No, I was trying to get. Well, I was looking for Rory and he wasn't where he was supposed to be. I told him to get ADAC in, so I just stayed there.

I didn't know my limits because I have never been post stroke that I was standing on a chair for an hour. And then I realized, oh, balance. When you're. When you don't have vertigo, it's tough on those plastic chairs. That's why I got lightheaded trying to keep myself up. I was like, yeah, I'm cool.

Okay, that makes sense.

I don't need. I don't need to stand up for encore. I'll just sit there.

They get kind of annoying. Encore. Forever Young. Like, those aren't really that my type of Jay Z music.

Like, I know this is it. Like, and I don't. I don't want to. I don't want to face that as just a fan, as somebody. Like, I don't want to.

We should always be supportive of artists aging and doing what the older rock stars do. But there are only a handful of rock stars that can do that too.

So if hip hop has five, I don't think that's that crazy outside of other genres because yes, you have in soul music, but there are usually like three specific artists from each genre that tour in their 60s and it still looks cool.

I mean at this point with hip hop only being 52 years old, it's Nas and Oath like on a huge scale.

If anything that this, I think this Jay weekend in Yankee Stadium showed us is that the Internet is full of shit. And the Internet is a very small corner, a very small group of people with opinions that really don't mean shit. Of course, because so many people, you know, Jay is old, he's washed, and, you know, nobody cares and this and that. Whatever people are saying about Jay, you can't name many people that can put that many people in a stadium three consecutive nights and then bring out the people that he brought out. Whether they were performing or just coming as spectators of the show, there's not many people that can do that. So this is, you know, let this be a testament to anybody out there that's, you know, trying to do something, to create something. And, you know, if the Internet is telling you, you know, you're not this, you're not that, it's not good enough. It's a very small group of people with very small opinions that sometimes just find themselves congregating on the Internet to create narratives that don't really mean anything in the grand scheme of things. Because, again, seeing what Jay did this weekend, it's a testament to just, you know, don't believe everything that you're reading. Don't believe, you know, the naysayers and this, that, and the third, like, at 59 years old, to be able to do what he did, Like, I don't know how anybody didn't see that and doesn't respect that.

I felt like I didn't miss it at all. So salute to you for holding your phone up the entire time. And I know you had to have multiple chargers.

Like Dennis, New York, both being from New York, it just felt like the moment that we thought we would definitely get. But again, you know, Beyonce coming out to do that was like, okay, we'll take it. That works too.

I mean, his first album song ever. Yeah, I think it was cool. Full circle moment. And I mean, selfishly, my first J concert ever was Heart of the City tour with Mary. And I've seen them perform. Can knock the Hustle a bunch of times. So this was kind of, like, cool to get a different look.

Yeah, no, definitely. We'll take it. But I think when we talked about guests, I think we all thought Mary was a for sure.

Just give me one show. I'll catch it all.

Dad does the whole tour. Then when her dad does his 30th anniversary in Yankee Stadium, it's like, you know a song that you put out 30 years before I was born, that

And not only did she do the feeling of keys, she stopped to flex for a second when the camera was there and then caught right back up with the band. Like, she didn't just get off the keys for a second.

If you don't have a daughter, do have a daughter, have a son, have a possible day. You cried. I don't. You don't have to have a kid to, like, not tear up at seeing someone's kid play the keys for one of their best songs from their first album. Like, that's the coolest shit in the world. A lot of times with shows, amas, Billboard Grammys. There needs to be some awards. Bring the Soul Train Awards back. There needs to be some type of award that honors live bands in tours and concerts because they deserve an award for that.

I've never seen incredible job.

I. I've only been around for 36 years, so correct me if I'm wrong, but I've personally never seen a band basically do a DJ set. Like they did a blend tape. How the do you do that as a live. Live music? Yeah, like even, you know, we'll get to other nights. But just mixing in certain Biggie records in Brooklyn's finest, like throwing in like how they Went in and out with different beats. Was like. It was like guru was just DJing.

It was absolutely insane. I loved what they did with no church in the wild. Friend or foe. Doing the first one and 98 together was crazy. Love that. When he brought bleak out for coming to age, they did coming to age 2, I've never seen that perform before. That was crazy.

But the illest moments, and we gotta, you know, salute that is Jay bringing Jazz O out.

Giving him his flowers. I've never heard Jay give credit to anybody for him being who he is and where he's at in his career and in his life as an artist. So for him to give Jazz that honor on stage, I mean, that was incredible. That was a very, like, one of the little moments. Like that, to me, is what make the show to show. And for Jay to do that to Jazz or for Jazz, I thought that was super fire. So shout out to Jay and Jazz for that, because if you know the history of Jay Z. Yeah. You got to know who Jazzo is. And for him to give Jazz those flowers in front of Yankee Stadium like that, I thought that was super dope and super humble. With Jay to do that.

That was the one person that I thought, again, I thought that, you know, Source would have been there too, but he wasn't. We kind of lean toward any New York artist that he has big records with. We kind of thought that they would have been there for that. But, you know, again, things, you know, you don't know where people are in personal spaces and things like that, so it didn't happen. I mean, hopefully him and Foxy are in a good space. But that is somebody. Another one that we thought would have been there.

Yeah. I mean, before we get tonight, too, I will say I'm jealous of everyone that went to this and saw it live. But even on ig, it was great. I have to salute hov. To carry an entire show with that type of album, like, is something I've also never seen. Maybe an illmatic anniversary show. Nas would be up there to carry a stadium with this type of boom bap lyricism and keep everyone intrigued. Like, there's not, like, solidified hit records on Reasonable Doubt. There's cult classics on there, but you saw the difference of what blueprint when things just heightened a bit. That's easy to keep a stadium intrigued with those type of records. Reasonable Doubt, that's very tough. He rapped a lot.

You figured they would have, like, put a red tape on that mic.

But it was really cool to see Pharrell, Jay, and the clips on stage together.

It was because you. Everyone was obviously starting to get tired because at this point, it's 2:30 in the morning. I want to say we got PSA and Empire State of Mind, which was, you know, closing out, and Paris. That closed out the other two shows. Everyone kind of thought it was over and exhausted. That that was like, you know, people that are drunk, they throw up, and then they're ready to rally again. That was New York with Fat Joe and Jadakiss. Everyone like, got a second wind when they came out. Then Jay did Acapella. Dear Summer ended before he said. Before he said the unpart. He said, I'm not gonna say it. Y' all said it did dirt off your shoulder. Lucifer, to me, was. Was. I was waiting for that. That was on my list of records. I really wanted to hear on. On day three, to hear that live and then closed out with. With Encore.

Perfect. Perfect way to end it. And it makes so much more sense now. Just hearing Encore, like, it's just incredible.

So with that set list, Ma, you're still telling me that three wasn't the best show.

I don't know, man. Just night one, to me seemed like, you know, Nas on stage with Jay in Yankee Stadium, Beyonce doing Can't Knock the Hustle Blue playing, Feeling it like it's funny. I get it. But that. Those moments, to me just are just a little.

Yeah. Like, it just was. It just felt like a bigger, you know, moment. The opening shot with B cutting Jay's hair in the empty Yankee Stadium. Like, all of those little things, to me just feel like a better. A better overall night.
