned about the dogs that are being eaten. That's all I need to. Who's eating the fucking Frenchies is what I want to know.
Rory
Mall, you know all this shit. When it comes to these debates, it's a circus. It's perception. Both of them lied. But when it came down to who beat who in the debate, your man got smoked. He threw a temper tantrum. He screamed your favorite line. I don't care. If at one point she did say that she would allow illegal immigrants to get transgender surgery in prison, he still lost.
Julian
That's a wild bar.
Rory
That's insane.
Julian
She wants to do operations on illegal aliens that are in prison. Yo. When. What was the jab that she threw that rocked him? Oh, when she. She's like, I implore all of you to go to his rallies. Because I will admit, at the first 10, 15 minutes, Trump was.
Rory
Yeah, he was.
Julian
She was clearly visibly nervous, and you could hear it in her. See it in her body language and how she was speaking. But then she just took the reins with the line where she said, I implore you all, even people that support me, to go to his rallies. And you'll see, like, how exhausting they could become, and people will just leave. And she just broke down how, like, shitty those things have been going for him, and he just couldn't take it. Like, the transcript, if you read it, like, 10 seconds later, he's talking about the dogs and the Haitians and then the illegal transgender aliens. It's like, dude, like, he is. It was like a gut punch that he never recovered from.
Rory
And I believe the question was initially, like, about health care.
Mal
Yeah.
Rory
And she just threw that shot in there. And he's. He argues like a manipulator. They will focus on the least important point of the whole paragraph you just said and just hone in on that. She said a whole bunch of great. About health care.
Mal
She. She didn't do that in the Debate.
Rory
Oh, she, she was asked questions and then went to a completely different topic in her answer.
Mal
So she did the same thing?
Rory
100%. Yeah, she just did it better. I don't think you listen when I talk. I said they both fucking. Did not answer anything.
Damaris
No, I'm just asking their politicians. They lie.
Julian
The first question was, you're literally the current like vice president. What do you. What's your economic plan? And she said, I grew up with ghetto black people. What the fuck does that have to do with anything? She's like my friend in high school, school was like touched. It's like, what does that have to do with anything?
Mal
Yeah, she's part of the culture, though. She's. She was born in it.
Rory
Well, she's Jamaican.
Mal
Molded by it. Trump didn't see the, he didn't see the culture until it was a man.
Rory
Dropping some queens, man. He's from the culture.
Mal
No, he was born.
Rory
He was the culture.
Mal
At one point, 100 drive up the west side Highway. You'll see it. Absolutely.
Rory
But yeah, it was, it was not a good outing for Trump. I will say the things I did take away from her that I did not like outside of not really answering questions. I don't know, like what that Dick Cheney co sign for the left did for you. Kamala, like when she was like, I have 200 Republicans that are co signing me and not Donald Trump anymore, including Dick Cheney. I was like, well, I don't think I want to be on the side that Dick Cheney co signs. Then she said, my financial plan, Goldman Sachs went through it and they think it's great. I was like, I don't know if I want Goldman Sachs to love that plan. But then it goes over to Trump and he's like, yo, I got plans. What are your plans? I'm working on them.
Damaris
No, he said, he said, I have the. I have a concept of a plan. I'm not president yet.
Julian
The concept of a plan is crazy.
Damaris
I got money on my mind. I don't know how I'm going to get it, but I'm a get it.
Rory
And I'm trying to just laugh through all this so I don't get depressed. But they played in our faces for 90 fucking minutes.
Mal
There you go.
Rory
Both of them played in our fucking faces, I think. But I knew going into it, I wasn't looking for answers in this debate.
Julian
She, she really, it's, it's because I really not the biggest fan of. I don't give a shit about either of them. But she did do a really great job. I think up to this point, the criticism with her has been, okay. What has she honestly been doing for the last three and a half years? We've never heard her name. All of a sudden, Biden drops out because he's dead. And now she's getting propped up in this position of power, and everyone's like, kamala's the one. Even though we've never heard her speak, we've haven't seen her do anything action, actionable, and this was her time to prove her worth. And if she fell flat, then the Democratic Party would be in a lot of trouble. But she fucking delivered. I think she delivered so much so that Taylor Swift was confident enough to support her. I think if she bombed and Trump won this thing, I'm dead serious.
Rory
You know what? I have another point.
Julian
Name a more influential person than Taylor Swift in music, in pop culture. If Kamala got smoked. If Kamala got smoked, Taylor would not jump out with portrait of her cat and be like, I support Mala.
Mal
They're eating the.
Rory
You know what? Had a lot to do with too, though. And I. I'm here to apologize to Damaris, even though every time I ask for an apology, when I'm. I need one, she says off. I'm here to apologize. However. Many months ago, when we had the debate about the AI with Taylor Swift, and I was like, yo, who gives a? Like, she's clearly not on the field. And you're like, well, okay, from here. Where does this AI shit go, go? And then Trump's team put out that fake AI Shit that she was on Trump's side now and going to endorse Trump. I think that was a huge reason why she endorsed Kamala because Trump did some stupid AI bullshit and made it look like she endorsed him. So she was like, all right, bet I'm going to hold a cat that's being eaten. And.
Julian
But the timing. It was the timing of this that made me really believe what I'd said. Because she waited. It was like maybe 10 minutes after the debate when it was clear the public perception was Kamala smoked his ass. Then she was like, ok, okay, I feel comfortable now.
Rory
And she freestyled that caption 10 minutes after, right?
Julian
No, this didn't have. No, I'm saying this whole thing.
Mal
That's what I'm laughing at, what Julian is saying, because no matter what happened at that debate, she wouldn't have posted this.
Julian
If Kamala got smoked, she wouldn't have.
Mal
She would cut the cut. The.
Damaris
Post was scheduled against what he said.
Mal
Cut the Shit.
Damaris
Not completely against what he said. I don't think she would have supported Trump. I don't think she could have ever outwardly supported Trump because of the stigma behind his name. But if Trump would have smoked Kamala, I'm not so sure she would have. She might think she would have. She might not have.
Rory
She would have had to say some crazy shit like, yo, they're eating the dogs and cats.
Mal
I would have still posted this, bro. This is a fucking PR rollout. Yeah, this was going out as soon as the debate ended, no matter what you feel like happened at the debate.
Rory
So this was going out between Hulk Hogan and her. Like, who do you think team's doing better as far as wrangling in these celebrities?
Julian
I don't know, but Elon Musk said he was cool. Taylor, congrats on your support. I'll cream pie you and give you a kid. He said something like that. That. So he's cool.
Damaris
I'm sorry, who said that?
Julian
Elon Musk.
Damaris
Oh, okay.
Julian
He's such a loser.
Rory
Is going on. On Twitter.
Julian
He said, fine, Taylor, you win. I will give you a child and guard your cats with my life.
Mal
Where did he say cream pie? What?
Julian
He's saying, I will give you a child.
Mal
Where did he say he will cream pie you at? Right there.
Julian
I will give you a chop.
Mal
But where did he say cream pie?
Damaris
Like, you made it sound like he was sexually assaulting or sexually harassing her, and that's a little.
Rory
I will give you a child.
Julian
I will give you a child.
Damaris
Elon Musk. He could probably, like, kidnap you a child and just hand you one or make you one. Yeah, I was gonna say he's a clone.
Julian
I think he's built like a cybertruck.
Mal
Well, bottom line, how confident are y'all in Kamala's ability to be the President of the United States?
Julian
To win or be the president?
Rory
Yeah, that's your ask. Which question?
Julian
I think. I think now.
Mal
Well, if she wins, she's going to be the president.
Julian
No, I. I. Yeah, I was gonna say, say, who do I think is going to win the election at this current state? Kamala.
Rory
Yeah, I think Kamala, But I think it's still a very, very tight race. But again, debates.
Damaris
I have no comment.
Rory
Don't shift as much as we think they do.
Mal
No, it's the Taylor Swift post that got all the swing states.
Rory
But if it is very. If it is very, very, very tight the way both sides have reported that it is. Yeah. A couple thousand votes can matter, and Taylor probably Has a couple thousand votes in her team.
Mal
Okay, well, we, we shall see. The election is what, 50 something days away?
Rory
Yeah. But I think early voting starts next week.
Mal
Do we think they'll, they'll let them debate again or.
Julian
Kamala asked her and her team asked for a debate immediately after that night. They, they requested another debate.
Mal
And yeah, Trump, I saw that 3v1. Y'all saw that, right?
Julian
Yeah, totally. And Trump has not responded or. But this is the thing with Trump we were saying before we recorded. If he won and he keeps repeating that he won, then do it again. Go up there and do say the exact same talking points. Do all the claims that you did. Because if you smoked it the first time, why not just repeat it again? I just don't think he has anyone on his team that's honest with him or that can be honest with him. Be like, dude, no.
Rory
Okay, so you're 3v1 thing. Cool. I do think Trump did a good job of fact checking her a few times where the moderators didn't have to. And I think they would have. But yes, they were fact checking Trump. But his, his stuff was a bit more egregious where I feel like anyone that happened to be standing there, even Meek Mill, who got tickets, I don't know if you saw that on Twitter. He was there. I even feel like Meek would be like, bro, there's really no reports of like dogs being eaten by Haitians in Ohio. So I don't really think it was that crazy of a 3v1. I want Chris Wallace to do the next debate if it happens. He's one. Even though he's from Fox and Republican all that. He's one of the fairest moderators I've ever seen in a debate or an interview. He'll give pushback to both sides. He smoked Trump on a, on Fox News in an interview when he was in office. Like he's. Even though he is team Republican, he's pretty unbiased when it comes to this shit. They can't have the far left or far right ever do these debates. As far as monitors, it's just never going to work. You're never going to get a fair, fair conversation.
Mal
Yeah, he didn't. Trump didn't get a fair. The moderators were clearly, you know, had some type of energy for Trump that they didn't have for commonly I think that was apparent.
Rory
But I thought, thought he was king. I thought nothing could phase him. Not even, not even a bullet.
Mal
It's not about anything phasing.
Rory
He could Take a bullet to the head but can't deal with the chicken from of him.
Mal
It's not about anything phasing him. It's about the moderators are clearly biased towards him. That was clear. But I mean, he still did. Did the debate. It wasn't going to back out of it.
Rory
He agreed to go to abc.
Mal
That's why I said he agreed to do it. It is what it is. But if, if they did push back.
Rory
To Kamala and they hosted it on Fox, I'd be like, well, Kamala, you, you decided to go to Fox. What the did you think was going to happen?
Mal
Yeah, but I don't.
Rory
You're looking at Sean Hannity. You thought he'd be on your side.
Mal
Yeah, I don't know. Either way, the debate was entertaining for me. I, I laughed at a lot of it. All of this I really don't care about. I think all. Again, all politicians lie. Who can lie the best? Who can lie to make people go out and vote for them? Then they get in office and all of the they promise doesn't happen. Trump spoke to a bunch of those things about student loans and things like that that they used the last time that they fell flat on. But we'll have to see people. I want them to debate again. Again. Just because it's entertaining. Yeah, I just want to see another debate.
Julian
I would like to see another one.
Mal
Yeah, it. Let's give us another debate. But again, I don't know if that, if anything moved. I think Kamala definitely did better than I expected her to do. I will say that. Yeah, I was expecting her to go up there. This is somebody that never even ran or won a primary, I think. And then now they're debating for the presidency. I think it's just like it's the American dream. Well, yeah, I mean, just push it right on through and just make it a president, I guess.
Rory
But like, like all presidents.
Mal
Yeah, exactly. But hopefully they debate again because that was entertaining. I had a lot of fun watching that. Definitely had a lot of fun watching that.
Rory
And since we're coming off the heels of 911, I just want to say out loud, Dick, Jenny, and we can. And we can move on.
Mal
Yeah, I like it. I like that energy right there.
Rory
Halliburton still a company. I'm sure. I'm sure they're thriving. Who did Halliburton endorse?
Mal
Some more news about Diddy. Hit the. Hit the, hit the net. Former Danity Kane member Dawn. Dawn Richard. She has. She is suing Diddy, saying That he allegedly. He groped and threat. Threatened her. I think she also in the report says that he exposed himself to her. You know, but again, things you're not supposed to be doing to your.
Rory
Yes. Especially to your end.
Mal
The reason why, to me this was. This was like, damn. When this came out is because dawn has always been the one person that has. She's been fairly quiet through a lot of, you know, rumblings and things like that. Some former Danity Kane members have been very vocal about their experiences with Bad Boy and with Diddy, but Dawn has been one of the ones that even after all of that Danity Kane was over, she continued to work with Puff. Yeah.
Rory
Put another album out.
Mal
Put an incredible album out. Classic Last Train to Paris. So to hear her say these things and come out and drop this lawsuit was. I mean, not that anything else can shock us at this point about Puff, but this was definitely something where it was like, I didn't expect to see dawn come out and drop a lawsuit. So this was definitely some shocking news.
Rory
Why I wasn't super shocked was to your point of her staying quiet for a while, doing the Last Train to Paris album, other Dirty Money records. She then went on Twitter when the Cassie paperwork came out. Not when that video dropped. Dropped, but just when the case went public. She tweeted in Cassie's defense and her support. That was like, a big thing for me as far as, like, oh, he's guilty. If dawn, who's been quiet and riding with him for a very long time. And then, remember when Puff tried to give everyone their publishing back, she was, I think, one of two artists that said no to that deal because it came with an NDA. That's why Puff was giving everyone their masters back.
Mal
Gotcha.
Rory
Like, he wasn't doing that out of the kindness of.
Mal
What's the other girl from Danity Kane mean? She was very vocal about.
Rory
She was one of the other artists that did not take that publishing.
Mal
Yeah.
Rory
Because no, you're doing this. So I have an NDA, so I can't sue you or speak about anything that Huff knew was about to come out. Yeah, dawn said that. And then when the Cassie paperwork dropped, she was free to speak on Twitter and stance for Cassie.
Mal
Yeah.
Rory
So that was shocking to me at that time. This coming out now all makes sense to me. So, I mean, I hope she gets her justice. Your man in Michigan got his justice.
Mal
That part of the case is wild. I still don't understand.
Rory
Are we allowed to laugh at this one?
Mal
I laughed at it. Cause I thought it was fake.
Rory
For those that don't know, there's a gentleman locked up in Michigan right now that just won a hundred million dollar lawsuit against puff. One didn't file. One. He is currently serving 75 years in prison for, guess what, Sexual assault and kidnapping.
Mal
Insane.
Rory
And I guess the only reason he won this hundred million dollars is because Puff did not show up to the lawsuit. He was suing Puff for drugging him and him at a party, I guess.
Julian
No, it's not what Demera said.
Rory
That's. I read. Drugged him and assaulted him.
Damaris
He's. No, they were having. They were run. They. It was two women and those two. They were having group sex and they said he was having sex with the woman and he. Diddy reached over and grabbed his ass. Then later on, Diddy allegedly drugged him and he woke up and Diddy was having sex with a woman in front of him. And Diddy say, yeah, I just did that same thing to you.
Julian
Oh, that's different. Yeah, Well, I don't want that 100 million anymore.
Rory
LAURENCE Fishburne is in cash.
Julian
Well, before we started the episode, just for context, we were talking about, I said, homie got his ass grabbed and was having sex with a girl and then got a hundred million dollars. That sounds like a sweet deal.
Mal
And he was like, how come that never happens to me?
Julian
I would gladly.
Mal
Yeah.
Rory
When me and my friends are doing our consensual foursome for a hundred million.
Julian
Dollars, you grab my ass. I'll go right to the sauna right now. Yeah.
Mal
I'm not asking.
Rory
That's the callback to how this podcast starts.
Julian
That's literally.
Mal
This is a. Y'all not asking the right question.
Julian
How it started.
Mal
Who is this?
Rory
It's Laurence Fishburne's son.
Mal
Who does that.
Rory
It's uncanny.
Julian
He does look like Fishburne.
Mal
Who is that?
Rory
Like, Fishburne Jr. How is he t.
Mal
To these random ass people? Man?
Rory
I just think it's hilarious that, like, a judge in the court of law looks at somebody that was convicted and sentenced to 75 years for how many accounts of sexual assault was it?
Damaris
I think like 14 or 14.
Rory
Like, come on. You're not allowed to file anything, sir.
Mal
Yeah. This is crazy.
Julian
Where does. Where does the money go? That's what we were discussing.
Rory
I think this is going to be thrown out. I don't think they're going to give a dollar. They'll get a new hearing. They'll appeal. This guy's not getting any money.
Julian
This gentleman's currently serving up to 75 years in prison.
Mal
This.
Rory
This was a technicality because Puff didn't show up. Not to say that Puff didn't do that nasty to him, but he didn't. But why? Yeah, why he won the case wasn't because of.
Mal
It was a zoom. It was a zoom call, right?
Damaris
Virtual.
Mal
Yeah, virtual. Virtual hearing.
Rory
Puff was just in Harlem with his.
Mal
Phone in his hand and Dumbass in Harlem praising, taking y'all.
Damaris
Are you serious?
Rory
Yo, one dude. I don't know who that guy was in the. That video in Harlem with Puff. He said he would throw hands for Puff if anyone wants him. Like, you throw hands for somebody that we're mad at for throwing hands at a woman. Yeah, clowns make that make sense.
Mal
Yeah, but. But that's.
Rory
If anybody got something to say about him, we could throw hands.
Mal
But that's. That's.
Rory
We're mad cause he was throwing hands at a woman.
Mal
But that's what always happens. You come back right back to the hood.
Julian
Party's over.
Mal
They gonna love you. They gonna, you know, praise you. They gonna take pictures with you. They going so they can show everybody. Yeah, I was just outside with Puck. Y'all niggas is clowning. Clowns, man. Y'all is clowns.
Rory
Well, do we have voicemails?
Mal
You've got mail.
Julian
Yes, we do. How's that?
Mal
How do you.
Julian
You do all right.
Mal
I called in a little while ago about not being in the best financial.
Rory
Position and dating that girl that I liked. I wanted to give you guys enough.
Julian
You guys remember that?
Rory
Of course.
Mal
Yeah. Yeah.
Julian
He was, like, dating a girl that expected fancy, and he was like, I can't. So, yeah, we gave him some advice.
Mal
Update.
Rory
There's not really a question. I just want to give you guys an update.
Mal
Essentially, she did let me go because.
Rory
Of my financial position.
Julian
And, you know, I was just like.
Rory
Obviously, that hurt it already, you know, sucks being laid off. And so I was like, you know, it is what it is. I'm just gonna not focus on dating and get my hustle on it is what it is.
Mal
So I, you know, I don't reply.
Julian
Going about my day, and she, like.
Mal
Double texts me and is like, hey.
Rory
I, you know, I really do want to be friends.
Mal
Like, I do enjoy your company. And I'm like. Like, you know, I enjoy her company, too. So it is what it is. Like, I've been here before. It's friend zone.
Rory
Like, so since then, I, like, invite.
Mal
Her out a couple times. They all get dubbed, and.
Julian
And, like, I get it.
Mal
It is what it is. Like, I. I know where I'm.
Rory
Where I'm going wrong here.
Mal
And she eventually, like, reposts this video on Tick Tock. And it's like when they ask you.
Rory
To link, but hanging out with your.
Mal
Hot girls looks like this.
Rory
And it's like, extravagant dinners and traveling and all this.
Mal
And like, I'm just like, damn. That.
Rory
I don't even know if she's like, like, subbing a or not.
Mal
Like, I don't know if I'm reading.
Rory
Too deep into it, but that still.
Mal
Hit a soul a little bit. Like, damn. So, yeah, that's. That's what happened. Just wanted to give y'all an update. Yeah, man, that crying man, he hung.
Damaris
Up so he could cry and don't do that.
Mal
And this is she cooking. She paying. Frying his soul.
Damaris
This is why she's paying for her own meals.
Rory
That's why.
Mal
Yeah, wait till you see that Rolex sitting across the table. Ooh.
Damaris
This is why. This is why. I did not. I think I gave him the advice of when you're like, bro, when you're down, you don't need to be dating. You shouldn't be focused on dating. Because when you're broke, Especially from my experience with men. I'm not a man. My experience with men, when men are broke, they're not the greatest. They're not. When you're. It's an ego thing, so it fucks you up, so you're not as confident. Nobody is confident when they're broke. You don't need to be dating because every single little thing, even if she.
Mal
Women are confident when they broke. Women are confident when you're broke.
Julian
Being broke.
Rory
You are.
Damaris
Bums are confident when they're broke. I'm talking about.
Rory
I've never seen anyone on earth more confident than a bum broke. Okay, you continue. I'm sorry.
Damaris
I apologize. Anyway.
Mal
Too far.
Damaris
You're taking. You're gonna take everything personal because you don't.
Mal
You don't.
Damaris
You're not feeling the greatest about yourself. So the girl probably just posted that. I, too. I know exactly what post he's talking about because I reposted that too. I wouldn't take that person.
Rory
Damn.
Julian
Damaris subbed you, too.
Damaris
I know. That's why we said that. I was like, damn, I posted that, too.
Mal
Oh, you know him?
Damaris
No, I don't know him, but it was a re. It was a post of, like. It was like, girls, like, why would I just go chill with you when hanging out with my girls is like this? And it's literally just like flashes of like, expensive dinners and flashes of some.
Julian
Other guy paying for stuff. Stuff.
Damaris
Yo, I really let you get your jokes off, but it's really extremely disrespectful when y'all always say that every single time a woman does anything, a man is paying for it.
Julian
Well, in this case.
Damaris
No, that's not. That wasn't what. What that case was. I'm literally explaining it to you. Hanging out with my friends looks like this. Cuz me and my girls have money. It's misogynistic when y'all say that every girl is on vacation or she's doing something that a man is paying for.
Rory
I. I know plenty of women with a lot of money. Cuz, I'm scared now.
Mal
Oh, okay.
Rory
Once. Once Damaris puts like that feminist voice on.
Mal
Yeah, we're wrong.
Rory
Like you said.
Mal
You say sorry and you didn't even do nothing.
Rory
We have to apologize to advertise.
Mal
I apologize.
Rory
Yeah, I agree. I know plenty of women that have money. More money than me. But we're speaking. And you know the girl that we are talking about? That girl? Yes, but that's who we refer to when we are discussing this.
Damaris
But he's. But you automatically went to that.
Rory
You even pictured her in your head. You know who I'm talking.
Damaris
You already went to that girl on Instagram.
Rory
Instagram.
Damaris
You are. You automatically went to that girl when. That's not who he's talking about. He.
Rory
We don't know that that girl's not that.
Damaris
He told you from the beginning that she got money. He told you she makes me insecure about dating her because she got her own money and I'm not up there yet. He told you that from the beginning.
Mal
So why she.
Rory
But he's at zero. We don't even know what his gauge of. Of money is.
Mal
Why she ain't hold him down until you know me.
Damaris
That ain't her, man. They were just. He just started. He liked her and wanted to take her out.
Mal
Oh, I thought that was his girl. You in there crying over some girl that wasn't your girl.
Rory
I said block her. Like if. If she's upsetting you this much. She doesn't owe you anything. And that was probably not about you, cuz I'm sure she's probably talking to 10 other broke guys like that's a fact. Just.
Mal
Just girl. Oh, no. You. You in the car crying about. That's cooking.
Rory
He wasn't crying, man.
Mal
He hung up, cuz he was about to start crying. I heard his voice. I know when about to cry.
Rory
He wasn't.
Mal
I can hear it.
Julian
You put tears on so many of these people's jacket there. He wasn't going to cry, man.
Mal
He was crying. He said that. You hear him right before he said that. Hurt my soul. When a say his soul hurt, he start crying. He don't even know he crying. You'd be like, why you crying? He's like, oh, I am.
Julian
Oh, I am.
Mal
Wipe your face.
Rory
Just morphed into Tyrese.
Mal
Yeah. Like, what you crying for? That wasn't your girlfriend.
Rory
Yeah, like now his ego's hurt. He don't like that girl. His ego's hurt.
Mal
Yeah. So, man, listen.
Rory
And he fell for the too after she let him go, which is hilarious.
Mal
All you gotta do is go get a bag, man. Go get your money up, and then, you know what I'm saying, you come back in the game, man, sub back in. Sometimes you gotta sub out. Go sit on the bench for a minute, warm up, Sit on the bench, look at the game, see what the D defense is doing out there. Yeah. Then when it's your turn to go.
Rory
Back in, set up a vacation for y'all, and then don't go to the airport.
Mal
Yeah, exactly, gangster. You had JFK looking stupid.
Damaris
You don't gotta. But look at y'all trying to punish.
Rory
An hour to Queens, y'all. Now she got traffic back, too.
Julian
That's an awful. What an awful setup.
Damaris
Yeah, just don't.
Mal
Don't do that.
Rory
I should have said his name. Sorry. Did he say his name?
Julian
No, he didn't.
Mal
You said his name. My bad, rat. Just, please.
Rory
Sometimes they say their names. I can't.
Julian
That mad. Clear.
Rory
Hey, use that as a driving force to go get some money so one day you can be petty and invite that girl on the vacation she's been dreaming of and then leave her ass at the terminal.
Damaris
Don't do that.
Mal
Lame gangster.
Damaris
So sorry.
Mal
Sorry.
Rory
Sorry.
Mal
Y'all keep ratting. Why y'all keep dropping names?
Rory
It's confusing because sometimes they say their name, sometimes they don't. But usually they put anonymous. If they want to be anonymous.
Mal
He told you? Yeah. Why would he.
Julian
Yeah, but, like, why did he put his name in and say it and.
Damaris
Like, he want us to know who.
Mal
He says, use this one and bleep my name. Yeah, but that's.
Julian
That's why I started a few seconds in, because I did. I wanted to save Peach the work. And then you guys are screaming, I'm sorry, Peach.
Rory
I apologize.
Damaris
Sorry.
Rory
Should I say his email?
Mal
No, that's.
Damaris
But, yeah, sir, just don't. Don't do that lame shit. You don't have to, like, flex on her because she let you go because you financially weren't stable or able to offer her anything or do anything for her. Like, you can't be mad at that. You can't want to punish her for that. Just get some money, move on and, you know, date somebody else.
Julian
One of her friends.
Mal
Gangster. That's how you do that.
Damaris
No race.
Rory
You'll be fine.
Julian
Yeah, he'll be fine. Wasn't he young, too?
Mal
He'll.
Julian
He's all right, dude.
Mal
He'll be all right, man. Damn.
Rory
And rat.
Damaris
Yeah. Yeah.
Mal
It's because of y'all. It's because of y'all, man. I wouldn't have said his name. It's because y'all said it three times.
Rory
Singing in the room with the. With the boys.
Mal
One bad dude.
Julian
Okay, that's fine.
Mal
That is fine.
Damaris
D is fine.
Mal
It's fine.
Rory
Let's go on D. If you tell the cops D did the crime. The cops are gonna find out who D is. You gave them the biggest clue.
Julian
No one's gonna Dr. Seuss and look up at this guy.
Mal
Not this one.
Rory
PG. Don't need to cut out the Ds.
Julian
Hey, yo, what did Drake's on the one record she used to. Soda and nuggets.
Rory
Yeah.
Julian
Go find one of those.
Rory
I love it.
Mal
No, you don't want one of those.
Julian
Don't find you one of those.
Rory
Like a girl that just likes nuggets every now and then.
Mal
No soda nuggets.
Damaris
So it's the soda.
Mal
No girl that likes soda and nuggets. Nuggets. Well, I'm cool.
Rory
Yeah.
Mal
Yeah.
Rory
All right. Like, after the. You do filet most of the week, but then, like, on Sunday, she's like, babe, I want Wendy's.
Damaris
Okay. Hold on. Because I love a chick fil. A nugget every once in a while.
Mal
Yeah.
Rory
You guys being above soda and nuggets.
Mal
You know what Soda and nuggets I'm talking about?
Rory
Which one?
Mal
I'm not talking about, like, checkers on a random Sunday. I'm talking about I will go to this chicken spot and get some nuggets in a. In a.
Rory
Even better.
Mal
No, the chicken's better.
Rory
The chicken spot.
Mal
No, that's legit.
Rory
And it's blessed.
Damaris
What about 10 against tenders?
Mal
Tenders. What's that?
Damaris
Chicken tender.
Julian
I had chicken tenders past weekend.
Mal
Chicken tenders is cool. I'm not. I'm not. It's not the nuggets or Two. It's just the type of person that is usually associated with eating that all the time. Yeah, okay, cool.
Rory
Yeah, just a girl with no taste. No.
Mal
Yeah, cool. I'm past that.
Rory
I'm always worried about Amara likes chicken tenders. Now every time I make her some, I throw a few on for myself. I run through that Tyson bag. Now I forgot how much I love chicken tenders.
Julian
They still make Dino nuggets.
Damaris
Chicken tender. I mean, chicken nuggets is one of the things I don't know if I'm going to introduce to my child. Cuz I feel like once kids have them, they become addicted to them. Like, and then there's no other food. It's.
Mal
It's crap.
Damaris
Chicken. Chicken, like for the rest of your life.
Rory
Tamaras.
Mal
I was like, yo, this demon baby I got in here.
Rory
I was also the parent before Amara was born. Like, my kid is never even going to see a screen. She'll only eat organic, healthy food. Nah, Amara has an iPad and eats chicken tenders. It's a little different when you're on this side.
Damaris
No, I'm not. I'm not saying it's a little different.
Rory
I wanted her to be vegan. It ain't gonna happen.
Damaris
I'm not judging you for that because you can make chicken tenders yourself and make them healthy. I'm just saying that it's one of those things that once kids get. It's like coke. Like they never want to get off of it.
Mal
And you can't give them like real chicken nuggets. Like you can't get chicken breasts. Cut it up.
Rory
No, no, bread. It helps.
Mal
No, they don't want that.
Rory
Go get the bag of processed frozen.
Mal
Put that in the air fryer.
Julian
You guys remember years ago when that video leaked of the process?
Damaris
Man, I don't want to see.
Rory
I'm cool.
Damaris
I'm cool.
Julian
Yeah, this. It's a pink that they make the nuggets out of. Anyway, keep eating that.
Rory
It's delicious though. Should we have another voicemail?
Mal
That's cuz they don't have the Chick fil A.
Damaris
Don't look like that.
Mal
They don't have the Hawaiian. What is it? The Hawaiian sauce. What's the chick Fil A sauce?
Julian
Oh, Chick fil A. Just Chick fil A sauce.
Damaris
No, you talk about the Polynesian.
Mal
Polynesian sauce. Sauce. That's what they got to dip that into. Polynesian, that's all.
Rory
I mean, it makes it taste.
Julian
Damn. I want chick fil A.
Mal
Now we got another one. Hey, Rory. And more. My name's Sage calling from the uk. I love the pod. Been listening to you guys since day one in it. So I've had a situation in the last couple of months where I was seeing this girl quite casually, no strings attached, like, type of deal. And anyway, one night she came over and we're just doing our thing. She's giving me some head. Next, she's funny in that she was necking me properly.
Rory
Drop down to her knees, give me a little bear head.
Damaris
Stop.
Mal
Y'all licking my balls. Calling some guy, saying, like, just having a normal conversation.
Julian
Like, oh. So someone called her during it, and she picked up the phone, and it was a guy that's.
Rory
Wow. Sucking dick.
Julian
Yeah. Here, I'll rewind a little bit. Yeah, while.
Mal
While she was talking, she was giving me some head. Next thing, she pulls out her phone and she starts calling some guy, saying, like, just having a normal conversation, like, how are you? What you up to? Like, sort of thing. All whilst giving me some head. So I know he's hearing some sound effects.
Rory
Glad you're looking at it.
Mal
She puts the phone down, and I'm like, yo, is that your man? And she's like, yeah. And I can't lie that to me.
Julian
Off on.
Mal
So anyway, like, we're getting into it more. She's still calling him. We're having sex at this point. And then she says to me, like, he's around the block. Do you mind if he comes in and, like, watches? And I'm like, no way. Like, that's not my deal.
Damaris
Flag on the play. Stop the goddamn recording. Please stop.
Rory
Sage. I've been there, bro. It's weird.
Mal
That's crazy. Crazy.
Rory
Yo, because I thought he was lying in the. When he said she pulled out the phone, Nicole, I was like, all right, this sounds like a lie, but I can see some, like, this happening because I've been there.
Mal
You came out with the iPad.
Julian
Would you let him in?
Rory
I bet. No, they let me in.
Julian
No, I'm saying, would you. Like, where are you going with this? If she's like, I'm not gonna you. Unless you let him watch.
Rory
I'm. I'm leaving. I don't need to.
Julian
A girl that's saying in that situation. Thank you, domestic.
Rory
She was on the phone. It couldn't have been that.
Mal
Is he in her house or she's in his house?
Julian
Oh, we don't know.
Mal
He's.
Damaris
I think he's. No. Well, she asked could he come. So that's. That's his house.
Mal
So you want your man to come in My house right now.
Rory
And that means you already gave your man my address. This feels like a real setup. This doesn't even sound like some cuck.
Mal
He's around.
Rory
Sounds like a robbery.
Mal
What you mean he's around the corner?
Julian
He's hanging out.
Mal
Maybe he's going around the corner from my house?
Julian
Yeah, going to get a pint.
Mal
We not doing that. That means he dropped you off here and was like, yo, go up there, see if he's like, you know, comfortable with it, and then call me and then I'll pull back up. He dropped her off.
Damaris
I can't speak from. I'm from a girl perspective. If you giving me head and you call your. Your girl and she say, yo, because she come, bring her in.
Mal
But you're. You're bi. That's different.
Damaris
Bring her in.
Mal
That's the difference.
Julian
All right, let's finish this because maybe he has a few more things to say that we could learn from.
Mal
So anyway, after that situation, I kind of to clear off with her, and I haven't spoken to her since. So my question is, have you ever been in a situation like that where you've been without your consent, unsolicited? I like to hear your thoughts. Love the POD guys. Talk to you soon.
Rory
Appreciate your support. Hope to see you in London next week.
Damaris
He don't listen to this show that often, do he?
Julian
Yeah, there was his backpack.
Rory
I probably. Probably told that story a long time ago.
Mal
Yeah, that was a while ago.
Rory
Very long time ago. But no, super long story short, this did happen to me. I was in a hotel room with a girl. She was giving me head. Her husband came out of the bathroom with an iPad filming it. I grabbed the iPad, deleted the video, and ran the out of that hotel room. So, Sage, I've been there, and it's different when he show up and your dick is out. Like, yeah, a little scarier than, hey, can he. Can he come through?
Damaris
I feel like that's respectful. That's probably what the girl who was sucking you off should have asked.
Rory
Should have done. Hell, yeah, that. You know how vulnerable it is to have your dick out and a man comes out with an iPad.
Julian
Ass.
Damaris
What?
Julian
Like that is very polite. I've heard a.
Mal
He came off the iPads. I know. I swear. You look great. You look great.
Rory
He really was like, no, no, chill. It's cool, it's cool, it's cool. We with this. Like, you could fuck her. Like, he was trying to make me comfortable. Like, in the most uncomfortable situation.
Damaris
Trying to put you like your dick Away, you know, wet dick, like, stick to everything. Like, if you trip, like, you know.
Rory
And this was in the skinny jean area. You know how hard it is to put a hard dick in a skinny jeans.
Mal
But y'all don't hear Damaris.
Damaris
What is she talking to? If you go to, like, rush past him and he got sweats, you know, sweaters. Stick to everything. Dick stickers. It's just a lot like, I don't. I don't know, maybe it's my autism, but I'm just thinking of, like, the textures and, like, it was the last.
Julian
Thing on my Velcro.
Mal
Like, how sticky is my. My balls. Like, they stick to everything.
Julian
What are you talking. This reminds me of. I just learned what this term is. I. I wasn't unaware. I was listening to a podcast and I. I learned about. You guys know what housewifing is?
Mal
Is housewife. I know house. I don't know what housewifing is or.
Julian
No, it's not housewifing. Sorry. Hot wifing. Hot wifing.
Mal
Hot.
Julian
Okay. It's cool.
Mal
H O T. Wifing.
Julian
Yeah. Hot. Hot wife. Okay, so a hot wife is. It's a different kind of cucking. So a hot wife basically has a man, and she goes off on dates with other guys. Like, and then that tells the husband when she comes back about how, like, well, she was and how, like, just pretty much just explicitly says how the sex was with the other guy. He's not in the room. He's at home. And she goes out dolled up, like, dressed to the nines, and then gets rinsed and then comes back and just tells him, like, how it went. That's called hot wifing.
Rory
What. What if it was, like, trash? Does she have to, like, lie and get performative?
Mal
Is that co wifeing at the, like.
Rory
He nut in, like, three Midwife. It was over, which was funny. Oh, yeah, I see where you're trying to take it.
Julian
Well, how do you guys feel about that? Would you. A hot wife? I would.
Rory
Wait, does she tell the. The guy she's on a date with, or does she just do that and then quietly go home and then spill the beans?
Julian
I think it's one of those things where it's supposed to be. It's full. It's, like, full of knowledge, consent. So I. The guy. The third party. The. The guy doing the. I. I would assume he's aware of the situation. I think that's probably the healthiest way to go about it.
Rory
I mean, you know, sure.
Damaris
Don'T Say it.
Mal
Ma, I, I didn't say anything.
Damaris
Okay.
Mal
I'm not saying nothing. Okay. No, I wouldn't, I wouldn't knowingly a married woman.
Rory
No, but you have presented. I'm sure you have. So you didn't know, but she presented like, no, we're, we're open. I can do this. What's wrong with that?
Mal
Still a little weird.
Rory
Call him on the phone and make sure.
Mal
No, it's just a little weird.
Damaris
Like mar don't want to no girl who married a who he thinks in his head is weird enough to let his wife other men.
Mal
Yeah. Cuz it's like, what, what y'all got going on over there? Like, what y. This what y'all doing?
Rory
Buy some crazy stuff. You should participate.
Mal
Yeah, no, I'm cool, bro. Like, y'all weird.
Rory
They're taking it to the next level.
Mal
Yeah. Like, it's like, now I'm just like a experiment. I'm just like, hey, yeah, go this black guy. And then come back and tell me how it was.
Rory
Like, why'd you have to it there?
Julian
Why you assume she wasn't black?
Mal
Yeah, it ain't no black hot wives, Lord.
Julian
All right, Are there.
Rory
I'm sure there is that.
Mal
Go back and tell.
Julian
I, I, I is her husband knows him in Atlanta.
Mal
Is her husband a black man?
Rory
Yes, I'm sure that happens.
Damaris
Yes. Black people have kinks too, Ma.
Mal
Yeah, ain't got that king.
Damaris
No, we just shame each other for everything. Keep quiet.
Julian
What's a black king? Because with the joke I was going to make, it's like a black job.
Mal
Know that.
Julian
You know what's, what's a black king?
Mal
It's like a black job. You get it? You know what it is? A black man letting his black wife go out there and some other and come back and give him the play by play. You, sir, are mentally ill to.
Rory
I'm not going to king shame. Not something I would ever want to participate in.
Mal
Who does that? Yo, no, I'm going to meet up with this dude I met, you know, in Whole Foods, and going to go have sex with him. I'll be back in about three hours.
Julian
Three hours, Nice.
Mal
And I'm supposed to be sitting there like, what is the husband doing? Is he like on Halo chilling?
Rory
He watching the guy that actually beat. If he doesn't know, like, he probably was like, all right, that was an awful date. Why did I get that crazy a pussy that quickly not knowing he was part of a experiment.
Mal
Exactly.
Rory
That date went way better than I thought it was. Gonna go, yeah.
Mal
No, I don't want to be a party.
Damaris
Then you gotta come home and be like, yeah, baby. He was drilling my shit. And he was like, he was you.
Julian
And I think, like, while she's doing that, he's probably, like, beating his.
Mal
Hard.
Damaris
He's hard. Yeah. He gets turned off by it. Turned off by it.
Mal
That is just.
Damaris
I mean, there are some weird kicks. Some people I would love, but is.
Rory
That any weirder than the cucks that watch their wife get?
Mal
Like, no.
Rory
To me, this is, like, the more prude version.
Mal
They don't get no weirder than that. That's like, top of the chain weird.
Rory
Yeah.
Mal
That's like, all right, fam. Like, what are y'all doing right now?
Julian
Hot Wifing prioritizes the sexual freedom and voraciousness of a woman. And instead of feeling insecure about it, the man feels. Finds it really arousing.
Mal
So, yes, get married and then go out and have. Have sex outside of your marriage and hide it under the guise of being a kink. And it's okay.
Damaris
People have different kinks. One day on this podcast, we'll learn that people just have different kinks. Different things turn different people on. I'm sure some of the that turns you on will make Rory throw up and vice versa.
Mal
I doubt it.
Rory
We don't need to find out.
Mal
We don't. But I doubt it. I still doubt it.
Damaris
Rory don't doubt it. That's why he don't want to know.
Rory
Listen, once I found out it was weird that I let a girl take my shirt off. I don't even really want to have full conversations with you, y'all. One small shame me. I didn't even know that was a kink.
Mal
I didn't shame you. I just laughed at.
Julian
It's not a kink.
Mal
I didn't shame you. I just. I just.
Rory
I didn't know I was getting crazy when she took my shirt off.
Mal
I just laughed at a man just putting his. Both his arms up in.
Rory
But I did find out you growling sex today, so.
Mal
Oh, yeah, you got. Let me add some sound effects to it.
Damaris
Women. Women taking control. Like, men wanting women to take control. That can be a kink.
Mal
I saw a crazy dude. He was like, he has to be. This is mental illness, the marriage. I'm just not a. A dude. He was walking through. I forgot what city it was, but he's walking through an alley. He stops at a car. He pulls his dildo, his suction dildo that, like, you can put to the shower. Wall.
Rory
Oh, he was a content creator.
Mal
He takes. He. He takes his dildo out of his bag.
Julian
The Tick Tock trash.
Mal
He sticks it on the hood of the car and he starts like sitting on it.
Julian
Athlete.
Mal
Broad daylight as an athlete.
Damaris
Well, that is a king. He is mentally ill, but it also is a king.
Julian
It's a Brad summer.
Rory
And then.
Mal
And then a car was coming. He got up and just stood there, act like he wasn't doing nothing. Took the dildo off the hood of the car and then went behind the car and just start like putting it in his ass himself. And then took it out and threw it in his tote bag and kept walking.
Damaris
So that's anything different from what Ms. B. Nasty be doing in her car in.
Mal
Public in her car. That gentleman. That was not his car.
Damaris
Oh, what the.
Mal
Were you missing the whole.
Rory
Stopped at a red light and.
Mal
Yeah, like Damaris. You missing the whole. He stopped at a ranch.
Julian
Like, what the.
Mal
That's not crazy.
Rory
Remember in Mighty Ducks when Fulton hits the slap shot and it goes right into Gordon Bombay's limbo, like limo right there. He's all sitting there and it smashes. That's how I picture the dildo would be slapped on top of my car.
Mal
Like, what is that? And just started walking. Like that was just business as usual.
Damaris
And if he was retwing it back, you know, I put a dent in the car.
Mal
Yeah. Let me tell you something, man. If I look out my.
Rory
And like the time it takes for me to process to want to fight and then like, wait, what the just happened?
Mal
You look in your driveway and see.
Julian
Someone squatting on your car.
Mal
Someone put a dildo on the hood of your car. A man. It starts sitting on it.
Rory
Yo, what do you say?
Mal
You gotta go ball some water and throw that out. Like you gotta go throw it on.
Rory
I get upset when I see someone do a three point turn in my driveway. If somebody put a dildo on my car and started it.
Julian
That's crazy.
Mal
Yo, this is. This is what's happening, though. So it was on a ring camera. Like somebody, I guess the apartment that was right there. The ring camera caught it. I'm like, yo, this is crazy. Then you got to think about the. That the ring cameras don't see. If somebody willing to do that in front of a house that ain't theirs.
Rory
I don't think they're paying attention to where the cameras are.
Mal
You got to pray for these people, man. That is sick. And then threw it in. He was in a moment, like, it was just.
Rory
Just what the is sometimes you just catch a vibe.
Mal
Nah, man.
Damaris
That is now the tote bag just smell like ass.
Mal
How you that horny?
Julian
I want to Google this, but I really don't want to up my while.
Rory
You Google it to what Damaris just brought up of like, Miss be Nasty and all those girls on Twitter that like, just be in their car squirting and. What parking lots. I've never just been walking down the street and there was an only fans girl squirting on her rear view. Like, what. Where do they put park? Oh, they find sometimes you can see the background. It looks like a populated area.
Mal
Yeah. Now you got to find like those big parking lots and then park all the way on the side that nobody is at.
Rory
I wonder how many cops have just stumbled upon a woman squirting.
Mal
Oh, yeah.
Rory
In her car with her camera.
Mal
I mean, some of them watch those videos when they get caught. That's like a thing now.
Rory
I would love to see those. That's my kink. I want to see the girls get caught. Yo, what the are you doing?
Mal
One video. A girl was masturbating in the driver's seat, and I guess she didn't see the dude walking on the sidewalk, like, from behind the car. He stopped right at the window. Ask if she needed some help. I was like, there's a concerned citizen right there.
Damaris
Right there.
Mal
You need some help? She was like, yo, she jumped.
Rory
She was like, he was wrong.
Mal
Yeah, you're on. He's wrong. He didn't walk into your bedroom. Like, he's walking past the parked car. Like, you need to cat call you.
Rory
