Gods ancient enemy, the dragon, seeks to destroy Gods people, the church, represented by the woman and her offspring. We today are engaged in a cosmic war, a war that has already been won by Jesus, the Lamb who was slain. Our call is to overcome the dragon through our faithful witness to Jesus.

In this message we learn that as followers of Jesus, living in a time of limited evil between Christ's first and second coming, we are called- like John eating the scroll and the two witnesses in sackcloth- to first let God's truth transform us personally before we engage the world. Only a people of humble, self-giving love (rather than responding to evil with evil) can be the kind of witness that turns hearts toward God and sees cities saved before the final trumpet sounds.

In this message, as we study Revelation 8, we will see a powerful picture of God listening to the prayers of His people and responding with action. The sounding trumpets reveal His attentive care and coming justice. They are merciful warnings and wake-up calls meant to shake a broken world, soften hard hearts, and welcome people to repent and turn to God.

In this message, as we study Revelation 7, we will see that Gods people are sealed by His Spirit, meaning they belong to Him and can stand firm through trials and tribulation. Jesus will also point us to a future of great joy, where a countless, diverse people of God will be fully restored, worship Him, and experience His eternal care and comfort. This will give us courage to find joy and hope as we walk through pain, grief and trial in this life.

In this sermon we explore the pervasive "fog of secularism" that keeps us trapped in an immanent frame focused only on careers, entertainment, and fleeting pleasures and how the resurrection of Jesus has the power to burn through that fog with hope, meaning, and the love of God.

In this sermon we explore Revelation 6 and notice how evil intensifiesthrough conquest, violence, injustice, and deathwhen Gods kingdom is advancing. As followers of Jesus we are called to reject the way of the four horsemen and instead follow the way of Jesusthe Lambmarked by humility, love, justice, and peace, even in a world that feels out of control.
