Well, what's funny is our Thursday episode that came out last, well, two Fridays ago, I guess at this point. I left a lot of information out about going to the Jay z Reasonable doubt, 30th anniversary friends and family thing. Left like a huge part of what happened during that entire thing. So let's go back to when two Wednesdays ago.

I go to therapy, I go to the gym. Had a very healthy, great day. I get in the car and I'm going to head to the Jay Z Friends and family pop up, opening. Whatever. You were going to join me as well. I get to the parking garage in Dumbo. I was about like an hour early. I was gonna stop and get food at Dumbo House, you know, it was a nice day. I was gonna look at the water, whatever, chill until the pop up, try to skip traffic, get into the parking garage, park my car. I'm walking up the ramp. I feel a little bit of vertigo. If you guys have remembered over the past, I don't know, like six months, I've told you guys, I've been having like weird vertigo.

I'm wearing glasses. Everyone's like, you're a douchebag. You're wearing sunglasses on the show. I'm like, I can't see lights anymore. Lights is really fucking with me.

I take one step, I have a little bit of vertigo. I was like, oh, fuck. Vertigo. Back, take a right step. The whole fucking world starts violently spinning. No, like to the point I cannot see. Violently spinning. I fall on an oil induced New York City parking garage floor and I lay there hoping to God a car does not come because I'm on a fucking ramp and you probably couldn't see. I'd probably be a speed bump.

Yeah, I would have mistake you for a speed bump if you were laying on a.

Thank God I wasn't wearing yellow. So I'm. I'm grabbing on for dear life on the side of a parking garage floor. It starts to calm down a little bit. I try to stand up, I'm like rocking back and forth. I finally get out of the garage, find a bench, and the whole world starts spinning again. I'm like, what the fuck is going on? Calms down. I somehow stumble into a Starbucks at this point. I don't know who was playing during the day, but the Dumbo streets were completely full outside with whatever country team was playing at the time. It looked like fucking New Orleans in Dumbo.

Yeah.

So I fall into a Starbucks and somehow get my shirt off because I'm sweating profusely. And everything is spinning. Whatever team some Eastern European shit again. I'm in the middle of a stroke, so I'm not paying too much attention. I just look like I've been at a World cup party and I just had a little too much fun. I look like that guy. So I'm laying there, Starbucks, they give me ice. They put on my head. There's a woman shout out to Mary and her son. I know you guys do not listen to the show, but she just kept saying to me, what drugs have you taken?

But that's the question you ask, right?

The whole I'm in the middle of a World cup celebration. So, yes, I look like I'm just some guy that took. Probably did some coke that ended up being fentanyl. And I'm drunk as fuck and I'm trying to form sentences like, I'm not on drugs. I'm not. She's like, did you drink? I was like, I have not drank. So I'm trying to drink water. I throw up twice in the Starbucks. Just throw up. Clearly these employees are used to it. Didn't even bat an eye.

At this point, things have stopped spinning and my mind is relatively clear, but I can't get my body to function at the same time. Like at this point, I'm speaking and I'm like, no, I'm fine. I haven't. I've had no drugs, no alcohol, but I can't like get my fucking legs and arms to move.

So Mary at this point is like, okay. She had been there for like an hour. Like, shout out to her. I wish she did listen to the show so she knows that I wasn't just some fentanyl induced kid that loves soccer. I was having a stroke.

So she ends up leaving. I somehow get my legs to work a little bit. Like I'm starting to come back. It's. It was weird, but cool. So I walk out of the Starbucks bathroom. There's like one of those luxury buildings across the street. I'm like, let me see if I could just walk. I made it. Probably halfway through the crosswalk, everything starts spinning again. End up laying on a bench outside of a luxury building. Throw up two more times, mind you. Like red vomit. I didn't have anything red that day. It's security guard comes out again thinking that I'm some drug infused guy. He said, how about a ginger ale? I said, great, I'm having a stroke.

Took two sips of that shit and projectile vomited everywhere.

So I'm laying on his bench and again now my mind is completely clear, like functioning like it is right now. But I still could not get my legs and arms to work.

So I lay there for, I don't know, maybe another 30 minutes. And I'm like, all right, I have to get like back to my car. Nah, that. You know what, I'll leave my car out. Uber home. Call an Uber. Two minutes. My legs and arms go back to not functioning. So I'm trying to like, hold my phone to tell the Uber driver that I'm. I'm not going to make it to the Uber. That cancels. I wait another 30 minutes. I feel like I'm back to normal. I'm walking a little bit, but I have vertigo. I'm like, all right, let me just walk around, get my bearings and I'll get back in my car and I'll go the home. I didn't realize I walked towards the Jay Z 30th anniversary thing.

I didn't realize in my walk, Jay Z's not even on my mind at this point. I'm just trying to figure out if I'm alive. I see Vaughn, Tata's brother. He goes, yo, where's mall at? And I, I immediately went, holy. I'm here for the Jay Z 30th anniversary. I forgot why I was in Dumbo.

I was like, oh, I have to ask Vaughn what I said. Yeah, I have no idea what I. I said.

So Mahdi walks this way and I'm like, okay, cool. The lights were lower, so I started to feel a little bit better. Rosenberg comes up to me and it's talking about each piece that he's going to buy. What sizes are this, bro? I'm staring into abyss and Rosenberg is like, yo, you want to get the yellow one? I was like, yeah, give me a xl.

Ebro was there. We could have had a full blown conversation. I have no idea what anyone said. Walk what I remember. Pass them. After that conversation, I may have like mid conversation. Walked away from them and didn't realize it. I see Guru and I just give him a pound and keep walking. And Guru goes, since when the fuck do we do that? And gives me a hug and I'm like, oh, what's up, man?

Yeah. Everybody's like, yeah, Rory was definitely. He was high. He was on something for sure.

I immediately get the fuck out of there after that, run into Joey Badass. Have no idea what I said to Joey Badass on the way out. And I try to walk up the hill back to the parking garage, Fall like twice, get to my car. I'm like, I can do it. I made it just to our office and parked outside of our office and slept here for like four hours. Woke up, went home next day. I felt okay. Had a little. I felt weak, a little bit of vertigo. Then we recorded two episodes here. Felt okay. I was like, I'm gonna get checked out tomorrow, Thursdays. And I'm. I'm not advocating for this. This was double me. I should have went to the hospital right away. Yeah, this is just, man, like Thursday, yo. Can't miss two episodes. So I'm like, cool, I'll just go Friday. Friday. I'm like, I have to stop at Target before I get a mora. Then I go get checked Out. I get into Target, hit the target lights. The only way I could describe it was I could only see kaleidoscopes. It's the only thing I could see, like rainbow kaleidoscopes. I fall out in Target. The old woman that they paid $2 an hour in the front to check your receipt was like, are you okay? And it's the brand new one in Jersey City. It's still a little fenty over there. Not to make like it's. It's a little fentanyl over there.

So once again, I think people think I'm just some drug addict.

Lay there till it passes, drive myself to the hospital explaining what happened. And they're like, well, we don't think you had a stroke, but we'll figure out what it is. What drugs are you on? I said, I'm not on any drugs.

[Peach]

Yeah, this can always go back to that.

So they give me a CAT scan right away. By the way, if you've ever been to a hospital and the line was long at the er, just say you're having stroke symptoms. You get right through, get a CAT scan right away. They come in, they're like, we think you had a stroke. I was like, all right, let's do the real test. And then we could figure out what it is then. Then they send like the cooler, younger doctor. He's like, you know, this isn't like a police precinct. It's okay, you can talk to me. No one's gonna say you can't get in trouble. Just tell me the drugs that you're on. I say, you could take my blood, my piss. I am not on any drugs whatsoever. Then the neurologist looks at the CAT scan and like, oh, yeah, get this kid up, up to the other wing. We may need to do surgery right now. At a full blown stroke for two days. And I just kept having more strokes. Whether it be in Target, whether it was on Patreon, with zip, whether I was at the JayZ. Yeah, I just had a marathon of strokes.

So when they.

So when they got you in the. In the room and was, you know, running, giving you the cat skin and like, did they. At any point, did you think that they was gonna have to, like, go in your head?

[Rory Mall]

Yeah. So I was waiting for the MRI because it was backed up to get an mri and they had like, you know, people that were coming from, like, car accidents and were ahead of me, did the MRI and mra and I forgot what the reverse, they call it. But I just sit for an hour and a half in an MRI machine. I've heard about MRIs before. I didn't know that. Your nose can touch the top of it. You can't move for an hour. That was one of the worst things I've ever done. If you're claustrophobic, MRIs are the worst thing. And I found out that Frank Ocean, Blonde, he got all the sounds from the MRI machine. If you've had an mri, go listen to Blonde. The transition on nights is the MRI machine.

Yeah.

[Rory Mall]

The whole time I'm like, I've heard this. I've heard this record before. Are they playing Blonde? If I ever meet Frank Ocean, I'm gonna add, like, have you had an MRI before? Yeah, because all of Blonde is mri sound machine. Like, that's all this is. And it came back and they were like, yeah, you had a couple strokes in the cerebellum. And yeah, they were like, we'll see if the cholesterol medicine can do it, but if not, we'll either have to cut your head open or there was one where they could just go in, like, with like a. I'd still be under whatever the. Is called. Yeah, anesthesia. But they would just like take like a needle thing and like around, like a small rod.

So hopefully that doesn't have to happen. Hopefully with the next week, I'll be fine with the medication. So we'll see. Have a heart monitor, get heart echoes and shit.

Yeah. So they got you on meds and just a heart monitor? Damn. Yeah. I ain't gonna lie. You told me a stroke. I was like. Like, we came in here and we was all just looking at each other like, bro, what?

Well, the funny satisfaction was once they took my urine and all my blood and everything came back lifestyle wise, that had nothing to do with my stroke. Now it's like, oh, it could be a blood disease.

That's what they're leaning to, some type of clotting situation. Because, like, even my dad, like, I don't eat great per se, but I don't eat stroke at 36 years old.

No, no. Right. So, yeah, it's probably something with. With my blood clotting, but yeah, it was. It was a fucking scary few days, man.

That's nothing to fucking play around with, a stroke. I started. I ain't gonna lie. You told me that shit. I think the next day I. I started catching a headache. I said, wait, hold on, man. Like, you know, that's how shit happened. Like, your boy tell you he went through something and you start getting them same type of symptoms. I'm like, yo, listen, man. Like, nah, we both can't be stroking out like this. We can't both be stroking out, bro. Stroking out. But I am happy that they have, you know, some type of control over it. You on meds, they're trying to figure out, yeah, hopefully they won't have to get into your head because that. That type of invasive surgery is crazy.

But, oh, for sure, you know, we

don't want that to happen. So, yeah, gotta make some lifestyle changes. That's all.

But I was in the wing with a lot of people that had strokes that left them with permanent damage. So it's the same. It's the same routine every morning of, like, asking where you are, why you're here, which. Then I have to walk with the walker and the cane. And, like, it was almost scarier to see what it could have become because I have to go through all those steps because I was walking okay. Like. And now again, I have bad vertigo for sure. But I'm. I'm operating okay. Those steps, dog. Of, like, what this could be.

Yeah. And.

And my roommate John. Yeah, man, that was. It was eye opening to see what could have actually happened.

And no, you shouldn't have a stroke at 36. And it's very alarming. That's why I have the heart. I'm meeting with, you know, all the heart people, too, to make sure it's not affecting that. But the Blessing is at 36, that I can. All the brain cells that died can rebuild them. And, like, it's not like I'm 60.

So, no, I shouldn't have a stroke at 36, but thank God my body can recover at 36 with that shit.
