Okay, have you heard about this? Last year, Degree changed the formula for their Cool Rush deodorant. Their fans rebelled and wanted the old scent back and Degree listened. That doesn't happen often.
F
They admitted that they effed up and are bringing the original Cool Rush scent back. And it's exactly how you remember it. Cool, crisp and fresh. There's a reason it's the number one Manzani purse Sprint and it's back in Walmart, Target and other stores for under four doll.
E
So try it and see what the fuss is about. Head to your local stores to try the OG Cool Rush for yourself.

Damaris
I don't know. Just a day, man.
G
Every day is just blur.
Damaris
Every day is a day, man. I don't know what day it is.
G
Time is a construct. Yes, I agree with you.
Damaris
There you go. But we are.
G
Starts on Sunday, right? But, you know, only for Jesus. And guess what, Rory, I think I have an idea.

Damaris
Absolutely. Absolutely.
G
Well, how you feeling, man?
Damaris
I'm good. I'm good, man. How you feeling?
G
I'm cool. I don't know if you guys noticed. We were in the office and no one said anything, which made me feel better. I have redness on my nose and right above my eye. I had an insane bacon accident yesterday.
Damaris
You should stay out of the kitchen. The kitchen is not your place. It's always some tragedy that happens whenever you go in the kitchen and try something.
G
Here's the thing. When you have to cook bacon for, like, a whole house, and once you get to like, at least 15 slices of bacon, it's just too much grease for the. For the pan that I really have. I thought I was blind. I. I thought I was going to have to. I would be the Stevie Wonder of podcasting. I legitimately thought I was blind.
Damaris
You think there's too much.
G
I thought it seared my eyebrows off.
Damaris
You think it's too much grease for the pan versus your intestines?
G
Oh, I. They ate the bacon. I. Oh, I love bacon, but I didn't eat any of the bacon. After the grease shattered my entire face, I went in the room to cry.
Damaris
You make. You put your bacon in the oven?
G
No. American.
Damaris
Okay.
G
Come on.
Damaris
Some people put. You know, they put the strips on.
G
Well, they're communists.
Damaris
Yeah. What does that have to do with anything? I don't know. I have no idea.
G
But other than that, the weekend was amazing. Kicked it with family, Mara, moms, everything, you know, Regular weekend.
Damaris
Yeah. I went out, took my mom and my aunt to. I guess it was dinner. It Was right after brunch yesterday.
G
Yes. Dinner. I guess.
Damaris
Yeah. So it was cool catching up with the ladies. Love hand. You know the gossip. You get so much gossip when you hang out with your mom. I know everybody's business. All I gotta do is tap in with my mom once a month.
G
What's going on?
Damaris
No, like, family.
G
What's going on?
Damaris
Hey, let us know everybody's business. I know who's gay. I know everything. I know all. I know all of the family business. Now, it's fun.
G
But you knew who was gay.
Damaris
You have an idea. But it's like, when it's, like, confirmed by mom, it's like, okay, yeah.
G
There's never been a family member that anyone thought wasn't gay that didn't end up being that way. Which is fine because we love and support them. But I'm just saying, like, let's not act like this was something nobody saw.
Damaris
But finding out, like, your cousins is gay on Facebook is crazy. Like, when they say that, when they come out on Facebook and say they're gay. I'm so glad I don't know what's. My mom knows everything that's going on over there on Facebook with our family.
G
With how, like, great the gays are at celebrating, you'd think that there'd be, like, the way they do gender reveals. You think the gays would take over? Like, they're coming out of the closet. Party's better. I can. I can feel Demer staring at me being mad right now.
Rory
I'm not. I am not. I'm chill. I'm listening to you.
Damaris
The Maris had that. Listen, I'm gonna tell you like this, baby D. If I see that. Carry on. I'm just saying. No, no, no. If I see that.
Rory
No, but that's what I don't like. Ah.
Damaris
What? What?
Rory
Nope.
Damaris
What happened?
G
And this is what I don't like, because it was public information. You added a town I'd never heard of on your own Instagram.
Rory
Okay, we don't gotta bring it up again. We ain't bringing it up on this podcast again.
Damaris
No, I'm not saying where you were.
Rory
Not even the fact that I was gone.
G
How was your weekend? We were just trying to get.
Damaris
You said you were gone. Like, now you're back.
Rory
Yeah, I never left. I just. Me and my suitcase stayed here the whole weekend.
G
But your spirit is.
Rory
No, I needed a little stay.
G
Like, I watched your Instagram. Not the close friends. Your regular ass Instagram where everyone can see you.
Damaris
All right, baby? Did anything good?
G
No.
Rory
Anything Good. I just needed a little staycation.
Damaris
That's it. All right, man. Listen, all you got to do is give me the one time. I'm good. I'm back off. Okay. Good to see you, though, baby. You look good, man.
Rory
Thank you.
Damaris
That's all.
G
Yeah, you know, you look. You look refreshed.
Damaris
Look well rested. Yeah, well rested. Yes.
G
But your staycation here in the office was incredible.
Damaris
You stayed here all weekend? Yeah. Okay. That's what's up, man. I knew it felt a little homely.
G
When we walked into AC was already.
Damaris
Yeah, yeah, yeah. I knew it felt a little homely in here. Okay. Appreciate that.
G
After we left recording on Thursday, which. The episode came out on Friday. Listen, man. Number nine.
Damaris
And what are we. Oh, yeah, I'm. Listen, bro, I'm telling you, today, I.
G
Enjoy your, like, actual genuine reaction.
Damaris
Yeah. Like, no. Today.
G
No. It's actually like, a pretty big deal. And mall's just like.
Damaris
I totally forgot it. I didn't know. Yeah. What the hell y' all were clapping at. But. Okay. Got it. Now I'm on board. Got it.
G
I was extremely late to pick my daughter up from daycare on Thursday. I ran out of here. Then my phone started buzzing while I was waiting for my car at the garage. So I called P.E. i said, that Complex list came out. How did they slight us? That was my. My exact thing. Cuz I'm pessimistic.
Damaris
I just assumed the worst.
G
We already knew what time it was. We appreciated 13 last year. That's when we made our amends with Complex. That's kept saying, greatest platform. Greatest platform I've ever seen in my entire. When we were 13, I was like.
Damaris
Is there anyone greater than Complex?
G
No, I don't agree that my album shouldn't have been on the top 50. Now you at 13 here, like, oh, everything's cool. Black ball. What?
Damaris
So good.
G
I got white balls.
Damaris
Yeah, everything.
G
So I didn't even care. But I just felt like I had this feeling in my stomach that Kisha was going to be number one this year.
Rory
Let it go.
Damaris
Let it go. It's okay.
G
Why is it that I. I wanted to see where Kisha was before we were like, tell me where Karisha at. Don't tell me where New Royal Mo is at.
Rory
She didn't even have any episodes this year.
G
I know. I figured she'd be number.
Damaris
That's why he wanted to know.
G
I was like, ooh, the Puff Child are gonna be like, yo. Just her influence. Being quiet was the number one thing. So I assumed that she was number one. She was not on the list. We ended up being at number nine. Congrats to everybody in here. Josh, Peach, Damaris, the whole entire crew. Volume. Thank you for everything that you guys do. We made it to number nine, man.
Damaris
Yeah, man.
G
Top ten.
Damaris
Thank you. The complex for the, you know, the write up. Once again. What's our guy's name?
Rory
Jordan. Jordan.
Damaris
Did I write up Jordan? Thank you. Jordan. Jordan, though. But please don't ever refer to me as the Drake Whisperer again in your life. That's all. Thank you for lovely, lovely. Other everything other than that. Thank you. It was something else he said. And I was like, wait, what?
G
Let's pull it up.
Damaris
Some things, some words that Jordan had in there. I was like, yo, wait, hold up.
G
Look at what happens even when you make top 10 of a list that you still have gripes.
Damaris
No, no, no. Just. It was just some of the list.
G
Will never make us whole.
Damaris
It was some of the wording that I just didn't like. That's all. Just some of the wording. Yeah. Rory and Mall are on the rise. After debuting on this is Last year, they've cut into the top ten. On the rise.
G
On the rise already.
Damaris
Thanks to the fact. Thanks to the fact that their platform has become more than just a place to react to music, it's now making news of its own. OVO Mall has leaned into his connections, emerging as something of a. Something of a. I'm nothing of a Drake whisperer.
G
And by the way, you can't quote yourself.
Damaris
I can't.
G
No, I'm saying, like, who called you the Drake Whisperer?
Damaris
He did. He's the only one. When he casually dropped that Drake had a bomb on Iceman, the Internet went into a frenzy. He later clarified that it wasn't another diss, just that there was a hit coming. To their credit, Rory and Ma are in on the jokes and they find ways to have fun with their reputation. On the one year anniversary of the Kendrick vs Drake beef, Maul went head to head with west coast counterpart DJ Head. I like how he did that. In a first take, style debate with Rory and Damaris got into discussion. It was one of the most entertaining podcast episodes of year. You may not agree with all it takes and maybe yes, Malt takes the oval glazing. That's what I didn't like.
G
So far. Jordan saying nice things.
Damaris
Great, great things.
G
I was like, what is mom at it.
Damaris
Beautiful. Jordan Rose. Beautiful write up. Other than that, a little too far, but props for the duo for consistently finding new and creative ways to stay entertaining. Jordan Rose and everyone at Complex, thank you for.
G
Yeah, thank you, Jordan. I think that was great. I don't know, man. As much as, like, I do appreciate this type of lists, like, don't mean.
Damaris
That much to you or in general.
G
They don't validate anything per se. Like, I think the list they put together is. Is cool and fair. But there was plenty of people that were left off that list that I felt should be on there that, like, as it was cool. Like, I appreciate people even hitting me up like, yo, number nine is big. Like, even if you don't care about list shit, that's. That's big. Top. Top 10 hip hop media. That means something.
Damaris
Grateful. Appreciate it.
G
It's great for when you have a partner. Like, volume, they like to see that shit. People like to see that type of stuff. But shit going through the list. My biggest gripe last year was that Bootleg Kev was not higher. He went lower this year. And I feel like Bootleg Kev has been smoking shit.
Damaris
I honestly, to be fair, I didn't look at Peach. I think I was here with Peej and he had pulled up the power rankings. And once he showed me where we landed, I really didn't look at the rest of the list, honestly. So I don't know who landed where, who is or isn't on the list. But either way, you know, lists are cool and, you know, it kind of puts things into, you know, perspective somewhat compartmentalized and, you know, it's good to have conversations and things like that. But anybody that didn't make the list, you know, don't feel bad that you didn't. Don't think that you're not doing the work or not doing good work because you didn't make the list.
G
We've been left off it when I knew we should have been on it.
Damaris
Yeah, it happens, man. It happens.
G
But that doesn't mean as counterparts, we can't bring up those type of people. Like, I feel Bag Fuel has been smoking.
Damaris
Shout out to Bag Fuel.
G
If you're talking about people that it's hip hop media, right? And I think they covered a lot of bases. I think streamers. That's still hip hop media. And we'll get to the Kai thing after this. But what Bag Fuel has been doing under what they said as their definition in the article, how are they not in a top 25 of everything bag Fuel has been doing? Gina not being on that list is fucking crazy to me.
Damaris
But her and Head show, it's Both of them, though, correct?
G
Yeah.
Damaris
But so did Head made the list? I'm sure.
G
Yeah, he did.
Damaris
So why weren't both of them?
G
But then also Elliot made it. And here's my thing. I think Jeremy should have been on this list because everything Jeremy has done outside of Head, Elliot and his show, he's been smoking on the solo side. I feel like more than anyone on that show, there's a. There's Jeremy clips every single week of what he's doing on his own. I think Jeremy should have been on that list.
Damaris
I think it was the bars on I I 85 that kind of.
G
That it. First of all, it was just incredible show.
Damaris
Oh, it wasn't bars on IE5. Oh, sorry.
G
First of all, if Jeremy drove to Connecticut to get them bars off, if.
Damaris
He left la, I thought it was because Jeremy was on. Just incredible that, you know, they kind of kept him off the list. It was. They didn't. Wasn't feeling his bars.
G
I mean, I just feel by their standards, everything he's been doing, he should have been there.
Damaris
Yeah. I think that, you know, again, these lists are cool and, and we're grateful. Thank you to Complex. But to anybody that didn't make it or people feel like they should be ranked higher or whatever. Whatever. Listen, man, everybody just continue doing good work. Good work in the space. Good work for hip hop. I think at some point or another, we all need and feed off of each other in this space. Whether it's competitive, whether it's because we don't like each other, whether it's because we don't think that this person's work is good or whatever. Whatever. So you want to work harder so you can kind of get these people out the way, whatever it may be. Let's just continue to keep doing good work and keep putting hip hop first in this space that we're in, because that's. That's really what matters at the end of the day.
G
I. I agree with you and I love all that positivity, but nah, I'm here for a messy mood.
Damaris
Are you? Are you? Oh, okay. Go ahead, get messy.
G
Well, no, I'll start with positivity. Black Boy Max at number four. I can make a case that he should be higher. I love everything Black Boy's been doing his. In his entire series of. In the booth of like actually having rappers come in there and make music in real time on stream. That to me, is the definition of hip hop media and not streaming gossip. If we're doing hip hop media, you could make a Case that Plat boy Max is one or two in that regard. If we're talking about hip hop media, everything that we're doing here is for hip hop. I think he should be higher. He wasn't even on it last year, but I guess that just speaks to the year that he's had. He went from not on the list at all to number four. So I agree with that. The Kai thing is what I saw stirred up a lot of conversation. Does Kai belong number one on a streamer list? I don't think there's anything to debate there. Numbers are real. Is Kai hip hop media?
Damaris
He's from the Bronx. That's hip hop.
G
So is Ralph Lauren.
Damaris
Polo is hip hop. I mean, cop. But, you know, he has. He has his things, his moments, his hip hop moments. That's not his focus. So I can see why people may feel away at him being number one.
G
Based off the standards that Complex did give in the beginning again of the article. I totally understand why Kai would be there under those circumstances of launching rollouts, of having moments within hip hop. Yes. I just don't know if Kai would be deemed a hip hop like streamer. Yes, he has those moments and they go far greater than anything that we've ever done, numbers wise. But is that Kai, like. Do people go to Kai for hip hop?
Rory
I don't think.
Damaris
I think the audience does. I think. I think there's some people that may go to him for hip hop. Absolutely.
G
I think he does an incredible job of taking in hip hop to the new generation and how the young kids consume media, for sure, and making hip hop part of his world. But I mean, this isn't hate. It's actually quite the opposite. I just don't think Kai, if we're media power players, I think Kai should be up there on a Rogan list when you're coming to that type of thing. But I don't know if Kai really came in or ever focused on it being a hip hop platform. I mean, like the moments, you know, we love to see Offset dance with him in the basement and like all that. Yeah, this shit is great. Is that a hip hop platform just because Offset happens to be a rapper?
Damaris
No, but that's what I'm saying. He's not just hip hop. He has a lot of some big hip hop moments. You know, he listens to music on the stream when. When albums drop, when songs drop. So, I mean, yeah, I'm not mad at Kai being number one man.
G
I'm fine with him. Yeah, I fucking. I love Everything that Kai is doing.
Damaris
And then what is hip hop media like? Of course, Hip hop media.
G
My next question.
Damaris
It changes. Yeah, it changes. It's not the. The, you know, the Word up magazine, and it's not that type of thing, and it's not just the Source magazine type of hip hop media style anymore. Things have changed. Things. Streaming is such a huge part of our culture right now and the way people receive music. So I think this is on brand for Kai to be number one. I'm not. I'm not mad at that. And I didn't know he was number one until, I think just now, until y' all just told me that. I seriously did not look at the rest of this list. Like, I don't know who is what and where. Where they landed.
G
Yeah. And I mean, I guess based off their criteria is. Is to your point, the question I want to ask, what is Hip hop Media? Because there should never be a world where my name is above Big Boy's name in hip hop media power players ever. But if it's off the criteria of what is actually just happening right now and how people are finding new ways to revamp how people consume things, then I get it. But putting this together is going to offend somebody.
Damaris
Yeah, somebody's going to be offended, just like I was offended. But thank you, Jordan Rose. Appreciate that. What, man?
Rory
When Jordan hit me up for a picture and I'm like, what, man? What we do now? And he was like, it's for the hip hop. How I rank his list.
G
You ain't even tell us that. How I found out on my way to daycare.
Rory
Why would I tell y' all that? But I didn't know what number we were. He didn't tell me what number we were. He just said that he was doing the list, so why would I? I mean, I knew we eventually were gonna find out what number we were. I wasn't gonna ask him what number we were, so I sent him pictures. Yo, Jordan, I sent you two pictures, man. One of them had me in it. Yo, try to figure out why the you went with the one with just Rory and Ma.
G
I said in the post, I feel like you should have been right there.
Rory
No, you don't have to. That's fine.
Damaris
It's okay.
Rory
I appreciate that, but you don't have to do that.
G
Okay, Well, I thought this would be a way more fun conversation. Never mind, guys. Thank you. To Complex. Shout out to everyone on the list. Shout out to everyone that's not on the list that deserves to be There, you know, I wanted to have fun with this, but never mind.
Rory
What fun did you want to have?
G
Joke about this. Come on, man.
Damaris
Like, joke about what though? Exactly.
Rory
Like, what's the joke?
G
This ain't clickbaity shit. This is just a fact. Angela Yee has done more by the criteria of the hip hop media list than Charlemagne the God has in the last year.
Damaris
That's true.
Rory
I agree with you.
Damaris
Yeah.
G
Angela got her own show and has been smoking shit. I love what she does with B. I love what she does with Mayno. She has made more moments than Charlemagne has in the hip hop space. If you want to talk about all the controversy that happened with Jess, Hilarious. And that entire like, their inner workings, which, you know, we started that style, stole that from us. That's not hip hop to beef.
Damaris
That's very.
G
An internal.
Damaris
Internal beef.
G
That was so just hilarious and co hosted. That was a hip hop moment.
Rory
No, no, that was a pop culture moment, not a hip hop moment.
G
Okay, go through the interviews that Angela has done in the past year and tell me what's more hip hop media compared to what the Breakfast Club is will go down in history as the greatest morning show of. Of our time. I. I'm. Again, you only sound like a hater when you bring up facts. Why is he there?
Damaris
Yeah, I mean, again, this is me.
G
If it's. Again, if it's legacy, then put big boy Elliot, Angie, put all them in the top five. Like if we're. If we're going off Legacy because Charlemagne is. Is goaded in that.
Rory
What did they say on. Under his article, what did they say?
G
He. He talked to Neon because Neon's hip hop. Pull up a photo of Neon so Damaris and Maul can see who Neon is. That's how they started the article of his biggest moment.
Damaris
Little on.
Rory
Oh, sweet kid.
G
That's how they started. He's not sweet.
Rory
Oh, he's an. Oh, that's okay.
Damaris
Yeah, man.
G
You know and I know, I know me even ranting about this is probably going to get us lower on the list next year no matter what, no matter what we do. But yeah, starting a Charlemagne article with everything Charlemagne has done in his career, that has been monumental. Of. Hey, he interviewed Neon, so he's number four at the fucking hip hop media list.
Rory
Did they have a viral moment from breaking down Nokia or is that what happened?
G
Look at the question. See, look at the questions you asking.
Rory
No, I was just wondering why that was important.
Damaris
And listen, to be clear, this is no shade, no hate. I don't again, I didn't even know who else was on the list, so I'm not mad at where anybody landed. Shout out to everybody. But if we just going through the.
G
Year, I want to have some fun, man.
Damaris
No, no, I'm having fun with you. If we going through the year. Interviewing Neon on a Breakfast Club. There's nothing hip hop about that. That's all.
G
Nah, but they listen to Nokia, like, together.
Damaris
Offering commentary on the Diddy Trial. Some may say that's hip hop, you know what I mean? I mean, I don't know.
G
No, covering the Diddy Trial is very much hip hop media. Don't get me wrong there. But offering commentary on the Diddy trial.
Damaris
Wait, why am I dropping a spot? Because I'm transcending hip hop. That was one of the withering questions Charlemagne posted to us last year after falling from number three to number four in our annual list. Now, for the third year in a row, he drops another slot, largely for a similar reason. Because he's transcending hip hop is why he's dropping on the list. Charlemagne has undoubtedly broadened his reach even more, but the expansion has arguably diluted his once hyper focused grip on rap conversations. That doesn't mean he no longer has a voice in hip hop, especially among the older crowd. The Breakfast Club remains a powerful force. Neon's disastrous appearance on the show has been one of the biggest storylines of the last couple of weeks. And even on an even and even, an offhand comment from him can still spark debate. Like when he advised Kendrick Lamar performing. Not Like Us in full at the Super Bowl.
G
I'm sure that Kendrick was sitting there and went, that's a really good idea. Charlamagne. I never even thought about that again. That sounds like hate.
Damaris
It does. It's okay. Sometimes hate is good here. All right.
G
Yes. Charlemagne has transcended hip hop and I love that he's grown. I like, you're not supposed to just stay a. Actually, that's what I hate a lot about the radio culture and the gatekeeper culture. Charlemagne's not one of those people. Charlemagne puts a lot of people on. He's done a lot of great things for people, and he took an amazing opportunity and went further with it, carrying a message of hip hop throughout it. But I hate that that phrase of transcending hip hop. Hip hop is the biggest thing in the world. Anytime people try to do that shit, it bothers me of, like, oh, just because I want to fuck with hip hop shit. And I moved out. Well, why did you move away from It. You can do both. And Charlamagne's getting older. He's got kids. How old is Charlamagne now? Right. Close to 50.
Damaris
Yeah, I'm assuming, which is fine.
G
I'm not one of those people that thinks you should retire. Like, we got bills and. But why. Why is that a stat? Why is that a stat when you say it? Oh, because I transcended hip hop?
Damaris
No. Well, I think he was asking, is that why he dropped from number three to number four last year?
Rory
Like it's a stat. It's just.
G
Okay, I didn't. I don't have the tone. I'm just reading context.
Damaris
Yeah, I just think he was questioning why. But, you know, listen, it happens.
Rory
If. If him transcending hip hop is the issue, then Kai wouldn't be number one, because Kai transcends hip hop.
G
So Charlamagne came in. Well, let me not say that, because I don't know if Charlamagne came in. Yeah. Radio shows. But then Wendy Williams. Charlemagne, of course, is hip hop. But I don't think Kai's brand came in the same way Charlamagne's did of hip hop. Am I wrong there?
Rory
No, I don't think so.
G
Like, Breakfast Club was. Is hip hop originally? Yes, he came. Came in that way. I don't know if Kai ever came. He didn't transcend hip hop. Kai, you know, there's hip hop moments and stuff, but he didn't. He came in. He's a streamer. Yeah. Of course hip hop is going to blend with streaming, but I. I don't think Kai came in like a hip hop guy like that. Am I? All right, maybe I'm bugging.
Rory
No, you're not bugging.
Damaris
Asking me is asking the wrong person. I don't know how Kai started.
Rory
Somebody transcends hip hop. It doesn't mean you originally came from hip hop and you got bigger than hip hop. It just means that you are bigger than hip hop. Whether you started there or whether you just got there, you are bigger than hip hop. Kai is bigger than hip hop when it comes to music. So that's why it's like. If Charlamagne is dropping spots because he's doing more than just hip hop, then it's not fair for Kai to be where he is because Kai does more than just hip hop.
G
Yeah, fair. And that's where I think Kai and Charlemagne are different. And this entire conversation is going to look nuts because of my white face. But Charlemagne is hip hop. He couldn't. You can't transcend hip hop. I'M even looking up the definition to make sure I didn't, like, misunderstand that entire thing. To go beyond the range or limits of field or division. Something abstract, something conceptual. Anywhere Charlemagne goes is hip hop. He's hip hop.
Damaris
Okay, I see what you're saying. I get it.
G
Even when he did his book, which I make fun of all the time because I thought it was the most surface level therapy shit of all time, Charlemagne helped bring a conversation of therapy into hip hop. That's hip hop.
Damaris
Yeah, yeah.
G
It comes back to, you can't, like.
Damaris
No matter what he does, where he.
G
Goes, even when, like Kanye, who I adored at one point, when he was even on his 808s run with that of like, oh, yeah, no, I'm getting away from the hip hop. Like, you're hip hop. No, no. You're taking hip hop and moving it forward. You're not transcending it. You're hip hop. How the fuck could you leave it? Everywhere you go, you're hip hop.
Damaris
Yeah.
G
So that's why I just don't like that. Those type of lines, especially when now hip hop is the biggest thing on earth. Why Charlemagne was able to transcend in the bullshit of business that we're in is because he represented hip hop.
Damaris
Yeah.
G
And they wanted a taste of hip hop. Your hip hop.
Damaris
I don't think there's anything bigger than hip hop when you think about it.
Rory
In America, in the world.
Damaris
Soccer. Soccer is hip hop.
Rory
Soccer is not hip hop.
Damaris
You want to get to the origins of it. That's a. That's hip hop, man. And they definitely lean towards the best players now, the young, best players. They all like hip hop culture. All of them.
G
Not wrong there.
Damaris
So that's what I'm saying. Even hip hop has bled into that. Like them, you know, leaning, trying to, like, bring soccer or football to America. I think DMX was at a soccer game. I think he may have performed or something like that. Like, they. They still want to tap into hip hop culture. Even though soccer or football is one that is probably the biggest sport in the world, they still need hip hop culture to be deemed cool or to.
G
Be deemed, you know, Kendrick at the Super Bowl. Drake's about to do the FIFA. Like, every place goes to get hip hop. You can't. Trends. You cannot transcend hip hop.
Damaris
Not saying soccer is not big without hip hop. Yes.
G
Kendrick Lamar did the Super Bowl. Did he transcend hip hop?
Rory
No. He's a hip hop artist.
G
Super bowl is the biggest thing in the world.
Rory
Yeah. I get what you're asking in America. In America.
G
Wait, there's another world?
Damaris
Depends on who you ask. Depends on who you ask. Yeah.
G
Is Drake hip hop?
Damaris
Absolutely.
G
Is he not hosting FIFA? Whatever. Whatever that deal is.
Damaris
Listen, I. Again, hip hop, to me, is the biggest culture on the planet. Not even close. It is what it is.
G
It can't be transcended.
Damaris
No, I feel what you're saying. It's hard when you say transcend. So where did you go? Like, where did you. If you transcended hip hop.
Rory
Rory, read the definition. It means I can't be held just to the. I can't be limited just to hip hop.
Damaris
But no matter. But what Rory is saying is, no matter what room Charlamagne walks in, who he interviews, who he. Whatever he does, it's still gonna come back to hip hop.
G
Why do you think Obama sat with the Breakfast Club?
Rory
So then y' all are. So then y' all are. You're actually going back on your original point where you ask, why does Charlamagne deserve to be 5? Because does Charlamagne even do anything that's hip hop anymore? That's what y' all just said when y' all originally started talking about it. So you can't say.
G
Oh, no, no, no, no, no, no. They were also saying in the beginning of the arc, it's been within the last year. And I think Charlamagne in the last year. I mean, I love what he's doing. Black effect. And everyone seems to be happy over there. But that wasn't even mentioned in why he was on the list. What. What would. What would be the moment that would put you at four, interviewing someone that's not hip hop.
Rory
Oh, okay.
G
That's all I was saying is he.
Damaris
Had four or five.
Rory
Five.
G
Five. All right, five.
Damaris
Okay.
G
And listen, no matter what, this is going to be viewed as me hating, and I don't really care because I made sense in my head, and that's the only.
Rory
That's all that matters.
G
Thanks. Oh, you guys are telling me I'm crazy. Great. Thanks.
Damaris
Yes.
Rory
I mean. I mean, you tried, but yeah, I mean, I don't think he deserves to be number five either, but I think it is possible to transcend hip hop, to not be limited by hip hop. I think that that's very much possible. I don't know if Charlemagne's done it, but I think it's very much possible.
G
To not be an example of somebody that's. That's transcended hip.
Rory
Will Smith, definitely. But Trent. But I think you're mistaken.
G
He just circled back to give up.
Rory
Yeah, but he didn't need to. I think you are misunderstanding. Transcending as transcending doesn't mean you need nothing to do with hip. You have nothing to do with hip hop. It just means that you're now bigger than hip. Like, you're bigger than that. Your platform has grown bigger than that. Doesn't mean that you're not still hip hop or that you are not still connected to hip hop. It just means I'm bigger than that. Now, Drake has transcended hip hop. Is he still hip hop? Yes, but we will. We will always consider Drake. Drake is now a pop star. He's transcended hip hop. He's not a hip hop artist. He's gotten bigger than that. I don't think that that means that you've abandoned hip hop. It just means that's what he was saying. Like, are y' all now taking me down notches? Because I've now become a little bit bigger than hip hop. My platform has become bigger than hip hop.
G
Even when Drake became the biggest pop star you could find, at minimum, six records that are just completely flat out rooted.
Rory
What I said to begin with, Rory, doesn't mean that you gave up on hip hop or that you stopped being hip hop. It just means that you're now bigger than hip, have gone farther than hip hop, still connected to it, still a part of it.
Damaris
But see, I don't. That statement is what I don't agree with. When you say he went further than hip hop. I don't even think you can. Like, hip hop is the biggest. It is the biggest culture on the planet.
Rory
It's the biggest culture, but it's not the biggest. Especially when it's talking to Drake. It's not the biggest music. It's not the most important music.
Damaris
I think it is, okay?
Rory
I think that peoples take a lot from us and they use it to get bigger. I think it's the most important. But I don't think it's the biggest because we have been complaining for the past two years that hip hop can barely make number one before this battle. Remember, that was a whole conversation for like a year or two, Page, where it's like, yo, are we going to have a rap number one? Are we going to have a rap number one album? Are we going to have a rap. Look at the top 10 on Billboard. It hasn't been rap. It's been popping. It's been country.
G
Okay, you're talking straight, numbers wise. I think what we're suggesting Is more of an intangible of. You cannot surpass the number one aura of the entire world to the fact that Justin Bieber, who I would say is a top three pop star of our generation, his features are gunna and sexy red on his pop album. You can't transcend hip hop. Everyone goes to hip hop to get they sauce. You can't transcend it.
Rory
Okay, we can agree to this.
G
He didn't go do a. A country album and get Tim McGraw and he went and got gunna.
Rory
But that's also always been who Bieber is.
Damaris
Even Tim McGraw came and got Nelly.
Rory
Nelly. I think Nelly went got Tim McGraw.
Damaris
Nah, Tim called, he said Nelly. God damn it, Nelly. I love what you're doing over there. Love what you're doing over there in that hip hop.
Rory
That hippity hop.
Damaris
I love what you're doing with the hippity hop Nelly.
G
I mean, again, that went to a separate conversation from the complex list. And even Charlemagne to begin with. I just. I've always hated that term, that's all. Because I've seen so many people that get success say, oh, I'm trying to just get above what it is. I'm like, how? You can't get above this. This is. This is the hip hop. Is it?
Damaris
Yeah.
G
There's nothing else on earth that could transcend that. I like. Unless it's out of taxes.
Damaris
Very much a part of hip hop. Very much a part of hip hop without it.
G
Like every commercial, everyone gets their sauce from hip hop. Every designer, you got the anything from fashion, you have the clips walking in Louis vuitton and a song is playing about their parents dying at the snobby ist fucking event in the snobby city of all time. How could you transcend hip hop?
Damaris
Yep.
G
Okay, listen, I get it.
Damaris
And Pharrell, who is now the head designer. Yeah, he's from hip hop. They gotta tap in. Rest in peace. Virgil. He was hip hop. They gotta come to the hip hop culture, man. Everything has to run through hip hop culture. Everything.
G
And at one point, before they realized that Kanye west, who was the biggest artist, couldn't even get a invite until they had to keep up with the rest of the world. Oh, everyone's getting their from hip hop. Oh, my bad. Who's your man, Virgil? Oh, I didn't even. My bad. I didn't even know. Yeah, but I get it. Therapy books won't do it.
Damaris
Well, congrats to everybody that made the list. Congrats to everybody that didn't make the list. But that's still doing great work.
G

I ain't congratulating nobody else that in our face I'm over. Why being weird? I don't like weird.
Damaris
Who being weird?
Rory
I don't even with y' all like that. But I don't like when people weirdo.
Damaris
Why are you being weird to me? Who being weird to you gonna get.
Rory
Married when I say that. When you had your leg up.
Damaris
Who being weird to you? Demerit.
Rory
Ain't nobody being weird to me. Being weird to y'.
Damaris
All.
Rory
They said y' all was. They ain't say I was paying. Nobody said I was pussy. They said y' all was pussy.
Damaris
The thing about people, I want to.
G
Give both y' all y' all flowers. I. I've been wrong.
Damaris
What?
G
Because I did think all this was just content or whatever? Nah, this, these people is straight up. Straight up. Like I know everybody's the weirdos. I've Been in this business a long time. But, yeah, the days that I have fought of, like, let's just talk about this. Like, who gives a. Like, nobody cares about that person. It's just fun. It's just for funsies. No, y' all are right. These people are, like, the weirdest seeming. Some of the best creative writers I've ever heard in my life. Yeah, I see why their pen game is. Is like that. Because, boy, can you tell a story. So I. Even when this was on the list, I said to Demerit before you came, usually this would be a time where I would. You and I would fight about, like, yo, let's just talk about it. Who gives a. I don't ever want to mention these names again.
Damaris
Right.
G
That was the oddest, oddest thing I had ever seen.
Rory
Clip for that.
Damaris
Listen, man, I'll be trying to tell y', all, man.
G
I apologize.
Damaris
No, listen, it's all good. I'll be trying to tell y', all, man. That's why I don't go nowhere. That's why I don't be around these people, man. Now you understand it, man. It's just weird.
G
That one was, like, extra weird. Like, we've seen. We've seen the weirdest of weird before.
Damaris
Yeah, but that's.
G
And it's. It's fine. Like, who gives a fuck? But that was just like. I was watching that. Like, yo, are you. Are we in the Matrix right now? Like, do you live on Earth?
Damaris
Yes, we are in the simulation. Yes.
Rory
For. For the listeners that aren't exactly clear about what we're talking about. I'm not gonna say no. I'm not saying names.
Damaris
I'm not saying.
Rory
No. Let me tell you, I'm not giving nobody else no more free promo around this bitch. Because I done came out and said to y', all, hey, let's be unbiased about certain things, regardless whether y' all think that mall is biased when it comes to Drake. He's admitted his bias when it comes to Drake. That is what it is. That's his friend. We let that rock. Whatever. But when it comes to people who have straight shit in our mall had little raps about mediocre, raps about mall. We done came and gave niggas props. We don't count. We done came out here, been unbiased, judged, a whole fucking. That whole fucking New York versus West coast battle. We came out here, we were unbiased. We gave niggas props. We linked niggas fucking diss tracks. We said, yo, go check this out go listen to this. All in the name of hip hop. But for people to go on platforms and to still stand on bullshit business, tell lies about the way that certain things went down when they were interviewed. That's lame as fuck. Because we never had to mention you. You mentioned niggas hundreds of times for attention and we never had to fucking mention you ever. Like, let's really talk about shit. Niggas gave you props. Have you a platform to talk. Niggas did all of that and you still circled back and did some lame ass shit. That's disrespectful. It's corny as fuck. And it tells more about you than any. You too old for like that. Might not know how old you are. You too old.
G
He lies about his age.
Rory
So you too old for like that. That is corny as.
Damaris
And I'm tired of how long she been cooking.
Rory
I'm tired of y' all sitting up here. No, because y' all give a lot of props that other in this media space don't do. Y' all give platforms and spaces to smaller artists, whether y' all like them or not. Whether they put little corny disses out about y' all or not. And y' all don't have to do that. That could talk about y' all all day, say Drake glazing all day, corny all day. But y' all are still real as and give props when props is due. I swear to God, the next time y' all do that, I'm knocking over all these black magics. We not giving nobody else no more free promo. I'm over that. I'm done.
Damaris
Welcome to my party, baby D. That's all I've been trying.
Rory
I didn't even mean to go off. I don't like that. I don't like that because y' all are actually good.
G
Even left out some crazy details that make him look even more insane.
Rory
Yeah, I'm not even. I'm not even.
G
You was the one on some weirdo time and we was on some always contest fun. Like he did a role reversal. He made himself us and us him. I've never seen some like that in my life.
Rory
Yeah, that lameness. I hate lame.
G
Said it with a straight face. That's what's scary. That's why I think I can't with weirdo. You said all that with such a straight face that like. Like you're untrustworthy in the world.
Rory
Yeah, because we're silly and jokey and funny on this podcast. That rhetoric that people try to run with that y' all are. Is crazy. I don't even. Like, I don't. You know, I talk to y' all crazy. Like, whatever. In the streets. Do not talk to y' all crazy. I've been out with y' all when people say that they've had these run ins with y', all, and it's never, ever been no crazy energy. But start copping, please, to y' all every single time we out. And I'm about to start calling that shit out, because it's not just him.
Damaris
But, but, but, but, Baby D, listen, this is what. And I love the energy.
Rory
Y' all got me yelling and.
Damaris
No, no, I love the energy. I mean, you over there, but you got empanadas on in the oven. You got all kind of shit going on over there right now. But what I'm saying is, like, what else is supposed to happen, though? That's why I don't. I can't really give this too much energy because it's like. I know what happens. It's like, you get on these platforms, talk reckless, whatever. You get clicks, you talk tough. All right, cool. Do that. But then when I. We see each other, it's, nah, man. You know? So what else is it gonna be? Of course, it's just rap, and it's just entertainment, and it's just. Cause what else is gonna be. It ain't gonna be nothing else other than that. But my thing is, like, come on, man. Like, keep it. Keep it a little real. That'd be my thing. I be thinking, men are supposed to keep it all the way real because I keep it all the way real. I can't expect people to do that. But keep it at least a little real is my thing. You ain't gotta be all the way real. You ain't gotta be all the way honest, but you gotta be a little real. Like, at least that's what I expect from just men. Be a little honest man. And, Dennis, you don't have to be. And here's the other thing. You don't have to be. You don't have to put on this facade and this front and say these things to get, you know, clicks and views. Just put out good shit. Put out good quality, put out good product, you know what I mean? Put out good music. That's all you really need. All this other shit that they telling you you need to do. No, you don't. You don't need to do that. You don't need to go viral. You don't need to get. You Know, be this click baity person. You don't need that. You just need to put out good product. That's it. It.
G
And in my opinion, if I ever talked about another man's body, I wouldn't go hug it in person.
Rory
Hey, yo, yo.
G
Because I'm just curious, like, of somebody that we never had energy for. And then you had the energy and then you hugged what you were talking about and then said, oh, next time, yo, we New York, let's come on the show.
Rory
Like, let's really clear up. Like, niggas dissed. We say, oh, we laughed. Good job. Niggas dissed. We say, yo, all right, that's not a bad diss. Niggas dissed you like three times every time. We say, all right, man, he's still a good rapper. Never had no fucking energy ever.
Damaris
But I will say, you know, continue to put out good shit. We'll continue to talk about it, we'll continue to cover it. It is what it is. Just in person. Listen, man, save the fake phony. I'm just. I'm from a different era, different cloth. I don't do the fake phone. But if you put out dope product, I'll still cover it. I'm not. I'm not by. I'm not in that. I'm not that type of person, you know.
G
Oh, no, no, no.
Damaris
If is dope. If is dope. If you put out product, you know, and I like it. I'm not. I'm not a hater, bro. I'll let you know. I like it.
G
Great creative writer.
Damaris
But in. In person, if. If we shall ever cross paths again, just, you know, I. I don't wanna. I can't handshake and. And show love because I don't know if that's going to turn into, you know, something else once another camera's in your face. So let's just keep it.
Rory
Say your hands, you know.
Damaris
Yeah, it's just something else. It's just like, you know, but keep putting out, you know, good. Good luck in your career. Good luck on whatever you got coming out.
G
Yeah.
Damaris
And. Yeah, let's just keep it at that, man. But I'm. I can't be. I'm not with the phony fake. That's just not. It's not my pedigree.
G
All right, well, speaking of rappers, that will actually make some impact. Freddie Gibbs. Alfredo too.
Damaris
Shout out to Alfredo Dose.
G
It's. It's been. It's been three days, man. It's. It's rivaling. It's don't let him get stuck.
Rory
He text me, said, best, best rapper alive.
G
Best album out ignored you. I text that to you before I even listen.
Damaris
No, but when he was.
G
I text that he was about to.
Damaris
Say, though what he was about to say. Don't say his rivalry. Rival.
G
It's a tough word to say, right?
Damaris
Rival.
G
It's very hard.
Damaris
Rival ring.
G
Rival. Rivaling. R Ring.
Damaris
Rivalrying.
G
Yes.
Damaris
Part one. Don't. Don't do that.
G
Oh, I was gonna say the clips I. This would be better for the OVO thing that they said on Complex. I'm saying it's rival ring. The clips from my opinion of rap album of the year. Of course. Never mind. Number two. Tyler's of course.
Damaris
Number one. I like Alfredo too. I like it a lot. I listened to it over the weekend. I lived with it, moved around with it a little bit. I don't know if it's better than the first one, but in terms of this year so far, rap albums, it definitely is one of the best rap albums of the year.
G
I Still Love her is probably off three Days. My favorite rap song of the year. I'm with you. I'm not at all ready to say it's. It's not better than one. One has better music, but this is the highest level I've heard Freddy rap, period, out of his whole catalog. You can see, you can say. You can say albums are better in his discography. This is the highest level of rapping I've heard him. He is like. I didn't get, I think. I think almost some of how good he's rapping on. This is why I believe I prefer Alfredo1, if that makes any sense. Like, some of it is pulled back on Alfredo 1. He is rapping, rapping on this.
Damaris
But that's why I think I like Alfredo. And it's not fair because it just came out. But just listening to Alfredo too, I don't feel like he's rapping better on this than one yet. I like Alfredo to a lot. I think what him and Freddie did was dope. I love what he said about why he locks in with a producer for a project. Because if people love to kill me when I say that about artists, that that's what they should do. But he said it makes it more cohesive. It just feels like a better, you.
G
Know, And I love that Freddie said that. Let's look at, like, Freddy's saying that. Like, any average rapper can lock in with Mad Lib and Alchemist.
Damaris
No, no, no.
G
He's fortunate he said that. And Everyone. I was like, he's for.
Damaris
Nobody has enough. No one's good enough to do no 100%. He's in.
G
When you have Mad Lib and Mad Lib, like, yo, Mad Lib.
Damaris
Very fortunate and privileged to be able to lock in with producers like Mad Lib or Alchemist for entire project. But he's right, though. Like, it makes it very cohesive. The sound, the synergy. I think that, you know, he. He has some of. Some of my favorite Alchemist tracks in the last few years. Without a doubt.
G
Yeah.
Damaris
What they've been able to do with these last These Alfredo projects is hip hop. It's the sound, the energy, the content. It's dope, man. I really enjoyed this project. Freddie Gibbs is one of my favorite rappers right now. I hate that him and my other guy Benny are in the space that they're in, because those are two of my favorite rappers. Shout out to Benny, too. Shout out to his project, Summertime Butch. So I hate that part of it. But, yeah, Freddie is. Freddie is. Listen, man, he's. He's. He's staking his claim right now as one of the. One of the best MCs in the game by far. Like, I don't even think it's a conversation about Freddie's status in the. In. In the. In the game right now. He's. The projects he's putting out over the last however many years. I don't think Freddie Gibbs has a whack album. And his discography. I think his discography is better than a lot of your top five top 10 MCs.
G
I don't want to repeat ourselves, but I want Damaris to give us our flowers.
Damaris
Freddie Gibbs. Freddie Gibbs is. He's. And. And I feel like he's getting better. I feel like he's getting better as an artist. Yeah, like, I feel like he's getting better as an artist. Like, he. He's been rapping his asshole for years. But as an artist, you look at Freddie's discography, it's incredible. Like, his albums are. Are damn near flawless.
G
I know it's only been three days, but Damaris, if we're going from Pinata in 2015 to Freddy Bandana, Alfredo, Soul Sword, separately, you only die once. Alfredo, too. Cole may need. He may need to come out and say something.
Damaris
No. No.
Rory
Why you can't just leave Cole out of this. Why you can't just give Freddie his props and let Cole ride his fucking bike.
G
I'm trying to get you involved in it. Like, I want you to argue with me.
Rory
No, you haven't.
G
Nothing to do with Cole.
Rory
It's just because you love Cole I haven't heard from. I haven't got a chance to listen to it yet, so I can't argue with you. I'm sure it's amazing, though.
Damaris
I don't know if I like it better than part one yet, though.
Rory
Okay.
Damaris
Like, Alfredo. Alfredo, Part one is, you know, incredible, that project to me. And, you know, to be fair, it came out, we always talk about it pandemic. We got some of the best music that year, so we had more time to be still and kind of really live with music. Cause all we had, what we were doing was in the house. So, Alfredo, I might be better just because of that. I lived with it longer. That's what I'm saying. I don't want to say it yet, but this Alfredo 2 project is dope. Like we have as hip hop consumers. This is a great year so far.
G
It's been amazing.
Damaris
It's a great year.
G
I get. All right, we're. We're trying to review this shit within three days. It's safe to say that Freddie Gibbs already has the best hip hop catalog of the new generation. It's easy to say, man. Okay. I'm kind of like, what's the new generation at this point?
Damaris
And who's a part of the new generation?
G
I think Kendrick, Drake, and Cole transcend hip hop.
Damaris
Yeah.
G
If we talk about hip hop since 2015, you can put Kendrick and Cole right there. And I get it. I'm not talking about numbers. I'm not about anything. You want to talk about hip hop? If you're about to tell me Freddie Gibbs is not in that conversation, then I can't have a conversation with you.
Damaris
You talk about the music. Yeah, I get it. Yeah, I'm with you. I'm with you.
G
It's not even, like, close. How he's not brought up. I get with numbers, whatever. But how he's not brought up.
Damaris
We just talking music.
Rory
Yeah.
G
It's not even close, though.
Damaris
Like, I'm with you.
G
I only needed Three days with Alfredo 2. We can debate Alfredo 1, 2 later.
Damaris
Yeah, yeah.
G
But if we're talking discography, it took three days to know, like, has this guy not delivered since 2015?
Damaris
Yeah.
G
Every year.
Damaris
And I know people gonna say, well, he got. How come is Mad Lib. Yeah, but he could still be. You can. You could up an alchemist in a Mad Lib track.
G
Listen, is Tupac a goat?
Damaris
Absolutely.
G
Nobody said, well, yes, Dr. Dre.
Damaris
Right.
G
Like, what The.
Damaris
Does that matter? Yeah, I get it. I get it.
G
Yeah. My. His bad that a legendary producer saw his talent.
Damaris
Right. And thought that. Thought that they would be a great fit for each other. Yeah, I get it.
G
So, I mean, to me, that's. That's nuts. I did also love the put your team Wale record. Damage control. Wale also quietly has just been putting out. Great. I'm curious what's actually going to make the project and what's not. Sometimes I can't figure out what's a single and what's not a single, but Wale, for the last six months, everything is put out.
Damaris
Wale feel like he got a. He got. His energy's a little. He got a chip on his shoulder. I like that.
G
I think you're the first podcaster to break that news.
Damaris
No, I'm just saying, like, he has, like, you can, like, but you can. You can hear it, though, in the music now.
G
Like, I could feel that as a valet, Stan. I. I've. I have heard it since before. He should have had a chip on his shoulder.
Damaris
Yeah. But I like that, though. Sometimes I think, yeah, you need that. You need that some time to. To go out there and put your foot in that. In their ass and let them know, like, you know, I'm. I'm one of those dudes, so I love it, man. Shout out to Wale.
G
Similar to what we were talking about with graph of like, the new wave and era of underground coming with Griselda and everything. Had Wale came out later with this whole thing, I still think he would have done records with Lady Gaga. Still would have had records like bad and all that. I just think he would have been respected a bit more in that world because he was fighting in a. The blog era world. This world would. The same way we talk about Freddie. Because I could go through Wale's catalog and say, I'll put this up with every last one of your favorites. J. Cole, Damaris. He's up there with me with Freddie. Like, can you. If you put up a catalog, it's a little different when you look at it song for song.
Damaris
Yeah.
G
I try to bait you. I'm sorry.
Rory
It's fine. I notice now, and I just know.
Damaris
You'Re gonna have your chance. You're gonna have your chance to talk your shit, baby D Cold dropping this year.
G
It's definitely happening.
Damaris
You're gonna have your. You're gonna have your chance to talk your shit. You'll have your chance to pop it.
G
And I don't hope music Sucks. I want a great J. Cole album. Why wouldn't I?
Damaris
Oh, no. Yeah. I would. Absolutely. This year so far, for me, you know, we got Nick Grant. I took it personal. You got the clips. You got Alfredo, too.
Rory
Happy birthday, Nick, by the way.
Damaris
Happy birthday, Nick. Yeah.
G
What'd you get him?
Rory
Birthday.
G
What'd you get him?
Damaris
You think I got him a present?
Rory
You could have said gift. A present is crazy.
Damaris
You think I bought Nick, like, a present for his birthday?
G
Yeah, maybe wrapped it and everything.
Damaris
If I got Scotch tape off and folded it. Want to see how me and Nick is going to say, watch this.
G
Hold the corners.
Damaris
Wait, watch this. Just pause this one second. Keep recording. But hold on. I want y' all to know how funny that is.
G
Like, yeah, maybe he has, like, a favorite, like, fragrance candle or something.
Damaris
I'm gonna call him and just say that. Watch. Watch his response.
G
You just said probably. Happy Earth Day.
Damaris
Yo, my boy. What's good? What you doing? Yo, real quick, we recording, right? And Damaris, we was talking about, you know, all the albums that came out this year. And, you know, I took it personal, being one of our favorite. Damaris goes, happy birthday, Nick. So I was like, yes, it's Nick's birthday. So then Rory says, did you. Did you get him? What did you get him for his birthday? And I said, you think I got Nick a present for his birthday? I just wanted to. Because they don't know our relationship. How crazy would that have been? If I say, yo, Nick, go check your mailbox. I sent you something for your birthday.
G
Yeah, maybe like a gift card to a spa.
Damaris
He already said. He said, yeah, y' all niggas in love ain't getting this nigga no present.
G
We gotta normalize giving our male friends gifts where they birthday.
Damaris
Man, get the out of here with that, man. We ain't doing that is 40 years old.
Rory
Nick, you could say thank you the.
Damaris
Nick. Nick. The marriage said, you can say thank you the. Oh, thank you. Thank you. I appreciate you looking out. How you feeling, man? You good, man. I'm tired as a boy. Yeah, we'll war your ass out, huh? What? That hit me like a ton of bricks. I get up like, man, I can't do that no more. I can't do that. I used to, dog.
G
And your birthday is about everybody else. It ain't about you.
Damaris
Yeah, and you got. So you got. You got a little boy. Yeah. It's over for you. It ain't your birthday no more, man.
G
It's his.
Damaris
Yeah, no, for sure. Well, go ahead. Go Back to enjoying yourself, and I'll meet you later. For sure.
G
All right.
Damaris
For sure. Y' all be good, man. Have a good show. All right. Peace.
G
And see, this is my entire point. This is why men are so exhausted. No, but because we have been suppressing our feel of joy forever. Why can't we just ask and expect our male friends to get a gift? Like any type of present should come from your friend? Damaris hit me yesterday about a female friend and said, hey, was her birthday. What'd you get her?
Rory
That ain't what I said.
Damaris
What did you say? Yo, it's a lady friend.
G
You cash.
Rory
After I said you sent her cat money on her cash app. Yeah, you did. What the. You were supposed to do.
G
Okay. And my thing is why Nick just said, bro, I'm. I'm exhausted. You could hear the pain in his voice. It's his birthday. And it's based off you laughing that I would say, you wouldn't get your man's a gift. You wouldn't celebrate your man's. Like, maybe he deserves happy birthday.
Damaris
Yeah. No happy birthday, fam. You good? All right, man. Later.
G
And that's why he's so exhausted, because we've been built this way on his birthday.
Damaris
Yeah. Yeah, that. Happy birthday. Get off my phone.
G
That's a. I'm gonna get you a birthday gift, man.
Rory
When I asked him if he got the birthday gift, while you bringing that up, nigga liked my message and kept going. I'm like, so is that a yes or.
G
Yeah.
Rory
All right.
Damaris
You cash app your male friends for their birthday.
G
It wasn't a dude.
Damaris
No, I'm talking to Damaris.
Rory
Depends on the friend. Depends on how close the friend is. I usually take them out so that we both can indulge.
G
Yeah, Like, I'm thinking for something.
Damaris
You pick up the bill. Yeah, okay.
G
Damaris says for one of my birthday parties at my crib, she cooked everything like that. To me, that was a gift. I bought the groceries, too.
Damaris
Oh, that's, like.
G
Now, to me, that was fire. That was like a.
Rory
Birthday cake.
Damaris
That's fire. No, that's fire.
G
And cooked my favorite stuff. Like, yeah, that. To me, that was like.
Damaris
Yeah, that's fire.
G
A real friend birthday gift.
Damaris
Yeah, that's fire. I respect that. That was love right there.
G
That.
Rory
I feel like that bought me, like, 10 years. Like, yeah, she a dope friend. He ain't seen me on a birthday since.
Damaris
Yeah.
Rory
Yeah.
Damaris
Oh, you one of those. I'm this nigga this birthday. Let this parlay, let this roll over. Let this roll over for the next three birthdays. I respect. Respect that. Yeah.
G
Well, I mean, my last. My 35th, I went to Detroit so nobody could do anything.
Rory
I prayed for you.
Damaris
Oh, yeah, you was. You was working on your birthday. Last few birthdays, but we don't love ourselves enough.
G
That's. I. I could hear the exhaustion.
Damaris
Yeah. The pain voice.
G
And I. And I know for a fact, because he has a kid, today was about everybody but him. I know what it was.
Damaris
Yeah.
G
Like, hey, how about. How about we do everything that you're gonna have to pay for and take it? Like. Because if you say, yo, how about, like, just for today, you leave me the alone?
Damaris
Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Nah, you're a piece of. Yeah, you look insane.
G
But speaking of the girl whose birthday just passed. This is the girl that put me onto the T app. She put me and Damaris onto the.
Damaris
T. I keep hearing about this T app, so.
G
Databricks.
Damaris
What is this thing?
Rory
A couple months ago, right, I was trying to figure out if a man that I was entertaining was gay or if he was a serial killer.
Damaris
Is that the one you showed me a picture of? And I said, yeah, he's gay.
Rory
Yes.
Damaris
Okay.
Rory
I was trying to figure out if he was gay or a serial killer. Cause he was too perfect. Something had to be wrong.
Damaris
Yeah, definitely gay.
Rory
So I was. So I was talking to her, and she was like, well, have you heard of the tf? I'm like, no. She's like, you know, you go on there and what she painted it to me as. It's like, they'll tell you if, like, a man is. If you should stay away from him. Like, if he's a rapist or. Or if he's, like, a murderer or a killer or he's creepy. Like, it'll tell you that I would.
Damaris
Know if he was a killer.
Rory
Yeah.
Damaris
Okay. Red Flag is murder. Red flag. He just came home.
G
No, for real.
Rory
One of the people on there, it's like, he just came home for murder. His wife. He did. He got time served. Like. Like that. So I'm like, he got time served.
G
Okay.
Damaris
Yeah, go ahead.
Rory
So I'm like, so that's what it was painted to. As painted to me as. So I'm like, okay, this is such a great app. Like, it could warn women against, like, horrible men and stuff. Like, now over the weekend, it blew up and was like, people were on there, like, yeah, girl, he got a girlfriend. He be cheating on his girlfriend. His dick wag.
G
Tamara. Just slow down, because I want you to get there but don't act like me. And you did not search my name, mall's name.
Rory
We did.
G
Everybody we knew. His name. Showed us that. Tf you're not on it. We are not on that T app whatsoever.
Rory
One of our homies is, though.
G
Yeah. There was somebody that was on there. I was like, damn.
Rory
One of our homies is on there.
G
Not for, like, doing no, like, foul, rapey shit, but they just say he.
Rory
Keeps cheating on his girlfriend. That shit ain't right, but.
Damaris
Oh, that's. That's, man. But go ahead.
G
But, yes, once this girl introduced Damaris and I to this app, we searched Peej.
Damaris
Imagine. Searching Peej worked for us.
Rory
We found. We didn't find. I'm sorry. We searched for you. We didn't find you. I'm sorry. Yes.
G
Did we? Because maybe we should double check.
Damaris
So wait, this app is for just for women all over the world. Country.
Rory
All over the country.
G
No, you could put a zip code, a whole area. Like, she shares her location with that app so she could just hit her location.
Damaris
Okay. Okay.
Rory
People in the area.
Damaris
Gotcha.
G
It's like dick, yo. Okay, more or less.
Rory
But it wasn't originally for that.
G
It was for the protection of women. I mean, I don't know if T app will say this, but. Same way onlyfans. A lot of attitude with certain women and sex work and things like that to make sure whatever you're doing is safe with the people that you're meeting up with.
Damaris
Got you.
G
Okay. So then it spreads.
Damaris
Okay.
G
And Damaris, you can take it from here after that breach. I just want to make it clear. Yeah, he was squeaking clean on that. And anything after this will 1000% because we talked about it.
Rory
Yeah, they. They started just. It stopped becoming about safety. It started just becoming about quote, unquote, gossip. And so it blew up. Was getting mad. They like, what if we did this for women? Ah, yeah, y' all do. It's called group chats. But they were just so every. Everybody was so angry because people were, you know, exposing. Like, oh, I went on a date with him and his dick was whack, or he's hairy or his butt stinks. Like, it was just like that.
Damaris
That's what they own this app talking about.
Rory
Yes. And they can give. People can give you red flags or green flags, yada, yada. So, yeah, it spread all over your face. Like there was a huge dad. Yeah, they put a picture of your face. There was a huge daddy. Data breach where. So some people, I guess, were uploading their license because when you. When you sign up, you have to verify that they need a record of you being who you are. Right. So, for example, when I signed up a couple months ago to find out if that man was a murderer, I used my photo. I didn't use my id. Some people were using their id and then there was a data breach. So then all of those people's IDs and selfies became public when the app is actually supposed to delete them the moment they have them. But you know, the moment you take them or whatever and they verify, but you know, that doesn't ever work out like that. So huge data breach. Everybody's like, ah, that's what y' all get. Y' all are fucking stupid for signing up to this app. And I'm just like, if the app was being used for what it was originally created for, I understand why an app like that exists. And I'm grateful that an app like that exists. But to make it just about, like, personal, like, stupid shit. It's just shit.
G
When we were looking on the app app with her, all of that was legitimately about, like, whether that man was safe or not.
Rory
Yeah.
G
Like, it wasn't on. Somebody always. Dick was whack or like. And it was really about safety. Yeah. So once that. Because how long ago do you think that was? She showed us that up a couple months ago. Seven years ago.
Damaris
It's always seven years ago. You know that. Seven.
G
No, but it was a couple months ago. It's okay. You can tell the truth on my. I don't care. Unless you trying to.
Damaris
Right before the pandemic.
Rory
Top of June. Top of June.
Damaris
June. Okay.
Rory
June.
G
Yeah. When we were looking at that, I mean, whatever her settings were, were just for safety.
Rory
Yeah.
G
Cuz once I saw this go off, I was like, oh, that was the app that Shorty showed us.
Damaris
So is there an app like this for guys? Like, so we can know that the.
G
Women that we would get arrested if we had an app like that?
Damaris
Why?
G
Because double standards exist to see if that. I agree with. Like, that's true.
Rory
Rob me.
G
Yeah, yeah. But I'm saying men couldn't have that appreciate app. We would never. We would never be allowed to have that app.
Damaris
But that is so crazy. Women do crazy too.
G
No, I agree. No, I think men should be able to have their T app. I'm just saying in this society, we would get smoked for having that app.
Rory
I mean, but to be fair, women are. Are getting smoked for having that app right now too, so.
G
Well, also, the having the T app.
Rory
Yeah.
G
The also irony of the entire thing because I don't really agree with how that app ended up being because it ended up being gossip. But it is kind of funny that a tapp designed to protect women ended up having all of their addresses out there. Jesus. Like, that was. That was the irony of the entire thing.
Damaris
Yeah.
G
Because all the women that use their IDs, their addresses.
Damaris
Yeah, that's fucked up.
G
But it turned into some gossipy like, listen, Dick Yelp was fucked up, but at least it was called Dick Yelp. We knew what type of time it was. The T app was really started to help and protect women.
Damaris
Yeah. They was wrong for putting me on that app. That was crazy.
G
They said incredible things about you.
Damaris
That was crazy.
G
You remember the things they said about me? No, it's up. They put me on. They said I used the hard er and tried to do slave cosplay with her. No. Oh.
Damaris
Oh.
G
It's up that everyone found out that you have a huge dick and you're a great lover. Oh, God. Oh, my God. How it. Oh, you poor guy. They said that I do slave cosplay and the only way I can is if I use the hard er when I'm. You poor gentleman. I'm so sorry that that happened.
Damaris
I forgot they said that about you, Roy. Damn, man. My bad.
G
That's the only thing on Dicky up ahead.
Damaris
Yo. Damn. My bad, bro. I forgot about that.
Rory
How do you do slave cosplay exactly?
G
Rory, Cuz I'm a history book.
Damaris
He dresses up like Leonardo DiCaprio. Django.
G
Really into history. And she didn't realize that if we continued on with it, everyone was going to be free.
Damaris
Everybody. She didn't let the story go on longer.
Rory
All right, please.
Damaris
It starts out bad, but it ends in a beautiful. It ends with Juneteenth.
Rory
All right, all right. Okay.
F
It ends on June.
G
Look, all that y' all not about to tell on Juneteenth. Nickel. It's okay if somebody makes up some that I'm doing slave cosplaying the rdr. Now I can't joke about the.
Damaris
It ends on Juneteenth. That's where it ends. On Juneteenth is when the story ends.
G
Trying to do some real historical.
Damaris
Yeah, no. They didn't see your vision, man. They didn't see your vision.
G
Oh, my God.
Damaris
Holy. That's hilarious.
G
All right, is there anything before we do get to voicemails, is there anything we need to cover here? Anything musical? Oh, Destiny's Child reunion?
Rory
I don't Want to talk about.
Damaris
About it?
G
Why? I kind of don't either, man.
Damaris
Why?
G
Cuz I would have. I would have spent my last dollar to fly to Vegas to go see that.
Damaris
I would have.
G
For that. Add me to the T. What you need from me?
Rory
What's funny?
Damaris
Yo said I would have sold. You would have sold cat for them tickets right there. Y. Oh, man.
G
I could do in Vegas. I could go see the cowboy car tour where hov can come out, and then Destiny's Child can come out.
Damaris
That's crazy.
Rory
Shaboozi, too.
Damaris
Damn, that's a hell of a show.
Rory
Her light skin ass with that one.
Damaris
That's crazy.
G
I know, I know. They film everything. If that show specifically is not like a Netflix special, I'm gonna be tight. All right, But I need to see that full show.
Damaris
Here's the crazy question. Was it like the first Destiny's Child?
Rory
No, it was. It was.
Damaris
It was. It was the trio. It was Charlie's Angels. It was the Charlie's Angels. Okay, okay. All right.
G
Who. All right. You think it was all of them? You think it was all five?
Damaris
No, I'm just saying, you never know. You never know where those women at in their life right now.
Rory
I think there were six total members of Destiny Shout. Like, six, like, at. Everybody who's ever claimed to be a part of Destiny Shout is six of them.
G
Kelly. Michelle wasn't original, right?
Rory
No, Beyonce.
G
Kelly.
Rory
Kelly. Latavia. Latoya. That was the original Fallon or Faron.
Damaris
Faron.
G
Oh, f. That was her name.
Rory
And then.
G
Sorry, Far. You could get luggage.
Rory
They could ship your luggage.
G
That was said to Latoya, right?
Rory
That was said to Pharaoh and then Michelle. So there were, I think, six original.
G
I mean, Latoya Luck has been the only, like, vocal one about the entire thing, though, right? No, I don't know if I've seen, like, a Latavia or Farah interview.
Damaris
I mean, but it was only there for, like, 10 months, though.
Rory
Yeah, she was. It was quick.
Damaris
They tried something. It was like, she's. She's pretty, you know, she might be 50.
G
It. You know, I'm beehive, right? You know, like, I. Beyonce to me is the goat, right? If somebody ever said to my face, we could ship your luggage.
Rory
But how am I going Got no luggage? I mean, they can ship you luggage.
G
Every camera in that is going.
Rory
They wanted her ass out that studio.
Damaris
Oh, my God.
Rory
That.
G
I'm flipping over the soundboard. We could ship here.
Damaris
Lucky. I mean, sometimes you gotta ship Beyonce's.
Rory
Beyonce.
G
Beyonce was A child at that time, too. Like.
Damaris
Like, yeah.
G
I'm not judging them, but I would have lost my. If somebody would have said she didn't.
Rory
Give New York or Houston nothing but Vegas and Atlanta. You decided to give them some.
G
Them you're not seeing the bigger play Gamble time, I guess.
Damaris
I guess. Shout out to. Shout out to Hit Boy, who is now out of his up contract that he was in since he was probably 18 years old. J. Jay Z had a lot to do with helping him get out of that contract. So shout out to Hit Boy for, you know, that finally happening for him. I know how much that was fucking with him in his career.
G
It was a great moment at the Vegas show as well.
Damaris
Yeah.
G
Someone he called Hitboy just seeing Hove and ran over.
Damaris
Yeah.
G
Like, yo, thank you.
Damaris
Yeah. So you gotta put the good stories, the great stories out about Jay that, you know, people try to. Try to keep stifled and, you know, know, make up stories about Jay. But those are the. Those are the stories that that matter. The. The real stories, the stories that you can see and see people talk about and hear people talk about and thank him for the things that he's done for them. So. Shout out to Hit Boy, man.
G
Yeah. Oh, before we get to voicemails, did you do this intentionally? The Central C and Drake record that I said I love came out.
Damaris
I sit here. I try not to, man.
G
You know, it's just, you know, try not to.
Damaris
Try not to bring. I try not to bring up the obvious, man. You know what I mean? But listen, man, we're here. Talk about it.
G
I've enjoyed how he's. He's done these streams. Do we think that they're actually, like, live streams?
Damaris
They are live streams.
G
Okay, well, that's a very dope cont.
Damaris
That's. That's.
G
That's something. Maybe we were doing a live stream and we shot this already and we're putting it here.
Damaris
No, no, no. So that's. That's one thing that I think, you know, people don't realize. It's. It's a continuous shot for the last one. Which one record with Drake and Central C. All of that you're seeing is literally, you know, like 1312 to 13 different setups.
G
Yeah.
Damaris
Drake has to, literally, after one shot is done, he's running to another. Another shot. Getting in the car, driving up the block to a bath house, hopping out, going to the train station. Like, oh, no.
G
I mean, I watched the. I watched both of them in real time. I just wasn't sure if this was something that was really shot before.
Damaris
It's literally shot. It's. It's live stream. Okay. So, you know, you know, I think, I think what Drake is doing is, is, is. Is amazing with this, the way he's doing this. It's my belief, again, I don't know for sure. It's my belief that all of this ties into one big thing at the end of it.
G
Like a album called Iceman.
Damaris
Well, no, well, obviously that, but I mean, like, it's like a. The way everything is. It's a story behind the album.
G
Oh, yeah, no, I think so as well.
Damaris
You know what I mean? So I just, I. I think it's the locations.
G
He's just. Even though he was already in Europe for that entire thing. Yeah. I think how he's even shot these things is. Means something.
Damaris
It's dope.
G
Like I said, off the wireless. I think. Which one is fire Dope?
Damaris
I think it debuted at number seven. I don't even.
G
I don't care.
Damaris
No, I know you don't care, but.
G
But it's a cool record to me.
Damaris
But for Central C, it's his first record in the top 10. So that's really. Yeah, that's big fam. Yeah.
G
Oh, well, congrats to Central C. Yeah, that's great. I like his verse on that there. I wish they would have with the beat switch.
Damaris
That beat in the elevator maybe a little earlier, that Boy Wonder track. Oh, my God.
G
Oh, God.
Damaris
Yeah, yeah, that's. That's. Yeah, we need that. We need that. Damn. It's so hard not to talk about, but yeah, man, we. We need that, man. We need that. That's.
G
I mean, not that it matters now because no matter what the. The Internet is going to pick sides on it. Was it a misstep of doing the Pinocchio thing? Because I, I do understand what he was saying. He's trying to run away from the liar and he's got a bag which probably has all the secrets and this and that. But that could also be interpreted of like, are you running away from your lies? Like having Pinocchio run around in the same tree as Kendrick? Like.
Damaris
Or it's just, you know, lies. Lies chasing me.
G
Okay, yeah, no, I get the concept.
Damaris
Lies chasing.
G
Chasing ammo to a whole. A whole platform that is trying to take you down with that type of. So, yeah, but I mean, I think how you got. How this has been shot, how I cool this idea is why focus more on it?
Damaris
Like, I mean, it's a little Easter egg. It's not.
G
You Know my real question? I know we're supposed to do serious hip hop shit here. Who do you think they casted to be the Pinocchio? Like, who dressed up that. Like, I want to. I want to meet that person. I don't care about. I don't want to interview Drake. I want to interview the guy that dressed up like Pinocchio and ran after Drake the whole time. I was like. Because that guy had to. Especially if it's really live streamed.
Damaris
Yeah.
G
He had to, like, rehearse that.
Damaris
Yeah.
G
So he dressed up that way.
Damaris
Yeah.
G
And then ran in a London street.
Damaris
Absolutely, absolutely. Record is dope, though. I like that record. You like that record, Baby D, I've.
Rory
Heard a little bit from you guys, like, playing it in here. Like Peach, I think played it earlier today when he was playing. Please. Played every single graduation song that existed today. I'm not even gonna get into his playlist.
G
No. If that was played at graduations, that's a sick ass graduation. Ye played every record that was supposed to be a motivational kid record, and it was. Yeah, I didn't even catch his DJ set until the third one. And Nas, I know I can came on. I said, oh, I see what you're trying to do right now.
Damaris
Yeah, yeah.
Rory
He played like. I don't know what he was doing, but he played it earlier and I was like, okay, my hips are moving like, a little bit. Like, okay, what's up? But I haven't taken the time to sit and listen to it. I haven't been listening to music lately, y'.
G
All.
Damaris
What you been listening to? What you been doing?
Rory
You said what.
Damaris
What you been doing?
Rory
I've been talking to myself a lot lately. I don't know if I'm, like, manic, but I've been, like, talking to myself a lot.
Damaris
Been saying.
Rory
I just be. I be. I be like, yo, they think you, like, a lot of, like, it's a lot like, I don't know, like, Josh, you cool?
Damaris
Baby D, what you going through? Yo, you in the crib. Yo, imagine baby at the sink washing dishes. She. She put the plate. They're like, n. They think I'm really talking about.
Rory
Think you, baby, like, people just be thinking I'm.
Damaris
I don't know who you talking about.
Rory
Sometimes when people, like, go to say to me and, like, you ever catch a tone like, oh, you like, I haven't slapped the out of nobody in a long time. And I feel like because of that, I don't know, like, people are questioning my ability and my willingness to do it.
Damaris
Yeah.
Rory
You know what I'm saying? That's why I want to apologize to my listeners for the vigor and my yelling earlier. Like, I didn't even. Like, I didn't even want to come to y'.
Damaris
All. Yeah, that ain't true.
Rory
That ain't even. You know what I'm saying? It can be, though.
Damaris
Yeah. Yeah.
Rory
I told the truth.
G
Exactly.
Damaris
I don't lie.
Rory
But, you know.
G
So there we are.
Rory
Yeah. I just. I don't know. I've been feeling.
Damaris
But when you talk to yourself, do you answer?
Rory
I. I'll say something like, I feel like they do. Niggas think I'm pussy. And they be like, nah, n. Don't think I'm pussy. But I don't know, Maris, you tripping. Like, some. Like, sometimes you gotta. You gotta talk yourself off the ledge. I don't know, but I need to listen to more music. I'll go put on Alfredo, too, today. I'll listen to. To that, but that might put me in a different mood. You know what I mean? Like, what type of time he on?
Damaris
You might. You might go outside and put some on the blade. Get that money.
Rory
That's the type of time I need to be on, so I. I'll listen.
Damaris
Get that money, baby. The.
G
I like people thinking I'm.
Damaris
I love it. I'm pussy. Let me put that out there. I am. No. What camera am I at peace. I am. I'm a taxpaying citizen. I'm putting that on camera. I am. I am scared. Scared. Yes.
G

Josh, what do we have From Austin, Texas. Yo. So me and my wife just recently found out that we have a really close friend. And she's always so nice, you know, we support her all this stuff. But we found out at a baby shot recently that she was talking behind her back saying that our second baby wasn't planned this and that and talking to other people about just our relationship and stuff. But I've never seen this coming from her. Like, she's always been so sweet to us, like, supports us. Like, how do you handle it? Like, do you bring that up to her? Or like, do you just cut people off? Like, you know, because I'm at that age where I just don't have time and energy to be like talking, discussing about that. But why do you think people talk about our relationship behind our back when they show all this stuff, how they support us and face to face, you know, Baby D, let me know how you would respond.
G
What's wrong if the especially the second baby wasn't planned?
Damaris
Like.
Rory
Who cares?
G
Yeah, I could see like the first one, but the second one, what's wrong with that?
Rory
My thing is is who's the information coming from?
G
Let's go on my next thing. I'd like to know how. How did you guys find this out, right?
Rory
Like. Cause who even came, who even decided to bring that into your life? Like, you're having a baby, you're happy, you're in a healthy relationship. Who's the person that decided to come and be like, hey, here's a little bit of drama to add to the recap of your. Because I don't really trust that person. Because the somebody could say that your second baby wasn't planned and not say it in a malicious way. So that's why it's like if this person has only been known to be a good person to you, who is this information coming from and why did they feel they need to bring it to you? That's why I would.
G
I also think there's more to the second baby wasn't planned thing. Like, I just think there's more to that story and that's how they know that that said said that because she was the only one that knew the information about it. But usually I don't know, is it the New Yorker and all of us, we don't trust any nice people. And I still stick with that. Those always be the ones that be shady talking behind your back, those nice, in your face, supportive ass people.
Rory
Not always, usually.
G
I bet she goes to church. I can guarantee that that woman goes to church. Without a doubt, that is a church going woman that has supported that couple.
Damaris
Those are the most judgmental people.
G
100.
Damaris
Yeah.
G
So I can guarantee the probably goes to Joel Osteen's church there in Texas, right? Yeah, she probably goes to that scam. She probably flown on his jet from Dallas to Austin.
Rory
Okay.
G
Through the ozone. Just wait. Just wasting up gas in the Lord's name though. He had to get there to preach the word. I mean, I would. I wouldn't say confront her, but ask her. Someone said this even going to a positive, I don't think you would say some like that, but this is what someone told me. Did you say it?
Damaris
That's how you would leave with it? I don't think you would say this, but somebody told me you said this.
G
She's shady, so I gotta leave with shade.
Damaris
That's a good way to lead into it. I don't believe you said this, but they're saying you said this. Yeah, I'm hearing you said this, but.
G
No, I get that you're at the age that. Yeah, I'm not going back and forth with people like it's easier just to cut off. But if that's somebody like that you considered a friend. Yeah. Talk to him. Maybe they didn't say that. Maybe the person that brought you the information is. Is a weirdo. Could be that.
Rory
Yeah, that's what I'm thinking. Because if I. Like, even if somebody did say that to me, I'm not bringing that to my friends at a time where like they're celebrating like their happiness. Like I'm. That's drama. Why are you bringing drama to my doorstep? You seem like you want drama.
G
Yeah, but I'd still want my friend to say that because I don't know if I want that person around my kid. If they're talking about my kid.
Damaris
Kid.
Rory
I mean, but they're not talking about your kid.
G
They're talking about you by proxy. It's, it's. It's sort of there.
Rory
I hate when people do that. Like you talking about my kid. I said you don't feed your kid. I'm not talking about your kid.
G
Wait, all right.
Rory
Talking about you.
G
No, I'm talking about you like.
Rory
Oh, you said my kid like is in like a. A poor public school. I'm not talking about your kid. I'm talking about you. You are the one that have her in that shitty school with the shitty graduation rate. Like it's. I hate when people say that. Like you talking about my kid like you make me seem like an animal. Like, I'm talking about your kid. I'm not talking about your kid. I'm talking about about you. But yeah, I get what you're saying.
G
I would confront too honestly or I mean, look at your wife and say, I stay out of women's business, you handle it. Wait, no, I thought we supposed to stay out of women's business though.
Damaris
No, we are, but that's.
G
I thought that was the whole.
Damaris
That's just not a good way to go about it.
G
Okay.
Damaris
Yeah.
G
Did I. Did I tell you you guys on Mike of how I already up at daycare with. With Amar's teachers. They're all very nice, you know, they give like give you the rundown of the day, how everything went. They said Amar kicked a kid in the face and nice and without even has it like just blurted out. Didn't even think in my head. I said what the kid do when I say those two teachers looked at me with such disgust.
Damaris
It's a valid question.
G
Like. And I. After I said it, like, I caught myself, like, why did I just say that out loud? Yes, we'll work on it.
Damaris
But what did he do?
G
They were doing the sensory thing and I don't know. Mara wanted to put her hand in the sand.
Damaris
So it wasn't intentional?
G
No, no, no. He wouldn't let her. And then she kicked him.
Damaris
That's valid.
G
That's what I was on that side. You're not allowed to say that at a daycare.
Damaris
It's 2025 Trump.
G
They'll alienate me from the. The daycare group chat. Yeah, you want.
Damaris
I bet they're lesbians.
G
You want to see a group of losers, bunch of men on a Saturday, just. Just running down what they're doing for the day. I don't even know what these fathers look like. But we're just. Yeah, we're in like a. A WhatsApp group. Me. All the parents that go to this.
Damaris
Daycare, is that for like, if the kids or something happens, we just like, the parents know each other.
G
Yeah. And like, you know, sometimes they'll be. Be birthdays or like kids that get along and then they just throw in the group chat too. I'm not calling them losers. I'm saying we're all losers. Like. Like if I have a sale at Old Navy, I'm putting it in that group chat. But like, I'm telling them. Yeah, go there now.
Damaris
That's a new thing, though, putting all the parents in a group chat.
G
Yeah, I was thrown off. I was like the last one in the group.
Damaris
Yeah, but, you know, and then what. What if you, like, decide to leave? Does it just says Rory left the chat?
G
Probably.
Damaris
Yeah.
G
Yeah, that happens. On what?
Damaris
Yeah, Rory left the group.
G
But, like, you'd have to figure out why somebody left. Like, are you, like, did you leave Parenthood? Like, why did you leave?
Damaris
I just don't want to talk to y'. All. I don't want to talk.
G
But, no, Like, I see you and your kid at daycare.
Damaris
Yeah.
G
Like, you're still at the daycare. You're still a dad.
Damaris
Why see me at daycare? I don't want to talk to y' all on a Saturday or on a Sunday. See me at daycare. My kid kicked your kid. We'll talk about it Monday.
G
Yeah, and. And I felt like they were sn Engine.
Damaris
Why?
G
Like, that should. That's daycare business. Hold that down.
Damaris
That's true.
G
Like, yeah, look what you're teaching them.
Damaris
Yeah.
G
Nobody likes to test.
Damaris
It's good that Amara's, you know, showing that assertiveness. Like, yo, don't tell me what I can and can't do. Take this size three to the face.
G
And. And I think it's nice of Amaro. How'd you know her size? I do appreciate that when she does push, she says push before.
Damaris
For.
G
It's like, you know it's coming. Oh, and then she'll go. That's what I'm saying. Like, yeah, she's calling out, giving other kids a chance. Left hook.
Damaris
I'm giving you the opportunity to prepare for it.
G
It's like Mortal Kombat. Like, you get your catchphrase before you know the move is coming.
Damaris
She. Listen, man, you're doing a great job, man. Like, teaching her.
G
Well, it was a scorpion. He said, get over here and get over here. Like, he gave you a shot for you.
Damaris
Either you jump or duck. Either way, it's happening. Like, either way, it's happening.
G
What was the Street Fighter? Kadugan or what was that?
Damaris
Hadouken?
G
Yeah, come on.
Damaris
You knew. What?
G
You knew it was coming.
Damaris
You knew the Haduken was coming.
G
Yeah, that's.
Damaris
That's. That's push.
G
Yeah, but, I mean, apparently you're a bad parent. If I was victim, blaming is what I was doing.
Damaris
Yes. It's okay. But, you know, good job, Amar.
G
And, I mean, she was wearing Crocs, and it was a boy.
Damaris
Were they in sport mode?
G
Oh, yeah.
Damaris
Oh, yeah. That hurt.
Rory
Words.
G
Yeah.
Damaris
You get that heel.
G
And Amara, for some reason, likes to wear her Crocs on opposite feet. I don't know if it gives her more like, leverage with the kick, but.
Damaris
Turn corners pretty well.
G
Imagine walking in daycare. You just see Amara hit a corner.
Damaris
Yeah. On the wrong feet. Hit that corner really well.
G
Yeah, like the sbs.
Damaris
Yeah, exactly.
G
Well, anyways, do you have any advice for this gentleman?
Damaris
Gentlemen?
G
Besides stay at a women's business?
Damaris
No, that's the safest advice. That's probably the most helpful advice. Yeah. Let this. Let his lady handle it.
G
I'm with you.
Damaris
He can't do nothing with that. Let his lady handle it.
G
Josh, we have any more voicemails, or is that it? You know.
Caller
I said you're. What's going on, y'.
Rory
All.
Caller
Charlotte, North Carolina. Make sure y' all come back when y' all get a chance, man. We with Shout Out, y'.
Damaris
All.
Caller
So I'm getting straight to the point. I know my last question was kind of crazy and whatnot. Maybe you couldn't relate, but maybe this one might hit a little bit home, help me work through the situation. So I started talking to this woman in January. She was in an abusive relationship. We've been together for about six months now. And I done everything to make sure she felt loved. I don't whoop the baby daddy ass ass, shout out this situation and stuff. Things are supposed to be good now, but she keep on underappreciating me. And I feel like as times and she got more comfortable, she got more comfortable with disrespecting me. And that's really, like, my biggest thing. Like, everything else is kind of good with her, but, like, the disrespect and feeling unappreciated is kind of where I draw the line. And I feel like she got, like, a warped sense of reality. She like to use the term under delivery at times and the marriage. I heard what you saying, but, baby, I don't make 150k, but I make pretty close. And the 6 months I don't been with her, just on our cash app, I don't send her over $14,000. No cap. Like, y' all can call me. I can show you this shit. So basically my question is, is am I under delivering and do I need to set my shit up, or should I just let this person to go and they was just using me to get off.
G
So basically, you fully understand.
Damaris
Yeah, maybe.
G
Maybe, like, oh, that guy maybe had a point.
Damaris
All right, all right, listen, just a brief. It's a real thing.
Rory
Let's relax.
Damaris
It's a real thing.
G
We're not making jokes. Everything was bleeped.
Damaris
Out.
G
No one knows what we even just said. Yeah, leave, leave.
Damaris
Yeah, that's the same.
G
Oh, yeah. I don't even, like. I don't know if we have to overthink this one.
Damaris
Yeah.
G
If you don't feel appreciative, feel like she's disrespecting you.
Damaris
Leave.
G
Almost caught a charge over this chick.
Damaris
That cat must be good.
G
Yeah.
Damaris
Go through all of that, and they sending money, and then now they calling voicemails. Ma, you need us to tell you a cat good man. He calling. He leaving a voicemail. Trying to figure it out. Mama, if I'm sending a woman $14,000 in a year on cash app, just, you know, whatever. Help out with her six months bills, whatever. Six months, help out with her bills, things like that, whatever. And then I gotta beat her baby daddy's ass because he disrespecting her. And now I'm calling, seeing what I should do. Like, he calling us to see that cat is good, man. Cause he don't want to leave. He don't. He don't want to leave. Like, he just. He want to see if he tripping or not. So he calling us.
G
He called. Cause he knows he's tripping.
Damaris
Yeah. He calling us a CEO. Am I tripping? Tripping? Well, yes, you're tripping. But if the cat is as good as it seems it is, then, you know, I understand why you tripping.
G
And a 14K in Charlotte, that's like a down payment on a mansion. That's a lot of money in Charlotte.
Damaris
Yo. Charlotte. Charlotte's not as New York, but it's.
Rory
Charlotte is getting up there, baby. It ain't cheap no more.
G
All right, but if you're, like, 30 minutes outside of Charlotte, you could definitely buy. Oh, like a true family.
Damaris
Absolutely.
Rory
I feel like you should check her firmly. Don't put your hands on her, obviously, but check her firmly. And what's a firm?
Damaris
What's a firm?
Rory
Check a firm. Sit down at y'.
Damaris
All.
Rory
I could leave, and you can be right here. Or you could go back to. You could leave me. I could leave you, and you go back to what. What the. You had before. But I'm not gonna deal with you talking to me like this. I'm not gonna deal with you being unappreciative of the shit that I do for you. Say it just like that yet. And if she doesn't respond well to that or change her behavior. Go and get the. But I think that you should check her because she might think because you not mopping the floor with her and knocking her head in between the washer and dryer that she can skate on you. And usually if you put your foot down, like will change, but if you don't, then just leave. If she don't respond, just leave. But I could tell you really, really like her. So give her a chance to communicate how you feel. Like, really communicate firmly. Not.
Damaris
Not.
Rory
Like sometimes you'll communicate and it'll.
G
It'll.
Rory
Like people will brush past it because they don't know how serious you are about it. They don't know how close to leaving you are. But n. Put your foot down and if she still step on that, take that same foot, put it in a shoe and walk out the door.
G
Man, a few months in and she's already being disrespectful, not appreciating you. Do you think, like, it's going to change? N. In three years she'll. She'll respect me?
Damaris
Yeah.
G
Like this, this, this early into a relationship. Let's say they were together for. For three years and then it got a little weird. You can work on that because there's an example of this working before six months. Is this not working? Leave like, cut your losses.
Damaris
Cat too good.
G
You've been to Charlotte, North Carolina.
Damaris
Good cat.
G
She's the only one that has good in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Damaris
Good cat.
G
I can assure you that that's not the case.
Rory
Maybe he like her for more than just her. First of all, let's not reduce her down.
G
He likes her because she disappears, disrespects him and doesn't appreciate him.
Rory
No, obviously he. Before she started doing that, he liked her for something else. Like, he obviously likes her. He likes.
Damaris
I mean, she's pretty, she's cool. You know what I'm saying? They get along. And now that they. Six months in and he had to beat the baby daddy's ass and he's sending her money to help with her bills and things like that. Now he's here he is on the voicemails trying to figure it out if he. If the puss. If the cat wasn't good, he would be gone.
Rory
I'm not saying that the cat isn't good. I'm saying let's not reduce women like women. Let's not just reduce it down to them only, like liking them for their just.
G
No, we're saying he only likes her for.
Rory
How do you know that?
G
Because he's being disrespected. Gave her 14 grand, almost caught a misdemeanor charge.
Rory
Mad with great personalities. That can be disrespectful. That means nothing. Like, you can have a great personality and still be disrespectful. There's duality here.
Damaris
That's true.
Rory
Like. Like, I'm sure he likes her for other things other than her and her just being shitty to him. I don't think that that's helps, though.
Damaris
When the cat good. You overlook a lot of that. You overlook a lot of disrespect when you know that cat good. Like, damn, she. She playing. She talking crazy to me.
G
I'm not letting Damaris get this up. Well, when a man is in an awful situation, what is the only thing that usually keeps him there? She's funny.
Damaris
No, that never.
G
That is great.
Damaris
Yeah. That kept me. Yeah.
G
Yeah.
Damaris
That warm cat. Cat on a fall night.
G
You sitting there and you're like, she don't even mean that. Disrespectful. Yeah, she just in one of those moods today.
Damaris
Nah, if the cat too good, you start saying shit about yourself. Like, you know what? I do be tripping sometimes. I do be in here kind of tripping sometimes. But if it ain't you, like, I'm out. Like, I ain't gotta do this. Same with women, though. Like, y' all leave. Y'. All. Like, you know what? Like, outta here. Like, I'm not dealing with this. Like, if it ain't good, I'm out.
G
All right, let's say. Say you beat the brakes off your girl's baby father. Like, in a very heroic movie, like Texas Walker, Ranger, whatever. That guy.
Damaris
Everything you throw just lands.
G
Yeah. Like it was one of those. Like you even surprised yourself it went that well.
Damaris
Yeah.
G
How would you want to be appreciative that minute afterwards? Like, what should she be doing for you that evening? Red Lobster?
Damaris
The whole.
G
Because don't give me the same head you gave me before I beat your baby father up. We have to figure something else out.
Rory
Red Lobster got crab boils now, though.
Damaris
See, I don't want that shit.
G
It's owned by a young black entrepreneur.
Damaris
Now, no shout outs to him. He's doing a great job. But, yeah, I don't want that. Cool. Yeah, maybe a threesome.
G
That seems right.
Damaris
Yeah. If I beat your baby dad ass. Yeah. Call your cute friend over here, the one that can keep coming over here on Sundays unannounced while I'm here trying to sleep.
G
Cuz that's how easy it usually is, right? Keep friends. Hit her up. Like, I've been waiting for you guys to call me the.
Damaris
Yeah, you keep Coming over here Sunday. You keep coming over here? Yeah. Why you keep coming over here early on Sundays? Why you here at 11:30 on a Sunday?
Rory
Coming home from church.
Damaris
You coming here from church? You coming to my house from church? Yeah.
Rory
Y' all got good snack?
Damaris
We got. I got some. I got a snack in here for you. Come in this. Come in this bedroom and get this snack. Get this. Get this Dunkaroo.
G
Come munch this lunch. Come get this Dunkaroo.
Rory
Is you old as, by the way.
G
Like, you really just explored swirl kind too?
Damaris
Yeah. Go get this dunkaroo. It's 11:30 on the Sunday. You keep coming to my house n. We ain't doing that. The game not even on yet. Why you in my house?
G
She was. She was respecting that you could have the threesome before the game, so you didn't miss a quarter.
Damaris
Yeah, but come on, man. You keep coming over here early on a Sunday. She pretty, too. Like, what's up, man? What you want? Why you. Every Sunday I wake up before you in my house. What you here for?
G
Well, you must have really been through this.
Rory
You a little bit too.
Damaris
Yeah. Why you. Why she keep coming over here?
G
What's more disrespectful, Having the new boyfriend beat you up or that they probably went back to her crib where your child is?
Damaris
Wait, what? Really?
G
What is more disrespectful? Getting beat up by your ex's new boyfriend?
Damaris
Okay.
G
Or the fact that they probably went back home to her house where your child is. Don't whoop my ass and then go see. See my kid n your ass and.
Rory
Then poop your ass and then leave you with the kid for the weekend?
Damaris
Nah, that's. Either way. That's wild. That is crazy.
G
North Carolina has some relaxed gun laws too, right?
Damaris
Oh, absolutely.
G
Yeah. Okay.
Damaris
Yeah.
G
Yeah. Sir, check your rear view, man. Maybe you. You should get out of. Get the. Out of this situation.
Damaris
Yeah.
G
That 14 grand could have went to some. Some firearms.
Damaris
Hopefully he, you know, he is with a woman that appreciates him and, you know, they just going through a rough spot. Six months is still early.
G
Very early.
Damaris
That's early.
Rory
But that's. I mean, but if she just got disrespectful after six months, I don't think she's a disrespectful person. It could be something else going on.
Damaris
Like, so, yeah, he just tell her he got to. We got to hear from her. Yeah, like, I hear you, homie. It's all good. But, like, we got to hear from her. Like, why Is she being disrespectful? What you doing? Like, let's hear her side of the story.
G
And I'd like to hear from him what he thinks being appreciated is. Yeah, because she could be appreciating the shit out of him, but he just.
Damaris
He don't know what it is.
G
You don't know what that is. Or. Or he thinks being appreciated is like, all right, how come we haven't fucked your cute homegirl yet? He may view it, his appreciation for maybe some wild.
Damaris
Yeah, yeah, I don't feel appreciated.
G
Yeah, like, why haven't you let me.
Damaris
A bunch of other women.
G
Look what I've done for you. Yeah, he could be one of those.
Damaris
Well, stop sending her money. That'll fix it. See how she start acting. See how she started acting once that money stopped coming through, once that wire stopped hitting.
Rory
You wanted to go from disrespectful to super disrespectful.
Damaris
Like, she ain't. She ain't appreciating him. And he. You know what I'm saying? He doing his part. He helping out. Out. You know what I mean? And she ain't being appreciative. Then he got to you. I mean, stop being so. So helpful.
Rory
Well, sometimes money isn't everything. Sometimes I could be asking you to do simple and you sending me money simple.
Damaris
Like what?
Rory
What Lotto said. Lotto said I asked for more reassurance and affection. You went and bought me a necklace. Like. Like, I. I want this. And you're just giving me this because this is the only way that you know how to show that you care about me. And it's like, I don't want that. I want you to do the dish. Dishes. That's what I want. So, yes, even though you said, I.
Damaris
Want you to do the dishes, I.
Rory
Want you to do the. I want you to help me with the dishes one time.
G
Wait, so you mean I could save 14 grand and just go clean the plates?
Rory
No, you both. Both of them. Duality.
Damaris
Just when you thought you had women figured out, Roy. Just when you thought, nah, just do the dishes.
Rory
Nah. Duality. Duality. But I'm just saying.
Damaris
Do the dishes if.
Rory
I'm asking you if I'm nothing like.
Damaris
A woman coming home to a clean house. You come home your cleaned the whole spot.
Rory
Ride through the mattress. Won't even make it to the mattress through the sofa.
G
I have not been appreciative. Mopping my ass off all the time.
Damaris
Very dem.
Rory
You look like you mop like you look like you look like, if I told you to clean, you would go mop. Like, you would pull out the mop. Wouldn't sweep first or nothing. Just pull out the mop.
Damaris
Nah, not sweeping first. Yo, mopping a dirty floor, like with dust and every. That is. Wow, cheese doodles. And you just mopping it.
G
You have, you have to sweep, then do the sw. Swiffer as well. You got a double sweep to make sure you get all that. Then you can mop.
Damaris
Not just vacuum and then mop twice. But the water got to be like balling hot. Like, I boil the water.
Rory
I boil the water too.
Damaris
Yeah.
G
One of my summer jobs was to like cut the grass at the parks and. And then we also had to clean.
Damaris
The bathrooms at the park. Yeah, I'm sorry you had to go through that, man. Yeah, that's like work release. That's like, you know, criminal murderers.
G
It paid really, really well.
Damaris
Like that.
G
No, it paid really well.
Damaris
Killed somebody, got to clean the park bathroom.
G
I mean, everything else was easy because I got like cutting the grass and weed whack. And that was you throwing headphones. You get through a eight hour day. Yeah, it was just those weeks when you had to go and clean. But I'm a mop specialist because of it. You think I can't clean my hardwood.
Damaris
Floors when I was cleaning the park?
G
Like, moving a homeless man.
Damaris
What's the nastiest shit you ever seen in the park bath bathroom?
G
I mean, probably everywhere but the toilet. Yeah, like, that's probably. Which was like, actually pretty common, to be quite honest.
Damaris
Yeah.
G
And at that point, like, you're really just mopping dirty water and like, it got to a point. And you should never let teenagers do this either. Like, we was just wetting the floor and we was out. Like, we can't clean this. You need like an actual professional to clean this type of. You need a power washer to clean this. Like, you gave me a mop.
Damaris
I've never used a park bathroom in my life. Life.
Rory
Me either.
Damaris
And I, I used to be in a park for hours and I. I don't even remember having to pee, as crazy as that sounds. Like we play ball for four hours.
G
Drink wild Gatorade, sweating all it out. That's why.
Damaris
Never had to. I've never used a park bathroom in my. Like, I'm sitting here thinking, like, have I ever even the park bathroom in my hood. I don't even think the. The park bathroom was open. I don't think we could go. Like, that's why I'm like, park Bathroom. Like. Like, if we had to pee, where did we. It was like a little building and there was like, trees. We go behind the building.
Rory
This right here? Yeah, we probably go behind the building.
Damaris
In a park. I've never walked inside of a park bathroom in my life. I've used, like, public pool.
Rory
I've used the pool bathroom.
Damaris
I mean, you got to go there to change, like, take your wet trunks off when you leaving and all that. But I don't even think I've ever, like, used the bathroom in a pool bathroom.
G
Like, listen, man, I ran track. I've used parking lot.
Damaris
It's crazy how your bladder, like, will hold up. Like when you, like, playing in the park. Like, your bladder will hold up when.
Rory
You in danger of sepsis.
G
Your bladder keeps.
Damaris
But as soon as I get off a flight, ooh, wee. I gotta go. I gotta go. As soon as I get off the flight, I'm going to the bathroom to take a piss. I have to. I don't know what it is. Every time I get off a flight, my first stop is the bathroom.
G
I've pissed in many park bathrooms, but I'm running home. If I have to shit, like, I'll draw a bathroom.
Damaris
You can't shit in a park bathroom. Cause then what you doing after that? You going back to the car court? Take your shitty ass home, man.
Rory
Funky.
Damaris
Yeah. Who in the back?
G
I can assure you I cleaned it.
Damaris
But that's what like, homeless people, like, oh, yeah.
G
If you have a home, everyone the was everywhere but the toilet every time.
Damaris
Yeah. Now you're not in no park bathroom.
G
And then it'd just be wet. You don't know what it's wet from. Like, yeah, those bathrooms were crazy.
Damaris
You know what it's wet from? Heroin, lady. Heroin. How do you miss? Yeah, man. Water.
G
There'd be condoms in there. And then I just be the wondering.
Damaris
Like, condoms in the park.
G
Homeless people. Like, homeless. You might as well just raw, like.
Damaris
Yo, homeless people, stop. Rory.
Rory
Yeah, no, I'm telling him. Homeless people, like, you don't stop getting horny because you don't go home.
Damaris
That's crazy, the thought of that. You don't stop getting horny because you don't have a home. How you horny and you. Oh, yeah, the body is crazy. Make a way horny and you homeless is wild.
G
I don't know, I feel like when, like, you know, people drink alcohol, they get a little horny. I'm sure. Well, I'm sure Hunter Biden can let us know. You probably get horny when you smoke crack.
Rory
Oh, I know you be horny off the crack. I know you be horny off the crack.
G
Just based off those laptop photos. I know Hunter Biden was.
Damaris
Wait, Damaris. How do you know that?
Rory
Because come. Like, think about it. You never thought. I know. Crack sex got be fire. Oh, my God. That's probably how you get addicted. You around and have. You probably try crack and be like, all right, I'm done with the crack. But then you going to have sex off the crack. It's like, nah, I need this again. Regular sex, never going to feel the same off the rock.
Damaris
No, life is never going to feel the same off the rock. That's why they can't get off it. The sex. They want that feeling. All because that high only lasts, like, 10 minutes. That's why crackheads is always, you know, I mean, looking. Looking to get high. But high.
G
Like coke, they say gives you, like ed, right? I mean, not unless you take roe. But don't you get, like, a limp dick off coke?
Damaris
Nah.
G
So you think crack, like, offset the baking soda offsets that? I don't know.
Damaris
I don't know, man. I'm guessing when you smoke it, it's just a difference.
G
First of all, Josh, what website is this Before I read anything? Crack makes orgasms better.
Rory
I told y'. All. N. I told y'.
Damaris
All. Crack cocaine can make it harder to orgasm. If you use it often, cocaine may decrease physical sensitivity while increasing anxiety and irritability. These changes can make it challenging to remain focused on sex and enjoy the moment.
Rory
That's them.
Damaris
I love this next paragraph is safe. Once in a while.
G
Everything in moderation.
Damaris
Everything in moderation. Crack is safe. Biden.gov Biden.gov Vote Hunter Biden.
Rory
That's dare. Dare is telling you it'll make sex better. I feel like it does.
G
I used to smoke weed with our DARE counselor. He's four years older than us. He would show up.
Damaris
Oh, crack increases sexual dysfunction.
Rory
So does Molly and ecstasy for some people. But for the people that it don't, I'm just. I'm just saying, y', all, please don't do drugs.
G
We're not asking for drugs. Made it worse for you.
Damaris
Yeah, I couldn't. I couldn't get a wreck off of my. Sorry.
G
I. I'm the opposite. I walk around like a predator. I got to wear the right pants.
Damaris
My was like. I had no blood in my. I ain't know what was going on. My dick ain't been that small since I was four. Never again. Never again. It Was a rap. Never again.
Rory
Sorry.
Damaris
Took that one time. I said never again.
G
Sitting there explaining to her like, nah, it's never happened.
Damaris
No, she knew that was inside out. She knew. She knew too. We got. No, we got busy a few. Like, 12 hours later. But, like, she knew in the moment. I was like, yo, this is crazy. We was just laughing. That was smur me.
Rory
Yep.
Damaris
I was like, yo, this is wild. I was like, yo, this is some pathetic. This is crazy. Like, but one, you had to talk.
G
And you high, so it's.
Damaris
Yeah, I'm on mileage. We gotta talk. We gotta have a conversation. Yeah. I'm like, this never happens. I was like, I don't know what I'm talking about. Butt ass in the bed like that. I'm like, yo, this never happens. Like, I really don't know. She's like, it's okay. Like, it happens sometime. I was like, yeah, this is. I was like, yeah, the same.
Rory
Wait, was she on Molly too? Yeah, no, I'd have left you.
Damaris
Yeah, but we know we. We finally went to sleep at like 8am and then got up at like 3 and got busy being butt ass.
G
And you can't get hard is hilarious.
Damaris
To me for some reason.
G
Yo, you took your shirt off. Off.
Damaris
I was everything off. Socks. Everything was off. Only thing I had on was lotion. That was. That's all I had on was lotion. It couldn't get a wreck.
G
Start trying to use the lotion, man.
Damaris
I'm sitting there glistening. I'm laying in the bed.
Rory
She was trying. She was trying to suck it, wasn't she?
Damaris
Hell, yeah.
G
Oh, my God.
Damaris
Yeah. I was like, yo, listen, we don't have to do this.
Rory
Like, that ain't even way fuck stand at attention.
Damaris
I was like, yo. I was like, yo, we don't have to do.
G
Dude, I let a girl do that one time and I still scarred from it. Like, she was going for like another two, three minutes. I was like, you can stop now. This is. This is.
Damaris
Yeah, this is. It's pathetic.
G
We just give me a few minutes, like, because we had already.
Damaris
Yeah.
G
And she wanted. Oh again.
Damaris
Oh.
G
So I was like, just give me. And she. I was like, all right, fine. You could try.
Damaris
Yeah.
G
I know my pace. I know my clock. That was the most embarrassing thing. I was just sitting there like. Like, you. This is. You look pathetic. Not just me. And then the more sucking a soft dick. It's just. I don't want that for her.
Damaris
Yeah, that's crazy. That means she like you, though.
G
Yeah. No, we was like, that wasn't some random.
Damaris
Yeah, I mean, she like you.
G
No, she. She was. We was cool enough that she could see. See soft dick often.
Damaris
Oh, once you get old now.
G
Oh. Oh, no. I don't give a fuck. Oh, my God.
Damaris
I don't care. Whatever. Get out if you leaving, yo. I don't care no more. Bye.
G
This is what I have. It's never gonna change.
Damaris
This is it. This is it, man. But thank you, sir. Yeah, you know what he called for? Stop giving her the money.
Rory
Oh, yeah.
G
Oh, yeah. I forgot who we were even talking about. How do we even get there?
Damaris
Stop giving her the money. She'll be fine. She'll straighten up. If not, you'll find somebody better.
G
Yeah. All right, well, this was fun today. Hope everyone has a wonderful, wonderful week. Yeah, that's all I got today.
Damaris
All right, well, we'll talk to y' all soon. Be safe. Be blessed. I'm that he's just Ginger.
G
Peace.
E
