This is an iHeart podcast. Guaranteed Human. One thing I love about summer is how easy everything feels. The days are a little more relaxed and I find myself reaching for the same comfortable go anywhere pieces again and again. And that is why I keep coming back to Quints. They focus on well made essentials that naturally become those everyday staples you actually live in all season long. Quince's 100% European linen pants and shirts are breathable, easy to throw on and the summer upgrade your rotation needs starting at just $34. We need breathable here in Atlanta with this hot weather. So they work. Their tees are soft enough to live in all day and the lightweight cotton sweaters are exactly what you want when summer nights cool down. Everything at Quint's is priced for 50 to 80% less than similar brands. They work directly with ethical factories and cut out the middlemen. So you're paying for exceptional quality, not brand markup. I've become a bit of a quince guy. I'm not gonna lie. I love the 100% European linen relaxed long sleeve shirt. I like this for going out at night. I can't wear a T shirt out to the bar or restaurant. So you throw on this still breathable, great look, bunch of different colors. They even have a few limited edition colors, so I am a fan of that. And it's not just clothing. Quint has become a trusted favorite for everything from home to travel to everyday essentials. So make your summer wardrobe easier. Go to quints.com nodungs for free shipping on your order and 365 day returns. Now available in Canada too. I know we got Canadians listening to this. Good morning sweet world, and welcome to the no dunks podcast. Fanduel. It's Wednesday, July 15, 2026. I'm Je Skeets here in the classic factory and next to B, it's my top shot hot boy Trey Kirby Ayo Ayo over yonder. Making the magic happen a little early here today. Super producer JD Hello. There he is. Here we are. Yes, starting before 10am Eastern. They said it couldn't be done. We said watch this, watch this. Thanks for joining us. On YouTube. Hit the like button. Subscribe podcast listeners, five star ratings and reviews for your boys. A little bit later on this podcast, we're hitting the beach to answer some of your NBA questions that you guys sent in through email, through YouTube, through Twitter, through Blue sky, maybe through Instagram.
Trey Kirby
Yeah, I don't know if we have any technical from Instagram questions right now, but they happen and they've been looking
Je Skeets
for, you know, they're the toughest to like sort of grab. You know what I mean?
Trey Kirby
It's very true. It's hard to copy and paste out
Je Skeets
of that one for sure. It's more frustrating. But thank you to everyone that has so we'll get to those later. But first we start with NBA commissioner Adam Silver saying Tuesday that he remained hopeful the investigation into Kawhi Leonard and the Clippers for alleged salary cap circumvention would conclude this summer. This is what he said. Okay. He added a bunch of other things. He added that the league was not responsible for holding up the trade to the Raptors. He said that was actually on the Raptors and the Clippers for doing that. That wasn't us. In related news, the Athletics Mike Vorkanoff reported yesterday that the Kawhi investigation has grown in scope to include other improper expenses provided by the Clippers to Kawhi as well as a possible second unreported endorsement Deal with a different company. So that's a bit of a notable update here. Maybe provide some context. Context to why the investigation is taking longer than it is. Maybe not at all. But TK this summer is now. Silver hopes to have it wrapped up this summer. Goes till September.
Trey Kirby
That's the question. When do you consider summer over? Is it when the kids go back to school? Is it September 22, which is the first day of autumn this year in 2026? Or is it just before teams have to report to training camps at like the beginning of October? Who knows? Doesn't feel like we're getting an answer quickly.
Je Skeets
No.
Trey Kirby
Adam Silver seems like he doesn't have any idea when this thing is going to end up. Apparently they've talked to Ballmer a couple of times. They've talked to Kawhi. They've talked to Uncle Dennis. Now they're looking into Kawhi's concur spreadsheets to see if his expenses were reimbursed back and forth. There might be another one thrown in there. All this means to me is a lot of smoke, tons and tons of smoke. No smoking gun. They still got nothing. Right now, if there was something that stuck out that the NBA could easily punish the Clippers or Kawhi with, it would be done. But clearly it isn't.
Je Skeets
Yeah. So Silver said, quote, I would say that this can be wrapped up and needs to be wrapped up.
Trey Kirby
I would agree.
Je Skeets
Before next season. Yes. I guess that is now where we've put the deadline. It has to be set up this summer and also before next season. Yeah, no shit. There's a lot of collateral damage here from this ongoing investigation. We've already talked about this a little bit before. Of course, the Raptors, of course the Clippers. Yes. Kawhi himself, Brandon Ingram, Grady Dick, they were traded to LA for Kawhi Leonard or, you know, hasn't been officially called in. But that's a proposed trade. None of this helps. I would say Benedict Matheran, who is a restricted free agent, I would say none of this helps Peyton Watson, who in theory would need the Clippers as a restricted free agent option on the market. You know, potential sign and trade doesn't help. RJ Barrett with the Raptors. He's waiting for a contract extension. Like the waiting game here, it does have an effect not just on Kawhi, but a bunch of other players and maybe even the rest of the league. So there's not much more else to say at this point. We've been frustrated. They've botched this the whole thing is a mess. And I'm with you, though. What? Like, this idea of just, like, continuing to prolong this means, like, what is really there, I guess. Again, this Vorkanoff reporting saying there is a little bit more now is like, oh, okay, does that. Does that now increase the chances that Kawhi himself is penalized for, you know, a fine, missed games, void contract and all that? I don't know.
Trey Kirby
Obviously, that's still a possibility, which is why the Raptors pushed pause on the trade. I think Adam Silver was basically saying this one was on Toronto shutting it down, as it should be, because they would be the ones most adversely affected. The Clippers were involved in it. Kawhi was involved in it. The Raptors were just hanging out over there back in 2019 trying to get Kawhi back. It didn't go their way. They trade for him seven years later and they get punished. Doesn't make sense. So obviously they have to hit the pause button.
Je Skeets
Yeah. Here.
Trey Kirby
But I don't think they were anticipating pressing pause. And it lasts for six or three months. That's crazy. If they aren't able to ascertain what actually happened here. And throwing more and more pieces into the investigation doesn't make me think it's going to end sooner.
Je Skeets
No. Right.
Trey Kirby
Like, you're like, we're just now 10 months in finding new things we might need to talk about. When you read the Mike Vorkanoff report, it's like, even aspiration doesn't seem like they're sure of what happened. Apparently, he talked to 20 different employees who are able to go on the record in different ways here and there. And some of them are like, maybe they circumvented the cap, or maybe Kawhi was just a bad pitch man and we couldn't come up with any good ideas for him, so we decided not to do anything for him. That kind of makes sense to me. Is Kawhi Leonard a good pitch man? No. He might be the worst pitch man in the NBA.
Je Skeets
Right? Yeah.
Trey Kirby
So I don't know. This is just very, very strange. And if I'm a Raptors fan, I would be very upset if this is still taking place. Like, it was so cool to trade for Kawhi Leonard, get back a franchise hero, a guy on Mount Raps more. It increases your chance of making a conference finals. Making a finals. And now you're not sure when he's joining the team, when he's going to be able to practice with the team, and if he's going to be able to play for the team this year. Crazy.
Je Skeets
Yeah. And this goes back to this idea of when they agreed to the trade sort of at the end of June there, the Raptors and Clippers, to the principal of the trade. It's like, yeah, were the Raptors going under the assumption that, okay, this is wrapping up soon and maybe there's not going to be a huge penalty on Kawhi himself, Maybe it's the Clippers that get dinged, if at all, and so they're going to go forward with it. And then when they're about to sign on the dotted line or call it into the league, the league's like, hey, hey, hey, again, I said this before. Read the fine print here, guys like, buyer beware. If you make this deal and then it comes down in Kawhi, that's on you in terms of his, you know, penalized situation. So, you know, what happened there is the thing we're getting at in the week. Was it. Was it the Raptors wanting to be aggressive? Because there are reports that there was another team or two looking at Kawhi. So were the Raptors like, well, we really want them, let's get ahead of that, or were they told misinformation or was it skirted around like, I don't know. We don't know.
Trey Kirby
We don't know.
Je Skeets
Like, we. Everybody thinks Bobby Webster, like, is a. He's a cba, you know, sort of cap nerd, came up through the, the system, so to speak. That way, you know, he's not like willy nilly, like, if this was, I don't know if this is Joe Dumars and the Pelicans, people are like, maybe like, oh, yeah, it makes a little more sense. People don't think that with Bobby Webster and how he runs his front office, so feels like maybe he had one set of information and then as I got closer to being official, wisely was like, I guess, told by the league, something else. And he's like, well, we can't take on that risk. I guess we got to wait.
Trey Kirby
Apparently, that's what happened because, like, you're saying Bobby Webster's connected with the league, starting his career there. Not to mention Larry Tannenbaum at the time was the head of the board of governors. That has changed. But at the time of the trade, that was literally the case. So he would be aware of what sort of investigations are going down. So it's just what happened on that trade call, because there's been reporting that the Clippers weren't told Anything about what's going to happen with regards to Kawhi's contract and the trade. That's fine. They would trade him regardless because this is a good deal for them to get back some sort of a future start to actually turn the corner on this era of the Clippers. The other teams are who would be put off by it. And apparently every other team was put off by it. Not the Raptors. And then when they finally got down to it, it's like, okay, we can't actually do this. This would be ridiculous.
Je Skeets
All parties, though, are seemingly going about business, which is the funny part of this whole thing. Like Kawhi has showed up twice now to things.
Trey Kirby
Yes.
Je Skeets
Kyle Lowry's, you know, press conference for signing his one day deal to retire as a Raptor. He's there in Toronto and then he's there at summer league watching the team, sitting there in the bright neon San Diego Padres hat there, tall hat, taking in the action. And then you've got Ingram and Grady Dick. I think they're. They've been in Vegas, they're around the Clippers. So like they're just sort of going about this like it will eventually happen. And it's just so weird, man.
Trey Kirby
Yes, it's very weird. Everybody is acting as if the trade is going to go through. All of the statements from both teams are like, we're looking forward to this being taken care of Swiftly. And that doesn't feel like it's going to happen. I don't think Swiftly is a 12 month investigation, but wow. I just hope we get a resolution. I hope we get a resolution in July, but I would settle for August.
Je Skeets
Okay.
Trey Kirby
Okay.
Je Skeets
Well, back to that Vorkanoff report there at the Athletic. The Athletic uncovered images of a scrapped marketing campaign for Kawhi that cast him as a character similar to Marvel's Groot. Guess they found out Kawhi liked comic books. And we're like thinking, oh well, maybe there's a tie in there. We make Kawhi like Groot. The whole thing about planting trees to offset carbon footprints, Maybe he's a tree. He barely says anything as it is. That sort of Groot.
Trey Kirby
Like they picked the right superhero, I do believe.
Je Skeets
Right? I guess.
Trey Kirby
So the guy who says one or three different words and is involved with trees, that is the perfect one. But this looks insane.
Je Skeets
These are creepy images we're showing on YouTube.
Trey Kirby
Yeah. This is also. Maybe they found out that Kwai Leonard was a huge Pan's Labyrinth fan.
Je Skeets
Yes. Yeah.
Trey Kirby
Here's the eyeball hands monster. Yeah. Looks a lot more like that disgusting to me, but makes me yearn for the days of old AI slop. That's true.
Je Skeets
I mean, that's like in theory, that's 2019, right?
Trey Kirby
Yeah. This looks like Dolly era slop to me. And who knows? It kind of. I kind of like it and I kind of am terrified by it.
Je Skeets
Yeah. It's terrifying. JD, do you want to weigh in on this being, you know, the, the guy of the group? I don't love it, to be honest.
Trey Kirby
No, it's, it's, it's kind of ice or a night king to me from Game of Thrones.
Je Skeets
Oh, yeah, yeah. If he was blue, I would think that. Yeah, right, right, right. Yeah. I don't love it. I guess. I guess he didn't love it either.
Trey Kirby
I liked it. Eventually they're like, yeah, maybe we should just move on from this. We can't crack the code on what's good for Kawhi Leonard. We tried everything. We put tree hands on his face and it didn't work.
Je Skeets
We tried everything. He won't do anything, man. Just give him his $28 million. Let's move on. Okay. I mean, he's known as the Claw.
Trey Kirby
Like, why not Wolverine, right? He's got. Also good.
Je Skeets
Yeah. I think again, they're leading into the, leading into the, the tree part. Yeah. You know, that part of their company, you know, you gotta keep up that facade. So. Yeah, we'll leave, we'll leave that here. Hopefully like. Okay, yeah. July, August, maybe September. That's still summer to some people.
Trey Kirby
How about a birthday gift for you?
Je Skeets
August 20th.
Trey Kirby
Yeah. Investigation, it's over. Kawhi Leonard, officially a Toronto rap.
Je Skeets
Honestly, Very nice. Yeah, either tassel or my birthday. Sure. That's a little bit before me.
Trey Kirby
Okay, goal.
Je Skeets

Amazon Health AI presents Painful Thoughts why
Trey Kirby
did I search the Internet for answers to my cold? Now I'm stuck down a rabbit hole filled with images of alarmingly graphic source in various stages of ooze. I can clear my search history, but I can never unsee that.
Je Skeets
Don't go down the rabbit hole. Amazon Health AI gets you the right care fast. Healthcare just got less painful. All right, pivoting to the other thing we're waiting for this summer. LeBron James free agency. The saga has stretched into I guess this is like week three. And while his decision should come soon, I think Sham says he's inching closer and closer to a decision. No one is quite sure when we'll find out what team is joining, right? Is it the Cavs? Is it the Warriors? Is it the Heat? Is it the 76ers? Or is it the Wolves? It's. It's feels like it's those five teams. It felt like Shams was saying of those five, the Cavs, the Heat, and I believe the Sixers were the most likely if I have if I remember correctly and maybe the warriors and the Wolves were bumped down. Beyond the timing of this announcement, there's also some wonder as to how LeBron is going to break the news. So with a huge shout out to our guy Robbie Calland at CBS Sports, I thought it'd be fun to try and figure out what option LeBron will choose to break the news this go around and I've even got some odds from a new sports book that popped up. Exciting. Yeah. Skeets duel.
Trey Kirby
Hey, nice. Yeah, yeah, nice.
Je Skeets
Open my own sports book here the last couple of weeks. So how will LeBron announce his free agency decision? I got some odds for you and tk. I want you to chime in on each Hypothetical here. First one, it's the favorite. Minus 200. It's pretty boring to Shams tweet just Shams jumps on Twitter and says LeBron James is going back to Cleveland. LeBron James is going to the Golden State. LeBron James is once again headed to South Beach. You know he's tied with Rich Paul. True, he is our prominent newsbreaker. Yes, he's saying it's inching closer and closer. Maybe that means character by character is getting closer and closer to finishing the tweet. The least exciting of my options here. But what do you think?
Trey Kirby
I think what Tapio says here in the stream team is right. I could have told you that LeBron's getting closer to the decision. That's how time works. Yeah. He has to make a decision soon. This would be disappointing if it comes out via Sham's tweet. If LeBron gets scooped on his own decision by Mr. Sharania out there, you can understand why it's the favorite, though. I understand. I wouldn't. I wouldn't put any money down on this.
Je Skeets
Okay. I wouldn't either. Yeah. And remember, in 2010, we had the decision. Of course, in 2014, it was the Lee Jenkins Sports Illustrated article. And then in 2018, LeBron just went IG with it.
Trey Kirby
Sure.
Je Skeets
So he broke the news himself. So this would be new in terms of LeBron free agency, letting Shams just do it, hopefully. I'm with you, though. You know, look, we get excited about any notification from Shams. Well, we had. And then they get really boring. But this would be big news. Of course. But yeah, we don't want this.
Trey Kirby
Yeah. Sean's did report that teams have been recruiting LeBron by sending voice memos to Rich Paul, which Rich Paul then forwards to LeBron.
Je Skeets
Yes.
Trey Kirby
Rich Paul came out and said, I didn't tell Shams that. So it's not necessarily a direct pipeline. LeBron, rich Shams. There is.
Je Skeets
Right, right.
Trey Kirby
Parts where it can divert there somehow, apparently.
Je Skeets
Okay, well, our second option for how LeBron will break the news. Plus 150 podcast appearance. LeBron is scheduled to be in New York on Thursday and Friday for Fanatics Fest. Okay. The website says, quote, LeBron James is officially returning to Fanatics Fest NYC this year for two days. This is basically like it's sort of Comic Con for sports.
Trey Kirby
Okay.
Je Skeets
It's probably the best way to describe Fanatics Fest. It's like there's a card show. There's always activation, stuff like that. Anyway, on July 16th and 17th, LeBron will kick off his return with a live recording of Mind the Game podcasts featuring special guest host Tyrese Halliburton, plus additional surprise guests throughout the show. So it could be his own podcast, Mind the Game. There's of course, Rich Paul and Max Kellerman's Game over podcast. People said, what if he goes to Golden State? He does it on the Draymond Green podcast or show. So podcast appearance, because there's so many to pick from. Hell, he could come on. No dunks. For all we know. We.
Trey Kirby
I mean, we haven't reached out, but this is our first Courting of the King.
Je Skeets
Hold on. We got to call him. We got to leave a voicemail, a voice message for him.
Trey Kirby
I like that NBA teams are vying for LeBron's basketball servants and all the rest of us podcasters are hoping for his voice on the mic. Yeah, this is my choice. I think it will be a podcast announcement. Will it be on Friday at Fan Fest? I don't know. He is a buddy of fanatics head honcho Michael Rubin. Right. So they have a relationship. New York City, big time. No World cup game that night.
Je Skeets
No, that's true.
Trey Kirby
LeBron could dominate the news cycle for a couple of days until we get to the final on Sunday. I think LeBron could possibly overshadow the third place game in the World Cup. I think he's that big. Bigger than a third place game on Saturday. And I assume it would be on his own podcast. You don't up a platform like that to give it away to somebody else.
Je Skeets
I would agree with that. So you think maybe mind the game podcast. Tyrese Halliburton there chopping it up. It's weird, but that is weird. I'm with you. This is why this is one of the favorites. Plus 150.
Trey Kirby
Yeah. Would he be nervous about going up against the Odyssey opening night?
Je Skeets
Oh, wow.
Trey Kirby
On Friday, July 17?
Je Skeets
I thought about that. I don't know. I don't think so.
Trey Kirby
What? I mean, he. If he ends up going back to Cleveland. What an odyssey for LeBron. Finally returning home.
Je Skeets
The King Synergy.
Trey Kirby
That's literally what the story is about. So that could be the case. I'm doing my own odyssey out here.
Je Skeets
Okay. Okay.
Trey Kirby
I kind of actually like that now.
Je Skeets
Okay.
Trey Kirby
Okay. Yeah, I'm in on podcast appearance. That would be my choice for sure.
Je Skeets
Okay, next one. Summer league appearance plus 650. All right. He has shown up plenty of times courtside to summer league, as a lot of these star guys do. So who's to say, you know, he pulls up again to the Thomas and Max center courtside seat. Hell, maybe the Cox Pavilion. Wow, that'd be crazy. That's a small gym. Sits down with the team's owner, the team's front office, the coaching staff, whatever, and sort of announces it that way almost by tipping his hand with who he's with now. I'll push back on this one maybe. Why? It's +650 if that was the plan. Summer league. You do that the first weekend of summer league. Yes. You don't do that now. Now we're. Now we're into the second week, we're almost starting to.
Trey Kirby
Top prospects are shutting down.
Je Skeets
Exactly. You know, summer league, let's be honest, already sort of lost the buzz because a lot of these top guys are shutting down already. So I think it's unlikely. But your, your thoughts on potential? A veg. A Vegas. Let's just call it Vegas summer league.
Trey Kirby
Doing it in Vegas.
Je Skeets
Yeah.
Trey Kirby
Okay. I think it's possible saying I think if this is what LeBron's plan was going to be, it would have already happened. Though I would love to see him come back and play in summer league for whatever team he joins. Imagine he decides to be a Philadelphia 76ers and I'm going to start by going out and playing the second weekend of summer league.
Je Skeets
Oh, wow. That's how we learn.
Trey Kirby
That would be pretty crazy.
Je Skeets
Tips off. Wow. Okay. Okay. Next one World cup reveal. This one's a Robbie Callan special plus 800. So a lot of people think that LeBron will want to have a day to himself to announce his decision and not share it with. With the World cup conversation. Exactly what you said, Trey. If that's the case, he would in theory announce this Thursday, Friday or next week Monday after the World cup is done. But Robbie wonders, what if LeBron hijacks some of the attention on the World cup, shows up to a game and is wearing team gear for the team he is selecting at the World Cup? Let's say the final on Sunday. Cool. In New York. Oh, conveniently. He'll be there.
Trey Kirby
He'll be there.
Je Skeets
He's there for fanatics fest. I assume he's gonna stick around for that, that final.
Trey Kirby
He hasn't been to a game yet. I don't, I don't remember seeing him in a thing. I mean, he was on vacation for a while.
Je Skeets
Yeah. So, you know, plus 800. Could he announce it? Let's just even say the day of the World Cup. Whether it's silly like showing up in cavs gear up in the press box when they show him on the broadcast. What do you think? Not a chance.
Trey Kirby
No.
Je Skeets
Okay.
Trey Kirby
No, I don't. I don't think LeBron would want to go head to head with the World Cup.
Je Skeets
Okay.
Trey Kirby
Especially not the final.
Je Skeets
Right?
Trey Kirby
Yeah. I don't. I mean, he would not even be the biggest name in the arena, so I can't imagine this is what it's going to be. But I could see him. I do think he'll be there. And I can see us overanalyzing what he's wearing. Like, remember he went to a Yankees game once and hauled up a Yankees cap during the summer of 20. Or maybe it was like in the run up to his summer of 2010 decisions, like, oh, that means he's going to the Yankees. That means he's going to New York, going to the Knicks, not going to go to the Yankees. You know, I think of LeBron being able to be a good athlete in pretty much every sport. I don't know if he's a baseball player.
Je Skeets
I don't think so.
Trey Kirby
Only Michael Jordan can do that. So I don't think the World cup is going to happen, but I do think he will be at the World cup and we will try to figure out what that means.
Je Skeets
Like, if he's wearing a tank top, we might go, oh, he's going to Miami.
Trey Kirby
Sure.
Je Skeets
Yeah, yeah, something like that. What you're thinking he's in a parko. Oh, Cleveland or Minnesota.
Trey Kirby
He's like, in Team USA gear. Oh, Philadelphia, perhaps.
Je Skeets
Oh, okay, interesting. All right, well, what if he just showed up during this World cup final halftime show that apparently has everybody in it. They're saying, like, Shakira, Bieber, Madonna. What's the. The Korean pop band Big One bts.
Trey Kirby
Okay.
Je Skeets
Yeah, this is some big names here. Cool. And he just shows up on stage like, you know, Bad Bunny had a bunch of celebrities. Maybe LeBron's dancing in the back.
Trey Kirby
You're telling me LeBron is the Ricky Martin of the World Cup?
Je Skeets
You said it, not me, man. All right, next one here.
Trey Kirby
Wait a second.
Je Skeets
Yeah.
Trey Kirby
If it ends up being Spain versus Argentina in the final, I think less chance LeBron goes to Adidas. Teams couldn't wear a jersey for either of them.
Je Skeets
Just saying England is.
Trey Kirby
I don't know if England. I think England is maybe Umbrella.
Je Skeets
I think it might be right. Okay. Oh, I hadn't thought about that angle. All right, Next one here on the how LeBron will announce his free agency decision at 4,500. All right, so you can make some coin on this. A golf related Instagram post.
Trey Kirby
Okay.
Je Skeets
Okay. Again, in 2018, LeBron simply posted he was joining the Lakers in an Instagram post. The night free agency opened, Robbie Cuban wondered if LeBron would break the news from the golf course this time. You know, post a clip from the course. Pan over to Steph Curry playing alongside him. Now it's as. It's the Warrior. Something like that.
Trey Kirby
Interesting.
Je Skeets
I want to go one step further because here's what I would propose if I was on LeBron's team and he wanted to do it this way. Here's how you do the clip, right? LeBron's on the golf course. There's nobody else there from any other team. He's got a long putt. I don't know, 20, 25 foot. He's lining it up. He's reading the greens. You know, he's doing the whole thing where he walks around, he walks up, he sinks it. We sort of follow it with the camera a bit. It's a long putt, so it takes a while, the drama builds. It drops. What a putt. Yeah, maybe there's a little pop, then the camera goes up. He goes up to retrieve his ball. He pulls out the ball. It's got the logo of the team. He's going, right.
Trey Kirby
That would be cool.
Je Skeets
Publish it.
Trey Kirby
Yeah, sure, that's possible. What if they go, like, gender reveal mode? LeBron steps up to the tee. He smacks a ball as hard as he can and explodes in a plume of blue and yellow.
Je Skeets
Right?
Trey Kirby
He's a Golden State Warrior.
Je Skeets
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Trey Kirby
I was gonna say it's not out of the realm of possibility if it's golf related. I think it's a guarantee that it's the Golden State Warriors. Steph was like, I really want to play golf with LeBron. He did say that. That guy's a golfer. LeBron is now a golfer. LeBron just had his big golf trip with all of his Cleveland Cavalier guys. It kind of makes sense.
Je Skeets
Hey, look, I know I made these odds, so it's probably illegal for me to bet on these. I like this one. I'm being dead serious here. Plus 4,500 golf related Instagram post.
Trey Kirby
That's not bad.
Je Skeets
It's something. You know, he's really into golf right now. It's him taking. Still controlling the, you know, the news on his own social media accounts. So I think it's in play here. All right, next one. Two more for you at plus 8,000. He waits till Christmas. We're already two weeks into this thing. Three weeks. True. What's another five or six months? He slow plays this. He actually sees how the teams look. He sees how Jaylen Brown is on the Sixers. He sees how LaMelo Ball is with the Wolves. He sees how, you know, good or bad the warriors look and what's going on in Cleveland. And Giannis with my. He just waits, and then you can have a lot of fun with the Christmas angle of it all. Opening presents or something like that. He pulls out the new Jersey. I don't know. He just simply waits till Christmas. Plus 8,000. Your reaction?
Trey Kirby
Yeah. This one's a long shot.
Je Skeets
Yeah.
Trey Kirby
Though I thought it was interesting. I forget who it was. Was saying that the LeBron decision will influence which teams play on Christmas.
Je Skeets
I know. I hadn't thought about that.
Trey Kirby
Mark Stein, I believe.
Je Skeets
I think it was yesterday. That's right. That's right.
Trey Kirby
Exactly. If LeBron is on a team, he will be playing on Christmas.
Je Skeets
So those poor schedule makers are. They're just like. They're waiting.
Trey Kirby
They're waiting. But I mean, which team that he would be going to isn't going to be scheduled to play on Christmas anyways? I think every team he's looking at is a potential like Golden State likely could easily get a Christmas game. Philadelphia versus Boston. Feels like it should be a Christmas game. Miami has Giannis.
Je Skeets
I think Cleveland. I think Cleveland is Cleveland. Lock for a Christmas.
Trey Kirby
Cleveland is not a lock for a Christmas game. I have to agree with you.
Je Skeets
Of course. Would be if he's there.
Trey Kirby
Yes, Definitely true. Okay, so I don't think he's going to wait. But look, the quiet investigation has taken almost a year, so why not take half of a year to decide where you're going to play basketball?
Je Skeets
It's actually. I mean, this is silly, but it is. Would be the smartest thing. Although he would get so much backlash because it'd be so funny. He could just wait to see. See who's the best.
Trey Kirby
Yeah.
Je Skeets
And then go, okay, I'll go. I'll join them and try and get a fifth ring. Yeah.
Trey Kirby
Yes.
Je Skeets
Right.
Trey Kirby
True. And then all the fans could be like, we're playing great. We don't need a LeBron.
Je Skeets
Yeah.
Trey Kirby
It comes back and ruins it.
Je Skeets
Yeah.
Trey Kirby
That would be a definite concern.
Je Skeets
Yeah. Oh, okay. Then flip it on his head. He's like, oh, they are underperforming.
Trey Kirby
They need me.
Je Skeets
Cleveland needs me back.
Trey Kirby
Sure.
Je Skeets
Miami needs me to help figure their things. Yeah. Okay. All right. Final one is at plus 10,000. The decision 2.0. He literally just has another primetime television special. He got, you know, so much widespread backlash for the. For the last one now in large part because of the team he selected and the Big three and Foreman with Wade and Bosch, but he just does it again. Who cares? Jim Gray. I know he's available. He can host it again.
Trey Kirby
Yeah. They brought him back 90s now.
Je Skeets
That's right. Do the exact same thing. So plus 10,000. Pretty unlikely.
Trey Kirby
He did record that Hennessy ad. Right. That was basically like spoofing the decision. So we know he still has a gingham shirt he can put on if need be.
Je Skeets
And didn't we learn that Donovan Mitchell was. Am I crazy or. Donovan Mitchell was a kid when he first announced.
Trey Kirby
I think you're right. Like, he's part of the boys and girls club group that LeBron brought through or something like that. Definitely possible. Do you think people would find it funny or like bringing up old wounds? I kind of think it's the former. Like, I think people would like him poking fun at himself.
Je Skeets
Yeah, Yeah, I think. Well, so if he were to do the decision too. But let's say like, suddenly tomorrow we're like on ESPN schedule, it says the decision 2.0. What team do you think that would mean he's going to. It feels like only. It would only be Cleveland or Miami. In that case, you would think. To me, you would think because you either run it back completely and just go to south beach again, I'm taking my talents.
Trey Kirby
Sure.
Je Skeets
Or it's like, haha. Like that maybe what you wanted the first time.
Trey Kirby
Yes.
Je Skeets
And I'm. I stay in Cleveland that first time. Obviously I left, but now I go back. To me, it would be one of those two teams.
Trey Kirby
I think you're probably right.
Je Skeets
All right. Those are the seven things you can vote on. Or so I guess odds. You can bet they're not real odds that you can propose where he's or how he's going to decide his free agency decision. But you should tell us in the stream team right now in the comments, both on YouTube and Spotify, other ways LeBron could get creative and announce his actual free agency decision.
Trey Kirby
It's a weird time right now. It's like if you're a Warriors fan, you're like, all of the. LeBron has already agreed to come to the Warriors. All of this stuff is just him drumming up interest around. You know, Draymond was talking about him making a recruiting pitch as well. If you're the 76ers, you're like, we had all three of our guys talk to LeBron.
Je Skeets
Yeah, I know.
Trey Kirby
If you're the 76ers, you're also like, our GM played high school basketball against him, so it must be him. The Timberwolves are literally out here, like, begging for LeBron services at this point. LeBron is on top right now, so I feel like he is not in a hurry to decide because this is maybe the longest stretch that we've ever had of LeBron controlling the free agency narrative, which is crazy because it's LeBron.
Je Skeets
Yeah.
Trey Kirby
This guy's been the biggest free agent name every time he's come up.
Je Skeets
Sure.
Trey Kirby
He did a television show. He brought back sports illustrators for a little bit. Yeah. You know, like he has been in control of everything and right now he's just able to take his time and control the narrative and shut down the league for a month at a time if he wants to. Unbelievable.
Je Skeets
He turns 42 years old.
Trey Kirby
December.
Je Skeets
Yep. That's, you know, widely forgotten. So we're part of this, you know.
Trey Kirby
Yes.
Je Skeets
The oldest guy in the league and he still has all this power. All right, let's take a break and when we come back, we'll hit the beach to answer some of your questions. Every goal over to me, JD Every goal changes everything. We'll find that out today here in a Atlanta for England Argentina. Yeah. At the Atlanta Stadium aka Mercedes Benz. And now FanDuel is giving you a reason to root for every single one. Every single goal. Every goal pays. Bet on a match, get bonus bets for every goal scored in said match. That's right. More goals means more bonus bets. And all you have to do is turn on your token. Visit FanDuel.com to get started. Now let there be goals on FanDuel. Let there be goals here in England, Argentina. Pretty fun. I can't remember if you know them, but two kids I coached YMCA basketball for a couple of years ago and remain friends with their family. Two of the boys will be the little guys that come out with the players today in Atlanta. They did all these soccer camps to get on this list to get the opportunity. So I'll be watching early here today. I guess that happens like 10 minutes before the game starts usually.
Trey Kirby
That's probably true.
Je Skeets
That's pretty cool.
Trey Kirby
Yeah. One of the girls friends was one
Je Skeets
of those earlier in the season for an earlier game. Yeah, that's the crazy part of the semifinal. England Argentina is like, you might be able to. One of them could get Messi. I'm like, how do they decide that? I was wondering, is it literally lucky? What do they do a draw for kids?
Trey Kirby
I mean they probably match heights a little bit, right? Like, yeah, maybe depending on age of the kid could be taller than Messi. Like my 11 year old is Messi's size.
Je Skeets
Yeah, yours are.
Trey Kirby
And I know there are kids taller than her.
Je Skeets
Charlie and Connor are not Messi. No, no, they're, they're, they're smaller. A lot of heart out on the basketball floor. Yeah. So anyway, I'll be watching that and I'm sure you will be as well. Well, hold on, you might be. No, no, you'll be getting you'll be at the airport, by the way. I will.
Trey Kirby
I'm hoping it's on at the airport.
Je Skeets
I think.
Trey Kirby
I'm sure it will be.
Je Skeets
Yeah. Yes, yes.
Trey Kirby
I'll probably stream the first half in the car.
Je Skeets
Okay.
Trey Kirby
And then watch the rest at Bobby Flay's Burger Zone or whatever that place is called. Eat Bobby's Burgers.
Je Skeets
That's where you want to take in a World cup game for sure. All right, let's hit the beach. J.D. you got the buzz, I got the rockets, you got the nuts, I got the chocolates. We got that chitchat down pack, blah, blah, blah. You got that certain special genesis. We're on the beach reading your emails or your tweets or your skeets or your IG comments, whatever. First one is from blue sky. It's from disfigured media. Who is the one player you continue to hold out a rational hope for and repeatedly convince yourself that the next destination could be the one? My example, every time Bradley Beal is linked to a new team, I think back to the one season where he almost had the scoring title. And I think Bradley Beal is a microwave guy. So that's a fun question. A player you just continue to hold out hope for even though it's probably not happening. Who's your guy?
Trey Kirby
I think everybody knows that mine is James Harden.
Je Skeets
Yes.
Trey Kirby
I just want to see him lift the Larry Man. Do I actually believe in James Harden? No. For almost 10 years at this point, I don't really believe in him. I guess it was like 2018 when the Rockets had a chance to beat the Warriors. They missed all of their threes in a row. Obviously, at the end of Harden's tenure in Houston, he had like multiple double digit turnover games where he's just throwing it away in the playoffs. And that's when I was like, okay, it's just never going to happen. Yeah, but there's a time during every season when James Harden's team goes like 20 and three. I was like, wait a second. It's not going to happen. But it could happen.
Je Skeets
Yeah. You want it to happen.
Trey Kirby
I want it to happen. And look, if LeBron joins the Cavs, I will talk myself into it eventually. At some point.
Je Skeets
James and James.
Trey Kirby
James and James together.
Je Skeets
Okay.
Trey Kirby
So, yeah, you know James Harden now at 36 years old, he'll be 37 at the start of the season. He's had his best chances for sure. But what if he does it?
Je Skeets
Who do you think would need a championship even at the end of their career? More between Harden and Westbrook to improve a legacy.
Trey Kirby
I think it's Harden.
Je Skeets
I think so, too.
Trey Kirby
Yeah.
Je Skeets
Yeah.
Trey Kirby
I think he's considered a little bit ahead of Westbrook just from like, I mean, how many times had Harden finished top two or three in MVP voting when he was at his.
Je Skeets
I mean, Russ. He got one.
Trey Kirby
Yeah. So did Harden.
Je Skeets
Oh, yeah, yeah.
Trey Kirby
Harden got an MVP, finished top three four straight years. He averaged 36 a game. We knew that when Westbrook won an MVP, there was like no chance his team was going to win the championship. When he assumed his like, highest stat counting, he was not really a championship contender at that point, whereas Harden's teams were. And he was like, Harden was on the second best team in the league against those warriors teams. They've just. You couldn't beat the warriors at the time. Especially. Especially he couldn't. So I think him like, that's that like the capper on his career, especially.
Je Skeets
And the knock on Harden is obviously playoff futility. Yeah. And like stinkers. So if he ever had some big games at the right time, like again, even late in his career to win one, that would be. That would be huge for him. I mean, look, they both could use one. And sure, it doesn't hurt anybody, especially these guys in terms of like, how we'll think about them later on, but yeah, I like the hardened answer. I thought you would go with him. I went with, and I can't believe I'm saying it, Ben Simmons.
Trey Kirby
No way.
Je Skeets
I mean, has he found the joy again?
Trey Kirby
He's not even on a team.
Je Skeets
I know he probably won't even play. I mean, he's talking about it. It's tough, like, it's tough though, not to think, why couldn't he be good still? He was good once upon a time. His whole thing is always like, does he really or had he ever cared about basketball that much? Doesn't feel that way going back to even college. It just doesn't. He doesn't feel like he has it, that he loves basketball, but he's still good because of his size and his skill set and stuff like that. He was. And then of course, it completely falls apart. But, you know, then I see him hit a three pointer in a small gym during the summer without his shirt on. I'm like, oh, yeah, he's back, baby. Tongue in cheek. Do I really believe this? No. But a guy that looks like that and can move like that, at that size, with his passing and his like, his like, it's like it doesn't make sense. It's perplexing. Yeah, but you know, he fell in love with golf. Fishing. Sorry.
Trey Kirby
Fell in love with fishing, went to the bubble, caught a bass, and his life was changed. I don't blame him. But man, is he going to play. We'll see. Will a team take a chance on him?
Je Skeets
Probably not.
Trey Kirby
I was also forecasting into the future. Two guys I think will be my answer for this question in 10 years will be Lamelo Ball and Paolo Banquero.
Je Skeets
Oh, yeah.
Trey Kirby
I'm like, I love the these guys play. I do think they can be winners.
Je Skeets
Those are good ones.
Trey Kirby
But are they going to be tough? We'll see.
Je Skeets
If I. If I'm forecasting, it's obviously Leonard Miller.
Trey Kirby
Sure.
Je Skeets
I'll just be demanding teams, give him a chance. But right now, hey, look, he has an opportunity there on a. On a sort of a bad Bulls team. Oh, that's looking like maybe it'll be a little more exciting now.
Trey Kirby
He can at least jump over Noah Essingay in the pecking order.
Je Skeets
Leonard, you know. Yeah, just, you know, link yourself with obviously Caleb Wilson there and. And Bouzelis. We got something. All right, next one. Dunks. So the NBA has received bids from more than 20 groups vying to participate in NBA Europe, which is the upcoming European basketball league. I can't remember if you guys have already addressed this or not, but are you excited for NBA Europe? Concerned? Couldn't give a damn. I would love to hear your thoughts. That's from Pat, all the way in London. So the news here is that the NBA is finalizing plans with FIBA to launch NBA Europe. It's going to be a 16 team professional league targeting an October 2027 start. So not this coming season, but the next season, I guess. It will feature 12 permanent franchises in major markets and then four spots filled by way of promotion. That's what we know. One of the teams will be in London. There's no doubt. So maybe Pat's excited about it. What about Trey Kirby?
Trey Kirby
NBA Europe for me, I'm Don Draper and NBA Europe is Ginsburg. I don't think about it at all, but no offense,
Je Skeets
I recently watched it, so I got it. I hate Mad Men. Oh, yeah.
Trey Kirby
No, I don't. I just think it's supremely overrated. That came at a great time. Yeah. Yeah. Before there was multiple good shows on tv.
Je Skeets
Okay.
Trey Kirby
But I really don't. And I'm like, do you think about Euroleague at all? No.
Je Skeets
No.
Trey Kirby
And that's what it is for me. The only thing that I do think it's Interesting. Like to see how close they're getting to launching here. It looks like 12 permanent teams for promotion spots. Teams are coming through with multiple billion dollar bids, according to Adam Silver, who just hired Arturos Karnish to help with the launch. Over in Europe. Like, best thing I can say is that hopefully this league is successful and it can turn into like a global tournament between NBA North America versus NBA Europe. I think that would be exciting to see the.
Je Skeets
I guess if you want to call them, the permanent franchises in the major markets, like I said, it's looking like London, Manchester, Paris, Leon, Madrid, Barcelona, Berlin, Munich, Milan, Rome, Istanbul and then Athens in Greece. Those are the 12 major markets. And then we've been told that European teams could earn the right to compete in NBA Europe by winning a tournament or winning FIBA's Basketball Champions League. I think that is cool. Yeah. Like, I do like this idea. I guess it sounds like, well, like, will that involve the potential of relegation or like also being into this league? That's fascinating to me. Yeah, it's a bit of a wait and see. But I do wonder if no dunk should plant their flag early here on NBA Europe because they're going to want to promote it, right? They're going to want to build it, especially here stateside. Could see a lot of trips for us in the coming future. Some of these beautiful cities, you know. You know, sure, I'd like to go to some of these places, watch some basketball, take in the sights and sounds. So anyway, yeah, they. Look, there's no doubt the NBA sees a huge financial model here in business here and just there, as they've said, even like there's a lot of money being left on the table with the way Euroleague is run, stuff like that. So let's do it ourselves. And franchise sales and investments and media rights agreements and all this stuff, sales and merchandise and all this stuff, ticket sales. So, yeah, we'll see. We'll see. NBA Europe. I wonder if that's what they're just going to call it.
Trey Kirby
Probably.
Je Skeets
Yeah, I guess so.
Trey Kirby
Keep NFL was right. NFL Europe, way back in the day.
Je Skeets
Yeah, right. Good point.
Trey Kirby
I don't know. Am I gonna follow NBA Europe?
Je Skeets
Oh, I don't know.
Trey Kirby
I'm not going to, I'll tell you that much right now. I just, I will not care enough. But the timing will be nice because like, what, they're like five or six hours ahead of us? Yeah.
Je Skeets
Daytime basketball.
Trey Kirby
Well, that's, that's good and bad. You're telling me. I'm gonna be watching basketball from 4pm
Je Skeets
till 2am A lot more basketball. Yeah, yeah, we'll see. Well, having the World cup on, it's
Trey Kirby
nice having a game on and that's for sure. 3:00pm Absolutely. It's great.
Je Skeets
Yeah. All right, NBA Europe, let's hear your thoughts.
Trey Kirby
That's here. That's literally here. But they're playing it at 3pm for some reason.
Je Skeets
Yeah, yeah, yeah. It's so everybody in Europe can watch it at a more prime time time. All right, next one. This one caught me by surprise so I had to include it. This is by or from YouTube? Aximus11 if WEMBY is guaranteed to be a Hall of Famer, why can't Anthony Edwards be one? Every single year he has added something to his game. He went from shooting 34% and being a non shooter in college to being the best or second best shooter in the NBA. He went from a terrible mid range shooter to a very good one. If he can level up like this, what is Anthony Edwards ceiling and why does no one see this stuff that he's improving? So we have an Ant fan here in the YouTube comments saying, look, we talk about Wemby's future Hall of Fame case. Why not Anthony Edwards? To which Trey Kirby says, doesn't everybody
Trey Kirby
think Anthony Edwards is going to be a Hall of Famer?
Je Skeets
I would think so, yeah. Yeah.
Trey Kirby
He's already third all time in scoring for the Timberwolves. Like this is a crazy question to me. I assume that Anthony Edwards is a lock for the hall of Fame. Remember he was drafted number one overall. People realize he's a good player. Multiple time all star. Multiple time all NBA player. He's going to make the hall of Fame.
Je Skeets
He's on his way. Yes, yes. To give you the accolades. Wemby has played only three NBA seasons. He's averaging 23 and 11 with three and a half assists per game and three and a half blocks per game. He's one rookie of the year and defensive player of the year. He made two all star games, two all defensive first teams and one all NBA first team selection. Ant has played twice as long as Wemby. Six full seasons. He's averaging in his career 25 points per game, five boards, four assists. He's made four All Star teams, two All NBA second teams. Ant didn't make it this past year because he didn't hit the 65 game threshold. Came in at like 60 or 61 games played. So it's a good start for both guys. I'm with you on this now. I liked including this because you are right that he definitely worked on things that were like, like seen to be like a limitation of his coming in even as the number one pick and as he's gone in his NBA career here already adding and you know, I don't think he's the best shooter in the NBA. Maybe not even second best. But I get what you're saying takes obviously he's added the three point game, takes a lot of them and and is pretty consistent with it. So yeah, he's on his way, man. Don't worry.
Trey Kirby
I mean Anthony Edwards is going to make 10 plus all star games. Yeah, he's going to be a first ballot hall of Famer.
Je Skeets
Okay, there you go.
Trey Kirby
Basketball reference says 6.5% chance right now. He makes the hall of Fame.
Je Skeets
Yeah, it's like if he retired tomorrow,
Trey Kirby
he ain't making the hall of Fame.
Je Skeets
No, no, no, no.
Trey Kirby
I think he will have a Hall of Fame case in the next five seasons. But it'll be nice to see him get any sort of accolades or accomplishments outside of all star and all NBA which go to 15 to 30 players a year. Like get one of the big ones, get an mvp. Probably not going to be a defensive player of the year, make a Finals. You know, like there are some benchmarks he still has to hit. But I like if you told me Anthony Edwards doesn't make a Finals in his entire career but he plays 15 seasons, I think he'll still be a Hall of Famer.
Je Skeets
Like right now he basically compares just accolades wise similar I guess to like a Trey Young. Right. A lot of all star selections. I don't think Trey's made two all NBA teams. But, but you know, that's sort of the idea here and I'm putting ant above Trey Young. He also has made a couple conference finals. You know, Trey made one, ants made two. There's that. But yeah, he's got a long way to go. Guy averages 25 points per game. I wonder if Anthony Edwards will lead the league in scoring. One year that I don't know, just chucking it out there he was at
Trey Kirby
28 per game this year.
Je Skeets
Yeah, yeah, exactly. Where does he plateau?
Trey Kirby
Does he ever was 33?
Je Skeets
Does he have a 30 point per game season in him? And yeah. Is that even enough in today's game or it feels like there's like four other guys that can do that.
Trey Kirby
I mean he could get. I don't think he'll lead the league in scoring.
Je Skeets
I don't either.
Trey Kirby
Yeah, now that I'm looking at it but he's going to be playing with Lamelo now, so best setup man he's ever played with.
Je Skeets
It's true. True, true, true.
Trey Kirby
But also maybe a guy who takes a bigger share of possessions than he's ever played with. We'll see.
Je Skeets
Everything at Quint's is priced 50 to 80% less than similar brands. They work directly with ethical factories and cut out the middlemen. So you're paying. Paying for exceptional quality, not brand markup. I've become a bit of a quince guy. I'm not gonna lie. I love the 100% European linen relaxed long sleeve shirt. I like this for going out at night. I can't wear a T shirt out to the bar or restaurant. So you throw on this still breathable, great look, bunch of different colors. They even have a few limited edition colors. So I am a fan of that. Trey Kirby
Why is my connection suddenly good? We're trying T Mobile.
Je Skeets

Amazon Health AI Presents Painful Thoughts I I can't stop scratching. Mm, yeah, but I'm not itching to go downtown and tell a receptionist I'm here to talk about my downtown. Some things you'd rather type than say out loud. There's no question too embarrassing for Amazon Health AI. Chat your symptoms and get virtual care 24. 7 Healthcare just got less painful. All right, next one. Have you all seen the Marquis Brownlee YouTube video explaining all the tech and cameras at NBA games? I have not watched this. I don't know about TK and jd, but the most amazing thing to me was showcasing how skilled the cameramen had to be to move the camera around to track the ball while keeping it in focus at that speed and quickly being able to find specific players on the court at the whim of the director. This inspired a beach question what's a technical skill involving a tool or piece of equipment you have had to really try really hard to learn, whether for your job or just personal life. Thanks for a decade of good times. This is from Mr. Verley and Mr. Verley is a high school teacher because he said his answer to this was probably tech support for laptops and tablets, iPad, Mac, Microsoft Surface, Chromebooks, Androids from Samsung or Lenovo. Having to help a kid figure out why they can't upload their assignments or why the slides won't show is so frustrating. But just A thing you need to get good at. That was his answer, Mr. Verley. So is there a technical skill that you just had to learn at least? Well, okay.
Trey Kirby
Something I'm trying to get good at is the sous vide in the kitchen. You know, it, like, cooks things in a hot water bath, for lack of a better word.
Je Skeets
Yep.
Trey Kirby
Like, oh, you gotta get a sous vide. You can make so much delicious food. I've had mine for probably three years, and I don't think I've made anything besides a steak in it. It's a great way to make a steak. You set your test, you let it cook for however long, you bring it out, pat it dry, sear it. Delicious steak.
Je Skeets
It's good. Yeah.
Trey Kirby
But there's got to be something else you can do with this thing. People are like, oh, you can sous vide carrots. They're delicious. I was like, I am not sous videing carrots.
Je Skeets
Yeah. Weird.
Trey Kirby
Not that it wouldn't be good, but it just feels like. It feels like a lot of work to make a carrot.
Je Skeets
Yeah.
Trey Kirby
People are saying a chicken breast is delicious and it'll be the best chicken breast you could ever have. Sure, sure. I believe.
Je Skeets
Very juicy.
Trey Kirby
Yeah, yeah, exactly. But also, like, I'm gonna spend two hours making a chicken breast. That seems crazy to me too. So if you've got an idea on what I can do with my sous vide besides cook a steak two times a year, let me know.
Je Skeets
How long does the steak take?
Trey Kirby
Hours. Oh, like, I'll pop it in for two hours.
Je Skeets
Go do stuff, come back. Wow. I didn't realize it was sort of that long. I don't know.
Trey Kirby
In my head, it's, like, hard to overcook things. Oh, the other thing I've made is a pork tenderloin. Also. Also delicious. Delicious. But there's got to be better uses for this thing.
Je Skeets
Okay, so he's getting his skills up or he wants to learn more. Help Trey out in the comments. JD do you have an answer to this?
Trey Kirby
Literally every piece of equipment in front
Je Skeets
of me right now is constant struggle.
Trey Kirby
But I remember when we were at starters. This is not so much me, it's more Matty O. But getting the starters show onto YouTube. The NBA channel was such an ordeal. Like. Like, Matt actually had to go into code, like, and write code to get it on YouTube for some reason.
Je Skeets
What?
Trey Kirby
I can't remember the exact details, but I swear to God, like, I tapped out at a certain point. I think it took him, like, 200 hours. No exaggeration. To just learn how to do it
Je Skeets
and get it up there. He really was. We got to give Mattio his flowers. The only real reason it ever got up. Up to you.
Trey Kirby
Oh, my God.
Je Skeets
Just, like, he just, like, he's relentless, you know? Because like you said, most people are just like, okay, well, too difficult, I guess. It doesn't go up to YouTube. Oh, no. It's ridiculous.
Trey Kirby
And not only that, convincing them that
Je Skeets
we have to put it on there.
Trey Kirby
That was half of it right there. But the actual technical. And it's so simple to post a YouTube video, right? Like, just give us the goddamn credentials.
Je Skeets
Yeah.
Trey Kirby
At the time, it was stern, but anyway. Yeah, it was insane.
Je Skeets
Yeah. But this job is constantly, like, every. Every year, there's something new we gotta learn, and it's driving me crazy. I. To piggy. To piggyback off your answer. I wrote down Premiere Pro.
Trey Kirby
Yeah.
Je Skeets
Because I'm trying to help with the shorts and stuff like that. And, like, I don't know this. You're killing it.
Trey Kirby
It's not hard.
Je Skeets
Let's be honest. Like, I can do basic stuff, but having you, like, guide me through some things, too, and it is fun. I mean, I'm like, oh, yeah, I went to school for this. I always remind myself, like, I did go to school for this. Not that we were using Premiere Pro.
Trey Kirby
No.
Je Skeets
When we were in school. Don't even think it. I don't even know if it existed at that time. Maybe Question. Maybe we were using Final Cut. Final Cut. Yeah. But Anyway, good question, Mr. Verley, and good luck with the school year. Hey, when does summer end for you, Mr. Versus? That's what I want to know. Depends where you are. Yeah. School. Here they go back to school early August.
Trey Kirby
That's right.
Je Skeets
But in Canada. September. Early September. Yeah. After Labor Day. After Labor Day. All right, next one. Where are we here? Number five. Okay. Hey, no diddly dinks. Oh, that's a good one. Can you give us your Mount Rushmore of NBA basketball shoes? You got to exclude the Jordan ones. We all know those are number one. I was a little shocked by that.
Trey Kirby
But he's right. He's absolutely right.
Je Skeets
Okay, well, good. We'll exclude them.
Trey Kirby
Yeah. Classic Mount Rushmore, where you take off the one thing you know should be there.
Je Skeets
Yeah. Who would come down from the real Mount Rushmore?
Trey Kirby
We're taking down George Washington.
Je Skeets
Yeah, I think Washington. Yeah. So these can be ranked by on court performance, off court wearability, impact on culture. It's sort of up to you. It's your Mount Rushmore. Thanks. That's from Miguel in Austin, who. Can I give a real weird tangent here?
Trey Kirby
Okay.
Je Skeets
This is really for you guys. Austin. We were there recently for the Spurs Suns game.
Trey Kirby
Yes.
Je Skeets
We went down through Ledger. Thanks to Ledger for sending us. Did some content while we were there. We stayed in. I forget the name of it. We were in that one hotel, though. Right. Okay. I am re watching for like the third time now because I love it. The leftovers. Yes. And without spoiling anything, there is a huge part of the leftovers, sort of. Well, okay, I won't say anymore, but they're in a hotel and I'm like. I'm watching it and I'm like, what the hell? It was like. Like in my brain somewhere. Like, I think I've been there. I think I remember walking there. I think I know that pool. Anyway, it's the Austin hotel we stay in.
Trey Kirby
Really?
Je Skeets
Yes.
Trey Kirby
This is just a random hotel.
Je Skeets
I know. And I was like. And then I was so excited. And there's so many parts of it that they use. I'm like, oh, yeah, we were there. We were there. We're there.
Trey Kirby
Anyway, they got all the pink cowboy boots still.
Je Skeets
No, they didn't have those. They didn't show that part. It was a lot about the pool area, that little grassy knoll, and then those stairs that went down to the bottom bar where we chopped it up with those guys about their Canada. USA hockey. Anyway, that's a tangent. Leftovers. You should watch it. Okay. Miguel and Austin wants to know your Mount Rushmore of NBA basketball shoes. And I TK you are the man for this. Yep.
Trey Kirby
This was actually pretty easy for me. I kind of went era by era. So that's how I've organized my mount Rust more. The first shoe that makes it, I guess it would be on the left. The Adidas superstar. Like the original shell toe. One of the first. One of the first basketball shoes that was quite notable. Kareem Abdul Jabbar wore these. Adidas was hugely popular in the 1970s before Nike really started taking over. So that was an easy one to get on there for me. Following that up, we're going to the 1980s. It's the converse weapon. You've seen the hilarious commercial with Magic and Larry Bird. They're trying to rap with these, but they had cool versions for both. Magic had the purple, yellow and white edition. Larry Bird, just black and white standard stuff. So that was an easy one for me. That was my 80s representative.
Je Skeets
Yeah.
Trey Kirby
Then the 90s 2000s generation, it would have been the Jordan one. But in lieu of that, since we got to keep it off. According to Miguel, I'll go with the Jordan 11, the patent leather ones that he wore during the 9596 season when the Bulls became the best team of all time. Still a very cool shoe to see. And the final one I would have to say is the Nike Kobe 5.
Je Skeets
Okay.
Trey Kirby
Debating which Kobe to put on because he really was instrumental in everybody wearing low top shoes. Now the four was the first low top for sure, but the five I think kind of nailed it. And it's still a very popular shoe to this day. The five and the six actually still amongst the most worn shoes that are out there. And once those came around, people were like, wait a second, we can wear low top shoes to play basketball. So that's it for me.
Je Skeets
I like it. So yeah, you went eras. You went. I mean cultural impact. It sure.
Trey Kirby
Definitely. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Je Skeets
And that's the way to go about it. I like. Those are my two favorite. Of course favorite. Kobe's too. Five and six. I probably like six a little bit more. But great shoes. Great shoes. Okay.
Trey Kirby
Toughest one to leave off was the Chuck Taylor but NBA shoe. Not really though. He's in the hall of Fame. Yeah, Chuck Taylor is in the hall of Fame. But yeah, was not an NBA player. Okay, guys, playing these.
Je Skeets
Chuck Taylor was not a problem.
Trey Kirby
No, no.
Je Skeets
All right. Good stuff. That's a fun one for everyone. Let's hear your Mount Rushmore of basketball shoes. All right, final one. World cup inspired NBA overtime is outlawed and all tie games are decided by shootouts. Teams alternate going one on one with the team who starts in defense being able to pick the player to go up against the team with the ball. Everyone must shoot and defend once. Good TV or guys bricking shots. That's from Eberhole by way of blue sky now ugggets are bust. I think on Twitter had a similar idea in light of the World Cup. What if instead of going to multiple overTimes after the first one, the NBA had a shootout? Each starter from each team gets one shot from various locations. Teams have to shoot from the same spot. Players pick their shots. Most points win, good or bad. So two different versions here of deciding an overtime game in the NBA akin to World cup shootouts. I guess the NBA version of it your TE's.
Trey Kirby
I would prefer the one on one versus the just taking a jumper.
Je Skeets
Sure.
Trey Kirby
It is definitely the most like penalty kicks. I don't know if you would rig it so that you can have the same guy be the defender the entire time. The way the goalie stays the same but the offensive player changes. Would it be good tv at least the beginning? I think it would be. I think it'd be fun to try something like this. This people want to see NBA players play one on one. I just watched a guy named Nas play against Archie Goodwin in one of these random one on one games.
Je Skeets
Okay.
Trey Kirby
I'm thinking Archie's gonna kill him, man.
Je Skeets
He's an NBA player.
Trey Kirby
This other guy's name don't ring no bells. That's what Archie kept saying. Another guy won. He's won like 37 straight one on one.
Je Skeets
Just an incredible one on one player.
Trey Kirby
He's just the best one on one player in the world right now.
Je Skeets
Get him on a roster. Exactly.
Trey Kirby
I wonder if those guys would get on rosters and like they get subbed in the last five seconds of the game because, oh, we're going to overtime. We to have our best one on one guy out there. So yeah, NBA players play on one on one. It would be fun to see. And if this has how we do it, sure, give it a shot.
Je Skeets
I like the one on one idea better than nuggets or busts idea. More of like a shooting contest. Although I like, I've said before, I like the shooting contest element for instead of going to replays like who ball? Whose ball is this? Who was it out on? Just do it like we do at the gym, man.
Trey Kirby
Shoot it.
Je Skeets
Shoot for it. That would be fun as hell. I think that would be. But the overtime one on one. And I do like play one overtime. And if we can't decide in five minutes, then we go to this. Try this at summer league.
Trey Kirby
Totally.
Je Skeets
Right? Maybe even the G league, but summer league, absolutely. Try this because then it's like, you know, there's a lot of talk of like, oh, it'd be cool to have a one on one tournament at all star weekend. Well, this is like a nice little like test, I guess. Like, well, how entertaining is it? Let's see what it's like. So there's something here.
Trey Kirby
Here.
Je Skeets
They should give this a go at least at summer league again, maybe G league, but. And then maybe obviously bring it into the NBA. Why not be fun as hell? I think. I think it'd be fun as hell. Maybe it would be garbage. Who knows? Try it out. Good stuff, guys. Great recommendations, great questions. Keep them coming all summer long. Tell us how long summer lasts too, while you're at it. All right, we'll call it there. Coming up on Friday, something different we already pre recorded this podcast. It's four guys pitching you on the next movie franchise we want to recap this summer. It's the movie pitch pod. There are the movies right there. Indiana Jones, Pirates of the Caribbean, Superman and Transformers. Each of us present our case as to why we should recap said franchise. So you're going to be able to vote on this. You're going to watch and listen to the podcast on Friday. Then there's going to be a link over to Substack where you just got to subscribe. You don't got to pay or anything for this one to get your votes in and, you know, make your pick which one who. Maybe, maybe you gotta. I think you gotta wait to see how we pitch it. That might have an impact. You're Laughing at that, J.D.
Trey Kirby
oh, I'm just, I'm legit curious to see where they go.
Je Skeets
I know, I know.
Trey Kirby
There are.
Je Skeets
By the way, I will say, I don't think anyone botched it in their pitch. I thought all four were solid, Compelling, compelling pitches. Yeah.
Trey Kirby
So including myself. Yeah, obviously, four compelling pitches.
Je Skeets
We all took sort of different approaches how we pitch said podcast or pitch a movie franchise. So we've, we've done Fast and Furious, we've done Jurassic Park, Rest in Peace, Sam Neill, and now we're picking our, our third series here. And they range from five movies, I believe, in some cases.
Trey Kirby
Yeah.
Je Skeets
To Superman, which was like getting up to 10 or 11.
Trey Kirby
10 or 11, yeah.
Je Skeets
So. So maybe that plays a part in your vote. It could, yeah. So that is coming on Friday. You're off today for your golfing trip.
Trey Kirby
That's right, that's right.
Je Skeets
Your annual trip. How you feeling? Did you hit the, the range at all? Nope, nope, nope, nope.
Trey Kirby
Haven't hit a golf ball since last year.
Je Skeets
Okay.
Trey Kirby
On this trip, but we were playing ball with Eshua like a couple of weekends ago, and remember I got undercut, fell on my hands, had massive bruises. My thumb has been killing me, but I've been swinging a golf club in my backyard to make sure I'm pain free.
Je Skeets
And it's feeling and you're okay.
Trey Kirby
I'm grooved, Skeets.
Je Skeets
Okay, good. You said that was a part of the reason you didn't come hoop last night too.
Trey Kirby
Yes, had to maintain my health.
Je Skeets
That's smart. That's smart. I have a trip coming up as well. When I was leaving the house, I'll tell you, Nora's like, don't you dare roll a damn angle.
Trey Kirby
That's right.
Je Skeets
Cuz we're going to Croatia and we're going to be walking around a lot of cobblestone, climbing a lot of stairs and walls I think in Dubrovnik. So all good fun run last night. Okay, so that's coming up on Friday. And then next week gets a little different. You know, you're back at some point, tasks will be back. I'm gone for the week, but the content continues. We're on Lebron Watch.
Trey Kirby
Yeah, we are.
Je Skeets
I mean, I guess we'll react. We'll have an emergency podcast if it happens, at least conveniently enough for one of us to jump on and talk about it. Otherwise, hit the subscribe button so you know when we're going live, hit the like button. Five star ratings and reviews. Appreciate all of that. And yeah, look forward to hearing everybody's reaction to Friday's movie pitch podcast. Till then, Clipper Bros. You heard it here first.
Trey Kirby
Have a great time. Turn up. Love you guys. Awesome. Thanks for joining us. Remember, two mice fell into a bucket of cream. The first mouse just drowned, but the second second mouse fought, swam, climbed to the top, went so hard, churned the cream into butter and walked out. I'm the second mouse. I watch Catch me if you can.
Je Skeets
It was going right over my head.
Trey Kirby
It's about we get about 10 minutes out from the end of the show. I'm like, oh, Tass ain't here. You better have something to say. So two mice and a bucket of cream. That's your quote for today.
Je Skeets
And will you guys be seeing the Odyssey? I assume pretty soon? Yeah.
Trey Kirby
I've got two shows booked.
Je Skeets
Oh, Friday and Saturday.

Everything at Quint's is priced 50 to 80% less than similar brands. They work directly with ethical factories and cut out the middlemen. So you're paying for exceptional quality, not brand markup. I've become a bit of a quints guy. I'm not going to lie. I love the 100% European linen relaxed long sleep sleeve shirt. I like this for going out at night. I can't wear a T shirt out to the bar or restaurant. So you throw on this still breathable great look, bunch of different colors. They even have a few limited edition colors so I am a fan of that. This episode of No Dunks is a classic "Beach Steppin'"—the crew’s signature mailbag format—where the hosts field NBA questions from listeners and unpack the offseason’s messiest headlines. The main themes: the drawn-out Kawhi Leonard/Clippers salary cap circumvention investigation, the limbo it creates for several teams and players, and rampant speculation (and theorizing) on how LeBron James will announce his much-anticipated free agency decision. Listeners also get fun rapid-fire on NBA Europe, Hall of Fame trajectories, equipment skills, iconic shoes, and a World Cup-inspired NBA rule crackpottery.
