Summer's here and with the kids home and off to camp, it's easy for moms to get lost in the shuffle on good moms Bad choices. We're making space to center ourselves with joy, rest and pleasure. Take the kids to camp. You know what, it was expensive, but I was also thinking, you have my kid. This is kind of priceless.

Advertiser
The volume.
Co-Host
And we're back.
Advertiser
We are back.
Co-Host
Yeah. Like we always are.
Advertiser
I feel like we have.
Co-Host
We're knock on wood. But yes, blessed to be back.
Advertiser
Always midweek.
Co-Host
We never do like a midweek check in. We always do like top of the week and then end of the week.
Advertiser
That's true.
Co-Host
Yeah. Because usually we're running around at this point.
Advertiser
Yeah.
Co-Host
You know, trying to figure out what to say.
Advertiser
To athletes or what to say to each other. Like, what am I gonna say to Rory today? I don't know. I don't know how I'm feeling today, man. It is what it is.
Co-Host
I'm just thinking about waking up at 6am to drive in Jersey traffic to drop tomorrow off at daycare. That's mind. Is that usually midweek? Yeah, but something a little different, I guess this week. But it won't. I don't know. How about that? I feel like we need more transparency in podcasting. Don't know. Ball can be tough sometimes because athletes are mid season out of season. They have obligations. Zoom is cool, but I don't know if it's the best way to do so. If an athlete isn't free, we'll find a friend or we'll kick it or we'll find someone random on the block that Maul grew up with.
Advertiser
Yeah. Let's use the middle of the week to just check in on people.
Co-Host
Yeah.
Advertiser
See how people are doing.
Co-Host
Like, it's just a midweek check in.
Advertiser
Whoever we want to talk to, whoever we think about.
Co-Host
Sometimes it won't be anybody.
Advertiser
Yeah.
Co-Host
But it'll be a midweek check in and we will find random strangers. Like, you know, one day we're going to interview Josh. You keep. You keep getting mad at me when I try to interview Josh, but Because.
Advertiser
You want to interview Josh for, like, weird reasons.
Co-Host
That's why I want to get to know him.
Advertiser
No, you think he's a CIA agent. Like, that's why.
Co-Host
Possibly.
Advertiser
Yeah.
Co-Host
Because we had another amazing person from Volume come in today and they just. They hit it off. They. They went to high school together.
Advertiser
Yeah.
Co-Host
I was like, this seems like some CIA.
Advertiser
Yeah, yeah, no, the CIA. They'll show you sooner later. Like they're watching.
Co-Host
These are two agents.
Advertiser
Yeah, they were absolutely. Yeah.
Co-Host
Definitely worked in the same zone.
Advertiser
Yeah.
Co-Host
And the spot they from isn't that big. Like, you don't run into a bunch.
Jermaine Dupree
Of people from that spot.
Advertiser
Yeah. Yeah.
Co-Host
And then my parents went to school there too. So then my antennas went up.
Advertiser
Okay.
Co-Host
Like, remember that was the first thing I said to Josh. I was like, yeah, My parents went to school. My mom and my dad went to school there.
Advertiser
Yeah.
Co-Host
So.
Advertiser
Yeah.
Co-Host
And then, you know, volume. Sending another person from over there.
Advertiser
Agents.
Co-Host
Yeah, I know. I see what's going on. Yeah. So, you know, that's so far, my midweek check in.
Advertiser
Yeah.
Co-Host
I love the volume. But, you know, they may have some agents.
Advertiser
Well, I mean, this week we do have some friends in Town. Well, one of our. One of our good friends is in town and he said he's going to drop by today. So. Yeah, we're sitting kicking with him, man.
Co-Host
So tomorrow we are recording this on a Wednesday. You're hearing this on Thursday. So today, I suppose I was invited to the Clips listening party. I cannot go. But now I'm scared they're gonna think that like, I didn't go because I was scared.
Advertiser
Okay.
Co-Host
So like help me deal with this conundrum. I'm in. I can't go because Kia has a going away party with one of her friends and I already agreed weeks ago.
Advertiser
Yeah.
Co-Host
But then I got that, that Apple invite and I was like, man, America, watch yourself. She's too.
Advertiser
Turn the TV off. Leave some chicken nuggets out.
Co-Host
Yeah, she'll be fine, right?
Advertiser
Yeah, yeah, I think so. Just close everything off, stairs and everything. Make sure everything's closed off, you know, I mean, she can't get it too much.
Co-Host
Yeah. Or what. What that one guy do? He just left his kids at the McDonald's playground.
Advertiser
Yeah, well, he went on the job interview. Yeah. Now you don't want to do that. Definitely don't want. Not a public place.
Co-Host
So be it. So be it.
Advertiser
Yeah, but home.
Jermaine Dupree
No, no, no, no, Not.
Advertiser
Not when it comes to the kids.
Co-Host
Nah. But that's.
Advertiser
You can't so be it to the kids. That's not what they was talking. Leave your kids at McDonald's. But no, just, you know, just hit pushing like, yo, listen, bro, want to come got the daughter?
Co-Host
Like, no, no, I'm not.
Jermaine Dupree
I'm.
Co-Host
They're busy with other. I wouldn't even do that. And they probably wouldn't even notice that I was there or not. But like my own ego and psyche was like, hope they know. Like I. I wanted to go.
Advertiser
Yeah.
Co-Host
Like, I wasn't. I'm not on the O team.
Advertiser
Just give me the album, man. I just want to hear the music, man. I don't need to go to listening event.
Co-Host
It did leak the whole album yesterday. Yeah. What? I have not seen like MP3 files leak in quite some time.
Advertiser
Wow.
Co-Host
I can't. Can you guys remember last time a album leaked like that?
Advertiser
No.
Co-Host
We've gotten like weird leaks. Like even clb at a bunch of random joints, but they weren't done. The final shit leaked.
Advertiser
Wow.
Co-Host
Yeah. Which I have not seen. And I thought to myself, is that maybe a cool rollout tactic?
Advertiser
No, I don't think the Clips used.
Co-Host
That as a rule. I feel like they've been doing A lot of old school, like marketing rollout tactics that we have not seen in a while. And it was only up for a little bit. Like it. I tried to go find it and it was gone by that time, but people had it. I thought that was kind of like a cool two days out and you're doing the blog era style rollout.
Advertiser
Like, I don't think the clips, I don't think they are into those games.
Co-Host
Anymore, but I don't think they really care about. Well, of course they care about sales. It's their job. But like, I don't think their end all be all is like, we need to sell this amount, you know? Yeah, they're independent slash Roc Nation. Like, it's going to do what it's.
Advertiser
Going to do, right?
Co-Host
Yeah, leak it. And first of all, I don't think that'll take away from any album sales.
Advertiser
No, the clips are already, you know, they are who they are. They have their audience. You know, they're always looking for ways to kind of tap in and, you know, reach new people. But I don't think that's their focus. I think they're. They know who they are. They know the people that support them, know what to expect, what people have heard, what I've heard so far. I like it. So, I mean, if a leak happened online, I mean, I'm glad I missed it because I probably wouldn't have clicked it anyway. I'll just wait for when the album comes out. But I don't think they're using that as a. As a rollout.
Co-Host
Can we, while we're here, can we pull up the greatest moment in listening party history? Can you type in Kanye West Pusha T album listening? Remember when Kanye was off the Goose and started freestyling Goose right now? Like, oh, yeah, he started hosting. I was there. I saw that in person. That was like, off gans, before we turn that up, give us some bar. I mean, you see how he tied the bar in together.
Advertiser
But yeah, Goose and Loose. That was so tough.
Co-Host
It's funny. And then when the Push album dropped, I tried to like, go find that verse. I couldn't.
Advertiser
No.
Co-Host
Did genius put that one up?
Advertiser
I hope not. But I mean, I mean, now they have an album coming out and Kanye is nowhere near this music.
Co-Host
I think they'll be okay.
Advertiser
Oh, no, they'll. They'll be fine. It's just, you know, it's just funny to see how things happen.
Co-Host
Do you think Push, like in this very moment was like two more albums? I think I'm Cool.
Advertiser
Yeah, I think this was it.
Co-Host
Two more.
Advertiser
Yeah, yeah, I'm cool. Yeah.
Co-Host
If I find a loophole.
Advertiser
Yeah, yeah, we'll figure something out to get away from this shit because it's just too much going on right now. But I am looking forward to the album, the Clips album. I'm glad I didn't hear. No, no leak music. I don't want to. I don't want to hear it like that.
Co-Host
Yeah, no, I want to hear it like, actually on Thursday at midnight. But where's. Where's the first place you listen to Eclipse album now? It's gotta be the car.
Advertiser
No, I'll be home now.
Co-Host
Well, you could, I don't know, maybe order a Uber, make sure it's a woman driver, ask for the auxiliary cord. Just.
Advertiser
I'll be in the house and just hit the west highway in the crib on the couch. Yeah, yeah.
Co-Host
You gotta, like, take some Pyrexes out or do something.
Advertiser
Nah, because now I got. I got an induction. It don't even hit the same. I can't even put the Pyrex on the induction stove.
Co-Host
Oh. Yeah.
Advertiser
It's just. It's weird now, man. They trying to get us away from that lifestyle, you know?
Co-Host
Yeah. When I got my new spot, however many years ago, that was like a main thing that I was looking for. At each spot, I. I had the electric stove. I was like, I hate. I need a. I need fire.
Advertiser
Yeah, definitely.
Co-Host
It hits different, but, I mean, yeah, I got to make some type of food. You could whip up a vegan dish. You could. At least you could use the measuring cups.
Advertiser
Well, I could use the measuring cups, Sugar. Yeah.
Co-Host
Just get you back in that zone.
Advertiser
I don't want to be back in that. I just want to hear it. I don't. I don't need to be there. I just want to hear the music. I don't need to be in that zone. Just let me hear some good music. That's it.
Co-Host
Do you have a prediction? We've gotten the Travis Scott shots. Ran into the fucking ground. Do we. Do we think there's going to be any more?
Advertiser
I'm hearing Travis. I'm hearing rumors that he may put out a song Thursday night as well to kind of mess with the sales.
Co-Host
Well, the Jack boys just put out. Is that record out with the video or is that just one of those trailer videos?
Advertiser
No, I think it's out.
Co-Host
Okay, so he's going to put out another record. I can see that.
Advertiser
Then I don't know. Again, this is the clips. They don't care about that type of. They're not playing the same game a lot of these other artists are playing. Like, they don't really care about that. Do they want to, you know, the project to do well and be receiving well? Absolutely. But they're not playing these. These other games.
Jermaine Dupree
And.
Co-Host
And to your point from years ago of when people are dropping on the same days, like, let's say there's the. The Iceman episode two on Friday. Yeah, I'm gonna watch that. And then I'm gonna. I'm gonna listen to clips I'm going to. Both will be consumed.
Advertiser
Exactly.
Co-Host
And I'll probably click the Travis song. It won't be my first thing, but if I get around to it, just to hear. I listen on Saturday, though.
Advertiser
Yeah. Just to hear what's going on.
Co-Host
Like, I'm still going to listen to.
Advertiser
Yeah, it doesn't. That's why when people try to stay away from. And that's because they want that. You know, they need that. Want that. But somebody like the clips, I. I just don't think at this point in their career, professionally or personally in their lives, I don't think that they're chasing. They don't really care about that. They just want the music to be received amongst their fan base the same way all of their music has been received.
Co-Host
I do want you to listen on Thursday night, so Monday morning you can come in with a full rendition of the Birds Don't Sing John Legend Hook. Because that leaked on, like, one of those Paris fashion shows like, two years ago. Yeah, I play that on YouTube often. It has like the high Q version. That's the intro. They already. I'm not spilling anything. They said it in interviews. I kind of need the mall version of the Birds Don't Sing Hook.
Advertiser
And I, you know, I know people think I don't like John. I like John Legend. I'm just. I just think that it's a time and place for John Legend, that's all.
Co-Host
I would, as someone that agreed with you on that John Legend take. This is one of the better John Legend hooks I've heard in quite some time.
Advertiser
No, that's the one from the show. You know, that was. That song was incredible.
Co-Host
If you want to give us a little teaser now that the lyrics are the Birds Don't Sing.
Advertiser
Scream in pain. I'm cool.
Co-Host
Yeah, no, Birds don't sing.
Advertiser
I'm cool. I'm cool. I'll let John Leg. John have that.
Co-Host
Yeah, I let John give that one to him.
Advertiser
Yeah, let him have that. That's it. That's all you, John.
Co-Host
Well, I think our guest may be here. I don't know if there's anything more we should cover. If you guys have any questions. I don't know. Spam. Damaris has mentions. Not ours. Make it a her thing. But yes, we are aware that sometimes the zoom shit doesn't really work out with the athletes, even when we have a great one. Like, I love that Donovan McNabb conversation. I thought it was incredible.
Advertiser
Wish you would have been that.
Co-Host
If that would have been here, would have been even better. So, you know, making adjustments and keeping the fans updated as we go. So it'll just be a weekly check in. On Wednesdays, you'll get. You'll get an episode.
Advertiser
You'll never know who we're going to.
Co-Host
Be sitting with, but it may be with Mal's twin sister.
Advertiser
Yeah.
Co-Host
Never know who's going to sit on this fucking.
Advertiser
We have no idea what. Who will be here, but we will be here to check in with some of our friends. And today we have a definite. This is family here today. So let's get into it. New warrior mouth. All right, Rory, we are back. Today we are joined by, I think we like, three for three so far with LA people that say, yo, we gonna see you in New York when we was in LA for BET Weekend. Today we are joined by somebody that, you know. This is. This is family. This is a family affair. Today, one of my favorite people, Legend in every sense of the word, back once again, JD Jermaine Dupree. How you.
Jermaine Dupree
How you feeling, bro? I'm good. How you?
Advertiser
I mean, it's always good to see. Yeah, we give JD Some claps.
Co-Host
Yeah, I think.
Advertiser
I think Jermaine Dupree deserves a round of applause. You know, can't open your phone without seeing JD working. Cannot not see him in the studio. But how's everything going with the album? Magic City, the documentary, the album?
Jermaine Dupree
I mean, it's going. It's definitely a. I'm having, like, a very big creative explosion.
Advertiser
You like? You having fun, man?
Jermaine Dupree
Yeah, I am. It has actually turned into something that I didn't see coming. At first, like this. I wasn't like. I was like, okay, we're gonna do a soundtrack. And at first I was gonna pick the records from other people and just hit records. Then I was just like, that ain't really nothing new. Like, you know, I mean, so then I was like, let me do all the records. And I was like, damn, how that's gonna be? And then that Started turning into me doing all the records. And it just turned into basically a new Jermaine Dupree album inspired by the Magic City documentary.
Advertiser
JD for somebody like yourself, obviously, you know, it's a personal relationship we have, but I just, like, what. How do you still find motivation? Because you've accomplished what most people can only hope to accomplish. Like, at this point in your career and in your life, how do you continue to find just inspiration to do something you haven't done before?
Jermaine Dupree
That's it. You gotta find what you have. I mean, that's what I'm saying. It's crazy. Like, you know, like, when Christmas time come around, people like, I don't know what to get a person who got everything. I don't have everything. You know, I mean, like, go to the store. You know me saying that as a cop out. Yeah, go take your ass to the store and call me on FaceTime.
Advertiser
I'll be like, yo, I see this.
Jermaine Dupree
Do you got this? No, I don't get it. Yeah, I mean, like, that's. That's basically how life is. Like, if you sit back and start thinking you did it everything, then that's how you address it. I ain't did everything. And, like, this. This soundtrack or this record, the first record, the turnaround record. I never. I don't even. I don't even have a record with TI in my discography. I don't have a record with two chains in my discography, and I don't have a record with DRO in my discography for off top.
Advertiser
That's not what tr.
Jermaine Dupree
Nah.
Co-Host
Yeah, we talked about that at bt. That blew my mind.
Jermaine Dupree
I had no idea what I'm saying.
Co-Host
So I would have never guessed that.
Jermaine Dupree
Off top, it just. That's automatically something that's never happened before. So it's like, oh, if I start doing this, you know, I mean, I signed Rocco to, you know, to Def Jam, but I never made records on Rocco. So now I got Wreck. I got a record with rock on this record. So it's like a lot. All the records that I'm making, I never had. I don't. I never had a song with Travis Porter. Like, I'm making records with the artists that live in the city that we cool and we great friends and all of this, but I never had music with them.
Advertiser
See, that's basically because JD Was basically too busy making the biggest records with Mariah Carey and all that. Everybody else for the city to get some.
Jermaine Dupree
Everybody else was always busy doing what they was doing a lot of These artists, they don't need me. So I'm saying, like, I think, you know, Atlanta's a strong city. It's like, you ain't got to go to JD to get a hit. I mean, it's a bunch of other people in the city making hits. That's basically what it was. And it was just like, they doing what they doing. I'm doing what I'm doing, trying to break the artists. I got in my. In my. In my. In my little circle. So. But this is definitely, like, you know, I started it with Tip. And when people saying, t I do that, I think it laid everybody else say, okay, this is what we doing.
Advertiser
What can we expect from the Magic City documentary? Like, what can we expect? A lot of us, you know, I was still young, but I was able to experience Magic City with you. The first time I ever been to Magic City was with you. So I was able to experience that for. But for a lot of people that never experienced Magic City, what can they expect from this documentary?
Jermaine Dupree
Probably a lot more information than they actually even want, you know, I mean, not. Not. Not. Not from. Not. No, listen. Not from a.
Co-Host
Which network is this on?
Jermaine Dupree
Not from the dark side of it, though. I'm saying, like, information that you, as a customer, will never know unless you watch this documentary. Like. Like yesterday we did lip service, and Gigi, you know, Gigi's very much, you know, titties out in this documentary doing interviews like we are with titties out. Like, you know what I mean? Like. And, like. And the stuff that she's talking about, I was sitting there like, what? Yeah, yeah, that should be going on. Like, what happens downstairs with these girls in the locker room and how Magic picks the schedule and who goes on the stage. We don't never even be thinking about this.
Co-Host
We just see it, the whole business back there.
Jermaine Dupree
Right. It's a whole operation to what's going on downstairs in the strip club. And that's what I mean about information. You probably too much more information. You actually even know you want. You probably don't.
Co-Host
Yeah.
Advertiser
You know, never even thought about it.
Jermaine Dupree
But when you go back after you see this, you're gonna be like, it's a different respect.
Advertiser
Yeah.
Jermaine Dupree
You're gonna be looking at this like, oh, this is real business doing this. You know what I'm saying? So even me, like I said, being a part of it, this that they talking about, I can't tell you about it, because I don't. I don't go. I do. I'm a customer Right, Yeah. I mean, I drink, get dances. What's happening under that floor?
Co-Host
Yeah, it's a whole nother world without too many spoilers. What's one thing that you were like, holy, I had no idea.
Jermaine Dupree
That the girls pay attention to whoever the most on earner is. So if it's a girl in there that's earning a lot. Cause you evidently, you start knowing who's getting the money. They try to like attach themselves to that girl. So she goes on stage and she usually make 10,000 on the stage. They say when she put her name on the board, girls be waiting for her to put her name on the board. So they can put their name on board and try to be under her.
Advertiser
Okay.
Jermaine Dupree
Like, I didn't even. I would have never thought, like.
Advertiser
But that makes sense.
Jermaine Dupree
That's what's happening.
Co-Host
It's like the internship program.
Jermaine Dupree
Yeah, Yeah, I guess, pretty much. I mean, it's like fish. I see it like, like, you know how little fish be following thing. Yeah, it's like they following the big fish in the club. Yeah, the little fish looking for the big fish when they, you know, I mean, I would have never thought that it was that type of party going on. But I also do the same though. Huh?
Advertiser
They do the same.
Jermaine Dupree
Nah. Well, you don't know. I mean. Yeah, but you don't actually really see.
Advertiser
Yeah, I guess you don't see them till they run up on you with that thing.
Jermaine Dupree
But I'm saying in this space, I think, think, you know, we don't act like these girls actually see the money. They actually know. Yo. Yeah, you got, I seen you make, you got $5,000 from homes, right? Yeah, I'm trying to with you.
Co-Host
How did you do that?
Jermaine Dupree
Yeah, let me come with you. You know what I'm saying? Like, so I think, I mean, that's, I, I would have never, I never paid no attention to it. As a matter of fact, I never even like, obviously in the girls going to stage. And I never even questioned like, how they get picked. But if you watch, if you in there, the DJ will say four different names and then switch the girls out. And four girls that go up there, it's a whole conversation. I had them four girls get on that stage. Yeah, that's, you know, so I mean, that's, that's pretty much like, that's what it is. And by the way, in documentaries is the only place that you're supposed to learn that. You know what I'm saying?
Advertiser
You can't.
Jermaine Dupree
You ain't gonna learn that if you just go in that club. So there's a lot of documentary things like that that's in this documentary.
Co-Host
And official release dates for album doc, everything.
Jermaine Dupree
I mean, I'm trying. I mean, I'm trying to meet it. But the documentary drops August 15th.
Co-Host
Okay.
Jermaine Dupree
I'm on my race to get this done and, you know, chasing artists and making sure that I finished it. I just had a call just now about that. So I'm just trying to. Yeah, you know, I mean, but it's crazy. I got more artists than on this record than I probably ever had on any project that I've done. And, you know, clearances and all kinds.
Advertiser
Who's been calling you trying to get on there? And you just like, I just. The same may not. Yeah, like, not right.
Jermaine Dupree
Well, I mean, you know, everybody pretty much. But Because, I mean, I don't think people understand. I'm actually. It went from the soundtrack rules to a Jermaine Dupree album.
Advertiser
Okay.
Jermaine Dupree
So when you. You know, usually a soundtrack. Soundtrack Rules is like, if I walk down the street and I bump into somebody's like, yo, I heard you working on that soundtrack. I got something for it. Let me. You know. I mean, right? They might send it. That's an A and R. Right? Right. A Jermaine Dupri album is not being A and R. This what I hear in my head, right? So I was talking to Jada about this yesterday. Cause when I did Hating youg Blood, I put Jada and Freeway on the same song when they was beefing. But I didn't hear Freeway rapping. I heard Freeway doing the hook and I heard Jada rapping. And I wasn't thinking about they beef. And I'm only bringing this up cause I want people to understand how I'm making the records. Even people whoever's listening and might feel like I haven't put them on. I hear the voices when I make the Be like, I make it be. I'm like, oh, if I get this person. This would sound crazy, right? Even the older artists, like the next single with Sean Paul. I heard Sean Paul when I went to sleep after the. I was like, I gotta put Sean Paul on the song. And I sat there for a minute with myself saying, okay, he had a record out in a minute. How people gonna go with this? You know what I mean? Trying to see if I gotta play that. You. You hot game.
Advertiser
Yeah.
Jermaine Dupree
I'm like, man, you know what? I'm going, I'm gonna make this record based on my likes, what my taste is. You know what I'm drink Pepsi. No more. I want a Pepsi.
Advertiser
Right.
Jermaine Dupree
You know what I'm saying? I can't say that I'm from Atlanta. I want a Coke. Right. But you know what I mean? Like it's just, just that's. And I think that's what people not they not understanding. Like it went from it being a soundtrack to me. Just like what do I. What's my actual taste? You know, I mean what. Who you know, not. And I like everybody. I love all the artists in Atlanta, but it's just like now that I'm making records, it's really starting to be like tailor made for what I'm hearing in my head. So a lot of artists, everybody hitting me. Yeah. Because there's a lot of artists that I didn't realize if I showed me working with them that just opens the door for everybody.
Advertiser
Yeah.
Co-Host
They supposed to or piss somebody off.
Jermaine Dupree
Like Lucci was one of them ones where see me in the studio with Lucci.
Co-Host
Yeah.
Advertiser
I gotta get on there.
Jermaine Dupree
You got Lucci on. I know I went like.
Co-Host
Though.

So what happened at Chappaquiddick? Well, it really depends on who you talk to.
Greg Rosenthal
There are many versions of what happened in 1969 when a young tenant, Ted.
Jermaine Dupree
Kennedy, drove a car into a pond and left a woman behind to drown. There's a famous headline, I think in.
Co-Host
The New York Daily News. It's Teddy Escapes Blonde Drowns. And in a strange way, right, that sort of tells you the story really became about Ted's political future, Ted's political hopes.
Jermaine Dupree
Will Ted become President?
Advertiser
Kappaquiddick is a story of a tragic death and how the Kennedy machine took control.
I
And he's not the only Kennedy to survive a scandal.
Greg Rosenthal
The Kennedys have lived through disgrace, affairs, violence, you name it. So is there a curse?
Jermaine Dupree
Every week we go behind the headlines and beyond the drama of America's royal family.
I
Listen to United States of Kennedy on.

Advertiser
Touchdown, King City.
Greg Rosenthal
He's on it. How about Lamar Jackson?
Jermaine Dupree
Jackson takes it himself. Look at him dart back and forth. Oh, he broke his ankles and he's got a touchdown. He is Houdini.
Greg Rosenthal

Last time we was down at the compound, we tried your vegan ice cream for the first time, which. Which was delicious.
Advertiser
JD's vegan.
Co-Host
Yeah. Went out to Walmart and got some. Since you two are, like, the only two vegans like I really know, I put together a segment called Vegan Dish. Song title or both? And I want to see if you guys.
Advertiser
Song title or both?
Co-Host
I'm going to say if you found.
Advertiser
Something that may be a vegan dish in a song title, like, together.
Jermaine Dupree
Yeah, I want to hear this.
Co-Host
Josh, can we get a point system going? I think a point system. Even if you get the both correct, if you name the song title, I think you should get an extra point.
Advertiser
Okay.
Co-Host
All right, we'll start kind of easy. Wavy Gravy.
Advertiser
Wavy Gravy.
Co-Host
Is that a song title? Is that a vegan dish or is that both?
Advertiser
Wavy. I hope that's not a song title. So I'm gonna go with Vegan dish on that one.
Jermaine Dupree
Wavy Gravy.
Co-Host
It's going through the Rolodex.
Advertiser
I ain't. I never heard Wavy Gravy.
Co-Host
You know, MC Gravy, though.
Advertiser
True.
Jermaine Dupree
I'mma go. I'mma go with both. Because, I mean, I'm. I'm from Atlanta and this is, you know, they, they, they, they the swag gods in Atlanta. So the waviness might be. Might. You know, I'm gonna go with both.
Co-Host
So I initially thought it was both. It's just a vegan dish. A gravy brand from a famous 1960s activist. I didn't do that much research, but yes, it is a real thing. This one. We'd be quick. Super easy. Peaches.
Jermaine Dupree
Pizza.
Co-Host
Peaches.
Jermaine Dupree
Peaches.
Co-Host
Yeah.
Advertiser
Well, peaches is vegan. I'm gonna say both.
Co-Host
Okay, can you name the song?
Advertiser
I can name the girl.
Co-Host
She's in the magic City. Doc.
Advertiser
No, I can't name the song. Well, 112 had peaches and cream. Cream.
Co-Host
That's not.
Advertiser
That's not. Yeah, Peaches.
Co-Host
Cream isn't peaches.
Advertiser
No, no.
Jermaine Dupree
Peaches is Justin Bieber. Right.
Co-Host
That is two points for J.D. one point for both. Oh, we'll keep speed round. Coconut leather.
Advertiser
Coconut Leather. That is hilarious. Coconut leather is hilarious.
Co-Host
It could be a Rosso.
Advertiser
Yeah, it could be Coconut Leather.
Jermaine Dupree
That's gotta be a song.
Advertiser
Coconut Leather has to be a song.
Jermaine Dupree
That's not. That's not.
Advertiser
That can't be a dish.
Co-Host
You're both wrong. It's just a vegan dish. Well, not so much just a dish. It's a real vegan material. And they put it in vegan coconut leather.
Jermaine Dupree
Okay. Yeah, it is. Well, you said a dish. That's a V. Yeah, that's a vegan.
Co-Host
It goes in dessert. Okay, listen, I went to vegan Edu. Ato.
Advertiser
Hot.
Co-Host
Cherry Bomb.
Advertiser
Cherry Bomb. I'mma say both.
Co-Host
Okay, J. I know you're old.
Jermaine Dupree
I'mma go. I said both the last. I'm going go with just a vegan dish.
Co-Host
You know this song Cherry Bomb.
Advertiser
No, I don't know the song.
Co-Host
All right, well, you get a point. It is both, but Tyler Creator.
Advertiser
Okay.
Jermaine Dupree
Cherry Bone.
Co-Host
Yeah.
Jermaine Dupree
All right.
Co-Host
Poke Theory.
Advertiser
Poke Theory.
Co-Host
Not a dish, per se, but maybe a restaurant. But is it both?
Advertiser
I'm gonna say it's a dish slash restaurant. I'm not gonna say it's a song.
Co-Host
Okay.
Jermaine Dupree
I'm gonna just go with dish.
Co-Host
You guys are both correct. I thought it could be, like, if Q Tip, like, decided to go super vegan. I could see a tribe song being Poke Theory.
Advertiser
Yeah.
Co-Host
But, yeah, I can see that it's a restaurant. Singapore. Orange Moon.
Advertiser
Orange Moon. I'm gonna say both. Yeah, that sounds like a nice song title.
Co-Host
So I could not find a vegan dish called that. Maybe there's a smoothie out there. But I could only find an Erykah Badu song named Orange Moon.
Advertiser
There was no dish. Orange Moon.
Co-Host
No.
Jermaine Dupree
Oh, wow.
Advertiser
Okay.
Co-Host
Tofu and champagne.
Advertiser
That has to be a dish. There's no song called Tofu.
Jermaine Dupree
Yeah.
Co-Host
That'S just a display with progression. I think that will be the name of a rap.
Advertiser
Oh, for sure. That might be the name of a rapper in a few.
Co-Host
An actual brunch pairing at Plant Food and Wine in la.
Advertiser
Okay.
Jermaine Dupree
I like the way that's in London.
Co-Host
Somewhere in la. Los Angeles. Yeah.
Advertiser
Tofu champagne. Okay.
Co-Host
All right. This one is kind of. This is a trick question. Raspberry Beret.
Advertiser
Come on, man.
Jermaine Dupree
Both.
Advertiser
But definitely no. It's a song. It's a song.
Jermaine Dupree
It's a song and a dish.
Co-Host
You guys are both correct. But Prince was really talking about, like, a red ass beret. Like, he wasn't talking about a dish.
Advertiser
No, no. Prince definitely wasn't about a dish.
Co-Host
But, yes, you guys are both right.
Advertiser
Yeah.
Co-Host
Strawberry Swing for our last one.
Advertiser
Strawberry Swing. That's. That's a song for sure. Frank Ocean.
Jermaine Dupree
Right?
Advertiser
Or Lonnie Bro, whatever he was going by back then.
Co-Host
It is both.
Jermaine Dupree
Yes.
Advertiser
Okay.
Co-Host
Frank Ocean and was a Coldplay cover.
Advertiser
Yeah.
Co-Host
But yes, that is a vegan dish.
Advertiser
All right.
Co-Host
You guys did all right. What was our final challenge?
Advertiser
Real vegans, baby. He tried to get us jammed up. Like, we don't really do this Vegan. Like seven. All right.
Co-Host
Come on. I'm gonna say what's tired. I had two more with that said. We had another segment that we're still flushing out. I guess it's a this or that. You kind of have to pick an option between the two of one existing and one not existing in your career. We'll start out very easy. This or that. You either make confessions or you make the Emancipation of Mimi. You have to pick one. One disappears forever.
Advertiser
Yeah, one disappears forever. Which one do you keep?
Jermaine Dupree
Unfortunately, I got. Well, I won't say unfortunately. I'm gonna have to go with a man's face to meet me. Because in my entire career, I never had Song of the Decade. Besides off that album.
Co-Host
Okay. Damn. I think I would choose. I choose Confessions. I see why you would go with that.
Jermaine Dupree
I mean, Confessions was big, but Confessions. Song of the decade song.
Advertiser
Yeah. It's hard to give up a song of the decade. Yeah.
Co-Host
Bow wow, let me hold you. Stays in History. Or Jagged Edge. Let's Get Married. Does.
Jermaine Dupree
Jagged Edge Let's Get Married. I think it's a longer, you know, somebody gonna get married every.
Advertiser
That's the official marriage song.
Jermaine Dupree
I get married every week. It's something that'll be around.
Co-Host
Keep so. So deaf as the label or keep JD As a solo artist.
Jermaine Dupree
So. So theft the label.
Co-Host
I figured that.
Advertiser
I get tired and I ain't making no albums.
Co-Host
Be known as the mastermind behind We Belong Together. Or money. Anything.
Advertiser
JD Low key created Bling bling. He won't take credit for it, but I' ma say it. He said gleam. You said gleam Gleam bling. You said bling. Right. J.D. came up with Bling Bling. We don't.
Co-Host
And when Wayne the culture don't give JD that crap, I assumed he was just going off money anything. When I heard the first time Wayne said it.
Advertiser
Yeah, they give Wayne that credit. But JD Definitely said, I don't like it if it don't Bling bling.
Co-Host
Yeah.
Advertiser
And that was before Wayne and cash money like that. I'm old enough to remember that. I'm just putting that out there. We don't give JD that credit.
Jermaine Dupree
Yeah, I'm gonna go with Money anything. Cause I feel like the far side of me putting Jay on a record before people around where I live at was even paying attention to Jay. Makes me, I guess, look like I was smarter than what people think I am.
Advertiser
Yeah, that'll definite regular. Y' all introduced the south to Jay.
Jermaine Dupree
Z. Yeah, I don't say that, but I'm just saying I feel like I just. I. I know. Like, you know, Reasonable Doubt was this record that was basically what I was. You know, that was the motivation for money anything.
Co-Host
Yeah.
Jermaine Dupree
Reasonable Doubt wasn't a big album in Atlanta.
Advertiser
Right.
Jermaine Dupree
You know, I mean, you know, critically acclaimed rap album. If you was into rap.
Advertiser
If. Yeah.
Co-Host
But I mean, even up here, City.
Jermaine Dupree
Of Atlanta wasn't into rap music like that. So for me to pick him, even here, when I. When I went to do that record and I went on the end, I told him that's the record I wanted to be the sec. Basically the first single, they didn't. They didn't even understand why I was going with Jay. Cuz his momentum wasn't.
Advertiser
Yeah.
Jermaine Dupree
What they thought the momentum needed to be for it to be my record for a single.
Co-Host
So stay the executive producer of 8701 or keep your entire remix catalog.
Jermaine Dupree
State executive for 28701.
Co-Host
That takes away a lot of remixes.
Jermaine Dupree
We love them. It does.
Advertiser
But, you know, now getting rid of all the J remixes.
Co-Host
8701 is my favorite Usher album. But that's a lot of. That's a lot of remixes I got.
Jermaine Dupree
Throw them remixes away and get more work off 87.
Advertiser
That's a great way to look at it.
Jermaine Dupree
Great.
Co-Host
I'm looking as a fan, but. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, that makes sense. J.D. the artist or J.D. the businessman?
Jermaine Dupree
J.D. the businessman. I never even wanted to be an artist like that. I mean, what I did when I was younger, and then when I started writing for Brat, I just accidentally got on Funkify just because I was writing raps and was like, listen, you should do this. And you should do that. And I'm gonna do this part. And it was like a back and forth, like, I ain't know what was gonna happen with the song. And then it just happened to be like the song that took off for her, and I'm on it. And then people's like, well, J.D. you should make a record. And I'm like, I don't want to make no record. And then it just turned into me. People want me to just keep telling me to make a record. So then that's what I did it. So at that point in time, I was still. I was past me making music, which.
Co-Host
Is a perfect segue. One can only exist, sweetheart, with Mariah or Functify with the brat.
Jermaine Dupree
Functify with the Brat?
Co-Host
Yeah.
Jermaine Dupree
Yeah.
Co-Host
I think that is a whole different part in your career from there. Mor want to go through some of those.
Advertiser
Be the reason a new traditional R B artist goes number one. Or revive the R B group format with all new talent.
Jermaine Dupree
Talent. Be the reason the new R and B artist was number one. Yeah.
Co-Host
You think it's over for the group?
Jermaine Dupree
No, not at all.
Co-Host
But, I mean, not in K pop, but, like.
Jermaine Dupree
No, no, no, I don't.
Co-Host
I just think that I just Thriving over there.
Jermaine Dupree
I just think that groups. I mean, I just think it's hard to get people to pay attention to music, period. Not the. The. The listening. I'm talking about the artist getting them to understand the whole, you know, mindset of music is still, like, it's lost right now. So. So a group definitely is like, they can't even pay attention to what needs to be done for their records. To even be in a group with somebody and try to talk. But, I mean, I feel like a group can easily come back and pop fast, but it's just finding them, you know what I mean? Finding and figuring it out.
Co-Host
Welcome to Atlanta remix Or.
Advertiser
Or.
Co-Host
Oh, I think they like me remix.
Jermaine Dupree
Welcome to Atlanta remix for sure. 1. Because it was a time when, you know, people was pitting me and puffed against each other, as they have always done. And I decided to put puff on the record so that, you know, so people could have their little joy with that, you know, at that one particular point in time, you know, at one.
Co-Host
Particular point, you got it bad or Nice and slow, Usher?
Jermaine Dupree
Yeah, nice and slow.
Co-Host
Really?
Jermaine Dupree
Yeah, because nice and slow was to. Is the creator of you got it bad. I wouldn't have never made you got it bad if I wouldn't have made nice and slow. Because what I try to do with Nice after Nice and Slow and the success because Nice and slow was Usher's very first number one top 100 record. So with that being that being that song, not his first number one top 100 and it being a ballot in that space, it just was like we fought. I followed that try to make that song three times basically. And I made you got it bad. That was the second one. And the success of that one came and I was like, Brian, we got to do it one more time. We got to make the trilogy which was burned. So these three songs you playing back to back, they basically sound like the same song. They could run into each other. So yeah, I wouldn't have made played them other two if I didn't have Nice and Slow.
Advertiser
Who wins? Who wins the versus between Usher and Chris Brown.
Jermaine Dupree
I'm saying based on music, Usher wins.
Advertiser
But like how they do versus now like they both have to perform the record. So we in the stadium and arena, wherever Usher does a record, Chris does a record it.
Jermaine Dupree
Yeah, that's what I'm saying. I don't. I. I think that's why I said based on music, Usher wins. I don't know. You know, if we watching performances. I don't. I mean I can't really say because I don't know. You know, at the end of the day, I don't really know what you know, people might. And based on like how verses is, if it's. If it's crowd participation in it, I think It'll be a 5050 situation. Chris Brown had the best fans in the world.
Advertiser
Yeah.
Jermaine Dupree
They don't give a. About nothing.
Advertiser
Yeah, but Chris Brown. Yeah, so about nothing.
Jermaine Dupree
You know what I mean? So I don't, I don't. I think Chris Brown fans is. They. They more loyal to Chris Brown than the Beehive basically. And the Beehive might get mad at me for saying this, but I mean I just feel like Chris Brown fans, they really, really swarm and attack when it's got. When it's time for Chris Brown to do.
Advertiser
I only asked that because I went to. Thanks to JD I went to the Usher show when he was saying Brooklyn and seeing Usher perform. I think that may have been my second time ever seeing Usher perform. But seeing him perform and really looking and listening to those records and just paying attention to everything and I saw Chris perform once as well. I couldn't, I couldn't make the. Like I didn't know who put on the better show honestly. And usher being a 40 something year old man and still being able to Perform at that level versus Chris being in his young 30s, early 30s, maybe.
Co-Host
So are you saying performance versus and that's it, like. Cause I think.
Advertiser
No, I'm just saying if I went to a Chris Brown show today and then went to Usher's show. Show tomorrow, I don't know who I would say. I feel like put on a better show. And this is, honestly speaking, like, what I saw Usher do on that stage was absolutely incredible.
Jermaine Dupree
I think the conversation for, like, saying it the way you saying it, it's almost like saying Kanye and Jay having a concert.
Co-Host
Like.
Jermaine Dupree
Kanye might outperform Jay Z, but Jay Z has records. That's gonna hit you in a space that Kanye don't got. Right. So. So I think that's the same thing. I think Usher got songs is gonna make you be like, oh, I remember when this song came out, boy. And then Chris Brown might be dancing harder.
Advertiser
Yeah.
Jermaine Dupree
And so you be into the dancing. But that's what I'm saying. It'll go back and forth. I just. I. I feel like it's a 50, 50 if it's on in this. In that space. Because, like, even. Why, like I said, I don't believe nobody could battle Kanye in a versus me. Personally, I think he got records for everything.
Co-Host
Yeah. No, he really tough as much.
Jermaine Dupree
He got a record for everybody in every category.
Advertiser
Yeah.
Jermaine Dupree
Whichever way you want to go. But I think he'll have a hard time with Jay Z.
Advertiser
Right.
Jermaine Dupree
You know what I mean? Yeah, but you know what I mean? And that's crazy because I'm saying I don't think nobody could beat him, But I feel like he'll have a hard time with HOV.
Advertiser
Yeah.
Co-Host
And I feel like Usher would keep the same. It's 20 with versus, right.
Advertiser
Yeah.
Co-Host
Usher wouldn't need to alter his 20 to win in the performance. Like, I don't think Chris would have. I can transform you in his 20 music wise, but performance wise, that's going to be the crazy. Chris is going to do six backflips to that record.
Advertiser
Yeah.
Co-Host
But Usher is going to keep that same 20 and have the same performance. I think Chris would. I feel like I have to cater to the performance rather than lean on certain songs.
Jermaine Dupree
The scary part about Usher, that people, you know, when they have this conversation like this last tour, Usher doing. He's doing. And the cherry section and all of that. These records, Daddy's home and what's the fan. Superstar. Superstar wasn't even a single.
Advertiser
Yeah.
Jermaine Dupree
You know what I mean? Like, everybody love that these records are Reacting like, yeah, yeah, Number one records. Right. So it's like, that's. That's dangerous. Because ultimately, usher could play 10 songs from Confessions and not even before he gets into his own. Yeah. You know, his whole catalog. He got to play damn near 10 songs off.
Co-Host
He doesn't even should touch my way in 20, which is crazy.
Jermaine Dupree
Yeah, that's what I'm saying. It's like, you know, that's a hard battle.
Advertiser
Yeah.
Jermaine Dupree
Cuz you other artists got to do all of this, and he could just sit there and somebody gonna say, but you can't, you know? I know. 5 off confessions off top. That's got to be played.
Advertiser
Right, Right.
Co-Host
Got underselling.
Jermaine Dupree
So. And these the singles? Yeah, these are five singles that. That got to be played. So then what? You know, and you let somebody else that's not really in the music business pick those last five. They gonna pick a whole nother, like, superstar this. You know, I mean, it's gonna be so. I, I, you know, it's a hard battle.
Advertiser
Have you worked with Chris yet?
Jermaine Dupree
No. Only thing I did with Chris was. Was the shorty. Shorty. Shorty like mine with him and Bow Wow got you. And I did the Run it remix with Bow Wow on it when it first came out. But, yeah, that's the only record that actually worked with him in the studio.
Co-Host
Did Usher say if he got any pub or royalties when Trump used Daddy's Home when he was walking out of Air Force One?
Advertiser
Yeah. What did Usher say about that? When Trump used Daddy's Home record for his Instagram?
Co-Host
They were like four or five days ago, maybe.
Advertiser
That was Clint Larry. That was legendary. Like, I don't know how us felt, but that's. I don't know us's political views, but I'm sure when he saw that, he was like, yeah, I did pretty all right for myself, man. Like, the president used my song in the post.
Jermaine Dupree
Trump is crazy.
Co-Host
I want to talk to a social media team before anything.
Jermaine Dupree
Trump's a rapper. Yeah, I'm coming nowhere else from New York. It's just his mentality is so Kanye.
Advertiser
And he's some queen, so it's like.
Jermaine Dupree
Yeah, see, that's what I'm saying. There's no way possible, man.
Advertiser
Yeah, Daddy's Home was crazy.
Co-Host
And because, you know, like, Trump has to approve most of his social media clips. You know, he watched that in the office real quick in between meetings. Like, perfect.
Advertiser
Yeah, that's my. He's. Oh, that's my shit. Play that. You definitely.
Jermaine Dupree
This nigga bombs A country and put.
Advertiser
That he's Daddy's home.
Jermaine Dupree
Come on, man.
Advertiser
He just came back from dropping the ball. Yeah.
Jermaine Dupree
N. That's not. Yeah, that's. Wow.
Co-Host
That was his. That was his Kendrick. Not like a Super bowl moment.
Podcast Host
Wow.
Jermaine Dupree
Like, he understands it, though.
Advertiser
He gets it. He gets it. He definitely understands this thing. Yeah.
Co-Host
But anyways, once the Magic city album and Doc is out, I know you're, you know, 10 years ahead every single time. What's. What's after that?
Advertiser
He probably got a group he putting together right now. He don't want to say nothing like, I got it.
Jermaine Dupree
No, no, no. I mean, you know, I signed Division since we.
Co-Host
Yes.
Advertiser
Shout out to Division.
Jermaine Dupree
You know, we went through that space. So I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. As soon as I get done with this, I'm getting ready to try to make sure that Paul got all the records lined up and they, you know, I mean, that they do what they got to do. And I got a couple of other artists I'm signing, but I'm also trying to make sure that, like I said, I'm trying to continue my life in doing things that haven't been done. So if people with this album, this Magic City album, and they really with it, I'm gonna do a welcome to Atlanta tour where I'm gonna take the main five artists like myself, Quavo, two Chains, Ti Ludacris, we might be the main five, and then everybody that come with us be on this tour, and we go do a welcome to Atlanta tour, and we go out here and do it. It' done before I talked about it, but it's. It'll be something that people never seen before, and people might want to see.
Co-Host
It, you know, I mean, Mercedes Benz Stadium for that.
Jermaine Dupree
Oh. I mean, that's what I'm saying. It's. It's bigger. It's in my head, it's bigger than whatever. You know, it's not that big. It's the stadium. But I feel like it's definitely something that could go crazy. So I'm just trying to, you know, really, like, get that to a space and get all of the artists to understand it and see it and try to block the space out of time and then, like, put it in motion.
Co-Host
They could block it it out. That's a festival that's not even. That would be insane. What. What did you think of Drake's new single? What Did I Miss? Came out last night.
Jermaine Dupree
I don't care about him talking about the Beef no more. I'm a real rapper, real hip hop guy. I feel like it happened. It's over with.
Advertiser
You just want to hear music.
Jermaine Dupree
Like, I pers. Me personally, if I was managing Drake or if I had something to do with Drake, I would have had him just put a verse on Somebody Love Me. That's my jam.
Advertiser
That's your. Yeah, yeah.
Jermaine Dupree
I'm out in Miami. Turned up to Not. Yeah, put a verse on there.
Co-Host
Yeah.
Jermaine Dupree
Like Drake putting a verse on that song would have been so perfect to me because he. He would have talked his. It would have been like, oh, okay. This is. You know, I'm sure he don't probably feel like that song is. But it is. That song is the song, you know? So that's why I just don't. I don't. I don't care to hear him talk about. About. Yeah, I don't want to hear about that. Like, it's. It's done. Y' all didn't. Did what? Y'.
Advertiser
All. How did you feel about the. Some sexy songs for you?
Jermaine Dupree
The what?
Advertiser
The album with him and Party.
Jermaine Dupree
Like I said, I. With it. I liked it. I don't. I don't. I think Drake, honestly, I think some of them party songs Drake should have been on to make it more like a. Yeah. You know what I mean? Cuz it feel like they just was like a R. Like I said, n. Get on the song, man. You get on the record. Let party get on. No, Kia. I think the song would have had a different. Different, like, don't switch the beat. I like the beat Switch. Yeah, but maybe let party do a verse on Nokia and then it sound like so. So Deaf Bass All Stars and you know what I'm saying, like, that's how I'm thinking.
Advertiser
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Jermaine Dupree
They got so much, you know, so many pieces and things they could do with. I would. I would have just. I would have been going to work.
Advertiser
But I like that plug for Social. Deaf Bass All Stars. A lot of people don't talk about that project. That was. That was my. Yeah, that was my.
Co-Host
What. So I mean, what direction do you think you should take with the Iceman album in general? General. I mean, sonically or whatever.
Jermaine Dupree
I mean, like I said, I pray that he just get back to making records and that. That this is not, you know, this ain't this story of. I don't want to hear that. You know what I mean? I just feel like. I feel like we. I mean, you know, I. I heard a bunch of records last night in the club, a bunch of Drake records that made me realize, like, just do what you always did.
Advertiser
Like, get back to what you.
Jermaine Dupree
Because I'm saying, ultimately. And, you know, I know, Ma, you feel a little different about this, but Drake has to look at this the same way Jay had to look at Ether. Some people that feel one way about Ether, some people feel another way about super ugly. But the world said Ether, Right? The world said, not like us. Regardless what anybody want to say. And then Dre made. I mean, and Jay came back with dirt off his shoulders. All these other.
Co-Host
Just.
Jermaine Dupree
This went crazy. And then May Watch the Throne. And then, you know, I mean, like. Yeah, it don't. It's not. It's not. It's not death. Like, I don't know. Why keep talking about you and your deathbed and. Oh, man, come on, man. Just make.
Advertiser
Yeah. Make music.
Jermaine Dupree
Yeah. I don't know. That's what, you know. You dis me, I'm coming at your ass with a bunch of records.
Advertiser
Yeah. Yeah.
Jermaine Dupree
You're gonna be like, man, this JD Is tripping. I'm gonna be all out the window. And I'm not gonna be talking. Nothing to do with what you talking about. I'm just going straight at. Okay, you make more music. Let's see who make more music.
Advertiser
Right, Right.
Jermaine Dupree
Because I used to think that that's what Drake whole thing was. I make more rap records than any of y' all Nicks.
Advertiser
Right.
Jermaine Dupree
Let's see that.
Advertiser
Yeah, I feel you. Yeah.
Jermaine Dupree
You know what I mean? That's what I was. That's what I would be on.
Advertiser
Yeah, I could definitely feel that. I understand that. I think that's what it is with. With Iceman. I think that's just. What did I miss? Was the sentiment kind of like, oh, okay. Like, I'm glad y' all showed yourselves. I know who's who and what's what.
Co-Host
Cold Cool.
Advertiser
Now I'm on to this. So that's. That's what I think, personally. I think that's the direction of it. It's like, okay, no problem. Let me show y' all who I am and what I do, though.
Co-Host
Well, J.D. thank you. And I know you got to get out of here. August 15th, correct?
Jermaine Dupree
Yeah. August 15th is the DOC on Stars.
Advertiser
Yep. I'll be watching that.
Jermaine Dupree
I'm trying to. Racing.
Co-Host
Yeah.
Jermaine Dupree
If I don't make that, it's lawyer's fault. Just know it's a reason why I didn't make that.
Co-Host
It's legal fault. It's not yours.
Jermaine Dupree
I'm trying to get to it, but it's a couple artists I still got to chase and get down. I can't put this record out without a couple of them on.
Advertiser
I'll definitely be tuning in. I need to know everything about Magic City.
Co-Host
Yeah. Either way, I can't wait to to watch that in. In August, man. Appreciate you.
Jermaine Dupree
All right.
Advertiser
Our God, a legend, Jermaine Dupree. Thank you, bro.
Jermaine Dupree
Yeah.
