Rory
New worry. And now you remember.
Mal
I'm dead wrong. You want to live? I can't let you. You at full speed? I'm walking. I still catch you. Mr. Voice Good looking. I destroy these. These ain't bosses. They workers and employees. I came out of the lake, but I'll be in the boondocks. Flannel with overall work boots, tube socks. I put something right through your face from out the toolbox. Get hot and make the news. I make the news hot, you can be as hard as whoever. I crack craniums, you know. All my killings are brutal and sp. Spontaneous. I like this pop out soon as you hit the light switch, running. Then all of a sudden, you fall. Like the white chips. Might have to crush your Adam's apple with the vice grips. You never see me during the day. I play the night shift. Cartilage flashing bone, damn gristle. Yeah, be my guest. Go ahead and hide. I can't miss you. You already know I reside. I can't. Crystal Blake, dismantle your face. Revamp tissue power from the hockey mask. James St. Patrick. Three bodies in one night, that's a hat trick. Pay the plug soon as you finish. That's a flip. Spend six, make 12 back, that's a crack flip. Sad part about it, you boys ain't even ready. Preferably my weapon of choice is the machete. Screaming at the top of your lungs before I mangle you, zip you up in your sleeping bag. Before I strangle you. Yeah, I had it in me since a youngin. When you hear that, you don't see me. But I'm coming. Everybody gotta die. Every man, every woman. Yeah, it ain't even no sense in running my name ring around the nation. How the crime scene was left. They could tell that it was Jason.
Rory
Happy Halloween. Well, day after. Happy November.
Julian
Rinse do, rinse, do.
Rory
That is some spooky, Especially around the holidays.
Julian
Nah, y'all going out tonight and shake, you know, shake the town down. Go ahead, have fun.
Rory
First of the month is different tomorrow. Halloween to Thanksgiving to Christmas.
Julian
Yeah.
Rory
Yes. Yeah.
E
Bottle of catch last night. But you don't have gas.
Julian
Yeah, bottle of candy. You know, trick or treat with the kids. But in the morning, though, that direct deposit better be sent.
Rory
Yeah, I mean, there's fentanyl in the candy, though, so we're all gonna die.
Julian
Yeah. Gotcha.
Rory
Well, I'm supposed to be Donald Duck.
E
Like a duck.
Rory
I don't know how to do that.
Julian
I don't know why he knows how to do that.
Rory
That's like his Duck ass. You know, his little kink.
Julian
What he does.
Rory
That's what they do, I guess.
Julian
Yeah.
Rory
Well, Amar loves Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, so she wanted to be Minnie Mouse. So this is.
Julian
Tomorrow's gonna be Minnie, and you're gonna be Donald.
Rory
I'm Donald.
Julian
Yeah. Okay.
Rory
I ordered this, like, a month ago. It came this morning.
Julian
So you were scared. You didn't even know if it was gonna fit.
Rory
Yeah, it doesn't fit.
Julian
I'm, like, a little tight.
Rory
Yeah, this isn't made for dad, but I don't understand how women do this shit. This is, like the elastic pants they put around their waist. Yeah, this hurts. Yeah, I'm really uncomfortable. I don't know if I'm gonna last this entire episode with this.
E
The feet are great. I love the feet.
Rory
Well, these came separately because I thought the costume wasn't coming. I thought I had to do, like, an improv tube, and I bought these and a Donald Duck shirt.
Julian
She didn't see you yet.
Rory
No, she went to daycare before.
Julian
Crazy. She's going to love that.
E
You got to pick her up in that.
Rory
Yeah, and I'm definitely. When I leave here, we have a whole thing in our building for Halloween, so.
Julian
Oh, that's dope.
Rory
But I can't get the hat to stay on because I don't have enough hair. It's like an actual hair clip.
Julian
Oh, you got to do what the Jewish people do with the yarmuls. You got to get the little bobby pin.
Rory
Yo. That's what it is. But it's. It doesn't work.
E
His hair is too thin.
Damaris
Yeah, it's not that.
Rory
Even the mar.
E
Tri.
Damaris
It's too fine.
Julian
Oh, fine hair. Thank you for calling that frog here.
Rory
I appreciate that.
Damaris
Frog hair is hilarious.
Julian
Rory got that. Oh, my bad, bro. I'm sorry. Duck hair.
Rory
So I went.
Julian
Donald Duck. She got duck hair.
Rory
Over the weekend, I went to my man Kaz's crib. He was doing something for, like, all the kids for. For Halloween. And again, this wasn't. It didn't come in time. I just had the shoes, and I just had a blue shirt. So I walked into a costume party with just these on and a blue shirt, and everyone was like, what are you trying to give us? Yo, that's like you wear your slippers.
Julian
That's funny. When people don't know what your car. Like, who you trying to be, and you just standing there, you try to like, yo, y'all don't get it.
Rory
Like, these look like monster feet. They don't even look like Donald Duck's feet. They're kind of scary.
Julian
You pass your duck feet?
Rory
Yeah. Well, yeah. I don't know if I'm a chef or a Kappa. I don't know. This is a mess.
Julian
Either way, Amar is going to love it. That's the important part.
Rory
We have a lot to cover today. Like, serious topics.
Julian
Yeah.
Rory
And if we get in debates, I don't know if you're going to be able to, like. Can you take me serious when I start arguing about Meg the stallion?
Julian
Absolutely. You do. You're dressed for the occasion.
Rory
And then PG is going to clip it up and I'm going to be screaming red. And I'm going to be in this outfit.
Julian
Of course.
Rory
And no one is going to listen to any of my points.
Julian
Exactly.
Rory
So here we are. Who are you?
Julian
Me?
Rory
Yeah.
Julian
Joe Fresh Goods. Yeah. There you go. I'm Joe Fresh Goods today.
Rory
It's a good costume. Friend of the show.
Julian
Yeah, absolutely. It's my guy.
Rory
You had. You had the Andre 3000 fit ready to go.
Julian
I'm.
Rory
I'm upset.
Julian
Oh, yeah. But I. I'm not. I'm not dressing the following. You know, I'm not.
E
You've said, like the last five episodes you were gonna dress up for Halloween.
Julian
I thought about it. I didn't say I was. I said I thought about it. Who are you supposed to be, Julian? Because let me guess. You are either.
E
Let's go. Let's run through them.
Rory
The girl that forgot her weekend bag.
Julian
Yeah.
Rory
And needs something to put on her head to go to sleep.
Julian
The girl that's rushing to the airport. To the gate.
Rory
What was that inside?
Julian
Grace, Is Roy your pirate or.
Rory
Tony said it was okay.
Julian
Aladdin.
Damaris
Sorry.
E
Yeah. After we recorded Patreon yesterday, I called a friend and said, hey, I need. He's one of those guys addresses in a costume every day of the week for Halloween. So I said, just give me one. And this was.
Julian
This.
E
Was it supposed to be a pirate, but with my complexion and look. I look like a jewel thief.
Julian
Yeah.
E
Yeah.
Rory
I think it's funny that, you know, zero black women. So you had to call your white male friend for this fit.
Julian
Was he a white pirate?
E
Well, he's Iranian, so.
Julian
Oh, there you go.
E
We both. I said we look. We could look like, you know, we have a bomb or something, you know?
Julian
Can't.
Rory
Can't say what? You can't say that.
Julian
Sorry, Pete.
E
No, this is a safe space.
Rory
They literally banned someone from CNN for that comment. And you want us to have.
E
We're a far cry from cnn.
Julian
I'm just saying.
Damaris
A far cry.
Rory
Damaris just went with Bunny.
E
Damaris has a costume, but she won't put it on because she doesn't want the creeps to.
Damaris
It's too slutty.
E
Wet their hands and beat off.
Julian
So it's too slutty for the show, but it's okay to go outside?
E
Yeah, she'll be wearing it at the Barclays tonight.
Julian
So the Barclays gets it, but we don't got it. Okay, well, I see the most. Yeah, you gave us the ears.
Damaris
Well, y'all are my co workers.
Rory
Well, that used to really be the typical costume for women. Dress like a whore and then just put bunny ears.
E
Yeah, but, I mean, it's traditional Playboy money.
Rory
I. I do appreciate the tradition because now women have actually gotten creative with their Halloween costumes because they dress, like, 364 days out of the year. So now they're, like, actually doing cool costumes. Before, it was like, I get to dress like a. No one will judge me. And we loved it.
Julian
It's their body, their choice, Rory.
E
I mean, unless you're Meg.
Rory
Unless you're Mall looking at Meg the Stallion.
Julian
Are we going right into that?
Rory
Let's go right into it.
Julian
I got this, Meg. I thought I show nothing but love and support for Meg the Stallion throughout the years. I got cursed out. I got put in songs all kind of in support and standing with Meg the Stallion through one of her most tumultuous. Yes. Situations in life.
Damaris
Ma was the first person to come out and say that nigga shot her.
Rory
He was the one supporting so much that Tory Lanez put Mal in his hateful intro on his return album. But for those that don't know, right before we started recording, the Meg the Stallion in Her Words documentary came out on Amazon Prime.
E
Yes.
Rory
We were getting a bunch of tweets that Mal was in the doc. Slut shaming, which is, you know, on par. That makes sense. But then I was like, not with Meg. I feel like Mall is owed somewhat of an apology from maybe Meg or the editor. I don't know if Meg just found all these clips.
Julian
No.
Rory
Maybe we should blame Amazon. No, I mean, I think Bezos cut that up.
Julian
It's fine. I mean, I. The way they cut it made it seem like I think we were talking about the song WAP at that point. And I was saying how that lyrically at the time, that was one of the most raunchy songs we probably ever heard two female artists saying on the record. That was just that record, though. But they put that there, like, I didn't. I. I don't. I thought Meg should like change her content.
Rory
And I don't like they cut it too soon. I think you finished that sentence with but I like it.
E
It's around the 39 minute mark of the doc. And the last line Meg says before they go into a montage of Internet and podcasters reacting to the song is her saying female empowerment. My body, my choice. And then 30 seconds later, Mal says this.
Julian
Look at what we're listening to women say right now.
Rory
Like, why would a woman think it's her choice with her body? I don't even.
Julian
It's crazy how they cut and edit these things, man. Like, I promise you, I have nothing but love and respect for Megan's choice and what she wants to do with her body, what she wants to talk about, rap about, it's all love. But the way they edit that made it seem like I'm the. The craziest guy when it comes to she gotta cover up and she can't talk like that.
Rory
You continued to talk about the history of Planned Parenthood, if I remember correctly.
Julian
Yeah, if you remember correctly, that's exactly what I went into right after that. Rory.
Rory
Yes. The Kanye west and Candace Owens talking points at that point. Yeah, I mean, where do we start with this, this Meg doc.
Julian
When is it? It's out. It's out.
Rory
It's out right now.
E
It's currently out. But there's really one clip that seems to be making the rounds online and it was her kind of saying how she lied on the Gail interview about not sleeping with Tori. Here's the. The clip real quick.
Damaris
Gil King. First of all, I know that ask me about that. Always want to talk about this shooting. Why you ask me about Tory? That's not what this is about. Sorry. Once, maybe twice on a drunk night. But you kept catching me out of my mind.
Julian
Okay, that's sad. I mean, she spoke about this before, I think though.
Damaris
No, during the trial. Cuz she had to tell the truth.
Julian
So. I mean, yeah, we, we knew that.
Rory
Everyone knows that she.
Julian
Every woman lies about who they sleep with. That's not. I don't know why people thought that that was so crazy, but I mean, it is what it is. It doesn't change the fact of the matter or what was found to be true in court.
Rory
Well, we're gonna look like pick me's. We're not this misogynistic podcast that, that you think when this Gayle interview aired, we did an episode, I think the next day and the first thing we said was, she's clearly lying about that, but who cares? We're here to talk about a shooting. She doesn't owe us who she fucked on national tv. Go ahead and lie. Yeah, that didn't bother me at all. We know you're lying, but.
Julian
But I said, you have to go.
Rory
On TV and say who you like.
Julian
I think people were trying to parlay that into, she's lying about what happened that night.
Rory
If you lie about who, my pussy is not your concern. Gail, like, yeah, if you. Like, even if I rap about it all the time.
Damaris
The consensus is if you lie about who you'll. Then you'll lie about somebody shooting you. Because those are, like, equally the same.
Rory
Yeah, those things check out.
Julian
I just didn't understand that. But, you know, whatever.
Rory
I'm. Well, the funny part was, though, she really didn't think Gail was going to ask, were you, Tori? Because all the evidence around that time and the reports from Tory side were they had an argument with Kelsey because she found out that Meg and Tori were behind her back. You didn't think Gail was going to get in there and be like, yo, he be. So what's up here?
Julian
Yeah.
E
Yeah. Fresh off the R. Kelly interview. She had to. She had to go for it, Robert.
Rory
I didn't think Gail would ask me that. We talked about shooting. All right, well, let's talk about how the shooting started.
Julian
I mean, either way it goes, Meg, we love and support you. I just hate the way they cut and edited that part of that documentary, which is crazy.
Rory
With your ties to Rock Nation, that Rock Nation would do that to you.
Julian
Montage to Rock Nation.
Rory
Like, they would. They would try to paint you to be this person.
Julian
Oh, man. So ROC Nation is back in hot water.
Rory
Back in hot water?
Julian
Yeah. I mean, they seem to be back in hot water. All of this is coming out once again, the whole trial. Now, Tory, he has filed for his appeal. His appeal was granted, I believe. No, it wasn't.
Damaris
No.
Julian
Oh, well, I'm sorry.
Damaris
They're reviewing it, which I think is.
Rory
His second time trying to do an appeal. The first one got denied. This isn't going anywhere. He's doing his time.
Julian
Yeah. But if, you know, if, you know how the court system goes. The. You know, that's. This is what usually happens. People file appeals. Sometimes they're, you know, accepted, sometimes they're denied. But, you know, this is just part of the due process of what many inmates go through is especially when they feel like, you know, they were wrongly prosecuted or their Defense team feels like we may be able to find another loophole in this case or in this sentencing. Sentencing. So that. I don't think that surprised anybody. But I know Tory is. He's suing. I believe he's suing his lawyer, Sean Holly, I believe her name is. He's filing an ethics complaint against his ex attorney for her alleged ties to Jay Z's Roc Nation. Now, I don't know if that's because she represented other artists that are signed or have deals with Roc Nation.
Rory
She literally said in her statement, I have never worked with Roc Nation in my life. The show I executive produced is simply just named Reasonable Doubt. Has nothing to do with Roc Nation.
Julian
Oh, that's that new show where every episode is named after J Track.
Rory
Yeah. But it has nothing to do with Roc Nation. She's never worked with them. And that's where I think people that are still on this Tory conspiracy side need to, like, look at the logic here.
Julian
Yeah.
Rory
If they're fishing for this type of shit on the basis of the second appeal, yeah. Clearly the evidence is suggesting he did it. Now, if you are picking at this type of shit, a lawyer that has not worked with Roc Nation, that's how you're trying to get your appeal. Yo, she. She knows Des, right?
Julian
That's what you're doing.
Rory
You pulling for anything at that point.
Julian
Yeah, that's true.
Rory
Which is, go ahead, use your appeals, do what you have to do. It's your right in our court system. But if you had a strong appeal, you could just go to the evidence.
Julian
Right. That was always my whole thing. And back to that, just to move on before we do. My stance is still the same as it was obviously. Rory, you were sitting next to me when all of this first happened years ago. And I said, then what? I say now, if in fact Tory Lanez is guilty, which he has been found guilty of this, if he did do this, then, yeah, again, this is the craziest shit ever. This is some shit that should never happen. A man should never pull a gun on a woman, let alone fire a gun at a woman. It was all unfortunate. Tory Lanez was one of the hottest artists at the time. I've always supported Torrey throughout his career. I put plenty of people onto his music early, before he even took off. But again, a situation like this, all of that aside, is just something that we should have never witnessed. It should have never happened. And my thing is, cool, go through the due process and file your appeals. But I always go back to, why not take the Stance when. Stand. When it. When the case was at trial. If you didn't do it, like, if I didn't do something in the case that tries nothing, my lawyers can tell me about not getting on the stand.
Rory
I believe the judge's son was interning at ROC Nation at the time. That's why he couldn't.
Julian
Oh, yeah, I forgot his name, but, yeah, you're probably right about that.
Rory
Jaguar Wright told me that.
Julian
Yeah. But again, you know, prayers to everybody involved. Hopefully, Meg is still healing from this and moving forward and, you know, obviously being shot. Thank God I've never had to deal with that. But knowing people that have is something that you never forget. It's trauma that stays with you forever. So, hopefully, to the best of her ability, she's moved past and she's healed from that and is doing well. And also still prayers to. I don't hate Tory Lanez. I don't know him. Never met him. Well, I met him a couple times, but I don't hate him. But prayers to him as well. As somebody that is in prison, incarcerated, that's a rough time as well. Hopefully he's getting the help that he needs, and when he comes home, he's a better person and a better man.
Rory
Are you calling Meg out and encouraging her to clip that part out just to clear your name? She should put what you just said on her IG and, like, maybe a formal apology.
Julian
Let me DM Meg.
Rory
What? How would you start a DM with Meg?
E
Drop a money bag.
Julian
Hey, no, stallion. Hey. Hey. For horses, you get.
Rory
Hey, stallion. Yeah, I believe her Instagram is at rock N a T H O N.
Damaris
Yeah, y'all, I had a dream about Meg last night.
Julian
We don't want to hear about your wet dreams. We don't. We don't want to hear about that.
Rory
I actually want to hear about it. What happened?
Damaris
I had it. I had a. I had a dream. Like Martin Luther. I had a dream.
Rory
I think those were different, but go ahead.
Damaris
I don't know why Meg was in my dream like that.
Julian
You know why. You know exactly why she was in your dream. Because you had to pill in between your legs when you went to sleep. You was horny. You was flicking the bean like you know what you was doing. That kidney bean was. Was vibr. You know how I go.
E
Yeah. First the beeper joke, now your neighbors.
Rory
Thought you had a barbershop in the crib.
E
Wait, wait. Did you have a wet dream?
Julian
What happened?
Damaris
I had a dream. It was a very nice dream. It felt so real. I woke up. Like, he literally woke me up. It felt so.
Julian
You wouldn't know what to do with that. Meg the Stallion. Meg, sit that ass on your face. You. You be begging for help. You be knocking over, trying to get the phone to call police.
Rory
I don't know. I mean, there were those reports that Meg eat pussy in the backseat of a car.
Julian
So that's to go.
Rory
How far is the hotel? God damn.
Julian
How horny are we?
Damaris
That's to go.
Julian
Yeah, you know, you get the fries.
Rory
I gotta be a professional driver.
Julian
Yeah, you can't look through the rearview. Let me tell you something. If I'm driving Meg thee stallion around and she crack it 100%, I'm pulling.
Rory
Up thunder vendor at minimum.
Julian
I'm like, yo, come on, man. I know I got this suit on. I'm from the hood, man. You fine. Bitches ain't about to be eating pussy here. And I'm just driving at the light, acting like I don't hit. Hear that?
Rory
So he doubles down. It's not her body. Is not her choice. No Maul makes that decision. It's his car.
Julian
How did I say, well, it's my car.
E
It's your property.
Julian
What's my car?
Rory
But you're saying they can't eat property unless you're involved with.
Julian
I don't have to be involved, but I'm not gonna act like I don't see it. I want to watch.
Rory
We could pull over.
Julian
Yeah, let me pull over.
Rory
You know, I mean, turn it till completion.
Julian
Turn the heat up a little bit. You know me crack the sunroof. You know what I'm saying? Get some air going in here, and I'mma watch y'all eat soup.
Damaris
Can we.
Rory
Where were you and Meg in this dream?
Damaris
We were in a green room. Green room, couch.
Julian
A green on a green room couch.
Rory
Where?
E
That's okay.
Julian
Damaris always wanted to be in the green room.
Damaris
I never wanted to be in your green room. Don't do that. Never want to be.
Rory
What's wrong with our green room?
Damaris
Nothing's wrong with y'all green room.
Julian
But she's always in my green room. What are you talking about?
Damaris
2.5 seconds, I'll be outside, bro. I do not be sitting in your green room in your face, Damaris.
Julian
Don't do that.
Damaris
That is not how you got your.
Julian
Hair, makeup, nails, to everything done in our green room before. Don't do that.
Rory
Is actually a fact.
Julian
Don't do that.
Damaris
I did my makeup one time in your green room. That's it. I make Up.
Rory
Couldn't even put my pants on for the show.
Damaris
I had braids.
Julian
I had to get dressed in the bathroom.
Damaris
I had braids.
Julian
It was girls on your nails, on your feet, on your hair. I was like, well, God, Dick, can.
Damaris
I. Y'all be having everybody. You want to me to start naming people? That was in that green room?
E
Which one was this, by the way?
Julian
Whoa.
Rory
You have. You know, there's evidence. Our last, like, three New York shows, I had one.
Julian
Plus, I walked in the room. We're not gonna do that. I'm not gonna do that. Oh, you talking about the time. Always want to tell you when you talking about a time. Okay, who I had in the green room. Name the names I had. Please don't do that.
Rory
You. You have your stylist, who I love to death, come all the time with, and she come with, like, seven of her friends, but they're all pretty and smell good, so I don't care.
Julian
Who's my stylist.
Rory
Don't do that. See, we.
Julian
Who was my style.
Rory
Now you don't have a style.
Julian
I don't know. No, I don't.
Rory
Now you don't have a style, Rory, because usually. Beautiful white woman, mutual friend of ours.
Julian
Who. I haven't seen this girl in five years.
Rory
Now. Now it's five years.
Julian
When the last time you seen her with me in Sony Hall?
Damaris
No.
Julian
You did.
Rory
Bringing down your garments.
Julian
You're lying.
E
Garments.
Julian
You're lying.
Rory
She's definitely been in our Sony hall green room with your garments for sure.
Julian
What are you talking about?
Rory
I don't know. Whenever we were at Sony hall, were there like 10 times.
E
All Maul has is someone bring a godspeed hoodie and then leave.
Julian
What is he talking about?
Rory
There's one time, and it was when Gold Link came.
Julian
Who else was in the green room? Rory.
E
The Gold Link show in New York.
Julian
Who else? Rory. They sitting there quiet for a reason.
Rory
My. My daughter.
Julian
No. Well, we counting your. We not counting your daughter. We know you.
Rory
Wait, I'm. I'm really not even trying to play dumb. You can say it. What skeletons I have.
Julian
It ain't no skeletons, but they sitting there quiet for a reason because they know that I'm not wrong. You wrong right now.
Rory
Who did I have in the green room?
Julian
I don't know them niggas. I seen them around a couple times, but I don't know them.
Rory
Oh, you talking about now?
Julian
I'm talking about more. Here we go. How many talking about am I talking about?
Rory
Okay, I'm being honest here. That was Carl. That was not me.
Julian
All right, man, here we go.
Rory
That was Carl.
Julian
Whoever it was, it wasn't my. It wasn't me.
Rory
Oh, no, you know what? It was Carl and Benner because they said, nah, he got to stay in the green room. He can't be seen. I was like, all right, whoever it.
Julian
Was, I'm just going back to the top of the.
Rory
Whatever it was.
Julian
Whoever it was, I'm going back to.
E
The top of the conversation.
Julian
None of nobody was there for me. Nobody. I may have had one person there one time. That was it. Julius.
Damaris
I mean, I was about to say he take out mad space.
Julian
That was it.
Rory
Julius Randall Golding. We even.
Julian
Nah, man.
E
Go like, had like a plus seven.
Julian
Yeah.
Rory
But they were all from.
E
He's a big person.
Rory
But I feel like people with accents don't count.
Julian
That is true. That is like.
Rory
It was. It was a refreshing green room because everyone, like, all the women.
Julian
Yeah.
Rory
Had London. It's like, who wasn't happy at that?
Julian
I get it. I understand that. But back to my.
Rory
I'm not green.
Julian
Back to my original. I don't be having a bunch of. In the grand. I don't even have people come to the shows. I may have two, three people come to the show.
E
The only time the Green Room really got wild was that LA show.
Damaris
You lying about that one, but LA is always different.
Julian
What am I lying about?
Damaris
Mall, Mall, mall. That last show we had where you pass some on that your list. Where your list. The Sony hall show.
Rory
That don't be sending two names.
Julian
That's family, though. But they're not in the green room.
Damaris
No, they're not in the green room. But you saying I don't even have people come to the shows.
Julian
I'm like, but that New York don't count. This is home. That's. That's why we hate doing New York. We both spoke on that. Like, bro. God damn. Like, but in the green room. No, never. I was. I was never that person. Never. Anytime I had to be in the green room was performing. It wasn't nobody. A bunch of people there for me. They might come and say hi, but this in and out. It ain't like hanging out ain't getting. Getting hummus. And that ain't happening.
Rory
No, don't do that. Cuz sometimes the openers be spitting all over our food.
Julian
Those are your people. You be booking them.
Damaris
I.
Rory
Those are my people.
Damaris
I just come and do my makeup upstairs.
Rory
I do miss. I think it was the last LA show or two LA shows Ago when was all good. DJ Head and mall in the same green room. Like, was all good. Just a week.
Julian
It's still all good with me.
Rory
It was. Oh, it was so much love at that time. Look how. Look how things have changed.
Julian
Head is still my dude. Like, it's still number level to me and dj.
E
The golf tournament that year.
Julian
Yeah, that's the Head is my golf. No head for years. Yeah, that's my. That's my dude. It's crazy how changed ain't no me.
Rory
We was golf. We was golfing with. With DJ Head. Schoolboy Q. Schoolboy Q Ali. Yo. Was good at one time.
Julian
It's still all good.
Rory
We was. We was golfing with Frank, Puff's former manager.
Julian
Yes, Shout out to Frank.
E
I bring up Frank.
Rory
Yeah, I just talked to Frank.
Julian
Hopefully he's not, you know, everything's okay.
Rory
No, I had to ask him, like, shit. All right.
Julian
Because I can't make sure shit good with Frank, man. But yeah, it's still all love of me and DJ Head, man. Shout out to DJ Head. Shout out to Meg, too. Take me out that documentary.
Rory
I could see you two, like, being a power couple.
Julian
Me and Meg? Yeah.
Rory
I mean, she. She had her. Which we. We are not shaming at all. She can do whatever. Whatever she wants with her body. She had the rapper stigma for a while. Even the baby's still trying to, like, manifest another feature, which is hilarious. I feel like you could be that pivot to, like, get away from the artist and, like, she could be with just a nice media man.
E
She like little dudes.
Julian
Media Man's one of my favorite movies. A media man. I'm not a.
Rory
You're a media man.
Julian
I'm not a media.
Rory
You're definitely a medium.
Julian
No, I'm not.
Rory
Everyone's been arguing about journalists, which I think is hilarious. But you are a media man.
Julian
Listen, Meg, number. Love and support from Rory and myself. And I'm looking forward to watching the rest of that documentary to see what other cuts and edits they made. Hopefully I'm not in nothing else.
Rory
I'm sure you're there.
Julian
I hope not.
Rory
Speaking of other docs we've been in, Six. Nine is with Puff in jail.
Julian
Is he.
E
It'd be a crazy movie.
Julian
What's Six Nine got locked up for?
Rory
I think just.
Julian
Oh. Six Nine is now in jail. In the same jail as Diddy for violating supervised. So they're both in mdc. Violating supervised release terms by traveling to Vegas without permission, missing a drug test, and testing positive for meth.
Rory
I Don't know. Accurate.
E
I don't know if that part's accurate.
Rory
I'm not like, six nine.
Julian
Right. Why y'all feel like that's not accurate?
E
Oh, he has. He does have a methy vibe, but I don't know.
Julian
All right, so again, why do you think that part is questionable?
E
I don't know.
Rory
Yeah, but it's all like, he. He gives his character, gives me messy vibes.
Julian
I mean, but you can. You can test positive for meth from popping certain pills.
Rory
Yeah, that's true.
Damaris
It could be, like, definitely, man.
Julian
Six Nine is popping pills, man. We ain't gonna sit here and act.
E
Like, yeah, you got meth.
Julian
He just be in the club drinking Fiji, and he's popping pills.
Rory
I've definitely taken an Adderall. That felt methy.
Damaris
Okay.
E
It is math.
Rory
It just. Just hit a little different.
E
Yeah, I guess it is between Diddy and Six Nine. It's the. The.
Julian
Why do they have that picture?
Rory
Look at the getty images.
Julian
What's up with this picture of Puff?
E
It's like Arkham City.
Rory
That's him looking through his cell at 69 looking at that bait.
E
You know, they want that rainbow ass cheeks.
Julian
That's crazy, man.
Rory
Oh, Puff would have a good time with.
Julian
Damn. So Six Nine is an mdc. Oof.
Rory
But he was in MDC before. Yeah, he was in PC.
Julian
Okay. Yeah. I'm about to say it's gonna be rough over there for him.
Rory
Nah. But the PC they have at mdc, I doubt Puff is even. Doesn't even see another inmate. And I think 6 9ine was the same thing when he was telling on everyone.
Julian
I'm waiting for Tax to call me. I want to hear if he. He saw Puff yet.
Rory
I, I, I just don't think Puff.
E
Is on out there.
Rory
I think he's probably on, like, 23:1 lockdown.
Julian
Does they don't got him on 23:1. Puff ain't in no cell for 23 hours. He's in PC.
Rory
But, like, extra PC, nobody's seeing Puff. He is not at. In the day room. Like, Puff is not playing dominoes with the other rats and people in PC.
E
Also, because if you look at what Puff did and you're playing by, you know, prison rules. There's, you know, now newer reports of him drugging and raping.
Damaris
They don't care.
E
Children as young as 10. I'm saying, like, in prison, that's the.
Julian
Worst thing you can do about that.
E
Killed there.
Damaris
If, if, if, if.
Rory
But a lot of people know about molesters. In it.
Julian
What do you mean?
E
If they know about. They live streaming on Tick Tock from jail. They know about that.
Julian
But it's got flat screens in there. It's not about social media.
Rory
Inmates at MDC don't know about Puff's case from jail.
Damaris
What I'm saying is. Let me clarify. It's not that they don't have access to the information. I know they have access to the information. The reason why I say that is because so much stuff has come out about Diddy that the information is kind of like overwhelming at this point. It's like some of this is rumors, some of this is real news outlets. Like there's no concrete cut and dry. This is what he did, this is what he's accused of.
E
Yeah, but if you're in jail, are you really waiting for let's see how this plays out card? Are you like, if I read if I'm in the prison is Puff, and I read he's accused of drugging and raping a 10 year old aspiring rapper in 2005. If I have 5 minutes with him, he's dead by prison rules. I'm not gonna be like, well, let me not take my shot because wait.
Julian
For the evidence to come out.
E
Yeah, fuck him.
Julian
He's in PC Just because he's a high profile name.
Rory
Yeah, he has no choice.
Julian
Yeah, he has no choice. At this point.
Rory
I know you would never do any crime, but let's say you were like framed for a robbery or whatever and you were waiting trial. Would you PC up?
Julian
Me? No. For what?
Rory
Safety? From who?
Julian
I ain't got beef with nobody.
Rory
I just feel like jail, like maybe sometimes you don't even need beef.
Julian
Nah, jail is not what people think it is, man.
Rory
I think it's awful.
Julian
No, I mean, I'm not saying it.
Rory
Is everything the rumors say it is.
Julian
No, but of course you don't want to be there. But it's not. You ain't gonna just be sitting down and just gonna press you for no reason and beat you up and rape you. That's not. That's not what jail is. Jail is not that. If that happens to you, that's because you are involved in a certain lifestyle and behavior inside of the prison, but.
Rory
I see. Okay, cool. But I also wouldn't even want to like risk it of just being an innocent bystander. Like I was in the way of like some gang. Like, I just happen to be standing in line. I'm cool.
Julian
Yeah. I mean, I'm.
Rory
I'm PC.
Julian
That could happen outside that could happen on at the club at that point.
Rory
I think it. I think it's a bit higher of a rate in like a prison lunch line than it is at the club.
Julian
Yeah, but it's not. Prison is. Not. Again, it's not a. It's not a vacation. But it's not what people think. And this ain't just getting raped all day, every day.
Rory
I mean, I don't think that.
Julian
Yeah, it's not. It's not that, man. I talk to a lot of dudes that's locked up all the time and you know, they laugh at it. Like people really think it's. Again, it's not a vacation. It ain't a condo. You ain't. You ain't having fun. But it's definitely not what people. You know these movies and you know these, these things that you hear from certain people. It's not all that. Does that happen? Absolutely. But that's not everyday, all day thing, man.
Rory
If a Mac baller come up to me and want to use the phone. Here you go, sir.
Damaris
Amara. Daddy love.
Rory
I am not built for jail. I never want to go there.
Julian
No, I feel you. I never want to go. I know, but I'm just saying, I wouldn't. I would need PC though. Like, I wouldn't like, yo, put me.
Damaris
A piece at a women's prison.
Julian
You do what?
Damaris
Run the yard.
E
It's too soft.
Julian
Marriage. You will be in there.
E
Pillow print.
Julian
First of all, Damaris will be so mad she can't have her hair products or makeup. She would be in there going crazy. You ain't running no yard. You will be sitting in there doing yoga, meditating, spending time in your cell. Even when you could be outside crying under the blanket like, you ain't gonna be run. You know what running a prison yard entails?
E
It's a lot of work.
Julian
You gotta knock bitches out. Like, you gotta show that. Yo, nigga, this my shit. You ain't doing that.
Rory
Especially when Mike can now transition with our tax dollars and he gonna end up on your yard.
Julian
Like you ain't. You ain't doing that.
Rory
Mike gonna run that yard, but I'm.
Damaris
Gonna run it, like, intellectually. Like, you know, I'm gonna use brains over, manipulate them.
Julian
Manipulate them grown ass women. Yeah, when Barbara. When Barbara come in your cell and tell you she want that.
Rory
She want.
Julian
She want that ass. What you gonna do?
Rory
Damaris has watched too much of Shawshank Redemption.
Damaris
I've never seen it.
Rory
All you have to do.
Julian
Oh, man, Shawshank. That's A. You gotta watch that.
Damaris
Is that. Will it teach me how to run the yard?
Julian
Well, no, that yard was like in. In the 30s.
E
They don't kind of yard.
Julian
They don't even talk like that. No more like the whole language is different. Like how to run a yard. Watch like Oz or something like that.
Rory
Okay, I don't watch O. I mean.
Julian
That'S more up to date than Shawshank.
Rory
I mean, outside of like the. The rapey in Shaw Shank it. That almost made me, like, want to do prison time. It looked like such a great community.
Julian
Never made me want to do prison time. I never once watched Oz and was like, you know what? This week is the week. This week is the week I'm going in, like, never. And I love Oz. One of the greatest series we had.
Rory
Yeah. Early HBO days. But while we're on crimes and Puff and, And. And Pirus, Ray J and Diddy's sons. Man, who can we get? Farrakhan? We really need to, like, end some of these beefs.
Julian
But, I mean, you knew this was going to happen eventually.
Rory
I did not think Puff's kids were going to walk around LA pressing anyone that said anything bad about their father. That's on camera.
Julian
Well, not. Not eating the.
Rory
Out of a woman.
Julian
They. They saw Ray J at a Halloween party. Right. And obviously Ray J has had some things to say about Puff online, on his. On his platforms, and his sons Justin and. And was it Christian?
E
Christian, Quincy and Justin.
Julian
Okay, well, you know, they decided to. To approach Ray J and have a conversation. Things probably got a little heated. Cursing, yelling. But I mean, this is not. I don't think it's. It was going to go any further than just words, though. I don't think. I don't think they were going to beat up or try to put hands on Ray J. I don't think.
Damaris
Well, they said Chris Brown had to break it up.
Julian
Break it up meaning what, though?
Rory
Well, Quavo wasn't available, so Chris had to step in.
E
Chris did like a backflip on all of them.
Rory
Quavo was already booked at another event, so Chris had to step in.
Julian
Chris had to. Because Chris, he want to. He ain't want to knock anybody out.
Rory
He would have.
Julian
Yeah. Chris would be like, listen, man, y'all want to go to sleep right here? I can make it happen. Everybody just chill out.
E
So it looks like Ray J was on his way to the end of the parking lot with his crew, which included Amber Rose and his manager, David, Some Jewish last name. And then that's When Diddy's three sons pressed him. Yeah, and then Chris came in and saved the day.
Damaris
Y'all next?
Julian
Who y'all next? For what?
Rory
For what?
Damaris
To get pressed when y'all in la.
Julian
Who who pressing me?
Damaris
The triplets.
E
They're not.
Rory
They're not. They actually look nothing alike.
E
Not even blood related.
Rory
There's rumors that they don't even share the same blood.
Julian
Yo, imagine like, I know how Ray J felt when he woke up. Like, yo, what. What the is going on, man? Get impressed by Quincy. Here's my Justin and Christian.
Rory
I love that Ray J has matured because I did listen to all the clips. I heard him and whack talking back and forth and he was like, don't put this on the Internet. I'm putting this on the Internet. Which I thought was hilarious. To tell your client, you're his manager, you're supposed to be guiding him to make sure it's not on there.
Julian
Yeah, but Ray J, it's like, come on, what are we doing, man? We supposed to.
Rory
I kind of wish it was. I wish it was old Vegas Coke. Coke, Ray, that day. Because I think things would have went a little different.
Julian
Ah, man, I'm glad. I'm glad Ray J was, you know.
Rory
He would have put the red hoodie, red flip flops. Ah, man, Ray J, is he red basketball shorts on?
Damaris
Am I live charlamagne?
Julian
Yeah, but once you.
Rory
I'm not gonna curse, but these punks.
Julian
Nah, man, I'm glad Ray J was, was the, was the level headed one and same and walked away from that.
E
Good for Chris for. For intervening. So it looks like allegedly Chris was in his car and saw what was happening and ran out and. And pulled Justin and Christian away from the situation.
Julian
Yeah, like what y'all doing, man? Like raging. Ray J ain't not gonna fight well his sons, man, like Ray J not trying to do that.
Rory
Jokes aside though, I am glad because apparently it was the three brothers and like eight other people and Ray J was pretty much by himself. I'm glad Chris stepped in because that could have went another way. If you do know Ray J's history.
Julian
Yeah.
Rory
I'm not saying he would have done anything, but who he is is tied to like.
Julian
Well, that's why that could have.
Rory
That could have went really, really fucking bad.
Julian
But that's why I'm saying in la. That's why I'm saying what I'm saying. We don't want of course not to see nothing happen. No violence happen to, to Diddy's kids. Like this is, that's. We understand what's going on, we understand the climate right now, but we don't want to see any harm or turn, you know, open our phones to see Diddy's kids fighting in the streets of la. Like that's just fucking stupid. So I'm glad Ray J. I'm glad Chris was there to kind of, you know, diffuse it too. But I'm glad Ray J seems like he was level headed. He did an IG live with, I think Nikki last night or the night before.
Rory
Why you let Nikki press Ray J, man? Ray's trying to mature.
Julian
She didn't press him. I think she was trying to figure.
Rory
Out him singing One Wish on Live.
E
That's Fire.
Rory
That was like, that was like when, when Justin went to Watts.
Julian
Yeah.
Rory
Why you let Nikki do that to Raymond J?
Julian
But I'm just gonna, I'm just, I'm just glad that because we, again, we've, we've seen Ray J's demeanor when it was a whole different thing and he was, you know, on a thousand and. But I'm glad that Ray J seems to be more calm, more mature, you know, more peaceful. Because again, we get it. We know, but we don't want to see puffs kids fighting. We don't want to see that.
Rory
Does Ken Combs not know that he has an indoor basketball court and an outdoor basketball court? Indoor pool. And an outdoor pool, exactly. Now they're gonna make Ray pull all his whips out.
Damaris
Seven Rolls Royces.
E
Allegedly. This is the.
Rory
I'm at the motherfucking Palm Hotel.
E
Allegedly. This is the third occasion of the Diddy sons trying to press Ray J. Third time.
Julian
Yeah.
Rory
And listen, they, they gotta come back to New York, obviously for the case stuff. They've been supporting their father. Did they not know Ray got guys in Brooklyn's that that'll bend them over and stick in their booty.
Julian
That's why I'm just glad Ray J is a whole different person now, man. Because we don't need another episode.
Rory
He told Angela, yee, I'm get someone to rape. She went, oh my God.
Damaris
Poor Angela.
Rory
My friend loved Angela. I promise this is not continuing our beef.
Julian
Now Angela gonna see you though. Angela gonna see you too.
Rory
She got goons in Jersey and Brooklyn, I want no smoke. That was the funniest shit. When Ray J said he gonna have someone sticking in Fab's booty. And Angela went, oh my gosh, yo. It was such a natural reaction to the entire thing.
Damaris
That's the funniest in the World.
Rory
Anyway, Ray J is a fucking legend. Thank you for everything you've given to the culture. I hope this gets resolved up. They speak. I mean, listen, I get that that's their dad and this must be tough for them. So. Yeah, but I just don't think this is the route because now you're gonna have to really approach a lot of people. No, but when does this end? Because no one said anything good about Puff.
Julian
Yeah, but that's what I'm saying. I don't. Again, this is Puff's kids, you know.
Rory
Except for DJ Envy.
Julian
I understand a lot of people have things to say about his, about Puff right now. And as his kids, you know, they feel like they gotta hold Pops down. But, you know, just. Everybody just, you know, just relax. Let the court have his due date, let the trial have his due date, and you know, again, prayers to them. Because it gotta be hard to hear people saying things like that about your dad and hear things like this coming out about your father and then see these people in real life. So naturally you want to. You're going to approach them and want to have a conversation, but, you know, wanting to get physical, when it starts getting to that point, we got to be very careful because again, this is somebody's kids, you know, these are, these are, these are real people that we're talking about in the streets that are connected to some serious situations and things like that. So we don't want it to go there, you know, I mean, like, that's just. Everybody just chill. Again, shout out to Ray J for being level headed. Shout out to Chris for seeing it and, you know, wanting to be the bigger person as well and making sure that nothing got too crazy. You know, words can get exchanged. That's. That's natural. But as long as it doesn't get.
Rory
Physical, conversation is fun. Yeah, conversation and maybe warranted. I don't know if. If Ray J has had somewhat of a relationship with Puff's kids because I guess, you know, industry's small, Everyone sees everyone. Yeah, I can see the kids feeling a way of like, bro, he was always around us. And now you saying this.
Julian
I totally.
Rory
But a combo could be had.
Julian
I totally understand.
Rory
It don't have to be that.
Julian
No, definitely no violence, man.
Rory
Especially in la. It's just.
Julian
We don't need that. Let's not even bring that into the mix.
Rory
Well, I mean, when I'm in LA in November, I'm not, I'm not going anywhere. I'm locking myself in the studio.
Julian
When I'm in LA in November for three weeks working.
Damaris
Yo, he told the exact dates and shit.
E
He just said, where I live.
Julian
He loved doing that. And then be surprised when somebody run up on him. Yeah, How'd you know? Episode three, he was waiting for you.
Rory
Who would run down. I don't know. I don't have beef with nobody.
Julian
Just. Yeah, no, but you put the address out there, that's all one.
Rory
All right. I put addresses out there.
Julian
You do. You'd be like, yo, we staying right across the street from that one. It's like, God damn, man.
E
Just give him the room where that mural is.
Rory
No, you talking about episode yesterday. That's going out on Patreon.
Julian
I'm talking about any episode.
Rory
All I said was the restaurant, staying there.
Julian
I'm talking about anytime we talk about where we going. Trust and believe. You're gonna lean into. You're gonna give. You're gonna give little egg drops away. Yeah, you know the pink dot right there on the corner? Like, yo, fam, you know the worst.
E
Kobe mural is in la.
Rory
Give those little tidbits, let everyone know.
Julian
Yeah, Let them know where you at. I don't stay there no more.
Rory
So it's just further proof. I'll tell you where you. Where I'm at.
Julian
Yeah. All right. Where's Ari?
E
Limited LA with all your chains on? That's what you're saying?
Damaris
I mean, go to the lace. Go to my ice.
Julian
You okay?
Damaris
Sorry.
Julian
All right. Going through something. Can you call Ari Lennox?
Rory
I'm not. I'm not gonna call Ari.
Julian
Why?
Rory
Love, love, love.
Julian
I want to make sure Ari you.
E
Won'T find in our green room.
Julian
I with Ari, man. I want that in our green room.
E
Oh, yeah.
Julian
Used to love Ari, man.
Rory
Until mall ruined all that.
Julian
But how did I ruin it, man? Damn.
Rory
Because I gave RER location in D.C. and then she showed up and then you on her entire camp. And then she. She took a hint from you and her camp.
Julian
See, Ari, what I was really trying to do was give you foresight. Yeah. And I was trying to give. You know what I'm saying? Give you the game early. Ari Lennox went on Instagram yesterday and she posted a story of, you know, just audio, black screen, getting venting, getting her words out.
E
18 minutes.
Julian
18 minutes of venting and just talking about her displeasures with her current situation with Interscope and Dreamville. She says Interscope and Dreamville have been playing with me all month and the month is just ending, so we know 30 days Interscope and Dreamville been playing with her. So she's exhausted. She's tired of people treating me like they're sorry for me and like I'm the face of mental health. I'm okay, and I've never been happier. What I don't like is being signed and. And lied to and manipulated. Not one person at those labels ever knew how to market or protect me. Y'all don't know to have constant letdown and neglect. This industry stuff will never be for me. Now, first of all, we fuck with Dreamville, obviously, regardless of my stance on J. Cole taking his. His diss record back.
Rory
It's just funny hearing it from your voice, that's all.
Julian
Nah, fuck with. Yeah, I don't agree with that shit. Never will.
Rory
Starting this conversation out there, we don't have. It's just funny coming from you.
Julian
No, but I'm saying that she's dream. Still fuck with E. Love what they doing. But obviously now that one of their artists is disgruntled and is not happy about her situation there at Dreamville. So what does that mean now for ahrii? Do you think that Dreamville will release her? I think they will. I don't see Eve and J. Cole and them keeping her somewhere where if she's not unhappy, if she. This is her first time. I think publicly speaking like this about Dreamville, I could be wrong. It may have been another something something somewhere a couple years ago.
Rory
Not that I remember anything that was labeled specific with her.
Julian
Well, this is. This is her calling out. 18 minutes of audio is like.
Rory
I listen to all 18, and I have an admitted Ari bias. That's my people, and I've come on here and said that. What'd you say?
E
I said that was your sound bath.
Rory
My what?
E
Sound bath. Sound bath.
Julian
The sound bath that you had.
E
I still don't even understand 18 minutes of audio of Ari talking. Sound bath. Naudio, you experience.
Julian
You took a bath while you was.
Rory
I didn't take.
E
You don't remember Rory's whole sound bath journey? It was a callback.
Julian
I remember. He doesn't.
Rory
He was in another sound journey. It was not in a bathtub. What are you talking.
E
It's called a sound bath.
Rory
It's called a sound journey.
E
All right. See, they're called sound baths.
Rory
There wasn't water inside.
Julian
It's.
E
The bath isn't water.
Damaris
You're not being bathed by the water.
Julian
It's the sound that you're being bathed by.
E
They're called baths.
Rory
No, there wasn't a sponge. Nobody put any soap on me.
E
Jesus Christ.
Julian
You didn't wake up Wet.
Rory
I did not see Meg the Stallion in my sound journey and wake up Wet. Anyways, I have an admitted bias with Ari. I've come to defend her often in my years of podcasting. I'm coming in unbiased right now and still on her side. I listened to all 18 minutes. I fully understand her frustration. Yes, I see the Internet going, yo, Ari's just being Ari again.
Julian
What is she really frustrated about? Not being able to put out music?
Rory
No, no, no. It's putting out music, but how it's being marketed. Because being a soul singer to begin with, you're at the bottom of the totem pole when it comes to majors regardless. So why are you having me put out music if you are not going to market or promote it whatsoever? Why do I have 700,000 subscribers on Spotify and I'm only reaching 3% of my returning customers? The main reason at this point to be on a major is. Is to manipulate the algorithms. They are all intertwined with Spotify, Apple, everyone's friends. It's all musical chairs.
Julian
Yeah.
Rory
That is the biggest incentive outside of money to be on a major. Advanced money is to be able to have that in with the DSPs, with promotion, playlisting, everything. Making sure that every fan that has listened to you has your song in front of their face when you release it. So if that's not happening, what the fuck am I doing at this major? What am I doing? Just getting in debt for the fuck of it? Like, if you want to spend money on a visual, because I think the smoke visual is great, but also, like, not a waste of money, but I think dumping so much money, individuals is just kind of ass backwards in this era of music. Why are you spending all this money that I have to stand behind? This is something I'm gonna have to recoup and not promote it, right? What. What am I doing here now?
Julian
You listen to the whole 18 minutes. Did she. Did she have anything to say about JJ. Cole specifically?
Rory
EB specifically? To be quite honest, it didn't feel. I know she obviously said Interscope in Dreamville in this post, but in that 18 minutes, to me, it felt much more like an Interscope thing than it did a Dreamville thing.
Julian
Okay.
Rory
And it felt like a management thing as well, which, from my understanding, comes from Dreamville, so I get her frustration there. But if I'm putting out a single, why is Interscope and Universal not behind this? Why would you trick me into doing this? Yeah, I understand her frustration. I think a lot of artists on a label Feel this way. I was just talking with reason and we were having a label conversation. He was like, yo, I would be on tour, and before I did paid ads on my own, I would show up to a city and there'd be people in my merch going, yo, when are you gonna do a show? Like, I'm here for a show. How the do you not know that? That's frustrating to an artist when your side of the contract is to deliver good work. I think, of course, the bigger artists are successful because they cover everything. Part of their music is within their marketing. That's what makes certain artists geniuses and makes them top tier. But most artists don't come into this game knowing all that shit. They know how to make music. You're being signed because you're great at making this product. Our agreement is I get to own your product because I'm going to market it and then we're going to split the profits. And if you're not doing your end of the deal. Yeah, I understand why Ari would go back on social media and be like, why the fuck did you make me do this smoke video?
Julian
I get it. Did she. Because I remember the thing happened. I don't know if I missed it or not, but did Dreamville show public support for her after the whole Rod Wave thing on tour?
Rory
How. How would one show support?
Julian
I don't know. Did I. Did they. Did they release a statement, like, supporting her, backing her, just anything? Did. Did she get any support from the label after that situation?
Damaris
But what. I mean, I guess I'm asking what support would you be looking.
Julian
Cause she was a little. She was a little disgruntled about the tour, I believe. Right. She wasn't. She wasn't happy about.
Rory
She had things being thrown at her.
E
Yeah, she said things.
Rory
Then she went out the next night in a. In a hockey gear because shit is being thrown at her. Lean into it, which was great. And then at the end of the tour, she was like, yo, that was really rough. And then everyone gave her shit for it. Like, she didn't show up every goddamn night and perform after. She was uncomfortable. She's not allowed to say after she fulfilled her contract, showed up every night, gave her all. She's not allowed to be like, yo, that was an awful experience. That, like, I get why people look at Ari because she does go on tangents on social media, and that's not the place to find any type of empathy. It's a place to get clowned.
Julian
Right.
Rory
So I get why people just have fun with It. But if you get down to the logic of it, he was throwing at me, I still showed up every night, and now you're giving me.
Julian
Yeah.
Rory
If I just walked off the tour. Yeah. Now it's a contractual thing now. Now I'm not doing what I said I was going to do. Even if it was good for good reason. She kept performing.
Julian
Yeah, but did the, did the label say anything?
E
Not. I can't find anything specific. I did want to mention another thing that because I listened to quite a bit of this, I didn't do the full 18 minutes. But she did say in terms of marketing, she's tired of being the face of mental health. She doesn't want to be branded as that and cast in that light. Do you have any comments about that part of it?
Damaris
So, yes. And to piggyback off that, because I did listen to all 18 minutes. Tyrell. There was, you know, the Terrell show with the big blue wall, where the artists go in there and sing Words.
Rory
One of my favorite, favorite platform.
Damaris
Yeah, same, same. I guess at one point Ari was saying something and Terrell kind of like, you know, gave her kind of like a pep talk of like, you know, like, we really appreciate you, and kind of uplifted her. And I'm assuming from what I was listening to, what it sounds like I could be wrong was that Ari told her label to make sure that that episode didn't come out because she doesn't want to be the face of mental Health. And it kind of looked like, I don't know, like, I guess she didn't want, like, the way that, that looked of him uplifting her or whatever, which I, I, I just don't, I don't agree with Ariana. I think that it was a really good episode, and I think that that is great marketing and that it does need to come out. Like this got people. Even if she wouldn't have did her rant, I think this would have gotten people talking about her and the fact that she just dropped a single. But, yes, that's what she was referring to. She really didn't want her. That's why she said she didn't feel supported, because she didn't. She told them she didn't want it to come out and it came out anyway.
Rory
I mean, that comes with, with the game. Yeah, unfortunately.
E
And you're playing with.
Rory
If, if you continue to talk about your mental health, which I think is, is great, and even if you use social media as an outlet for it and people can relate to it, I think it's Great. But the response to that is people are going to think you may have some mental health issues because you're saying you have them. Like, after shows. I love when people come up to me and talk. Talk to me about mental health and the stuff I talk about on the podcast and how it helps them. I don't want to do that. It makes me super uncomfortable and I fucking hate when people do it. But who am I to say anything? I talk about mental health on this podcast. I'm aware of what comes with talking about those subjects. People are going to reply to them.
Julian
Yeah.
Rory
And yes, it sucks and makes me uncomfortable, but I'm a weird fucking person. That's just one of those, like, chalk it up to the game. That's just what comes with this shit.
Damaris
Yeah.
Rory
But when it comes to my business, and you are not holding up your end of the deal by marketing and promoting a single that you guys all agreed was great. We're gonna do the mental health video too. And you don't. And I'm doing my own Google spend ads from my crib. And I'm signed to Interscope Records. Yes. I'm going to have an issue. And again, we only know what she told us there could. Interscope could have a whole nother side.
Julian
Yeah.
Rory
But I will say to Universal, Warner, Sony, this is the result of laying off 70% of your staff.
Damaris
Huh.
Rory
You don't have anyone to market anything, so. Wow. Ari, whose job is not to know what the fuck Interscope is doing with their staff, shows up with a single and wonders why no one is marketing it. Because there's no one there to do it.
Julian
Yeah.
Rory
There's one fucking person. You laid everyone off. There's three people working on a roster of 2020 artists.
Julian
Yeah.
Rory
Of course this is gonna slip through the cracks. And it's soul music. I think she makes incredible music. It's my type of shit. Soul music is at the bottom of the totem pole. And when you have five employees, you think we're focused on a black woman that's making soul music.
Damaris
Yeah.
Rory
It's just weird. I'm in a Donald Duck.
Damaris
And also. And also saying.
Rory
And also, I can't take me seriously.
Julian
You're the face of mental health right now. As we speak. You are the face of mental health. Whether or not right now, the.
E
The down to Rory's point, the downsizing of labels, I think we're going to see a lot of poorly handled releases come the end of Q. The Q4 and heading into Q1 of next year. Because as someone that worked at a major, I know literally one person that I worked closely with at Atlantic that's still at a major and they're. And even they are no longer at Atlantic. Like, it's. It's crazy. So you're just getting dump names on your roster. And I'm sure those people are just checking the boxes of just doing like the bare minimum of basic YouTube spends and Instagram ad spend and then just hoping that the artist record just pops on their own with putting zero thought into like a creative rollout.
Julian
So this was yesterday. Did. Again, did anybody from the label post anything today as of yet?
Damaris
No, they shouldn't post anything. Yeah, they shouldn't respond to it.
Rory
I always let.
Julian
Like you said, they shouldn't.
Damaris
No, not publicly. To her, yes.
Julian
Any type of support. I'm not saying have a full conversation. I'm not saying somebody should get on Atlantic's IG and put a black screen and just speak for 20 minutes. I'm saying any type of post anything saying, yo, Ari, we support you. We're here for you.
E
They don't know the public.
Damaris
No, you. That's for. Yeah, if you. If, Ari, we support you. We love you, is a phone call to her. Why you gotta let the public know that?
Rory
Yeah, like.
Julian
For her, she did.
Rory
Punch will get on Twitter and just tell you what's going on. Like when him and SZA have back and forth. So she does rants. But that's been Punch's personality from the start of social media. Punch will get up there and clear things up and talk to the heathens of the timeline. Not everyone feels the need to do that. I like when Punch does it, so. But I don't expect EBE or anyone from Dreamville to then go and explain what's going on. And I'm sure they're having private conversations.
Julian
I'm not saying explain anything. I'm just saying just post something saying, ari, we're here, we support you, we love you, and we're going to get through this. Any. Something, anything.
Damaris
But I just.
Julian
He was in Wayno's comments when he was talking about some. He didn't get in the army.
Damaris
That's different. That's not business. This isn't attached to business. First of all, anything that is said on the Internet, anything could cause Ari to go off again. Like, they gotta handle behind closed doors.
Julian
For sure, but they also have to show. So, I mean, show some public stance with Ari. Like, yo, listen, we got her. She's family, we love her. Some. Some type of public Support that. They need to do that because that's their artist. You should publicly support your artists. I'm not saying. I'm not saying something out of the blue here. You should public publicly support your artist. If your artist is publicly saying, I'm not happy here. Not saying they have to go through the whole contractual online, but they should absolutely release a public statement showing some type of support for Ari. I don't think that's a big ask.
Damaris
I feel like I. I don't.
Rory
From Dreamville. Maybe not from Interscope. It's a. I went to Lupe's protest when he was boycotting in front of the Atlantic.
Julian
She publicly said Interscope and Dreamville have been playing with me all month. Is that not what she posted?
Rory
Yeah. You're just not going to get that from a major. I will. I will say I don't disagree with you, but do you? All right, how does that look? Because I don't disagree with you with the Dreamville part. How do they support that? Just EB tweets out.
Julian
I'm not whoever tweet. I'm just saying show some type of public support for your artist that has showed public discretion. She has shown that publicly that she's not happy. So I'm just saying somebody from the label, anybody who controls the show. Ahrii, we love you. We're gonna get through anything that's a.
Damaris
Bite in the ass because anything that they post is gonna be met with. If you loved her so much, you would have did this. If you loved her so much, she wouldn't have had it.
Julian
Yeah, but I think not posting anything is a problem too, though.
Rory
Okay.
Julian
But not discussing it publicly. She addressed it publicly. You got to say that's on her.
Damaris
But that. But. And most people will say that that was unprofessional of her. I'm down for Ari to express herself however she wants to, but people would say in the traditional world that was unprofessional what she did. Why would they go and be unprofessional?
Rory
What was unprofessional?
Damaris
I don't.
Rory
I delivered a great song and a great video.
Damaris
I don't agree that it's unprofessional.
Julian
Traditionally, probably discussing publicly that you're an 18 minute video.
Rory
She's an artist. What artists supposed to do.
Julian
Okay.
Rory
And Prince wasn't unprofessional when he put Slave over his mouth.
Julian
And we've seen labels show public support for artists before via social media pages. Right. Have we not to clean up.
Rory
I'm trying to Think, like, punch might be the only one that I've ever.
Damaris
Seen clean up to the point.
Rory
Even punch don't eat. Like, sometimes it's not support. Sometimes, like, me and sister don't agree. Like, all that.
Damaris
Yeah, it gives.
Julian
I'm not mad at that.
Rory
Oh, that's why I said punch is.
Julian
One of a kind. And I'm not mad at that. Definitely not mad at that. That.
Rory
I just.
Julian
Why not? Somebody just. Somebody say something.
Rory
Okay. Of course they were having conversations behind the scenes. We can all.
Damaris
Yes, assume.
Julian
Absolutely.
Rory
After she did that, I'm sure she was on the phone with E, with people from Dream, though, for sure.
Julian
That's another. That's another conversation.
Rory
Ain't no way that she does that.
Julian
Or not. Or not. I'm just saying we ain't gonna just act like no, we for sure know. It could be nobody still hasn't reached out to her.
Rory
Well, then to me, that would be even crazier if. If we're either on the phone or we don't have a conversation behind the scenes. And then you tweet out support for me. To me. That's gonna piss me off more. That's more of a slight.
Damaris
Yeah, because then we haven't even come.
Rory
To agreement, and now you just trying to do PR cleanup. Like, we love all our artists.
Julian
I'm just saying they probably. They didn't show no support publicly. They probably haven't had a conversation yet privately either. I'm just saying it's not that. It doesn't mean that. They're definitely having a conversation privately because they didn't say nothing publicly. No, that's not. That's not how that goes. Somebody. The labels are like, damn, she mad. We'll get on a call next week with her. Something like, they probably haven't spoken yet. There's no guarantee that after last night, by today, somebody got on the phone with Ari from the label. That's not a guarantee. They probably reached out, was like, yo, we'll get on a call next week. But that's not a real conversation. She's obviously discouraged. She's obviously unhappy, and shit has been piling up. And last Last night or whatever, she felt like, all right, I'm about to just let all this shit out. I don't know if that person. If they've cleaned it up and had a conversation already, will they have a conversation? Absolutely. It's business. They have to. But I don't know if anybody from Dreamville or Interscope has spoken to her yet. I don't. I don't know. I just can't. I can't speak to that.
Rory
I just. I mean, I don't know the selective politics with. With moving the goalposts on shit again. I understand Ari has gone to social media and had a lot of wild rants before, but when SZA does it, it's revered. Like, it. It really does feel like we do pick and choose, and the goalpost is moved with certain artists because she is not saying anything SZA hasn't said in Twitter in the last 10 years when it came to TDE and her woes.
Julian
Yeah, but somebody from the labels is talking publicly on social media as well in response to what SZA's saying to.
Rory
The point that some of us thought it was a rollout, which I. I don't think it was.
Julian
But that's my point.
Rory
I think she was really crying at SNL like, yo, what the fuck?
Julian
Yeah, but that's my point. Somebody publicly from the label is showing support, whether it's what people want to hear or not. They're responding to her public statements.
Rory
So I guess what you're really getting at is Julian should have said something yesterday about Ari.
Julian
Yeah. All right.
E
Poor Julian in this outfit.
Damaris
Like, you just.
Julian
Well, you.
Rory
Why didn't you support your artist?
E
That's Rory.
Julian
Well, you're wearing a scarf, so that's kind of.
E
She was on your album, Rory.
Rory
That is true.
Damaris
So why you ain't supporter?
E
Why you ain't supporter?
Julian
He ain't.
Rory
I always support.
Julian
This is him support right here on his platform.
Rory
Yeah. Did you not listen to the last 15, 20 minute rant I just did. I support Ari anytime some happens.
Damaris
Well, we love Ari behind the scenes.
Rory
And publicly all the time.
Julian
Love Ari. Ari Healing Ari, we're here for you. I don't have your number, but Rory does. So if you feel like cursing me out, you can curse Rory out and.
Rory
He'Ll tell me, oh, no, I've been cursed out because of you.
Julian
Because of me. Damn. I'm always getting you cursed out. I'm sorry, man.
Rory
We. We always let Julian get his mental health, Dreamville, PTSD off. You don't know what it's affected in my life either. I've stayed quiet about it.
Julian
I just said I'm sorry. Like, what do you want me to do?
Rory
Thank God. Me, Felton, boss, Eve all pieced everything up, but there's still some tension with other. Because of you.
Julian
Because of me.
Rory
And now you in the Meg doc saying women can't make a choice about their bodies. You said I can't sit next to you, man.
Julian
That's crazy. I said women can't vote as well.
E
Clip it.
Julian
Women can't vote.
Rory
What are you.
Julian
Wall says women can't vote.
Rory
What are your views on Puerto Rico? I was. I was waiting for this Metro Booming topic because I know you're excited.
Julian
Why would I be excited?
Rory
That was up because now all the OVO stands on Twitter are like, what does it say about Kendrick that raps with this guy? Like, he went on like that.
E
Metro is that.
Rory
Yeah.
Julian
Metro Booming is being sued for sex. First of all, before we start anything, I with Metro, we show support for him when he lost his mom. Unfortunately, that wasn't so long ago, so I'm pretty sure he's still dealing with that. But this is something else that he has to deal with now that is unfortunate as well. Metro Booming is being sued for sexual assault. TMZ is reporting a woman has filed a lawsuit against the producer, claiming he raped her while she passed out at a Beverly Hills Hotel in 2016. Again, this just come out. We don't have any, you know, further details. Hopefully, you know, this isn't true, but if it is. If it is, then Metro.
Rory
Yeah, take the case seriously. Listen to this woman. Let's go. Go through the process, the. To the best of the.
Julian
And if she's liability and if it comes out that she's lying and it's.
Rory
Not even say that out the gate, I'm just.
Julian
I'm just saying both sides. If it's true, fuck Metro.
Rory
Agreed.
Julian
If it's not true, fuck that.
Rory
Young lady, don't put Xanax pills in women's alcohol.
E
Allegedly, he invited her to a studio in la. She took half a Xanax and a shot of alcohol before passing out on the couch. Allegedly.
Julian
Allegedly.
E
Kimzy.
Julian
Again, if this is true, fuck him. If it's not, fuck her.
E
Yeah, she said she regained consciousness and they were on bed and he was beep. And then made her perform oral sex. She allegedly blacked out again and later woke up with Metro telling her that she was going to be sent to another hotel, whatever.
Julian
But.
E
Yeah.
Rory
Well, yo, man, I hope justice is served in whichever way. The truth is.
Julian
It's just. I mean, I don't know how much partying and, you know, people got to do to understand the line of if somebody is obviously incoherent. I don't know why you would even think to go further. Even if this is.
Rory
I agree with you.
Julian
Even if this is a woman you had consensual sex with before. Right? Let's say you've known this woman. This is what y'all do. Y'all hang out, y'all, you know, y'all party, y'all have sex. Cool. But if a woman is incoherent and obviously doesn't know what's going on, where she's at right now, I just don't know how people would then try to still go through with and sex.
Rory
The moral and obvious to the side with that. Why would you want to do that to begin with?
Julian
Yeah, I've never understood what would be appealing about that. I've never. I was never into having sex with girls that was drunk. Like, if they talk. I was just. I was never into. I never understood that. Like I said, even if it's a woman, I've been, you know, sexual before. Like, consensually. Yeah, obviously. But even if it is, like, okay, tonight she got way too lit. Put her in the room, close the door, let her sleep that shit off. Hopefully she don't throw up all over the sheets, like, whatever. But to climb on top of a woman and try to have sex in that state and you know, she doesn't know what's going on is forever weird to me.
Rory
Even when. When your girl has, like, too many mimosas during the day or like, when she come back and she's on, like, that freaky time, it's like, get grass.
Julian
And water, go lay down.
Rory
This is not gonna. This isn't gonna go well.
Julian
Yeah, take a shake some BC powder and go lay down, man. We. We not. We can't do this. We'll talk in a few hours.
Rory
That's what you give them instead of Xanax.
Julian
Yeah, you're a good guy. Yeah, put that in. I mean, drink that and you're gonna wake up with a headache and I'm. Go ahead, drink that. It's all good.
Rory
I want to talk about the Snoop album, but I really don't want LA thinking that I. I dislike them.
Julian
Snoop put an album out.
Rory
He announced his album with Dr. Dream. Put out the track list as well. A lot of good features. I think there's a feature on every song. I don't doubt that it. It'll be good. I just. I don't know. I don't know if I'm rushing. It's called missionary, I believe.
Julian
So. Doggy style mission, you know, he's older.
Rory
He's older now. I like. I see what they were trying to do.
Julian
I just don't. When do. When do our rappers stop rapping?
Damaris
When it stopped being benefit Fun or beneficial for them.
Rory
I like that Dre and Snoop, in this time in their careers, get together to do a joint album. Like, I think that's cool. If Snoop was just going around trying to find the hottest current producers to make an album, I'd be like, man, I don't know if we need that nostalgic. Yeah, it's Dre and Snoop. I'm probably not gonna run to it, per se, but, you know, it's still Snoop and Dre, I guess if he.
Damaris
Do another sensual seduction.
E
Well, I love that.
Julian
Listen, we don't. But this is, like, why we couldn't get this 10 years ago, this album.
Rory
Because he was Snoop lying.
Julian
Okay, so he wasn't rapping 10 years ago.
Rory
No, he was a Christian reggae singer.
Julian
So Dr. Drake couldn't have. He handled slaps for that.
Rory
What scares me a bit with Dre.
Julian
Had no slaps for the. For the Snoop line.
Rory
It's unfair to say. So I'm gonna apologize to start. Based off all of these records having features, I'm scared that these were just a bunch of records that Dre has had forever, and Snoop just added his verse to these songs. Because, you know, Dre has a hundred thousand songs just sitting. And they just picked the joints. Yeah, I did. Here's 15 records with Janae. Pick which one you like.
Julian
Yeah.
E
Oh, we got a new Eminem feature. Lucky us.
Damaris
All right. Method Man, Smitty, Sting.
Julian
You run into that Baby D. Tom.
Damaris
That would probably be.
Rory
Every time.
Julian
It's cool to say it, man. We not jacking this. We're not listening to this.
E
He's got a record with Tom Petty and Jelly Roll that's probably fire, though. That's in Last Dance with Mary Jane.
Damaris
I think y'all sleeping on Snoop a little bit.
Julian
I am. All right, now in 2024, definitely. I'm sleeping. I don't. I'm not. Give me a Freddie Gibbs album. Give me a new Benny Today Dr. Dre album. Give me a fucking. You know what I'm saying? Like, give me, like.
Damaris
Well, you could get that, too, but I mean.
Julian
No, we can't. We can't get. No, Dr. Dre produced a whole Benny the Butcher album.
Rory
That would be great.
Damaris
Well, maybe Benny don't want that. Maybe he likes that.
Julian
No, Benny wants that. Let me promise you something that Benny will not turn down. If his phone ring and say, yo, Dre said come to la, he gonna produce your whole next.
Rory
Matter of fact, I'll make it easier for you. Find me one rapper on planet Earth that would not who's turning down a.
Julian
Full album produced by Dr. Dre. No rap is turning that down again. We don't understand the nostalgia behind it. Like, these are two legends. I love Snoop. Snoop Doggy Style was one of the. I like, I told all the time I had to sneak and listen to that album because my mom wasn't having it. So obviously I love Snoop, but in 2024, I just don't know if I want to hear Snoop rapping. That's all. It's 2024.
E
Yeah. Waiting 21 years to drop a sequel is.
Julian
Yeah. It's just not. It's like, you know, I mean, let's. Let's. Let's get these. Let's get some of these younger, younger rappers on these Dre beats, man, and let them go crazy, man.
Rory
Yeah, I agree. I mean, I do love that Drake, you know, keeps his exclusive people that deserve it.
Julian
I don't.
Rory
But, you know, I like, I love that that Primo works with so many young artists. Like, they don't have to be legacy or a legend yet, but Prem will be like, yeah, let's work. I. I do like when producers do that type of stuff. But, yeah, I feel like with Dre, either has to be Dre's artist and that's as far as you're gonna go.
Julian
Yeah. I just feel like there's so many dope MCs and rappers now that will benefit off of a Dr. Dre produced album way more than Snoop will at this point. I mean, what does Snoop have to. What is he gaining from this? This is just like a. We just was hanging out for three days in the studio. We had. We fucked around and got four songs done and was like, fuck it, let's just put a whole joint together. I mean, why not do that with some of these? You know what I mean? Like this. Let's get some of these other artists.
Rory
He's a billionaire and probably only wants to be around people that he likes. He has that. That luxury at this point. You can do. Yeah, I just want to hang out with my mans that I've known since 1991.
Julian
And he Listen and he has that right to. But I'm just saying, if we go. If you're going to give us music, at least give us music that we want. I don't think we want this. Nobody wants a Snoop and Dr. Dre album. 2020.
Rory
I mean, I guarantee that.
Julian
Give us a D if you're gonna.
Damaris
Give us a detox, but see, you're not.
Julian
But that doesn't Back in your Daffy Duck ensemble.
Rory
Donald Duck.
Julian
Oh, Donald, I'm sorry. Sorry. I got my. Got my respect.
Rory
Listen, that's my bow tie.
Julian
We. They. They. Them. I'm sorry, I think you misunderstand.
Damaris
It's not like Dre giving. I'm pretty sure Snoop wanted to do something, and Dre was like, I got some beats like it.
Rory
Like, I also guarantee Interscope and Jimmy Iovine put Google Ads behind this album.
Julian
All right, all right. So can we. Can we. Can we agree to something? When this album drop, can we talk about the first week numbers?
Damaris
When do we care about first week numbers?
Rory
Why. Why does that matter?
Julian
Yeah. What.
Rory
Why would a doctor dream any song album in 2024 care? Like, who cares what they sell the first one?
Julian
This is still Snoop and Dream. This is still two of the icons of legends.
Damaris
Yes, they're. They're very, very.
Julian
We sit here. We sit here and talk about when Eminem album. What he did his first week.
Damaris
That's because Eminem don't stop dropping music.
Rory
He's active all the time.
Damaris
He's active.
Julian
Okay.
Rory
And people know Snoop as so much more than a rapper. He's a personality. He's the most famous rapper that's ever existed.
E
He just went to every event at the Olympics.
Rory
The Olympics.
Julian
So that means we don't look at his first week numbers from his new album.
Damaris
No. Yes, that's exactly. Sorry. Yes, that's what.
Julian
All right, so don't bring up nobody else first week numbers then.
Rory
Are we those guys? We don't.
Julian
Yes, yes, we've had. Yes, we've talked. We've had plenty of conversations about first week numbers.
Rory
But when have we ever said that defines who an artist. Did I say that music's good?
Julian
Did I say that defined anybody?
Rory
I think it's great.
Julian
This does nothing for their legacy. I just want to have a conversation about people not wanting this album from these two legends.
Damaris
Okay, but who gives a what people want when music is art? You do art. Because you mean kids.
Julian
What people want. Yes. You. You think they don't care what people want? You think Snoop and Dre don't care what people want?
Damaris
I think at this point in their career, I don't think it's making or breaking anything.
Julian
I really know it's not making or breaking them. Their leg, their. Their legacy is solidified. What I'm saying is if you think that they don't care what people want, they wouldn't be putting music out into the consumer space if they didn't care what people wanted. They're still businessmen if they absolutely care.
Rory
If Dre cared what I wanted or people wanted, the last album wouldn't have been chronic 2001. We've been asking for a Dre album forever, and I like that. I like. I like the Compton album. Don't get me wrong. It's a good project, but he put that out because it was paired with the movie that was never coming out. If that movie didn't come out. Dre does not give a what we want.
Julian
I don't think so.
Rory
And Snoop did. Snoop lion. All this other shit that clearly he didn't care what we wanted from Snoop Dogg.
E
No one cares.
Rory
Snoop and Dre do not give a fuck about what the fans want. And that's fine with me. I'm not saying in a negative way that's what's made them the geniuses that they are. They never.
Julian
So this is just a passion project?
Damaris
Passion project, Probably.
Rory
I don't even think it's passion. I think it's just friends.
Julian
Like, it's a friend project. It's a friend album. Fun album.
Rory
It's not Watch the Throne where they were at the peaks of their career.
Julian
Oh, I know it's not Watch the Throne. I'm very clear. This is not Watch the Throne.
Rory
I know that you're a Yankees fan.
Julian
Who, me? Yeah, all the way.
Damaris
Oh, okay. This makes sense.
Julian
I mean, you got.
Rory
Why you got the Dodger Blue on right now? Thank God you stayed there with the locks.
Julian
Dodger Blue. Dodger Blue is royal blue. This is not royal blue. Get your blues together.
E
And you got a whole blue ensemble on. You know what blue that is?
Julian
That's Dodger Blue.
E
That's Dodger Blue.
Rory
It's such a bad blue.
E
Dodger ass Duck.
Rory
No, I'm not saying it. Dodger should be compared to Watcher Duck, but that was two artists at the peak of their career that were very focused on making something that we would all love and would push the sound forward. This is just two old friends making an album together. It's not. It's not that old.
Damaris
Working our cars in the backyard.
Julian
I don't give a. Which. I told him, out of here. I'm bringing up them first weeks. As soon as that drop.
Rory
I don't even know if they'll post what they are. You're gonna have to, like, pay for that billboard.
Julian
I'll pay for it.
Damaris
Well, no, they don't have control.
Julian
I want to see what Jelly Roll with Tom Petty, all the mother features on there. Eminem. I want to see what they did first week.
Rory
You don't think Dr. Dre, Jimmy Iovine and Snoop Dogg have the power to stop. Stop anyone from posting those numbers? I think they do. That's the real Illuminati right there.
E
Or just the power to make them whatever they want them to be.
Damaris
I don't know about that. Not in this day and age.
Rory
I also think Jimmy Iovine don't give a what they sell.
E
Yeah, who gives a with it?
Julian
No, I don't. That this does nothing.
Rory
Hold on. Is this going out on Death Row? Because Snoop owns Death Row now, right? This may not even be a Aftermath Interscope thing at all.
Julian
It should be on the artwork or the track list.
E
Well, it was just. It was just a condom.
Julian
Oh, that's great.
E
Yeah.
Rory
And also, you know, petty relationships for 30 years. They even put the Tams Burger shit where Suge ended up getting arrested for the crime that he committed. They put that at the super bowl halftime show. Snoop then bought Death Row. If Dre and Snoop put out a joint album together on Death Row while Suge is in jail fighting for his life, I think they do it just off the Petty strike. I think they probably had the convo like, yo, it'd be hilarious since you bought Death Row just to. Just to say a fuck you to Suge, that we would do a joint album and put it out on Death Row where he has no control the music. This is a statement for us. I could see that too.
Julian
All that sounds great. I'm just gonna let you know that I want to see what those first week numbers look like. All of that sounds.
Rory
And put an acon feature on it. That went over your head.
Julian
That didn't go over my head. I got it. Definitely got it.
Rory
Do we have voicemails?
E
We do.
Julian
You've got mail.
F
Yo, what's good? Rory and Matt shout out to the rest of the crew. Love this show. Keep doing your thing. I'm trying to make it quick. I need some advice. So I was messing with this girl in Utah. We were off and on.
Julian
Utah.
F
Her ex had lived in Utah as well. I met her while she was on a break with her ex. She ended up moving out to Utah, back home to Northern California. I ended up moving out of Utah, back home to Southern California. And then I got a job in.
Rory
Northern California, moving from Cali just by half crazy. Both them lived in Cali and then moved to Utah.
F
Stands me her weren't even. We were kind of talking, but not really. Like we're kind of off or whatever. And then I Just randomly got this job, making six figures, the whole nine yards, everything, and ended up, you know, moving there. Told her I was moving. She was like, oh, cool. Like maybe we could try things. Whatever. So cool. We tried to explore things. Whatever. Whatever. Things were going good. She out brought me around her family, something her family and her says she's never done. Besides the dude that she was in a super long term relationship with. She told me she loved me, we were doing things. And then she. We have Bible study one day and her ex had saw us and texted her. And things went kind of downhill after that. Then she ended up wanting to take a step back, which is cool.
Julian
I'm wondering.
F
I'm kind of a lover boy, so I'm kind of wondering if I just cool or not.
Julian
Thanks. What do you say? He wondering if. What?
E
He should still pursue her or not?
Julian
Well, he said he's a lover boy, so that means he. He gets in his feelings quick early.
Rory
If you are dating a girl that introduces you to her family, says, I love you, you guys are doing things. Y'all go to Bible study together. All she does is have her ex spot y'all at Bible study and then text her on the side. And now she doesn't want to do this anymore. No, you should not pursue that girl.
E
Yeah, leave her ass in Utah, bro. Yeah, go get some head with a. From Botox in la.
Julian
Leave Utah and go to Houston.
Rory
What do you think the ex, Texas texted her? I think like a Bible quote, like.
E
John 3, 16 or some.
Julian
He said God is watching.
E
Yeah.
Rory
Always remember I'm the Genesis.
Julian
Yeah.
Rory
On the seventh day, losing your girl.
E
If you could think of one spot, that would be the least likely spot to lose your girl. Bible study would be high on that list.
Julian
Yeah. Losing your girl, bro.
E
Pack it up.
Julian
Yeah. I can't leave her.
E
Leave her with him and God.
Julian
If you could lose your girl in church, nowhere safe.
Damaris
Because now you gotta switch churches.
E
You switch religions that.
Rory
Wait, first of all though, like, have y'all been a Bible study?
E
Hell no.
Rory
How. How do you. How does someone spot you a Bible study?
Julian
It's only like 15 people in this.
Rory
If. If that. That's what I'm like. No, he was in the circle.
Julian
Yeah, no, he was. He was.
Rory
He was reading.
Julian
He was. He was running the Bible study like he was the one conducting it.
Rory
He was playing John.
Julian
Yeah, man, let her go, man. Because if you can't go to Bella, no chase.
Damaris
Where the H E double hockey sticks can you go?
Julian
Where can you go and listen?
Rory
Meeting, meeting. A Christian. I haven't heard that in Utah. Like, that's crazy. A bitch is a Mormon.
E
You said we were doing things, which means they were probably, like, holding hands and soaking, maybe.
Damaris
With jeans on. No draws, man.
Rory
Why would you not have drawers on with jeans?
Damaris
So you could feel something during the dry humping.
E
No.
Rory
So you take.
Julian
Wait, hold on.
Rory
So you take your jeans off, then take your underwear off, put your jeans back on.
Damaris
I would assume that you came knowing you were gonna dry hump so that you just wouldn't put drawers on. Right.
E
You would just get carpet burn on your dick if you got denim on.
Rory
Wait, wait. I've definitely heard of pussy appointments. Dick appointments. That whole. I've never heard of a dry hump appointment that you come prepared with. No, put some sweatpants on.
E
Sweatpants?
Rory
If you could plant it. Why you going with denim? Raw?
Julian
And he sound like he wear that Japanese denim, that hard denim.
Damaris
Ooh, that shit. That shit. Your pants stand up in the corner.
Julian
Yeah. Remember red kids in the red.
Rory
He definitely sounds like true religion. Come on, give me my credit.
Julian
Come on, give me my credit.
Damaris
Look at Pedro here.
E
Like, Rory jumped on it before he even had a chance to. Like.
Rory
Yeah, like it was that bad. I was trying to get ahead of the me being shitted on.
Julian
What's his name? Jeremy?
E
Don't know. He also say it. And that was not him, so that's fine.
Julian
All right, well, whatever your name is, sir. In Utah, NBA. Young boy, leave that lady alone.
Rory
I kind of want he should leave her alone. I do want to follow up from him, though. What is that conversation? Like, yo, my. My ex saw us at Bible study. He just text me, and then she just falls back. They did the whole family thing, the I love you thing. They were dry humping.
Julian
Like, no, she still had feelings for him.
Rory
Well, no, that's. That's obvious, but.
Julian
So that's all it is.
Rory
I'm nosy.
Julian
She just made up a excuse, like, you know, whatever bullshit.
Rory
Just basically, he's still sitting here, like, should I pursue? So what did she say? Like, oh, he just text me, bro. He just said hi. No, but I don't think we should see each other anymore.
Julian
No. Should I pursue a meaning? Like, should I continue to hit up, like, yo, what's going on?
Rory
I agree.
Julian
Can we. Can we hang out? Can we talk? Yeah.
E
It sounds like the homie dumped her, the other guy. And she's always held that door open, saying, one day, maybe this will still work out. She never let go of her former situation. Her former Relationship. So now that the guy is even texting her, she's like, we're back on Peach.
Julian
Do y'all. Do y'all need closure in relationships?
E
Oh, you're asking me specific? Oh.
Julian
Julian, nobody in here thinks you need closure. Yeah.
Rory
Nah, you just need an app.
Julian
You just need an app. You just need wi fi.
E
Wi fi.
Rory
Yes.
Julian
You just need 5G and you back in the game a little bit.
Rory
Tequila. I used to think I needed closure. I used to be big on, like, I need some type of closure in this point in my life. Absolutely not. Yeah, I was very big on what I thought closure was for a while. And I. That has shifted.
E
This doesn't matter at all.
Rory
Probably one of the biggest shifts that's happened in my life as of recent is I just don't. I don't need it.
Julian
It's because you're a dad now.
Damaris
Yeah.
Julian
Those are few. Is. Everybody be quiet. I'm going to sleep.
Rory
I feel like closing my eyes.
Julian
Just closing your eyes is all you need.
Damaris
I feel like closure depends on the person who. It depends on the end of the relationship. So if you. If you suddenly.
Julian
The only person that usually needs closure is the one that up the relationship. If you were the one that was cheating. If you were the one that was cheating and got caught cheating, like, you the one that wants closure. If the other part, like, your part.
Damaris
But that's not real close.
Rory
A lot of people that have been cheated on need closure of, like, they need to know why. Like, we need to close this. I need to understand why the cheating happened.
Julian
I need to understand why. Why you cheated on me.
Rory
That's a thing with people.
Julian
Come on, man. Grow some balls.
Rory
What if she has a vagina?
Julian
Grow a.
Rory
That's why you were cheating. She had no clit.
Julian
Dude, you got no clit. I'm out.
E
Imagine finding that out.
Damaris
Why am I here?
Julian
Yo, you ain't gotta. I'm out of here, man.
Damaris
Peach, don't piss me off.
Rory
He's got a great question. What is a clit? Exactly?
Julian
What is a clit? What do you mean?
Rory
I know the function of it, but it's tough to find. Don't get me wrong, but I know the function.
Julian
No, it's not. A clit is not tough to find. Like, physically, it's in the same spot.
Rory
What does it. I know throughout the vagina. Like, what? Everything has a function.
Julian
So you want to know the functionality of the clitoris?
Rory
Yeah. Is it just. Is it just for pleasure?
Julian
The clitoris is a female sexual organ. It's a female sexual organ. Sexual Organ that has a complex network of nerves and erectile tissue both inside and outside the body.
E
Oh, it's just a clump of nerves.
Rory
The clit is essentially the aliens for giving women clits because all it does is just make sex good.
Julian
The clit is essentially the helmet is. Our helmet. You know how Helmet.
Rory
Yeah.
Julian
Solar clit is.
Rory
But our orgasms are for a purpose of keeping the population going.
Julian
Yeah. We can't keep this population going without.
Rory
They just put a rose on theirs.
Julian
Without the vulva and the clitoris.
E
It does look like a folded dick. That was, like, tucked in type of porn you be watching, I'm saying, according to this graphic. Am I wrong?
Rory
Thank you, pj.
E
Well, because I say graphic now, people think I'm looking at a woman's clip, but it's a chart of a clip.
Rory
It's just how your tone and how you said graphic was funny. I don't know why.
E
Graphic. Yeah, I do like that they call this the clitoral hood. Can you get your hood circumcised? Can women get their hood cirqued?
Julian
I just. The clitoris is essentially. It looks exactly like the helmet or the tip of a penis. It does. And it's probably.
E
Thank you.
Julian
Because that's exactly what it is. Sometimes it's covered. Sometimes the skin covering it. Sometimes it's just out.
E
Yeah.
Julian
Sometimes it's right there. You just see it as soon as it. Okay. Look like a moose knuckle.
Rory
Can you imagine, like, what type of world we live in if sex didn't feel good?
Julian
You've had.
E
Elaborate, Rory.
Julian
Feel good.
Rory
Yes, of course. Okay, but.
Julian
So we live in a world where sex doesn't feel good to some people.
Rory
Well, we have an animal instinct to. To breed. But, like, it's the same theory that. Thank God babies are cute, because there'd probably be a lot of people that would get rid of babies if they weren't so cute. I think if sex didn't feel good, it'd be to be a completely different planet.
Damaris
Well, cats don't enjoy sex. Cats.
E
Cats don't enjoy life.
Rory
Cats don't enjoy being around other cats. How could they?
Damaris
Yeah, but it. It's painful to them. That's why they sound like that. You ever heard cat? Cats?
Rory
Can't say I have.
Damaris
Really?
Julian
Where.
Rory
Where would I stumble upon, like, hearing it?
Damaris
You can be in your house and, like, hear it. It's very loud.
Julian
Never heard stray cats.
Damaris
That's what it sounds like.
Rory
I thought they were fighting. No, I've definitely heard cats fight. I thought they were Just scrap.
Julian
No, they were.
Damaris
They were. It's very. It's very painful for them.
Rory
Wait, I always thought they were just scrapping.
Julian
No, because the male. Come get this cat ass.
Damaris
The male cat has barbs on his penis, so when he goes to put it in it and pull it, it hurts. The female, it hurts a lot.
Rory
Oh, and their. Their tongues are so. Even the oral side with cats.
E
Yeah, they definitely lick.
Rory
They have, like, sandpaper tongues.
E
Roy, you ever. You're dressed as a duck. You ever seen a duck's dick?
Rory
No, Julian, where would I have seen a duck stick?
E
Well, you do.
Julian
You do history stuff in Ohio.
Rory
I do. That's history stuff.
Julian
It's.
E
It's. You know, it's.
Rory
It's probably eating a duck stick.
E
Duck sticks are corkscrews. They're like super long and they look like corkscrews.
Rory
I didn't know. I didn't know ducks were packing like that.
E
Yeah, they got. They're strapped. Look at that thing.
Damaris
Julian, can we look at that? We have another voicemail.
E
It's a corkscrew.
Damaris
Do we have another voice?
Rory
I was trying to get at the. Look at the beauty of our ecosystem in the world. We've been created to enjoy sex, to keep the population going. It would be really weird if sex was. Was not good. I don't know if we'd all be here.
Julian
Mal.
Rory
I'm trying to get off the subject.
E
Mal, look at this.
Julian
I don't want to look at it. Julie.
E
Look at that.
Julian
Leave me alone.
E
Looks like a Cheeto. The thing is huge. It does have big feet, though. So that checks out.
Julian
It's a third rudder that looked like a wine.
Rory
Why didn't they add that to my costume?
Julian
Is that a wine opener? Look at that thing.
E
Come on.
Julian
You don't have that stand up.
Rory
They didn't add it to my costume. They gave me the hat, but didn't even give me the proper equipment.
Julian
Send them. Send it back. Get some pieces.
E
You know how much Rory loves wine. He would. He would die for one of these.
Rory
I could open a bottle with my dick.
Julian
Send that costume back, man. That ain't no death.
Rory
Imagine setting the mood with a girl if your dick could open a wine bottle.
E
Spin on it.
Julian
You want cabernet?
Rory
Where did you stumble upon a duck's dick?
Julian
He just Googled it.
Rory
No, no, but to even know that.
E
Yeah, this is. This is unfortunately something I knew ahead of time. I just. I listened to a lot of weird things and I.
Julian
No shitting me.
E
Yeah. I always retain the weirdest Information. This being one of them. Birds in general, most flying mammals have weird dicks.
Julian
Yo, did y'all see that? What's the name? Bird? Albatis. Albert Albatus.
Damaris
Albatross.
E
Albatross.
Julian
Albatross.
Rory
Alcatraz.
Julian
Yeah, I know, bro. Aliens are real. I don't. We can't even. This bird can fly and stay in the air for 13 months without landing. Did y'all know that?
Rory
No.
Julian
Just by floating, like, through the wind. They sleep while they're in the air.
Rory
What if it's not wind?
E
It looks like it's built for.
Damaris
Oh, it's like me on a train.
Julian
No, this is different. This is different. 13 months in the air. That has to be an alien. Like, what are we talking about?
Damaris
They're really big, aren't they?
E
Yeah.
Rory
Why would you stay in the air for that long?
Damaris
Yeah, they have a large wingspan.
Julian
Thirteen months straight is crazy.
E
Imagine walking for a year straight, like, just doing anything for that extended amount of time.
Julian
13 months. Y'all can't tell me aliens are not real, man.
Rory
So you think the birds are the aliens?
Julian
A form of them. Yeah.
Rory
Form a dinosaur.
Julian
I think those are, like, the. The birds that, like, when UFOs come into our atmosphere, like, I think sometimes they just drop off and leave behind once they land somewhere.
Rory
Like, white people.
Julian
Like, I think certain animals are definitely.
Damaris
Like, white people in gonorrhea. Well, yeah, that didn't y'all give us gonorrhea.
Julian
I would.
Damaris
Like white people didn't white people give.
Rory
Like, came up with, like, the bacteria?
Damaris
Yeah, like, y'all brought the bacteria over here, man.
Rory
You gotta talk to.
Julian
From the Caucus Mountains. That sound like something that will be up in the Caucus Mountains.
Rory
Yakub about that one.
Julian
Yeah.
Rory
If you made us, then you also made gonorrhea.
Julian
Yeah.
Rory
So that's a black people thing.
Julian
Do we have another voice?
Rory
Striking that steel into gonorrhea is hilarious.
E
Yes, we, we. Yes.
Julian
The sword was dirty.
Rory
We're the only podcast that constantly brings up.
Julian
No, you're the only person that cool.
Damaris
Because I believe it started Anunnaki.
Rory
Say again?
Damaris
The Anunnaki.
Rory
Yeah, the original people. Yeah, listen, I'll. Was she here for the episode we scrapped?
E
Oh, God.
Rory
We got heavy into that.
Damaris
Yeah, I was. I was here. I think I was the person who actually. To scrap it.
Rory
Hard drives. They're there.
Julian
Burn it for the Feds come For the feds come. Burn it.
Rory
See, you guys are part of. You're part of the problem. That's why you're like, the Feds. You were trying to silence me.
Julian
I wasn't. I just know you.
E
It was Damaris. Damaris said that. Damaris said, scrap the episode.
Rory
Y'all didn't have that. That energy for 19 keys when he was here. Because him and I believe the same.
Damaris
Thing I did, y'all. That went against me.
Julian
Yeah.
Damaris
I'll be saying scrap everything. Throw it out.
E
Did we cut any of that 19 keys?
Damaris
Yes, we did.
E
We did. We cut quite a bit now that I remember.
Julian
Yeah, but y'all trying to silence the keys. That's the problem.
E
We just cut out half an episode earlier this week.
Julian
It's the problem now.
Rory
Another great tourist.
E
We cut out so much.
G
All right, what's up, everybody? Sub Gang shouts out everybody, but especially Baby D. You definitely be the most valid on the podcast.
Rory
He's trying to be giving you a.
G
Hard time, but I think we all know that you're the most valid. But anyway, straight to the point.
Rory
Said violent.
G
Yeah, I'm in a situation. I'm from the dmv. I moved to LA pretty recently, a little more than a year ago. And, you know, I moved here single. And I have. I've been having fun in the streets. You know, my. I'm a bartender, so my occupation gives way to interact with a lot of women. But there's this one girl back home who I met a little bit before I left, and we kind of hit it off. We never hung out or anything. We just see each other around, but we hit it off. So I went back to visit last week and I asked if she wanted to go out for dinner, and we did, and it was great. But the only thing is, I'm back in LA now, and I kind of don't know what I should do. I want to see her again. I know she wants to see me again, but I don't know how I should go about this. Like, should I fly her out? Should I just wait till she's in town? Do I go back? I'm not sure. So let me know.
Julian
What.
G
What should I do?
E
He left a second voicemail. We're not gonna listen to the whole thing. He basically just added that they've been texting and DMing since the move, and the date that they did go on went very well.
Julian
Okay, that's it.
E
How much the flight cost from LA to dc? I don't know.
Rory
And it's around holiday time.
Julian
She flying Delta One.
E
Well, wouldn't he be coming this way for the holidays? You would assume he'd come back home. No.
Rory
Yeah, I'd Wait this one out. I don't know if being. That's spitting off the first date and then fly her out, I think is a little. It's a little extra baller.
Julian
First date and then fly out. Be flying. Flying them out first date.
Rory
I'm not disrespecting bartenders whatsoever. I don't want to come across as that guy, but that's a lot of money to just fly a woman from LA to DC because you liked her on the first date. Maybe he's great with his finances. I don't know.
Julian
Yeah. What is she talking crazy in the text, though?
Rory
I mean, let's FaceTime and I'll beat.
Damaris
Off that the flight is. If he gets her, like, a business class flight, it's probably like, what, 500.
Julian
$600 from LA to DC well, I don't.
Damaris
I didn't mean business class. I meant like premium economy.
Rory
I mean, you probably could find 1100 minimum premium economy.
Damaris
It's like 607.
Julian
Yeah, probably 6.
E
7.
Rory
Yeah.
Julian
Yeah.
Rory
But then. All right, then you have.
Julian
Depending on when you book. Depending on when you book. Like, if it's Monday and you talking about coming out here Thursday.
Damaris
Yeah, that's.
Julian
No, no, you're gonna play it. You're gonna pay a pretty. You're gonna. You're gonna pay. You're gonna pay for that ass.
Rory
And then also, like, if you're not like a dirt bag, when you fly her out, you have to, like, like, bring her around the city and, like, do a lot of activities. And that whole thing starts to add up, too. She didn't want to just get on your couch for a week, especially.
Julian
Remember when it was just that simple?
Rory
Lauren tried to tell us it could all be so simple. Oh, but you'd rather make it hard. That's what she was talking about. She wasn't talking about a breakup. Talking about, yo, come through.
Julian
Yeah, just pull up all that other.
E
A week is a long time. Especially if she gets there and you be on the first night. From experience, not worth it.
Damaris
Yeah, but, Julian, some people actually enjoy.
Julian
Yeah, I must say, some people really like.
Damaris
They have to.
Julian
Women, like.
E
I love women.
Julian
Do you? Yeah, I think you love sex. I don't know if you, like, love women.
Rory
I love women and their personalities. But a week with any human being, it's too long.
E
I'm a big personality guy.
Rory
I'm a big personality.
Julian
He's not mall.
E
Neither are you. So we're not gonna.
Julian
What? Yes, I. I'm more of a personality guy than you. How you're on dating apps.
E
What does that have to do with anything? That's always. That's the same comeback every time people meet.
Rory
That way, they could be into personality.
E
You should try them because clearly, you know.
Julian
Clearly what?
E
This hasn't worked out thus far. Whatever your method is.
Rory
Matter of fact, a lot of people like dating apps because it could be personality rather than just meeting someone out. That's just trying to.
E
Yeah, that's right.
Rory
Oh, no, you're not a personality guy. I'm just defending dating apps. Yeah, I'm not on your side on this. I want to make that clear. I'm just on the side. I understand dating apps. Apps are not just.
Julian
And has it worked out for you?
E
Yeah, a few times. I've had my last two real relationships were off dating apps.
Damaris
Your last? Okay, when. When was that?
E
My last, like, serious one was, like, 2012. No, when I first was, like, 2018. It would last for, like, two years.
Rory
Oh, when you went to Michael Jackson's trial.
E
No, this is after 2018.
Julian
This is after Mike died in, like. Oh, no.
E
9 Michael Jackson trial. That was. What was that? 2012. 2012.
Julian
No, it wasn't.
Rory
Died in 2009.
Damaris
Yeah, for the guy who killed him, not his trial.
Rory
Oh, wait, I thought he went to, like, a Michael Jackson.
E
Well, I went. I went to the one where the. Yeah, they were suing the doctor the family was representing. The Jackson family.
Rory
Gotcha. Okay.
E
Yeah, that was, like, 2012.
Rory
Tamaris, who do you think is more of a personality person when it comes to.
Damaris
What, seven out of whom?
Rory
Julian and Mo. Oh, people argue.
Damaris
Oh, Mall.
Rory
What?
Damaris
I'm not gonna lie.
Rory
I agree, too.
E
Wow.
Damaris
I'm sorry.
E
All right, let's go back to the Gaslight poll, because I came in last in that one. So what's gas? You guys are the lighters over here. Damaris literally has a gas problem going on in her apartment. That's a sign.
Damaris
Why are you so mad at us? Because we.
E
I'm not mad at us.
Rory
Stop projecting.
E
News, news, duck dicks.
Damaris
Just take a breather. Happy Halloween.
Rory
Even though we a lot of. For never being in serious relationships, I do think his situationships. He actually likes the woman.
Damaris
Yeah, I was. I think I was a great guy.
Rory
Which is okay, I think. I think you're honest with the women that you meet on the apps. I don't think you do, dirtbag whatsoever. I think you're honest in saying. I'm just trying to and move on.
E
I also have. I haven't expressed or been open with my current dating Stuff. I've kept it quiet for a reason, so I'll just say that you sound.
Julian
Like somebody I know.
E
You.
Damaris
I don't know me for sure.
Julian
No, you.
E
I'm not like this 300 day adventure.
Julian
She ain't either.
E
Yeah.
Damaris
Yes.
Julian
What number is it? Where we at?
Damaris
I have not stopped counting.
Julian
I bet you did.
Damaris
I'm depressed. I stopped coming.
Julian
I bet you did.
Damaris
May 14, baby. May 14.
Rory
1078 days I've been going through something.
Damaris
May 14.
Julian
What was this gentleman asking us for?
E
Does he. Does he fly her out or does he. What does he do?
Rory
Man, you're a bartender.
Damaris
Hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on. 170 days, this bar, you're a bartender. What, what that mean?
Rory
You have access to meet a lot of people.
E
He also just said he was getting asked for being a bartender. Like, just do that.
Rory
I was giving a compliment.
Damaris
No, but I'm talking about what you said earlier when you were like. Like you're a bartender. Like, I'm not saying how much bartenders make, but you shouldn't be spending. That's an expensive trip.
Julian
Yeah, that's an expensive trip if you ain't a bartender.
Damaris
Anybody.
Rory
I gave. I said I'm not on bartenders or what they make financially. I'm not. I'm not that guy.
Damaris
Oh, okay.
Rory
But yeah, that's a lot of money around the holidays to have some chick that you just had one cool date with to spend 700 minimum to get her there. And like we said, for a whole week. He sounds like a good guy. He's gonna have to take her to every site that she's ever needs to see. In D.C. they're gonna have to go to dinner. That's. That's gonna be minimum. Minimum 2003, 500.
Damaris
What?
Rory
30?
Damaris
Because you got to do 3500 is crazy.
E
You gotta do ragged it dinners.
Damaris
You got to do dinner every single night. If she's there for five days, he got to do dinner every single night.
Rory
Can he cook? Because if not.
E
Yeah, yeah, it's true.
Rory
If you can't impress her with the cook game.
Julian
Yeah, Uber eats.
Damaris
Yeah, like that's not true. Is going. Okay, it's not cheap. But it's not 200 a night.
Rory
Like, it's 300 for Uber from the airport. Are you guys, like, not paying attention to how much shit costs these days?
Julian
No, it's not. Whatever. In D.C. it's not.
E
If he flies her out to LA.
Julian
Yeah, but from the airport to where is 300?
E
Well, he would probably Pick her up.
Rory
From the airport, LAX to anywhere in Los Angeles is 100 absolute minimum.
Damaris
No, it's not. We go to our hotel.
Julian
It depends on what time of day.
Rory
16. All right. See, I can't even have this conversation.
Damaris
I'm sorry. 60 ride in big black trucks. So they cost a lot of money.
Julian
Even if you get a Comfort. Just a regular. Or Excel, it's like 80 something.
Damaris
If you get a regular Uber, just a car.
Rory
120. No way.
Julian
Let me see right now. Let me go on Uber. Uber.
E
Well, you can't.
Damaris
Yes, you can.
Rory
You're pretty far from this location, so you can still.
Julian
You think I can't call somebody Uber in LA right now?
Rory
No, I think you can. It's just gonna say you're very far from this location.
Julian
Yeah. Okay.
Rory
Is this.
Julian
We're free. Send the car.
Rory
That shit is definitely gonna be more. And what time is it over there? It actually doesn't even matter. Jfk. It's that crazy.
Julian
I'll send it to. I'll send it to West Hollywood. Yep.
Damaris
And he don't live in West Hollywood, by the way.
E
Do Pink Dot.
Julian
Yeah. Right now, comfort is. Yeah.
Damaris
$60 a reg in a regular Uber X is 61.61. Like I said.
Julian
Yeah.
E
I mean, we're splitting pennies here. That's still a very financially expensive trip.
Rory
It ain't 3, 500 total after restaurants, Ubers, every. Yes, that's. You're spending that much money on a girl you like? Yes, you are.
Damaris
Okay.
Rory
You think she's going to eat Hoshi every night in DC?
Damaris
No. Let's just agree to disagree. I don't see 3, 500. I can see you saying you spent 700 on the flight.
Rory
Do I have it wrong? He wants to fly her to la.
E
To la. It's worse. That's what I'm saying.
Damaris
I thought he was saying it's worse.
E
I'm saying it's $4,000. Yeah.
Rory
Oh, I was saying that for DC.
Damaris
I thought he was flying to DC.
Julian
I thought.
E
No, he's saying, do I fly her out to me. She's in dc. Does she go to la?
Rory
Oh, yeah.
E
So I'm saying if she goes to LA is cook, bro. You're like draining your pockets.
Julian
You're spending more. You're spending way more money for sure.
E
And to Roy's. Feel like la. You got to be. You're driving her everywhere. You gotta like. That's just.
Damaris
You gotta spend time with her.
E
Yeah, a lot of like.
Rory
And you have to think, too. If she's There for the week. You're a bartender, you gotta take it a highlight room.
E
You gotta call Odyssey, Night Train.
Rory
How much money. How much money are you losing as a bartender? Because, like, if you working during the day, I think a woman would, like, understand that. But if you leave her every night to go work.
E
True.
Rory
She's not gonna like that. That's gonna be odd. And you guys can't do dinner. You can't do any of that shit. So clearly he's gonna have to take a week off of work.
Damaris
Bartender usually, yeah.
Julian
But we don't know. Homie Pockets, though.
Damaris
Yeah, like, that's. If he. He didn't call in and say, hey, I don't know if I could have.
Rory
More money than me, I'm just saying how much it would cost.
E
But okay, if you change shifts and say he usually works Thursday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday. All right, fine. Take two of those shifts off. You're gonna pick up the Monday, Tuesday, where you're probably not making nearly as much money. Regardless, he's gonna lose money by either moving shifts or not working.
Rory
I'm saying the hours, too.
Julian
Like it, man. Fly out.
Rory
Thank you.
Damaris
Thank you, Ma. If you got. If you can afford to do it. And when I say afford to do, I mean, like, comfortably do it, which I assume you can, because you call in and ask us, and you like her, you want to spend time with her, do it. You think she worth it? Do it.
Julian
Yeah, fly out.
Rory
A week after one day, though, is.
Damaris
A week is too long. I would say a weekend.
E
For a weekend, she not gonna fly to la.
Rory
Four days, three nights. Three nights, I think is.
Damaris
Three nights is cool.
Rory
Three nights is proper. Because that first one, you're gonna have fun. Second one, you get in your rhythm, Even like, if you nut it too quick the first night.
Julian
I never spent a week with a girl.
Damaris
Yes, but not after the first date. After the first date is wild.
Julian
I don't think I've ever spent a week with a girl after a week. A week after the first date.
Rory
Oh, okay.
Damaris
It's different if it's a week and we live in the same city.
Rory
A week.
Damaris
And you coming here to visit me for a week, that's a long.
Julian
If we live in the same city, like, you got your place, I got mine, we don't have to be up under each other. But if you flying out to stay with me and for a week, you're in my space, my house, whatever. Like, after one date, that could be you gonna find out. You gonna find out who this person is. So he might have a plan. Like, I want her to spend time. I wanna watch how her. You know, how she moves around the house, like, what she does, like, how she, you know, carries herself. What's her house swag like, is she clean? Is she messy? Is she.
Damaris
But you never really gonna know something like that from. If somebody's not in their own space.
Julian
You got what? Yes, you can. If you have a girl come stay with you, you'll find out exactly how she conduct herself in the house. You can see it. I'm like, all right, I get it. She.
Damaris
No, but there's some girls.
Julian
Those plate shit's still in the sink. Okay, I get it.
Damaris
No, but you some girl, but on the opposite end, some girls will be super clean at your house, and they won't be the same at their house. That's what I'm saying. It don't really. You don't really see it.
Rory
You ain't got a check out for a week, though. Are you giving her, like, the. When she first gets to the house of, like, house rules and, like.
Julian
No, I'm not giving her no house rules.
E
Take your shoes off.
Julian
She gonna walk in to see a clean space. See, is in order. And just let me see what she do from here.
E
The true test of a great guest, See, how I live, relationship or not, is if, even if you're just letting a friend stay at your place, is whatever condition the place is when you walk in, that's how it should be. That's how it should stay when you're there or.
Julian
Now, granted, we know you in here, so it's gonna be. That's just, you know, blankets, whatever, like, you know, suitcase, clothes. I get that. But you can still do that and still have organized and together.
Rory
And if I'm doing a week, I'm preparing. We're like, all right, you can have this area, put your makeup and all that here. Don't. Don't make it weird. You could poop here. You don't have to run to Starbucks and try to hide for a week.
Damaris
You gotta say that girls really run this. I'm not running nowhere. If I got a. Out of.
Julian
You know, when girls. Not only that, they disappear for, like, 30 minutes. And you. You. You look up, you on your phone, you watching the game. You don't even realize she's not even in the living room with you no more. No more. She in the. She in the back, taking the.
Rory
I've had a girl call me weird because I. In my days of having the fly out or whatever. When they would stay for a few days, I would break the ice right away. Like, if you need to poop, just do it. Like, there's wet wipes. You don't need to, like, do this whole thing.
E
Rory said, leave the door open.
Rory
I don't think, like, that's odd.
Julian
I still walk in the bathroom. Soon as she finished, and just go, yeah, he wanted those for sure.
Damaris
He wanted.
Rory
I mean, Ice Spice. It's a redhead thing.
Julian
I'll get it. Understand?
E
Put the Ziploc in the toilet.
Rory
What?
Julian
